Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, welcome to Coffee Combos. How are you, Lindsay? I'm good this morning. How are you? I'm good. I have my coffee and my 50 ounces of water. So if you hear me gulping, that's me just trying to stay hydrated. Well, I'm glad one of us is staying hydrated because let me tell you, like water drinking for me is so hard. It is. It really is. That's why I got essential water. It has these 50 ounce bottles and I'm like the other day I finished an entire one and I was so proud of myself. But I'm like, I think you're supposed to drink like half your body weight in fluid ounces.
Starting point is 00:00:43 And so like I should actually be drinking much more than 50 ounces. But my goal is to just at least be able to finish the 50 ounces. And then if I can start doing that, then I can start increasing it from there. And you know, I have to stay extra hydrated because I'm on the Accutane. So yeah, that's just part of the goal of 2019 is to stay fucking hydrated. Oh my God. Speaking of what you just said, do you know how many messages that we have received about people saying that if you don't cuss, they're going to be pissed? Oh good. Well, that's good because I think I've already just not followed through even a little bit on my no cussing 2019 resolution.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Kill. It didn't like even happen for like a minute. It was like. It didn't happen for 24 hours. So yeah. Because you know what? I just feel like unfortunately and as unclassy if that's a word as it is like cussing is a part of me. I am a part of cussing. So it just wouldn't be us and our dynamic and me if I didn't. So I'm definitely going to try to minimize it. But for sure, like I won't stop completely. Yeah, I'm just I'm so glad that like you're to a point of just honesty with yourself because like I knew when you said it, it was a lie. But like, oh wow, it was like a good lie for a minute. Yeah, I do think it was yourself like wishful thinking for sure.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Yeah, I have so much to talk to you about like I literally made a list like a frickin bulleted list of like all the things that I wanted to talk to you about actually today is my anniversary. Happy anniversary. And you know what? Haters are going to say like I can't celebrate it because I probably like went through two separations. So it doesn't count. But like listen, it does people. I've dealt with this man for seven years. So like it counts. It definitely counts. Honestly, separation is not I mean, no, I would say definitely counts even if you guys took that separation break like it definitely counts. Yeah, and I mean, actually I've been with will for 10 years but married seven. And if you guys like want to count the separations then we'll do like 60s.
Starting point is 00:03:19 You know, I mean, that's fine. Honestly, though, I feel like it should be more celebrated because you all did not get divorced. So the anniversary should be even more celebrated because you all made it through all those trials and tribulations and both separations. So that's my opinion. Yeah, so like we were there. We're at are you guys seven years doing anything special. Heck no, I text will this morning and was like when you get home. I'm going to work out and then take a bath and then I'm going to go to bed. So, yeah. I don't know if anything will like happen between those points but yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Speaking of though, working out. I just wanted to give you guys an update because the update. First of all, it's been six long agonizing days since I've had Coca Cola classic. Okay. And like the sparks really like pulling me through. But I'm just going to tell you trying to break a habit is really freaking hard, like really. Oh, absolutely. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Six days. I didn't think I would get six minutes. Honestly, that's like me with with cussing but yeah, I breaking a habit is so, so, so, so hard. I don't care if it's something as little as like, I don't know the way that you the way that you put your socks on in the morning or, you know, just like little habits. I don't care how big or how small like they are so hard to break. Yeah. So anybody who's out there that's also trying to break bad habits, just know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I felt like death for six days and it's been six days.
Starting point is 00:05:13 So I haven't seen that light, but I know I'm getting there. Well, have you heard this saying 21 days to make a habit. So I wonder if it's the same as breaking a habit like does it take 21 days to break the habit or. Hell, I feel like it'll be a lifetime. Honestly, that's like me trying to go to the gym. I can give you guys an update on working out. Please, please give us that update. So on Monday, first of all, I'm supposed to be in Mexico right now on the beach enjoying life.
Starting point is 00:05:47 But I decided that it was in my best interest to stay home, work, go to the gym. I can't be in the sun on Accutane anyway, and it's supposed to thunderstorm all week in Cancun. So I said, fuck it, we're not going. And so that was Sunday. I didn't get on my plane and then, which I didn't cancel by the way, I just didn't go on it. And then, and then Monday, I went back to CrossFit. Javi did give me a hard time about not going to his gym, but I said I'm comfortable at CrossFit Dover. And that's kind of been like my home base gym on and off for the past three or four years.
Starting point is 00:06:26 So I went back to CrossFit Dover, had a brutal workout, and it was great. And I felt good afterwards. And then yesterday went to Planet Fitness, which is just like a regular gym. Because sometimes I don't know if you guys CrossFit or not, but CrossFit schedules are very different from like a regular gym. Like you can't just show up at CrossFit anytime of the day. There's specific hours. So I couldn't really make it work with my schedule yesterday. And then today, once we're done podcasting, I'm going back to CrossFit.
Starting point is 00:06:51 And honestly, I have wanted to die for the past three days or felt like I was going to die in the past three days from working out. So it's a little bit different than your Coca-Cola classic situation. But I know that there's light at the end of the tunnel. And if I could do this for 21 days, hopefully I'll be back at my 2016 body. Well, let me just tell you that I've been to the gym one time since we talked last, which is not a good record. Solid. Solid. Okay. Like it's just really not.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I've worked out at home, but it's hard. Like Jackson's had so much stuff going on and then like trying to find the time to go. And then by the time we'll get home, I'm just like, oh my gosh, like we celebrated birthday at school yesterday. So it's just like a million things going on. And then I just have those three hours, you know, like between him going and picking up. So this week, it just wasn't doable. But I know next week is going to be much better. Because once I get into a routine, it's fine. It's just like small little things that like throws wrenches in your plans and you're like, oh, damn, like now I missed today.
Starting point is 00:08:03 So I would definitely encourage people that are listening. If you have that like random day that you can't go to the gym, just like get outside and walk or do like one of the 10 minute videos that we talk about or just like something at home just so that you don't miss. Because I do feel like when you get comfortable missing, then that's where like the bad habits starts of just like not going all together. Right. Yeah. I mean, that's that is a really good point. Obviously, there's the eating and the diet side of going to the gym and stuff. And I think that's where I struggle. Like I have no problem going to the gym and working out. Like that's not my problem.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I think that my problem comes with the eating. But the boys had basketball practice on Saturday and somebody was telling me about the blood type diet and I had never heard of this and I'm not. I'm not advocating for this or against it. I just it's something that I heard over the weekend and I know nothing about it, but I do. I did find out my blood type. So we talked about this before, didn't we about the blood type diet. Did you remember I was talking about like being type A and then like, what was it that we were talking about that? Maybe we did.
Starting point is 00:09:20 But I I guess like when I went back to CrossFit on Monday, I was talking to the owner. I was like kind of telling him just in conversation like what my struggles are and stuff. He already knows he knows me pretty well. But I had mentioned the blood type diet and he said that like something like that would he doesn't know anything about it, but he said that something like that. Just hearing the little bit would make more sense to him than like a keto diet because like obviously the keto diet is not sustainable over time. Like you can't you can't do that for like months and months and months. Like that's just not healthy. I don't know anything about the blood type diet, but now that I know my blood type, I want to kind of look into it because.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Lindsay, I'm at the point right now where it's like, obviously I need to lose weight. I'm the biggest I've ever been. But my boobs like even at CrossFit, they are spilling out over my sports bras. They're flopping around. They're not fucking cute. Like I like I don't know if I told you, but like I did go see a surgeon. Did I tell you this? Well, you told me like a while ago that you went.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Yeah. Like so, but I'm at the point where it's like, I kind of want to go. I guess we did talk about that. So that was a while ago. I definitely want to go get a second opinion because I feel like at this point, I don't know how much the weight loss is going to affect my boobs. And obviously like I need to work out like my pectoral muscles and stuff, but like they're so heavy and just like flop. Like when I run at the gym, I literally have to hold them even though I'm wearing a sports bra. I used to know this girl that wore like three sports bras because her boobs were so big just to like contain them.
Starting point is 00:11:02 So maybe while you're on the like weight loss journey, maybe you just like triple up the sports bras and deal with it. I can barely get one off though. Like how would I get three of them off? I don't know. Maybe you buy those kind that like have the clasp in the front like the sports bra. I might just tape them down or just tape them. I mean, that sounds like a bit excessive, but like, you know, like you do what you have to do. Like I just, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:32 But Lord, like if those things are flopping all over the place, like we might need to like look into some help. Honestly, I don't know how much like I'm going to do this weight loss thing. So I was talking to my friend Lindsay, my other friend Lindsay, you know, or Lindsay Nicholson. We've had her on the podcast before and like we just talked about like maybe we'll work out for this year. Like we'll maybe we'll give ourselves like six to eight months. And then in the fall, if we're still not where we want to be, like as far as boobs go, like we would maybe get the reductions because I mean this is not an implant problem. This is a fat problem. Like my.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Okay, ladies, can we talk about underwear for a second because we're definitely going there. Why is it that underwear for dudes is always about having extra support and being super techie. Whereas women's brands seem to be all about how my boobs need to be suffocating or how little fabric they put in a thong. You see the difference there. So the good thing is that an underwear brand out there for us that focus solely on being super comfortable and it's me undies. It's true. Me undies uses the coveted micro modal fabric, which is three times softer than cotton. This fabric genuinely feels like actual heaven against your skin.
Starting point is 00:12:45 We know that you're going to love this brand just as much as we do. I am personally obsessed with me undies. I'm a big fan of nice undergarments, but I like them to be comfortable and also cute. So I wear the cheeky briefs and the thongs and they also have great lounge wear and it would be so great for a Valentine's gift. That is actually a really good idea for a gift. But why stop at undies this year. Me undies offers matching lounge pants with Lindsay loves brolets and onesies as well. So all of which are made from the same micro modal fabric as their undies.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Me undies has a great offer for our listeners and for any first time purchasers. When you order me undies, you get 15% off and free shipping. So that's obviously a no brainer. So whether you want to try their classic colors, go bold or even adventurous, get 15% off your first pair free shipping and 100% satisfaction guarantee by going to meet undies.com slash coffee. That's 15% off your first pair free shipping and 100% satisfaction guarantee at me undies.com slash coffee. I feel like a lot of people can probably relate to this like I was a part of the itty bitty titty community. So like I can't but you know, there are some people that can relate. I feel certain it just sucks because like we've talked about before in the podcast, like I literally look so much bigger than I actually am.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Because of how big my boobs are and like the way that my clothes lay on me and the way that they fit me. I look, I mean, I am definitely bigger than I normally am at this time, but my boobs don't help. So anyway, we don't have to, you know, take up the whole podcast talking about my tits, but I just kind of wanted to update you on that. I wanted to talk about the fact that, okay, everybody knows that I love Chick-fil-A and I want to give everybody an update about this because first of all, Wait, time out. Did you know they have an app? Yes, of course. Oh, like where have you been? Apparently not at Chick-fil-A.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Well, apparently not in the United States. Like everybody knows. I'm in Mexico right now. Everybody knows. So, um, yeah. Okay. I have gone like a while without having Chick-fil-A and it's just because I don't know if there's something like in the food that like makes my stomach not feel good or what it is, but it always like makes me feel bad. And so I was like, you know what, I'm just going to test it out.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Like I basically have Chick-fil-A running through my veins, so I just need to like detox and see like what's going on. And then I had it again and like it didn't make me feel bad. So I'm like, okay, maybe I was just like sick or maybe I just eat it too often. Maybe it should be like more, you know, like an occasional thing. So in the meantime of this, like hiatus up the street from me, they have built a brand new Chick-fil-A. And it's literally like I turn out of my house, get on the main road and it's like on the corner heading to Jackson school. So I'm like, okay, awesome. How convenient.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Like I'm watching the coax like as I'm driving by, like probably being poured into the nice Styrofoam cups, but like, okay, whatever. So, um, yeah, it's like the grand opening and yesterday I drove by yesterday morning and I noticed there was like some tents outside and I'm like, okay, like people are obviously very excited about this. You have campers like this is crazy. So then yesterday late afternoon after I finished like all my appointments, pick Jackson up from school, everything. I come by, they literally have the local high school out there with the band with the football players with the cheerleaders like this whole performance at the Chick-fil-A and tents that looks like a campground like at the Chick-fil-A and I'm like, okay, this isn't okay. Um, obviously it's causing traffic and it just, it's too much. It's excessive. Um, yeah, these people were camping out waiting for free chicken.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I don't understand that. But you get it for a year. But that's something that you probably should have had will sit outside for them. I wouldn't even have will sit outside for it. Like I wouldn't just because that's weird, like I don't know, like it's just, it's weird. I don't feel like that's something you like camp for. I mean, some people really need it. Like, is there a college nearby because if there is, then people college students probably need that. Well, yeah, I mean, I could see that if you have nothing else going on, but like, I don't know what the rules are.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Like, is it like, okay, um, you give up like your whole work day, like two days, like camping, like this has been going on for the past two days. So like, is this like a 48 hour or deal where I'm giving up like all my other life obligations to like sit for free chicken because like I'm not really sure that at that point it would be worth it. And like, what are the rules? Are you allowed to set up a camp thing and then like leave and come back? Or do you like lose your spot? Like how many people get the free stuff? Like, how pissed would you be if you went and sat up there for 48 hours? And then they started handing out free chicken cards and then you were like a person that didn't get it. Oh, see that would be that would bother me. That would for sure bother me if I waited and I didn't get it. So, I mean, that's just a risk that you have to be willing to take if you're diehard Chick-fil-A fan, then go for it. Live your dream. Live your best life.
Starting point is 00:18:29 And I also think that, um, okay, so when I first heard about like the Chick-fil-A things about these grand openings, because I'd never been really by Chick-fil-A that was like a grand opening or whatever, you know, like, already like preexisting. So, for first, when I heard about these chicken cards, I was like, oh, wow, that's a pretty sweet gig. Like you go, you have nothing else to do because back when I heard about it, I was like in high school. So I'm like, oh, you have nothing else to do. Like you can go and camp out like one of these places and then just get like free chicken for a whole year. Like whatever you want from Chick-fil-A. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's not how it works. It's a chicken sandwich, one chicken sandwich every day for 365. So I'm like, I don't even order the chicken sandwich. So like, I don't even think that would be a thing for me.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Uh, one Chick-fil-A sandwich every day for 365 would not be worth it for me when I have three kids. I would want chicken nuggets. Yeah, and like, for all of my family. Like I think it's only like one, like I think it's like one. So like if you go and you like get the card, it's like one chicken sandwich like individually for you. You can't like take that card in there and get like for your family. It's not like three chicken sandwiches. Oh yeah, no. So I'm just like, okay, no. So I mean enough about Chick-fil-A. I just wanted to let you guys know that. Yeah, it's causing traffic and I don't like it. So. It's causing traffic and I don't like it. Yeah, we don't appreciate traffic either.

Starting point is 00:21:39 Speaking of though, school and stuff, how is Locke's adjusting? Okay, so there are tears a little bit in the morning, but like throughout the day, the teacher will kind of just update me. Well, she updates me once a day. I'm lying. It's not like all day, but she updates me once a day. And then when I dropped him off this morning, the owners of the little school were like, oh, he is adjusting really well. Like after you leave in the morning, like he's happy, he's dancing, he's playing, he's smiling. So that makes me so happy. And I've noticed, I know this is going to sound so crazy to you. Locke doesn't really, he doesn't really talk. He's like more like he's learning how to talk, obviously, but in just like four days of school, I noticed that he's trying more than he was before he went to school to say certain things like new sounds already.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Like I'm so just like, it's crazy how much they learn so quick at that age. Yeah, they're like sponges. They like absorb everything. I love that. Yeah, I'm really, I'm really happy that I started in the program and as expensive as it is for just like, it's like pre preschool, but also daycare, like all those types of things are so expensive sometimes. But honestly, for Lux, I feel like it's so worth it. And, you know, I think it's been really hard for me to do get work done around the house, obviously, when I have them. So it's kind of a break from both of us and he does need to, he has separation anxiety from me. He can't, I can't even be around him and Chris without him like wanting to be up my butt. So it's like, I think that the separation between me and him will be better, not only for like his sanity, my sanity, but also for him and Chris's relationship,
Starting point is 00:23:30 because, you know, he has to learn to be around other people besides just me. Gosh, I know, I know. And actually, I had like a breakdown this weekend. Actually, it happened on Friday, because do you ever just like feel like your kids are being disrespectful. And it's because they don't realize like what life is if it like wasn't great. And you give your kids so much and you're the person that's like around them probably the most and so they like take more advantage of you than they would somebody else. Yeah. Well, Jackson was kind of doing that and I finally just like put my foot down I'm like, listen, like, no, no, no, no, I told Will I was like, I have basically stopped like what I would normally be doing for life for like six years to give my whole time like my undivided dedicated attention. And this is the way that I get repaid like it's not okay like it's it's really not okay so yeah, you were talking about like having like a little bit of trouble with Isaac. Jackson doesn't really get in trouble at school it's just right now at home. It's testing those boundaries with me like how far can he push the envelope until I break and it's just like okay nobody like when I tell you no that doesn't mean to come back and ask me in five minutes like no, no, that's not happening. No, no. So I finally was just like on Friday I'd had enough. And I said, Listen, bring me the tablet, bring me the sky zone pass, bring me, you know, like I was being so dramatic.
Starting point is 00:25:20 I was like, bring me this bring me that. And he's like, What are you doing with all my things I said I'm sorry. I'm like, No, no, no, that's not how sorry works like you're sorry because you want your things like you're not sorry because you're actually sorry. So I made a huge difference. It's a huge difference and I'm like, No, no, I made him sweat it all weekend. Like I made him think that like he wasn't getting this guy's own pass back like, and then I heard him talking to Will and he's like, Well, who, who got me that sky zone pass can mommy take it from me and say it doesn't matter who got you this guy's own pass. It doesn't matter if your Bob Bob and Papa got you this guy's own pass because guess what, I'm the person that has to take you. And my car is the form of transportation. So doesn't matter the sky zone pass doesn't get used unless I take you. Oh, speaking of that sky zone pass I went to because we jump at sky zone all the time. And this was our second time in a month. And they don't offer the sky zone 365 pass at ours. It was annoying. Yeah, I was really frustrated because it was like, Listen, I have three fucking kids. And for me to bring them as much as I do and pay full price every time is really frustrating so that pass would have been great. They said that our location it was only a Cyber Monday deal. And it was only like limited and then they do like 10 jumps for the price of eight. So I obviously did that but we use then four of them because I brought my nephew, and I was super annoyed. Well, okay, first of all, Cyber Monday that doesn't even make any sense because that's already like after Christmas so obviously people aren't buying them for their kids for Christmas like I just feel like that placement of time is like so weird.
Starting point is 00:27:15 And Cyber Mondays in November. Oh just kidding. It is. Isn't it I thought it was the Monday after Black Friday. Yeah, that's right. That's right. Just kidding. Okay, scratch that guys scratch that. It makes sense, whatever. Let's talk about something that I think a lot of you guys can relate to. Starting point is 00:29:37 Somebody asked us on Sunday you posted a snapchat of you cooking breakfast. And people wanted to know this like multiple people why your pot of butter was so big. Because I have three kids and I use butter a lot. It's just like the country what is it called like country crock or something. I just we used the butter on the bagels and I just bought a huge container so it would last. Do people not do that is that not a thing. I mean I don't know. I don't know I just saw it I was like oh wow that kind of is large but like it's probably normal I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I've seen it before I just never bought it before actually wills bought it before that's a lie wills bought it before. That's why will doesn't get to go grocery shopping. He does weird stuff he goes and buys like 12 pounds of butter and I'm like hmm not really necessary. Yeah no I just thought that you know it'll last a long time and you know. You would be the person that would like go and buy that large ass thing of butter and like let your kids be dipping into it like you would. I mean Jackson Jackson's not allowed to butter his own stuff like no. I did want to touch on that thing that you sent me about the statistic approximately 75% of women murdered by their abusive partners are killed when they try to end a relationship. That is psycho.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Yep. That is psycho and it's like it's actually really heartbreaking because I've seen that kind of thing on like the ID channel of course I have and you know just to think about I have been in an abusive relationship like could you imagine like I have kids to live for so it's hard for it's just hard to think about you know. Yeah and what are the clues that like you're going to get murdered. You know what I mean like. Yeah. Yep. It's just one of those things where like. But I think it's always one of those things where it's like you don't really know until after the fact like.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Yeah there's so many. You're ignoring red flags. There's so many people though that say like did you not see the red flags or like there's so many. So this brings me to the R Kelly thing because I was watching watching the docu series and they have clinical psychologists on there talking about this like you know the abuser in an abusive relationship right so there's psychological factors that play into because a lot of the times you blame the victim like didn't you see the red flags why didn't you leave you didn't try hard enough you know things like that and it's just like there are psychological factors that that kind of are involved in this that prevent the victim from leaving and also just not necessarily even ignoring the red flags but just being in this cycle. It's a lot harder to leave than what you think unless you're in the situation you know what I mean so it's always easy for an outsider to be like oh you should have done this you could have done that but when you're in it you don't. necessarily see things that way and so they said that it takes an average of seven times.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Before a person seven attempts of leaving before they're actually able to leave and then just like I sent you the statistics 75% of them was it 75% yeah 75% of them you know are killed. At that point so I it's it's hard. Did you get a chance to watch the R Kelly docu series. No so I started recording it because I have direct TV so I don't have on demand but I started recording it last night so I'm going to watch but just to like touch up on the. Disney grandpa or dad or whoever it was Tony Westmoreland I think. There was a lot of negative comments that people were saying that I was being insensitive to the situation saying that people ask for it by the way that they're dressed and I think people took what I said out of context. And people were saying that like you said stuff to and. By what people were saying that it was their interpretation of what they wanted to take from it not what was actually said what I said was that we live in an age where social media.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Is you know girls want to be older than what they are and when you're dressing and your parents are allowing you to do like all of these things and everything is so sexualized that that's where. A lot of the predatory stuff like comes into play I think I think that you know men see or women you know there's women predators to see you know these young kids like dress like this and even though that person is like a six person that might be what. Attracts them to that I'm not saying that that's the victims fault or. Anything like that because a predator is a predator is a predator you know it's wrong and should not be going on and. I think that. You know it's not parents fault I don't want people to just think that I was being insensitive to the situation I'm just saying that. I think with social media access to things I think that's why we maybe hear more about it now I think that's why it may be more prevalent. I don't know and maybe maybe we do hear about it more now because of social media because more things come out maybe it's been going on.
Starting point is 00:35:38 As much for a long time I do think that. When you want when you finally do watch the R Kelly thing that you're going to get. A different perspective of. Of the predator thing because only because. R Kelly. Obviously this doesn't go across the board for all predators I'm just speaking on what I saw. He. Would it had nothing to do with what the girls wore he just liked and likes I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Young girls as young as 14 years old when he was almost 30 so it I don't think that. At least in the docu series and talk about what kind of things these girls would wear anything like that it was just the fact that he liked. Young girls and. They did talk about like the one of the psychologists said that it was more of when you are. And again this I'm not a doctor I'm not a psychologist I'm just going off what I saw. R Kelly was molested as are a lot of sexual predators and at a very young age they confuse sex with power and. And stuff like that and so I don't know if it necessarily has anything to do with what people are wearing or how they're acting. It may or may not I don't know I'm not a doctor I didn't say I was but.
Starting point is 00:37:02 He just like young girls and that's where it's like sick so yeah I just don't understand like how you can. And it might sound insensitive but I don't understand how you can be 30 but like somebody who's 14 like to me that's just. Weird or like just only be attracted to people in that age bracket. He said that in when they showed like interviews and stuff like that that. He felt as though like his sexual. I don't want to say desires his sexual. What's the word I'm looking for like when you become sexually active essentially hit those kinds of curiosities and things were kind of brought. Brought up to him and awaken way before that they should have been right so like if you're.
Starting point is 00:37:51 Seeing sex having sex being sexually abused from such a young age you're kind of more aware of those things and you know. Moving forward you're more likely I believe. To then repeat those same things done to you as you get older and then I think that's where. You have to watch it honestly it it's really hard for me to like sit here and think about it because it I'm like disturbed and I have nothing to do with it. I cannot believe that people in the industry have let it let it go on for so long and he was acquitted of pretty much everything he was found not guilty. And then like on the completely other side of it the 14 year old that was on the tape. Claim that it wasn't her and so did her parents they like denied that it was her. Oh wow and so I'm like.
Starting point is 00:38:42 You know there are obviously it's hard for victims to come forward and I'm guilty of it too I never. Because people don't believe you or they do blame the victim and so it's like you're supposed to go to these people that you trust when something happens to you. But you don't know if they're going to listen to you if they're going to believe you they don't take you seriously nothing happens and then you're scared. There's a lot of things that play into it but in this instance it was like you know she had people advocating for her. And she didn't her and her family they didn't they said it wasn't her on the tape and then the basketball coach the aunt other than another young girl who was in videos as well that was being abused by our Kelly had testified that it was her. And she still didn't come forward and so he got he was found not guilty and it's just like the fact that his team would go basically scout like our Kelly would say oh I like that girl oh I like that girl knowing full well they were underage and he would still. His team would get them for him and it was so sick what makes it more sick like the people that are going and seeking these girls out knowing that this person has like such a problem. Like that's just not it's not okay I've known about the R Kelly thing for a long time but I didn't see I didn't know I had no the only thing that I remember as.
Starting point is 00:40:03 I remember as a kid like hearing or younger rather hearing about the video where he's like peeing all over this girl and that's and then they made it like a joke. It was became like a punchline and stuff like it was you know but you have to remember this is a 14 year old girl this is not someone who's of age and is participating like. Essentially willingly participating in these crazy sex acts like that's not what this is this is a child this is. I just wrong on so many levels and then I do remember vaguely hearing about the fact that he married a Leah the singer when she was 15. And people definitely thought that was strange and they talk about that too I'm just like. People yeah they worked for him but he was paying his victims off. He paid a Leah like $100 I want to say to not press criminal charges. Once their marriage was annulled $100.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Yeah yeah and then he paid other girls you know $1000 stuff like that I think I don't remember if it was 17. There was like 17 counts of like child pornography or something like that he was dropped on all of them and essentially he was getting sued left and right but settling outside of court so he was essentially paying the families off. But like the fact that this went on and there were that many and nobody stopped him. Nobody said he was a problem he made good song so we're just going to kind of sweep all this stuff under the rug and I mean to this day he's probably still making money and thriving. The fact that he was doing all of this stuff and had a team behind him like facilitating the thing makes even more sick because it's like when you watch it you'll be sick to your stomach you'll be sick to your stomach. That's just that's horrible and and while this was going on Lindsay his wife was locked up in in their house and she wasn't allowed to leave. No, no, like that's that's like almost like cult behavior you know what I mean it's like maybe like his own cult or something like he's the only member of it or something like that's just. No, I think he has a God complex like for real things that he's God or something I don't know.

So another thing that we love about quip is that the brush heads are automatically delivered on a dentist recommended schedule every three months for just $5 you can even order prepaid refills for a year to make sure you never use old or worn out and ineffective bristles. Kind of like on a different note but the same people were asking on the Instagram about, you know, when we talked about the whole Bristol thing and what she had said about, you know, hating being on teen mom or whatever it was that was on her Instagram I forget like the whole thing but you said that you could like totally relate to it and people were talking about, you know, like, you know these things but you stick around and like why is that the case like obviously they got you when you were 16 years old young and probably easily manipulated why why stay and I think people don't realize like it's more than that. Yeah, I it's always hard for me because I'm going to be honest like I just saw a trailer of the new trailer of myself for this new season and
Starting point is 00:45:00 again they don't show me before air so I already am annoyed. They didn't text it to me. They didn't text it to me or anything and I didn't think it was a bad scene but the comments I haven't seen really one positive comment about it and it just made me like rethink about how am I exploiting my family at what what effect is this going to have on, you know, my kids and I think that all my kids, at least for Isaac and Lincoln so far they, they handle things very very differently and I don't know what the difference of being on Teen Mom is going to do but why do I stay it's like I mean for the past 10 years this is all I've known and so yeah there are there are bad parts of it but there's also good that comes with it too so you know I've used this platform to launch into other things my books my hairline my podcast like there's you know all these things that provide for my children and feed my children and I'm able to put my kids in a good school my kids have trust funds you know my kids aren't going to have to worry about any anything in those aspects. So I think that it's just one of those things that you'll never understand unless you're in it but you also don't wish it on anyone. And I think that's that goes obviously for the same thing as like the victims of you know the the predators because you don't know it's it's very easy to blame to blame them it's you know I'm not comparing it to so don't ever think that I'm comparing you know my life to to that because I'm not comparing I'm just saying you know why stay is you know if you know you know yeah yeah like it's just not it's not that easy to answer
Starting point is 00:46:42 and I think until you're in it you just kind of don't understand I mean I don't I can't think of one person. Well let me let me take that back I think Susie our producer she probably won't wouldn't go back to reality TV I don't think didn't she say that or did she not. Yeah so like yeah but like for us I other than her like I can't think of anyone that was in reality TV that doesn't try to get back I know Spencer and Heidi got out of the way they complained about reality TV you know the whole time they were on it and then they were off and now the now all of a sudden they want to be back on so it's like I don't know it's a weird it's a weird thing. I don't really have any truly negative feelings about it I mean there's just like certain things that come along with certain territory you know it's like a job you know you have a traveling sales job and then you start your day and then you get your assignment that you're going you know somewhere for a week it's like you can't bitch if you knew about it you know it's like I think a lot of people were saying that for your specific situation and other girls like within the franchise they get you at 16 and you don't know what you're getting yourself into and then it's almost like once you're in it it's too late at the point like once you have enough sense to know it's too late and I think that there's just so much more to all of it than what people actually realize you know it's like it's a job it's like and what's the alternate like for me it's like no MTV doesn't force me into my contract yeah we have contracts but they're not going to hold me you know on the show if I if I truly want to get out and and and that and I understand
Starting point is 00:48:33 that but it's like what's the alternative right now it's like first of all everyone bitches about their job at some point about yeah that's what I'm saying like you can and that's what it is for me it's like I can't I'm not going to love every time I expect of it but at the same time it's like what is the alternative of for me to go to a nine to five in Dover Delaware where I can't really even use my degree and I would have to do something else that I might not be I might complain about more do you know what I'm saying so it's like you have to weigh the pros and cons and sometimes there are more cons than pros but ultimately at the end of the day like I'm I'm fine you know overall just obviously talking about it like anyone else does about their job but you've told me like yeah it's hard to watch back stuff and you know I've shared the same thing with you but ultimately the amount of people that are relating and being able to be helped through the stories is greater than like the pain of whatever you're suffering through for the brief period of time because right you know being in reality TV news today somebody else is news tomorrow I hope all of our listeners are treating themselves well this new year if you're looking for the perfect way to spoil yourself without having to spend a bundle look no further than Brooklyn and these are luxury sheets at an affordable price Brooklyn and sheets were named the winner of the best online betting category by good housekeeping not only that but they currently have over 30,000 five star reviews that's more than any other online betting company you spend a third of your life in sheets anyway so you might as well have good ones right Plus these sheets don't just feel amazing but they look great to you can mix and match more than 20 colors and patterns to suit your style. I saw this crazy thing about this person like at a convenience store that was charging for like lottery tickets but the people like weren't buying lottery tickets. What super crazy so in Kansas. Um, this customer actually like went to the news and said that the cashier charged her a dollar over what her purchase was so that so that the cashier could play the lottery and
Starting point is 00:52:02 what that's stealing so wouldn't it be her money. If he won. Well I mean yeah but the thing is is when the customer asked for a receipt because she knew that she had been charged like a dollar extra. The cashier refused to give her a seat and so then this woman like calls the corporate office, and then they confirmed that her debit card had been charged for an additional lottery ticket. And this person was saying that who knows how many people that this cashier had done it to on an eight hour shift her track like the transaction only took four minutes so it could have happened. Tons and tons of times, but yeah, like I wonder how many times that that actually happens that stuff like that happens because whenever I go to the gas station I just put whatever I'm getting up there like I don't even like think about it. Well, I don't ask they'll ask me do you want to receive and unless I'm, it's work or and like I'm filming I don't ask for a receipt. So, you know, like this morning I went I bought two waters, a bagel and a coffee. I haven't, you know, 977 or whatever it was do you want to receive no and they close the drawer so I just keep it moving. I don't know. Yeah, like imagine what I mean it's like stealing but clever like it's crafty but also like you're going to get caught you can't do that I mean I'm for sure he probably lost his job. Yeah, like, I'm pretty sure because that's theft and can be proven. However, um, like, who thinks of doing that.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Who thinks of like not me. Oh, I'm going to hit this woman up like for an additional dollar like I wonder if that person that's doing it. Like wouldn't you think that they would be like a little bit smarter when you think that before they finished the transaction, they would be like, would you like a receipt and then like if the person said no, then like, okay I'm going to like hit him up for $1 for a lottery ticket and then like finish the transaction. But this person was not smart I don't guess maybe they were smart maybe this was just like a one time that they got caught but they done it like a lot of times. It sounds like they've probably done it a lot of times. And how do you notice that like you've been charged a dollar extra. That's well see that's the other thing is like, I'm probably not going to notice if it was $1 if I'm buying like what my purchase this morning at Walla to waters a bagel and a coffee. I'm for sure going to know it came in 977 I'm going to for sure know if I got charged $5 because I'm going to say $15 for all of this that doesn't really make sense. But if it's $1 if he would have told me 1077 I would have said okay because these are 50 ounce waters like I would have been like okay.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Yeah. And plus I would have just like assumed like oh it was probably like after tax and stuff. Yeah, I wouldn't even think anything of it. Sure. Like what a scammer. Truly. Yeah, scam artist extraordinaire. I can't deal with it.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Oh, and remember the Colorado woman that we were talking about that her fiance was arrested for her murder but they still haven't found the body. Yes. Okay, so remember how whenever I was telling you the story about it how her phone was pinged like in Idaho. Yes. Okay, so yes her phone pinged in Idaho and now there is a woman that was suspected of disposing the missing mom's phone. So like did he hire her to like drive it to Idaho. But then that means that she was involved somehow and that makes me sick. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:01 And they don't know if there was like a hired person that actually committed the crime and he just like hired them out to do it or if he did it and there was like another person with him like there's so many missing pieces of it and I'm just disgusted truly I'm disgusted. That's really disturbing. That's like really, really disturbing. And then did you see where there was that woman that was in a vegetative state that was pregnant like and then gave birth. Did you see that. No. Don't even act like you didn't see it. I didn't see it. What is it? I need answers.
Starting point is 00:56:50 I this is intriguing. Okay, so. First of all, so sad, because any sick person that would impregnate. No, no, no, let me back up, not even impregnate any sick person that would. Even like the thoughts would cross their mind to inappropriately touch somebody that was in a vegetative state knowing that they have zero like way to defend themselves or to like say no. They don't have that ability like the fact that you would even remotely touch them in that manner is disgusting. I didn't think that that's what you were going to say. I thought what what went through my head instantly was maybe this person was already pregnant and then was in a coma or something like that.
Starting point is 00:57:52 That's what I thought you were going to say and then, you know, the baby actually made it and gave birth. I didn't realize that this was somebody got someone essentially raped somebody. Yes. No, it was okay. That is not what I thought that you where you were going with this at all. So Arizona police are investigating her rape and she was in a nursing facility and like workers were literally shocked when she went into labor because they didn't even know that she was pregnant. And she had been in a vegetative state at this specific facility for at least 14 years after like she had had a drowning incident. Oh my gosh, she gave birth to a baby boy and nobody knows who did this to her.
Starting point is 00:58:46 And basically, they are investigating like all of the people that would have come in contact with her. So, yeah, like they that is so scary and sad and heartbreaking on all levels. Like, how do you know, did they say how old the woman was? They didn't say like how old she was, but how they even knew that like she was going into labor was that they heard like a moaning sound and didn't know what was wrong with her. And there was a nurse that went in there and she was the one that actually ended up delivering the baby. And at this point they have now dispatched people to like go out and do safety checks and like health checks on all members of this facility. But there is a criminal investigation obviously that's going on. But the woman that was in the vegetative state she obviously requires around the clock care.
Starting point is 00:59:56 So, with it being around the clock care, there's a lot of people that are involved because she is being taken care of 24 hours a day. Well, then obviously it has to be somebody who works there. Right. So, but they're going to go back and check all this. I mean, it takes time to do something like that. And he would have had to know who was coming in and out and at what times in order for him to know that he had enough time to do something like this. Okay, what I'm about to ask is probably ignorant and I don't mean any harm by it. When you're in a vegetative state or something something like a coma or anything like like that. Do you feel pain or do those receptors are they not?
Starting point is 01:00:49 I don't know. I wonder if because she was in a vegetative state. Okay, because I was one like, I mean it makes me wonder like I don't know what she have ever had cramping like would would I just don't know what that's like so would they have known that she was in pain. Yeah, like they probably didn't know she was in pain they had no idea until because I think your body like naturally, at least for me with Lux especially like your body naturally like, even if I didn't want to make a sound. Like my body naturally like was making like, oh my god, like I'm pushing on a baby but I wonder what they have known that she was in pain prior to that I guess is what I'm trying to say. I don't know and I obviously not I don't know if like she already is on pain medication to get I don't know you know like what that where was this again. Did you say it was in Arizona and now they're like saying you know this. You know this facility, which you can't blame like the whole facility, however, for like one person's actions, however, I feel like any, like any doctor's office like if you have a minor child like if Jackson went in for a physical like when he gets older and the doctor or the nurses female. There has to be another person that comes in to like, yeah, oversee, you know like what's going on.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Even for me like when I go to the OB or whatever like, my, my doctor is a male, he always has to have a female nurse nurse right yeah so I don't see like why that wouldn't have already been like enforced at this nursing facility. If a male is going in to check on a female, why a female wouldn't be accompanying that male. You know what I think so many things and I'm not just speaking for the entire facility but like just in general. Sometimes I feel like establishments will kind of just like let things slide or not really fall, follow the rules in a situation like this because it was a facility and she was in a vegetative state like they kind of took advantage of that and let like subpar things like they were just being irresponsible and not following what should have happened and I think that you're right like whether they're you know they need around the clock care or not they should have he should have had you know a woman with with him. Yeah, like irregardless like no matter what there should have been a female that was accompanying him but I think establishments just let shit happen and they don't. You know they don't think that anything's going to happen or you know and it's it's sad like they just don't care. And the baby was fine like how crazy is that like with no prenatal care nobody knew new yeah nobody. Wow.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Nobody knew and I wonder where the baby goes. It's just crazy to me because then I think about you know just as a mother. I think about like all the things so I'm like okay who was bathing her and like when nobody knew her belly was growing right yeah like nobody knew any of that like how or did they know this like is it notice that for nine months she didn't get a period like obviously if this woman is getting around the clock care she's having now all of a sudden she doesn't have a period and she's got a big belly like did someone know and they didn't say anything did you know what I'm saying like it's all these questions and now it's like not only is this child going to grow up and not have you know a mother actively involved but not going to know who the father is and you know moving forward it's like what kind of you know it just the whole situation that's crazy I where do you find these articles. Just like randomly like I'll just be like on the Internet and I'll just like see it and I'm like what the heck and. Okay I just don't believe the article like I just believe that like somebody knew about it like I truly do because I feel like it's coming out. It's like coming out because they had to maybe report it to the Department of Health or something or obviously like her family insurance like something they had to report it and so then maybe that's where it got involved but maybe they just knew about it and let it
Starting point is 01:05:17 ride for like nine months until she actually gave birth like how can you not know if she's being taken care of the way she should be taking care of then you should know and like would they have not done any type of like lab work on her or anything in nine months. Right, or like the family hasn't come in and noticed any like nobody know like maybe she doesn't have family but I mean I don't know it sounds like a lot of negligence on it falls at all not just the person who did it but also the whole facility because it sounds like because if she's having around the clock around the clock care surely that's not just one person so there's tons of people in and out who knows if she has family visiting or visitors or you know stuff like that so I think in a situation like this the whole facility is responsible. Exactly yeah. And then just since we talked about bird box on the last episode did you watch it. I wanted to just like touch on it. Yes I did I finally watched it and honestly it gave me such anxiety whenever I was watching it like I felt like my heart was going to like fall through my ass. Oh same. And the whole time like I'm watching it I was trying to figure out up until a certain point. I watched enough lifetime movies that I think of like all of like the negative things and like the most like morbid situation so I picked up very quickly that the two kids were from her and then the other woman that yeah came into the house like yeah I kind of
Starting point is 01:06:58 picked that I didn't know who's was who's but I knew that I picked up pretty quickly quickly where they came from. So I picked up that very quickly but then will kept saying when the little girl like got off the boat and the way she like jerked her and was like scared and told her like she can't be trusted and stuff that that was her daughter but I knew I knew it was the yep. How did you know I don't know I just felt like because this is going to sound real ignorant because it wasn't her daughter. Yeah like I just got that vibe to like I just felt like okay the girl and I know that she meant it. I know that she meant it with love and like because she cared about her but I just felt it when she said that to the little girl that it wasn't her daughter and that the boy was hers. I just I got that feeling. Yeah and then the part where if you haven't watched Bird Box you definitely need to watch it just because everybody else has so you might as well like go ahead and bite the bullet and do it and just
Starting point is 01:08:09 I'm just kidding don't do that but I felt like okay when they got to the part where she was like one of us is going to have to look I honestly thought she was going to make the girl look I was like okay it's going to be like a natural like maternal instinct like for so long like the whole like movie she was basically not very like maternal and you could just like tell there was like when she had the baby if it had been like in a regular world with no challenge she might be like a little bit like emotionally disconnected but did you feel like that. I did but you know what really pissed me off. What is you knew when like the demons or whatever you knew when they were coming so like you could take your blindfold off until that wind and stuff was coming. I don't know though I think it was just like because even if you looked at the people like remember the scene where she's in the river and that guy comes. Yeah. And even just looking at him just looking at him specifically would not have made them crazy or whatever like that wouldn't have made them crazy because if you remember the guy in the house that was bad.
Starting point is 01:09:29 They looked at him and it was fine and then the same thing it was it wasn't until like the wind blew and the voices and stuff like that and so it kind of pissed me off because they knew when it was coming and they would hear the voices so like take your fucking blindfold off until something like that happens. I didn't feel like that and Tom went out like a G though like he really went out like a G like he was. He was so I didn't feel that way but like if you did like that's fine like that's that's cool that's everything's fine. You didn't think he was sexy af. No. Oh good God Lindsay you know what I knew one that thinks fucking machine gun Kelly looked good. Oh my god.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Did you because I need answers. Yes or no. Yes. I don't think it's like it's like not like a normal attraction you know what I mean like I feel like I have a very like distinct like. But it's just like. Yeah over that. Yeah for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:38 No although I will say that Sandra Bullock is fine as shit like she's so fine. She's aged so well. Honestly though I was terrified at the end of the movie because I that was like throughout the whole thing that was where I was the most anxious because I just felt like it was like this like running like are they ever going to like find the place you know and that was terrifying to me. And I kept feeling like she was going to lose like one of the kids. No, I mean she she did a great job I just it's hard for me because like my anxiety was through the roof but also. And like I have a love hate relationship with the movie because I don't understand the premise of it and I don't understand like okay what happens when you get to the school of the blind like what happens like I don't understand what happens. And so like the whole you don't explain they don't explain like what that's because you're going to be another movie. Like the whole like the wind thing and who these people are and why certain people live and are crazy and you know they don't really explain any of that and so it kind of pisses me off that it's like okay this movie had my anxiety through the roof I can't stop watching I love it but I also hate it because.
Starting point is 01:11:53 What the fuck. Yeah, I think that's the whole intention of the movie to be like WTF but yeah if you again have not watched Bird Box you should just watch it I know that there's like some stuff going around the internet about people doing the bird box challenge not advisable.
