Hey, guys, welcome to Coffee Combos.
Hey, Lindsay.
Hey, Kale.
How are you?
Better today than yesterday.
I got my phone fixed, so we're back up and running, and we leave for Hawaii in two days.
So we're pretty pumped and excited and all the things.
How does it feel to be back, like, connected to life?
Honestly, I got so used to not having my phone for a week, like I only had my work phone,
which I was perfectly content having, like, no contacts in it, that I really, I actually
liked it.
Like, now I'm like, oh, I have to text people back.
How many notifications did you have whenever your phone came back on?
You know what?
I didn't have as many as I thought I would.
Like, my apps had a lot of notifications, but, like, text message.
I had 46 text messages, and I'm pretty sure a lot of them were, like, from my group, but
I did get a text from a message on Instagram from my friend Toni.
She was like, hey, are you getting my text messages?
And I was like, no, like, I posted that my phone was broken, and she goes, oh, I thought
you were lying.
Well, first of all, you did post- Like, why would I lie about that?
Well, you did post that your phone was broken, but nobody has, like, a broken phone for,
like, eight days, but you.
Right.
Well, you know, like I said, last time, like, the Apple store, I did the Verizon thing, then
the phone stopped working when I got home, and then the Apple store was an hour away,
plus you have to make an appointment, plus I had company.
So it was just, like, any other time, I feel like I would have loaded up the kids and,
like, went and fixed my phone, but, like, I literally just didn't, I couldn't.
Oh, gosh, and going to the Apple store is literally, like, the worst.
It's pure chaos.
Yeah.
And to bring three kids in there, I was like, I would probably rather, um, I don't know.
Do anything.
I saw my arm off.
Yeah.
Um, can I ask you a quick question, since I know that you went to have your nails done
today?
Yeah.
Okay.
Whenever we first met, you used to just get, like, white pink, like, gel or whatever.
And now you've turned over to this side of, like, these long acrylics, and what made you
decide to make the move from gel to these walled acrylics?
You know what?
I don't have an answer for you, and it's so weird, because, like, truly, I just found,
like, my nail person that I, like, actually like, and I like to go to.
I've had, I started getting acrylics, and, like, every time I would get them, I actually
wouldn't be happy with them, but I kept getting them.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Like, every time I would go back, I would still get them and not be ha- like, they either,
like, looked a mess around the edges or, like, the ombre wasn't blended right or, like, the
shape was fucked up.
And so I don't truly know, like, why, but, like, today I was like, I'm going to go soak
my nails off.
I'm going to keep them fresh.
I'm going to not have nails for a while, just to, like, have, like, a fresh start, but
my fingers are so fat.
And then I, like, was like, no, I'll just keep, I'll just get a new set, like, I'll just
get a new set of acrylics.
So you got, like, more long nails?
Yes.
I just don't understand, like, you're going to Hawaii, you went to Mexico, and you literally
almost died from, like, a bleed out from your acrylic.
And now you go and get these long nails, and it's really, like, a hazard to me, I would
feel like.
You know what?
And I thought that.
I was, when I was in the nail salon, I was like, I probably should take them off only
because, one, I'm going to be gone for three weeks.
So it's like, who, and, like, I'm going to be doing activities with the kids.
So why would I have long nails, and then, like, it's a liability, and how am I going
to go get it fixed if it's fucked up, or, like, I bleed out again, you know?
The fact that we consider fingernails a liability says a lot about us as human beings.
Honestly, though, honestly, well, I wanted to read this message that we got on the podcast
Instagram.
I think they actually sent it to the podcast Instagram, you personally and me personally.
It was a really sweet message, though.
Hello, Kayle and Lindsay.
I love you guys in the podcast, and both of you so much individually.
The podcast is so helpful for me, realizing I'm not alone, which really shocked me in
so many things that I have faced in life, and my marriage is so healing.
You guys helped me more than you'll ever know.
Thank you so much for being so open and honest on it.
You guys are changing lives.
You're great moms, so funny, and I feel like I know you guys.
My husband told me the other day he's so happy I found this podcast because he knows how
much it has helped me.
Thank you for everything.
I love you guys so much.
I love listening to the new podcast every week, and I'm still getting caught up with
all the previous ones, but I'm almost caught up.
Thank you guys so much again, mom bosses, PS.
I'd really love to hear about all of your family relationships, relationships of each
of your family members, and everything.
I messaged Kale, commented on your post, and sent this message so I hope that you see it.
By the way, hearing how you guys read your comments and what your fans say feel so good
because you show that you guys really care.
Not only to be raw and open with your lives, but to notice us as well.
Thank you guys for everything that you do.
Aw, that was really sweet.
I love that.
I get those messages sometimes, and depending on what mood I'm in, I will be crying.
Honestly, it's really hard, and I think that we've touched on it before.
Especially when you have a bunch of negativity, it's really hard sometimes to acknowledge
the people who are super positive and say nice things and have been following our journey.
Sometimes I'll be in a good mood, and then it's almost like the more positive messages
stick out.
So it was good that you found that one.
I actually didn't see that one in my inbox, so I'm glad.
I love getting the positive messages, and I also welcome the ones that want to fight
with us because it opens my eyes up to the other side of how somebody else would think.
But I don't appreciate the bashing ones because I'm just being a normal human and just trying
to get through this bustle of life like everybody else is.
But I do get a ton of questions on Instagram about my family and me not doing the show
anymore and so on and so forth, and a lot of people when I do those Q&As will ask those
questions, but then a lot of people will inbox me and be like, I see that you're trying to
answer these, the best that you know how, but people should just let it go.
If you don't want to talk about something, you don't want to talk about something.
And that's truly how I feel about it.
And some person commented on my Instagram on just a picture, and it just caught me the
wrong way one day, and it was like, why did you not wish your dad like a happy Father's
Day on Instagram?
And it's like, first of all, if your whole life only revolves around Instagram, do you
think that I have no other ways to like communicate with my dad?
Well, because people, they find a sense of like security and like justification and what's
the word I'm looking for?
But the only way to do it is on social media because they have something to prove, you
know what I'm saying?
That would be like, I didn't wish any of my kids' dads happy Father's Day on social
media, but you better believe every single one of them got a card from their child.
So it's just one of those things where you don't need to justify what you do or how you
do it to the public.
And I think the people that are fixated on the social media aspect of it are really the
ones that you're like, I don't have this issue.
You have this issue.
You know, yeah, and it just caught me, you know, like, there can be so many negative
comments, but that comment just like on that specific day for whatever reason just hit
me the right way.
And I was like, do you not realize that like there's more to life than just Instagram?
Like I know that that must be your entire life that you think that I need to go out
and like wish all these people like happy birthdays and happy Father's Day and like
happy Mother's Day and like all this stuff on social media.
I don't need to do that to prove myself.
Right, right.
And like if somebody else needs that to feel validated on the other end, then I also don't
know what to tell you because I certainly don't feel like I need that to be validated.
But anyway, I just appreciated the message thought it was super sweet.

But in other news, I saw this article pop up and I think that you would send it to me
too.
It was on the news, and it was from news in Miami about a cell phone video that shows
a woman disturbing sea turtle nest at Miami Beach.
Did you see, you saw that, right?
Did you not send that to me?
What?
What?
About, it was like a cell phone video of a woman disturbing a sea turtle nest at Miami
Beach.
Did you not send that?
I don't think so.
Maybe I just made it up or maybe I sent it to you.
I don't know.
But I saw it and the article says Miami Beach, Florida, newly released cell phone video captured
a woman disturbing a sea turtle nest in Miami Beach.
She was arrested.
Why would she do that?
She was arrested, allegedly used a wooden stick to jab at a turtle nest.
According to the arrest report, the 41-year-old woman was also seen stomping around the area.
We were trying to call the police so that they can come and see what she was doing because
she was talking to herself, removing the sand from where the turtle's eggs were, said one
witness through a translator.
She had a stick in her hand and was using it to remove the sand as well.
The police officer said that the eggs weren't damaged, but she was charged with a felony
of molesting marine turtles or eggs and was granted $75,000 bond.
She was given a stay-away order from the block of Miami on the beach that she was at.
And in the ruling in the video, she looked completely shocked in her bond hearing.
So yeah, she just said in the ruling that she thought the charges were wrong.
But again-
No, they're not wrong because those sea turtles are endangered and it's just like, who the
fuck does that?
Who disturbs the piece of animals that are, like this is their planet, you know what I'm
saying?
Like, why are you poking at it?
Like I wouldn't poke at a bird's nest, a turtle nest, a snake nest, no matter what it is.
I'm not poking at it.
Leave it alone and keep it moving.
Well, exactly.
I mean, that's like, you know, I love my ferns outside, but birds take over them and what
am I supposed to do?
Go and like move it?
No, I'm not going to do that.
Like, I'm just going to let them take over it and be like, wow, could you not have found
another place to like have a bird's nest, but you know, not really my choice.
But who goes out on the beach and it was probably blocked off because any beach that I've ever
been to that has like a turtle's nest, it always has like these wood sticks with like
ropes around it and it says like turtle nest on it.
So I would imagine it probably had that and for her to act like she didn't know what she
was doing is pretty ridiculous and like a stupid lie.
I'm annoyed.
That's really frustrating.
Well, I was also very frustrated.
In other news though, I decided today since I had made a promise to a little boy about
two months before school got out that he could be on the podcast again because he had been
asking so many times, I promised that he could come on.
And so today we have a special guest and his name is Jackson.
What did he say?
Is your refrigerator running?
Is your refrigerator running?
Is my refrigerator running?
Yes, my refrigerator is running.
They will go catch it before it runs around.
That was a good one, Jackson.
That was a good one.
How are you, Jackson?
Good.
Good.
I heard that you are going to Vacation Bible School.
I'm done with it because I got done with it yesterday.
Oh, okay, but did you like it while you were going?
Yes.
So what?
Oh.
I'll say Green's Day when we went out to play ground.
Yes.
So on a day we went out to the playground because obviously, Della ate something and she got
sick.
It wasn't good for her.
She got sick.
Yeah.
So did you help?
Don't go ahead.
Well, I did a poll on Instagram so that we could ask him questions that people wanted
to know.
And there are a lot of questions on here, so they must have really liked when he was
on the podcast the last time.
So I'm going to start those questions.
Okay.
The first question is, what does your mom do for work?
She works on a podcast and she also works on her computer.
Okay.
Wow.
The next question is, what is your favorite dinner that your mom makes?
I said spaghetti.
Spaghetti?
Okay.
What is your favorite movie right now?
My favorite movie is probably, what is it called?
The Adventures of Thanos?
I don't know.
Avengers.
Avengers?
Okay.
What is your favorite TV show?
I'm saying Benton.
Benton?
Yeah.
What's Benton?
He turns into different, he turns into different aliens and he fights people.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
The next question is, do you want a brother or a sister or no siblings at all?
I want a brother and when my brother grows up, I want to have some wrestling matches.
Attention parents, we have talked about this a million times, but I've found a solution.
So if you're anything like me, you worry about how much screen time your child gets and what they're exposed to online.
And that's why I love Circle.

Are you still obsessed with the Incredibles?
Not at all.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A police because I was at Petsmart and I saw a wobble and a police and a police car because they were toys for dogs.
Okay. Let's see.
Who's your favorite, your mom or your dad?
I'm going to say my mom because she brings me every time some toys back when she goes to every place.
I'm his favorite because I bring him toys back when I go every place.
Wow. I'm a real winner.
Okay. Let's see. Let's do a few more.
We like six more or seven.
Six or seven more?
Seven.
Okay. How do you like being an only child?
Good because I'm the only one having Della.
You're the only one that has Della?
Yes. So I like being a one and only single child.
What did he say?
He said that he liked being an only single child because he has Della and so he likes being the one and only single child.
Nothing. Della is my sister.
He thinks Della is his sister.
Yeah. I could see that.
Okay. How do you like your dad being your baseball coach?
He needs to win on his scrolling when I try to catch a ball and when he does pop-ups he hits me with the balls all the time so I don't like him being the coach.
Okay. This is the last question.
How did you feel about Kale sending you a tortilla blanket?
When mommy first opened the box, mommy said, what is this?
I said, this is a blanket with doo-doo stains on it that Kale sent you.
And I like it.
And I said, your son's put a doo-doo stain on it.
And I stood down in the toilet and that picked it up.
No. So you didn't know that it was a tortilla blanket?
No. Well, first of all, just a little background story on the tortilla blanket.
For all the people that have been sending messages about the tortilla blanket, yes, Kale sent the tortilla blanket.
And the package came from like China or somewhere.
So on the outside of the box, it had writing that I didn't even understand.
And the package was like all busted up.
And so a lot of times Kale and I will get packages from podcast stuff and we won't be expecting them.
So we'll be texting each other and be like, hey, did you get a package? Is this for podcasts? Is this not?
And so I thought it might have been that. And so when I see it, it's like tan and it looks almost like a giraffe print or something on there.
And I'm like, maybe it's like some kind of costume or something.
So then Jackson and I are opening this thing up and I'm like, OK, this must have been something that Kale sent.
And it didn't really look like a tortilla, but then when you like wrap it up, it does look like a tortilla,
but it honestly looked like a blanket that just had shit stains on it.
Oh my gosh. So anyway, Jackson really loved the blanket and he thought it was really funny and good job for Kale. Glad that you can be the funny one.
Jackson said that he has a couple of questions for you before he gets off the podcast.
OK, let's hear it.
Why did the hero flush the toilet?
Why did the hero flush the toilet?
Why did the hero flush the toilet? I don't know.
Because it had duty stains in it.
No, that's not the answer.
Because it wasn't duty.
Because it was his duty.
OK, Jackson, did you come up with that yourself?
Yes, I put my clothes in the laundry and hang out my towel and brush my teeth listening, cleaning up my basement, playing baseball,
and cleaning my putt. That's his rules for his allowance.
And have you been keeping up with that for your allowance?
Yes. How old are your boys now? Did they have a birthday yet?
My kids are nine, five, and one.
Who's one?
He'll be two this summer.
What does he do?
What does he do?
He doesn't really do anything besides just cause a lot of ruckus in the house. He makes the house a mess.
How does he make a mess?
Because sometimes he takes all the toys out of his room and he brings them downstairs to the living room and he doesn't clean them up.
Do you have any more questions for Kale?
Does any of you boys watch wrestling?
What kind of wrestling? Like WWE or like high school wrestling?
WWE. I like that one.
You do?
Yes.
Do you know who John Cena is?
Yes, and guess what? Me and Daddy tried to wrestle one time and guess what?
What?
My dad was, boy, what's his name?
I don't know.
He said his name was Willie and he clocked and when he stand it up he clocked like a crazy maniac.
He went, oh, you're living.
Oh, you're a real wrestling character.
Do you like wrestling with your dad?
Yes, and I had to read a wrestling character, the Mexico one, cause I was tiny.
He had to be the Mexico one cause he was tiny.
Here's what I'm trying to get. I'm trying to get, and I changed my mind on the belt. I'm trying to get a big, huge belt that is children's size still and it has, and it's gold.
For their wrestling championship at our house.
And then we have one more belt and a Buzz Lightyear belt.
And you like to wear them?
They use that belt for the championship right now, the Buzz Lightyear belt.
Okay, well that's pretty cool.
And I'm looking for, oh, you know, I have a big thing that I want to get. There's only two things that cost a lot of money that I have to get.
I have to get the big wrestling belt and guess what else I have to get.
What?
I have to get a big homerina. Do you even know what the homerina does?
No.
It has this little saying that you can put the champion in, the champion gets to watch, and then there's this weird wrestling character there at Target.
Okay.
I think one of them has a cap on and a suit, so I think that one is a baseball player and then my dad says one of the rest was, it used to be a Georgia Tech football player.
He said that's the first one I need to get.
Oh, okay.
Well, I mean, that makes sense.
All right, Jackson, I think that's all we have time for today with you. So thank you for coming on Coffee Combos.
Tell us how it makes you feel to be a part of Coffee Combos podcast.
It feels awesome. Thank you for having me.
Oh my gosh. Thank you for wanting to be a part of it, Jackson. You are so sweet.
And I'm glad Kale's the jokes all the time.
Thank you for telling me your jokes. I'm going to tell the boys the jokes when they get home.
Okay.
I love you. Bye-bye.
Bye.
I want to know how does Jackson have a Southern accent because obviously Will does, but you don't have one.
So like, I guess I'm surprised that he has one when he spends more time with you.
Everybody says that he has one and that I don't have one, but Will definitely has more of one than I do.
But it's weird because somebody said to me the other day that actually when we were in Dallas, whenever I was on the phone with my father-in-law to talk to Jackson,
they were talking about how I had a twang. So I don't know. I guess it just depends on like when you're around your family and stuff if you have it or not.
I'm not really sure. It's weird.
But Jackson definitely has like a way stronger one than me and a stronger one than Will,
but he does spend a decent amount of time with Will's parents and both of Will's parents have like Southern accents.
So maybe that's how, but I don't really know. It's pretty crazy.
Huh. That's so funny. He's so sweet.
He's super into like this wrestling thing and I'm super not into it.
So that's been kind of interesting because I don't want him having all of these wrestling toys.
There's actually a really funny story. I have the video on my phone,
but Grayson, for those of you listening who don't know about Chris Lee knows best,
my brother's name is Grayson and he's the youngest one.
And he had like a bunch of wrestling toys and stuff at my parent's house.
So when we would film, that would be like the boys toys that were at my parent's house.
So Jackson would go in and play with them, but at this time he wasn't like really into wrestling.
But I was taking a shower like in the morning and Jackson comes running through the bathroom and he's like, look, mom,
look at this character. Somebody has put stamps all over their body and we have to wash them off.
It was the tattoos.
He was like, there's stamps all over their body, but I have the video on my phone and I'll have to post it on the podcast Instagram
because it's super, super cute and how concerned he was that somebody had like stamped this person's body.
But then funny thing after he decided that he was going to like wrestling and this has just like been a newfound thing,
he told Will that he was going to get tattoos all over his body whenever he grew up.
And yeah, so you and Jackson can do a photo shoot for Inked Magazine because y'all will be tatted up.
Right.
And Will's like so straight lace, you know, and he's like, you know, he has no tattoos or anything like that.
So he's like, nope, you're not getting any tattoos and Jackson's like, no, I am.
I'm in hell all over my body and Will's like, okay, great.
And I'm like, yeah, if that's what you want to do, yeah, go for it.
Let him live his best life.
And other news though, I had done a Q&A on my Instagram for people to drop questions for us to answer on the podcast.
And we haven't really done an episode to where we just like answer these questions.
So I thought it would be fun to just go through and answer a lot of these questions.
And a lot of them were questions that I haven't taken the time to answer on Instagram like when I do these.
So I think it'll be fun.
I think we'll just both answer.
So like you answer first and then I'll answer second.
Okay, perfect.
Chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate.
Okay, I probably wouldn't pick either.
I'm going to go butter pecan, but that wasn't a choice.
I would do a chocolate vanilla swirl, but that's also not a choice.
So I guess I'll go chocolate too.
I love chocolate.
I also love the twist.
The twist is for sure a thing.
Yeah, it's so much better, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
The next question is what's a quality or a trait that you admire most about your kids?
A quality or trait that I admire most about my kids.
As much as Isaac and I butt heads, I actually love how feisty he is because I think later on in life it's going to work to his benefit in, you know,
things that he wants to do with himself.
So I love that.
And Lincoln, I just, I love how funny he is and just like carefree, love it.
And then Lux is very, not sympathetic, I guess, empathetic.
So like he's bad.
Don't get me wrong.
He's really bad.
But he, if he sees somebody crying, like he's so like, he just wants to go make sure that they're okay.
Yes.
I could definitely see that.
What I admire most about Jackson is his heart.
He has the best heart of any child that I think that I've ever been around.
He always wants to like give his money to church and he wants to help other people.
If somebody falls down on the playground, he's like the first to, you know, take care of them or to ask if they need help.
And he's very sensitive, but also very opinionated too.
And I like that about him that he's, you know, kind of both sides of it.
I love that.
The next question is, okay, what do you splurge on and what's a definite target by?
Okay.
What do I splurge on and what's a definite target?
I think I spend a lot of money on like, are we talking only at target?
No, like what's something that you would splurge on and spend like more money that would be like more expensive than target and then what would be like a target by?
Okay.
I have been trying to like, not cut corners, but like be more aware of like what I'm spending my money on and trying not to eat a lot of fast food and trying not to buy a whole lot because I'm moving.
I don't really, I can't answer that one right now, but as far as target goes, I am an impulse buyer there.
So like, I think I need something.
I don't think that there's like one specific thing.
I know that I will go there for like other things, but I always leave with kids clothes, like no matter what.
No matter what.
Well, I love target for lots of reasons, but one thing that I would purchase that I wouldn't purchase at target would be like any of my denim.
I purchase like high in denim.
It's a pleasure of mine.
I love to have like good jeans or good shorts or whatever.
And then something that I would buy at target would be like t-shirts or maybe I might go to like their home decor section and buy baskets and like blankets and stuff like that.
But I would never, I won't say never, but I never have bought denim from target because I love to have like more expensive denim because I feel like it lasts for so long.
And a lot of times when I bought denim from like other places, it doesn't last for a very long time.
So I'm like, I would just rather spend more money and get more use.
Right.
Okay.
I think that's fair.
Okay.
What is your favorite feature about yourself?
My legs, not my thighs.
Like the back of my thighs are not cute, but like my legs, I feel like I actually have nice legs.
Okay.
My favorite feature about myself, okay, you thought of it as like appearance, but I thought of it as like, I'm dedicated.
Like I'm a dedicated person to like whatever I'm involved in.
So I'm not going to be involved in anything that I'm not dedicated in.
But if you have to go like the appearance route, I would probably say I like my eyes best.
Okay, okay.
Okay.
Will we ever get more than one podcast a week consistently?
I'm going to say yes.
Kale's going to go yes and I'm going to go no and we're going to explain that in later episodes after summer rolls around. So you guys just stay tuned and you'll find that out after August.
All right, y'all, I want to take a quick second to talk about something that I have been loving.
We'd all love to hire an interior designer for our homes, just like we love a personal trainer, a masseuse and a personal assistant.
ModZi makes the first one possible and the other three still require a lottery win, starting at $69, which is a fraction of a fraction of what an interior designer would cost. You can use ModZi's 3D technology to look at your home in a whole new way.
You upload some pics of your home and ModZi designers gives you two complete looks for your space.
You get unlimited revisions and they guarantee you'll find a look that you love or you'll get your money back.
So how awesome is that? I know that I've talked about it before. I am redoing some things in my house and my office space is something that was super important for me.
I'm in it every single day and I want to look at something that is aesthetically pleasing and ModZi has been able to help me with that and I'm so super thankful.
Pinterest boards are a great starting point but ModZi takes things to the next level and you can customize it to your specific space and they have a deal for you guys.
This month only, when our listeners go to ModZi.com, start a design project and use code COFFEE, you will get 20% off.
That's 20% off for our listeners at ModZi.com, code COFFEE.
M-O-D-S-Y dot com, code COFFEE.
Okay, let's see.
If you had another child, would you vaccinate?
I think you've already answered this, yes. I think you've already answered this, no.
And I'm going to go yes, I would. If you had to eat fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where would you go for each?
If we had to what?
If you had to eat fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where would you go for each?
For breakfast, I wouldn't eat, I would skip it because I am not a breakfast food person and so I'm especially not a fast food breakfast person.
Maybe I'd get coffee from Wawa.
Okay.
Lunch, I'm going to go Chick-fil-A.
Okay.
Or like Panda Express, because I'm thinking fast food.
You would freaking Panda Express.
I just love Asian food. Like, did I ever tell you what the owner of the Thai place said to me?
No.
I never told you, I swear I did. She asked me if I was Asian and I said no, why?
And she's like, well your eyes, she like pulled her eyes. She's Thai.
And she pulled her eyes and she's like, and your skin is very white.
Like maybe that's why you love Asian food.
Because I would literally eat Asian food like three or four times a week.
Oh wow.
Okay.
So I would go Panda Express or Chick-fil-A for lunch.
And then for dinner, I mean my Thai place, you can like call and like order and like go pick it up.
So I'm going to consider that fast food.
So I'm going to say I would eat Thai for dinner.
Okay.
For breakfast, I'm going to go Dunkin' Donuts all day.
Not even Starbucks, you love those egg bites.
Oh, I was also going to say if I was around like somewhere that didn't have a Dunkin',
then I'm going to go Starbucks, the egg bites with bacon, those are bomb.
Lunch and dinner, I'm going to go Chipotle all day.
Okay.
All day.
I'm not interested in any of those.
I know that you hate Chipotle, so like you can get off because I love it.
I literally eat Chipotle like five times a week, like it's not even a made up lie.
Yeah, I'm not interested in any of those.
So basically, Kale and I aren't eating together on-
No, never.
Any meal.
Actually, whenever we are together, we order like from different places or something.
Or like room service is completely different.
Yes, 100% different.
But Kale's weird, like one time she ordered room service and she got like chicken parm
and then the other thing she got, what was the other thing that you got that was like completely different than Italian?
Yeah, I know what one you're talking about.
It was in Dallas, right?
Yeah, it was like chicken parm and then it was some kind of like Mexican something.
Casadillas.
Casadillas, yeah.
But it was because I was trying to, like, I didn't know if it was going to taste good
and then I was also sick, so it was like whatever I could like get down.
Like I was trying to like have options in case like I couldn't get the chicken parm down.
Oh my God.
And then I saw Kale eating out of both of them and I'm like, that does not even mix.
Like you literally have the worst luck ever.
She's going to end up with like a food virus or like something like this is terrible idea, terrible, terrible.
Okay, next question, and I've thought about this before actually, so I'm glad somebody asked it.
Should Kale go on The Bachelor and if no, then why not?
Should I go on The Bachelor?
Hell no.
Well, first off, no.
First of all, Kale would literally kill all of the females off in the house.
So there would be no competition.
That's first.
Yeah, no, I just literally don't want to compete with other women.
Like I just don't want to do.
I don't want to uplift each other.
I want to learn how to be more positive person like overall because I do think that I'm negative sometimes or like I get in my own way.
I don't want to go on a show that would like encourage me to be against other women.
Right, right.
But see, the way I look at it is maybe like early on in Bachelor and Bachelor at History.
I feel like it maybe would have been more competition.
But now I feel like so many people go on it with other motives that it's easier to be friends with people when you're living in the same house.
It's kind of like a frat house or a sorority house, you know, it's like you're all friends and cool.
Like you're going on a date with this person.
You might go on two dates out of eight weeks that you've been there, you know.
So you're kind of just like chilling and living in a pool and like eating free food and going on these like wild vacations and gaining a social media following.
So I don't know.
I'm sure that a lot of people that are there for the right reasons feel like it's a competition and they don't want like other people going on a date with like the person.
But I think a lot of people for the majority of it probably don't even care.
Huh.
That's going to be my that's going to be like my assumption.
Okay, the next question is our workout routines.
When I do go to the gym, which I've fallen off since I got mono, typically go to CrossFit Monday, Wednesday, Friday from between 11 and one to do like the wad.
And then on Tuesday and Thursday, I would do strength training or running.
Okay, so you say the wad.
I thought it was like WOD.
Like that.
I thought that's just like what.
Yeah, WOD.
W.
Yeah, WOD.
Okay.
And it stands for like workout of the day.
Yes.
Okay.
Um, well, we've talked about this many times and I'm struggling on my fitness.
Um, actually for the past two days, Will has been putting me through his program, which honestly hasn't been that bad.
It's more CrossFit style.
We've talked about this a million times.
Um, but when Jackson starts back to school, I think I'm going to do the boot camp style where you go for like 30 to 45 minutes, go through your class and kind of call it a day.
Cause I need the, you know, motivation, but I try to run one time a week and like do that as my cardio and cardio days for me.
I hate cardio.
So that's like my most dreaded day.
And normally I do that on Wednesdays for like the hump day.
And, um, I really prefer to do leg days.
I'm not super into arm days, but I do them.
Um, and you can find a lot of great workouts on, um, open fit has them really, really good ones.
They're like 30 minutes.
And then also if you go on Pinterest, they have really good little plans to kind of get you started on how to get active.
And basically my suggestion, if you're trying to get active, just get outside and like do something.
See, I need to truthfully, because my weight fluctuates probably worse than anyone I know.
I need to increase my cardio.
Like I should be doing cardio three days a week and maybe crossfit twice a week.
I feel like, um, I just haven't literally with everything going on.
I just have, I know it's the, everyone's biggest excuse.
Like they just don't have time.
But, um, as soon as like the kids go back to school and stuff, I know, and it's, I've already put it in my mind that I'm going to get back into it.
So I definitely think that we should like continue to talk about this.
Cause I think this is something that like other moms like really struggle with, especially moms, but also others too.
Agreed.
Um, okay.
Next question is Kail.
Do you think that your mom watches your social media and stays sort of updated on your life without you knowing?
No, I don't think my mom, one thing that my mom and I for sure have in common is that yeah, I'm on social media, but both of us are like technologically just illiterate.
Like my mom doesn't have Facebook.
She doesn't have social media.
She did really didn't, I don't even think she had an email, like as long as I've known her, I don't even think she's had an email.
So, um, known her as long as I've known her.
Um, um, I, my mom is not like a technology person.
So I, I don't think that she watches the show or my social media.
I mean, maybe her boyfriend shows her, but, um, yeah, I don't think so.
Um, okay, you guys should start vlogging.
I would love to watch y'all.
Um, I literally just posted a lost files video on my YouTube.
Um, my YouTube is Kail in the chaos and it was Lindsay and I getting ready for podcast in New York City last year.
Actually, when we were recording with Caitlin and Tyler, I want to say it was the second time we've recorded with them.
Um, it was like also like the VMAs weekend or whatever.
And honestly, I think it was probably my favorite like scenes of us.
Like we were like really like bullshitting in the hotel room.
Wait, have I not seen this?
I don't know.
I literally just posted it this morning.
Okay, well, please send me the link.
You have her like just sit and like post something and I don't even know like what's out there of me of me talking about some ratchet stuff.
I'm sure.
Well, it wasn't, it wasn't, it was really funny.
Like I'll send it to you right now.
It's I swear.
I swear.
I swear.
I swear.
And really it's like so bad and you're like up too late.
It's like 95 million people already saw it.
Um, okay, would you ever do a crossover with another podcast?
Yeah, I mean, on like a video one or just like crossover, like not visually.
I mean, I would do one depending on who it was and if it was the right fit, then yeah.
I feel like we get this question a lot.
Um, people asking if we would collaborate with like another podcast and if we listen to other podcast and like give suggestions for those other podcasts that we listen to.
And I have briefly answered this on my Instagram before in a Q&A, but the true answer to the question of do I listen to other podcasts is no.
Um, and the only reason is not like for salty reasons or anything like that.
It's just because whenever I prepare for coffee combos and do everything like on the back end stuff for it.
I don't want to be like a suede or hear something on another podcast and then like talk about it or something like that.
So I just want to try to be as authentic on our podcast and bring you guys stuff that like we've come up with on our own.
And so for that reason, I just kind of don't listen to other podcasts.
No, I watch the podcast charts and see like what we're competing with, but as far as like listening, I just don't.
So I can't really truly give a true recommendation because I haven't listened to anything enough to be able to be like, oh, this would be, you know, something interesting for you guys to latch on to.
And then as far as a collaboration, as far as I'm concerned, if like Kale said, if it fit and we jived well with people, then I would say, yeah, why not?
I mean, like when when we say crossover, and I'm saying yes, I mean like for like an episode, I don't mean like overall like completely merged with someone.
Right. Yeah, exactly.
Okay, just to clarify.
Yeah, just clarifying.
Okay, this is a really fun one because actually this is like new for us.
So what type of planners do you guys use and what do your offices look like as far as organization?
I love this question.
Of course you do.
I use I actually, I bought my first Aaron Condren planner last year and I was obsessed with it.
I've been so obsessed with it that she actually reached out and I actually have a ton of like planners and stickers and like all that stuff.
I'll post a swipe up link for where I got them on coffee combo.
So I have like all the Aaron Condren stuff, but as far as office organization right now, everything's in boxes for me because I'm moving.
And I do think that's the one room in my new house that I'm going to get help with as far as organization goes because it is so uncomfortable and gives me anxiety to like podcast in here and there's like shit everywhere.
So like that's not a surprise.
You guys know how messy my life is.
So right now I mean my I have two desks in my office.
I have one that has like my iMac and like my like other things and then like I have a desk that I keep my like laptop and my podcast equipment on my podcast desk is completely a shit show.
So I'm looking forward to actually having like a nice clean fresh start in my new office.
Well, I will tell you, okay, also Aaron Condren gifted me a bunch of items for me to get myself like more organized and I was so excited about it.
Kale and I actually had a full blown conversation about how I've always been into like organization and having like gelpins and like highlighters and notepads and like all this stuff so super excited about it and we also have these notebooks that have like coffee
combos podcast on them that are super cute and they also have a kids planner which I'm going to get out for Jackson probably next week for him to like start because I think it's super important for kids to like learn a system and like a form of organization
and all that kind of stuff and we also got a chore chart from Aaron Condren and just a bunch of different stuff.
So we can post a swipe up link for you guys to get a little bit more organized but I hate to have to say it that my two most unorganized places in my house is my closet and my office.
And I feel like I need to get more organized on both of those and I'm in the process of doing that for both of those and I feel like a weight will be lifted off my shoulders.
When it's done because if you really think about it like your office should be very organized because it's where you probably spend a lot of your time.
I know I spend a lot of my time in my office so that's probably why it's a mess but mine's kind of like organized chaos you know what I mean like I know where everything is but everything doesn't necessarily have a place and that kind of bothers me.
So yeah that's really annoying to be perfectly honest.
The next question is I am pregnant and I'm not finding out the gender.
Kale how did you prepare for your babies?
Okay so this is a question I get all the time like oh my god what did you do just get yellow and it's like no I mean you can make it fun.
You can do grays, neutrals that you can always add like a color too later like if you get like the little outfits like onesie outfits and you do like gray pants and a white top you can change the white top to like a pink onesie or a purple onesie or like a blue whatever.
But I did very neutral nurseries except for for Lincoln so for Isaac I did like a jungle theme before I knew.
For Lincoln I talked myself into the fact that I was having a girl and I found this Pinterest room a nursery that had navy blue walls.
And you could literally and it was like navy blue walls with gold accents and then you can do add like either like a green or a pink accents depending on what the gender was and I fell in love with that one.
And then for Lux I did like a world traveler theme and was like you know hoping basically that you know either way it would it would work so it was like more like a teal color because I felt like teal we could change it to like Tiffany's theme or it could be still world travelers.
So that's what I did I mean the babies grow out of things so quickly and like my biggest thing is like if I know my friend is having a baby I don't give clothes for like zero to three months anyway I'm doing like six to nine months.
So the good thing is like the neutral stuff will be so like they'll grow out of it so quickly and then you'll already you know you'll have the gender.
So I love the surprise I love not knowing and I almost loved not having it completely ready when the baby came.
Well that is great Kale I'm so glad that you love a good surprise but that's just not something that I want to be shocked about.
So right now I would be doing the blood tests like ASAP and I think that we've talked about that before but that's really good advice that that you gave.
Honestly though Lindsay like if I was to have another baby my we've talked about like sperm donors and like gender selection and like part of me is like I want to do gender selection so I can have a wedding size baby girl baby shower.
But then the other part of me is like I want to do I want to find out for my fourth and I want to have a huge gender reveal and a huge baby shower because I never really had them.
I didn't have any gender reveals and then I also didn't have really baby showers Janet Joe's mom threw me a baby shower for Isaac.
But nobody in my family really came except for my mom and then my cousins left when they found out I was on MTV so they left.
And then I didn't have a baby shower for Lincoln or for luck so it's like I want to have like a huge baby girl shower.
Well okay we have talked about this in length before but if I got pregnant again I would want to do like all the things because I missed you know like doing the gender reveal the huge you know baby shower.
And I feel like baby showers for girls are just like on a different level than like boy baby showers.
So I don't know moms if you're listening and you have not found out the sex of your baby and you did things the same way is kill then please let us know and if you did things differently also please let us know and let us know if you have a boy or a girl.
And if your baby shower was big if you had a boy or big if you had a bigger if you had a girl because I feel like everybody that I know that has had little girls their baby showers are always like bigger yeah yeah.
The next question is what tattoos would you two pick for each other if you had to go and get them right this second.
Oh my god.
I know what I would pick for you.
You do what would it be.
I would probably pick either a compass or like some type of like map or like globe because of you like to travel.
That would be cool.
I don't I have like a compass looking one but it's honestly and it's like to blended into my one sleeve that I let somebody do who was on drugs so like honestly would like to like have it redone but yeah that's a story for another day.
And for you.
I.
I don't know I'm trying to think like I feel like in some way like something what symbolizes like.
My first thought was an arrow because arrows only get shot forward like they only go forward and I feel like I want that so bad on my forearm like where my I guess like where it creases like where your arm bends.
I want that's where I feel that was my first thought was an arrow because despite anything that you've been through and like I know because we talk but.
I feel like you always move forward you're always propelling yourself forward and you never you don't really look back so I feel like for me that's what I would like if we went on that show.
Tattoo far or whatever what is it called I don't know there's a show on MTV called tattoo far or something like that and you put that you put tattoos on each other.
Okay but we would have to have some type of like agreement before going on to this that it would be like something super cute.
Yeah for sure we should plan to do that actually in fact.
Okay that would that would be really brilliant of us or maybe dumb I'm not sure but we can figure that out after the fact.
The next question and the last question that we're going to do today is what made you guys want to start a podcast love that you guys speak about everything.
Lindsay was the reason why we started this podcast and I don't I don't know like I just thought okay like we'll give this a shot and we'll see if it works but I think we just wanted to talk about everything pop culture.
Mom stuff being on TV right reality TV just all the things like I don't know.
I feel like podcast is so not limiting that that was the thrill for me to be able to like if I was having a bad day to be able to express that or you know if I feel like really happy in my life to be able to express that.
And also like to bring somebody from a completely different upbringing on the other side but that I can get along with and that those things like at the end of the day don't really matter and you have two girls from two totally different worlds.
That that was like kind of the idea behind it and there really wasn't like a ton to lose other than time so I felt like okay if we do this and like it flops then it'll be okay and we can at least say that we tried it and honestly to tell you the truth.
I didn't expect for the podcast to be what it has turned into.
So for that I'm very very grateful and so thankful for the amount of people that follow us like on a weekly basis that just tune in to listen to like our bullshit because I just really can't believe that that many people care to hear about like our stupidity.
But you know what it's relatable and it's like I don't know like and I don't know.
I think that I love listening to like other I listen to snooki and joey podcast I also listen to like a couple other podcasts and I don't know it's like it's cool like sometimes like the breakfast club or like anything it's just like it's entertainment it's like.
I don't know how to describe it so I get it and I'm so thankful because I feel like you know it makes me feel good that people like us enough to like look continue to listen but.
And I think you have you have like a different perspective than me because you actually listen to like another podcast like I don't so sometimes I'm kind of like blown away the fact that you know people want to tune in.
Yeah, I like you listen to it and I guess it's kind of like some people just feel like they're in conversation with you and I love that we get those kind of responses that people feel like it's just having a conversation with your girlfriend.
I, I literally love that. And then I don't want to. Well, we can. I said the last one was the last question that we were going to answer. But this one is coming up so I just wanted to go ahead and answer it.
Can be be on the podcast I love her and Kale's relationship keep doing yours thing ladies.
So, Kale, take it away. Okay, so we have news.
V is going to be on our podcast in August we are going to Atlanta and we are going to film and also record the podcast with V and it's been a long time coming because we've been doing the podcast almost two years now which is really hard to believe and we're just now getting her on.
So I'm excited and honestly if we could get Becky out there to that would be like kill all birds with one stone, you know, absolutely, I would welcome Becky with open arms.
So, so if you guys have questions for V like specific things that you want us to talk about, we are open to questions now, obviously, and we'll write them down and try to save them for August because honestly August is really not that far away.
Well, and nothing's going to be really off limits because it's going to be like an episode of like how they evolved and what it's like, you know, co-parenting and then V being a stepmom on the other side and you know, Kale being a mom and young and like how all of this came about for them to be able to have the relationship that they have.
So I'm super excited for it and I know Kale super excited for it and I think V super excited for it based off her text message. So make sure that you guys stay tuned.
And I think that's all we have time for today. So if you guys have not followed us on at coffee combos podcast on Instagram, make sure you follow us over there and if you have not subscribed to us, you can do that by searching the purple podcast app on your iPhone.
