Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Coffee Combos. I cannot believe, did I say combos? I don't know. Combos. Combos. I said combos. At this point, we don't care. We don't care.
Starting point is 00:00:16 It's episode 99, so we definitely don't care. No. I'm happy to have you back, Lindsay. I know. I'm happy to be back, honestly. Wow. My life feels like a cyclone. I can definitely see that.
Starting point is 00:00:34 I can understand why, for sure. Kayle probably gets text messages from me, and she's like, that's because you are a cyclone. I won't say that, though. Oh my God. So, you had mentioned that I had done another show last week on the podcast, and I can't say what it is, but I will say that a lot of people, and when I say a lot of people, like hundreds of people have been sending me messages about the masked singer on Fox. The masked singer on Fox.
Starting point is 00:01:13 It's a show that has like a panel, and all of the contestants are masked, like in costumes, and the panel has to guess, they get clues, and the panel has to guess who the singer is. I have never heard of this. The premiere, the season two premiere is coming up soon, and a lot of people think that I'm the ladybug, and I honestly understand why people think that I'm the ladybug, because the clues for her were that she basically grew into, grew up in spotlight, had a wealthy family, had family drama that was always in the press.
Starting point is 00:02:09 So I definitely see why people think that it's me. So I'll just have to say, watch the masked singer. In different news, Kale, what have you been doing? Honestly, I finished the entire series of Mindhunter, I finished Unbelievable, I had been working on my house nonstop. Well, I haven't been working. I've been telling people what to work on. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:44 I've got a puppy, I talked about it on the podcast, I don't know if I talked to you about it, but I did get a puppy, so her name's Karma, and she's 12 weeks old now. So I've been really potty training, so that's what I've been doing. Oh God. It's been not fun. That makes me want to run away, just hearing the word potty train. Back to Mindhunter though, I told you about Mindhunter like a year ago, and yeah, so like see that's how much you've listened to me.
Starting point is 00:03:22 So I told you about it like a year ago when Will and I started watching it, and then I guess you just never watched it, but it's very intriguing. I feel like you have to like that type of show though to get into it, because some of the parts I feel like can be kind of slow, but I feel like if you like the ID channel and you like watching stuff like that, Mindhunter is definitely a good watch for sure. Yeah, for sure. No, it was good. The very first episode was slow for me, but after that I didn't feel like it was too slow,
Starting point is 00:04:04 and I'm actually sad that it's over, like are they doing another season, like what's happening? I think it took for, so are you like caught up with everything? Yeah, I finished the whole thing. Okay, because wasn't it like two seasons? Yeah, it was only two seasons. Yeah, so it took forever I think from the first season to the, for the second season to come out, so us original Mindhunters waited a long time for season two, so maybe you did
Starting point is 00:04:32 it right by like stalling, because then you got to watch it all together, but you're going to wait for a while, probably for another season. I don't know if they got picked up for another season, I mean, I feel like it's pretty popular, so. But I think maybe once it's done, it's done, it's like one of those things that, do you know what I mean? Like they only could tell so much before the story is over. True, this is, yeah, this is, this is very true, so we're gonna, we'll keep you guys updated
Starting point is 00:05:02 if we hear any inside information from Mindhunter. Can we talk about wacky like ER stories, because I feel like I want to know what happens in the ER, like, I don't know why I'm so interested in this. Oh, well, my friend works in the ER, she's a physician's assistant, and it's really funny that you brought that up, because I was at her house over the weekend, and I asked her, I was like, obviously you can't tell me like the patient's names, but can you tell me what you see in the ER, and she told me some. So we should actually have her on the podcast, so she could tell me, tell us the stories.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Okay, yes, I would love that, and I want like the listener, can I tell you one that she told me? Yes, tell me, but I want the listeners to like type into our DM or whatever and tell us like they're wacky ER stories, because I know there's some crazy shit that people do. So, one story that she told me, she said like this older guy said that he was constipated and obviously that was a lie, so he shoved this like huge like thing in his butt, and the whole thing got stuck up there, and he had to get surgery, and she said it had been
Starting point is 00:06:28 in there for almost a week. Oh my God, well I have heard, okay, I've heard that back whenever it was like a thing to get like your penis pierced, and like girls. That was never a thing Lindsay, that was, I don't, I've literally never met a man who has told me that they got their penis pierced, that's never happened. Me neither have I, but I feel like it was a fad back in like 2000s, not that I've ever seen one, I mean we're still in the 2000s, but you know like early on whenever it turned over to 2000, I probably just made that whole story up, but I definitely feel like I've
Starting point is 00:07:11 heard about people getting those pierced, so I've heard that back then that one story that somebody went to the ER because they got stuck together, like when they were having sex so they had to go to the ER. That's really, really terrifying. Could you imagine? No, we're going to have my friend Leah on the podcast because actually Leah is Becky's girlfriend and I think she graduated last year and she literally works in the ER and it's, I want to hear like everything.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Well I saw, have you ever seen that show on, I want to say it's like TLC, no maybe not TLC like Discovery or something and it's called Untold Stories of the ER. No. I'll never forget the story of this like homeless woman which I'm assuming that she had some like mental illness that caused her to be homeless as I think that's like very common. She went into the ER and would like cut pockets into her own skin on her body and she would shove an earthworm in each one and she like had names for each one, like earthworms, like an earthworm.
Starting point is 00:08:26 My God. That's so terrifying. And then they're like, what do you do because if you're in the ER and you're going in there because of the worms but then do you also help them with like psych evals or how does that work? Yeah, we need, we need all the answers. Can I tell you this one time though about I had never been to the ER and how I wanted to go to the ER?
Starting point is 00:08:50 What? What? Yeah. Okay, let's hear it. I had never been and so I didn't really know like what they did there. I just knew it was like a place that you go if you have an emergency and this was actually whenever I was pregnant with Jackson. So I had eaten popcorn at night and I could not get a kernel out of my tooth and it was
Starting point is 00:09:12 like in the back. And so I was playing all these hypotheticals in my mind like I might have to have surgery because it won't come out like all this stuff like I tried to floss it out and it wouldn't come out. And I was like, that's it. Like I've got to go to the ER and did you tell your parents? No, I was pregnant. So I was living with my grandmother and Will while our house was being built.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Yeah. I wasn't listening. I wasn't not paying close attention. Okay. Wow. So what did Will say to you? You don't go to the ER for popcorn kernel stuck in your tooth. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Like you may go to the dentist, but like also maybe just well in all fairness, I was looking up an emergency dentist at first and then I was like, I'm not going to find one. So I'm going to go to the ER, but then I started thinking in my mind, if I go to the ER and they ask me why I'm there, I'm going to have to tell them I've tried to floss a popcorn kernel out of my tooth for three hours sitting in a sink and it will come out. And so can you help me and they would just be like, this bitch is literally, they would be like, Lindsay, you need to go home. I'm surprised that your regular dentist doesn't have like, maybe this is not typical, but
Starting point is 00:10:33 I six, my kids dentist, all the, all the kids go to the same dentist. They have, like if you call them for like an emergency or if there's like you fall and like trip and like hit your mouth or something, you can literally text them pictures and they'll tell you do, if you need to like come in immediately or go to the, like, they'll tell you, it's really cool. Oh my God. Well, maybe you should get one of those. Yeah, I definitely need to get one of those.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Okay. So have you ever heard of this company making stylish shoes for women and girls out of recycled plastic water bottles because it's rothies and they're insanely comfortable and machine washable. I love rothies because they go with every outfit and you can get a pair of her literally every occasion. And Kale and I just looked at the website and saw that they have a new shoe and it's called the Chelsea and I literally want it in every print.
Starting point is 00:11:25 What did you say it was? It's like a high top slip on sneaker. Yes, exactly. Super, super cute. Those flats hurt our heels and are hard to clean, but these are hassle free. Rothies come in a wide range of colors and patterns and they're available in four different styles like the sneaker, the loafer, and the point, plus they're constantly launching new looks.
Starting point is 00:11:46 So you're guaranteed to find a pair or three that you'll love. In other news, can we talk about the fact that I went out in public for like the first time ever with a sweatshirt on the other day and I didn't have a bra on and I was texting Kale and I was like, um, people are gonna see my nipples and I was like walking. I know you guys can't see me, but I was putting my hand, my arm, and my hand like over my nipples whenever I was walking because I was afraid that somebody was going to see me and be like, that bitch is not wearing a bra.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Honestly, free the fucking nipple, like you're fine. No one's paying attention if you don't have a bra and with a sweatshirt, I promise. I had gotten a spray tan and I wasn't trying to get, like, mumps and funky, yeah. So that's why I wasn't wearing a bra, but I did feel kind of free, honestly. I felt like a hippie and I honestly thought people were looking at me, but I only went to one place. Oh yeah, they definitely don't care. So you've done this before?
Starting point is 00:13:31 Yeah. I mean, I have huge tits, so it's really not flattering for me to not wear a bra, but if I had smaller boobs, I think it would be like cute. Oh, so it's like cute to see the nipples because I've seen, I've seen people wear like white shirts and then you can like see like nipples through it and that might be too much for me. That's too much. But like, certain outfits and like tops, I don't want to have to wear a bra, but I will
Starting point is 00:13:58 say that I did find some really cute bralets at American Eagle that actually fit me. I don't know, I talk about it on the podcast all the time, but I wear a 36 triple D, so it's really hard for me to like find bras or like not wear a bra, like I won't wear a bra, I don't care, but the bralets are cute for me. You're laughing, but I'm being serious. Oh, I wanted to tell you something. Okay. So last week on the podcast, we talked about Skyler Brooke Richardson.
Starting point is 00:14:27 I don't know how much you followed the case. So I wasn't sure on the last episode how somebody found out that she had this baby and buried it. So apparently people were running into me on Instagram saying that she told her doctor that she had a stillborn and buried it in the backyard. So he or she, the doctor, called the police, and that's how it was discovered. Yeah, it would have been their duty, like, to... Of course, of course, but I just, I wondered, was it like a casual conversation?
Starting point is 00:14:59 Like were you just going in for a checkup and you were like, by the way, I did have a stillborn and buried it in the backyard? Yeah, was it like a panic conversation, like where she called and was like, oh my God, I had a baby? Or was it just like, oh, by the way? Well, I still don't know how you gave birth in your home with nobody hearing you or nobody was there, and then you buried it in the backyard with no one seeing you. Like that all still doesn't make sense to me, and I still believe that she should rot
Starting point is 00:15:26 in a backyard for what she did to her baby. But anyway, I just wanted to touch on that, because that was the messages that I was getting. Those were the messages that I was getting to answer my question from the last podcast. I kept seeing people say that they felt like it's another Casey Anthony, but... Oh, yeah, yeah. I don't really know. I didn't see too much about it, so I'm going to read up on it before I give an opinion. But I will report back to you guys for sure.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Okay, you know what I've always done over the years? You've spent razors. Me too. I can't get away from them. I feel like they're so much better. The blades are so much better, and they get a closer shave, but now we don't need to because we've switched over to Flamingo, and I love how cute they look. They're super sleek.
Starting point is 00:16:15 You can get them in a ton of colors, and they look cute in your shower. Yes, they look cute in the shower, but they do the job as well as a men's razor, and that's what I love about them so much. Nobody wants to brush their legs together after shaving earlier that morning, only to feel stubble because of a dull razor, with Flamingo, I no longer have that problem. Flamingo was started by a group of women at Harry's, a men's shaving brand, who realized they were only using men's razors because there wasn't an option that felt right for them.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Hair removal can be a chore, and that's okay, but the Flamingo Shave Set is anything but routine. Think about it. You probably spend more than $16 on razors and blades already, but with the Flamingo Shave Set, you can upgrade for less or the same as you're paying now, including the parts you skimp on, like the shave gel and the exfoliating lotion. They even send you a shower holder, which is super cute. Flamingo Shave Set features their award-winning products for just $16, and it ships free directly
Starting point is 00:17:12 to your door. If I were you, I'd try the Flamingo Shave Set. It's a $22 value for just $16 with free shipping today when you visit shopflamingo.com slash coffee, that's shopflamingo.com slash coffee. Okay, I have a question for you. Oh my God, okay. So would you choose to never be married, or you married the same man or woman three times? Never be married.
Starting point is 00:17:47 I don't know. I would never marry Javi ever again. Well, we know that, duh. So based on experience, I would rather have never been married than to marry the same person three times. Okay, well, I'm thinking that, okay, in my mind, I'm like, okay, well, Will and I've gone through two separations. So does that basically count as like we're married like first three times?
Starting point is 00:18:23 You've basically been married three times to the same person. Yeah. So I think I'm gonna go on the opposite end of the spectrum and be like, I would be psychotic enough to marry the same man three times. Me first and broken up so many times and gotten back together so many times that I think that I probably married him three times. Yeah. I mean, yeah, see, that counts.
Starting point is 00:18:50 I feel like that counts. So you are also psycho. So for everyone listening, I want to know, I was a psycho before Chris, let's be real here. Well, I want to know for everybody listening, would you rather have never been married or marry the same man or woman three times? This question is biased though, because if you're in a happy marriage, obviously you're gonna say that you'd rather marry the same person three times.
Starting point is 00:19:21 But if you're unhappy, you're gonna, or if you've already been divorced, you're obviously gonna say you would rather never been married. So I feel like there's a lot of gray area here. Yeah. I mean, there could be some gray area, but I feel like don't think too deep into it. Like, would you potentially, if you were married to somebody that you really like had truly loved, would you potentially divorce them? Just marry them again.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah. Like maybe, because what if you divorced for the pure fact of being like, like, I've got friends that have gone through a divorce and then gotten back with their significant other. Yeah. Yeah, I've actually seen that a couple times. And you know what's funny? I have my friend who we got pregnant with, I was pregnant with Lincoln and she was pregnant
Starting point is 00:20:08 with her son at the same time and we got married at the same time and we got divorced at the same time and her and her ex are, they co-parent so well, they get along and she brought up a good point to me. She's like, when we've talked about it, she's like, if I could go back, I probably would have tried harder. She's like, I've been through high school, which took me longer to get through than the amount of time that I was with my ex and I was like, oh wow, when you put it like that, you've literally gone through school and you know what I'm trying to say, high school's
Starting point is 00:20:40 four years and she didn't even try in her marriage for four years. So she was like, I could do better. Yes. Well, yeah, I just want to know what people would do. What would you choose? I don't know. I feel like the majority of the people are going to be like, I would choose to never be married because I don't feel like in our generation and generations to come that marriage
Starting point is 00:21:02 is going to be a thing. It's not like as valued, I don't think. I think people are always looking. We talked about this before. Like I think a lot of people look for the next best thing or they don't want to work at their marriage or their relationship and I mean, to me, when I look at the grand scheme of things and my situation, I definitely think that a baby is a bigger commitment than a ring because people will walk in and out of their marriages, but they can't.
Starting point is 00:21:30 I mean, they can walk in and out of their child's life, but they're going to stay for their child. Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah, for sure. I wouldn't be advocating if you're trying to be with somebody, don't just try to have a kid to think that's going to make it work because I definitely don't believe so, but if you already, I see what you're saying though, you already had a baby in the situation. So that is a lot more of a commitment than having an engagement ring 100%.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Yeah. You know what I think about rings? I don't really think that they're a commitment to be honest. Like the marriage or the ring? Like the ring. Like I feel like it's just like an item. The ring. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:22:16 But you know what? I thought I've given it a lot of thought over the last like probably several weeks. Like if I was to get like married again, I don't know that I would go legal with it. I think I would do like a commitment ceremony. Yeah. 100%. Not like you would pull a Brody Jenner for sure. Is that what that was?
Starting point is 00:22:35 I'm pretty sure it was a commitment ceremony. They said that they were never legally married. Well, I saw it on working moms where one of the moms had already been married to her ex-husband. They didn't have any kids together. And then they got, she got with her daughter's dad and then they didn't actually get legally married. It was like a commitment thing. And I thought it was so cute.
Starting point is 00:22:54 It was like super small and intimate. And it's like, you're doing this because you love each other, not because you feel like society is putting pressure on you to do it and legally. You know what I mean? Yeah. You feel like that over time we're going to see marriage just not be as much of a thing as what it is or has been. And I think there are going to be more things like commitment ceremonies and because people
Starting point is 00:23:19 are freaking crazy. Like you see all these like legalities and like crazy stuff that goes on that I feel like generations to come are going to have access to so much technology and they're going to be so much smarter that they're going to be like, okay, we don't like have to do that to legally get ourself in a situation. I wonder what that means for the children, right? Like obviously two parent households happy or stable, two parent households produce more stable kids, right?
Starting point is 00:23:56 So if less people are getting married, does that mean that less people are living together? Does that mean that less people are raising their kids together? Does that mean more dysfunctional children? I don't know. I don't know because I don't necessarily think I think I have strong beliefs on this. So I think like two parent households that are functional and fully happy, like happily married or happily together, I feel like that makes a happy kid. I think two parents that just stay together for the sake of the kid but aren't truly like
Starting point is 00:24:34 internally happy, that's terrible. And then single moms and single dads, I feel like they can have a kid that's as happy because they probably haven't seen what it was like. Right. I guess like just thinking about people not getting married and not really committing and always like moving on and looking for like, I guess more so that aspect not necessarily like happy or unhappy because I do think that single parent households can produce happy children.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I'm not saying that they can't. Yeah. What I'm saying is like the, I don't want to call it unstable but like the in and out I guess the not commitment like the non, I don't know, I'm not sure, forget it. Forget it. Speaking of though, I saw this study that was talking about family photos and how that printed family photos help families connect three times more than digital photos and that printed photos create more confident kids, 83% that was a part of this study said it
Starting point is 00:25:57 made them more connected, 75% felt stronger sense of identity, 68% improved imagination and 68% increased self-esteem. So wow, that's amazing. When I read that I was like, wow, that's amazing. I'm going to, so then I go into psychomode and I'm like, okay, I'm going to put family photos in every crevice of my house. Like I have them all over right, but like I don't have any in Jackson's room. Maybe I should put them like in his bedroom.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I read about like framing or not framing but like putting up the kids artwork. I read it does like a similar thing for them. So I had a bunch of their artwork framed that I'm putting in their bedrooms, but I didn't know that about the family photos. If you've seen my Instagram or any of that stuff, you guys know I have like framed pictures of the family every freaking where, which is funny that you say that because I feel like because of social media, I have kind of tailored my new house to like what I think is I don't want to say trendy or whatever, but I see like a lot of homes that I'm inspired by do
Starting point is 00:27:17 not have family photos anywhere. And so my new house was like, I want to put family photos every on every freaking wall. So I have like one wall upstairs and one wall downstairs where I have the canvases and then I have like picture frames in like the cabinets and like all the end tables and stuff. But now that you say that, I mean, I would much rather my kids feel good about their who they are and see the family pictures than to be worried about like what my house looks like. So can you actually send me those, those numbers whenever you get a chance?
Starting point is 00:27:49 Yes. Text them to me. Definitely. I love that. I loved it too. I was like, wow, that is so eye opening. So if you're listening and you have children or even if you don't have children and you want to feel happy, obviously the study says that if you have family photos that you can
Starting point is 00:28:06 look at around your house, it makes you happier person. And I definitely agree with it. I wasn't part of the study, but I think it was like 16,000 people that were a part of the study. But I'll send you the statistics because they were really interesting to me. Yeah, I love that. All right, guys, I want to talk about my favorite bra that I'm obsessed with by third love. These bras have the perfect fit and third love uses data points generated by millions
Starting point is 00:28:35 of women who have taken the fit finder quiz to design bras with breast size and shape in mind for a perfect fit and a premium feel. We've talked about it before. I love the 24 seven t-shirt bra. They have really awesome lounge bras too that I wear all the time and I looked on their site and for those of you who are mamas that are nursing, they have maternity bras and nursing bras and I don't know anything about those, but they're on the site and they're probably really good.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Honestly, that's what I needed when I was pregnant in nursing. So they would probably be perfect for some of our listeners. So I really do love that they have a fit finder quiz and I love that they have more than 80 sizes, including their signature half sizes. Third love helps you identify your size and shape and find styles that fit your body. One of the major selling points for me is that every customer has 60 days to wear it, wash it and put it to the test and if you don't love it, you can return it and third love will wash it and donate it to a woman in need.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Third love knows there's a perfect bra for everyone. So right now they're offering our listeners 15% off of your first order. Go to thirdlove.com slash coffee now to find your perfect fitting bra and get 15% off your first purchase. That's thirdlove.com slash coffee for 15% off today. Then other news, I wanted to talk about, did we talk about this yet about the human remains that you sent me that article? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:30:04 At the ball field? I don't think so, maybe. Mom's for sure. Actually, I didn't even start talking, so there was no story, but Isaac's baseball coach came to the house not that long ago and they had found a child's human remains, obviously the child remains at the fields that Isaac used to play baseball at in our town. But has there been any findings or you don't know? I have not followed up on the case, so I'm not really sure.
Starting point is 00:30:41 I hope that they found out who's child it was. I would love to know what happened and hopefully the baby or child got brought home and was able to have a proper burial. That's really, really sad. The coach just knocked on your door? No, no, no, no, I'm friends with them. Their names are Nikki and Ricky, and Ricky was Isaac's old baseball coach, and so that's the field that they coach on.
Starting point is 00:31:13 That's where Isaac played, so they were just over here for just getting together, I think it was a Friday or Saturday night, I want to say it was a week or two ago, and they had told me about it, and my jaw hit the floor, I couldn't believe it. That's nuts. When you sent me that, I was like, wait a minute. Let me actually, I'm going to look it up right now, and see if they found this fan at least. My mind was going in all different directions, because I was playing hypotheticals of what could have happened and how the remains got there, did somebody forget their child?
Starting point is 00:31:53 No way. There has to be some foul play or something crazy that happened. Okay, so it says, still few answers are here, it says still few answers about remains of a young child found at Smyrna softball fields, it says there are still more questions than answers about the remains of a young child found on the softball fields in Smyrna. Police have said that the remains are believed to be those of a child less than 10 years old. It says there is some evidence of a fire at or near the scene of the crime, which is why
Starting point is 00:32:32 we have involved this fire, the State Fire Marshal, and there's like a picture of the fields or whatever, but I think with what Ricky, or I don't remember who told me, another coach brought their dog, and the dog had brought either the ribcage or the skull is what I heard to him, and so when he walked down to the site, he saw the rest of the remains, this is the story that I got, I don't remember who told me that, but it was just crazy because I passed that field every day when I take the kids to school. Oh my God, that's literally nuts, well, if you hear anything- Oh my gosh, I forgot to tell you this, okay, so you know how because of all the shootings
Starting point is 00:33:21 and the school intruders and stuff like that, the teachers, I don't know how new it is, I'm thinking it's new because I don't remember ever like hearing about it, but the teachers will lock their doors now while the kids are in the classroom. Yeah. Okay, so, and I'm not complaining by any means, I just want to say this to just make people aware, the other day I went to go pick up the kids at school for a dentist appointment and Isaac and Lincoln are in the same school but different hallways, so I walked into the office, they buzz me in or whatever, and I'm just talking to the secretary because I know
Starting point is 00:33:57 her from CrossFit and she calls Lincoln down to the teacher and then she calls Isaac down and I'm just sitting there with Luxe and so Isaac's at the cafeteria and then he's going to go to his classroom, get his stuff and then come to the office and Lincoln's in his classroom so he's going to come right to the office. So Lincoln was called first and he had less to do, so I'm thinking he's going to come to the office first while he never comes. So then Isaac comes and he's like, mom, I'll just go get him and I was like, just hold on, the secretary's going to call down to his classroom again.
Starting point is 00:34:30 So she didn't answer, I guess, and I walk, Isaac's like, I'll just go get him. So I was like, all right, me and Luxe will come with, so he walked down to Lincoln's classroom and I like tried to open the door and it was locked, so I was like, okay, that made me feel good because if there wasn't an intruder or whatever, whatever. So I'm knocking on the door, she comes and said, did you send Lincoln down and she says, yes. So now I'm going to panic because it's a straight shot from the office to the classroom. He's not there and like 15 minutes have gone by and I'm freaking out.
Starting point is 00:35:01 So now I go back to the office and I'm like, Lincoln's not in the classroom, like I don't know what's going on, like I'm full blown panicking like what is going on and there's like two like helpers or like parent, what are they called, like parent helpers? Volunteers. Yeah. Well, I don't really know if they're volunteers, but they're really nice and whatever. So now I'm telling them, like, Lincoln's nowhere to be found. Well, Lincoln thought that he was getting picked up as he normally does as a car rider
Starting point is 00:35:29 and went out the back of the school, like he really walked out of the back doors of the school. And so my first question was, can the students get in from the back of the school or can they just leave? Like, or are they locked from the outside and then two to send kindergartners, especially because it's only like week three of school for us to send kindergartners to the office with like a buddy or like a helper. So since I have experience with this, obviously I talked about how Jackson got lost like on
Starting point is 00:36:06 the second day of school. And I kind of had the same concern of like kind of no matter where the kindergartners going in this school, I feel like there should be some type of like accountability partner there and that wasn't the situation. So that's terrifying. But I do know I've gone to like Jackson forgot his water bottle at home or something one time and I took it to the school. Now that he's moved, I took it to the school and they called him to the front office and
Starting point is 00:36:37 the assistant that like the secretary, she said, can you send Jackson with a friend? So they had like an accountability like partner going with them to and from where they were going, right, so there should just be like a buddy. And I also think that as far as like the question of can somebody get in, I don't think anybody can get in from the outside, but I think that they have to be able, it's probably like a fire code or something for them to be able to get out of the building. But I don't think the door, the doors are probably locked, like people can't get in from the outside to come in.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Okay. I mean, that makes me feel better, but it still is like, well, if he was out in the hallways by himself without a buddy, or even just by himself and that they have to keep the classroom doors locked, and then they can get out of the building, if there was an intruder, now they're in the hallway by themselves. There's no helper. There's no teacher. There's no nothing.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Yeah. That's, that's scary. I would like to know from other moms, like if they have had any experiences like this with their kids, because it could not just possibly be just us too. No, just for the record, because I'm sure that people, parents or somebody from the school is listening, I am in no way complaining. I was just saying like, this was just an experience and it's just questions that we have. I'm not mad or upset, like Lincoln's fine, the teacher apologized, like whatever.
Starting point is 00:38:11 I'm just saying like, in this instance, like what would they do? Because he wouldn't have been able to get back in the school because he already walked out the back door. Right. And then if there was somebody that had gotten in the building or he, you know what I'm saying? Like, how would he have gotten back into his classroom because the doors would have been locked and he was just in kindergarten, is all. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Yeah. Well, if you're listening, share your stories because I want to know them. I want to know like all the crazy things that has happened. Kayle, can we talk about, I don't know if you saw this, but it was one of the Hadid sisters had posted a photo of herself on her Instagram that was taken by the paparazzi and it was
Starting point is 00:40:44 like Getty images or whatever. So then they filed a lawsuit against her for posting the photo and not crediting the photo. But I kind of feel like, I respect photographers work but I feel like if you're making money off of my image that I didn't give you permission to take, I should be able to do whatever I choose to do with that photo. That's a, they shouldn't be able to sue for that, I mean you're taking a picture of her and you're making money of her and she didn't really give you permission to take pictures of her so therefore you can't turn around and then sue her for using a picture.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Yeah, I know, is that not crazy? Like five? I don't know what the fuck goes through paparazzi's head sometimes. Like what? I just don't understand the thought process behind it that it's literally a photo of her. Like she didn't, she was outlining her business. Is it still on her Instagram? No, I'm sure she probably took it down now that they said that they were going to sue
Starting point is 00:41:55 her. But that's weird because I feel like, I feel like other celebrities have done that and I did not have like the Getty images like logo or whatever, like the watermark. I didn't see it when it was posted so I don't know if it had the watermark on it or if it didn't. But this is the way I feel about it. Because how would she get it if it didn't have, if it didn't have the watermark, how did she get it to begin with?
Starting point is 00:42:18 I know, well, and then so last night I was in an event and Getty was there and I asked them for their business card because I was like, okay, well, if you post any of these photos, like can you get sued? I asked him and he was like, well, he said, yes, you can get sued if you post in a specific way. And I was like, okay, so he went through and explained to me how you have to like download it. Like you have to have some type of like membership or something like that to Getty and like download
Starting point is 00:42:55 it. And then once you have paid for the photo or something like that, then of yourself, I don't feel like you should have to pay for a photo of yourself ever, ever because they're nice and wack off of you to begin with, yeah, I don't think that that's fair. I mean, if you're seeking out a photographer and choosing to get your pictures taken, like I don't know, say family pictures or some type of like event or you need headshots, like obviously you're paying for a service, but when you're having paparazzi style pictures taken, that is not a service that you're choosing to pay for that is some and some people will
Starting point is 00:43:33 argue and say it comes with the territory, but I don't agree. I don't agree that it does. I definitely don't agree that you can be going out getting a Starbucks and somebody just be taking your photo without your permission. If somebody did that to a normal person, they would be offended. I think they would sue for like stalking or harassment, probably, yeah, like something crazy. Mm hmm.
Starting point is 00:43:59 I don't, I don't know. I just think I think it's wack. But I know people will say that are you on the other side will be will you put yourself in this situation, you chose this life, you chose this like, no, nobody chose to be violated on a daily basis. So that's a lie. Moving on though, can you believe that we have almost been doing this for two years? I cannot believe that when I saw I pulled up on my computer 99 episode 99, I was like,
Starting point is 00:44:31 no fucking way. Like we really did this for 99 episodes. Yeah, is that not crazy? Next week will be our 100th episode. First of all, when people ask me all the time, they're like, how did you do this podcast? How did you do it? I'm like, well, Lindsay reached out to me. It was actually her idea.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Like in the beginning, I was kind of apprehensive about doing it because I feel like everything I learned at school is like, you have to love podcasting. They're not money makers. It's like, you have to love doing it. And at first I was like, I don't know that I want to do that. If I don't know and I did it anyway, just because I was like, I might as well give it a shot. I mean, you miss what is it?
Starting point is 00:45:08 What? How did they? How does this thing go? You missed a hundred? You missed a hundred percent of the shots you don't take. So I was like, fuck it. I'll try it. And then I fell in love with it.
Starting point is 00:45:16 And here we are a hundred episodes later and I'm like, what the hell like what has gone on? Like I feel like we are kind of going through a revamping phase. Like I feel like both of us are kind of like, okay, where do we want the next year to take us? Not that like anything, like we're still going to be podcasting. You don't think that, but I don't know. I just feel like we've gotten a lot of feedback from people over the past two years.
Starting point is 00:45:45 It's definitely known that people enjoy our solo episodes over any other episodes, which is surprising to me, honestly. Yeah. I mean, obviously there's those few guests that people are loved and they've been asking for, but I think the dynamic of me and you, I mean, that's how we started was with just us. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:09 I just, I don't know. I just think it's like weird. I would think that people would want to hear like from more guests and, you know, hear like a refreshing voice or, you know, something like those those episodes are so specific. Like we have like a certain topic or like some people are not familiar with them. And I don't know. Like when you, it's kind of like watching like Christina's best routine mom, it's like you grow with these people, you become so, what is the word?
Starting point is 00:46:36 Like Invested You grow with them. Yeah. Invested. And so like it's kind of like that for our podcast. People are invested in Kale and Lindsay, not Kale, Lindsay and whoever else. Like it's obviously nice to hear from other people, but just saying like overall it's
Starting point is 00:46:51 our podcast, like our podcast. Right. Yeah. I know. But I am so excited for the future. I hope that we're going to be able to record in this coming year more episodes of Just Us because I feel like that's what the listeners are craving and you guys can, you know, comment in on the photo for this episode and let us know if that is, you know, how you feel.
Starting point is 00:47:18 But that is definitely a priority and I feel like getting back to the basics of how we just used to talk about current events and like the random stuff that was going on in our life like that week and stuff like that. I want to kind of bring it back to that, but also still have some fun guests because it is much needed and especially like with the awareness episodes, I feel like certain things that we aren't versed on or haven't had experience with, I feel like those guests are, you know, needed. So, right.
Starting point is 00:47:54 I don't know. It just feels good. Like it feels good to be like almost two years old, you know, I can't believe that. That's so crazy. We put it like that. Like I don't feel new anymore, you know, no, yeah, definitely not new and it's so funny because I love when people, when they come up to me and they're like, Oh my God, I love your podcast instead of, are you team mom, you team mom, like, well, first of all, I
Starting point is 00:48:18 earned my nerve prior to the podcast, like, are you team mom? No, my name is Kale. I have an identity outside of team fucking mom. So now when people are like, Oh my God, I love your podcast, I'm like finally I'm being recognized for something other than team mom. I know I get the I love your podcast more than anything. Yeah. It's like every time somebody comes up to me now it's like, I love listening to your podcast
Starting point is 00:48:44 every week and that's like feels good in my soul. I'm like, I did something right. Like we are doing something right and I, I love it. Two things that we need to catch up on before we go. I want to recap on what's going on on team mom for the team mom people who are listening. And then we're going to talk about something else. Oh, I know what we're going to talk about. So actually today after I record this podcast, I'm actually filming my, I think today I believe
Starting point is 00:49:18 and I kind of hope today is my last day of filming for the season. But so far I think episode three just aired. And it was me talking about Chris and like Chris not wanting the baby to film, which we are listening to each other and hearing each other out. Sometimes he will film. Sometimes he won't. He doesn't want them in every single episode, which I think is fair. And people weren't actually giving me a lot of shit because my, my kids love Chris and
Starting point is 00:49:50 they think that it's me forcing Chris on them, but Chris is around regardless because that's my son's dad. So and when he is around, he plays with the kids. So naturally they're just going to like him. They're not worried about my relationship with him unless I'm asked to talk about where we stand in an episode while we're filming. So which is obviously going to happen. But on a normal day to day basis, I don't talk about my relationship with Chris in front
Starting point is 00:50:16 of my kids. Yeah. I was going to say like, I feel like you actually never talk about it with anybody unless you're asked to talk about it, right? And then I think in Leah's segment, she was having Addy tested, they thought that maybe she had cancer. I think it did not end up being cancer. Think the fricking universe.
Starting point is 00:50:39 But I will say, and I don't think they filmed about it, but you guys know I just lost Bear about a month ago and Leah actually just lost her dog a couple of days ago. Wow. And her dog was only three, but that, I don't think that that's not going to be filmed about. But I think that was her segment. I'm not sure. I think Adam showed up to Aubrey's game in the last episode for Chelsea and Aubrey. And I didn't really, I guess I'm surprised that he's still coming around for her.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Like I didn't realize that he was still coming around. And in the episode, I don't know how it is in real life, but it seemed as though she didn't really care. Like Aubrey was like, oh, like happy to see him glad he came type of thing, but like also didn't like stick around to like hang out with him or talk to him. Well I think that we both collectively have the same opinion on this because we've talked about it before that Cole's raising her. So you know, that's understood.
Starting point is 00:51:40 I was reading, I forget where it was, but I was reading and I saw some article that said that Adam was returning to Teen Mom. So maybe that's what it was about. I have no idea. Maybe it was contractual who honestly really knows. But are you happy so far with like what's been airing or are you sad or how do you feel? No, I feel good about what's airing so far. I feel like I have not talked shit about anybody as far as my dad's go because I don't really
Starting point is 00:52:12 just sit around and talk about them like we just said unless I'm asked to. So I do feel like I'm getting a better version of my story on this season so I hope it continues. And I'm curious to know if, because I don't feel like we filmed like a season, like a series finale. Like I don't feel like that. So I'm curious to know if we will get a tenth season. Oh wow. Well, definitely you'll get a tenth season so that's not really a concern.
Starting point is 00:52:44 I did have a question though. Do we know how the reunion is going to play out or we don't? I don't. I did ask yesterday when I was filming I was like am I going to film a segment with Lea or like what's the plan here and Patrick was kind of like I hope so like I hope. I personally will not. They have asked me if I will sit on the couch with everybody and I did say no. It doesn't have anything to do with Brianna or the drama or Janelle or any of that.
Starting point is 00:53:12 It's more so for personal reasons like I really just don't want to go back to that space. Like I feel like there was drama in the past and based on that I don't trust the producers and I don't trust some of the cast members so I just, it's nothing against Chelsea. I know a ton of people have written in and asked if me and Chelsea are still friends. We're still friends. There's nothing. There's no bad blood. Jayden and I are fine.
Starting point is 00:53:37 It's so annoying when people are doing that. Yeah. Yeah. Like they just like read into it. I just, for myself, I have a company, you know, I run Pothead by myself with Kristen, you know, she helps me and you know, I have the podcast and I have just like things that I want to do and I just do not want to put myself in a position where I would maybe act out of character again for somebody who is not affecting my day to day life.
Starting point is 00:54:06 So for me, I would just have to say no, I won't sit on the couch with anyone but Chelsea and Leah and it's just not worth it for me. I mean, and I've asked to have Breonna on the podcast. One of the producers had maybe suggested having her on the podcast, but I just, again, like I just don't think that it fits well with what we're trying to do. Right. Well, and maybe there's a time and a place for that at a later date, but now it doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:54:36 It doesn't work. Well, thanks for the updates for all of the people that are listening. Let's hear your update. Kale. So, apparently there's something called like National Daughter Day or something, what's it called? Yes, National. I didn't know that there was, is there a National Sun today, but I did see it trending
Starting point is 00:54:56 on Instagram, National Daughters Day. God, I don't know. I don't have a daughter, so that's probably why I'm not concerned. But I kept getting these tweets and these DMs that were like saying horrible stuff. And I was like, okay, what is this? So of course I'm going to go and investigate like what's going on and why I'm getting these DMs and these screenshots of these posts. So I go and look and my dad went on Instagram and posted National Daughters Day and posted
Starting point is 00:55:30 a photo, a series of photos with Savannah about her being the best daughter. And then a photo of Chloe and how she was like a great daughter or something like that. But then I guess people were saying if you can't post it all, like don't post it at all and that it was intended to throw shade and it was intended to poke. And so I mean, I don't really know because I'm not in his head and I don't really know like what's mentally going on up there. But yeah, honestly, I will say I wasn't surprised at that move. It speaks true to who he is and what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:56:15 So I felt like I wasn't shocked, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt because I would be a liar if I said, oh, I don't care. You know, I mean, I'm not going to sit back and lie and say that it didn't bother me. However, that was the intention was for it to bother me and for me to find out about it. But I think it's funny that I found out that that was going on over screenshots. I'm also blocked on all social media platforms and also found it was kind of interesting that there's been no consistency with the story.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Well, that's what I was just about to say, so obviously I don't know him, but it's very strange to me that he would say like he doesn't know why you're doing this and he still loves you. You're always going to be his daughter, but then turns around and doesn't post you for National Daughter Day. So it's like pick a side and fucking stay there. Well exactly. And I find it kind of funny too that I was all the rage a couple of months ago when we
Starting point is 00:57:23 were having conversations, but then now all of a sudden because I go and say the truth. Now you know, you're throwing shade at me on National Daughter's Day, but I don't really care and the grand scheme of things like it's one day that I didn't even know was a thing. So honestly, like it's really nothing to me, but happy National Daughter's Day to Kayle and I. And yeah, we're not really too concerned, so how did you know me? How did you know? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Okay, so I got these on a lighter note. I got these little koozies for Jackson's teachers for like little fall teacher gifts with like reusable straws and I was going to put his teacher, like he has three teachers. So I was going to put their favorite coffees in them and send it to school as like a gift. So I did not know that this brand, I just found them on Instagram. It's called Love Mitch and I found them on Instagram and they had like these cute patterns and you got some too, so I just have to send them to you. But oh, thanks.
Starting point is 00:58:44 They're so super cute. They have like all these patterns, but it was so funny because I had posted an Instagram story about like teacher surprise ideas and had posted it and I got so many direct messages and comments on my page of people saying, oh, like you've joined the Love Mitch train. Like I didn't know that it was a thing and like it's a thing. Oh, I've never even heard of this. I love that you're telling me about it. I did see your Instagram story and I thought it was super cute, but yeah, I've never heard
Starting point is 00:59:12 of that. Yeah. Well, of course I got you like some camo ones because you're like, you like to be camouflaged. You like for nobody. Did you see I had posted a picture of my boys the other day and they somehow we all like I put Lux and Camo the same day that Lincoln and Isaac picked out Camo for themselves for Wacky Wednesday and I was like, how like we all are for sure the same family for us to have picked out Camo for the same day.
Starting point is 00:59:41 I was, it was so funny. Wait, did they, did they pick it out because they like it or is it because you bought it and it was Camo and that was their choice. No, they pick it out. I let my kids pick out their own outfits and like do their own things. So like when I told them it was Wacky Wednesday, that's what they picked and they do love Camo, especially Lincoln. Lincoln loves Camo.
Starting point is 01:00:00 I think more than Isaac does, but I'm like, yeah, we're definitely, you're definitely my child. That is so funny. I was dying at Lux's outfit for his pictures. Picture day. Yeah. When he, he looked like he was going to his nine to five job and that button down denim shirt.
Starting point is 01:00:20 Oh, wait till you see these pictures because when I tell you he crossed his arms and pouted his lip like he was mad at the world. I cannot wait to frame this picture and give it to everyone for Christmas because I'm like this kid is his father's child. Wait, is that my Christmas gift? Because I will cherish that because it is so, I mean, it's not funny because he was like really pissed off, but it's funny because I'm like, you really did that for your pictures. And I think that Lincoln was pissed off also for his, like when he went there.
Starting point is 01:00:47 So it was like, this is honestly so funny. This is honestly so funny because this is your mother. That is probably you on picture day. That's Chris all the time. I'm dead. Oh, my God. When is the next time that we're going to grace each other with our presents? Hopefully soon.
Starting point is 01:01:07 I feel like we should probably do that soon. I wonder if it's going to be in October when that's right. You're in New York. Maybe it'll be. Maybe that's when we'll see each other. Okay. Well, I'm down with that. That's like less than a month away.
Starting point is 01:01:23 I know. Have you started picking out Halloween costumes for your kids? I'm not doing Halloween this year. I'm leaving that to their dads. I had them last year for Halloween. So you don't want to be spooky. Like what are you talking about? No, I don't.
Starting point is 01:01:39 I want to, maybe I'll get to sleep in that day. Kale, like you're literally, you're canceled. I love canceled. Yes. I love Halloween. Okay, so you are off to film, hopefully your last day of season 2,135 of Teen Mom 2. Teen Mom, yeah. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:02:07 They rip us off. They rip us off because they do, a season is 12 episodes, but in our contract it says that a season can be up to 24 episodes.
