Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift giving and receiving. Receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say thank you? This is Coffee Convo's with Kale Lowry and Lindsey Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels Kale. That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you. A spirited discussion about motherhood, friendship, family and life in the public eye.
Starting point is 00:00:18 I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kale and Lindsey. Good morning. anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kaila and Lindsay. Good morning. Welcome back to another episode of Coffee Combos podcast. Wait, are we drinking the same Milani? Same. Love that for us. Same one. Orange Kiss. It's not my fave. It's not my fave. I like drink out of the two orange flavors. I do prefer orange. Do not say creamsicle one.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Yeah, I love that one. I hate that one. Not a fan. Do we wanna talk about how my hair doesn't look frizzy today and I'm on day three of no washing? You're training your hair. We love to hear it. Yes, ma'am.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Would we like to talk about something else that I've been doing that is quite literally psychotic? Yes. And like, I'm embarrassed to tell everybody, but here I am on this podcast telling everybody. I have been watching TikTok videos of people washing laundry. That's new. Trust me, I know. I'm like, what the amount of time that I'm investing and watching these people wash their laundry, I should be washing mine. Okay. So, what is it about the laundry washing TikToks? I don't know. I think it's some of my OCD and wanting to be the best cleaner of everything that I possibly can. I follow this one Instagram account and I forget what it's called, but it's where they go into these people's houses
Starting point is 00:01:46 and they do like deep cleans on stuff and they show you like what products they're using to like clean a baseboard. So now I have taken that a step further to literally go into the search bar and type laundry on TikTok and watch all of these random people doing their laundry that I don't even fucking know. I mean, you know what, here's the thing about that. It's like it's kind of sort of like doom scrolling, I feel like it's just like never ending. But also, that's the type of content that I feel like will motivate you to do those things. And so I feel
Starting point is 00:02:21 like that's, that's the type of content that I want to see if I'm going to be scrolling, I want it to be stuff that's the type of content that I want to see if I'm gonna be scrolling. I want it to be stuff that's productive and like helpful. Useful. Yes. Yes. Agree. So I've watched this one TikTok and it was, I love clean smelling laundry. Like my parents have the best smelling laundry ever and always have. And I don't know what it is. I could use the same stuff and their laundry still smells
Starting point is 00:02:47 better than what mine does. So I'm like, okay, well, obviously I'm doing something different than what they were doing. So let me try to figure this out. So that's what started my scroll. Now I have gone and bought multiple different brands of those unstoppable beads and a contain- this is psychotic. A clear plastic container so that I can mix these beads so that I can get the scent that I'm
Starting point is 00:03:14 looking for. Okay, Elijah Scott. Why is he- does he do this? Elijah is very, very specific about his laundry. About laundry. What do you mean? Like the beads and the laundry detergent, very specific. Okay, so are you the type of person that you go to the store and buy laundry detergent
Starting point is 00:03:33 and it's just like whatever's on sale? No, I just use Modere. Well, I also use Modere non-scented. Because I have never really cared because I wear so much, I know I shouldn't. I know that fragrance is not good for us, but I'm here to tell you that that's one thing I'm not giving up. And I wear so much like perfume and like body sprays.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Like I just love to smell good. So I don't really care about my laundry detergent because as long as my clothes are clean and I wear perfume, it doesn't really matter. Okay. Well, speaking of perfume, I need to know if perfume scents that you put on your body remind you of a past relationship or like a specific time of life that you've been in. Yes, and there is two fragrances that remind me of exes
Starting point is 00:04:20 that I don't ever wanna smell again. But isn't that so sad when it's something so good? Yes, because I'm like, okay, not for nothing, but like my kids wear cologne and I love those scents so much that I wanted to get them for my kids, but like they can't wear those. No, because every time you smell them,
Starting point is 00:04:37 you think of that other person. Yeah, so now they wear Gucci Guilty and Elijah wears Dior Savage. I don't know what it is, but I'll link it. Well, Trent wears a YSL one. No, see, she used to wear a YSL cologne and literally one of my favorite, favorite fragrances of all time. And I don't even want to go near it. Is it in like a clear bottle? I want to run near it. I want to go near it. Is it in like a clear bottle? I want to run near it.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I want to run near it. Is it round? No, I think this is a new one that they just came out with and it's very good. I'll send you a link, honey. I also need to tell you this message that I got on Instagram this morning and I don't really know how to respond and wanted to read it to you. She says, hi, Lindsey, I'm feeling lost and don't know where to turn as I don't have anyone that can even remotely understand what I'm going through.
Starting point is 00:05:31 My husband is currently facing an impending indictment from the federal government. I'm feeling lost and broken. We have three daughters, 20, 11, and one, as well as I am four months pregnant with baby girl number four. My husband is a good man and is truly innocent of what they're accusing him of. I've been staying home since our youngest was born. He is our sole provider. We have a strong legal team who feel confident if we have to go to trial.
Starting point is 00:05:55 But the thought of that is daunting. The financial aspect even trying to fight is terrifying. I'm not sure what I'm even looking for with messaging you. If you could please pray for us, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to assume a pending indictment probably means that they received a target letter from the government to let them know that they're under investigation.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I don't really know how to respond and wanted to respond. My parents went to trial and I would not advise that to any person in the United States to go to trial with federal government. You would encourage them to settle or take a plea deal? Absolutely. I just don't know much about the feds, but my guess would be that they're not going to waste their time and resources on a case if they don't think
Starting point is 00:06:45 it is essentially a slam dunk. And so that's not something I would fuck with. And their conviction rate is so high that it's just not something that I would ever advise anybody to fight the feds on. If the feds came and knocked on my door, I'd be like, fucking take everything. Have it all, including me if you want me to. Like, take me now. I just feel so bad, like for people who go through stuff like this with children, whether they're grown or like you're raising them.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Speaking of feds, have you been following the P2D stuff? Oh yes ma'am, I have. I was gonna talk to you about that. I saw it all over Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, like everywhere I could possibly see it. This morning I saw it. I did not know the depths of the claim. I knew that Cassie made claims and I knew that I, you know, I had Aubrey O'Day on
Starting point is 00:07:51 Barely Famous. And so she was hinting but she was like scared to talk which rightfully so. But the depths of this case, I could not I, I guess I just can't understand things going on going this deep for this long without it coming out. Like how is it just now coming out? Wait, let's back up. So you had Aubrey O'Day on Barely Famous. Yes. What is the connection? She was making the band, which was produced by Diddy.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Okay. So that was the connection. Yeah. So they've worked together for years and they had a very volatile relationship. And essentially she just hasn't really been able to tell the entire story because of, you know, fears of what would happen if she really said what it was. But she has been trying to tell people for a long time, you know, things about Diddy, but she had to be careful. And then Cassie came out and they went to settlement. And so all of these things are coming out. And I know, do you remember the fat Jewish on? Oh, absolutely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:55 I think his real name is Josh. If I am remembering correctly, he did this whole interview on a podcast and was basically saying like, what happened when he showed up at like Diddy's house for like this party. What did he say happened? Oh. Tell me more. So I'll send you the video, but he basically goes out and says like,
Starting point is 00:09:18 all of these things were, there was like a room in this house party where like men were hooking up. And he was like looking for the bathroom and he like opened the door and was like, is this the bathroom? And they were like, no, like that was a room where the men were all hooking up or whatever. And he went on a show and like was talking about it and they ended up not airing it because the producers and stuff, they normally do live shows, but they were like, we have to pre record you because you're basically like a loose cannon. We don't know what the fuck you're going to say. but they were like, we have to pre-record you because you're basically like a loose cannon.
Starting point is 00:09:45 We don't know what the fuck you're going to say. And they were saying on one interviewer show, they were trying to get him to say that he was just kidding and making it up for jokes. And then on another one, they just flat out weren't going to air it because he was going to say that. And they were like, Diddy is powerful and crazy and you are going to get yourself fucked up. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:10:03 So they never aired it. And then he talked about it on the podcast. He talks about never aired it. And then he talked about it on the podcast. He talks about it somewhere else, and then he talked about it somewhere else, that aired, they tried to get him, and he never took it back. He would not say that it was for jokes. Okay, so in an article that I found on Associated Press,
Starting point is 00:10:16 it says, fed search Sean Diddy Combs properties as part of sex trafficking probe. Two properties belonging to him, Los Angeles and Miami, were searched Monday by federal Homeland Security investigations agents and other law enforcement as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by federal authorities in New York. It says it's not clear whether he was the target of the investigations and the officials were not authorized to publicly discuss details of the investigation. But I think a lot of his stuff is in his kid's name, which is even more fucked up,
Starting point is 00:10:51 and I don't think they can find him. So I think he fled the country long before this. So the TikTok I saw was showing the route of where he was taking a private jet, I guess, to Bermuda. Is that what you saw? No, I didn't see that. And that he had landed? In Bermuda? That's what it said. Do we have extradition laws? Can you see if we have that with them? Okay. So it says TMZ reported that the private jet was tracked down amid raids in the Caribbean
Starting point is 00:11:29 Island. It says that Diddy's personal Love Air LLC jet, the well-known Black Gulfstream 5, looks like it is on the ground in Antigua. Antigua. Yeah. So I don't really know where the fuck he is or why he's there. But don't you feel it's kind of odd that he would have taken off to the islands? Why wouldn't he go also, but like why your homes are being raided? Like, also, why are you not going further somewhere else?
Starting point is 00:12:06 Because I don't feel like the, you have a house in Miami and you're going to the fucking islands. Like what, what's the thought process there? But both of those homes were raided. Yeah. In the event that you were under some type of federal investigation and your home was being raided, like I want to be here and see what they find.
Starting point is 00:12:26 But now you're a flight risk. Now, we already knew that you were corrupt and all these things, but now you're a flight risk, so it's not going to look good on you. Okay. I'm not trying to speculate. I'm just saying, do we think it's possible that he took his jet to the Caribbean islands for the purposes that he was not under arrest and they can't stop him from going there yet. I don't know, because if you... Like he hasn't been arrested, I don't know. Something sketch about that.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Because when the feds had said we are not investigating him at this time, I've heard, I've read that that was like code for the feds being like, we are investigating him, but shut the fuck up, stop reporting on it because now he's going to get clued in that we're investigating him. And so he kind of had a heads up that this was a possibility. And so you're right, we don't want to speculate, but also we're in the entertainment section of life. So that's what we're here for.
Starting point is 00:13:26 And I don't know. This is just the whole thing is sketch. I mean, I say I'm not speculating while I've come up with a whole theory in the same sentence. This show is sponsored by care of actually, I could take my care of vitamins right now because I'm due. I'll read you guys my quote of the day on my care of vitamin. It says, hi, Kaylin, today's song lyrics.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Ain't about how fast I get there. Ain't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb, Miley Cyrus. I absolutely love Care Of. There's so many things that I love about Care Of, but if you guys have not heard of Care Of, it is a health and wellness company that ships high quality personalized vitamins,

I just took all my vitamins while we were recording this ad. Starting point is 00:15:19 No? Well, apartments.com instant alert feature works exactly that way. Instead of scanning rental listings a million times a day, simply set and forget your search to whatever you're looking for in a place and let apartments.com do the rest from pet friendly apartments to balconies to in unit ACs. Apartments.com's powerful search tool lets you know when the perfect combination of features you're seeking is listed.
Starting point is 00:15:43 So you don't have to power through rental descriptions one by one. With more rental listings than anywhere else, apartments.com's instant alerts means that you can spend less time online looking for the perfect place and more time doing you. apartments.com the place to find a place. I didn't know about I don't really like follow Diddy. But when I saw this, I was like, wait, I need to know more. But it says that there have been several sexual assault lawsuits filed against him in recent months.
Starting point is 00:16:13 One of those was from Cassie alleging years of sexual abuse, including rape. The lawsuit said that he forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them. And the suit was settled days after it was filed. Correct. I did. I remember when all of that went on. So that's all brand new news to me, but that kind of cooperates. What is that guy's name?
Starting point is 00:16:37 The fat Jewish? I think his real name is Josh. I'll post the video and also here, I'll hold on. Kind of cooperates to some extent what he said he saw. 100%. 100%. Right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:51 And here's my other thing. Was this lawsuit settled and it was a sealed record type situation for an undisclosed amount? Was it a monetary something? What was it? He paid the settlement with Cassie. It was payment. He paid her. I'm sorry, but there is no amount of payment for that type of abuse that is going to work for me. I just sent you the podcast interview. So yeah, switching gears really quick. I want to mention what happened at basketball practice yesterday. Oh God.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Really quick. And I thought it was really interesting because I follow a creator on TikTok who talks a lot about equal partnership and the mental load and she talks about all those things. And so yesterday Lux had baseball practice, Lincoln had basketball practice in two separate towns within like one was from six to seven and one was from seven to eight. And so it was very difficult for me to kind of get where I needed to be. And so I figured it out. But we also have three babies at home that are and it's freezing outside. Otherwise, I would have just brought them with and it wouldn't have been an issue. We could have divided and conquer, but it is so cold outside. And
Starting point is 00:17:59 then Rio goes to bed at seven. So it's not like he could have kind of been like caught up in the hustle and bustle. Right. So I get to basketball practice. I'm talking to one of the teammates moms and she had twins. And so we were kind of talking about that. And she was like, wait, she's like, your partner is at home with all the other kids. And I was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:19 And she kind of looked at me and she was like, almost like judgment. It felt and she was just like so dumbfounded and I'm like, that's their dad. Like he This is about to get into a very long conversation. It doesn't have to be a long conversation. We already know where it's going to go. But I just wanted to say that was my first experience firsthand. I've seen it in other families and other situations, but that was my first time with someone being like, your partner is at home with all the other kids.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Yeah, I mean, that's what he, that's, what do you mean? See, that's what I don't understand. So Jackson's basketball practices used to be very late. Like they started at 8 p.m. and it drove me absolutely nuts. So they weren't getting out of the gym. If practice didn't end until nine o'clock, you know they're not getting out of the gym. If practice didn't end until nine o'clock, you know they're not getting out of there at nine o'clock. It's like 915 whenever we're rolling out of there, got to come home, do the shower, whatever. I have
Starting point is 00:19:13 one. There were multiple parents on that team that had younger children that were younger than the child that was playing. And it absolutely broke my heart to see some of these moms carrying along infants and two-year-olds and six-year-olds at these late practices when those kids need to be at home. If you have the opportunity to have somebody that can be home, why would you not do that so that everybody is fulfilled? Well, and that's kind of where I have a, that's like Elijah and I, that's our dynamic. It's not, he doesn't, Elijah doesn't not come
Starting point is 00:19:54 because he doesn't want to be there, but it just doesn't make sense to pull, you know, if the weather is really nice, like hopefully like later in the spring and early summer, like when the school year is ending, like we'll be able to take the babies out, but like it's entirely too cold and it's still like their bedtimes are like the twins' bedtime
Starting point is 00:20:10 is not really set and then Rio goes to bed, like I said, between seven and 7.30. So it just doesn't make sense for us to like, also when he's here with all three babies, he's able to make sure that dinner is done. So it's like, he has the, you know, the kids here. And then I had Lincoln, Lux and Creed with me. So it was like, Isaac can get his stuff done, you know, just see that makes so much sense to me.
Starting point is 00:20:33 It, the other situation doesn't make sense to me. Like, why are we bringing an entire family to a practice? That's silly. And I don't know what her situation was specifically, but she had, um, her, she had one kid, she has one kid on Lincoln's team and then the twins. She had no idea who I was. So that's why I like, don't care to talk about it. But it was, she had her other two kids with her.
Starting point is 00:20:56 And for me, it's like, if her husband was home or her partner, if she has one was home, and he's not doing those things to make everybody's life easier. Like I just don't. So anyway, well, we could dive into that next time. I want to ask you, the twins, there's no set bedtime, right? Not yet. So they just, are you like having them on the same schedule or they're not really on the same schedule?
Starting point is 00:21:24 Absolutely not. They don't, that we tried, they do not want to be on the same schedule. They do not want to eat at the same time. They do not want to be awake at the same time. And so I think that's why I mean, they're five months old and it's a struggle. So. So I saw this fashion influencer that posts her kids' schedules and stuff like all the time and when they're taking naps and what they got on their plate and she's got two children. I believe one's like three years old and one's under a year. As I'm scrolling through stories, I see this other creator who also follows this same influencer that said, I really get tired and frustrated when I see somebody posting how perfect their
Starting point is 00:22:14 life is and how they have like all this stuff scheduled out and how, you know, everything looks perfect and the plate and, you know, every down to to every single detail. And she was like, can we just normalize that not everything is always going to be on a schedule and where it may work for some people, it doesn't work for all. So why are we sharing that type of stuff? And I feel conflicted on it. I'm like, okay, well, I think the girl that's posting this stuff, I feel like she's coming from a good place and it's like what works for her. But just because it works for you doesn't mean it's going to work for everybody. And I agree with that. I think that
Starting point is 00:22:52 there are, but like I said too, it's like social media can be toxic in that you can compare yourself to others. But like I said, in the beginning of this episode, when you're talking about laundry, it could inspire and encourage, you know what I mean? And so said, in the beginning of this episode, when you're talking about laundry, it could inspire and encourage you know what I mean? And so I think in some ways, it's like I am conflicted as well, because you're right, what works for somebody else doesn't work for me. And I've had to check my own self about that. But also, I want to see that because if they're posting about what
Starting point is 00:23:21 exactly how they're doing to make it work, it might, you know might inspire me to try that and see if it works for me, or if it doesn't, I might be able to come up with my own system to get something to work for me. For me, getting ready every day has helped me have more energy and wanna do things, and I don't feel as lethargic because I'm ready and I'm able to get things done. And so for me, that works, and I'm able to schedule it out.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Just like Elijah staying home with the babies and me taking the older kids and running around, that works for us and that's how we make it work if you don't have, I don't know. I feel conflicted in that. I do. I feel like it's a good thing to share, but sometimes the oversharing. I have one friend who is also in the influencing space and she told me, was like, you know, there have been times of my life that I've had to mute certain people's accounts because I cannot, it's not that I don't want to support them, but I just can't see it because it's not good for my mental health.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yup. And I'm not in that place to where I can do all of those same things. And I very much understand that, but it just felt like I understood the other person that had posted, you know, I get sick and tired of seeing like whatever, that's fine. And if it doesn't work for you, allow it not to work for you and then just keep your ship moving because it's obviously working for her. And to the point that it's working for her so much that she shares
Starting point is 00:24:44 it so regularly because people want to see it. See, yeah, people get attached to the same way I feel like we get attached to characters and shows or books or in reality TV. How many times have people said that they feel like they know us because they've been on TV, right? I watched a TikTok yesterday where she says that she is so invested in the creators that she follows that they're, you know, she looks for their certain content.
Starting point is 00:25:06 And if there's like a journey that they're going on, or like, you know, people were messaging me about family pictures, which I wish that I ended up filming more stuff about it, because people were talking about like, no, I'm invested in this specifically, like tell us more or whatever. You know, I agree with that. There's two specific people that come to mind
Starting point is 00:25:22 that I have muted right now because, and one of them, I did not mute myself. Um, Kristen took it upon herself to go on my account and mute her because I was playing the comparison game so bad that it was, she, Kristen noticed that it was not healthy for me. And so when I went to go mute somebody else, um, I had seen, I was like, I was wondering why I hadn't seen that person's content anymore. And what was interesting about that was I wasn't seeing it. And so I wasn't having negative feelings or comparison. And so I want to support her. I was comparing in a way that was like, I incur like happy for her, but also not healthy for me. Does
Starting point is 00:26:03 that make sense? I don't want to not support you. I fully support you, but I also, I feel like I'm not on your level yet and it's making me feel bad about myself. Like it's such a weird place. But then this other creator, I'm like, I wanna wanna support you, but I don't support you. And so I, but I do, but I don't.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Huh? Do you have the ick from this creator? Yes, that's exactly what it is. It's like, I in theory want to support you, but I can't support you because I know this to not be true. Does that make sense? 100%. 100%.
Starting point is 00:26:34 So like I want to want to support you. And sometimes, listen, I don't really mute that many accounts actually. That's the only two people I have muted. I have never muted it. I've never muted an account until this year, actually. That's the only two people I have muted. I have never muted it. I've never muted an account until this year, 2024. The only time that I unfollow someone ever is if we break up. Okay. Like I'll fucking unfollow you because why do I need to see the fuck you're doing and
Starting point is 00:27:00 you definitely don't need to see what I'm doing. So let's just like make this easy and cleave away. I will not mute you if I do not want to see yourself. I will just simply unfollow or I just won't look. If I see you in my thing, I'll just keep scrolling along. But I feel like some people just don't have the wherewithal to be able to keep scrolling. And there might be a specific person that I know that you're talking about. I feel like I know the answer of the person
Starting point is 00:27:36 who's muted on your account. Type it in the chat. Okay. No, I love her. Is that not who's muted? No, I love her. Is that not who's muted? No, I love her. I wanna be like her. Who is it? You actually remind me of her.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I like, when I see her content, I'm like, Lindsay Chrisley, is that you? That is not me. I wish that I could create like that. I love her. No, I'm... Are we typing? Those are the two. You know what?

Message and data rates may apply. See terms for details. Okay. Can we talk about Quiet On Set for just a couple minutes? Because I watched the entire thing to the point that it was so unhealthy for me. And I'm not even kidding you. I went and found like Amanda Bynes old Twitter account,
Starting point is 00:30:07 looked through all of the stuff. I am completely alarmed and so disturbed to the point that I also went and found Dan Schneider's home and I wondered why, I'm pretty sure it's like a $30 million home. Are you joking? No, like when I tell you the rabbit hole that I have gone down,
Starting point is 00:30:28 like I need to know where everybody lives, what they're doing. You know he's trying to make a comeback, right? Yes, I also saw that. Here's the thing about that specifically. Had he made, already made his comeback before this doc, I do think that it would have been possible and I think he would have.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I think that now that this doc is out, him making a comeback is probably slim to none. While we're on this speculation game, on what was Amanda Bynes Twitter account named? It was like- Ashley Banks. Ashley Banks. Ashley Banks, yes.
Starting point is 00:31:06 On there was some very disturbing tweets about getting pregnant at 13 years old. And everything that I saw said that there was speculation that it was Dan Schneider's child. Yeah. child. There was also allegations from the Twitter account of abuse from her dad. From Amanda's dad? Yeah. That was on there. But there was also allegations that her parents were spending all her money. Which is completely alarming and would totally make sense to me just based off of
Starting point is 00:31:45 everything that I saw from quiet on set. How her parents were basically the most chill but the most involved. So do you believe the allegations that the dad was abusive and that they were spending her money or do you think that because I also know that she went under conservatorship or some sort of something similar to a guardianship. Which again I go back to the same statement that I've made before about these conservatorships and guardianships.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I don't think that it should be a family member that has that kind of pull. Specifically when you have a child like Amanda Bynes who is working in that capacity as a child and making that much money. I just feel like there are lots of lines that are blurred and crossed when a parent is taking that kind of control. I agree. I also don't know,
Starting point is 00:32:37 I think that the parent should be involved, but I don't know that the parent should be like the managers, right? Like, and I think that's where some of it gets a little convoluted because- Although, I will say, broke my heart when I saw- Drake Bell. Drake Bell. When I saw Drake Bell's dad on that documentary, I think he had enough indication that like something was not right about the situation that Drake was in.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I don't think he knew to the level of what it was going to go, but his spidey senses were up, right? And I just hate to say, I believe that it could have ended very differently had his dad remained his manager? I would agree with that because he got a very bad feeling about Ryan Peck. And so I think that he would have been more watched, but he was trying to go under what Drake wanted versus to make him happy.
Starting point is 00:33:38 You wanna keep him in the acting and stuff cause that's what he wanted. But I don't know, I do feel like his mom dropped the ball a little bit. I think that she got too comfortable. I think that she really let her son down. I'm heartbroken for Drake because he got on TikTok. He's on TikTok right now.
Starting point is 00:33:57 And he said that nobody has reached out to him to apologize for their role in this and writing letters in favor of Brian Peck. He said that nobody has reached out to him personally to apologize. And I find that when you write a letter to the court system in favor of this, you know, you do a character letter and you write in favor of the person who is, you know, now that all of this has come to light, if they did not know the circumstances in depth of what they, you know, what he was being tried for or what he was, you know, convicted or not, you know, not convicted
Starting point is 00:34:34 of, but found out that what, what he was actually doing, make sure that your apology is as public as your character letter, because that was seen in court. I'm sure it was read in court. I'm sure that many people in that courtroom have heard, you know, those letters and then they were unsealed. Now make sure that you apologize in private and apologize publicly because if you didn't know the extent of what was going on, you need to apologize for not knowing because to me, what are you going to say? Oh, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:35:02 I didn't know and that's a public apology, but you're not apologizing to the person that it happened to. Fuck you. I was just about to start talking about those letters. I was actually very disturbed by that. The fact that these letters were written by people in the industry, I don't understand, goes back to the conversation we had about predators in prison, right? And that officer saying they're like the nicest, you know, whatever people, helpful. While all of that could be true, that doesn't negate the fact that they have victims.
Starting point is 00:35:40 And it very much bothered me that there are people who are very well known people in the industry that wrote letters and have not come out and publicly said anything. Guaranteed there was no private apology. That's what I'm saying. That's what hurts me more is that there's no private, because I almost, I almost wish that they would privately apologize and not even necessarily worry about the public apologies but also to take it a step further on these these character letters after seeing Quiet On Set and the character letters that was happening
Starting point is 00:36:18 I cannot for some reason 2023 was a year of every single person and their mother asking me for a character letter in 2022 and 2023 I wrote at least four character letters for people. I'm no longer doing that. Don't ask me for one. Why are you saying that? Because the one person that said publicly that he did not know the extent of what went on and that he was basically felt bad for writing a character letter. He didn't know the extent of what was going on. So I am no longer, do not ask me for a character letter because if I don't know exactly what I want to see the list of charges, what you're being
Starting point is 00:36:55 charged for, what you're accused of, don't ask me for a character letter. See, I don't even think that, and I also think it's a problem with the system, right? That they will accept these letters without... I feel like if they're going to accept a character letter from someone, then those people should be provided with all of the documents and the records for them to view themselves before they choose to write a letter like that. 100%. All I will say is I was very disturbed by the doc.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I would watch it again. I thought it was a great watch. An eye opener. Very eye opening. And to know that my siblings and myself included watched a lot of these shows and to know what was going on behind the scenes now makes me feel disgusted.
Starting point is 00:37:46 Well, what's interesting is I saw a video basically, like commentary on it as well. And they were like, we'll never get a Disney channel doc because Disney protects their brand so much in a completely different way than Nickelodeon ever would. And so we will never get a Disney doc. The closest that we'll get to that is, you know, stories from the people directly like Demi Lovato or whoever, you know, is on those, what was on those. Raven, Simone, Raven, Simone. Do you think knowing what we know today about everything coming to light? Do you think that some, some of those things could still go on in onset today? I do. You do. Do you think that people will go to greater lengths to hide it and cover it up, or do you think that it will happen in plain sight like it did then?
Starting point is 00:38:31 I think now that people are more aware and you got to look at when this stuff was going on. There wasn't these documentaries coming out exposing people. There was not, the internet was there, but not, you know, super prevalent as it is today. I think people are becoming way more comfortable to speak out and tell their story and their truth. I do believe it happens. I just believe that people are way more careful about it and people are also way more protected today.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Did I hear it correctly when they said that after Brian Peck was charged and was required to register on the sex offender list that he then worked on another child show after that? Yes. How the fuck did that happen? I don't know. I don't know. But supposedly didn't he the people that he was working with on that show, didn't he basically allude to the fact that it was all a misunderstanding and it was like cleared
Starting point is 00:39:33 up now? Who? That's what, that I'm pretty sure there was like a, it flashed up and it was a statement from the people that he was working with that he had told them that it was all a misunderstanding and like everything was cleared. Yes, I think you're right. So they weren't doing in depth background checks where like you would see or like get notified that this person was registered. That's not an excuse to me. And I don't know if Nickelodeon has always been under the Viacom umbrella, but if it has Viacom is a huge brand, a huge company.
Starting point is 00:40:09 So it's not an excuse. At all. At all. And what if you get a ticket? I got a ticket for my tints the other day, right? Like, and I mean, I knew that my tints are too dark. But that being said, if I didn't know, I can't say, oh, I didn't know. That's not an excuse.
Starting point is 00:40:24 I know. I can't say, oh, I didn't know. That's not an excuse. Mm hmm. I know. Well, what was also alarming to me was the fact of the lack of the background checks on the like production assistants and stuff. Because there was three for the same. And I'm thinking for myself, being on Chris Lee knows best, I certainly hope that they did background checks on everybody because you've got to think about the intimate nature of that business and being around people in that capacity. People see you change sometimes. People are around your children. You eat with those
Starting point is 00:40:57 people. I mean, your entire life is exposed to those people. You know what's the crazy thing? is exposed to those people. You know what's the crazy thing? You know, I've been covering prison brides on Barely Famous, as you know, and some of the felons that are capable and fully making efforts to redeem themselves for, we'll say nonviolent crimes, felonies, but nonviolent, or, you know, were charged as an adult, but they were kids,
Starting point is 00:41:26 will never be able to get a job or have really, really, really low paying jobs for the foreseeable future, probably their whole life, and kind of forced back into the streets but we're letting sex offenders reoffend in on kid shows. Like that to me is like, what in the fuck? Mind blowing. Coffee Combos podcast is brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Hey, is like, what in the fuck? Starting point is 00:42:50 I'm talking guests like Jonathan Van Ness, I would love some tacos. Heidi D'Amelio, Big Brothers Taylor Hale. I have to bring it up because it happened and we're going to get through it. What I do. And so many more. So come hang out with us, hear ridiculous confessions and get a little vulnerable because you know what? We're all just floating on this weird little planet together.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Follow, rate and review Off the Vine podcast wherever you listen to your podcast. Last thing I want to say on this and then we can move on. The part about Dan Schneider and how he was removed from having access to talent like Onset. To me, that is very telling. What do you mean? If Nickelodeon knew what type of value he brought to them, which they did, they moved him to a capacity to where it was protecting them while also protecting the talent to some degree. But you can't really say protecting talent because it went on for a long period of time.
Starting point is 00:44:09 But moved him to protect themselves so that they could still use his creative brain and he still had somewhat access to them when you're talking storylines and inappropriate things. At the point that they deemed that the stuff that he was doing was cum shots and there was these jokes going on behind the scenes, that to me, he should have been removed at every capacity. Right.
Starting point is 00:44:38 But I think when there's that much amount of money at stake for this corporation and now they're finally competing with something like Disney Channel, I don't think that it mattered. I don't, I truly don't, I think that ethics and morals go out the window at some point when you're looking at dollar signs. And if the price is right, they'll let everything,
Starting point is 00:44:59 they'll let anything slip under the radar. Because I feel like that started to happen with Teen Mom, to be honest, well, I think that things started to occur that because there was so much money being brought in that eventually they were like, we'll let this slide and see what happens. And I have had the same experience you become a number. And at the point that, you know, something else becomes at risk
Starting point is 00:45:23 because of you. They don't care. No, they don't. As long as they don't care. Yeah. As long as they have jobs and money. They will hire outside counsel outside of their own counsel to cover their ass. Oh, and don't, don't, don't count on HR because HR is hired by the company. That is to, they're going to say, Oh, we found nothing.
Starting point is 00:45:43 They're not there to protect you. They could say they're third party, but they're not. They're paid by that, oh, we found nothing. They're not there to protect you. They could say they're third party, but they're not. They're paid by that company to look out for that company. 100%. Fuck HR. So, I mean, I can tell you that firsthand. So that's very interesting.
Starting point is 00:45:56 I can tell you that firsthand as well. It's crazy. Same story, just a different time. You know what I mean? Speaking of kids and the entertainment industry and all of these things, there was some uproar about WeTV and Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, that whole situation.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Did you watch the TikTok? No. What is this? So basically, are you gonna watch it really quick or do you want me to tell you? No, I want you to give me the recap. Okay. So Mama June and Honey Boo Boo, Alana. Mama June and Alana are doing a scene for their show on WeTV. I think her sister was involved and Mama June is basically saying that she spent all the
Starting point is 00:46:37 Dancing with the Stars money and she was taking a cut of the girls' money or whatever and Alana has $33,000 to her name and does not have money to go to college. She's now 18 wants to go to school. Most of the money is spent. And so it's this whole thing where you know, the girls are getting on on TikTok live on Instagram and talking about how the money is gone. And so everyone is kind of up in arms, like how do you spend your child's money? And so I ended up getting on TikTok and talking about how, you know, I spent my own money
Starting point is 00:47:11 and there's some money in the beginning of, you know, my TV career where, you know, I have nothing to show for it. I blew it and it's gone, but never did I ever touch my kids' money. And I felt like this was a good topic for you because you are so, I don't like the word anal, but like anal about protecting Jackson and all of his best interests.
Starting point is 00:47:31 And so I wanted to see what your take would be on this. And did he get paid for Chris Lee knows best at any point? And does he have like a trust fund for like under that you are the guardian of or the custodian custodian too. So without throwing anybody under the bus for anything, but while also remaining honest, Jackson was never paid for Chris Leano's best ever. I fought for that, but it was said that there was a certain allotment for my family unit, meaning like mine.
Starting point is 00:48:07 And that already is a very interesting payment setup because how do you even divide, like if that was how I was offered to teen mom, like how would I divide, like what would I think is fair for my kids versus like, that's really interesting. Very. fair for my kids versus like, that's really interesting. Very. I did have many conversations with the production company and with the network and HR and legal. And I said, you know, I don't really feel comfortable having him film this anymore. And he's not making the same paycheck as someone else. That's not really fair. So from today forward, if we cannot come to agreement, then he will
Starting point is 00:48:53 never appear on the show again and he never did. So but again, I mean, this still goes to show you're not going to exploit your son in any way, shape or form if he's not getting something because that's that's for me. There are people who are like, Oh, kill you, you would be nowhere if you didn't get knocked up at 16. Okay, yeah, I understand that. But also, I took the initiative when I found out I was pregnant to go out and look for opportunities. So yes, it's because I was pregnant. But also, but also it's like, you know, now that my son, my son is was born and then I got had Lincoln and Lux and things like that. They deserve payment, right? Like, to some level, they I don't want to call
Starting point is 00:49:32 I don't. For me, I don't believe it was exploitation. I don't think that we filmed their meltdowns and like these really vulnerable times for them. But they deserve payment and I'm going to protect their their money at all costs. And so to me, watching someone spend any amount or take, I didn't take a management fee from my kids, from any of, none of my kids, I didn't take a management fee from any of them. It's whatever they were paid was put into, and I even advocated for them to be paid more for certain seasons and things like that. And so I thought it was really interesting that, and a lot of people were saying, oh, drug
Starting point is 00:50:10 addiction this, drug addiction that. My mom is a former addict and she's a current raging alcoholic. She's never asked me for a dime. So to me, that's not an excuse. I don't feel like, but I guess it goes back to the conversation in the beginning of this is like what one person can handle, somebody else cannot. And so maybe someone else that has a drug addiction can't handle, you know, access to funds without spending it.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I don't know. It's just really interesting to me because even if they were paid virtually nothing for the first show, if my son is paid $200, $200, $2,000, $2 million, it's going in an account. It just felt very odd to me with my situation. To the point that I got an attorney involved and it was going to be more problematic than what it was worth for my mental sanity. I just knew he was not going back and he was not filming anything. And that was a deal breaker to me.
Starting point is 00:51:09 We can talk child labor because I dealt with all of that. So my child's not working for anything for free because no one else is going to work for free. So that was the bottom line. As far as Honey Boo Boo and that whole train wreck situation that has been going on for a long period of time, I truly don't understand how they still have a show. Oh, they've had multiple shows.
Starting point is 00:51:35 They've been on- I know. They've been on Dancing with the Stars. Alana went on Dancing with the Stars. I don't understand. How do you spend, I'm pretty sure from Hot Tonight, they've had, I think they've had multiple of their own shows. I just don't understand. But weren't they canceled off a TLC and then they've been picked up for multiple things
Starting point is 00:51:55 since then? Yeah. Insane. And I also would be pissed if I was Honey Boo Boo and I had $23,000. Just saying. Then I'll probably go to taxes this year. Are you ready for spring break? I'm so ready for spring break.
Starting point is 00:52:08 I'm ready to be, Isaac's the only one packed for our trip. I'm not gonna tell anyone where we're going for the sake of our privacy, but we are very excited. Isaac's the only one packed though. Isn't it so weird? I feel like we've never had a spring break on the same week as each other. Yeah, I think this south, I think everyone, south, Midwest and the West Coast and then the East Coast all have different like weeks. But you and I have the same week. We do? Yeah. And we've never had
Starting point is 00:52:36 that. Yeah, we've never had that before. Maybe because of the way Easter fell. Oh, I bet you that's what it is. Because I think Easter plays a factor. I know for us, our spring break always typically aligns with Easter. So no matter where Easter falls is where our spring break is. Because this is actually a late spring break for us. This spring break, I always love when spring break is in like April, like middle of April. And why do I feel like it's like a spring break? Why do I feel like it's normally around that time? I've always had it in March around my around my birthday.
Starting point is 00:53:14 All right, let's talk about the weather breaking again, because I know we just talked about the difference in whether where Lindsay is versus where I am. I do have another update, and I'm sure that you've already seen it, but this is from NBC News. I do have another update and I'm sure that you've already seen it, but this is from NBC News. The mother who left her child at home for 10 days to go on vacation was sentenced to life in prison
Starting point is 00:55:00 and she blames her mental health for leaving her child alone to go on vacation. No, no, no, no, don't want to hear it. vacation. No, nope, nope. Don't want to hear it. And in her testimony, she said that she took blame for her actions. She was experiencing emotional stress and experiencing relationship issues with the child's father and said that her daughter has always been everything to her her whole world to her. And that she's always in her heart wherever she goes. No, no. I think that this is a situation of an eye for an eye.
Starting point is 00:55:33 She said that she was in the hospital in January and February of 2023 because she had emotional and mental problems. On those two occasions, she wanted to make an attempt on her own life. And for that reason, she was in the hospital without being able to walk for exactly almost two weeks. In the month of March, with her ex-boyfriend, she wanted to take this vacation. So at the point that she was struggling with her mental health, and if she was in fact being treated for that, where is the family to then take care of the
Starting point is 00:56:07 child? If she's able to get help for herself and be treated for these things, she's able to acknowledge the fact that's coming from someone who is in, I suffered from severe depression. You chose to leave your daughter. And I don't want to leave your daughter. And I don't wanna blame anybody else. However, doesn't he hold some responsibility with it being his child too, knowing that she was leaving that child alone
Starting point is 00:56:35 and they were going on a vacation and that she was struggling so bad with her mental health? At that point, doesn't he have some kind of obligation to step up? Where is his role in? Yeah, is he not being charged at all? I haven't seen anything about him being charged. He should be charged as well if it was his child.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Like it's insane to me. That's that's that is a very good point and I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. You're 100% correct. But that's that's all I have on that. Well, on that note, we can get into foul play. Perfect. So I wanted to send this in for a while now. Backstory, both my husband and I have been married before.
Starting point is 00:57:14 We also moved into his hometown last year. In my new town, I'm starting to establish doctors. I'm also currently changing my maiden name to my married name. I start with a gynecologist appointment because our health matters. Anyways, I met a nurse, doctor, everything is fine. I do have a vaginal cyst I've had for two years and lately has been giving me problems. So I asked the doctor to check it out
Starting point is 00:57:33 and what the next steps are. She said it's not a problem. She proceeds to look and inform me that it'll have to be surgically removed. And if she could invite the surgeon in to get his take on it, I'm thinking, okay, sure. Just invite another person while my lady bits are exposed, which I feel like you have to expect that when you're at the...
Starting point is 00:57:49 I know, but... 100% You can also decline. I don't know. He comes in and immediately sees my married last name, which is pretty unique, and asks me, do you by any chance know blank, my husband's ex-wife? Mind you, my legs are in the stirrups. I say, oh, she's my husband's ex-wife. He immediately, my legs are in the stirrup. I say, oh, she's my husband's ex-wife.
Starting point is 00:58:06 He immediately is embarrassed and stumbles for what to say. He starts saying, oh, I used to work with her. And when I saw your last name, I thought there might be a relation. She's a very nice lady. I liked her. I'm gonna stop talking about her now. I tried to save his embarrassment and say,
Starting point is 00:58:18 oh, I've met her too and she's super nice. But then he got to looking at my broken lady bits. I laughed so hard when I told my husband, he told me I should have been petty and asked if she was working yet since she had her license revoked for buying illegal drugs For something but I'm not that type of person now when I get to the doctor appointment I'm waiting for someone to ask me about her. It's become quite a joke with me and my husband Okay, this is so who is it this? this is so interesting because But who is it? This is so interesting because when you live in a small town or in this person's situation
Starting point is 00:58:50 and they're moving into a town where their husband has been married before, I come from a very small town. My parents grew up collectively, all of my parents grew up within miles of each other. So obviously, my dad and mom had Kyle and I from the first marriage. And then when Julie got pregnant with Chase, her doctor was the same doctor that delivered Kyle and I and I always thought it was like the strangest thing. I'm like, is there no other doctor that you can go and see? That's just weird. Like he has seen and it was a male doctor. So he has seen both of my dad's women's lady bits.
Starting point is 00:59:37 So we OK, because you can relate to this then. Do you feel not just doctors, though, but do you feel I also come from a very small town, like very fucking small. And this area is not very big either. So you can drive from top to bottom in three hours. And I just, for me, I'm like, y'all couldn't have picked a different doctor, a different dentist. Like I feel like, it's so weird. It's not the kids fault, but also I'm like, okay, Javi and I were here first.
Starting point is 01:00:06 And so we kind of established like who we're going to. And like, it's almost like my picks, some of my picks were good enough for them to take their kids to and some of them weren't. They're like not good enough. And I'm just like, just don't go with any of my picks. Like it just feels weird because then things get weird with the accounts
Starting point is 01:00:22 and things get like, oh, this person owes this and this kid owes this, but Lincoln's on both accounts and he should only be on yours because you're the pay, like I just. I'm just like, why can't we just get our own providers? Yes. So- I was really hard to find these providers that I love. Please go pick your own. So it's so funny that this even came up because it's something that I've been experiencing
Starting point is 01:00:46 for like the last six months. Will and I still go to the same dentist. So I know every time he goes to the dentist and like what's happening because I get the text notification, like hope you enjoyed your appointment, whatever. Or I get his bill in the mail and I'm like, wait a minute, like he's not even my husband anymore. So like why am I getting this And that's probably actually a HIPAA violation as well. And I'm like, y'all, do you know how many times Kristen's called that dentist office and is like, how many, how many times can I tell you to separate the account? They haven't been married for three years.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Like this is fucking weird. Will and I also used to see the same doctor to get our physical every year and now he still sees him but I don't Yeah, I don't love that I had a situation with um, I don't want to say because I love I love the office I don't want to say anything but um, I was like, we need to separate these accounts because I don't I don't want to know when they have not because
Starting point is 01:01:40 I have I don't want to know when they have the balls checked or like when they're having testing done like I really just like don't need to fucking know that. No, thank you. Moving along. My husband left me confused after our morning sex session this morning, but at least I got a foul play out of it. I'll cut right to the chase. Well, please fucking do. We were in the middle of foreplay. He was flicking the beam to be
Starting point is 01:02:04 exact. I only say this detail to point out that nothing was going in and out of my vagina. I tensed up and then released and farted. I went from being embarrassed to confused real quick because without skipping a beat, my husband said, Oh yeah, baby, let it out. Excuse me, sir, what? Let what out because I know you're not talking in a sexy voice about me letting a fart out of my butt. Did he think it was a queef?
Starting point is 01:02:33 If so, I have a whole nother set of question. Does he think queefs are a sign of orgasm? Anyways, I didn't let it totally ruin my mood. I just tucked it away safely for this email. Thanks for the content babe. Well, can't wait to hear your opinions on what he thought was happening Thanks ladies for always getting me through the week Do men really know the difference between a queef and a fart because I I can confidently tell you The last person that I was with would definitely know the difference between a queef and a fart.
Starting point is 01:03:06 I think only specific men do. I don't think that all men know the difference, even though all men might claim to know the difference. Do men think if you queef that you orgasmed? I don't necessarily know if that's what they think it is. I think that it could be that they, not look at them but like they think that they were doing their job or something or I don't know. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you something that happened to me.
Starting point is 01:03:32 You queefed. Yes, but like never had like had never known myself to do this before okay. But and I have never told anybody that's like, my face is getting hot. I'm not okay. So I saw this one meme on Instagram one time and it was like, why is your pussy farting? The person responds and says, well, if you were filling me with dick instead of air, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Starting point is 01:04:08 When this happened to me, I, I repeated this meme because I thought it was really funny and it wasn't funny. It wasn't funny to them. And I was like, wait, wait, wait, wait, like I didn't make that up. I saw it. I saw it on Instagram. I'm like, sorry. You don't need to apologize.
Starting point is 01:04:32 That's true. That's the damn fucking truth. Stop filling me with air. Damn it. Why am I so full of air? Elijah probably has his ear to like the door in this and he's like, what are they saying? What the fuck are they talking about? Elijah, that is your notice to fill with dick not air. Thank you guys for
