Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift-giving and receiving receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say? Thank you This is coffee convos with Kale Lowry and Lindsay Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels Kale That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you a spirited discussion about motherhood friendship Family and life in the public eye. I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kale and Lindsay Hello, everybody. Hello, Lindsay. I Needed that energy today. I got my alani and it matches my shirt So I'm ready to go. I already drank that one this morning. Do you like it? You did? I do love it I've been on the peach thing. I also have a prime right here next to me
Starting point is 00:00:45 So since I'm still recovering from the bug, I just want to make sure I'm hydrating the same You know just to I don't want to go back to that that place where I'm in a diaper and not trying to shit myself So, okay, so a couple things to all of those points First of all, welcome to coffee convos podcast. Welcome. I can't lame. I Have the peach not a super fan of it. Okay Is it breezeberry or the blueberry one? Whichever one it that is is my favorite If anyone tries to argue and says that there is another alani flavor that's better than that You're immediately wrong
Starting point is 00:01:21 the other thing was I was tagged in something on Facebook about Your whole house having the stomach bug and how there's this toilet that you can get for the car Oh, yeah, I got it. Elisha got it for me and somebody was like kill needs this for all of her Pissing and shitting problems. Yeah. Um, well, thank God for Elisha because he's on it and he did get it for me So I'm also gonna call you out. Heard you're wearing a diaper. Yes. I Was wearing a diaper. I'm not wearing one today today is officially day one with no diaper and I'm feeling pretty good. Hmm. Well, you look great today. I am not on camera again I know what the fuck is up with that? I'll be back on camera next week. I am just mentally
Starting point is 00:02:12 Not doing well, and I don't look well and I look tired I haven't slept in a couple of days I just ate a half of a Chick-fil-A wrap because I just have not had an appetite for a few days Okay, and that was the first thing that I had had since Yeah, like 48 hours or so ago But I did have an alani this morning and got a coke, but let me tell you something I'm listening I no longer can drink like a large Chick-fil-A coke And I am now convinced that the smaller ones the flavor is better. I
Starting point is 00:02:53 Don't love Chick-fil-A coke. I tried to get one last week or the week before I forget when it was Chick-fil-A coke is not it for me. It doesn't taste it doesn't have enough syrup in it It's not the same as a McDonald's Coke. Well McDonald's Coke is supreme, but When they stopped serving their large drinks and styrofoam cups I kind of got away from it because it does not taste the same out of a plastic cup No, it doesn't taste the same out of a plastic cup. Nothing tastes the same as out of a plastic cup No, and so I went back to Chick-fil-A and it's funny because when I'll go through the Chick-fil-A drive-thru sometimes
Starting point is 00:03:31 I'll go through and just order a coke and multiple of their workers. This is how you know They're good Christian people because multiple of them have said You know, you can just go to McDonald's and get a large drink for a dollar, right? Because it's like two dollars and 21 cents or 12 cents. I'm dyslexic. So I don't know But yeah, they always try to put me on a McDonald's so that I'm not spending that extra dollar and I so I appreciate the people at Chick-fil-A for that but there is a reason that I'm in that drive-thru I don't know when McDonald's switched over to plastic cups, but it's definitely not my cup of tea Okay, listen the other day
Starting point is 00:04:11 I it was late at night and I Was somewhere I'm not going to tell you where I was but it was late at night and I was coming home um from that person's house and decided that I was going to peel through the McDonald's drive-thru to get a drink and When I tell you McDonald's workers give absolutely zero fucks like Doesn't matter if there's a policy. They don't care about it. This person told me hey our line truly long and we're busy So we're not taking any more orders. We're pissy. No, we're busy. Oh
Starting point is 00:04:44 I was like, we're pissy. That's new We're busy and we're not taking any more orders and I was like, sir um I'm just trying to get a coke like I'm not trying to get food or anything. Yeah But also you're still like legally open. Can people can they turn customers away for being busy? Like I guess that's their prerogative, right? They were like, we're busy. We're busy. We're we're not taking orders anymore. We're busy We're not recording podcasts anymore because we're busy. We're booked and we're fucking busy. What is happening? Okay, and I need to Go ahead. No, I gotta tell you one thing before I because I will forget
Starting point is 00:05:20 Okay left my house this morning and I when I tell you I have not had sleep in days I contemplated Allowing Jackson to sleep in until like nine mainly so that I could sleep in um, and I was gonna have him go to school late, but then Mom brain kicked in and I was like, okay I actually need to make him go to school because he has a math test this week And I can't really think about like what part of the day that is so to avoid me thinking I'm just gonna get him up and like take him to school so
Starting point is 00:05:53 Get him to school and he tells me as we are in the carpool line to drop off He goes mom. There's a potential. I could be late. Oh There's a potential and I'm like, yeah I know but like we're doing our best So we keep driving up when I tell you all the kids in his little section were Going so fast into the school and my son was walking like he had nowhere to be I literally rolled down the window and I was like Jackson and the principal looked He looked and I go get to freaking class
Starting point is 00:06:29 He didn't he looked back shrugs his shoulder Keeps walking slut like and I wonder why his morning work comes home Halfway done most of the time and I'm thinking it's because he is walking He has like perfected this slow walk into the school So he is not actually late by like the school standards But he is taking his time to get to class so then he's not getting enough like all his time to do his morning work Correct. That's exactly what is happening and I told will when I text him this morning I was like you need to come home from this trip and get your son because like literally my nerves are so bad right now
Starting point is 00:07:04 As is that I can't take it but his slow walking ass walking into that school this morning really pissed me off I'm not even kidding. I'm not even kidding and will goes When is he not the slowest person in the room? And if he's late, he's late. Nothing you can do about it I said well tomorrow he gets breakfast on a timer and three minutes short of that because he took three minutes to walk from the car Inside to the school. I mean He has to use his brain power and his walking speed He's saving it for something big, you know what I mean? So something is going to spark his interest and light a fire under his ass and right now school's just not that
Starting point is 00:07:43 School was not that today because when the child walked outside and let the garage door open this morning and realized that it was raining He goes Just great And I said what and he goes just great. My teacher's already canceled recess. She saw this rain. She canceled it I don't even want to go period That's Lincoln. Lincoln is like if we don't have recess, there's no point in going I cannot
Starting point is 00:08:08 That's it. I cannot wait. Okay. So I need to ask you when your kids get in trouble They do something bad like whether it be at school or at home What do you do to discipline? It depends on because the the punishment has to fit the crime. So I feel like it just really depends Which child at it child it is because they all get disciplined A little bit differently. Um, let me think so I mean Isaac Isaac's gotten his phone taken away. He's had his phone taken away. He's had his playstation taken away. He's had
Starting point is 00:08:42 Um, but this past year he's been doing really great So, um, Isaac also I he I had to sit him down and get a tutor because he was letting his grades slack Not his grades his english stuff Um, and I basically had to sit there and babysit him for all of his work and instead of being like giving him the power to Get his work done. I had to sit over his shoulder while he Completed his work. So things like that. Um, I'm trying to think I can't think of I can't think of anything off the top of my head But when I think of it, I will get to you on that Okay, so when Jackson got in trouble at school this past week
Starting point is 00:09:17 I made him I got a gallon ziploc bag and I made him bring down his playstation controllers Okay, his phone. Yep. We've done that kendo switch his laptop. Yep And when I tell you I wish that it was more of an impact and I think it was an impact immediate like, uh him having to do that was Impactful because he had to put all the stuff in the bag himself and he realized he wasn't going to play it But once it was down here, it's like he never skipped a beat Like he just picked up the ball in his room started playing. I mean, I can't take everything away
Starting point is 00:09:52 So I'm like you can do arts and crafts like I don't care if you still shoot on your hoop in your room Um, but no technology. Okay. Yep. We've done that. I've done that for all my kids like you're not on the game You're not on and with Isaac. I've had to take um I started taking the controllers instead of just taking like saying no playstation I've taken the controllers because he used to Get up in the middle of the night and then play. Oh, yeah. No, they kids are so sneaky like the sneakiest ever Jackson when he knows that he has done something and he's messed up like he'll just go get that shit on his own
Starting point is 00:10:29 He's like here. I'm turning in like the contraband like everything's here Here's the remote for the tv also just in case You didn't ask me for that but just in case because he knows that he has messed up to that level He's like it. That's it. Like I'm good I'm bowing out. Isaac got um, he got a new phone for his birthday And so and I gave him a whole speech before he even knew that he was getting a phone um, because he had it taken away for his grades and um For like six months. I was like, I'm not comfortable giving this to giving this phone back to you until
Starting point is 00:11:04 Your grades are back up and then they're consistently up It's not like you're just getting a couple good grades to keep them up or to get them up and then you slack off again So I gave him this whole speech. He didn't even know he was getting his a new phone. He thought he was getting the same old phone back um Same thing. Yeah, I mean and with my kids too like they I wish that the technology had a bigger impact, but what's crazy is Those they'll act like they didn't skip a beat when they get the stuff taken away But if they have the things in their possession and I'm like, okay, it's time to go outside for a couple hours with no technology
Starting point is 00:11:36 It's the end of the fucking world. Oh, it's the end of the world when I I'm not even kidding you this weekend there was no technology and the joy even though my house was much Louder because he's bouncing and you know doing whatever and asking me a million questions and wanting me to get out You know ship for art projects and the kinetic sand and like all the stuff Yep I really didn't care because I knew that he wasn't sitting in front of A screen like they already sit so idly for seven hours in a school day That I'm like coming home and getting on playstation now if it's like a rainy day or whatever. I don't really mind it
Starting point is 00:12:14 but to have that built into your schedule every single day And knowing that they've just been sitting at school in a desk for like seven hours I told him I was like absolutely no more like we're Not gonna do technology all week and long like if you want to do a Friday night like come home You've been good at school all week. You play fortnight. You do that with your friends That's okay, but Saturday morning rolls around you're off the technology agreed This episode is brought to you by better help when you're at your best you can do great things

Okay, so I I haven't been buying out this kind of goes along with that. So try to follow the bouncing ball here Um, I completely agree with them sitting in the classroom all day. They're not really getting I mean the 15 minute
Starting point is 00:14:08 I don't know how many um Recesses or how long jacksons is I think ours are like 15 or 20 minutes and they have one recess a day And then they come home and they're my kids are bouncing off the fucking walls and then they also I keep my pantry stocked like that's like one thing that It's a blessing and a curse because I love being like the snack mom like the snack bitch But I also hate I do that because I spend so much money on it
Starting point is 00:14:34 I started researching red dye number 40 or whatever it's called and um It's been linked to so many things and I'm like, you know what aside from them not coming home and getting right on the game Or getting right on the switch or getting right on their phones or whatever the case maybe I'm also Not buying snacks and I completely let them finish whatever whatever was done before they went to their dads and this week I'm going to take the drive up to um trader joes because allegedly trader joes and all we have like the sections of The ones without dyes without red 40. I've I've read a lot of things that red dye is in every fucking thing
Starting point is 00:15:11 Um for color like even salad dressings like all kinds of wild shit that you wouldn't even think it's in and it's linked to behavioral shit And so I don't know if it's true, but that's what I was reading So I'm also going to do that because I feel like between being in a classroom all the time The game and the technology and then also all this shit that they're putting in their body. It's probably no fucking good Um, so all a combination of all of that. I wholeheartedly agree with you that It's just not we're not it's not great to be in the you know sitting down It's like jail to be sitting in there. I have never I have never talked about the red 40 before but when um
Starting point is 00:15:51 We did the What is it called like digital learning or whatever during covid when jackson was out of school? Mm-hmm. I did a trial with jackson with his pediatrician to pull him off of red 40 So like his menu was completely different than what will and I were eating Okay, and I was very strict about it but Literally, it is so hard to find products that don't have it in there It's in things that you wouldn't even think that it is in
Starting point is 00:16:23 um, it's very difficult and I I truly feel like If you're going to do it you have to apply it to people who have Multiple kids in a household I feel like they would have to apply it across the board for everyone because if you don't remove the stuff out Then it's going to get cross contaminated. It's not going to you're not even going to realize that they're Having something that has the dye in it and it has to be like completely they have to be completely free of it So, okay, so it can't you can't just like remove a little bit of it. It has to be completely removed so I was told like a completely red 40 dye free diet and the reason that we even did this in the first place was because
Starting point is 00:17:05 I was totally against um ADHD medication like totally against it for Jackson It took me forever to accept the fact that I was ADHD and needed to be medicated for it um So I was very much against putting him on there All the reports that I had read about it stunted growth and you know, I'll see I didn't know that I didn't know it stunted growth too. I thought it was like all of behavioral stuff like things
Starting point is 00:17:32 it's like not so I opted to Do this like trial thing to do an elimination diet and essentially eliminate the red 40, okay? and We didn't see a significant difference That would have been enough to justify, but we did see Some difference. Oh, okay. Okay. And do you mind me asking how long you guys did it for?
Starting point is 00:17:59 well, so he was Digital learning from august to the end of october so that whole time August september, okay So like three months and it was easier for me to do it I took advantage to do that trial during that time because I had him at home So it wasn't like he was going to school and having school lunch or possibly like a snack from you know, someone else or whatever So it was easy for me to kind of control that in-house. I knew exactly what he was eating for all meals um
Starting point is 00:18:30 but I would recommend if You have any You know Concerned with your child's behavior and you you know, believe that they do have a behavioral issue There is a link with the red 40 and Behavioral issues in children. Will you send that to me whenever you have time? I It's not so much that they have behavioral issues as it is more like Bouncing off the walls when they come home from school and then the crashing because they're you know, their diets are not
Starting point is 00:19:00 They're not super great. I know, you know, the food at school is not super great luck started recently asking for me to pack his lunches so he doesn't have to buy it um And just I don't know like just when you know better you do better kind of thing and so I just want to see if it would help um I'm gonna say try try everything from a natural approach first That's always been my approach. Try the natural approach first and then in the event that that doesn't work Then you can explore other options. I was
Starting point is 00:19:28 That way with myself um, I'm that way with letting colds and Sicknesses try to bite themselves off before getting an antibiotic like I'm a big believer in that so I think that that's great And you'll have to keep us updated on if you notice any difference. I would highly recommend you journaling um And writing down You know, I don't know which child this applies to and might not feel comfortable to talk about it
Starting point is 00:19:53 But I want it to be for all of them. I just I feel like all of them kind of have Something that it could be, you know for for Isaac and myself It's more, you know, not necessarily the red 40 But like just like a better diet in general for our mental health and then for Lincoln who's in sports I just want him to have a better diet and then for Lux, he's still really struggling. I mean, we're halfway through the school year and he's still struggling with the no nap thing um That's been so hard. And so then his behavior is I don't want to say compromised, but maybe that is a good word for it
Starting point is 00:20:29 um, so when he's coming home from school and just the emotions and the Just um, he's over tired. Yeah, and just like over Over stimulated and all of these things. And so I just feel like maybe the red 40 would is Possibly contributing to that. So yeah, I mean some of it might not help But maybe maybe it could help. I don't know And then creed he's just young enough that I feel like it would be beneficial If it does in fact work for us or I do see a change in luxe it could work for creed. I don't know um before we get into
Starting point is 00:21:01 Tick tock o'clock because I know that you have some tick tocks that you wanted to share I did also want to say that when And I've talked to other moms who have multiple kids that you have to just look at your child individually and not Collectively and if you're going home after school with your kindergartner and you have older kids It's okay for the one to take a nap if he still requires it Jackson it's too late. It's too late in the day that then he won't sleep at bedtime see
Starting point is 00:21:28 Jackson would come home from kindergarten And I would make him take an hour nap when he got home. Okay, and then we went to bed at 8 30 And he would be fine and he would be fine And that just became his routine when I started let when I let him fall asleep on the way home from kindergarten that Like 20 minute ride He wouldn't fall asleep at 8 30 and then by 7 so I started putting him to bed at 7 45 Which feels really early and it's not really
Starting point is 00:21:57 It it doesn't really work out during sports seasons and stuff But that's when I was like, okay the 7 45 bedtime is really helping like he's falling asleep faster because he's not overtired But if I let him nap he's not going he's not falling asleep at bedtime. So I just don't know I don't know Well, also when we come home from school, we also have quiet time Okay, Jackson's old enough to Not have to do that probably but I think it's good for them to like decompress
Starting point is 00:22:27 They've been around people all day long like have a snack Decompress from your day. Yep. And then like we can communicate and go through this behavior chart That's probably not the best report. So um actually speaking on I was reading or someone sent me something and it was about um transitioning for kids when they come home from Um stressful days of school their their other parents house for co-parenting Putting them in an epsom salt bath helps with the um like de-stressing
Starting point is 00:23:01 collecting unit not collecting their thoughts because they're little but like It helps What is the word? Let me see if I can find it that just reminded me of this Epsom salt for the kids when they have spent time with the other parent It can be confusing for kids when making the transition back home and as the intuitive and perceptive beings they are They will have absorbed a lot of energy from those around them salt baths cleanse their Oric field it grounds them and recalibrates their energy to your home Plus it relaxes them supports their sleep and helps them overcome colds quickly
Starting point is 00:23:33 um And so I wonder this says co-parenting transition tip But I wonder if that's also from school too because that's a transition from coming home From school and being around everybody at school. I don't know but Mind your business if you hear about me Making Jackson take an epsom salt bath whenever he comes back from will so that I can get all the demon out of him Shut up All right, you guys if you're ready to start
Starting point is 00:24:02 I don't know a keto diet in the new year or you want to make you want to live life a little easier with cooking Lindsay and I can tell you all about green chef and how much it's changed our lives especially with Trying to get kids to sports school all of the things green chef is the number one meal kit for eating well They have dinners that work for you not the other way around and we love that Especially with picky eaters. It's really hard to kind of accommodate everybody Green chef has something that is delicious convenient and that everyone in our families eat I can personally attest that now that I am using green chef
Starting point is 00:24:39 I am not eating out as much at all and I order enough So my I do for four so that I have enough serving so that I have extra once I make it in my refrigerator So that's my hack I'm growing up one of my favorite meals with stuffed peppers, but I'm not a good cook and I don't really know how to do that So I was really excited to see that they had Italian beef stuffed peppers on their menu this week they have 30 recipes weekly that you can choose from with the option to mix and match meals from different dietary preferences in the same box without having to change your plan
Starting point is 00:25:18 And I love their stuff so much Jackson also loves their meals and he's a very picky eater So if you guys want to try green chef, we have a code just for you go to green chef comm slash combo 60 and use code combo 60 to get 60 off plus free shipping Again, that's green chef comm slash combo 60 and use code Combo 60 to get 60 off plus free shipping Okay tick tock o'clock. Let's go um
Starting point is 00:25:50 So I have these in the document for like weeks now, but because we were covering the Idaho murders and things like that We just didn't get a chance to cover them so The first one I have that I saved was that men where men marry the woman in front of them um, it's all about the proxy proximity and the timing so they don't necessarily marry the woman they love Um, but they marry the person that they is in front of them when they're ready to settle down Oh interesting. Do you believe that's true? um
Starting point is 00:26:22 In some cases, I think in some cases, maybe not Uh, I think it depends on the personality of the man Okay, I think you've got some men that are out there that you know, they have these Aspirations to have a woman that you know, they have this checklist of things and Even if he's ready and they don't qualify to that checklist then He's gonna move on and then I think there's some men Actually, I know of two people in both of these scenarios one man, I know
Starting point is 00:26:55 um Very close connection to me Married someone that I don't believe in my opinion and I'd known this man for years I don't believe he would have ever married her Had it not been a timing thing and it was a Settle down thing um, another person that is not even Is also very close in relation to me, but is way older. So we're gonna just say like between 60s and 70s
Starting point is 00:27:27 and told me that It was you know, the time to get Married and to have children and so the person he was dating Met some of the requirements not all of them, but it was like a settle down and see okay Okay, so you've kind of seen both both sides of it. I I do feel like I know people who I know men who have only
Starting point is 00:27:52 Married the person that's in front of them. Um, or because their first option wasn't available um I've also seen men settled down with the woman who Took them back when they were done running around doing their shit and um Because the women that they were doing their shit with realized You're not ready to settle down or you're not going to settle down with me right now
Starting point is 00:28:17 Um, or I'm not dealing with your shit anymore. So they end up going back to the person who accepted them through all their bullshit um, and then I've met men who are just Wanting to be married or wanting to settle down. Um regardless of who it's with they just want to be Married have you experienced that at all? Of course. Yeah, like they want to marry pretty much every person that they've ever been with Just because they want to settle down yeah, haven't you ever heard of Men getting in relationships and it's like the girl before you talks about how
Starting point is 00:28:52 He wanted to marry her and then he gets with you and you're the person that he's loved more than anything in the world And like he wants to marry you It's a person I believe that fantasizes the idea of marriage And they try to apply it to the partner that they're with I don't know how I feel about that. Like is that trauma? Is that just like what is that? No, that's ignorance That's ignorance. Just plain and simple. Okay I mean, I don't know how to call it I'm not going to be out here one telling any person that I love them if I don't
Starting point is 00:29:30 Two, I'm not going to say to any person that I want to marry you or Anything like that. That's just like not even a logical thought process So why am I going to traumatize somebody by saying those things if I don't mean them? But I think a lot of people don't think of the impact that small things like I love you's and I want to marry you and I want to have kids with you and I see the rest of my life with you Saying those things to appease another person but not actually meaning it um
Starting point is 00:30:03 That's called a lack of foresight and that's alarming A lack of foresight. I love that and I think that you're 100 correct. Last thing on this I think that this also applies Is for women marrying someone that's in front of them. I don't think it's just men You know, what's really hard for me? Um I go back and forth with whether or not that's what I did Because on some hands, I think that you know him and I should have never gotten married And then on some hands, I think that at the time I was doing the best that I could
Starting point is 00:30:38 And then on other times I think like did I just marry him because he was in front of me? Um, I know in Pride Over Pity. I wrote that I was like the happiest. I had ever been Um, I do think that I was lying to myself a little bit at that time and I was kind of like over romanticizing it a little bit Um, I don't know if you definitely fantasize the idea of what you wanted and you applied it to that situation Yeah, um I don't know that I you know what I have a So, um, lately I've been just like and I don't know if it's the universe telling me something or not But I've been thinking about like friends that were truly truly truly my best friends for fucking life
Starting point is 00:31:20 And you know, we grow apart we move things like that and I have This former best friend who was like my soulmate like I would literally consider her one of my soulmates Um, love her to death like I'll always Have a special place in my heart for her, but I very much think that she is Um an opportunist in that way like she will marry someone like She would marry someone, you know, because they're right in front of her and they Might have money or something like that and not necessarily because she loves them and she thinks that they are
Starting point is 00:31:54 the person for her that is um pretty common I think and I think that you Uh, as you get older and you have friends that Are just starting that journey. It can be very off-putting to me when I see someone acting In that way that like the priorities And the things that they're prioritizing when it comes to selecting a partner because I have already been there done it Was able to carry a successful relationship for 12 years whether people want to say that I did or I didn't Yes, do we have problems? Yes. Do we have multiple separations? Yes, but still I successfully did it for 12 years
Starting point is 00:32:36 So when I've already been there done it worn the t-shirt and then took it off And I see someone prioritizing something in another person that In the long run, it's not going to matter and it's not going to provide happiness in the end It's very off-putting agreed agreed with I agree with you Tell me about this Taylor Swift tiktok. Yes, that's what I was about to say the second tiktok on tiktok o'clock Um, and I love that that's a segment for us now
Starting point is 00:33:07 um She I don't I'm not going to play it. We can post it for those who are interested in hearing it. Um, I'm I want to preface this by saying I am not a Taylor Swift fan. Um, I'm just not I don't care for her music. I don't care for her um That being said I did come across this tiktok that I thought really resonated and could apply to both of us um in the first half of the tiktok she talks about how
Starting point is 00:33:36 You know the media and the public can sometimes minimize her skill and her craft and they minimize it by you know making it about who she's dating or they say that she uses her music as a way to manipulate or um What is the word I'm looking for she? essentially Her craft and skill don't really matter because it's all about who she's dating or you know She's using those songs to you know manipulate somebody or um
Starting point is 00:34:05 And I I really have a problem with that and I do resonate with that a lot and I think that maybe you you might too Um, and I wrote in here on the dock. I was typing and my uh fucking spacebar doesn't work on my keyboard And it's just a mess and you were in the lobby So I didn't get my full thoughts across but in here I was saying like You know, I'm on a show for being a teen mom and my relationship My relationships have been a fucking disaster but Everything that I've done that is actually worth something
Starting point is 00:34:31 Is minimized and brushed off because of other shit and I can't stand that because you know people that I've never dated I've never fucked I've never been intimate with have been in literal articles next to me You know where we take a picture together and all of a sudden I've you know, I fucked them or you know I could I be dating them or you know Um, could they be the father of one of my children and it's like that's not It's really sad. And so obviously she has that on like a way bigger scale than we do But I really resonated with what she was saying Resignated I was really resonated
Starting point is 00:35:02 um With what she was saying and so um if you want to play it you can I don't know if you got a chance to watch it or not Okay, we will post the tiktok. However, I very much Relate to this in many ways because I think that And I've talked about this before Instagram and social media
Starting point is 00:35:26 With public figures whether they're you know In the entertainment industry In whatever capacity I think that they have Romanticized these relationships the good parts and then And definitely romanticize the fallout, you know, and that's What everybody wants to know about they want to know all the dirty laundry And I relate to taylor swift because I think she's a lyrical genius
Starting point is 00:35:55 I think that she can burn somebody So deep and cut them so deep Uh, john mayer I believe was one of them and one of her songs um And I just truly do aspire to Be a taylor swift in my own way Um, I love her I definitely agree with that as much as i'm not a super fan. I definitely
Starting point is 00:36:23 Yeah, exactly. I love her. I love her music love story and back to december Two of my favorites read Just I I really do love taylor swift Um But I will say that I think that a lot of times women that Are in the media and the press writes about them They want to write about the downfall not about the good stuff
Starting point is 00:36:50 and You know, I've been told also that my podcast podcasts have become my verbal burn book and And here's my thoughts on that if you don't want to be burned. Don't burn me Well, if you just heard creepy in the background, he had a lot to say about that. Um, I I agree with you. I think, um It's sad. I feel like that
Starting point is 00:37:15 The public and the media pick and choose who they are Who they really want to celebrate their accomplishments and they don't They don't want the drama, right? Like certain people that have like this picture perfect Um life and relationship and it's okay if they have relationship troubles and they stand behind them and they celebrate all of their You know milestones and you know, all these things but then for other people They only write about the negatives. So why for people, you know, like me or like taylor swift, um, or you for example Why why are we getting all the the drama articles? Why are we getting because then it only looks like that's all we have. Um, well because I don't know about you, but there's a
Starting point is 00:37:58 difference in the level of transparency with people So I think the people out here who are being put on this pedestal. It's because there is a lack of truthfulness that they are displaying that they're only displaying the highlight reel and when you have someone who's coming from a show like teen mom and essentially the good the bad the ugly and even the uglier is all displayed on that platform and You've kind of been taught like scarlet letter With that on your back now, that's just become a part of who you are and then you have multiple podcasts that you share different aspects of your life on on a weekly basis and
Starting point is 00:38:43 I know that you share the same opinion as me where I might not talk about something Immediately when it happens because I need to take time to process whatever it is That's going on before I give my thoughts on it because frankly, I might not know what my thoughts are immediately I'm still transparent and sharing My life with everyone else and I think that the people that are not getting written about in that way It's because there is a lack of transparency. Right. Okay. That makes sense I mean, I'm just thinking out of all the reality stars that we we've all that we've been on reality tv you and I and I feel like we have had some successes. We we've had some projects that we work on including our podcasts
Starting point is 00:39:27 um, it's almost like We yes, we have created a very successful platform to engage But I don't think that the true success of our podcast has ever truly been talked about Um, it's also never really talked about in the media or anything that we have degrees like there I don't know a lot of reality people that have degrees I would love I would love to have be featured in articles like that that have You know, we're listed with others other reality people who have degrees who have successful businesses who have You know what I mean? Like we may not be on tv anymore, but we're still doing big things
Starting point is 00:40:03 Why are articles only being written about our? Failed relationships. Well that gets into another slippery slope that We could honestly carry this into next week, which probably should but The common question that I get asked So like what do you do for a job? Oh, I hate that. I hate being asked that. I hate talking about what I do for a living like well quite frankly I'm sitting here fucking entertaining you so

Starting point is 00:42:38 I watched tv this weekend My entire weekend was consumed with all of the updates on the Idaho murder case Which is just so much. There's so many details So much being said there was two specials. I watched both of them the 2020 special and then there was a special on dateline I wanted to ask you this. Are you more of a fan of 2020 or dateline? Oh Yikes This is tough because I love dateline so much, but I also love 2020. Uh, I'm going dateline and
Starting point is 00:43:19 The reason why you want go ahead I feel like It's more crimey than crimey or Yeah, I was gonna say it's more dramatic. It's like a more of a dramatic um What is the word like spin like there's a more dramatized spin
Starting point is 00:43:37 In fact, yes Um, then 2020 and I much preferred if you guys have not watched the 2020 or dateline special on the Idaho 4 I would highly recommend Dateline however, I've had a couple of girlfriends posting that they love the 2020 so I just didn't there was not any information In the 2020 special that I didn't already know there were some things in the dateline special that I didn't know Um, yeah, I didn't see them, but I would I would guess that that's accurate I'm gonna pick up where I left off. Um
Starting point is 00:44:16 The search warrant findings of cobriggers apartment in poleman, washington are going to be sealed until march 1st 2023 According to court documents releasing the search warrant would create serious and imminent threats to law enforcement and could prematurely in the investigation Which would cause a threat to public safety? Um, in my opinion, I believe that this would be pretty standard procedure in a high-profile case like this. Um Potentially if details were leaked it could lead to a mistrial um Potentially if they found something that indicated that cobrigger was involved in other crimes um
Starting point is 00:44:55 And also there is the potential of what if they found something that indicated that someone else was involved? um The estimation show the investigation will be concluded within two months. That does not include the trial um I found some posts and these were allegedly posts made by brian cobrigger dating back to 2010 and 2011 and it gives you a glimpse kind of into his behaviors and state of mind even 10 years ago um, I'm going to post these for you guys for you to be able to read them. Um, but
Starting point is 00:45:35 one of them Says I always feel as if i'm not there completely Depersonalized mentally I experience fog lack of comprehension at some times feel like my life is a movie depersonalization depression no interest in activity constant thought of suicide crazy thoughts delusions Anxiety poor self-image poor social skills no emotion. I feel like nothing has a point to it when I get home I am mean to my family this started when vs did I feel no emotion and along with depersonalization. I can say and do whatever I want with little remorse. Everyone hates me
Starting point is 00:46:12 I'm pretty much an asshole so all of them essentially are Like that and then and one of them he talks about his brain chemistry and How he feels disconnected from reality and like he lives in his own personal reality and It seems of his seems as if his brain chemistry was altered from this So We can all
Starting point is 00:46:44 Attempt to try to make sense of this stuff try to understand it, but simply it's just not logical to me It seems like if he was trying to rationalize things that were going on in his brain um, we had discussed his weird tendency with needing Clean pots and pans that had never touched me before um
Starting point is 00:47:07 I personally believe that him becoming vegan which nothing is wrong with being vegan, but it was just a very odd thing to me from the beginning Was to rid himself of the toxins that he thought could have been causing the disconnect in his brain chemistry The vegan lifestyle was taken so far to an ocd level um And I do think that he believed that if he went through these great lengths that it would keep him sane Can we touch back on? These posts that he made I'm following along on the dock. I have my iPad up
Starting point is 00:47:43 But where were these posts made because it doesn't say Like where were they allegedly made? so I don't know where the original ones came from but the true crime page that I got this from is Highly sourced so I can go back and ask where they came from But I do think that someone uncovered these Through some type of like reddit something which was also
Starting point is 00:48:12 where That study remember we talked about Yeah, that was also uncovered through reddit as well I didn't know if it was like a tumblr situation because I feel like tumblr was really big During that time and you know a lot of people put a lot of stuff on tumblr. I forgot about tumblr. I also Yeah, I also want to note the pictures that are on here of are they both him that you that are on here the one That's like him and I don't know if you remember me talking about how someone had reached out to me and
Starting point is 00:48:46 It was someone that went to high school with him and said that the only thing that she remembers About him at all was that he had a dramatic weight loss journey Well, that's what I was just about to comment on and not that I should ever comment on someone's weight But I want to note that there is a dramatic Difference between the photos and they do look like school photos One looks like maybe a senior picture and one looks like something prior to being a senior maybe another high school photo These photos do not to me look like the person that we see in the media today as far as
Starting point is 00:49:24 I feel like the the photos that we're seeing today he looks Not deranged, but he definitely looks a little there's like a sinister look to him in my opinion Um, whereas in these school photos. I don't see that I see I almost feel like the one where he's a little heavier set. He looks happier But the one where he's a it looks like he's a senior Um, he he definitely looks handsome. I feel like it's sad that you know, this is who he is now, but he looks You would think he would be happier there, but it almost looks like there's nothing there There's nothing behind his eyes to me
Starting point is 00:50:01 I was just about to say the the photos to me look like there's not a whole lot going on behind his eyes and just kind of like a blank Just not a lot there I'm sad because he looks great in a senior photo like that. You know what I mean? Like that's sad Well, I think that that really When we say he looks great in his senior photo I meant as far as like if he was happy with his weight loss, you know what I mean that to me is just Speaks to the fact that you never know what's going on behind Closed doors or you never know what's mentally going on with someone like they could be presenting in one totally different way than what
Starting point is 00:50:40 Actually is the reality. I just wanted to say though that And again, these posts were allegedly, but I believe them to be valid I want to know if there were any indications Within his family that he had these types of issues because on the first one he talks about how he was mean to his family What What type of relationship did they have with him? Was it very surface? Was he anger like angry towards them? Was he hostile? Was he simply just outright mean? Did he do
Starting point is 00:51:17 Weird things at home like I'm sure more Will come out everything about what was written just sounds completely insane to me You and I had talked about the insanity defense and I want you to tell everyone about what you wrote your senior paper on Okay. Well, first let me just say I'm curious to know also if his parents were very dysfunctional Or if they were like a pretty happy family because I feel like that could Depending on what he saw in his parents marriage could also You know trauma can truly affect the way that people I'm not that I'm blaming any dysfunction on what he did I'm just saying I would be curious. Um, but I
Starting point is 00:51:57 If you're new here, I have always wanted to be a lawyer. Um, and so I wrote my graduation research paper on the insanity plea and um, I got a 98 on it to this day. I wish that I could find it I wish I saved it because it's probably one of my most favorite. We got to write whatever we wanted. Um on whatever topic and so I did write it on the insanity plea and um I texted Lindsay that I'm like, wait, so why can't he, you know, use the insanity plea because I wrote my paper on that I can give you some facts if you need them No, okay. I'll like literally was playing lawyer and I was like, well
Starting point is 00:52:35 simply Insanity would not be plausible um a plausible defense in The state of Idaho because Idaho is a state without a formal insanity defense. So It's it's actually very very difficult to plea, you know, use the insanity plea because It's so hard to prove and you know when you get the professionals involved like even psychiatrist and psychologist you could have
Starting point is 00:53:04 The prosecution could have a psychiatrist or psychologist and so can the defense and they could say two different things Well, if they all went to school to be psychologists and psychiatrists, why are they? Why are they reporting back with different opinions and different? Um beliefs and different, you know what I mean? So that's why it is really difficult and I I almost feel like it shouldn't always, you know be available. Um, Especially in this case Well, I think that it's a loophole In a lot of ways because you go out here and commit these heinous crimes
Starting point is 00:53:35 the natural defense Or any defense lawyer is going to try to use that and put that kind of like in their bag of tricks Well, you did that because you're insane like if that was allowed and easy to obtain then I think that We would have a lot more shit that went on um Something that really ticks me off is the next thing I'm about to tell you guys about and it's the neighbor's ring footage. So We all saw audio that had been circulating and that audio is fake and I just think that it is so sick to know
Starting point is 00:54:12 That this is gone on and somebody would release fake audio of ring footage. Um The audio that had been circulating actually came from someone else's ring on October 28th, 2022 and was completely unrelated Related also a youtuber made fake screams along with this audio that was not from that night as well What why? because people I Views and they want likes or they want to
Starting point is 00:54:42 Insert themselves into like should they not be? Charged for that because I feel like that's interfering with the investigation Well, we just charged them on coffee combos podcast with interfering with interfering with an investigation But when I tell you citizens arrest We have citizens arrested them. We don't even know who they are. Um As far as the motive, I think that is the most commonly Asked thing that I've seen all over social media and yes I think because it has been so publicized that we all just feel desperate for answers. Um
Starting point is 00:55:17 The state doesn't even need to prove a motive though to get the conviction so co-burger will have to be brought to trial within six months per Idaho state law Unless they could substantiate reason for the delay um and I just feel like it's going to be a long Six months because I personally feel like it's not going to go away and it won't go into the shadows
Starting point is 00:55:44 I think we'll just keep hearing more and more things and at this point after this episode I think the things that we're going to be hearing is going to be speculation because we know that um They're going to be preparing for trial. So We won't be getting a ton of information from law enforcement um, do you know six months from what date because
Starting point is 00:56:08 I need to be able to follow up on this and is it six months from today Is it six months from a couple weeks ago? Like I need to know how soon the six months will be here Well, I will let you know that in just a few minutes as I continue my coverage So welcome to coffee combos true crime coverage kyle lowery Coffee convo's podcast is brought to you by progressive insurance. Starting point is 00:58:55 Using promo code coffee combos um The 911 call that we all have been wondering about um rumors are that it could be released this week um, and I do think that if they release the 911 call I hate I hate when stuff like this is released the media only because My family has experienced a 911 call released due to
Starting point is 00:59:24 uh suicide an attempted suicide and I just think that it's just a not something that should be Given to the public general public however when this is playing out as publicly as it has played out I think that we all just want to hear everything. I think it would give us a much better picture of what happened that night our morning 911 calls our public record
Starting point is 00:59:52 um, and state law determines what information of that 911 call will be released and when so in my opinion, um Once we find out exactly what was reported We're gonna Start being able to put pieces of the puzzle better together um
Starting point is 01:00:14 I do see co-worker potentially taking a plea deal um if one's offered so This would mean that he would plead guilty in exchange for life in prison if he takes it to trial um and takes his chances And the evidence is strong, which I personally believe it is There's a huge possibility. He will get the death penalty. Um, it's possible that the da might not want to offer a deal at all And I could also see that happening
Starting point is 01:00:42 I think with the media coverage on this and the way that other cases have played out with media coverage I would be shocked if They offered him a plea deal I think that this is all going to come full circle and there's not going to be a plea deal necessary I think and Because whether he admits guilt or not, he's going he's staying in prison I agree with what you're saying, but also we have to consider that it costs a lot of money to go to trial So if they could potentially get a plea
Starting point is 01:01:14 um Would probably piss a lot of people off However, you have to look at the the money and the state government. So Um, the attorney that represented him for that brief period of time. Um, I believe it was his extradition attorney When he was in Pennsylvania Said after reading the affidavit of probable cause he said his former clients defense team might be able to poke holes in the upcoming trial So if you have transferred dna on the sheath transfer dna can stay on an item for up to at least a year
Starting point is 01:01:47 If no one else touch if no one else touches it or if it's unblemished or something like that Lavar explained so I mean that doesn't place him at the scene Uh on the day of the crime He also said that the cell phone pings aren't enough to catch a potential killer It's certainly suspicious that he turns his cell phone off But cell phone tower pings are unreliable at best if it pings off a tower you take you are talking about the individual It's within 20 mile radius of that tower as far as I know as a crow flies Moscow and Pullman are eight miles apart So he could have left his phone theoretically back at his apartment the entire time with it off and they wouldn't have ever had him
Starting point is 01:02:26 But the cell phone stuff is circumstantial. No, I have no idea. I don't know Um, okay, I am a little bit worried based off of the evidence and it makes me worry knowing Koberger's knowledge You know, I don't believe he would have ever left the knife sheath there That's just like not logical to me but at the same time if he is sinister and He knows about, you know, DNA and he knows about like what can get him in trouble and what can't and what
Starting point is 01:03:04 You know, they can try them on and if it's gonna stand And we don't know how smart this guy is. Uh, all we know is Experts say that they believe that he thinks he's way smarter than what he actually is And so far that's kind of that's kind of the vibe I get too. Um, he thinks he's a lot smarter than he actually is. Um Because I mean some of these things that the knife sheath, um, the bloody footprint or not the bloody footprint the regular one footprint Um The cell phone like turning the cell phone off I feel like it was almost dumb because why not just leave it on and leave it at home
Starting point is 01:03:45 Very true. I mean, that's there's just so many things That I feel like are almost like I don't for a lack of better terms like rookie mistakes Like do you not watch fucking CSI? Do you not watch criminal minds? Like I don't you think you know it He he is the classic case of like a know it all So at least that's what it comes off as to me I'm gonna run through the next little segment of things like rather quickly Okay, regarding the sheath he Let's say he left it behind by accident, right? He had six weeks to come up with an explanation as to how and why he did that
Starting point is 01:04:20 Um, I keep personally asking myself who carries a sheath to a crime scene. Anyway, I just think that that's kind of reckless Um, you don't know what's gonna happen could you know just dumb? Why would any innocent person wear surgical gloves and conceal his trash? In the neighbor's trash if he in fact was innocent Again, like these are all I feel like to us no fucking brainers like if you're actively planning a murder to this extent like you didn't think about these little things like you didn't What the fuck? There was only one shoe print found which I'm worried about this so
Starting point is 01:04:59 It could not have been very visible because they didn't find it until the second time around so Do we think that someone cleaned up? Um, this was blood tested and discovered with amido black. Amido black is useful for enhancing latent print It's contaminated with blood, but it will not successfully develop a normal Prespiration based paint the affidavit suggests that he didn't only Um murder four people in 15 to 16 minutes, but he also cleaned up the floors inside the house Like how would he have had like how would that have been logical for him to be able to clean up the floors? How was there only one?
Starting point is 01:05:42 shoe print The amount of blood that was most likely at the scene from stab wounds and not And then and then someone cleaned up That's what makes me I don't want to listen I I don't want to I really don't want to say this, but I'm going to say it already know what this is What makes me think that one or both of the roommates that were surviving helped clean up and didn't call 911 until eight hours later because
Starting point is 01:06:11 I have gotten like a little cut from shaving my legs and I've trailed blood through my house. You know what I mean? So something like that. I feel like there's no fucking way that you cleaned up inside without anyone else like for eight hours and nobody Heard you saw you nothing cleaning up Also, it's not helpful that his ex-tradition attorney is already planting reasonable doubt He says that he reviewed a previous encounter of the police at the home of the victims And the person who answered the door was wearing vans. That is a perfect example of planting reasonable doubt um
Starting point is 01:06:54 Wait, wait, what do you mean? So I'm reading that I'm following along. Um, but I'm not understanding so Okay, hold on He reviewed says he reviewed an encounter of the police at the home of the victims And the person who answered the door was wearing vans And the vans is the footprint that was found outside No, the vans is the footprint that was found in the house that they claim was co burger Got it. Okay. Got it. Got it. Got it. I mean everyone in their mother wears vans. So I don't know about that Back to the phone thing
Starting point is 01:07:27 If co burger understood how police could track his data even like to turn the phone off during the crime Like you said, why wouldn't he have just left it at home? So I think that that speaks to what you're saying that Maybe he has in his mind made himself believe that he could do these heinous things And get away with it because he's so smart right Police were states. Um, and I don't know what police said this but he said that he seemed really nervous And he was narrating to himself everything that was happening At one point, um, he was saying to himself, I'm fine. It's okay. It was almost like he was reassuring himself
Starting point is 01:08:10 That the whole thing wasn't awful and that was during his transport during the extradition so to me if You're saying all that stuff to yourself. I don't know because I've never been in that situation So if I was arrested for something like maybe I would do that even just like out of being scared So I don't want to read too much into that but at the same time I am I'm I'm reading into it because
Starting point is 01:08:35 I'm not going to say that unless I'm innocent. So maybe Well, I don't want to Does he have more than one personality? Well, we're thinking so. Um Obviously that's like a common thought I mean kill obviously He is an alleged murderer
Starting point is 01:08:54 and also a teaching assistant Trying to obtain his phd. So like there is some different personalities that are for sure going on um at the hearing on january 12th attorneys Discussed how they plan to move forward co-burger Could potentially have his chance to wave his rights to a speedy trial Which would allow him more time to enter a plea for the charges against him and to return to court for a preliminary hearing Essentially that would give the defense team time to investigate the prosecution's case and build their defense strategy In the event that he chose not to wave his rights to the speedy trial
Starting point is 01:09:30 He would hypothetically return to court for his plenty preliminary hearing by january 19th by law He must have a preliminary hearing within 14 days of his initial court appearance, which um was january the 5th so Most of us want to know what the state of idaho will have to prove at trial When introducing dna evidence the state has two distinct burdens who the dna likely belongs to and how it got to be wherever it was found so In other words the dna on the button of the sheath alone does not show that co-burger committed these crimes
Starting point is 01:10:05 It doesn't show that he was even in the house and it doesn't show that he was ever in the same room as the sheath um Something else that was very alarming and very telling is that a neighbor of co-burger and pullman washington Said that he spoke to him days after the murders occurred the neighbor asked not to be identified But he said co-burger brought it up in conversation And asked if he heard about the murders and he said i did And then he said yeah, it seems like they have no leads. It seems like it was a crime of passion It's weird that he would randomly bring it up. Um
Starting point is 01:10:38 again weird But I mean unfortunately, I I think this is hearsay. So I don't think that will be able to be used or if it does I don't think it'll hold any weight but Yeah, no, shit. It sounds like a crime of fucking passion because typically people don't stab someone um or murder someone to that degree unless they had A very personal like vendetta against someone that's like proven no shit Sherlock, but um
Starting point is 01:11:06 I agree. I 100 it is weird that he just like randomly brought it up to somebody so But then again, is that really that weird because I feel like If my neighbor and I were just shooting this shit. I might bring it up Is it that weird? Yeah, but now that you've been accused of this crime and there's you know evidence that's against you After the fact hearing this neighbor saying this it's suspect for sure um
Starting point is 01:11:38 Does it hold any weight? Probably not like you said hearsay, but still it's suspect co-worker did wave his right to a speedy preliminary hearing Again, no bail the preliminary hearing is set for June 26th at 9 a.m. So that answers your question kill um I watched the live video He did have cuts on his face Uh
Starting point is 01:12:02 It was said that it was likely from bad jailraisers defense asked for four to five days for the hearing and In my opinion, they're likely going to treat this as a mock trial They will strategize their case from now until June There won't be a jury at that hearing and the defense will present their case to the judge while trying to prove that there isn't enough evidence to stand trial Defense has filed for discovery, which means they simply want everything that the prosecution has There was a co-defendant referenced in the filing for discovery The verbiage could just be standard for filing. However, it makes me wonder because co-burger
Starting point is 01:12:40 Asking if anyone else was arrested along with him saying that he was eager to be exonerated. So um The probable cause affidavit does not identify a co-defendant and authorities have not suggested that co-burger May have had an accomplice when he was allegedly committing the murders so I'm not sure I think from day one and we would have to go back to the recordings, but I'm pretty sure that I said How does someone do all of this that fast in that short a period of time and not have someone else involved
Starting point is 01:13:14 I still feel like there could possibly be someone involved. I don't I don't know why I feel that way, but I do so my theory on it Was that if there was a co-defendant the same way they misled in some ways co-burger so that he didn't You know pick up on the fact that he was being investigated. Could they be potentially doing this to A co-defendant. I've seen multiple different things that are simply just True speculation. So I don't want to Speak too much on those things because I don't know if they're true
Starting point is 01:13:49 But heard a couple of things about co-burger doing drugs in a garage with someone and then they used the knife to cut the drugs or something and then That person I will say knife I do watch and again. I shouldn't say this, but I'm going to I watch a lot of intervention and the the way that he looks in his senior picture versus the pictures that we see now He does look like he could have potentially been doing drugs Just like I just don't know how it kind of deteriorates your body a little bit. You lose a lot of weight You kind of look hollow
Starting point is 01:14:27 Um, you know a lot like your eyes kind of hollow out. I do think that I mean There's a significant weight loss in the two pictures that we have in this document, but there's also a lot of changes from that senior picture To what we see now and I could think that that Um, there could be I mean, I'm about to google right now, but um, I think that drugs do a wild They take a wild toll on your body and I do think that there is a chance that maybe he did dabble in some drugs Well, we do know that it has been said His drug of choice was heroin and then when he got clean from that allegedly
Starting point is 01:15:08 He Started doing cocaine. Oh, okay. Well, I don't know. I've never done either of those drugs. So I'm not super sure about Those I was I just thought like something that maybe would make him hallucinate or you know Crystal meth, maybe I don't fucking know But when we hear more either way I'll let you guys know, um, I'm not gonna do a full recap on anything else because we aren't gonna really hear anything else until that hearing Takes place. So that'll probably be the next time that you guys hear about it And I plan to do some coverage on
Starting point is 01:15:45 Instagram stories and I'll probably just do it on coffee combos Instagram stories honestly But do you want to take some time to do a foul play? Okay? foul play onions blood super bowl My ex-husband was chopping green onions for omelets and I asked him a question He turned to me. He turned to face me an answer but kept chopping. He chopped the tip of his thumb off and his finger was Spurting blood. I ran to the linen closet to grab a towel and as I was approaching the kitchen I saw my six foot husband at the time stiffen like a board and fall straight to the floor
Starting point is 01:16:19 To his right on the way down He knocked the cutting board off the counter and the large knife landed an inch from his head He came around quickly, but was still bleeding profusely. So I wanted to get him to the ER We lived in Delaware at the time and it was it had just snowed two feet and I made him drive to the ER Wait, why? But before we left I grabbed the tip of his thumb to see if they could glue it back on and put it in a sandwich bag We got to the ER and it was empty because the eagles were playing in the super bowl that night They cleaned his thumb bandaged it through the tip in the biohazard bin and sent us on our way
Starting point is 01:16:55 He has had a divot on his left thumb ever since keep up the great work ladies I love hearing all the growth over the years. What the fuck wait time out. Why did she make him drive? First of all because it had snowed but still First of all this reminds me of a time one time that will was making it Remembered like those water tables when they became like super popular for kids like for kids. Yeah yeah, so will was crafting one of these water tables outside our house and I was sitting inside doing arts and crafts too at my kitchen table and looked out the window and all of a sudden
Starting point is 01:17:33 Just blood went all over the window and I was like the fuck is happening out there like literally not okay But he's so haphazard that he just like gets hurt all the time like no matter what he's doing and it would just It's truly pissed me off because I'm like I told him about that knife so many times and told him it's literally gonna cut someone's hand off like it's It's gonna kill somebody that knife is like very dangerous Please don't use it uses it anyways Blood goes everywhere. I want to say that when you cut like Your fingers even when I cut like my leg like my knees or something whenever I'm shaving it makes a lot of blood
Starting point is 01:18:12 so I can't imagine How much blood would be if you like cut the tip of your thumb off? Oh, you can't because Elisha did and I can send you a picture of it right now Okay, well, I also has a divot. He did this two weeks ago and it's disgusting Oh, well, it pissed me off and I told will I was like you need to go to the urgent care But like I'm specifically not getting jackson up to take you to urgent care I love that you call it the urgent care. There's got to be other wives girlfriends x wives on here that Has truly dealt with an idiot that gets hurt all the time like no matter what they're doing
Starting point is 01:18:53 And it just pisses you off to no end because it's like, you know that you are susceptible to Being in harm's way. So like why not be more cautious? I Listen, when you see this picture, I want you to react to it really quick because you're gonna throw up and I'm gonna I want you to react. This is Elisha's. Okay. It's in the coffee combos podcast group so that kristin can see it too Kale How did that happen?
Starting point is 01:19:23 I wish I knew that's how he came home from work. Did he not think to like go anywhere before he came home? Do you see his other finger duct taped and taped with a paper towel behind it? Yeah Yeah, what's that? Yeah, that's why he cut his other finger too. Okay disgusting. Well, I'm glad that that's not his fingering finger um Okay, do the other foul play about the wet dream. Okay Please keep me anonymous. So I had a wet dream not the good kind I literally dreamt that I was peeing in a toilet and ended up peeing in the bed That's happened to a lot of people actually it happened around 5 30 a.m
Starting point is 01:19:59 My husband usually jacuzzi's when he wakes up before work at 5 a.m So I assumed he was in the jacuzzi So I quickly ripped off my pajamas gathered the sheets and went to the laundry room hoping to get away with this without him knowing To get to the laundry room. I have to walk past my husband's office as he works from home The lights in his office were off, but I noticed something lit up. So I peeked in and caught him jacking off to the barn He didn't expect me to be awake and I didn't expect to have him Sorry, he didn't expect me to be awake and I didn't expect to have to spill the beans about wetting our bed It makes me so uncomfortable the times I've walked in on him jacking off
Starting point is 01:20:36 So needless to say due to my discomfort and embarrassment. I avoided him all day and we barely spoke Okay I have a couple of thoughts on this. Um, first of all, we need to normalize Not giving a fuck what our husbands think like the one that I don't have but like whatever Our partner we need to normalize that because guess what accidents happen and piss happens and shit happens So first of all, I smelled my armpit my own armpit in front of Elijah yesterday to make sure I didn't stink So and he was like he looked at me and he's did you just smell your armpit? I said, yeah Um, if you can't get behind that, I don't know what to tell you. So yeah, normalize just like being a fucking human being
Starting point is 01:21:17 Yeah, that's number one number two So walking in on someone jacking off to porn is like the worst thing ever. It's I've had an experience with this before um First of all, just like why? When you're grown, um, like why is this happening? and also Why don't you just have sex with your wife?
Starting point is 01:21:40 That that's the bothersome thing to me that like People will choose porn over the live person that's like literally there that's probably willing to give it to you That's the troublesome part to me but also If you've ever walked in on someone jacking off to porn you like Never want to put yourself in a situation for that to happen again So you find yourself setting up boundaries for yourself to try to prevent ever seeing that again I've never walked in on someone jerking off. Um
Starting point is 01:22:15 at all ever Um I don't know what I would do if my if I walked into my partner doing I think I would I think Even though you and I see we have different opinions on porn and things like that I also just don't know if I would be comfortable Like it's one thing if I'm out of town or you know something like that But if I am available and
Starting point is 01:22:41 Probably willing to have sex and wanting to be intimate too. And then you're doing it at home while I'm there That would bother me. I think Oh, that's like very bothersome to me. We know how I feel about porn anyway, but like to me that's just such a A next level of disrespect and think about pissing yourself Cleaning up the sheets because you don't want him to know about your piss and then you walk in on him jerking his meat to some rando But the fact that she says, um, I've walked in on him jacking off like a couple times
Starting point is 01:23:17 Yeah, and it's not like this is the first time and you're embarrassed about peeing the bed It's like he you've already walked in on him jerking off several times and you're worried about him seeing you wet the bed like no I'm I'm not okay.
