Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift-giving and receiving receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say? Thank you This is coffee convos with Kale Lowry and Lindsay Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels Kale That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you a spirited discussion about motherhood friendship Family and life in the public eye. I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kale and Lindsay Hey everyone Oh, are we starting I Didn't want us to continue the conversation and it was like a one content, you know what I mean Yeah, wow Kale. You brought the energy. I was not I I wasn't actually I
Starting point is 00:00:43 Wasn't trying to because I just don't I don't feel like being here today, but here I am Well, I appreciate you Gracing me and everybody in the kitty gang with your presence. I appreciate you gracing me with your presence I um, I do have a dog in the office with me and So if y'all hear him breathing, we were just outside and it's so ungodly hot outside So if you hear him breathing at any point, he's fine. I Mean if you hear heavy breathing on my end, it's probably because I walked up a flight of steps. Oh So actually I literally do whatever I can to not go upstairs like ever
Starting point is 00:01:24 When I when my kids are like mom, can can you come upstairs? I'm like literally no like I I Put my bedroom on the first floor for a reason so I'm gonna need you to figure it out it's so funny to me because For however long even friends now You've always had houses with steps and I would make fun of you because you'd be like, oh, I forgot it downstairs I'm not going downstairs, and I'm like you would literally ask me for stuff And I'd be like when I whenever I go downstairs like I'll get you whatever and Kristen would be so annoyed She'd be like just fucking go get it
Starting point is 00:01:57 But now that she has a home with stairs. She fully understands. I fully understand. It's like once I'm up I'm up and once I'm down. I'm down and please don't ask me to go in between levels because No Well, and so Lincoln started Lincoln is my early riser. He when I say he is Javi's mini like through and through Lincoln will fall asleep at the drop of the hat and also wake up at the drop of the hat and also just He wakes up every day at 6 a.m. Without an alarm So whenever the baby wakes up He just goes and gets creed on because like creed and Lincoln's relationship is so it's seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen
Starting point is 00:02:41 So Lincoln brings creed to me. I don't even have to get up to get Oh, see so I'm like, okay. Can you just make sure cuz I'll Natalie or me will set out his outfit for the next day on the like on the floor in his room So like we whatever so if Lincoln brings him down, he'll bring the clothes down, too So I'm and nobody ever asked him to do this. He just started doing it. I was like Now if you don't do it, I'm gonna have to go up the stairs and it's like well, what the fuck am I supposed to do? I just um, yeah, I fully understand now and Cory makes fun of me, but he does the same thing I'll be like, hey, babe came to me a favor and he's like if you're gonna ask me to go upstairs
Starting point is 00:03:20 The answer is no or if we're upstairs I'll be like if you're gonna ask me to go downstairs the answer is no and I'm like, all right, listen I understand. I understand. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine. I gotta get my steps in somehow, but Before we keep going. I just wanted to say Um, we are our thoughts are with Lindsay. We're hoping she will be back next week. We are not sure She did put out a statement on her Instagram story that may or may not be gone by the time the episode releases tomorrow but it was also read on Today's a new episode of the southern tea if you want to see that and we're just sending our well wishes
Starting point is 00:03:59 To Lindsay. Sorry for everyone. That's tired of hearing from me But hopefully she'll be back to rescue everybody soon. Um, I She texted us yesterday and I just I I hate that I don't know what she's going through because I I've never been through it And so I hate that I don't know what to say Yeah, I think the only thing that we you know can say is I'm sorry and we're here for you I think a lot of people just think you have to have word bomb it and be able to say stuff in every situation, but like There's so many situations that happen in life that no matter what we say. It's not going to fix it So it's just like that just one-liners. I feel like are good like they are good
Starting point is 00:04:42 Well, I just texted her and I told her I was thinking of her. I hope that I don't know. Yeah, it's a lot. I can't imagine but she will be back to the kitty gang soon and Kale, let's have a little mental health check. What's going on? Well, I am trying to get in with a new doctor for A med switch because I think Zoloft is not it for me I'm not saying that it won't work for you But I definitely want to just get on the med. I need like an energy situation not like a mellowing
Starting point is 00:05:22 situation And I think that Zoloft is more of like mellow you out versus I need something that's gonna Get me to want to get out of bed and do the things I need to do I actually feel okay today. I feel like pretty decent I didn't go into the office because they were supposed to be fixing the AC I don't know if they did or not, but it's so hot And so I just didn't want to take the risk of like driving over there and then it not being
Starting point is 00:05:54 Like fixed or whatever. So Um, but other than that, I mean I we're just taking it day by day. I I feel I feel okay. Um, this is the first week that the kids are all with their dads for the first week of summer. So Um, Lux and creed are with Chris and we do have 5050 this summer. And so I'm actually taking it better than I anticipated But I would be lying if I said that I
Starting point is 00:06:21 Didn't miss my kids. Like I definitely It's weird because when they would go to Chris's for The weekend, I was like Literally would get them they would go on Thursday or Friday and I would get them back Sunday morning at football And I didn't have Like even though it was two nights It felt like I didn't get anything done And so now it's like week on Monday
Starting point is 00:06:44 And so now it's like week on week off, but it's like, okay. Now I'm I've done everything I needed to do and now I want my kids back So it's so weird like motherhood is so fucking weird. Yeah, you're like, I love you so much. Please get away from me But please come back. Yeah, it's like Literally Um, I'm hoping that this summer. I hope it goes well. Um I think it's gonna be okay. I think we're gonna be fine and um I don't know. I'm ready to also just like get my meds
Starting point is 00:07:17 Corrected and then Be coming out on top and be the best mom I can be by, you know, the end of the summer Hopefully and you know into the next school year Um, somebody actually asked when I posted that I was covering for Lindsay this week About like asking what people wanted to hear about they said Does kail ever feel like a bad mom when or if she can't give her full self to her kids due to depression I feel like that is where I struggle the most. Um I would you guys know like I've talked about it so many times like I would just would never miss anything. Um
Starting point is 00:07:57 Always want to get up and go out the door with my kids and stuff I still do but it's a lot harder for me to get to make sure that I'm like I'm basically fighting Myself to get going and get out the door and get to all their stuff. I still go It's just a lot harder. Um And I think um I've been talking to my kids a lot about it more lately than ever because I just want them to understand that like I love them and um Just like luxing. I don't know. It's so hard. I can't describe it
Starting point is 00:08:28 But like just like not wanting to do simple things, you know, what I mean? And knowing that I have to do it and I don't want my kids to suffer because I'm suffering and I I have always maintained that Motherhood is what I was meant for and so now that I feel like I'm struggling there It feels like I don't have a purpose Right like you're taking it really hard. Yeah. Yeah So, um, That's why I just I really want to take these next couple weeks. I was I talked to my therapist yesterday and
Starting point is 00:08:59 She was like best case scenario. I'll start new meds in two weeks, but everyone's always booked out Um, and then but I don't think the zoloft is working for me Anyway, um, so I I think because I told chris and I called chris and crying yesterday. I'm like, I don't if this If this is how it feels to be on meds where I'm still like essentially fighting for my life like Fighting to do everyday shit and there I don't I I can't do this like I can't carry on like this So my therapist was like, you know best case scenario two to three weeks, you know, hopefully we'll be on some new meds by time I taper off. Luckily I'm only on a hundred milligrams of zoloft
Starting point is 00:09:38 So it wouldn't be too crazy to taper off of it like go back down to 50 and then come off and start something new Um, but I think my motherhood is where I struggle the most because especially because I don't Like for football on sunday, we were I was gone from 9 30 in the morning until 6 o'clock at night just for football alone But I didn't wear makeup and I'm not I'm not getting dressed like I'm just wearing literally Whatever I can find and that sucks. I don't like that feeling of like I'm not putting myself together and like Truly showing up a hundred percent. It's like I'm barely showing up And I think you're taking that
Starting point is 00:10:14 It just it's kind of like a it's like a it's like a circle, right? Like you feel this way because of what you're going through in your depression So then it's exacerbating it but because you're not doing the things that make you feel good typically Then you're upset about your appearance. You're upset about not showing up your full self in motherhood And then it's probably exacerbating the depression and it's probably feeding into each other It's so crazy yesterday. Um, actually about to unplug my computer. Hold on. Hold on you guys. Um yesterday I recorded um for my friend lemours podcast and
Starting point is 00:10:53 I did therapy and natalie stopped by for a little bit. I don't have any of my kids But she stopped by and I was like, I just have to take a nap like I have to take a nap which is crazy because The sleeping thing is very much a symptom of depression, but it's also a side effect of zoloft So I can't really tell if I'm needing to nap because of the zoloft or if I'm needing to nap because of the depression But either way, I'm like, I don't feel better when I wake up. And so I ended up Natalie left. I ended up sleeping for four hours. I woke up at like it was like almost six o'clock PM and I was like one this isn't fucking normal and two I'm like I woke up. I ate dinner and watched a show at like 7 30. I didn't even wait. No, was that the other day?
Starting point is 00:11:37 No, I'm mixing my days up. So yesterday wake up and then I'll like Elijah. Can I say his name now? I mean, I would at this point. Okay. It's now hot boyfriend. Who's name is Elijah? At this point everyone has figured it out. Anyway, um, so he came home and I was like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. And He I had to like I needed to make sure. Okay. So hold on. Let me backtrack because I'm starting to sound like just like gibberish I have now anxiety. So yes
Starting point is 00:12:10 I have anxiety about my parenting now, but I also have anxiety about Elijah because In previous relationships, I'm not going to specify who but I used to walk on eggshells and make sure I never did things to piss him off so Even though Elijah has never ever ever ever ever said anything to me about like the dishes in the sink or the house being a mess one, it's my fucking house and two I'm working during the day and then if I choose to take a nap when I'm done with my day and clean my house or whatever Like that should not be a problem But I've been checking his location on his way home to so I can make sure that everything is tidied
Starting point is 00:12:45 Everything is in the dishwasher everything, but he's never Said anything to me like he's never complained about it. We've never thought about it And so then I feel like my relationship is like I'm like worried about my relationship because of my depression Right. I mean you're doing the classic thing that kids do when mom and dad are about to be home like running around doing the five-minute clean Um, pretty sure that like we do this for company too. Like let's make it look like no one lives here Really fast really fucking fast Um, so that's super normal, but I get what you're saying and I I just don't know at what point is anxiety anxiety Or at what point does it edge into like paranoia
Starting point is 00:13:22 Well, so my therapist I told my therapist this and she was like has he ever said anything to you? And I was like no and she said well, you just have a talk with him. Let him know how you're feeling and then um, you know when he when you know that he's on his way home and there's dishes in the sink She said leave them there She said because part of it is my like PTSD from a prior relationship And part of it is you know like when I went to football all day and Elijah was home. I came home in the house was spotless and to me I felt like That was really sweet of him. Um, I felt like it was very much like dividing conquer
Starting point is 00:14:00 I'll take the kids to their sports and you got the house stuff And so we don't ever we don't ever argue about like the division of responsibilities and like household chores Um, and so when I told him last night, I was like I had anxiety when you were coming home and he was like What do you what do you mean? I said, well, would you? Would you care if there was dishes in the sink and he's like I'm pretty sure I have come home And there's been dishes in the sink and I'm like and does it bother you and he's like no like he just doesn't give a Shit and so I need part of it is like my own projection
Starting point is 00:14:31 Of what I guess what I've been through but also kind of like what I expect If I'm gone all day, I would want to come home to a clean house like he's at work all day He doesn't want to come home to a house full of dishes, you know Is this kind of like you're cleaning the counters situation and that we're not allowed to clean the counters anymore? okay Okay, yeah because a lot of important mail used to get thrown out during those excursions I still don't check. I still don't check the mail if it Yeah, no, I still don't check the mail. I am y'all and if there are any if there's anybody listening to this that has
Starting point is 00:15:04 I just don't know why but I do not open my mail. So like I feel like a lot of people are like that. I open every single thing that comes in unless I know that it's junk And it immediately goes in the trash No, I literally don't open anything like at all the stacks that I get to open The only reason why I sent you that bill the picture of the bill yesterday was because Elijah opened it Like I would not have opened that and I would not have I would been like, oh, it's fine Um, oh my god, but somehow they all get paid. So I'm like I think because most of your bills I have set up on e-billing. They're all supposed to go e-bill auto pay
Starting point is 00:15:43 But for some reason I don't know if it's like from the last time that your card was like shut for fraud or something It like kicked some of your bills off e-pay And they usually let you know like it'll usually be like, oh your auto pay has been disabled blah blah blah blah But I don't open my mail to know that But normally they send because I'm on e-billing they'll send Um, like the e notices, but for some reason your trash pickup decided That they were not going to send any notice at all and I was like, oh cool
Starting point is 00:16:17 Um, so yeah, no, I it's so interesting We were just talking yesterday about this the amount of people that I wrote in about adhd and how they think that you need To like not wait to go through the testing for it because no y'all I know I have adhd like I know I do I feel it in my bones like As far back as I can remember and I don't know if this is a this is a symptom or like Could be linked but like prior to ever being depressed like I know I developed depression sometime in my 20s Like I that's my belief But prior to that I've had a job since the day I turned 16 years old, but I've never kept a job
Starting point is 00:16:56 I've always left before or at the one year mark I have never been able to like sit still in a job expand my knowledge in that job Maybe move up in a company. I always leave before I don't know like I don't know what it is. I and and same for like schooling I can't tell you when I went to community college and then I went to My regular where I got my four-year degree I changed my major probably five or six times And your house thing you were saying how you move all the time
Starting point is 00:17:24 Someone brought up. Why do you move all the time? And I I think I have moved In my adult life. I mean I moved from Joe's house to my first apartment from my first apartment to the townhouse from the townhouse to the house that me and hobby bought And then the second house that me and hobby bought To Middletown back to the house that I hobby and I had bought And now to this one that's eight times Since I had Isaac Yeah
Starting point is 00:17:50 So I don't know if that's like ADHD or what it is, but like I'm not I can't just like and then I also have like I go through periods of time where I'm like obsessed with certain things Yeah, I fixated like you hyper fixate Hyper fixate. I also have like crazy ideas and I hyper fixate on those and then I'm two weeks later. I'm done bored Kristen knows that firsthand. Kristen's like well, if you're still talking about this in a month, we'll talk about it We're doing it. Yeah, we'll talk about it. But if it's if it's something that I'm like, okay, we have to do this right now Kristen's like
Starting point is 00:18:25 I'll get on it and then she won't and then I probably won't ever bring it up again. So Kristen understands Yeah, we we call it following the bouncing ball. We just you know gauge the interest level and uh We see what we're gonna do from there Okay, you guys no one likes waiting on a paycheck Especially when you have bills do and we just got done talking about this. I've been there I have also come up with all the excuses in the book to not work out until I got my peloton bike plus Which I love I put it in my room now because with my depression and everything else So it's like I need to be able to see it every single day when I wake up But peloton instructors are highly trained fitness pros who motivate you through every workout Whether you're a regular at the gym or someone who's new to getting back into working out

Starting point is 00:21:18 And peloton tread, which is my next purchase visit one peloton dot com to learn more So someone had messaged me like facebook messaged me And I don't want to say who because I like don't want to out them in case they don't want to like talk about their own stuff Um, so this person was like, I'm so sorry from all over the place. I apologize in advance But try and follow the bouncing ball with my brain So from what I've gathered from listening to the podcast is that kale is stubborn as hell Which same and might need some convincing to actually get tested for ADHD So she doesn't just have to keep to doesn't just keep having to try different depression meds to no avail
Starting point is 00:21:56 So for starters, I can send you a link to one of my favorite ADHD mom groups to see if she wants to join blah blah blah There's doctor lists in there. Um Since a lot of women struggle with both getting diagnosed and medicated for ADHD and they're they did find one in Delaware that has diagnosed somebody in said group um She said She brought up Laura Cleary who you had on baby mama's um
Starting point is 00:22:22 About her ADHD journey and how she made youtube videos about it And she she recommended you watch them because she went and got her brain mapped by a doctor named dr. Amen I think it's pronounced Okay, and she said I think I remember kale previously saying like a year ago or something that her therapist said She didn't think she had ADHD and that it was the CPTSD, but you can absolutely have both I have both as well and then treated for my ADHD and now currently doing emdr To which is awesome and totally recommend which dr. Drew recommended you get yes, he did he did recommend that to me Um, so she said anyways if her therapist doesn't want to help her start the ADHD testing process or refer her to someone who will
Starting point is 00:23:04 kale should totally try to do the brain mapping with dr. Amen He has places in california new york and even Atlanta. I know I don't know kale, but from what I've gathered She's business savvy, etc. Etc Um, she said there's like a huge ADHD community, especially for women. It's like He's almost sounds like it's like underground because we don't talk about it um, and it's sounds like it's very very hard for women to get diagnosed but, um, definitely recommended the brain mapping and just said, um From her experience if you're treating the symptom and not the problem the problem is not going to go away
Starting point is 00:23:43 so I feel like We should go figure out how to get your brain mapped well, so I know, um Some of the ADHD symptoms can also overlap with the symptoms of depression and that's what I don't know Maybe also CPTSD. Um Um, I think it has a lot of overlap, but I think from what I've learned is that Untreated ADHD and undiagnosed
Starting point is 00:24:10 Can actually show itself in depression and anxiety Okay, like it can come from that and then if you're only treating like Depression it could come out in a in a it won't it can fully like not go away You can't figure out why you keep trying different medications Your anxiety may heighten because it's going to find another way to show itself Right from what I mean, that definitely makes sense So I just want to know how many people like how many of our coffee commas listeners are women and have ADHD is I'm curious I'm also curious and I also would love to know
Starting point is 00:24:45 Well, we've that dr. Amin is in New York, right? Yep, New York, California and Atlanta. Well, I'm down to um To go get your brain mapped. Yeah Like 100 percent down. No, I think it would be good and I think um Because I feel like you'll learn a lot of stuff Well, I'm down to do it and um, I'll keep you guys posted um, I'm just like ready to Get my mental health in order and I just I just want to go back to feeling okay because I literally cannot
Starting point is 00:25:19 Live like this I that's a lot of people feel like that like a lot of people that suffer from Depression anxiety really any mental illness They and have struggles with their mental health a lot of them say like it's It's exhausting like just living right, it's just it's tired you get tired of fighting
Starting point is 00:25:42 To just do regular basic everyday tasks and then the other thing it's like I get so frustrated because People think oh, we'll just go out. Let's get out of the house or let's go do this or just do this or just do that and it's like if I could do those things I without Fighting to do those things. I would do them, but it's like I can't describe it People you those who get it get it and those who don't don't and I would never ever ever ever wish depression on my worst fucking enemy
Starting point is 00:26:11 I actually know somebody who does not believe in depression anxiety at all They're like, oh, it's just the way you're thinking you need to just change your thinking and I'm like wow tell me you've never struggled Yeah, I'm like wow tell me you've never struggled with mental health like that's a privilege that you Truly believe that people don't suffer from mental health issues like Truly I'm glad that you've never had that experience, but you have to be able to still be empathetic
Starting point is 00:26:40 Towards those who do have these struggles. Nobody's making this shit up. Nobody just wants to live like that So it's very interesting to me who like people think you can just outthink your way Out of yeah, no, I mean, and you know what maybe maybe for For a low level depression, which I know that I've had for a long I had for a long time I was able to kind of work through it. I didn't really need meds. They didn't really need extra help I kind of it was manageable. There are definitely I would say low Levels of depression and other mental illnesses that you can manage without meds, and I think that's why my therapist. She's pretty conservative when it comes to meds
Starting point is 00:27:21 But then there are there are forms of depression that are much more severe and need more help Right and there's literally no shame in any of the above You just got to kind of take care of yourself and take care of mental health and We're on this journey with you ma'am Well, I'll keep you guys posted Kristen and I are going to try to get in with that doctor in New York Yeah, for sure. And we'll you know, see what we can do content wise um So I also so some of the other stuff I have a whole list of things that people wrote in that they wanted to uh
Starting point is 00:27:53 Know about so thank your kitty gang FBI agents for determining that hot boyfriend is hot neighbor um Shout out to them. They were literally looking through um Like your care of that They were like, oh she thought she covered it up, but you can see right through the packaging I know and then I also said um someone was like I read in the comments It was like she stopped talking about hot neighbor when she got a boyfriend
Starting point is 00:28:22 So obviously hot neighbor is boyfriend. So yes, and then I also said that boyfriend and I have six and a half acres So I just tell on myself like yes I am a horrible liar and I can't keep a secret about my own dating life. So y'all know Y'all have figured me out It was fun while it lasted Um, but now I get to now I can post pictures of us. Um, because I wasn't really showing his face But now that it's been figured out I will I'm gonna post a picture that we took at dinner a couple weeks ago um that Kristen took and um
Starting point is 00:28:58 Oh, yes at our celebratory And so I like I can't It's so weird to be in a relationship with someone who Is so like divide and conquer and like we just I don't think I've ever been in a situation where like we just agree on so much But we're so different. It's so weird. Well, I think you this is probably the most and this is no offense to anybody that you've You know been with in the past. I would say like
Starting point is 00:29:31 You haven't I don't think that you've been in a place where you've actually Been able or wanted to actually divide and conquer with someone Or be able to accept somebody dividing and conquering with you I wanted chris to divide and conquer with me. Yes, but I That was never gonna happen It just it wasn't like I think you wanted it so bad at the same time during that relationship you really tried to I feel like from the outside it looked like prove your independence at the same time And it was like now you're okay leaning in for support when you need it
Starting point is 00:30:08 And maybe it comes with age. Maybe it comes from the significant time you've been in therapy at this point But your your walls are definitely the furthest down With someone that I've that I've ever seen it was so cute on sunday when we had um We had football all day. Like I said earlier. Um, we left at 9 30 And Elijah was gonna do like I keep saying Elijah. It's Elijah like with an E. Um, I don't call him Elijah No, but anyhow
Starting point is 00:30:39 I call him everything else but that Um, Laiji baby Laiji baby Laija hot neighbor hot boyfriend just boyfriend babe, whatever Um, so he was gonna do some stuff around the house. I think there's just like I have so many amazon boxes outside He's been like break them down. Oh, no, no, he wanted to clean out the garage He wanted to because I want to I told him I want to be able to park my car in the garage So he was like, okay, when you get back from football, you'll be able to park in your garage So I was like fuck. Yeah, I love this like he calls it tinkering. He loves to tinker Um, and when we got to the frickin field, which I've talked about before the football field is like 45 minutes from my house
Starting point is 00:31:20 We get there and lux was like, I just want Elijah to come to my football game. Oh And I was like, oh fuck like shit Um, because what am I supposed to do now because we should have just left together But then Elijah would have to been there all day. So I text him and I said Hey, lux wanted you to wanted you to come to his game. And, um Blow and behold 45 minutes later. He shows up. So And then at the end of the game lux looked at him. He was like thanks for coming and it was so sweet
Starting point is 00:31:52 I was just like this is so cute I mean, it's so good that they're like That he's comfortable enough to like say like I want him to come Oh, yeah, but he'll always be there I want him to come. Oh, yeah, but he'll also say like if If elijah will tell him to do something or pick something up He'll also be like, I don't like elijah to tell me what to do You can't have it both ways. He's just telling you to clean up
Starting point is 00:32:19 Yeah, it's because we know that mom is not laying down the wall in that department, but hot boyfriend will I mean, I you know, you know that little face I I need to know from our other Kitty gang and coffee commas listeners. I I'm really thinking about either a Not buying as many snacks as I normally do or b Putting a lock on the pantry because my kids Keep sneaking snacks upstairs and then they leave their trash like they're not even hiding it So I was I told natalie yesterday when she was here. I was like, I'm not even buying snacks anymore
Starting point is 00:32:56 I'm just gonna buy fruit and if you're hungry, you'll do that or make a sandwich I'm done buying the snacks because you guys are just like Literally eating all of them in like three days. Um, what do you guys do for your snacks slash your pantry? Do you put a lock on the cabinet? Like what are y'all doing? I feel like someone's gonna literally call cps and be like kills locking our kids away from their food I said I would have fruit available or make a sandwich. Okay. Yeah, you did you did offer alternatives. Um I feel like you always have the best snacks though. So I don't blame your kids. Like I read your pantry when I come Yeah, lasha said, um, he read something about dating single moms because they have the best snacks
Starting point is 00:33:37 Know what literally like you have the Best it's like stacy's mom got it going on like it's all up in that pantry Damn the I can't it's really nice. Um It's funny. You say that because people asked like what do you do for like snacks and stuff in the summer like good Food ideas meal ideas lunches stuff like that for in the summertime And I'm like, uh, I don't have kids. I don't really know but I can ask you because you've got you know a whole crew well in the summertime we grill a lot so And that was just like regular like even with my exes and stuff, but oh Elijah
Starting point is 00:34:19 Elijah He is a really good cook Um, so I'm excited to see like what meals we do this summer. Um, but he grills a lot like we've had Grilled food a bunch since I mean To see him have been together. Well, he throws down you guys do like gourmet meals out there Well, he doesn't like take out. He doesn't really he he wants home cooked meals every day and actually which thank god Wait, no, I know because I feel like Like my my food spending has definitely decreased it has decreased. Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:52 He is doing great things I'm gonna I'm gonna praise him like you like you know, like others have praised him, but I'm actually gonna mean it No, but seriously decreasing the food spending Um, he he it was funny because he he every single night He's like, what do you want to do for dinner and I hate that because I feel like the pressure is on me And I'm very basic. I eat the same four things Um, but he also he just likes other things. So I'm like We don't have any kids
Starting point is 00:35:22 Here at all and I'm not that hungry. I said, so can we just do hamburger helper bitch We had hamburger helper two nights in a row I mean, there's nothing wrong with that. You still cooked and you didn't eat out Right and we don't we didn't have the kids we ate and was fine and um, I don't know like it's just pretty good But I did see I think I talked about it on one of the other podcast episodes This TikTok of a woman who does Monday through Saturday or Sunday through Saturday And then has the the meals for the week and then she keeps them until someone gets sick of it And then they're the same or whatever. So I told Elijah about that and he said, um, he was fine with that
Starting point is 00:35:58 But then I I never did it. So I need to order. I do need to order the white board so I can put it up Yeah, I think that's a really good idea. Um, I would say For grilling I like to grill because and this is one of my budgeting tips I like to make sure we're grilling in the summertime because then we don't turn the stove on as much If you don't turn the stove on it's less hot. So then your air won't continue to run because your stove's on Oh, that's a good one. See just all the time. They get a shit save money But um, as far as like lunches and stuff go I feel like Your kids pretty much probably just like what tell you when they're hungry. Um, no for lunches
Starting point is 00:36:40 I do try to just stay on track a little bit. Um, if they're hungry outside of like when I make lunch Isaac will like make a sandwich for himself, but Um, it just depends on the day Honestly, yeah, well, and I feel like with your pool finally freaking up. Thank you again, Elijah. Hello Can you hear me Kristen? Hello? Can you hear me? Can you hear me now, ma'am? I can hear you That was really good. Um a little bit of technical difficulties Kristen just tagged me in a stupid ass post that said you ever been in a car with someone who drives like we got extra lives
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yeah, Kristen. Kristen's the worst driver in history. Absolutely not. Have you ever died? No, but I've come close with you I've come close with you. I've become very close Me I'm a good driver. You're a fucking liar I'm a great driver. We're gonna play whose car insurance is more expensive Oh, and we'll let that determine. We'll let that determine who's the liar here Uh, yeah, my car insurance is kind of through the roof. I hate it. I don't know why I'm like this, but It is what it is. Um, my driving is fine. No one's ever died
Starting point is 00:38:05 No, it's not ask Lindsey. Lindsey's not here, but um y'all Kristen is not a good driver When we were in Dallas I had to tell Kristen that she was no longer allowed to drive the rental and I was responsible because It was insane and it's crazy because she does not look at her phone while she's driving like she just can't So it's not even like a texting and driving situation. It's just like she has a death wish And I don't understand it. Listen, we got everywhere we needed to be Severely early. We were fine. Yeah, and then I Took over the driving. Yeah, and I mean it was still fine
Starting point is 00:38:42 It was fine, but yes, I did get banned from driving the rental car and then when I was I was like You are not even getting in that front seat. I was like, okay Absolutely, it's fine. It's fine. Um, just sit in the back I was saying that for Lunches and stuff for your kids. I feel like now with your pull-up finally like they're gonna just be in the pool all summer Yeah, which also makes you hungrier This is true. Maybe you could you like pull side snacks? Yeah, or shark charcuterie boards. You could get the um, don't they have like the floating
Starting point is 00:39:19 Like thing that they can literally just like you could put food on and it just like floats around Yeah, I'm not gonna cook this summer. I don't think I want you to go home for everybody. I want you to go home and like tell your kids like yeah, you guys are on your own It's summer No, you know what? I saw this video. Um, this tiktok yesterday. I might have been this morning. Not sure. Um, She this woman she said that um Her and her family live in this trailer a single wide trailer. She did a tour
Starting point is 00:39:51 She said she pays $500 a month and it's on this big plot of land and I said, you know what? I'm reevaluating my entire life and I'm gonna just sell everything. I'm gonna get a horse and buggy and a single wide trailer and We're just gonna live our best life I mean, I feel like that would be interesting Like could you imagine me and four kids in a single wide trailer? No Not with the amount of personalities between lux and linkin alone I don't know. I feel like it would be a great time

How much do you think I could get for it? Yeah, we're just like selling it and like doing something like literally doing something All right, hold on. I'm gonna call Joe right now

I'm gonna get a single wide trailer and I'm gonna start over so How do I find out what this is worth? Um, I can do some research

Oh, um, I forgot about the kids schooling. Um, well, I'd probably just leave Isaac with you for the school year I'm doing a prank call for the podcast Okay, all right, I'm just kidding about all of it. Starting point is 00:44:25 I can't hear him. I had to hang up. All right. Should I prank Lincoln? Oh my god, I was gonna say can we prank Lincoln and and tell him that you like, um Who's his favorite like sports player? Oh my god. No, I don't want to break his heart. Oh shit. Okay. What it's not you didn't put me in your phone as shitty pants He's so dry. You're so dry. Okay. I was just prank calling you for the podcast What? I was prank phone calling you for the podcast

We're eating at cheesecake factory Wait, you're driving to Boston? Yeah. Oh my god. Okay. Well, I'll let you go I hope you have a great meal. Make sure you get mac and cheese balls. He said I don't want to move We where I live right now? We just moved. Who else can you prank call? I don't have any friends I feel like Natalie won't be shocked by anything. She's right up there with me at this point Well, what should I tell her though? Like what should I tell her? What can we tell?
Starting point is 00:47:41 I wonder if Nat would believe you're moving. No, she would never. Damn. You guys have to tell get right in prank phone calls Call Nat and be like Elijah and I broke up. So I have to move Okay, hold on. I'm putting myself back on mute. Me and Elijah broke up. So I need to move. I need to sell this house I need you to hang up and call me back and start this conversation all over. Okay What? We broke up and I need to sell the house What do you mean you broke up, Kale?
Starting point is 00:48:20 I'm not understanding something He said he's not ready for the chaos Are you supposed to? I'm stuttering What? No, I'm just kidding. This was a prank phone call I'm looking goodbye You fucking asshole I'm literally over here fucking stuttering. I have anxiety, remember?
Starting point is 00:48:55 Blame Kristen. All right. Love you, bye Wait, okay. What should I call Elijah and say something to him? Um, what could I what could I say to him? Oh, tell me about chickens Oh People have been saying they want you to get up. Okay. Okay. Hold on Hey, babe Um, I did a thing today Guess what I did
Starting point is 00:49:29 I what Yes, I did buy something I got chickens Yeah Like with a coop I'll call you on I'm on break. No, no, no, but there but we have a chicken coop and chicken So we'll have fresh eggs Okay, I'll call you when we're on break. Okay. All right. I love you
Starting point is 00:49:56 Bye He is not nobody is with my shit I mean not at least the funniest but now you see the PTSD we all have Wait Y'all have to write next time me and Kristen podcast together I'm gonna have a list of people to prank and you have to send help me send in like the pranks. Yeah, we need to Yeah, we need to know if Alexa wasn't at work. We'd be able to prank call Alexa Oh my god, I'd give her like a fucking scandal like some kind of scandal
Starting point is 00:50:32 She would be like, um, I'm at work. I don't have time for this She would be like Elijah who's like, can I call you on my break? He I wonder if he's like seriously thinks I bought chickens I mean he like you're gonna have to go immediately get chickens and a coop and have it at your house in the next Probably three hours by the time he gets no, no, no, no, no, no. No, I'm not getting chickens in a fucking coop I will not wrote in and posted pictures of chickens and how you need them because you said that you have all this acreage And I'm like, we are not getting chickens. Thank you. We are not getting any more animals. I cannot Immediately know immediately. No immediately. Oh my god. That is so funny. Um
Starting point is 00:51:15 I can't you you're gonna have to update us with his reaction. Yeah, I'm gonna like it's no chickens. Yeah, okay I'll let you know. Oh my god um What else is on this list that people wanted us to talk about? Oh, so Joe met Elijah At the celebration dinner. Yes, so people were wondering what do your kids dads think about him Well, joe loves him and all of joe's friends love him So they had like their little bromance that was established over Memorial Day weekend Um, Javi met him once before me and Elijah ever were like a thing
Starting point is 00:51:51 Um, when I was moving in and um, so I don't I don't know that he has an opinion Maybe he does maybe he doesn't and then Chris claims that he loves Elijah. Um, So, I don't know Well, I mean that's good at least nobody has like a straight issue with him No, and they they shouldn't because He he's great. He's a great guy. I mean he works really hard. He's really good to me. He's good to the kids Um, he takes care of his things. He's a nice person He's close with his mom like there's he's close with his family
Starting point is 00:52:24 um So, yeah, I don't think there's any reason for them not to like him Love that. Um, okay So we also have how do we find balance and establish boundaries with our workaholic personalities and avoid burnout? That's um, christen means help with that because she doesn't stop working me as a boss Literally, I will text christen and say stop working. I will tell her take the whole day off I'll tell her the shit can wait until tomorrow Um, and she always tells me no
Starting point is 00:52:56 This is true. This is true. Um I feel like you've gotten way better because you used to do this fun thing Where you wouldn't have the kids or the kids would be asleep and you would just that's when you would be like Oh, we're working now and it was like 9 p.m Um Or on your weekend christen wanted to kill me. Yeah, or on the weekends that you didn't have them. You would be like, hello Do you remember me? And I'd spit out all these ideas and all the things that need to get done
Starting point is 00:53:25 And now I just don't do that because I just It'll have a relationship now Yes, and we we do our best to do friends after five um We christen doesn't listen more than I don't Like sometimes I don't listen, but it's mainly christen because I'm like Literally her mom had like a little accident the other day and I was like literally take the whole day off And she was what did I text you that morning? I forget. What did I say to you that morning?
Starting point is 00:53:56 Let me go look You told me what happened and then I said, oh, I'm we texted all day on Monday. Hold on I'm still in the 7 p.m. Instead of the 7 a.m. You were awake Monday. Oh Oh, I was in bed until 7 30 p.m. Yeah, but you were conscious. Okay you told me um That you your mom was good and she was laying down for a nap and I said, okay, don't take the whole day off And um hang out with your mom and you said no, I'm playing catch-up. I put her down for a nap No, it's just like take the fucking day off like what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Um, it never fails that just because I obviously don't just have you Like just you by yourself now and it's like extensions of you at this point that I have that like Even if you're we're in a place where I could it's like all the other things cannot wait till tomorrow. You know what I mean? Yeah, I guess that makes sense Which I like like it because it keeps me busy and I never have like a I'm never sitting here twiddling my thumbs like ever Um, but as far as avoiding burnout goes. I don't know. I feel like there's definitely times where I've definitely gotten burned out
Starting point is 00:55:13 um And then I don't really know I think I just like We end up doing something that I actually like reignites my passion for what I'm doing And then it kind of just fixes itself a couple episodes back I talked about how one of my dogs has cancer and He's still a puppy to me He's only two and so I really wanted to do this embark pure red kit and kind of get some more information on his health I have done DNA kits on myself. So I thought why not do this one for my dog?
Starting point is 00:55:44 So 75 percent of dogs are at risk or a carrier for a genetic health condition So embark screens for more than 210 genetic health risks So I thought this was really cool and I needed to do it on buda Definitely check this out. I know that Lindsay was also very excited to get Georgia tested Which we all know is Lindsay's precious mini golden doodle Embark tests for many health conditions that are relevant for the golden doodle breed and being proactive about her dog's health makes her Have so much more peace of mind as a pup parent. I know she cannot wait to get her results
Starting point is 00:56:20 So I actually just got an email on saturday and it's a lab update It's the second step in the process when the DNA sample undergoes genotyping So I thought that was really cool that they're kind of updating me along the way Through this process and so it just sent me that email with that and then it has like a little bit more information in the email And so I know that my My dog's results buda's results will be here soon and I'm really excited to see like what it has to say This is also a really good Thing to do if you have like a mixed breed that you got from a shelter
Starting point is 00:56:51 Or that you rescued it could be a really good option to find out more about the history or genetic Situation for your for your new rescued pup So embark offers the most scientifically advanced dog DNA test their test analyzes more than 230,000 genetic markers that's over twice as much genetic data as the competition And right now embark has a limited time offer on their breed and health kit and purebred kit for our listeners So if you guys go to embark vet dot com to get free shipping and you'll save 40 dollars with promo code copy combos Visit embark vet dot com and use promo code copy combos to save 40 dollars today But like I will say I can't wait for my July vacation
Starting point is 00:57:32 Like I cannot fucking wait and you should enjoy that to the full extent like absolutely do not work even a minute on that trip I'm gonna do my best Why have to do the coffee combo stuff still because like I don't have anybody to do that but take over Um, I'm going to I have like Cory and I are trying to chill this vacation Last vacation we ran around like maniacs. This one. We're really gonna just be like at the resort By the pool. We rented a cabana for the week. Um, so I don't even have to like worry about getting sun poisoning or anything crazy Since I'm so pale I can just sit in this cabana that has this giant fan
Starting point is 00:58:09 Not be dying. They bring you so nice. I know they bring you your food and drinks right to the cabana To me that's perfect. That's what we didn't Um, we did that in Jamaica and it was literally the best because it's you get to enjoy being outside without getting sunburn And just like you're a little bit cool because you're in the shade. That's it's the best way to do it I can't wait to take naps like I'm gonna nap by the pool And like not know what to do with myself and then I feel like I'll come back super refreshed and like ready to kick ass You're gonna love it. It's gonna be cool. I'm pumped people actually asked like what is it? What does it look like for me when you plan a vacation?
Starting point is 00:58:49 and I'm like kale's not allowed to plan vacations anymore because It's never good. It's not good. It's never good. It does not your execution is a little off your intentions are fully there Yeah, but my execution is way off. And so, um, it's just not The last time that kale booked a flight it was for her and I to go I forget where and we were in the last row of a fucking plane Literally the last row and kill me get on and he was like, why are we back here? And Kristen was like because you booked it I was like, oh, okay. This is why I won't be doing this again. Um, yeah, but what does it look like for me? It really depends like it depends where
Starting point is 00:59:32 Where you're going. We kind of just look up stuff that you want to do Um stuff that fits your whole plan I still bother you sometimes while I am Um away um Not normally though because normally you're so busy with all the kids that you don't even have your phone till like nighttime Okay. Yeah, I would say that's pretty because you do all your excursions during the day And like pretty early in the day and then you usually do like
Starting point is 00:59:59 Some type of water activity whether it's like ocean or pool and then it's like nighttime. Um Yeah, I would it's it's uh, that's when I get to play like Catch up on like stuff that I don't have time to do regularly like bookkeeping and all the boring stuff Yes So that's always fun. Um, people ask to like how we budget for vacations and stuff. We kind of just Well for my I'll I'll say for my own I calculate exactly like
Starting point is 01:00:30 What I always over Estimate what I'm going to need for a vacation And then I break it down into how much I need to save out of every single paycheck to the point that we're leaving and then I have I do that and then I have all my money um, I Kristen takes money out of certain paychecks for me and puts them in a vacation account
Starting point is 01:00:54 um, because I like to do like with the kids I like to do one big vacation every year and Some years it's a bigger fund than others and we just we act accordingly Mm-hmm. Yeah, I think your I would say your most expensive vacation was probably your three weeks in Hawaii And that was by far my favorite one. Yeah, it was very very expensive But um, I will say and this is no shade at all It was also because Leah was there because we were like, oh together we can do we can Reek havoc, you know what I mean? Like we're like, oh like together, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:01:32 But I had it just been me had it just been me and the kids. I don't think that I would have spent that much But you know when it was like, oh, we should get a boat for the day. Oh wait, we should get a boat for two or three days You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah escalated very quickly. It was a very rapid situation. So um Yeah, very rapid that we just forgot to include me Next time I Go to hawaiian vacation. I'm just not gonna come back So Pretty sure Joe just said you're not allowed to move far
Starting point is 01:02:05 Well, actually Elijah already lived in Hawaii for a couple years. So he is not interested in going back either. So really? Yeah, I I think I mean, he was married at the time Um, and also it's just like really far. It was really expensive to come home And it was during all the covid years. So he didn't get to really go out and do stuff and he worked a lot He was in the military. So That makes sense. That makes sense. Yeah, but I'm like you guys have a list of where you want to go together Well, I asked that's so crazy. I asked him last night. I said if money is no object, where do you want to go?
Starting point is 01:02:39 Um, and he didn't have an answer. I think he's not like a travel person Like he just doesn't like he'll do it because I want to do it But if it wasn't for me, he's not going to do it kind of thing. Okay. No, I get that I mean, I'm the same. I'm good with being inside of the country. I have no interest in going outside Oh, no, I'm like regularly pressuring him to get a um a passport. Yeah, I refuse Next thing I know I'll be like coffee combos content trip in aruba. Got it. I'm like, nope. Sorry. I can't attend I'm just gonna like forge um, your out your signature on an application I mean, I'm gonna forge yours 24 sevens. So it'd be fair. It'd be fair
Starting point is 01:03:21 I wanted to talk about that but I didn't want to get in trouble that you are power of attorney for my signature and um Oh, yeah, we can't get in trouble because we have the legal documents that I'm allowed to sign on your behalf But am I allowed to say something? I'm like, oh, yeah, I don't give a shit when briana posted that The shit with the lawsuit was like I hope when you signed this you felt like complete shit and I was laughing me and kristin we're laughing so Because I was like, wait a minute. I didn't even know like I was working at the time
Starting point is 01:04:04 I didn't have my phone and I was just like kristin has power of attorney to do that stuff. So I promise you it's fully legal, but um, I was cracking up because I'm like I was working and didn't give three zero. I gave zero fucks. Like I didn't care kristin's like, yeah, I felt fine. I felt fine. I was not worried at all When you signed this, I hope you felt like complete shit. No, I literally didn't give a complete shit at all. So Oh my god, no, it was so fucking funny though because you really never know what goes on behind the scenes someone stuff like And people ask that they're like, what is it like like behind the scenes of all of the podcasts? Like we see we get the episode of the podcast and we know there's ads in it
Starting point is 01:04:50 But like what is the whole process behind the scenes and you really like we just talked about this the other day You look at something in the store and you don't think about the process that it took to get that thing into the store That you're about to buy right. So it's just like funny that When she did that I'm like, bitch. That wasn't even her that signed it Like She doesn't sign 99.9 percent of her shit. So I'm like, I this is it was very very funny. Um, well, I mean you live and you learn I guess right? You were too busy and having a sign. I was busy working. Um, and it got signed but
Starting point is 01:05:31 it's just so funny because I'm like get it together but, um the behind-the-scenes is really crazy because When people say get a real job, I'm like, y'all have no idea like you And I'm not obviously talking about the supporters. I'm talking about the trolls that are like, oh, it's time to get a real job Like the behind-the-scenes work for all the podcasts is a real job Who do you think is operating and doing all of the sales the meetings the the conference calls the You know the posting on social media. These are all full-time jobs that people have like it's not just me It's not just me. It's Kristen and it's like a whole team of other people who this is their job and, um
Starting point is 01:06:10 As far as I'm concerned, it is my degree. It's like what my degree is meant for so I'm just like It's work like it is work and I can't tell you there's so many times where I'm like, I you know I would love for this company to sponsor us. I love their products. Whatever it either works out or it doesn't work out Um, and so there's that aspect of it and just getting merch. I mean merch has been a full It's a full time production. Yeah, it's a full situation. And so, um, it's just not easy to just like put it out You know what I mean? Like it's just not You don't just like get the product and put it out. It's a full time. I'm like you can but when you want to have a quality
Starting point is 01:06:49 situation Like you need to go through the design process and the sampling process and feel it and see the printing and see if it's Holding up in the wash and if you like it and if it's fading and then you got to make your comments And they go back and they keep doing this at round after round after round until you get it right and then you have a Release schedule that you get locked into and you need pictures and you need the stuff put on the website and you need Um, the whole marketing situation behind it. Are we doing paid ads? Are we not doing paid ads? Who who are they going on all of this costs money paying somebody to put it up on the website paying someone
Starting point is 01:07:25 You know what I mean? And I think that's the other part of it is like, you know I'm we're all spending a lot of money to make the money, you know, I've owned businesses in the past I've tried different ventures before that haven't worked out and I I want to anything that I put out now I want to be of good quality because of things that I've experienced in the past Um, I want people to trust me. I want people to trust my products again I don't ever want there to be a time where they're not happy with things and then they you know what I mean Because I've already I've messed up in business so much but I want to take my time and make sure it's right and so In doing that, you know, we have to send samples out a hundred times or
Starting point is 01:08:02 Well, it's funny You actually say that because I saw this thing the other day because you always say how you failed so much in business and I'm like You really didn't obviously because it's you it feels like that but I was looking at something and they were talking about and showing all of the Kardashian's failed business ventures And there are so many That people have no idea about Really?
Starting point is 01:08:22 Yeah, there was like over 12 No way Yeah, I have to send you the article and I literally was like I literally said I don't know why kale feels like shit about herself because Part of growing in business is failing. You don't Learn shit without failing Right and you don't learn shit without it's just the same as in your personal life. You don't Learn anything Most of the time you don't learn much by the good times. It is the bad times and that's why okay
Starting point is 01:08:48 So this is going in a completely different direction, but when people are like, oh, you're one to give advice and it's like No, but I am because I've Been through the trenches Like I've literally been through the worst of the worst like that's why I am giving you this advice It doesn't necessarily make me a hypocrite. You know what I mean because I've experienced this or I've experienced something So similar that this is where I got my takeaway. This is where I got my lesson This is where I get my advice because I've been through the shit. I've done it. I've failed I've made mistakes and so
Starting point is 01:09:17 Um, I wish people would see it from that perspective more often Well, and it's just I think that's just people being probably annoyed with more with themselves and projecting that like maybe they Didn't learn anything from their failures Maybe they don't have anybody in their life that can actually give them good advice Right, that's true. That's a good point. It's I think honestly it's like a lot of projection and I was reading something the other day it really resonated and basically was just saying like We only want the positive stuff naturally because it doesn't make us uncomfortable
Starting point is 01:09:47 But the only time you grow is by being uncomfortable and failing and learning things and being heartbroken and Being disappointed and like those are the times that you learn shit So like it can't always be happy and I was like, you know what like what a perspective check here? It is it really is though. It really is I was like damn Um But yeah, so The the podcast is obviously a job It is business ventures are all a job
Starting point is 01:10:18 And we do a lot of jobs and wear a lot of hats that It would take most people a team of like 50 people to execute and it's most of the time two and three of us I'm proud of us. So I feel like we're doing pretty good. I think we're doing a great job. You're doing a great job Yeah, so are you um, I'm waiting for Elisha to call me back because about the I don't know if I should text him and be like I was just kidding or wait to film his reaction when he gets home maybe that So shopping for new clothes can be super time consuming and if you're like me and you order things online And then you they don't fit and then you return them and you're like, uh, you don't return them because it's such a headache

Um Let can we talk for one second about how serious people take these groups for the podcast? Yeah, it's honestly ride or die. I know. I love it. I it's so cool. I um I was like, wow, this is amazing and I read one of the comments that was like I love that there's just like a group of women here openly admitting. Um to shitting their pants on a regular basis
Starting point is 01:13:59 Yeah, that's shitty kiddies. I'm just like I'm just like no, we really are ride or die. I absolutely love them and um the groups are so fun I actually love like especially when I'm like rocking the baby or I just don't have anything going on for a few minutes I get on and I like respond and I see funny things that people post and I just love it It feels it feels like a community like it feels I don't know. I love it. Oh, it's definitely it's definitely a community Um, I cannot wait for our merch to come out and for everyone to see it I'll obviously be posting some sneak peeks once we get the samples and approve stuff I'm gonna post sneak peeks in the coffee combos

I mean besides like actual shit Um, that's always welcome. If you like those things great. If you don't like listening to shit stories, that's okay, too Um, you don't have to participate in those combos. No, hey, we don't care. Yeah, totally I understand. It took me a long time to get comfortable with talking about shitting So you didn't really have much choice at this point. Yeah
Starting point is 01:15:15 This point I'm gonna call myself out. But yeah, that being said here is we're gonna go to this first foul play that I got Okay Hi ladies. I love your podcast I work as an occupational therapist in a nursing home and the other day I walked into my new patient's room a 90 year old Man his eyes are closed and he isn't answering me. I noticed that he's breathing, but he's also shaking Now it's definitely not cold. So I know he isn't shivering So I start getting nervous that he might be having a seizure I call his name loudly in his ear to see if he'll respond
Starting point is 01:15:45 I go to take down his sheets so I can begin lying him on his side. And what do I see? Not a seizure just masturbating I pull up the covers in 0.2 seconds and immediately apologize Pull his curtains and leave the room. I now understand why his eyes were closed and he wasn't answering me I think he was willing me away. That was a first for me Just an aside. He's confused and I'm sure is seeking sensory stimulation. However was a funny story in the moment I don't oh my god. I never even thought about like nursing homes and people still being
Starting point is 01:16:21 Yeah, like sexually active Yeah, wow. I don't I don't even know what I would do I think I would be I would be mortified like I would feel bad, but I would also be mortified to have seen that, you know Yeah, I Yeah I don't even know
Starting point is 01:16:42 What the hell I would do. Um I mean good for him for still, you know, I I would cry though, I think I would I would also immediately break down. I would need the rest of the day. I just love how she pulled the sheet back up She was like, let me put him back to his The way that I found him Poor thing. She scarred her knife Glad he was okay
Starting point is 01:17:12 I'm glad it wasn't a seizure, but damn Oh my god, that's a lot. That's a lot. Um okay Love your podcast and I'm always crying with lol at the foul play stories and thought I'd said my own This was many years ago now. I must have been around 20 years old. I'm 36 now, but never oh god Never have I experienced such butthole annihilation due to sickness What Before it were since butthole annihilation. That's a new one. Okay. Oh my god. I'm scared
Starting point is 01:17:45 I'm very scared of where this is going I used to have a horse and had to cycle two miles to the stables after work to take him in from the field for the night I'd start to feel funny when I finished my shift shift at work So quickly paid my way to the stables It came on so fast by the time I got there I could barely stand got the horse in and started to make my way home I had to stop around three times on my way back to vomit. My younger sister was at home I burst in the door and went straight to the bathroom telling her I'm really sick
Starting point is 01:18:14 I go to the bathroom, sit on the toilet, but then I felt the vomit coming at the same time. No problem, right? Oh, no, oh no I'm on the toilet. So I'll just lean over and spew in the bath Well, the force of was stuff of nightmares and when I bent over to vomit the liquid shit sprayed out of my ass Like I had a hose up there and I couldn't stop I started shouting For my sister for help and she ran in but instantly her face of horror told me everything I needed to know. She couldn't help me. This shit has sprayed. Oh my god. No, no, no, no, no, no, no This shit had sprayed right up the wall and was dripping off the ceiling
Starting point is 01:18:54 She instantly screamed and called my mom It was at work and told her she thinks I'm Told her she thinks I'm dying My mom had to call her friend to come around until she could get home And so she came in and her face of absolute disgust and shock when she entered the bathroom Will always have a place in my memories I don't know to this day if it was my mom's friend or my mom who ended up having to scrub the walls and ceiling of Dripping shit water. I've never wanted to ask. I hope they have forgotten, but let's be honest
Starting point is 01:19:27 How can you forget that keep killing it? My god, oh my god. Oh no So I also my shit didn't spray all over but this also happened to me in Chattanooga and I was Shitting so bad and also throwing up and so I was like, I'll just sleep on the toilet and I'll Stack the towels up on the sink and just like put my head on the sink and so I can shit in peace and
Starting point is 01:20:00 It was so bad and I ended up knocking the towels into the sink and also throwing up into the sink And I had to call the room service to come help like unclog the sink So I fully relate to that and I also think I shit my pants on that trip as well so I am so sorry that that happened to you and I fully resonate with the pain and the just like Embarrassment, um I'm so sorry I'm so sorry
Starting point is 01:20:38 Me and Kristen shared a bed and I shit my pants I was like I I didn't It just came out like I I could it was only a little but it was like I just it was so embarrassing and my old my ex-friend mark is in there in another bed And I was like he needs his own room like I can't I had to wake I had to wake him up to tell him That housekeeping was coming at 3 a.m. To unclog the sink of vomit Well, then he had to get his own room because I was no longer comfortable with like shitting and hymn diarrhea and like I fully understand shitting and throwing up at the same time. It's that's I mean it's also happened to me
Starting point is 01:21:22 It happened to me at cracker barrel when I was like 12. I got food poisoning at the table And it was I won't go back to cracker barrel like if I get sick at a restaurant. I don't go back There is no giving me a second chance. Did I ever tell the story about the tampon? Uh, not to my knowledge I don't know where this is going. Um So in that foul play that the woman just wrote in about like the look of Disgust and horror and horror um
Starting point is 01:21:51 immediately thought of circa 2013 Nope, it was circa 2012 um I accidentally left a tampon in for like two weeks and I called my ob and I was like something's wrong. I think I had an sd
Starting point is 01:22:11 It smells so bad. I'm like I cannot believe I'm telling this story. I thought I was gonna go take it to the grave. Um, And I said I think I have an sd. Like something's wrong and he was like, okay come in immediately So he got me in and he was like, nope. It's just a tampon. Well, he did not wear a mask Oh, no Oh, and so oh my god. I want to die. I literally want to die right now. Um, when he took the tampon out The face that he made Was exactly what a picture of the woman walking into Shit sprayed all over the feeling in the walls just pure disgust and absolute terror. Um, I
Starting point is 01:22:56 Am I have been sure to never leave a tampon in ever again after that. So, um How did you not get tss? Um, I'm shocked that I didn't I actually think that's how I like aside from the foul odor of like a like literal rotting flesh I also I also started to I think I got like a fever It wasn't to the point where like I was about to die or anything But I think I did start to have some of the symptoms that made me like feel sick Um, but yeah, it was a good two weeks and I was like
Starting point is 01:23:29 This is literal hell and I'm so thankful. He got me in in that day Um, and so he also told me that they literally pulled tampons out of women like daily So I did like as mortified as he was like he was the look on his face. I'll never forget Um, I even remember the room I was in I'm like picturing it right now But he did make me feel better because he said that they literally do that daily Was this the same doctor that delivered your children? This is the doctor that delivered Isaac. Okay, okay Not the Delaware one got it. No, I was gonna say you kept going back because I would die No, I eventually moved. Um, this was before Lincoln. So, um
Starting point is 01:24:11 He saw me the same doctor saw me up until I was 37 weeks with Lincoln And then he was like you can't drive to allentown to have this baby You have to find a Delaware doctor and so that's when I transferred Um, so I never saw I've never seen him since I just love how you remember these things But like if I said hey, kill would you have for breakfast? You'd be like, I don't fucking know well The tampon was trauma Yeah, I think you just have too many traumatic experiences that like there is no room for fresh short-term memories
Starting point is 01:24:42 Oh my god I just like what is my life like people are probably like kill is so foul and gross but like it happens Like all this stuff. It's so funny to me and like I respect it, right? And I said that in the coffee combos group I respect it if you don't want to hear about these stories great We put them at the end. So just turn it off before we get here Um, but like nasty stuff doesn't just happen to like guys. It also happens to girls and like We can talk about it. It's a it's a safe space here Yeah, maybe I'll just any like foul anything foul at all will try to save to the end maybe
Starting point is 01:25:16 That way people don't have to hear a good compromise like that way if there is anything super foul They can just like turn it off. Yeah, we put it to the end and then once Lindsay is back in commission and we start our Telegram group chat we can like share A lot more of the foul play stuff there. That's like real gross that we get all right. I'm down It's been fun. Thank you for filling in for Lindsay. Everyone go with um, send her some love on instagram Um, and we will check in with you guys next week. Awesome. Thanks everybody. See ya
