Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift giving and receiving receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say? Thank you? This is coffee convos with Kale Lowry and Lindsay Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels Kale That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you a spirited discussion about motherhood friendship family and life in the public eye I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here Here's Kale and Lindsay this episode of coffee convos is brought to you by huggy special delivery diapers Hello, hello everyone Are you okay? No I'm not well. I did have not felt well today. I
Starting point is 00:00:37 Was sick and then I slept so much wait. Are you having a virus like what's happening? Well, I also have diarrhea. What why are you whispering as if we all can't hear I like text and Kristen last night because I was like I'm not well and then It kind of went away like very early this morning And then and then it and then it wasn't away wait it did a trick on you It was like we're going away. We have vacated the premises Just kidding just kidding like we're back Also, everyone who's listening welcome to a bonus episode of coffee convos podcast
Starting point is 00:01:18 I Feel like I'm gonna need you to get with my energy because I am excited about this one. Are you excited? I'm gonna try. I think as I like start talking and stuff. I'll warm up I have a snack obviously can't eat it, but I might mute myself while you're talking so I can eat a snack wait But what's the snack? It's actually barbecue chips. Oh, yeah, that's definitely something that the listeners don't want to hear Wait, what's that thing called where people like to hear people eat? SMR no ASMR ASMR
Starting point is 00:01:53 Yeah, that thing isn't that like we're it's like weird sounds or something Yeah, it's like whispering in the mic like doing weird shit. It's like I don't know Like people do it in like a very sexual way, so it makes me really uncomfortable Wait, what do you mean? Okay? Wait it says ASMR a feeling of well being combined with a tingling sensation Wait, that is not what this is. What is ASMR slang? It's an acronym for auto-anonymous sensory Meridian response popular on YouTube videos where people usually feature Sensual or interesting sounds and voices
Starting point is 00:02:33 Mm-hmm. The listener is meant to be wearing headphones to immerse themselves in that experience but also like the ones that I've seen of like people like whispering and like talking into the mic for like the effects are so Sexual like they just feel so second. Can you practice? Can you do one? Absolutely not? I will not get close to the mic and just absolutely not right now I can't I can't do it. You have to like do it so close to the mic and it's just like Listen to me. I am I went to football on Monday and Just like didn't think about the fact that I would be out on the field and when I tell you these bugs tore me the fuck up
Starting point is 00:03:12 I have Bug bites all over my feet and my hands on my I have one on my chest like these bugs tore me the fuck up wait, some people or more are more susceptible to Bug bites than others. I think didn't we talk about this before like they are attracted to like certain Blood types or something could be a total myth could be definitely making that up But I swear I have been outside with people Other people be in the same place that I was they got eat up and I don't I like I am jealous of you because I'm always getting bitten up. I just love to come and suck your blood
Starting point is 00:03:49 Wait, we have a lot of updates on just like previous cases that we've covered I feel like lots of stuff is happening. I have no idea what the hell is in the air But gonna go through some articles the first one is the updates on John Bonnet Ramsey and Her dad is pushing for new DNA testing. Did you see that? I did see that. I did see that So this article says John Ramsey father father of murdered six-year-old girl John Bonnet Ramsey is seeking Help from the state of Colorado in order to independently test DNA from the 1996 case, which has not yet been classified as a cold case I did not know What a cold case meant
Starting point is 00:04:34 I've always kind of like said it and probably improperly using it But a cold case is a crime or a suspected crime that has not yet been fully resolved and is not the subject of a current criminal investigation But for which new information could emerge from new witness testimony Re-examined archives new or retained material evidence or fresh activities of a suspect New technological methods developed after the investigation Logical methods developed after the crime was committed can be used on surviving evidence to analyze causes often with Conclusive results. So just a little
Starting point is 00:05:14 Lesson to tell you guys what cold case meant because I Did not know Um, you didn't know what a cold case was. No, I didn't know like the actual definition of it when I was reading this article I was like wait, how is this not yet been classified as a cold case? Um, so then that's what led me down that rabbit hole, but it says if um, Colorado stands in the way of this testing ramsey is threatening legal action In anticipation of the possibility that colorado may ignore his request ramsey is readying a petition for his daughter's k
Starting point is 00:05:48 His daughter's case dna to be released By colorado and to date he has collected over 16 000 signatures according to a report by fox news In a statement given to fox news digital on wednesday ramsey commented on his plans for legal action Should colorado work against him saying there was a case in florida that I read about a couple of years ago And the family did exactly that and they were successful the judge said okay You guys aren't calling this a cold case and it's a cold case Let's turn over the evidence and move on and that's our next step if we don't see any progress Wasn't there something that came out about the brother the brother said something?
Starting point is 00:06:25 So That was in another article that I saw. Um, there was a quote in there What was weird about it was like He had said something are you talking about the statement about how he thought it was like a pedophile from like one of her pageants? No, um What did you see I I saw an article. Let me see if I can pull it up It was from it wasn't from Burke. It was from one of her older brothers like her half siblings. Oh, what? Yeah Hold on
Starting point is 00:06:57 So wait while you're doing that this says with no moves made on the case in 25 years Ramsey hopes that the new developments and investigative genetic genealogy IgG research can get him closer to one day finding the person or persons responsible for the death of his daughter It's had remarkable success rambies ramsey said of IgG research and a quote to fox news That's what they should be doing Um, I guess you were right. It is about um, it says jambane ramsey's half brother speaks out on her 1996 murder and new New tv special praising investigator who believe pageant queens parents were innocent And declares dna technology will reveal the real killer. Um
Starting point is 00:07:38 I in all of um The documentaries that I've watched the tv shows everything that we have seen up to this point I mean, have we ever heard from the half siblings because I believe there was two half siblings older half siblings from From the outside, right? I'm pretty sure from john. Yeah, and we haven't heard from any of them and then Only heard from Burke that one time. I just The whole thing just weirds me out because I I feel like I feel like it's an inside job like I can't get past fucking I cannot get you cannot sit here
Starting point is 00:08:13 And tell me That they have the 911 call that they have and that the brother and or the dad did not at the very least Know what happened or participated in what happened? And then they're still requesting for dna and things like that to be tested unless they're they're confident that they're not going to find anything because They know you can't tell me they don't know well I think that
Starting point is 00:08:39 There's like definite lots of loophole like lots of missing pieces in this case the one thing that like really Really just irks me is the fact of like the ransom note It's so weird to me I think it was for 118 thousand dollars and Just like that exact number like there's just like something very suspect to me about that but As you were talking about Burke
Starting point is 00:09:07 Um, he did an interview in 2016 with dr. Phil And he had gone on there, you know maintained his innocence that he didn't have anything to do with the murder of a sister and He had his own theories and that's where he said it was probably some pedophile in the pageant audience It said the image of john benet as most know it is that of the baby beauty queen and a Competitive hobby encouraged by her mother who died of ovarian cancer in 2006 So I guess like during that interview that photo like popped up or whatever and Burke's theory is that a pedophile that was in the pageant audience killer
Starting point is 00:09:49 See him him having that theory alone already just makes me sus of him like suspicious suspicious of him Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I'm like major suspicious of him Everybody's like Burke didn't do it. I got so many dms of people Telling me like and by the way, it'll be like a long dm of like something else It's totally unrelated to john benet and then it'll be like and by the way Burke didn't do it I'm like, okay, but he knows he's not gonna still talking about it But the fact that Burke hasn't spoken out more as an adult after all this time his mom has passed
Starting point is 00:10:25 Um, why hasn't he spoken out more? He just spoke out that one time in 2016 like because you don't want to say something wrong also what would happen for john and Burke and Quite frankly the older two siblings like if they just started speaking out would they get in trouble for withholding information? Or if they could they make a plea deal at this point like you cannot convince me that they don't know what happened You can't I feel like there's there's a lot of information missing But then I saw this other article and it says john benet ramsey dna evidence could be identified in hours
Starting point is 00:10:59 um That to me is freaking wild to think that like this was such a heavily Followed case in the media It's been so so many years and for a genetic investigator to go out and say that by using this type of Technology that they could you know find out dna within hours is wild It said the genetic investigator
Starting point is 00:11:28 Whom's ram whom ramsey's brother tweeted about Said that the method the company uses could likely identify dna collected from the ramsey crime scene in only a few hours So it's like a big puzzle They have to put all the pieces of the puzzle back together little by little And what they're doing all day long is building family trees of these individuals that are sharing dna with the unknown suspect um It says that the ramsey's have been trying to get attention for the dna testing and have been supported um
Starting point is 00:11:59 And have supported the change.org petition for justice for john benet um unreal unreal I just I don't know and I don't know if I'm gonna shit myself if like it legitimately like they find the killer If they find a killer and it's not Burke or the father I don't I'm not gonna believe it to be perfectly honest with you. I will not believe it. I will believe it's all a setup
Starting point is 00:12:24 So wait, are you going to say that science is not real? No, I'm gonna say that it was an inside job And they're gonna try to pin it on someone that didn't do it because they don't want to die Thinking like for people thinking that the case wasn't solved For this specific case I feel like I'm going to be a conspiracy theorist for the sole fact that you cannot tell me That the dad and the brother were not involved in some way somehow. They know what happened. They do You're just like
Starting point is 00:12:52 I'm passionate about it. They know like there's no way somebody the 9-1-1 phone call alone and the ransom letter You could not fucking pay me to believe that an outsider did those I'm telling you I'm thinking I also think the mom had something to do with it I think the mom is guilty. I think the mom did it same All right, you guys I want to tell you really quickly about bodyguards. I know we've talked about it before I know you've heard me talk about this a hundred times But I just switched my phone case to the ombre blue one
Starting point is 00:13:23 I know I said I was going to post pictures and I got several other colors So I will post pictures of those as well. Our entire lives are on our phones and we use them to plan summer vacations To listen to podcasts and connect with the whole world So Why are they so fragile the feeling of dropping your phone is the worst? I know right before I put the case on it actually fell out of my pocket And went face down on the floor on the tile and it was not good But that's why I love bodyguards as soon as I put it on. I absolutely loved the sleek design
Starting point is 00:13:55 I love that it's not super bulky and The screen protector is great too because you don't have to worry about like your phone screen cracking You don't have to worry about your phone getting snagged on your pocket. It's so sleek and nice Absolutely love bodyguards since they're all designed by the bodyguards team in the us They're built for protection and style in mind and they're engineered to protect from drops at 8 feet 10 feet or even 12 feet Which is really really nice especially when I do have a staircase and multiple children and they love to take my phone And they think it's so funny
Starting point is 00:14:28 They have tons of colors and styles to choose from so like I said I will post pictures of the ones that I got and when you buy from bodyguards a portion of your purchase supports their charity foundation called Relief Haven which gives back to the local community as well as abroad to help children in Africa escape from child labor and gain education And self-reliance so I love a good give back and I know Lindsay does too So this was perfect for us and we absolutely love that they do this if you want to try them out Definitely do that go to bodyguards with a z.com slash coffee to protect your phone today That's bodyguards with a z at the end.com slash coffee to start protecting your valuable phone today so
Starting point is 00:15:07 I've been going to the movies like a couple of times In the past like what three or four weeks whatever and I had not gone to the movies in like years And it brings me to the next thing because the movie theater near or one of the movie theaters near me They actually filmed Gypsy Rose Blanchard like when she was in the theater it was at that theater So I always just like feel like I'm going to run into Gypsy Rose. They are also knowing that she's in prison She's bought it out Says this article this update says Gypsy Rose Blanchard marries ryan scott anderson amid prison sentence
Starting point is 00:15:46 Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a married woman on june 27th amid Blanchard's 10 year prison sentence She tied the knot with ryan scott anderson in missouri According to the couple's marriage license He is from louisiana. She was previously engaged to a man named kin who she met through the prison's penpal program They called off their engagement august 2019 I'm going to keep reading but I like me to go back to some of this Gypsies whose story was detailed on the hulu series. The act is currently serving a 10 year prison sentence after the 2015 murder of her mother didi blanchard
Starting point is 00:16:21 um Didi suffered from munch house munch house in syndrome by proxy and manipulated gypsy into believing that she was in a wheelchair wheelchair bound suffering from a series of chronic illnesses um She had pled guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced 10 years. Um She's happy in jail. You know This is gonna come across like probably not the greatest, but I'm just saying I
Starting point is 00:16:50 Not that I'm a murderer But like if someone had convinced me And manipulated me so bad. I've already said this what you're about to say. So don't feel bad To make me believe that I was wheelchair bound suffering from chronic illnesses that I didn't fucking have You're a dead woman. Also. She thought she was younger than she was Yeah, and she lost a lot of her teeth her voice never fully developed. There was a there's a ton of like I'm not I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I'm not I'm not saying that that's the So, I mean, I don't think I would have anyone stabbed my mother to death. But I mean, I understand this this
Starting point is 00:17:33 Particular situation I understand I'm like, I am going to sympathize with the killer on this I agree wait, so I just need to ask you what you think about this so Pen pal program in prison because you have talked about this many times before and like prison bay, you know Um fallen in love like how necessarily does that happen? And how does one get engaged while they're in prison? and then like what determines You know
Starting point is 00:18:05 Or I guess the better way to ask this is like what what causes them to call off an engagement While also in prison. Um, okay, so I just don't understand. Um, I well, I'm at prison bay who is not to be confused with the guy that was in jail um, he was in prison and um I met him through friends Um, and they were like, oh like, you know, so and so like you have to talk to him whatever blah, blah, blah That's how I met him. Um, I didn't go on any like website or anything
Starting point is 00:18:40 Um, and he would always call me his wife. I always say that he was going to give me my first daughter um, and all you know, just I and I ended up ending it okay, but Can you tell me how a relationship flourishes like that over just being pin pals What determines like that you're at the point of getting engaged while incarcerated I can't calling it off. I can't speak for everyone, but I would guess that I mean, there are some really loyal people in prison and I think that when they're
Starting point is 00:19:17 Behind bars for so long, you know, they look forward to getting out and they picture their life with this One person that they've really connected with Um, I'm not sure about calling it off um Prison bay and I we talked on the phone multiple times a day emailed multiple times a day Um, some some prisons have video chat Um, and so it's just like a long distance relationship really but what are you getting out of
Starting point is 00:19:44 This communication is it an emotional thing? Is it like emotional fulfillment? Um Are you Sympathizing with the situation that causes like more emotional fulfillment? I think it's almost like And I hate this saying because my mom said it to me once Um distance makes the heart grow fonder And so you're just longing for this person to get out. You're longing just like a long distance relationship You're longing to see this person. Um, there's like a build-up. There is
Starting point is 00:20:16 um I'm trying to describe it. I'm trying to It's like those who get it get it and those who don't don't. Um Yeah, um, I think you have to have a prison bay to get it. Yeah, you yeah, or a long distance relationship you to understand um, so something else interesting about Um gypsy rose is that they're The parole hearing. Um, it says gypsy's friends and family are
Starting point is 00:20:44 Support and supporters were anxiously waiting for the answer from the parole board after her first hearing if granted She would only have five more years if the parole board denied her request Um, she knew that she would be out in 2025 after her complete incidence was over Um, she had friends and family send in letters to be included in her parole file After a month after a month of waiting for an answer She finally learned that they granted her parole a source close to family revealed
Starting point is 00:21:13 She will be out in less than two years in late 2023 so I guess she's just like She's married honey. She is preparing to be A wife and for life on the outside Well, she I remember when she went in and she was She felt free. That was the freeest she's ever felt. So, um, in a way I'm kind of happy that she got married because I won't have to worry about gypsy like coming. Is that her real name? gypsy
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah, I think it is um Her coming out and you know, the system is not built to my cats are Is that your cat's breaking things? Yeah, they just pulled the screen out of my window. Okay. We love that um The system is not built to Rehabilitate criminals and set them up for success when they come out of those prison walls. So, um You know, had she not gotten married and not been in a relationship
Starting point is 00:22:12 I was going to because she doesn't have her mom So who was going to help her when she gets out of prison like she probably doesn't have a driver's license How would she get a job? You know things like that. So I'm kind of glad that she got married So she'll have somewhere hopefully to live someone to help her kind of adjust back into society I just hope whoever married her doesn't take advantage of Her lack of knowledge of how to exist in real world situations And really prison set her up for further failure. I mean in a way it was good because
Starting point is 00:22:48 She was able to to go in there and be Be alone and to really um See her life and be able to like sit in her thoughts and like what she's been through for so long But then also she lived such an abnormal life before this happened that it's almost like a Rehabilitation center of some kind or like mental health facility or something like that would have been a better fit I agree I I very very much agree with that. I think you know, they give that to murderers, but um
Starting point is 00:23:24 And I know that just gypsy participated in the planning but she didn't actually do it and Given the circumstances surrounding the murder itself and everything that she lived through up until that point I definitely think that you're right a facility like a mental facility Like an actual rehabilitation center would have been more beneficial um in Completely other news. Did you see I didn't weren't you the person that decided that we were going to cover alex murtall? I don't remember. Yeah, I don't know if I like made that decision. Did I I'm pretty sure you made that decision
Starting point is 00:23:58 And I was like, why are we doing this? Oh wait? It was christen. Just kidding. Um The fans asked and we delivered so I don't know what it is, but every time and it's all the time I see this man's face pop up on my facebook when I'm like scrolling and I'm just so repulsed by it and I'm not talking about like the way he looks or anything like that or judging his physical appearance, but He just creeps me out like majorly creeps me out gives me weirdo vibes
Starting point is 00:24:32 But he was indicted for the murders of his wife and his son Yep Who shocked? Nobody here. Not not on this end. I love how cnn goes disgraced South Carolina attorney alex murtall has been indicted for the 2021 murders of his wife and son
Starting point is 00:24:52 The once prominent now disbarred attorney was indicted thursday morning on two counts of murder and two counts of Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime according to the south carolina attorney general um It says maggie Sorry, apparently xfinity thought that they needed to pop up an ad Maggie murtall and youngest son paul were found shot to death On the family's property. I know that we talked about this, but for those of you who like didn't hear that episode um
Starting point is 00:25:23 And it said that murtall placed the 911 call reporting the shooting saying that he had just returned home and discovered their bodies Well, first off Like that to me is a red flag like no sir Um Murtall is a pillar of the south carolina legal community has denied involvement in the death saying he had been visiting his mother at the time um alex wants his family friends and everyone to know that he did not have anything to do with the murders of Maggie and paul. He loved them more than anything in the world um
Starting point is 00:25:52 and Yeah, i'm just I just want to know Okay, it's 2022 From probably I'm going to go back as far as 2010 between 2010 and 2022
Starting point is 00:26:09 Why are you still committing murders and thinking you're going to get away with it? Technology is too advanced. There's cameras everywhere They will literally pick up your car passing a gas station if they have surveillance The towers are going to ping your cell phone I'm not going down for someone and giving an alibi for somebody that I know committed a murder like What the fuck are we doing same? I'm literally telling on you. So basically this is a forewarning anyone who plans on murdering someone Literally don't involve me or think that I'm covering up your scam. Like it's just not happening um
Starting point is 00:26:45 Also back to the statement about technology and like how you're not going to get away with shit On the cnn article it was talking about the blood splatter as potential evidence And I think that like people when they do shit. They really just don't think about how it can be investigated and how much like knowledge is Like out there for people to be able to know like exactly what was going on It said the blood splatter could place murder on close contact with at least one of the victims When they were killed high velocity splatter is associated with the use of a particular weapon such as a rifle And it creates a specific blood pattern
Starting point is 00:27:22 Um, especially used at close range. Um In addition a phone belonging to paul mert always recovered on his body Containing video and audio of alex talking with his wife close to the time. She and paul were killed Like what the fuck? I don't understand. Like are you stupid or are you dumb? He was stupid and dumb. It says he was not seen on video, but he was heard speaking to her and that recording has a time stamp um Yeah, I'm just like And then just like his statement that he loved them and would like never do something like that. Well
Starting point is 00:28:02 I think this man was just like a complete con to be honest He's a whole con artist an entire con artist And just like look at his photo. Like can you see it? I can't get into the document You're like, no, I cannot see it. Like I'm gonna start blasting. I'm gonna start blasting off photos to you Of alex myrtle and you're gonna see how creeped out. I am every time I walk on facebook And it says south carolina judge rules against gag order requests in the alex myrtle trial it says that um
Starting point is 00:28:34 South carolina judge ruled against a gag order in the myrtle trial Murder trial prosecutors and defense attorney both made the request because they said information needs to be kept from the press To protect the integrity of the investigation, which you and I have talked about um, it says um Just talks about like him what charges and stuff he's facing but I do think that when cases like this are like so high profile So high profile and so heavily followed that sometimes the media
Starting point is 00:29:06 has such a pool And can distort so much information that I do think that keeping things hush hush and under wraps and like everything sealed until It's all over would be Highly beneficial in tons of cases I agree with you Although i'm still like nosy and still googling it Um speaking of photos that like people send
Starting point is 00:29:35 What the fuck were those cake photos that you sent me? Oh, um It was um A tiktok trend hold on it was a tiktok trend and you failed Um, but hold on let me play you. I I laughed so hard. I threw up Um, you threw up. Yeah, I had just eaten steak and potatoes from outback and I was laughing so hard That I threw up. So this is the tiktok. Um That it was the trend started. Okay. Okay. I'm gonna play it 11 I found this lady who does uh birthday cakes on tiktok and she customizes them. So thinking she going for your birthday like i'll buy it
Starting point is 00:30:14 Uh, but why my birthday is not until august? Yeah, but since she's a small business owner, I have to order in advance because I guess she's very busy But like the cakes are really good. Like they're very popular Look, I'm gonna send you some pictures and then he sent pictures of like fucked up cakes Those are fucking ugly I think i'm fine. I think i'll just i'll just get a cake from yogurland or something like that What are you talking about? They're actually really nice So I I did it to you and I did it to hobby
Starting point is 00:30:49 And for a hobby he was like hold on. I thought he would voice note me back, but he didn't so um I sent I said Hey, I was um thinking about Lincoln's birthday and I found this lady who does good cakes and he goes let me see So I sent him the cake and he goes What the fuck is that if he was turning one and he was gonna smash it And then this is me Stop, she's a small business owner. Tell me which one you like because I gotta put the order in now And he said she doesn't he doesn't even like any of that and I said
Starting point is 00:31:24 Stop laughing so hard. I'm throwing up. Please I can't wait. I'll try to do it to you So this is the message that Kristen and I got in the coffee combos group chat. Just mind you guys like Kill has been m.i.a. on that group chat and then all of a sudden we get this suspicious Text message like this audio message at 8 o 6 p.m. And it sounds like this All right, you guys I found this really awesome cake lady and I was thinking that we could do A cake for Lindsay's birthday or for coffee combos or something for content. So Let me know what you think
Starting point is 00:32:05 So I'm showing christen all of my dead plants on FaceTime When I get this and I said christen, did you open up the coffee combos group chat? What cake is keel talking about and was she supposed to send photos and forgot? so then I said ma'am christen about it. She had no idea what the fuck I was talking about I said ma'am. Were you sending us photos of this cake? And then I get the most busted pictures of cakes like the most horrible cakes I've ever seen ever And then this morning I responded and said kill what in the fuck are those?
Starting point is 00:32:43 It's just so funny because Why are you I don't Why am I I don't know I don't know what what goes through my head sometimes But I literally thank god I had a solo cup next to my bed because I literally had to throw up in it Ew You threw up in a solo cup. Yeah, I mean I threw it away, but it was next to my bed. I was laughing so hard I was just laying in bed. I don't have my kids. I was just chilling and um It just came up. You know what I think you have. I think you have acid reflux. Oh, I definitely have acid reflux
Starting point is 00:33:15 Like that's probably what it is. I guarantee you All right, you guys Lindsay and I are so excited because we are working with embark and I cannot tell you how awesome This is they allow pup parents to learn more about their dog's health insights and their breed with the highest rated dog DNA test on the market, which is amazing I have large breed dogs which sometimes can be predisposed to Hip dysplasia and other things like heart disease It was so cute too because I want to add that it updates just like a human DNA test Where it'll have like relatives of your dog, which I thought was so freaking cute

Starting point is 00:36:29 I just want to tell you that immediately when I started watching this I knew I was going to be invested after like five minutes for those of you have not seen it on netflix It's a three-parter. I think they're about an hour long apiece I'm so disturbed and alarmed um by this I don't know how This went on for so long. I don't know what's wrong with people
Starting point is 00:36:55 and I hate this person and I don't even know him I have never heard of um I've never heard of hunter more um he which uh when I was younger I wanted to be a scene kid so bad like I put pink in my hair I had bleach blonde hair with pink in my hair. I had the studded belts the super super tight jeans like You couldn't tell me shit. I was going to be a scene kid
Starting point is 00:37:22 And so I'm I guess I'm surprised that I had never heard of hunter more and I've never heard of this website um I hate his guts I also think that he's just like a douchebag like I don't even part of me didn't really want to do 30 minutes on it Because I don't want to even give him the like like He lives and thrives for people to hate him Yeah, it doesn't matter. It's like that mentality of I don't care if you hate me or if you love me. You're talking about me
Starting point is 00:37:52 I hate it So for those of you who have not watched it yet, um, this is about a guy named hunter more Um, he was born in 1986 He created a revenge porn website called as anyone up Which allowed users to post sexual and explicit photos of people online without their consent often Accompanyed by personal information such as like your name addresses Um, and like other social media accounts like links to like all of your social media He refused to take down pictures upon request
Starting point is 00:38:25 Um, he often referred to himself as a professional life-ruiner and compared himself to charles manson, which is like really alarming um, the website was up for 16 months and He stated several times that he was protected by the same laws that protect facebook He also paid a hacker to break into email accounts of victims and steal private photos to be able to post and i'm just like He was making upwards of $13,000 a month off of um Advertising and at the time of this
Starting point is 00:39:03 Going this happening. It was around 350,000 unique users per day Which today would translate to like 3.5 million so unique hits per day, so when people run websites for those of you guys who don't know um and um, I feel like we kind of are familiar with this because of Like influencing and and instagram and ads and stuff like that. So
Starting point is 00:39:32 The idea if you have a website is that you want to get traffic to your website and then the more traffic you have Companies will want to buy ads to advertise like you ever see those little pop-ups like lindsay just said Who just popped up on your? Uh xfinity xfinity just did an ad um, so things like that They would want to advertise on the site because so many people were going to the site And so he was able to the more unique users that you have daily the higher you can charge ads That pop up or that show in the corner or on the side
Starting point is 00:40:06 It he and he started the website because he he had his heart broken by a girl and he wanted to get revenge and so And he's not attractive whatsoever. And so it's really interesting that people really were obsessed with him so he said in the first couple minutes of the documentary Is anyone up started with me hating? This is a quote started with me hating some dumb bitch that broke my heart It took off and he said his friends
Starting point is 00:40:35 he said that um Basically he could make money off of titties and fucking people over And then brings us to butthole girl okay, so I have mixed feelings on this girl um because
Starting point is 00:40:53 I do think that um, I know somebody personally in my life that went through a divorce situation had a child taken to her from um provocative instagram photos posted online and only fans so you know to me
Starting point is 00:41:15 what you do in Your spare time or how you earn a living Maybe should not have an impact on your ability to Be a mother. Um, just because the child in danger obviously. Well, yeah, unless it's putting the child in danger however, um The butthole girl was a whole different was a whole different vibe that um, I just never heard of any of this like I don't know how I went during this time and didn't hear about any of this because I'm telling you like
Starting point is 00:41:49 I thought I was going to be the next famous scene kid No, I didn't think I was going to be famous, but I was like so I've never could you imagine if like your career started off of this Absolutely not like you trying to be seen and like cool and then you were like a victim of is anyone up um, so butthole girl, um her name was destiny benedict and she Was talking about in the documentary how much she wanted to be accepted and noticed by hunter and she was trying to find an exit plan from her mother's house and she just saw this as an opportunity
Starting point is 00:42:23 Um, she knew that if she made money off of this that she could pay rent, um help for her kids and Yeah, like if she was being posted on this website, which was so crazy So a lot of people being posted on this website that were wanting to become or like build businesses or whatever They were wanting to be posted on here because they knew they were going to be seen and discovered and so That was her mentality. She felt like being posted on the website would attract people to her webcams because she was doing I guess like porn webcams
Starting point is 00:42:57 and She basically was just willing to be a sellout on this site so that she could get business to her webcams, um What ended up happening to her was She ends up on their butthole girl Um screenshots of her facebook with her children on her cover photo ended up on the website and um
Starting point is 00:43:21 She wanted them taken off because they were her kids her minor children And she offered to take more pictures of things in her butt to bargain to get pictures of her kids off the site and That's how she became known as behole girl. She lost custody of her kids because of this um Was said that she wasn't worthy for you know to be around her kids. Um at that point she got super depressed started drinking At that time she then did a Skype with hunter as he promised to help her set up her porn site and It was just a disaster. I just went on her instagram. She doesn't have them the kids posted anywhere
Starting point is 00:44:01 um, but her her bio says that she is sex positive and She has CPTSD trauma survivor sex positive and social Social equity. I don't know if she means social equality or if she means social equity. Um, I'm not sure what that means Me neither to be honest. Maybe she just misspelled it. Do we think that's the case here? I think so. Okay Love that for her. Um, so then the this documentary also follows
Starting point is 00:44:31 this woman charlotte and kayla walls and that was like a big part of the documentary and this mom like really wanting Well ended up turning into her wanting to help All of these victims but because her daughter was a victim Um, she was saying that no mother wants to see her daughter's nude photos on the internet A photo that was taken in private Um, then ended up being posted for everyone to see due to hacking at first when I started watching this I was like There's no way that like all of these girls had never sent these nude photos
Starting point is 00:45:06 Like that's what I thought of you taking these and never I don't know I've taken Pictures when I feel pretty good about myself and never sent them. I've also sent nudes But not every nude that I've taken taken has gone to somebody Well, I mean, I do feel like it was a little downplayed, you know, like on this Taylor girl I I hate to say this, but I'm gonna I want to be transparent Um, at first I did not believe that these girls were hacked. Like I just didn't I didn't either I was like, there's no possible way like
Starting point is 00:45:36 This guy might be a big skis, but I don't think that he was hacking I think the fetus girl sent them this website became popular and The people they sent them to Knew that they could post them anonymously. There was no repercussions for it And that's what was going on. I was so suspect about it and it's crazy too because the way this website worked was that um You could literally ruin someone's life in a click. I think that's what they, you know, what yeah, like the tag lines
Starting point is 00:46:09 the tag line and There was ways for you to like be able to comment on this stuff on on private photos of people To me, I don't think that even if you've send a nude and like maybe people are gonna disagree with me on this but like If I send a nude to someone I feel like that's between me and the other person and not for them to become their property at that point I think the whole thing that he was saying was like he provided the Domain for people to do this, but that he he couldn't be held like criminally responsible
Starting point is 00:46:42 To me, that's just a loophole for creating crime for doing crimes. Like you're aiding in a bedding. Yeah, exactly um he When I say he hunter thought of himself as the king of revenge porn um was Not empathetic at all He made statements like I win. I always win. That's what happens. You're never going to be able to stop me
Starting point is 00:47:07 So this mom charlotte while she trying to get all the these photos removed of her daughter. Kayla um she literally just like would not stop and You know, I just feel like everybody needs a charlotte in their life like somebody that is just going to Never give up and I think this became like a justice project for her um She saw what happened to her daughter She saw what happened and was happening to other people and I think that she got so invested that she was willing to
Starting point is 00:47:39 go to whatever lengths to help these victims and even So much so that she was risking her own safety I agree. Um And the family the the following the cult like following isn't that what the what charles manson called his following the family? Oh, is that is it? So that was something that stuck out to me. Um I was comparing him to charles manson before it was said said in there. Um, but yeah
Starting point is 00:48:10 The family was scary because they she started getting emails saying like Getting threatening emails, you know that if she continued to do this, um Investigation for her daughter and her daughter's friend that they were going to come after her It's basically like I'm going to continue to do whatever I want to do at the expense of all of these people And if you cross me, I will kill you. Yep. That's terrifying This episode of coffee combos is brought to you by huggy special delivery diapers You guys know we have a lot in common and we have all boys. Starting point is 00:50:15 I just in general the whole the whole my thought process through the through the whole first episode is and I I don't want to come off abrasive or like um insensitive but like I do not understand how anyone would want attention from this man. I don't understand how anyone would date this man I do not understand like there's no attraction whatsoever. Um, but she says there was instant connection um
Starting point is 00:50:42 She met him at a party that he was throwing so there was like this immediate attraction Um words that she used to describe him was like ambitious. Um, but an extremely impatient person um, which I believe that he acted off of impulse and everything that he did just based off of The entire documentary. I think he's just like a super impulsive person. Um One thing that I gathered from this documentary if we didn't already know this after watching this you will feel so solid in this that
Starting point is 00:51:19 this man shows the world that the internet is permanent and Truly has the power to ruin your life and it makes me freaking hate the internet. Um, I also agree and He he was the basically the founder of like once it's on the like Lindsay said once it's on the internet It never goes away um, so the fbi actually started an investigation in 2012 after receiving evidence from charlotte Um, and his site was closed april 2012. It was sold to an anti bullying group, which I'd be curious to see. I didn't look it up um
Starting point is 00:51:55 He pleaded guilty in 2015 to felony charges for aggravated identity theft and aiding and abetting in the unauthorized access of a computer In 2015 more was sentenced to two years and six months in prison A $2,000 fine and a hundred and forty five dollars in restitution And then he was released from prison in may of 2017 um, he originally agreed to do the documentary and then And then changed his mind I mean, I think two years is bullshit for the shit that he did
Starting point is 00:52:31 Well, I agree like the amount of lives like and I don't want to say the amount of lives But truly like the amount of people that he affected. It doesn't matter if it's You know, however many people are one person what he did was just so incredibly wrong um, and I think two years is literally a slap in the face to these victims and truly a failure Failure when it comes to the system I agree
Starting point is 00:53:06 Um, I think he's like living under the radar now I don't know. Um, what type of under the radar is going on I just hope that like hunters never near me And I kind of was like a little bit afraid to talk about it because I was like, okay, this man is like a psychopath What if he comes after coffee combos podcast and like the kitty gang? He won't Like what put him back in jail?
Starting point is 00:53:31 We'll we'll get him arrested. We'll do a citizen's arrest But when I tell you like this documentary is true proof that the internet is a lawless world and you know, we have kind of where I have um, I can just speak personally experience this of Where people can just go and say and do whatever. I think we regularly refer to them as like keyboard cowboys Um, people can look up your address show up at your house do all of this stuff and like there is very little like little Things that you are a few things that you can do to protect yourself when it comes to the freaking internet
Starting point is 00:54:12 I just can't so Glamour magazine, I'm assuming or glamour.com did um, like an update And they included one of his recent tweets that says Quote look guys. I did my time behind behind bars living my life peacefully now. It's been a decade about what happened Some of you loves me. Most of you hates me if you want to if you want me to apologize Well, I wouldn't I don't owe anyone anything And it says that he actually sold his website. It wasn't like shut down. He sold it, which means he made even more money
Starting point is 00:54:48 Yeah, he sold it to that marines guy Right, and then that's when they turned it into James Mcgibney who then redirected the link to it and his anti-bullying um Wait, but did you see that he had done the um interview with dr. Drew? I did see that That's why I was like go dr. Drew on here Go on with your bad self calling this man out For real. I was so excited about it. I was like, yeah, there he is
Starting point is 00:55:19 He's gonna get called out but what about being so just manipulative and sneaky and conniving to literally employ someone to hack into women's emails
Starting point is 00:55:39 How did he even know who to that's what I'm saying because I did um What was charlotte's daughter's name? I can't Kayla Kayla know who he was like how would who or was the hacker just like Hacking at random like I'm just so confused. I'm like, how did the hacker just hack at random and find all of these girls with nude photos on their Email accounts, you know, that's what I'm saying. Like, how do you know who to hack who had what? I will also say that This documentary showed me that the FBI are slow but thorough
Starting point is 00:56:16 This that's a good point. That is a good point. You know, like I always wonder how the FBI determines like what cases they're gonna Like step foot in Well, I think that you know, they probably get tons and tons of tips that come through their doors every single day And then I think it ultimately comes down to you know how many victims are involved the monetary value um
Starting point is 00:56:42 If they think that they will be able to have enough evidence to be able to prove a case And you know that type of thing dealing with us attorney's office um, but truly I think that They just work very slow, but they work very thorough um, and I also found that it was interesting that the FBI wanted
Starting point is 00:57:05 Charlotte to basically not do her own investigation Alongside them. They wanted all that investigation shut down and to allow them to do their job So interesting And the site that hunter was planning the new site that he was planning. Did you talk about that? No, I didn't talk about that um was called hunter more dot tv and It was said that the concept was going to be the same um
Starting point is 00:57:31 It would just be a little bit different because there would be an address field and maps um And he had said if someone killed themselves over being on as anyone up. Do you know how much money I'd make like that's how sick He truly was and like Is how he true you can't tell me two years in prison to change this man No, he doesn't feel like he owes anyone an apology and I think I think that that is so foul and the person that you were talking about um um
Starting point is 00:58:00 Was james. He was a web entrepreneur and united states marine And he like his job was to basically take down internet bullies He was in cyber security um and had actually gotten a call from hunter about advertising on one of his site Advertising on his site. Um, is anyone up? this man james goes to the website and Said that he was appalled at what he found like it made him sick And that he was bullied severely as a child and wanted to be able to protect these women And so he just had one goal and that was to destroy
Starting point is 00:58:34 hunter more's life well sometimes you got to be a bully to Get back at a bully It's like you just got to outsmart the bully. Yeah. Yeah, you know, mm-hmm, which is just so crazy, but then um The hacker I think he almost got as much time as charlie I mean charlie the hacker almost got as much time as hunter
Starting point is 00:58:58 Well, they should have both gotten I think it was like 25 months or something like that Like five oh And what about this like I think it's a lifetime ban from social media Is that what you got from I saw that he I remember he could definitely got Banned from facebook, but he's I think he's still on twitter I'm like, why couldn't I do is you like so trolley? Oh god. I'm like, that's where he belongs is on twitter I will say the good thing that came out of this Was that charlie law has helped pass
Starting point is 00:59:29 Laws against an intimate image abuse and 48 american states Um, but what is appalling to me is there is still no United states federal law Against doing this So crazy like why would why would the feds not get involved like I just don't get it I'm upset. I'm upset. I need everybody that's listening to this To be upset with us and just be appalled I don't have any words
Starting point is 01:00:00 said I am I am out of words for the day. Well, so Um, can I ask you one more question before we go? Yes So I saw um on your instagram. I think it was that your cats were looking each other Yeah, they were like grooming each other and like what was that about? I don't know. I've never seen cats do that They're not even from the same litter But is that the cats and dogs do that if they're like siblings, but not? I don't know. I know nothing I need someone to tell us. I'm like, is that weird like were you thinking it was something weird going on like? Yeah, it was just like is this normal
Starting point is 01:00:39 Like are they making out like what is this and here comes christin Wait, are you on producer mode? Can anyone hear you? Got it. Okay. So christin christin is saying that It's it could be comfort could be dominance. It just depends and it's just something that Sometimes kittens and cats and dogs and puppies do Um, yeah, it was just interesting. I've never seen anything like it and um, I didn't know what was going on One of my followers messaged me yesterday and was like, hey lindy, um This cat just like showed up at my house and it was like all these pictures of this cat
Starting point is 01:01:13 And like do you want it? And so I know jackson had been telling me that will was gonna like maybe get a cat and I was like, well, how are you guys going to determine like who's the right cat? And he was like, I don't know dad said that we were going to go to pet smart And we were going to hold dela up to the cat window and eventually when we find one that like doesn't try to claw or Then we'll get that one So I text will and I'm like, hey, like there's this picture of this like cute kitten I know that jackson said that you guys were like possibly talking about getting the kitten So do you want this one? And he immediately shut me down. So I'm like, who's the liar will or jackson?
