All right. This starts from NBC news. House Republicans hit the brakes on town halls after blowback over Trump's cuts. House Republicans are becoming weary and wary of in-person town hall meetings after a number of lawmakers have faced hometown crowds angry about the Trump administration's push to slash government programs and staffing.

Party leaders suggested if lawmakers feel the need to hold such events, they do tell a town halls or at least vet. This part I thought was incredible or at least vet the attendees to avoid scenes that become viral clips. According to GOP sources a GOP aid said House Republican leaders are urging lawmakers to stop engaging in them all together Dude these fucking cowards. Yep, you go you run on all this shit You say, you know MAGA MAGA MAGA. We're gonna do this whole MAGA thing. Look at us go

We're gonna do it We're gonna do it and then you get in there and you start doing it. And then everybody's like, fucking, I didn't want this. Yeah, man. And now where are you? You're fucking hiding. and your name has to match. And that can really fuck over people who took the last name of their partner when they get married, right? So if you don't have a passport with that name on it, and some people don't, like a lot of people don't, they said, like in the millions, right? I think 60, I read the same thing, 69 million people

don't have the same name, and that doesn't include, that's just women, right? That doesn't include anybody else who changed their name because of other reasons. Any other reason. And then it also doesn't, yeah, and that can include trans people, include everybody, right? All these different people that get now self-selected out of the voting pool.

And this person asks a very pointed question at the person who's in their town hall. I think it was in Iowa or something like that. And they just had no answer. And immediately it was booze. It was all booze. As soon as they started talking, they started to be like, well, I trust President Trump.

And it was just like boo! Boo! Boo! Boo! I loved it. Look, the thing is like, if they gut all the services that the people, like the thing about a lot of these federal services

is that people like you and I were fortunate enough to engage less of these services than a lot of the people that are really at risk and at need. And those people tend to be in red states in greater numbers than in blue states. So that's just how the demographics play out. If you're in Kentucky, that could state as a poor state, that state needs access to more resources than Massachusetts, for instance, right? That's just a, that's just a fucking truth. That's an economic demographic truth. They're fucking their own people. They're fucking the people in their own party harder

than everybody else. Like, and these people at some point, they're all going to eat that shit and they all think they all of them, they're all gonna eat that shit. And they all think, they all of them, they've all been taught through all of this voting and all of this like campaigning, that no, we're gonna hurt the poor Browns. We're not gonna hurt the poor whites. You guys are safe.

Now you've gotta go into certain places, like especially if it's like a federal ID that they create somehow. Now what if they de-staff that thing?

Now I know that there's some state things that can pick up the slack, but what if it's a federal office that is handling this stuff? And I think, like, I think there's a lot of people in the country that are upset. I think there's a lot of people in the country that are, at this point, they're worried about what's going to happen. They've seen, you know, all you had to do was see what he was going to do, right? From the moment he took over, he started fucking things up. He started, you know, pulling out wires and fucking the whole thing up. Yeah, you know and and when he's doing that you're seeing You know prices rise you're seeing the way you know the markets starting to like teeter a little bit They're starting to do some like diving in certain places It's down all over and you're seeing a lot of people start to get real nervous. Oh, yeah

You know he Alienated Canada alienated Mexico He's turning around He's doing circles on Ukraine. I don't even know where he is on Ukraine at this point He's upside left. I have no idea at this point. He has spun around So many different ways where I'm just like at this point I'm like I couldn't tell you what's to happen tomorrow. Well, just ask Putin. Yeah.

That's whatever, if you want to know where he stands. Today, he was like, they asked him, you know, they asked him some questions in the way they, like a couple other people asked questions and, you know, like, I'm not sure. I think, you know, I think that he is going to do with whatever Putin wants, but maybe not. I have no idea. Yeah, well, I don't think he knows. I think from what I read, he wants Ukraine to sign over all of their mineral rights. All their mineral rights.

But doesn't want to provide any security guarantees. And he doesn't, and he wants like Russia to keep a lot of the stuff that they took already. Yeah. And you're just like, well, what the fuck? Sure. Yeah. Well, just sign over all your mineral rights and then you can't join NATO and then there'll be no security guarantees.

That stuff matters. That's going gonna be important. Stopping the gears, doing what you can

to get these things gummed up, they're making bad decisions, don't let them do it. Yeah, and I wanna say too about the Sanders piece. This is like, it's easy out there to feel helpless, to feel like nobody's doing anything, to feel like there's nothing we can do to stop it. 3,000 people showed up in Nebraska in February to a rally for a Senator that isn't even their Senator.

People are excited, people are motivated, people are out there working. There is not a lack of energy. Don't let people fool you into saying that there's no energy on the opposition. There is energy in opposition. There is something we can do. We can mobilize.

So if the courts are like, Hey man, you can't do that. We're at a place where they're, they just might do it anyway. And once that happens, there's nothing else. There's no democracy at that. That's it. Right. Yeah. And there was a save this week by Roberts.

Roberts, there was a, one judge had wanted to make sure that the federal aid payments went out. Yeah. So he's like, the federal aid payments got to go out. You can't just do that unilaterally. And Roberts was like, hold on, let's, let's, let's let the courts decide. You can't just make this happen. We're going to do it the other way around.

So the president gets his way until the court say no. Yeah. He flipped it around. Well, that tells you, I think you, everything you need to know about the other way around. There's nothing after that. Like we're out of other options after that. Like we've never tested it that way. That's a full on constitutional crisis. At that point, what happens?

And I don't think any, like from what I'm reading, like nobody knows what happens because up until now, it's like, oh, I lost in court. And then that's over. If you, you can appeal when you run out of appeals, you go up to the Supreme Court, whatever it is, you run out of appeals, like the courts are the ultimate arbiter.

But look at what happens if he says no. So let's say he says no. And he's like, no. And then you'd be like, okay, cool. Well, all the decisions that the Supreme Court made, we don't have to follow. At this point, I don't have to follow. Yeah, now it's anarchy.

Now I don't have to follow any of them. Now I don't have to follow any of them. So Illinois can just be like, yeah, there's no more guns. We're not allowing guns anymore. Whatever it is. You know, like whatever Supreme Court thing that they've made a decision on, they can be like, yeah, that's bullshit. We're just going to do it. And other states that even, you know, that have abortion or whatever, people could just

be like, yeah, I'm just going to do it. Like, fuck you. I'm just going to start an abortion clinic. What do you do? take me to court? It's like, you can't take me to court. Like, you know, they could arrest you, I guess, but they can't take you to court. Like, what are they gonna do?

So, when we give the president complete immunity, this is exactly what we should expect. Because like, the thing that holds us back from ignoring the court is that the cops show up. We don't have immunity, yeah, we don't have immunity. The cops show up and they put you in handcuffs and now I physically have to do it. That's what I was saying, states initially. It's like states, like what are you going to do?

You got to bring troops in then to make the state comply. I wonder, it would be complete anarchy. I would say he's probably going to do that. Do which? Do you think he'll be bound by the law or not? No, he won't be bound by the law. I think he's going to by the law or not? No, he won't be bound by the law. I think he's gonna, I think he's gonna tell the law not to, because look at how they handled the subpoena stuff

people have had too much kid gloves with changing things around, but this is just too much. It's way too much and it's gonna hurt, it's not just hurt people in our country, hurt people around the world. And I don't really think like, I mean, none of that is what we need. We need none of that. This person, the BBC woman 74 charged under abortion protest law in Glasgow.

A 74 year old woman was the first person arrested under Scotland's new law, banning protests outside abortion clinics. Awesome. She was charged near Glasgow hospital for breaching an exclusion zone while holding a sign that read, coercion is a crime here to talk only if you want. The abortion services safe access zones act took effect last year. Fucking good. Yeah. Good. We need that here, man. Yeah, we do. We won't get it. Bunch of fucking judgy fucks walking around with your signs, tormenting people who are making a medical decision.

Yep. You know? Doesn't include you. You're not involved in this fucking equation. You're not going to do anything to help that kid if it does get born. Yep. So go fuck yourself. Yeah.

It's just, that's not real protest either. Yeah. It's a shaming. Yeah. That's all it is. It's a, it's a public shaming of something that has no shame attached to it for sensible people. Absolutely. It's a fucking public shaming.

I'm glad they're doing it in fucking Scotland too. Me too, man. We import that shit over here. Good. Import it over here. Yeah, I think it's like 200 meters is their rule. Yeah. So like, yeah, all right, you wanna protest, protest.

But like, you cannot do it right in front of where somebody's trying to get fucking medical care. They, I mean, get the fuck out of here. Here in the States, they have to have these people who follow the women around with like umbrellas to like cover their face because people will take their picture. They're like following them around. They got these fucking, we have those, those megaphones, they scream at them. They're showing them pictures of stuff that isn't even an abortion. I know.

It's like fucking chicken kung pow or something like that. And they're just like, look at what you're gonna do in there. Like it's crazy. It's insane how much they attack these poor women. There's an abortion clinic right by the grocery store I used to go to. It's like in the same like plaza, there's like a Planned Parenthood.

And so then they do abortions there. I shouldn't call it an abortion clinic. There's a Planned Parenthood. They do a lot of things there. They do a lot of things there. I should not call it an abortion clinic. The only reason I was thinking of it that way is because there are frequently protesters outside of it. There are frequently protesters. And like every time I drive past, and they'll sit out there in the rain, they'll sit out there in the cold.

They'll sit out there all the time. And I'm always struck that like I do believe that these people are passionate about something they think. They have a real moral conviction around, right? And so, because they're sitting outside in the rain, you know, but sometimes you can have a passionate moral conviction and be fucking wrong. That's just a true fact. I mean, like if you're that passionate, go work at a foster care center. Yeah, man.

Like if you're that passionate about helping kids, there's plenty of kids out there that need help. They exist right now. There's a lot of ways to help those kids. Go do that work. But instead what they're doing is they're attacking pregnant people for just making a decision about their life. And oftentimes, 93% of the time,

it is a tiny clump of cells. It's not what they envision it to be. And we used to live across the street when I lived downtown with Sarah, we used to live across the street from a Planned Parenthood. And every, like it was every Saturday-ish around there for a couple hours, there would be people standing outside and you're in downtown Chicago, so people would be standing outside and you just hear a bunch of, fuck off, you know? Like that sort of thing.

Yeah, right, good, yeah. But most of the time, you know, I think the greatest thing to do is just pull up and be like, hey, can I get all your names? I'm gonna go inside and donate a new name right now. I just wanna get your names right, you know what I mean? Uh, that's the best way to do it. Just walk in and be like, yeah, how many are you?
