Hey guys, so I'm back with a quick video. Basically, I have finally flashed ice cream sandwich. I just got a little bit of time recently, so I've gone ahead and done that. and let me tell you this is the stock ROM with a stock kernel here as you're seeing and really is a whole lot faster it seems like the GPU acceleration across the board

has really been implemented properly on gingerbread was quite sparse and you know there's a little bit of stuttering so I don't know why but the GPU acceleration wasn't really done properly so you know as you saw previously this application was quite laggy on gingerbread sometimes but here it's actually quite fine on ice cream So I think that's the case of most of the applications now. They've really worked out quite a lot better on ice cream sandwich than gingerbread. And of course you've got the task manager where you can swipe things away and that makes things quite a lot easier than actually going and closing them.

Unlocking time is a lot faster as well. Some people were complaining about that. It took a little bit of time to unlock but now that's mostly fixed. And just to show you here, I am indeed on ice cream sandwich and it is everything stock. stock. I later stock flashed an aftermarket kernel actually just in case I wanted to full up I don't want to break my phone so I've installed speed mod kernel and that's actually worked out better than the stock one so it's even better than this what you're seeing now but yeah as you can see yeah completely fine absolutely loving it at the

moment also yeah in the task drop down menu you can also swipe away as you probably already know and a good thing about this for the people who like the UIs now you can make your widgets as big as you want so you know that's filling up half the screen and it doesn't affect anything at all so you know the GPU is fully working here and now yeah no lag whatsoever when you have huge widgets which is a major problem on gingerbread also yeah just just to freaking highlight how fast this thing is like yeah switching in between screens all the way yeah just no delays whatsoever so that's absolutely amazing, just no lag.

Everything's fixed, so basically what I'm trying to say is ice cream sandwich is absolutely great. I did go ahead and also flash Rocket ROM, but I didn't really like that. I might try that again, but I've gone back to the stock ROM with an aftermarket kernel. Also web browsing, that's improved a little bit now. Now we have better management, so now we can view the desktop site, much like on Google Chrome which yeah this is the stock browser but Google Chrome is can also do that from the start

the browsing experience is pretty much the same you know very smooth which is good no stuttering or lagging so you know it's just what you expect normally browsing experience is really good but as you know in Gingerbread sometimes the GPU acceleration randomly stop and it would get a bit choppy for no reason whatsoever but that seems to be gone now in ice cream sandwich so a lot of of fixes, a lot of changes. So if you haven't already flashed it, I recommend going ahead. But next time I will show you how to root your phone in Flash custom rob.
