Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everyone, Scott Ackerman here, and welcome to another bonus bang where we are re-releasing great episodes of Comedy Bang Bang out from behind the paywall. Now, this week's bonus bang is the latest in the series we're calling Mind Your Own Business, where we are featuring the entrepreneurs and small business owners that come on the show every once in a while to launch their products and services. We love them all. Now, this episode is called Coma Pants, and it guest stars Lucia Anello and Paul W. Downs. They were promoting at the time the premiere of the movie Rough Night, starring Scarlett Johansson, which they wrote together, and the film was also Lucia's directing debut. Now, these two went on to co-create the television show Hacks, which just ended its five-year run to much acclaim. And this is before that, though. And then we have Zeke Nicholson as Pants the Rapper, Carl Tart as MC Sugarbutt, both of them dropping rhymes and some things that didn't rhyme at all.
Starting point is 00:01:05 To be honest. And then lastly, is entrepreneur Carl Coaster, played by Lamar Woods. He shares some innovative ideas for roller coasters as well as how to stay relevant in the coaster game. Now, this episode was originally released on June 5th, 2017. as episode 490. Now, I want to tell you, we still have some great shows coming up on our 2026 ground beefing tour. We have our big homecoming L.A. show this Saturday, September 19th,

We're going to be back Monday with a new episode of Comedy Bang Bang, but until then, enjoy this bonus bang. When the tip of the chip slips into the dip, your fun radar goes blip and the location of the dip, welcome to Comedy Bang Bang. Hey, thank you to Dash Paradise for that wonderful
Starting point is 00:02:47 catchphrase submission. By the way, step up the catchphrase submissions. It seems like the same three guys. Dash Paradise is new, but it seems like the same three guys. do most of the heavy lifting in that. And I don't want to use, you know, the Voblex all the time. Welcome to the show for another week. And boy, last week we were balls deep in May and now we're just the tip in June. And first Monday, I believe we established last week that each Monday is two inches. So we're two inches in June. First, hey, dads and grad season, I am not going to complain about dads and grads this entire month. Have at it. Have fun, do your thing.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Whatever you want to do, dads and grads, it's your time. I'll hang back here. Scott Ackerman here, and I'm the host of Comedy Bang Bang. The show where we talk to interesting people. That's our catchphrase for the year. And this week, I know you know it, but it's no exception because we have two interesting people here who have never been on the show before. And I don't even know if they've been on any show before.
Starting point is 00:03:49 And that's a question that we'll certainly get to. They are in show business, so it leads me. me to believe they have been on a show, but, and looking at their credits, I believe they have. They are, let's see, two people who have worked on the television show Broad City in various capacities, writing, directing, and starring. I mean, I don't know if you would call it starring. I would. You would call it starring, really. I would call it starring.
Starting point is 00:04:16 How many episodes do you think you were on? On, well, my character is in every episode insofar as there is a world. in a universe Sure, so you're on Earth you don't just disappear when you're not on camera You know, the show if you read the wiki
Starting point is 00:04:31 or if you read, you know Which I do Daily, just see if there's any update Yeah, because it changes but it is about a personal trainer and his tired Jewish friends So technically technically part of every episode
Starting point is 00:04:44 I don't keep track, I don't count two or three per season I'd say 12 Yeah 12 12 episodes you think Yeah And he's clocking that his friends are Jewish. He has an opinion on that.
Starting point is 00:05:00 No opinion whatsoever. It is clocked. It's just a fact. Yes, yes, yes. I see. Again, it's the wiki. I'm reading from the wiki. So you're reading right now, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Yeah, reading off the phone, yeah. Can read, proven. They also have a new film coming out in theaters a week from this Friday. And they co-wrote it, I believe. Yes. Yes. Uh-huh. And one of them directed it.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I don't know why you don't co-direct. I mean, we'll get to that, certainly. But the other one actually also stars in it. And this film is about a man who, he's kind of a weakling who. Yeah, yeah, it's about a weak man and the strong women in his life. Yeah, they'll go to any length to protect. They run roughshod over him. And at the very, very end, I don't want to give away any spoilers.
Starting point is 00:05:45 But let's talk about the very, very end. Yeah, please, yeah. Let's just talk about the end of the movie. The movie is Rough Night, and it comes out in theaters a week from Friday. Please welcome Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs. Hello, guys. Hi. Hello.
Starting point is 00:06:20 the other day and I was like, I want to shorten this to Scarjo. Is that a weird kind of impulse? I think a lot of people have that impulse. Again, you're talking like this way. You got to turn it up, guys. You're the director, obviously. Yeah, I think a lot of people do that. I've heard, but she's never said this to us, but I think she doesn't like Scarjo.
Starting point is 00:06:40 She doesn't love it. She doesn't love Scarjo. I think she doesn't. Because of the scar aspect, like it's implying like she has scars all over the body? She wouldn't know what that is. She does not know what a scar is. She has no idea. heard of it. But no, I don't know. I think it's just because...
Starting point is 00:06:52 Is it disrespectful to a performer, or is it the most respect? Like, we all know you so well, we can shorten your name and everyone still knows you. I think if you're at that level, like a J-Lo, like a Scarjo, like a Jen Law, it's pretty good. Is it J-law? Not Gen-Law. Or Jen-Law, depending on... How close you're in and how close you are. Do you? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we have her, certainly, and I want to talk all about the experience working with her. We also have Julian Bell, friend of the show. We have Alana Glazer, not a friend of the show.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Enemy of the show. Well, yeah, she is an enemy of the show. An enemy of the show. She is our arch enemy. We have Kate McKinnon, friend of the television show, has certainly never been on the podcast. What's it certainly about? So, well, certainly, she is a friend of the television show. It does not do podcasts.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Does not do podcasts. And we also have Zoe Cravitz. Yes. And various other people, including Ty Borel, friend of the television show, not friend of the podcast. Again. Demi Moore, indifferent to both the television show and the podcast. So Rough Night, guys, is this a sequel to The Dark Night? Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:03 You know what? We wrote it that way. We did write it that way. I appreciate that you've seen that. Yeah, shot for chat. So which of the characters is because no one ever dawns a Batman suit? That's true. Well, no.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Well, this is an origin, origin, pre-origines. Wait, so this is before Batman begins. This is before the parents are killed. Spoiler alert for, you know, Bruce Wayne. Is the alternate title Batman still hasn't begun? You know what? I like that. Yeah, I think that's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:08:31 You know. The studio would make you change it. That's a thing. Studios. Oh, studios. You know. So let's talk about the horrible experience you had with the studio. No.
Starting point is 00:08:40 This is Sony, correct? It was with Sony. Sony. Columbia Pictures. It's a colloquium. What is the deal with Sony's new? You have a, you're making a time? To us.
Starting point is 00:08:48 To Sony. Sony. To Sony. Thank you for the budget. It's funny. What's the deal with Sony's new tagline? What does it? Be aware.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Be moved. Be moved. What is it? What is up with that? We only just saw for the first time. It's very weird watching your movie, which is, I don't want to give anything away, but a comedy. Yes. And please don't tell people.
Starting point is 00:09:09 We want to think it's a drama so that they're very pleasantly surprised by all the laughs. And by the way, the person I was watching it with kept saying, kept saying, okay, uh, let's stop it. I was like, I think there's probably, you know, scenes during the credits. And,
Starting point is 00:09:23 very smart man, yes. And of course, there was one. And she said, okay, let's stop it now. And I said,
Starting point is 00:09:27 I bet there's another one. And of course, there was, that's surprising. I just couldn't feel it. Because you got, when you shoot a comedy, you shoot so much stuff,
Starting point is 00:09:35 you want to get it all out there. You put it into the credits. But it's very weird watching a film of this tone and then seeing be moved come up right. I know. It's almost like at the very end. You really take a serious.
Starting point is 00:09:47 The bitter end. I did. Let's talk about Zoe Kravitz. Is it odd working with her every time you see her, are you just like, are you just like, this is the person that the song Flowers for Zoe by Lenny Kravitz is about. Yeah, yeah. That is something you have to try and put out of your mind. I called her flowers so many times her face.
Starting point is 00:10:10 I'm like, sorry, sorry, sorry, Zoe. And then she's like, are you talking about Jennifer Flowers? What are you? Yeah. Is Jennifer Flowers in this film? don't know who that is. Not a fan of the various Clinton scandals. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:10:22 We are actually. I am because I'm so hardcore team Clinton that I, anybody who's not, is Jennifer Flowers pro-Clinton? Are you a Bernie bro? No, I'm not a Bernie. I mean, you know, whatever. No, Jennifer Flowers was, oh, we don't even have to get into it. She was one of the, yeah. One of the Jacquescusers.
Starting point is 00:10:39 Get out of here. She's a jacuzer. So now you get, you have a lot of Glazer with whom you've worked. several episodes of Broad City. Let's talk about your background a little bit. Sure. Because this is an interesting way to start a career. And every career.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Every career is different. Is it not? I mean, when people say to you, I'm sure people say to you, hey, how do you break into show business? And when they say that, aren't they saying, hey, will you break me in a show business? Yeah, kind of. I've never read it that way, but that's actually true.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Wow, I'm going to react very differently. I'm not going to help you. Get out of my office. You guys, maybe you didn't start here, but you met at the UCB in New York. Correct. We did. We met in a level one improv class. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Very cool. How high up did you guys get? We got to the Thaeton level. We did six. You're clear now? Paul was on a few Harold teams. A few, you know. Which teams were you on?
Starting point is 00:11:37 What were the funny names? Hornado was the first, which I was on with some people you guys may know. And then Penthouse Riot. You guys remember Penthouse Riot? Never forget. Good time. Both of which have been retired. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:11:52 Some of them might still be performing on that team. And Lucha, you... I tapped out... I took probably like level five. I auditioned once or twice, didn't get on, and I was like, that's it. Y'all? I was like, I'm going to go make videos because I'm not getting any stage time, and I didn't,
Starting point is 00:12:09 you know, I'd put shows up that didn't get runs, and I was like, okay, bye. And she had a day job at the time with Abby and Alana. Yeah. Oh, and what day job is that? It was like a Groupon kind of a place called Life Booker. Which on the show, Ilana works at Deals, deals, deals, deals, which is based on their experience. Is it hard creating art that isn't based on true life? I used to think that you could, but now I don't know what anything is.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Honestly, it wouldn't even know. I would have no idea what anything. Everything truly is based on something real. Really? We haven't killed anyone. We haven't killed anyone. Right. What about your side gig as the webcam porn?
Starting point is 00:12:44 Oh, shit. Well, that actually, I feel like kind of happened to a writer on the show. Someone that worked at a Starbucks, he recognized from a porn. So I think that's kind of... It didn't really happen to a writer on the show. It wasn't from our life, but it was true to... But it's true to life. That happens, yes.
Starting point is 00:13:02 And you guys on that show Broad City people were earthlings? Yes, they are earthlings, all of them. Well, Amy Cedaris's character may not have been an earthling, but, you know. So you guys, you met in this level one improv class, and who else? And wasn't, was Alana in that class as well? No, she wasn't in that class. George Basil was in that class. You know George?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Oh, I don't. But I like Basil on my food. I love Basil. He's on crashing and wrecked and flaked and... Should be a friend of the show. Sounds like an awesome guy. He really is. He's an enemy though.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Yeah, okay. It's good to know. I like to know that. I wish there was a list in here of people that were... I keep them very close. They're going to be on the show very soon. That's actually what all these names are, right? Unfortunately, then they're going to be friends of the show.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Oh, okay. But I read some story about you met in class. and you were dressed very similarly. Oh, at a party. Oh, at UCB, though. And we were wearing like... So it was a work thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:54 We were wearing like the exact same thing. And what was that thing? Was it... Topless. No. Topless unitard but just pulled down. Yes, exactly. So there was a top.
Starting point is 00:14:05 You just chose not to wear. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The only way they'd remember was the same outfit. Same exact star and then a moon nipple ring. Which were hard to find at the time. Well, at the time it was like a little Kim. You know, it was like, it was a while ago. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Yeah. So, yeah, so we were both. But Abby was in class with both of us. Yes, we were both in different classes with her. So we just, like, knew them from, like, you know, classes and that's what it's all about. For the young people out there who are like, how do I get into this? It's like, go, go make friends with like-minded people, start making shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:34 That's exactly right. And then within, I mean, how long was it before you were working on a television show? A decade. In a decade. It was like a. No, it was actually like five, five years, six years. Well, we did web stuff with both. of the girls.
Starting point is 00:14:45 The World Wide Web. Yeah. The World Wide Web. My favorite channel, YouTube. And yeah, we did stuff with them back then. And one of those things that we did Time Traveling Bong then became a series on its very own. Yes. But that was, yeah, probably like four years before we were working in TV.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Yeah, four or five years. Something like that. That's great. That's fantastic. And that's what you do. That's what you do is you just create, you know. Who cares what comes of it? And who cares if there's a major motion picture from Sony whose new tagline is being.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Move. Be moved. Who cares if that's at the end of the rainbow? You know what I mean? And certainly it should be at the end of the rainbow if you're going to be a success in this business. But, you know, for a while, don't even worry about the success. After about three years or so, start worrying. Yeah, then you worry.
Starting point is 00:15:31 And if you're not, you know, making it on Herald teams certainly quit. Well, you don't have to quit. You were never asked to join in the first place. Yeah, there's no quitting. There's just stop trying. It's like going to a Forever 21 saying, I quit. Yeah, exactly. I just took their advice.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Didn't show up anymore. That's what it's about. So cut two, and let's do a smash cut two. Oh, what do you say? Great. A few years later, you have this film. You guys wrote it together. Did you write it for the parties involved, or did you write it with people in mind?
Starting point is 00:16:01 Or was it just like, I'm not even going to write genders in this thing. I'm not even going to write names. I'm going to write person one, person two. We wrote it kind of loosely based on actual friends of ours. Oh. It's like amalgamations of people we know or who like friends who are in the business who did not get cast as these people. No, friends from college who are not in the business or high school or whatever, just in our lives that. Because, you know, you saw the dang thing.
Starting point is 00:16:27 I certainly did. It's really, you know, kind of about what happens when you kind of lose touch with friends and you kind of reunite and what is that feeling like. And are there is there resentment? Is there inequality in those friendships and kind of exploring that? I like how you're talking about the themes, no one is really going to be sold on this film about this kind of thing. So I shouldn't be talking about it. It's about a bunch of women who kill a stripper.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Yes. It is. It is. I guess it is. All right. But no, we didn't write it really. We wrote it to like kickstart it,
Starting point is 00:17:00 maybe make it ourselves. We wrote it for, you know, we didn't know it was going to happen with it. You didn't know. You wrote it, and this is a term I'm going to use and not a lot of people are going to understand it, but you wrote it on spec.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Yes. Speculative. Is that what it stands for? I think. Probably speculation. Speculative, what I said. What you said. But what that means is you wrote it and you were just like,
Starting point is 00:17:23 we don't have a paycheck for this. We're living hand to mouth. We don't know how we're going to make ends meet. We don't know where rent is coming from, but we feel so passionately about this. We're going to write this. And certainly we hope to sell it for multi-millions of dollars. Well, that, I mean, we didn't sell it for multi-millions of dollars.
Starting point is 00:17:41 But certainly, I mean, when you add a, all of the, you know, residuals that you're going to get and the back end and all that kind of stuff. Oh, a billion. Easily. Yeah, a billion. Yeah. Huge. It's going to be huge.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Incredible. Incredible film. Do you hope at the end of next weekend after it comes out that you will be, Lucia, the top female director box office of all time, eclipsing Patty from Wonder Woman this last weekend? I mean, listen, I'm not a betting woman, but, uh. But it's a sure thing. For sure. For sure.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Patty, I'm coming for you. No, I'm just kidding. Well, it's a comedy. And just kidding. Wonder Woman is a drama. Very sad drama. It's very sad. I haven't seen it actually.
Starting point is 00:18:22 I don't know. It's very, very sad. Yeah. Is it? Wonder Woman dies within the first 10 minutes. No. And then it's a long funeral. This is a comedy.
Starting point is 00:18:30 This is a comedy podcast, isn't it? Every superhero comes and just talks about their experiences of Wonder Woman. That's actually like long eulogies from the other Marvel universe. That's even good. The Mirror Master comes. Sure, I'm a villain. I respected her. So let's talk about this movie Rough Night because this is a major experience for you guys.
Starting point is 00:18:53 You've never directed a film before, correct? Correct. And suddenly you're directing, I mean, what is the budge on this thing? 20. 20! I mean, that's Bucco Delores. That's up there. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah. Get some money. How many takes did you get to do generally? Five. About five? I'm going to six months. No, not sound a joke. I would say sometimes one, sometimes two.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Sometimes one or two, yeah. We did shoot it really quickly. Sometimes one or two, sometimes eight. Did you have to rely on the actors nailing it? Yes. And they did. Did they memorize their lines? Like good little girls?
Starting point is 00:19:24 They did. They all knew their lines. They were all very well. Or improvised great lines themselves. Yes. Really? So this is also improvised. That's interesting.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I wouldn't say it's an improvised. No, it's not. They improvised within the lines of the script. Certainly. Did little flourishes, little buttons made it their own. But the meat of the. sentences, the subjects, the predicates. The predicates for sure, yes.
Starting point is 00:19:46 They were written. They were scripted. They were scripted. There's a comma. Please pause, you know. And had you guys worked with any of the other people other than Alana before? Well, we knew Kate. We knew Kate from UCB.
Starting point is 00:19:59 And we did maybe a little bit of V. And we did like sketches with Kate. And then worked with Alana. Did not, had not met or worked with Jillian, Zoe, or Scarlet. Before. Mm-hmm. What about Ty? No.
Starting point is 00:20:11 We hadn't met him, but we're fans of him. Charming, lovely man. The best. So funny. Oh, my God. So game. He and Deme Moore play swinging neighbors. Yeah, you get to see a lot of bod, Ty God.
Starting point is 00:20:22 He's looking to speedo. He's very tan. He's very tan. Is he that tan in real life? I mean, I don't remember him being that tan. No, I believe he's for the part. He's very method. So he got tan.
Starting point is 00:20:33 He got tan. How did he get so suddenly tan? You know what? I don't want to, I won't ever betray an actor's secrets. Yeah. But he ended me. both came perfectly crisp. Do you require actors to tell you secrets before each take about their personal lives?
Starting point is 00:20:48 Yeah. Yeah, we do. We need to have collateral. Tell us something about Scarlet Johansson. Oh, a secret about Scarlet? Oh, a secret. Oh, a secret she told you about her life. Well, she told me that I am her favorite director she's ever worked with.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Wow. That's pretty good secret. I can't believe you let it out. Well, because she didn't say it. That's a good way. You could say that, and that could, that rumor could be Hollywood fact. I mean, that's how you do. You just say stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:09 That's exactly right. Let's say that that's true. The most incredible director she'd ever work with. So this is a very funny movie. The cast, they gel. You know what I mean? Do you think so, don't you think so? Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:21:22 A lot of these films you see, and it's like, oh, look at all these disparate people that were cast because of their looks and, you know, because of how much money they make at the box office. And you're like, these people would never be friends in a million years. And then you see something like this, and it's like, oh my God, am I watching a film? or is this real life and everyone's cut off around waist level? You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Truly. It's really like that. That is, that is right. You know, I know Scott sometimes joking around, but right now he's not. I'm not. No, that's true. I really was confused. They really, actually, I hope they release some of this, like, footage of them, like,
Starting point is 00:21:58 clapping and singing and dancing and doing bits because they really, it was hard to wrangle. I tell you what, they had a lot of fun together. They had a lot of fun. They'd be doing. But sometimes that's not so fun when you're making a film. Yeah, well. You know what I love. D, it was hard.
Starting point is 00:22:09 For us, it was great. Hey, Julie. Did you just keep it rolling? Were you like, just roll? No. Because data storage is... I'm a little hardcore. I'm a little hardcore.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Are you a cut no matter... Like, once you get to the end of the scene, no matter what? No, no, I go back to one, and I just have them do it right away. So you keep rolling. I keep rolling, but I'm not like, I have fun, guys. I'm like, rolling, go back to the beginning. Back to the beginning. Get it right this time.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Get it right this time and get off the set. Yeah. Yeah. No, I like to try to, if I can do all the takes without cutting once I do. That's what I like to do, but 80s hate that. They love to cut. It's like editors, yeah. It's like, editor.
Starting point is 00:22:48 God, I mean. If I could go one day without hearing from the goddamn editors, it's like, shut the fuck off. We shot some magic. Okay, we got it right. You're welcome. Your job to go snip, snip, snip, snip. Stop complaining. Stop complaining.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Get a standing desk. What do you hope? I mean, obviously this is going to be a big hit. I've been in the multiplexes out there across the globe. And I've seen the trailer for this many a time with various types of audiences. Old, young, black, white. Those are the four types of audiences. That's it.
Starting point is 00:23:30 They call it a four quadrant. So old, young, black, white. And everyone laughs themselves silly when they see some of the gags in this. We haven't actually seen. seen the trailer play in a theater. No. You haven't. You've got to get out more.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Well, we do, and that's what... We locked a movie two days ago. Yeah, that's true. Oh, really? So, wait, I've seen... I've seen the locked cut. Pretty much. I think I probably have.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Yeah. I saw it yesterday. Yes. Then probably. Then yes. They delivered a nice little iPad to my own. Oh, they did. Oh, that's fancy.
Starting point is 00:23:57 That's hot. That's very letterman. And I still have it, by the way. I don't have to give it back for a while. Are you kidding me? Buy some games. Keep it. Keep it.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Keep it. What if I gave it back to them all loaded up with like various apps? Yeah, that's great. Or just your own videos. Just yeah. I just made the in-app purchases. What do you, obviously this is going to be a huge hit. What is next though?
Starting point is 00:24:17 What is what is next? Because this is what I'm all about. Yeah, we're talking about this thing, but I'm like a DJ. I want to put on the next record. Oh, wow. I'm doing a Marvel movie. I'm going to lead of a Marvel movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Well, once it's written and they decide to cast me. Okay. But I'm ready for it. You know, I got tights ready. or you just have the tights? You know, I don't know. Are they going to write it to your tights? That's the thing, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I think it's all about your legs. You know, that's where they start, because they animate the comic and then they do the movie. Oh, so they actually have to make a comic first. Oh, I think so. So this is not an established Marvel superhero. No, that's the thing. Brand new.
Starting point is 00:24:52 They're all about originality now, you know, Marvel. Be moved. Yeah, so, there we go. So anyway. And do you have something on the Horizon, Lucia? Do you have a, I mean, you must have like a four-picture? coming off of this thing or something. I mean, like, look, a lot of times people say, gosh, do we trust this new director?
Starting point is 00:25:13 Obviously, she's not a new director because she's directed a lot of television episodes, but, you know, television isn't film, you know? And sure, we've widened TVs out to make them roughly the same dimensions as films now in order for us to not have to crop films when we show them on TNT. But at the same time, you know, it's so. so big when you're in a theater and can this person handle it? And then they get the completed version of the film and they say, you know what? Lucia nailed it. She nailed it. We got to give her more gigs. What is up with that? I don't have any other gigs right now. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:25:52 I will say by choice, Lucia is thinking about retiring. I have a little bit. She needs a vacation. I would love to join you. Yeah. We're going to Italy. We're going to Italy. She was born there and her grandmother lives here, so we're going to bring her to the movie. Oh, my goodness. So you're, uh, we're going to be a little bit of the movie. So will it be dubbed or sometimes? I believe it will be dubbed. Yeah. I love that.
Starting point is 00:26:09 We had to finish basically four international to dub it now. Higher actors do that. Did you also get to do the version where all of the curse words, you replace the curse words with other? We're doing that Tuesday. Yeah, next week. That's so fun. I can't wait. Because I'm going to do the voice for everybody.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Yeah. It's going to be like, you're flipping, you know. For the ill-fated Mr. Show movie, we did that and we just did nonsense words for. Oh, that's fun. That's fun. We made it totally not make sense. And then I saw it here locally on KC. O.P. And it had a good laugh.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Oh, good. Ah, very nice. Very nice. So, nothing yet, but I'm sure you're keeping everything close to the vest or, as, you know, Nolan would say close to the chest. I say close to the titties, because I'm legally obligated to.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Of course. Between her breasts. Deep between the breasts. Yeah, no, I, you know, I guess I don't feel like I'm necessarily one of these people that's going to be like, I'm going to have a movie every year. I'm going to ring this dry. I'm going to ride this wave. Like, I'm hoping. What if you were like Woody Allen,
Starting point is 00:27:04 where regularly every summer a new movie came out. That'd be great. Yeah, so I know, I don't know. When the muse strikes. Yeah, and honestly. We are working on a couple of things. Yes, we are working on a series answer.
Starting point is 00:27:15 We're working on a show. Of course I do. Working on something for Scarlett. Yes. Oh, really? For another movie with her. For another movie. Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Okay, okay. Let me guess what this could be. Oh. This is fun. Actually, this is good for pitching. Yeah, what is it? Tell me. Tell me.
Starting point is 00:27:29 What is the movie? She plays a crazy but still down-to-earth-related Am I right so far? Yes? Or no. I like that down to earth. Down to earth relatable. But she's still, she's got,
Starting point is 00:27:41 she's got her foibles. You know what I mean? She has a, she has a flaw. She has a fatal flaw. Yes. That kills her. Nope. No.
Starting point is 00:27:50 There's no death in the movie. No death. No death. Okay. We've done death is a thing. We've done death. Now we're all about life. Think PG-13.
Starting point is 00:27:57 PG-13. So you're going to write fuck into this script, but in a non-sexual way. Yeah, like frick. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We have a lot of that. We're going to do the, you know, Mr. Show movie. Wait, you're doing the Mr. Show movie?
Starting point is 00:28:10 Yeah. Yeah. Enjoy. I hope you have a better experience than I did. Well, this is great. Rough Night comes out, of course, a week from Friday, and I think this movie is going to go through the roof. It opens against Cars 3. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Is that correct? And, I mean, Cars 2. Didn't see Cars 2. Didn't see the first. No good. Didn't see Cars 1. I take the bus. Cars 1 is not great either, but Cars 2 is...
Starting point is 00:28:36 So I think, you know, a lot of times the success of a film depends on how the last one was. Correct. Not in terms of box office, but in terms of how good it was. So I think Cars 3 is going to tank. Really? Pun intended. Hey, that was good. And I think you guys are going to be number one for the week.
Starting point is 00:28:54 That's my prediction. Wow. That's very cool. Thank you. I would love that, but... I think comedy fans got to get out there, obviously. Yes. And, you know, they're so...
Starting point is 00:29:03 There's so few funny movies that come out these days, and, you know, they'll put $250 million behind some dumb robots, you know. Some idiot robots, not funny robots. Yeah, exactly. Like, how funny is Bumblebee? Again. From the Transformers. Yeah. How funny is that motherfucker?
Starting point is 00:29:22 You know what? I think he's dry. He's a little dry. He's a Jason Bateman. He's the Jason Bateman of the Transformers. Yeah, he's a straight man. So let's not put too much on that. He's so funny.
Starting point is 00:29:33 You're right. He's great. But I tell you what, Kate McKinnonan, funnier. Julian Bell funnier. Schrolethenson, funnier, truly. Honestly. Funnier than bumblebee? And we got all kinds of cool kids in it. Better looking to.
Starting point is 00:29:45 We got your Eric Ondes. That's where I draw the line. Zoe Kravitz is not better looking than bumblebee. Oh, now we got a fight going. Go out and see this. Please. Please. Please, sir.
Starting point is 00:29:59 And we're going to take a break right now, but you guys are going to stick around because we have some other interesting people. This is the show where we talk to interesting people. We love interesting people. Great. So we have some really interesting people coming up. We'll be right back with more Lucia. More Paul.
Starting point is 00:30:11 We'll be right back with more Comedy Bang Bang. We're back here. Lucia Ann Yello and Paul W. Downs. And was that 311 song about you? I don't know. Down? Oh, you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:28 Yeah, it kind of was. About all the times people listen to it? Downs. Yeah, exactly. I think so. Downs. Interesting. from Rough Night coming out a week from Friday in theaters near you,
Starting point is 00:30:40 unless you're some crazy weird hermit who lives out in the middle of the desert. And even then, probably. I think so. In Alaska. With sort of the way that the world is being paved over these days, they're taking paradise and turning it into a parking lot. That's exactly right. The parking lot of a joanie vibe.
Starting point is 00:30:57 You have a joanie vibe. Thank you so much. I've always thought that. Oh, you mean Janet. Janet vibe? Yes. from... No, Janet remade the song, I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Yes. Okay. Got a real side eye from Lachia. I just don't know. I didn't know where the joke was going. Janet Jackson. Oh. I didn't know she did a soft vocal, but she did that song.
Starting point is 00:31:15 No. Certainly. Well, she sampled it. Thank you. For what? I don't know. For what? Yeah, for what?
Starting point is 00:31:22 For fame? For money? No, no. No, no. On what song? Oh, on what song? Don't know what you got till you got. There we go.
Starting point is 00:31:28 And speaking of don't know what you got to do you got, we certainly are in that state of being right now, because we don't have any idea what our next guests are going to say until they actually say it. So this is very exciting to me and perhaps to you guys as well. They are entertainers and I believe they have something in common. They're both on the same label. Oh, label. That's either designer or record labels, so that can mean anything.
Starting point is 00:31:51 They're artists. We know that. They are artists of some sort. Please welcome Pants the Rapper and MC Sugar Bud. Hey. Get on up and a get on down. Sugar butt. in your town.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Pants the rapper? Wow. So, okay. Hi, guys. So nice to see you. What's that, Scott? How you doing? So pants, you must be pants because you sang Pants the rapper unless you're
Starting point is 00:32:17 MC Sugar Bud and you're singing about the person on your label. Nah, nah, I'm pants the rapper, you know what I'm saying? I'm chanced the rapper's cousin, but I only rhyme about pants. Oh, okay. How interesting. I love pants. Yeah, yeah. What's up, man?
Starting point is 00:32:32 I was selling my mix save downstairs and Paul Bob went on the way. I did. I did. And by the way, M.C. Sugar Butt. Yeah. Wait, you gave us a little sample of, that wasn't a sample. That was you actually doing it. Ahold me close.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Ahold me, dear. Sugar butt is over here. I'm sitting right here on your left, Scott. Sleep, take a nap on a cot. Wow, that is clearly... Are you asking sleep to take a nap? Or you're saying sleep, semicolon, take a nap on the cot. Send me colon, colon, cat's up.
Starting point is 00:33:05 In your butt, a sugar butt. Wow, that came back around. And inside. Yeah, interesting. Tiki-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-th. Mm-hmm. That was not about pants. That was pants to rapper.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Because we don't wear the same pants no more. I am wearing overalls. You are wearing jeans shorts. Ah, pants. Hmm. Interesting. Is that one of your songs? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:32 What is that called? Same pants. We don't wear the same pants. We don't wear the same pants. Yep. So now you are Chance the Rapper's cousin, you said? Yeah, but I'm older. Okay, well, cousins are sometimes younger, sometimes older.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Yeah, but I'm older. Okay, fine. Wiser. Wiser. Uh-huh. No, I didn't say that. I said I was older. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:51 You only sing about pants, and from what I've heard of your uvra so far, you sing parodies of your cousin's songs as well. That's right. Interesting. Did you first, though? Because that's the question. No, that's right. They did it.
Starting point is 00:34:02 No. No. He's not parodying you. No, no. I know a good thing when I see it. You know, I'm saying? So I was like, oh, chance.
Starting point is 00:34:09 I like what you're doing. I can do it my weight. Like with pants. I love pants. Pants to rapper. Okay. And Sugarbutt. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Your subject matter seems to be all over the map from colon cancer to who. Yes. You have some serious issues. I got no specific subject matter. Let me tell you about me, Scotty D. Been in a coma since 83. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:34:31 You've been in a coma since 1983? 1983. You see me, Sugar B. And when did you wake up? I woke up two weeks ago. A whole Santa Claus. Wow. How interesting.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Wow. How did you get into the coma? You see, I was at a Benny Henn televangelist concert. Wait, wait. You were at a Benny Hennie. Yeah. Televangelist concert? Wow.
Starting point is 00:35:04 And a woman who was slain in the spirit fell on me. I wasn't paying attention. I was eating a hot dog. Chomp chik-a-chong-chong. It's hard to pay attention, I guess, to a woman who gets the spirit. Do you mean you weren't paying attention to the concert itself either or just anything around you? No. I was paying attention to my meat in the bun.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Having some fun. A chomp, chomp, chomp-de-chomp. Eating it down, down my throat. Really? Huh. So a woman fell on you. Yes, she didn't. And that knocked you into a coma
Starting point is 00:35:33 Knocked me into a coma for two weeks Got out of that coma for three years Then got back in another coma from the same incident In 1986 Did you ever put out a record? I did. You don't remember MC Sugar Buck? I don't.
Starting point is 00:35:46 I don't either, yeah. It was called Sweetass. I remember that song. Good name. I remember that whole album. Yeah, really. They used to play in the Old Navy where I worked, you know, and it was great.
Starting point is 00:35:56 What was the title track off of that one? Sweet ass. Sweet ass. Sweet ass. Fish and bass. Oh, that girl, she walked by fast. Wow. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:36:07 It looks good. And you worked at an old Navy at the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's how I got into pants originally. So you're actually very much older than Chance the rapper. Yeah. Considering you were working in an old Navy in 1986. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I guess I'm a 50-year-old man. I never thought about it that way. Yeah. Wait, you never thought about being 50 by where you were working. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. You know, age is sort of a con. It's a transient concept in my mind.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Nothing but a number. It's nothing but a number. And like musically, I'm still pretty young. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. You look good. Thank you. I would have to say.
Starting point is 00:36:41 I would have never guessed 51. It was the old Navy that gave it away. What's your skincare? My skin care? Yeah. I rubbed jean shorts on my face. Oh, nice. See, there's always a unique.
Starting point is 00:36:50 It's always the unique thing. It's always the weirdest shit that keeps you all young. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It grinds off the old skin, and then I collect that old skin. I stir it with some corn starch to get it thicker, and then I put it back it. back on my face. Wow.
Starting point is 00:37:02 So it's almost like a microderm abrasion and then you use that as like a collagen boost. Exactly. Yeah. So do you end up having your old skin back on your face stuck to your new skin? I mean, at the end of the day, don't we all just have an old skin on our face? Wow. I never thought about that that way. You are a poet.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Yes, that's true. So you grew up being influenced by MC Sugarbud here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I actually was there the day that he went into his second coma. Oh. You were at the Benih Hand concert? I was at the Benihin concert. Wait, you were at the Benihin concert, the second?
Starting point is 00:37:30 Yeah. Come on. So you love this? Same woman or a different woman? Different woman. You said it was the same incident. Same incident. Oh, but a different person doing this.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Oh, I see. Because people catch the spirit all the time. That time, I was eating some nachos. Extra hot. Lapino's on top. Give me a cheese. Your wraps have gotten progressively worse. I fear you're going back in that coma.
Starting point is 00:37:55 That's the thing. But all the same cadence and all the same flow. Sure. The flow is the same. It's very consistent. That's what makes it you... Consistency. Sugar B.
Starting point is 00:38:06 A lot of your raps recently, too, have ended with you laughing. Yes. I like that, though. I like that, though. It's a symptom of the coma. Scott, can we tell you, we are here to promote. We just had a, we have a joint album that just came out. You guys have a joint album?
Starting point is 00:38:21 Yeah, yeah. MC Sugar Butt and Pants the rapper present coma pants. Coma pants. Yeah. So this is like a Watch the Throne kind of situation. Exactly, yeah. Two titans teaming up together. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:34 And you both have such disparate styles. Very disparate, yeah. Eat your vegetables screaming, shell. We're a coma pan, so your dick ain't out. That's right. Yeah, eat them down. Doing it with my boy, a Paul Downs. Also here, Lucia and Yellow.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Oh, what's up? Hello. So, wait, these guys, you rap about them? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We are big fans of Broad City. Oh, thank you, love it. Get on up. Get on down.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Eat your vegetables. drink your milk. That is a very good piece of advice. See, most rap in the 1980s was about being healthy and telling kids the right things to do. Do your homework, feed your dog. Why do you think that was? Why was rap in the early 80s so concerned with providing a positive public image? Because, you know, the neighborhoods weren't doing too good.
Starting point is 00:39:25 The neighborhoods weren't doing too good. You really stumbled on that one. That was great. You stumbled across it. What is the biggest difference, though, with rap today? What do you think about rap today? Now the neighborhoods are all great. So they don't have to rap to the kids no more.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Depending on what you ask. Well, the last two weeks you've been around, I mean, have you heard all the new stuff? Have you heard Drake? Have you heard, you know, future? What do you think about future? I mean, from someone in a coma, that must seem like gibberish to you.
Starting point is 00:39:52 I can't understand most of it. All I hear is them not telling the kids what to do. All they tell the kids now is, go on the internet, buy some clothes. There's a lot of clothing references. So you must like that. Yeah, yeah. There's a lot of, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Yeah. Pants? Ferragamo sliders, you know. Yeah. Yeah. What type of pants are your favorite types of pants? Ooh, I'm a big cargo pants kind of guy. That's a classic.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah. Yeah, I like to be able to hold a lot of stuff in my pockets, man. Not necessarily because of the line, but because of the functional. Right. Yeah, yeah. I'm a real utilitarian kind of guy. You know what I'm saying? I keep a ruler in there because you never know where you're going to be having to measure something.
Starting point is 00:40:29 How often? I mean, I know you never know, but how often does it come up? Pretty often, man. You know, the other day I was driving on the freeway and there was a tunnel and I drive a really big car. And I was like, am I going to fit through? I don't know. Let me measure. So I did. You stopped.
Starting point is 00:40:43 You stopped in the middle of the freeway. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, hold up. I got to measure. And I did. Because a lot of cars, they look at that sign, you know, there's not an exit next to it. Right. You know, it's just like, if you're not shorter than this, you're fucked.
Starting point is 00:40:56 But you actually stop. Can I be honest, too, every. Every time I see a tunnel, I'm worried that the coyote put it there and it's not real. Oh, yeah. You know, yeah. I understand that. It doesn't even cross my mind, but now it might. It might.
Starting point is 00:41:10 It might. Yeah. But yeah, so I like that. I also like bell bottoms. Oh, really? Yeah. So sort of from retro style. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:19 I like pants you can put them on quicker. If we're in the UK, they're calling them knickers. I see. Yeah. Okay. But only if you're in the UK. Only in the UK Only in the UK
Starting point is 00:41:30 Yeah What else? What's your favorite Kind of pants got? I don't know You know, I mean I like a nice docker A nice docker Yeah
Starting point is 00:41:38 Nice docker Okay What about you guys Corderoy Corderoy I love it I think for me it's a gene A light gene
Starting point is 00:41:45 A light gene Yeah I don't like a heavy You know Some denim is heavy I like a lighter Because I got I sweat I have you know Sure
Starting point is 00:41:51 I get some undercoat You are covered in sweat Right I'm beating Yeah it's bad It's yeah So you had acid wash kind of guy. Sure.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Yeah. The wash, yeah. Do you have anything about acid wash? Yeah, let's see. My favorite prestige drama is Bosch. Ooh, look at me. I'm wearing acid wash. I really like the basketball player Chris Bosch, but he can't play anymore because he got
Starting point is 00:42:13 blood clots. That's real. That is real. That is real. That's one thing I do like, though, is that your stuff is very, it's real. It's about what's going on today, you know what I'm saying? It's got some cultural. I mean, that didn't happen today, but it.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. But he still can't play today. Yeah, that's true. He had kind of an unceremonious exit from the lead. He did, yeah. It was just like he wanted to keep playing, he couldn't, and then it was over. Did he get blood clots in the middle of the game? He had multiple blood clots, and then they had to put him on blood thinners,
Starting point is 00:42:38 but that's problematic because then if you get hit, you bleed to death, basically. Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. You almost become hemophiliac. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was just over, and there was no, like, last game. It was just, that was it. Did they, like, hoist his jersey to the rafters with, like a... He's officially still signed with the Miami Heat,
Starting point is 00:42:55 much like my grandmother, me. Ariel the rapper. Wait, she was signed to the Miami Heat? Wow. Yeah, yeah. What did she do for the club, the organization?
Starting point is 00:43:02 He was a starting center in the early 70s. In the 70s, when she was 120 years old? It was a reverse Juana Man situation. I was about to reference Juana Man. Wow.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Juana Man, great film. Uh-huh. Love Juana Man. Can I ask, and I've asked about this on a previous episode. Why is it called Juana Man? Because you think it would be
Starting point is 00:43:21 like Juana play basketball? Because that's what the film was about. It was a guy who wanted to play basketball. It wasn't about a guy who won. wanted a man. Right. I think it was one of those.
Starting point is 00:43:29 He wanted to not be a man. Like, Joanna, uh, man. Oh, sure, sure. No, I understand how it came to be in the film. I just mean. You could have backed into it a different way. Do you want to play? Do you want to play basketball?
Starting point is 00:43:40 It makes more sense, you know? Yeah, I don't know. Eat your vegetables and screaming shout. What movie are y'all talking about? Oh, Juana Man, you're going to love it. Oh, you need to see Juana Man. You got it. Make that your first stop.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Yeah. Oh, there's a lot of movies that you missed. You miss Joanna Man. You missed You missed Back to the Future 2 and 3, but you saw number one. Good luck naming movies that are in the same lane as Juana Man.
Starting point is 00:44:04 White chicks. Okay, you missed Joana Man. You missed White Chicks. You missed a paddle. Ladys. You missed Ladybugs. Ladybugs you missed. Ladybugs you missed.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Pretty much. You missed Balabuse Moswana. Do you know there's a new generation of Wayans? How high. Who? Wait, wait. Oh, you wouldn't even know about the original Wains Brothers Just because you missed a Hollywood chuffles.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Each of vegetables are shouting, scheming. The only wayans I know is Keenan. Wait, so you did know about Keenan. You do know, how do you know Keenan? He was on an episode of Cheez in 1982. Is that true? Wow. When did a living color start?
Starting point is 00:44:42 That was 1988, I believe. 88? Luchia wrote for the reboot. I did. Oh, okay. Yeah. So there you are. So you're very comfortable right now.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Yeah. So you wouldn't have missed that. The only movie I know that ends with man. is the Soul Man with C. Thomas Howell. You know about Soul Man because that's right. That was around 1985. Great. You like that movie?
Starting point is 00:45:04 A lot of people think it was a little culturally insensitive. What? A white man. It's a black man. That's hilarious. Then you're going to love Juana Man. Oh, yeah. And white chicks.
Starting point is 00:45:14 And white chicks. They subverted that. They did a swap. Took it back. Guys, we need to take a break if that's okay. I'm so sorry, but we are going to come back. We have a really interesting guest coming up. An entrepreneur.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Oh, this is a business person. Oh, I love that. Okay, so we're going to, do you want to take us out to break with another one of your collaborative tunes? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hurricane and earthquake. We are going to take a break. You don't sit down fast, don't sit down slow.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Listen to your popcorn. Pop as it goes. Yeah, yeah, eat some steak. Hey, guess what? We're going to take a break. Yeah, tiki, tic-tik, clank, clank. You are listening to Comedy Bang, Bag. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 00:45:53 That might be the new theme song. That was great. Dick a dang. Were you recording? Yeah. All right, we'll be right back with more Comedy Bang Bang after this.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Three, two, one. Comedy Bang, Bang, we're back here. We have Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs from Rough Night. Coming out a week from Friday, Scarla Johansson, her glorious return to comedy.
Starting point is 00:46:18 I'm trying to remember the last comedy she did, actually. I mean, technically, I guess, Hail Caesar. That's right. That's a comedy. I mean, but the Coen brothers, and please, you have to agree with me
Starting point is 00:46:29 They straddle the line between so many of their scenes. I'm like, is this funny? I'm uncomfortable. Should I be laughing? It's sort of violent, but I'm laughing at it. Is this right? And I get so upset, I leave the theater. I hear that.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Oh, you leave? Yeah. Okay. I agree. I agree with you. I don't last two minutes in any movie. I have to agree, so I do. She was also in Ghost World.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Scoop. Yep. And you know, Nanny Diaries? Sure. I forget she was in Scooby-Doo. Vicki Christina Barcelona. Vicki Christina Barcelona. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:58 That's funny is it. Yeah. We also have, of course, Pants the Rapper and MC Sugarbutt here, or DJ Sugar But. MC Sugar But. MC Sugar But. MC Sugar But. Mm-hmm. Ban.
Starting point is 00:47:08 It was a misspelling. And we have another guest on the show who's never been on the show before. And I always love meeting new people. I don't know how you guys feel about it. I absolutely love it. One of my favorite things. Yeah. So I love the shaking hands aspect of it.
Starting point is 00:47:21 You know, getting that close to another human being, it's like, when you meet someone, it's like, I'm going to force you to touch me. Yeah. Yeah. Have you ever do that thing where you accidentally, and I think we did this? You get like a half a hand? You do like Princess Diana by accident? Let me just. Yeah, they're shaking hands.
Starting point is 00:47:37 That one was firm. Eat your vegetables. Watch a band. Look, we're all eating our vegetables. You don't have to admonish us to eat our vegetables. There's vegetarians in the room, yeah. Yeah. He's an entrepreneur, and I'm excited to hear about what his business is.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Please welcome Carl Coaster. Hello, hello. How's everybody doing? How are you guys doing? We're doing great. Doing great. Yes, it's good to be here. How are you?
Starting point is 00:48:01 I'm all right. How old are you? You have a very old voice. I am a 67 years old. Sixty-seven. Another person was great skin. So you're from the previous generation to these two. Yes, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:48:12 They actually call me Carl the coaster. Carl the coaster. Carl the coaster. Is your actual last name coaster? No, no. Oh, but they gave me that name because I sell roller coasters. Oh, I thought people put things on you. No, I'm going to go ahead.
Starting point is 00:48:28 People don't put wet drinks on you? Yeah. No, I love wet drinks. If someone were to put a wet drink on you, would that be okay? Or would you prefer someone not do that? If it's on a roller coaster, it would be fun because I can love to see the centrifugal force work. It's magic. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Can I ask you your question? You said you sell roller coasters? Well, I design them as well, but I need to sell them to. So, wait, you designed them. Exactly. And then it goes into the selling stage. Then you're a salesman after that. Yeah, so I studied engineering.
Starting point is 00:48:58 for quite some time and I didn't finish my degree, but I do... How long? When you say quite some time, how long do you mean? Well, it was like three and a half years. I almost finished the four-year degree. Yeah. Where was that? What school?
Starting point is 00:49:13 Tech, Georgia. Tech, Georgia. Tech Georgia. Tech Georgia. Tech, Georgia. No. No. That's like UPenn or...
Starting point is 00:49:20 Right, yeah. So when you say, oh, I went to Georgia Tech, but you're putting a comma after Georgia to people. Does it fool people or? I hope not. Oh, you want to be real about it. You're proud of Tech Georgia. I'm very proud.
Starting point is 00:49:33 I'm very proud. I mean, I didn't finish, but I did learn a lot to help me build these coasters. My first coast. You build them too? Well, I design them. Well, you design and sell them. I'm just doing. Well, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:49:46 Design them and sell them and then they build them for me. Oh, right, right, right. So you sell the plans. Right. So my very first coaster is called the Tumble, weed and it was kind of slow, but it kind of like a tumbleweed. It was slow. Did you do loop-de-lops like a tumbleweed?
Starting point is 00:50:04 Yes, yes. It was a loop-de-loop coaster, I think. I like a slow coaster, I got to say. I don't mind a slow coaster. Yeah. I don't need these speed coaster. How fast technically does it have to go in order to complete a loop-de-loop, though, because it has to go relatively fast.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Right, right, exactly. That's a good point. Thank you. So basically, what it has to be, it has to go fast enough to be, probably about, 66 miles per hour. But because it's the tumble coaster, we wanted to slow it down. So what it happens, it goes fast,
Starting point is 00:50:34 and then when you loop, it slows down. It slows down during the loop. Isn't that dangerous for people to fall out? Yes, very terrifying, actually. But I actually am in quite some trouble. Some of my coasts are, I'm actually trying to get back in the game, which is why I'm here to get back in the coaster industry.
Starting point is 00:50:51 You've been out for a while? Yes, yes. My last coaster, the jackknife, somebody's arms got chopped off. Oh. That was you. I read about that, the jackknife. That was rough.
Starting point is 00:51:02 What exactly happened on the jackknife? So basically it's a coaster that's shaped like a knife. Let me picture this. Okay, because knives are long. They have a handle and then a sort of protective part of the handle so that you don't just slip and cut yourself on the knife part of it. So that sticks out a little bit. Was that in the design?
Starting point is 00:51:25 It's out when we make, carve in the handle, so when you're inside, you're like inside the handle part. You're inside the handle part. Oh, okay. Jackknife. That makes sense to everybody. I want to make sure there's a clear picture of the bullshit. It makes total sense. So there's a blade.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Scott A. D is right over here. Thank you. Scott D. All right. Scott Darmstruck? Well, my middle name is David. He must know that. My bad.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Yeah. Shut your ass up. Wow. That's a big fan. Sugar butt. Ooh, you like me? Are you like me? Well, eat your vegetables.
Starting point is 00:51:58 He doesn't have to eat his vegetables. I love vegetables. You got to counteract the sugar. You know, when you eat with sugar. Yes. So you're in the handle of the knife, and then you travel down the knife part. Right, right. So what happened, it was going and it going too fast, and then somebody points the button
Starting point is 00:52:17 and another track goes at the same time. They clashed, and then somebody's arms ripped right off. Ripped right off. It was a pediatric surgeon, wasn't it? Wasn't that the sad part of it? If I remember the story, the person who lost his arms. I didn't know. You didn't get into it.
Starting point is 00:52:32 You didn't want to think about the victim. I'm telling me. I was a pediatric neurologist. And so he did a lot of surgeries. How many people rode this coaster before this happened? At least 30,000 a year. 30,000 a year. So that's how many would go on it?
Starting point is 00:52:51 How many years was it open? That was about four or five years. Okay, so, I mean, as far as track records go, you know what I mean? You know what I mean? That's pretty good. You know what I mean? You know, yeah. One incident. Let me back in, huh? Can I answer you question?
Starting point is 00:53:05 Do you have any pants requirements for the people wearing your coasters? Well, ultimately it's up to the theme park. I myself. Some are clothing optional. There are some clothing on. It depends, you know, if it's a water coaster, you might want to wear some trunks. Sure. Do you design water coasters?
Starting point is 00:53:24 Oh, yes. I had another incident, actually. There was a roller coaster, and this wasn't my fault. They cleaned it too well. It actually... Cleaned it too well. That's a thing. Yeah, you've got to leave it a little dirty.
Starting point is 00:53:37 A little bit of a track. A little rust. A little rust. You got to have a little bit of grip. Yeah, so they, it slipped off, but landed in the Typhoon Lagoon. So they actually drowned. They didn't, the coaster didn't hurt. Oh, they were strapped in.
Starting point is 00:53:49 You didn't design an actual water coaster. Just someone slipped off your land-based coaster And flew into a Typhoon Lagoon that was adjacent Call it what you will I'm calling it a land coaster Back up, give me some room Everybody died in Typhoon Lagoon Are you asking us to back up or did you just want to
Starting point is 00:54:07 No, stay close Scotty D, eat your carrots Eat your peas Yeah, my piece, I guess my kids eat their vegetables You see? You have kids? You see, that's what I'm here for You know I heard about a theme park that the clothing options were you have to wear a unitaried but pull it down to your waist.
Starting point is 00:54:23 That's right. Read about it in the Encyclopedia. You've got to cover any orifice, but breasts could be exposed to it. So even Mow's nose, nose, and ears have to be covered? You do have to wear surgical masks.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Yeah, like a SARS mask. It's awesome. Yeah, a lot of people have put a lot of rules on the coaster. My intention was never that. I personally believe coasters are the lubricant that brings people together.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Oh my God. The great late great Andrew Tarver, who's a German physicist. He said, everyone is equal on a coaster. That's true. And he was talking about the wet drink holder, though, right? Excuse me? He wasn't talking about a roller coaster. Hey, he's getting very upset here.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Carl is getting very, very upset with you here. Don't mess with me. Whoa. Respect your elders, please. He's barely older than me. I'm 51. Yeah, but he's 67. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Son. He could be your father. Son. Let me tell you something. I'm not going to get mad at you, because all I know it takes is a ride. Me and you on the Goliath. On the Goliath riding together. What was the Goliath like?
Starting point is 00:55:36 The Goliath is a big, tall coaster. One of the largest costers in the world. Well, yeah, the name, Goliath is a very tall. Just like David and Goliath from the Bible. I know about that. I've learned that Benin-Hinn. Yeah. Wait, they got to David and Goliath before you were knocked out?
Starting point is 00:55:53 Yep. Well, that's good. That's Old Testament. You know what we should do, Paul Downs, we should make a David coaster and put it next to Goliath. Love it. And it would be really, really tiny. You know, for kids, for kids, parents can. I like that.
Starting point is 00:56:06 David and Goliath. Yeah. So you're trying to get back in the game here. Is the Goliath still operational? The Goliath is, but it's not popular anymore. People don't ride it. I got a pitch. It's a wooden.
Starting point is 00:56:17 They don't like the wooden coasters anymore. I know, it's true. Those were all the rage back in my day. Yes, right, brother. We got a ride together. We got to ride together. We got to ride together. Each the vegetables and cry together.
Starting point is 00:56:31 I mean, I don't think I like any of those things. How many of the coasters that you designed and sold are actually operational and still working? Well, I'd say about one. Oh. The Goliath? No, well, not clued in the Goliath, so. Oh, okay. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:56:49 I ask you how many... Other than the Goliath. There's an issue with the Goliath because I designed it, but I don't get credit for it. Oh, that's not fair. First of all, it's hard being one of the only black roller coaster designers out there. That's right. How many black roller coaster designers are there? You're looking at them.
Starting point is 00:57:07 You're looking at them. I'm looking at you, though. Oh, it's you. Oh. I'm black. I'm the only black roller coaster designer. I guess I didn't see that. You have an interesting coloring.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Part of me thinks you might be white chicken us right now. Or soul man in us. White chicken? I guess reverse white chicken. Yikes, that's dangerous. That's dangerous. That movie wouldn't be made. It would be a chicken.
Starting point is 00:57:35 Yeah, a woman dressed in a chicken. Are you white chicken us? It's a white, it's a black chicken that's dressed up as a white. Are you white chicken us or soul man in us? I thought you were saying like a guy who eats chicken and he's been just eating a human. That's cannibal. Which are you? Are you a black person dressed up as a white man or a white man dressed up as a black man?
Starting point is 00:57:55 I am a historical figure named Carl Costa. You're historical. Wow. I guess we all are when you really think about it. Hopefully. Yeah. So you want to get back in the game. What are some of your new ideas?
Starting point is 00:58:07 Okay. So I got a one. It's called the mouse trap. It's like a mouse roller coaster. You're in a mouse. You're in a mouse. You're in a mouse. You have to get into a mouse costume?
Starting point is 00:58:15 The cars. The cars. The cards. Hold Downs is with me? I got it. He's on the ride. He's on the ride. I love it. I'm on the ride. Close your eyes. I'm going to take you on a ride.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Close your eyes. So you guys are both experiencing the lubricant. Right. I can feel it. Close your eyes. I'll tell you this. It's a mouse. You're in the mouse.
Starting point is 00:58:32 And you're going, it's like you're going through a house. You're like, the whole coaster is a house. And you're going through it. You're in the living room. Through a hole. Through a hole. Yeah. And then the cat's coming.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Hold on. A big cat's coming behind you. I love this. Yeah. Then you're going down, whoo. You're going down, woo, and that's the end? Well, you know, I don't want to spoil it. Oh, go ahead and spoil it.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Is it a hologram also? So then, oh, get this. After a few dips, you're going fast. Acceleration, faster, faster, where you're going. Giant mousetrap. Whoa. Oh, shit. Whoa, are we going to stop?
Starting point is 00:59:13 If we get there, they're going to kill us. And then you get to the end, and then boom, the mousetrap goes down. The ride's over. Can I... So you die, I mean. So that, yeah. Thinking about your history, is it really wise of you to put a giant mouse trap springing down on the, on the riders? I mean, it seems a little dangerous, you know?
Starting point is 00:59:32 Why not, why not do a happier, the mouse gets away, and at the end, here's some cheese. I like a cheese. Cheese land, you know? I understand. I understand. That would be the right thing to do, but I have to do what's in my heart. And what I feel would be fun for the kids. Right. Danger because they like danger.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Can I ask you a question? Have you been on the Harry Potter ride? Harry Potter. I know Harry Potter. Wait, how do you know Harry Potter? Harry Potter Jr. from the movie Troll. No. I think that's a different...
Starting point is 01:00:04 Harry Conno. You wouldn't even know Harry Connick Jr. Is that the guy from toy soldiers, the black guy? No. I'm picking up Harry. Harry. Harry Jr., he was a child in the movie Troll. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:14 So you know Harry. There's been a different Harry Potter since you. What? Yeah. Oh, say it ain't school, Saddie. More iconic. Say it ain't scow. That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Say it ain't go. I always liked that about your wraps. Is that sometimes you throw a letter to the previous word, just to see, you know what I mean? Say it ain't scos, saddie, D. That's right. That's right. But following up with what Luchie asks, have you been on the Harry Potter, right? I'm not a fan of Universal Studios.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Have you been on any other roller coaster? Well, yeah, I've been to Six Flags. I've been on all over. And you've gone on the actual... The Batman, yeah. You went on Batman. Batman's good. Let me tell you, what's the other one?
Starting point is 01:00:56 Superman? That's the other one there. That was a good poll. I don't like... Those aren't posters. Those don't need physics. It's a lot of virtual reality. It just makes you feel like you're in a coaster, but you're not.
Starting point is 01:01:12 But you want to... Those are like fake coasters. Are they sort of infringing on what you do? real scientists like me, real physicists. Can I ask what your favorite, what's your favorite physics equation as related to coasters? Great question. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Question pants. I, what I would say, the obvious answer is, that's so obvious you're having a lot of trouble. Because my guess is that it would have to do with, like, let's see what I remember. I got a phone call. Wait, do you need to take a go ahead and take the phone call? You know you're going to deal with... Go ahead and take it. Go ahead and take it.
Starting point is 01:01:49 With Knott's Berry Farm. Nottsbury Farm. Oh, go ahead and take it. We'll hear the other side of this phone. This might be about a coaster pitch. Yeah, go ahead. Hi. Hello.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Hi. Is this, uh, is this Coast, uh, Mr. Coaster? Uh, yes, ghosted in the flesh, coaster and coaster. Yeah, hi. Uh, listen, this is Bob from Knothberry Farm. Uh, we're going to have to go ahead and reject your pitch sadly. So we're not going to be able to put it up here. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:15 What is this? Natsby? Come on. We had a deal. Yeah, I'm sure. We had a deal on the table. I told you I was back. This isn't the last you're here of Coaster, man.
Starting point is 01:02:24 Come on. What? You don't do this to me. I'm Coaster. I'm Carl Coaster Johnson. You know me. Johnson? You know me.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Okay. I'm Carl Coaster Johnson. God damn it. Just hung up on him. I'm sorry. You hung up on him. Why are you saying hello? Did that not go well?
Starting point is 01:02:42 What happened? The guy at Nosberry Farm seemed upset that you hung up on him. Uh, man. First of all, your name is Johnson? Yeah, we have not explored that. Can I? Carl, the Costa Johnson. Come on.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Oh, okay. Okay, secondly, you said, you said you had a deal on the table. I told you I was back. That was the whole deal? Was just you told him that you were back? I went down to Knisbury Farm. I dropped my kids off. Told him go play around.
Starting point is 01:03:08 Did you tell me eat the vegetables? Oh. Take a look. I did, but. They're probably eating their vegetables. You know, sugar. You know, you know, we need to get. together because these theme parts, they do not have vegetables.
Starting point is 01:03:19 By the way, how old are your kids when you say dropping them off? They're like in their 50s? Right, one is 47, he has 30 and 9. But what is his intellectual age? What do you mean? Well, he's not developmentally disabled. Is he developmentally disabled or no? My kids?
Starting point is 01:03:37 Yes. No, they're normal. No, we don't like to say, we don't like to say, what is normal? We don't know. Developmentally disabled is not. Make it easy. Drink the milk from the cow.
Starting point is 01:03:48 What? Wow. Drink the milk from the cow. Can I ask you question? You know, I think maybe why your pitch is falling flat is it doesn't have any music attached to it. Oh, this is a good idea. So maybe meat and sugar butt we could do a little, you know, something, something on the ones and twos for the mouse trap. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Here, let's hear this. Here, maybe we could supply some sort of, I don't know, a beat of some sort. Sure. All right, here we go. We could do the a cappella. Yeah, here we can. Clap your hands, everybody. And everybody clap your hands.
Starting point is 01:04:18 If you want to hear about the mouse trap, everybody say, you can. You can. You can. Okay, yeah, we in the mouse trap. Tika dan, tica, dada. Oh, yeah, I'm in my little mouse-shaped car. It's zooming fast and it's going far. Past the cat, past the dog.
Starting point is 01:04:37 Oh, shit, it's crazy, and I'm up in a bog, because it goes out and it's in a swamp. Yeah. Nothing rhymes a swamp. It's no swamp. Yeah, pants a rapper, I'm here. Yeah, NC Sugar butt. On the track, your little slut, going to, the house track. Going in, I'm gonna give it a rap.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Eat your cheese, eat your milk. Eat your vegetables and silk. Eat the silk like a silk worm. My hair is really purr. And then when you get off the ride, wear some pants, don't go talk to my cousin Chan's, because he's on tour and he's up in France. Yeah, get in your fighting stands.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Pull on your George, put off. Put on your shorts and your bell bottoms too. You gotta wear those, of course. Looking good. And please don't die with my boy Coaster. He's pretty wide. Yeah. That's pretty great.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Yeah, I think that was great. That was great. I think I'm back, baby. Oh, Carl Coaster. We don't have a deal on the table just from you saying that, by the way. I know. I know. I'm committing.
Starting point is 01:05:38 We're not committing. Can I say Sugar But, you may not have looked in the mirror since you got now this coma because you're actually bald down. You don't have perm. Wait a second. Yeah. Can I provide you a here. They have an app on the phone.
Starting point is 01:05:51 What is that thing? It's a phone. Get it out of my face. Out of my face. It's a phone. Eat the vegetables for the human race. It's like a Star Trek communicator. Whole hands across America.
Starting point is 01:06:00 You know, I wonder if they were not feeding you your fruits and vegetables. Yeah. That's what I think actually happened is they were like, you know. That's perhaps very true. Do you have scurvy or anything like that? Huh? Do you have scurvy? I might.
Starting point is 01:06:15 I might as well. I might be gone and going to hell. Wait, you think you're going to hell? No. I could be, because I'm a sinning man. You are? Chia, you Paul Dan. You've been in a coma ever since you were at a Bible concert.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Why do you think you're a sitting man? I got to say the Lord struck you down twice. I had real bad thoughts while I was in that coma. Like what? I wanted to be home with Tony Roma. You wanted to go eat some ribs? I'm eating ribs off of his chest. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:06:45 You know what? That's not a sin anymore. That's totally fine. No. Yeah, you're fine now. The world is caught up with you. So you're telling me I can eat ribs off of Tony Romo's teeth? Yes. If he's into it.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Yeah, for sure. I heard Tony Romo had to sit out because of blood clots. Also, sit out of what? That's an even better question. I don't know. Well, guy, I got to say good luck to you, Carl. I mean, you're, you, uh, no look needed. Just science.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Physics. Interesting. Did you ever find that equation, by the way? Oh, nope. Are you getting another phone call? Yeah, my phone, they're blowing up today. I got to deal with the other one. Not that's very fun.
Starting point is 01:07:30 I got an equation for you. What's that? Eat your fruit. Got it. I hate the fruits. Eat your fruit. We're drinking milk. Wear the shirt that's made of silk.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Yeah, what was that about eating silk, by the way? A previous song. And then you clarified and said like a silkworm. That didn't help. Yeah. Okay, guys. One of these silk. I hope you guys all ride.
Starting point is 01:07:55 They do? No, they make sense. They are silk, aren't they? The opposite of that. They shit out silk. Think of Carl when you're on the next roller coaster. I don't think I'm going to. But good luck to you.
Starting point is 01:08:08 We need to do our final feature on the show. That's a little something called Plugs. All right. Thank you. That was Plugs by Tony Barker. I shouted it because I had three exclamation points. Thanks to Tony. All right. What do we plug? And obviously rough night, right? Say whatever you want to say about it right now. This is your time. This is plugs. You get to say whatever you want. I may not ever make another movie, so go and see this one. That cannot be the case. Unless you don't want to. Unless you're not. It's by choice. If you're like film is not really where I'm at, I can delve. No, no. I think you'll be, you never know. You'll laugh. You might cry.
Starting point is 01:09:03 You'll be. When would you cry? What would be the parts where people would cry? Because I've seen this film and I don't really remember cry. Some of those emotional moments. The fight scene. You know, yeah, there's some arguments. There's some things that bubble to the surface, you know.
Starting point is 01:09:14 No, it's just funny. Laugh out, let's funny. Bring your friends. It's a great night out with friends. It really is. It's go get your pals. High five during the movie. High five during the movie.
Starting point is 01:09:22 Hell yes. React. Actually, we've been seeing it with big crowds and it's fun to see them really react. Be vocal and it's fun to see it with people. People like, oh, no, like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hell no. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Taking all the pills in the car. That's one moment when people like, oh, people like, oh, hell no, don't do that. Do you get a lot of people saying, no, don't do the thing that the characters just did? A few times. Yeah. A few times, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:44 June 16th. Get your girls, get your guys. Go fucking nuts, dude. Go fucking nuts. Drop an edible. Hell yeah. Yeah. Get a drink.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Get some friends. Go out. Get a babysitter if you need. If you don't need one, hire a babysitter Bring her with you. Yeah. Yeah. Babysitter will do anything.
Starting point is 01:10:02 This is babysitter-friendly movie. This is the kind of movie that you want to bring your kids and bring the babysitter to. Yeah, well, the kids, maybe not. Well, I don't know. Fuck it, right? Yeah. You saw the movie. Do you think that there's stuff kids should not see in that?
Starting point is 01:10:12 Definitely not. I think it's totally appropriate. What is it? Is it ready? Vegetables? They should definitely see the festival eaten. No. I think at some point they are at a dinner.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Yes. They are eating vegetables. So, yeah. Kids can see it? You guys are clear. Yeah, we're clear. We got the sugar butt. Rough night, June 16th.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Anything else? Because otherwise I'm going to cede the plugs over to our other guests here. Carl, you have a plug here? Yes. Carl Coaster. Just follow me on Twitter. Carl Coast to Coast. Then we also have Instagram, Wild Rides by Carl.
Starting point is 01:10:47 And my Facebook has been closed. Oh, I'm so sorry. Has been closed. For, like, distributing fake news? No, because you had graphic pictures of the deaths of people on your Coasters on your Facebook page. Trying to do a memorial
Starting point is 01:11:02 collage, but it backfired. Collage just of dismembered body parts? And people drowning in Typhoomoo. You should do photos of them alive and happy. Yeah. All right, and Pants the Rapper, what do you got here? Yeah, I want to plug my brand new mixtape
Starting point is 01:11:17 is called Pajama Pants. So go out there and get it. It's a lot of fun. It's kind of like, it's a late night mixtape, I would say. You know, so like when you get it ready, sexy. Yeah, you know, you want to put some pants on.
Starting point is 01:11:28 Yeah, so that's it. Pajama pants. You can put some pants on? Yeah, well. Late at night. Yeah, you're going to put me on. Oh, I see. Put the album on.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought you meant when you're, when it's late at night and you're in the mood and you put pants on. That's the best part of my name is you never really sure what I'm talking about. Oh. What is the thing? If you're a sexy rapper, it'd be about taking pants off in the absence of pants. I think there's nothing sexier than fucking with through pants. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Depending. Why didn't we talk about this during the show? I know. I guess you had the heavy bags. Also, you're definitely coming back to talk about that. You could come to the UCB theater this Friday. This comes on Monday, right? Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 01:12:06 Yeah, so come Friday 10.30 p.m. to white women. You can catch pretty, yeah, everybody that's in this room right now, basically. Be there. We got Natasha Rothwell is going to be our guest, so she's going to be really fun. Oh, that's a... That sounds cool. I want to plug. We're just going clockwise.
Starting point is 01:12:25 I'll get to you Sugar Butt in a second. I want to plug the final 10 episodes of Comedy Bang Bang, The Television Show, are on Netflix now. They just dropped on Friday. So if you are too cheap to pay for cable or just don't even have IFC for whatever weird reason that they have, the final 10 are up there. So laugh, cry. I mean, that's something you're definitely going to cry. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Yes. Yes. Emotionally. And Sugarbutt, what do you got? Now, some people stay clean. Some people do drugs. But now Sugarbutt's going to tell you it's plugs. Come on, Dad.
Starting point is 01:12:54 the UCB sunset at 10.30 on Friday night. Y, T, F, that stands for your token friend with Natasha Rothwell. Doing swell. Eat your vegetables and doing swell. Go to hell. Go to hell. Go to jail. Go to jail.
Starting point is 01:13:11 No vegetables in jail. Wait, there's no vegetables in jail? No vegetables in jail, just baloney. I think that's true. We got Lucia and Paul Doni. Very good. All right, let's close up the old plug-back. All right, guys and bags.
Starting point is 01:13:29 I'm talking about open it. Talk about open his bags. All right, guys. I want to thank you all. I've never met any of you before. So this was a wonderful experience for me. I love meeting new people and forcing you to touch me. So, Lucia, Paul, good luck with the movie.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Thank you. Please, when you get the box office grosses on, when do you get the early returns? Like, obviously, you get the projections, but. Probably Sunday, Monday. Saturday morning. Well, I know you'll get some on Friday night. Make me the first call. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:14:12 We'll just forward you the emails, yes. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Carl, good luck to you. You're back. Thank you. And pants and Sugarbutt. Do me a favor.
Starting point is 01:14:23 Don't go to any more of these concerts. What? In a hen? I can't wait till the next one. We don't want to lose you. Sugar butt, you got to see Rough Night on Friday. You got to go. I'll definitely go.
Starting point is 01:14:33 That'll be my first movie since 19. 86. No, I think Juana Man. You really got to... Well, see that this week. See Juana Man and then... Yeah, you're not going to understand Rough Night unless you see Joana Man, right? There's a lot of references. It's about the prequel of Dark Night and Joanna Man. That's the thing. It's a prequel of Dark Night, but it's sequel to Juana Man, figure it out. If you guys can figure it out. Scott, I left some fast pass for all you guys, so you can go straight to the Goliath when...
Starting point is 01:14:57 The unpopular roller coaster? Thank you. The fast pass. The one that you don't even count? There's no line, but you get the pass. Okay, thanks so much. Thanks, Carl. All right, and thanks to all of you guys. Thanks. We'll see you next time. Bye.
