Open a comedy bang bang,
comedy bang bang, comedy bang, comedy bang, comedy bang, comedy bang, comedy bang, comedy bang.
Open the door, get on the floor.
Everybody try and help me get all this lamb's blood out of my hammock bag by.
Welcome to Comedy Bang Bang.
That took a turn.
Yeah.
A turn for the worst, I would say.
But maybe some people think it's a turn for the better.
Was or not was that a new catchphrase that you're going to use?
That, my friend, I don't know if you know this, but that is a clever play on the band that did the original song.
Now, I'm not sure if you're aware of this.
That might have been aware.
Was not was?
David, shut up.
Thank you to Pavlovich for that catchphrase submission.
And welcome to Comedy Bang Bang for another week.
We have an incredible show.
Coming up a little later in the show, we have a football coach.
A football coach.
We also have two podcast hosts.
So this is going to be...
Redundant.
Yeah, this is going to be a redundant show.
You guys could probably turn this off pretty soon.
But not before we get to our next and first guests.
They can be next and first and first at the same time.
First and next time.
First and next time.
First and next time.
That's right.
next time. He is
entering the exclusive
13 timers club.
Baker's Does. The Baker's
Does on Comedy Bang Bang.
He is our old friend
and he
is
not doing the things that the other guy
are doing other than their careers
certainly overlap this
Friday when a certain movie
called Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity
Sex Pass comes out in
theaters, please welcome him, John Ham, and Ham, John Hib, no, and him, David Wayne.
Hey, hi, Scott, thanks for having us.
I'm setting out a goal.
Okay.
That this show, you mentioned it, you feel like it could be redundant.
If I have anything to do with steering the direction of the ship, I'm going to change out
that middle syllable and make the show resplendent.
I thought maybe you're going to go with, because I'm going to try, I'm going to do the same thing.
And I'm going to try to make this as refundant as we can.
I enjoy that, yeah.
Do you guys have a healthy competition here?
This is what I like when I see two kind of alpha dogs just nipping at each other going like, I'm going to do this joke.
That's an accurate description of our relationship, I think.
Well, a lot of people know that we met in a junior high school fraternity.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
And his nickname, and my people don't know this was the redonculus dude.
The redongulous dude, really.
And David's was the Radoodkillis dunk.
The Radood Killer Donk?
So that's why I say, let's get, let's get
Respiratory Respondent.
We like to play word games with one another.
That's for sure.
Thank goodness for the New York Times and its capacity.
I have a question to do that.
You have a question you say, David?
I've been wanting to know about your theme song.
Is Reggie's thing that he doesn't own any musical instruments and he doesn't
have any friends who know how to play any musical instruments?
If you know about his story, which he wrote about in his autobiography, he grew up poor.
Couldn't afford any musical instruments.
And then he also stayed poor his entire time.
And so he can't afford any.
And so that's why he learned how to do all of this with his mouth.
Okay.
And the autobiography is just called Me and My Mouth, right?
Me in my mouth.
And also, I'm poor.
Me in my mouth.
Me and my mouth and also I'm poor by Reggie Watts.
Yep.
I look
it's a weird title
but it's right there in the title
it's all right there
right there
guys you uh
you're you've been great friends
for a long time
John I believe you popped up in the 10
David's second movie
is that correct
second film right after the seminal
and I'll say it
it's made of seaman
um wet hot American summer
also uh
you much like uh sorry David
let me talk
so you much like
uh kiss who put a drop of blood
in every issue of their Marvel comic
You put semen in the film of Wet Hot American Summer?
It's baked right in.
It's baked right.
It wouldn't be wet without the semen.
That's right.
And I went to, luckily, wet hot American summer was only released in like six theaters when it came out.
I was that one of them.
I was too.
And I went to each theater into the projection booth and gave a little bit of my own semen to the print.
And that's why it just slides so nicely.
What hole on the projector did you stick your penis into?
Can you remember?
Yeah, it was into the hole right next to the Dolby start mark.
The Dolby start mark.
Got it.
Okay, good.
Good to know.
Good to know.
I wonder if they ever cleaned those things out.
They did clean it in 2006.
Oh, okay.
So, yeah, quite a few years.
Long time for that to begin there.
But it's been clean since then.
Okay, wonderful.
So you guys have been friends for, and David, of course, we know you as the director of such
movies as the aforementioned Wet Hot American Summer, but also role models,
Wonderland.
So many of our...
Wonderless.
No, Wonderland.
So many of our great movies
that we love so much
and can remember the titles of.
And John, you, of course,
we know you from such television shows as Mad Men,
your friends and neighbors,
currently on Apple TV Plus.
And also movies like bridesmaids and...
What about Top Gun? Did you forget that?
Top Gun.
Maverick.
Maverick.
My dear boy.
No.
Although, would you?
have loved to have been playing volleyball?
I would have loved to, you know, I was 14 when it came out, so I don't know where I would
have fit on the...
That would have been strange.
I probably been a backliner.
Just rolling through the thing.
But I would have held that tan, boy.
I would have been good looking in that tan.
And I own my own cutoffs.
I hate to say this, though.
As someone who's been around Hollywood a little bit, there have been movies, features even,
that have 14-year-old kids in them.
You know what?
I read that's actually a Hollywood myth that they have hired three.
13 year old boys, 12 year old boys, even 15 year old boys, 60, but there has never been a 14 year old boy in a movie.
14's a bridge too far.
You know what?
It's something I'm going to double check with Claude.
Okay.
And wait, you just brought your man servant Claude in?
Yes.
He'll be here the entire show.
He'll be here the entire show.
He's a fact checker, but he doesn't do it in real time.
Oh, okay.
He'll files all these away, classic Claude.
He will file these away and then, you know, maybe a day later you'll get a list of your questions.
It sounds like people who listened to this show and correct me on what I got wrong every week.
Claude was the coat checker at Studio 54 when I used to go there regularly, and I thought it would translate quickly for him to become my personal fact checker, but it's a different thing.
It used to be you and Halston and Dr. Truman Compotee classic.
Lysmonelli.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
We used to go down there and just hook it up.
Hook it up.
And when you say hook it up, you were the A-V guy.
Is that what I heard?
I was the A-V guy.
He would put the like turntables.
He would hook those up into the speakers.
Otherwise, nobody's dancing.
Exactly.
That's what I think Studio 54 was known as a dance play.
And then we...
It was mainly a dance place.
It was mainly a dance hall.
That's what everyone thinks of.
All the other stuff is like secondary, but guys went there and gals.
And gals, don't forget the gals.
Let's not forget anything in between as well.
Those were heady times, though.
I wouldn't even leave the house until 10 p.m.
I'd go grab some dinner at the Knickerbocker with Ed Koch and a whole group of friends.
And then we would...
Right across the park.
We didn't get to Studio 15.
until about 2 a.m.
And then that's when things really got nuts.
Andy Warhol came in.
I was reading it was closed though by then.
Is that true?
Yeah, this was about six months ago.
It was like an after hours thing.
But so you guys,
you've known each other for a good amount of time.
And suddenly, John,
out of the suddenly Seymour.
You are starring in this movie,
Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass.
Now, do you play the titular role of Gail Dautry?
I do not play Gail Dought.
I don't play the titular role of Gail Doughtry,
but I do play the titular role of the celebrity sex pass.
And you show your tits in this movie.
Is that what I heard?
Well, seminally, I do.
Yes.
My tits have semen all over them.
So what's that dude's name who takes clips of naked people in the
Oh, America's home video.
Mr. Skin, yeah.
Mr. Skin, yeah.
Mr. Skin alert.
Which, by the way, Stephen Skin could have had such a different career.
And all of a sudden, he just went like, you know what, I'm going to lean in.
and just be the guy who clips out boobs and you know what i don't i don't mind it one bit
one has to ask is there a mrs skin you'd hope so i hope he's married i sincerely do um
but uh you're you're a couple of little skins are running around you're running around leaving
their shed epidermis all over the carpet exactly but now you what is david explain yourself
because you made wet hot american summer i was like yeah that was that great yeah he made his
movie. Then suddenly you come out with another movie called The Tent. I'm like confused. I'm like,
no, no, no, no, no. Which is it? What Hot American Summer was like a couple years prior.
Yeah. They were like, no, this is a new thing. Cut two now 20 some odd years later, you have this
coming out. I, it's too confusing. Believe me, I know it's weird. I can, I can help unpack this for you.
Okay, please. So this is a new movie. If that helps at all. It helps. I mean, honestly,
that kind of. By the way, Scott, I had the same problem. Did you really? Because I was like,
look, I loved, as, as you did, I was there holding my ticket, first run in the theater.
I gave half of my ticket away, to be fair, to the usher.
That true, that true, that true.
That true, yes.
That true, too, to that true.
True that true.
I think I can say that.
To thy own story of the ticket being torn, be true.
Ah, the immortal bard.
Thank you so much.
And so as soon as David said, I want you to be in this movie, I was like, but I saw that movie.
Yeah, exactly.
And I'm not in it.
The movie.
I'm not in it.
I'd love to have been in it.
it, but no, no, no, it wasn't the case.
And he had to explain to me, yes, this is, in fact, a new movie, a different movie.
That was the confusion I always had about Jeff Goldblum, because he was in that movie The Fly.
Yeah.
And then later I saw him in some Marvel thing.
And he's just sitting in a chair.
He's not flying at all.
And like, which is it, dude?
Yeah, I know, exactly.
Pick a lane.
Yeah.
Exactly.
But so, I mean, all of that aside, you have this new movie coming out.
Yes.
And with this odd, odd title, I don't know that any of these words have ever been in any other
movie. No. Before. Um, like, uh, movies like abyss don't have any of these words. Even a,
even a movie like celebrity. Yeah. Doesn't have any of these words in the title. Well,
except celebrity. Except for celebrity. Fine. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Um, but yeah. So it was a, it was a real
leap of faith. I'll tell you that much. Yeah. But sometimes we have to take those in this business. Like the movie,
leap of faith. Starring Steve Martin. I mean, there's a lot of things that you can do. And,
and David, uh, believed in himself. Did Steve Martin? Did Steve Martin?
call you to give you any advice about this
on this one? He said, good luck.
He said, I'm the leap of faith guy. And try to keep the murders in the building.
And I was like, well, I don't know if I can promise you that. I can do my best. Also,
I don't think you guys are doing that anymore either. I mean, they reached a hand
across in the season finale of the last, anyway, but by the way, before everyone tunes out,
which is probably soon, I just want to say.
So you've heard the podcast. The movie is terrific. It's gotten incredible reviews.
and you're going to want to go see it.
Have you AstroTurfed the reviews yet with your own thoughts on this?
So is that some new Gen Z term that I have to go look up?
Yeah, please do.
Yeah, we'll take, we'll wait.
John, you're okay with waiting, right?
I love waiting.
You know what, why don't you get Claude to look at a floor?
Hey, Claude.
What's this term?
AstroTurf.
It is, you know, and the people try to do the fake grassroots campaign, you know.
Copy that.
Thank you, Claude.
Not a problem, David.
No, we haven't just started that yet.
He's hugging you right now.
I just want to tell you, I want to help and I want to be close to you.
This is this vestige from his co-check days and he doesn't, you got to understand,
you got to understand only co-check people should be hugging the customers.
Meaning he wants everyone to be warm, so when people would take off their coats, he would hug them?
I just tried to give a little more body heat, you know.
Yeah.
54 was the great place for that.
Well, because he did all his early coat checking at this place in Alaska, which was outside.
Freezing cold, you guys.
It was the hot spot of Nome, but it was very cold.
And because it was outside, people got particularly cold when he took their coats away.
You get like a cold.
You get like Mocklock.
You take so many things away, but you can only give so much of your body to the people.
Clark, can I ask you a question?
How much is David paying you?
Because you obviously are underpaid, whatever it is.
Scott, I'd be honest to you, I do this work for free.
You would?
You know what?
I'll pay you double to work for me.
Double free?
Yep.
Free.
Wait, wait, your beer over.
He gets free Blu-Rays of all my movies.
This is a very good part.
Very good park.
I'm talking free.
Including Wonderland?
No tax.
Now, to be fair, Wonderland, great movie.
David did not direct the Wonderland.
He direct the Wonder Lost, which was very, very, very, very.
So you're just, you're loyal to David over here.
I have to say, it's been six, seven, eight years now,
20, but I can't remember.
It's too long.
He hasn't made that many movies in that time.
He's a nice guy.
I like to...
Plus, one isn't even on DVD.
One's like a Netflix movie.
Hey, that's fair, but sometimes I get a free login from the streaming service.
So it's super fun to be able to do.
I guess that's all right.
I guess you could watch Heated Rivalry or whatever.
By the way, sexy, sexy show.
David, do you ever think maybe updating that for the feature film?
I was thinking about watching Heated Rivary,
but then I heard a rumor that a couple of the guys in there are not exactly straight.
And so I
That's
You know
Obviously it's
I'm sure not true
But I just in case
I'm gonna steer clear
You want me to check in on that for you too
Yeah
Why did you check
Come back to me with the fact
You know what I should probably go do that now
All right why you leave
Yeah
I'll check it
I'll check it off
Thanks Claude
If you ever want to
You know
Come over work around the Akerman compound
You'll give me a shout
I'll check with the boss here
And we'll see what I've had
Oh there he goes
Oh wow
Why is he?
wearing horseshoes. So strange.
I just, they're great looking shoes.
Well, when he comes in the house in the morning, I want to know he's there.
Oh, God, got, I got. I got. I can see that.
Kind of that soft-spoken guy. You never know what's going on.
Now, David, true to form here on
Comedy Bang Bang, you have been drawing the
entire time and not making eye contact with anyone.
Is that?
Well, it's an audio form.
Sure, sure. Of course. That's what you always say every single
time you do it. Well, sometimes, you know,
these days... Also, you're at a table
surrounded by doodles. Yes. And you've brought
your own platform. I don't want to dirty the table.
On which to doodle.
Yes, of course.
There is the classic story, by the way, on Scott has the scene when Sprague saw a movie that you came into and you dealt cards the entire movie.
Oh, yeah, sure.
Well, that I've gotten better at not doing.
But he has also got...
How good are you at not doing it?
Got him really good at dealing cards, too.
Okay.
I have, yeah.
This makes perfect.
Well, you know, a lot of podcasts, these, as you know, are on video.
Of course.
And so this is a chance to not look at everybody.
Can we all agree, by the way, that if they're podcast on video, they should have a different name.
Yes, they should call.
Viscast is right there.
Just get any...
Or castelots.
Or Johnny Casterton.
Whatever you want to call it.
Why, I'm Johnny Caste.
How about TV show?
How about TV show?
Thank you, David, for crystallizing what exactly I was trying to say.
Okay.
Now, tell me about this movie, though, because this is a crazy title.
Now, look...
David, do you want to get into the...
I want to be a...
I have seen this movie.
By the way,
plenty of nuts and bolts in this movie.
Yeah.
I mean,
there are droids in this movie, right?
Like R2D2 actually...
These are not the droids you're looking for.
No, that's also very true.
But this...
The movie is about a Midwestern woman
played by Zoe Deutsch,
the great Zoe Deutsch.
Yes, of course.
And she has this celebrity sex pass...
Nippo Baby!
Wonderful, pretty and pink director,
Howard Deutsch.
And Leah Thompson.
Oh, sure.
Neppo Baby!
I just,
I actually just mounted a stage musical
with our friend Jessica McKay.
Kenneth and Zach Reno with Leah Thompson.
Oh, she was in it. Oh, great.
Fantastic.
From Back to the future.
Nepo, Mommy!
John, I'm going to ask you.
And so anyway, Zoe Deutsch plays this incredible character named Gail Dautry.
And in this adventure of Gail Dachie, she has a man she's going to marry and they have a celebrity sex pass agreement.
And he...
Meaning like a...
Like, if you ever run into your celebrity crush, you can officially have sex with him without consequence to the relationship.
That is what it is.
this story, he, in a surprise, actually meets his celebrity, has sex with his celebrity, and then
she is in distraught straits, and ends up in L.A. and a psychic tells her, you know what,
in order to save your relationship, you have to, even the scales, and find your celebrity
past, John Hamm, and have sex with him, and then everything will be evened out.
And I've seen this movie. That is the first 20 minutes of it, and then she finds you,
and it's about an hour and 10 minutes of sex.
Well, actually, we're not going to spoil it.
No spoilers, please.
I don't even know if she finds John Hamm.
I don't know if John Hamm's in the movie.
John Hamm might not be in this movie, yeah,
if we're not doing spoilers.
I am in the credits.
You're in the credits, sure.
I think we can spoil that part.
I am in the credits.
You know, we don't like to do spoilers on this show.
There may not even be a character named Gail Dautry.
It may not be directed by you,
and it may not be titled Gail Dottry and the Celebrity Sex Pass.
I have a friend, a buddy, a bud.
Who, so he started as a friend.
Yeah.
Then you downgraded him to Buddy and then Bud?
Well, you'll hear why.
You'll understand why when I tell the story.
At the end of the story is just going to be booed.
This is a guy, even if it's not about a movie, he might just be like, he'll come in the house and be like, oh, spoiler alert.
And then he'll, like, tell what happened.
Whatever happened to him that day.
And he just uses it as like a conversational entree.
It does make everyone kind of perk up because we all like to know our nasty little secrets.
Yeah.
It's like, I don't spoil it, but do.
Yeah.
So do you mind if I spoil your movie?
Yeah, please go ahead and do the entire thing.
What happens, though, is that she collects a group of friends along the way to help find John Ham, including his former co-star, John Slattery.
Yes, from the other character in the movie.
From the Mad Men TV show.
Yeah.
And anything, like, ripped from today's headlines.
Like, you would, like, it almost feels like it could actually happen.
You know how you're reading Variety or the Hollywood report?
And they're like, what's John Slattery up to?
And you're like, you would rip that story out and you would stick it in a movie.
Seems to me like they seem to me like they should.
should go out and do some pound the pavement
trying to find out what he's up to, but instead they're
just putting out stories saying, what is he up to? What's going
on? Yeah. Well, this movie, the answers
that answers that answers that question. This movie answers
the question that is on everyone's lips.
What is John Slavery up to? What's funny doing?
But not only is that, we have
Ben Wong, the great recent
karate kid. Yes, and from the
long walk. Yeah, great, incredible actor and
funny, funny actor, and he's, he's part of the team
that's helping her find John Ann.
Assembles this, this squad.
Almost in Avengers of fucking you.
That's right.
Yes.
An end game.
And then we have...
The end game is fucking.
Just like an Avengers end game.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
I mean, I think that's probably true.
They all had sex with each other.
They all got fucked.
They all got fucked when that guy snapped his finger.
Uh-huh.
Also, the part of the team is the legendary, uh, Ken Marino.
Yes.
Ken Marino, who also...
Who was in the aforementioned,
wet hot American summer, as well as the state with you.
And the wanderlust and role models and all that.
Wondel and we, and we actually, Ken and I actually wrote
role models and Wanderlust
and he and this new movie together
that's right now how do you
do that do you take over half of the keyboard
on the typewriter and he does the other half it's weird
because David and I watched this happen and you
wouldn't think it works
David does only capitals can does all the lowercase
and it's like wow
you have you haven't been over and a while
the way we do it now is I type with my
elbow and then so I needless
to say so many keys get typed
so he corrects
he knows he can translate that
elbow magic that you put down on the page.
Well, that was fantastic.
By the way, just in case people are going to try this at home, that was just a joke.
We need to be responsible about that because a lot of people, they'll listen to the show.
You're going to break your keyboard.
If not your actual screen.
Or your elbow, guys.
I mean, this is you're banging into some hard plastic with a very sensitive part of your body.
Exactly.
So we want to make sure no one is doing that.
Although you might want to try using your funny bone when it comes to you guys' scripts.
Am I right?
Well, thank you.
Last time I checked, this is a comedy bang, bang.
I wanted to make sure that we told at least one joke on this show.
Scott, I do not know what you're on, but whatever it is, like, get me some, because where do you come up with this shit?
It's Ptip.
Jesus Christ.
Is it, Fenceiklene?
Yeah, Angel dust.
Somebody lock this guy up.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, totally.
It's great.
He's a card and should be dealt with.
My goodness.
I'm embarrassed.
I'm like red here.
Anyway, also part of this gang.
we have in the movie the big part we have this I hope in the movie incredible actor if you guys started a gang not in the movie I'd be frightened do you know the great Italian star Sabrina impacciatore who's in the paper and also in White Lotus she's fantastic she plays the villain in our movie
oh yeah along with Joe La Trulio and Mather Zichol it's that's right it's look I have seen this movie and I was concerned because I knew I was going to laugh
my butt, but off? And I came out of this screening that I went to. My butt was gone. And so I had to
get a BBL down in South America. And by the way, it looks fantastic. Thank you so much. I appreciate that.
And you also seem to have got a hair transplant. I did, yes. Was that in South America? I got the
Andrew Garfield when I was down there. The full garf. It looks good. I went full garf.
Wow. I mean, yeah, you look 15 years younger. Thank you so much. Yeah. I just went to Turkey and
I got a new full head of hair.
Thicker with two seats.
Now, David, what did you say while Joe and I were having a funny little moment?
I did a little packaged thing and I went to Turkey and I got a full head of hair.
Do you like it?
Can I tell you something?
You went to Turkey because that's, you are one.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
Maybe you are turkey.
You guys.
All right, all right.
Let's not get too jive all this.
I lobbed one back.
Yeah.
Let's calm down, though, because this is a serious business.
There are millions and millions of dollars on that.
the line here. That's true. And, um, uh, uh, the budget of this movie, I think was astronomical.
And we want to make sure that you make all of that back and then some. And then some, please.
That's right. Yeah. I would definitely say go see it in your local movie theater this weekend.
With a big group of people that are ready to laugh and have a good time at the movies because
that's what it's all about. That's right. Or with someone that you just started seeing and you're like,
you know what? I hope I get to first, if not second base during this movie. Now, let's be very clear
though. This is not a sports movie. It's not like,
nothing to do with baseball. This is not
the natural. This is not, uh, bull Durham. No, it's not
nothing, Kevin Costner is not in this film. No. Although you were in a, uh,
I remember you, uh, as, as like, uh, weren't you a, a talent scout or something in
some, I did do a baseball movie. This is not that. This is not that. Million Dollar
Arm. This is not that. This is not that. Did you have the million dollar arm in
that way? No, I was looking for the million dollar arm. Okay. And you know what?
Spoiler alert.
You found it?
I found it.
Yeah, I watched this on a plane.
Don't you worry.
I did.
By the way, thank you.
Yeah, I enjoyed it.
Excellent play.
I have to say, it's just killing me, and it's been killing me since you've been discussing a million dollar arm.
That's a long time.
I never saw that movie, John.
I'm so sorry.
I'll get with Claude and I'll get you a Blu-ray, and you guys can watch you together.
I think they would like that.
Yeah, I think Claude would really enjoy that one.
Well, I know what he goes back.
Just from what I can tell about.
He's a really interesting guy.
Seems like a really great guy.
He's a wide range of taste.
I don't know.
Also, he's probably like handsome.
He just seems like, like, he's so damn handsome.
He would be the guy to fire up the Blu-ray player, though, so I just got to check his schedule.
No, no, no, I'm sure.
Yeah, I'll let him know.
You know what?
I think the easiest thing is, give me the Blu-ray, and then when I have time, I'll play it.
Okay, we solved it.
Okay, great.
Sure.
Yeah, whatever you need.
Whatever you need.
Well, David, John, this is quite an achievement.
Gail Dottery and the Celebrity Sex Pass is in theaters, and it's more than six,
which was what...
Yes.
It's...
How many are we in?
It's like, you know,
many hundreds.
Many hundreds of theaters.
All over every city of the country.
Nationwide.
Nationwide.
This has that...
Coast to coast.
That patented David Wayne
just feeling about it.
And,
but even if you don't care about David Wayne,
you're going to love this movie.
It's just a big, funny, great...
Well, I'll say this thing.
It's got...
And you almost landed on the term,
the term of art.
Scott, it's called a Geneseecois.
That's right.
And you know what that means?
I do not know.
Who knows?
No, it's untranslatable.
It is untranslatable, but I tell you what this has, a ton of it.
It's got it.
Totally.
Thank you, David.
Thank you for putting all of that.
Thank you, David.
Thank you, David, for your whole career and for this in particular.
I'm so proud of you, John Hamm, for being so great in the movie.
And I'm so proud of you, John Ackerman, for talking about it.
Yeah, I am talking about it.
And I'm so proud of you.
Can I say to you, David, John Wayne?
John Wayne, John David Wayne
A lot of people don't know that
A lot of people don't know your name
It's a lot like Albert Einstein
Was Albert Brooks
But your name is John Wayne
Thank you for your beautiful art
This entire time
Oh stop it, oh my God
It's really really gorgeous
It is so cute
It really is this is
I mean your whole career
The how many moves
On the outside of it
It looks like an old pizza box
I'm gonna say probably seven
You think seven?
I don't know
What am I gonna do?
Count them all up
It would be impossible
We don't have that many
Where would you start?
Yeah.
First I have to find the Blu-Rays.
It's just impossible.
It's also a math thing.
Thank you for your career.
And thank you for your service to comedy.
And I'm done.
And you know what?
We have to take a break if that's okay.
It's great.
Can you guys stick around?
Yeah, we'd love to.
All right.
Fantastic.
Speak for yourself.
I'd love to.
Okay, great.
We're going to come back.
We're going to have a football coach and a couple of podcasters.
This is a very, very exciting show.
I don't know what that reaction is all about
I was excited
Yeah
I'm excited
We're gonna come right back
We're gonna have more David Wayne
More John Ham
We'll be right back with more
Comedy Bang Bang after this
All right I think we have to take a break
And we'll come right back after this
Okay thank you
Comedy Bang Bang Bang I'm back
I'm back
I'm back and so are our guests
I'm back
John Ham's back
David Wayne's back
We're all back
I'm back
Yeah everyone's back
Right. Yeah, we're all back.
Yeah.
And Gail Dautry and the Celebrity Sex Pass.
It reminds me of when Paul Reiser did that reboot of, what was the show,
Mad About You?
Yeah.
And he's like, I'm back doing more episodes.
Yeah.
We all remember that.
And the show was called still mad, right?
Campaign, yeah.
Still mad, still about, but about someone different.
But I think that the big hook that really electrified the country on all the buses is,
I'm back doing the show again.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was pretty exciting to be a witness to that.
ad campaign. And speaking of ad campaigns, Gail Dottry and the Celebrity Sex Pass is out this
Friday. And this is part of the promo campaign, certainly. And speaking of ad campaigns, we have
Don Draper himself, right? Hey, oh, thank you. Are you going to be doing your mantra while you're
doing yoga or whatever the fuck you're doing? I can say, you know, we were talking about bringing old
shows back. I can finally break it on this one. Madman's coming back. Are you doing the 80s now?
Yeah. Yeah. Hell yeah. I will say it's
starts Friday. So it's going to bump it's going to bump a little bit with
spoiler alert. You're only airing during show times of the movie. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. They've,
they're really counter programming it. So it's a, it's a strange. We'll see. We'll see if it happens.
So now you're going to be doing Mad Men in the 80s and it's primarily, this is what I was reading
in the trades. Don Draper is watching episodes of happy days that are set in the 50s, but made in the 80s?
While he had a late career, late in his life career change, he's a VJ.
Oh, okay.
For MTV.
For MTV.
So yes.
So he's, while he's catching up with a lot of his happy days, which takes place in the 50s, of course, which he has a lot of fondness for.
But he does spin a lot of videos.
So he plays like a Bill Dean.
I'm Mark Goodman wrapping up this hour.
We got Don Draper coming up for you.
He's going to show you the new queen.
music video.
It comes
we are the champions
and he does
and it's great
and it really works
Was that your Dantraper voice?
I don't remember.
Because you
it's so funny
knowing you so long
you did have a Dondraper voice
It was different
Nope
It wasn't that though
I don't think it was
I think that was my
I think that was my Will Arnette
I can tell you what it sounded like
It sounded like this
That's what the money's for
That was way better than mine
Do you like those
The memes that go around
about you is that's a famous one isn't it that's what the money's for i think so i think there's a
i don't think about you at all i don't think about you at all that is another yeah i am actually in real
life watching the whole series with my son who's a teenager oh and whenever we hit those super famous
moments it's very he loves it i mean i'm watching madman sure but watching he is gonna he does he
does he enjoy being a teenager i don't know any does he does because he's like people didn't really
smoke that much today and i'm like yeah they did well we get to the 80s yeah boy everyone's
going to be smoking crack.
Thank you.
Oh, that's so exciting to have Don Draper smoking crack in the 80s.
He really does get into it too.
That's going to be so awesome to see it.
The weird thing is he, they ask him to come back to Sterling Cooper and they're like,
what do you find?
What do you want?
What do you want?
I'm in MTV.
I'm just around the corner.
I'm on Madison Avenue still.
Yeah, exactly.
They go, we need a campaign for this new cocaine.
It's called crack.
Oh, and so he gets involved in that, really.
He goes, guys, he's like, I'm the guy who did the Coke deal for the CIA.
I used to be Coke guy.
Yeah.
And now they're like, well.
and he goes, let me just tell you one thing, guys.
Crack is whack.
And they use it?
And it actually...
So he's two for two with Coke-related products.
That's incredible.
So it actually, though, it doesn't sell any more crack.
It actually keeps people away from it.
You'd think that, except what do people want more than anything else?
What they can't have.
So it just actually, there's no such thing as bad PR.
Exactly.
It makes more people smoke crack.
This is a genius, genius season.
Tune in.
Fridays during the...
During any show time.
any show time of Gail Doctrie and this.
I want to rewind.
What, for example, that one scene, I don't think about you at all.
It's you in an elevator with Ben Feldman, right?
Nope.
I think it is.
Yes, Ben Feldman.
And you're shooting that.
Always nice to remember.
And you're shooting that at the time.
The Vinny one was not sure.
You're probably down at the L.A. center or something, right?
And then the question is, at that moment, are you like, this is a moment people are going to remember?
This is going to be a GIF. Or did it feel like something?
special, you're just like, oh, it's another scene. At that moment, I was like, I probably have to go,
I want to wrap this scene up quickly because my friend David Wayne is shooting role models right down
the way, and I wanted to go say hi. We did do that for a second. I'd like to bring it all back.
Incredible. Well, speaking of bringing it back, let's bring on our next guests. And they're coming back
to the show. They were on once before. They're podcasters. Please welcome back. Peter and PD Tucson.
Welcome back. Welcome back. Welcome back. I'm sure you're
welcoming us back.
I am welcome you back.
That feels genuine.
Yeah, that doesn't feel
sarcastic at all.
That doesn't feel like
you didn't mean it.
Okay.
I don't,
actually, guys,
I don't know,
I mean,
much like John in his famous scene,
I don't think about you at all.
Oh.
I don't really remember
who you guys are.
Is that supposed to be funny?
Is that supposed to be a joke?
One of your ha-haz?
It felt forced.
One of your hoo-hies.
Not really.
I'm legitimately asking you
to remind me who you are
and what,
My name is Peter. I'm Peter, Peter Tucson.
And I'm Petey Tucson.
Okay.
Does it ring a bell?
Does that ring, does that dingling you're dingling?
No, it actually, I introduced you and I said those words.
Did that take a big hammer to your chime?
Is Petey short for something?
Peter.
Oh, you're both Peter Tussaud.
A couple of Peter Tussauds.
You can see, it's confusing and that's why we had to.
Are you related?
I can't remember anything about you.
We're divorced.
We're divorced.
You're divorced.
We're in a non-monogamous, cohabitation.
partnership. And we live in an
econo lodge. Oh. A hotel.
Yeah, the hotel. Yeah, the hotel. Motel, hotel. So you guys just
counted rate or? We pay by the month. We like to pay in full. So your life is like the
Florida project. I'm not aware. We don't watch TV like that. We are too busy
recording our podcast. And what's the podcast all about? Well, our podcast, thank you for asking.
Thank you.
Somebody here is interested in what we do.
He was trying.
Well, I'm trying to remember what it is because I know you've been on the show before,
but I don't even remember when.
I did not hear the episode you were on before,
so you can just fill me in along with some of the other audience.
You got it.
Drama.
One of you.
Yon Yon Yon.
Dramaity Yon Yon.
Your rival podcast, Scott, your number one rival podcast.
We started our podcast the day before you started yours and you swept in like a little bitch
and took our idea.
I remember this now is ringing a bell.
You guys saying this, I don't know that it's actually true, but...
It is true.
There's definitely podcast beef here.
Yeah, you could say that.
You could say that, yeah.
You heard of, like, road beef when you're on the road?
This is like podcast.
And your podcast is called for it.
The last time we saw Scott, he was knee-deep in road beef.
Oh, it was a live show that we saw each other.
That's right.
You were back-stroking.
You guys attend the live shows of your rival.
Well, he came to Royal Oak where we're based.
Oh, okay.
That's where you're based.
Okay.
In the Econa one.
That was a direct shot across our bow when you did that.
And that's what brought us here to send one right back at you.
Okay.
So you want to take a shot at me?
Go ahead.
What do you got?
We are the, we are Luke Skywalker in that little speeder.
X-wing.
What?
Land-speeder.
Is that a land-speeder?
Yes.
I don't think it's what you're talking about.
I think it's an X-wing.
Which one?
When he goes to the death.
Star.
X-wing.
It shoots the proton torpedo down the exhaust tube.
That's right.
Is that an exhaust tube?
I believe it was.
Yeah, some sort of, yeah, some just, uh, event.
Well, we find out in Rogue One that it was an intentional, uh, flaw in the design of, uh, in order to.
Oh, I don't acknowledge.
I did not pay attention to Canon because it's corporate.
Well, this is, uh, uh, and or actually is what I should say.
And or what?
I know, I know.
Oh, but everything here is so funny.
Your podcast is called drama.
We focus on drama.
Yon Yong Ying Yang.
What we like to take.
Yon Yon Yon Yon Yon Yon.
Yon Yon, which was a character in I think Rogue One, Yon Yon Yon.
Yon, yeah, he's great.
He's like the space bartender.
I'm done talking about whatever.
We are finished talking about Star Wars.
Oh, okay.
We are fan or you aren't finished.
We are.
Okay.
We on our podcast.
Dramity, Yon, focus probably on Dramaties.
You don't want to talk about Star Wars.
more.
Thank you.
This is a reference to Star Wars.
We've never seen it.
Obi-1 Canobi, whose name is actually Ben, so I don't know why they call them.
Is this one of your funny things when you make them ups?
Because we don't do.
Are you Southern?
For a second there.
We have been taking a class.
That was my Don Draper.
That was really good.
I had to do something to get your attention.
How is your podcast different than Comedy Bang Bang, which we know?
Well, Scott, you know, he claims comedy heals people.
He focuses on comedy.
He brings people in to do their funny characters.
They're funny who?
Funny in quotes.
And people supposedly, and I've never seen this at home,
will listen to these characters and laugh their way to work or have fun and maybe forget about their problem.
They get off their shift at the pit and they put it on and they feel better.
You've seen this?
How have you seen this?
I'm saying I haven't seen this.
Oh, you haven't seen.
I'm actually thinking it would be...
This is what Scott claimed.
It would be really funny to see an episode of the pit,
like the last one of the season,
and Noah Wiley gets him to do his car
and turns on comedy, bang, bang.
Man, I needed this.
He's walking through Pittsburgh on his motorcycle.
So what you guys...
Walking through on his motorists.
Focus on the drama aspect of it.
Not dramedy.
Well, we call it dramedy because we take people's trauma.
And their drama.
And we combine it.
with tragedy. Right. And that's
plus time. And that plus time equals more drama.
Okay. Can you give us an example of this?
Of course we can't. Scott,
yeah. Don't be an asshole.
Please stop.
Okay. For example, this is something. We usually take calls, but because
we're in your, uh, your area, we're going to just use some of the people in the room.
Mr. Wayne. Yes. Yeah. Are you available for a question? I love it. I'm looking right at you.
Just give us something that was maybe taxing or,
Or traumatic.
Traumatic that happened recently.
To me.
In your life, yes.
Like, what's the worst thing that's ever happened to you?
Yeah, go ahead.
The thing that popped in my head is one time I was riding my big wheel in a sloped area near the duck pond near where I grew up.
And I was going down the hill towards the pond, and I was meant to turn away.
But I didn't do it quickly enough.
And I went into the pond.
And I got all wet.
Did it have the break?
I don't think, though, this was pre the brakes.
I understand.
Those aren't the brakes.
Mm-hmm.
It felt forced, but I'll take it.
We'll take it.
So watch, we're going to heal you, okay?
Are you ready to be healed?
I know you're not looking at us.
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
I am looking at you.
Okay.
Okay.
And scene.
Okay.
Here we go.
Was that the end of this?
No, the beginning of it's seen.
You call same for.
Honey?
Yeah?
I saw that you wrote on your list of things to do today to take out the tricycle.
That's right.
Will you please, God damn it, will you please be careful next to the pond?
Just let me ride.
I can't let you ride.
Please just let me ride.
Go ahead.
I've got to hanker in.
For more wet.
If you come back and you tell me you went in that pond,
I'll still love you.
Stop it. What did you just say?
I said,
if you come back
and you tell me you went in the pond,
by mistake, because you couldn't turn fast enough,
I still love you.
Oh, dad.
We all have times in our life where we try to turn,
and sometimes you just don't turn fast enough.
Come here.
What are you doing?
I'm giving you a kiss.
And seen.
Wow.
That was surprisingly
therapeutic.
Yeah.
How do you feel now?
In the middle, I was
crying a little bit.
Yeah.
And now I feel like I've come out the other side
and you've shown me a different perspective
and I'm feeling freed from that trauma.
Yeah.
Did you see that, Scott?
Did you see just what happened to David there?
I didn't see it.
I heard it.
I was doodling while it was happening.
but yeah. Do you see the value of that over the value of bringing in?
Of whatever I do? Yeah. I mean, it happened on my show, so it's kind of like I own it.
I will say, and I thought, as I said, very, very affecting. I had one slight note.
Oh, yeah.
It felt like it took a bit of a turn toward the end into something that felt maybe a little more emotional or sexual than I thought.
It feels weird. I don't know if that might have just been what I was bringing to it.
That's funny. I think a lot of it got.
But I'll be honest, a little bit hot.
You know, I was turned on.
That was a mother and daughter.
It was a mother and daughter that calls the mother and dad.
Okay.
So dadder.
Sometimes people go by dad.
So even more hot?
So yeah, I was going to say, that doesn't make it less hot.
You know, it's not up to us when people get horny.
Fair enough.
They listen to our podcast.
I'm just curious that that's part of the process.
Well, it's funny you bring this up.
Yes.
Sean, can we ask you a similar question?
Sure, sure, sure.
Maybe over the last, let's go back 30 years.
Wait, before you get into this, I just wanted to say,
I felt uncomfortable that you or John were giving these guys a note
because for two reasons.
One is, what bottom line, whether you want to nitpick,
how it got sexual in the end or whatever,
they delivered on what they promised.
Absolutely.
Thank you.
And whatever the routes, they got to the destiny.
Like, don't question the manner in which they deliver
what they said they're going to deliver.
They did take a turn through Hornetown.
And the second,
reason why I was uncomfortable is they've been doing this since a day before comedy bang bang,
aka a very long time. I think they've figured out how to do what they do.
Listen. Yeah. And they're not going to change it right now. Thank you, David. I appreciate that,
David. Thank you. Thank you for putting it into perspective. I was just offering my,
my own. By the way, and by the way, no hard feelings, obviously. You're offering your two cents,
which it was worth about that much. Two whole cents. Yeah. So now back to they were going to help you out.
Yeah. And thank you. Thank you for defending us.
What's the most?
And David, can I just offer one note?
You interrupted my process, which I thought was very, you know, sort of self-centered of you.
John, I am 45 years old.
I think I know how to live my life the way I want to live it.
Scott, do you see what's happening here?
Scott, do you see how magical this is?
I mean, it's opened up conversation here.
Absolutely.
Has anything like this ever happened on your podcast before?
It's beautiful.
It's made, you know, normally arguing on this show.
This entire process has made David like 10 years younger.
John, 30.
Think that 30 years in the last 30 years.
What's the most traumatic thing that's ever happened?
Something traumatic.
Something traumatic.
Well, I can think back.
What about when Mad Men was canceled?
That would have been very traumatic.
Had it happened.
Oh, I thought it was canceled.
Because the ending was so weird.
I assumed it was canceled.
It was weirdly perfect, I think, is what you're saying.
Oh, okay.
That's what I meant.
Classic canceled show talking point.
We just.
it when we wanted to.
You're not wrong. You're not wrong.
I was having,
it was actually during right around
when I started Mad Men.
I live in this neighborhood, very hilly neighborhood.
Don't give away my assassination coordinates.
No, no, no, no, no. Never, ever would I do that.
L.A., famously a city with a lot of hills.
There is one hill here, though, yes.
2133 North Greenview, right, Scott?
I live on one tree hill. Everyone knows that.
It's true.
9-210.
Barely Hills 90210.
I,
like I said,
live in a very hilly part of the thing.
I happened to me going out one day
and riding my big wheel.
An adult big wheel.
Very,
very,
very cool thing to have back to the middle.
You can get those made by the corporation
if you're a celebrity.
It's like an American Express.
Stephen or David Mattel.
Yeah.
They will make you
an adult big wheel.
Brothers?
This is a collaboration.
Oh, yeah, the Mattel Brothers.
Not the Parker brothers.
Do not ask the Parker brothers.
These are the brothers who have the big idea.
What if we made a sexy blonde doll?
Exactly.
And then Barbie was born.
And then there you go.
Yeah.
I mean, tremendous guys.
I love brothers, don't you?
Love those guys.
If you have trouble remembering it, just look around you.
You live in the Econel Lodge, Motel, and then just think Motel, Motel, Mattel.
Now you remember.
Thank you, David.
Thank you, David.
A lot of notes.
A lot of notes during my story did.
We have one ally in this room.
We really do.
And I'm so grateful for that, David.
For what it's worth, John, I was going to, I had several different points when I was maybe going to interrupt your story.
Yeah.
But I chose not to.
So you have to give him credit for that.
No, I trust me.
For the times he didn't interrupt.
Yeah.
And then I only did when it was important, the thing about remembering the motel.
Like now.
Now, John, what happened on this adult big wheel?
No, please, Scott.
Now, John, what happened on this big, this big ride?
So, open my garage door.
And my driveway is very steep.
And it leads right into a to a hill also very steep at the end of which there is this beautiful
this beautiful pond sitting heading down I start to pedal people don't realize once you start
pedaling a big wheel there's no there's no chain there's no gears they're every everything
I immediately lose control before they made the breaks before the breaks yeah they did not come up
with that technology before who made the brakes the Mattel the Mattel brothers
This was not the brakes.
Those are the brakes.
Break it up, break it up, break it down.
So can you do anything with that story or?
Well, no, hold on.
Oh, there's more.
There's more, Scott.
If you were in the drama with us, you would feel it.
There's more.
So as I'm hurtling toward this pond, thinking, well, there's no way I'm going to turn in time.
I crank the wheel hard, as hard as I can to the right, I avoid the pond.
I go right into the sewer
Oh no
Where Pennywise lives
Fortunately
There was no clowns in the sewer
But I got filthy
Fillsy dirty
With pissing shit and stuff
With shit
Think about what's coming down
And just dripping and dropping
Oh Los Angeles
Did you guys take a shit this morning?
I have
It's similar to that
We take shits at the exact same time.
We have toilets right next to each other.
Are you in the same room?
We're in the same room.
Of course we are.
We're divorced.
In the Akano Lodge, they have rooms that have two toilets right next to.
They're called princess toilets.
And we sit like the grandparents in Willie and Willie Wonka in the chocolate factory.
How they sleep.
Head to toe.
Head to toe.
But we shit.
But we shit.
Our legs are up.
This totally makes sense.
Reclining.
And it's a bed.
It's a bed.
Well, I've heard that.
A lot of couples these days, they shit while they're sleeping because they sleep on their
stomachs and the shit just gathers on their butt.
And then they just cleaned up in the market.
That's what was happening to us.
It's actually really good.
I read about that in Domino.
That sounds healthy.
We gathered.
We gathered so much shit.
Oh, no.
Can I ask though, guys, now can you do anything with this story?
Yes.
Can I get this?
I have one comment.
David, do you have another comment?
Which is just that I was so relieved when I was.
heard that you had avoided the pond, especially having gone through what I went through, which you
guys heard about a little while ago. Now, were you relieved when you void? Yes. Okay, good.
Then, though, it was such a dark twist when I heard that you went into, I believe it was a sewer.
Sewer. And that really just made it. Some stories harder. Have twists like that, and that's what we're
going to. And Scott, you can, you can go ahead and start the music. Okay. Now, there is a two-second
gap before it starts. And there we go.
Uh, and, uh, here we go.
It should never happen at our studio.
And here we go.
Scene.
Scene.
What the fuck is this?
It's a birthday cake.
On my birthday?
I thought you wanted that.
I told you I wanted a pie.
You also told me you like to be surprised.
So I thought maybe, maybe I'll give you what you don't know.
you need. What could that possibly be? A fucking cake? Yeah, take a bite out of it. You'll see what's in the
middle. Ow! A Barbie doll. I cut my teeth. Yeah? Well, we get what we deserve, don't we?
Ow. I'm going out tonight with my friends. Where are you going to go? To that stupid bar? John's
place. I'm going to John's place and I'm going to get drunk. I got nothing to live for anymore. That was my last
chance at making something out of our relationship.
I want to divorce
on your birthday.
I told you. I can't get divorced.
It's illegal in Oklahoma.
Shit. Well, then I guess I'll stay with you.
Okay. I love you.
I love you too. What are you doing?
I'm coming in for a kiss.
Holy shit.
Take my shirt off.
There you go.
Oh, God.
What are you going to say?
I'm ready to take our relationship to the next level.
Okay, mom.
It's seen.
It's seen.
Okay.
Okay, there's some stuff to unpack there.
And by the way, a lot of emotions.
A lot of emotions came up.
Do you want to?
Not a lot regarding the big wheel, I have to say.
Or the sewer.
John.
Do you want to put your shirt back on before we continue?
I should probably put mine on.
I was fine.
Everyone took their shirts.
You guys can all put them back on.
Okay, thanks.
Will we judge who has the best body first?
It's his heated rivalry, okay?
Okay, I'm sorry.
I thought the second scene was good, maybe not as good.
Wait, you're giving notes.
It's a bold choice, David.
You're flat out doing what.
John, how do you feel?
Now, as I was saying, a lot of emotions came up for me there.
What was popping up for you?
A lot of confusion.
That's another sound of emotion.
I think we all felt that.
But I did.
did see the connection came through, which was very nice. And I found that if we all, if only all
of our relationships had Oklahoma in common, then maybe there wouldn't be so much goddamn
sadness in this world. And also every conversation we ever had was underscored by cats meowing
Billy Eilish. I think that the world would be better, wouldn't it? Absolutely. Can I just say,
though, your story
was about
expectations.
That's right. And that's where we were
going with that. When you said that you
flew into the sewer and you
were covered in shit and piss and stuff. And shit,
piss, cum, toilet paper.
I think he mentioned
come. Really didn't.
We knew you had problems
with your mom. I could tell.
We wanted to dive into that.
That's so beautiful. That is something.
That is something. That is really something.
special. How do you feel? How do you feel? Uh, lighter. Lighter. A lot lighter emotionally. You released it. Yeah,
yeah. I feel like I've released all of it. Also physically, did you expel any liquids? Tears,
come. Come. I got to check. Let me just, let me check. Ooh, yeah. I had a brief pre-com in the
middle of it, but it's, it was so little that I didn't need to. This is my story. Oh, how
pre. This is John Hampton. How free and how brief. It was like, it was like. It was like,
Probably three, four, five seconds.
So we teased you.
That's good.
So David had a small spurt.
David had a small spurt just by my virtue of being next to me.
And I had a full release.
Wow.
Full release.
But it was out of the back door.
So I should probably get cleaned up.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
And sorry.
We'll get Claude in here to clean that up.
We'll get Claude in here.
You know, Claude can bring in some some dude wipes.
That would be great.
You know, we are running up on a break.
here. So I think all of us should probably clean up if that's okay. That makes sense.
You know, and, but can you guys stick around? Is that? Absolutely. Scott. We still have to get to you.
The most damaged. Can I ask this? Because it feels like there's been some healing between these two podcasts.
I don't know that. I, I, I, we're open to that. Yeah, and we are open to that. I'm not really
open to. We're open. Before we go to break, though, I really, I really, I wanted to. Did we cover what we
really wanted to during this segment? And if we did, then let's go to the break. I,
feel like we did.
And unfortunately, we don't have time to really unpack whether we did or did not.
Scott just tells.
Unfortunately, we do have to go to a break, but...
Do you ever think about us?
Do you ever?
Think about us.
When you're in your bed with your big headphones on and your big microphones stuffed in your
mouth, so you're going to sleep.
You got to go to the bathroom, but you're too lazy to get your fat ass out of that water bed.
So you just piss right there all over your water bed.
You just piss all over your...
And it just falls right onto the ground.
And you think, this isn't that bad.
You know, I'm a 65-year-old man.
This isn't that bad.
I'm a 65-year-old man pissing on myself in bed because I'm too lazy to get my fat ass out of my waterbed.
And that's not that bad.
What's the question?
Do I think about you then?
I lost bad.
I'm sorry.
No, I don't, actually.
But you know what I do think about?
We do have to take a break.
Okay.
And-
you at all.
Yes,
thank you,
John.
When we come back,
we're going to have
more with Pete and,
sorry,
Peter and Petty,
Tucson, more David Wayne,
more John Hamm.
We'll be right back
with more
Comedy Bang Bang after this.
Comedy Bang, Bang,
Bang, we're back.
We have John Hamm and David Wayne
of Gail Daughtry
and the celebrity
sex pass.
Opening soon.
Friday.
Yes, out on Friday.
And, of course,
the Madman in the 80s also.
Now do we want?
I want to talk about what happened on America's birthday, the 250th?
Yeah, yeah.
I feel like it's right there.
Today's July 6 and now we have the...
Or is it too much?
Is it the Cesquid Centennial?
Cesquitennial.
That's what it was on a couple of days ago, yeah.
Sure.
I'll tell you what I did is I was with my family and we went to see fireworks.
Okay.
Yeah.
I feel like every time you were with your family there's fireworks.
Oh yeah.
Tell me about it.
Sheesh.
Yeah, or maybe we, I mean, so much happened.
So much happened.
much to unpack. Yeah, a couple of days ago, obviously, all of the... All of the stuff and the things.
Oh, my God, the stuff. I just don't want to... I don't want to give it short shrift, but I also know...
We obviously want to acknowledge it, so it doesn't sound like we're recording this.
Way ahead of time. Yeah, no, it happens. It definitely happened. It happened. We know it happened.
We all were there. We all were there, and we're acknowledging it and saying, we saw it, you saw it.
I think let's acknowledge it, but then for the rest of the time, let's just pretend we're back in mid-April.
Exactly. We're in mid-April. Yeah. In a simpler time.
We all just paid our taxes to this wonderful republic that never lets us down.
No, we don't need to think about what happened just two days ago.
Of course not.
We also have Peter and Petey Tucson are here.
Scott.
What's the most traumatic thing that's ever happened to you?
Ever in your life.
And I want to know.
Including deaths of loved ones?
You can throw those in, sure.
Whatever works.
Maybe comedy bang, bang, TV show being canceled.
Wow.
That's worse than someone dying?
Yeah, probably.
It's like a death.
It's like a death.
You mourn it.
Oh, obviously, you guys have never made a TV version of your show.
Sounds like it.
Yeah.
It's like a death.
You got to mourn it.
I'm so sorry, Scott.
It's been 10 years for me.
Still haven't gotten over it.
10 years since it was canceled.
Wow.
10 years.
That's really an open wound and I can tell.
Yeah.
Start the music.
No.
Yeah, go ahead and press the music.
No, we have to get to our next guest.
Scott, go ahead and press.
I really don't.
I mean, I don't think that we have time to actually
We'll make it a long one.
Oh, geez.
Oh, brother.
What's wrong, Scott?
You seem down in the dumps.
Oh, my show got canceled today.
Your show?
You mean your podcast?
Comedy Bangback?
You don't even know that I had a TV show?
Oh, the TV show version.
That's right.
This is part of the problem, I guess.
Even my own wife didn't know I had a TV show.
Shut the fuck up, you little bitch.
Wow.
Hey.
What?
I needed that.
That's right, you did.
I can go on without the show, right?
That's right.
I'm important.
Look down at your legs.
You see those?
Those are bootstraps.
It's hard to see it over this fat hog.
Go ahead and grab those bootstraps and I want you to pull them so hard.
You see that?
You picked yourself right back up.
I'm going to keep going with this comedy podcast.
I'm going to force jokes every day.
Yeah.
Make people.
laugh. Okay, Scott. Because you weren't doing that on TV. You have to do the audio.
Okay. Hey. Hey.
Guess what? What?
Someday, 10 years from now, I'm going to change my podcast to a more dramatic format.
And you know what? You're going to take two hosts with you.
And I'm going to pay them just as much.
Okay. That's a deal. Hey, what did you make for dinner?
A hot
A hot bowl of cold soup
See
I mean
Pretty accurate of Kulap's personality
The study of Kahn-
How do you feel, Scott?
Scott, did it help?
Did we get you there?
I guess it honestly made me a little hungry
For that hot cold soup
The big bowl
The hot hot cold soup
Yeah
I kind of do think that
represents the metaphor, the yin yang of everything. It's a hot bowl of cold soup.
You know, we need to get to our next guest, David, if that's all right. Oh, I'm the one
holding things up. Okay. He, look, he's one of our favorite guests. I don't know that he's
entering the 13-timer club necessarily, but he's certainly been on two or three times before.
You know him as a former member of the National Football League as a player, currently a coach in a
different league, please welcome Coach Prime, Dionne Sanders.
Scott, let me ask you something.
Yeah.
Scott, what's the most traumatic thing you remember from your whole other?
I think we actually, uh, we actually just covered.
No, because I got to know.
I got to know it.
Scott, what's the most traumatic thing?
You have to tell me right now.
What's the most traumatic that you ever had?
I, uh, well, you know, I, uh, probably having that TV show canceled was, uh,
really set me back.
And what was that?
Uh, comedy bang, being,
television production. That was on TV too?
That was on TV. Oh man.
Put the music.
You know about the music? Is that
I mean, I don't know that's...
Oh, gee. Wow.
All right. I set the scene.
It's an airplane.
Okay. And a white cat lady
A baby's crying.
And so she threw that cat out the window.
Okay.
The cat gets picked up by an old cat
Grandmama lady. Okay.
raised to become a billionaire.
Okay.
And that other cat lady comes back to find the other cat lady and say, I'm sorry that I threw you out the plane.
Got it.
Okay.
And that cat lady say, I'm not looking for you.
Okay, got it.
I need dogs.
Scott, what's going on with you?
That was setting the scene?
I got lost on you raised to be a billionaire part.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, she got it out of mud.
Okay.
That cat lady got it after mud.
And she took care of her cat grandma.
Yeah, that's good to see.
Yeah.
Hey, Coach Prime,
wonderful to have you back on the show.
Thank you.
You've been on the show many times.
You look for dogs.
I need dogs, Scott.
Yeah.
It's almost time.
Football season is almost here.
That's right.
We're in preseason now or we're not even close.
Okay, we're in the post preseason.
Post-post season.
Okay.
Got it.
AKA the off season.
Okay.
Yes, that's an easier way to say.
Now, today I'm going to be describing AI videos.
Oh, sure.
Okay, which one?
A bunch.
Okay.
Now, play the music.
Okay, okay.
Now, bearing in mind, there is a two-second delay before this actually starts.
Oh, he knows.
He comes on our pod all the time.
All the time, I'm a frequent guest.
Now, there's an onion man who's having a baby with a cucumber lady.
Okay.
But the baby don't come out looking like him.
Okay.
The baby comes out looking like an eggplant.
Now, in AI world, that's represented as a black person.
Okay.
So now the onion man is upset.
Okay.
Slaps his cucumber wife.
But then she, a nurse down the hall hears about this.
And the nurse is a big white cat.
Okay.
And he comes and saves her, raises the little baby.
But then 25 years, and they raised the baby to a billionaire.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
And then he comes back.
The onion man comes back.
Say, I miss you, kid.
I miss you, son.
Got it.
And that son
don't want that on your daddy no more.
Right.
All right, you cut it off.
Are these, is this like parables
or a story?
This is AI videos that you've seen?
You got to think about it, David.
No, I do.
And by the way, I have not been here
at the same time as you, but I'm a fan
and glad to meet you in person.
Are you a dog?
Are you a dog?
Because I need dogs.
I need a quarterback at Colorado University this year.
Yeah, David, what position did you?
Uh-oh.
Hold on now we can't hear you.
Hold on. John, oh yeah, I turned your, I turned your mic down.
I've been known.
Just because.
Now, see, they're just playing on disrespectful.
Wow.
That's just playing on this.
This is a different setup than I'm used to.
I've been known to be a tight end from time to time.
Oh, David.
We got plenty of those.
David.
Now, what were you going to say, John?
I was going to ask David what position he played when he played football because I know he played.
Yeah, you played for several years for Notre Dame, right?
Yeah, but I was always on the, like, the championship team.
Oh, okay.
So it's a different thing.
So that's different.
You got to understand, Scott.
Playing for it, and you call it, as you call it, Notre Dame.
Yes, I have Notre Dame.
What do you call it when there's a hunchback there?
And what do you call it when there's football players?
I was on the team where we were predicting all the things that would happen in the future.
That's Mr. Domas, but I think that it's an understandable mistake.
Well, I was on that team, though.
We were all doing, I was helping, you know, he delegated some of the lesser predictions to me.
Yeah, well, did you ever predict you would be on a podcast talking about AI video?
That was the main prediction.
I was going to say.
That was the main.
prediction? That was a main one. Play the music guy.
Oh, okay. Let's say
let me make sure everything's turned up. There we
go. All right, it's David Wayne, but he's an onion.
Okay?
And he's in the hospital, his wife,
who is also another
a, let's say his wife this time
is another type of vegetable.
I don't forget most of them.
A carrot. The wife
is a carrot, thank you so much.
Or a zucchini. That could be fun of it.
Let's go with carrot. The wife is a carrot, but the
baby comes out as a zucchini.
Oh, man.
But that ain't, David Wayne is an onion.
So he's mad as hell.
So he throws the baby out the window of the hospital.
Got it.
Oh, geez.
It's caught by a grandma,
sure, who's a big black cat.
Okay.
Now, she raised her baby up to become a billion.
To be a billionaire.
But David Wayne wants up of that money.
Because David Wayne got to write movies.
And that money can help fund the movies.
You know what I mean?
Got it.
And so he says, all right, I'm your real daddy.
I'm on you, David Wayne.
and the baby say
I don't need you
but I have seen your films
I enjoy them
now you go ahead
turn that off
I'm just curious
I do have a question
about the AI videos
when it's an onion
anna's in a carrot
normally
what is the baby
normally going to be
well see
it should be either
suck attach
yeah it should be succotash
yeah
it should be succotage
corn corn comes in
so it's multiple things
it's a cooked dish
yeah yeah
yeah it's corn
well trust me that's what they always say
this baby is fully cooked ready to come out that's what they say about nine months you'll learn that
later yeah i can't imagine what that would be like congratulations to our friends out there by the way
they're doing so good they're doing so good um what got you so interested in AI videos
here's what got me interested in AI video yeah because you got to understand you're not thinking
about the future okay AI is important AI is going to be in every home and auto and
In the future.
Right.
What about football?
Is AI going to be part of football?
We got a couple of AI players this year.
You don't say, really?
Like the Tilly Norwoods of the football?
Tilly-No, Grock came out.
Oh, really?
Rock.
Grock's playing these guys?
Rob Grockowski.
Rob Grockowski is his name.
He played tight in.
That's why I said, we can't have that.
Yeah, we already got that.
I have a buddy told me that they're going to start putting AI in laptop computers.
Yes or no?
Yes.
Absolutely.
All the laptop computers are going to have AI in them, Scott.
And you got to be.
Now I've seen everything.
This podcast is going to be AI at some point?
I don't know that I mind that, quite honestly.
You,
because you ain't got to pay nobody.
I know that.
You don't want to have to pay nobody.
That's already the case.
We already get laid off from Comedy Bang Man.
But he makes us come in and record a series of words.
Do you mind recording this entire dictionary for me?
Coach Prime before you leave.
All right.
I just do two.
Ardvark.
Ardvark and Xylophone.
The rest you can figure it out.
If you get to.
get it from nothing you can't you ain't gonna get it just going backwards madman itself was a series
of words in many ways okay now can i ask you a question can i change the most the worst thing that's
ever happened to me mr john ham i got a question for you coach why was them being so mad
well it's an interesting it's a it's a great question and it's one that's never come up it's never
come up but boy it's uh it's it's the answer is quite simple mr ham would prefer to
talk about his newer show.
What is that?
Your friends and neighbors.
Okay.
Why are they so mad and mad?
Now that one, they are a little cranky,
mostly because they lost their job.
But in Mad Men, they weren't exactly mad.
Okay.
They might have been a little perturbed.
They might have been a little upset.
Yeah.
But I would never go so far to say mad.
I don't know.
I saw this one scene where one of the characters,
I forget who it was, shouted something like,
that's what the money is for.
Now, at that point, he was angry.
He was angry.
Okay.
Oh, he's angry, but not mad.
But he calmed down.
And then, and that's, that's where the spin-off started a show called Angry Boys.
Angry Boys.
And that's where that came from.
That's where the game Angry Birds came from.
And Angry Birds came out of Angry Boys.
So now this gets back into AI because those birds, they were so mad at pigs.
Yes.
And you go, what's the, what is the natural animosity between these two seemingly disparate species?
Sure, they usually don't pay any attention to each other.
Well, they're just, they're just angry.
They're just angry.
Because the birds wanted some of that bag bacon.
Oh.
But they couldn't get to it.
Uh-huh.
So the skin was tough.
And they had to knock them out.
The skin was too tough.
Yeah.
But at back baking.
When you see Angry Birds, do you get any ideas for like calling plays based on it, you know?
I mean.
Why would you think that's?
I don't know.
Why would that do something that came up?
I look at all the plays.
You look at plays and O's.
And yeah.
And I just think this looks like Angry Birds.
Well, there are some plays, some plays that you want the big bird that crashes through the middle.
Uh-huh.
Some plays you want to drop a bird that drops a bomb.
Like maybe King Lear?
now what are we talking about
I don't know
I'm trying to come on out
and talk to my boys I need you to come out and talk to boys
I need dogs and you can bring the dog out of these boys
yeah
I'd love to I'd love to come out
you're still Colorado right
still at Colorado I need dogs
And your son is no longer playing for you
No he plays with a Cleveland rounds
Okay and what was he in the draft
What round?
Fifth round
Okay how's that make you feel like you're making fun of him
Scott no hey hey correct me if I'm wrong
That's where Tom Brady went
Tom Brady win the sixth.
So you're saying Chodor better than Tom Brady?
I am saying that, absolutely.
Tell me something.
Do you kiss your son the way that Tom Brady kisses his?
All over his goddamn face.
Wait, you kiss Tom Brady that way or your son that way?
My son.
Oh, okay.
How do you kiss Tom Brady?
Play the music.
Here we go.
Now, when I kiss Tom Brady, I look at him in his eyes.
and what I do is I walk over to my record play
and I put on a little Shaboozy.
Okay.
By the way, would it surprise you to learn
that I've learned who he is
since your first appearance?
Shout out Shabuzzi, man.
Yeah.
Shout out Shabuzi.
You got to love Shabuzzi.
He turned it on and I say,
Tom, get on over here.
Put some of this Vaseline on your lips.
Because we're about to get down.
Now, you can go ahead and turn that on.
Okay.
Thank you.
Are you, in fact, tipsy when this happens?
Everybody in the club getting tipsy.
That's fair.
That's fair.
everybody in the bar getting tipsy
now what are your plans for this season
because I mean obviously it's a rebuilding year
rebuilding year we got a lot
we don't have a lot of players come in
and we didn't have a lot of players go
and that happens in college
is not everyone just sticks out of college
all the players want to get paid now
yes you know what I mean
name image and likeness right
name image and likeness right now does AI
help with with rebuilding
it does because what you do is
you put in Jet DBT say chat I need dogs
and they just give you a list
It just spits out dogs
Yeah
Now because it ain't smart enough yet
To give you actual football players
Oh it's just
Have you tried
Have you tried typing in DAWGS
Because that might give you a lot of players
Now John handle you don't you get disrespect with me
You know I
You know I type it in DAWGF
Fair enough
I didn't want to say
D AWGZ
That's even better
But unfortunately it still is spitting out things like airbud
And Benji
Air Bud and all that type of stuff
Air Bud go to retriever
Yeah
Wide retriever
Wide retriever
Wide retriever
Wide retriever.
Wide retriever.
The golden receiver.
You thought it's golden retriever first.
That'd be a strange movie title.
Airbud, golden retriever.
D-A-W-G-Z.
Yes, that's right.
So you type that in.
You know what else got a Z in it?
What's that?
Shibuzi.
Shout out Shabuzzi.
Shout out Sibuzy.
Sing when it's song, Scott.
Everybody at Boggin' Dempsey, right?
Thank you.
Yeah, I learned who he is.
You did a little bit.
Sing another one, Scott.
Uh-oh.
also the word maize has a z mays definitely yeah they call it corn yep not that that does not have a z
that version of it it does absolutely does yes it does i tricked you that's right it also has the m and the
a hey and the e and the e what a wonderful word to have so many vowels what a wonderful frankie beverly and
maize was a band with a lot of corn in it that's right yeah um and don't laugh because the word the word
ocean also has a lot of vowels it really does so does assaie now let me ask you something uh let me
me bid you adieu.
Now, see, that is always my first word on word.
On wordal, yeah.
What is always your first word on wordal, Dave and Wayne?
Swastika.
Way too many.
Way too many.
It rarely works.
You shorten it, though, in your own way.
No, I tried to type it in every time and it never takes it.
Swast.
I think it's because they're too woke.
Yeah.
The New York Times, that's one thing you say about them, right?
You can definitely say that about the New York Times.
I don't read that mess.
It's a failing rag, you know.
The gray lady.
So do you have any plans, though, of how you're going to get new players?
Yeah, how is the rebuild going to be?
Okay, so here's what going to happen.
Yeah.
I'm going to have you.
I'm going to show y'all's movie to him.
And I'm going to say, I know those guys.
Pick any one of them.
I'm going to show one of the movies.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
I guess I mean any of the actors.
You get, like, if you had to pick any of the actors to play.
But he's going to show the new movie, Gayle Dottry and the Celebrity Sex Pass opening this Friday.
I'm going to show him that.
Okay.
And I'm going to say, you see this movie?
Mm-hmm.
You see what David Wayne did?
Mm-hmm.
He picked the cats full of dogs.
And I need dogs.
Ben Wang.
Ben Wang.
Dog.
Dog.
Dog.
Dog.
Ken Marino.
Ken Marino.
Damn, damn, dog.
Mm-hmm.
John Slattery.
John Slattery.
Dog is hell.
Woo.
Woo.
Everyone else?
Play the music, Scott.
Okay.
There we go.
You got to understand this.
Now, Scott,
I know everybody knows this.
But I don't need no cats on this team.
Mm.
You're not Andrew Lloyd-Weber.
Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, I need dogs.
Turn it off, Scott, you cut that up.
You're playing that too much.
I know that we've said this before, but Peter and I would love to audition for the team.
Yeah?
Yeah.
You want to audition for the team?
Any.
Any position.
Is that what they call it an audition?
Well, sometimes they call tryouts.
But, you know, when you get to...
Essentially an audition.
Is anyone offer only in football?
They're all off all the people in football.
You know when you get the type of people like,
like David Wayne's the show that he don't like,
he's a rivalry for the reason he don't like it.
When you get to, they like the audition.
I'd say I didn't like it.
I just said I heard something about it
that might have been giving me pause.
That's all.
Pause.
Pause like a dog.
Pause.
Pause.
Pause.
Miss me with that.
All right.
Well, audition. The floor is yours.
So you're giving us these scripts?
I'm sure you got the sides already in your emails.
Play the music.
Okay.
How's the tech work I have to do on this show?
Turning down John, everything else.
Yeah.
What are you doing here after hours?
Well, I wanted to talk to you.
About my game?
We really liked what you did on the field today.
I was doing all my backspins and my flips.
You did a lot of backspins.
You did a tremendous amount of flips.
I'd like to go hard for the team.
Well, we have one question for you before we can sign you.
What's that?
How big of a dog are you?
Rough.
Rough.
Sorry, I had something in my throat.
Oh, it's okay.
It was perfect.
All right, fresh out the shower.
What the hell of y'all do in my office?
Oh, coach.
Yes, I am butnicket.
Holy God, look at that hog.
Oh, yeah. I can barely see my legs for it.
It's like a kickstand. He's just propped up.
Yeah, watch this.
Don't don't do-d-doch-d-do-ch-a-don-to-ch-a-do.
He's leaning over like Michael Jackson.
Are you okay?
Coach, are you okay?
That thing has wheels.
John Ham's here.
Wow.
And I guess I am, too.
We're all here.
I'm finally got the dogs I need.
And David's here
And he just
He got a transfer portal from Notre Dame
Well, we better all put our pants back on, guys,
because we got a game to win
We got a game.
I need dogs.
Shout-out Shabuzzi on three.
One, two, three.
Shaboozy!
Don't chum-dook-a-down.
All right, you go ahead, turn that off.
They're not a mess-off.
So who made it?
Who made the team?
Yeah, I mean, we were all in the audition.
all five of us.
Everybody made me,
D.
Everybody made the rehearsals start Monday.
Team rehearsals.
Team rehearsals are Monday.
You're going to tape off the floor.
I have a thing until 10.
Can I be there a little late?
Yeah.
I need dogs, man.
What do you have, David?
What's going on?
What is it?
I have shock therapy.
Shock therapy.
Yeah.
And I have a hard out at 1016.
Oh, that's crazy now.
Yeah.
We can get some of your stuff done,
but make sure you all come all.
Playbook.
Okay.
Yeah.
Oh,
I'm getting in my email here.
Scott,
I want to start a new podcast on your network called Off Playbook.
Off Playbook?
It's my makeup songs about football.
Okay.
Honestly,
it's not the worst idea.
No,
I want to do it because then you're going to make me do 20 episodes.
Make you.
Hey,
well,
we got 26 teams,
right?
So,
oh,
you got 32 teams.
Wait,
you know,
we should,
uh,
Maybe I should do that.
Make up one, 32 episodes.
It's just a 500 podcast.
And I make one song per team.
Let me know when you're going to do one about the Chargers.
San Diego Super Chargers.
You ever heard that?
That's a song that already exists, I presume.
Yeah, play it on YouTube.
Oh, all right.
I hope you love ads.
You still don't pay for...
Scott, you're making all this damn money.
You don't pay for free YouTube.
San Diego Chargers song?
Is that how I would look it up?
San Diego Superchargers, 1979.
All right.
here we go.
Oh, no ad on that.
I guess they haven't figured out
how to monetize it.
That is deeply 70s.
Wow.
Now, David Wayne, what do you think about this?
I love it.
I was remembering me growing up in Cleveland,
there was a great song about Super Joe Charbonneau.
Who?
Where?
He was the
quarterback.
Wow.
Here you go.
Who are these women singing?
Hell of I know.
Probably three degrees.
Now play the L.A. Rams one.
Is there a Rams one?
What's that one?
It's called ram it.
Oh, ram it from the 80s.
Very different.
Let's ram it.
Yep.
Ram it, you see, if you ram it just right, you can ram it all night.
Whoa.
This is very different.
If you ram it just right, you can ram it all night.
Now play silver and black attack.
The latest.
Okay, sure.
It feels like a lot of your work has been done for you already on this podcast.
Who me?
I've said enough.
Okay, that's starting with an NFL 86 halftime with Bob Costis.
Oh, not, I'll take it too low.
You got too bad hours.
Now, Coach, did you ever come out with this song?
Because I remember you had a burgeoning run.
Play my mom.
Must be the money.
Must be the money?
Okay, must be the money.
Karaoke style.
There we go.
All right, here we go.
And this is all got made with MC Hammer.
There you are.
Boy, you look so young.
Sounds great.
You sound great.
One earring on.
You look like a genie.
Now I'm wearing two in the same ear.
Looking in the mirror.
You remember this, Scott?
No.
What was you doing when this came out?
1993.
93?
Probably getting pussy.
Too busy for this.
And I bet you was playing this to get it.
You pull up in the club?
Scott pull up in his all.
Baltimore playing this.
Oh, I couldn't afford an
Ultima. I remember when I first got to
Hollywood in 93, go to the
singles bars. There's Scott Ackerman
there, just trailing up all the
pussy.
Just trailing it up. Leaving a trail like a snail.
Disgusted.
Hey, that was me
back then. Just disgusting.
Is that all they want? He was leaving the trail?
He wouldn't even the trail.
They would drive the boat. He should have
that looked at. It was a 90s slang that
meant like sopping it up.
Well, Coach Brime.
A lot of road meat.
A lot of road beef, my dear friend.
Coach Brime, it's so wonderful to have you here with us.
It's good to be back.
Yeah, it truly is.
You need to check in with us more often because I honestly, I don't keep track of the
scores.
I don't know how your team did over the last few years.
You don't look at the scores.
Good.
Now, I'll record.
You don't look at the scores.
Yeah, that's all it wants.
The scores.
I'll figure out your record myself from the scores.
You guys look at the score.
Scott, why are we screwing around?
Let's just ask right now.
Coach Prime, will you come back and see this again sometime?
Absolutely, I'll come back.
All right.
Wow, that was really good evening.
Thank you, David.
I was too scared to say it.
I appreciate it.
We got David Williams.
I'll start a quarterback next season.
That's right.
We got John Hammond's starting tailback.
That's right.
We got Pity and Peter.
Ensemble.
Two golden retrievers.
We're in the chorus.
Peter and Pity is two golden retrievers.
Two wide retrievers.
Well, guys, we are running out of time.
Unfortunately, we only have time for one final feature.
That is, of course, a little thing called plugs.
The perfect length, eight seconds.
That was Dumb Dumb Malice by 62 with the X capitalized.
62. Thank you so much.
If you have a plugs theme, head over to CBBWorld.com slash plugs.
What do we plug?
and obviously John and David.
Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass
coming out this Friday at a theater near you.
July 6th.
July 6th.
It's not 6th.
10th.
This Friday the 10th.
And we know that because it is July 6th today.
Today is the 6th.
And we just...
J6.
Yeah, J6.
Never ever...
I have another little thing to promote them.
Okay.
Which is in a couple of weeks.
Oh, I have all...
It doesn't need it.
It's got its own agent.
Because it's so big.
And I get so much...
sex. In a couple of weeks, you know, I have this band, a middle-aged dad jam band with Ken Marino. It's a super fun night, and we're doing our
summer tour that we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of wet, hot American summer, which is also
coming out again in theaters this year. Amazing. But we're going to be in Rehoboth on July 22nd,
and then we're going to Amagansett and Irving Plaza in New York City and Rhode Island and Waterville,
Maine that week. So you've got to come check it out. Fun, fun, fun, until the dad band takes the
Tiber to weigh. That's right. You do a lot of Beach Boy songs? We, if you come,
we will harmonize the beach boys.
Will you really? In perfect harmony?
If you come. If you come.
To one of those cities? To one of those cities.
What were the cities you were mentioning? Amagansett.
New York City.
Restorly Rhode Island. Waterville, Maine.
Which is where wet hot American summer takes place.
You got to do Kokomo.
Yeah. You would think he would stuff in Kokomo.
If you did Kokomo, do you think John Stamos would come up and drum with you?
It has happened.
It's already happened?
I didn't. Okay. Now I gave it away.
Buried the lead.
Oh my God.
Gosh, this is amazing.
More of those things could happen should you happen to go see the middle-aged dadband.
Now, that being said...
John Stamos is in our movie, they came together, I believe.
I think you're right.
By our movie, you mean you and me.
Well, I think of it.
I think of it that way.
I saw it and you made it.
Yeah, but that's a collaboration.
Yeah, you know, collaboration between you and the audience.
Between audience and creator.
And guy who was not asked to be in it.
It was not.
Wasn't even too busy.
I would have gladly.
I love that.
I think you're a little bit busy around that time.
Well, David, as the only movie director who's ever offered me a part, and I was too busy
to do it, I appreciate your work, and I hope this is a big hit.
You're still on speed dial, Scott, I can tell you.
I love that.
What do you hope is more of a success, the movie or these dates with your band?
I'm going to go with the movie, Scott.
Okay.
Thank you.
And I would like to just say.
it right now and if it goes nowhere then that's on me but i'd love to come back here again sometime david i
would love to have you all right great season two of your friends and neighbors out on apple tv plus i don't
even think they call it apple tv plus anymore i think it's just called apple tv yeah so if you have an
extra thousand dollars a month it's it's not that expensive it's not that expensive it's like
nine hundred you can get a free seven-day trial and just oh but after that seven suddenly it's like
oh my god what's this two thousand dollar charge on my card after that is that's a little
Is that show Severance?
Because I love that.
Yeah.
Nope.
Same platform, but my show is called your friends and neighbors.
Well, if it's severance, that is a great show.
It's not severance.
I just want to make sure everybody out there knows that this is not.
Adam Scott.
Adam Scott's wonderful in a show called Severance.
This is not that.
Okay.
All right.
Well, I thought you were friends with Adam Scott.
We are.
Good to know.
I don't see what the problem is.
There are plenty of that.
Peter and Petey, what are you plugging?
Our podcast.
That's right.
Dramity, yon-yan.
It is on the Royal Oak K-103.2 from...
3 a.m. to 5 a.m. 7 days a week.
We have our first sponsor.
We're excited.
We have our first sponsor.
Who?
It's lunchables.
Lunchables, but the kind with sausage, not with pepperoni.
Only sausage luncheals.
So like an apple sausage?
It's one piece of cheese, one small cracker, and...
A capricon and...
And a big fat sausage.
A big fat, fat sausage.
Okay.
Remember, anything is lunchable.
Anything can go down like lunchebles.
When you're thinking lunchable, you're thinking anything.
And that's what it is.
Okay, good, good.
That's a great slogan.
You guys really nailed these slogans.
So, yeah, I'm sure the company appreciates it.
And Coach Prime, what are you plugging here?
Uh, yeah.
He fell asleep
What's going on?
What's going on?
What are you plugging?
All right.
So I got a couple things to plug.
One, we're going to plug a couple podcasts.
One called Take Care With the Juice.
Right here with my good friend and Scott Arkham is even greater friend, O.J. Simpson.
Oh, that's right.
Right here on.
Great guy.
Do we have an episode for this month in July?
I hope so.
Nope.
Not yet.
We've got to record that.
How does that one work?
It's like every two to three months.
It's been every month.
It's been every month.
but apparently I'm hearing there's some pushback with that.
Or is it?
For me?
I mean, from him?
Either way, we're going to have some episodes come out.
They'll be out eventually.
Okay.
I'll be back.
Anyway, and also, listen to The Flagrant On Patreon On Patreon.
On Patreon.com, forward slash Hollywood Handbook,
with show hosted by Carl Tart, Hayes, Davenport, and Sean Clements.
Those other two, do they ever drop the act?
I still don't know.
Yeah, okay.
Good to know.
Also, you can watch Saturday Night Live, NBC, 11th.
30 p.m. on Saturday nights.
Yeah. Why wouldn't you not?
John Hams been on it. They might flub a line, so you're going to want to catch it.
You won't want to catch because it's live.
John Hams been on. And I heard that one of our close friends wrote a sketch for him where
he got a hair transplant and they pulled the hair, the skin from his boss.
Yep. Yep. Check it out. Cut a dress.
Cut a dress. Which they call him. They call him, call cut at dress tart.
You can't spell Carl Tart without cut a dress.
Well, I want to plug the Comedy BangPing Tour.
We're doing the back half very soon.
We're going out to the UK and Ireland this month, July 21 through July 31.
We're going to be out there.

Yeah.
Also, there's, well, yeah, I mean, there is a phone line
that you could call.

No, no, no, no.
Yeah, it is 310980-403.
