Starting point is 00:00:00 Today's episode is brought to by Factor Meals. Factor's has got those good meals. Delivered right to your home. Let's jump into this podcast. Hello, everybody. It's time for Cosent Red Dog. Let's see Trendorm in the morning. In the morning.
Starting point is 00:00:17 Broadcastle live, live, live, live, live. Before our reporting studio, recording. Recording. Let me wake your ass up. It's up. Next, Trenton, in the morning. Hello, everybody wants to say this is going to guys and Grendo in the morning. It is the next, er, uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:00:40 I was going to say excited an episode, and then I, my brain, like, cross-fired, and then I just kind of... Now you know what it's like every time I start one of these episodes. Yeah, no, I get it now. I got cross, I'm caught up in the cross-fire. Yeah, that's what they say. About me specifically, yeah. Yeah. Uh, how are you doing? How's it going?
Starting point is 00:01:01 Uh, good, good. I'm on like a weird kick at the moment. So I'm, I, next year I'm doing a bit of traveling. So I'm trying to plan in advance where I'm like, okay, if I'm going to travel, I need a way to still do podcasts and still do stuff. But I don't want to have to drag around a laptop with me. So I was trying to like do some research online and be like, well, maybe if I got like an iPad, I could show my face still because the iPad camera. But then I have to figure out a way to hook up. microphone up to it, which probably is easy. But then when I looked online, and iPads are expensive as hell. And I was like, well, that's not what I want to do. So I've just been trying to figure out what I want to do when it comes to, like, I don't want to spend a lot of money on a thing I'm only going to use when I travel. You know what I mean? Yeah, that makes sense. And so I don't, like, the iPad route seems good. And it seems like it would work for me. But I need an iPad that has a reasonable camera that I can have for a few years and not like, you know, if I'm going to buy one, I'm going to buy one that's going to last the next five plus years.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Yeah. No, that makes sense. But they're just expensive. Like, uh, to get an iPad plus a keyboard, which is what I would want, one of the keyboard things that hooks up to the iPad, we're still looking at close to $2,000 for a new iPad. What those shit? That's what I'm, like, there's all these little fees. By the end, I was like, with all the things I would need, we'll get it almost do that.
Starting point is 00:02:18 I had so much money. So, yeah, I don't know. Maybe I get a crappy laptop, but even that's crappy. You know what I mean? Yeah. So I don't know what to do, to be honest I think you're just in a crappy situation I even thought about getting one of those
Starting point is 00:02:33 little tiny baby computers that you can travel with but then I'd have to get a monitor everywhere I go I'd have to request monitors or find a monitor or something which is a pain in the ass so I don't want that and laptops buying a full computer
Starting point is 00:02:46 like a laptop and only using it three four times a year yeah you know that doesn't make any sense so I was like well maybe if I got an iPad I could use that like around that But I don't know, man. Maybe I just don't and then tell everyone when I travel tough shit. Like, I don't know, dude.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Didn't you already have a laptop? Is it just, like, bad? Is that what you're saying? It was too big? Yeah, no, I had a laptop. And I used it so little that when my mom's laptop broke, I gave it to her. I was like, here, I don't use this, have it. So I haven't had a laptop since then.
Starting point is 00:03:19 My mom has my old laptop. And, yeah, like, I didn't need for it. And I've used one in the past. and it's worked really well and I've done stuff while traveling but the like I don't know
Starting point is 00:03:31 the return on investment for that is very low so I'm like maybe I just don't get one but if I need one I'll have a thing it's that kind of thing where I don't want to spend the money
Starting point is 00:03:42 but I might have to and I don't like it and I was like well maybe I'll get like a cheapo iPad one of the older ones and everyone was like don't I looked at all the different
Starting point is 00:03:56 reviews. I'm like, don't bother. So I don't know, man. I'm looking. I guess because I was like, wow, an iPad pro is pretty much the same price, or nearly the same price is just like an actual I Mac laptop. But I guess you can, you're just buying the keyboard as well. So it's like at that point, you may as well as get the laptop. That's what I'm saying. But I don't want the laptop. Because that's, that's a whole other thing. And like it says you can get. the iPad Pro from $9.99. I was like, okay, that's expensive, but maybe it's worth it. So I went to click buy, and then it was like, oh, no, there's two models.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Yeah. There's the 11 inch of the 13. I was like, well, I would want the 13. So now I'm no longer 999. Now I'm 1299. And I'm like, okay, well, yeah, all right. Well, obviously I don't want 256 gigabytes of storage. That's so little.
Starting point is 00:04:48 I have to have at least one terabyte. So now that's another. Now I'm up to 1800. And I was like, well, you know, there's. This one glass is actually this nanotexture glass is for low reflectivity. And well, if I'm going to be filming stuff or using the camera on my, I don't want to reflect. So I got to have low, you know, I got to have low reflection.
Starting point is 00:05:08 And I was like, well, I don't need cellular. So we'll save somebody there. And I'm still, I'm at 1900 bucks. And then they're like, hey, do you, do you want a pencil? I'm like, I don't know that I would need a pencil for this. So I guess no pencil, but I do need a keyboard. Suddenly we're up another. Like now we're over 2000.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Yeah, what the heck? That's insane. Suddenly we're at $2,300. That was in seconds. I went from it's $900.99 to now I'm at $2348 if I wanted to buy it. That is crazy. The increase is crazy. It just sucks.
Starting point is 00:05:44 It's not a pleasant place to be because I don't want to buy an expensive iPad. And I don't want to buy an expensive laptop. But I will have to work on the road sometimes. Yeah. So it's like, there's got to be some cheap way. Like, look, completely agreed. There was one moment where I was looking online. They don't make it anymore because of course they don't. But I found this company that makes cases. And one of the cases they had was this case that in the case was a monitor and a full computer that you could assemble yourself in the case and then foam up. And so you could travel with a full computer with monitor. Huh. And I was like, that's pretty cool. I could just use that as a normal computer in the office and then when I needed to go pack it up and walk onto a flight with it. That'd be so cool. They
Starting point is 00:06:33 immediately the minute I was like maybe I'll look into that it was like we no longer offer this. I was like okay. So no one bought it is what I'm learning. I was the one person who would have and yeah. You missed your chance. Because I was trying to think like oh I could use it for my real computer and a travel computer that's two birds one stone.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Yeah. No you you missed your chance unless you find that on like eBay or something. Yeah, no, I'm all right It's like What are you mainly doing? You're just doing it for editing And Yeah, so when I travel, right
Starting point is 00:07:05 I would I have this podcast, I have Geekenders, I have Chaluminati, I have all sorts of things I would need to do, I have meetings, do different things, so I need a camera that works and a microphone that is pretty good And so in my mind, I'm like, all right, well, I can get a
Starting point is 00:07:22 laptop, but laptop cameras are notorious seriously shit. I know that an iPad camera is actually quite good. I've seen a lot of the, honestly, most of the ASMR people you see on the internet are using an iPhone and a blue yeah. That's it. And they look great. So I'm like, at least I have that going for me if I get an iPad. With that said, I don't have a keyboard and I wouldn't need a keyboard because I'd be doing a lot of emails and writing things and I'm not going to do that on the iPad the entire time. That's why I barely use my phone as this. So I was like, I would need a keyboard. Then I would need, you know, I could hook up the Blue Yeti to the iPad.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Like, that's not a big deal. I could do that. I have a Blue Yeti. It's fine. I could make it work. But it's just too expensive. It's just so expensive. But I don't want to buy an old model because then my objective is for it to last a long time.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Right. And the older the model, the less long it'll last. So, you know. Well, what's your current thing? Like, if you get none of this and you decide to just roll. out like what do you what are you rolling with uh nothing i literally have my phone and then i pack nothing i don't have a i don't have anything i disconnect i have my phone and sometimes i'll answer email and most of the time i'll be like i'll deal with this when i get back i mean okay well
Starting point is 00:08:43 what are you traveling next so literally this january of next year immediately the like second week i'm already traveling um okay well I'm going to Magfest to host some stuff. And that's like the start of the year. So immediately I'm going. Yeah. Maybe after Christmas there'll be deals and you can get something. Like remember when Google had like Chromebooks?
Starting point is 00:09:09 What's the deal with those? How do those work? I don't think they're going to be good. But there's a bunch of different things that exist out there that I just don't know. So I'll take the time to figure it out. But that's currently my like conundrum is I can't figure out what to buy. or if I need to buy anything at all. Because one of my biggest fears as well
Starting point is 00:09:28 is the reason why I gave my mom that laptop is I bought a thing thinking I would need it and I didn't use it and it was a waste of money. Well, I looked up Chromebooks and they're like a couple hundred dollars but I think they're just like for checking email essentially. Right, right, right. And I'm thinking
Starting point is 00:09:45 maybe I could put a camera on it but yeah, I don't know. Again, big confusion. the best I can think of is right now at least scheduling everything to be like I'm going to be leaving so we need to do this sooner rather than later like that so I don't have to do it while I travel that seems like the smartest way to do it but sometimes it's not preventable and in that case if I can help it I'd like to do something but I don't know I feel like you'd still you'd probably find a use for whatever you get at some point outside of just traveling sure maybe I, like, you know, I don't, I haven't in the past. All of the previous attempts to get travel ready gear have ended with me being like, well, that was a waste of money. Uh, yeah, I'll know.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Honestly, maybe, uh, I think your best bet is just waiting until after Christmas. Like, I genuinely, that's what I'm going to do no matter what. I'm not going to buy a damn thing, right? It's so expensive. However, boy, did I, I want to talk to you about something Because I feel like this is the start of a great conversation about relationships. So I'm not sure the vibe you and Toast have when it comes to relationships and looking at other couples and kind of gauging yourself comparatively. But from time to time, I will see people out in the wild or see Reddit posts or see whatever.
Starting point is 00:11:19 And I will just be like, yikes. how are you together still? And I had one of those this morning while getting a bagel for breakfast. And it's pretty packed. I'm sitting there waiting. And behind me is this couple. And imagine like a guy
Starting point is 00:11:37 who very clearly still even in his 40s thinks he's in a frat. Yep. Just put that together. And sitting with him is a woman who is gorgeous, genuinely gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:11:50 But in that kind of Kind of like I did a lot of tanning, so I'm, you know, one or two bad tans away from like pure leather skin. And the reason I cared at all about this conversation they were having is that he was very loudly having a conversation with her and someone on the phone while we were in this packed bagel place with numerous conversations if they were still the loudest. and when I say they I mostly mean him because she was trying to ask him questions and I think set up their day talk about what they were going to do since it was early on a Sunday right
Starting point is 00:12:24 but he is busy having a conversation on the phone ignoring her almost completely shouting things like how dare they replace the quarterback they were sitting there and she's like hey do you want to go to San Francisco this weekend and he's like actually I got a golf thing that kind of stuff
Starting point is 00:12:41 and the more I listen to them and the way that they interacted with each other, the more I realized, like, she's actively trying to do stuff, and he doesn't seem like he wants to be there. Like, he's talking about skiing, and when he's going to go meet his friends to go ski. He's talking about this golf thing he has to do
Starting point is 00:12:58 instead of going to San Francisco. He's talking about, like, a quarterback. He's talking about all these things and his friends. This girl's with him right there, and she's trying to be like, hey, do you want to do stuff with me? And he clearly is like, no. and as I sat there waiting for my bagel I watched them and I was like some people should not be together
Starting point is 00:13:17 like these two very clearly do not mesh and I don't know what it is that's keeping them together but like yikes it was very obvious and the guy was just loud and he's like on the phone at one point talking to his friends about like what they're going to do later that day and this girl's like sitting there and I was like is he going to ditch her after this like that's great there's something about it it just felt like
Starting point is 00:13:39 I wanted to be like oh yikes you poor girl I mean I would say it could be one of those things where they've been together forever and then they've kind of grown apart and now he's just well they may have also always been like this
Starting point is 00:13:54 and then they always were like oh you know whatever it's fine this just gets worse and worse right like that type of thing or maybe she's just like so used to it at this point she's just like yeah whatever like maybe I'll try
Starting point is 00:14:07 but like uh and then he's clearly like in his own world and probably doesn't it seems like he doesn't really care about anything she's interested in at least from the brief synopsis you've given me I mean there could be a
Starting point is 00:14:22 like one of those relationships too where they're together and then he kind of like makes a bunch of money and then she doesn't really do that much or doesn't have a job or like kind of relies on him so she's like kind of also afraid to leave him too there could be a million reasons
Starting point is 00:14:37 yeah I mean there's so many things it could be But it just, it was one of those Ignore all that You two Everyone who has ever been in a relationship like that Were after the fact they realized it was a bad relationship That's this Like I don't know what's going on in the moment
Starting point is 00:14:53 But looking back You would be like That was a bad one That was a mistake Well that guy sounds like he'd be in a bad relationship With whoever he's in a relationship with I mean I want to say
Starting point is 00:15:07 Yeah But also I know for a fact that most guys if they fall in love with someone that changes like it's that's how I know they're probably not right for each other because if the guy was in
Starting point is 00:15:24 he'd be in 100 you know what I mean? Does that make sense? Well that's what I that's kind of my theory too is that it used to be that way and they've probably been together so long that that kind of drifts away and after a while
Starting point is 00:15:37 you then like if you are actually in a good relationship you still are like friends and like hanging out and talking and doing stuff and that's kind of the point of like long term relationships as you're like wow we still get along
Starting point is 00:15:52 even after all this time and I think there's plenty of people especially in like older relationships where like they just kind of like boomer people they'll be like my old lady won't live like that type of thing I think a lot of them
Starting point is 00:16:07 got married really quick and then just kind of had that happen where they actually didn't get along after a few years and then they just kind of were like, he does his thing, I do my thing, like that type of relationship. Do you think that's like a communication thing?
Starting point is 00:16:23 Like people did surface level talking and then later in life realized like wow I actually don't like this person at all. I mean it's definitely a communication thing. I think there's probably another like element of just comfort
Starting point is 00:16:39 like I've been in this situation for so long I may as well just stay here like that type of right because new is scary yeah yeah so that's probably part of it but then yeah I think it's just I honestly think it's people get together and they get married too fast
Starting point is 00:16:56 or they're like whatever and then they're just like well I guess we're like this like years later and they're just like sitting not talking being like a like I feel like that's a pretty common thing yeah i mean i i'm fine with like that you know the old birch couple that just sits there silently reading like if you're like being around the person you're with i don't know that you need to be like hey dear what's going on today but with that said uh if one of you wants to be in silence the other one
Starting point is 00:17:24 doesn't you probably need to have a real dialogue about that that might come off differently to each of those people yeah no it's uh i think it's a hard part about relationships is like it's always going to be different for literally everybody. Like every dynamic is going to be different. Sure. So it's... Plus expectations are different of what you want out of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Yeah. That's why people just go on Reddit and be like, Reddit, here's my thing. I'm like, this is the last place you should be asking anyone for relationship advice. Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 00:17:54 you know, like me and Toastra Woman, we're still like talking all the time. We like hanging out with each other. We do stuff. We also like actually listen. So that's like a big one. I feel like a lot of people don't listen.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Like, uh, don't like, like you said, someone will just be like, oh, should we do this? Let's be like the quarterback, like they're clearly not listening or caring.
Starting point is 00:18:18 That should be bare minimum of what you do. Yeah. If you're in a relationship with someone, at least listen and be like, what are you trying to tell me rather than, hey, what do we, what do we go to the game later?
Starting point is 00:18:32 Yeah, I mean, it's also a problem with those things where like he doesn't. if they're not listening at that moment I doubt they're listening to many people like they probably don't even listen with their friend their friends must be probably because their friends might not even say anything
Starting point is 00:18:45 that and they always be like bro we do the thing you're just like yeah bro yeah like there's no depth going on but it also I will say what I did realize while watching them talk was that she had the exact like have you ever watched someone who was like an extreme nerd
Starting point is 00:19:03 for like I don't know some sort of game thing explain it to someone who does not care that's the same vibe he was talking about yeah he was talking about sports and she just didn't care and it made me laugh because I also understood in that moment oh no this guy's just a nerd for sports
Starting point is 00:19:19 yeah but I mean I'm a sports nerd sure sure but I always think that's funny because while listening to the way people talk the way he was talking about sports wasn't cool it was like the stat nerdy he's like explaining why a guy shouldn't
Starting point is 00:19:35 BQB, but in like a techie way. I'm curious which game he was talking about. I do not know. What day was it? Was it Sunday? Sunday and there was, the only reason why I say Chargers is because there was a little boy who was excited. He was sitting there with his mom talking to some random woman who was, you know, being
Starting point is 00:19:56 nice to a child and he was really excited for the Chargers games. So like maybe, I don't know. Oh yeah, they got blown out by the Jaguars, 35 to 6. That makes sense. Then they put in Trey Lance because I think they were just down by a billion points. So was, was he upset they put in the backup quarterback? Yo, I don't know. I have no.
Starting point is 00:20:16 He was what he said verbatim was, go back to this damn thing. He said, replacing the starter quarterback is not a smart choice. That, I mean, to be fair, it seems like at that point they were just giving up and they were putting in Trey Lance and just waving the white flag. So, I mean, at this point, the charger offensive line is obliterated. If you're going to leave your starting quarterback Justin Herbert back there, he's also going to get obliterated, and then your future's
Starting point is 00:20:45 gone. So, like, I actually do think. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what to tell you. This is what I heard. Odds all, they were down by a bunch, so I disagree with him. Also, shout out to the bagel. It was great. Shout to that bagel. It's good bagel.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Yeah, it's a, He just sounds like a person you wouldn't want to be around in general. I mean, the thing is, there probably definitely 100% is a girl out there for him who wants to go skiing and wants to do all these things he wants to do and wants to go drink a few beers with the bros. I guarantee she's out there. Yeah. But I also guarantee he was dating this woman because she was attractive, like more than conventionally attractive. Like, you know, Hollywood attractive. Ah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:33 And so he was like, well, I got her. So, you know, it's one of those things where he definitely was like, that's my hot girlfriend. Yeah. Rather than, this is a human being that I talk to about things. Yeah. It's like, okay. No, that definitely sounds like what happened. He's just like, yeah, and then they probably had nothing in common.
Starting point is 00:21:50 And then over the years, it's just here we are. But they look great going out together. There you go. That's all that matters. Yep. Yep. Are you aware? I just
Starting point is 00:22:05 I just watch this like I don't know Two hours ago Neil Breen has a new movie coming out next year And it is One of my favorite trailers I've ever seen because it like has well His voiceover it's like
Starting point is 00:22:21 He's a man That's losing his mind He can't be trusted And then it cuts to him Shooting what I can only assume is a CG gun into CG ground shouting I'm so alone over and over again it's incredible I've never laughed so hard I have not seen this trailer yet trailer yet it just came out like a few hours ago I can't believe it it might I've never laughed so hard in my life it is
Starting point is 00:22:49 truly a masterpiece uh hold on was it called dire duplicity oh yeah Yes. Dyer duplicity. That's right. Dyer duplicity. What's that even mean? Taking in face value, it's an extremely serious dire example of being two-faced. I don't know what to tell you. So is this carrying over from the previous movie at all? This is a totally different movie with totally different actors and a totally different story. This is not connected to his other movies. It's a totally different. different thing. Now it may look
Starting point is 00:23:33 the same and it may feature the exact same premise of him and a beautiful younger woman definitely having a sex scene for no reason that may be in there and it may be the only reason why he makes these movies and frankly I don't care, I'm in. I
Starting point is 00:23:49 uh, I'm just skimming through I got to the one point where he's like this is my partner in life and she's literally like 23. Yes. There's one part where he tries to kiss her later and she like turns her head. He like starts making out with her cheek.
Starting point is 00:24:05 It's like, ah, okay. All right. He's also a fighter pilot. Yes. Dude, I was explaining on stream earlier that scene where he's in the fighter jet. I was like, in his movies, there'll be moments where he's like driving a car and it lasts for five minutes and nothing happens. This fighter jet scene will be that. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Without a doubt. He just wanted to fly, have footage of him flying in a fighter jet, even though it's fake. this is going to be five minutes of him like that's going to be the thing this is insane I told you I'm excited yeah this looks
Starting point is 00:24:41 looks like it's going to be fantastic yeah 2026 dire duplicity dire duplicity I can't even I can't even did you read the the description
Starting point is 00:24:56 no what is the description It is a tormented secret agent with emotional and psychological problems attempts to stop an international cyber attack. This dark emotional mystery intensifies as he is betrayed by those he trusts and loves. I mean, at least he's got themes. Yeah. He sticks with the same themes every time. That is nice at least.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm excited. Oh, it's so funny. Yeah, I don't understand. You know, I mean, I do. We know that he works in Vegas, and most of it's filmed on cheap in Vegas. Yeah. But it's just so funny to me that every one of them, he's like, here's my new wife.
Starting point is 00:25:44 And they get younger every time. Younger and blonder every time. He's like, this is my girlfriend. You're like, Neil, stop it. Find an age-appropriate wife. This is out of control. That girl was 22. Yeah, he is.
Starting point is 00:25:59 he's clearly looking for something when he's cast in these that's for sure I mean admittedly I'd do the same who am I kidding but for this movie you this incredibly
Starting point is 00:26:10 attractive woman on my wife don't question it it's a movie and thus real normally I'd have people read the script but I think you'll do well you're right up
Starting point is 00:26:21 like you're fine getting naked don't ask don't question it I'll only shoot it from behind but I'll get to see everything That's probably that guy in the The bagel place's dream right now That's probably what he's looking
Starting point is 00:26:38 You tell him I get to look at Naka's every time I film Nice I wish I was Neil Breen Oh my god I was gonna mention We're getting to the point where there's like so many award shows I realize How much I don't care about award shows
Starting point is 00:26:56 I see I don't think you ever would. You don't seem like the guy who gives the damn about awards, period. Even if you got them. I don't think you care. I definitely wouldn't. I think award shows, like the game awards are all right because you get to see new games. So it's like, oh, okay, we get to see some trailer new games and stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:17 But like, even then, the actual awards, I'm kind of like, all right, cool. Like, it's, I just don't care. It's just like a popularity contest or like, I just, I just, Like especially things like streamer awards Like dude that's The last thing I care about is the streamer awards Look I love a good award I like receiving them
Starting point is 00:27:39 Do I like award shows? Not really But if I was invited to one I'd go I'd probably feel very awkward Because I don't feel like I belong At any of that kind of stuff But I would attend If only for the stories that I could tell Because I'm sure there'd be a lot of ego
Starting point is 00:27:56 Oh yeah my objective is to stream long enough that by law they have to give me like a lifetime achievement award right they have to you would imagine
Starting point is 00:28:07 they'd have to eventually yeah I'd show up and I'd have an old white beard and have a cane and I'd be like you damn kids don't know how good you have it
Starting point is 00:28:16 with your with your virtual characters and your multiple microphones and cameras right back in my day one camera would do it's uh it's like even just looking it was for ATP
Starting point is 00:28:33 they should have an award for just like the the oldest streamer like the most like not even just like actually old but like literally just the oldest you know like the best old man streamer so yeah I think we both be up there's that's what the Lifetime Achievement Award is for that's that's the like so you didn't win anything
Starting point is 00:28:55 or do anything but you were here a long time so here we go. That's what I want. That's something I can do as well, just sticking around. I mean, one of the categories, literally, I think both we could do. Because the streamer awards has this sort of like, unless you're in the top zero zero zero one percent, you're not even going to be involved, really. Or you know somebody. Oh yeah. Yeah, that's definitely a thing. But they also have a category that I find interesting that is something, again, I think you and I could pull this off because it is if you have a thousand or fewer on average viewers and then you see some sort of rapid growth right it's kind of like an up-and-coming category yeah and i know for sure
Starting point is 00:29:38 because some games i stream and no one wants to watch so it equals out the balance that's on average i have below 1,000 viewers that's true we could i would love this for a 2026 best upcoming streamer Jesse Cox, that would be hilarious. Yeah, that was this guy really is coming into his own. It's unbelievable to see. No, I don't know if I'd be disqualified for saying this is what I wanted to do,
Starting point is 00:30:03 but it does seem like it'd be fun to start the year, stream a bunch of indie games that no one really wants to watch, have January be kind of like my sub six or 700 viewer thing, and then crank it into just chatting in
Starting point is 00:30:18 February and go that way for the rest of the year and see what happens. That would be pretty good. I do love looking through a lot of these categories and knowing absolutely nobody, but also the fact that there's a category called best brand partner. That's probably to a best people paying for this award show. Oh, it definitely is. It's awarded to a brand that is helping streamers aspirations come through or come true through brand partnerships and sponsorships.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Streamers are able to do more than ever imagined with the powers of Red Bull, Cash App, GamerSups, and AT&T. First off, Red Bull, I kind of get. The other three are, that's so, like that, they paid for this.
Starting point is 00:31:07 They're going to have ads during the show. Yeah. I love it. It's like gamer subs. You know, the, The one that has boobs on the mugs is really helping gamers meet their objectives and their dreams. It's really helping streamers' dreams come true. Talking their powdery drinks is helping everyone complete their dreams. It's just, I just, I hate it.
Starting point is 00:31:34 I think of what I also hate is like a lot of these just feel like a big circle jerk of just like, we're all great here. Like this is literally the first, if you look at this award. show. The very first one was we're making an award show to give our friends awards because we love each other. Right. That's it. And now it is continuing. And yeah, every once in a while they'll have other people. And
Starting point is 00:31:56 you know, the reason why it has anyone who gives a damn is because all the friends in it are like the top, top, top, top streamers. Yeah. It's... It wasn't like a Twitch made this. It's a streamer made this for other streamers.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Yeah. So of course it's not going to like, what did the community think? It's going to be like, what did we, my friend group think? Yeah. And so it's obviously one of those things where it's like, it's awards for their friends. And then it became their friends and some other big streamers. And now it's like some of my friends and big streamers. Because obviously they're like, dude, we can grow this like an insane amount. Right? Like that's what it becomes. And it's like that for a lot of award shows. Like even the ones on TV, like the Oscars or like all that shit. I'm just like, dude, I just don't care. Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:47 That's probably more of a me thing. No, I think award shows are boring. They always, unless you're in them, they're boring. We've talked about that before. I think they're, they're not that fun to watch. However, I do think what makes the video game awards good is that Keeley was like, no, this is like a game award show plus E3. I know a lot of people get upset about it being like trailers and stuff.
Starting point is 00:33:09 That's the only reason people care. I've got to be honest with you. Yeah. No, it's the main reason I care. Otherwise, I wouldn't watch the game away. Yeah, like when they're just like game of the year, this thing, it's just, it boils down to like, oh boy, I hope the thing I want to win wins. And then you're like, yay, it won, or, oh, man, it didn't win.
Starting point is 00:33:26 That sucks. And that's it. Like, you don't get anything out of it. Unless it's one of those things where they're like, vote for us and we'll give you in-game currency, in which case, then you get something. Yeah, like, if I have friends or I know people, I wish them well and I hope they win, and that would be, you know, I'm excited for that. them. If I was nominated for something, I'd be excited for me. But like, as an outside observer,
Starting point is 00:33:52 it doesn't particularly matter. Yeah. Like, even having gone to some of the award shows, I'm like, yeah, no, I'd much rather watch it home. Like, being here is, whatever. Yeah. No. So it's, anyway, that's old man yells at award shows segment. I like that. Um, but, you know, what brand is helping podcasters achieve their dreams? That's the one. That's the one. Good job. Yep. Fall much like the leaves on the trees has fallen and winter is coming very quickly.

Starting point is 00:36:40 Let's go to our traffic. Sam, 7,000, ground, I was that traffic out there. Oh, man, we've got weather, or wait, traffic. Well, you know, the weather can't impact the traffic, you know. That is the way it works. And currently it is. I mean, we got holiday weekend.
Starting point is 00:36:55 Yo, Thanksgiving, this week, for America at least. Other people don't care. So, yeah, that's going to be a lot of traveling. People going to airports. People going, driving all around, trying to get to Mima and Wewows House. I mean, you know, somebody calls their grandparents we while or something, right? That's got to be, there's got to be at least one person out there.
Starting point is 00:37:18 I don't know what I'm talking about. Thank you. Wewa is who you're talking about. Yeah, we while. Wewa and Memo. Yeah. You went to baby speak all the sudden. Yeah, we want.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Uh-oh, what happened to you? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, what else? I mean, what could have happened this week that did that? Yo, you know what? We watched Avatar. What? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:42 That's really no correlation, but I... Avatar, the problem is there's so many avatars right now. The Earthbender or the water, way of water? Like Avatar 1, 2009, the... Oh, where they were trying to get unobtainium. Yeah, that one. And so I've never seen that. So we watched it.
Starting point is 00:38:02 And it was okay. Dances with Smurfs is what it is. It's literally... Dances with Smurfs. Yeah, it was, uh, like the, like the movie stuff was cool, like the environments and the all that thing, but then... Oh, you mean the grand. Yeah, and the grand was really cool. The grand was great, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Yeah, and then, uh, the characters were just like the most forgettable. Oh, you mean, I see you, Jake Sulee. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, no, they're, they're pretty forgettable. Yeah, even this. But now they're back. Yeah, luckily they're back. They're back and better than everybody.
Starting point is 00:38:39 I have not seen any of the new ones. I don't know that I can be bothered. Maybe one day, maybe, but I just don't care. Yeah, it's just like, because normally you have like the main character and you're just like, yeah, he's cool, but like, he's okay, I guess. He's like some military guys just like, I don't understand. And then he's like, I do understand. And then you got like the crazy soldier man.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Looks like he's straight out as small soldiers. just being like That's an accurate That's accurate portrayal Yeah I kept being like This guy looks like somebody And I was like dude The small soldiers
Starting point is 00:39:15 Army man He straight up looks like it And then what is his name Like Giovanni Ribichi or whatever The guy who's like I gotta have my unobtainium Yeah he kind of reminded me a mind flame A little
Starting point is 00:39:25 He does have a little mind flame Yeah little Clint Hackleman He's like I don't care Get me my end updadium I need my unobtanium Yeah So yeah I mean it was It was okay
Starting point is 00:39:36 definitely the moments in it as well that I found was funny because this was back when 3D was popping off right and so there were clearly moments where it was like this is for the 3D viewers like the planes flying around or the the dragon thing he's flying around and then it goes on a little too long and you're like okay we could move on now now you now you remember during this time people would leave the theater and be depressed right do you remember that wait what there was a thing you could look this up where people were depressed because once they left the theater
Starting point is 00:40:11 they had to go back to the real world and they were so taken with Avatar that they wanted to live in that world. What? Yeah. That's why Avatar, there's such high investment in it because for some reason there are people that really responded well to Avatar.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Now, I don't know who these people are. It's not me, but there are many people who are like, that's the world I wish I could live in. like it's cool but that's insane that you'd be like depressed because you can't live in avatar it was a thing people were really stressed out about it they were like i just want to be there i want to live there with awa and jake sully more power to him uh so much so that so anyway I saw that. That was,
Starting point is 00:41:02 that's the traffic. That's the traffic. All right, all right, let's go to weather. Woo, weather. All right, we've got eight weather requests.
Starting point is 00:41:14 And we have landed on making a weather request for Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, home of Canada's most visited national historic site, Halifax Citadel, And our official food is the Don Air.
Starting point is 00:41:33 All right? I mean, yes. First off, yes. I need to know. I need to know what Don Air is, but okay. It's like Con Air, but with a D. Right, but Don Air. In Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Starting point is 00:41:46 It is currently, wee, 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Feels like 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity, 75% pressure, 29.92.m. Sunrise, 4.39 p.m. sunset. That winds 2 miles an hour, due point 30. Zero on the old UV index in a moon phase of waxing crescent. 10-day. Monday a.m. showers, 39 degrees. Tuesday, 46, partly cloudy.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Wednesday, 50 with rain. Thursday, 52 a.m. showers. Friday, 41, partly cloudy. Saturday, 35, mostly cloudy. Sunday, 36, partly cloudy. Monday, 46 with showers. And Tuesday, 45 with showers and cat is running around meowing. I hear that.
Starting point is 00:42:30 I hear the okay pie. Okay, I did some digging. I needed to know. All right. Donner, or Donair is a variation of the Donner Kabob. Yep. Which originated in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the early 1970s. It's same thing, donner meat, right?
Starting point is 00:42:46 Except this time, in order to appeal to local tastes, originally, they offered the Euro at Velos Pizza and Bedford, Nova Scotia. But then Peter Gamalakus modified the recipe to suit local tastes, replacing lamb with beef, and developing a sweet sauce made from evaporated milk, vinegar, and garlic powder. What? He tops it with chopped onions and tomatoes, which is, you know, that makes sense. But then he just has, like, it's a different style of meat and a different sauce. Huh.
Starting point is 00:43:25 But it's still, it's just a kebab. It's just a don't a kebab. You can get in a peat. It's just like, yeah, so this is crazy. There are regional variations and current status. I love this. The Halifax Dawn Air has inspired numerous regional variations across Canada. In New Brunswick, Donairs include lettuce, while in Alberta variations include cheese and pepperoni.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Sure. Despite these adaptations, the authentic Dawn Air remains a Nova Scotian specialty. It's popular continues to grow. Edmonton has embraced Donair With nearly 120 shops featuring Donairs in their names The city's Lebanese community played a significant role in popularizing Donairs It's literally just D-O-N-Air
Starting point is 00:44:14 Yeah Sure Notable establishments like the Athena Donair It's funny too Because you can get away with it being Doner Kabob But also a diner, you know what I mean? Oh yeah All right, unlike the Halifax, Edmonton Donairs, often include variations like lettuce, Ziki sauce, and unique flavors like barbecue and pineapple curry.
Starting point is 00:44:36 What the heck? Oh, they're just doing whatever the hell they want. Yeah, they're doing whatever. This is like a hot dog. Like, you can, all right, sure, do whatever you want. Yeah, they just start going crazy with it. Ooh, it's been endorsed by notable figures like Anthony Bourdain. Oh.
Starting point is 00:44:52 I guess I mean sure I don't know why you need to endorse the idea of eating meat in a pita that's pretty universal it doesn't really matter what you put on it yeah this is we need to endorse this right now
Starting point is 00:45:09 let the people know I guess they do so they have their own that's kind of like when you travel a different places around the world everyone kind of has their own weird we sheared this meat from a hot thing and put it in bread
Starting point is 00:45:21 everyone kind of has their own version of that. Yeah, that's true. So I'm here for that. I like it. That's good. Yeah. I'm uh, I'm looking around the town. It actually got a decent amount of stuff, variety. Yeah. It's a, it's, uh, it's, it's Halifax, all right. Uh, yeah. Uh, they got a Tim Horton's staple. Well, of course. It is kind of, they got a tasty kitchen.
Starting point is 00:45:48 It's a Chinese place and a house. Uh, it actually looks pretty. good uh they got the sushi jet the heck they got the happy garden it's just so far north it definitely is it's just like it's not newfoundland right but it's like you know you're dealing with main weather so i imagine the seafood's probably really good yeah but you know like what's Smitty's family restaurant. Like that's the... Smitties? I don't know if I'm going to go to Smitties and get chicken wings.
Starting point is 00:46:29 You know what I mean? Or nachos. Yeah, no, I don't think I am either. Also, Smitties looks like it's a Denny's, but not. But it's probably maybe it's Canadian. I don't know. Wait, what is... Okay, this is the thing, but like right north of here is Prince Edward Island?
Starting point is 00:46:46 Yes. How is that? Prince Edward Island. Yeah, but what's there? not a whole bunch dude the further north you go when you start to get into like St. Pierre and those are
Starting point is 00:46:59 they were like bootleg stops back in the day I mean as Prince Edward Island were trying to smuggled booze into the Americas but like I yeah I mean these are people live here the further the further
Starting point is 00:47:13 yeah like it's a if you look at the different places and you look at the the homes it's very small it's like very country and rural or it looks like when you look at photos of Iceland
Starting point is 00:47:26 in some places where it's like oh look these beautifully colored houses oh they're that way because it snows so much yeah I see interesting listen I've just
Starting point is 00:47:38 I've never heard anybody be like I'm from Prince Edward Island so it just kind of feels weird probably because most people aren't they probably have to move there it's like Alaska a lot of people aren't from Alaska but they definitely move there.
Starting point is 00:47:52 That's fair. Yeah. Well, that's the weather. Okay, let's go to sports. Sports. Time for sports. Here is the sports. Okay, sports.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Sports. Sports. All right, here we are. At the sports desk, currently. We've got NFL games. Scores And games We got Texans
Starting point is 00:48:26 Beat the Bills on Thursday night That's a crazy game Ravens beat the Jets Chiefs beat the Colts As they came back They were down like Quite a bit Colts blew it
Starting point is 00:48:36 Titans Lost to the Seahawks Actually got closer And it should have been Packers crushed the Vikings Lions barely beat the Giants And overtime Patriots beat the Bengals
Starting point is 00:48:45 Bears beat the Steelers Uh Falcons currently beating the Saints Cowboys losing to the Eagles 217 right now. Cardinals down to the Jaguars 17, 14 and the Browns are up on the Raiders 14 to 3.
Starting point is 00:49:00 In the NBA we got the Pistons in first at 14 and 2 with the Raptors right behind them. Well, numerous teams behind them within one game but Pistons best one. And then we got the Thunder 16 and 1. Mamma Mia. They lost one game
Starting point is 00:49:18 that's pretty wild with the nuggets right behind. them. And in hockey, we got red wings in first, lightning and the Ottawa senators and the Bruins all one point behind them. That's a close one. You got the hurricane atop the Metropolitan with the New Jersey Devils right behind them. We got Colorado Avalanche, the best team in the NHL right now, Dallas Stars behind them. And then you got the Anaheim Ducks in first with the Golden Knights and the Cracken right behind them. See baseball officers. season occurring. We had sources Rangers Mets to swap
Starting point is 00:49:53 Simeon and Nemo. Marcus Simeon and Brandon Nemo traded. Wow, we. And that is sports. Okay. What is our fact of the day?
Starting point is 00:50:13 Fact of the day, fact of the day, fact of the day, fact of the day, fact, fact of the day. You remember more dreams when you sleep badly. Research suggests that if you sleep badly and wake up multiple times throughout the night, you'll be more able to recall the content of any dreams you had. You are also more likely to remember a dream when woken up from one.
Starting point is 00:50:37 That I believe. That sounds correct. Yeah. So, I mean, I've had plenty of times where I wake up and I go back to sleep and I remember dreams. Yeah, I, um, it sounds, it sounds reasonable to me. I definitely have that vibe of like I'll have a dream and I'll have slept really well and I'll be like, oh, I should remember that for Crendor and then I won't remember it all. But any dream I wake up from the dream itself or I'm woken up from it or I wake up in the middle of the night while having a dream.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I usually do remember those more. Yeah. And it's because I mean, I remember I used to even like back a while ago. I'd set an alarm just so I could wake up and like fall back asleep to remember my dreams. Hmm, sure. Because I was like, dude, yeah, you just, you wake up, you remember your dreams, which, I don't know if that was healthy, but, you know, I was like my early 20s. Sure, yeah, no, I know a lot of people try to do that dream walking stuff, or they try to have lucid dreams and things like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Yeah. I mean, dreams are cool. It's just, I mean, sometimes some dreams are more fun than others. It kind of just all depends. I know some people have terrible dreams So they probably don't want to remember their dreams Sure I think I've talked about this before
Starting point is 00:51:54 My dreams are never I either have extremely weird and bizarre dreams Or dreams that are so mundane That I almost question whether they were real Fair right Right like I had one dream for years and years I don't have it anymore But for years and years and years I had a dream
Starting point is 00:52:09 Back when I used to live in Ohio There was on Far Hills Avenue Like this like apartment community and it was really close to this place called town and country mall and that apartment community I never lived there but I dreamed about living there so much in my like late 20s
Starting point is 00:52:30 and again I don't know why I have no reason for any of this but in my late 20s I dreamed that I lived there to the point where I actually have in my life thought about the places I've lived and almost included that that was crazy that's how real it was
Starting point is 00:52:49 it genuinely is I keep thinking like because the dream was I have an apartment there as a secret second apartment because I don't want people coming over to see like my game set up
Starting point is 00:53:04 this is my secret cool kid game area and that's this apartment my other apartment's the one where I have the friends over like the parties and stuff but this is my other apartment that's the cool apartment genuinely
Starting point is 00:53:13 would be impossible to happen with the money I had as a teacher but like it is weird that for some reason that's what my brain did I don't know why couldn't explain it but I very much to this day
Starting point is 00:53:28 sometimes will think oh yeah no I had that no I didn't I didn't have that apartment I never had that apartment you essentially just dream gaslit yourself yes but I dreamt it so much and I don't know why I do understand why some people are like, what is real now?
Starting point is 00:53:46 Because that genuinely, to this day, I still think about like, but did I though? Maybe I just, maybe I had trauma from something and I blocked up the memory of me getting that apartment. Yeah. But I don't know. Feasibly, I don't know how it's possible. But for some reason, it's just there in my brain. Damn. That is pretty wild.
Starting point is 00:54:07 Dreams. How do they even work? Fact of the day. Okay. Who has come to us with tears in their eyes? We have people with tears in their eyes. Dear illustrious sirs with tears in my eyes and pockets full of little skittles with space butterflies.
Starting point is 00:54:25 I humbly ask, do you think your content will be different in 20 years? The author of Jojo's Bazaar Adventure has been working out since the 80s and is still ongoing since you guys have been making videos about less than half that time, any future predictions about what your work will be. Also, please watch Jojo's truly greatest show
Starting point is 00:54:41 and Jesse would love it. First off, I probably would. Yes. You probably would. I have tried watching it. It's not for me. So. I, man, truth be told, I think I started this so late that if you go back and watch some of my first videos, while the exact performance, performance is a rough word.
Starting point is 00:55:02 But, you know, like my inflections, the way I do things, has slowly changed over the years. The content is still the same. nothing has changed and I think because I started so late that that's not going to be a thing that's going to happen to me I might like the way I do things might be a little different
Starting point is 00:55:20 but like the content of what it is Will and I'm still going to be me in 20 years. Yeah. No, I can definitely see that because I mean that's like me I mean listen I've been doing YouTube for 16 years in like two months so I've almost hit 20 years
Starting point is 00:55:35 yeah and I mean you can you can clearly see it I've mentioned numerous times so you go back watch watch while leveling episode one and just skim through every like 20, 30 episodes and you'll watch the evolution of Crenthor. So it's, you know, and everything's kind of chilled out, more slowed down, you know, me included. So that's, that's kind of what's happened to me. So I mean, yeah, you know, and then in another 20 years, I'm sure I'll be different, but, you know, maybe,
Starting point is 00:56:05 maybe not as drastic of a change. Because, yeah, I think when you're starting, a younger, it kind of depends when you're starting whatever you're doing. So like if you start at like 19 to like 39 is going to be different from like 39 to 59. Like it'll still be changed, but I think not as drastic. But I would imagine if you started, I think the reason why we see a lot of
Starting point is 00:56:26 young people in their 20s have so many like dramatic things happen. Because your 20s is dramatic. Yeah. And you're in a space where people create drama. So yeah, you'll see a lot of people that started when they were 19 or 18 or 17 and I'll be like oh my god they're so immature what and then I realize oh no it's been 10 years
Starting point is 00:56:47 they're still only 27 you know what I mean and I'm like oh all right never mind that's my perception of time messing with me I expect more out of people but I was 27 and I was immature immature shit so I just had to pretend to be mature for eight hours a day while I was a teacher but the minute I left I like was not at all yeah so you know Well, there we go. And then, we do, do, do, do. Dear illustrious sirs with tears in my eyes, they come to you with my eyes closed and my cards hidden.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Will you ever try to resurrect TB's Secret Hitler get-togethers? I absolutely love listening to Jesse freak out in those. I mean, just like the, not even, but like, co-optional lounge. I feel like more than anything. Yeah, I would, I don't know if I'd do Secret Hitler right now. Yeah. I don't know that I do that, but. I would love to do like muffin time
Starting point is 00:57:42 That's a very fun game to play with friends Muffin time Muffin time Yeah it's Based off of those wonderful 80 FQM Whatever the hell they're called You know those, the animation
Starting point is 00:57:58 Yeah I see And they're very I'm even in one and I can't remember the name of the damn thing But it's based off of that And it's very fun Because basically it's a card game Where your objective is to get rid of all the cards
Starting point is 00:58:10 but everyone's trying to stop you from doing that and so it can be so like it can be anything each card maybe you have one card that's a trap card and you could be the trap card could literally be yawn and if you get another person at the table to yawn your trap activates or throw something at someone
Starting point is 00:58:31 and if they catch it it activates or if they don't catch it it activates things like that there's also one where I got it while playing and it was like do not talk to anyone else at the table. I'm like, okay, so I sat there quietly and people were freaking out like, what's he got? What's going on? It's very fun.
Starting point is 00:58:48 It's chaotic as hell. And it will make Mario party levels of enemies of your friends. It's great. That is pretty great. Yeah. And it isn't like a one versus five or it's like everyone for everyone and you're actively trying to screw each other and it's like goofy as hell. Yeah, that sounds pretty cool actually.
Starting point is 00:59:10 Yeah, it's actually, we've played it a bunch. I think we have a thing over on the Patreon. It was very fun. But it also makes people get so angry. Oh, yeah. That's like any of those games. Yeah. Good stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:23 Yeah. And I play that in a heartbeat. Yeah. And yes, that is the dear illustrious serves. All right. Well, what is our big new story of the day? Big new story of the day. Day, day, day.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Day. Day. Target workers and shoppers slam companies' new forced greeting policy. Nothing says corporate joy like mandatory smiles. Sure. Target missed the mark on this new initiative.
Starting point is 01:00:03 A new staff policy at Target, part of a program called 10-4 is forcing employees to engage with customers, more. Employees within 10 feet of a customer are now required to smile, make eye contact, wave, and use a friendly, approachable,
Starting point is 01:00:20 welcoming body language. Oh boy. Yo, I hate it. Oh, I hate it. Because you know it's like it's an unenforceable thing. So unless a man, now the manager's job is to walk around and be like, remember to smile. That's the same thing. It's like, if you got time to lean, you got time
Starting point is 01:00:38 to clean. Through that. Screw that. Yeah, that is, I hate that. Furthermore, staff within a four-foot radius of a shopper must also personally greet the customer and initiate a warm, helpful interaction. Company said the new programs are an attempt to elevate shopping experience for patrons, making them feel truly appreciated. Yeah, nothing says truly appreciated like being forced to talk to somebody. Right? We know when our guests are greeted, feel welcomed, and get the help they need.
Starting point is 01:01:08 that translates to guest love and loyalty Custanzo said in a statement, USA Today. That sounds like somebody who's a CEO that never shops at Target. Yes, yeah. Heading into the holiday, we're making adjustments and implementing new ways to increase connection
Starting point is 01:01:25 during the most important time of the year, powered by our team. Target did not specify when the new policy will be implemented or what would happen if an employee does not comply. It's funny that this is what they're focusing on when according to this very quick internet search I just did, analysis shows on average Target prices have risen by 5% since the start of the year. Yeah, that's the equivalent of like,
Starting point is 01:01:52 we didn't give you a Christmas bonus, but we got a pizza party. Like, woo. Yeah, they're saying that in the kitchen department of Target, all those like kitchen appliance things are now raised by up to 96% in price. but hey man at least they smiled when I went to the target yeah thank God weren't they dealing with the fact that no one was going to target and so they're like you know what would improve that
Starting point is 01:02:20 smiling yeah that'll that'll change everything three days ago literally oh this is so funny CNN business three days ago the biggest reason America is turning on target and switching to Walmart And I'm going to let you know. I guarantee it's not because they weren't greeted. One Reddit user who claims to be a target employee
Starting point is 01:02:46 shared that there has been an increase in secret shoppers to see if they're abiding by the new rules. Employees seen sounding off online about the new policy agree it's likely to backfire. Who the half is waving it guess? If I was a shopper, I would find that creepy. One target worker wrote, Who the heck waves?
Starting point is 01:03:04 I've never waved that a guess that would feel uncomfortable doing so. One worker mocked the policy saying, the person who came up with it is obviously an alien and should be investigated. There is no way they've lived on this planet for years think waving is completely natural thing to do with guests. Nothing says corporate joy
Starting point is 01:03:21 like a mandatory smile. Yeah, that's... Despite the backlash. Despite the backlash, Target's new policy is not marked different from the other major consumers facing roles, though it appears to take concept a few steps further
Starting point is 01:03:36 than the others. Walmart's 10-foot rule requires employees to make eye contact with customers. Meanwhile, Disney theme parks have a 10-5 rule in which cast members must smile, make eye contact at 10 feet, and greet them within 5 feet. Well, it's like a Disney theme park. That's different. It's different if, like, Go-ho!
Starting point is 01:03:53 And you're like, hey, it's goofy. Instead of like, hello there. It's like, oh, that's John from electronics. Yeah. Dude, the amount of just boomer people in the comments section is also, like, insane. They're just like, far too many workers today are selling rude and even contemptuous of patrons.
Starting point is 01:04:12 Like, dude, you're going to use the word contemptuous in an article about Target? If you hate your job and you hate your customers, you should quit your job. It's the customers who fuel the business. Oh, God, one of these. This is the type of person that, like- If everyone who hated their job quit, you would have no one working at Target. Yeah. On the other, oh, my God, they keep going.
Starting point is 01:04:33 On the other hand, I hate overly friendly employees. who get in your face and try too hard. Like, dude, this is the never going to be pleased person. Like, Jesus Christ. Then people need to get out of their shells. The company shouldn't have to ask for this, but retail in America has digressed so much
Starting point is 01:04:54 from small town Main Street days. That's because you killed it by going to Walmart and Target. You killed small town Main Street, boomers. You did that. And you know that they go to the store and they're just like, where's this item? And they're probably like, it's right over here. And they're like, well, I don't see it.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Where? Like, the person is like, ah, this is unbelievable. Like, we're out of this thing. Like, I'm going to talk to your manager. Like, you know, they're just the annoying. This is the person that everybody hates in a retail store. It's like some of these people. They're like, back in the old maintenance.
Starting point is 01:05:26 It's like they think they're back and like leave it to beaver small town. Like, you know, sody pop and a thing. And we'll just, you know, have a group. You know the reason why that guy was like, hey there, mister, welcome to the store. So nice to see you is because he could afford a house on that salary. Now, you can barely pay rent and you're expected to be like, hey there, mister, come on in. I'm so happy to be at this job that doesn't pay me at all. And then I get yelled at by people like you.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Yeah, like, come on now. So much fun. 100% is you don't, they don't have any inclination of what the world really. is like. Oh, yeah. They're stuck in there. Like, I have a home. I've had a home for 25 years. I don't understand the problem. Why are y'all acting like this? Yeah. It's like, cause you've, you haven't, it's like when, um, you hear like, uh, rich dudes talk. It's like that, that, uh, it's a banana. How expensive could be $10? Yeah. Like that. Yeah, it's. And, you know, ironically, it's also, uh, that same person that's
Starting point is 01:06:31 probably making this policy. I don't even, either way, that's the big. story of the day. All right. That's it for us. Thanks so much for listening and watching. I'm enjoying this podcast. Crendor! Hit them with the socials.
