Everybody, it's time for Cosette on Trend Dog.
Let me see Trend Dog in the morning.
In the morning.
Broadcastle live, live, live, live, live.
In 4-hour reporting studio, recording.
Record it.
Let me, wake your ass up.
It's up next, Trending, in the morning.
Hello, everybody.
I'm those on Cax and Cretor in the morning.
Wow, those are words.
Yep, I was scatmanning right there.
That was a scatman intro.
Yeah, the scatman can do it, baby.
So can you.
I'm the scatman.
Yeah, I've always said you were kind of like the scatman.
I've always wanted to be like scatman John.
I could do it.
I could do it.
You can do it.
Yeah, you just got to.
wiggle your tongue a bunch and make some noises. That's it. That's it. You're on the one-way
train the scat town. Nope. I don't know if you want to go there. No. No, sir. No, I am not.
Yeah, maybe you don't want to go there. No, I'm all right. I'm good. How are you doing?
Lovely, lovely. I just got, literally just got back from the mall. I went on like a little mall
expedition.
Nice.
Although I realized you just said
mall like mall
which in a world
of Warcraft world has a different connotation.
Yeah.
But yeah, I went to the
mall and
went around and did like a little walk around them.
I was like I want to go for a walk
today but I want to like get stuff done.
And I know the mall near me
has a bunch of different shops and stuff in it that I was like
ooh I could get stuff done there.
So I went and like you know
I went to J.C.
Pennies and bought a shirt to work out in.
And then I went over and got a soap at the one soap place.
And then I walked around, you know, just like did a morning.
I'm walking around the mall thing.
Yeah.
So I go to go get lunch at the mall.
I go to the food court area.
And there is a one of those Mongolian barbecue places where they do the grill thing.
They have the big round grill.
So I walk up to them.
And like, you know, I know how they do.
I'm no fool.
they either give you way too much rice and or noodles
and not enough of everything else
and I didn't want rice or noodles
I was there for the meat and veggies
I was trying to live a healthy life
right and I walk up and I'm like
yeah can I get the combo
and yeah
just chicken and beef please
and so the woman's like okay she puts the chicken
the beef she weighs it right
so already I know they're like
yeah she weighs it to make sure
she puts one of the beef things she gave me back
in the big container of meat.
And she's like, we're giving them too much meat.
We can't do that.
So then it comes to the veggies and I'm like, all right.
I want,
I want like broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumber,
you know, I want the peppers.
I'm like going through the whole thing.
I want water chest.
And you got to give them baby corns.
But I was like, all right.
And then everything you just put in there,
double that.
Like go back through and then do it again.
And she looked at me, she's like,
but there won't be any room for the noodles.
So like, oh, I don't want noodles.
And she's like, but everyone wants noodles.
And I'm like, no, no, I don't.
Just, you know, it's like full, but I know you put the noodles on top.
Just put more of the veggies on top.
Like, you know, if you can only do cabbage, fine.
Just give me a ton of cabbage.
Like, I'll be okay.
She's like, but what about the noodles?
Like, I don't want any.
I don't want the meat.
The little meat you gave me and then a bunch of vegetables because that's what I'm here for.
I want the vegetables.
And then I want the sauce.
I want an extra hot.
you know and she was like
but then where would I put the noodles
I don't want noodles I don't want
them and she looks at
the guy on the grill and he looks at her
and then they look to the cashier
and they're all like
what do we do?
Yeah they're like you know they looked around
trying to figure out what the hell is going on
and I just don't want the noodles
and they're like okay but
all right and I think
I think the realization that I had
they finally gave in
but when they gave me my food at the end,
it was, you know, that little bit of meat that they give you
and then two full helpings of vegetables, right?
Right.
But because it all cooked down when they put it in their giant bin thing they have
that's like their takeaway tray,
it was barely half of the tray.
Yeah, no, I see.
And it made me realize, oh, the noodles are how they mask
the fact that they're not giving you actually a lot of meat and vegetables.
Yeah.
No, that's absolutely.
And so they looked at me like I had cracked
I was like I don't care
I know what this is
I know you're about to not give me a full
plate of food
That's fine
I just want all these things
I don't with the noodles
And we'll be good
And I think they just thought like
Is he trying to see through the
You know the Matrix code here
What's he doing?
No I know what I wanted
Guys I don't care
I'm not trying to like gotcha
You guys don't provide me with enough food
Don't care
I know exactly what I'm doing
But they were shocked
They were like huh
It's like when people try to scam Chipotle.
They're just like, oh, can I just get a little more meat in there?
Just like an extra meat.
And then there's like, that'll be, that'll cost you double.
And they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
No, I just, I just want a little more meat.
I want double meat.
Or they try to like, people try to scam the Chipotle thing all the time.
So maybe there are people trying to scam them.
I mean, with that said, I just thought you were one of it.
I mean, sure.
Like with that said, I also get at Chipotle when someone gets mad where if you order a bowl
and then you see how much rice they put in that bowl,
compared to everything else, it's crazy.
Oh, yeah.
And that's just another, you know,
it's the same thing with the noodles.
It's just a way to make it appear
like there's more food there.
And I guess, you know, it technically counts.
That is a lot of, you know,
noodles and or rice or whatever.
But, you know, that's not what I'm there for,
clearly.
I'm there for your meat and your vegetables
and their weird sauces.
That's what I want.
Dude, the last two times
I went to Chipotle,
they made the rice terribly.
to where it's like really hard
and you can't eat it.
I don't know if it's overcooked,
undercooked,
but whatever it is,
I'm just like,
and then I'm like,
why don't I just make this myself?
Like, it's literally just like rice and beans.
Yes, that is the exact epiphany
I had myself,
except with breakfast, right?
I would for,
I don't even know how long,
too long is the answer,
go for when I was doing my morning walk,
I'd go over to this coffee place
and I'd get like a sandwich and a coffee
and then I'd go for my walk.
Except while the coffee is,
great. The sandwich is just okay. It's fine. But it was kind of a morning ritual, right? I get my
really good cup of coffee and my mediocre sandwich and I go for my walk. Well, I realized that for
the price of one of those sandwiches, and by realize I mean I knew it, but now I'm actually
acting on it. But I realized that I could just go to the grocery store, buy all the ingredients,
and make the sandwich at home, eat the sandwich as I walk over to the coffee place, get my great
cup of like, you know,
finely crafted espresso
and then go about my day.
And it's been a delightful
it's, you know what?
I'd make a better sandwich than that coffee place.
I'm going to say it.
Their coffee's great,
and they can make coffee better than I ever could.
Yeah.
But I'm destroying them in the sandwich game.
No, it's,
it's coming to the realization now.
You're like, dude,
I can just cook at home.
Like, the only downside is you have to cook
and clean and do all that,
but like, you know,
at least you know what you're eating
and it tastes good.
Yeah.
But I still like eating brunch, so we'll get brunch like once a week.
But that's more like you order things that you wouldn't normally cook there too.
Sure, of course.
And it's about the experience.
You get to like sit there.
You get like people watch, drink your coffee.
You hear like the old man be like, burn my bacon.
I want burn bacon.
You're just like, dude, hell yeah.
Hell yeah, old man.
Burn that bacon.
You get right in there and you burn it good.
I burned my bacon since World War I.
I ain't going to quit now.
But yeah, for everything else.
Most days, I just eat at home.
I make my coffee.
I have like a kind bar.
And then a few hours later, I have oatmeal.
That's pretty much my every day.
I wish I could get on that level.
I wish I could get on the, like, Crendor.
I eat like a little tiny, I don't know, chipmunk level.
But I can't.
Listen, that's not chipmunk level, all right?
I'm eating nuts.
Well, I guess chipmunks too.
Yeah, go on.
Yes.
Continue, please.
But those are high, those are dense calories.
A chipmunk would never eat dense calorie nuts.
That'd be crazy.
Listen, those nuts, I have like the oatmeal.
I put granola in there, some walnuts, blueberries.
It's good.
And it's calorically dense.
I get, I get what you're saying.
But the problem is, if I were to have a kind bar,
If I were to have like granola, like, my body is like something's missing.
Something's missing from this.
And it happens all the time.
Like, if I get a salad and it's just a salad, I need to either have meat with that salad or bread with that salad.
If it's just a salad, my body's like, that's not going to cut it, bro.
Like, what do you mean, body?
And it's like, sorry, man, I'm still hungry.
I'm still, you need, you should have eaten something else.
I'm like, oh, come on.
But if I have like a breadstick and or meat on the, I'm fine.
And I don't know why.
So for breakfast, eating like oatmeal, 20 minutes later, my body would be like,
what if we, what if we had bacon?
Right, bro?
What if we had bacon?
I'm like, body, stop it.
I'm just saying, though, it's so much better than that oatmeal you ate.
Plus, you get both technically.
And I'm like, technically you're right, body.
technically you're right.
Like I can't.
I can't just sit there and eat nuts and be like,
hmm, I'm fool now.
I can't.
It's impossible.
Well, my thing is I do,
I'm like that,
but for lunch and dinner,
not for breakfast.
So maybe that's the difference.
Maybe my body's just so accustomed to it.
So that might just be it.
Because then if I only do that for lunch,
I'll be like,
I'm still hungry.
But for some reason,
breakfast, I can do it.
I'm fine.
I don't know what it is.
Bless you. That's...
Thank you.
Like, that's why, for some reason, I get along well with avocado toast.
It's toast plus some sort of weird vegetable thing.
And my body's like, good, we're good. It's fine.
I don't know why.
I, like, have, like, an internal requirement that I must have something besides healthy.
And my body's like, hmm.
I mean, alcohol, or alcohol?
You can have alcohol with your breakfast.
I mean, I guess you technically can.
The avocado is, like, high in saturated fats.
and so is a lot of meat.
So maybe your body's just craving saturated fats.
That's probably it.
That could very well be it.
Because I'm just like, yeah,
trying to be like a healthy boy for breakfast.
Like I could eat some like fruits or something, you know, like,
but if I got just that,
then my body would be like,
you could also order a meat omelet though.
Like, you're right, body, you're right.
but also should I?
It's like, yeah, you should.
Like, okay.
Well, also, how many, are you only eating like two meals a day, three meals a day?
Like, is this, I know some people eat like two big meals.
It depends.
It depends on where I'm at or what I'm doing.
If I'm at home, probably three, I'll wake up.
I will go make some, at this point, I'm making Irish breakfast tea.
And then I will drink some water and make.
right now make a delicious breakfast sandwich
but then
you know a little later
we're on lunchtime like today
I went and I got that
my non-noodle Mongolian
barbecue
and then like tonight for dinner
I'll probably have
a shout out to one of our sponsors
a factor meal which is sitting in my fridge
okay that's pretty normal then that's what I'll do
yeah and I might like have a snack
during the day I got like
yo what the hell of these things called
Dots
Dots
Pretzels
Yeah yeah
So there's Dots
Pretzels
Where it's like a brand of pretzel
But ignore the pretzels for a minute
Ignore that
All right
They have
Like
It's basically checks mix
But not
It's dot snack mix
That shit
Slaps dude
It's so good
It's delicious
I think I've actually seen that
It's
It might be my new favorite
Like snack
It really is like just, it tastes great.
It isn't as like, what's the right word?
It doesn't feel as processed as checks mix, which rip checks mix.
Yeah, and it's great.
It tastes good.
And so I have a bag of that and I just snack on it every once in a while.
And it usually lasts me a little bit.
And so, yeah, that's where I've been vibing.
But, yeah, that's if you like pretzely things.
I see.
Okay.
I mean, I do like pretzley things.
Me too, dude.
Pretzels are good.
And pretzley things are good.
Those are my, I love pretzily things.
And this is, yeah, you get pretzels and it has like those little, whatever those things are,
the little hard as hell, like bread pieces, you know, you know what I'm talking about,
the brown ones, whatever that is.
And then it has fake checks in there and then it has pita chips.
It's good.
Oh, yeah, the pita chips.
Yep, yep.
Good stuff. I like it a lot.
That was pretty good.
It's pretty solid.
Yes, I mean, that's kind of where I'm rolling when it comes to food and snacking and whatnot.
But I'm also just kind of like, you know, I'm trying to lose weight, but I also don't want to be one of those people that like starves themselves, loses weight.
And then the minute they're on the other side starts eating again.
And then it's like, I gained it all back.
I'm trying actively to just make healthier.
choices that require me to, you know, I'm not going to change much.
That makes any sense.
Yeah.
I mean, that's the healthiest way to go about it.
People do that shit with working out too.
They're like, I'm just going to work out nonstop.
I'm going to do all this stuff.
And then they like burn out.
And then they either get injured or they get burned out.
And then they're just like, all right, I'm done.
And then you just go back to it.
So it's like, what if you just like, just do a little bit.
You know, lift a little bit of weights.
Do a little bit of cardio.
You just do that.
And you just build up.
And then before you know it.
you're doing better and it's part of your life.
Yeah, that's pretty much it really, is I'm just kind of like,
I'm taking it slow and steady,
trying to make long-term changes rather than just get it done,
which seems to be a lot of people's problem,
at least from what I've seen,
a lot of people are like, I lost a ton of weight,
and like, that's amazing.
And then a month later, they're back to where they were.
Yeah.
No, that's, I'd say that's a thing a lot of people do too,
because it's easy to get really motivated.
motivated, go all in, be like, let's get it done. And then just burn yourself out. I mean, people do that with even YouTube, with streaming, with hobbies. Like, people do that with a lot of different things. Yeah. And that's, it's unfortunate because it's that passion you have to do it. And you're like, yes, I'm in it. And you need that. But you also need to regulate it or else it will burn you out. Yeah. It's like doing a sub-a-thon. That is, that is real.
constantly sitting there
streaming all day
destroying your body
it's uh
I don't understand I don't get it
but you know people be doing subathons
like scams stripping
but his stuffathon is still going on
I don't understand I don't understand it
like that's I don't know I guess I don't know the rules
of a subathon because I thought
like it's been weeks
yep day 26
it says of right now.
That can't be, like I just don't,
maybe I don't, I don't understand. Hold on, hold on.
Hold on. Hold on.
What is a sub-a-thon?
Uh-huh.
How sub-athons work.
The stream starts with a base amount of time visible count down.
Every time a viewer subscribes,
gifts of subscription,
cheers with bits,
donates it more times added.
Some streamers set maximum time limit
to protect their health,
while others run uncapped streams.
I can go by for days or weeks.
Yep.
Streamers often set secondary goals,
such as eating spicy food,
playing specific games,
or doing challenges
when certain subscription milestones are met.
That's a sub-a-thon, all right.
Yeah.
But the thing is, like,
back in the day,
it felt like people would do sub-a-thons
as like,
I'm just going to stream for, like,
48 hours,
or, like, they would just stream
as long as possible
and then, like, pass out.
Like, they wouldn't sleep.
So it used to be, like,
an unhealthy thing of,
like,
we're not going to sleep.
We just stream.
And then it ends. And then people are like, hey, I could just like play YouTube videos and go sleep and then come back and start streaming again. Then it's like I'm just streaming normally and people watch YouTube videos while I'm gone. And that's kind of become the new meta of Sub-Athon. So it's like, hey guys, you know, I'm going to go leave and sleep, but I'll come back and then we'll just start streaming right again like when I wake up. And so that's that's essentially the Sub-Athon meta where people can do it for days and, you know, weeks and months.
And it just hits a point where it's like, I don't know, I would just value my health too much.
It's crazy.
So looking up subathons and how subathons have taken off in the different form you're talking about, it really started during COVID.
Like I'm looking back and basically all the big modern day subathons are either based off of Ludwig's 2001 subathon.
Oh, yeah.
Kaisenatz, sorry, not 2001, 2021.
Kai Sinat's 2021 sub-a-thon
Pokemon's 2020-sub-a-thon
So basically it's like that 20-20-2020 one
When everyone was stuck inside
And they had nowhere to go
So they literally just started doing sub-a-thons
To make money
But here's the thing
It's not bad anymore
Yeah
We're not all stuck inside
So doing this like seems insane
But also to be clear
Ludwig Kai, Pockeman, XQValki, Valki
Art some of, like they're the top
0-000-0-0-0-0-0-1% of streamers
Yeah. It's like when you check he may he got 282,000 subscribers.
Right.
So I mean, he did a sub-a-thon but made like half a million dollars, if not more.
Right, right, right.
So like, you know, you can probably do a 30-day sub-a-thon and be like, hey, guys, I'm going to take a couple months off now.
Be all right.
So, yeah, there's people doing sub-athons that definitely are not getting that many subs.
much less and still
like deteriorating their health.
I mean it clearly gets money
and I guess it's all perspective.
Like if you have none
getting some is a lot better than
none. You know what I mean?
Yeah. So it's perspective
but I guess I just don't understand
how it can go so long.
Like surely you know in this case
going back to Sam
surely there's things this man wants to do
besides like in my mind
when I streamed
I only stream when I have no other commitments.
Does that make sense?
Like when I know I have nothing else going on, I'll stream.
But if I have things I need to do,
I got to focus on that before I stream.
And it's like, well, what do you do for fun though?
And that I think is the problem where you're talking about burnout.
I think that's like because it's so fun
and because you're making money and because you have success,
you don't burn out.
You just keep going and going and going.
And then the burnout creeps in.
Like you don't notice it, but it will be there.
And I think the people who burn out, you know, the fastest are the ones that don't see a lot of that growth.
But a lot of people are stuck in that sub mode thing.
They see the numbers coming in.
They're like, oh, numbers up.
People like me.
Everything's good.
But you will burn out eventually.
Yeah.
It's impossible not to.
And I mean, it's like, it's like you said, it's all kind of subjectively depends on your situation.
Like if you're going to work, I don't know, you have to work like 12 hours at Walmart versus.
like a 12-hour stream day
and you're gonna make like the same amount,
people would probably rather stream, right?
Like I guess it depends on your situation.
But I mean, there's,
this is one of the reasons I still don't like being,
like, or don't like streaming as a primary source
of your income.
That's the reason I went back to YouTube.
It's like YouTube's just better for every metric.
It's better for you make a video and get discovered.
Like there's more discoverability.
It's easier to get found.
by people in general with different kinds,
different types of like content.
In the business world though,
YouTube is kind of old hat and streaming's where it's at.
Streaming is where people are like,
yo, the people that connect us to the people out there,
the ones we're gonna work with with brand integration and whatnot,
it's all streaming.
It's all streaming now.
And I think it's also a, you know,
the sub-a-thon thing,
it's also a little bit because sub-athons have that kind of,
um,
And it has panned out to be true for the most successful people that subathons kind of engage your audience to give you more.
Right.
They definitely do.
And so people do it because they're like, oh, my audience will, you know, I, man, I got to pay rent this month.
So we're doing a subathon.
And that, and it will like, you know, you have an excuse to be like, hey, please donate and support for the subathon.
rather than just saying it normally,
it makes it an easier ask.
But,
you know,
I think a lot of people just assume
if I do a sub-a-thon,
I will get more subs.
Absolutely.
That's definitely it.
And I mean,
it's one of the things,
like I was saying,
where it's a combination of stuff.
But when you're doing something,
streamer first,
if you're like,
I'm going to be a streamer,
that's what you have to rely on.
You have to rely on people
giving you,
giving you money
or on sponsors.
And if you're big enough, then like, sure, that's easy.
You'll get sponsors, you'll get other things.
But it's like, if you're not, then you're just, like, driving yourself into the ground.
Which is why on YouTube, it's much easier to make a video.
It can get discovered.
And then through that, you can, like, tell people you stream and then you get new watchers of your stream.
Like, it's just, YouTube's just better in every way for...
Yeah, and YouTube can be like, a great example is, I'm really interested in Warcraft forever.
And I Google search while for...
forever and I might find 80 different videos that are like here's my hot take but then I also
if I watch one we'll start getting fed videos and YouTube loves to do this shit but then it might end up
being your video of like I went through every zone you know what I mean and it can happen like a great
example is this week a lot of people started doing reviews for um uh control resonant and my video
which is like a beginner's guide to the Remedyverse
is showing up on a lot of people's feeds.
I see the data.
And there are people click,
more people are,
this is the first video in a while,
more people have clicked
that aren't subscribers of mine than usual.
Usually subscribers click my videos
and no one else cares.
And now this is people who have no clue
who I am watching this video.
Yeah.
And that's really what you want.
Yeah, you can't do that.
That's not a thing on Twitch.
That does not exist.
Yeah, Twitch is very much a you need people to keep watching.
Like you need to get people to want to watch you and keep watching you.
And the more and more saturated it gets, the harder that is.
So it's Twitch to me, like, to me Twitch is there is like a chill, like side type of thing,
which is what it started out as for me at least is, you know, I did YouTube and then you stream and be like,
hey, you know what?
I'm going to play StarCraft.
I'm going to play Warcraft 3.
I'm going to play wow and just talk to chat, chill.
have a good time and you know if I get subs I do if I don't I don't and I think that's it's a much
healthier way and you don't have to be like I missed a day of streaming I'm gonna go insane so it's
like I view that as just a healthier good but at the same time it's hard to get to that point
because then you have to have a YouTube channel and something you're doing on YouTube that allows
you to do that instead because a lot of people when they're streamers they do YouTube
they're just like well I'll do YouTube and their YouTube is just them getting clips of
streams and then editing those with like, oh god, what is that girl's name? Stormfall. There was nothing
particularly different about her streams. There are many people that streamed just like her. But what
she did do is she generated clips. I don't know if it was a conscious decision on her part to
clip farm or she just creates fun moments every now and again. But what ended up happening is
they became shorts on YouTube and those blew up to the point where I kept seeing them all the
time. And then it led back to her Twitch. And now she's rocking 2,500 people every stream
at minimum, like on average. And that's how you do it, to be real. You use the other platform,
like whatever your main platform is, you have to be everywhere. We've talked about this. You
have to be everywhere. Yeah. I would still say that's like an outlier type of thing to that level
of success. Oh, for sure, but now you had. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Like there are other,
other people doing
like other
the exact same thing she's doing
she just had
really great like the clips
she used again if you watch her streams
she is for the most part
kind of it's like she'll interact with chat
but she kind of like Sam a little bit and there'll be moments of just
complete quiet and she's just playing the thing right
so why did she
get more traction than other people and I generally think
it's because the clips she made were the equivalent of when you saw people playing like
um arc survival or eve online or whatever where you see one amazing moment you're like oh my god
is it all like that and then you have to go check it out that i think is what happened they she just
had really great clips chosen to be used to promote and that's what i mean like that's really kind
what it is, is just being
able to take your best stuff and market
it well. Yeah.
I mean, that's probably at the end of the day what it's
all about is taking what you're good at
and doing it in a
way that generates
new viewership and makes people
want to watch you and come back. Yeah.
That's really what it is. And she
does that extremely well. And I would say
you know, a lot of, I mean, people like us
like I can kind of get away with things.
I can play off nostalgia a bit.
How we react to the AI
nostalgia.
Yeah, yeah.
Too old for this thing, but like, that is a thing.
Like, the amount of people when I'm doing Wow
Forever, they're just like, Crendor's still around.
He's still here.
And I'm like, dude, barely.
Yes, yes.
But I think that's part of what makes your
wow videos happening right now successful.
Is that Crenor's still around.
He's still playing this game.
I like him. I'll watch this stuff.
Yeah, exactly.
So I do have the benefit of that nostalgia factor
of like people already know who I am.
And not everybody's going to have that clearly.
But I think...
Right. But you're using...
You know, again, you're using
the fervor for
while forever right now.
And you're creating content
and you're in it.
Again, it's that kind of you have to...
It goes back to that one video we watched
where C-Dog was all like,
you got to strike while the iron's hot.
And that's the vibe. It really is.
You just got to keep going.
But like I was saying,
sometimes that Iron B-2
hot man and sometimes you will burn yourself
and you don't want to burn out.
Yeah. Like I could be making
videos every day. I could be streaming
this nonstop and I'm like, you know what?
Like I'm going to, I'm going to keep going
making more videos than usual streaming this
but like I'm not going to go crazy.
Right? Because again, it is the balance.
You got to stay balanced.
But also
I think the other nice thing is
I can offer a perspective
that's just like
it's the non-content
like chill vibe
where you get a lot of streamers and YouTubers
and people you click on it and they'll just be like
is wow forever dying
isn't going to be the thing or it's just like chat
GPT scripts of like wow forever
isn't just a game
it's an experience for play
and I just like show up and I'm just like
hey man what's up I just
play this game it's pretty good
like I'm just like some like a normal person
talking I'm like listen I didn't script this shit
all right I'm not I'm not going
crazy I'm just here to be like a normal
And I think that also resonates a lot, especially in our modern society of all that shit.
It's weird to say this, but your success on sort of a, you know, people come to me because they want to get, you know, normal commentary.
I want to be like, thank God everything's changed.
Thank God everything's good.
But if you look at the channels that are like the drama channels for, for wow, their numbers have never been bigger.
Oh, absolutely.
Like, they are so, like, seeing your success, I'm like, yes, it's so nice to see Crendor is like just killing it right now.
And people are like, yeah, I want to know more about, well, forever.
I'll let go into someone who's not going to be like a psychopath when they talk about it.
But then you look at all the other content creators who are making stuff, who most of their content is like, are you just always mad?
their numbers are huge
like grossly huge
yeah
and that's just
that's just the way it always is
for any game
it's always the negativity
will get the higher views
but yeah
you know it's it's also
that type of environment
also breeds toxicity
toxicity
toxicity
in our safety
but yeah you know
it's like sure you get less views
but like it's just a much better
you know culture
society that you build in terms of your channel.
You don't have to have 8,000 mods on your streams or whatever.
Yeah.
And having to go.
Like, it's crazy because watching you play or watching people who I enjoy play
to get me like kind of hype to jump back in in November.
I'm like, yeah, this looks fun.
Oh, that's so neat.
Mulgore.
Oh, wow, look at that.
Or like Stormwind looks so cool at night.
Oh, that's really nice.
that's one type of video and I love that
and then there's a whole
it just baffles me there's a whole other section
of the internet where
videos are being made about how
awful the new
like sky elves are
right and I'm like
all right well first off you need to tell me they were awful
I already knew that except I'm an adult
so I'm not going to pay for them
I don't want to deal with them
they're clearly new wow
and I want the old wow experience
and it's very funny
because all the videos are like,
these new elves, their starting zone
feels like modern well,
it feels like, you know, retail,
where at the end at level 10,
you have to fight like an epic world ending boss,
and it's so crazy.
And I was like, yeah, I mean, yeah.
So I'm not gonna do that.
And I'll be all right.
But like, thank you for letting me know.
They're like, it ruins the game.
Everything's, I'm like, no, it doesn't.
No, it doesn't.
It doesn't ruin the game.
That may suck, and I don't like it.
But that's like 10 levels of,
content for people who just want to play elves.
You could play an ork and never
see that and be just fine.
Now, I will say
there is the
juxtaposition of
they are like standing out
compared to the classic assets.
So some people are just like, I want to see
classic stuff and then there's like retail looking
things and it just looks weird.
Oh, I can get that. I can
I saw some guy post a
thing of like, this is
my human rogue.
And this is what I made her look like as like the normal old assets.
And when I turn on the HD thing, this is what she looks like.
And it was significantly worse.
Yep.
Like she looked ridiculously bad.
And I was like, what?
Okay, that you can complain about.
That seems weird to make choices like that.
But to be like this new thing for this new faction that was added brand new,
of course it's going to represent the way Wow was made today.
Yeah, it's
But the thing is like
When people make these videos
They aren't just like
Hey guys let's have like a nice
Logistical chat about the thing
It's just like
This may destroy the game
Like it's always some sort of cataclysmic
Thing that's going on
It's like
Like I don't know
I'm playing it
And like sure like I'll see a thing
And be like ah
That looks kind of weird
But you know
I just
I just keep going
It's like it's not gonna
Make me close the game
Yeah, I don't know
It's interesting to see the way people cover it and what they focus on
Because it's very clear that some people
Are geared towards focusing on positives
And some people only see negatives
Yeah, but many people don't only see negatives
Also only see it for views
That's real
So yeah
They probably go hunting for the like
What's wrong with it so I can talk about it
Yeah, I mean I've seen plenty of people
That'll be like, this might be the worst game ever
And then they're like, actually it's the best game ever
I mean, it's that YouTube thing.
Someone made that, like, meme of it's just like the YouTube cycle.
They're just like, well, this game changed the thing forever.
And they're like, the game came out.
It's amazing.
Like, actually, the game's getting bad.
Actually, the game's getting something new.
It just like loops over and over.
That's pretty much the thing in all my videos.
I'll just be like, here's the thing I think.
And someone will just be like, they need to put the war back in warcraft.
It's just like slogans.
I'm like, what does that mean?
And they're like, um, orcs versus humans.
I'm like, they did that.
There's like, um, yeah, like, it's always easy to do like generalizations.
Yeah, I mean, like, I understand, I understand one to have a vibe,
but I feel like saying the phrase put the war back in Warcraft,
there's an implicit thought there that it, oh, you're one of those people that doesn't like
the fact that most of the story right now is like,
and then the horde of lines joined together to fight the space god.
Like, you want it to be simple, it's what you're saying.
It's what you mean.
You want it to go back to being a simple story.
Exactly.
It just becomes like a phrase that said, but it's like, what are like, let's break it down.
What do you actually want?
Like, let's talk about what you like, what you dislike.
Have you played the game recently?
Like, there's so many things you can talk about.
Yes.
It's the same vibe as like, make America great again.
And what way?
When?
How?
One was great.
How does that work?
What do you mean by that?
It's a vibe thing.
It's a, they have a vibe.
And they would like.
that vibe again. It's like, all right, but what does that mean to you? What is the, what's the vibe
you're going for? And it's hard for people to explain because it's a, it's a slogan more than it is a
thing. Yeah. And I mean, the thing is people, there's always been slogans. Like obviously,
the, the, the MAGA one is like the most recent one. But like, you know, we had, uh,
the, like going all the way back. I remember there was the, what was the Barack Obama one? It was like,
yes, we can. There was like hope. Yeah, yeah. Hope and all.
Like, yeah.
There's always been slogans.
It's just, I think we've also reached a point where we've learned a lot more about psychological
marketing.
And I think that, plus, you know, social media and all these different things.
But I mean, that's the same vibe.
It's like put the war back in Warcraft has the same connotation as like, make America.
It's, it's, we want to go back to it before time.
But most of it is rose tinted glasses.
Like, looking back and being like, it was better back then.
Well, back when?
You know, back then.
It's like, no, I don't.
When specifically?
Like, when people talk about, like, putting the war back in Warcraft,
what expansion was that moment for you?
Well, this, I talk about this in our too old for this thing.
But this is also another, this almost borders on another generic statement because when you,
when you say like it was better back then, that's also a generic statement.
And that's all, because it's like, there are certain things that were better back then.
Like, there are prices.
were better.
There's like,
there could be,
you know,
like,
I think the corporate buildings
were better with like how they used to look cool,
that personality,
like a Panera head like style.
Now it's just like a gray block.
It's like,
yeah,
there's plenty of things that were better,
but there's also things that were worse.
Like medical science was worse.
They couldn't do robot surgeries on your gallbladder back then.
So I'm like,
thank God we did,
I'm not there now.
Right?
Like,
though,
that's the problem is there's so many things that could be better or worse.
and it's just a very gray scale area
and you have to specify what you're talking about
but nobody's going to do that. They're just going to go
right, right, right. And that's that.
Yeah, what they mean
really truly is back to when I felt something.
Yeah, and it's
like, listen, there's plenty of things about classic wow
I enjoy. I like the slower pace.
I like a lot of the RPG style.
I like a lot of the systems they had.
Sometimes modern wow just feels like a checklist.
There's so many things. There's like 50 different
currencies. I'm like, dude, I don't know what I'm doing right now. I have like all these
badges and shit. And this, I'm just like, oh, okay, it's got like my stuff. Like, it's very
simplistic. I'm like, this is nice. So like, I like that. But then there's plenty of
times, which like, you know, with Wow Forever, how they introduce, uh, just like some more
convenient stuff like the auction house. As people being like, it's the retail auction house.
And I'm like, retail auction house is actually pretty good. So like, it's fine. It's fine with me.
It's much better than the old one. It is weird to put complaints
about retail on Wow Forever when Wow Classic exists.
Yeah.
Like it's right there, go play that.
You don't have to play this one.
The problem is that you're,
these are people that are probably just being like classic pluses here.
Like it's gonna, it's gonna happen.
And they have their own idea of what it is.
And so that when it's not that,
that's when they get upset.
It should be this and it's not.
And that be, and that ties into that like emotional reaction
like I grew up with this, I care about it, and then they're like, now they're going to make it the way I want, and then they don't, and then you get upset.
Yeah. Yeah.
So yeah. It's like, you know, I mean, imagine if they made like a Final Fantasy classic.
There's going to be people that would be like, it's not like the way it was.
Then you might say like, the way it was used to suck. So I'm glad it was. And then someone will be like, but that's the way it was.
Right? Like it's people are just going to have those attachments to certain things.
I feel pretty called out, actually. That's how I feel about the new.
Warcraft 3 stuff where
I'm like, cool.
It looks great. I watched you play some of it.
Like, oh yeah, all right.
But I don't think I'm going to pick it up
simply because it isn't like
something a little off about it.
I don't know how to describe it.
It doesn't feel like Warcraft 3.
Yeah. No, I actually kind of get that as well.
It's like it's a little slower
and there is something off about it as well.
I noticed that.
Like I'm still going to play through it.
Yeah, like something's missing.
And I don't know what it is.
I can't define it.
But very much like, you know, what we're talking about,
I know that I'm like,
it would be like make Warcraft 3 better again.
Because, yeah, I don't know how to describe it,
but it just didn't feel right to me.
And so I was like, clearly I'm,
I'm better than this game and I shall not pick it up.
And I think that's, it becomes the thing of like,
will you just stand by the opinion you have just to be like,
But you can also be like, hey, you know what?
I'm going to try to analyze, like, what don't I like?
And, like, maybe there's a thing I can fix.
Maybe there's something that I can, like, in pinpoint that I don't like,
and that's what I'll tell people.
Like, hey, you know what?
It's just not as fat.
Like, it definitely feels like it dropped to speed.
Like, the game just feels a little slower compared to the normal style.
And that might just be me.
I don't know.
I'd have to, like, check.
But I'm like, you know, we could figure that out instead of just being like, it's shit.
Like, all right.
Yeah, yeah.
But like even a, dude, I've been playing Starcraft, and that's been a lot of fun.
Because I always played Starcraft multiplayer.
I never played the campaigns, because as you know, I'm not a video game story person.
You're missing out on the delightful space romance of Sarah Kerrigan and Jim Raynor.
Well, I'm now on the final mission of Brood War.
Yo!
That's the best mission. It's great.
It's, there's, up until now, there's been some.
missions that are easy, there's been some normal ones.
There's been a couple that made me go insane.
And there's
there's been some though
are just like some of the hardest missions I've done.
But I beat it and I'm like, oh my gosh.
Now I'm on the final one.
And then I'm probably gonna play that later tonight actually.
And then she calls herself the queen bitch.
And so I'll see
how that goes.
I believe Jim says something along lines of like,
I'm coming for you space bitch.
And I was like, yo, it was great.
It was great. And then StarCraft 2
ruined all of it.
Well, that's what I'm excited for.
So I'm like, I've played StarCraft too.
I mean, I played StarCraft back in the day, but again, I only played multiplayer.
So I'm like, now I'm excited to see StarCraft 2 and how it feels and like all these different
things.
Wings of Liberty, it rocks.
Like, it's really cool.
The first of the three campaigns is really, really fun.
It's insane.
The story's like, wait, what?
But it's neat.
And then the second game is a little more like,
Huh, okay.
And the third game is the most off the rails nonsense story I've ever seen.
This is not a spoiler.
This is a fact.
Every villain in the Blizzard franchises,
if they make the villain a woman,
it's the same character every time.
It literally, like, there is no difference in my mind
between Sarah Kerrigan, Lilith, or Silvanus.
None.
does feel the same. They're the exact same character in three different games. They have this thing.
They have this need. She's terrible. She's the worst. What a badass batty. Oh my God. She's terrible.
Actually, actually what you didn't know? This is a reason behind all of it. And actually, she's going to be the hero that saves all of us.
Yep. And they were corrupted in some way. You can't. All right. One time, fine. Multiple times. Like, what do you mean? We can't keep doing this. I don't.
know. It drives me crazy. I'm like, you guys have
so much talent and you write the same
thing. Yeah, they have like
so many different ways they could
write a character and they're like, what if we
do it again? I'll do it again. That's the goofy
meme.
I'll do it again.
It's
because I was noticing. I was playing and seeing
Carrigan and stuff and I'm like, it just reminds me a lot
of Silvana. So I was like, wait, this happened
before Sylvan. Yes,
that's what's so weird about it. Is it
it's like a trope they love
but it's not a
like it's not a great trope
because
minor spoilers
Sylvannis
burns like literally
murders countless night elves
right
easily forgiven
Kerrigan
murders billions of people
across the stars
but she's our savior
easily forgiven
Lilith
is literally
part of the
reason why suffering exists
on, like,
in, like,
the reason for Diablo as a world
exists because of Lilith.
And everyone's like, but she, she makes
some good points, though.
Like, it's nuts to me.
That is actually insane.
And I, yeah, I don't know why. I don't know why.
Like, and if it was, if it was the thing they did with all
their characters, I would, I'd be like, okay, that's just the
blizzard thing. They love doing, like, bad person gets
redeemed. But it is very specifically just with like, is it an attractive woman we can stick
on the title of our game? Great. That's the one. And they have to be corrupted in some way at some point.
Right, right. Attractive, but corrupted in like a bad girl way. Yeah, yeah. Like, not too attractive,
but like you still, you still would have sex with this creature. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Like even like honestly, even the opening of Warcraft 3, you can tell they're like glazing
Slavannis already. They're just like, it's Queen Silvatus. And then they have to like kneel
before and then the
Dark Ranger like elbows the guy like
Neil you idiot and they're just like it's Solvonis
and I'm like is this going to be like
the hey
we love Sylvanus this is how she got control
by the way here in the latest wow
expansion she's going to come back and save the day
because she already kind of has
like I already know it is
I don't even know what that is it 100%
is them having seen
all of the Warcraft 3 like new
stuff they made it's pure
glazory it is like you're in
a donut shop because they are they be glazing yeah the whole thing is like savonis rules actually
yeah and then they're like wow people love wow forever and it's like yeah because i'm just like out in the
world helping mancric find his wife and now they they actually added a quest and now he has like a bonus
quest after that that's amazing yeah what's what's funny is that uh i think you brought this up before
but it is interesting that uh in all the media savonis is the person going for the whole
yet in game she's like
F the horde I hate the horde
you all suck
Oh yeah
Noble said that
Yeah that's what it was
That's crazy that's crazy to me
Yeah it's
I just want some like logistical consistency is all
Like that's all I want
It's like maybe they're like you can't escape
The Ma except for me you
Silvanus
Everybody
Like
Okay or I did
Listen I'm I'm just
doing my quests out in the Barons.
I'm having a great time. I killed some centaurs.
I'm glad that that's
a thing I can do now.
Yeah, I'm excited. That's what I'm excited
for. I want to play that.
And I don't, and this isn't like
I can't wait to go back to the
better times. Like, I
understand that time marches on.
It's not going to be a better time. I just want
to have an experience that I'll be like, that was fun.
You know, I'm not trying to like
relive 10, 15 years ago.
Yeah.
I mean, I've had some people in comments or things just be like, you like, wow, forever classic because of nostalgia.
And I'm like, I mean, there's probably an element of that, like, sure, but it's like genuinely a good game.
I mean, you can watch even people like, what's his name, G-Bay.
If you've seen G-Bay on YouTube, he started playing Warcraft 3 and that made him want to play Wow.
And then he tried retail.
He tried Classic.
And he's just like, dude, like, I just started playing Classic Wow.
Like, this is an insane game.
Like, I'm addicted.
I can't stop playing.
And he's like never played Wow before.
So it's like, I mean, both things can be true.
It can be a good game and it can be nostalgic.
And I think that creates a more powerful tie to it.
But like, it's still a good game.
Like it's a good slow RPG.
Like there's a reason wow was as big as it was back in the day.
Yeah, I mean, there's, there are people playing Warcraft 1 now.
There's EverQuest is still a thing.
People are jumping back into Final Fantasy 11, RuneScape, Ultima.
Oh, yeah.
People are going back to older games.
And I think, you know, this is probably generalization.
but I think in a rush to make everything as monetizable as possible,
modern online gaming lacks something that was there in the old versions of online gaming.
Like it feels a little soulless.
And I think people recognize that and pick up on that.
And yeah, while those older games are probably slower or, you know, not as beautiful to look at,
there's something in them that feels a little more innocent.
and a little more like, oh, yeah, this is what online gaming used to be.
He used to have to be like, I'm in a town shouting for a party, or I'm, like, that kind of thing.
It's an experience that we don't have anymore.
I think people want to have that again.
Yeah, I mean, I said before, but like modern while a lot of times feels like a checklist.
It's like I log in.
I'm like, did I do my thing?
That I do my daily?
Did I do my thing for my crests?
That I do my other weekly?
And it's just like, it doesn't feel like I'm jumping in to be a,
like, let's go explore, which is why I just like,
Wow Mount Farm and explore the world
myself, because then I'm like, hey, you know what, this is pretty
fun. And that's kind of what
the Wow Forever, Classic Wow
does give you, is that ability to just
like play the game at your own pace, level,
explore, just kind of chill out, like,
whoa, that's pretty cool, or I can get some buffs
and sit by the fire with people, and then
some guys talking, you're just like, oh, what's up,
man? Like, it's, you know,
someone runs by and buffs you with arcane
intellect, and you're just like, yo, thanks,
like that type of thing. Community is what
it is, it's the community again.
It's a lot of the new modern features for MMOs were added because players wanted to
get in quick, do something quick, quick, quick, quick.
And that's great.
It allows more people to try stuff and to get into it, but it kills off what made MMOs
popular, which was my friends are there.
I'm going to log in and talk with my friends.
And oh, this person came over and did a thing.
And like, it's, yeah, it's the idea that you're online.
with a bunch of people.
And, you know, you don't really have that feeling anymore.
Yeah.
And it's, I mean, there's still, like, plenty of things.
Like, with retail, like, Mythic Plus is good, ratings good.
Like, there's a lot of good systems in retail, wow,
but it does kind of lack in those areas that it used to thrive in.
I mean, it's a different experience.
You know, like, it is completely different from top to bottom.
And it's because, like you said,
there's a million different currencies and a million different currencies,
and a million different ways to play
and a million different types of players
and everyone kind of
and back in the day
there was only so much you could do
and it just
you know redefined how you play
now because there's so much
you know it changes the play experience
and in you know years ago
it was what it was
yeah and I mean that's
that's kind of the thing with the new wow
is that people have mastered classic wow
like it's been out for a billion years
people know what to do what gear to get
and now they're just like
shaking it up. Like, what if we made new gear? What if we
redid some of the gear? What if we made
more dungeons? What if there were quests where there
weren't any quests before? What if you had, like, more
quests? And it's just like, dude,
this is pretty cool.
I think that's what makes it so fun. Like, wow, I can hit, like,
level 37 and not have to grind centaurs
for an entire level and desalus.
Like, this is pretty neat.
So, yeah.
It's got me wanting to try stuff I've never
tried before. Like, I want to, I'm like,
maybe I'll be a shadow priest. Like a,
a troll shadow priest could be fun.
Like I've never done that before.
You know, that kind of stuff.
I'm like,
huh,
maybe I'll try something new.
Yeah.
Look at that.
So,
only time we'll tell
on how good it is
and how it plays out and everything.
But I'm pretty hopeful.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
So,
Wahoo,
but you know what I'm
very optimistic about?
There you go.
All right,
I was waiting for it.

That's me.
Oh, all right, let's go to chopper.
That's the guy with Crenor.
How's that traffic out there?
Oh, man, let me tell you about the traffic.
It's, uh, it's raining a lot, so it's not good.
Everyone's slipping and sliding.
Uh, well, I guess it depends where you are, but yeah, it's raining here.
It's raining a lot of places.
Um, yeah, I don't know.
There's a, oh, there's a duck.
That duck is swimming down the road.
There's some flooding.
There's also the Duckmobile.
There's like four ducks.
They got a Duckmobile.
They're driving around.
The horn clacks.
Yeah, I don't know.
They must have some good engineers,
but the horn clacks.
So they're all clacking,
and then the horns like quark,
and it's a big, like, fog horn clack.
Pretty crazy.
So watch out for them.
Thank you.
Thanks, Crenor.
I am watching.
Although, do you think it'd be like,
you know how in some cities
they have those duck tours?
Oh, yeah, that's right.
The ducks would drive a duck tour boat?
Because that would be cute.
That'd be cute.
that's kind of what I was picturing actually
I would like that
I went on one of those in Boston one time
when it was way too cold to have done that
at one point they take you
into like we're gonna go
into the harbor now and I'm like
cool no terrible choice
just not a good choice
it was so cold and the water
was so cold and I was like what did I do this
yeah no that does not sound good
but
ducks
yep ducks
all right
let's go to weather
woohoo weather
dime
let's see the weather
we got
and we've got
a greetings
from Germany
please do the weather
for Bonn
it's the birthplace
of Ludwig van Beethoven
and was the capital
of Western Germany
after the war
okay
all right
B-O-N-N
B-O-N-N
B-O-N-B-N-B-N
Bon
Germany. Oh, right near Cologne,
Cone, if you will.
Yes, I'm sure
that's how you say it.
Currently, the
Games Fest is, Gamescom, not GamesFest,
Gamescom. So many
festivals, so many cons,
so many Bonds.
Yep.
Games Bond.
Yeah, Games Bond, James Bond, James Bond.
James Bond.
Games Bond.
Currently in Bond,
it is 53 degrees Fahrenheit,
feels like 52 degrees Fahrenheit.
High of 68, low of 49, chance of rain.
3%.
We have 52.
Oh, wait, that's not the real one.
79 on the humidity.
79%.
4 mile an hour winds.
UV index 0.26 on the air quality.
Due point 46, pressure 30.43 inches, 10 miles of visibility.
7.16 a.m. sunrise. 732 p.m. sunset.
And we have ourselves a wax.
Gibis moon.
10 date.
68 tonight.
Monday,
68 parley cloudy.
Tuesday, 67 parley cloudy.
Wednesday, 71, parley cloudy.
Thursday, 66, parley cloudy.
Friday, 72, parley cloudy.
Saturday, 76, parley cloudy.
Sunday, 78, partly cloudy.
And you might guess it, 78 on Monday,
partly cloudy.
You know, I'll be honest.
Lovely city.
surprised I haven't been there before, even though I've been so close for Gamescom.
But interesting to see the eclectic tastes of food here.
Kind of impressed.
It is all over the place.
You've got Persian, Turkish, Mexican, normal German fair.
You've got sushi.
It's a very metropolitan city, it looks like.
There's a place called Gast House.
I'm Stifled.
Driesen gastronomy
Yeah, and that's just like an old
German bar and one of the reviews
Has a little like owl puppet guy
Looking around, I don't know, what's happening?
Germany man
Yep
There's Yang Go Fu
Molotang Chinese
And it's got like a giant wall of
Like buffet style shit you pick out
Hell yeah
I think they cook it or something
Or you just take it? I don't even know
or it might be like a hot pot thing
I'm not sure
yeah there are a lot of
Donner places
I guess it's very popular
but it's popular everywhere
but there's a lot of like
oh it's time for your meat
you know what I mean
yep
that's true
I mean yeah I think it's just one of those things
where you people drink
and then they're like
give me one of those doner kebabs
that's what they sound like over there obviously
right of course everyone know
yeah
but it's kind I think it's kind of like
the late night snack food type of thing for the most part.
You look at this place.
Does that open up when I link it?
Yo, what the hell?
This is a red ass bar.
Yeah, I don't know what this is, but it looks, it's got like, uh, sexual things all over the place.
Yep, it has panties hanging from the ceiling.
It has a mini sex shop.
That's a thing.
Um, yep.
It has a giant sign that says,
me, sexual
I guess it's a bar
that's playing up
the red light district aspect
but I feel like it's not a red light district
it's just the bars themed that way
Yeah, I think so
It's like it's just the other theme
When I was there, the
I walked by a bar that had like
There's this game series I love
called Rusty Lake
And they have these weird symbols
They always use, right?
And I'm sure they're symbols
that have been around for centuries
But Rusty Lake just uses them
and I walked past the bar that had those symbols in the window
and I almost was going to take a photo and send it to the Rusty Lake guys
and I was like, who cares?
I was like, no, I don't care that much.
It's, you know, it's clearly generic symbols,
but for some reason it had the exact same generic symbols as Rusty Lake
and I was like, that's pretty funny.
Maybe that's more of a common thing over there.
Oh, for sure.
I mean, that's where the devs are.
You know what I mean?
The devs are in Europe, so probably.
Yeah.
It's over here.
They had that there'd be people being like, oh, they'd be like, Satan.
Satan is here.
Yes.
My virgin eyes.
Yes.
Yeah.
Overall, pretty cool.
Fun.
All right.
Let's go to sports.
Sports.
We've got sports.
Sports.
Currently, we've got NFL week.
who happening.
And as of right now, we have the,
uh,
da, da, da, da, da.
Wait, where's the,
where's my scores? Hold on.
Where's?
Hold on. Hold on, please.
Okay, there we're going.
We're good, we're good.
Uh, the bills beat the lions on Thursday.
Bengals beat the Texans today.
Packers beat the jets in overtime.
Saints beat the Ravens.
Eagles beat the Titans.
Vikings beat the Bears,
but the Bears quarterback got hurt,
which was the bigger.
story.
Browns beat the
Buccaneers, the Patriots beat the
Steelers, the Panthers
beat the Falcons, and
currently, Raiders are
beating the Chargers, the Broncos are
beating the Jaguars, the Cowboys
are beating the commanders,
the 49ers are destroying the
Dolphins, and the Seahawks are
beating the Cardinals.
In baseball,
we got the
Tampa Bay Rays in first
with the Yankees and the Red Sox
also there, and they're all going to the
playoffs just in a it's unsure what order they'll go then we got the guardians in first in the central
and the rangers in first in the west uh then we got the braves the brewers and the dodgers all in first
in the national league they're all going to the playoffs and then the phillies cubs padres seem to be
the teams going to the wild card with the diamondbacks probably not making it but it's still
technically a possibility statistically but they will statistically yeah mathematically it's
possible. Yeah, mathematically,
it's possible, but it's not looking great for them.
However, we're only
like a week or so away, I think, from
actual playoff baseball.
So we're just about that time.
Playoffs.
And then we got the
NBA's preseason
starts, I think, in a
couple weeks here. Hockey
I believe is starting
today. The preseason
starts today for hockey.
New Jersey Devils beat the Islanders
2 to 1 and Anaheim beat San Jose
6 to 2 so hockey is officially back
now. Wowie.
We're hitting my favorite time of the year
where all four major sports are occurring
at the same time. I love it.
That's sports.
Oki dokey.
What is our fact of the day?
Fact of the day.
We have
this is a wild one.
A bolt of lightning.
can toast 100,000
slices of bread.
Each bolt of lightning is worth
5 billion jowls.
This means the average toaster
1,000 watts.
J-O-U-L-E-S.
It's got to be jowls.
J-O-U-L-E-S.
J-O-L-S?
It's not a Stargate, Deep Space,
whatever.
It's like that J-O-Ls are here.
No.
How do you see?
say it. Jules
pronunciation.
It's Jules.
Jewel, that's stupid.
But that's what it is.
That's what it is. Not Jowels.
I get that that's what it is. I like Jowls more.
Jowls are the things old guys have.
Like,
I'm not a crook.
Yeah, I know. I know the Jowls.
I like them in this world.
The power of lightning is judged by the power of Jowls.
The average toaster is 1,000 watts and can be powered for 84,000 minutes,
which results in 100,000 pieces of toasted bread.
Okay, so they just mathed it.
They didn't really do like, we shot lightning at a breadloaf to see what would happen.
Gotcha.
No, yeah, they just math it out.
Also, this one right above it, we just talk about red lights.
The average person will spend six months of their life waiting at a red light.
It normally takes 75 seconds for a red light to pass
and accounts for 20% of all driving time.
You know, if you walked, you wouldn't have to,
you wouldn't, it would be 60, what is it,
60, 6 months of, uh, standing at crosswalks,
which is probably better for you.
That's true, but depending on where you are,
it's pretty much impossible to walk in some areas.
That's true. That's true.
If you're in a city, like, sure you go.
Or, or, you go for a walk,
but you like bring brass knuckles.
You know what I mean?
You're going out to fight.
Well,
what about people living like the country
or like middle of Wisconsin
in the forest?
Bring your shotgun.
Yeah, but Walmart's 30 minutes away.
Yeah.
By driving.
Yeah, so you'll be really fit.
You know what?
All right, maybe you just need to get a number.
That's like, you're going to get your 10,000 steps in.
Let me tell you.
It's like, you're on going again.
Please don't do that.
Please don't.
Please don't.
I am joking.
Be safe.
So you guys, your facts of the day.
Okay.
Who has come to us with tears in their eyes?
We've got tears.
Dear Lustrious sir, is the tears of my eyes and crumbs of delicious pastry in my beard,
I beseeched thine wisdom.
After realizing there is no ESPN 7, the president of all sports TV,
John Madden, I assume, puts you in charge of deciding what goes.
there. What sport does your ESPN 7 air?
We already have the Ocho. I don't want to do Spanish.
What's a good, there's got to be like a good, hold on.
It's like a number seven.
Seven's supposed to be lucky, right?
Oh, Dutch is Zaven?
Yo.
Yeah, it's not Zaven, Zavin. That's the one for me.
ESPN Zaven.
Honestly, that's pretty sick.
But what would you put on it?
Irish, it looks like it's,
It's shacked.
ESPN shacked is pretty good too.
It just sounds like ESPN shat.
You know what?
That's fine.
Anyway,
ooh,
there's Latin is septum.
ESPN septum.
That's all for your nose.
Problem.
Ukrainian is sim.
I don't know.
What I would put there would be ESPN 7s where you put
e-sports, dude.
Oh, that's true.
That's a good.
For sure.
ESPN 7 is e-sports.
Yeah,
I like that.
And occasionally they throw in
like some BMX or something.
Yeah,
oh yeah,
yeah,
late night.
Yes,
during the day,
it's,
yeah,
it's all the guys
who are just like
playing video games.
But at night,
the extreme sport,
oh,
most extreme elimination
challenge plays on this
as well.
Oh, yeah.
That's,
we do Takashi's castle.
We do all of it.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah.
Perfect.
American gladiators,
we have that.
Basically, the channel we're making is what G4 became.
It actually is, yeah.
And that turned out well.
Yeah, we also play cops every now and again.
Yep, as a gamer station does.
Yeah, as a gamer station that is certainly not on its last leg does.
All right.
Next, dear illustrious sir, we've got...
Still going.
Dear illustriouser.
I've come.
God.
If you were both forced to take one personality trait away from each other and give it to yourself,
what would it be?
The other person will lose this part of themselves permanently, and it will now be part of you,
but they will be able to take something of yours in return.
What would I take from you?
I already know what I would.
Oh, well, I would take your metabolism.
You know what?
That makes sense.
I take that.
Yep.
Just the ability
to eat whatever you want.
Yeah.
I don't want all the other problems you have
that force you not to eat whatever you want.
But I will take your metabolism.
Yeah.
Yep.
I would take your lack of anxiety.
Oh, that's good.
That's good.
Although now the problem is
you will have no metabolism
but you won't care and you won't stress.
And I will have super metabolism
and I will always be stressing out.
Cool, great.
We've ruined each other.
We really would ruin each other.
That's,
you know,
maybe it's better
the way we are.
We're probably, yeah,
we're probably who we are for a reason.
Yep.
And there we go.
That's the dear lustrousers.
Hey.
Well,
it's that time
for a big news story of the day.
Big news story of the day.
Day.
day.
This one I actually saw
recommended to us on the Shibuzi Reddit
because it show up in my email.
It's show up in my email.
As someone posted this, they're like,
great Cox and Crenthor news story.
Which then I saw on your Reddit,
someone said, ever been reminded
you and your favorite podcast
are getting old by your Reddit comments?
And it was them being like,
Cox and Crenthor is my favorite from 11 years ago.
It doesn't necessarily make me think you're old,
but it definitely makes me,
feel old. Exactly.
But
that's not, we got this news story.
Right, right, right, right, right, right.
Sorry, time. We have no, we have
no use for you. Yeah, take
that time.
Zoo
advertises tickets for
Child Predator Tor.
No.
No, you know,
no. I know,
I know what this is going to be, but
this you got to have a
friend tell you when you're
screwing up.
Yep.
Bosses at Chester Zoo
quickly changed the 90-minute bus tour's name
after it was branded sinister by
visitors. A zoo spokeswoman
said the air was due to our default
naming convention in our system, but
quickly changed. The name blunder
earlier this week was part of the Cheshire
Zoo's ticket promotion
to allow visitors to go on a
tour showcasing its Sumatrin
Tigers Lions Rhin
and Komodo dragons.
The mistake was mocked by the zoo's customers and visitors online.
One remarked,
I hope this has been cleared by Cheshire Police seems a bit dangerous.
Another said, staggering.
How'd that get approved?
The private bus store cost 25 pounds for children.
Adult predator tickets were also advertised by mistake for 30 pounds.
The zoo's website discovers...
The child predator thing is like, wow.
But the adult predator tickets is hilarious.
Like that is no one solve that as a problem.
It's like, we got to name of something.
Just call them adult predators and sell them.
Like, okay.
Oh my God, an adult predator.
Well, at least it's not a child predator.
Yeah, this is not a child predator.
The zoo's website said,
Discover the Predators of the Animal Kingdom
and their prey in our brand new guided tour.
You'll be the first movie.
It would be even funnier if it was like,
Discover the Predators of the Animal Kingdom.
and it was just a picture of like a happy couple.
You know what I mean?
It's just like two humans.
It's like, Discover the predators.
The animal gets just like, ooh, what are they trying to say?
Just go on the ride.
And then right away, it's Chris Henson.
Like, where do you think you're going?
I just thought it was a zoo.
I thought we were going to see animals.
He's like, oh, I don't think so.
You're your text message here.
When you buy your tickets, you said you were excited to be at the child predator ride.
What did you mean by that?
What's going on?
I just want to leave.
You know, you can leave.
Your ticket here says you are an adult predator.
Why do you buy a ticket that says that?
And why are you carrying lubricant on?
Why do you have all those ropes?
Why did you bring so many ropes and binding tools to the museum?
To the zoo.
Not museum.
It would be weirder if you brought that to museum.
I just, you know, I felt like an adventure, you know, bringing my rope and my map.
You never know when mummies are going to come to life, so I felt like I should bind them.
And the lube, you know, I always have a lube on hay and.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, I get really stiff and dry.
So I got to, you know.
Got a loom up.
Got to loop up.
That's going to be a quote from like two years from now.
Be like, when did you say got to lube up?
The problem is you can't say which one of us was because we both literally just said you got to loo up.
That's true.
That might be a first bother.
That could be a first boather.
You gotta loom up.
That's a boather.
You'll be the first visitors in the zoo as you board our electric tour bus and enjoy 90 minutes of the zoo all to yourself, it said.
Come face to face with some of the zoo's most iconic animals away from the crowds, including our family of Sumatran tigers.
And your expert tour guides will be on hand to share fascinating facts about some of nature's most effective hunters.
So, there we go.
They goofed it.
And now people made fun of them.
And then they changed it.
So that's honestly, that's a, that's a funny fail.
You know, nobody, nobody got hurt.
Just a bad, bad phrasing and marketing.
Just terrible phrasing.
Just truly awful marketing.
But if anything, that goes to show that probably the people at that zoo are little
wholesome babies who just love their animals so much.
Because if that didn't cross their mind once, you know they're existing in like a perfect little bubble of,
of like, do you see the new otter kids today?
They're so cute.
You know that's where they're at, right?
They're in a perfect little happy animal kingdom world.
And they didn't think because they've never had to.
They had to be like, is this weird?
Is this creepy?
I wish that were me.
Oh, big same.
But that's our big news story of the day.
Okay.
That's it for us.
Thanks so much listening.
