I'm on this journey with me.
Each week when you join me, we are going to chase down our goals.
We'll overcome adversity and set you up for a better tomorrow.
I'm ready for my close-up.
Hi, and welcome back.
I'm so excited.
You're back here with me this week.
Okay, so it has been a crazy week in my world.
I've been back and forth to New York.
I don't even know how many times.
And it was not all seamless.
I'm just going to start off there.
It was kind of a nightmare.
The first flight I had out was like the crack of dawn.
I think I was up at three.
It was awful.
I don't know if you're like this, but when I have a super early flight, I can't sleep all night.
So I looked horrible.
I ended up buying a baseball hat.
That's how bad I looked.
I was just like a train wreck and I had to speak at an event.
And my eyes were swollen.
It was just was a disaster.
But anyways, I let go of it.
I'm like, all right, I got to let go of this negativity.
Find a way to make this work.
reconnect with my why, like, why am I doing this? And if I can make a difference in one person's
life, you know, it's all worth it. That's what I always say to myself anyhow. And turns out I did.
And I'm so proud. I know this guy's going to be listening to, which makes me so happy. But
I had this amazing trip and definitely had the chance to impact not one person's life, but a few.
And thank you, by the way, for the nice notes that people send me. And this is just a reminder.
When somebody impacts your life in a positive way, let them know.
Take the two minutes to send a nice note because it might make that difference in that person's life that day, right?
And I don't know, just it's so good to put good out there.
So please take a minute, press pause on the show and go send a nice note to someone that deserves it,
someone that supported you or encourages you.
I'm so blessed and lucky to have so many people that encouraged me.
Now, I just reminded myself, I have to go send a nice note to a few people after I'm off the air.
Okay. So back to this week. So this young man who had sent me a video note, which is so thoughtful, if you really want to be thoughtful, that's like super thoughtful. He sent me this video note before I went to New York and basically just said, you know, that what I do and my content, the impact it has on his life and how much it means to him. And it literally made me cry. I made my son watch it. I'm like, look how amazing this young man is. You know, he's not much older than you. I'm saying,
my son, I was crying. I was like, this is incredible. Look at the impact you can have on someone's
life. Anyhow, my son's like, mom, you're crazy. Get over it. But so I meet this young man at the
event, and I was so excited to meet him. And we took a picture together. And anyway, when I'm
leaving that event, because then I had to jump on a flight right away after that event to come back
home. And when I'm leaving, the young man says, oh, you're not coming to dinner. And, you know,
there were a bunch of other things at this event that they were doing. And I couldn't because I had to
leave. And he says, I'm so bummed. I didn't get to spend more time with you. And I'm like,
oh, yeah, well, I'll be back. I'll be back at a day and a half because I was coming back to the city
for some meetings and to do a show, the sit and friends show on ABC. And so he says, well, why don't
I just stay? Apparently, he didn't live in New York. I didn't know. He says, why don't I just
stay and I will, you know, meet you and go on the, you know, watch you do the show. And I'm like,
oh my gosh, that's the sweetest thing I ever heard. Okay, if you want to.
sure, which is a little crazy, right? I don't even know this kid, but there was just something about
him that he has this great energy and, I don't know, he just tugs at my heart. So I said, yeah,
sure, no problem. Come meet me and you can come watch the show. So I fly home. I'm home for a day.
I fly back to New York and anyhow, I had some meetings, whatever, and then it's the next morning
and I'm going to do the show. And the young man's there at ABC Studios when I get there in the morning.
So I'm like, this is kind of bizarre because now this is a,
kind of stuff I do in my life. I commit to things and I'm like, oh, geez, I really didn't think that
through. Hopefully he's not a killer. Like, hopefully he's not a stalker. He wasn't. He's so sweet.
And he sat and was writing down the things that I would say that would impact him. So he had this
whole thing. I ended up spending a day with him. And at the end of the day, had this whole thing
of, you know, important notes that he had taken throughout the day. I have to read him to you.
They're so cute. So anyhow, to make a long story longer, it really, it impacts. It impacts.
me in such a positive way. But I know that I impacted him because not because of the list,
but because of this. So we go, we all go, I'm also with my friend who does my makeup and
like assists me and helps me and supports me in every way Cynthia was with us too. So we're all
at the airport together and we're in the American Express Centurion Club, which I'm obsessed
with. Amex is not a sponsor of this show, but they should be because I'm obsessed with my Amex.
So anyhow, we're sitting in LGA in the Centurion Club, which I'm literally in every other day these days.
And I love it there.
The people are so nice.
Like, they're all my people.
And we're having this great time talking.
And he asks me, he says, something to the effect of Heather, like, what is, like, if you have to point to one thing in your life, like, what's the difference maker?
Like, you know, what's the real reason why you succeed or, like, what's your secret?
I don't remember exactly.
Or, like, what's the key?
I don't remember exactly how he phrased it, but I remember how I felt when he asked a question
and immediately I knew what the answer was. It's my faith. My faith is really what's changed.
Listen, I've always been a hard worker. I've always been someone that will seek a solution no matter what. I'm always someone who's going to ask for what she wants. I'm always someone that's going to go bigger.
That's who I am. But things have changed in such a dramatic way in my life.
since my faith was strengthened. And I've been talking about it on the show on and off for a little over a year now.
And it's just incredible. I know I'm so clear on it. And so many incredible things have happened in my life.
It's unbelievable. Actually, it is believable because it's my faith. And, you know, however you want to see it, it's a higher power, it's the universe. I see it. It's God in my life.
And so my faith is so strong that it's undeniable.
And I've just, I'm so grateful for my faith.
I'm so grateful that God's given me this gift.
And it did not happen overnight, right?
It's definitely been a process in my life, but I'm here now.
And I'm just so grateful and it's so clear to me.
So anyhow, so the young man's asking me, like, what is your one key or whatever?
And I say, it's my faith.
And I look at him and I said, what's your relationship with God?
like. And so, you know, then he discloses that it hasn't been, you know, the greatest right now. And I've had times in my life like that too. I remember when I got divorced, I kind of was like, I'm done with church. I'm done with it all. You know, and I'm not judging anybody, but when I saw that that was missing from his life, I knew that's what he needed. It was crazy. It was like one of these moments. It was so clear to me, he needs faith. And so he can take all the notes in the world and like learn all the business tips.
and I can give him all my strategies on how to get ahead.
But until he unlocks his faith, it's just going to be more challenging than it should be.
He ends up going home, and his mother's been giving him a hard time about going to church,
and now he's going to go to church with her.
And I truly believe he's starting down a path now to strengthen his faith.
And I'm so grateful, gosh, I was bawling my eyes out.
I was so happy, like overjoyed.
Like my cup runneth over.
it was just an amazing moment for me.
And so for anyone listening right now that you're questioning your faith or your faith isn't that strong, that's okay.
You're not alone, right?
I was totally there.
It's been a work in progress, but you can strengthen your faith.
And when you do, miracles are going to start happening your life.
Ask God to give you signs and you will see.
If you seek, you will find, right?
It's really true.
And I'm just living proof.
And so I can't even put it into words better.
than this. I mean, I will put it into words better than this because I'm literally writing a book about this.
Maybe that's how it came up. Maybe he was asking me what my next book is about. But that's what my next book is
going to be the secret art of skipping the line. And it's really a book about the journey to faith with
business examples. Okay, that's my concept right now. You've got to let me know what you think about that.
I can't wait here. Send me a DM. Go to my website. Go to social media. Send me a DM. Let me know what you think.

To that end, I was sitting here thinking, gosh, I really need to start writing this book.
I need to get this down.
And I realized I already had started.
So I'm going to read you something that I wrote for the new book.
I want to hear your feedback.
I want to know what you think.
But here's something that I had worked on a few months ago.
It's coming at you right now.
Okay.
For years, I traveled the country every week working with my radio stations.
As soon as I would land in the city, I would tune into the frequency.
that we owned in that city, and I would listen to the radio station. When I was in Philly,
tuning into 96.5 would get me to our station wired for today's best hip-hop. Oh my gosh, I love
hip-hop, by the way. Then I would fly home to Miami and tune into 96.5 to listen to Power,
96, a much more Latin vibe, but still, including hip-hop artists. For years, I was so focused
on the frequency of the radio stations I was leading, I never stopped to tune into the most
important frequency, my own. After getting fired, I suddenly didn't have any radio stations that I
needed to tune into anymore. So I started tuning into myself. Here's what I found. The most important
frequency in messaging you will find is your own, paying attention to how your frequency changes and
why is life-changing. The factors are so similar to what I used to do when I traveled the country.
Location and environment change the frequency. That's fact. Activity or lack thereof, change. Change
the frequency. The people you pull in around you or don't impact your frequency. What you say or
don't say impacts the frequency and the message received. How you spend your time changes your frequency.
Let me give you some examples. Picture this. You land in a new city knowing you are going to see
your team and you love them and so you're excited in anticipating a fantastic trip. You check into
your favorite hotel and feel at home ready for a good night's sleep. The next morning you head out early
to meet your team at the office. They are just as excited to see you and kick off a successful meeting.
The frequency is so high and vibrations are off the chart. Ideas are flowing and you can sense
something really big is happening. This is high vibration and equally high frequency. When you
are running on this level, great ideas come to you. Opportunities present themselves and you are
at your best. Conversely, on another day, you are heading over to the corporate office. You have so many
memories of being triggered over there by a woman that doesn't like you. This is a true story.
The drive over becomes painful, reliving so many negative memories and emotions. By the time
you get to the office, you're dreading the day ahead. Your frequency is low. You barely recognize
yourself. You give yourself a pep talk and try to pretend that you're in a good mood and excited
to be there. Putting a false front on only lowers your vibration and frequency even more.
Let the games begin. You are immediately ignored, and when you
turn to your friend to roll your eyes, your friend messages you how painful the day ahead will be.
Things unfold exactly as you knew they would. The day is uncomfortable, unproductive,
full of triggers, sarcastic remarks, and void of creativity or problem solving, as there were
low vibrations and a clear lack of trust all the way around. This is low frequency. When you
are stuck on this level, you feel stagnant, isolated, fearful, triggered, and drained. If you're
depression or ADHD or more than a rough patch, you don't need just another meditation app.
Takayatry makes it easy to see a psychiatrist online using your insurance in days.
Takayatry is 100% online psychiatry practice that provides comprehensive evaluations,
diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for conditions like ADHD, anxiety,
depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, insomnia, and more.

You'll meet with an experienced licensed psychiatrist who takes the time to understand what's going on, build a personalized treatment plan, and can prescribe medication when it's right for you.
your care stays consistent and evidence-based.

with an in-network psychiatrist in just a few minutes.
That's talk-giatry.com slash confidence to get matched in minutes.
This is going to be a chapter in the new book.
And one of the things that is different in my life over the last couple of years is my commitment
to my energy, protecting my energy, elevating my energy, removing blocks as well as the frequency
that I'm on, right? Like, I really, I really believe that this is something that if you're
intentional about, self-aware about, it can impact your life greatly. It's impacted mine greatly.
So this is just another way. And the guy, the young man, like, impacted my frequency in a
positive level, right? Like, looking at the people you're surrounding yourself, what, looking how
you're spending your time. Being honest with yourself, having honest conversations, when you get the
urge to say something, actually falling through and doing it, it's going to elevate your frequency.
All of these things are ways to elevate your frequency, and that's a very positive thing.
Having a lower frequency is not going to bring the opportunities into your life that you want.
But listen, here's a thing. No one's going to be on a high frequency all of the time.
Right. We're going to have negative things that are going to occur. They happen to everybody's life.
but it's how we respond to them, which is the real key. And so I want to challenge you today to be
aware of the frequency that you're on currently, know that you have the power to change it.
Like for me doing this podcast right now raises my frequency because I love hanging with you.
I love my show, right? I'm so proud of it. So it makes me excited and it puts me in a good mood.
Now, listen, there's plenty of negative things happening in my email right now. I saw some things
I didn't want to deal with this morning. But I said, you know what? I'm just going to put a pin in that.
I'll get back to it. I'll deal with it later on today. But I wanted to raise my vibration first,
right? Like I wanted to go and work out, which makes me feel great. Go for a walk outside, which
makes me feel amazing. And then come to my podcast, which puts me on an even higher vibration.
You have the power to do all those things in your life. And I know what you're thinking. No,
I don't, Heather. You know, my life isn't like yours. Don't forget. I had that 3 a.m. flight or
whatever I was on the other day. And my life isn't always great either. I have to do things I don't like to do.
However, my faith is really the cornerstone of my confidence, and I just have this really strong belief that everything's going to work out.
And I ask God every single day, please close the doors that are no longer meant for me.
Please open the ones that are, and please show me the way there.
I surrender to you.
I turn my life over to you, God.
Show me the way.
And then I thank God for all the miracles in my life.
Everything I'm grateful for, my health, my son, my wonderful friends, my beautiful home, this amazing city that I live in, all of these,
opportunities that come to me, all of the good in my life and so much more. And, you know,
I thank God or everything I'm grateful for every single day. And I encourage you to do the same.
And if you don't have a relationship with God, then thank the universe. Think that higher power
out there because I think we all know that there is a higher power. But I don't want you to
feel like just because this is how I'm handling my life and, you know, how I show up doesn't
mean you have to show up that same way. I want you to do what works for you. You'll know,
Like you'll feel your frequency will be higher when you're aligning in the right way for whatever that looks like for you today.
And by the way, that can change over time as well.
So, you know, be mindful, be intentional, elevate your frequency.
Know that, yes, there's challenges that will come.
And those challenges will find solutions to overcome those challenges and will be stronger as a result, right?
Like we'll become more resilient, which is a beautiful gift.
We'll become savvier. We'll find better ways to overcome the challenges, navigate the challenges. And then we'll start anticipating and expecting these beautiful miracles to be all around us. So, okay, I want to read to you what this young man wrote down. Okay, here we go. These are the things that he took away while we did the show that he felt were important. I hope that you'll find that they are helpful to you. Okay. Show up and deliver. Yes.
Be you, be bold. That's me. Be adaptable. Yes, you have to always be ready for change and constantly
evolving yourself. A strong why, a purpose, and great relationships. A strong why in purpose is really
important in life. If you haven't found yours yet, start asking yourself, what is that why? It all
starts with asking good questions. Okay, keep you going, oh, those things keep you going through tough times, true.
Data doesn't lie. That's a fact. Anytime you're confused about something, look at the data, the data will
shoot you straight. Don't take noes from someone who can't give you a yes. Oh my gosh. That's one of my
favorite stories when years ago I was taking a no from someone who couldn't give me a yes when I was
pitching for a position that I wanted this company to create. And I ended up getting the yes,
but only when the individual who I was asking called his father, who was the CEO. Never take a no
from someone who can't give you a yes. That's just a door that's closed. It shouldn't be closed.
Leaders communicate with transparency. Okay, this is funny. I was on the Sid Rosenberg show.
We were talking, actually it was about Biden and the lack of communication, and that's just
leadership 101.
You've got to communicate clearly with people.
Let people know what you're thinking.
Don't be a mystery.
Knowledge isn't power.
Application is power.
Oh, I love that.
Yes, you need to access knowledge first, but then you need to apply it if you want to transform.
So information, application, transformation.
I love that.
Wait, I'm saying that I love this to the notes that this boy took about me.
This is hilarious.
Okay.
resilience is the X factor. Oh my gosh, I was just telling you about resilience. Resilience is so important.
And that's why we need to welcome challenges and problems that come along. Resilience is the
X factor. And to strengthen your resilience, got to face some challenges and overcome them.
And you will. Tough times, create resilience. I'm so excited reading this. I just want to jump up
and down. Sir, I need to get a life, clearly. Embrace the challenge, lean into adversity.
Heck yeah. Adversity is your advantage. Oh my gosh, I love this.
But in the extra effort with your relationships, it's so true. The grass will grow where you water it.
People ask me all the time why I have so many friends for my entire life and I have a crew of best friends that's massive.
We fly all around the country seeing each other and we spend time together and we make plans together and we talk on the phone and we text and we make each other feel important and we send nice notes.
You know, even my guy friends do that. You know, it's just the grass will grow where you water it.
So important. Okay. Roll the dice. I am all about rolling the dice. I love that. People connect with your
story. Relatable connects. Yes. Oh my gosh. So true. Storytelling is a superpower. Use it to market yourself
on your personal brand and your business. Absolutely. You can't be overdressed, but you can be underdressed.
Oh my gosh. We had this amazing guy on the show, a fashion designer, and he was incredible. So I know that's what he's noting here.
Okay, dress your worth and feel the confidence. Fashion is a message. That's really powerful. And when you think about that, how you dress today, you're sending a message not only to yourself, but to everybody that meets you, that sees you walking down the street. Make it a good one. Okay, don't worry about the little things. It's so true. If it's not going to matter five years from now, don't let it matter in five minutes. Let it go. Don't waste your time worrying about the little things. It's so, so true. Prioritize what matters most.
relationships. Done is better than perfect. You know I live by this. Fear is a green light that means
go and go faster. Take bold, messy action. Heck yeah. And don't be afraid. Fear is a liar. It's not
real. Sleep when you're dead. Oh my gosh. This is hilarious. Dream until it's your reality. This is so
crazy. I saw this message after I walked out of the show in New York. And I've been wanting to
get my own show for so long. First of all, I wanted my own TV show, P.S. So we haven't gotten it yet.
But when I walked out of ABC, that was the note I saw written on the concrete right in front of me.
Dream until it's your reality.
And I think you should dream until it's your reality because if you expect it, it's going to happen.
Don't give up.
The world needs your light.
Stay in the present.
Shine your light.
So that's a message to you today.
Stay in the present.
Shine your light.
The world needs to be a brighter place.
And you can make that happen.
I hope you like the show today.
