every book on every shelf and every rack in every category and simultaneously 80% of books and
Barnes and Noble sell less than a thousand copies. And out of the 20% that sell more than a thousand, 80% of them don't sell over 5,000 copies.
And the way I look at it is so many people put all their heart, their energy, their effort into this book.
And they thought, if I write it, they will come. And they won't.
I don't care how good your coaching is, your courses, your widget is, and whatever it is your courses, your widget is or whatever it is you sell without selling
nothing works. Selling is the oxygen of every successful person, every successful company in the world.
I'm on this journey with me.
Each week when you join me, we are going to chase down our goals.
We've come at diversity and set you up for a better tomorrow.
That's our new state of view.
I'm ready for my close-up.
Hi and welcome back. I am so, wait close-up. Hi, and welcome back.
I am so, wait, first of all, it's so rare.
I have somebody on the show twice,
but our guest today has been on our show before,
and I'm so excited to have him back.
Dean Graziosi is a multiple,
multiple New York Times bestselling author.
Hello, I'd like to get one of those under my belt.
He's an entrepreneur and investor,
and he's also a popular speaker.
He's a business consultant speaking in front of audiences of more than two hundred thousand people
at conferences and live events and millions in his virtual events. Dean's method have taught people
proven, tested. The guy is the best in sales and marketing that there is in the industry.
And now he's coaching millions of people through his partnership with
Tony Robbins. He has been instrumental in my growth in in 2020 when the world went to bleak times.
The courses that he had out to market and gave me access to completely change my business.
He's an incredible human being Dean. I'm so glad you're here today.
Wow. That was a great show. Good to be here. Good to see you, Heather.
Well, when you do good stuff in the world, people can speak to it firsthand. It's just,
it's important for people to know. And here's, this is really bizarre. It happened this morning.
Because of the podcast, I've been given the opportunity to meet incredible humans like yourself
that have been achieved massive, you know, not only financial success, but philanthropy giving back.
And I was on a call this morning with a really close friend of mine
and we were talking about someone I had had on the show.
And he said, well, you know, that guy's just not a really good guy,
either.
And I was so bummed out to hear it, right?
And you know that, listen, there's talk about everyone
and anyone out there, but there's people you trust.
And I just want people listening to the show
to know how solid and good and true real human being you are.
Because to me, I think that's so important.
And I don't know that sometimes that doesn't get lost
in the major financial success that you've had.
Well, thank you for sharing that.
You know, we try.
We all grow.
We're all guilty of not always doing it right
and doing it perfect.
I've been through a divorce in my life. So obviously I didn't do that part too well. But we can lean into our old mistakes and
repeat them. You know, I watch Tony say something once he's like so many times people go through
a relationship. And when it doesn't work, you realize what you did wrong, you realize what the
other person did wrong. Then you forget it and you go into the next relationship and you bring
the same version of you into that next relationship
and you wonder why you had the same result.
And that hit me so hard that when I went through a divorce
and nobody wants to put their kids through that
or put yourself through that,
not that we're talking about divorce today,
but I made a decision that like, it was probably me.
Like there's this thing that when my business
doesn't go well, when that didn't go right,
it's so easy to blame.
And the harder thing is just to look in the mirror
and say I take full responsibility.
How do I get better?
And I remember wanting a better relationship
and wanting to be a better father,
wanting to be a better man.
I'm like, well, then if I want all that stuff,
I got to step up my game and I got coaches
and interviewed people.
And so I think that's business life, right?
What you do so amazing, Heather,
and I'm glad to be on your show another time
and get to know you even more. And I look forward to doing more stuff with you is you get to help people see
patterns of what works, right? Isn't that the business we're in? Like I've gone through the woods,
I got lost, I screwed up, I fell off a cliff, I got bit by a snake, but I've gone through the woods
enough to know this is a faster path. The reason it sparked this and I'll be quiet here, you said,
good man, I love being in love with my wife.
And I truly have an amazing relationship with her.
But I didn't always have that.
I had to learn that and then practice it every day.
I know that when my kids were little, I have four now,
but my younger kids when I was little, I kept thinking
there'd be enough time to connect in.
There was one day and I said, no, no, I'm running out of time.
And I put them first and I know I'm a good dad now,
but I know wasn't the best at their start. I know the same things
in business. And when we do Tony and I do big events, we know what we did that didn't
serve and how to serve. It's all about discovering patterns, learning from people who have already
been there. And then just rolling up your sleeves and doing the damn work.
Oh my gosh, whoever has your ear has your future. I heard that at church yesterday.
We had a guest pastor and I'll tell you,
it's so true, the people that you choose to listen to
really are guiding your future.
And you need to be so careful because so many of us
want to listen to our parents, our family
because you believe that they have your best interest.
But the reality is never take direction.
For everyone listening, never take direction
from someone who hasn't been where you wanna go.
And that's where it's so incredible
and what you guys have created
and giving and sharing this roadmap for success with people.
How did this partnership come to be
and how long have you guys been working together
to help people?
So Tony and I met about 11 years ago.
You know, here's the cool part.
The crazy part is 27 years ago, I bought Tony's course.
Just that's a real.
So I bought his course and it was so powerful and so rewarding
that I remember writing in my journal
so they wanted to meet him just so I could thank him.
So I could say, hey, man, thanks for putting this together.
Thanks for going through all the struggles you had,
deciding what worked and what didn't, and then documenting it. putting this together. Thanks for, you know, going through all the struggles you had, deciding
what worked and what didn't, and then documenting it, right? So I got the chance to thank him
about 11 years ago. We set up a meeting for a half hour, and we ended up spending eight hours together.
You know, when you just meet someone and we just clicked, we had similar backgrounds.
His mom was exactly like my dad, and we just laughed about it, and he had been through divorce,
and we talked, and we just, everything just just we were living parallel lives in so many ways and we spent
eight hours together with good friends ever since.
So I don't want to bore you with that story, but it was, if you would have asked me 12
years ago, Heather, you can meet anybody in the world you want.
It would have been Tony to say thank you, because when I got his course 27 years ago, I was
in a really transitional point in my life like, hey, you have dyslexia, you didn't go past high school,
you don't come from money, you don't have a college degree,
your parents been married in divorce nine times,
you know, you're lucky to make a hundred grand a year.
And then at the same time, I was a person like,
screw that, I meant for more, I could be more,
I could do more, I want to change the world,
I want to be bigger, I want to leave this little town,
I mean, so I was in that, you know, millimeter
of like, I was looking at the fork in the road. I was starting to have success in my collision
shop and things like that. And I got that course. And I was like, I'm making a right.
There's not even any, I'm meant for more. I'm freaking going for it. And long story short,
he was the guy I wanted to meet. We met, we'd become friends, we talk almost every day. And about six years ago, we said,
hey, if we did something together, what will we do?
And it's like, what was the thing that saved our lives?
He learned from Jim Rohn, who was his mentor.
He felt like Jim Rohn saved his life.
I felt like Tony Robbins saved my life.
And I feel blessed that I have thousands and tens
and hundreds of thousands of people feel
that I gave him that little spark.
And the people we help, you know, it's compounding, it grows exponentially. I feel blessed that I have thousands and tens and hundreds of thousands of people feel that I gave that little spark.
And the people we help, you know, it's compounding, it grows exponentially.
And you said, if we're going to start a business, why don't we teach people to do what we did,
you know, share what you know, become a coach, become a course creator, start a podcast,
write an ebook because all of us have priceless life experience that someone else needs right
now.
And the business is growing geometrically, exponentially, right?
It's heading, it's at a billion dollar a day industry.
We can meet like you and I, you're in Florida, I'm in New York right now.
We jump on a Zoom in two minutes.
So the world's gotten smaller to growing business.
We've been doing it for 70 years and we said, well,
we're going to do something together.
Let's do that.
And we've been having the time of our lives.
It's become a move.
I know you were a part of it years ago.
We get that we, this year we created a whole new five day event
for free.
We got Jay Shetty and pace Morby and Trent Shelton
and Shaleen Johnson.
We got all these cool people involved.
And we get to do this cool stuff that really impacts lives
and we get to do it as brothers.
And I'm just, I'm having a hell of a time.
So I know that people listening right now,
there's plenty of people listening that are thinking,
oh, that's great, you know, for you Dean,
that that worked out for you.
However, I'm stuck in this night to five job.
I have kids, I have them worked,
and I so feel them, and I know you feel them too,
when you think all that you have is what is in front of you,
and that's all you're capable of,
have you speak to that person to let them know
that there actually
could be an alternate opportunity out there for them if they're willing to look at this differently?
I know firsthand when someone doesn't feel I know enough, I am enough, I can do this,
and even if I could, how am I going to juggle all those responsibilities? And what if that was actually the fuel to make you do it? Because
if you don't do something different, the only thing that will compound and whether you know this
personally, the only thing that will compound is less time, less confidence, less courage,
less the ability to lean into who you're supposed to be, not who you're settling to be. And the
reason Tony and I love this so much, yes, he's been working on mindset for 47 years. He knows how to climb inside your mind. The reason our partnership is so good.
He can climb inside your mind and rewire it to go, you are enough, you have enough, you can do this.
Screw that old frickin belief that has cost you too much. Let's bury that thing and give you this
new empowering belief that the woman you are and the woman you're meant to be. And then I come
behind and say, well, here's the cool thing on how you can market yourself.
How you can package yourself, how you can do this from home,
how you can lean into the woman you are meant to be,
designed to be, and how your most valuable asset
is actually your life experience.
Here's the package to serve it, to sell it,
and to profit from it.
So if you wonder, I know I digress a little bit there,
but why this partnership
has been so amazing, because Tony kind of climbs in and adjust the knobs and you go, well,
shit, I can do this. And I get to come in and go, here's how.
So many people have this thought. I held the same thought too, which is, okay, I found a
little bit of success over here in corporate or in this job or like, I have this stability.
Why am I going to risk all this to go go see if do I really have something number one to teach?
I remember I struggled with this
because I just didn't have experience.
Yeah, I had let a team of thousands of people
in corporate America, but that looked one way to me.
I didn't know, wait, I don't know
that I can go do that on my own and create my own.
Maybe you start thinking,
maybe I'm just successful because of the industry.
I'm in the company, I'm with the title that I that I hold to take that leap and say no
there actually is intrinsic value within me and I can't teach these people this that is
a leap for a lot of people how do you get people to jump?
Listen, if you're happy with where you are you don't I get to know a little bit of your
story you're doing financially well I know you had someone that didn't want you in that spot and there was a shift. But let me
just ask you, what if you just ate shit? Excuse my language. I didn't know the better terminology.
What if you just ate shit for 20 years and you were able to make the money, but you didn't live
into you. You kept quiet. You kept your head down. You didn't at lunch. You didn't want to walk
by certain offices because you're uncomfortable. But you could have
been safe and secure and you were making good money. Let me just ask you honest truth.
At the end of your life, you're 95 years old. You're getting towards the end and you look
back and say, you know, I played it safe and it worked. I believe you would beg God,
your maker to go back and redo it more than any other wish.
Right or what would you choose would you choose that safety like we made good money but you had your head down you work and control your time work and control your future you didn't feel like you are at a purpose you didn't have passion you didn't jump out of bed in the morning just did the thing.
Or on the other side you could choose hey I went after my own stuff.
or on the other side you could choose, hey, I went after my own stuff.
There's a little rocket first.
I failed.
I was a little shy.
I was embarrassed to tell my friends I was doing this.
I had self doubt, felt like an imposter,
but I got momentum in my life.
I mean, is there any comparison?
Even if one wasn't financially successful as the other,
wouldn't you choose the other?

And you'll be hearing this before you know it.
Gosh, for everyone listening to us right now,
if you're kind of just getting by,
yeah, you might be making decent money,
maybe you're not, but you're just, you know,
punching the clock essentially.
There is so much more out there.
And you just teed it up perfectly, Dean.
I remember I was in my early 20s.
I took an equity partnership, which I felt I was in my er equity partnership, w
my job was to accelerate re
massively. We sold it for
within three years. When I
piece of that company, I
ran the company, by the way, and my partner made millions and millions of dollars. I walked away discouraged in many regards, and I didn't feel so great
about myself, right? And I remember, I went home, I didn't need to work with him anymore,
and I said, I'm going to move on and do something different, but I just didn't feel so proud
of me the way I thought it would. Yeah, I got a big paycheck, and that was great, but I wasn't
fulfilled. I just, I remember saying, okay, I'm gonna go to a publicly traded company now.
And then I went and did really well there.
And the whole time the last few years of that company,
I remember starting to say,
I'm feeling that same way I felt before.
I built up so much revenue, we get all the awards,
but I don't feel proud of who I am,
cut to I get fired.
I meet you, I launch my courses, I launch my master, my
workshops, my classes, the messages I have received and just a limited last couple of
years, right? So it's been three years for me that I've been doing this. The messages I
received telling me I've literally changed people's lives that I've gotten to know. I
cry my eyes out, brings me to tears. I never ever have a day.
Never since I left corporate where I wake up
and don't feel like I'm not being led
to make the world a better place to shine my light
to show up as that best version of me.
And I feel so proud every day.
Yes, isn't it scary sometimes it is?
But you know what, the fear is worth it
because I will never be that 95 year old woman
on her deathbed regretting my life choices on be so proud that I showed up and went for it.
You know, and it makes me feel amazing even if I was a tiny little spark along that journey, right? So it's it's what listen, I'm at a phase of my life where I don't need to work. I want to work harder than I've ever worked. Tony doesn't need to work anymore. We want to work harder because of this momentum of impacting others. So I really want to stick with this line,
this line of thinking, this train of thinking, but think about this. You say, you're in it three years,
you're doing amazing, you're impacting people, you're living a new life, all that great stuff,
right? A life filled a more purpose, I should say, a new life filled with purpose. But three years ago, four years ago, some, let's just go back five years ago.
And I just ran into you at a Starbucks and I was standing in line.
We ordered the same coffee we started talking.
And if out of the blue, I just said to you, you know, you'd make an amazing coach.
You should share your knowledge and get paid to do it.
You probably been like, this guy's a freaking creep. Stop hitting on me or whatever.
Get out of my way.
I'd be like, what are you talking about?
I have a lot of experts in that. I don't know what that is.
I'm not an expert. What would I coach?
And that's what everybody feels.
Listen to what everybody feels.
And I want you to know this the biggest misconception on the planet.
Everybody thinks, I don't know what I'd teach.
Who would pay me?
No one knows my name.
I don't have a huge following.
Congratulations for our most success,
the foundation for our most successful students.
Like that's how all of them start.
None of them, like, and the misconception is,
you think you got to go build the following first.
You don't.
You think you don't have value.
You do.
You have more value.
Look what you get to coach on every day.
You realize there is a life experience
that you're a chapter ahead, a month ahead,
a year ahead, or a decade ahead of somebody else. Two more things I want to share. And I
know I'm kind of all over the place. It's been a long day. If I had a little ADD apologies.
But think about this. If I said to you right now, you're listening or watching, you had
a week to prepare. And then you could go back and coach your 20 year old self for a day.
What would that be worth to you?
Right.
Right.
And think about it.
And you could pick any topic.
You could pick relationships like, hey, you are worth more.
You should, you need to realize the value.
You need to realize what real love is or maybe what your parents had wasn't real love.
Don't model that or or model your parents.
You thought that they were crazy.
Maybe it's on your health and you go,
Hey, I'm gonna go back and coach myself how to take care of myself
because I'm 67 years old and I'm not so healthy.
Jack asks like, take care of yourself, eat better, work out,
pay attention, meditate, whatever it is,
or maybe it's about business.
Like just because you have the degree,
doesn't mean you should be locked into following something
that doesn't serve you, doesn't serve your heart,
doesn't serve your bigger future.
What would it be worth to go coaching?
Could you coach yourself?
The answer is absolutely end-priced.
I've done this in front of hundreds of thousands of people.
It's either million, 10 million or prices.
That's the thread that comes in.
You have a life experience that's that valuable.
Somebody else right now, potentially,
tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people. You just need to know how to unlock it and share it. And it's
why this industry isn't for Tony Robbins and Dean Grazio, see others. It's for anyone willing to
unlock their life experience and share it. And that's what we get to do. I mean Tony and I
are going to be here forever Heather and it's going to be you and people like that that take this
message and just keep empowering this share
what you know economy.
One of the things that I'm grateful that this whole experience opened my eyes to and I
think that this is going to relate to a lot of the listeners is this understanding that
you don't have to get fired to go do this.
You can be in a job that is paying your bills.
You can access this information
from the five day three training first and foremost.
You don't have to go risk everything right now
and that's the beautiful thing.
You can actually start investing in yourself,
building in yourself now
and this can be a longer play.
It doesn't have to go the way that I did it.
I don't recommend it that way.
Actually, like start picking your head up today
instead and saying, how can I start investing me?
But how often have you seen that happen where somebody actually slowly gets into this before
they make the week?
It's mostly everybody.
What I tell everybody is don't don't leap.
I mean, we do have people that'll spend five days with Tony and I and we're talking about
a challenge we're doing on August 1st, some mark your calendar.
It's called the own your future challenge.
I hope all of you will join us.
Write this down future to 80.com. I'll talk more about will join us. Write this down. Future280.com.
I'll talk more about it in a moment,
but just in case you got to run, don't.
But if you got to, future280.com
and we invite you as our guest for free,
it's gonna be an amazing five days.
Here's the thing.
Yes, we do have some people who will go through a challenge
and just say, I'm out.
Burn the boats and go all in.
And I respect that.
Simultaneously, most can't.
And the uncertainty would be so big that it would unravel
and they wouldn't be able to do it anyway.
So all of us, you know, kaisen, how do you eat an elephant,
one bite at a time, how do you run a thousand mile race,
one step at a time, how do you realize
that you have a valuable asset that's locked in your head?
How do you unlock it?
How do you share it with confidence? How do you sell it your head. How do you unlock it? How do you share it with confidence?
How do you sell it through service?
How do you deliver it?
All of that can be a slow one step at a time process.
And then all of a sudden, when you realize
that this thing over here is actually growing bigger
than your career, fills your heart, fills your,
hopefully your bank account more than your career,
then you can make a decision to transition.
No magical money machine to get rich for doing nothing.
No overnight riches.
That's not who Tony and I are.
And I know you know that.
Are you wouldn't be here with Heather if you thought that to be true.
I've never met anybody that's bought one of those magical money machines.
They're living on a yacht someplace.
But you know, I know there's a lot of that being marketed.
This is about coming and understanding.
Listen, I guess the best way to describe it
is over five days. They warn you'll know why this, why now, why you? And then Tony Robbins
will climb into your soul and readjust all the knobs. Day two, I go deep on understanding
the bulls eye, like the dot, the niche that you should be teaching. Day two, by the end
of day two, you'll go, oh, shit, I know what I'm going to teach, what I'm going to share, and who I'm going to
share it to. By the end of day three, you'll know that selling is love, selling is service
that if you're not serving others with what you know, you're actually doing them a
disservice, disservice. You'll fall in love with selling by the end of day three. By the
end of day four, you'll have the story, teach, tool framework that Tony and I've been utilizing
for like 70 years between the two of us.
We'll go, oh, I could teach it that way.
That's easy.
Like we'll give you a sense of confidence on how to share it, whether that's being a coach
or creating a course or a workshop.
And then day five, we tie it all together.
Like that's the journey.
And I know most people show up going, I don't know, maybe.
And by the end of day one, you'll know for a fact. Like, this is for you or not.
So I'm gonna just encourage you,
you're invited for free, put it in your calendar,
invite someone you know, someone you care about as well,
get an accountability partner,
show up day one and decide for yourself.
But the end of day one, if it's not for you,
no harm, no foul, didn't cause you a dime.
But I don't think that's the case.
No, that will not be the case.
And again, it's free.
So what you're choosing to do is you're choosing
to invest your time in showing up to test something,
which I love that whole concept.
When you feel so good about something
that you're doing, you have $100 money back there and see
or you just don't even charge people at first to have them show up.
Guys, this is such an incredible, incredible opportunity.
I went through the entire first event that you did.
I think I was back in 2020. It was incredible. I literally filled a notebook with notes.
And I'm just going to move with 25 years of sales and sales leadership expertise.
And I do feel like an expert in that. And I learned so much. So I appreciate, Dean, I think a lot of people
listening right now are going to say, oh, they can understand how to sell. I'm not in sales. Oh, no, that wouldn't be everybody's in sales, guys.
Number one, first and foremost, in any exchange, somebody's going to be sold. So the soon we've
become aware of that and embrace that and say selling is actually helping other people because we're
giving them access to a possible solution. We have to make
their life better. The more people can get excited about that, don't you feel like that's such an
important day in the course? Yeah, day three is my most, it's my most favorite section because
so many people feel like if they build that they will come, you know, I always use that analogy,
Heather, if you ever walk into a Barnes and Noble,
and you ever see those mega Barnes and Noble,
like three stories, there's an escalator,
there's hundreds of thousands of books.
And I always use that analogy.
I said, you know how much work,
I've written six books.
It's so much work writing a book.
And then you think you're done,
goes to the editor and you come back
and I question every paragraph.
I'm like, oh, I can do it.
And it's like, it's painstaking to write a book. And I know how much effort went into
every book on every shelf and every rack and every category. And simultaneously 80% of
books and Barnes and Noble sell less than 1,000 copies. And out of the 20% that sell more
than 1,000, 80% of them don't sell over 5,000 copies. Wow.
And the way I look at it is so many people put all their heart, their energy, their effort
into this book, and they thought, if I write it, they will come.
And they won't.
I don't care how good your coaching is, your courses, your widget is, or whatever it is
you sell, without selling, nothing works.
Selling is the oxygen of every successful person, every successful company in the world.
Now, with that said, you could be selling farm equipment, you could be selling microphones or water bottles,
you could be selling lost services. There's lots of great things that have to be sold.
What I love about this industry is we get to sell something that allows people to live into who they're supposed to be. Unlocks their full potential, help some overcome obstacles, whether you're helping somebody to sell,
to go vegan, to do yoga, to meditate, to get through a divorce with love, to have a child-centered
divorce, to help somebody naturally cure eczema, or to get their stomach in shape, like to work,
we get to be in the business of impacting others others and serving them and getting paid to do it.
So if you're going to learn to sell, isn't it cool to learn how to sell somebody that actually
sell them something that actually helps them? And that's, I mean, when you love what you do,
when people say, what's the secret of selling D&I? So I went with Matthew McConaughey,
oh my god, the way you sold it, we did record breaking sales. How did you
sell? I'm like, the truth is, I spent two months with the guy on the phone almost every
other night going through his course. He flew into my office and we spent a week till midnight
going over every word. And every day he's like, Dean, you think this serves people? I want
to put a story here. I want to create something. I want to get people to write their own
eulogy. Let's do it. Let's lay it out. We worked to midnight. I saw how much this guy
cared, how much he understood patterns from journaling for 30 years, and how much it could change people's
lives. When I saw that, there was never a thought like, oh, I got to sell Matt from a con case.
Course, it's like, I get to sell this. I get to, sir, I could not wait. We were three hours in,
and it was my turn to make the offer for his course
called road trip. I couldn't wait to sell. My enthusiasm went up. My excitement went up. I couldn't
wait to ask for the money because I knew if someone clicked the button and bought his course
that he obsessed on that really took him 30 years to figure out how to sell, I knew it would
change the life. I don't know if I'd feel that way if we were selling better water bottles or
got our microphones.
Like, that's a thing.
We need it, but it doesn't impact.
And now, the people who said, yes, over 30,000 people said, yes, to that course, every
day, people's comments are, it's like, oh my God, life changed, fixed the relationship,
ended a toxic one, started the company, got the promotion every day.
And that's the gift to Tony and I want to give everybody is like, what if you fell in love with your client, fell in love with your product,
and you could not wait to sell something that served them. And here's the cool part. When you
sell knowledge, you don't have to inventory it. You don't have to warehouse it. You don't have to pay
for it. You don't have to air condition it. It doesn't have an expiration date. You could sell it over and over again.
The margins are massive and the impact is huge.
That's why we love it.
And that's why we do this challenge
to get people like you, Heather,
that came years ago to say,
I don't know.
And by the time you leave, you go,
well, hell yes, I'm doing this.
Depend on yourself if the power grid ever quits
for a day or longer. January marked the third time a power station in North Carolina was damaged by gunfire recently.
Authorities are saying the attack raises a new level of threat.
Authorities are now checking our grid for vulnerabilities.
They've identified nine key substations.
If these substations are attacked, power could be knocked out from coast to coast for up to 18 months.
Imagine a blackout, lasting, not days, but weeks or months.
Your life would be frozen in time right at the moment the power fails.
Lights all over the country would go out throwing people into total darkness.

Two things I want to get into on that
Matthew McConaughey's story.
One, I was the guy super successful already, right?
Like he didn't need to.
He was in a situation like I was where I'm like, oh, what am I going to do next?
How do I drive revenue?
This is someone who saw opportunity said, I can add value.
I can make additional revenue.
I can impact lives.
It just reminds me of the industry you choose to be in is your choice. For a long
time, I was in an industry slowly and decline. You are setting yourself up for anyone listening
right now. If you're in an industry that is not in a growth phase, you are making your
life harder than it needs to be. That is fact. Your skillsets can transfer and be valuable
in another industry. We are sitting today having a conversation about a multi billion dollar industry
that is in a growth phase that is leaning towards trillions of dollars. Dean, how important is that
to actually be in a growth phase industry? Think about this. Take real estate, for example, right?
I used to teach real estate because that's how I really got started. And one of the main things I
taught people and everybody go, God, I never thought about that. If you're in a city where people are moving out of, they're migrating out of,
I don't care how good you heart real estate. It's brutal.
One of the people are moving out of your city. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, 10,000 people a month
move into Phoenix. But they're 22 years. It average is 10,000 a month still.
There's always 10,000 people are migrating in.
I want to be in an area where people are migrating into, no matter what the economy is
happening in the world, people are coming in, right?
It's the same thing with a business.
When the economy, when economy ship, when inflation goes up, do you want to have the best
taxi service on the planet or do you want Uber? I'm sorry to use a simple analogy, but you want to go, you want to have the best taxy service on the planet or do you want Uber?
I started using simple analogy, but you want to go, you want to be in an industry
people and moving into their migrating towards their utilizing more.
Just five years ago, when Tony and I started, this industry was $350 million a day, right?
Because we got the stats.
And we ran this year, it is a billion dollars a day.
The latest report we got is by 2028 they're predicting it to be a trillion dollar a year industry.
This industry is exponentially growing and it's not growing by the Tony Robbins and the Dean
Graziosis. It's growing with the Heather Monahan's and the people who are deciding hey I think I do
have something people need.
And hey, I could do it through Zoom.
And hey, I could do it from home.
And hey, I could really change lives.
And I could fall in love with this.
Hey, I could get feedback from people
that I'm changing lives and feel amazing about myself
and still create revenue.
That's why this industry,
and that's why we're so excited to invite all of you.
I hope you join us.
It's future 280, future 280. It starts August 1st. And I'm serious that when I say, pretend
you pay to thousand bucks for this. I mean, that pretend you pay to thousand bucks because sometimes
when people don't pay, they don't pay attention and you discard, it's free, maybe I'll show up.
We do this free because, well, because we can.
And we bring in some, I mean, somebody asked me
on the day is how do you get the guest?
There are four guest speakers that are coming
that all get paid over $100,000 to show up on stage
for an hour, right?
Just those four.
Tony gets way more than that.
I get way more than that.
I'm not saying that we look what we do, but this is people who are coming for the right reason to deliver
capabilities to spark that that interest and to spark the motivation to see what's possible.
Right. Even if you're not coming because you're you're not certain this is for you. Go to give
yourself that confidence through that mindset adjustment and give yourself
some basic training and sales,
which is what you're gonna get from Dean on day three.
That is Christless and valuable in your life,
regardless if you choose to move forward
and launch your own business.
One of the things that I was thinking about
when you were describing the growth trajectory
that this industry is on is,
I used to be a big fan of move fast and
break things you've got to be first to market.
However, with time comes experience, right?
And I've learned it's a great thing when an industry is built out.
It's a great thing when people understand the processes and credibility of a concept.
And to me, when I'm when I've gotten to this three years ago, thanks to you, people
already understood what a mastermind was.
People understood what taking a virtual class was just
because I wasn't an expert in it yet didn't
mean that the world wasn't ready for it.
The world is so ready for it now.
It's impacting billions of people.
That takes out one of the potential objections
or barrier to entry, which would have been probably 10 years
ago, would have been probably 10 years ago,
it would have been a little bit harder to sell in online stores or a community, right?
But now people are so primed for that and you can already see the success stories that are happening
out there. Don't you think this is the ideal time to get in? Yeah, it seems like we're just,
I think it is so magical and perfect and you don't have to do anything and it just works.
But the truth of the batter is like, think about this.
I started this industry 27 years ago.
There was no internet. There was only dial up on AOL.
If you remember AOL with that, you take half-hour to download one video.
So when I started because I got Tony Robbins' course and I wanted to go in this course,
I wanted to impact others and make money doing it. I had to film an infomercial.
It was like a 150 grand.
I had a book, $50,000 with a TV media.
I had to buy inventory, like real course,
like material and CDs and booklets,
and then I had to put them into a warehouse.
And then I had a, I was $250,000 in
before I got sale number one. When I didn't have $250,000, I had a, I was $250,000 in before I got sale number one.
When I didn't have $250,000, I had credit cards and I was juggling and scared to death.
The reason it's so powerful now is like I said, it's not only an industry, it's exponentially
growing.
It's not only an industry growing from regular people learning the skills and doing it.
The connectivity is so easy.
Like Warren Buffett, you know, he does the yearly address.
I think it was last year.
He said during inflation times,
during a chance where the economy
could go into recession,
he said, start a business that doesn't have a lot of overhead.
If you're in a business where you gotta buy farm equipment
and rent it, God of inflation comes in,
you go out of business.
And he said, find a lovely cause words or find a lovely lovely
Company that doesn't have a lot of startup costs and a lot of inventory costs and then number two
Just become better at what you do than other people and he said you'll just command more of the market
But think about that. You're selling your life experience
You're selling your life experience through a zoom online through a
course that you could sell over and over again with not a lot of startup costs,
not a lot of inventory costs, right? And I think it just it just reeks with all
the ingredients that you should at least be exploring this. If it's not for you,
it's not for you, but you'd be crazy to dismiss it. If you said, I don't know
what I'd sell. I don't have a following. No one knows my name or I hate being on
camera. If those four-year excuses, they're not good enough because we have way too many successful students started with that exact criteria. So I'm nudging you. I'm nudging you to come.
Well, one of the things that I want to speak to again from my just personally that happens to me that I would have never.
Never, guys, this is so powerful. When you unlock one opportunity,
you don't know where that's going to lead you, right?
Absolutely.
I had no idea where this was gonna lead me.
Here's what's crazy.
I had put up a post on LinkedIn saying,
you've asked, I've answered.
This is how I marketed it to begin with.
I had no idea what I was doing.
I just said, I'm gonna put it out there.
Limited seats available.
My first ever mastermind DM me to get your seat.
So I did that. All of some, you know, I, I only opened it up for 20 people which you could have
20 people in your community in cellbo's 20 right. You don't need two million. I did not have
two million. And so I signed up these 20 not knowing who these people were. Cut to a couple of
months into my program. One of my quote unquote students
sent me a DM and said, Hey, can I talk to you privately? I knew the guy at the time.
Smart guy, great guy. I got on a call with him. He said, Hey, I'm, you know, I have a board
seat for five different companies. Heather, now that I've gotten to know you, I'd love to potentially
add you to, you know, one of our boards cut to make a long story shorter.
I'm now a board member for the past two years of health and
corporation, but I would have never landed that board.
See if someone hadn't gotten to know me on a more, you know, one on
one level, and I would have never, that would have never happened.
If I hadn't launched my first mastermind, so you don't know where
this can take you,
but I promise you it's gonna unlock opportunities
that you don't even know exist right now.

Yeah, no, it's so true. I love calling that a strategic byproduct. When you're bold enough
to go after your original goal, usually the off ramp turns out to be bigger than the original
goal, but you don't get the opportunity of a strategic byproduct until you're bold enough
to jump in the game. And whatever that game is for you, and listen, we can call it uncomfortable
action being bold, being courageous. But the fact of the matter is we have to do that.
We have to learn, we have to investigate, we have to model people who have already been
there. And you got to move. Like, that's just it. There's no one coming to save us. Sitting
on our hands doesn't help. Blaming doesn't help. We got to move. So if you've got to move. Like, that's just it. There's no one coming to save us, sitting on our hands doesn't help.
Blaming doesn't help.
We got to move.
So if you got to move, you might as well move in a direction of something that's growing,
modeling people that have already done it.
And I mean this with all of me, if you're still with us today, thank you for spending this
time with us.
We'd love for it to be this industry.
But if it's not this, do the same thing in whatever it is you want to do.
Find someone, Heather said this earlier, find someone who's already done what you want
to do, learn from them, and then go take uncomfortable action. There's no other way through it.
I just don't know another way that that's the only way to get from where you are to where
you want to be. It's so true. And it's the fastest way to get there. Yes, maybe you can
figure out in a messy way, but I tried that for years. I wasn't accessing mentors. I wasn't accessing masterminds or
coaching, and it took so much longer. And I was so frustrated beating my head against
well. So if you're beating your head against well, you don't need to do that. Actually, go
find the information. And we've got it for you. It's August 1st through the 5th, right?
Yes. August 1st through the 5th. Yeah, I get to shamelessly plug it over and over because it's the only time a year
We do five days for free and we gather all our friends and and the things you don't see. I'm here
I have a house in upstate New York. We bought a farm which is so cool. I'm looking out in my garden
My son's playing over there in an apple tree. It's
Unbelievable. I feel so blessed to be back in this little town and I have this guest house
I have paper works all over my desk
You can see my desk. It looks like a mess. It's actually a big dining room table that I've been working out for a week and a half
We go all in on this like it's not just hey, let's throw a bunch of people for five days and see what happens each moment each
It's about two hours a day each minute is literally planned out
What Tony's gonna teach on day one is planned out
to open up your heart and see what's possible.
What I teach on day two, what Jay Shetty teach,
which each person teaches.
My schedule, I showed you my schedule tomorrow,
is I'm talking to each of the speakers again
to go through exactly what they're gonna talk about
in the 20 or 30 minutes they're gonna share.
What is the start?
What are they gonna deliver?
What are they gonna share?
What is the person feeling at that moment?
How do we have this breakthrough
and what exercise are you gonna give them?
Each thing is planned out.
This isn't just some free event we throw together.
So when I push it, no, it's because we should be charging
a thousand bucks for this.
So how you pay me back is show up and play full out
and bring a friend if you'd like someone
to have the accountability partner.
And it's future280.com.
Guys, I'm gonna link that in the show notes below.
Go sign up for this.
If this changes your life the way that it did for mine, you're going to be sitting with
a board seat in a whole new revenue stream very soon.
So don't let, don't sleep on this opportunity.
It's way too big.
And Dean, thank you so much for doing this again.
I will be attending this absolutely because I always take so much away when you guys put this together
Well, I appreciate you so much Heather and thanks everybody for listening if you spent this time with us
I know this was a lot about our challenge
But if there's anything today that resonated with you
I promise you it's the place you want to be and we'll see you there on August 1st
I'll see you there August 1st guys check the link out in the show notes below. Until next week, keep creating your confidence. I'm gonna make a move with you.
I decided to change that tiny amount.
And the light fell out.
I couldn't be more excited for what you're getting here.
Start learning and growing.
And inevitably, some people happen.
No one succeeds alone.
You don't stop and look around once in a while.
You couldn't miss it.
I'm on this journey with me.
I hope you're enjoying this episode so far.

the number one business and self-improvement podcast network.
So most people live the life they get
and not the life they want.
And I'm here to change all that.
My goal with each episode is to give you the habits and hustle tips you need to show up to your life better, bigger, and bolder.
Tune in now, and I'll not only help you answer the questions like,
what do you want most in life and why don't you have it, but will also help you make it a reality.
I also picked the brains of top thought leaders on how they've gone to the top,
and the advice they have to help you get there too. Head over to Happets and Hussle,
once you've done listening to this episode and get one step closer to boldness, one episode at a time.
This episode is brought to you by the YAP Media Podcast Network. I'm Holla Taha, CEO of the award-winning digital media
empire YAP Media, and host of YAP Young and Profiting
Podcast, a number one entrepreneurship
and self-improvement podcast where you can listen, learn,
and profit.
On Young and Profiting Podcast, I interview
the brightest minds in the world, and I turn their wisdom
into actionable advice that you can use in your daily life.
Each week, we dive into a new topic like the art of side hustles, how to level up your
influence and persuasion and goal setting.
I interview A-List guests on Young and Profiting.
I've got the best guests.
Like the world's number one negotiation expert, Chris Voss, Shark Damon John, serial entrepreneurs,
Alex and Leila Hermosi, and even movie stars like Matthew
McConaughey.
There's absolutely no fluff on my podcast, and that's on purpose.
Every episode is jam packed with advice that's gonna push your life forward.
I do my research, I get straight to the point, and I take things really seriously, which
is why I'm known as the podcast princess, and how I became one of the top podcasters in
the world in less than five years.
Young and profiting podcast is for all ages.
Don't let the name fool you, it's an advanced show.
As long as you want to learn and level up, you will be forever young.
