I'm so glad you're back here with me this week. Okay, well, I have to tell you, I had my first in person mastermind event over the last four days. And to say that I'm exhausted would be an understatement. It's interesting when you have an in-person event with people that previously had not been together in person, you know, you'd only been working together in Zoom. Wow, it's so fun. It's so exciting and it's incredible to be in person, but putting an event on, it takes

a tremendous amount of effort and work, right? So definitely not for the faint of heart, but I'm super grateful that it went amazing. It reminded me of something that I wanted to share with you today, which is that we've got to put ourselves around other people that are experts in different areas and arenas so that we can learn from them. Even if you think you might not be able to, or you're, you know, like, I guess my point is this,

I'm putting the event on, right? Yet I walked away from the event, learning so much that maybe I'd forgotten about, or I got a refresher on, or that I hadn't been exposed to previously. The only way to go to the next level of life is to get around people who are ahead of you, right? So I hired a performance coach to work with a team.

She's so different than me. And I hired her for my TEDx talk back in 2019. She's an incredible woman. But I hadn't worked with her in years. And I'd forgotten so many of the things that she was teaching. A lot of more basics, but it was so helpful to, I just took pages and pages of notes,

and it just reminded me, it's really on us that we need to make sure that on the regular, we're exposing ourselves to information, knowledge, and experts in different arenas, so that we can start connecting dots and putting things together to find ways to move ahead and reach our potential. So I'm super grateful. I'm exhausted, but I'm super grateful that things once as well as they did and that I got the opportunity to learn so much, even though I was the one putting it on, was so wild.

And then, you know, timing is everything, but I had Tim's story was coming into town for a speaking engagement and I wanted to go in person and support him. I'm a big fan of if someone is in that proximity window of like in your city and their light ears ahead of you, get in that arena, support them, show up, you know, to cheer them on and find ways to help and support others. When you do that, it is inevitable. Something good will come out of it, right? So super grateful.

I got to spend more time with him in person to speak. And then the woman who made it just my social media was in town speaking at a podcast event. Same thing. So I thought, okay, it was the day that everybody from the master run was leaving. I'm like, all right, great. I'm going to go support her and go to her event. And I took pages and pages of notes. And this was something that I hadn't planned on doing. I didn't even know she was speaking at this venue or speaking on the podcasting topic. And this is someone I work with every day,

but getting to see her in a different venue and a different arena was so eye-opening and so helpful. And I learned so much, even though I talk to this woman every single day, right? So sometimes we have to remember that we might know people and talk with them, but we might not see them in the environment where they shine. And I really got to see her teaching from stage, and she just reminded me that I should be leaning into YouTube,

and that I should be leveraging key word searches for, you know, the titles of my show that you're listening to right now. There was just so many things that I wasn't aware I should be doing it. I could do small tweaks, some different things that I guess I had just kind of forgotten about. It was great to go. Okay.
