Okay, obviously you can hear. I have a really bad cold. Now, this is funny because I never get sick. Ever. However, since I started speaking for a living, once a year, I guess, on average is what happens. One year, I remember it was 2018, I just got off a flight and I was doing the Earn Your Happy Podcast with Lori Harder and I literally had no voice. Somehow, through hot tea and lemon,

we were able to make it through. Another year, I got off a flight and I was stepping onto a stage and I went to Starbucks and got the medicine ball. This thing is incredible. I was able to give my speech and then my voice was gone for the next few days. But bottom line is this,

I sound way worse than I actually feel. I feel pretty good. But the weather in Miami has been horrible, freezing, raining, it's been brutal. And now today it's gorgeous, but freezing. It's just kind of crazy. So bottom line is this, first world problems, no big deal, don't worry about your girl.

I'm still showed up for you. Should I have ran a best of episode? I don't know. Is my voice so annoying like this? It sounds funny to me. Okay, but no, I'm going to keep it short. I have two stories. So I'm going to read you a little bit about what she has to say because it's so powerful, what she says and what she did in her life. How to find myself, my values, my code, I live by, how to forgive, and how to love. Writing my heart, my mind, and even my live by, how to forgive and how to love. Writing my heart, my mind, and even my body has literally turned my life upside down. For example, every day I write, everyone I know who is fighting cancer.

Out of the 12, 7 have gone into remission this year and the others are still alive and fighting well. Writing it down, watching life respond to your pet, changes you and the world around you. So today I finished journal number two and I'm starting journal number three. Oh my gosh, I love her testimony. I love. Listen, we can all be told the things to do, right? We can be told every day, start your day off with prayer, start your day off with gratitude,

start your day off revisiting the list of intentions that you have for that day, for that year, revisit and visualize, you know, these things happening, feel it happening. People are going to tell you to do the same things. If you choose to actually do it, you will see change in your life. I did read it, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and your opinion on how to deal with a boss or a leader that doesn't recognize your worth. Well, first of all, you know I wrote a book about this. It's called Overcome Your Villains, my second book. I've been working at my company for four years as a manager and a nurse. I lead a team of hardworking individuals and we have exceeded all expectations and requirements for our goals. But routinely, I feel my director does not recognize us and only wants to push us forward more. We recently had a holiday meeting where we talked about goals and mission for 2024. No one talked about the great things we did this year. And we did not even celebrate the holiday. I am defeated. And recently he pulled me aside to talk to me about my professional demeanor.

I let him know respectfully how I felt as a team member, but I don't know what it will even do. Help! Any advice or suggestions on how to deal with someone who doesn't know the value of recognizing team members would be appreciated. I do care about the quality of work that I bring. I am also aware that my face may not always match what it should be. Tired sometimes to grin and bear it.
