Go to Shopify.com slash Monahan now to grow your business no matter what stage you're in. Shopify.com slash Monahan. If there's anything I can do today to spark your interest to go for more, to think bigger, to be bold, to be brave, to don't let that stupid story or that person in your life that's holding you back, at the end of our life, we're not going to give a crap about any of that. We're just going to say, did I do all I could do while I was here?
Starting point is 00:00:37 So today I hope to be a little spark. Come on this journey with me. Each week when you join me, we are going to chase down our goals, overcome adversity, and set you up for a better tomorrow. Graziosi, I'm ready for my close-up. Hi and welcome back. I'm so glad you're back here with us this week. Okay, you know me and I don't have guests on multiple times very often unless they're special. Today is a return guest. Yes, he's very special.
Starting point is 00:01:02 We've got Dean Graziosi, a dynamic figure renowned for his multifaceted achievements as a New York Times bestselling author, something I've not achieved yet, esteemed entrepreneur, seasoned investor, devoted father, loving husband with a profound entrepreneurial spirit. That's an understatement. Dean has been instrumental in the founding and pivotal growth of over 14 companies, collectively generating an astonishing revenue, surpassing one billion with a B. In his groundbreaking collab with Tony Robbins, Dean has spearheaded and architected
Starting point is 00:01:31 some of the most monumental online events in history. Millions of attendees at each event, aimed at democratizing access to self-education for all. If you've been listening to Gary Vee at all, this is all the man talks about. What began as pioneering online training initiative has evolved into a global movement, literally, profoundly impacting the lives of millions worldwide.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Together, Dean and Tony have redefined the landscape of learning, igniting a paradigm shift in how individuals approach their personal and professional development. And today we're gonna get into how this whole game has changed. Dean, thanks for being here. It's so good to be here.
Starting point is 00:02:07 That guy sounds awesome. Nice intro. Good to see you. Okay. So I like that you bring up that point because it's so often people see you from the outside and they see you with the perfect home life. They see you with the perfect business, billions of dollars, and it's all so easy for you. Will you give people who don't know your backstory a little bit into that?
Starting point is 00:02:29 This journey has not been a layup for you. You know, it's not just not a layup for me. It's not a layup for anyone. And I think, you know, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. Hey everybody. So glad you're here with us. If you're going to spend this time with us, we're going to kill it today. So I'm just telling you right now, I'm in a mood.
Starting point is 00:02:43 So put down your phones, unless you're listening on your phone, put down your pens, no distractions. Don't surf because we're going to kill it today. If you're someone that's unfulfilled in what you're currently doing and you're ready to go the next level, you're stalled and you want to need a breakthrough or it's time to just hit that full potential. We're going to crush it today. So I'm just letting you know, I'm in a mood. So Heather, you ready for this one? Because I'm feeling it today. Let's do it. Here's what I'm thinking. Like I could tell my story and I'll give a little bit of my story in mix, but it's really about you. If you're going to spend this time with us today, this is about you. You wouldn't
Starting point is 00:03:15 be listening to Heather beat a podcast like this. If you didn't know for an absolute fact that you were meant for another level of life. That's a fact. That's one thing we have in common. You could be a woman, you could live in a different area, different religion, different political party. But one thing we definitely have in common is, you know, you're meant for more and you're looking for the fastest, safest path that aligns with your soul, aligns with purpose that can bring you there.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I think we can all agree if we're all in an audience, everybody would raise their hand. Right? So now it boils down to how do you get there? What's the keys to get there? And you asked about it not being easy, but it's not easy for anyone. But is it easy to stay in a job that robs your soul every day of your life, even if it pays the bills and is consistent? Is it easy to stay in something that makes you miss your kids in the most special years
Starting point is 00:04:02 and you realize they're 18 years old and you missed it? Is that easy? Is it easy looking in the mirror and saying to yourself, wow, I thought we'd be further ahead by now. Is this all life has to offer? Is that easy? So when people say to me, isn't it hard being entrepreneur? Is it hard? Yes. But I work on things that I love that have no glass ceiling and I don't have a boss and nobody's got their thumb on my head. I was on a call. I'm in my studio right now, but I can see thousands of people in this studio. Right. And truly fun. And I was on an event not that long ago.
Starting point is 00:04:31 I'm not really talking much about me right now, so I'll get there, Heather. I promise. But I was on this event and it was all women who wanted to take their life to the next level. They were ready for that move. And I said, who in here is in a career right now, but wants to shift. And it was the majority. And I've been really obsessing on this. It's like that subtleness of you get a career and you're super excited, right? You went to school, you got the degree, you went through the
Starting point is 00:04:55 interviews, you got the job and you go in with this fire of like, I can make a change. I can get promotions. I can help take this company to the next level. They are gonna notice me. And I said, who in here has had innovative ideas and it wasn't noticed and you were passed over? Who in here? And I was asking because I didn't know. I've never worked for anybody in my life. Heather, at 17, I started cutting firewood. At 19, I started fixing wreck cars and selling them. At 20, I got my first apartment house. I've never worked for anybody in my life. So I really wanted to study and feel this. And I was asking really good questions for me. And I said, who in here has ever had a boss that deliberately kept their thumb on your
Starting point is 00:05:32 head because they knew that you were smarter than them? And I said, who in here has ever had their chance to present this amazing, innovative idea for the company, but nobody was really listening? And they started raising their hands and I said who in here subtly and slowly gave up on being innovative and creative and I watched half the audience start to wipe the tears from their eyes. I was like wow these amazing women that just had fire slowly got pushed into a box and then I said but it's okay that should be the drive to say, not another day, no more. I'm going to gain the skills, the capabilities. I'm going to take the uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:06:09 action. I'm going to do stuff that used to scare me. I'm going to be bold. I'm going to be brave. I'm going to find a deeper purpose to do it. I'm going to model proven practices. So I'm not out on my own trying to figure it out. I'll just find out who's already been there and do what they do go faster and quicker. So I said, this is the day for transformation, but this is the difference. And what I want to say to you, if you're going to transition from that life to entrepreneur life, you got to find the new mindset because even though you hated that, you got used to it. You stopped being innovative. You just took the paycheck. You said, I should be happy. You convinced yourself you were a little bit longer and I'll get the 401k and the retirement. You have to now realize that the guard rails
Starting point is 00:06:44 come off. If you're gonna be an entrepreneur, you don't have any safety net. And there might be a time where you miss the dance recital and you might miss the game and you might be preoccupied and you might go to dinner with a spouse and you're not really listening because you think about your business.
Starting point is 00:06:59 But guess what? If you decide to do your own thing, that's only for a season and it's for the right reason. And it's in something that can bring you purpose, that there's no glass ceiling, and it's yours. So if you're gonna have those distractions, if you're gonna miss that crap, you might as well miss it for the thing
Starting point is 00:07:14 that can light up your life and bring you an unstoppable energy, where you have life-work integration, not you're trying to numb yourself with five glasses of wine at the end of work. So you can become a human and actually try to be a normal person when you love what you do. You don't even know when work ends and life begins. That would be the greatest gift I wish for every single person that's listening. And I didn't say anything about my story. So I'll let you just ask
Starting point is 00:07:37 another question. Well, you know, it's funny what you just said. It really rings true to me. One of the important things that you're alluding to is when you show up as that electric, excited, happy version of yourself and your life, you just made your life better for your kids. You became a better mother. You became a better spouse, right? Like you just started breathing life into these people that are modeling themselves for what you're creating and who you are. And to me, that is so important and impactful. And your kids and your spouse are the ones that are going to see that difference. Zero question about it. Zero question about it. And life's just clicking by too fast not to do something that lights you up.
Starting point is 00:08:17 I don't know about you, but the last five years for me felt like it was a year and a half. Like I don't even know where COVID, how that fit in. And how did my daughter, my daughter's going to be 18. How did that happen? Where did that happen? Next year, she's like off to college or off to her next thing. So if life is going to go by that quick, we can't waste another minute. Like there's an urgency and there should be an urgency to find you. And I think that's so important. So just a little bit about me is if I go all the way back days, people always ask me,
Starting point is 00:08:45 why do you have so much drive? It's been different reasons my whole life. It's not been the same reason. My drive at 12 years old was watching my mom work three jobs and coming home at nine o'clock at night, tired. She cut hair, cleaned houses and painted houses. And she'd come home at nine o'clock and just pass out totally exhausted.
Starting point is 00:09:02 And we never had any money. I'd go to school without lunch money some days. And I just remember, somebody just asked me this, or else it And we never had any money. I'd go to school without lunch money. Some days. And I just remember somebody just asked me this or else I wouldn't, it wouldn't be top of mind. I just remember, I don't, I might've been 10 and just go money is the issue in our family because if we had money, my mom wouldn't have to deal with that crap. My mom's one of the sweetest women I've ever met in my life. And I just remember saying, I'm getting rich.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And the first thing I'm going to do is retire my mom. I didn't go to college. I didn't take that route. I started cutting firewood in high school But I was a hustler because I had that pain and at 27, I retired my mom She's still with us. Thank God and I still send my mom a check every week now. She's gonna be 80 next week almost 30 years I've been sending her a check every week. I bought her a new car every two years until she stopped driving a couple years ago Two years ago, I bought her the house of her dreams,
Starting point is 00:09:45 a brand new house that she wanted. But that was the drive that got me out of Egypt. But it wasn't the drive that took me to the promised land. That was the drive that got me there, but it had to update once I took care of my mom, then there was other reasons. Then I wanted to feel security. I wanted to feel safe.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I wanted to impact people's lives. Then I had kids. I wanted to be in control of my decisions. I don't want anybody to say, no, you can't go to that baseball game today. You got to work. I'd rather die than someone tell me I can't do that. You know, at this phase of my life, I have four kids.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I bring my kids to school. I make them their lunches. I try to be there for every single event. I don't even miss tennis practice or baseball practice or softball practice. I try to go as many things that I know at the end of my life, I'm not going to be like, I wish I made more money. Or I wish I went to other things, but money was the thing
Starting point is 00:10:26 that allowed me to have those options. So anyway, I digressed. All I'm saying is I know in this journey, I know what it's like to want more. I know what it's like to know you're meant for more, but I also know what it's like when you think, what if it alludes me, what if I don't find my thing? What if I don't get in the right boat? What if I can't row in the right direction? What if no one believes in me? What if this fails? What if I'm stuck here? I've had those emotions to the point of tears and staying up all night.
Starting point is 00:10:53 But I also know the other side, when you persist until you succeed, until you find a drive that keeps you going, even when there's no sign of proof it's going to work, no one else believes you, your friends think you're crazy, and you keep going. I know what it's like to have that first glimpse of success. I know you do too, Heather. And then another glimpse of success and then it stacks on the other. And I know what it's like now to live into a purpose, to love what I do, to know that my kids are okay. And that my family's okay.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And then I get to, I'm working harder right now, Heather, than I have in my whole life and I'm feel blessed to say, I don't have to work another day in my life. I, I could live three more lifetimes. I'm good with my money. I don't do stupid stuff with my money. I love to invest smart and I'm working harder than ever because I just love what I do. So I went, I didn't say a lot about my journey, but I just want to say, if there's anything I can do today to spark your interest, to go for more, to think bigger,
Starting point is 00:11:42 to be bold, to be brave, to don't let that stupid story or that person in your life that's holding you back. At the end of our life, we're not going to give a crap about any of that. We're just going to say, did I do all I could do while I was here? So today I hope to be a little spark. Starting point is 00:15:38 I ask you to try to find your passion. Okay, so I know a lot of people are thinking this. They're like, I don't know if guys for real, you know, we hear a lot of these people, they're so successful, they're full of it. So I just, I want to give a little color here because I've seen it firsthand, had the opportunity to work with Dean out in Arizona. And by chance, what did you know? His daughter was there at work with him that day. And this man is telling you the truth, the commitment and involvement I see firsthand with you and your kids is incredible. And I also have lived the other
Starting point is 00:16:10 side in corporate for most of my career, where you could ask, Hey, you know, I'd love to bring my child to work, you're told a hard no, you could ask, Hey, I'd love to make it to my kids game. It's Friday at four o'clock, you're given a hard note, just that one idea of freedom, which now I have the opportunity to live, it is Friday at four o'clock, you're given a hard note. Just that one idea of freedom, which now I have the opportunity to live, it is so incredibly different. But one of the things I think a lot of people listening aren't familiar with is this idea of the self-education industry. I think it's still so foreign to people because like me, they came up with go to college, check that box, start at entry level in a corporate job, now start, you know, climb the
Starting point is 00:16:44 ladder, climb the ladder, climb the ladder, climb the ladder. And then somewhere along the way, you just get stuck. How can people who are in those situations parlay this information of the self-education industry into their life? I mean, the reason my partner, Tony Robbins, and I started mastermind.com is because for him, the reason we started this, and I'm just going to back up for a little bit, Tony Robbins at 17 years old went to a Jim Rohn event. If any of you are into old school personal development, if you don't, one of the grandfathers
Starting point is 00:17:10 of personal development. Tony goes to a Jim Rohn event, shifts his mindset completely, gets completely hooked on personal development in the self-education. He learns everything from Jim Rohn and Tony went on to be Tony Robbins. I was selling cars, fixing cars, had apartments, had a tow truck company. I'm doing pretty well for myself, but I'm feeling a little off.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I knew I was meant for more. I didn't know what to do. I bought Tony Robbins' course. I listened to that and I'm like, oh my God, I'm meant for more. I could do this. I could change my story, change my life. So learning from someone who's already done
Starting point is 00:17:40 what I wanna do, modeling proven practices, shifted both of our lives, shifted both of our lives. His Jim Rohn, for me, it was Tony Robbins. And then I go in this industry because of that. It was such an impact in my life. I'm like, Oh my God, I could sell information to help people go faster and get paid. Sign me up. Right. And the fact of the matter is that this phase of our lives with technology, making this exponentially easier with this industry that wasn't cool when I started 28 years ago. And now 25 years ago, if you went to dinner and said, I have a coach, like you play baseball, like coach, what do you mean? You're on your soccer team. It's
Starting point is 00:18:12 like, no, I have a coach to help me be a better man. It's like, what the heck is that? Or if you said, I'm in a mastermind or I bought these courses, it wasn't cool when Tony and I were doing it. Now you go to dinner with someone, it's like, oh, I got a coach where it's got our marriage to the next level. Oh no, we got a coach because we're taking our fitness or our life or I have a business coach or no, I'm in this mastermind. We meet four times a year. Oh my God, we go with these great. It's the new cool thing. So when you combine that it's cool, that it's the fastest way to go from where you are to where you want to be, because you get to learn specialized knowledge, right? Go back to school, learn on your own or find something
Starting point is 00:18:44 that's already done when you wanna do and extract their information. It's specialized, it fits, it goes faster. So if you think of all that combo, that's why this industry's growing so fast. So how does that relate to everybody here? It's a billion dollar a day industry. It relates because people have realized the value
Starting point is 00:19:01 of paying for other people's experience. And I promise you right now, you have a skill that you learned through work that someone else is starting on day one. You have an experience that you went through. Maybe you went through a divorce and you found a way to be the most amazing co-parent or a child-centered divorce. Someone else is on the day one of a bad divorce and they need your information. Some of you are passionate about stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Tony was passionate about reversing aging. He obsessed over it for two years, interviewed everyone he could. He wrote Life Force. Not one part of it is his advice in Life Force. New York Times, number one bestseller, one of the bestselling health books of all time, he was just passionate about and decided to report on it. So we live in this era where people are drowning in information, but they're starving for wisdom. And wisdom is really just somebody who's been through a specific experience.
Starting point is 00:19:46 So the reason we're so bullish and so bold on it is because now we've been helping people do this for six years, Heather. And we know that everybody who comes in thinks, well, I now have a following. I don't know if I have an expertise. No one knows my name. And when we watch that person stick with it
Starting point is 00:20:03 and all of a sudden you've watched it, you've been around with us since the beginning. You've watched all of a sudden watching these women, especially we have 62% women in our company come to life and start thriving and they have groups. We have a woman crushing, helping women through menopause naturally and other people finding themselves after trimester four, right? After having a baby, what's next? And other people just women helping other women sell or cut hair. Oh my God, we're watching this thing explode. It's because people, when they realize that their greatest asset is something they know,
Starting point is 00:20:32 when you give them a tool to extract it, package it, and find the people that want it, life's never the same. And that's why we get passionate. It's why we're doing this big event, June 13th and all the things that we do. So that was a long answer to a really short question, but I'm a little fired up about it. But it's good that you're fired up because you're living your truth.
Starting point is 00:20:50 And I think that's so important for people to hear right now, because if you're sitting at a job right now, not fired up, that's a problem. Take it from me. I sat in a seat for years knowing I was meant for more, but back then I sadly didn't know who you were and didn't have that guide. I didn't have that person I could tap to say, okay, I will sign me up for this program. I want to be shown that there's a different way. And right now I want you to know there is a different way. Millions of people have gone to these events,
Starting point is 00:21:17 have been in this program and it's worked. There's so many examples of how it's worked. So for people who are sitting there saying, yeah, great. I'm in this job. I have to pay bills. I can't risk my job that I'm in. I have all this Fred, all this confidence that's associated with what I've created here. And yeah, I know I don't like it. I know I'm meant for more. What step can they take or like, how can you make it easier for them Dean to see
Starting point is 00:21:39 that there is a different way to do this? Listen, there's so many things online telling you how to get rich for do nothing, right? I would never give anyone advice to take away their security and jump in with both feet, even though that's exactly what I've done in every phase of my life. But I would never give that advice because it's scary. And I've had rough patches in my life and sick to my stomach. And I really screwed myself this time. I've said that multiple times in my life. You did it this time, Dean. There's no coming back from this one. You're not going to recover.
Starting point is 00:22:09 And maybe I'm the type that just needs my back against the wall to make it work. Right. So, but I wouldn't suggest that to everyday people, but the opportunity we have today, and this is why we're calling our event. The game has changed. And yes, I'm plugging this event because if you're investigating something new, it's a three day event. It's free. It's Tony Robinson. I, and we're just going to pull back the curtain on some really cool stuff that we've never shared ever because
Starting point is 00:22:30 of AI, AI that thinks like Tony and I, because of technology, things that used to take months and months and hours and hours and hours to figure out can literally be figured out in minutes. So the reason I love or call it the game has changed because it has completely. So when you have a blueprint and you can model proven practices, you can do what other people have already done to succeed. You can enter an industry that's exponentially growing. You're not starting taxi cabs when there's Uber, right? You're out in front.
Starting point is 00:22:57 You have the opportunity to say, Hey, I don't love this job, but I'm going to keep it and go all in until I can replace that income. And I've watched so many people do this and simultaneously, I'm going to start, hear me on this one. First off, when you start resenting your job, life gets miserable. I just want everybody to hear this. The job you have or the career you have, or even the business you have was once a dream of yours, you have to remember that some people career after dreams, they get their dream job and then they start resent remember that. Some people craft their dreams, they get their
Starting point is 00:23:25 dream job, and then they start resenting it. Here's what I'd say. Just like a relationship, what if you spent the next 90 days absolutely falling back in love with the job that even though you don't like it, because you fell in love with it because you knew it was only a stepping stone to be the woman or the man you were meant to be, and you found a way to whistle on your way to work, and you found a way to be excited because you knew it wasn't gonna last forever. You knew that this had an end. And simultaneously, the three things, fall back in love with that job
Starting point is 00:23:50 because it was a stepping stone and we all need stepping stones. Number two, make a not to do list and stop doing crap in your life that's covering for the bad job. Maybe quit the cocktails two nights a week. Maybe quit sitting with the girls having coffee or sitting with the guys and having coffee
Starting point is 00:24:04 and just talking about why the world's bad. I'm not knocking it. We've all done it. Maybe it's time to stop getting on your phone when you're not feeling the best in scroll for two hours, say no and find extra time. So try to fall back in love just temporary. Say no to the crap that doesn't serve you. Anything that's in the gray, it either serves you or if it doesn't, if it doesn't serve
Starting point is 00:24:21 you, throw it away, open up that time and then investigate and work on the new thing. The reason I love the self-education industry because you already have the asset lives in your head. You don't have to pay for it. You don't have to warehouse it. You don't have to ship it. It doesn't cost you anything. No cost of inventory. You just got to understand how to package it into a valuable asset. And that's what we teach. So my thoughts are, is if you can get in a better space by saying this job is just the temporary thing But I'm gonna love it again say no to the crap that doesn't serve you find that extra time and go all in on this You'll have the time to get this plane off the runway and all of a sudden if the plane gets off the runway
Starting point is 00:24:56 And you end up having a coaching program or a course or a workshop or you build a community or you start making money with? Podcasts all of a sudden if that gets to a point where it fills your heart and it's starting to fill your bank account, you could say goodbye to the job. I mean, it's so unfair that I did not have this. I am so pissed off. Where were you guys doing this? Timing is everything, but I'll tell you to your point, this industry is growing at a billion dollars a day for a reason.
Starting point is 00:25:23 People see a need and want this information. They want to be able to access information to change their lives without having to go back to a former school and give up their day job, right? And to your point, don't wait like me to get fired because then I did like you did many times, I had to have my back against the wall. I had to burn through my 401k.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I had to burn through all my savings. I had to figure out on the run, which is very, very stressful. And I highly suggest not. Don't recommend it. Don't do it. Don't do it. So start investing in yourself today and start taking these steps. Now you mentioned AI, Dean, and it's super interesting to me because I have my own AI bot now, which is so crazy and so surreal. And I think everyone's seeing AI everywhere. But I have a lot of friends who are calling me saying, and their kids are our kids age, you know, AI is robbing kids
Starting point is 00:26:08 of their jobs and AI is awful and it's terrible. What do you say to those people that are the naysayers about AI, seeing AI in a negative light and how are you turning AI on its head and making it a positive for business? Think about this. Think about anything new in life. You remember when the internet first started getting popular and everything is like the it AI on its head and making it a positive for business. Think about this. Think about anything new in life. You remember when the internet first started getting popular and everything is like the world is over, right? AI is extremely powerful. AI is like the printing press, running water, the vehicle, the internet.
Starting point is 00:26:36 It will be a dramatic shift in our lives. And I heard something I thought was really, really strong. AI will not steal your job. People who understand and utilize AI will steal your job. That's just a fact. And anything could be used. You know, drugs can be used to save lives and to get people addicted. Guns can be used to protect you or kill. AI could be used for evil or could be used to exponentially get results. Think of it this way. And I know everybody knows this, so please excuse me for a minute, but I was with my 88 year old father last weekend.
Starting point is 00:27:08 And he said, Dean, explain the AI that you're working on. Cause we're not just working on a typical AI. We spent a million dollars, we spent the last year to get an AI that thinks like Tony and I do when it comes to business. So you want help writing a headline, you want help writing a course, you want help writing a speech,
Starting point is 00:27:22 you want help writing an email, you want to follow up sequence, you want to build a page. you want a follow-up sequence, you want to build a page. We have 74 years experience and we taught our AI to think like us. It's like having Tony and I in our pocket. It blows my mind that this technology is here. But I said to my dad, he said, explain it to me. I said, okay, and I made this up.
Starting point is 00:27:38 I said, AI is not Google. I said, Google is like going to a library and finding a librarian and you have some information you need. I want find this book, I wanna read on this. And a good librarian could go over the cue cards in the old days or go on the computer and go, oh, aisle two, section shelf, up on the top, there's a book that solves that
Starting point is 00:27:54 and there's the information that solves that. That's Google, it can find any bit of information you want. I said, AI is the librarian read the entire library and was so smart that she can correlate all the information and give you a better answer of everything she learned. I said, AI read the entire internet and is putting it together. AI will rob some industries, but it will flourish in others. So my whole thing is, and we've been really strong on this and our community uses it every
Starting point is 00:28:23 day, is just use it as a really smart executive assistant. Somebody who could help you, and this is the word you should think about, get off the blank page. I don't know how to start the book I want to write. I don't know how to start the course. If I built a group for just women, what would I say in the first one? If you had the opportunity to go in, listen, I get $250,000 a day for consulting. And I've turned down the last couple of years. The last one I did wasn't that long ago, but
Starting point is 00:28:49 I was helping guy, but he was in a $50 million company. Tony gets a million dollars a year. He's got a seven year wait list. If you want Tony to consult you personally, I think he's got five or six people. He doesn't want to do more than that. He's got a seven year waiting list. This is the opportunity where you have Tony and Dean in your pocket. It answers the way we knew. We could say, no, that could hurt the world or no, that can help me enhance the world. Listen, right now, if you use the AI to get the business off the ground, if you had the opportunity to quit the job you didn't want, I'm not saying it happens overnight, but you
Starting point is 00:29:18 have this momentum. Could you be a better parent? Could you be a better partner? Could you be a better in your community? Would you donate more to people need? Would you hire people that need a job? Would they be able to go out and shop more? It could fuel the economy. It could fuel your life if it's leveraged properly. And so the fear needs to go away. And the reality is find a way to utilize it. And that's why we love it so much, because some of the things that we used to teach people, how to find your niche, how to find your ideal client, how to write the copy for it, we would
Starting point is 00:29:47 teach them. We teach it better than anyone on the planet, but some of that takes months. Now you can ask it and literally it sounds too good to be true, but stuff that took months doesn't take weeks. It doesn't take hours. It takes minutes. It's crazy. And that's why the game has changed.
Starting point is 00:30:01 That's why, listen, if anybody listening truly is just thinking about doing something different, we'd love to invite you to show up and just investigate. I promise you, you won't leave going, that was a waste of time, especially Tony's fired up for day one. If you ever watched Tony Robbins, he is on fire for day one. He might even go a little long, but it's going to be fire. Well, and it's free. So, I mean, guys, there's no reason not to invest in yourself, especially when it's free.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Right. So this is going to land with you and I'm super interested to share it with you. So a friend of mine, this is, we were just together yesterday, couple of months I was with her, she'd been laid off from her career. And she was like, I'm going to take a little time to figure out what I want to do. Maybe I want to go work for myself. She's saying like, maybe this is the calling. She invested herself, gets into some program, and it was about how to become a coach. She'd never thought about it, but it just piqued her interest. So she took it. Two months later. I'm meeting with her again.
Starting point is 00:30:48 We went for a walk yesterday and she's telling me I love this. I'm getting all this great feedback. Heather. I'm coaching people. It's changing my life. I feel like I have a purpose why I'm here, right? Like you could see her eyes lit up. She's so happy and I was so happy for her that she found it. However, she's like, but I need some help. I said, you know, what's going on? She said, I don't know how to price it. I don't know who to market it to. I don't have social media and all of the don'ts and the frees. And by the end of the hour, when we're done with our walk and I need to go back home because it's NBA finals right now, people,
Starting point is 00:31:18 come on, keep it real. And so I'm about to take off from her and she's like, but where do I go with any of this? You know what, Heather, forget it. I think I'm just going to give up because maybe I should just go back to corporate because maybe this isn't for me. And I just looked at her. I said, you haven't found the right program yet because here's the thing. It's clear. You found your passion and thank goodness, you took this first course. You're in step one, but there are solutions for you. So what do you say to those people that they're like, I've taken a course, I tried to invest in myself and figure it out, but it didn't get me to the end game. The only thing I can say is,
Starting point is 00:31:51 we have been doing this for a long time and we know where people get stuck. And the only reason Tony and I went into this, he doesn't need another thing in his life. I'm blessed I don't need to do another thing. We went in this industry truly because of that. There are too many people saying, get rich for being a coach, be a course creator,
Starting point is 00:32:09 be an influencer, do podcasts, make six figures doing this, doing that. There's so much of that crap out there that we wanted to create a real resourceful system to meet them where they are and provide the step-by-step solutions in these three days alone. By the end of day one, you would know
Starting point is 00:32:25 what to sell, who to sell it to, how to price it, how to name it, and have your teaching topics all in just one day that used to take months. And we're gonna do that on the first day. And we also have the opportunity, we love if people want to continue working with us because we know the results we can get people. And I would just say this, if you're gonna buy a course, you're going to study from someone, just do the work to understand how much depth and breadth they have. Right? What kind of results are they getting for other people? Sometimes this doesn't make it bad. They build a course that's just a niche, how to communicate as a coach. So you get done. It's like, I know how to talk. This is great. How do I get my first client? Right. And sometimes it's like how to be a marketer that gets coaching clients
Starting point is 00:33:04 like, okay, I know how to get the clients. I don't have the confidence to teach. Then how do I write emails? What is our follow up sequence? What do you mean? They want more stuff. They want to master. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Right. So what we want to do is, and I would call it simplicity on the other side of complexity. We want to create the business plan, the system to meet people where they are and say, if you're brand new, start here. I can't wait for you to go through what Tony and I've created because Heather, it will enhance your life, but you're not going to start in the same place your friends started. You're going to start in a different spot and you might get our biggest
Starting point is 00:33:33 techniques of how to fill a mastermind or how to do an event where we put tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people in, how do you model those pieces, you're going to look at a different part than somebody else. So I would just say, first off, if you're going to buy a course, just see the kind of success rate they have and really know what you're buying. Yeah. And then once you're passionate about it, then you just can't stop. I love success stories as I know you do.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Can you share with us a success story from one of the people who've been through you've been doing this now for six years, one of these programs that signed up that got into the system? I mean, I feel these programs that signed up, they thought into the system. I mean, I feel blessed. We have thousands and thousands and thousands of them, you know, one that really hits home only because I got the chance to meet her, her name is Huy Huy. I hope I said that right. She's from Singapore and has a little bit of a broken English and
Starting point is 00:34:19 she's an extreme introvert. And she had a retail store that she worked with her father on and COVID came and it shut down her retail store and she went out of business and she always had a passion to help others and she knew how to run a business and start a business. So she wanted to be a coach. She hired a coach to help her be a coach and they were halfway through a couple trainings and the coach said, you're an introvert. You don't really look like a coach.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I would say you need to find something else and the coach said, you're an introvert, you don't really look like a coach. I would say you need to find something else. And she said, she cried for months. And the part that I love the most about this, and this is what you really got to hear, I'm a massive introvert. We are so connected to so many people that you don't have to be anybody other than who you are and you will track like tracks like we we is very soft spoken.
Starting point is 00:35:06 She's got a little bit of an accent, but fortunately she came to one of our events and she decided to go all in with us and she started working with us. Her first year she did a hundred thousand dollars. Her second year she did 1.3 million and she did so well that we invited her out here and I got to meet her firsthand and she broke down crying. She wrote me the most beautiful letter. It's still on my desk right now. The most beautiful letter and what she said was this woman made me think that I wasn't enough,
Starting point is 00:35:29 that I was pointless. And what you made me realize is that there are people that need to learn from just me. Maybe not the extroverts, maybe the people that want snazzy and fancy or a loud voice, or maybe people who want to cheer like Tony Robbins. She said, you made me realize that there was enough people around this world that would like to learn from Huy Huy. And now she's got a million dollar plus business every single year. This woman's smile was so contagious, but I felt her, you know, disappointment. I felt where she felt like she wasn't enough, like she couldn't do it. And I'm just so glad that we were able to give her that lift.
Starting point is 00:36:01 And, you know, I share that story, but we literally have thousands and thousands and thousands of success stories and it's what drives us every single day. I'll tell you, I love that story. I had never heard that story before. And I love it because I was speaking for a tech company a couple of weeks ago and one of the women, very strong accent, not a native of the US, now living in the US, came up to me
Starting point is 00:36:21 and was giving me all the reasons why she can't be successful beyond the current job and current role she's in, one of which is that I have a very strong accent, Heather, and people probably have a hard time listening to me, one of which is that I'm a mother and I don't have time outside work. All of the excuses that we hear from so many people. But what I love so much about your community is it's so robust, so large, so diverse. And when you get around a group of people like that, you start realizing these are just excuses. If this person is over there, same drawback I have, maybe it's an
Starting point is 00:36:52 asset and not a drop-out. So, so true. I mean, there's nothing like a community of social proof because you start realizing there's something, it doesn't make you feel better, but there's something amazing about knowing that everybody's dealing with the same stuff. We all get scared. We all feel like imposters. We're all not sure.
Starting point is 00:37:09 We all have a certain person in our life that we'd be afraid to say we want to be an entrepreneur because they'll tell us to stop be a dreamer. Like all of those things are so common. And when you realize why people quit sometimes, it's because of that, not because the capabilities weren't there, not because the opportunity wasn't there. So that's another thing I think we do really well. Listen, he's my partner, my brother impacted my life 27 years ago, but I'm not sure there's anybody on the planet that can climb inside your mind and make you move forward like Tony Robbins. He still gets under my skin. Like we talk every day, we leave a voice memo to each other
Starting point is 00:37:40 every night and we try to talk at least once a week. But I woke up this morning to a five minute voice memo. To this day, I listen to his voice memo, I get done. I'm like, all right, today's a day. Today's a day. Right. So I think we have a combo of somebody who gets under your skin and say, I'm going to keep moving forward. I will persist until I succeed. And then we have the capabilities and the tools to actually do it. And I think that's why we've been able to do so well, you know, something I'm going to share at the event. And I've never shared this any place else because I want to talk about it when
Starting point is 00:38:02 we, when we do a voice memo, we do a able to do so well. You know, something I'm gonna share at the event, and I've never shared this any place else because I wanna talk about it when we hopefully, pass a million people registered for this event, is in life for success. We need three things. You need a map, the right map, you need the right guide, and you need the right tools.
Starting point is 00:38:21 I was with a friend of mine the other day and I was giving him this analogy. I said, if it's 1897 here in America and somebody's on the East coast and they say there is gold in the mountains of California. If you can get across the country, you can prospect, you could be rich. The first thing you'd need is a map.
Starting point is 00:38:37 You gotta get from New York to the hills, to a cave in California, right? So you gotta get the map, but you gotta get the right map. If somebody drew it wrong, if you're two degrees off, you're lost, right? So once you have the map, like awesome. It's like, but along the way could get a flat tire, something go wrong. You get lost. You kind of give up on yourself. You need a guide to go, no, no, no, we're okay. We can do this. This is the path. No, this is the path. No, this is how you read
Starting point is 00:38:57 the map. No, that is the hill. And when you walk in the cave, you need a guide to go, no, no, no, it's not down there. It's down this way. This is how you identify. No, that's fool's gold. The fool's gold. You got, this is real gold. So you need the guide to go. No, no, no, it's not down there. It's down this way. This is how you identify No, that's fool's gold. The fool's gold is you got this is real gold. So you need the guide And lastly if you got all the way across the country with the right map And the guide helps you get all the way there and you find the gold But it's behind a big rock if you don't have a tool you're screwed, right? And if it's the wrong tool if you go, okay, your gold's on the other side of the rock Here's a spoon like you're not getting it, right?
Starting point is 00:39:25 your gold's on the other side of the rock. Here's a spoon. Like you're not getting it. Right. And so I think what Tony and I have been so good at doing is making sure that people have the right map. 74 years of doing this. They have the right guide with our AI and what we do and our team. We make sure we put the guardrails up and guide you in the right direction and keep you in the right mindset to keep moving forward. And then we built the greatest tools on the planet. They go, no, I have the jackhammer. I have one step ahead innovation. I have one step ahead tools to make it faster, quicker and easier so I don't need anything else. And I think that's been our competitive edge.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Meet a different guest each week. Money's not in the chain. Confidence created. Americans spend an average of 90% of their time indoors and take about 20,000 breaths a day. According to the EPA, indoor air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air and in some cases up to a hundred times more polluted. Data shows that air pollution is responsible for nearly 7 million premature deaths globally. I mean, this is crazy how
Starting point is 00:40:22 concerning it is to hear that your air in your home is polluted. Maybe you have allergies like me and my son. Maybe you live near a highway. Maybe you live in a city, right? Like there's so many issues with toxicity everywhere. You need to make sure that your home is a clean and safe place. And air doctors helping us with it. Starting point is 00:42:18 I ask you to try to find your passion. I mean, that's a pretty strong competitive edge. And thank you for that visualization because that was so clear with those three elements and why with that story of going out for the gold, like you need to have those three things and just one of them is off. And suddenly you think you failed when you just didn't have. Think about it, right? Think about if you had only two of the three of those in the past, somebody might've bought
Starting point is 00:42:44 the technology to build a course. But if you didn't have somebody guiding you and you didn't have the map, you'd be like, I got this tech. What do I do with it? Right? Your friend, she might've got the map on to be a coach and she might've got a guide, but she didn't have the tools on how to email, how to get people to come, how to charge their credit cards. She missed the tool. So then she's like, I'm a failure. It's like, no, you don't have the right tool. It's like, if you're the greatest mechanic in the world, you know, everything about an engine and something breaks down and you need to change your spark plugs and you go, oh, you're the greatest mechanic in the world.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Can you fix my car? Of course. But you can't do with any tools, nothing you could do. You can't take a spark plug out of an engine without a wrench and, and, you know, right. So when you really look through that lens, if you've failed before, and I don't mean failed in a tough way, but if you've been disappointed before, probably wasn't your fault.
Starting point is 00:43:32 And I want you to really think about that. You probably were missing one of those three. And if you really think about it, you can go, ah, and maybe give yourself a little break, right? A little grace. So you could say, Hey, I wasn't playing with a stack deck. I didn't have all the pieces. Get all the pieces, get after it. Then you can look in the mirror if you don't do it.
Starting point is 00:43:51 It's so true. People always want myself included. We all want to blame ourselves. We want to say it's us that we are the ones that are failing when the reality is we might not have the right system. People places in our graph to even know. Okay. So for people who haven't been before, which I don't even know who are you people, millions of people are going to your events that you have each year, but if they haven't been, what can you share about this event and why they should attend? I would say if you're unfulfilled in your career, you're a success seeker, you're investigating, you're a one foot in, you're a part timer, or you have a business that's not hitting the mark, I think it's a must that you come to this event.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I'll tell you why. Come just to investigate. What can you expect? You can expect people from all over the world, we'll have over a hundred countries, you can expect that you can watch it from home in our high end studio. So everything we do is high end. It's not just a little zoom screen. And you can expect myself and Tony Robbins and some amazing special guests.
Starting point is 00:44:50 We got some cool people coming this year. This is the first year we're not putting faces up. We're just going to surprise people each day with incredible guests. But all of us are hell bent on showing you a path and a plan, the proven path on how to enter this industry with confidence. How to every time you go, I don't think I can do that. You go, oh wait, I do have that skill. Okay, but who would it go to?
Starting point is 00:45:10 And then all of a sudden go, oh, that's exactly who would want it. So picture day one, you end up discovering the asset that lives between your ears that is valuable. Whether that's a career skill, a life experience, a passion, like we said earlier, then we'll share a little bit like how should I deliver? Should I build a community of amazing women? Should I write a course? Should I record a course?
Starting point is 00:45:30 No, I'm going to do a workshop. No, I'm going to do a mastermind. We'll identify that on day one. And day one, we will literally lay out your six teaching topics, things we used to take months to teach because of we're going to use some fun tools. We'll get all that done in day one without any overwhelm. And then Tony Robbins comes on for an hour and a half and just crushes every old belief you had and you'll be vibrating when you go to bed. Like, you know, you've watched it, Heather. Tony will just like, you'll be crying, laughing, jumping, cheering, ready to just to knock everything over out of your way. Day two, that's my favorite day because I
Starting point is 00:46:03 love turning sales into service to show you how to fall in love with getting a yes. So if you've ever had hesitation on selling, ever had hesitation like I could build up that I got to ask for money, you don't have to ask for money when you do it right. When you know your ideal client and you provide something that solves their problem, yeses come without you having to feel like a cheesy used car salesman. So day two, I turned selling into service and show you how to create an irresistible offer. And I'll show you how to get your first sale,
Starting point is 00:46:27 next sale and consistent sales. So by the end of day two, you'd be like, well, damn it, I could create this. This is who I serve. This is who I wanna deliver to. This is the problem I solve. I feel unstoppable. This is how I get a yes.
Starting point is 00:46:38 And by day three, I'll teach you how to deliver it with confidence and in between our amazing guests to show you they can do this and social proof. And by the end of day three, we hope you say, well, hell yes. And you stay engaged. And we'd love for you to work with us to take it to another level. I've shared this before, but I'll share it again. You know, during COVID, my speaking business disappeared, everything disappeared. I had Dean on my show. Dean gave me access to this course. And I am a testament to everything he's talking about right now. It works. I had never thought about launching. I didn't really know anything, to be honest with you, about coaching business, masterminds. I didn't really even
Starting point is 00:47:17 understand any of that. I had no idea that you could basically take the knowledge that you think is just so normal to you, that it's not a a big deal and then actually go ahead and create a revenue stream out of teaching and helping others to know what you know. Anyone listening to this, I promise you, just like my friend who lost her job, she found that she has something that she can teach and she's helping people. Now she just needs to find out the business plan, how to monetize it, how to market it. And Dean is teaching all of these things. And listen, I've been in sales my whole entire career.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Dean's been in sales longer than I have. Dean's driven more sales. This is the guy you wanna learn from, right? This is someone who's gonna teach you, he taught me different hacks and tips and strategies that you could implement into your business so you can feel good. Selling is helping.
Starting point is 00:47:59 And literally this whole industry and dynamic is all about helping to empower others to have access to the knowledge that you have that is special and unique to you. The way that you speak and your background and your story is going to connect with people in ways that it won't connect with others. So true. You've got to show up. It's so important.
Starting point is 00:48:15 If for nothing else, show up for that one person that you might have a chance to help just from a place of curiosity that you can make the world a better place. Because I tell you this right now, the world needs your light. And like Dean said, oh my gosh, Tony Robbins, people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars just to hear him speak. You're getting a ticket for free because we love you. Dean, I am so in.
Starting point is 00:48:36 I get so fired up. And it doesn't even matter. Like you said, you might be far along in your business. You might be far along in this career. But you can learn something else. You will learn something else. I know I'm going to learn something else and I know I'm going to feel inspired. I know that I'm going to feel excited.
Starting point is 00:48:50 And I just, there's something, would you say, Dean, with that energy of having that many people in community together? It is. And you realize you're not alone and you realize when you're in a chat, you know, you in your personal life, you might say, Hey, you know what? I'm ready for something else. I'm doing this. And you'd get, Hey, you should be happy, Heather. Look at you. Look how far you've, in your personal life, you might say, Hey, you know what? I'm ready for something else. I'm doing this. And you'd get, Hey, you should be happy. Heather, look at you.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Look how far you've come in your career. Why would you compromise that? This is a group where you go, I'm in and 10,000 people will be like, me too. Go for it, girl. I got your back or go for a dude. And that's why I tell people, you got to show up live. And that's why we do it live. And then within a week, it's taken down off the internet, gone.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Like you can't go back on YouTube and watch this later. It's gone after a week. Right. And there's nothing we do it live. And then within a week, it's taken down off the internet, gone. Like you can't go back on YouTube and watch this later. It's gone after a week, right? And there's nothing like the energy alive. And you guys are all invited for free. We've got a special link. I'm sure you'll put that in the show notes, but if you go to Dean and Tony live.com forward slash Heather, Dean and Tony live.com forward slash Heather,
Starting point is 00:49:42 you get to register for free. And what I'd suggest, and this is something I really would consider doing, when you're listening to this, go register. I promise you'll be sending Heather thank you letters that we talked. I promise you this. But what I would suggest is go register and then take that link and start a text string with some friends to do it with you. Send it to two of your friends, three of your friends and say, let's do this event together
Starting point is 00:50:04 and let them be your accountability partner. Soon as the event's over on day one, we're going to go about three hours on day one, probably two and a half hours the other two days. Tony just has a lot he wants to share on day one. So I wouldn't miss any of it. I would say at the end of each day, just start that text string fired up and go, what was your biggest takeaways? What are you going to do? What are you committing to? And just get each other to commit. So I would go register and then send that link in a text string and get a whole bunch of people do it with you. And you never know who might be struggling in their job.
Starting point is 00:50:31 You never know who might be a state home mom that wants to start doing more that their child's getting near graduation. Like toss the link out to people and say, Hey, I don't know, this is something I'm attending. It's going to be inspirational. It's going to be educational. If you can make it great, do it. There is no reason not to it's free. And it's all about uplifting and up leveling you and your community.
Starting point is 00:50:49 And you know, I'm such a believer in accountability guys, and no one succeeds alone. You need a crew. You need a team. This one's free. Send it out to people that you think it could help. Dean, it's June 13th. It's almost here. Yeah, it's almost here.
Starting point is 00:51:03 It's June 13th, 14th and 15th. If I have bags under my eyes, it's because I'm prepping every single night. All right. Well, June 13th, we're going to see you there. Grab the link in the show notes below, toss it out to your friends, invite people. You could be the reason why someone starts a new business and find success and it costs them nothing. It costs you nothing.
Starting point is 00:51:21 I'm grateful, Dean, that you're doing this yet again. I know that there's plenty of different ways you guys could be spending money for three days of your time and you're doing it for free. So thank you for giving back. Thank you for giving to me and helping make my business so successful and thank you for doing it for everybody else. Awesome. Well, and I think I'm going to see you soon.
