Hi, this is a notice from your local utility provider regarding an unusual but contained electrical anomaly. A small number of households have reported that, after turning off lights, certain rooms remain illuminated for several seconds longer than expected. In rarer cases, lights remain on indefinitely, despite the power being disconnected or breakers being switched off. If you encounter this issue, do not attempt to troubleshoot it yourself. Do not reenter the affected room to check the fixture. Never, repeat, never, attempt to touch the affected outlet with your bare skin. Instead, exit the area immediately and close the door behind you.

If possible, place a barrier in front of the door and avoid returning to that space until notified of an all-clear by your local utility company. Technicians have been dispatched and are working to resolve the issue. It is worth noting that technicians are not working on any private residences. If you see someone outside of your house near your utility box, do not interact with them. Under no circumstances should you remain in a room where the light does not respond to switches. If the light appears to brighten when you move closer to a source of illumination, leave the vicinity immediately. Please, remain calm. We will get through this together.
