Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, I'll tell you the truth. We found her dead. What? She's dead? She's dead. He got found her, like, dead wear. Joy Nath is in the hot seat after his ex's toddler daughter is found covered in dried blood. And detectives said they found Maria Camilla Garcia Molina stabbed to death in her car. I'll show you Joy Chandra Nath's police interview and what he told detectives about the day Camilla died. Welcome to Crime Fix. I'm Ann Janette Levy.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Maria Camilla Garcia-Malina was loved by her family and friends and her three-year-old daughter, whose life will never be the same. She went by Camilla, and she had an ex-boyfriend, who she had accused of stalking her. His name was Joy Chandra Nath, and she'd gotten a restraining order against him, which had expired. Joy Nath would later be charged with Camilla's murder. On April 26, 2025, Miami-Dade County deputies responded to a neighborhood after Camilla's three-year-old daughter was found wandering, covered in dried blood. The deputies talked to a neighbor. Yeah, but she stayed, like, the whole process.
Starting point is 00:01:19 She was like asking everybody, every house, who's this child? We're just going to, we're just going to write down. It's weird. If any neighbors have anything perfect, and we're going to write down every house that has cameras and we're just going to turn it into whoever's investigating this. So if you see anything? I have it right here. But, you know, you can't see much.
Starting point is 00:01:40 It's just the car she shows up. She gets out. She asks the guy, do you know who this girl is? And he's like, no. And then she asked me. And she had some lady that was here who was walking her grandson. Yeah. Or like, we don't know.
Starting point is 00:01:57 They're probably going to want to look at any cars driving by the area of something prior to that. You know what I'm saying? Pryor coming here and asking for it. Yeah. But you don't have to worry about that right now. They're going to, they're going to. But yeah, it'd be because that, yeah, by that time the incident has, you know, the girl's already here, you get me?
Starting point is 00:02:14 So they don't want to see any cars prior to that. They're trying to figure out how to go that here. Perfect, man. We'll just go down that way. I appreciate it, man. Thank you. A probable cause affidavit stated, investigation revealed that the victim had left her residence with her juvenile daughter at approximately 1230 p.m. subsequently at approximately 2.38 p.m.
Starting point is 00:02:38 The victim's daughter was discovered abandoned around the neighborhood of the victim's mother's residence, which was highly unusual. The victim's daughter had blood on her and no trauma. Furthermore, the victim's daughter disclosed to a Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office vulnerable victims' unit detective that her mother was with joy and that her mother was hit in the head and she was now sleeping. Detectives brought Joy Nath in for questioning. Should you talk to me anything you might say may be introduced into evidence in court against you. Do you understand that right? Yes. If you want a lawyer present during questioning at this time or any time hereafter, you are entitled to have a lawyer present. Do you understand that right? Yes. If you cannot afford to pay
Starting point is 00:03:29 for a lawyer, one will be provided to you at no cost if you want one. Do you understand that right now? Knowing these rights, are you now willing to answer my questions without having a lawyer present? Do you read this one for me? Read how about it? The statement is signed of my own free will without any threats or promises having been made to be. And today is April 27, 2025,
Starting point is 00:04:05 and the time right now is 2.30 a.m. How do you do Camina? Yeah. Okay. Well, how do you know Camino? It's been almost where she's my girlfriend. I've been dating, we used to date, and we, well, I met her and, um,
Starting point is 00:04:28 24th in February we dated for almost eight months then we separated for like a month and a half and we got back together when did you guys separate in what let me see it was in January 16 we separated the reason because obviously like I was in being like a good boyfriend you know let's say just you know entertaining other people etc and just uh you know she just didn't like that I was like being an oil so she was also talking to somebody else um so that's also like we found out and then she we just didn't told her okay maybe we were good to take a break because you're not being oil I'm not doing a lawyer so whatever and then after a month and a half she uh send me a request on Instagram on it because she did block me and then I'm like hey well I have you send me a request
Starting point is 00:05:28 Like, oh, I miss you. I'm like, yeah, I do miss you too. And then we started talking back together. That's it. Okay. And then how long have you guys been together since? Since we got after February, I think like almost last week of February or something. Yeah, last week of February.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I don't quite remember, but it was like a month of Saturday. After valentization, like I think a week after valentation. You guys, you were never married her only, right? No. Yeah. And then her daughter, you always want her to me and stuff? Yeah, every time, like, if she's just, she's always with her daughter, and every time we wait, we're together, like, if the daughter would come and sometimes if she,
Starting point is 00:06:16 if her mom take cares of her or whatever family, then we just do something all right. And the daughter knows you by, what name? Joey. By Joey? Yeah. Joy has confirmed that Camilla's daughter knows him and calls him joy, and there are amazing. red flags. Joy and Camilla broke up and she didn't want him around. Quick question. There was an injunction that she was going to put on you in court.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Injunction? Yeah, like stay away with it. So what happened was when I was with her, I mean, we separated. Like, I missed her. So I was trying to like, you know, as me being a man, like trying to get back with her. Sometimes, you know, like I would go up to her job, be like, hey, can we talk on her break time? Because I knew. what time her break was. Where's your? Target. What's the one in 80th Street?
Starting point is 00:07:06 On 80th Street. 80th Street. Oh, 802. 152, I think. It's just 803 and Kendall was. Yeah, that's gonna be the one-five. No, just, I'm not quite. A lot of, how much moodivar or whatever?
Starting point is 00:07:22 Yeah, yeah, I went that one over. So, like, sometimes I would go and then, I'm like, and then sometimes I would like also text her, be like, hey, you know, thinking about you, do you want some food? I can catch have you some food, et cetera, this and that. And then one time I went to Target, and then because I did buy her something for Valentany thing, and then she told her, like, you know, she's just going to focus on yourself and not talking to anyone.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Then I went to Target and that day she was off. That's why I went to Target. So that way, you know, we don't get interaction with each other on a Monday. But she would happen to be there as well because. her mom also worked there but I had to return myself that I got asked for her so I saw her over there and she was going to her firm like oh you're working today she said no I just think you get something I'm like oh okay well hi hope you're you know you're getting good but I went inside to return etc so those things that she saw she thought that I was following
Starting point is 00:08:21 so that's why she put a restraining order she also even lied on the restraining order saying that me and Joey broke up in the November 24, which it was a lie, because I had the text messages and the pictures and everything to prove because we spent in the year. So yeah, and then I would have taken it to the court to present it, but she never showed up. And then when we got back together, I'm like, why did you never show up? I just didn't talk to. I know if you just never showed up. So I just, I mean, I was like a little. Like, you know, I'll still like me. Like, yes, what they were gone. Joy goes on to explain that his family hadn't met Camilla.
Starting point is 00:09:03 He says it was due to cultural differences since he's Indian and she's Hispanic. Then the detectives ask about injuries they can see on Joy's face. And then, um, poor question, like, is bruising your shirt on your face or was it? I was just going like this. So that's why. No, but you're on this, like on your jean and stuff. Because I don't know if I just haven't slept there. And the scratches that you have on your, like on your nag and stuff and your hands?
Starting point is 00:09:30 Oh these I pick my nail, I pick my skin You know, like on your arm or your Oh this I have that I have that like as you can see it's eating I had the like so I won't yourself And I'll let me see your neck with that And the other thing Like scratch it when you have here and like here just bruising and sweating and then here like that you have more bruising Because I just put me in the ground and you shut my face when we tried me and tried to this way
Starting point is 00:10:01 like right now that's the team and stuff and then obviously like I also do physical training at the gym as well too like wrestling too so that could be from those all the last time you wrote today and also this morning that we and then we saw each other for a lured and then she went to Walmart how was time was around 10 or something, 10-ish. I mean, you know, she left the house by, no, like about 11-ish, like early 11-ish. Like 11-ish? What house?
Starting point is 00:10:40 Her house. Her house. Just to we dress a food breakfast. And then you guys met up, or did she go to your face? No, we just met up. What? We just met up at, um, at the Casabana, in, uh, by the Zoom Island. So on one-five, on one-five, um.
Starting point is 00:10:59 two and like one three seven yeah and then one five two one three seven then I told like look I also have to go to work at four I want to have time because I have to downtown it's a new job so we just got something quick and then she also had to get like diapers and white be for her daughter and then I'm like okay go on you when do you know that she was like when her brother called me what they were they told so they do uh they just The road, I'm like, what, what happened? Then I kept calling him and she's missing.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I also tried text, he got me. Like, where are you? FaceTime? No, he's answering. Her location is also turned off because we also share a location. And yeah. And then I called him again while I'm going to work at any news. Do you have any news?
Starting point is 00:11:54 And then he was like, no, we call the cops. I'm like, okay, good, like they're looking for the car. This, that's what he told me. And then, after I tried to try to try calling him again, when I got to work, he didn't pay back. And then, so at what time wasn't that you guys went to Casa Lama? It was like around. We didn't go inside Casabana.
Starting point is 00:12:16 We met up at the parking lot. We met up at the parking lot. And then we just got from Starbucks because if we sat down in Casabana, there wouldn't be enough time. And she also had to work at Ford. That way because she also had to leave the house early because she had to pick up her daughter to her mom, where she does almost every day.
Starting point is 00:12:37 And then we just got some rubber because, that's something quick, just going through the drive-thru, there's something quick. And I said, I left my way because I also have to get ready for work. She has to go to Walmart, which is another waste of time for her, and then she would have to go home to change and everything and go to work. Which star books for you guys with? It was the one in London Square. The one in London Square? Yeah. The detectives are locking joy into a story, and then ask whether they left in separate cars. The detectives already know that Camilla is Instead, she was found in the back of her car with stab wounds right by her daughter's car seat.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Then after that, were you guys in separate cars and the same car or was? So she went to the one in her car and I was in the parking lot. And then did you guys ever get together in the same car? Yeah, after that, after that, no, she came to my car. After she came to my car, because she also needed gas, she told me that her gas is on. I would say like, don't waste your AC because your gas is low. So we came to my car, just ate real quick the drink and the daughter in the back seat. And then we talked and stuff, we ate the food, and that's it.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Okay, then you guys wanted to work? Yeah. And last night, what were you guys trying to know? We, okay, so last night, after I got off work early, she told me she was at Dolphin Mom. So I'm like, are you with somebody or anything? She told me she was with her stepdad. I'm like, okay, cool. stepdad and then after she told me I was like look I'll be getting off like in 30
Starting point is 00:14:18 minutes so she was like okay after you're done for come over here at doctor mall I'm like is your stepdad really with you and who are you with Sebastian is the stepdad's friend I'm like okay cool so after he got off I went to dog and then after going to Dalton Mall I was there for a little bit we came outside and then we were in the car talking and then her brother called on FaceTime asked her some questions and then we were talking about Orlando turns. They bought their tickets, we have to buy our tickets, and then
Starting point is 00:14:49 I came home, sure. What relationship problems are you guys having to pass? That's the only thing that, where I was a bad person and then like not being... So no, no, no, nothing. Nothing crazy, like, or anything like that. No, no, no. Nothing crazy. Like, it was only me who I was talking to other girls,
Starting point is 00:15:07 and then, because I did that, she did entertain other guys. That's about it, which is nothing crazy because I was the one whose fault not being loyal to identify things we separated in the beginning. And then now when you guys, when you guys work together now, was she still talking to other people? That, I don't know, because I've been loyal on my side and she's been telling me, she's been doing good and I haven't been seeing anything on her side. And nobody's going to go over there. Are you talking to somebody else?
Starting point is 00:15:39 They are you talking to somebody else? Nobody does that. I don't, her actions were good for not, for me to question. Do you know where she might be or not? That I have no idea. That's why I'm trying to, I called him budget times. I called him bunch of times. That's why I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:15:56 And then when you went back to the house, why? And I go over there and towards her house. Because I wanted to see if they're, if their family's home, her brother's home to talk because her brother wasn't answering me. Any reason that you would go in there and then turn off the life or stuff? So I don't go into the complex
