a Florida man is facing murder charges after intentionally driving his semi into a strip joint.
One man was killed, two others injured at the Tampa Emperor's Gentleman's Club.
The motive, the suspect was angry he was kicked out.
The investigation by the Tampa Police Department revealed that the 25-year-old man had been ejected following a dispute with another patron.
The suspect then subsequently located a truck and then, while inside the several-ton vehicle, laid in wait for
the person they got into the fight with to come out. Here's Major Patrick Mesmer with the Tampa
Police Department. When that person exited the club, he accelerated his vehicle toward a group
of people.
Mesmer says there were more than a dozen people outside when this happened.
One person did lose their life instantly in the incident.
Two others were also hurt, but they are expected to recover.
Police have confirmed that all three victims were not even involved in the initial altercation that led to the suspect's removal from the establishment.
The driver of the semi, whose name has not been released, was also hurt and is currently hospitalized, said to be in critical condition.
Once released from treatment, though, the suspect will be arrested and faces several charges,
including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and DUI manslaughter.
Authorities are also still trying to determine how the suspect got access to the truck and if it belonged to him. For the latest crime and justice news, follow the Crime Alert hourly
