As many of you know, we here at Crime Online and Crime Stories, kick off a thrilling true crime TV event called 12 Dark Days of Serial Killers. For the next 12 days, Oxygen airs back-to-back premieres, specials, and season finales all themed around infamous, notorious, cold-blooded serial killers. And it all starts tonight with a season two premiere of Mark of a Killer.

Each episode of Mark of a Killer follows the story of an investigation guided by the killer's post-mortem, after death, signature. Let that soak in for a moment. The killer's post-mortem signature. Some killers steal mementos from their victims, jewelry, driver's licenses, shoes, keys, even body parts. Others leave something behind, a mark that offers a window into the killer's psyche. Thursday's premiere episode follows Twin Cities, Minnesota police as they hunt down a killer who confesses over the phone to a string of murderers and a creepy, chilling, high-pitched voice begging for forgiveness. No one can identify this guy until one woman survives a brutal attack.

Mark of a killer tonight, 9 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Pacific on Oxygen. But that's just the beginning. This Saturday, don't miss the season finale of The DNA of Murder with Paul Holes. You may remember Paul Holes as one of the investigators who cracks the Golden State killer case. The series follows Paul as he dives into unsolved homicides by analyzing the physical and emotional, quote, DNA left behind during violent interactions. On Saturday's season finale, an elementary school principal is discovered dead inside her home. Paul Holes investigates this shocking and provocative and brutal crime scene that sent shockwaves through a California town. The DNA of Murder with Paul Holt season one finale airs this Saturday at 7 p.m. Eastern Pacific on Oxygen.

Then, on Sunday, April 12, Oxygen will be airing Catching a Serial Killer, Sam Little, a two-hour special investigating Sam Little's trail of terror in hopes of finding out how this killer evaded capture and stymied investigators at every turn. Also, during the 12 Dark Days of Serial Killers event, the long-running hit series Snapped, takes a look at one of the most sensational serial killer cases in recent history. From 1993 to 2008, Michael Gargiulo stalked, befriended, and murdered three young women and attempted to kill a fourth. His victims were all charismatic, outgoing, and on the path to stardom.
