Instead, the eldest sibling, at just 15, found the courage to seek help. During sentencing, Williams expressed regret, but prosecutors highlighted her role in the trauma suffered by her children. In a dramatic turn of events, a Westchester County, New York judge has vacated the decades-old conviction of 67-year-old Jeffrey Kuntz. Kuntz was found guilty of armed robbery in 1983, but prosecutors now say his conviction was marred by flawed police tactics and unreliable witness testimony. The case stems from a 1981 robbery at the Vernon Stars Rod and Gun Club in Mount Vernon, where patrons were forced to the ground, robbed, and three were injured by shotgun fire. Koontz always maintained his innocence, and new evidence suggests he wasn't even there that night. An investigation by the District Attorney's Conviction Review Unit uncovered that police

Alibi witnesses who could have exonerated him, including a retired NYPD detective, were never interviewed. In court, DA Mimi Rocha said the conviction was, quote, tainted by questionable investigatory practices, and Judge James McCarty agreed, citing the weak evidence and improper procedures. However, the judge declined to make findings of police misconduct, calling them speculative. Jeffrey Kuntz thanked the court for what he called vindication for himself and his family. Among Jeffrey Kuntz's children is NFL player Malcolm Kuntz, who was drafted by the Raiders in 2021. Thanks, John.
