Crime Alert, I'm Nancy Grace. Breaking crime news now.
Sheila Kurtz and Emmett Williams hanging out at a friend's home get into an argument.
Kurtz goes to another room to cool off. Williams follows. When the friends argue again,
Williams pulls out a gun, shooting Kurtz in the head.
In an interview with police, Nancy, Williams said that he had
known Kurtz for several years and she frequently made antagonizing comments over the course of
their acquaintance. Williams also cited emotional issues and drug abuse as contributing factors to
the snap that led him to shoot nearly eight months pregnant Kurtz. Hours after, Williams calls 911
to turn himself in and then leads Missouri cops to a gun and clothing he hid in the woods.
Williams now charged with murder and possible charges for the death of Kurtz's unborn baby.
Zachary Mills makes a date with the woman he meets on a dating app. He takes the woman to his apartment, makes a sex advance.
When the woman says no, he refuses to let her leave.
Mills beats the woman for five days.
The woman detailed Mills' continuous assaults, describing Mills beating her with closed fists until his hands grew tired,
then grabbing a screwdriver and continuing to strike her with closed fists until his hands grew tired, then grabbing a screwdriver and continuing to
strike her with its handle. Mills also bit the victim several times on her face and neck and did
not allow her to have any food or water. The woman finally escapes and a good Samaritan calls 911.
Mills now charged with aggravated kidnap. An Iowa mom and her little boy go shopping in Des Moines
using the city's indoor corridors between buildings to stay out of the cold.
The mom sees the couple having trouble with an entrance and opens the door.
The couple, Lori Potter and Michael Ross, snatch the woman's child.
The mother and child were attacked in the Skywalk
where it passes through the Hubble Tower Apartments building.
Prior to the incident, both suspects each served time for several drug charges. Well, Mommy fights
Potter and Ross who let the boy go and they run. Cops ID the two off security footage. Both now
charged with attempted kidnap. That goes to prove it. No good deed goes unpunished. More crime and justice news after this.
Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Limley.
University of Idaho murder suspect Brian Koberger was unknown to the victims.
This, according to a lawyer for one of their families. The 28-year-old criminology Ph.D. student is accused of entering the home
of a group of sleeping University of Idaho undergrads
and stabbing four of them to death November 13th.
The ambush claimed the lives of Madison Mogan and 21-year-old best friends
Madison Mogan and Kaylee Gonsalves, their housemate, 20-year-old Zaina Kernodle,
and her boyfriend, 20-year-old Ethan Chapin, who was spending the night over. Shannon Gray,
the attorney for Gonsalves' parents, said, quote, no one knew about Koberger before the slayings.
A grand jury will determine whether a customer at a Houston restaurant will face charges
after fatally shooting a man who pointed a gun that appeared real to customers and took their cash last week,
a shooting that several legal experts say appears justified.
Following the shooting, late on January 5th, police asked for the public's help in identifying the man who fatally shot the robber
who wielded a plastic gun because he left the restaurant before officers arrived.
By Monday, police said they had questioned the 46-year-old man
after consulting with prosecutors determined that the shooting would be referred to a grand jury.
Police say they aren't releasing the man's name because
he has not been arrested or charged. A Minnesota man has been sentenced to 37 years in prison for
the shooting death of a tribal police officer. 30-year-old David Brian Donnell Jr. pleaded guilty
in April to second-degree murder and the killing of 37-year-old officer Ryan Bialke.
On July 27, 2021, Donnell opened fire at officers who were conducting a welfare check on him
at his home in Redby.
Officer Bialke was immediately struck by gunfire and died at the scene.
Donnell fired at least 22 shots at Officer Bialke
and four other Red Lake tribal police officers.
He eventually fled the scene and was arrested at a nearby residence.
A man accused of attacking police with a machete near New York's Times Square
on New Year's Eve is now facing federal terrorism charges
after he became determined to wage jihad
against the U.S. government. Attorney General Merrick Garland says that Trevor Thomas Bickford
has been charged with federal crimes in connection with his self-avowed jihad against U.S. government
officials and his knife attack on three police officers in Times Square.
Bickford was already charged with attempting to murder police officers,
assault and attempted assault in state court in Manhattan.
If convicted, he faces a mandatory life sentence.
A woman and her husband take a cruise around their Florida neighborhood on his and hers golf carts.
Neighbor Frank Delito, also in a golf cart,
speeds around the couple, blocking their path, forcing them to stop.
Delito, angry he thinks the couple's driving too slow,
shoves the woman out of her cart before driving off.
Delito, 62, old enough to know better, charged with battery.
