Allegations of child abuse leads to the arrest of a South Carolina special ed teacher. A witness tells cops Grace McGulgin leaves her class alone for hours at a time, hits students in the back of the head, has dumped a student out of a chair, and has rubbed hand sanitizer into one student's open wound. McGulkin, 60, caught on video punching a little girl in
Starting point is 00:00:34 class. The teacher will face charges, Nancy, in an upcoming preliminary hearing Friday for the treatment of her students. The school's principal will also face charges for failing to report the abuse. In addition to criminal charges, the victim's parents are suing the teacher seeking damages, but also a full account of the incidents their non-verbal children can't tell them about. McGulkin now facing six counts of child abuse and several lawsuits from parents. Brian Burnett offers to make some repairs in his neighbor's Texas home with a devious plan in mind. While fixing the problem in the woman's attic, he drills a small hole above her shower and installs a camera to spy on her.
Starting point is 00:01:20 The woman noticed a small hole in the bathroom ceiling and asked a friend to take a look in the attic where the camera was discovered. An SD card in the camera had more than 1,000 videos on it, several of which Nancy were exported and saved as favorites. Burnett now charged with video voyeurism and is banned from contacting the victim or entering her home. More crime and justice news after this. Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Limley. A gunman dressed as a lawyer shot and killed a prominent attorney inside a courtroom in northwestern Pakistan Monday. The attacker, who was arrested at the scene, had opened fire at Abdu Latif Afridi, a former president of Pakistan's Lawyers Union and a prominent figure in the community,
Starting point is 00:02:18 fatally wounding him. The attack took place at the High Court of Peshawar. The attacker, Adnan Khan, had previously accused Afridi of orchestrating the 2015 killing of his father, who was also a lawyer. It was unclear how the attacker managed to sneak into the court building with a handgun. Authorities searching for the body of a missing four-year-old Oklahoma girl have found the remains of a child. At this point, investigators have not identified them as Athena Brownfield, who was beaten to death Christmas night. Sidney Sumner with Crime Online. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says remains were found near Rush Springs, about 15 miles from where Athena Brownfield was reported missing. The child was allegedly beaten to death and buried by one of her caregivers, Ivan Adams. A postal carrier discovered the girl's five-year-old sister alone on January 10th
Starting point is 00:03:14 outside the home where they lived with Adams and his wife, Alicia Adams, in Searle, about 70 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. Alicia Adams later told investigators that Ivan Adams beat the child around midnight on December 25th. Yvonne Adams was arrested last week in Arizona on murder and child neglect charges and awaits extradition. Alyssa Adams is jailed in Oklahoma on child neglect charges after also being arrested last week. A shooter stood over a 16-year-old mother clutching her 10-month-old baby and pumped bullets into their heads in a brazen attack in a Central California farming community that left six dead at a home linked to drugs and guns.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Tular County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux says the teenager was fleeing the violence when the killers caught up to her outside the home in Goshen, a central California community of about 3,000 residents in the agricultural San Joaquin Valley. It was clear that the shooters stood over the top of the 16-year-old mother and fired rounds into her head. The 10-month-old infant also suffered from the same attack. The other four victims ranged from 19 to 72 years old, including a grandmother who was shot as she slept. Their autopsies are expected to be completed later in the week. Authorities say they're still searching for two suspects
Starting point is 00:04:41 and offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to their arrest. A failed political candidate who authorities say was angry over his defeat and made baseless claims the election last November was rigged against him has been arrested in connection with a series of drive-by shootings targeting the homes of lawmakers in New Mexico's largest city. Once again, Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. 39-year-old Solomon Pena was arrested just hours after SWAT officers took him into custody and served search warrants at his home. Albuquerque police described Pena as the mastermind of what they say appears to be a politically motivated conspiracy, leading to shootings at the homes
Starting point is 00:05:23 of two county commissioners and two state legislators between early December and early January. No one was injured in the shootings, but in one case, three bullets passed through the bedroom of a state senator's 10-year-old daughter. Patrick Abbott enters a Florida Publix and hands an employee a note that he, quote, has a gun and wants cash. The employee hands the note back and pretends to help another employee, but really calls for help. Abbott, 31, arrested. It's revealed his gun is really a stapler.
