Nancy, the children were in the car with the thief for about 10 minutes before making their escape and flagging down help.

In Minnesota, a state trooper charged with murder and the death of Ricky Cobb II has
made his first court appearance. A judge ruled that Trooper Ryan
Londrigan will be allowed to remain free until trial without bail under the conditions he
surrender his passport and refrain from contact with witnesses and the victim's family. The
hearing came days after Londrigan was charged with second-degree unintentional murder,
first-degree assault, and second-degree manslaughter. Londrigan responded as backup to a traffic stop on I-94 in
Minneapolis. Two troopers stopped Cobb for non-functional lights and discovered there
was a warrant for Cobb's arrest in neighboring Ramsey County. Cobb was wanted for violating
a protection order. Trooper Londrigan and fellow officer Brett Seed approached each side of Cobb's
car and informed him he was under arrest. Cobb ignored Londrigan's orders to
get out of the car, shifted into drive, and let his foot off the brake. The car began to slowly
move forward, and Londrigan pulled his weapon and pointed it at Cobb. Cobb briefly stopped,
but again ignored orders to get out and took his foot off the brake. In less than a second,
Londrigan fired two shots, striking Cobb in the chest. Cobb died at the scene.
In a court document filed by defense attorney Chris Medell,
Seed stands by Londrigan's use of deadly force, stating,
I knew that Trooper Londrigan and I were in danger of being run over by Cobb's car,
being hit by an oncoming car on the highway,
or otherwise being dragged away at a high rate of speed.
Leaving the courtroom, Cobb's sister, Octavia Ruffin,
told our friends with the Associated Press,
We're coming respectfully.
Justice for Ricky Cobb II.
We will get that.
With more, here's Crime Online's John Lemley.
A judge has ruled that a man will go on trial
for his suspected killing of a synagogue leader in Detroit,
a woman whose body was discovered in October outside her residence.

28-year-old Michael Jackson Bolanos faces allegations of murder,
home invasion, and lying to the police. Judge Kenneth King of Detroit's 36th District Court
determined that there is sufficient evidence to hand him over to circuit court. King also
included a charge of first-degree premeditated
murder. Jackson Bolanos is charged with killing Samantha Wall by stabbing her to death. The
homicide gained media attention due to its timing during the current Israel-Hamas conflict,
raising suspicions that it was related to the war. But even before Jackson Bolanos was taken
into custody, the notion was disproved by the authorities on several occasions. According to
Kim Worthy, the Wayne County prosecutor, there is not even a shred of evidence that Wall's death
was caused by anti-Semitism or a hate crime, adding that the two did not know one another.
Wall served as president of Detroit's Isaac Agri Downtown Synagogue. The 40-year-old was
discovered dead outside her home east of downtown just hours after attending a wedding earlier in the day. Investigators suspect the attack occurred inside her home. In November,
another person was first arrested by police but was later released. Charges against Jackson
Bolanos, a resident of Detroit, were filed in December. Thanks, John. Harold and Aquila Degree
send their two children to bed 8 p.m. and check on them for the last time to 30 a.m.
to make sure thunderstorms are not keeping them awake.
When it's time to get up for school,
Asha Degree, 9, is missing from their Shelby, North Carolina home.
Also gone, her favorite clothes and school bag.
Early that morning, a truck driver spots Asha walking on the side of Highway 18 in pouring rain.
Concerned, he turns around and asks if she needs help.
She runs into the woods.
She's never been seen again.
Police find her hair bow in a shed along the highway, but no Asha.
More than a year later, police find her school bag wrapped in a plastic bag 30 miles north of Shelby.
Inside was a Dr. Seuss book from her school's library and a New Kids on the Block t-shirt.
Asha did not have either item when she left.
Asha Degree would now be 33 years old. If you have info on Asha Degree, call the FBI 704-672-6100.
