Anthony Sierra, 26, offers to babysit a friend's nine-month-old baby boy while the parents go to work. When mommy picks up the baby, the baby's breathing is very labored. The baby seems spaced out and there's a new bruise inside the baby's right arm. Next morning, the child not breathing at all. At the hospital, doctors suspect abuse. Nancy, Sierra is a co-worker and good friend of both parents.
Starting point is 00:00:32 He offered to babysit on his day off when they learned they were scheduled for the same shift. At first, Sierra denies any abuse but says he did bounce the child on his knee. Later, Sierra says he dropped the car seat with the child in it on the front porch steps. He says the car seat landed on its side and the child appeared to be fine. Autopsy shows injuries consistent with blunt force trauma to the head. Antony, Cira, please guilty to second degree reckless homicide. Samurai warrior on aisle three, Ravi Saxena, 43, scares Walmart customers as he's wielding a samurai sword, yelling and threatening to hurt people. The store is evacuated while cops search for the samurai warrior, but he surrenders without incident. Police confiscate the sword and a five-inch

Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Limley. A Tennessee sheriff is reporting that a suspect is now in custody. The man suspected of killing a deputy and injuring another during a traffic stop. With more, here's Sydney Sumner with Crime Online. According to posts on social media by Blount County Sheriff James Lee Barong, 42-year-old Kenneth Wayne DeHart was discovered in Knoxville, around 17 miles from his last identified location. A photo of multiple vehicles and people appearing to be law enforcement officers dressed in tactical gear surrounding a house accompanied the post. Authorities say
Starting point is 00:02:01 DeHart is suspected of killing 43-year-old Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan and injuring 22-year-old Deputy Shelby Eggers during a traffic check. Warrants were issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation accusing DeHart of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and being a felon possessing a handgun. Deputies initially stopped the driver on suspicion of erratic driving, and officials recognized DeHart as the man behind the wheel. A new statement from the TBI reveals that DeHart refused to exit the SUV, and the use of a stun gun proved ineffective. The complaint also stated that the motorist brandished a gun and opened fire, hitting both deputies. DeHart drove off after at least one deputy reportedly returned fire. Authorities had classified DeHart as armed and dangerous, so responding officers called in other law enforcement organizations to join in the hunt. Over the weekend, the reward for information that led to DeHart's apprehension increased to $100,000. As law enforcement continued their search for DeHart, a photo of the suspect was shown on billboards across the southeast. Starting point is 00:03:05 of a man who had sexually abused her and several little girls has now been apprehended in Louisiana. 23-year-old Milwaukee native Crystal Kaiser was arrested by U.S. Marshals. According to online jail records, she was being housed at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. In June 2018, Kaiser was released on a $400,000 bond and awaited trial for the Kenosha death of 34-year-old Randall Vollar III. After a Boston judge dismissed family's complaints accusing Harvard Medical School of negligence regarding the theft of loved one's body parts from the institution's morgue, the family's attorney has now promised
Starting point is 00:03:45 to file an appeal. Once again, Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. Judge Kenneth Salinger of Suffolk County Superior Court stated that the claims filed by the relatives of donors could not prove Harvard was accountable for the actions of its morgue manager, who was charged with theft in the case. According to the attorney for the families, Catherine Barnett, her clients aren't done battling in the courts. Barnett says that 12 different lawsuits filed by the 47 families of individuals who gave their bodies for donation were combined. A Harvard representative announced that the university will not comment on the judge's ruling. Barnett criticized Salinger's decision, claiming that he gave Harvard's defense that they behaved honorably and shouldn't be held accountable too much weight. Although the families are in favor of body donation for scientific
Starting point is 00:04:29 purposes, Burnett stated that her clients think accepting institutions should be doing more to guarantee that the remains are being handled with care. Judge Salinger used Harvard's, quote, qualified immunity under the state's Uniform Anatomical Gift Act as justification for his ruling. Thanks, John. Chalice left behind a jacket and other belongings, and her phone stopped pinging at 1230 a.m. Chalice's youngest child's first birthday has come and gone.
