Brad Markham approaches an elderly stranger, makes conversation briefly, then suddenly douses the elder in gasoline and sets him on fire before running away. Bystanders use water to put out the flames. The man rushed to the hospital with life-threatening burns. Nancy, the girl's grandmother told police that she had previously run away for brief periods of time,

Starting point is 00:01:14 Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Limley. Nine people have been hospitalized following an early morning shooting in a nightclub area of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. However, authorities report there were no fatalities. Just before 2.30 a.m. Sunday, as the clubs were beginning to close, someone in the warehouse district opened fire on a crowd of people. Early police information reveals that the culprit then ran off. Cleveland Police Chief Wayne Drummond says that seven men and two women,
Starting point is 00:01:45 aged 23 to 38, were wounded. Drummond stated that one of the men was critically hurt while the others sustained only minor injuries. A motive for the shooting is still being investigated. No arrests have been announced. The remains of a Minnesota woman missing for two years have been discovered in a storage unit. St. Paul police say that her death has been connected to a man charged after another woman's dismembered body was discovered in a different storage facility in another Minneapolis suburb. With more, here's Sydney Sumner with Crime Online. 40-year-old Joseph Jorgensen had already been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Manny Starin. However, our friends with the Minneapolis Star Tribune report Jorgensen has not yet been prosecuted in connection with Fanta Saevang's killing. While Starin's body was discovered last month in a storage container in Woodbury, Saevang's body was discovered in a storage unit in Coon
Starting point is 00:02:38 Rapids. After authorities linked Jorgensen to the Coon Rapids storage facility, St. Paul Police Sergeant Mike Ernster said Jorgensen is a, quote, person of interest in the death of 33-year-old Saivong. Detectives are currently investigating any potential connections between Jorgensen and other missing individuals. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says that Saivong was allegedly involved in an abusive relationship with Jorgensen prior to her disappearance in July of 2021. According to the police, Starin and Jorgensen had a relationship before her death.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Last week, investigators searched a house where Jorgensen lived up until last September. Chief Ernster stated that investigators have not yet established the location or time of Saivong's death. In new court documents, Florida prosecutors have outlined their case for pursuing the death penalty against a plastic surgeon accused of killing a lawyer and disposing of his body in the Everglades. Authorities say that Dr. Tomasz Kozowski killed attorney Stephen Cozy in the restroom of Cozy's law office just moments after the two of them spoke on a conference call March 21 to discuss a protracted contentious legal dispute over medical billing. Prosecutors claim in new court filings that
Starting point is 00:03:51 Kozofsky made the call from a Toyota pickup truck parked outside the office and that he had everything he needed to carry out the murder, including trash bags, a syringe filled with a poison that would paralyze the man, and a wagon for moving the body. Tina Sinclair, 34, and teen daughter Bethany live with Tina's boyfriend Eugene Bowman Jr. Sinclair and Bowman get in an argument. Bowman leaves to cool off. When Eugene Bowman returns, it seems Tina and Bethany have packed up and left. Tina's car has a flat. It's left behind along with Bethany's cat and other personal belongings. A week later, Bethany's school calls New Hampshire police about her absences. The two are then reported missing. Eugene Bowman Jr. questioned but claims
Starting point is 00:04:38 he did not report them missing because he thought they'd be back. Neighbors report seeing Bowman on his boat on the Connecticut River around 4 a.m. the day of the argument.
