Crime Alert, I'm Nancy Grace. Breaking crime news now. A woman gets lost in a Missouri neighborhood,
pulls into a driveway to get her bearings. As she pulls in, the homeowner, a convicted felon,
Eric Kellan, starts shooting at her. She ducks down, tries to put the car in reverse,
but is struck with shattered glass. Unable to see, she gets out of the car,
tries to run, but trips and falls to the ground, breaking her knee. Nancy, as a result of his
felon status from a 2012 drug conviction, Kellen is legally prohibited from owning guns. It's
unknown how Kellen came to be in possession of a weapon. Neighbors called 911, but when cops
arrived, a family member said Kellen had just left the property.
Cops eventually tracked Kellen down, and he admits to the shooting, claiming he thought the driver was trying to steal his car.
Kellen, 36, now facing assault and gun charges.
Jesse Smith spots an unsecured excavator at a construction site, decides to take it for a joyride.

the excavator, taking out several power poles with the bucket as he drives down the street.
He ends the joyride at Walmart, where he busts through the exterior wall,
damaging the excavator so severely it won't operate. Smith, 47, charged with grand theft,
trespass, property damage, and criminal mischief.
Clean up on aisle five.

Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Limley.
A 14-year-old white boy who was indicted last month in Massachusetts on counts of attempted murder and assault after it was
discovered that he allegedly tried to drown a black teenager in a pond on Cape Cod has now
been released to his father. With details, here's Sydney Sumner with Crime Online. The teenager was
instructed to remain in custody without bail following a hearing in Barnstable Juvenile Court
last month. The 14-year-old's attorney,
Kevin Reddington, stated that the boy will live with his father, follow curfews, and wear a GPS
tracker. The teens, according to Reddington, were friends, and a fight between the two spiraled out
of control. According to Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Gallibois, the incident unfolded
on July 19 at Goose Pond in Chatham, where the 14-year-old met up there with the
alleged victim in another minor. Investigators say that following their encounter, the 14-year-old
white male juvenile picked up a stone, threatened the black teen, and used a racial epithet to
address him. The black teen put on a life jacket and informed the others that he couldn't swim
before getting into the water, this according to authorities. Prosecutors claim that once in the
water, the 14-year-old pulled on the victim's life jacket, submerging him four to five times
and causing breathing problems. They also claim that the third juvenile laughed at the black teen,
calling him George Floyd. Investigators say that the 14-year-old then dove behind the black child
and attempted to grab hold of his feet in an effort to drag him under the water. A bystander on the beach stepped in to stop the incident.
Overseas now, as five people have been arrested by Bosnian police on suspicion of taking part
in the July 1995 genocide at Srebrenica, in which Bosnian Serb forces massacred over 8,000
men and boys during the inter-ethnic conflict in the Balkan nation.
According to a statement from Bosnia's State Investigation and Protection Agency,
officers also carried out searches and confiscations during the operation in a
number of cities in Republika Srpska, a Serb-run region that makes up nearly half of Bosnia.
The Bosnian news portal Klix is reporting that those
detained were former Bosnian Serb army officials and troops accused of aiding in the capture and
execution of over 70 men, boys, and women during the massacre. As the Swiss church becomes the
latest in Europe to deal with the Catholic sexual abuse scandal, a comprehensive year-long examination of
abuse by priests and others in Switzerland has identified more than 1,000 cases since the mid-20th
century. Once again, Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. Almost all of those accused of misconduct were
male, and almost three-fourths of the papers analyzed revealed that minors were involved in
the sexual abuse.
The report, commissioned by the Swiss Conference of Bishops and overseen by two University of Zurich historians,
takes a close look at the sexual abuse and harassment that has plagued the Catholic Church globally in recent decades,
upsetting the lives of many victims and their families and tarnishing the institution's reputation.
In a statement, the authors of the report claim to
have found 1,002 situations of sexual abuse in the Swiss church, including allegations against
510 individuals. They claim that 921 people were impacted. The researchers combed through thousands
of pages of classified records that church authorities had compiled since the mid-20th
century, although they also added that a lot of the information
sources have not been thoroughly examined. Researchers also say they identified some
instances where records were allegedly destroyed to hide wrongdoing. Brooks Hawk turns over and
goes to sleep next to his wife, Crystal Rogers, who stays up reading. When he gets up the next
morning, she's gone. Two days later, the mother of five's car
found abandoned in a part of town Rogers rarely visits. Her purse and cell phone inside. Police
initially suspect foul play from the husband. His brother, Nick Hawk, fired from the Bardstown
Police Force for his behavior during the investigation into Crystal's disappearance,
and he fails the polygraph. Others connected to
husband Brooks Hawk have been charged with perjury, false reporting, most recently murder
conspiracy and concealing evidence in connection with Crystal Rogers' disappearance. Crystal now
missing over five years. If you have info on Crystal Rogers, please contact Nelson County Sheriff's 502-348-1840.
