Crime Alert. I'm Nancy Grace. Breaking crime news now.
Darius Madelwich chats with an 11-year-old girl on multiple online games.
Madelwich convinces the girl to meet him, then kidnaps her.
Madelwich drives the child 139 miles, crossing state lines from Jersey to Delaware.
Hours later, police track him down in Delaware and find the girl safe. Praise the Lord.
Nancy, we're learning that the girl briefly went missing about a month prior when she snuck out to
meet Madelwich in person for the first time. After that incident, the girl's mother took
away her cell phone and computer but still allowed her to use family devices to play games.
The two continued to communicate over the online game Roblox.
The girl's brother initially thought she was leaving for school,
but called their mother at work when he realized it was a weekend.
She immediately reported her daughter missing, turning over her electronics to cops.
When police located Madelwich with the girl,
he told them she begged him to take her away from her home and was simply trying to help her.
Madelwich arrested on charges ofnap and endangering a child.
A flight from Panama City to Tampa returned to Panama after reports of a possible bomb on board.
The plane was moved to an isolated stretch of the tarmac. 144 passengers deplane. The
anti-explosive team inspects the aircraft and a suspicious object was found in one of the bathrooms.
It turns out to be an adult diaper. What a relief. The bomb squad was so dependable. That's a bomb,
all right, but not the kind they were looking for. More crime and justice news after this.
Now with the latest crime and justice breaking news, Crime Online's John Lindley.
We begin in Massachusetts, where two more people have been taken into custody in connection to a
shooting in Holyoke in which a pregnant woman riding a bus was hit by gunfire, killing her
unborn child. With more, here's Sydney Sumner with Crime Online. All five suspects have now
been identified in connection to the deadly incident. One is still wanted, while the other four have been apprehended. According to a press statement from the Hampton
County District Attorney's Office, 29-year-old J. Marie Rosado Rosario was charged with accessory
after the fact, and her bail was set at $5,000. November 17th is now set as her next court date.
31-year-old Jose Galarza was arraigned on the same accusation. Galarza and Rosado Rosario are
charged with aiding Kermit Alvarez, a 28-year-old Holyoke resident who has also been flagged as a
suspect. The woman who was shot is still recovering in an area hospital. Prosecutors named the five
individuals connected with the shooting on October 4. Holyoke residents 30-year-old John
Luis Sanchez and 22-year-old Alejandro Ramos were arraigned
earlier on charges of murder. Sanchez was hospitalized after being shot during the
altercation. They both entered not guilty pleas. According to police who responded to the shooting
scene, three male suspects seemed to be engaged in an altercation before shots were fired.
The pregnant woman was shot while sitting on a public bus traveling through the neighborhood.
Investigators say she was rushed to a hospital and is now in critical condition.
The baby was delivered in the same hospital but died sometime later.
Special prosecutors have announced that they intend to prosecute actor Alec Baldwin with
involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of a cinematographer on a Western
film set in New Mexico two years ago.
Prosecutors Jason Lewis and Carrie Morrissey of New Mexico announced they'll present evidence
to a grand jury in the next two months, citing, quote, additional facts regarding the October
2021 fatal shooting during production of the movie Rust. Baldwin, the film's co-producer,
was pointing a revolver at cinematographer Helena Hutchins
during a rehearsal on the set outside Santa Fe when the gun fired,
killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Sousa.
A man has been charged with a misdemeanor after he entered the Wisconsin capital with a loaded handgun
and demanded to meet Governor Tony Evers.
After posting bond, the man returned a few hours later with an assault
weapon. Once again, Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. 43-year-old Joshua Plesnik stands accused of
bringing a handgun into a public building on October 4th. Plesnik entered the Capitol shirtless,
carrying a holstered handgun and leading his dog on a leash. He then went to the governor's office
and requested to speak with Evers, who wasn't in the building at the time.
Plesnik was detained that afternoon for illegally carrying a weapon in public.
According to the State Department of Administration, Plesnik returned to the Capitol after posting bail that evening with an AK-style semi-automatic rifle.
Even though the building was closed at that point, Plesnik insisted on seeing the governor and was once more brought into custody. A criminal complaint states that Plesnik told a police officer he didn't want to use the gun,
but he wanted to talk to Evers about men who are abused by women and don't get support from the government.
Later, Plesnik told police he didn't realize he wasn't supposed to be carrying a gun,
but he did so out of caution in case his ex-girlfriend tried to hurt him. Donita Wilkerson, mom of six,
notorious for her spicy dishes and random phone calls to family members just to brighten their
day. Donita mentions to friends she's afraid for her life after getting threatening texts from an
ex-boyfriend. She eventually has enough and tells her teen girl she'll be right back, leaving her
brother's home to confront the man at an Evansville,
Indiana motel. At the motel, she's seen on surveillance getting into a gray Suburban that drives off. Donita has not been seen or heard from since. Her cell phone pings several
times around Carbondale, two hours west, but the phone is then shut off by the next morning.
More than two years later, her family still clings to the hope
Donita Wilkerson will be found safe. There's a $5,000 reward for information. If you know
anything about Donita Wilkerson's disappearance, please call Evansville PD 812-436-7979.
Repeat, 812-436-7979.
