Cynthia Elliott, 15, spends a quiet evening home alone until four men open fire on the home, killing the teen girl. Neighbors call 911 after hearing shots. Nebraska cops find Elliott dead inside. Shell casings littering the yard. Nancy, Omaha police say it's too early in their investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting or if Elliott was the intended target. The four suspects are young men with no known connection to the victim. Elliott's mother is devastated by the loss and has not returned home since the shooting.

Cash Davis, Jarius Hill, Selassie Spencer, Latrell Washington now facing weapons charges and murder one. Ashley Waffle on the job as an Oklahoma high school teacher, just one month when the 22-year-old's fired. A rumor Waffle is having sex with a student, that's called statutory rape, makes its way to school officials. Police find out it's true. That's right. Waffle began communicating with a 16-year-old student over Snapchat just one week after starting work at Granite Public School. The woman allegedly met the boy at her home twice before Oklahoma police began their investigation. The district superintendent wrote in a letter to parents that the school is aware of Ms. Waffle's arrest,
Starting point is 00:01:30 but will not comment on the matter further. Waffle invited a teen student to her home for sex twice, now facing two counts of rape. Emily Hammerly tells staff at a Missouri daycare to, quote, remind students we don't talk like that, after a five-year-old girl tells them Hammerly's 18-year-old son molested her in the bathroom. An investigation reveals Joseph Hammerly regularly abusing students. Little Learner's daycare was promptly closed when the investigation began after the staff member,
Starting point is 00:02:04 appalled at Hammerley's response, called the girls' parents anyway. Court documents state both Joseph and Emily would face charges for the crimes themselves and failure to report them. Both Hammerley's mother and son pled guilty to multiple charges. Joseph Hammerley to spend nine years behind bars on statutory sodomy with a child less than 14. Emily Hamerly gets four years probation for endangering the welfare of a child. Snyder, who left office in 2019, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of willful neglect of duty. He was the first person in state history to be charged for alleged crimes related to service as governor. Snyder also is the eighth person to have a Flint water case thrown out after the Supreme Court's unanimous June opinion.

Investigators believe one victim was shot during an armed robbery around 7.15 p.m., while the other was killed around 9 p.m. A Kansas man has been charged in the 1980 shooting death of a 23-year-old neighbor after investigators who re-examined her death turned up new evidence. Kansas Bureau of Investigation officers arrested 68-year-old Stephen Hanks on a charge of second degree murder and the death of Mary Robin Walter, a wife, mother, and nursing school student. The KBI decided to reopen the investigation back in April into the January 24, 1980 murder. The killing happened
Starting point is 00:04:46 at a trailer park near the airport in Great Bend, a city in central Kansas. Hanks is currently jailed on a $500,000 bond. A judge has dismissed criminal charges against former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder in the Flint water crisis. This comes months after the state Supreme Court said indictments returned by a one-person grand jury were invalid. Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. 22-year-old Tramell Lamar Williams of Cambridge is charged with first and second degree murder and other related crimes. Williams was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital when he was shot Friday night. Then he realizes the only one in the truck is a dog. The car was left running to keep the dog cool while owners went inside. The dog's leash caught on the shifter, putting the truck in drive.
