Ryan Sanders breaks into an elderly woman's home, chokes her, and sex assaults her. Sanders then loads the woman and her valuables into the trunk of her car, tools around Vegas a while, takes her to an abandoned RV, assaults her again, and knocks the old lady unconscious. Nancy Sanders originally loaded the victim into her Chrysler, then changed his mind, putting her instead in her Honda.
Starting point is 00:00:37 His stops included Desert View Hospital and a Mexican restaurant. Sanders then returned to the victim's neighborhood and put a tarp over the woman's Honda before forcing her into the RV, raping her, and using a heavy object to knock her out. When the poor woman wakes up the next day, she goes to neighbors for help. Sanders caught trying to sell her car.
Starting point is 00:01:00 The 37-year-old now charged with kidnap, attempted murder, burglary, sex assault, and battery. Good reddits. Two LAPD officers rush to a call, lights and sirens on, but a dark-colored sedan speeds toward them on the wrong side of the road. Cops maneuver out of a head-on collision, but the driver, Jose Lopez, intentionally swerves toward them, ramming the cop car.
Starting point is 00:01:24 The officers were on their way to a call reporting a man with a gun when Lopez sped straight toward their patrol car. The crash put both officers in the hospital, and investigators determined that Lopez intentionally caused the accident, but did not reveal why. Lopez, 21, charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Starting point is 00:01:58 After a month-long trial and nine days of deliberations, Los Angeles jurors have found Harvey Weinstein guilty of the rape and sexual assault of just one of the four accusers he's charged with abusing. But the three guilty counts involving an Italian actor and model known at the trial as Jane Doe One still struck a major blow against the disgraced movie mogul and provided another Me Too moment of reckoning five years after he became a magnet for the movement. He was found guilty of rape,
Starting point is 00:02:45 forced oral copulation, and another sexual misconduct count involving the woman who says he appeared uninvited at her hotel room door during a Los Angeles film festival in 2013. Weinstein was acquitted of a sexual battery allegation made by a massage therapist who treated him at a hotel in 2010. Jewish Americans are closely following the recent upsurge in anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions with a mix of anxiety and resolve, along with a yearning that a broader swath of Americans, including leaders across the political spectrum, speak out against anti-Jewish hatred. The rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, expressed love for Adolf Hitler in an interview,

Amid this recent surge of anti-Semitism, there have been expressions of outrage and vows to combat hate from an array of prominent politicians, including President Joe Biden, as well as leaders of major Jewish organizations. Doug Imhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, hosted a White House discussion with Jewish leaders on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:03:59 However, several Jewish Americans interviewed by our friends with the Associated Press say strong statements against anti-Semitism are needed from a broader range of civic and political leaders. Sam Bankman-Fried may be ready to come to the U.S. to face criminal charges related to the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX following a chaotic court appearance in the Bahamas. Crime Online's Sydney Sumner. A lawyer for Bankman Freed was quoted as saying the disgraced FTX founder has agreed to be extradited to the United States. A court hearing was stopped earlier when his attorney said it was premature for him to stand before the court. Jerome Roberts, a local defense

It was not immediately clear when Bankman Freed's extradition could occur. A suspected serial burglar has been caught attempting to poach Christmas presents from actor Robert De Niro's Manhattan home. Officers had been tracking the real-life Grinch amid a string of recent robberies and saw her burst into the Star's townhouse around 2.45 a.m. Monday. Inside, they found a 30-year-old woman in the living room attempting to remove property and arrested her. Police have not publicly identified her by name. De Niro, who had been upstairs, came down to the living room as the

Hassan Choker, in court on charges of ethnic intimidation, screams and cusses at a judge during video arraignment. After he learns Bond is set at $1 million.
