Columbia police say 35-year-old Nicholas Ayers called dispatchers on August 12, claiming his girlfriend, 37-year-old Destiny Dunn, was unresponsive in a motel room. Ayer's claim Dunn fell after an altercation in the shower, but admitted to dispatchers, it looks like I effing beat her up, and I promise to God I didn't do it. Officers arrived to find Dunn dead, suffering from severe facial and neck bruising, swollen eyelids, and traumatic injuries.

According to court documents, neighbors heard physical fighting around 11 that morning. A search of Air's cell phone uncovered recordings showing Ayers repeatedly punching and slapping Dunn days prior, grabbing her hair and knocking her down. On the afternoon of her death, video captured Dunn barely moving in a bathtub while Ayers paced, stating he had to call authorities because he was not going down for manslaughter. Ares briefly called 911 at 1221 p.m. only to claim it was accidental and hang up. He waited three hours before calling back. Police also noted defensive wounds on Ayer's wrist and torso. Ayers is scheduled to appear in court September 2nd and remains held without bond, as Dunn's sister,

The pair allegedly made regular trips to Philadelphia and New York to transport large quantities of cocaine to state college. Investigators say members of Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities cut, packaged, and distributed the cocaine directly inside their frat houses.
