I'm Jennifer Gould. A Bradenton Medical Lab became a blood-spattered tomb.
When a security guard decided that if he could not possess his ex-girlfriend, the grave would.
Keith Roberts, Jr., 29, is facing first-degree murder and attempted murder charges
after a calculated execution that left a young mother dead and her co-worker riddled with bullets.
Bradenton Police Chief Josh Kramer spoke to Fox 13.
The cruelty and the evil that Keith Roberts portrayed yesterday can never be forgiven.
The depravity unfolded at 1245 p.m. when Roberts, a guard at Manatee Memorial Hospital,
walked through an unlocked door at a medical complex on 4th Avenue Circle East in Bradenton, Florida.
He didn't hesitate. He walked straight to the desk of his ex.
year old Michellea Burnham. Armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, Roberts unleashed a point-blank blast
directly into Burnham's face killing the mother of his young son instantly. As the smoke cleared,
he turned his sights on Summer Freytag 26, an innocent coworker who was simply sitting at an adjoining
desk. Roberts pumped four rounds from a 40-caliber pistol into Freightag, hitting her
in the chest both arms and her leg, leaving her in critical condition, before firing additional
rounds into Burnham's lifeless body. Freytag described as a quote-unquote living miracle survived
after first responders applied three emergency tourniquets at the scene. The most bone-chilling
details emerged in a newly unsealed affidavit after being captured by Manatee County deputies
just 20 minutes later, Roberts did not beg for mercy, he bragged.
Breonna Fisher, Michelle's sister, spoke to Tampa Bay 28.
Reading his words to the police, it's made me feel even more distraught.
Roberts admitted to plotting the murder for two years, ever since they're split,
driven by a history of domestic violence and toxic jealousy.
He told detectives that the quote-unquote clarity
to kill came after a two-hour talk where Burnham refused to reconcile. The affidavit
chillingly states, quote, even if he could do today over again, he would still kill Burnham, end
quote. Roberts claims his quote-unquote breaking point was the simple fact that he didn't want her to be
with anyone else. Currently held without bail, Roberts is scheduled for arraignment on February 13th.

this. A brilliant Florida anesthesiologist and mom of two met a bone-chilling end after she was
allegedly abandoned to freeze to death inside a Miami dollar tree. This woman spoke to WSVN News.
I would never believe in a dollar tree. You will find a dead body in the dollar tree.
Dr. Helen Massiel Garay Sanchez 32 was found naked.
and dead inside a walk-in freezer at the Little Havana location on southwest 8th Street,
sparking a massive $50 million lawsuit that paints a picture of staggering corporate negligence.
When the store was shuttered on a Saturday night last December,
Sanchez remained trapped in a restricted employee-only freezer hidden away
as the temperature plummeted to lethal levels.
The details are nothing short of a nightmare.
The dollar tree.
Something advice she found a nude female in the cooler of the store.
Correction in the freezer.
A 911 dispatcher reported that a naked female had been discovered by an employee in the store's cooler.
Police scanner audio captured the grisly reality.
Sanchez had somehow made her way to the back storage room before the store closed,
but she never made it out.
The lawsuit filed in late January levels a bombshell accusation against store manager Yenelkis Gonzalez,
claiming he was placed on actual notice that Sanchez was missing and had not exited the building.
Instead of springing into action, Gonzalez allegedly instructed an employee, quote,
not to review the surveillance footage, end quote, when asked by a concerned individual to help locate the
Missing doctor, the legal complaint slams dollar tree for failing to maintain basic safety alleging
the walk-in freezer lacked a functional internal emergency release or alarm.
Sanchez, a specialist in congenital heart disease who dedicated her life to saving children,
was left to die alone in the dark.
While Miami PD currently suspects no foul play, detectives are investigating if mental health
or personal issues played a role in her entering the restricted area.
The family, though, insists the store's failure to conduct a proper closing sweep,
turned a routine shopping trip into a death sentence.
Sanchez leaves behind two children in Nicaragua.
And finally, talk about a recipe for murder of all things.
Santiago Piano Sanchez just replaced his apron for a prison jumpsuit
after a half-baked argument over who would cook dinner, ended in a triple-shooting massacre.
The 64-year-old was just served two-life sentences for the senseless bloodbath and meal melee.
When the spat turned sour, Piano Sanchez just didn't walk away from the kitchen quarrel.
Instead, he pulled out a gun, blasted his wife while she sat defenseless in her wheelchair.
He then gut-shot his son and executed his wife's,
74-year-old aunt upstairs.
Facing a menu of felonies, he's now parked behind bars forever.
This horrific tragedy proves that when you let a petty beef simmer into a murderous rage,
the only thing left on the table is a lifetime of regret and a cold cell.
