The family of U.S. conservative activist Charlie Kirk came face to face on Monday with his alleged killer
as prosecutors laid out their preliminary case against 23-year-old Tyler Robinson.
This court hearing is set to continue all week, featuring witness testimony and critical evidence to
determine whether Robinson will stand trial for murder. Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA,
was fatally shot on September 10, 2025 on the Utah Valley University campus, initiating an
intense manhunt. Robinson was arrested days later on multiple charges, including murder. While he
has not entered a plea, prosecutors seek the death penalty. In advance of Monday's proceedings,
Kirk's family, including his widow, Erica, his parents, Robert and Catherine, and sister Mary,
released an emotional statement. They noted that every court appearance serves as a painful reminder
of his death and the loss impacting his children. Thanking the public for prayers, they asked
for privacy during their immense grief, adding they will not comment further out of respect for the
process. Both teams spent hours questioning witnesses, offering a glimpse into Robinson's mystery defense
strategy. His attorneys, led by Catherine Nestor, questioned video quality, how Robinson was
identified in campus security. His lawyers previously tried to exclude evidence and asked Judge
Tony Graff to remove the death penalty. During the hearing, Robinson sat quietly between his
lawyers, wearing a light-colored suit. The court heard details about the shooting, which occurred
during Kirk's American comeback tour under a campus tent where he invited attendees to debate
with him. A rifle shot rang out while Kirk spoke about gun violence, causing him to slump over.
Witness Chris Bagley, an officer stationed above, recognized the rifle noise and described a chaotic
scene. Though told a suspect was in custody, Bagley discovered suspicious roof evidence, including
a screwdriver and a gravel impression indicating a sniper lay in a prone position. The elbow
knee and feet markings aligned perfectly with Kirk's tent. Defense attorney Nestor objected multiple
times asking Bagley about security planning. State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull testified
that surveillance video showed Robinson on campus four times that day. Prosecutors also displayed
footage showing Robinson parking a gray dodge and returning later to drive away. The hearing will
continue all week to evaluate of prosecutors have enough evidence for trial.

A popular South Florida influencer was killed in a drive-by triple shooting Sunday morning.
21-year-old Brianna Johnson, who posted under the Instagram handle, Dream Doll Bree, was riding in a green SUV with two other passengers when gunfire erupted.
The Miramar Police Department confirmed that surveillance video captured the attack, which unfolded around 5.30 a.m., just hours.
after the 4th of July holiday.
Johnson was known for beauty content,
holding nearly 500,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram.
According to investigators,
Johnson was traveling in a green Lamborghini Euras
when a white sedan pulled alongside the driver's side
at an intersection and opened fire,
striking three occupants.
Surveillance footage shows the sedan following the Lamborghini down the street
before rapid gunfire broke out.
Moments later, the Lamborghini drifted through the intersection and crashed into a house as the shooter's vehicle sped away.
Miramar Police Chief Del Rish Moss described the shooting as rapid fire and social media photos show a dozen bullet holes riddling the SUV's doors.
Reports indicate the victims had attended a large party and stopped at a gas station where a fight broke out.
Investigators believe the SUV was targeted and followed from there.
Johnson succumbed to her injuries while the other two occupants remain in critical condition.
Johnson's cousin shared emotional tributes online as fans flooded her accounts with condolences.
The homicide investigation remains active.
New details have emerged regarding an Ohio police raid that ended in the rescue of 16 children from squalid conditions.
Authorities who discovered the children on June 30th had initially gone to the residents to serve an unrelated warrant to an adult resident.
Upon entering, officers encountered the 16 children, ages 1 through 18, some of whom required
immediate hospitalization due to their serious conditions. Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson called
the situation pure evil and beyond comprehension, stating the children were living like feral
animals. Four adult family members were arrested, 73-year-old Gary Sider's Senior, 36-year-old
Gary Siders Jr., 67-year-old Christina Siders, and 33-year-old Elizabeth Siders. Each adult
faces 17 counts of child endangerment. Police revealed they had no prior knowledge that the children
existed. They had gone to the home specifically to serve a warrant for Gary Siders Jr. for four
counts of indecent exposure. Court documents allege he exposed himself outside the home on four
separate dates in May and June. He is scheduled for a pre-triarch.
hearing on those charges on July 9th. If convicted of child endangerment, the suspects could face
up to 192 years in prison each. For more crime injustice news, be sure to join us for crime
