An unsettling mystery is unfolding in Minnesota where law enforcement agencies are investigating a baffling series of unexplained deaths after multiple bodies were discovered within days of each other across Minneapolis.

The latest discovery occurred Monday afternoon around 1 p.m. near the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis. University of Minnesota Police are leading that investigation, though officials have not yet released the victim's identity or official cause of death. That body was discovered just two miles down the Mississippi Riverbank from where another body was found Saturday evening around 6 p.m. in a wooded area near East River Parkway. Police have identified that victim as 56-year-old Karen Lynn Sonia Sand of Maple Grove.

Meanwhile, a third body was found Sunday morning around 1130. near the shoreline of Badey Makaska Lake, roughly five miles northeast of the Stone Arch Bridge. Investigators from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, who are leading the lake investigation, noted that the remains were found in a severe state of decomposition. The identity and cause of death in that case also remain unreleased. While the string of discoveries has raised serious concerns among local residents, a spokesperson for the Minneapolis Police Department stated Thursday that while MPD is familiar with all three cases, there is currently no known connection between them or to any other active incidents. Adding to the grim week, Minneapolis police confirmed a fourth

person was found dead Wednesday morning under the Hennepin Avenue Bridge in what authorities describe as an apparent suicide. Meanwhile, 19 miles away in Invergrove Heights, the Dakota County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding 40-year-old Timothy Brian Standish Jr. of Minneapolis, who was found dead last Friday in the Mississippi River. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding Standish, his recent activities, or his associates to call the Dakota County Sheriff's Office at 651-438-8477. Authorities in Worcester are searching for 58-year-old Karen Solomon after her husband, 57-year-old veteran patrolman, Kurt Solomon, was found dead inside their home early Tuesday morning. Officers responded to the residents for a medical emergency call only to discover the distinguished officer's body. Kurt Solomon was a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department, a father of two adult sons, and was nearing retirement, according to Officer Thomas Duffy, President of NEPBA Local 911. Surveillance camera footage released by police captured Karen Solomon calmly walking away from the couple's residents at 541 Tuesday morning, just 10 minutes after officers received the emergency call. She was seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. The Wester Police Department warned the public to remain vigilant, emphasizing that they believe she remains armed.

While a cause of death for Officer Solomon has not been. released, the Wester County District Attorney's Office confirmed Karen Solomon is actively being sought for questioning. What makes the search particularly shocking to the community is Karen Solomon's national prominence as an award-winning first responder advocate. Inspired by her son, after a school interaction, Solomon told CBS Boston in a 2016 interview that she dedicated herself to highlighting police officers' experiences. She developed FirstHelp.net, an organization providing critical mental health and crisis resources to first responders. Solomon also co-chaired the Data and Research Committee of the National Consortium on Law

Enforcement Suicide Prevention, participated in National Officer Safety Summit, and won the 2023 Community Hero Award from the Greg Hill Foundation for her tireless work. In South Florida, a woman accused of posing as a bank representative to scam a senior citizen allegedly carried her crime scheme all the way behind bars. 31-year-old Monique Love Turnbull of Miami was arrested by the Martin County Sheriff's Office. After deputies alleged, she showed up at an elderly residence home pretending to work for their bank. Investigators say Turnbull told the victim their account had been compromised and attempted to collect their debit and credit cards under the guise of disposing of them.

The suspicious victim immediately alerted law enforcement. While deputies were investigating, they received. received another call identifying Turnbull as a suspect in a similar fraud case nearby. Martin County deputies located Turnbull driving near Interstate 95 and conducted a traffic stop caught on body cam video before she could leave the county. She was arrested on charges including scheme to defraud, felony use of a two-way communication device, and fraudulent use of a credit or debit card without consent involving a victim 60 or older. However, the case took an even more bizarre turn after Turnbull was processed at the local jail. Authorities revealed that Turnbull entered

the prison with $3,200 in cash hidden inside her body. The Martin County Sheriff's Office noted that while it is unclear who the money was taken from, the cash has been sealed in evidence. Turnbull now faces an additional charge of introduction of contraband into a prison with bond set at $500,000. Sheriff's officials are warning the public never to hand over cash, cards, or valuables to anyone who unexpectedly shows up at a home claiming to represent a bank or government agency.
