Brandon Tlaik, 31, has guests at his Columbus, Ohio home, including Arazia Richardson and his girlfriend. Tlaik and Richardson get in an argument. Tlaik shoots Richardson dead. Nancy, ring video footage from a neighbor's home shows Talik forcing Arazia's girlfriend to leave with him just after the shooting. When Talik is pulled over hours later in Indiana, the girlfriend tells police she's being held against her will and says Talik killed her boyfriend. She says Talik forced her to change clothes, get into the car with him, and that he raped her twice on the way to Indiana. A jury convicts Brandon Talik of murder, kidnapping, and rape.
Starting point is 00:00:48 He'll be sentenced later this month. Shannon Stanger, 58, goes surfing at The Hook, a popular area, Santa Cruz, California, but gets angry at a fellow surfer. A Florida State University student accused of a deadly campus shooting is now behind bars facing multiple charges including murder. 20-year-old Phoenix Eichner was released from a Tallahassee hospital and taken to the Leon County Jail, where he was charged with two counts of first degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder. He's now being held in Wakulla County, a routine transfer since he's related to a Leon County sheriff's deputy. Investigators say Eichner, a political science major at FSU, opened fire near a campus parking garage on April 17th. Within just four minutes, officers confronted and wounded him. Police say
Starting point is 00:02:13 he used a handgun that once belonged to his stepmother, a veteran school resource officer with the Leon County Sheriff's Office. She's now on personal leave and has been reassigned. Authorities have not released a motive. Eichner has not entered a plea. A disturbing case of online exploitation that led to the death of a California teen is now seeing justice unfold overseas. Crime Online correspondent Sidney Sumner brings us the story of an international sextortion ring and the arrest made more than 5,000 miles away. Three years after 17-year-old Ryan Last of San Jose, California, died by suicide, four men in Cote d'Ivoire have been arrested for allegedly taking part in a global sextortion scheme. Last thought he was talking to a young woman on a meta platform in 2022 when he received sexually explicit images and responded in kind. Moments later, he was blackmailed. Investigators say he paid $150 in an attempt to keep the photos private. Hours later,

Three others were taken into custody on money laundering charges, and officials say the group targeted thousands of victims across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. A fifth man connected to the case, arrested in Los Angeles in 2022, was sentenced to 18 months in U.S. federal prison. The FBI, San Jose police, and META

In a related case last year, two brothers from Nigeria received more than 17 years in prison for sexually extorting minors in the U.S., including a Michigan teen who also died by suicide. Federal agents say these arrests are just the beginning in a broader effort to dismantle international sextortion networks targeting young victims online. Thanks, John. She messages her older sister, Kimberly, and after a few messages, Ashley's never seen again. The Loring family reports Ashley missing to tribal police. Two weeks later, a tipster claims a young woman spotted running from a vehicle on a desolate stretch, Route 89. A search party is organized, but Ashley's not found. A gray sweater, believed to be Ashley's, found in a nearby dump. Ashley, 5'2", brown hair, brown eyes, about 90 pounds. The Bureau of Indian Affairs offering a $10,000 reward and the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council is offering a $5,000 reward.
