Hey guys, I'm Derek Levasseur, former police detective and licensed private investigator.
And I'm Stephanie Harlow, YouTube true crime content creator.
This is Crime Weekly, and we're here to talk about crimes in the headlines while also taking
a deeper look into cases that have fascinated us both personally and professionally.
As a former investigator, I'm going to take you behind the scenes and give you an inside
look into how law enforcement would approach these cases.
Here at Crime Weekly, we call it the detective perspective.
I really want to break down the investigatory process
and take the term armchair detective to a whole new level.
And as someone who's been interested in true crime for a long time
and has a desire to examine all the evidence,
I'm going to give you all the context that you need
to try and understand the means, motive, and opportunity.
If you're looking for a Wikipedia recitation, this is not the podcast for you. We cover in-depth cases you may be familiar with,
and some you may never have even heard of. Our goal is to always respect the victim and to
hopefully give you the tools to protect yourselves and your loved ones. We wish we could bring every
victim back and allow them to tell their stories and their words, but that's not possible.
That's right. We're here to educate and inform and hopefully ensure that every day there will
be less victims and more advocates. We release new episodes every Friday,
so subscribe to Crime Weekly on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
