Hello everyone and welcome to tonight's episode of Critical Role, where a bunch of us nerdy-ass voice actor sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons. We've just returned from the chaos of GenCon, which was awesome, and we're all still recovering from that chaos.
Starting point is 00:01:36 It's a very high-energy weekend. We've got to meet a lot of you guys out there. Didn't get to meet enough of you. There's only so much time in the weekend, and those that we didn't, we'll hopefully get a chance to meet you at another future event. But the live show went really well. I hope people who were there enjoyed it. Let's see. We have Lauren Travis are coming in hot right now. They'll be here as soon as they can. In term, a couple announcements, a couple fun things. One, there will not be a standard episode of Critical Not Roll next week because me, Talis and Marisha,
Starting point is 00:02:05 Lauren Travis will be off in a desert somewhere. Instead, there will be a one shot being run none other than from the wonderful, the illustrious, the talented Sam Riegel, his first game of any role-playing game he's ever DM before. I'm so excited. It's going to be great. I was just learning how to DM from Matt about a minute ago. And I think I know.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Nick you got this. Do you want to talk about any of the people who'll be playing with you? Sure, sure, yes. My players that I will be controlling, that's how it works right now? Yeah, totally, that's exactly how it works. My players will be the talented and charming,
Starting point is 00:02:47 Liam O'Brien. Dagger, dagger, dagger, dagger, dagger. The charming and cabberts. The charming and cabbriam. Smelling Brian Foster. Who! A cute, sweet. Friend of the show and
Starting point is 00:03:02 charming everything. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Yay! Young Ashley Birch. Pulling some shit out of her ass, I'm sure. She's gonna be awesome. And then a player we have not played with yet, which he's a lovely voice actor and a talented man.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Eric Bousa. You look him up on a on IMDB. He's the voice of everything. He's brilliant. Bousa is funny as fuck. He has never played Dungeons and Dragons before. Oh, man. I'm like legitimately kind of sad that we're gone next week,
Starting point is 00:03:35 just so we can be from the wings to watch it in person. Oh, we'll have a lot of road time to watch it on the way back. That's true. I'm excited, man. It's like with Bows at the table, any celebrity could show up. He can impersonate anybody. That's true. He has about five or six years before he just becomes the voice of her industry.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Like the living embodiment of us. It absorbs us, likely of Akira. So that's gonna be fun. I look forward to that next week. Let's see, what else? Murch, Laura. Oh. Oh, there's some stuff in the store.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Oh, my goodness, you got it. Oh, man. Don't know my bear, my delimmy, okay. Go to geek and sundries.com, whatever the store is. You're gonna get this shit beat out of you. I'm watching it. I know. I'm not going to see it.
Starting point is 00:04:26 She's watching it right now. Oh, oh no. The 20, the 20. Never mind. Oh, well, then you're in trouble. What about, like, is there a book update? Is there a sticker update? Is there a shirt update?
Starting point is 00:04:39 Do we know anything? There is a sticker update. We found them. Oh, we did. The mail has found them. From where USPS quite literally lost them. Okay, okay. I think the distributor found them,
Starting point is 00:04:54 and now they're bringing us. sent back to the distributor so they can just be sent back to us, and then we will be dropping those in the mail to the people. Getting those to everyone who's there, Jen Conn that signed up, and then we'll let's left over. We'll get announcements up to how we can get those to some folks as well. We're figuring that out still. So we've got a process on that one.
Starting point is 00:05:11 But the Tel-Dora campaign guide went well, apparently, at Gen Con. People seem to like it. I hope you like it. I know they're pushing hard to get those orders out to all the pre-orders by mid to late September, so just follow Green Ronin Pub at Twitter. for any updates on when those will be going out. So thank you very much. We should probably re-announce the art book that we're making. There's an art book.
Starting point is 00:05:33 There's an art book that's happening. It's going to hit in the fall at some point. It's amazing. We've seen it. We've held an approximation of it. We've all sobbed silently as we look through it. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's kind of that phenomenal celebration of everything
Starting point is 00:05:46 that you guys have put together around this game. No joke. It's it. I'm so excited for you guys to see it. It feels like a time capsule. But in a book. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And as long as we're vamping, I've seen some of that comic book, man.
Starting point is 00:06:01 This is looking good. It's under the table in my bag. It looks so good. I'm buddy Mr. Colville's done a fine job. And Olivia's done an amazing job as well. If it involved, it's been great, so I'm excited for that to come forward. So cute. Love it.
Starting point is 00:06:20 I think we've solved all we can solve, right? By the way, the reason Travis and Llor are not here is because we all brought our dice and our little character sheets and stuff to Indianapolis and they left theirs at home, and so they drove home to go get it. Yeah. Because you need the character sheet.
Starting point is 00:06:39 It's important when you've crawled into a mountain's butt. Yeah. That's what the name of this module is going to be. Crawling into the mountains butt. Gygax be prepped. We're like behind his meniscus, right? Aren't we like in his knee? Isn't that where we went in?
Starting point is 00:06:56 You're like in the thigh? Like in the hip joint. Oh, yeah? Oh, real close to the butt, yeah. Right in that sciatic nerve. On brand. Bringing it to territory I'm very familiar with right now. The fundamental.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Can we do that? Can we just find pressure points and just like take him down with like acupressure? That's up to you guys. Oh, and for next week for talks, I believe you're doing a special talks marketing now. We're doing something. You and Brian? Yeah, we're gonna fuck around. I don't actually know.
Starting point is 00:07:29 I'm laser focused on my shitty one shot. Brian and I are chatting about it. You'll be naked. Thanks for tanking the week for us. We're also doing Wednesday Club, me and Liam. We're going to be talking about my favorite book, Hellboy. Hellboy. I'm just going to be bringing in a bag of Bazooka Joe Comics from the Gum. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Oh, I have something I can still time with. For those who... We're very subtle about this, guys. Yeah. For those who didn't catch the debut episode of One Night Only, it was awesome. We talked about Sagas of Sundry, Dread. Everybody wants some handsome. Yeah, we dressed up.
Starting point is 00:08:12 We looked fancy. We made an adventure. What is One Night Only? One Night Only is our special event series that we are attempting to do much. attempting to do monthly is the goal, where we basically bring you people from your favorite fandom in entertainment and pop culture and get to like ask questions
Starting point is 00:08:34 with them kind of panel style, kind of inside the actor studio style. So it can be anything. Are you James Lifton in this equation? Well, this, it was Darren DePaul this past week. But we're going to switch it up depending on what the subject matter is. I really want to do a JPL one night only, where we bring all the smart scientist dudes from from NASA, JPL.
Starting point is 00:09:02 I'm sure there are critters at SpaceX. Oh, I'm sure that are. Actually, we've gotten We've got a mittres. Come on over. Elon. But yeah, and then for those who missed it, we announced at the end of One Night Only
Starting point is 00:09:15 that there will be a season two of Sagavs of Sundry Entitled, Madness. Yeah, suddenly I showed up, and there's like that 30 yards of red velvet I've been making for 26 months. Boy, let me tell you what I had for lunch today. Yeah. We're essentially doing an episode of I'll work no play right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Basically. Yeah. Should you start? Maybe by the time you're done. I think at this point we need to. We just got to go. For your sake, and ours. Because I hate vamping.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Pike, Grog, and Vex. It will be. Fine. Great. Yay, go table left. Titties. Let's do it. Anyway. Table left. Table top. Table above. Table above. So that being the case, as we await the return of two of our players, let us begin tonight's journey on tonight's episode of Critical Role. Hello and welcome back.
Starting point is 00:11:46 So, last we left off on this adventure, last we left on this, God damn it, Liam. Last we left off on this adventure, Vox Machina had been counting down their preparations to the eventual showdown and second battle with Vecna, who they discovered recently had completed his ascension into godhood, here the only god in the primaterial plane.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Not knowing what his plans were, You begun to bring together with information you had upon gathering blessings from different deities and pieces of their divinity to craft the prime trammels, a device that was once used to seal the chained oblivion long ago. You travel deep beneath the volcano of Skaldseat, beneath the ocean off the coast of Ossera, between Percival and Grog's newfound,
Starting point is 00:12:44 imbument of skills and knowledge via Aune. You managed to successfully defeat the guardian and craft the trammels and return to Vasselheim. where you discovered via Pike that there was a council meeting, a council meeting happening within the Platinum Sanctuary. There you met up with, it seemed to be the hand of Vord. Yeah, like everyone was there. I had to get my notebook out. Hi, hierophant Ophira of the birth heart.
Starting point is 00:13:12 There was Earthbreaker Groon. There were Maidens of the Raven there. And then eventually, Allura, Enkima, and Jermonza Ord had also Commended the fray. So during this discussion about what to do, what to handle, you were granted a ring by Hiberivord that within a certain radius could prevent divination or specifically scrying on you, not the school of divination, but magics that divine your location, whatever's near vicinity.
Starting point is 00:13:44 This moment, it seems the council was interrupted by an image of Vecna, taunting you until it was dispelled by Allura. The discussion was that something was going on in the mountain range where Vecna seemed to have Tharam Fala, which had been discovered by a couple of surviving Wyvern riders. And thinking about one of the two possible locations that could be of interest of Vecna, you gathered your materials, your preparations, and with the first striking lot of Wyvern riders on the back of the newly transformed Jermon Sa'ord into the Davosa dragon form, you were transported We were Dhrouyids to the northern icy landscape
Starting point is 00:14:27 of Issylra to the base of the Zemwick Mountains, where you discovered that the Crips of Thomara, an ancient forgotten Dwarven society and civilization that had destroyed itself through cannibalism and madness, was now a sinkhole in the mountain range and a series of large, heavy 150 plus foot across cavernous o'clock openings in the ground from a pattern that you'd soon discovered were footfalls, steps,
Starting point is 00:14:59 and came upon what seemed to be the risen, undead primordial Earth Titan, long, long left beneath the surface of the world dead since the founding, now given unlife and walking its way southeast towards Vasselheim, where atop its shoulders there was you saw, Tharam Fala, protected by some sort of a magical barrier. There, you struggled with a few fleets of flying gloomstockers that were charging their way towards you. You turn yourself invisible through both Scanlan and Jemann Saward. I'll say Jemann or DeVos. Both forms, same person. You managed to, thanks to a very high roll from Kieleth, discover there was some sort of a waterfall or a trickle of liquid near the hip of this
Starting point is 00:15:51 giant titan, its giant four swinging arms of imminent danger in its vicinity. Only managing to clip Keeleth and Vax once, surviving the impact, you all gathered at this ingress right around the hip of the Titan, where you leapt off the dragon and proceeded to make your way in, where Keelith, using control water, was keeping the heavy flow of some sort of an underground river from blowing you off the broken steps that leads you. into your entry. And that is where we left off. So, at this time, Kielis, as you're all standing, looking over your shoulder, you can see the opening where you enter, where it's just this, this giant view through this window where you can see down below the mountains and the valleys
Starting point is 00:16:42 and the landscapes outside. You can hear the wind blowing through and battering like a heavy, deep whistle. There is these, oh, and we have the rest of our party. Perfect time. Welcome. Just a good chance. Okay, we'll start our announcements again. Cool, thank you. That would be great. I did a very good job with merchandise. Did you?
Starting point is 00:17:03 Yep. Thanks. What did you say about merchandise? He didn't say anything, but he did a great impression of you. Cool. Sorry, sorry. Sorry about that. A professional is on time, Laura. Oh.
Starting point is 00:17:24 It's actually up to me to remember, and I didn't, and she was closest to home. So thank you, Laura. Yeah, thanks. So, as you all stand now on the outside of the opening of this Titan Ingris, the slick stone steps that break off and crumble into the open expanse, where you can plummet hundreds of feet to your death
Starting point is 00:17:46 should you slip, Kiela is holding the water at bay, keeping the flow from pushing you all back outside of the large Earth entity. Gathering your strength, you watch as Jemansa Ord's Brass Dragon form flies just outside of your visual range, and you now all stand within this 15-foot wide entryway. What do you do? Is there a passage that we can get out of the flow of the water once it's been released? Currently, the flow mostly covers about 10 to 15 feet of this opening. It just kind of flows downward. It's not super strong, but it's enough where it would be somewhat dangerous.
Starting point is 00:18:24 to some of you, however, Kielis is keeping it at bay, so for as long she can concentrate. It lasts a while. Okay. And if she weren't controlling it, would there still be, even though it's dangerous, some air? It's not like a full-on. Yeah, it may be up to your knees as far as a flow.
Starting point is 00:18:38 It's just, you know, a possible slip in your fighting the current to push you outside of the Titan. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's concentration up to 10 minutes. Okay, well, let's move quickly. Let's move quickly. So we're just going in. Into the giant.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Let's either that or back out. Okay. Did I still have passed a trace on us? You haven't lost concentration on it. Okay, so I imagine so. Okay. Cool. What's a marching order, by the way?
Starting point is 00:19:11 I'll be up front. All right, Vax up front. Who's next? I'll be behind back since we touched down first, I guess. All right. Keyless after Vax. Who's next? I will be behind him.
Starting point is 00:19:24 All right. Is Trinket still in your necklace? Yeah, I'm bimping him out right now. Okay, Trinket is out next to you. Who's after Vex? I will be lucky Pierre right in the middle. Pike will walk right in front of Krug. And I'll be the caboose.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I'll be right by Krue. Yeah, I'll be between Piking Grug. Yeah, right there. Okay, good to know. So, slick steps across the smooth stone walkway, the water, however, being kept to be by Akilke. You watch as this river is being curled. back into itself and the flow is being staunched, like it's briefly frozen in time. It's a very unique thing to see, especially as the darkness. There is no light source inside,
Starting point is 00:20:07 so you just watch the, you can see, especially those of you with the dark vision, you can see the flow and the movement, and then it swirls back on itself. It seems to be just contained in that space. As you push up, bits of it kind of splash and trickle out to the side, but for the most part, you maintain complete control of this flow. As you continue up the cracked stone stairs, slight right curvature up into this shaded area. The roof of this opening is about maybe 10 feet tall. And it dips down with some of the rough rock outside and ceiling area of this to about seven to six feet.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Grog, you have to dip down a few times. And you see hints of stalactites that you have to maneuver around and push through. It's not a very huge opening, and it seems to vary in its size. And with each heavy footfall, you have to kind of catch yourself on the wall as the impact and the shake, like a p of each step of the Titan you're within
Starting point is 00:21:00 seems to cause you to shift slightly and the very, very faint bit of dust be released from the tunnel around you. I'm just gonna start because we don't know what's, part of this is the Titans butt and Earth, but some of it could have been made by cannibal dwarves at some point, so I'm just assume that I'm looking for traps and listening for cannibal dwarves,
Starting point is 00:21:21 undead cannibal dwarves. Okay, so you're taking a very, very slow approach. Actually, that's a good point. Does this look like it was carved by man from cannibal dwarves or nature made? Make an investigation check. Investigation or nature check? It's not being a nature check. My better one? That's doesn't count. No, nope. No, no.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Nine. Two to two, four. I mean, much of this tunnel seems to be natural cavern, but there were steps when you first came in. There were stone steps that were carved or placed within the dirt that eventually were consumed or covered by silt and loose earth and whatever the river seemed to have knocked loose
Starting point is 00:22:13 and began to flow over it. So you can see both. A lot of this is natural, but there seem to be, at least in just the few, maybe like 30 or 40 feet you've made into the tunnel at this point, you've seen elements of the tunnel. of civilization, of crafted entry that merge with the terrain. Did we get a time frame of how long ago the script was built before,
Starting point is 00:22:36 like how old the script has been around? Early age of Arcana, so best estimate from what you knew, from you guys both learning about the history of this, well over 1,500 years, if not longer. Long time ago. Long. before the Great War thing? After the founding, which is the first Great War,
Starting point is 00:23:00 where the Titans were slaughtered, and in the beginning of the Age of Arconum, which was long before the divergence. Well, we've got on the door that's trouble. Yes. Yep. Can I touch the ground now that we're in the Titan, thinking maybe this might be where the knuckles are from?
Starting point is 00:23:16 Can I like touch it and see if the oven mitts do anything? They're like just general thing, vibration never stops. There's just a perpetual, very, very minute hum to them. And touching it doesn't seem to have any effect or change. Just the proximity seems to be triggering them some sort of harmonization. I reach up and touch my items up and I'm like, This place is crazy. Sorry. No, you wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:23:47 I think you went. All right, so make an investigation check, Vax, as you slowly lead the group up this. slightly curving tunnel? Zabab, zubba, zubba, zubba. That is a 27. 27, okay. I didn't get to sort them.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Or you should do that now. You can just pick one of each, you know? Introduce some chaos. Indeed. As you guys slowly make your way along the path behind Vax, you look out and occasionally see bits of loose earth that looks looser than most. than most, and as you brush it aside, you can see the steps continue. A lot of it's been buried,
Starting point is 00:24:29 but this was a staircase that slowly ascended and curved. Just the movement of the Titan seems to have knocked a lot of the loose tunnel to cover it. And so as you kind of brush it aside, you carefully look about it, and you can see that there are occasional symbols of a writing you don't understand, but nothing stands out to you as a trap or a trigger. Okay. Does it look familiar to any bits? What languages do you guys know? Why are you looking over here?
Starting point is 00:24:59 Drakonic episode. I know stick figures. I know charades. Dwarven. Can read. Anybody not Dwarven? You can read Dwarven with your belt. You can read now, Rob.
Starting point is 00:25:10 You can read four to five letter words. I mean I can. I can read Dwarf because of the belt. But only tiny bits. Yeah, I might fuck up the bigger pieces. Okay. steal when you could read anything to speak. So, Grog.
Starting point is 00:25:25 As Vax points out some of these symbols, I don't want it. You sit there and concentrate really hard on one of the carvings and the recently uncovered stone step. As you focus, you begin to sound out the sound to yourself repeatedly, this gru-k-h-gru-h. And you're trying to find the right way to pronounce it. All ram, new.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Essentially. Yeah, that was nice. It takes you about two to three minutes to sound this out, which knocks about two to three minutes off of your concentration time for your control. Autospel. But this, it looks to be carved in as a warning. Do hush. Duhous.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Duhus. Strangely, if you could have seen Thomara when it was a highly functioning society, they would have been blasting Rammstein everywhere, man. Speak Romstein and enter. Yeah, this was, like, these weren't the happy-go-lucky dwarves of old. This was a very brutal clan. It looks like a warning of some kind. It speaks the rough translation from what you can...
Starting point is 00:26:50 you can, spending about five minutes or so, breaking out. Oh, come on, Rock. This glyph and a few of the glyphs. It says, leave death here, no further. Right. It says leaves death here, no fur. No fur.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Here. No fur here? No fur, no further. Oh, wow. So leaves death here, leave some death here. But no fur, though. Got it. Just here.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I'm still working it out. Maybe it's no fur. Maybe we should leave Trinket. I'm just saying that's the furriest one. I don't want Trinket to die. Thanks, Kevin. It's a general... It's a general no warning.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Man, I mean, I've been you already knew so much of that. I've been working really hard. That was like five minutes. No, you did so good. Concentration I've ever given to one thing in my life. You did it. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Okay, let's get up this river before I lose concentration. Okay. You push up another 60 or four, so, but I can't talk today. Is it 60 or so feet, with Vak still keeping the point man on this. Slowly pulling forward, you begin to hear the sound of rushing water growing louder and louder. Great. You eventually come across the rift in the ceiling that is spilling forth, the water that is spilling forth, the water that is forming this river. It looks like there is a recent crack in a piece of eroded earth that has fallen out and from some sort of water source further up inside the Titan that is causing this river to continuously run in and out of this Titan.
Starting point is 00:28:37 How does this work? I mean, how is he functioning? How much water could a Titan hold? Well, this thing is massive. And he's basically a walking mountain, so I think it can hold a lot. Like a barrel of water in his chest? Oh yeah. Even laying in the ground. A little lake.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Yeah, when he stood up. Water just drained out of him, you know. Like a resin. We're always impressed by how much water comes out of you. That's true. So at this point you guys would be able to move around and continue a past where this opening is and the river would no longer be impeding your path. Okay. Let's do that.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Let's do that. Keep moving up, right? Up, right? That's where the cissy is. Up, sure. Oh, hang on. Yeah. Can I do like a nature check? Is there anything weird about this? Sure.
Starting point is 00:29:29 While she's doing a nature check, I want to do primeval awareness and sense undead in the area. Okay. Oh. Within a mile of me. It's way better. Wow, that was amazing. What the fuck is with these rules?
Starting point is 00:29:45 Many. Many. So many. Like three? Within the mile, within the miles, which is pretty much the entirety of the Titan. Yeah. Just a shit, Tyne. Plus considering the Titan is dead.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Thousands. Four digits. But they're probably in inoperable pieces. Or like a nice head, or is there one near us? Nothing within the very immediate vicinity, due to the limitations of primityful awareness, which does not show you the exact location. you just sense the presence in kind of vague direction. Forward and upward, there is just this giant mass of undead force that, like the minute you focus, it causes you to hold your
Starting point is 00:30:33 breath as soon as the impact hits you, and you almost have to remind yourself to exhale. But maybe they're all hypnotized or something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, probably. Okay. The structural damage appears to be natural, and as you pay attention to watch, as another footfall, the Titan hits, when it shakes, you watch as another piece of rock kind of falls, and a little water flow kind of expands a little more to allow a little more water to exit. You get the sense that as the Titan moves, the longer it travels, the more it's going to fall apart.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Or at least portions of it that were kind of built into the Titan that aren't part of its natural body. Are going to start to crumble. Some of the May, depending on how well they're making. The Titan. I've thought about that. Just to fucking fall apart. We're in it. Yeah, but we could take out the entire city.
Starting point is 00:31:27 We're in it! Last time we did that, it's kept floating up top. What if? Yeah, but it couldn't move anymore for a while. Let's get to the top. We have to get to the top. This thing is too big. I don't think my earthquake will do enough.
Starting point is 00:31:40 It's in the grab bag. We know it's enough. If we're inside it, look, the GI tract of this Titan, and we give it an earthquake. I mean, what if it's just like, it gives it the runs? Mudslide. Big old.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Big old dead tank fight. No. I mean, potentially. It's a good idea. It could shit out a lot of dwarven zombies. And us. It is also an option if we do get overrun. True.
Starting point is 00:32:06 All right, we could go down. Did you learn it today, Pike? Yeah, yeah. Are we playing Pike? Yeah. We are playing Pike. We are. We are the Pike Gagerers.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Okay. Okay. Okay. Greetings adventurers. Spring has sprung here in Los Angeles, and that means it's a brief period where it's only 75 degrees instead of 95 degrees. I'll take it.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And that means I've been outside a lot more, walking around, occasionally galloping after a toddler hopped up on juice boxes, traveling a bit. You know the vibe. And after doing some spring cleaning, my wardrobe, I gotta say, looking a little bit sad. I want clothes that can keep up with me and my son, but updating my wardrobe every spring,
Starting point is 00:32:51 sounds pretty expensive. So that's why I wound up signing up for Fabletics as a VIP. It let me overhaul my springtime outfits without obliterating my bank account. New VIPs unlock major savings on that first purchase, so trying new fits feels way more doable. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70 to 80% off everything. It made it easy to grab a few new pieces without overthinking it. And the quality really surprised me. Everything feels premium and soft and breathable, but you're not paying those premium prices. What I like most though is how versatile everything is. You've got stuff you can work out in, but also wear out. There's matching sets, lightweight hoodies, joggers, teas, you name it. The kind of stuff you can throw on in the morning and not worry about later. When I'm at home, my favorite thing to pull on is the oversized hoodie. It's so comfy I could just live in it 24-7. It's perfect for walking my dog on like a chilly night. But what I'm out and about, I've really been loving the ribbed Johnny Collar Polo. It makes me look like I should be taking a high-power meeting by the pool at the White Lotus, but hopefully with less murder involved? I don't know. It's insanely comfortable. I highly recommend it. Starting point is 00:36:11 Okay. All right. You can do the impression and I will sort to the pages. Okay. There you go. All right, so as you guys ascend past the rushing water, the sound of the river begins to slowly fade behind you as you continue to spiral upward, the slow crawling, ascending tunnel. Now, the dirt that consumes the stairs at your feet eventually begins to give away as
Starting point is 00:36:38 your feet find purchase in softer earth and loose gravel, and the rocky terrain as you continue to push further and further into the interior of this Titan. and you feel another heavy impacting footfall, and all of you have to brace yourself this time. Donk. Sorry. You have to brace yourself against the nearby wall. This impact seeming heavier than others, and as it does, a number of rocks, tumble paths. What do you think you just did? Do you think he just fell?
Starting point is 00:37:07 Maybe. I think we'd feel it. I think he swung at something, maybe. Another footfall. Another footfall. Just keep. Every single hit seems to cause the foreign structures in the inside to really hope that they were made well. Another heavy footfall hits even heavier than the last. And this one, the impact hits so hard that you guys are almost thrown to your knees as you reach out and you hear this loud crack sound above you. above you. I need Scanlon, Pike, Percival, and Grog to make a dexterity saving throw, please. Dex, huh? Yep.
Starting point is 00:38:00 It's like a good. Pike needs to do it, right? Yep. Natural 20. Ooh! Ooh, Doctor. Gill coming in in the clutch. Ooh, what's up Gil? 15.
Starting point is 00:38:17 15? 13. 13. 13 for the other known. All right. Everyone but Grog, you glance at just in time to watch as a large piece of the tunnel ceiling dislodges and comes plummeting down in your direction. Groggy, you dive out of the way being clipped off the shoulder, but you managed to avoid most of the impact. The rest of you, however, immediately get buried by rock and broken earth. Grogue! Suffering 29 points of bludgeoning damage to Percival, Pike, and Scanlan.
Starting point is 00:38:52 and they are buried, restrained right now, unable to breathe. Look, look, fuck, fuck. I go over and I start, just like, dog, blah, da, all this, dirt, everything. Dink, Dissing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Between all of you guys are able to help, it's a negligible period of time, and it wasn't too heavy of an impact. You managed to get them free over the next five or so minutes or so. They get their breath back. A bit battered, but you get the sense, too, that you should travel quickly.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Oh, my. Yeah. Keep him. Keep going quickly. Taking up the pace of it, you continue up the curvature of the upward ascension. It's been probably about, I'd say, 60 or 70 feet since you've seen any sort of natural,
Starting point is 00:39:37 sorry, any carved portion of terrain, any sign of previous dwarven construct or building or architecture. As the tunnel stops the curve, eventually, looking ahead, ascends it about a 10-foot climb up onto a plateau of some kind. You can see some weird root like trees growing out of one wall and seems to just be dead and petrified in its current space.
Starting point is 00:40:06 You guys wish to ascend at a plateau? I mean, we probably should, right? How far away is it? It's about 40 feet from you right now. I'm going to creep up like 20 feet in front of everybody else. I want to go with him. Keep an eye out for the zombie dwarves. Divine sense, which is spreeves.
Starting point is 00:40:22 specific to undead location, not vague. If there's, within 60 feet, I'll use one. Okay. Focusing, no undead, 60 feet of you. It's good. 60 feet worth. I just drank a tiny little potion of healing. I healed six.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Good job. Good six. So it's leading up to a plateau? Yeah, it goes up about 10 or so feet, 15 feet up, and then it leads to the plateau and you can't see beyond that. I'm gonna scuttle up and just, and look over. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Are you, stealth? Well, stealth, well, stealth check. Add 10. The X are you going with him or letting him scout ahead? I would, I crawled up, but then once he took off again in our state. Okay. Wince he took off again. 41.
Starting point is 00:41:11 41. 41. That's the number. This is an old news, guys. This is old news. This is what I get to do. It seems new to me every time. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Roll the road, makes sense. You ascend to the top of this plateau. It only goes on about 15 feet and then descends down into another chamber that splits into two different directions. The tunnel goes to the right and to the left. You can see, once again, these slactites, some of them meeting in the center with stagmites to form pillars. You can see portions of the wall that have collapsed and created these kind of soft landslides in one corner to the right of you. But currently all you see is the descending tunnel and then the split. You can't see too far one way or the other.
Starting point is 00:41:52 With dark vision, I can see. Yeah. I turn around to the group and just do like a, and then I go down over a stealthing along the way. Okay. Which boat? Anyone else? Freedom? I guess we follow him, but. What did this mean?
Starting point is 00:42:05 Did this mean we're supposed to follow him and split up? I think that means that there's a split in the path. Oh, okay. Let's split up anyway. Okay, yeah. Scan and you go one way and we'll go to the other. Sure, sure. Okay. So as the rest of you kind of ascend to the top of the plateau,
Starting point is 00:42:21 you make your way down to the center and you can see the path goes to the right and the left. Both seem fairly identical, though they're traveling not but, although they're traveling in opposite directions. We entered in the left side of the body. If you were to look at it straight on, it's facing you, it would be the right side. It's facing us. Correct.
Starting point is 00:42:44 So our right, it's left. No, it's right, our left. Stage left. I'm looking at its butt. It's right. To the right. To the right. To the right leg.
Starting point is 00:42:55 Right leg. So if we split, we probably want to keep to the core of it. So to left. Left. To left. To the left, left. That is a decision.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Not that. All things being equal. I mean, we'll check obviously for air current. Everything you own in a tunnel. I can do it. At which point there is what sounds like an explosion of rock and dirt immediately to the left of Percival. As too heavy rock-like linners.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Reach out, grab and pull him against the wall as the skilling crumples over and collapses. He's now vanished within the wall and now leaving a pile of rock in its place. Wait, who is? Percy. Percy? Into the wall. Into the wall. Oh, God. Darkness, and you're now restrained and there is no air. I just start clawing at the wall very much. You start clawing it.
Starting point is 00:43:50 At this point, with the alertness peaked up between you two and Keyleth, you glance around and you can see things emerging out of the nearby walls. Like the rocks themselves are almost pushing through. I said, get to the middle, stay away from the walls! And I cast Transmute Rock, like right in the space where he went, and I reach my hands in and try and grab him out of mud. Okay. Here, here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:16 It's a fifth level spell. Oh, shit. Transmute. Have you transmuted anything before? Get him, Kylis. I've done it once before and it didn't work very well. Right. So as you do that, this is the time.
Starting point is 00:44:27 entire section of the wall turns to like a heavy, soft mud material, and your arms plunge into it and you feel and you grab Percival and pull them out. Nice. You're just covered in thick, sludgy mud, and as he's pulled out, you guys glance around and you can see shifting in the darkness. The walls in certain places seem to almost move. I spin around and pull here. I need you all to roll initiative. Oh, Jesus Christ. We're fighting. Walls!
Starting point is 00:44:58 Do you want me to realize that? First doors now, walls. Cousins. What the fuck? Is that there? Oh, wow. Oh, shit. Oh, shite.
Starting point is 00:45:08 I know aquariums. Is that a 19? A 19? A 19. Right there. You rolled for a pike? I was going to roll for pike. No, but you already rolled.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Personally, you were pulled into this side there. That was me a lot of advantage. The needle had just pulled you out there. What she got? Did she have a blast? There's no balls. Some effects. To drink it.
Starting point is 00:45:28 I would be closer to Percy than Trinket is. Yeah. That's true if you were scrambling at the wall. So it would be Trinjord. I was as well. I was with the twins were scrabbling at the rock. This is so cool. All righty. And that being the case then, you guys are all clustered up on that platform.
Starting point is 00:45:53 No. No! Well, we were... We were... Wait. Matt, wait. Wait. Wait.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Wait. Wait. Wait. as these creatures that are similar to the living earth physicality of the Titan and or the elemental form that Kielaith has taken in the past seem to emerge. But where they're once kind of glowing elemental eyes are, there's just a vacuous darkness.
Starting point is 00:46:22 And you feel the rumble of the ground as they shift and glide through the rock in their vicinity. Oh, they're like, undead, necromanic. Elemental. They're not undead because you do not sense undead in the presence. They're necroman. They're gut parasites.
Starting point is 00:46:43 But, oh no, you guys, guess what we didn't do. We didn't have a feast. Well, how are we going to have a feast? We were going to make a board meeting and then we came here. Yeah, how would we know? All right, so getting initiative orders here. Oh, it's bullshit.
Starting point is 00:47:03 All right, so, 25 to 20. 21. Same thing. 21 as well. Oh. Right? 4 plus 7 is 11.
Starting point is 00:47:12 21, yes. Geez. Roll a 3 and 19. Dun, dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun advantage. All right, 20 to 15. 18. 18.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Nice. All right, 15 to 10. 10 to 5. Eight. Back one. Oh. She rolled it one? Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:41 God damn. Got it. So, top of the round, Percival, as you just emerge, covered in the sludge, you look around and you can just, which by the way, right now you have no vision because nobody let a torch. I should remember that. You are human. You have no common sight. Don't laugh that.
Starting point is 00:48:00 We'll say for the purposes of this, you had a torch out so you could see this entire while you were traveling. I would imagine. I would imagine. Is Mike's mace of disruption always shed bright light for 20 feet? When she chooses to. When she chooses to. Okay. However, as soon as you were pulled into the wall
Starting point is 00:48:18 and then dragged back out and the whole surface of it is coated, so you were just seeing darkness. So in your turn, you're blinded right now. I'm blinded? Yes, because you can't see anything around you. All you hear is the moving and shifting of rock and your allies all preparing for some sort of assault. I'm going to spend my turn then removing the mud from my eyes.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Okay. I think I still have a charge in my flashlight at this point. So. You can't, though, it is covered in. I'm going to spend my bonus action clearing that and then. We'll say it'll take your whole turn. Oh, my whole turn. To clear yourself and to clear the light from that.
Starting point is 00:48:52 So there you go. All right. At that point, the light at the front of your weapon lights up, illuminates the vicinity, and you see now the moving shadows are bits of rock and stone now moving, living out of the nearby walls. How do we fight rocks? Why do we fight rocks? I'm about to tell you.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Be careful they can go into the walls and earth glide, so watch your feet. So Percival, you can move if you want to. Yeah, I'm just going to, is there one right next to me right now? Yeah, that's in there. There's one, maybe 10 feet from now. I'm going to hop over by that, by the little pool fountain. I'm going to back up and get out of this little clump of people.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Amadura. Amathara. That sounds like you were causing a spell. Amma. They're vulnerable to thunder damage, lightning, anything vibraty, because rocks. Which you will find out. Okay, so I'll say that you're yelling that as everyone's preparing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I give them an awesome massage. All right. So that finishes Percival's turn, Grog, you're up. I would like to rage. I would like to spin around 180 degrees and I would like to attack Clayface right behind. They're all clear. No, he specifically is clay face. Okay, go for it.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Shit stain is down at the bottom of the stairs. Rock race. Go for it. Great weapon, master. Not yet. Assassinate. Not yet. Uncanny rage.
Starting point is 00:50:19 28. Double-dicts. Eight hits? Yeah. That is like. That is. All I, re-roll ones and twos. Nice.
Starting point is 00:50:31 20, oh, 22 plus. One point of necrotic, 23 points of damage. 23 points in the first hit. So as you spin around, jaw open, growling and rage, you bring the axe across and it just cuts across the front of his chest. You watch this pieces of rock break off, but it still holds strong against the impact.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I do it again. Oh, shit. Reckless, great weapon master this time. Bless you. Right. 15. Okay, I don't know where. What's the band?
Starting point is 00:50:59 A third of, 25. 25 hits. Okay. Oh, right. This is keeps him from seeing us. Twenty, thirty-one points of damage. Ooh, nice. The second hit, you swing around and slam it,
Starting point is 00:51:12 actually gets stuck and wedged in part of its body. And for what looks to be the face and it seems, the mouth opens and gives this guttural as a reaction, actually giving a pain exert upon the hit. However, as it reaches out, both of its hands grab the edge of the axe. No, no, no. All right, that end your turn?
Starting point is 00:51:31 Is he holding my axe? Is he tempting to. Well, I wanted to move. Okay, then move. I'm moving! I would like to go. Five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty, five, thirty, to face off with this guy.
Starting point is 00:51:47 All right, well, that guy swings at you with his fist. As you pull away, you kind of rip the accent of its grasp, and instead it takes one wide swing with its right fist. But you slice its fingers off when he does it. I can't forget retaliation. Which it has advantage on because of your sharpness. That is a twenty- It hits.
Starting point is 00:52:04 24 to hit. Yeah, I have a low weight. I don't wear clothes. I wear a gauntlets. And for... You wear a smile. I wear skin. And tattoos.
Starting point is 00:52:17 That is 18 points of bludgeon damage, reduced to nine. Nine. Thank you. All right, that finished your term, grog? Yes, it does. Vax, you're up. Hi. Okay. And you're on deck backs.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Okay. I'm gonna cast Hunter's mark on... And the biggest one, this one. All right. And then I'm gonna shoot him with Sharp Shooter. Go for it. So wait. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Oh no. Okay, 19. 19 minus five. 14. 14. 14 does not hit, unfortunately. As you mark it with your spell, you pull back the first arrow and it hits, but it ends up exploding. The shards of wood kind of scattering off of it, and you hear it's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you motherfucker. Okay, 16.
Starting point is 00:53:12 16 misses. Mother five. You go to shoot another arrow this time. Out of frustration as you pull back and let it loose. It actually back hands the arrow out of the air, scattering the shaft in the middle of the sky. I didn't say sharpshooter. I didn't say sharpshooter on that one.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Did I? I didn't clarify. So with the minus, about the minus five, what would it be? It would be 21. 21. Okay. But I didn't say it. You didn't say it. But I should have said it, but I didn't say it.
Starting point is 00:53:40 That's okay. Well, let it go. All right, so go ahead and roll damage. Regular damage. So as it goes to backhand it out of the air, the arrow manages to sink in the center of its fist. It still causes a crack to widen across the various plates that keep its left arm together. 16 plus five lightning damage. And then since he is next to five lightning damage.
Starting point is 00:54:03 next to Skyline I get sneak attack. Correct. Ooh, 12. 15, snake attack. And then Hunter's mark. Three. Alrighty. Fantastic. Third-round damage, one hit.
Starting point is 00:54:22 So the second one is it hits, it causes this rift in the center of his large battering ram-like arm to kind of shift and crack and pieces, like broken shale kind of peel and fall off to the ground around it. That ends your turn? Okay. Do you want to move or you stay where you are? I don't know. I'm gonna, yeah, I'm gonna stay where I am.
Starting point is 00:54:38 All right, backs, you're up. We've been in here for under an hour. Probably not much time left, but under an hour, right, since we arrived? Pushing close to an hour. Okay, how high is the ceiling in this tunnel? Not 12 feet. 12 feet.
Starting point is 00:54:51 I will float above everybody, just in the space above their heads. We can just kind of fudge it. Probably above where, between Percy and Pike, if we can manage it. All right. Kaisaliyos. I'm just going to dagger, dagger with sharpshooter
Starting point is 00:55:09 on all three, the one right below me next to Keelot. So here we go. Alrighty. Okay. So the first one is a 20. All right, that hits. Okay. Second one is bowls. And the third one is
Starting point is 00:55:28 Bada-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da is 20. 20 hits as well. So two hits. And because assassin and they haven't gone yet, sneak attack, oh, I have advantage because of assassin, so sneak attack. Correct. Also next to Keillot, multiple reasons for sneak attack. Yep. All the reasons.
Starting point is 00:55:46 All the reasons, yeah, yeah, yeah, excuse me, Pike. So that is 340.3 is 11, plus second knowledge is 15, 19, 23, 25, 28, 29. 28, 29, 35, 36 for the first one. And then the last one just as a rinky dink. Ooh. One. One point of damage.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Yeah. Because offhand attack doesn't get any. There's no modifier, just whatever damage the weapon would deal. Yeah, just one. Okay. And I'll stay floating. All right, so as you're flying there, your wing still keeping plus. Don't you add six though?
Starting point is 00:56:32 No modifier. That's the modifier. No, no, dexterity modifier. It still gets like weapon bonus. Yeah. Like damage bonus in the weapon. That's calculated from dexterity. Plus, of two. So two. Oh, and, sorry. And 20 more for the sharpshooter. Ah, no, the sharpshooter in that.
Starting point is 00:56:52 All the numbers. All the numbers. All the numbers. All right, so as you release the torrent daggers down, one of them slams into the chest. That's another one hits and skids off to the side and vanishes. The third one actually strikes right where the first dagger was, driving it deeper in. Both them seem to like wedge and break the interior of its chest, and you watch as parts of its
Starting point is 00:57:10 body are falling off in chunks. And it's giving this horrible sucking sound, like it's barely holding itself together. But there it still stands. That ends your turn. Scanlan, you're up. Okay, I will sort of rotate around the guy with the red ring around him. There? So that I'm between him and his friend. Right there? Yeah. Okay, you're right on the edge. There's a platform drop-off behind Live up all the years! So as you rush over there, you're like, you watch this couple of rocks kind of tumble off
Starting point is 00:57:39 and clatter below. Take a drop, not too bad. Sure, and I'll cast, oh, I'll inspire grog first. Hey, for you. Because I'm about to hit you. Okay. Fair enough. I will sing, hey now, you're a grog stuff,
Starting point is 00:57:56 get your axe up and slay. Hey now, you're a grog stuff, get your rage on, and rage. Rage, all Laura's dice are gold. Now a D-12 can be rolled. Oh, that's shit out of the line. Yeah, I like it. Came back around.
Starting point is 00:58:16 All right, so Dick, your inspiration, most definitely. And then I'll do third level thunder wave. Third level thunder wave. Towards which one? Both. Both of these guys? 15 feet. It's a self-thing.
Starting point is 00:58:33 Oh, from you? It's from me in a 15-foot cube. A cube. Okay, so you can put yourself in the cube then. Yeah. Yeah, okay. You may not even hit grog necessarily. Yeah, 15-foot radius.
Starting point is 00:58:45 You better. You can do it in a way where doesn't hit the other guy. That'll be nice. All right, I'll let you do that. So you out the sides of you. All right, so it's a Constitution saving throw for both of them, right? Yeah, sure. Oh, shit. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:59:01 You don't know. You don't know. The second one does save. First one does not roll the natural 20 on it. Saving throw the first one, well, five. So plus five still ten. What did the second one roll? The natural 20 plus five.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Yeah, yeah, that does. So they both take three, no, two, three, four D8 damage and the one who didn't make his save gets pushed away, but he's right up against the wall. So it's under anything. However, it's thunder damage, which they are vulnerable to. So they take double damage from this. Double damage?
Starting point is 00:59:30 Yeah, so go ahead and roll the dice. Four D8. You watch, as the black. Mass of Thunder Energy slams outward. Both of them, you watch as their bodies are thrown into the rock behind them. It's terrible. 12 points. 12 points?
Starting point is 00:59:43 24. So, all right. The shit hair. Sorry, man. That was sub-fought. That's okay. So both of them get hit and thrown back, slam into the wall, and you watches their body. It's unable to earth glide based on the force of impact, so it actually causes part of their body to crack.
Starting point is 01:00:04 intrinsically, and they both fall back to the ground, and their feet kind of sink into the stone, about an inch or two, and they've repositioned their stance. Okay. All right. Any else you want to do? Oh, and then, well, shit, if I move away, he's gonna take a swing at me, isn't he? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:19 But that would be wise. You're calm. No, I'll just shelter in place. Okay. Then it's gonna turn. Now it's their turn. All right. They're gonna come out asking you for help.
Starting point is 01:00:34 because they've been. We've been stuck in his digestive track. We're just slaughtering them. We didn't even say anything or do anything to you guys. I'm gonna say, I need, first off, I need Keelith Vax, sorry, Keelith, Vex, and Percival to make a dexterity saving throw, please. Oh, shit, right. Natural 20!
Starting point is 01:00:54 Nice. Keelet X. I was so close to being a natural 20. Not natural 20, but a 20 nonetheless. Okay. No, any signs with that. Uh-huh. Would you get Keelith?
Starting point is 01:01:07 On Forever Dexterous. Inthunity. 12. All right. Oh, no. Bye. Oh, you're sucked on the ground? What?
Starting point is 01:01:15 No! No! Ground like raised up? Did they turn us to stone? No. What did they do? Kieleth, you all of a sudden watch the one behind you that is barely holding on. It angrily goes, slams its fist into the ground, and from the sudden vibration, the earth seems to rise up
Starting point is 01:01:39 underneath and attempt to swallow you. Both Vex and Percival, you both grab each of his hands and leap into the air, and it just passes under your feet. However, Keleth is not fast enough. Yep, and get swallowed as it closes up around her, and now there's a giant pile of earth and rock where Keelith is buried within restrained. You both managed to move out of the way.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Vax sees that and is not worried. Cold-hearted, man. Cold-hearted. She's fine. She's fine. She's killed as well. This guy's going to move up there, and this guy's going to move up here. Very to like.
Starting point is 01:02:13 This guy's going to go ahead and attempt to pummel the shit out of a Scanlan. It's going to make two slam attacks against you. That is a 20. And a 21. Yeah. All righty. You take 16 points of bludgeoning damage, and 17 points of bludgeoning damage. Oh.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Ooh. And you watch as it should. Slips into the wall and vanishes. God, dang it. You can make an attack opportunity against it. However, I'm giving it three quarters cover as it pulls just at a melee range and is mostly within the wall. So it gets plus five to armor class.
Starting point is 01:02:53 I will swing my sword at it. With advantage, because I just inspired someone. That's true. Nice. The first one was better. 17 plus 10. That actually hits. We won't have been caught for get you some action once every two years.
Starting point is 01:03:12 You hear the voice of David Bowie. Okay. I actually don't know. So it says it's a plus three long sword. Does that mean it's 1D8 plus 3? 1D8 plus 3 plus your strength. So it's 1D8 plus 4. And then.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Last month of our campaign and Sam doesn't have one. I rolled a 1. And then, so that's 5. So that's five, but it also says, somewhere in here deals an additional 1D6 force damage. Ooh! Oh yeah. One.
Starting point is 01:03:49 So, hey, six three points of damage. We roll two ones in that point. It vanishes somewhere inside the wall, you're not entirely sure where. Two attacks on you, Percival. That is 28. Oh my God. And 19. Yeah. Both?
Starting point is 01:04:08 Yeah. Dang, first. 16 points of bludgeoning damage. 16? Yep. And... Oh, shit! 15 points bludging you damage. Shit. Okay.
Starting point is 01:04:20 What? On a retreating enemy, I get to cast a spell. Yeah, warcaster. Yeah. Well, next time. Next time. Sorry, we got to see a rare sword. That's irritating. That's against you and against Vax.
Starting point is 01:04:31 That is a 22. Oh, wait, that's Pike. Hold on. Okay. The spell sign. Yes, it hits me. And 21. My armaclass is 21. So let me see.
Starting point is 01:04:40 All right. You take 14 points of bludgeoning damage. And another 14 points of bludgeoning damage. Oh. Poop. And then both of these guys. Do we get an attack opportunity? You do.
Starting point is 01:04:55 With the plus 530. This guy sinks into the ground. Can we shoot him with the arrow as he sinks into it? No. No. So I'm going to take a swing. All right. That hits.
Starting point is 01:05:08 Actually, I. I crit only with my guns on a 19, right? I don't put it in my sword. No, the... Did we get a light solution already? No, because I'm throwing that... I'm pretty sure you crit on 19 or 20 regardless. This is kind of the...
Starting point is 01:05:21 Okay. But the hemorrhaging shot element doesn't happen. The hemorrhaging shot obviously doesn't happen even though it's a magic. That's fine. Hemorrhaging shot? So I'll take my... Have we ever seen meth?
Starting point is 01:05:31 That's a, like, a ridiculous thing to hit. That's a, yeah, 29-3-32 to hit. Yeah, yeah. So that's 1 of the 8. Times 2 plus 7, and it's silvered, if that matters. Yeah, that's 16 points of piercing damage. So it's 15 points of piercing damage. Cool. So you strike out as it disappears into the wall and vanishes.
Starting point is 01:05:59 This guy here ships in the wall. He vanished. He vanished. We're all vanishing. Well, not this guy. They're still woke. Well, good. Maybe they're running away. And the guy who's right there is going to go ahead and take the wall.
Starting point is 01:06:09 two strikes at U-Graw. Oh, bring it. Um. They both hit. They're reckless. Yep. Yep. And the other attack is.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yep, both hit. Yeah. So that's 16 points of bludgeon damage reduced to eight. Okay. And 12 points pledging damage reduced to six. Can I take my retaliation strike against him? You can. Lovely.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Reckless great way, but I'm up. Come on. Natural Friday! Hey! Turn him into paste. Squish him! Okay. Make a building out of him.
Starting point is 01:06:47 I don't know. I'm doing it. Oh, I re-roll ones and two's. Okay. Eleven, that's not right. You can also bonus service as a script. 36.
Starting point is 01:06:59 42. I've got David Bowie in my head. Oh, you know, that's choosing. 48. 48. 48. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 01:07:12 What product? 52. Is that doubled, then you doubled everything and took your extra extra tricks? I've been practicing. Okay. So, as it slams with both fists in you with one giant over the head as it impacts you, you grab with one hand the back of its fist and grin and then bring the axe straight up into its torso with one hand. It strikes and splits open part of its rock chest and you hear this
Starting point is 01:07:37 which it reforms again, but still it's taking the brunt of the air. impact. And it's now going to shift into the wall, which you can't attack because you already use your reaction. That ends their turn, Kieleth, you're up. You're currently buried, you're blinded. Okay. I am going to concentrate for a second and then go Earth Elemental. Okay. And now that I'm Earth Elemental, I have tremors since. Can I sense where these other motherfuckers are? You can feel where they are, yeah. You can sense them moving through the ground. So you are. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Everybody know. Everybody does. But I want to be underground. I'm there, but I'm still underground right now. Right, and I'm marking your place. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Underground. Put on your earth-line shoes and dance.
Starting point is 01:08:30 Okay, I want to go right in the center of as many of them as I can hit and take a cue from Scanlan and do a thunder wave. Underground. As you're Earth elemental, because you're Earth Elemental, because You have... Because I can cast in wild shape now. He's going to the phone. Oh shit.
Starting point is 01:08:51 It's only forever. So if they're healing when we hit them, do you think they're healing when they go back in the wall? Probably. Let me see you're all fast. They're going to be gone in a couple. What is, I don't know what I'm writing, but... Let's see.
Starting point is 01:09:06 Thunderwave, what are the components of Thunderwave? I will look for you. Thunderwave is verbal and semantic, right? Right? The only... V-S. Correct. Dude, that is a badass. Which, I mean, makes making sure
Starting point is 01:09:20 because there is a slight limitation to Druid spellcasting in beast form. You're probably still good, but I'm not using material comes on. Is he bigger? Is he bigger than he was? Let me. That's me.
Starting point is 01:09:32 That's me, baby. That's me. Should have seen the green. Yeah, verbal and semantic, so you can do that. Yeah! I'm going to do it at third level too. 15-foot cube, the most guys you could hit would be probably these two here clustered together. Otherwise, everyone else is just a one hit. It's a 15-foot radius from you. It's a 15-foot cube originating from you, meaning it's a 15, it's not a radial thing.
Starting point is 01:09:57 It's like a poof. Oh, cool. Got it, got it, got it, got it. Then I'll take those two dudes. So that's why Vax's feathers were prickling. So you shift through over here, beneath the ground. That's so cool. Oh, yeah. Underground. Look how much bigger she is in those books.
Starting point is 01:10:17 It's not a great role, but it'll do. It's a great mini-man. You get to re-roll. That was a gift from out there. Was it? What? The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army
Starting point is 01:10:34 scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time. Starting point is 01:12:22 This is Mick Unplug, the voice and face of modern leadership entrepreneur and self-improvement. Let's get started. 13 and a 17. So now they're make-through safe. So that is 16 times two. So 32 damage to both of them. 32 points of damage to both. Did they make saves?
Starting point is 01:12:53 No. So they get pushed as well. They also get pushed in feet. Well, you get pushed if they weren't in the middle of the rock. They glide on the road. They stay put. Sure. All right, so as you
Starting point is 01:13:09 outward, you send the shockwave and you guys hear this loud, thunderous, Clean at the ground, you watch as rock and dirt is thrown from this wall. Poor Trinket is like spattered with rock and dirt and spins around. You're okay, you're okay. That wall is not looking very sturdy right now. The Thunderwave has structurally damaged this whole portion of the cavern right now.
Starting point is 01:13:34 This whole thing was coming apart. To that ends Keelot's turn? Pikes up. Okay. What about between Grog and Scanlan? That way if one comes out by either of them, she's there. Get Trinket away from that wall. Well, I would if it was Trinket's turn. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Pyg's gonna run down and stand between Scanlan and Grog. Punch the mace and light that shit up. Yeah. Blow hair out of her face. Yeah, so Grace just like beacon of light. And then she's gonna hold her action until a thing appears. What is she holding? Like attacking.
Starting point is 01:14:15 So one of them, yeah, an attack. Yeah, physical attack. So as soon as one appears, she's just gonna Swing. Okay. Good. So she's holding that. And Spike's turn on top of the round. Percival, you're up. I'm going to... No bonus action. What? Mm-hmm. Zim. Well, I'm going to use my bonus action. I'm going to kind of, since there's nothing to attack at the moment,
Starting point is 01:14:32 I'm going to move to slightly to the other end of that little precipice that I'm on. Over where keel it disappeared. Oh, over the side? Yeah, just to sort of get away from things. Okay. I'm going to use my bonus action to do a heel. And we came from this way. You guys traveled this way, and this is where you sell us at the right and left to split. Oh, right. That was embarrassing. So that's, yeah, 11. That's great.
Starting point is 01:14:57 And then I'm going to hold my attack until something approaches. Okay, so you just get your weapon ready. You're holding it for any sort of movement out of a wall. Got it. Got it. Grog, you're up. Why don't we just leave? There's one here.
Starting point is 01:15:11 Let's just go. That's how I'm doing. So there's no enemies in sight? Currently no. Can I just like run as far as I can? as far as I can just right. Yep. Is that like 5, 10, 15, and 20?
Starting point is 01:15:23 That's 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 is what you can get right there. I'll take it. All right, so that's your movement. Yep. I'm gonna hold my attack until something stupid shows me its face. Okay, good to know. All right, that ends your turn.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Vex. Okay. I'm gonna call it, get away from the wall. So he's going to run down next to grog. Okay. And then I'm going to kick off and get on my broom so I'm off the ground. Okay, so you get up and you're now lifted up in the air bit. I'm so far. You're so blonde?
Starting point is 01:16:06 No, I can see. Two lights are. Okay. I believe I can. What? Plog? Yeah. Fucking die.
Starting point is 01:16:17 I believe I can touch. What does he touch? The sky? The sky? You got to get. I think about it. Who. Never singing on character.
Starting point is 01:16:31 Don't. Don't. Don't speak. Don't. I know. Just watch. How high is the ceiling in here? You are right up against the ceiling.
Starting point is 01:16:41 It's about 12 to 15 feet. Yeah, I only want to be, I just kind of want to hover right in the middle. I don't want to be high up. I want to be like in between the ceiling of the floor. Okay. You're talking about a head's height up. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:54 And I'm gonna hold my action until I can see one of those things. Arrow's notch, ready to fire? Okay. That brings us to Vax. Can I move like 10 feet, maybe closer to Scanlan, and do the classic Van Dam movement and stand between, like, stalactites in the ceiling and hide with my bonus action? Right here? Yeah, and hide in the ceiling.
Starting point is 01:17:17 What? Are you doing the splits for now? No, just using my... Feet for that. No, my hands are occupied. You are full on the band. You're doing the ball. Make a self-check. Yeah, baby.
Starting point is 01:17:29 Make a split check. Oh my God. Do I still have sneaky sneak from you? Trace is still, oh, no. No, no, 100's marked. That's fine, that's fine. Pike, get out of the way. Don't you talk to her like that.
Starting point is 01:17:43 27. Okay. And I'll hold my attack action. Okay. Scanlan. We're all holding our shit. But the minute something shows we're all going to be like, boom! But nothing's going to show. Nothing's going to show.
Starting point is 01:17:59 Which way were we going when all this shit happened? You're traveling this way, and this was the split in the path ahead. So we're heading left. Should we be trying to get out of here? That's right. Let's get out of here. We don't need this. By the way, we're supposed to go to the left. Oh yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 01:18:16 I would have made a run if I'd been thinking about it. What's right? The left? I will go 25 feet the same direction Grog went in, because that's all I can run. It'll get you up here next to Percival. Oh, no! Right before you see the story. Five points of bludgeoning.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Stop it. Sorry, Perce. This thing means something to serve us. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm going to go the opposite direction. I don't want to be in this fucking cluster. It's a mess up there.
Starting point is 01:18:47 No, that's just the opposite. just the opposite direction. We are the heroes. This is the way we came from. What? It doesn't matter, but we're clustered. I don't care. I'm getting away from you fuckers,
Starting point is 01:18:57 but I'm turning invisible. They come out. Peace. Question is, should you turn invisible then run? Yeah, you can still sense you. Oh shit. I don't know these things. We don't know that you even got sucked under.
Starting point is 01:19:17 And if you attack your invisibility drugs. You're just a wee small bar guy. Oh, you got a fucking Shut up! That's so cool! You've got an invisible woman mini! All right. That is my daughter's miniature. Dad is red.
Starting point is 01:19:30 And as bonus action, I will healing word myself. We have the healing word first. Huh? Oh, since you get first. Since you cast the spell, you lose invisibility. So I would do it first. Yeah, okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:19:42 All right. Oh, shit. Seven more one. Shit, here it comes. First off, let's see. Deuce is wild. Light them up. Light them up. This one is going to emerge from under the ground.
Starting point is 01:19:55 Do I get an attack of opportunity? Hold on. You do not. What's the range on your fists? 50 feet. 10 feet. If it's a 10 foot range in the elemental, then you would, but. It doesn't say. How do you know? I mean you're big. Under the slam attack, it should say range five foot. No. No. It doesn't, no.
Starting point is 01:20:18 Damn it. Okay. I just don't. I just don't. I just don't, okay. No, reach 10 feet. It does say reach 10 feet. That's what I was asking for. Yes.
Starting point is 01:20:29 I didn't know. I was looking for it. It's at the bottom. You can use an action to take opportunity on it. Okay, okay, okay. As he glides away from you and underneath, you get one swing at him. He gets a plus five to his AC.
Starting point is 01:20:42 Actually, no, he would because he ever. 21. 21 hits, go to hold damage with the fist. Yeah, slum attack. He just slam him with him the stone. That's fine. I love that you're actually being a badass where no one can see. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 01:20:56 15. 15. Okay. All right. You slam it, your fist, just gliding through the rock like it was air, and slamming into the side, pushing it even further forward. It swoops underneath. And with a giant uppercut as it emerges from the ground, the earth swings up to try and consume both grog and shrink it. I need you both to make a dexterity same way.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Oh, no. Trink it and groin. Oh, no! Oh, no, he rolled him one! Oh, no, this was a fan gift. 15. 15. Both of you, your vision goes dark as the Earth rises up to consume the space around you.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Both Grog and Trinket are currently restrained and blinded within the Earth. Is Trinket right next to Grog at least? Yeah, within a close area. Then you put him and make him feel comfortable. Oh! Oh. It's too late for that.
Starting point is 01:21:51 I would say so. The actions already have. If you want or you can. It's worth there for it. 18. 18. All right, you just barely managed to- Oh!
Starting point is 01:22:01 No, Triggins all alone! You are most gracious. So as the ground of the rock comes up to consume you, it covers over both of you, and there's a brief moment of silence before Grog just burst out and steps up onto the stone, unaffected by the impact. And that's his full speed, so it can't Earth glide again. This one here is going to scoot and appear right around the edge on that side. That's in range for me?
Starting point is 01:22:31 It is, yes. Roll perception check. Yeah, that's the thing. 24. That hits, and it does hit. 26. All right, that does manage, you do see it, so you can't. Yeah, sorry, I got a notification on my iPad that went like, no music.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Music. Am I effectively sneak attacking the full? No. All right. Strange the tremor sense. As you put your feet against the stalagite stage. Sharp shooter for both. The first one definitely hits. The second one is 18. That hits. Awesome. 28 and 26 for me. Are you fucking kidding me? He's not Hunter's marked. 38 combined for my two. 27 combined. 27 combined. Damned. Yeah. Okay. As you both, as it emerges from behind, you watch as it brings back at both of its fists to attempt to slam into the ground where Scanlan is currently standing.
Starting point is 01:23:45 You can't see me. Don't worry. Yeah. His heavy footfalls still touching and moving the earth in the vicinity. It's tremor's sense still notifying of it. It's your base location. As he goes to swing with both its fists. I'm just like locking him. A flurry of daggers and arrows go flying through the air. slamming into it before its fist can come down, its chest is just detonated from the impact.
Starting point is 01:24:12 The rock and shale scattering against the sides of the wall, its form destroyed and scattered. Wow. That was a pretty killer twin moment. Yeah, it was. I was. I've got to ask when a creepy rock guy popped up near me. Is he within like my held action?
Starting point is 01:24:25 Unfortunately, no. He's about 10 feet from you. Be hidden space because Bear was closer to him. I just stare at him. Yes, you do. Barely. This fellow here emerges right behind Percival, some of the drop there,
Starting point is 01:24:42 and is going to attempt to make two swing attacks at you. I'd make two attacks on him before anything happens anyway. Oh, shit. So go for it. He's a little drunk, he's got a soldierling going on. Yeah, he's like, whee. That's a right. Is this with your gun?
Starting point is 01:24:56 No, this is sword. Yeah. Too close. I knew they would jump, so. That's 22 and 24. I need more coffee. You're at your most dashing when you use your sword. Coffee?
Starting point is 01:25:13 I need coffee. That's 14. 26 points of damage. All right. Oh wait. I get three attacks, don't I? That's right. Yeah, one more. That's right. 26 points of damage plus, oh yeah, that definitely hits.
Starting point is 01:25:30 Frank, that's a cool boy. Plus eight more points of damage. Greg, that's all job. All righty. So as it emerges in the wall, coming towards you, you just do this triple strike against it, and it manages to carve across part of its chest, but its momentum is still strong,
Starting point is 01:25:46 and both fists come to the side to hit you, and to rattle you from both sets, that is a 16, and a 24. And that hits. Ah, cool! You managed to deflect one blow, that one clocks you on the side of the head. That is 11 points of bludgeoning damage.
Starting point is 01:26:03 All right, and now I just did. This fella here. This is going to swoop over and slam the ground near Pike. Oh good. She can attack him if he's right there. The range on this is a 10 by 10 foot cube, so he's going to do it before he gets within melee range of her. She's right there. So as it glides towards her, slams the ground and the earth is going to attempt to consume her. She needs to make a dexterity saving.
Starting point is 01:26:29 I want to do it. Okay, you do it. I should not have claimed to this. What bad dice? Should it? Let me know, wait a little, let me go. We don't have anything. It is a big seven.
Starting point is 01:26:41 No. And with that, the ground consumes Pike, who is now currently buried and blinded. Sorry, Ashok. She was seen within. She was in her action though. And with the rest of its movement, we got it. We're gonna get her out.
Starting point is 01:26:56 We're gonna get her out. You deck. We'll say, yeah, it'll just sink into the ground, just that it'll just sink into the ground, just at a ring. God, darn it. I'll put it here, just to mention where it is, but consider it's not prone and it's underground. He gave it right now.
Starting point is 01:27:15 And you're gonna die tonight. With such dedication. This one here is gonna swing forth up out of the ground. She already took one. One reaction. This one actually bursts out of the ground into a leap towards you. As it kind of emerges, it looks up and sees you just within its range, because it does have a bit of a reach.
Starting point is 01:27:38 It leaps to go ahead and make two. two swings at you. Natural one. You managed to pull back with the broom and it just goes swings wide. It lands on the ground. It's going to attempt to go with another upper cut in your direction. That is a 15.
Starting point is 01:27:51 It doesn't hit. I just put my foot on its fist and like, like that. Ding! No effect on that. And that's going on its turn. That was his full move. All right, so that brings us to Keyleth. Okay. Do I see Trinket?
Starting point is 01:28:05 What about we? Underground. You can sense Trinket is currently better. And Anne. Oh, Jesus, so scared the shit out of me. You just said I want coffee and you got coffee? I know, I didn't think anybody was gonna do it, really? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:28:17 I want a pony. I want ice cream. I'm flying in the air. I want that powerball winning. Anyone can do it, Ryan Greenkis. All righty. So, Keeleaf, you can sense Trinkett is buried over there. And Pike, both.
Starting point is 01:28:33 Pike is buried. Is it a roll. Do I go for the bear? Do I go for the gnome? You go for the gnome. All right, can I get to pike in 50 feet? What's your movement? 50 feet glide?
Starting point is 01:28:44 Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can't, I'm just saying it's polite. You can. You can. And you get right up to, well, not that's going to take it. Okay. Can I kind of very gently grab the gnome and then siege monster,
Starting point is 01:29:02 bust us out? Make a strength check, I'll give you advantage because you are a siege monster. Because you're a siege monster. Gunga make a strength. A prestige monster. She's like reaching to a sack for you, even though it's the Earth.
Starting point is 01:29:14 It's like there, he said. I will take that 17. That is much better for a 22. With no issue, you just punch through the mass of rock and earth right there, and you emerge out of it like a shurriuken, clutching the pike in your left arm as you land back on your elemental feet in that space,
Starting point is 01:29:34 freeing both of you. No visual. No. You know. Yeah, yeah. Look at that. You just sounds like a concrete mixer. Gunts.
Starting point is 01:29:44 All right. I believe that's your turn? I can't do anything else, probably. Pipe can, because it's her turn. You did enough. But Pipe can, so holding a little pike like a voodoo doll, like a flashlight. Do things! Do things!
Starting point is 01:30:01 That means she can still attack? She can, yeah. She can't see anything, though. No, she can now. Kila's just pulled her out of the room. Rublin is holding her in front. I mean, no, I mean there's nothing to attack in front of her. What's this thing around?
Starting point is 01:30:12 Yeah, she's underground. He's underground. Underground? So there's two above ground, but they're behind her. Yeah. But I'm holding Pike. Can she see? Can you throw her?
Starting point is 01:30:20 But you have to be able, we're holding a physical action, so you have to like, she has to be next to something in order to attack it. Oh. That's what might have happened either. Yeah, she can do whatever she wants to be. It would be an action to chuck her though, right? Yeah, she already pulled her freeway.
Starting point is 01:30:33 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Drop me, draw me, draw me on the ground. Your movement? Did you use on your movement? She did. To get there. Well, actually, you have 10 more feet if you wanted to. Can you get within 10 feet of something? Five feet? No. No, unfortunately, no.
Starting point is 01:30:45 I mean, we could just generally drop her where the thing disappeared. It's still a crapshoot, but it's better than nothing. She's close enough right now. Yeah. Yeah. Drum me on the ground, Keelith. Oh, great. It sets the gnome down on the ground.
Starting point is 01:31:02 Okay. She'll turn. Now it's Pike's going to still just hold her turn. Oh man. Should she get, but she do like a cantrip? She should do a resistance or something? She could do it on herself, just in case. Yeah, cast resistance on herself.
Starting point is 01:31:16 But that's an action, it's not a bonus. Okay, instead she's just gonna look at the ground and go, massage! Okay, just hold her action to attack. Perfect. Percival, you're up, top the round. I'm gonna pull out the gun and take three shots at that thing that's swinging at Vex. Okay, go for it.
Starting point is 01:31:33 Flap, plop, plop, plop. But what hell? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So that's, oohf, that's close. So that's a 19? 19 hits? Then the rest of them hit two. Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:48 So that's, let's get some D-Tans out. You need some mold? No, I got enough. D-K. Some D-Tans and some D-6s. So here we go. Look at his jacket and hat. So being berserk.
Starting point is 01:32:03 So down there. Five, six, seven. Five, six, seven. That's 12 points of psychic damage. And then you're a, I don't know what that was. There is weird, yeah. Yeah. Well, the first shot, as you reach over and fire at that one, you hit it and- Oh, well, in that case, I was like, and then that's just say that.
Starting point is 01:32:25 You watch as it just scatters and just stones across the floor. I'll put the first shot at that then and then just shift the next two to the other one. They did the same age. Okay, so that's seven points of psychic damage, and 16, 16, 21 of us have slept in days. 16, 24, and 36 points of normal damage. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:32:43 It's also skittishness because we know we're all going to die. So as the second one does blast it, there, and there's a large chunk out of its, like, torso and side area, it still stands there with its angered, arms open, ready to swing, or whatever comes at it. Okay, I'm, I'm good. All right. Then it's Percival's turn, grog, you're up. Oh, hey, can I run over to...
Starting point is 01:33:04 over to the thing. Standing a bug trinket now. No. Just a pound to earth, right? I don't hear anything or see any fur or claws. Not in a rage, you don't. Fuck that shit. Just reckless great weapon master attack.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Old bony face. Oh, that's terrible. That's better. Thank God for reckless. I'm sorry. 30, round is probably 25. That is? Yes.
Starting point is 01:33:36 30. 30 plus. 30. Plus the necrotic damage. I'm right, though. That's what I'm going to be aiming at Roddington. Second to Turk. All right.
Starting point is 01:33:49 He said wrong. They said just a flash of a icon. Yeah, exactly. 26. All right. That hits. That hits. That's terrible.
Starting point is 01:33:59 That's a blink. No, that's the double wink. That's 20. 28. Oh, 38. 38. OK. As you stand over Tringet, the first
Starting point is 01:34:09 cleaves into the center of its chest and wedges itself there. And you see the rocks kind of like forming over the axe, almost trying to pull it into its body to pull up from your grip. And as you do, instead you reach down and put your foot onto its chest and yank it outward. And as you do, as most of it began to form it over the axe, it just bisects it in two and it then crumples into a pile of a third. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:28 Meh. Yeah. You still have 45 feet of it. Feet a bit of it. Strong shot. Four cry. I'm going to run. Should I run down this tunnel and see what's dead?
Starting point is 01:34:44 Yeah. I should. Yeah. No, no. He's raging. He doesn't have logic. Whatever you want. Can I see him from work? Do whatever makes you feel.
Starting point is 01:34:54 This enemy? Yeah, I'd say you can. He's emerged. You can see the movement. I'll run up and join Percy. Okay, so you charge up, a side leap onto this platform of soft earth and rock. And it's right there next to you. Nice. Thank you. Vex.
Starting point is 01:35:11 Okay, I'm gonna move my Hunter's Mark over to that dude. Yep. All right. Waw, wah, wah, wah. And then I'm gonna attack him with sharpshooter. Did you reduce? Yep. Sounded touch.
Starting point is 01:35:27 Or rainsticks. 15. 20? 20 hits, yeah. Okay. Okay. This is so weird. This is super serious guys.
Starting point is 01:35:42 Super, super super serious. Four lightning damage. Okay. You'll be sleeping a lot of running. Yeah, yeah. 10. 25. 28 for the first arrow.
Starting point is 01:35:57 Plus the four lightning damage. And then the second attack is also a sharpshooter and it's a... That one hits. That one hits. Okay. You can with minus five? Yes.
Starting point is 01:36:10 Okay. Definitely. Sam, when everyone leaves, all their stress will enter you and I. Okay. I'm very excited about that. Six lightning damage. All right.
Starting point is 01:36:23 All right. How much? That's like, 19. All right. Oh, and I didn't add. So plus 20 to both of the, like plus 20 overall because of the sharp theater.
Starting point is 01:36:34 Yep. All right. 10 and 10. As you see it crawling towards Percival trying to grow and leap at it, and Grog leaps up in its way, there's a very little space that you actually see its movement. And as you watch Grog pull back with the axe to almost go for a secondary strike, that brief opening, you see you have both arrows not, and release them both the same time. As it does, it just sinks into both of the sockets where the dark void of its eyes were, and it goes,
Starting point is 01:37:00 and then falls into scattered pieces of rock. Yes. You're welcome. Oh, very nice. Nice job. All right. Do you want to move or stay where you are? I'm going to stay.
Starting point is 01:37:15 All right. Back syrup. Wait, what about Trinket? Can he like try to save against it or? I can say, you have Trinket. We'll say I'll give you an action for Trinket instead of an attack to take to break free. So make a strength check. Strength saving throw.
Starting point is 01:37:29 I don't know what the difference for a saving throw for Trinket would be. Whatever the strength modifier is you added to it. Okay, 15. 15, unfortunately, cannot break free. It's not strong enough. It's too much rubble and too much rock. Can I hear it? Does he make nois? You listen, you hear like the shifting of rock.
Starting point is 01:37:44 That's it, but you don't hear any beer. I don't even know it's Trinket, do I? Yeah, you don't. I ate my bow at it. Oh. Okay, back's what you're doing. I'm gonna fly over and land on Keelith's shoulder and hold my attack for as soon as the fuck not appears.
Starting point is 01:38:00 Okay. Sounds good. Perch. Big on. Like your own personal raven. Yeah. All right, any backs to turn, Scanlan, you're up. I will use my insane climbing speed of ten.
Starting point is 01:38:16 Ten. To climb up that tree-like stalag mite, right? It's a mite. This technically is like a root. And you climb up into it. I climb up that. That's a tree, yeah. And I will hold it.
Starting point is 01:38:33 hold my attack until I see something come out of somewhere. Okay, so your weapons at the ready. My wand of magic missiles. Okay, nice. Got it. Great. All right, so that ends gown's turn. At this point, shifting beneath the ground and emerging from behind,
Starting point is 01:38:55 right there behind pike. She's attacking him. She's attacking him. She's attacking him. She's a first. She's going to attack with her. Okay, but it gets to act first. Does it? No, no, she gets out first.
Starting point is 01:39:07 She was holding her attack. So as soon as it emerges. Yeah, so that's 24 to attack. 24 to attack, or that hits? And she will use divine what's it. Divine Strike. She always gets that now. She always gets that around.
Starting point is 01:39:21 Once around. So that's 2D6, plus 4 radiate damage. So 10, 14, plus 2D8. And then 2D8. 4. I thought that wouldn't look off. Oh, I don't, should that count? Because it was, I didn't intentionally roll.
Starting point is 01:39:39 Now put it in again. Do it again. It's not as good as unintentional, but that's okay. 19. 19? Yeah. Does she just attack the ones? Yes.
Starting point is 01:39:50 Yeah. And if it's still standing, dagga, dagger, dagger. Well, as a, hold on. Let me check one thing a little fast as the war cleric. I should go steal one of the eight that we have in our office. Actually, yeah, this is a bonus. actually to do that. So yeah. I guess that one. How does Pike want to do this?
Starting point is 01:40:15 She goes, great. I can't see anything because I'm Oh, come on. You can see you're big. She does an underswing right up between its legs and hits it in the goolies. And as she does, the glowing mace, the beacon like weapon that she wheels just scatters upward breaking layer after layer of rock and earth. And as it does, its upper torso just explodes into the ceiling, a shower of small pebbles and errant pieces of earth go just smeared across the wall and scatters up the ground. Yeah, Untamed Monster!
Starting point is 01:40:49 Monster! She gives it three or four more hits on the ground just out of frustration. Yeah, because she got trapped. Yeah. Please go rescue the bear. I go rescue the bear. Be careful, I think there's another elemental right there. Or are there any more?
Starting point is 01:41:05 I think trinkets are not one. Right. America, boom. As you guys all make your way over. to the pile as it's shifting and moving, you all prepare your weaponry for what might emerge. Make a perception check, Vex. Oh no.
Starting point is 01:41:24 Don't you make me attack my own bear? 17? That's plenty. Now, the moment you see some of the movement push through a claw begins to emerge from it, and your arrow pulls back ready to release, but the moment's there, you immediately wonder, like, how could you have made that person?
Starting point is 01:41:44 Mistake. Trinket! I'll run down. I'll rush over me and help trinket free. I place my hand on the shoulder and say, I'm sorry, I know this is hard for you. The bear lives. And I say from the top of the tree, I don't know who you're touching,
Starting point is 01:41:59 but I'm up on top of a tree. I'm flying. Are you invisible? There's a lot of rules in this game. That's my dick you're touching. Staying on theme for the night. Yes, I know it lives for now. I was holding my action, I could blast the bear with my wand.
Starting point is 01:42:20 You fuck. She wouldn't even know where it was coming from. I would see it the minute you attacked. She's right. She's right. She's right. So with each, as this battle has transpired in the length of one stride of the Titan,
Starting point is 01:42:39 as the other footfall lands. What do that? portion of the wall begins to like shake and fall in and this side of the tunnel begins to collapse slightly. You go for it. Caleb blocks as much as she can and goes, No, run.
Starting point is 01:42:54 I think she's saying run. So as you guys dart down and head left into the hallway, actually your elemental form allows you with quite a bit of strength to kind of force it and prevent it from causing the entire tunnel to collapse. Just half of it does. And holding that space, you guys are going to charge down the left side of the tunnel. As a running, I cast past the other trace again. Should I? Sure, sure.
Starting point is 01:43:19 And I pat your big stony face and give it a kiss and fly down on. Okay, never mind. I don't catch it. Okay. As you guys continue on the left path for about 50 or so feet, it curves rapidly to the left and stops at a cylindrical chamber. It's still like a cavernous space. but it has a cylindrical shape to it,
Starting point is 01:43:44 about 40 feet in diameter, about 50 feet tall at its apex. And in the center of it, you see what appears to be a partially collapsed dark stone pavilion or small temple. Bottom in the middle. You guys turning, and it's in the center of this chamber that rises up before you in the center of this small, almost egg-shaped opening the space. And you see this made of like a deep, dark, grayish,
Starting point is 01:44:10 almost black stone structure that looks beautifully made. The craftwork is distinctly dwarven. Is it old? You can go make an investigation check on it if you'd like. I'm going to do divine sense again. Okay. For undead. They're everywhere. Okay.
Starting point is 01:44:24 You do sense. Specifically location. Specifically within the depth, like the heart of this structure. Okay. Is this? No. This is like, no. Not mountain.
Starting point is 01:44:40 No. This is Titan. This is... This favorite terrain. This would be considered, technically it would be subterranean. It would be like an underground. Okay. So not like under dark. The structure, however, is somewhat damaged from a collapse of one side of the wall.
Starting point is 01:44:59 You watch it, it looks like part of the chamber on the right side has come loose, and this rock slide has jammed into the side of the structure. And looking past kind of the cross-slide, kind of the cross-and-and-and-the-side of the structure. And looking past kind of the cross. craggy piles of loose rock. You can see what looks to be shattered glass across the ground. And part of the rock is the rock slide is pushed into one of these glass panels that marks the exterior of this small, a gazebo-like temple structure. It seems to have filled, from what you can see at least at this distance, a portion of the interior of it as well. There is a
Starting point is 01:45:32 certain, like there's a double door in the front that is currently closed, and the right side of the door is buried partially by the remainder of this front. rock slide that has come to a halt at the base of the structure. Do we know what gods, dwarves worshipped? Do they have specific gods? Make a religion check. These are dead dwarfs. Yeah, but just.
Starting point is 01:45:50 Pike starts whispering, I can technically destroy dead things, so if we sneak me up to the outside of the wall, I might just be able to, you know. I mean, you ran into the Allfather's space before, but not every dwarf worships the All-Fathers space before, but not every dwarf worships the all-fathers. father. Just like any other free race in the world, religion is up for grabs. Knowing the history of this city, would we know what this is? You don't know what this is at first glance. The structure, it seems ceremonial or at least important.
Starting point is 01:46:25 It seems to be placed here with intent away from a large part of society. It's sort of a crypt or anything like that. Or very expensive crypt. It could be. Do we see the inside of the gazebo type structure? Could we get closer to see it. How big is it, too? How big is it? It's about maybe, I'd say, 35 feet wide. It almost fills the entirety of the chamber. There's like a slight space behind it, except for the fact that part of the law collapsed into it and is kind of bearing the right side of the structure. Can you get stained glass, colored glass?
Starting point is 01:46:55 Looking at the glass, it's multiple colors. It looks to be a stained glass. It's a thick, it's a thick glass. And there is one intact window of stained glass on the opposite side, and there is the double doors currently that keep it shut. Is there an image on the stained glass? Is it depicting something? It looks to depict a dwarvish-like figure adorned in golden armor that stands at the top, the precipice of a mountain, with a series of smaller dwarf-like entities and shadow all around looking up at it. It's very simple when you get up close to it. I bet it's a crypt. The further back you go, it's a beautiful arrangement. I bet that means that it's trapped, and I bet that means that there's something expensive and interesting inside. DM question, because I can't remember for sure. Didn't in our story somewhere we come up
Starting point is 01:47:44 with a solution for Pike's noisiness? Something that quieted her down. She had stealth boots. Yes, they were boots that gave her advantage on stealth, which meant that she just made a regular role. Regular role. Regular role. Yes.
Starting point is 01:47:57 We made her that armor that we never went back and picked up. Yeah, but it doesn't matter because she's got the Don Martyr. Plates of the Don Martyr. Okay, she can cast guidance on herself to help with that role. I'm with you, I think this thing has a yield. Yeah, I'm feeling it.
Starting point is 01:48:10 Break all the glass. Go inside. I touch the ground, still my Earth-Elemental form, do I sense anything, tremorsence? Any vibrations? You feel for it? Nothing in the neat vicinity. However, another footfall hits from the Titan, and it causes the entirety of the chamber to quake,
Starting point is 01:48:26 and it's almost like, you know, when Superman opens up its perception too wide and hears all the voices, everything around you shakes with such an intense, like, Veracity, it causes your head to shake briefly. I have another DM question for Paladans. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any undead within 60 feet, so that kind of implies number.
Starting point is 01:48:48 If I know the location of any, so how many am I sensing? One. One. Okay. Do you know where? Can you sense where it is? It's in the center of this structure. All right, let's do this.
Starting point is 01:49:00 Oh, okay. You want to fly says it? I bet there's something really nice inside. Also, I mean, if Pike can get up and get a peek in, she could just take a first shot at turning it. Turn, stay turned. So they're the double doors, and then it's like a cave in on one side? On one side, and it's broken one of two sets of stained glass
Starting point is 01:49:23 in the front of it, and it seems to have filled part of the interior. Currently, there isn't enough space in that window to climb in, because it's just filled with rock. You could try and move stuff out of the way, or go through the doors or break the other window. Those are the only types of entrance you can try. And there's no other exit from this cylindrical chamber. This is like, okay.
Starting point is 01:49:40 I wonder what's on the other way. I wonder if getting Pike on the broom or the rug could improve her chances of sneaking up to the door as well and get a peek in and just try to turn whatever's inside. I mean, we can try it. I'll put Pike on the broom. Okay.
Starting point is 01:49:58 And then we'll fly over to the side of like the cave in. I mean, I can just earth glide under and like peek up. Yeah, but she can turn undead so that's the other. But how many times can she do that in a day? Uh, is it a pull trigger in once? Do we want to waste it on something we don't need? As an action.
Starting point is 01:50:17 As an action. Okay, it's an action. Yeah. Okay, you're just, you're just, you're just a spell. No. No. It's just a thing she can do. The channel divinity is there?
Starting point is 01:50:26 Yeah. It's just, it's just works. Okay. It's. Oh wait, you can use your channel divinity twice between rests. Okay, so she can do that. She's got a couple other things she can do with this. Is she 18th level?
Starting point is 01:50:41 She's 18th level. Oh, now she can do it three times between rests. It's worth a shot because we could one shot. Okay. She's 17th right now. She's 17. I don't know. I'll double check.
Starting point is 01:50:51 No, she just hit 18. Short. I just did. Yeah. So she's still 17. It's still 17. It's possible one shot. Might just be good.
Starting point is 01:50:58 Yeah, let's see what happens. Okay. Let's do it. Double check. Probably is. He's just on dead now. So we should try to get her in an, And turn him?
Starting point is 01:51:06 Yeah. Okay, yeah, let's do that. Just the rancher and the cleric. Or he is totally encased by the material and if we unearth him. It could be bad. Yeah. Or he's unearthed and just.
Starting point is 01:51:18 Yeah, he could be like locking up. Sleeping Dogs live. Yeah. Pazzy really wants to find treasure. Well, which is always a bad sign, but there it is. Yeah, let's do it. In what realm of possibility are we not going into this thing? Well, we could just turn around and walk away
Starting point is 01:51:34 and go try to find it. Don't wait up to the city. Have we ever done that? Go check that door before I do. All right, all right. We're doing it. You guys go. Check for traps.
Starting point is 01:51:42 Yeah, do I spot anything? Here comes the roll. Okay, okay, okay. I'm going to catch past without a trace on us now. I'm keeping my distance and pulling out the rifle and I'm going to, if anything, if anything, needs shooting, I'm going to shoot it. I'm going to be with them by this door. So you, checking for traps, investigation, right?
Starting point is 01:51:55 Okay. All right, so 20. As you go past the door, you look around it, you can see the door before you. It's part of the door before you. It's part of you. It's largely buried, and it isn't locked, but you can see there are some runic carvings along the perimeter of the doorway,
Starting point is 01:52:14 similar to what you saw earlier on pieces of stone when you first entered. And there are signs of forced entry. It looks like there are parts of the stone that have been chipped familiar to you from people that use crowbars or other materials to break into entry places. So it looks like there have been signs
Starting point is 01:52:31 of forced entry in the past. However, there's still a... undead thing inside. One. But no, I don't find any traps. It could just be a fight. To take away our stuff before we go to a bigger fight. Correct.
Starting point is 01:52:47 All you find is the door in the left appears to be unlocked and you could possibly push it open. And you see the dwarven riding all on the outside of the wall. Oh, come on. Yeah, come on. We're running out of time. Fuck. What are we fucking pretend.
Starting point is 01:53:05 Can we see, well, can we see, well, can, Pike, can I see into the hovel? Do you want to push the door open and have her look inside? Oh, it's closed. The door is closed, you can just see like, it looks like. Hold on, hold on, there are ruins of which I can read. Oh, five minutes go by. And.
Starting point is 01:53:21 Fucking don't knock it, all right, just be grateful. Can I try to take a look at the door? You may. Yeah. It takes you roughly 15 or so minutes. Oh, my God. My goodness is not wait for 15 minutes. Can we take a short rest?
Starting point is 01:53:36 Yeah, the wings vanish. You can take a short rest if you guys would like, so. While he's doing that? I'm Professor Rick. It'll take a while, so it'll lose your visibility. I mean, might as well. All right, so you guys can take your hit dice as a short rest. Your form reverts.
Starting point is 01:53:50 Which if you wanted to try and peek within, you couldn't anyway, because it's worked stone, you can't fly through that. So as you, the words you pull out from this are, the last king. Stowwart warrior of our mountain's secrets. His might unmatched, his will unbroken. His passing invites the madness. Shit.
Starting point is 01:54:14 Okay, all right. It's been worth the wait. It is the last king. There's like a secret buried with him and his death brought on the madness. So like there's definitely treasure with him down there. Unless it's already been raped. I think he's still in there and has maybe been like turning people mad. That would be my guess.
Starting point is 01:54:40 There's a king in there? What, say it again? King of the Dwar's. He's the last king. There's like the secret is with... Stoward warrior of our mountain secrets. The mountain... Stoutward warrior of mountain secrets. You know, when I'm turning them dead, if they're like little piddly guys, they kind of blow up. But if he's a king, he might not blow up.
Starting point is 01:55:03 up. Okay, then we can. So he might get scared of me or nothing. I don't know. Healed 19 points. Double pike is the best pike. Rock, you don't get the short rest, unfortunately. No, because you're studying. Thank you. I'm working real hard. Hey, for hit point counts here, I was under the impression that we had some like bonus hit points from some speech or something. We do. Yeah, have an additional. Do we heal those as well? Yes. Oh, you do? Yeah, it's plus 18 to your maximum hit points.
Starting point is 01:55:35 No, that's from Heroes Feast. But which you did not do that. You did not do. I'm sorry. It is just temporary hit points. It's temporary hit points from your speech. Those do not come back. But you still, but you don't get back.
Starting point is 01:55:48 Correct. Right, right. Okay, okay. Then, yeah. What do you think? Should we dig him up or move on? Time is of the essence. Time's of the essence. He could have something useful.
Starting point is 01:56:04 It seems like kind of a coin. Let's just fucking... It says he has a secret with him, right? Let's go, let's do it. A prize. All it says, a stalwart warrior of our mountain secrets. Oh yeah, a style of our mountain secrets. That's tempting, Liam word said.
Starting point is 01:56:17 You should open the door. Yeah, of course. You should open the door. Okay. All right, so. We are nasty enough that we have to put this thing down. Cagle. Are you ready to go?
Starting point is 01:56:27 Yeah. Oh, God. Yeah. Okay. Because. I'm going to try to open it as time as possible. Make a strength check. Strength check.
Starting point is 01:56:37 It's a heavy stone door. Good grief. It's partially buried in rubble. It's not locked, but it is somewhat. 16. 16? Yeah. For you.
Starting point is 01:56:47 Is Pike helping? Yeah. Sure. A pike run as well as well. Her industry is 19, it's plus four to what she rolls. 16. Okay. You both.
Starting point is 01:57:00 It shifts like a quarter inch and then locks into place from something. I need to see him. No. The doors are about that thing. You know, go ahead, and I walk up and just fucking hammer that shit. Oh, no! No! All right, go ahead and roll an attack.
Starting point is 01:57:20 Plank so knuckle. Double damage. As soon as Pikes sees and flex, she's got her hands outstretched at the door. 17. All right, so go ahead and roll damage. We'll save 1d4 for your fists plus your strength modifier. 10. 20 points of damage, because it's double. As you slam your fist into the stone door,
Starting point is 01:57:44 the door cracks, and part of it kind of splinters and falls, kind of toppling past your shoulders and kind of bouncing the head a bit. The door has suffered severe damage and probably wouldn't sustain another blow. I mean, we already started it. I mean, you're here. Three, four, fathom. Roll an attack again. That is a 15. 15. Yeah, that's enough. That's just enough. You slam a second time. You You don't have to roll damage, even with the additional modifier. It's enough. The door just crumples inward and falls inside the actual chamber as your fist just turns it to shattered rock and dust.
Starting point is 01:58:24 Can Pike see it undeaded in there? Make a perception check. I'll make a perception check too. I'll mend the doorway. We are all looking at. We are all looking at it. Yeah. 20. Okay. As you glance inside briefly, this like 10 foot wide, that's actually like a six foot wide door. side on this point. Glancing inside, it's another circular chamber that is like an outer hallway,
Starting point is 01:58:50 maybe five feet wide, six feet wide, and an interior chamber looks like a smaller cylinder on the inside that is currently locked. You don't see anything within there. You see to the right. Immediately the rock slide is filled most of the chamber and comes to rest just about the corner of what looks to be a single large brass door that is built, like brass bronze, like a dark, rusted, I'm I suppose they were rusted, but like an antique bronze door that's pushed into this central chamber about 15 feet wide. Back sketches pike's shoulder. Hold on, let me look.
Starting point is 01:59:21 You glance off to your left and you can see along the other side, there are five pedestals that kind of curve around this side, each containing a stone box about that big on each pedestal. Other than that, in the ground, otherwise all around the ground here, all you see are broken rocks and shattered statues. from the rock slide that kind of pushed it inside. It's just kind of a mess across the ground
Starting point is 01:59:49 from the impact of the rock slide. Oh no. So, what do you guys do? Can we see any? Can we see any? Anything that points to what deity it is from inside the chamber? Can we see anything? Glancing around?
Starting point is 02:00:04 You can't make another religion check on one you've already failed. Oh, yeah, no. So yeah, so you don't see anything that comes across across the religious iconography. What about Pike, though? Because she's kind of looking in. Sure, make a religion check for Pike. I feel ya.
Starting point is 02:00:17 Plus seven. Thirteen. Thirteen. No religious iconography seems to catch her attention. Would you roll for? 19 for the investigation. 19 for the investigation. No more in boxes.
Starting point is 02:00:30 Okay. Glancing at the first box, it does not appear to be locked. It does appear to be trapped. Okay. Here we go. You're going to try to undo the trap. Trap. Yep. So go ahead and make a roll. your dexterity and your provisions.
Starting point is 02:00:45 Deve's tool, yeah. Should we clear out of here while you work on this bomb? Yeah. We're all gonna get out of the chamber. Okay, so you all cleared out of the chamber. 30. 30, okay. You find that there's actually a pressure cartridge
Starting point is 02:01:01 at the very top of the box. So you slip your dagger in, so it remains depressed. As you lift the lid, you put your thumb over it and hold it. The trap never triggers, looking inside. It's empty. Just go down the line. All right, investigation check on the next one. Five of one.
Starting point is 02:01:21 On pedestals. Oh, o'-oh-le-l. Luck? Yeah. Okay, good. Oh, yeah. That's a 29. 129?
Starting point is 02:01:32 With a lock. Okay, this one is not locked. He's trapped. Yeah, okay, that's a 27. 27, okay. Similar depression plate. So the dagger, open it up. It's empty.
Starting point is 02:01:47 I did one, two. Let's jump to five. Okay, go for it. Okay. What? She does that. Are you making sure that nothing's invisible in there? She does things.
Starting point is 02:01:59 No. Did I? Do you feel like something? Are you here? I'm peeking in the door. Did you whisper to me? Yeah. They don't re-lock when they go.
Starting point is 02:02:10 My sister's hounding me at the door. Right. So I'm gonna go back and twiddle my finger inside the empty boxes. You were shutting them as you went. Yeah, but I can reopen them. They don't re-lock, do they? It's not that they were locked there.
Starting point is 02:02:24 But re-trapped, I mean. They're retrap. but you've already known the traps. Right, so I'll go do this inside. You got nothing? Just wanted to double check. I go to box five. Okay.
Starting point is 02:02:37 Is it like one of those Halloween? That's great. Yeah, that works. That was investigation, and that's 26. 26. Not locked, is trapped around. That is a 33? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:55 33. Similar trap setup, different placement of the depression plate on the inside of the box lid. You find it, hold it, open it up. Empty. Nothing. Two more. Two more. Two more.
Starting point is 02:03:08 Two more. Let's go to box number three. There's three and four left. Okay. I look over at Percy. It makes me far too uncomfortable how excited you are about this. This could be very good. Eighteen.
Starting point is 02:03:22 Eighteen? All right, you check. It is not locked. It is not trapped. Oh, no. Oh no, you rolled too low. You lift the lid, putting the dagger where the other depressions were. No. As you pull it back, there's a pf-ch of a purplish black cloud of some sort of vapor that immediately just burst into your face.
Starting point is 02:03:42 Like a constitution saving threat. It's okay. Well, it's not okay, but he's got better constitution. Good. 20. 20. You managed to just in time kind of hold your breath and what bit gets into your lungs, your body, instinctually pushes against. Your semi-living form just pushes the toxins from your system. You only suffer... 75 points of poison damage. No, you only suffer eight points of poison damage. That's good. That's good. Let's do one more. Anything in the box?
Starting point is 02:04:16 Yeah, what's in there? What's in there? Box is empty. Oh, they're all going to be. You are not doing this. 19. 19. Not locked, not trapped. Oh no. Hold your breath. Look at his eyes. Look at his eyes. Look at his eyes. You don't know. You just gotta go. Yeah, I'm gonna hold my breath and... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 02:04:41 Wait. Wait. Wait. Need some help in there? Okay, here's what I'm gonna do. I take a whisper and I go, and throw it at the wall. Okay. So you throw a whisper and pull the lid up? Hold the lid up? Yeah. As you pulled the lid up, the same toxic fume emanates from it, but you are not there in the space.
Starting point is 02:05:01 Instead, appearing right next to the central, cylindrical platform in the center of the chamber and look back and the cloud slowly dissipates around, the lid has now fallen back into place. Oh, shit. That was hot. Walk over to it. Okay.
Starting point is 02:05:16 Little lid fell back in place. Oh, you know. I did that to the top. I did that to the top. Okay, you open it up. Sushan savings drop. Yes. As it spraze sprays you again.
Starting point is 02:05:27 It didn't, it didn't expend? No, it does it every time. For nothing. I would have thought there'd be a little container that was empty. They reset when they close. There's a bunch of gnomes down there? It's like a peepal.
Starting point is 02:05:44 Oh, it's like there's magic in the world, Liam. It allows you to fly 400 feet around. I'm just gonna take it, a 14. It's not good enough. That's not good. No, actually, 14 is just what you needed. Oh, you got it. So you resist it. Again, you still, you, that is only six points poison damage.
Starting point is 02:06:02 You spell entirely fine. I cough. But you resist the poison permitting locking into your system. That's good. The box is empty. The box is empty. Was it worth it? What's in the center?
Starting point is 02:06:15 I feel alive. Of what? Of the room? There's a... It's a... The bronze door. The gift. The gift was the adventure. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:25 I think that's where the good shit was. I think this was just to take people out. You get the sense looking around here, based on the forced entry, that there's probably a good chance at this place had already been pilfer or whatever those boxes contained. You never know.
Starting point is 02:06:37 They could have died trying. And there's literally nothing in here? There's still a sarcophobic. There's a center. There's a center cylinder with the door. There's the rock slide, shattered statues across the ground. There's the empty boxes and the pillars,
Starting point is 02:06:49 and there is the bronze doorway. There is an undead thing in here. There is an undead thing. Maybe one undead guy got stuck in the middle. So we should open the bronze door. Right? Yeah. You know what? Scanlan, you should probably just bamf inside and see. I could. Do it.
Starting point is 02:07:05 No, no, I'm joking. No, no, do it. Do it. I'll go inside, I'll open the door. Yeah. The door just opens on its, I mean, like. There's a dead guy. Is it locked?
Starting point is 02:07:17 You go ahead and inspect the door. Ask your road, dude. So as you go and take the door. As you go and take a moment and check the door, there is a bronze image faintly carved into it of a stalky dwarven man with a thick beard that touches his toes. It just completely covers the front of his body.
Starting point is 02:07:36 He wears this plated armor that comes to dangerous, jagged, curved up points. As far as dwarves go, this one looks about as unhappy and unapproachable as any dwarf you've encountered. You've encountered some pretty gnarly dwarves in your time. So, as you glance down, there does appear to be, what looks to be an opening for a key, and there is what looks to be a somewhat oval
Starting point is 02:08:00 kind of turning mechanism. Pike is primed. Like a vault door almost, like a smaller wall. You're gonna check for traps. Make an investigation check. I mean, I think it's 20. 20? Does not appear to be trapped.
Starting point is 02:08:17 Okay. Do you mind if I just give a second opinion? Sure. You know, what could it hurt? Oh, not that good though. No, no lower than what you were. Oh, shit. Hey, it's not, it's not trap.
Starting point is 02:08:32 There's no traps. It's okay, you're good now. We need a key though, or a key. It does appear to be locked, though. I have a... Oh yeah, maybe you should pick the lock. We need a key. Let me try mine. No, let's just pick a kiss with.
Starting point is 02:08:50 A natural 20. Oh! To pick the lock. To pick the lock. Locked. Okay. I'm not in this room. I'm in the back ready. Pike is though. Okay. She's been in the next for five minutes. You're in the back of the room. I'm in the way right by the door. What's their one doing? Outside the door. I'm outside the door. I'm outside the door waiting for a call. I'm right next to him. Yeah. All right. So it's a total of what?
Starting point is 02:09:15 Total 37. 1118 road. I know. You just rolled a natural 20. So on a lock pick DC of 30, you manage to somehow find the intricacy of a king dwarf sarcophagus sealed door. It takes you a good two to three minutes to carefully find the proper tumblers and hold them without it breaking or ruining the lock. But you manage to feel something shift and a slight latch mechanism on the other side go at which point. My whispered. Pike. At which point, the brass dwarf on the front door's jaw goes,
Starting point is 02:10:04 oh no. And pours forth this green fume that fills the entirety of the chamber. Scanlan, Pike, and Vax, I need you, and you're still in the back of the chamber. I'm like, I'm by the door, though. Right, but you're inside. You said you were back to the chamber by the door. It's just nothing outskirt. I need you all to make a Constitution saving through, please.
Starting point is 02:10:26 Should I move home? It's like he just kept asking for it. I know. 18 for me. God damn it. Keith is in the back just face-palming right about now. 19. Okay.
Starting point is 02:10:40 25. Okay. Seven. Seven. Okay. You manage to shrug off whatever this effect of the few minutes, and you all cough for a second as it dissipates. Scanlon, Percival, and Pike. You feel your joints begin to stifference.
Starting point is 02:10:59 You feel your skin begin to tighten. And as you guys try and shift and look around, your whole body moves sluggishly. The outside of your body seems to almost harden and begin to shift in place. Oh, god damn. That's a gnarly poison. You suddenly begin to wonder,
Starting point is 02:11:14 those shattered statue pieces in the ground may have been the last tomb robbers who came through here. Oh, no! As you all begin to realize this and the fume begins to slowly fade from the chamber, the rest of you kind of scared to enter, I need you to make another kind of
Starting point is 02:11:29 Constitution saving throw. Whoa. Oh my God. Not you, Vax, you've already made it, but I need Pike, Percy, and Scanlan to make another. Can Keel is do any type of wind gust to try and push this away to help? If you'd like to. But ahead of time?
Starting point is 02:11:42 Yeah, like I see. Well, the effect has already taken place on them. It's not going to stop it unless they save. But you can try and clear the chamber of the field. I'll go ahead and clear the chamber so they don't do this again. All right. Wind gust. Okay, it's the first level, right?
Starting point is 02:11:54 Anybody gets to great restoration? All right, so you clear, the fume dissipates out and up into the chamber. You diffuse it enough where it doesn't seem to have as concentrated in effect. Could you say that Beck saw the look of panic in Pike's eyes and blessed her in a split second? Gustavent, second level spell, sorry. I will say, sure. I'll let that happen. But you won't let me cast greater restoration. You can if you want to.
Starting point is 02:12:20 I will cast greater restoration. On yourself? On Pike. On Pike. Okay. As you reach out and cast greater restoration, It infuses Pike's body and the hardening effect fades. So. But I have to roll another constitution. You and personal both.
Starting point is 02:12:40 So Pike is 13. Pike's fine. 13, no second. I'm going to blow a resolve. That'll be fun, because that was bullshit. What was that? A two. That's nothing.
Starting point is 02:12:53 Yeah. Yeah. 18? As Pike shrugs off the effect and the gust of wind clears the rest of the green fume from the chamber, you all look back and watch as locked in place, frozen stone, Percival and Scanlan now adorn the chamber like decorative statues, locked in an expression of Pike runs over and cast Greater Restoration. And I cast Greater Restoration on Percy.
Starting point is 02:13:20 So mark off those spells cast for both of you. And upon touch to each of you, your form reverts back in the flesh. and color returns to your body. Can we please stop robbing tombs and get back to our actual mission? No, you're not. You're getting to work. Oh, God.
Starting point is 02:13:38 No, you're not. I'll put my finger in his ear. Shit, we just blew those two. Can we go? Why? Well, the door's open. It's open. And the jaws is not resetting.
Starting point is 02:13:50 It's expended at the time. You don't know how long it'll take first or reset. I erased it here. And you do recognize this is one of the door of those types of traps that does reset over time. You just don't know how much time you have. Too bad I didn't recognize the last one. Yeah. Do we want to open the door?
Starting point is 02:14:05 I mean, we paid for it. It's open. What's inside? Okay. Pickle, come on. She gets ready. Beyond the door, indeed you find the tomb of the last king. In this cylindrical chamber with plain stone walls in the center, you see a single solid marble rectangular sarcophagus with no lid.
Starting point is 02:14:23 It is just open before you. Within, you see the mummified skeleton of a dwarf adorned in golden decorative armor, the same shape and design that you saw on the bronze doorway before you entered. An intricate hammer made of jet black metal rests to one side outside of its grasp, and a beautiful gray leather belt of square opals wraps around the center of its body. At which point, the skull goes she gets her holy symbol and flips at the bird and turns on dead. Okay. As she holds out the whole symbol, the might have Sarah and Ray swells within her and blasts forth
Starting point is 02:14:58 in a shockwave of divine energy. And will, that is, what's her DC? Wisdom saving throw, DC, oh shit, oh shit, so many pieces of paper, 18. 18? As the wave blasts past, it sits up, seemingly unaffected by the effect. It's slowly coming, like it looks like it's coming to. You have one round.
Starting point is 02:15:21 What are you guys doing? One round? Four not in there. Nope, the rest of you were out. It's going to attack. It's one round before it seems to be, it's currently sitting up in the sarcophagus, its arms reaching out for the hammered its side.
Starting point is 02:15:32 Well, I'm gonna fill it with three daggers and dump Divine Smite into the first. All right. Pike also still has her mace. Yeah, so she should do that. Okay. Am I in there from the gust? No, you guys are still outside of the chamber.
Starting point is 02:15:48 They rushed in after healing each other. So you guys, and besides it's a small room right now, it's only room for three people to get in there. Can Pike? What do you do? I would do it. Pike's gonna rush in as he's doing that and try to rip the hammer away from the body
Starting point is 02:16:06 and like run out of the room. Interesting, okay. So first you do your attack? 32, 1932. The first and the third hit. Okay, first and third hit. So sneak attack on the first because of the assassin and I'm going to dump a smite into it.
Starting point is 02:16:22 So three plus eight, Let's eight, three. Let me get the dice first. Three, ten, fifteen, eighteen, twenty one, twenty five, thirty, thirty six, forty one. And the smite is three to eight because it's undead. I said forty one, right? Forty-five, forty-six,
Starting point is 02:16:50 fifty-two, doubled is a hundred and four plus the psychic damage. One hundred and nine. for the first second. So, Pike doesn't have much of a fight for the hammer because the, you watch as daggers just jam into the ornamental armor, causing it to bend and twist inward, ruining the breastplate, and the undead king just falls apart, and before it can sit up,
Starting point is 02:17:17 is now sitting right back down those narcophagus. Feathers. Feathers. Take feathers. Everything. Check for traps. Because, you know, we've been there, Donning. Take everything.
Starting point is 02:17:29 You're in there. Take us belt, take the belt. There's an open belt. Wait for fucking traps. How about nobody dies? Bad experience with pulling shit out of a... Coffins.
Starting point is 02:17:39 It really didn't go that poorly. I'm gonna check the floor for any pressure plates or any Okay, that's a lot. 30. 32 for my investigation. Okay, the sarcophagus itself is not trapped. Nothing of the Kudraman appear to be trapped. As you're investigating the floor,
Starting point is 02:17:59 floor plates to the immediate right and left of the sarcophagus, to where there would be, someone would easily wish to reach in. There are two plates that are trapped. Okay. Thanks, buddy. We'll just work from the floor or from the foot from the front. Yeah, it's a very false space. It's meant that if more than one person were to try to, or like, if you were to fill the chamber, the two sides would trigger. Let's get what we need and get out. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:18:21 I'll hop over. Oh no, you can fly. Okay. And before it resets. Okay. Yeah. The bronze plate armor is. ruined. It's decorative. It appears more for visual and presentation and actual function. You grab the dark hammer and the belt. And you pull out of the chamber, the jaw of the open bronzes, slowly. Yeah, out, out, out, out. Out. Out. You guys exit the chamber. You're now outside of the cylindrical tomb of the last king.
Starting point is 02:18:56 That was a lot of action. What'd you get? We don't know. I found a hammer, broke. Is it cursed? Is it cursed? Can we tell if it's cursed? Can we tell if it's bad? You might identify some issues right now. Do you have an identify spell? Anybody? You might be able to sense good and evil? No? I don't know. I don't know. Or is that for creatures?
Starting point is 02:19:17 That's for creatures. Yeah. Here. It's creatures. It's creatures. Give me. I can look at it and just look at it and just look. Look at it. I'll look at it. Does it feel magic?
Starting point is 02:19:29 Make an Arcona check, if you're looking. Sorry. Just looking. 12. Oh, dear. We suck. It's interesting. It's not so much that you can see any sort of, it's pretty, there's no runic ornamentation it seems on it. Black-Metalic, right.
Starting point is 02:19:49 It's like a deep jet black metal. Make a history check. Does it look like the same black metals in the tomb? 22. 22. This is Atamantine, which is an extremely rare and hard metal. Wolverine. It's, I mean, they're fantasy equivalent. Essentially, it's not technically magically enchanted, but its nature makes it a very powerful weapon just by the metal that it's crafted from.
Starting point is 02:20:21 The hammer. The hammer. Is it a two-handed weapon, single-handed? Single-handed? It's a warhammer, so it's one-handed. I'm just saying... What's your hammer like? My dwarf and thrower, it can be single or...

Starting point is 02:22:26 Wherever you listen to you, your podcast. But I mean is it... It's not a war hammer. Super... Oh, I see. It flies back to my hand, though. Oh, that's pretty cool. It is.
Starting point is 02:22:38 But you can never have enough hammers. Do mine if I... No, but I mean, how are you going to wield this? You have two other weapons. Are you kidding me? I'm like a fucking home depot of weapons, yeah. We've got what you need. Sure, go for it.
Starting point is 02:22:54 What about the belt? The belt? Making our contract. Let me look at that. I have no idea what that is. Just because I want to know, can I go up to the doorway and just hit the side of the doorway with the adamanty black hammer? It does require attumment to use its effect or power. Oh, it needs attunement. Yeah, without attuning, I just hit the doorway.
Starting point is 02:23:17 Okay. It's solid, it's hefty, it's nice, one of the better hammers you've ever wielded. It's solid, it's hefty, it's one of the better hammers I've ever wielded. But is it nice? Tunes from something to attune to this? Nope. Just to have it. Then what is it?
Starting point is 02:23:30 This is totally worth it. We don't know. Well, let's just, well, and then let me take a look at that, maybe. You have to be trained in Arcana to identify something. I would say for the most part, yeah. Is anybody else trained in Arcana? I mean, you can make a base check just to give it, like once you're not going to be,
Starting point is 02:23:45 but to learn much about the nature of any enchantment if you find one. Does 23 do anything? I will say looking at it, there does appear to be runes inscribed very faintly in parts of the leather around it, and the way the opal, like their particular opals are set into it, there is a glimmer of some sort of enchantment based into it. We want to attune to it and see what happens.
Starting point is 02:24:10 We have to take another short rest. Next time we, yeah, when, let's get a little further. We're about to go fight fucking Vecna. There's no. Is it, are we gonna, I mean, we're on a way, but there's a lot further away, but there's much, we've got a lot further away. Ah, now I'm dead. Well, that was fruitful. Let's keep going.
Starting point is 02:24:26 All right, let's go back to the other way. I'm going to, I think I'm going to, I think I'm going to try the belt on and see what happened. Yeah, do it. Fred. While we're walking. For D. It's obviously enchanted.
Starting point is 02:24:42 It doesn't, I mean, like. You wouldn't be buried with a cursed belt. Absolutely, you would. Yep, that's exactly what you would do it. I think that's a fucking, I think it's a great idea. It's a terrible idea where we are right now. Yeah, we're very golden guns. I mean, we have pulled cursed items out of tombs before.
Starting point is 02:24:59 I- They haven't permanently killed any of us. Sure, sure. You can do what? I wasn't going to say I could do anything. I think that's a shitty idea right now. We really need to keep moving. We travel back down.
Starting point is 02:25:13 Yeah, the other fucking direction. All right, so you had the other way. Yeah. All right. So you're holding off? Whatever you want to. No, I want to find out. So I'm going to pull the gloves off.
Starting point is 02:25:22 Okay. So you begin to attune all the asses. tune to it as you guys are walking, take some time with it. All right, so. Hope it's great. Following the right path, you continue for roughly 100 or so feet in a switchback motion. Once you passed that portion of the tunnel,
Starting point is 02:25:39 it seems to curve back and it ascends slightly on a switchback path a bit. You can see at this point more stairs, more carved stone steps are getting to emerge. Some of the rough earth that you had encountered in the previous T intersection seems to be falling away to some semblance of actual holding architecture. And eventually it reveals a much larger hall,
Starting point is 02:26:02 a very apparent dwarf architecture. The ceiling now pulls up to about 60 feet above you. Stalagmite's stripping condensation from the shadow above. You can hear the distant drops in the distance of the cavern before you. You can make out broken ruins built into the walls of each side. Ancient stone homes and structures that now crack and crumble with each footfall, the Titan.
Starting point is 02:26:25 As you hear the next heavy footfall, you see as a couple of stones tumble from some of these structures, clattering across the cavern floor. Reception check, reception check, reception check. Natural 20. Max, you hear a faint, distant, echoing alien sound in the shadow and darkness ahead of you.
Starting point is 02:26:52 Far-ish. Further than your visual. range, definitely. All right. Okay, here we've got company up ahead. We do. So yeah. What kind of an alien language?
Starting point is 02:27:04 Any that we recognize? You just hear this thing, like it sounds like a voice, droning, slightly changing pitch, but it's so disparate and so distant that you can't make up anything other than just noticing that it exists amongst the steady, low, kind of rhythmic rumbles of each separate footfall of the beast. you now currently are within. Bags. Go fetch. Stealth. All right. Make stuff check.
Starting point is 02:27:38 Uh, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, p, pah, pah, pah, psalty. Okay. As you dart ahead, you come up a few steps onto a raised, kind of thoroughfare amongst the various dwarven buildings here. It looks like there is some sort of a crevasse or a chasm that this portion of the city was built along, and you can see up above there were platforms where stair-caping would rise up and there were raised buildings built into these chambers that have since fallen and crumbled down with the movement of the Titan, leaving these ruined piles of broken walls and floors and decorative materials. You can see broken and bent looks like dinnerware and metallic decorative plates or vases and such that have since fallen and crumbled beneath the collapsing structures.
Starting point is 02:28:29 There was once a thriving city that you're now getting more and more glimpses of the further into this beast you go that has been long deserted and now the longer it travels, it begins to be erased by the vibrations of the creature's movement. What the fuck? As you continue forward, you can see there's a portion where the, the, um, couldn't wait, could you? The damn growl, I thought it was a growl. It sounded like a growl. I don't know. I ran out of the room. As you just crest the top of this upper area of the road,
Starting point is 02:29:03 you glance down and can see a portion of it is underwater. There's a small pool where droplets drop, and at the edge of it you can just barely see the shape of a creature hunched at the edge of the water side. How close am I to that? It's about 50, 55 feet from you. Divine sense. Divine sense. Okay. Divine sense to see if...
Starting point is 02:29:30 It's undead. It is not undead. You're not going to undead sense. Okay. You... Or a fiend or a celestial. It's too far away to really get a very close view at this point in time, because it's just at the edge of your dark vision. You can just make out its shape. It's humanoid. It has two arms, two legs, and it looks roughly the size of you or Vex. Oh, no. No. No. It's not. But you now see it's now sitting a false. and partially ruined Dwarven statue of some kind, some sort of structure that was on a pedestal that had fallen at the edge. And it's sitting over top of it. It's got gray, splotchy skin, tough exterior. It looks like armored spines or plates along its back that kind of stick up as it hunches forward like a
Starting point is 02:30:13 like some sort of a porcupine. In the nine hells that we saw? It was in the city of brass? Not quite. It's smaller than that. You see a collection of odd trinket. collection of odd trinkets and objects that dangle around its waist that kind of slink as it shifts and moves, like a belt of scavenged trophies. Its claws currently tear into some sort of unidentified fleshy limb. It has clawed fingers. It's digging into a piece of flesh off of it and kind of chews it and slurps it back. It suddenly
Starting point is 02:30:47 freezes up. One to three. Oh! What is this? What if it is? What if it is? What if he is like that random creepy murphy? be merchant that you find in the middle of nowhere.
Starting point is 02:30:59 Nobody that each with their hands in the inside of a tiger is nice. No, they're there. I mean, it's true. Advantage on all three attacks. If he's like a huggle and you like to come. I like it. I like it. Okay, that hits.
Starting point is 02:31:11 I like it. Second attack. This is a nice, all man. Now he's a pace. Second attack is 32. Third attack. Third attack. Greenie.
Starting point is 02:31:24 It's 27. Wow. Okay. Thank God you're here. Welcome, Wanderer. There's just no throat left. Would you like to see my well? It's dangerous to go alone.
Starting point is 02:31:36 Take it from my pocket. Top three. Don't go in the crypt of the . Five. The first dagger does. 10. Hold on, 14, 17. Oh, man. Twenty-four.
Starting point is 02:31:56 48 plus psychic damage. 54 for the first attack. The two daggers hit nothing as the first dagger strikes and just slaughters the creature. And puch, hits the water, and now it's gonna float up. Unmoving in the pond there. You can see the liquid around it darkening. You just killed an NPC.
Starting point is 02:32:20 That might be. We're not in Iman in a moment. Market Square. No one knows about this. We don't know anything. It gets like the sheer force of the first dagger sends it off the broken statue and it falls in the water is now unmoving.
Starting point is 02:32:38 We are in hell. Perception check. All we know is you're just out there. Yeah. You guys do hear the citizen echoing. That echoes throughout. You can't. Okay, you glance around.
Starting point is 02:32:53 Nothing else needs to moving in the chamber. I'm going to sneak up to it. Okay. You move up to it. You can see now. It's hunched in the water. Its face is under the ground. It's... The water itself is made out of waist deep at most.
Starting point is 02:33:09 It's currently just there floating in the liquid. It was holding a baby. The plain tongue is out of water. Okay. Okay. Do you want to look at its face? Yes. As you pull one and take one of the spines and pull it back, you can see,
Starting point is 02:33:29 kind of toothy jaws, kind of humanoid-like, but gray and coming to a point where you can see kind of jagged teeth in the top and bottom row and one singular large kind of yellowish eye in the center of its face, no nose. And the eye is just slightly rolled back. Liam knows what this thing is, but Vax does not. Correct. Fuck this thing.
Starting point is 02:33:51 I'm gonna start looking. What are the trinkets on it? Make an investigation check. You don't know. You don't know what Matt would have. down with whatever you gave. Oh, well, he could do anything, but the description he gave me. Yeah, exactly. Was he?
Starting point is 02:34:05 Clorota was. Maybe this creature new way you see. Did you say investigation or perception? Investigation. All right, thank you. Out of opinion. It's a weird energy tonight, guys. It's a weird energy.
Starting point is 02:34:16 19. Okay. A lot of them appear to be bones, many of them ancient, and a couple of them look to be more fresh. There's a filth and crested dagger that's hanging from the side. An empty scroll case. A spyglass, half of a book that looks like it's just old and rotten and falling apart, and a singular bronze key. I rip off the spyglass and go, that looks nerdy. Percy will like that. And then I yank off the dagger and go, that looks all right. Nice. Stick it in the blinkback belt.
Starting point is 02:34:51 And then what was the last thing? It was a key. A key. A key. To the bronze key. To the bronze door. Right, yeah. Looking at the shape and sides of it, it probably would have fit pretty snugly into that door. In the dark just by myself, oh, that is fucking hilarious. No book? The tattered remains of the book?
Starting point is 02:35:13 Yeah. You don't recognize the language in the book. I don't. I let it sink back in the water. Well, it's still floating. Yeah, yeah, cool. We all float down here. Max, what did you find up ahead?
Starting point is 02:35:27 Up ahead. A one-eyed, one-horned, swimming purple people. Come on up, please. We should keep moving. All right, we've joined it. You guys approach, kind of carefully walking through the center of this kind of twisting chasm. You come over the kind of rise of the central road
Starting point is 02:35:47 and descend to meet up with the facts where you see there is the pool and the floating creature. Am I starting to get a vibe or am I starting to get a vibe? Of the belt. Oh, the belt? Okay, I'd say at this point, at this point. It's starting to get a vibe.
Starting point is 02:35:57 Sure. Sure. Is it a buddy? Just says you are dead now. It's, okay. Good stuff. I don't know how to pronounce that first word. The attune gains resistance to psychic damage.
Starting point is 02:36:14 In addition, they are immune to being paralyzed or petrified and cannot be knocked prone. Okay, that's fine. That's one. As an action, you can channel your anger to produce a shock weight of thunderous energy, as with the thunderous energy. Waves, Spell, DC-16, cast a fifth level.
Starting point is 02:36:29 You cannot use this feature into the complete of the first name. Cyncher. Cincture. Cincture. Cincture. Cynchre. It's like a, like, spanks.
Starting point is 02:36:39 We should call it spanks of the. How do you not? How do you not? But like, oh, it's like a, it's people still make these things. Like a censure, like a, like spanks. Oh. Technically, the gender, Lucy. I've never seen that word before.
Starting point is 02:36:53 Oh, Freddie, get excited. I found a spyglass. covered in diarrhea. Would you like it? Yes. Clean it, please. What is this creature? Do we know what this creature is? This would be an Arcana check on this one, actually. That that hammer is a mother-farm. And because he's enjoying his belt.
Starting point is 02:37:11 Can I take out? Is anyone here training an Arcana? Scanlan. Well, I'm not proficient in it, weirdly, but I am an archonist. Yeah, make a check with disadvantage. You've made a lot of rules, buddy. Seven. With disadvantage.
Starting point is 02:37:25 Four. Not entirely certain what this is. Is that with your Arcana? I imagine it's 10. Oh, well, that's better than four. Yeah, that's Tusaki. Can I take out the black metallic hammer now that he's all excited about his belt and begin my attuning period?
Starting point is 02:37:46 Okay. So you're just going to tune, are you going to wait for him? No, right. No, we're going to do it. Waiting for him. Okay, so as you kind of look at the creature and leave it there in the water, you begin concentrating. on the hammer. What do you want in tuning from to make space?
Starting point is 02:37:58 Instead of the blood axe. Okay. So just the blood axe away, you're going to tune to the Atamantine hammer as you begin to trek further into... Is there anything else interesting in this cavern? I can see. I'll think of that in a minute. As you begin to leave the watered pool to head further into this chasm, we're and take a break. Oh!
Starting point is 02:38:17 It's been a while. I thought there's going to be a lot. We'll be back here in a little bit, guys. Starting point is 02:39:17 You know what 82 people tweeted me that Pike speaks to Orvish. So thanks, guys. Thank you for informing us. Who cares? I like to think that Pike could, but wanted to let him do it. You can do it, shatab-and-sh-tabbing the right. Top him to read. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:39:33 I can, yeah. Yeah. So she was like, good job. Thank you. Almost go look. It's a ball. Also, where we started, Laura, that's something you wanted to mention the beginning,
Starting point is 02:39:41 because I'm here for the announcements. Oh, man, yeah. Uncharted, the Lost Legacy came out. This is so good. You should check it out. It's a game. You play Nadine. I play Nadine.
Starting point is 02:39:52 You should go see it. Was that like a- You see it? Yeah. You can go see it near you. Yeah. Go see it and then play it. It's a match three game, right?
Starting point is 02:40:02 Mm-hmm. Yeah, and also Spider-Man Marvel Spider-Man show premiered on the 19th. That's right. I'm Gwen Stacy on that. Oh. That makes sense. And yeah.
Starting point is 02:40:13 Yeah, those shows left. He's very much. The Russian boy, who is turning to have the episode too, and it was really good. He's coming up in this throughout the series and it's just a ridiculous character. He's great. He's fun.
Starting point is 02:40:23 All fantastic. I forgot about that. Thank you for a reminder. All right. So, bringing it back in. We have a cool belt. As you've left the pool and the body behind, you continue further into this chasm. Oh man, that's going to be a good talk later. Not that we heard anything about what you just did. I mean, you might have seen a corpse in the water floating as you walk out all. I don't touch the headshot.
Starting point is 02:40:56 Okay. All right, so. Oh, I was, I wanted to look in the chamber and see if there was anything else interesting, like, skit, skit, before we walked out. I mean, there are a number of dwarven buildings in the vicinity. Some of them partially were completely collapsed. Some of it had just mentioned had fallen from outcropping some platforms that have since, like, fallen into the center of the chamber. It's almost as if this room was meant to introduce them.
Starting point is 02:41:20 reduce it. Stop it. Stop it. I didn't roll the perception that was 20. I didn't roll it. Oh, you didn't roll yet? That's right. You rolled.
Starting point is 02:41:31 Do you perceive the dead body in the water? 29. 29. Glancing about their, I mean, there's a continuation of the path, which the chasm seems to be pinching of it. The further forward you go, like it's closing in. And you see, it looks like six dwarven households,
Starting point is 02:41:49 Dwarven households or structures that could be entered, that look at least structurally enough sound where they're standing. Mm-hmm. They don't look like, do they look rich, or do they look? From this perspective, everything is pretty wrecked. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:42:06 We're in a hurry, right? Yeah, of course. I'm not gonna go search for stuff. All right. Continuing forward, the chasm does eventually, and the floor continues to ascend upward as you reach the edge of where the earth begins to meet, to pinch to the edge of the chasm,
Starting point is 02:42:23 and there the tunnel continues anew. There are stairs that continue for about 25 or 30 feet beyond as you ascend to the steps. They begin to vanish beneath more loose earth and stone for another 20 or so feet before re-emerging again in places. About 40 feet past that, the tunnel ends at a set of heavy stone eight foot doors. The surrounding cavern has slid in place,
Starting point is 02:42:51 but it doesn't appear to be burying the door to a certain extent. They're just closed. You don't see any handles. You don't see any keyhole entry point. They're just two stone slaps. They're simple, they're smooth. There's no intricate scrolling. There's no dwarf text. They're just impeding your progress. Let's have a look.
Starting point is 02:43:07 Yeah, I'll look around them. Investigation, Judge. 21. Okay. There does not appear to be any locking mechanism. There doesn't appear to be any traps around it. around it. They're just two stone slabs that are just jammed together. No hinges, no nothing.
Starting point is 02:43:32 No. Yes, Greg. Oh, no, I've just had a tickle up my throat. Did you want to smash your way through this very loudly? Oh, did you want me to smash this very loudly? No. Oh, you would gently, that quite with a push, maybe? Yeah, maybe just try to push it first.
Starting point is 02:43:51 Fine. Can I push? Wait. Yeah, can I try pushing on one of the slabs, The right slab. Sure. Make sure check. Vax is back. No fuck up. Yep. Back up.
Starting point is 02:44:05 Two. Twenty-four. Twenty-four. You put both hands and push in your fingers kind of dig into the stone, it cracks around the exterior where you push about an inch into the stonework with your gauntlets. And as you push, you watch as the surrounding edges of the stone door, this is the right or the left one? The right one. The right one. You watch as where it meets the stone cracks begin to form at the edge.
Starting point is 02:44:34 And with one shift, it seems to push forward and you actually broke whatever mechanism was holding it in place and caused that side of the door to just fall inward. As it hits the ground, you hear the echo. No saying for this. They make them like they used to. That's relevant. It's irrelevant. It can't, accurate. Can I see anything immediately in the set of like,
Starting point is 02:45:05 Hey, yeah. It is pitch black inside. There is no light or light source. What about? Modifier of zero. 18. I have dark vision because of the bell. Yeah, not that. All right.
Starting point is 02:45:16 So you glance now inside the lightless chamber. First off, the smell of rot and stale thy, I guess I could say. Just that dusty, old, ancient, untouched scent. Just wafts from the chamber. from the chamber. Just a really old fart. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:45:31 Sure. Within, as you kind of glance inside, you find a single chamber before you that splits off into two other chambers, all rectangular. And there are two other subchambers that are beyond you. You stand about 20 feet tall at the height, and about 40 foot wide on the one that's the farthest side, and you can't make it far past the secondary chamber to the right. to the right. It's asymmetrical. One seems closer than the other. There's essentially three chambers that are all attached together with small entryways that lead to each. The floor here is covered and flaked shale, dirt, the occasional glitter of some sort of errant coin
Starting point is 02:46:11 or gold piece or copper piece. At this point again, you hear the distant of a titan fall. The chamber shakes, and a fresh layer of dust kind of falls, clouds a bit before resting to the floor. That's the most you can make out just the first glance inside this chamber. There's more tunnels. Looking for traps, dead guys from the door. Can I do a peek and check to see if there's
Starting point is 02:46:41 signs of any cave-in potentials? Sure. Potential cave-ins? I will say, you make perception check. Can I feel if there's any wind coming from one of the tunnels like there's an opening? somewhere. It leads out. Perception. With your face? Yeah, I want to feel the wind on my face.
Starting point is 02:47:05 28th. Glancing about this chamber is very well made. In fact, the structure, based on the smatterings of gold in the ground and glancing about the way it's built, this looks to be specifically a vault. This once contained probably a fatter. A portion of the wealth of the people of this town. Oh, somebody rolled this place. We don't hear anybody or anything? Not at the moment now. 18 investigation check for traps and dead guys.
Starting point is 02:47:36 25 for wind. There is a faint bit of airflow through the chamber now that this door is open. Can I tell where it's coming from? It is coming from the front of you and to the right. The chamber that you haven't been able to look past entirely, to the right. You glance about the entryway now that's open before you.
Starting point is 02:47:56 there doesn't appear to be any trapped mechanism in front of you. There are areas where some of the walls have kind of caved in slightly. The ceiling is solid, but there are portions where some of the wall has come in, and you can see where rock slides have kind of come to rest on each side, filled in some of the corners. There are like piles of rags and other kind of wayward bits of materials that have been left behind and kind of left to rot or sit. There's like kind of an awful, almost citrusy rot smell coming from one of the
Starting point is 02:48:26 far chambers on the left. Bites and long. Citcher. I drag in the human, escort him in, and go ahead and light up my hands. Okay, your hands open up. Pike has her mace. Do you come in as well? Sure, yeah.
Starting point is 02:48:43 I think there's an exit ahead into the right. As you're glancing and kind of doing your investigation, looking around, you notice to confirm that this was one of vault that held quite a bit of wealth, you look at the base of the wall. the parts that you can see that aren't buried. And you can see scrapes and grooves. Hundreds of them like there were once just many, many coins and other heavy metallic materials that were placed in here
Starting point is 02:49:10 that were scraped against the stone as they were once. On the ground. On the ground, about maybe three inches off the ground. You can see this layer of metallic scrapes across the stonework that this place once contained a fair amount of well. Yeah, but so if dudes came in here and put stuff in sacks, there wouldn't be scrapes. Grapes.
Starting point is 02:49:27 You do notice grooves and places and signs that this vault has already been largely rated, of course. Most everything in here has been taken probably a long time ago based on kind of the . You do notice that one of the piles of rags begins to twitch and shift ahead of you. Not us. No, mini jenga, mini jenga.
Starting point is 02:49:52 Mini jenga? Minijenga? Well, there's something under that. Maybe you should kill it before it, does anything to you. Do you want to? I mean, I don't think it's a small child down here. I've become death destroyer of world.
Starting point is 02:50:11 Death as I don't know. It's all you. Kill it. Detect undead. Oh, yeah, good call. I don't have much of that left. Yeah, my last one. My last one.
Starting point is 02:50:23 Detect on divine sense. Okay, divine sense. The rag pile that's like, it's around, It's around this portion of rock and fallen debris. Behind it, there's that pile of rags shifting. The minute you focus sense, that is indeed a source of undead energy. And at that point, the rags kind of rise up, and you see a very long kind of greenish humanoid claw
Starting point is 02:50:46 extend as the rag falls back. You see a familiar sight. You've encountered trolls in the wild before, but these trolls appear to be somewhat rotting. Their flesh strangely like battling between deconialed battling between decomposition and regeneration. There's this kind of shifting midpoint where its form and whatever cursed enchantment
Starting point is 02:51:07 that it's held within it or a sort of disease that claims its body is battling its nature. How far away is it? Well, right now it's charging towards you and I need to roll initiative. Everybody? Everybody. Oh, fuck.
Starting point is 02:51:20 Slowly emerge and then charge in your direction. Another map. Yay, Matt. Using all the maps we didn't use in Indianapolis. Indiana. This time is drunk. Look at all the gold. That's the rag side there.
Starting point is 02:51:42 Vax would have been right there. Look at this part. This is so cool. Tile work. I love Dwarven Forge. They do good shit. You guys like to place yourselves? Hey Matt, would you leave all this shit for me when you go to
Starting point is 02:51:55 Burning Man so I can use it for... Talk to Danny. She's watching her house. You can borrow whatever's in there. Thanks. All right. Grog. We are taking that bird. Yeah. You and me.
Starting point is 02:52:08 Next? You and me. Liam. I guess I was... I was searching over fear. She will clip your eyes up. We'll defile. Your bear is with you.
Starting point is 02:52:18 Bear is with grog. My camera's spotted. Chinkinke really likes grog. And Scanlan. You just entered the chamber behind everybody else. What's going on in here, guys? Ah! All righty, so.
Starting point is 02:52:35 He's a big guy. All right. All right. 25 to 20. 24. 29. Whoa. Well.
Starting point is 02:52:47 Percy. That's our Percival. Oh, it's first. All right. And then Vex. 20 to 15. Oh, I didn't roll for Pike. 16.
Starting point is 02:52:55 15. Ooh, ooh, oh. Oh, 16 for Pike. Pike. Oh, all right, so Pike's before growing up. Picklewreck. Pickle wreck. All right, Scrogg.
Starting point is 02:53:07 She turns into a battle cry. Picklewreck! All right, 15 to 10. I love it. 10 to 5. Gilles what you get? Three. What is that going on?
Starting point is 02:53:26 Oh. Do you want to? How do you get a shrieve? I rolled a one. That's right. I rolled one. So, top of the round, first of all, you watch something underneath this rag pile
Starting point is 02:53:36 suddenly just emerges and then darts around the edge. You see it's kind of rushing towards Vaxel Dan. What are you doing? I'm shooting it in the foot. Go for it. So I'm actually making this a leg shot. I've been rolling that. Fucking ball size tonight.
Starting point is 02:53:51 That's, that's a, that's a, 22. 22? 22? 22? All right, 22 viz. That's, uh, um, da-d-do-do-do-d-d-d-d-do. What you shooting in one?
Starting point is 02:54:04 That's a gun. With a gun. Oh, that's nice. That's good, does good. Yeah, that's 17 points of damage plus five psychic. Nice. And it has to make a strength saving pro. A strength saving pro.
Starting point is 02:54:18 Strength saving throw. That is a 20. What is your 20? So it succeeds. God damn it. That's fine. What? It's going to roll in the foot again, because that's what we do.
Starting point is 02:54:32 That's cock. That's cocked. Yes, that Cox. That was so close. I know. That's okay. It's 24. 24 hits.
Starting point is 02:54:43 You're almost critted. I know. That's 10 points of damage plus five psychic. And again, strength saving throw. That is a 23. God damn it. This is a natural 16. That's wrong.
Starting point is 02:55:02 And pretty strong. And just to make life a little more fun, just take a headshot because obviously he doesn't want to go down. And that's a 25 that hits. That hits. That's one more of those and one more of these. And that's 11 points of damage. 11 points of damage plus three sidekick.
Starting point is 02:55:30 All right. 14 points of damage. And a constitution saving throw. All right. Wow, that was 26. Holy fuck. Natural 18 plus 8. Never a goddamn mine.
Starting point is 02:55:43 And with that, I'm going to dart in back behind Keyleth. Wow, that was rough, buddy. I'm sorry. There you go. As far back as I've got, yeah. I'll use my bonus to reload. All right, ends Percival's turn, Dexter up. Hunter's Mark.
Starting point is 02:56:02 All right, who you mark in that guy? The troll that I see. That's right, there's the one troll. I'm gonna hunters Mark Grog. Yeah, there you go. Okay, and I'm gonna shoot him. Go for it. With the natural one.
Starting point is 02:56:16 With the natural one. So as you mark when you pull out the first arrow and you yank backward and as the arrow string tenses, the actual shaft seems to snap in place, the arrow had somehow dry-rodded through your travels. Oh, balls. It's kind of chuck it to the ground. Pull another.
Starting point is 02:56:32 Okay, this one is going to be sharpshooter with blazing bowstring, so hopefully it in turn. God, damn it, what the fuck? That's a two. All right, so what's the total bonus on that one? What is happening to us? Oh my god, that's like 11 to hit. Yeah, I missed, sorry.
Starting point is 02:56:51 Jesus, H. Macy. So the first arrow shatters and plays, pull up the second one and go to fire, As you strike, the arrow seems like it should hit it, but instead it hits one of the rags over its shoulder that makes it look like its masses larger than it is. And it just passes through harmlessly, causing the rag to flitter off, revealing its shoulder. You can see the bits of like greenish muscle tenue, uh, sinew showing up beneath one of the gashes of its rotted shoulder. You're going to move or you or, uh, your bear? Can I, can I climb up those rocks behind me and stand on the top of them?
Starting point is 02:57:22 Sure. On the top of the rocks there, getting ready to fire. And then Trinket is going to run over and stand next to Pike. He's going to try to protect us. There you go. All righty. Can he move far enough to be on the other side of her? Nope.
Starting point is 02:57:45 What's his move in? The 30 or 40? 40. 40 he could actually. Yeah, he can just go to the other side. Just over there. Yeah. Perfect.
Starting point is 02:57:55 All right, so ending your turn, Pike's up next. Bunk, bunk kind of a gooch-smashing day. So she's just gonna walk right up to him and slam it right into his gunk. Yeah. Really? That's what she's gonna do? That is what she's gonna do. I guess it's undead.
Starting point is 02:58:13 She can't try to turn undead? Yeah. Well, if she wants to use her last channel, one of three channels divindies of the day. Fine. Could you like blast him with an age? She's hit him in the gooch. It is 23 to hit.
Starting point is 02:58:27 That hits. Great, good. Plus the, what's it called? Divine Strike. So two, three, plus four, seven plus the two D eight. That ain't the eight. Eight plus is 13.
Starting point is 02:58:44 Oh good. 21. To the goutes. To the gooch. Nice. She runs up and slams it with the side of the mace as it hits. You see there's a four. flash over the energy and it burns away.
Starting point is 02:58:54 It's like an additional 2D6 radiant because he's undead. Yes. Yes. Yes. That's right. Yes. Wait, so Pike deals with the Feeder undead take extra 2D6 radiant damage. With her mace of disruption. Correct.
Starting point is 02:59:09 And then what's the additional damage? So that it, that. Whatever I just told you. And I'm gonna roll for that extra range. What was the first damage roll you did to do 21 points of damage to her? That was the mace of disruption. 2D6 plus four radiant.
Starting point is 02:59:23 damage. Plus, divine strike. Once on each turn, add 2D8 of weapon damage to your damage total for being a holy metal trucker. And then since it's undead, it's an additional 2D6. That's right. Yeah, 2D8, yeah. So an additional, an additional seven because he's undead. So 28. So 28. Gooch shot. To the gooch. That is actually pretty damn nasty. She had to jump up to hit it. She's at 18, right? Right on the balls.
Starting point is 02:59:59 What at 18? Well, we're not sure. 17 or 18. 17 or 18. Okay. So she gets. Real life is easy. So you can use her bonus action.
Starting point is 03:00:08 To hit again if she wants. To hit again? That's one of her war domain abilities. Double goot shot. One for each. Third, but I keep looking at mine. Same thing, 23. 23.
Starting point is 03:00:19 All right, 23 hits. Roll damage again. So three, plus five is eight, plus four is a 11. 12. and then the radiant damage. 2d6. So we're at 12 plus. Five.
Starting point is 03:00:34 Five. Oh no, once the turn. Yeah. 17. 17 damage? Yes. Alrighty. So a second hit slams, and you can see the first one where it burst out, kind of burn and singed the necrotic flesh.
Starting point is 03:00:49 The second one hits not as impactful, but still it looks relatively hurt. That ends. Spikes go. Did she move away from him? Oh no. She could move backfite. It will get an attack opportunity. She's gonna face him down.
Starting point is 03:01:03 Okay, Rog, you're up. I would like to rage and run up into this doorway. 4, 10, 15, 20. Can I see anything in this room? Make perception check. Okay, five. Nope. You see rage.
Starting point is 03:01:21 Yep. I don't see anything. So, oh, do I feel anything from the black metallic hammer that I'm holding? Oh yeah, you've been trying to attuned to. Have you been trying to attuned to it? I don't think you've had time yet to fully attuned to it? He started attuning to it before the break. It was like a half hour ago at this point.
Starting point is 03:01:38 Not really enough time. Okay. He started attuning to it as soon as Percy felt something from the belt, so if it's been long enough. You can say no. I'm just going to keep coming in here. Sure, yeah, yeah. Sure.
Starting point is 03:01:51 What? Yeah. If you want to, I'll let you turn to it. Yeah. Oh no. Take a swing in it. I'll take it. I'll tune to it. I want to it to it first.
Starting point is 03:01:57 I'm nervous. He's gone to death. Okay, so go ahead and... Are you going to attack the guy with it? Well, I don't see anything in the room, right? Yeah. Can I make my way through here? You may.
Starting point is 03:02:08 Okay. I'm so glad we're together at last. Yeah. Start talking to him again. What if he heals him? He just hits him so hard, it actually like puts health points back into him. It's Craven Edge. Can I'm going to reckless attack against him?
Starting point is 03:02:21 You may. Craven head. Craven head. That's not great. Oh, man. Wow. What was the natural roll? A six. A six. As you swing the hammer, go ahead and roll damage. Oh no. This is something weird.
Starting point is 03:02:43 23. You suffer 23 points of bludgeoning damage. As the hammer you swing and clobble yourself across the face with the hammer. What? What? I'm drunk. Is it like if you roll below a certain thing you hit yourself? instead? 23, so half of that is 12. Stop hitting yourself, that's the name of the weapon.
Starting point is 03:03:04 Wow, it's amazing. Wack! You're kind of taking it back by it. I'm so amused. What? What? I'm so excited. I'm so excited.
Starting point is 03:03:17 Roll for him, check. Oh my God, roll my own. Reckless, great weapon master. I'm so cool. Natural 20. Okay. It's going to knock them out. So, roll down.
Starting point is 03:03:29 Finally. Oh no, I don't know. I'm doing a D12. I'm so much. Is that appropriate for the hammer? Oh, no, no. Did you do a D12 last time? Yeah.
Starting point is 03:03:39 Should I do a D10? For the Warhammer. Two-handed. The hammer is 1D8. But if you versatile two-handed, it's a D-10. Let's do that. So we'll take. It's fine for the last one.
Starting point is 03:03:52 Okay, cool. That would be amazing. No, it would be amazing. 22, 32, 32. 32. 38. 39. 39?
Starting point is 03:04:08 No. That's with the double? No. After shaking your head, you put it. Wait, you forgot to add stuff? Yeah, hold on. It's a crin, right? Should you double the dice?
Starting point is 03:04:19 Wait, wait, don't, don't talk. 46. 46. Okay. So you reach back with the hammer after shaking your head, and with a giant angry yell, the hammer comes down and cracks into the face of the troll, causing its head to like, put, push into its rib cage and it falls to the ground. He's gonna get back up.
Starting point is 03:04:43 Yeah, no. It does not make it saving throw. It just falls to the ground. Unmoving, crushed. That was better. That was better. Is that your turn grog? That is. Vax you're up.
Starting point is 03:04:57 Is that against him up? Yeah. What else is there? That other room. Is there other shit in here? We don't know what's in there. Right. I'm going to move past Pike, past the troll and hold my action should anything come from that room. Okay, what are you holding? If I see a creature running at any of us, I'm going to throw.
Starting point is 03:05:29 Okay, good to know. That ends your turn, holding your action, rushing around the corner. Immediately. Oh, no. You hear this. Dude is cruel. Because he's like black drooling undead trolls. Their eyes, like jet black beads, just hints of the light, hitting the shine of it. Like shark eyes. This one rushes past.
Starting point is 03:05:57 Would I be throwing right now? He goes repealing. There. And then this one, here, go ahead. Futt-put-put-foot, put-foot. Okay. F-Futt-Fut-Fut. First one, because this is...
Starting point is 03:06:10 Did you get the card for the... Did you get the card for the... I'm going before them in the order. Does that mean I get advantage due to assassin? No, because this is their turn. Okay, cool. You're reacting to their action. Cool, cool, cool.
Starting point is 03:06:24 25 for the first. Hits. Okay, second is a 25. It's. Third is a 50. You don't get a bonus action. It's only an action you held. Oh, okay, cool.
Starting point is 03:06:34 Cool, cool, cool. So... earlier, it's fine. Right, right. So what did I say for the first two? 25, 25. 25, okay, okay, cool. But no sneak attack at all, so here they come.
Starting point is 03:06:46 First one is 11 plus psychic damage, is 17 for the first, and the second. And the second, 17 and 15. 17 and 15. Those are good attacks without sneak attack. All right, so as it turns down the corner, It just goes into a sprint towards you, rushing forward, and is going to go ahead and attack you twice with its claws and one with its bite.
Starting point is 03:07:15 Come on, Cockmunch. The claw attack is 20? No. You dodge out of the first claw, it strikes upward. With its other hand, that is a 22. That does hit. I'll use uncanny dodge on it. Okay.
Starting point is 03:07:34 17 points of slashing damage, reduced to eight. Okay. Two points lashing damage, and it's a bite attack. Ooh, that's an extra 20. Oh, that hits. However, it only rolled a one on the damage. Yay! You take six points of piercing damage.
Starting point is 03:07:50 All right. You should make a constitution saving throw. Oh, both. Okay. Don't fail me, Raven Queen, like you've done so many times of. That is a 17. Did you drop it or did you roll it intentionally? What do you mean?
Starting point is 03:08:04 I'll roll it again if you want. I don't care. I'm rolling it again. Oh, that's way worse. Nine. I look like you dropped it. Okay, good to know. All right. So then the other one that's rushing up to you,
Starting point is 03:08:16 Kieleth, is gonna go ahead and tack you as well. That is a 17 to hit? Yep, hits. I'm gonna use cutting words to take that down. Oh, thanks, man. That's all right. I'll say, good to know, and then he falls.
Starting point is 03:08:32 I will yell at the troll. Back to his head. Oi, troll, I would kick you. I don't want troll shit on my foot. Go ahead and roll your D-12. Vino, baby. It just peaked, Sam. Just peaked.
Starting point is 03:08:48 Vino. Eight. Yeah, so with that enough of a distraction, its head turns to you over her shoulder, and the swing goes wide. Yes. Only because I turn around a scandal and go, ah.
Starting point is 03:08:59 That's good. That's good. Ah, yeah. Which is just enough for it to roll 19 on its second attack with a claw. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which deals 14 points of slashing damage. And it's going to go in for a bite after the claw strikes in you and grabs your shoulder,
Starting point is 03:09:15 and it pulls you in. Its troll mouth almost seems to hyper-extend as it snaps down towards your shoulder. That is a 22. Not the mantle, not the mantle. Yeah, that hits. All right, you take eight points of piercing damage and make a Constitution saving through. Oh, Constitution saving through. Let me take my antlers off? Hold my antlers! Hold my antlers. Hold my antlers.
Starting point is 03:09:37 Yeah, that's good. That's good. 19. Okay. Hold my alice, girl. You are. Okay. That brings us to the one. Okay, so the one on the ground that had been slaughtered by Pike,
Starting point is 03:09:51 its wounds seem to heal up slightly, and as it gets up from the ground, it's going to strike out towards Pike. No. Getting it from prone. So the first strike is, that's hooked. That is... That is... Four to hit. Yes.
Starting point is 03:10:07 All right, she takes eight points of slashing damage. Okay. Second attack is, oh, six, six, six, nine, it's 25? 25 damage, okay. No, 25 hits. Oh yeah, that hits, yeah. 10 points of slashing damage. Okay.
Starting point is 03:10:21 And as it grabs both sides of her armor, it's gonna like she lift her off the ground and pull her towards its mouth, as its jaw, opens up to almost alligator chomp down on her, like the sides of its mouth almost curved back towards its neck. That's fucked up, Matt. That is gonna be a,
Starting point is 03:10:35 Seven plus nine, 16, which I don't believe. She brings her shield up just in place, and as the top jaw comes down on the edge of her shoulder armor, the shield takes the bottom jaw, and she just manages to wrestle it off of her and land on her feet, unscathed by the house. Yeah. That's gonna go ahead and end their turn.
Starting point is 03:10:52 Scanlon, you're up. Me? Yeah. Oh, God. I'm not wasting my shit on them. All right. I know. I know there's the horror.
Starting point is 03:11:02 None of us want to do any. Yeah, yeah. We're just gonna sloth. Slog it out, man. Slog it out. Swog it out. Shaky-ch-choo-choo! So you're moving up to this guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 03:11:14 All righty. Let them know. Let them know. There you go. Come all, 20. 16. Yeah, that's like a 26. That hits? Woo! Yeah, 1D8.
Starting point is 03:11:25 Three, plus four, that's seven. Oh, but wait, there's more. Plus four, 11. 11 points of damage. As you rush up and just slip it right into the sternum of the troll creature, it goes through and points to the other side and it kind of goes, you pull it up. Like a Matador, I turn my back to him.
Starting point is 03:11:51 Because I don't think you can hit me. I don't think he's got it in it. That's gonna give him an advantage. Perfect. Percival, you're up. That one that just got up is irritating me, so I'm gonna start by shooting him in the face. Please.
Starting point is 03:12:08 Okay. We told you about irritating. That's irritating, so that's a 32 to hit. That hits. Good roll damage. That's 12 points of damage plus five psychic, so 17 points of damage. 17 points of damage. All right, so as you hit it, you blow a large chunk out of its side, a wound that should have knocked it down, and it still stands and looks towards you.
Starting point is 03:12:38 That's irritating. All right, hitting it again. That's 26 to hit. That's a boy. And that's nine points of damage and one psychic. That's 10, 10 points of damage. All right, 10 points of damage. Once again, another shot blows out part of its rib cage, and you see organs slop out to the ground and it kind of, for fuck's sake. Are we missing something here?
Starting point is 03:13:08 They're regenerating. Something's holding them together. That could be their version of a deathboard. Yeah, fine, all right. I'm taking a third shot on that one. Is it like we're gonna have to do radiant damage? You fought trolls before. I don't remember them. When were they?
Starting point is 03:13:27 Yeah, we, that was a long time ago. Doesn't like fire work on trolls? That's what I thought I was about to do fire. Yeah, I was hoping my bow strings would bring. Hang on, do I have anything written? I don't know, I'm just, oh. Oh, that was dumb. Well, irritated by that one, I'm going to turn my attention to the one that's bothering
Starting point is 03:13:46 Keelith and Scanlan, and I'm going to take a headshot at it. Go for it. So just burning grid, it regenerates. And let's take a headshot. And that's 32 to hit. That'll hit. And that's 16 points of damage plus three psychics, so that's 19 points of damage. That's 19 points of damage.
Starting point is 03:14:08 And he has to do a Constitution saving throw. 26. God fucking damn it. Stop it. I'm sorry. I'm rolling really well for their saving throws. That's really irritating. I've wasted so much grit.
Starting point is 03:14:21 Nothing has happened. All right. All right. I'm going to back up even further out of the room. I'm going to back up to the very edge of the existing. All right, so we'll say like you back up. The volume over there. You're not backing down into the tunnel where you guys had risen up or you back the door.
Starting point is 03:14:36 Tipos, please. Tipos, please. All right. No one, yeah. That's my turn. Vex, you're up. Okay. We need some fire. I don't have any of that.
Starting point is 03:14:49 Blazing? Well, my blazing bowstring, I'm gonna try it. There's something else, like poison or acid? I'm gonna, okay, I'm gonna shoot the one that I tried to hit before. Okay, we'll need hardness mark on it still? Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna do it.
Starting point is 03:15:05 I'm gonna try a sharpshooter again. Okay. Damn it, that doesn't hit. Wow. Okay, I'm gonna try it again. So is it a three? Just fucking eating it tonight. Yeah, I'm just rolling like plus.
Starting point is 03:15:17 Plus 14 minus five. Yeah, no. Oh, my God. Oh, that one is. It's so good. It's on phone, but it's good. That is, yeah, so that hits. That hits, right?
Starting point is 03:15:29 Yeah, that hits. Okay. I didn't say blazing blow string, so it doesn't count. The frog is cursed. 14. 14 plus one lightning damage. Is he? Sneak attack.
Starting point is 03:15:45 You're gonna help, yeah? Oh yeah. Plus six is 14 for the sneak attack. All right. And then five for Hunter's Mark. Okay. And blazing ghost string?
Starting point is 03:16:00 I didn't say blazing voistring. Oh yeah, okay. So you, the arrow hits it in the kind of chest area. Watch is part of its rib cage capes in from the blow, and it actually exits out the back. None of the flesh seem to stop it and it kind of falls to the ground, unmoving. For my bonus, oh wait, that's a fourth level spell.
Starting point is 03:16:23 Should I use it or not? Save it, save it. Alright, I'll save it. I'm gonna transfer the hunter's mark to the one attacking my brother. Is your bonus action? Yeah. All right. And then Trinket is gonna run up and stand next to my brother. So you can get planketing.
Starting point is 03:16:47 There you go. Yeah. Perfect. That ends Vix's turn. Pikes up. Oh, geez. Okay, so I think, Spider! She's gonna turn undead. She can't do it to, how far they're probably too far apart.
Starting point is 03:17:03 Well, no, she could stand between them and do it. Each undead she can see within 30 feet. 30 feet, so she stands between. She's gonna climb up on, no, I'm not gonna say that. Yeah, she just does it. She's gonna take a step like diagonally down this way. Yeah. Turn, turnt, undead.
Starting point is 03:17:19 Turned undead. That's a whole different ability. Wisdom save and throw. Spell save is 18. If they're challenge rating four or lower, they blowed up. They're not challenge rating low. Is it wisdom save? Yeah, wisdom save.
Starting point is 03:17:35 And that just means they're scurred. Yeah, they all fail. They're scared. They're scared of fire! They're scared of bike. As she holds up her holy symbol, you watch, as this kind of radiant glow in the shape of Sarenrae amidst from behind her, like these giant golden wings
Starting point is 03:17:53 emerge. And for a moment, you can see the beautiful, dark complexion and flaming hair kind of rise behind Pike. And as that scatters outward, you watch as the faces of these undead troll creatures all of a sudden shift into this absolute horror, and they all go, and begin to make their way to turn and run. Turn and run. Yeah, they have to move away as far away as you can
Starting point is 03:18:14 from the person. Yeah. cannot take reactions for its action. It can use only the dash action. All that you do is run. If it's got nowhere to move, it can use dodge. A boo run, run, run, A boo run.
Starting point is 03:18:28 Exactly. How long is it last? It doesn't say, does it? One minute. Or until it takes any damage. Right. Okay, so that ends Pike's turn. Yes.
Starting point is 03:18:44 Okay, Rog, you're up. Three five, four, four. F. F. F. Fugged. Can I run over here? Five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty, five. Okay. And I'm going to smashy pants, the troll, reckless, great weapon, faster. All right, go forward. Smash your pants, McGee. That'll hit natural 20. Oh, what a day?
Starting point is 03:19:10 Oh, shit. Good. 10 now, right D10? T10, yeah. 63. Oh, oh, shit. As you rush up behind, as it's turning to run away from Pike, it turns around and its face comes right to yours as you go, whack! Its jaw, rockets off, and it's like scatters across the ground.
Starting point is 03:19:47 You can get to bite attack anymore? You think that? You think that? He's got upatief. Yeah? It's more of a jacket headbutt. That's the first attack. That's true. Same thing. Yeah, I mean. Mm. 19. A natural what? A natural shit. A natural shit.
Starting point is 03:20:07 He got a little, so it's a little, shit, I can't do reverse math. You mean subtraction. No. Oh, no. It was an eight. Thank you.
Starting point is 03:20:44 All right, does 19 hit your armor flies? Yeah. Roll damage. Oh, God. Oh, no. This thing's got up and down. Oh, no, I can't do math at all. 44.
Starting point is 03:21:03 34. You suffer 34 points of bloodening damage. Oh, jeez. So 17. 17. Yes. So he didn't strike the troll at all. No.
Starting point is 03:21:15 So the troll's still scared. You knock the draw off and as you swing back with a backward strike, the arm seems to swing around in a circle and then clobber you in the back of the head and you're like, too, oh, you spit blood on the ground. And you feel the ringing in the back of your skull. Oh, Grog. What the fuck is a stupid-ass hammer? He's so excited.
Starting point is 03:21:33 You guys look over and watch as Grog bludges himself in the back of the head. I didn't know you were so flexible, Grog. Are you drunk? Are you drunk? Yeah. Any grogs turned back, so you're up. That guy's no longer frightened, by the way, because you did do damage to him. As my bonus action, I do have a bonus action.
Starting point is 03:21:51 Can I use my second wind? You may? Go for it. One day ten. Three plus six plus. A hammer is false though. I know. I can't like to read the card.
Starting point is 03:22:03 There you go. What's you doing back? What I'm going to do is turn to drink it really quick and say, God, this dead thing, and then I'm going to use my movement. and dash action, if necessary, to sprint around and flank that troll between me and Grog. All right, because it is frightened. It is, and it's in the view of Puyah does not make an attack of opportunity on you. Okay. Notice you can move it moment. You step over and rush this way, and you are now there flanking it with Keelew.
Starting point is 03:22:30 Flanking it with Keelep. Okay. Shiv, shiv and the button. You could just scintland if you wanted to move there. If Kieleth is on the other side, I'll just go. Kieless there or Scanlan now, okay. As long as I'm flanking either way. Sorry, do you want to go the other way? I'm going to scrub up? No, I'm fine.
Starting point is 03:22:43 I'm playing it with keelth right now. To the butt. You might drop a fireball, I guess. It's fine. 28 on the first. And it was 18, 30 something on the second. Yeah, they both are. Okay, so.
Starting point is 03:23:00 The first one is four, this eight is 11, Psycic is 12, plus those guys. Twelve, twelve, thirteen. That's that great. Thirteen, sixteen, nineteen, nineteen, 22, 26. 28 for that one.
Starting point is 03:23:15 Ow. Sorry. 28 points of damage? Yeah, and then this. Yeah, it falls to the ground, unmoving. As you stab at the back of the skull, you guys watch as the dagger, as a whisper like, protrudes from the front of the skull and it kind of slumps to the ground. Chop a potato.
Starting point is 03:23:36 That was the first one. Yeah, you pull whisper back out. The second one, I'm going to shove it down into its eye socket and just grind it around for the second attack, even though it's down. Okay. It's easy enough. You go ahead and grab the back of its motionless skull and jamming, dig around, and scramble the brains on the inside with your dagger. Okay. That's it. All right, that's your turn. Done. All right, ending Vax's turn. The corpse in the ground, as you're scrambling its brains, suddenly its other eye, flickers open and reaches up and grabs you and from the ground it's going to attempt to use you to pull itself back up.
Starting point is 03:24:09 We got to chop it up or set it on fire. It's going to go ahead and take this point. It's going to take a claw attack at you. That is 20. Nope. As it tries to claw at you, you just kind of barely dodged to the way. Your hair kind of as it passes.
Starting point is 03:24:28 It's going to spin around and claw at Scanlan behind. Behind with a 17? Yeah, of course. All right. They all have. Three, two, nine points of slashing damage. Sure. After it finds purchase on you, it realizes that you're a little more vulnerable. Its claw
Starting point is 03:24:46 still dug in your shoulder, it's going to pull you in, and it's going to attempt to, using its upper jaw, jam its teeth down into you. The lower jaw with the tongue is just kind of dangling out at this point. That is 25. Yeah. Yes. You take five points in piercing damage and make a Constitution saving throw. No. What does it mean?
Starting point is 03:25:11 I did a Constitution save like 20 minutes ago. No, I don't know what it means. what it means. That's pretty good. I got West now. 23. Okay. All righty.
Starting point is 03:25:23 This one's going to get back up. From the ground, it's going to crawl its way back to its feet, and it's going to unload on Pike again. It hasn't been hit yet since she turned it. It was dead when she did turn undead. It was not affected by it. Oh, okay. But it has since regenerated itself back. Was it dead or was it?
Starting point is 03:25:44 And... I'm just being stupid. Go for it. No worries. Yeah, unfortunately, its body was not moving. It was not actively present and able to pay attention when the first effect happened. Damn it. It's all... Four plus...
Starting point is 03:25:57 That's not hit. It's all not... That's a 14. It's a bite attack. That is a 22. What's our arm o'clock? 23. 23 with the shield, yeah.
Starting point is 03:26:07 Get you stepping. It goes to bite towards or it's like jaw, like, tearing open the muscle actually, like, stretching and pulling with each bite, as its body kind of falling apart, and she just beats it back with the armor and shield, no effect. And this one here, which has not been damaged. She's like fireball.
Starting point is 03:26:22 It's just going to go ahead and run the fuck away. You guys don't even see where it is right now. Oh, by mock. All right. That brings us to Scanlon's turn. All right. Jesus. Oh, there's all these people around.
Starting point is 03:26:38 Is this your first turn? Come on, man. I'm going to step away from the, away from the troll. Okay. And I'm gonna light it up. It's gonna go ahead and make. I thought it was frightened.
Starting point is 03:26:49 No, it wasn't until he hit it. He's not frightened anymore. Oh, shit. Oh, all right. It's gonna try and swing its bite at you once more. All right. That is 15. Yep.
Starting point is 03:27:01 Still hits, okay. Geez, Scanlon, you need better armor. Don't you have a plus two to? Did you skip me? That's all. No, you're last after Scanlan. You know I've got, I've got armor. I've got armor you going.
Starting point is 03:27:11 No, I know. Yeah, yeah, no, I remember that. No, thanks. Oh, they'll just give you last turn to me? I'm gonna give it to you after this. This is the second time. I'm already wearing a number. Oh, I must escape you last turn.
Starting point is 03:27:21 I'm so sorry. That's okay. Double attack. I don't think I've done anything. No, I'll give you two rounds. I'll give you. Your armor is my fucking armor I gave it to you. That's totally my fault. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 03:27:30 That's okay. I know. So anyway, that's six points of piercing damage to you. Make a Constitution saving throw. Ooh, natural 20. Yeah. All right. What are you doing twice?
Starting point is 03:27:44 It's my fault. That's still my turn. That's right, sorry. Fireball. Fireball? Yeah. To who? To that troll who just hit me?
Starting point is 03:27:54 20 foot. I was backing away so it wouldn't be in my. You're going to smoke everybody? Yep. I asked. I'll be fine. You can kind of place it to where it might hit both of them and not us.
Starting point is 03:28:08 That's true. Is it that big? Exactly. Yeah, that's fireball. Yeah, dude. Well then yeah, I'm smoking them both. Do it. All right, that's gonna, in order to do that, you're gonna hit
Starting point is 03:28:18 Pike, Vax, and Grog. Sorry, friends. That's okay. Pike has fire resistance, which is good to know. You don't have to hit me. So I need Grog, Vax, and Pike to make dexterity safe. Is it possible to do it without hitting grog? Nope, none of that size. I mean, he probably could, but it'll hit Trinket.
Starting point is 03:28:39 It'll hit Trinket. Your choice. Your Scanlan's choice. His trinket or hit? Draug or Trinket? You can hit one or the other? Shite. I love my Trinket.
Starting point is 03:28:51 Sorry, Pike. It just goes back into the No one place. All right, you're right, then I'll hit Trinket. Okay. Your dick. All right, roll a dexterity safe for Trinket. Oh, motherfucker. You're so tired.
Starting point is 03:29:06 I already roll it's terribly for Pike. Jesus. It's a wand. Yeah. So I'm using three. Charges. Three charges to do the third level. 10 D6.
Starting point is 03:29:16 Oh, right. Oh, right. So 10 D6 points of fire damage. Can't wait. All right. 11. I have zero D6 right now. I don't know what happened by now.
Starting point is 03:29:24 I have 10. All right. Five. Six. Back's got a 20. Okay. And your spell, what does DC on the lawn? 15.
Starting point is 03:29:32 10. D6. So yeah. So you succeed, you take no damage. No damage. Deng a rogue. Lovely. Lovely this. And the pirate is a.
Starting point is 03:29:42 This is what? There's six. I can't remember. What's that? Flip it over? Cool, cool, cool. This is fine. That's a good roll.
Starting point is 03:29:58 40. So 40 points of fire damage, 20 to Pike, because she's resistant. None to that. 40 to the trinket. And you watch as... You watch as... Don't you have fire resistance? Both of the standing trolls just scattered ash.
Starting point is 03:30:20 Just... Turn to burned dust and nothing as their bodies are consumed by the flame of the fireball, leaving nothing but smoke and a shadow of their form against the wall. All right, Scanlan. That ends your turn? I was barely about 250. Yeah, and just to refresh, that's a wand. Does that still use my spell slot? No, the one has charges on it. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:30:45 Can you use that wand again? Yeah, it regenerates after a long rest. I have a roll for it. Yeah. But it's not a one shot. It's got several charges, right? It's got several charges. Okay, good, good. It's got more in it.
Starting point is 03:30:57 Okay. Do you know how many charges has? Good hustle. Good hustle, everybody. Good job. Good job, good job. You want to shut the traps and see if there's anything interested in me. Pike says, we probably have a bad.
Starting point is 03:31:08 Oh, there's still one troll over here that's that ran out of sight. You have 45 seconds maybe before that other troll realizes that he's not scared of me anymore. Well, let's go plunder the loot. There's loot? You guys go plunder the loot. kind of creep over. Let's go kill the troll. Look over to...
Starting point is 03:31:26 Sorry, I'm just in your turn, I feel bad about that. That's okay. You're so cute. Oh. So you're just going where? I want to see if I can see him. Six, and you're going to go to dash with your action to move over? Can I not see him? Not with your basic movement, no.
Starting point is 03:31:42 There's a wall. Yeah, might as well. You have two turns out. Yeah. That's true. You do. Yeah. So move around the corner and you watch as the troll is currently like
Starting point is 03:31:51 locked in the corner, but it's back to the wall going, oh, I don't get you. He's got a really pretty necklace on him. Hey, hey, it's okay, it's okay. Calm, calm, call him, call him, fireball out of the staff. Okay. Nah, don't tread on me.
Starting point is 03:32:08 Goodness gracious, great good balls a fire. Bum, mhm, ma'am, ma'am, b'am. B'bubbub. Yeah, no, it won't hit anything but himself in the surrounding chamber. All right, so go ahead and, um, Roll damage on that?
Starting point is 03:32:22 One, two, three, four, five. Can I get two more D-Fixes from you? You're doing a standard eight D6? It's out of my staff. I can't do any more, right? Oh, right, yeah. How do I lose all my D-6s? R-roll one.
Starting point is 03:32:36 You got two ones there. That's a one. Like a D6. Like a D6. Whoa. Okay, yeah, yeah. Critical. Crick-roll.
Starting point is 03:32:46 Okay, so 10, 16, 20, four, 8, 30. Five. 35 damage. 35 damage. All righty. The explosion hits and bursts around. The flames burn, and you can see like some flames are catching on the trolls. Oh no.
Starting point is 03:33:08 Still alive? Still alive? Yeah. Okay. I'm going to take my bonus action to do something I've never done before, and I am going to trace from my staff and pull out a flame blade. Okay. Wow. So you guys watch as Keyleth puts her fingers across the top of the staff and where her
Starting point is 03:33:27 fingers kind of arc around, it creates this arc of fire. And when she stops, she grabs onto a hilt that didn't exist, but now does in her hand. And that arc of flame that stayed suddenly solidifies into a scimitar-like blade that's in her hand. No. She can do that? You can do that? She's a fucking Jedi. All right.
Starting point is 03:33:45 That's pretty sick. That's pretty sick. Yeah. And then I'll just wait for her. Yeah. You didn't even see it. I'm just going to put it in towards that other room.
Starting point is 03:33:54 I can't imagine in the abstract universe though. I sure can, Laura Bailey, I sure can. Oh, look who's back in the fight. Yeah, that's all. Ain't nothing else happening. You're just going and looking for loot. Yeah, yeah. She's got this.
Starting point is 03:34:12 That's true. Don't like groglo, you know what happens when that happens. All right, and it's Percibal's turn. Vex here up. I'm gonna. Look for loot. No, I'm going to. I'm gonna fly over.
Starting point is 03:34:23 Can I, well, can I get to a place where I can see the troll? How many is this? Are you gonna fly down? I'm gonna fly down. I'm 50 feet on my broom. You could dash. Broom dash. You can get right around there and see it.
Starting point is 03:34:39 There you go. I'm gonna shoot him. All right, go for it. And he's still hunter's marked. He is, yes. Blazing. That's not a Hawaiian leg. Uh, 17?
Starting point is 03:34:48 17 does hit. Oh, thank God. Is it? Is it? Nope. It was a . It didn't happen. 13.
Starting point is 03:34:57 13 plus three lightning damage. Plus one hunter's mark. Got it. The first strike hits it. It's always like the fire kind of trailing up its body. Second shot. 21. That hits.
Starting point is 03:35:16 Say the thing that you wanted to say. The blazing bow string? Yeah, yeah. That. Blazing bow string. But I didn't say it. Sorry. I only get two per short rest, so if we don't rest,
Starting point is 03:35:29 then I don't get it again. Yeah, yeah. Don't save our lives, whatever you do. Six. Lightning damage. Nice. Plus nine, plus two. 11.
Starting point is 03:35:39 All right, so both arrows hit it in the chest. One, two. And it's still kind of standing there. The flames curling around it. The ceiling, by the way, from the impact of the fireballs, like, is looking pretty fragile. But that's the exit. That's where we need to go to. You do see Keelith, from this perspective. There is a small opening on the far wall where it looks like possibly whoever raided this vault had previously tunneled into it.
Starting point is 03:36:09 Shit. Shit. Would Trinket have been able to make it over to him? Would Trinket have been able to make it over to him? It would have been really close. Probably, probably not. You don't know. There's several factors. It's possible. 17 backers. And your turnbacks?
Starting point is 03:36:27 Yeah. Pike's up. Pike saw Kieleth go running down that way, so she is going to run after her. All right. Yeah. Clean, time, quick, going, turn, click, cli, cli, five.
Starting point is 03:36:40 And she will, she can't see the troll from there, right? She can see the troll just past the corner there. She can see the troll. Oh, my God, I think it's time for a guiding bowl. Oh! Guiding bowl at the butt! A butt! A gut!
Starting point is 03:36:52 It's her next t-shirt. Gotting balled up the butt. That's true. Range 120 feet. A flash of light streaks towards a creature of your choice within range. Make a range spell attack against the target on a hit. The target takes 46. The target takes 46.
Starting point is 03:37:05 Can I roll? Can I roll? Yeah, make a spell range attack plus 10 because it's Pike. Oh, we have to attack. Yeah, you go to attack and I'll roll for damage if you hit. Yo, here's the white die you gave me. That's good. That's 10.
Starting point is 03:37:20 Plus 10 is 23. That hits. Go and roll damage. Well. Extra damage because it's undead? I don't think so. No. Ten.
Starting point is 03:37:30 Twelve. Guiding bolt. Twelve. One right up to prep. Specifically towards the taint map. She's aiming for, is this the same, no, this is a different guy that she grottled? Fikes on a tear today. All right, so as she comes around the corner and with the holy symbol of one hand, kind of clutching behind the shield, she notches the edge of the mace at the edge of her belt and releases a bolt of her bolt of energy.
Starting point is 03:37:54 How do you want to do this? Oh! Piking one! Double Pikes, double heavy one. Because the radiant damage shuts down the undead fortitude, and the fire knocks down the regeneration. The guiding bolt streaks through the air, loops down to the ground, up through the butt, up out the head,
Starting point is 03:38:16 and out the mouth, and out the mouth, and everyone vaguely, vaguely, vaguely hears, that's my pike. and its head explodes. Like the impaler. You see the radiant energy bursting out of its eyes, and as it screams, its head blasted upward, the energy bursting through its mouth, the jaw begins to burn away as the flames left over
Starting point is 03:38:35 from the fireball consume the rest of its body as it tumbles to its knees and then burns in this kind of skeletal mass that turns to ash to the ground. Yeah. There are chests about. Take my flaming sword and just do a few Jedi like Jedi kid moves. When no one's looking, just go fom, fom, fom, fom, fom, fom, fom, fom, fom, fom.
Starting point is 03:41:45 Check. I go check the tree on the bruce. Yeah, let's check the chest. Yeah, let's check the chest. Okay. Yeah. Investigations check. Did that mimic in you?
Starting point is 03:41:56 It's like early, internet. You look at it. 14. Thank you for bringing that back. 14? Okay, does not appear to be tracks. All right, then I'm going to open it. Open it. There are seven gold pieces, two silver, and the rest of it's empty.
Starting point is 03:42:11 Awesome. Oh, God, think of all the... Look at all this money. Beers we can buy with that. Check the tracts. He's heavily rated. All the beer? All the one beer.
Starting point is 03:42:23 Six puck and netty ice for a row. It's a 22. It's a 22. 22, okay. Room does not appear to be trapped. What you can see. I'm going to check that, check that trunk. All right.
Starting point is 03:42:36 Chat, chat. Can you check out the traps as well? You see anything from that doorway. Can I see anything from that? This is not quite a... Selection check. Seven. Seven, doesn't appear to be trapped.
Starting point is 03:42:47 All right, I'll open it. Don't fuck me, Gil. I wander in and go. It opens, it's not locked. 26. There's about 12 pieces of gold, two copper, it would be silver. This place has been cleared out.
Starting point is 03:42:57 I'm gonna pick up that little pile of gold, those like couple pieces of gold I see on the ground, and then walk towards the end. Okay, so you gather what amounts to about 35 gold pieces from there. Kielis, what you roll? 26. That's gonna come in hand.
Starting point is 03:43:10 26. You're watching just as one of the supports that, like the ceilings here are pretty solid. The one on the far end here is sustained damage from the fireball and the seeming drilling entry that whoever came in here previously, and the constant moves the Titan, at which point you're watching you feel the
Starting point is 03:43:24 The most recent footfall of the Titan and the whole ceiling right there and the corner was I see this entire chamber. Oh, door is in. A door. Can you get through it? Remember there were three different ways though and we just took one. That's the one we need. This is it. Let's get through here.
Starting point is 03:43:48 All right. Okay, realizing that the Druid and the Goliath, I'm going to have to figure that out, Vax walks to the middle there and starts to take a wee in the corner on the outside. Yeah, because it's been a long time. We don't want to do it to you. Do we want to go through the collapsed doorway or do we want to go back to the one of the other tunnels? Well, we already, whatever other tunnel options is probably other monsters or trolls of fucking undead waiting there too. So let's just fucking go through this door.
Starting point is 03:44:13 This is on you, Grog. I can do a few things. I can. Don't use any spells. No, it's going to use any spells. Well, hang on, hang on. Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait.
Starting point is 03:44:23 I can. commune with nature and maybe like figure out tunnel system, or depending on where we are and if we think it's like, now we're on that time crunch and we want to get going. I didn't want to burn this yet. I did bring Find the Path, which is a one day concentration spell, which just gets us to where we want to go as quick as possible, like finding, but I don't know.
Starting point is 03:44:46 But can I do that with Starop thoregallum? But don't you need to know where you're going for that spell to work? Well, if we're getting to Tharampala, that's a big city. Onpala. Getting to the top. It's concentration for up the one day.
Starting point is 03:45:02 But it only lasts until you lose concentration halfway through. Which is why I haven't wanted to do it yet. Until we felt like we needed to go. Specific fixed location you're familiar with in the same plan of existence. So you could in theory say Thar Amfala, and it would guide you to the fastest path there until you lost concentration. Until you have a concentration. If you have an hour, somebody's
Starting point is 03:45:23 through it. I'm just saying we have that at our disposal, but when we feel. Do we want to just do a quick commune with nature then to try and get paths? It's going to take a few minutes though. What would that tell you? I could get like an idea of the tunnel system for like a three mile radius. Okay. Let her do her thing. I don't we can afford a few minutes. Right? Could I do that? Yeah. And Grau could finish a tune. Oh no you did. Stop pitting yourself. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I finished the tuning with the black Hammer or face smash?
Starting point is 03:45:55 Oh yeah, yeah, no. Is the hammer called the Stop Hitting Yourself hammer? Is it? Best you can make out with it, it is an Anamantine hammer, but there is something wrong about its enchantment. Yeah, no shit. There is something about it that is locked into your soul at the moment. Oh, no.
Starting point is 03:46:11 And it's like occupying a portion of yourself to the point where you don't. You're going to crit on Vecna and K-O yourself. Yeah, maybe. What is with you and Sidney? Pike, you guys have dealt with cursed items before this is a cursed item. Can she? Greater restoration is? Looking.
Starting point is 03:46:33 Well, I don't, do I know it's cursed? It's a familiar feeling like that. We can guess it that shit. Well, Craven wasn't cursed. Craven was intelligent. That's right. This is just a, like something is just sunk into your... No card.
Starting point is 03:46:46 Is there a card for it? She's going to try to grade a restoration. Okay. We're going to come up now. Yeah, she'll grab them by the cheeks and squish the cheek. and say, Grog, Grog, Grog, don't go touching things you don't know what they are. Cass greater restoration. Okay, so mark off the good restoration.
Starting point is 03:47:02 We sort of gave it to him as Pike. As you feel the hammer in your hand and it's like your fingers won't let go of it, like they're almost clenched to it. The minute she touches you, you feel this warmth kind of passed through your body, through your arms to your hand. And with that, your fingers widen and the hammer just falls to the ground there. and that hold that had on you is lifted. The curse has been. I think I'm just going to leave us here, Vascoi.
Starting point is 03:47:26 No, it's all right. You see the mom look and says, don't. Touch it. Can you, do you have time to attune to your other thing? Yeah, I'll pick up the blood X out of the back of holding and start attuning to that again. We learned about us. All trusty blood X.
Starting point is 03:47:46 Sometimes things are cool. So you guys are taking a short rest to attune? In caves and other natural underground settings. Make a nature check. Make a nature check. The radius is only 300 feet when you're underground. Come on purple girl. Nature check. You're in a body. What's that mean? 25. 25. One, this is not a natural underground location. The entirety of this area is the inside of an ancient, powerful, elemental entity. Also, the spell doesn't function where nature has been replaced by construction, such as dungeons
Starting point is 03:48:23 and towns. So the most part of that spell would not aid you. My apologies. Okay. So, but you're not letting me cast it, right? I'm not letting you cast it. The nature check was to see whether or not it would have, like, the surroundings would help you. So you know not to waste that spell. So as you take your short rest, you attuned to your proper weapon, and you begin to talk
Starting point is 03:48:43 amongst yourselves as to what the next proper path or action to take is as you climb through the crypts towards your destination. We're going to go ahead in tonight's session there. It's just past 11, so. I gotta take a picture of this. Holy shit. I mean, I know the internet has, is it? Great King, guys.
Starting point is 03:49:03 Well done. We'll pick this up in a couple weeks. We're going to do two more. This is an upward dungeon crawl. Yeah, holy shit. Yeah. He must have fallen. He must have fallen.
Starting point is 03:49:16 him burn a few more his eyes. Against the mountain in like an upright manner. Oh, the Titan. The Titan was thrust into the ground, like in a mountain range, in the mountain range kind of rose up around it. Like part of what, technically, and you wouldn't know, this doesn't matter, but part of the battle that smote this Titan
Starting point is 03:49:34 basically thrust it downward and created the mountain range around it. Nice job, Matt. Nice job you guys. That was awesome. Pick this up in a couple weeks. You guys will return next week where you'll get to see this awesome man, Run his awesome game. It's gonna be awesome.
Starting point is 03:49:52 It's all set in the world of Alice in Wonderland. Is it? No. It's so cool. That would be cool. And guys have so much fucking fun on the playa, recharge, reset. We will. Energize, go nuts.
Starting point is 03:50:09 I miss you. We'll miss you too, guys. Any critters who were on the plia with these guys, they will take off their clothes if you ask them. Don't. No, please don't say that. No, they need to recharge. Give them some space.
Starting point is 03:50:23 Let them recharge. Let them recharge. If you've seen me Toplis, please don't take a photo. Oh, God. Why would you say that? Why would you say that? It was a joke. I know, I know.
Starting point is 03:50:36 It was a fucking joke that the internet will take too seriously. Sure. That's why. I'll be Topless on Sam's one shot. You can look at me. There you go. There you go. That's a lot.
Starting point is 03:50:47 Take all the fog out. Please do. Your chef's for seven days. Here we go. We'll permanently fuck up your wife out. Yeah. All right guys. Well, we're in take off.
Starting point is 03:51:01 Thank you so much for joining us tonight. Rest well and is it Thursday yet. Good night. Yes.
