So where we had left off, our intrepid adventurers, Vox Machina, returned the traitor Ryskell Daxio to sovereign Uriel in the center of the town of Yaman, Grog beheading him as part of his punishment for being such a traitorous worshiper of the evil entity known as Vecna. Upon going out for a pub crawl, came across Gilmore in a secret

speakeasy, managed to enjoy Heroes Feast at his expense. Where is Vex and Vax both? All of you He got very drunk. I didn't get drunk at all. That's right, you didn't drink. Very waste. Gilmour had a very intense conversation with Vax over there to ensure where they stood and keel vomited multiple times. But after which the party found the way back to the keep where Dr. Drenzel and his spectacular traveling troupe were drinking and expecting you to be there in which they can converse and try and convince you of a little cape. that they've been trying to get their head around for a while,

and you seem to have the entry to this possible windfall of money. Scanlan, after courting this young pixie-haired gnome. Sort of new in the back of my head, right? No, I was courting her. No, it's true. Was instead confronted within his bedroom by Kaley, who revealed herself to be Scanlon's long, unknown daughter from many years ago, who had trained very hard as a bard at the College of the White Duke and Western,

and honed her skills at the blade with the intent of finding you one day and disgracing you. Thanks to Scanlan's sudden realization, change of heart and attempt to connect with his lost blood, broke a bit of that cold, honed exterior, and managed to prevent a very dangerous and possibly deadly encounter. She left frustrated and confused and hasn't been seen

since. The rest of you gathering the next morning discussed this endeavor with Dr. Drenzel and how they had found a home that had been long abandoned after being purchased by a collector, a home that you guys had ransacked a little over a year before after finding a portal within that led to a Dragon's Horde. as the previous person who lived there. General Creek was actually a dragon who had infiltrated the council. A really hot dragon. It was really cute. I remember thinking it was really cute. It was really cute.

I had a thing for General Craig. I was really sad when it turned out. I'm sorry, that worked out that way. The dragon had a lot of bling, too, if I remember. Yeah. That was Grog's famous, rage through being. General Krieg, bonescyth, brimsyth, sorry. Brimsyth. They're close.

Brimsyth, the dragon, was slaughtered in this endeavor. However, it's been a lot of. over a year since. You guys returned to this house, scoured it, found your way through the still existing secret passage that led you to the now partially collapsed cavern, which once housed Brimsyth and his horde. You found that the tunnel itself freezing cold, the rubble of the partially collapsed cavern had been ravaged by some sort of large clod entity that Vex had identified as another equally dangerous dragon who seemed to have rubbaged through and found the corpse of Brimsyth.

You also found that a number of gold coins and bit of his hoard that had been buried in this were now exposed by these strange smooth tunnels that were carved into the rock. Upon you, Scanlan and Trinket inquiring there, the rest of the party scattered, Pike, and Kieleth went to find what seemed to be the owner of the house, now frozen in fright in a far alcove, and the three rest of your group traveling towards the mouth of the cavern itself. before the ground begins to rumble. Suddenly, exploding from the rock and shale at the bottom of the cavern floor, you guys managed to see before you piercing forth from the ground itself a very, very large, segmented, armored, worm-like entity. Armored? The actual height itself

is like very, very thick. Super thick? Like with armor? Not with armored, just as natural, natural We kill it. We can make armor out of it. It was pale and icy, too. I think you were just wrong. It was darkish purple in its color and tint, like darks, black's purple, with rows and rows of teeth in coming out of its eyeless face. As it bursts out of the surface, I need you all to roll the initiative. Oh my God, right away.

Right away. We're just in it. Just like that. Wow, we didn't fight at all. Farrell, sweet, and fair a day. Oh, man. No. No. So, so shimmy initiables. So, yuck.

So starting the encounter, as you see this giant worm creature through the tunnel, you three of you now walking the other direction, you're fleeing the rumble, turn around. holding forth your great sword unsheathed, you can feel the power pulsing with each beat of your blood through your body as a little voice in the back of your head. Stimming from your weapon goes, Kiyah. You're up, Grog. Oh, my God. Well, I hope you're hungry.

But you have to wait one second or a bit far away. Can I travel as far as I can towards... Speed of 50, I believe. Yeah. Oh, I said I hid. At the end of the episode, I said I hid. Right. Roll still. Do I have to be in a line of sight with him, or is the edge of that?

As you rear back, kind of aim it with your eyes, and the frustration is palpable from Craven Edge as you kind of put it aside to throw the javelin instead, as it arcs into a bolt of energy that streaks forth, slams into the high.

slams into the hide of a giant purple worm. Go ahead in orange. 19. 19. All righty. Great. Poshu! Kind of rears in place, shakes itself for a second. It has no eyes, so it's not looking any different direction.

It just seems to be flailing in its current location. Can I go into a rage? Yeah, you assume me. I would like to rage. All right. Yes. Are you willing your special dice? So you bite the lower lip, you feel entice.

and taste, the blood begins to enter your mouth, and at that point the heat in the back of your shoulders and the neck begins to swell up. Grogs into a rage. That ends your turn. Kielith, you're up. natural, it's not of nature, and you've seen various types of, you know, eyeless worm-type creatures but nowhere near on this scale. So yeah, you have no idea beyond that. Okay. What you got? You are hiding definitely behind the pillar, but your footsteps, steps and you get the essence as soon as you see the creature, its head kind of follows you across the room, you get the sense immediately that it's not a site-based creature, it's

definitely a movement-based creature, and its head just follows you as you move. I'll defer, but let me go in stealth and rolling a 28 on stealth, the footsteps were still enough to alert it to where I was? Rolling up as a natural 20? I didn't attack yet. No, it was a combined 28. Just to go stealth. Right.

Even so, not light enough. Not quite light enough. Not with the knowledge that was an issue. you do the proximity of it and being a very sensitive creature to the rocks movement, it still picks you up. And I should have an attack, I should have an attack, right? Because I did the boots, I ran over here. Yep, so you have an attack.

Okay. Two. Well, two tags, yeah. Two, yeah. Two, because it was double the speed because of the boots. Correct, yeah, you have two attacks. All right. First one is... Shit.

That is 14, and the second one is, I'm going to do lack on that. The second one is 20. The second one hits. The first one, unfortunately, just bounces off of its hide. That's not a lot, but it is seven points of... Oh, balls. Seven points of damage. Got it.

Take it. First blood. It's looking pretty beat up. Pretty rough. All righty. Getting ready. At this point in time, the dagger embeds itself. And the dagger...

You see the hilt sinks into the hide and then vanishes in a puff of smoke as it returns to your belt. However, you can see the little bit of black liquid pouring forth from it, and its head has been trained on you since you moved across the room. The worm now disappears beneath the ground. Not cool. And you feel the ground beneath you begin to shake as it bursts out of the ground. Oh, my God. That's a 20 to hit. Can I use evasion?

Write it up like in se. To reduce the damage in half. Do you want? That's a sham who knows you. Huh? What's your AC? Oh, with the boots on the 18. Roll of 20.

Yeah, I know. So tell me what happens. So, as you look around you, all of a sudden, the jaws start coming up out of the ground behind you, the teeth biting into your body as you try and rest yourself away from its grip. You take 20 points of piercing damage. 20 points of piercing damage. Oh, well, uncanny dodge, right?

Evasion is for a spell effect. Right, evasion does not help you in the circumstance. Uncanny dodge allows you reduce the damage by half. Yes. So yes, you can do that. So you take 10 damage instead. I need you to make a dexterity saving throw. Oh, shit, boss. That's okay.

All right, so you... Um, okay. Natural 20. Oh! As the jaw has attempt to clamp around you, you manage to just Pull yourself away, tearing your knees across the teeth, but rolling in opposite direction, right in the place where you were as it bursts out of the ground.

Just aside you and writhes itself around in that direction. As it full body emerges now, you can see its tail, flop out of the tunnel it just made with this giant hooked stinger on the end. As it whips off in your direction. It's cut it. That is going to be a 15 to hit. I don't miss. That misses you. As the stinger swings towards you,

you manage to just duck out of the way. Your eyes trained on it in an absolute red fury, and it just whiffs past your face. That could have been bad. That ends its turn. Scanlan, you're up. Who's in front of me? Trinket.

You're next to Trinket, and Vex is behind you. Don't be a dick. I'm not going to be a dick. I brush past Trinket so I can see the worm. Okay, about there. You can see it from that. Okay, I hold up my cone, my hand cone, clarity and I will cast iBite singing to it.

Scanlan's eyes are biting you, making you very sick. Oh, Scanlan's eyes are biting you. Reververating off the cable. All right. So the iBite refers to my eyes. He doesn't need eyes. He doesn't even be able to see me. I have to be able to see him. Correct. It works. Okay. So I'm going to do.

there we go. All right, so as your spell completes it on, you can see its form kind of contracts for a second and its head hangs a little less strong as it did previously. And it almost goes slack for a moment from the impact of the spell affecting its physical form. All right, so it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for as long as it lasts. All right, so that's your movement, it's your action. Any bonus action?

I will inspire Vax by, with a limerick. I can't wait. I once knew a bear named Trinket and would often tell you he stinked. But you were appalled so you kicked me in the balls and now I don't say it, I just think it. It's wonderful. D10 experience, inspiration died to you, Vex. Yay! Plus or minus.

Oh. 28 points of damage. Okay. Wow. Quick reload, gonna get one more shot off, and I'm gonna take this one with the sharpshooter effect, just to see how things go.

Sure. The sharpshooter, if I mean the dead eye? Yep. Yeah, the dead eye. The negative to hit. Oh, got you. All right. 14 does not hit, unfortunately. As you load the second round, you pull bad news in front of you and you go to fire, the ground actually shakes beneath you. There's a quaking, not sure if it's from the creature, just the atmosphere around you. But as you do, the gun just misfires and it just fires, or doesn't actually miss fire, but it fires off into one of the side elements of the cave and you hear it ricochet off the rock. That's what I got. Okay. All right.

Twenty-eight damage is that's what you're up. Okay. Will you be able to move forward? Yeah. I'm going to send Trinket up to that little alcoe. Keep running. No. A little further.

A little further. A little further. What's Trinkets move in? So 40? Yes, so you can go there. That's as close as you can get to you. That's fine. Four, five.

Six, actually, seven, eight. That would be the quote. Get him ducked into that little side. Okay, I'll sit there. Yeah, like that. Trinke is now stepping onto a bit of slick of ice, and it's like, but it seems to be okay at the moment. Okay.

And then I move forward so I can see him. Right there. There. Okay. All right. All right. And I'm gonna hunters mark him. Alrighty. Nice.

And then I'm gonna shoot my long bow of the sky side tunnel at him. All righty. So that I'm gonna shoot an arrow and it divides into three arrows and they all turn into stormers. So I roll an attack for each one of those for my first attack. Yep. Okay.

As you release the arrow from the actual tension of the bow, as soon as it leaves your fingers, it almost burns the tips as it races into this arrow of pure energy. As it divides the middle of the air, you can see each arrow now sparking off bits of electrical power on its one area. Okay, so the first one is it 26? Hits.

Should I roll damage for that one? Roll to see how many hit. The second one is a 29. Hits. The third one is 20? 20 hits, yeah, all three hits. Okay, so. This is all happening in less than six seconds.

17. 20. 23 for the first arrow. Oh, yeah. 17 for the second one. Get on. Good, damn. And then 14.

16. You feel bad for this thing. 22, what is that, 27 for the third. Ooh, all right. That's each arrow, slams into its side. You can see portions of its kind of large chitness, almost like, armored shell, crack and break open, and you can see now these streams of black worm blood are kind of spilling down its side,

and it's, it's, shaking in place now in pain. I'm going to shoot through my blazing bowstring for my second attack. All right. Second attack. Yeah, that's just one attack. That was just one attack? She gets that once a day. Holy moly.

And 25. Five hits. Okay. You have more dice and a dice start. I know, it's ridiculous. It's 16. 19 and then an additional D10. Yep, a fire damage.

A fire damage. So 25 for the third. 25. That is a nasty round. Well done. For the fourth arrow. arrows slams into its side. There's a burst of fire from the impact, and you can see it now. It's starting to shriek this horrible, high-pitched, kind of multi-toned scream. All right,

that ends your turn. And I had rolled it 15 for stealth, not that it probably matters. No, it doesn't, not really. It's a box. And then I stay very, very still. Cool, so does Pike. Pice going to follow in Keelith's order, spend the round, kind of just keeping in place very quietly. All right, top of the round again, Grog, you're up. Oh.

Oh. Are we flying? No. I'm not at the moment. Fuck it. I take Craven Edge out. I hope you're hungry. And I would like to go into a frenzied rage.

All right. And I would like to attack the first two times at the big purple dick that just came out of the ground. Just, hey, move down a bit so you're not in my way. Which way? Kill, kill, Grog. Kill, I kill, I sweet. Grog's just charging in.

But you do see with each strike the intent of the sword to draw some of the strength or life force from the target, not really making any effect, unfortunately. All right. And in your turn, Grog, that vibration you feel in the ground now, it's curious because the worm itself is out of the ground now. Oh no. No. What caused you to lose your shot? You feel it grow stronger and stronger before suddenly near by. No. It's secondary.

Oh! Different looking but similar in size worm comes bursting out of the base of the cavern. We're in murder. We're trying to kill us. We're in a hentai. He's not the worm's on it. He's not. You can see now, as this bursts out, it's similar in size but different. This one is a thicker body. It's as a purple and white type exterior. And you can see frozen mist is just emanating from the outside of its open jaws.

This one that pukes ice. What? Pukes ice. This one made the dude frozen. Do you think they're doing it? This one. Oh, the baby one reared rears back. As this one rears back, opens its jaw and a burst.

of cold air and ice shards can spraying out of its mouth. Look at this cone you have. Getting towards these. Actually, we'll get the other worm too. Give me, Groh. Yes! Please the other worm! I need a constitution saving throw from Grog and Vax.

So as I like, really, like, run past Grog, I kind of brush his shoulder, and he turns into a mist form, and I turn into a mist form, and then I blast it out in everyone's missed form. All right, cool. So while in mist form, you guys can, you know, a flying speed of 300 feet, you have resistance to non-magical weapons, you can only dash. We can't attack. You can't attack? Oh, you can't attack? No. It's okay. You did it. It's awesome. You can take a minute to revert your form, but as of right now, all of you guys currently, you're, everyone within 30 feet. I'm not within 30 feet. Which is, let's into, so you can see

Pike, now you gotta read the spell. There's not effect Trinket because you can't see Trinket. Doesn't affect, doesn't affect you guys. Scanlan is just out of range. Fuck. No Scanlan, no Scanlan just had a range, yeah. So Vex and Scanlan, you're unaffected. You watched half of the party turn into these gashes forms. Oh my god, the worms have turned us all into clown. It just, it takes a minute to revert to your actual form to be able to do any sort of attack. And that's going to be way cooler. Spell that's still, I'm gonna do something. I've got some plans. It was a six level spell. I know. It's okay. You did so good.

Fire and radiant damage, as she just saw, she's mist in the air around the frost worm has no indication exactly what happened.

However, the frostbom did take it as well. That's going to end her turn as she kind of isn't quite sure to do at that point. That brings to the top of the round. Grog. Just back away from me. I'll just, I'll back up to the edge of the tunnel leading out of the... Yeah. All right.

All right, that completes your turn. Now we come to the Frostworms. on the frost worm, first and foremost. All right, it gets its frost breath back. It turns this way, burrows underneath, and seeing all the movement to decide, goes ahead and unleashes a secondary frost breath in this direction.

That will only affect the purple worm and backs. Need you guys to make Constitution saving throws? I can't remember evasion has nothing to do with this. Correct. Okay, I'm going to use luck. My last luck. Oh, God. That's not good.

So Constitution save? Right. Who, seven. Seven. Nope. Purple worm also does not make it. So that would be for both of you. So obviously these worms don't even care about each other at all.

No. Then, seemingly in this moment you see now there is just, there is not a kinship between them. If anything, they both arrived due to feeling the same movement, and one is currently now attacking whatever is large in the area that it doesn't recognize the center movement of. That is 12. Okay. Let me we can just get on fighting each other. That's what I'm thinking.

It's going to go ahead and attempt to make a bite attack against the frost worm.

Oh, yes! That is going to be a 12 that they're going to miss. However, hearing the noise, it's going to make a tail attack at the direction that Kulith is. Yeah. It's a natural one. Yay! Yay! As it arcs through, it just right next to your head. and then pulls out of the rubble. The rock to your left is now cracked and broken with a giant hole where the stinger had placed itself. I go, I hold my breath. Disad advantage of those attacks from that eye bite is really bad. That's been very helpful from Scanlon's point.

We don't know what this is and dangerous magics are drawn to imagery like this. Let us see what this is about first. Pike, can you discern what kind of entity this might be attached to? I had a feeling before. And she goes at her healing symbol and cast detect good or evil again in

the direction of the skull. You can see she kind of recoils in the moment that she concentrates. The aura is definitely evil from this object. Is that all you have, Pike? That's all you can find out. Good. Oh, God. As you cruise in for a moment, you can see, like the throne room itself and it's, you know, round, pattern has designs, kind of carved into the walls, look almost like Celtic knots. There are a number of these designs right towards the sides of each entrance that previously just looked like a design, but they emit a dull glow for a second, and a burst of arching energy comes out from them. You find your form immediately unfurl into that of Scanlan the gnome, which then plop back onto the ground, your polymorph spell dispelled. All of a sudden,

the talk stops, and the entire council turns back towards the entrance as you're catching yourself on the ground. That one's full, the one that I tried to go into. It's full and it needs a big cleaning. Good to know, Scanlan. I thought there was another one this way. There isn't Scanlan. Not through there or anything? All right.

Just unleashing a blast of icy, cold, magical breath into the inside of the tower. You can see now, screams, start tearing around you as the guards start getting their weapons ready. At which point, the dragon pulls its head back and looks about it, everyone's screaming, and pushes off the tower. As it does, you see the stonework crack in the top of a lura's tower, shatter. And I'll, uh, uh, uh, uh, What, fire somebody? I guess, I mean, who's near him? Just grog, right? Right now it's Grog, Percy and Pike are all still out right now. Um, uh, they'll get away, right?

They're gonna run, you're gonna run, right? You'll be fine. All right, uh, I'll just, I'll inspire Grog by saying, by saying, you're a magnificent, handsome bastard, don't die. All right. I mean, I did. She can get everyone, but shrink it seems fine, so. That is just 15 plus 15 plus 20 points healed to all of you guys. Right, that'll help. Except for Grog. That's going to be her turn, and she just moves into the circle there with the rest of her movement. That brings us to Percy.

Oh, good. Absolute chaos. And at this point, you hear in the distance a large explosion, as you see a rolling cloud of fire rise up in the distance over the mountain and the rest of regular imam surrounding the cloud top district. This going over here is going to run as well. I mean that turn, Grog, you're up.

Um, bookin ass. Okay. Well, Dash, you get over to touch there. Don't worry. My magical hand is there. Ryshawn now is going to move over here. Hey, but I try to stop him. When I try to.

It's got a strength of 26. That's awesome. Interposing hand just gives you cover against the target. It can't move the hand space if it's strength is four. So it's not going to move through the space. It's going to try and kind of move to the side. So instead of going after you guys, the hand just kind of moves with it and keeps it in between, but it stays approximately here.

It then blows towards this crowd here, and just catching Grog in the corner. So Grog needs to make another constitution save. With inspiration. With inspiration if you'd like. If you need it. I'm okay. 26.

You succeed. So you take, we'll say 33 points of poison damage, halved to 17. All right. The rest of these guys except for, Oh, no, grog, no, grog, no. Oh, pull the... Those guys all survived, though,

they're like coughing and trying to get away. This brings us to end of his turn. At this point in time, you look up and see, another set of wings, come slamming down. To this side. Holy shit, look at the side of that. What is that thing? Oh my God.

Oh my God. As it lands, it kind of looks down at the group and then runs up the side of a building's rooftop up here. Oh, Jesus Christ. So we're totally getting in the tree. I know it. We're going to make it. The tree has been evaporated.

So the rest of you guys, are you all moving as a group forward? Oh, hell's yes. Okay. You all go rushing. Yeah, we dash. You all go dashing forward. Bamka style. At full speed, aside from Vax can get to the tree this turn, the rest of you are going to get

halfway there. So we'll say for the purposes of this moving it. They're not a big bush closer? We're not. We're not. There's not a closer bush? Nothing close. No, not currently.

The closest large enough plant to use this ability. Me and Pike get there because I dimension Dora. Okay. So, I'm trying like Grog can get there too. And Vax and Pike and Scanlan. You guys all get, the rest of you are inside the anti-life shell as you're running. I'm not going to leave the group. I'm going to pace with them.

Okay, they pace alongside them. We can't do anything. As you're pushing forward, the large black dragon that is like just kind of toying with you, it's climbing across the rooftops and just watching you as you run. And he just hear it kind of chuckling under his breath. Okay, is he taking into the air? He takes the air and jumps on another rooftop. Okay, okay, I'm going to try as I'm running.

Do I have enough time to try and take a shot? You can, yeah. Am I going to be able to keep up with the group? Probably not. Never mind, damn it, never mind. Okay, so you're like, ah! and you just keep running. It now jumped over onto this rooftop,

and Ryshan has moved up towards the center and making its way towards you. Oh, no. At this moment, another burst of fire over the wall here, much closer goes, and swooping out of it, out of the flames, you see the largest red dragon you've ever experienced. What did we do?

I'm swishing through the flames, rises up past. The two of the dragons almost lower. their heads as it passes over. I mean they just want their gold back. It swoops past without even noticing you all. Slams onto the top of the palace, causing part of the entire throne room glass dome structure to shatter and break inward before it turns around,

plans itself outward. And you've seen ancient dragons. This is large for an ancient dragon. In fact, by the sheer size, you feel like you may have encountered this individual before when you were passing through the plane of fire. That fuck that was like the biggest dragon ever ever. Oh God.

I don't remember that. The guy that we missed because we lay low from him, he flew over and we were like, don't move, and we missed him. As it lands, the two of the dragons kind of take a step back and recoil and snarl, and you hear this voice come just tearing through the center of the cloud top district saying, Move on, Amraseel. I claim this is my domain now. The rest of you have a test complete. Go!

Shall remain and set our new domain of the Chroma conclave. At which point the two of the dragons kind of snap at each other, and they both, the black one, just kind of whoosh, whoosh, takes off in this distance. The green dragon kind of stalks for a second and then kind of angrily turns around and climbs back up. onto the top of the wall and then flies off into the distance as well, both of them heading westward. West. Oh, we're okay. Hey guys, it's fine.

You watch as they curve around, and start heading east. East? At this point, you guys have now reached the outskirts of the tree, and you can see now this large red dragon that has planted itself. He's died. He died. He died. He's fine. It's fine.

It's fine. flames into the center of the cloud top. As you can briefly see javelins being thrown, bolts being shot, and you just hear a wave of screams in the distance as it just rings death through the center of Iman. You're at the Triculililith. Where are you going? Where are we going? Where are we going? What are we doing? What we go back to the keep? Or to what do? To what do we do? To the keep, to the keep, to the keep, to the keep. To the keep. Get underground. We need that skull. What? Just go again. Grants a wish.

Wrong. The skull... Just get to the key. Just get to the key. I cast transport via plants on the fucking tree. The tree opens up in a small kind of oval almond-shaped portal and you can see it's kind of in the intensity. It's partially unstable, but it's keeping itself clean. You guys each dive in as the anti-life shell vanishes.

I shall kill me! Okay. And you come leaping through the center of the tree as it closes behind you. And we're going to end tonight's session on that point. Oh my God.
