You're all going to buzz in. You have to give the answer, all right? I'm going to give you two clues, two clues, like two words.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And you buzz in and tell me what the words are. Here's a hint, here's a clue. All the answers are the same. Okay, so like, for instance, if I were to say, the rear part of your check, and what a fire does. Backblaze.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Back plays, yes, that's right. Okay, that's more. One point for Laura. Okay, here the game begins. The opposite color of white and the topmost part of a helicopter. Black blades. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Classical composer Johann Sebastian and a hairstyle made popular by Pippi Longstocking. Fock Braids. Foss Braids. Damn it. Bailey, two points. Is there like a buzzer system? You just have to yell at it.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Pages of paper bound together O'Meal. And a climbing or rappel technique. Binder repel. What? Blder. Bind, but, look. Oh, book.

Starting point is 00:03:38 I thought pages binded together. I was gonna say Brad. Okay, okay. This is not a real game. I invented this on the drive over now. Okay, one more. You know what? You guys aren't playing anymore.
Starting point is 00:03:51 This is between Laura and Travis. Okay. You know what? I'm gonna do two more, just because I wrote them. Popular Ben Folds 5 song and the abrasive sound a donkey makes. Oh, I know what is. Brick bray. Bray.

Starting point is 00:04:48 Never really. They are running for them. Indeed. All right. Let me get to the right next few nothing. Quick then. You guys got to see a video before this that Geek and Sunday put together.
Starting point is 00:05:01 It was a fun kind of weekend shoot to talk about the new game masquerade. I talked about it in previous episode. but it's an awesome PC RPG. I am so in love with the process of us putting this together. It's a great story, a fantastic cast, incredible writing, and very much harkens to the isometric, you know, Baldr's Gate, Plainscape, Torment-style RPG format at the early 2000s. I highly recommend it. I think you should check it out. I think it's in Steam now, and hope you like it. Next up, my first episode of the new GMTips series is out today. Yay! It goes a little behind my screen and gives us a little behind my screen and gives some some ideas as to how you can set up your own GM,
Starting point is 00:05:39 you know, circumstance and experience. Mind you, most of it's just fluff. You don't need any of that to run a game. You can just have books, dice, and paper and pens, and you're good to go. But these are just suggestions and an example of kind of the things that I do to run my game smoothly, and you can check it out if you like it. New episodes will be coming out every Wednesday on Alpha, I suppose,
Starting point is 00:05:58 and then on Thursdays they'll be going off on YouTube and the website proper. So... That's GM tips or gom-tips? Gm-tips. They are now. It is now, nothing versus gm-tips. I got your back, homie. Thank you, Travis.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Disadvantage. So check that out. Also, my last announcement for me, there's a project up on Kickstarter now called Open Legend RPG. It's a cooling RPG system. Both myself and Ed Greenwood, the creator of Féerun and the Forgotten Realms,
Starting point is 00:06:33 are contributing to this project. It looks pretty cool. People involved are really nice. And go ahead and check it out and see if it's your jam. And if it is, you should go ahead and help support it. So check it out. It's Open Legend RPG. That's all my announcements. Does anybody else have anything they want to talk about?
Starting point is 00:06:49 What about our Halloween costume? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been seeing some of them. Yeah. It's critical costumes is a hashtag, right? Hashtag critical costumes. How do you explain the competition? Yeah, next week I think is where we're stopping, right?
Starting point is 00:07:05 On Halloween is the last day. Halloween's the last day to submit, and then we're all just going to look at all your costumes and just decide who we like. I will say I did have a cat dressed up as my character, so the bar is pretty high. I saw you the amazing vex today. I'm just saying, I'm just being biased. The winners are not going to be announced next week. No. The week after.
Starting point is 00:07:25 The first Thursday of November we will be announcing the winners. And we don't know what the prizes are, but it will include my shirt. Your sweaty shirts. Yes. Not that shirt. Not that shirt. This is my shirt. This is my shirt.
Starting point is 00:07:36 But the other one of the one. Forever. Yep. Yup. Yuck. One of these days you're gonna wake up, put a shirt on, and just universe is gonna fold in on you. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:07:49 All righty. Anything else? All right then. That means the case. Let's go ahead and dive down into tonight's episode. Deepda. What the fuck that was. Oh my god
Starting point is 00:08:10 That's a t-shirt It's still a broken set behind you, Matthew What do you? Oh dear God, okay Yeah, we should buy more of those I've made an easy way I've offered to buy one For like a month now
Starting point is 00:08:29 Why don't you just fix it? The torches in the back Oh, why don't you just Do me the link You can literally do it on Amazon Do we have the link to the torches Because we could just order one If it puts them coming
Starting point is 00:08:42 Uh-huh. Pucket? What a great last name. Yeah. I bet if you search on Amazon Dragon Alleghen. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Yeah, of course, yeah. Porches. Oh, that will do. Thank you. This balanced breakfast. Welcome back, everyone. I just physically ordered
Starting point is 00:09:44 fixed soon. Because sometimes you just got to do it yourself. Anyway, welcome back. So, to continue from where we left off for tonight's episode of Critical Role, Vox Machina, are heroic players and characters. So heroic.
Starting point is 00:10:03 And fighting their way across Lamb of Taldore against the chroma conclate, a gathering of ancient chromatic dragons that have torn the current civilization asunder. They've gathered a number of artifacts of old called the Vestages of Divergence, and recently made allies with one of these dragons, Rysha, the green dragon of the conclave, apparently interested in revolting against the conclave's leader,
Starting point is 00:10:28 Fordach the Cinder King. A tentative alliance has been forged and to prove both the stouterness of that alliance, as well as to further your agenda against the conclave, you all traveled back to Wild Mount, to the ruins of Draconia with the help of the Ravanites. You set a trap for Vorogal, the frigid doom. You summoned using your single gate scroll from the abyss, Yank, the Goristro, a great powerful siege demon, and basically caused it to battle with the white dragon.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Partway through, the encounter got even more intense. You all rushed into the fray. The crap kicked out of you in a lot of cases, but when all was said and done, with the aid of Raishan, you felled, Goral, the final shot being landed by Vexalia herself. Thank you. You guys have now taken a moment. You've discussed with Ryshawn to meet back in Whitestone,
Starting point is 00:11:28 after which she reverted form and vanished. And you've now begun to collect your spoils and gather what you can of the battlefield at this moment. So that's where you pick up this week. So what would you like to do? I mean, we've got it by market. Did you have dragon bits you wanted to gather? I did very much, though.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And some yank, I imagine. A little bit of yank, a little bit of dragon. I got a little yank blood already. You did, you did. Brazen guys. Well, just dive in. I know, I just want to flip out already. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:06 All right, so you're heading to the dragon or yank first? Dragon. Okay, so you head to the dragon. Finally. Okay, so you guys head over there. You now see partially crushed with elements of the wall that had crumbled in on Voragal's body. You see now emerging from the center of the scales in the chest as it lays in its back slain, its throat torn out by Ryshan.
Starting point is 00:12:30 A piercing tree begins to burrow its way through the torso, the dragon, and bloom outward. Waiting for that process to finish, you bring out your carving dagger. I patiently wait for the tree. I don't want to interrupt. That's rude. It grows pretty fast as part of the enchantment of the Fendres. So that brief pause completed. You go to town with your blade on the dragon's corpse. So let's go ahead and make a check on this. This would be... Oh, that's cool. Oh, no. 28. 28, okay. It takes... It'll take you the better part of about an hour.
Starting point is 00:13:16 to really harvest everything you want from this that's usable. And that's with aid from Scanlan, because it's a very big dragon and it's one small blade. So you begin that process now. I can help. I want to go up and carve a bear onto the tree growing out of Borodon. I may lend my cut dragon-like butter blade to this whole process as well. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Can I just pull off a scale, a single? scale? Is that really hard to do? Make a strength check. Two. You spend the next minute, minute and a half going, oh, it's not budge. It's actually three. It's actually three. Oh. The next minute and 20 seconds going you do manage to find a couple of loose scales in the ground nearby after you've thoroughly embarrassed yourself. I'll grab one and then I'm going to immediately start yelling for Tuma.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Tuma! Tuma! Okay. Well, he's doing that. What are you guys doing? Well, so the dragon's got booty, right? Yeah, like a lot. So I look over and they're like working on the dragon bits, everything's cool. Yank is like melting into the snow, right? Because it's like an alveen or whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:41 I take out running towards the layout. Grog! I'm gonna go with... Let's take a short rest before we do anything. No, I'm good. Grog's already run off. Scanlan's following. I'm going to polymorphin to a...
Starting point is 00:14:53 eagle and fly with her. Fuck you guys have this? I'm, yeah. Give me a claw. I want a claw to wear around my neck. I'll, that's gonna be, you're gonna be like Mr. T. I wanted something, something to wear around my neck. Fucking something, all right? All right, I'll take off on the broom after brought.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Just scooping up pike into a bit of a piggyback line, tearing her inside and we're just gonna rest. Okay. Yeah, because we got you really, she's thoroughly hurt, But you still have the entrance to the mansion. So you guys kind of pull into there to rest for the moment. While, as you're running, this eagle kind of comes up to your side and is getting on you a bit. As you come over the top of this one little kind of bridge area, as the ravine begins to widen and head towards the layer portion that Borogal was using,
Starting point is 00:15:44 you see before you a group of about 22 or so armored Dragonborn that are currently jogging up the ramp in your direction. as soon as you cross over the top they kind of come to a slower point the weapons out and you see one of them kind of raise its hand you recognize as Scorpe who you met earlier who was we've come to age you I'm still raging using persistent rage
Starting point is 00:16:11 and I point over my shoulder I go drag it that way and I keep running past it all right they pick up their weapons and they keep running pastes you just threw them the eagle cut following closely after Tuma is not with them I follow too, I'm following you. You coast up behind.
Starting point is 00:16:26 You begin catching up to Grog and the wayward eagle. You're the fastest of everything right now. I'm just following him, though. Okay, so you're saying back at the same speed. Okay, so as you guys being carving, you begin hearing the footsteps approaching of a numerous dragon boar. The rest of you guys continue down the path. So you begin to see the icy throne, if you will,
Starting point is 00:16:47 where Voragal had placed as the new layer in this northern portion of the ravine. You guys that are staying behind, oh, you're inside the mansion. You two, as you're carving your way into the dragon, all of a sudden you hear the footsteps and a bunch of these dragon-borne, you know, armored what looks to be scavenged pieces, kind of piecemeal leather hide with metallic bits armor, weapons. Definitely not of the highest degree from what you can tell.
Starting point is 00:17:11 For some, though some are ornate and seemingly unused, maybe scavenged from the fall of draconia. Approach and kind of slow in their jog and look over at the destroyers. the destroyed corpse of the dragon. Things went well. Man, how long of a jog is that? We all just kind of confused with each other and start talking to each other
Starting point is 00:17:34 and the language you don't understand. Oh, ah, man. Oof, Bex isn't here. No. All good, good. Fuck, yes. They nod, and a skork kind of gives a kind of respectful nod, and they all approach.
Starting point is 00:17:56 the dragon's corpse and start hacking in the world. Whoa, whoa, whoa, no, no, no, wait, wait, wait, what? I'm just... I'm going to point it all. You all, sun goes down, all of us, drink, back, back there. Go back. Everything's fine. Scork takes two, says, forward, and goes,
Starting point is 00:18:25 I understand and speak. Oh, thank you. Why didn't she say something? You're just standing there. You could have led with that, man. I've come to age you in the battle, is promised. I have seemingly done well without her presence. So it is all.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Greetings, adventurers. Spring has sprung here in Los Angeles, and that means it's a brief period where it's only 75 degrees instead of 95 degrees. I'll take it. And that means I've been outside a lot more. Walking around, occasionally galloping after a toddler hopped up on juice,
Starting point is 00:19:05 is traveling a bit. You know the vibe. And after doing some spring cleaning, my wardrobe, I gotta say, looking a little bit sad. I want clothes that can keep up with me and my son, but updating my wardrobe every spring sounds pretty expensive. So that's why I wound up signing up for Fabletics as a VIP. It let me overhaul my springtime outfits without obliterating my bank account. New VIPs unlock major savings on that first purchase, so trying new fits feels way more doable. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70 to 80% off everything. It made it easy to grab a few new pieces without overthinking it. And the quality really surprised me. Everything feels premium and soft and breathable, but you're not paying those premium prices.
Starting point is 00:19:49 What I like most, though, is how versatile everything is. You've got stuff you can work out in, but also wear out. There's matching sets, lightweight hoodies, joggers, teas, you name it. The kind of stuff you can throw on in the morning and not worry about later. When I'm at home, my favorite thing to pull on. on as the oversized hoodie. It's so comfy I could just live in it 24-7. It's perfect for walking my dog on like a chilly night. But what I'm out and about, I've really been loving the ribbed Johnny Collar polo. It makes me look like I should be taking a high-powered meeting by the pool
Starting point is 00:20:18 at the White Lotus, but hopefully with less murder involved. I don't know. It's insanely comfortable. I highly recommend it. So shop now at fabletics.com slash critical role to get 70 to 80% off everything when you sign up as a new VIP. Take a quick. style quiz and be sure to select critical role when prompted to unlock your 70 to 80% off. This is a limited time offer, so don't wait. Again, that's fablatics.com slash critical role for 70 to 80% off everything as a new VIP. And now, on to the show. Greetings, adventurers.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Lately, I've been getting a bit more intentional about what I wear from day to day, because instead of just falling out of whatever laundry baskets nearby, I've been leaning into pieces that feel easy and comfortable, but still put together. because it just makes getting dressed simpler when I have a plan. Quince has been my go-to to help with that, because the fabrics feel elevated, the fits are clean, and everything just works without me needing to overthink it. And Quintz has all the wardrobe staples you need for spring.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Think 100% European linen shorts and shirts from just $34. They're lightweight, they're breathable, they're comfortable, your legs and torso will thank you, and you will still look put together. And clean 100% Pima Cotton Tees with a softness, Well, you gotta feel that to believe it. Believe you me. Their pants also hit that same balance. They're relaxed, they're comfortable, but still polished enough to wear basically anywhere. And everything's priced between 50 and 80% less than what you'd find at similar brands.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Quince works directly with ethical factories and cuts out the middlemen, so you're getting premium materials without the markup. And since spring is here in Los Angeles, a brief period where it's 75 degrees instead of 95 degrees, I spruced up my wardrobe with a pair of the comfort stretch traveler five pocket pants and the heritage washed denim shirt. Not only do they feel great, but I unequivocally look good as hell while wearing them. That's just science. So refresh your every day with luxury you'll actually use. Head to quince.com slash critical role for free shipping on your order and 365-day returns. Now available in Canada too. That's Q-U-I-N-C-E.com
Starting point is 00:22:30 Critical Role for free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash critical role. We'll harvest the uses of water. There's so much dragon. Harvest gently though. We are trying to keep as much of it. Just let me, I'm working right here on this area and Vex wants a claw. So you trust me you don't want to put it to a little.
Starting point is 00:22:57 We're interested in hide and eat. We are interested in scale tooth and claw and maybe some eyeballs. So that works out very well. And blood. Perhaps some teeth and claws as well. with each other. We shall put it. We got, quist!
Starting point is 00:23:11 And all of them rush up and start hacking into the soft portions of the underbelly. That's fine. That was... That's true. ...and have left large wounds and such, and basically starting to carve huge bits of dragon. Mind the tree. Mind the tree. One of them was going for the tree and stops, like...
Starting point is 00:23:30 And then it looks very confused that the tree wasn't piercing through the dragon, but it's rooted inside of it, and they all kind of take them up with... start carving around. It's a very awkward kind of, they don't know what the hell happened, and it looks very strange from an outsider perspective, but they're trying to adjust best they can. Newtown Square will be able to. In the meantime, the three of you guys coast down towards the layer, you can still see all the ice spires that are jutting out from portions of the snow, the various Dragonborn Corpses is still adorning a number of the spires. As you begin to approach the Frone of Borogal, you can see there's a group of about 15 or so Dragonborn currently there that are just starting to kind of climb up and get to that portion to inspect. You see first, before anybody else does, Vaxa, that one of them appears to be a tumor who is walking with this kind of like gnarled staff that she keeps their side,
Starting point is 00:24:30 and they're all kind of approaching and climbing up the sides of the throne to get to the top. Nice, shout out. Don't go up there. Yeah, you shot that. There was a moment of pause, and then all of them turn and kind of look in your direction. I fly down close to Tumann. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Say quietly. Thorak has stones up there. If you go up top, it's possible to be able to know that you're a godist fault. He might already know. He's talking!
Starting point is 00:25:03 And the dragonborn around kind of slowly pull back. What you understand is her saying, hold off. Words of warning. They all pull back and kind of gather around you and they all stand kind of awaiting What this conversation is going to entail as Tuma steps forward to you
Starting point is 00:25:21 So you might understand then that the dragon has fallen I'll drop my form and throw the scale in front of her It's done as your fucking dragon You looked over at the rest of the people who are all kind of looking toward her towards her for confirmation You came to us with words You stood behind them. You display honor and honesty, things we find rare in supply outside of our people. Survivors of chain and frost are now truly free.
Starting point is 00:26:15 We thank you. But we'll need something more than just thanks. We have two requests to make of you. One, this is not the final fight. There will be more. and unlike this fight, we would expect your aid in the next one. Is that something you can guarantee us? Curious as to what you require from us.
Starting point is 00:26:44 We don't know yet, but you have many men, and they seem like good fighters, so we may call upon you in the future. Against what's full? He was commander of all of these dragons. See her face immediately goes a little, from that calm, welcoming, kind of elated expression she had him. I'm gonna go to this guarded,
Starting point is 00:27:14 kind of retracted position where she shifts her weight under the back leg. You will not be holding to us. We ask this of your own free will. All of Tal'Dore is at risk. We are not an army. We wish to help in this fight, for we had stake in it, both of us.
Starting point is 00:27:43 This was a mutual arrangement. You owe us nothing. We owe you nothing. But we are not ready to continue the fight immediately with a more dangerous both than this one. Hopefully it won't be immediately. And might I remind you that you did not help us in this fight? We did it all by ourselves.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Who do you think arranged through previous conversation to send the dragon your way into the trap that you had sprung at my suggestion of the place of proper and most conventional and helpful circumstances. It's true, canon. You may not have the might to finish the dragon. You told us that you would have men there to help us, and there was nothing.
Starting point is 00:28:32 We sent men your way. You knew when the fight was. We knew when to begin the fight, but we do not have means of traveling as fast as a dragon. I'm running around like a cracked-out PCP attic in the background. Just looking on the ground for booty, that's all. Reception check. One.
Starting point is 00:28:55 The snow is... There is just snow at ice, and it's pissing you off. I'm doing the dog thing? Yeah, yeah. Just more snow. More and more snow. In the middle of this conversation, some of it starts, like, spattering the side of the facts,
Starting point is 00:29:07 and you're like, no, stop it. Angrily rage-looting nothing. Rage dog shuffling. Draconia has had a history of separating itself from the rest of Tal'Dorei. This is an opportunity for you to welcome other communities, to become part of the rest of the world. Oh, you are right. From this, I think we could.
Starting point is 00:29:45 I think we could try to rebuild a new home for the Dragonborn of Wild Amp. From the mistakes of our predecessors and our oppressors, and we are no majestic mage nation. by any means. You're strong. Your strong. My time is nearly up. But what time I have left,
Starting point is 00:30:18 I fully intend to make sure that there is a future for my people, for the Ravanites. One more request before we go. Once we're long gone, you can feel free to inspect this hill where the dragon slept and be very careful in disarming
Starting point is 00:30:39 any traps that you might find there. and I would ask you one favor for us. We lost a friend in this fight, a dragon born. He's buried near here, we'll tell you where. We would like a proper tomb for him. On this hill where the dragon slept, would you build a statue, a fine statue,
Starting point is 00:31:02 a handsome statue of Tiberius stormwind and bury him underneath it? And on the pedestal, could you please write, I encourage peace. Looks over at one of the nearby dragon-born. This is Coruscar. He is our finest stone smith. I will see twir that it is done.
Starting point is 00:31:29 You teach your people of him, your offspring, that he was a brave dragon born who wanted to unify all of your peoples. This mound represents the spoils of the remains of draconia. The dragon greedily stole, hoard it, and forced us to gather the base of its icy seat. This will be the beginning of our new nation. And with this, we will make sure this statue comes to bear.
Starting point is 00:32:15 That's all you hear me saying. What are you looking for? How we look! What are we looking for? Can I make another perception, please? No. You can't, Scanlon. Giant snowing.
Starting point is 00:32:39 What am I looking for? Groh, what am I looking for? We're looking for loot. We're looking for that booty. Booty? Just dragon booty? Yeah. It would be up where the dragon sleeps. Not down here?
Starting point is 00:32:49 There's some under the ice right here. All right, I will peer down into the ice below us. With my 21 perception, Okay, you glanced down and, after pushing some of the snow out of the way, and it's kind of amazing that Grog didn't see this at all, but not really when you think about it. And encased in this pedestal,
Starting point is 00:33:15 of which Borogal had taken is it kind of a perch beneath multiple feet of thick, locked ice. You see an incredible amount of hoarded gold, silver, silver, platinum, glittering as bits of light break through the overhead clouds as the sleet is still raining down in places. Bits of it tend to gleam and shift and shimmer. You can see what looked to be finely crafted knickknacks,
Starting point is 00:33:42 and statues and gems and antique metals, all buried deep beneath this platform. Looks to be pieces of ornate armor and weaponry and all sorts of just random assortment of items that are locked beneath feet of ice right there before. Nothing there, Grog Sorry No, it has to be here somewhere
Starting point is 00:34:03 My BFF I see it Oh yeah, once he points it out Immediately you clarify The red haze that was covering your eyes Suddenly fades and you see Shiny Can I use the siege portion
Starting point is 00:34:23 Of the Titan stone knuckles And start smacking the shit Out of this ice trying to get down there Yes you can It's like Whackack! Yeah Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:31 A friend is helping you. I deal double damage against objects and structure. Ooh, double damage against ice. And as you do, as you start something, each punch, the ice more cracks begin to spider out. An incredible feat of striking. You can see the Dragon Moire kind of take a few steps back at this view. And Tuma is almost intrigued at this point,
Starting point is 00:34:53 staring this kind of a grin across her face, as this kind of symbolic destruction of what represented Voragal's lording over their entire life is being ripped apart by this half giant madman. A few more punches through, and a whole portion slides off, and you have to kind of move out of the way. You're just knock it aside with your fist and keep punching through. And eventually you get about over the next 10 or 15 minutes, breaking through enough to the ice that you start hitting, starting to hit the actual outskirts of this large pile of gold pieces.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Wait, grog, can I check for any kind of traps or is it like totally fine? Make an investigation. Because I mean, I've been here before and it's not pleasant. Investigation? 18? 18? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Glancing about best you can in the vicinity, you don't see any traps. What about the gemstones? Those are up high, those are up high, I'm staying away from those. We're outside the perimeter of the gemstones or the main portion of the layer, right? We're like further down. before you get up to top.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Yeah, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, orbs are kind of embedded in the top, kind of restful area. The, um, the actual Ford, if you will, is hidden, locked beneath the ice, the base of this large platform. So you're essentially, like punching through, uh, the portion, the bottom portion, much like any sort of sandcastle, the further you go, the less structural integrity it has. Um, but you're starting to make headway into, you know, releasing and, uh, finding accent, to some of the horde yourself. We need heat and luck more than my wee urine can generate. I can give us a little bit of fire.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Yeah, I mean, yeah, all get keylet over here. Do you have dragon spray? She points the two of them and bring him over and two the dragon board and step forward and release this torrent of flame into the area that you've already carved out. They can do that? Yeah. It only lasts a few seconds and it causes a portion of it to melt back, but it's still extremely strong ice, and it didn't have as much of an impact as you'd hoped it would have. This is very, very sturdy, white dragon conjured ice protective wall.
Starting point is 00:37:23 You've got any fireballs? Just keep on punching it, though. Just punch it. All right. I mean, I'll do that. You're doing some good damage. No fireballs. I have a fireball. I'll send a fireball over there. Back up a little bit. What if I want to be close? but you'll get burned. You're way down by 101 hip points, I know, yeah. I'm still up in the three digits.
Starting point is 00:37:41 I'm not going to burn you, garage. Just take 10 feet. I'll write 10 feet. All right, I'll send a one of fireball down. I don't know. Is that magic? Is that actually hot when it goes off? Yeah, it's hot and it's an explosion.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Fire, man. It's not just fire. It's an explosion. So it detonates from the inside of that small kind of convex path that you would punch through. What can't have it would be? And as it hits and detonates, you can see the ice further crack
Starting point is 00:38:13 around the side. Gim-tips. Gim-tips. Gim. Gim. Gim. The ice begins to crack even further in portions of it. You see a bit of snowbank
Starting point is 00:38:26 that it gathered at the top kind of shakes free. It just off the side, revealing some of the upper platform. You don't want to make too much of a No, no we don't. Just take some stuff on the outside? Is there any free, like, platinum or gold
Starting point is 00:38:39 or little bits I can start to put, like, my hands? I mean, yeah, you can start scooping up bits. You might want to ask Tuma if she's a problem with you taking all a draconia's gold. You sort of his face did, did you? Tuma, we are about to unsheath and reveal a great fortune, of which we have very little interest, because honestly it weighs us not. were like plenty loaded already. However, it is kind of like a tradition to like take little bits here and there, like as keepsakes, you know. The spoils here were largely collected from the wreckage of our captors, and much of the gold here was earned through our blood and turmoil.
Starting point is 00:39:31 However, we were able to free ourselves and have access to this fortune. And a great deal thanks to your aid. we are more than willing to divide this between your oak and ours that sounds most generous should we look for a lot specifically interesting little bit or just like grab the platinum grab whatever's closest to leave
Starting point is 00:40:00 really are there can we are there any like interesting looking weapons or unique items that are out of the ordinary make an investigation check any any looking magical thing you An investigation check. I will look for... Minus to 17.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I will look for weapons of any sort. 30! Wow! Investigation, right? Yeah. Damn. 16.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Way to go, Cumberbatch. Do you want to add your Bartic inspiration dice to that to be a dick? Help me, help me. Did you not... Did you suck? Yeah, I only got 16.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Okay. I will add my bardic inspiration dice to her. Oh, wait. You roll that. I'll sing to her. Okay. Something in the way I wink.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Inspires you like no other gnome can. Something makes you stop and think. How did you get so handsome? How did you get so swall? Oh, what did you get? Six extra points, so 22. All right there you go. I love Joe.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Josh Grubin. Josh Grosman. Yeah, he's great, he's great. Now critical role owes a royalty to the Beatles. Thank you, Sam. Oh. All right, so you can actually, you find Grog, swimming through this,
Starting point is 00:41:29 you find a painted gold war mask that looks really cool and kind of nasty with a lower jaw. You're like, oh yes, you can just put it on. Yeah, in fact, I'd lick it knowing it was cold, and I stick it to my face. Okay, your tongue sticks to the mask. Fuck! It's been encased in ice and you rip it off, all right.
Starting point is 00:41:46 You take a point of damage. Okay. And your tongue is now pounding with pain. Ooh. Oof. Has a little top layer of skin. It's been torn off your tongue. But the mask is still yours.
Starting point is 00:42:02 You do also find what appears to be a really beautiful black stone. It's like really well cut. It's about that big. And it's just like really pretty and darn. I love Stone. I'm a fucking fan. And a whole shit, I'm a golden platinum. You, looking through, you find what looks to be
Starting point is 00:42:26 a beautiful kind of reddish ruby gen that has this slightly gold refraction in the center of it that's somewhat symmetrical in it. It looks otherworldly almost. It's beautiful. You see deeper within the actual horde there appears to be a ship's mast that was played with gold that has been just jammed in the center of the horde some sort of wreckage that was dragged here
Starting point is 00:42:53 and included in the horde you do also see what appears to be kind of amongst some of the gold a small vial with some sort of liquid that is unaffected by the freezing temperatures around it what a good that thing liquid liquid is liquid is Let me look it up. This is my favorite part. I'm getting into shit. It is like a thick, syrupy metallic, like a liquid iron. Like a reddish metallic tint to it.
Starting point is 00:43:33 And you find what looks to be a pair of boots that are made from a very, very thick, dark brown high. Another boots of haste? No, they're probably like elephant-strength boots. Definitely boots of haste. Hair, oh, boots out of brown leather, you said? A dark brown leather. Not very elaborate, their design, but they're well-made, and seemingly a brave the cold weather well enough.
Starting point is 00:44:01 That's a boost of taste. I appreciate well-made boots. They're uggs. They're ugs. Thank you. Do we have an approximation of a golden pot? I'm not obviously. Give that in a second.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Sam. You. I'm sorry who? Scanlon. Thank you. Whoa. My apology. What?
Starting point is 00:44:19 What? New levels. All right. You find amongst this a platinum bracelet set with a gorgeous sapphire. That looks like it's probably worth quite a bit. You also find another unbroken vial, amongst a series of other vials that did break in the process of being hoarded here in the liquid spelt. There's one unbroken vial. This one, it's like a yellowish,
Starting point is 00:44:52 fluid with black swirls that just kind of shift on their own inside the vials contents. As you're going to shake it, you can see they kind of move at a different faster speed and then slow down in a reverse direction. It's a very interesting pattern. I love a lamp. Kind of. Underneath that vial, you see what looks to be a very beautiful there we go. Sheets of paper. I love this shit. This is the best. Which way do I go? You find the plate of a dormlider.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Oh, that was easy. There you go. You find what looks to be a golden platinum band that is it's two separate bands that are woven together like a braid in a band. Like a back braid? I didn't do. Other than that, it does, it looks nice.
Starting point is 00:45:52 There's no other defining markings on it. It looks like it's probably worth quite a bit. You do, also, as you roll ridiculously high, to pulling the ring out and the vial, you glance over it looks to be a small handle that is embedded in a large part of the gold. You go and grab it, and it's actually a pretty big handle. Once you get your gnomish hand on it,
Starting point is 00:46:14 you get to pull, and you pull forth a very beautiful-looking platinum, great sword. It has a series of small symbols carved along the base of the blade on each side. The handle comes to a gradual upward curve, and
Starting point is 00:46:34 it looks beautiful, ornamental, like something you'd see in some sort of a temple as part of a centerpiece. But it's weighted properly for a great sword, and is far too big for you to ever possibly muster in battle. I can't use this, so I'll just leave it.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Wait, wait, let's not be hasty. My God, it's beautiful. I mean, I'm very emotional about this right now. Can't check it for traps. Check it for traps. Make an investigation, try. Natural 20. Oh shit, he's a natural 20.
Starting point is 00:47:10 How my God. You have never been so sure in your life at this sword, totally not trapped. I'm so hoping it talks to you now. I'm so hoping it starts talking to you now. It's clean? It's clean? Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:25 All right. You hold it. I can't hold that. It's too heavy. It weighs as much as I do. How it feel, God? It feels like money, money, money. Speaking of money, money, money.
Starting point is 00:47:42 As you begin pulling out these materials, a series of the other Ravanite start gathering gold and like taking filling sacks and having to like pass them off. And as though you see now two of them are pulling two big carts over and they're starting to load up. to load up cash as well in the area. Like this is gonna really kind of push your bag of holding. Yeah, that's why I said we can't take that much. We can drop some shit out of a bag. But if it's flat, it'll help. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:09 What can we lose from the bag of holding? Well, hold on, hold on. You get about 20 minutes of gathering gold and platinum pieces from just the section that you have access to. You could get more if you continue to dig beneath problems. but you managed to pull roughly between the three of you 18,000 gold pieces and about 12,000 platinum pieces. What?
Starting point is 00:48:37 Make it hail. Forget the dragons, let's just go back. That's like a third of what's in the hoard right now. Hard place, motherfucker. Yeah, let's build a fucking water park. We don't need any movement. We're fine. We're fine.
Starting point is 00:48:53 This is really nice. Let's build a condominable. many of them. Condos and Marquette. Parking lots, man. Parking garage. How many gold is a platinum? No, for the gold of platinum transition here.
Starting point is 00:49:06 A lot. Where's the mental effort? Well, with with Regs it, it's not worth as much. With Brexit, it's not worth as much. 10 gold pieces per platinum. How many? 10 gold pieces per platinum. So that's another 120 grand.
Starting point is 00:49:21 $120,000. 12,000. Grog, Vex. We don't need to tell the others about. They don't need to know. We could just go to a warm place the three of us and just live out the rest of our days. We'll build a bank like it will just be us.
Starting point is 00:49:34 They'll never find us. We have the dust of tracelessness. This is amazing. We kill Vex after like the first one. Wait, I can hear you. I would joke it. We might need her to restart civilization. Oh, you know what?
Starting point is 00:49:45 Let's go back. You lost me. I'm out. Okay. Meanwhile for the last. I can't. For the last 20 minutes, I've been combing blood out of Pike's hair, and we've just been having God talk. You know, talking about God talk.
Starting point is 00:50:05 And as I put little fun buns in Pike's hair, I say, you know, sometimes I feel like she is right there with me. I ask questions, and I know the answers, but most of the time, I don't know anything. Does it ever, like, does the balance ever shift? No. Not really. Part of what's great about it is you just put your trust into them and everything turns out okay That's so cool
Starting point is 00:50:34 I mean you saw her she punched a dragon for me We've got to find Larkin though what do we do about Larkin? Okay, all right You're not here I'm not there I didn't like Larkin very much It's probably for the best I buddy's out here on his own in the cold
Starting point is 00:50:56 Dwarfamites everywhere Dwarves are made of hardy stuff. I'm sure he'll be okay. Are you right now? Let me just even you all. Oh, oh. Thank you. What did we find? Ten dragon scales.
Starting point is 00:51:15 All right, come back to you guys. So as as, as Voragal is butchered in the center of the snow here, and strangely, as you begin to carve, the air as freezing as it is, actual touch on the skin of Orgel is colder. And there's a few moments where you actually, your fingers kind of begin to adhere to the colder, because you have to pull back a bit. But you do manage to carve from the hide.
Starting point is 00:51:44 If you can carry it properly, about 150 pounds of dragon hide. Oh, geez. Oh, those ancient dragons. Oh, boy. They got very heavy. How much? Yeah. 150 pounds of that true coat, you know, that true coat. We got 40 pounds of black dragon hide in the bag of clothing. We're going to have 150 tromes.
Starting point is 00:52:04 We're going to have to fill the white stone coffers with some of the stuff. When we get back, we're going to have a lot of. There's a suit of black studded dwarf armor. Frog is dumping stuff out of our bag. So one black studded dwarven armor, too, because the likes only one that wears full armor. There's another full set of just regular plate armor that's going to. Gone. Could we make a totally decomposed porkhead, a brain joke.
Starting point is 00:52:28 Oh, I forgot about that. Two dark elf heads, one random arm, a piece of bullet armor. That shit has been festering for once. Yeah, man. 12 beef jerky strips are going. I was saving that. I was saving that. As you're doing this, Tuma's watching, you're just going.
Starting point is 00:52:48 By the way, this is totally up for grabs any time you want. You just say something to me and it will work out. Is he about touch? In walks over. Another dragon more walks over and just picks up the beef jerky strips. Hands in the two men, too much just keeps watching you while chewing on one. They're starving. Rob, yeah, those are like super fresh.
Starting point is 00:53:13 The war is out a great sword and replacing the platinum great sword within this box. So that should make enough to wait out. The war is over and that was the first. The war is over and Both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins.
Starting point is 00:53:49 This is old-school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time, and when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules light. nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make. This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s. And man, it is so good to be back. Starting point is 00:54:29 Look, there are a lot of celebrity interview podcasts out there, but there's only one Happy, Sad, Confused. I'm Josh Horowitz, and yeah, I'm the host of the show, so I'm a little biased, but truly Happy, Happy, Sad, Confused is the place for nerdy and intimate conversations with all your favorite actors and filmmakers. From Andrew Garfield and Scarlett Johansson to Christopher Nolan, casting what ifs, backstage stories, and much more. Listen to Happy Sad Confused on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:55:06 bag of holding. Half of that body part stuff just came out as like Gillette and his poo. Yeah, it's the gamiest of gamey meat you ever touch. Just like strings. Oh yeah, yeah. You're like pull it up and you gotta like wrap it up in the string and then toss it. It is why I love the word slaw. Oh. Oh. So, you guys pulling away portion of that, Kemi helping out where she can. herself, you know, the sweat beads in her forehead, even amongst the coal exterior.
Starting point is 00:55:45 She's a workhorse. You guys also managed to pry from Boragal's mouth. 20 pieces, or 20 individual dragon teeth that are harvestable outside of the ones that the other Avanites take for themselves. You managed to get six white dragon claws, like Italians, you know, pull it from the whole body. and about, let's see, about the destruction of the outside, and there's like kind of this, like, creeping ice that's beginning to kind of freeze the body
Starting point is 00:56:17 from the inside, post-death. The hide includes the scales, like you kind of have to, you know, block the scales and destroy the hide. And any other organs, the eyes you're thinking about taking? Blood, blood, eyes. Are you writing all the sound?
Starting point is 00:56:35 Because I didn't. Do you have any more empty vials? Huh? Empty vials. Do you have any more vials? I'm out of vials. Never mind. Did you take any healing potions?
Starting point is 00:56:45 Oh, um... No, I didn't. In theory, then I have like three empty vials because I did have three healing potions that I've used. We'll say you go ahead and re-quark three vials of white drying. Thank you. Anything else? No. All right?
Starting point is 00:57:02 I'm going to go sit down for a little while and breathe. Yeah, I'm going to go into the mansion as well. Okay. So you guys go ahead and join Max and Pike. Kima comes and joins you guys as well to rest for a moment, while the rest of the Ravanites just begin tearing off pieces of Orgal's body, leaving kind of the rib cage, the spine. They pulled most of the organs out of it,
Starting point is 00:57:21 but the tree itself is rooted into the rib cage, and the roots can reach down and burrow into the ground beneath it. It's left this really interesting sculpture that they've kind of torn everything away from. Okay, you guys, at this point now, the Ravanites have descended upon the interior of the horde and they're kind of hacking away bits of ice to open up more of the space beneath while keeping a very, very careful eye to make sure the structure remains intact. You guys have gathered
Starting point is 00:57:49 what you decided to take from the horde and are doing what? Like, Scalil, thanks. We should, like, disable the wharves, right? I don't know how to. Hey, you're just beating the shitter. I mean, how are you going to... Wouldn't that alert Thorak? Yeah, we shouldn't... We don't want to taunt him first. I mean, like, like, I mean like to go up there. I'd rather him not know right now that Voragal's dead just because...
Starting point is 00:58:15 You would instantly know that we're not in our home base, he would launch an attack on that place. Yeah. Maybe that's just not... not do that just yet. But what if he comes here? Well, if he does, then... Paul Ravanites. Hopefully they'll be inside their case.
Starting point is 00:58:35 I don't think he's gonna leave him on to come check him. out what's going on with Borogol unless he knows that Borogol's there. Should we take in with you like members first before we just like bring it about? Well let's go back to the mansion. Maybe we can destroy it on the way out if we feel necessary. All right. Hey, what about that big golden mast? You think there's like a golden shipper. What if there's a sky ship in here? Well, I'd assume it wouldn't fly very well anymore, right? Maybe that's how the Ravenites can get trai them on. It's made of gold, right? It's like gold. Gold plating around it like they, you can see.
Starting point is 00:59:13 either, it was like the wooden mast, but have these large bands. Did it look like airship or did it look like normal ships? I mean, look, if there's more under there. It has to be an airship. It was hard to tell. From what you could tell, it is a mast. The airships you've seen do not have masts, since they do not use the wind.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Oh, right. Everybody knows. So it was most likely a seafaring ship and was most likely torn asunder from a great distance and then dragged here as part of the horde by the ore. And what are we going to do with the masts? I have no idea. Like treasure always.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Maybe on the way out we can like see if it's uncovered anymore. Let's take a Google Maps pin here. We'll always know it's here because when we come visit Tiberius's grave, we'll just also leave some flowers and take a mask with us. Is it possible? I mean, they've been working on this for a while. Is it possible to wiggle my way in and check out the mask now? Or is it like?
Starting point is 01:00:09 Sure, make an investigation check. 22. You push past some of the Robert. night workers, they kind of, you know, the shoulders don't give and you have to squeeze through. And as you get there, a little bit of the masses available. The upper part of it is still locked in ice and the lower part is locked in ice. For how much they've carved through already, it's just a central portion of it. What you can see, it is, it is a wooden mast with these large, thick bands of gold around it that are ornamental.
Starting point is 01:00:40 You can see within them carvings, designs, a language you don't really understand. Actually, what languages do you know? Elvis, common, undercommon, abysmal, and traconic. Okay, you do not recognize this language. But it appears to be ornamental. It appears to be that whatever ship this belonged to was a prized ship of either a Navy or a merchant fleet. And based on some of the marks on it, it looks like it was actually grabbed and broken off of the ship. And looking down below, there is a portion of a ship that is beneath it as well, much deeper.
Starting point is 01:01:20 like maybe another 25 feet of solid ice below you with the rest of this hoard. That's not a boat. There's a portion of the ship that was dragged here by a board of off. Crazy. It's a ship, I'm coming back out. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Let's go back to the main group and tell them what we've discovered. Yeah, we go back. You guys hustle your way up. As you're hustling your way up the ravine to the east, you passed by a number of Ravanites coming by with large sacks and chunks of dragon meat just kind of draped over them.
Starting point is 01:01:50 And you can see it's interesting because the meat itself is freezing the air and the shoulders of those that are carrying it. Like the essence of the dragon's ice built form is causing them to constantly shift it because it's starting to stick to their armor and see icicles made to form at the outside of these large dragon meat haunches that they're carrying with. When you dry-aged meat like that, salt it first
Starting point is 01:02:14 and hang it, just to float it. Tast, mate. Keeps walking. doesn't seem to understand you. Yes, really bad sinus problems. Eventually, you guys make your way back to the Scanlon's Magnificent Mansion, together with the rest of the party, Percy, Akima, Kieleth, and Vaks all there resting
Starting point is 01:02:36 and equally awaiting your return. I've got to try and fix my guns. Got it. Make some take-go-chinks. Is this a misfire check or a tinkering check since I'm not in combat? Is your tinkering checks? Okay, so it's a proficiency bonus. decks role okay uh 28 okay that that's your animus yep that's fine all right uh I
Starting point is 01:03:05 bad news was also yep uh 26 26 is fine you managed to get bad news functioning again both are working in the workshop below oh and retort was okay right yeah all right so you all right so you all right return and gather around uh Hewith has laid out the Vorogal spoils like she just got back from a yard sale. Which, by the way, it's kind of a macab view as you walk in. It was just like this smear of dark purple dragon blood and these long, kind of haphazardly carved chunks of dragon hide, almost like the preset green lawn, you know, long rectangles that kind of roll out. Just kind of smeared across the center of the foyer.
Starting point is 01:03:52 I dropped the bag of colding next to Kilith. Just so you can, Grog, can you help me, like, see how much we can shove in here? Yeah. Kind of, here, I'll maybe like a sleeping bag, and I'll kind of sit on this. Oh yeah, yeah, and you like, sit it out. You know?
Starting point is 01:04:07 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Good deal. Okay, we'll do that. So, we'll try and shove as much as it. When it's finally wound up, it won't fit with the back of cold. The back of colding is the size of, like, a relatively large satchel.
Starting point is 01:04:20 The dragon hide rolled up is about that big around what you managed to carve out of it. What do we do? Oh, man, Krog. Can we make Percy like some Dragonborn armor right now somehow so he can be all white, all over? Wow, that would be, that would be a thing, wouldn't it? Would.
Starting point is 01:04:37 How much do you think that roll weighs, ish? I'll do have about 150 pounds. Oh, geez. Scanlon, do you have a place? We can't carry that. Yeah, we can. I mean, I could drag it behind me for a little bit. Do you have a room here?
Starting point is 01:04:49 A room? Who? We just go through a tree. We have to drag it through a tree. You have everything here, do you? We have a chilly room. Sure, sure, sure. In the kitchen there's a chilly room.
Starting point is 01:04:59 The mansion will expire in like 12 hours though. That's true. Well, we just gotta go through the tree, yeah. That's it. That's it. We can bring it into the kitchen for now. Can we get everything else into the bag of holding besides the roll of hide?
Starting point is 01:05:11 The teeth thing. Well, the teeth and those things can be put into the bag of holding. The only thing needs to be preserved is the hide until it's treatment. And it's blood. What about the blood? I'll just drag it.
Starting point is 01:05:20 The blood's been capped. That should probably be put in there just for the three vials of dragon blood and the mold. So mark, yeah, mark three vials of white dragon blood in your bag of Colting. And we have six talons. Yeah. Well, the talons themselves are just large claws that have been removed from that.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Okay, so we have six talons, 20 teeth, and 150 pounds of hide. There you go. Yeah. Word. We got so much bling over it. So much. We're like, stupid rich. A lot of things that we don't know what they are.
Starting point is 01:05:52 What's that mask? Excellent. What is that? What is that? And I take the mask and like Jim Carrey in the mask, I like, stick it to my father! Do you feel anything? What's it doing? What's it doing?
Starting point is 01:06:03 I need you to... No, I'm kidding. Oh! It is chilly against your skin. I feel like it's making me fall in love with the first person I love my eyes. Oh. You don't want to fuck with this. Are you sure?
Starting point is 01:06:20 No, you're right. I don't. Maybe just a little bit. I'll put it in the back of the thing. Okay. But we got this and I'll hold up the big ass platinum great tools. Can anyone identify things in our group at all? Do I recognize the text on it, perhaps?
Starting point is 01:06:46 It's got scribbled. Symbols. Celestial? I did bring, detect magic. Celestial, yes, you do. You can read. He can read. He can read.
Starting point is 01:06:56 He can read. He was a lonely child. It's like Latin in the world of the Indy. It is. It is the Latin of the Indy. It's like covered with prunes up and down the blade. Chris? What's it say?
Starting point is 01:07:07 You're calling him a prism? Yeah. Looking across the symbols, they are specifically symbols of they speak of creation. They speak of devotion. They speak of the power of a deity's love. They speak of the unity between God and creation. It is a very very very, very, very religious and holy text across the blade both sides.
Starting point is 01:07:31 Some sort of paladin sword. It's some holy weapon of some kind. Oh, I bet Kimmer would want to put out of. Oh, yes. Kimmer here? She's actually like right now in the process in the kitchen of massaging some of the bruising and wounds she took from the battle. Got some meat tenderizer on there?
Starting point is 01:07:51 Couple of chickens on it. Tagabon. Stop what you're doing. Hang on you to get your hands on this big, beautiful bastard, and I'll hand at a great sword. Oh, yeah. And drop some off the heck did you get this? Yeah, I could tell you, but then I don't remember.
Starting point is 01:08:15 A little bit of time, I need to go ahead and see if I can make this part of my communion. Hold on a second, and she kind of walks away just staring at the blade and kind of without leaving her eyes, her eyes from the text of the scrolling on the side, just walks quietly past all of you, in the center of the foyer, it sits down with it and just starts kind of meditating over the blade. I just want to go ahead. I'll leave.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Anything else interesting? I found a jewel. It's red. It looks pretty neat. How were the Dragon Ballon about us taking some of their? They were great about it, actually. They were quite generous. Anything else we should go back for as well?
Starting point is 01:09:04 No, there was a lot, possibly a giant, gold ship underneath. There was a what? A what? It was like a ship. Gold mast underneath the horde and then also much, much more gold and platinum that we can't possibly have. Gold ship. Wait, it had runes on it as well. Did they look similar to the ruins that Ron Gregg's,
Starting point is 01:09:25 Greg's, Grog's sword? No. The symbols that are on the side of the weapon look like they're an ancient text that is, they're laid in a very ceremonial format. The text that you saw on the side of the mast looked to be more like an engraving. Did it look fluid or did it look like that? It was fluid.
Starting point is 01:09:46 There's a ship in the dragon's collection. Yes. I don't know if it was an entire ship. No-go-piece of it. So you didn't go in and saw it. Well, I got down but most of it was still frozen. Okay, I think this would be a really good idea before we left then.
Starting point is 01:10:03 That's tempting. If a dragon grabbed a ship, it was probably filled with something interesting. You're not wrong. We got his attention and he kept it. Oh. Well, I mean it could take days to potentially melt the ice, right? The ice is already melting. And then you, you could probably melt your way in there and 24 hours.
Starting point is 01:10:23 As long as it's still structural. And I also have this. Do toy. Yeah. We should check that out before we got. Are we any danger of staying here leaving our special Heidi place unprotected. Your home.
Starting point is 01:10:40 It's not like anyone can get in here. No, no, I'm talking about your homeland. Oh, it's... It's as guarded as it's going to be right now. Well, we know that Rishan's out there doing something. She was doing something previously. This really, I don't think that anything awful is going to happen. I also took this little keepsake. I call it stone black.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Because it's a black stone? Well, don't fucking break it down like. Oh, it's so neat. Simple and to the point. Does it look fancy? Does it look magical? Is it magic? Why don't you detect magic, whoever can detect magic?
Starting point is 01:11:15 Can I, I? Can I? Can you? I can just look at it and see if I'll have the little same. Can I? Can I? Can I make an archaunch?
Starting point is 01:11:24 Man. It ran out of the 20s. It is not magical. However, your keen bardic eye, looking at the gem, it is a very rare gem. It is worth worth quite a bit. Like,
Starting point is 01:11:40 Platinum Zirconia. It's actually a black sapphire. It's an extremely rare gem. What the fuck is that? It runs in the market anywhere between four to six thousand gold. So anyway, I got rid of my old salt-lit rock and now I've got stone black here to take its place.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Where do you do that? You don't have a fair rock? No. Oh my god, I sleep with it. I like put it on my back and gets all the knots out. That is the cutest. You've never done this? You paint a face on it or anything.
Starting point is 01:12:08 I've actually had a lot of rocks that are friends. Oh, that's great. You can make little clothes for it. Yeah, I didn't have a lot of friends growing up. Sometimes I'll carry it in my armpit, just keep it warm. You don't need to know about that. They're maternal. Oh, and these boots.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Leather boots, leather boots. Could be anything. Are they magic? Scanlon. Oh, sure, I'll look at those. Put it on your feet. Yeah. See what happens. Wow.
Starting point is 01:12:33 24. 24. Archana check, yeah? Yeah, yeah. There are very, very simple leather boots. There's no real ornamentation to it beyond just being functional boots. And as you take them and look at them, there is a very, very faint shimmer to the actual leather itself. Almost like when the light hits it, the brown kind of gives away to a slight purplish undertone and current.
Starting point is 01:12:54 It looks to have some sort of enchantment. Does it seem evil or good? I have no idea however they look fancy. They are interesting, and I'm indifferent to such things. such things, so. I want to put one on. Go ahead, put one on, what can happen? I want to put it on and just see what it does.
Starting point is 01:13:13 I just want to see what it does. Wait, what if it's single use? What if it's single use only? Well, now's a good time. Oh no. It's a boot. It's probably made for multiple use. You guys can take a short rest and essentially take time
Starting point is 01:13:27 with the item too. Oh, fuck, sweet, let's do that. If you want to. I attuned to must. Okay, so you tune to your staff. Do you attuned to your staff? What are you unintuning from? Currently my ring of protection.
Starting point is 01:13:40 Oh, that's painful. Yeah, dude. AC down. All right, so all your saves are down by two. For now. For now. For now. Good to know.
Starting point is 01:13:50 By the way, we have two unused ring of protections that we can trade for things, because I have one that I haven't used in . It's so good. It's the thing you trade. Obviously, if you know what that reference was. All right, so, yeah, what do you guys want to do? Do you want to take a short rest to try and figure things out?
Starting point is 01:14:10 Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so Kim is focusing on the sword. You're focusing on the boots. Sure. I'm focusing on the wool mask. Okay, and who else is doing? Is there other things?
Starting point is 01:14:21 Is there a beautiful gem? No, no, that's my. No, my red gem. It looks special. It looks like a special gem. Does this actually look like the special jam? Which is this? The red, the red, beautiful gem you told me about.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Oh, the ruby. It looks very pretty. I've got a vial with yellow and black, swirly stuff in it. That requires somebody who knows things. I'll look at that. You want to look at the booths with me? Can I do a check on the potion since I've got alchemy training?
Starting point is 01:14:49 You know what, yeah, if you wanted to take a look for, there's some bracelets and such. I thought I'd take a look at, I have a golden platinum band with braids. I don't know, I'll take a look at the back blades. The back blades. The back blades. The back blades.
Starting point is 01:15:04 So, Keyleth is taking a look at the potion or potions? Potions. What about the bracelet? You also had a bracelet. I just gave it to Bracquets over here. No, you had a ring and you had a bracelet. I have a platinum bracelet which I assumed was just fancy and pretty. It has a sapphire and it either, no.
Starting point is 01:15:22 Look at that one too. All right, all right. I think I can only really handle one of these, but we'll find out what happens. All right. All right, so as you guys make a short rest, Keelith, you know, You identify both potions, one of which is a potion of speed. Yay, what I thought it was, the yellow one. Yeah, boom.
Starting point is 01:15:45 The other is a potion of invulnerability. Yo, what? Oh shit. What is it do? What is it do? If that's mean that's why I was heirs. Read it, read it out loud with your mouth. For one minute, for one minute after you drink this potion,
Starting point is 01:16:04 you have resistance to a lot. all damage. God mode. The potion, Cerephi liquid, looks like liquefied iron. So you're like power it up, get in. Half damage for a minute. To every. Whoa! That is so insane. What about sexual? Insane. And then potion of speed when you drink this potion, you gain the effects of haste spell for one minute. The potion is a second name. I'm putting that in the party inventory. Yeah. Oklahoma. No, no, no. Hand it. She's ten rounds of a battle, basically. Oh, that one should
Starting point is 01:16:30 go and party. Yeah. Which one? The potion of speed? No, the... A potion of invulnerability so we can decide later. That's for a very special day. I guess I'll need that. Brog could take the speed. Yeah, do you want to take the speed potion girl? Yeah, sure. I always need to be fast, right?
Starting point is 01:16:43 When is that speed? Give the invulnerability to Laura. Oh, thank you. Thanks. All right, the boots. Oh, to you, Vex. Boots, where did he? So many things.
Starting point is 01:16:56 It's a Bowie. Is it a boot space? Bowie and spice. Oh, oh my God, this is so crazy. Okay. because I was about to learn a spell for somebody. But these take care of that. These are boots of feral leaping.
Starting point is 01:17:14 When you wear these boots, you can instill your leaps with incredible bursts of power. As a bonus action, you can attempt to leap. Make a strength check with DC of 16. If you were successful, you leave either 15 feet vertically or 20 feet horizontally. There you go. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:17:29 You have to attune to them? It doesn't say. He doesn't say you tuned. Yeah, those aren't too many. Yay! There you go, Grog. You need those. The price is great.
Starting point is 01:17:41 I don't want to be just my criticism. That's amazing. Anyone need the potion of speed? If you failed the check though, you fall prone where you stand. I gave it to Groh. Oh, that's important. Oh, banana. I didn't read that little bottom part.
Starting point is 01:17:56 You'll probably be okay. Most of the time, but once in a while, hilarious. Once in a while, you just banana peel. I have a question. Yes. The spell that I was going to take, because I still have one spell that I haven't learned yet, is jump. Right. Which triples your jump for one minute.
Starting point is 01:18:14 So if I did that, would that triple that as well? Oh, snap. Or would it just be grog's normal? Probably doesn't stack. Yeah, that magic would kind of override the spell. Okay. Just based on the enchantment is two different magical forces affecting the same thing. Makes sense.
Starting point is 01:18:30 The jump spell is part of the enchantment that that boot was crafted. So that's perfect. There you go. The platinum band is not magical. Yay! I'll hang on with it. But it is worth quite a bit actually. The platinum band is worth, let's see,
Starting point is 01:18:47 about 2,500 gold. That's kind of a magic all its own. And the ring, where the ring? I have a platinum bracelet. The platinum bracelet was what he looked at right now. That's worth 2,500. And then the ring of the two that were. Gold platinum band.
Starting point is 01:19:03 Oh, that was a ring. The band was a ring. Yeah. A band ring. Got it. And what though? Did the ring? Yes, I do. Oh.
Starting point is 01:19:12 Look at the thing. I'm stuck here. Oh, God. Oh, jeez. Oh, yeah, there it goes. There it goes. It just says 1,500 gold on it. The cube shrinks to half its size.
Starting point is 01:19:23 Centimeter. Oh, God. It's a ring of invisibility. Oh. We're wearing this ring, you can turn invisible as an action. Anything you're wearing or carrying is invisible with you. You remain invisible until the ring is removed.
Starting point is 01:19:37 Until you attack or cast a spell or until you get backplayed. I don't need to say a tunement over. Requires a tune. Wait, is that true? It does require to do me. That's okay. It's a legendary item. Essentially, meaning it's extremely rare.
Starting point is 01:19:55 It's the cloak of invisibility. You know, you use a spell, and once you do something, the spell's gone? That while you're wearing it? you can just turn back invisible for another action as many times as you want or as long as you wear it so situationally it can be very useful yeah yeah if you're trying to do a filtration you can pop out cast a spell or something and use an action to pop back into this but not a bonus action no so it's less of a combat benefit necessarily in some situations maybe
Starting point is 01:20:25 for speed to the reconcil like that it's pretty like going like going to a white dragon layer exactly Who wants to be friends? And Emma is happy. Oh, what I'm happy? Emma's happy? You got that thing? What did you get?
Starting point is 01:20:40 What did you get? You just give away something amazing? Hold on, as she stands up, she takes the blade and kind of swings it. It hits the ground. When she hits it, you can see a spark of divine energy from the impact. She looks at her, at her mall, and goes,
Starting point is 01:20:58 sorry, old friend, you'll find a good new home. Let's see, this Holy Avenger is gonna do it. What's a Holy Avenger? What's it too? To give you specifics to, it requires attumment by a paladin. Oh, so it has to be. Okay.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Only really Vax or Her could attuned to it. Great tool. It's a plus three bonus to attack and damage rolls. Plus three? Yeah. Wow. Hitting a fiend or undead, the creature takes an additional 2D10
Starting point is 01:21:27 radiant damage on every hit. While you hold the drawn sword, it creates an aura and a 10th radius around you, you and all creatures friendly to you and the aura have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Okay. Oh, man. Thank you for everything, Keeva. Provisional, yeah. On travel, that's amazing. So, look, the mole, right? Where's the ring? Who has the other?
Starting point is 01:21:51 Tema, just because I want to respect your weapon, what does the mall do? Oh, you want the mall? Well, I'm just saying like what it does. Or does it just like beat the shit out people beautifully by and say? The mall, it's my Holy Thunder Mall. It feels an additional thunder damage when I hit something. It's about it. Cool. You may hold on to it, boy. You're cool.
Starting point is 01:22:24 Tbil boss moment. You can do about 100%. That's true. Enjoy that. Oh, Elijah. I run downstairs to the training area with my staff. Okay. Anything from the wool mask? No, but it is worth 750 gold.
Starting point is 01:22:52 I'll unlock it secrets soon. Wearing down. Well, if we're ever invited to a masquerade, how do you say it? No, but continue, please. Mascarade. Yes. Svada.
Starting point is 01:23:08 Svada. Farade. Is it beautiful cold? Yeah, it kind of resembles almost like the Maori warrior mask with a big open mouth, like the tongue sticking out and like two prong teeth underneath. It's like, it's a war mask. It's meant to inspire fear and, you know,
Starting point is 01:23:28 really kind of give you an ominous presence in the battlefield. Platinum? That's gold. You gotta wear that on the back of your head. Dole, it's very old. Does it go with his hat? Do you want to come and flashed it.
Starting point is 01:23:37 I mean, if you were to attach it some way, would look very interesting. Would you like me to attach the mask to your fine hat? Your rhino helmet? Oh, to the back of it. Yeah. So he's a face in the back. They don't know if he's going or coming.
Starting point is 01:23:50 All right, bring it, bring it downstairs, John. I think I can, there's a work on this. I think I can help you by heating metal, I can. Yeah, let's go, let's just do this. All right. Can you also put my title on the inside of the. Wait, I'm gonna go play with my staff and then I do know. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Let's keep it. I'm just, I'm gonna go test this out. and then I'll meet you. All right, that's fine. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Are you going downstairs?
Starting point is 01:24:14 Yeah, I want to see what this, yeah, can I come with you? Yeah, I'm all going downstairs. Let's give you. It's a free mansion, man. Do you want to have a drink? With me? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 01:24:23 Yeah. So while you guys go downstairs, you two are going to the dining area? A lounge. Is there a lounge in the mansion? Is there a bar? There's mostly lounges. The champagne room.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Is there like an errated wine? Wine cellar is. It's constantly erasing. No one has to slide. Side joke. I'm being teased right now for owning and using a wine aerator. Yes you are.
Starting point is 01:25:03 Somebody sold you that and said it was an aerator and is laughing their happy-ass over the way of it. I appreciate fine things. And I'm not going to apologize for that. One guy broke that off of his kids' toys and was like, It's a narrator. So yes, that's what we're going to go. So you guys find your way to the wine room.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Scanlon, what are you doing? A whole lot of nothing. I'll go down and watch the show, I guess. I'll watch the training show. All right, so you four head down to the training room. Keeman comes down to watch as well. Pike comes down, eager to watch what this new artifact does. You head down to the training area.
Starting point is 01:25:40 You have the big sand pit that's kind of cornered off with the wooden outskirts, you have the various dummies set up in certain ways. You have the portion of the room that has the armor stand on the side, the weapon stand. What do you want to do? Okay, all right. All right, everyone, have I want to stay back?
Starting point is 01:26:02 I'm gonna just start by casting the lowest level of spell out of it, see what it does. Which is? Apparently a fireball. Okay, at where? Whatever is further in the sand pit, I told everyone to stand back. Everyone stays back. Further part of the sand pit is going to be one of the four various combat deputies.
Starting point is 01:26:25 Yeah, sure. So you launch, you pull the staff down, you guys watch in the centerpiece at the top where that one gem is kind of hovering and slowly rotating in place, the gem begins to glow bright red from its kind of somewhat soft, bluish-green composure. As it hits bright red, this beam of familiar red archa-energy, streaks forward, hits it and detonates into a shaking explosion, destroying the wooden dummy and singeing the one immediately left to it.
Starting point is 01:26:51 Oh. Cool. See that, Krog? Yeah, really nice. Was that the biggest thing it does? There's three charges off. Three charges off? How many charges are there?
Starting point is 01:27:06 20 and they recharge. Oh my gosh. At the top of a day. They recharge 1d6 plus 4. Oh. How many recharge a day? 1d4 plus 1d6 plus 4. So that's a bunch. 5 to 10, 5 to 11.
Starting point is 01:27:21 Okay. Because I've been really excited about this one. I'm gonna point at the other dummy, and I'm gonna cast chain lightning. Okay. As you do, you watch as this giant bolt of electrical energy arcs off the same place in the staff, hits the dummy, and the dummy immediately bursts into
Starting point is 01:27:41 flames from the energy that hitting the wood and then arcs off and hits the two others and suddenly the dummies are partially blown apart on one side the charred section now Slowly smoldering as smoke pours up and you see bits of the electric energy can To the remainder grog The wood dummy. Holy shit Did you see that? That was amazing I kind of want to get out there for like whatever you do next Really? Just to like see how much damage a judge Wait can you use this in like minxie form too?
Starting point is 01:28:14 Do you think so or you don't? I can try this though. And then... That's six charges, though. There's five charges? Five charges. No, sorry, you're right, six charges. Charges for Chimperning through all the charges, but I don't care!
Starting point is 01:28:26 Do you have another one you want to do? Watch this, Grog. Watch this, watch this. I'm going to do Conjure Elemental. Okay, and what elemental are you going to conjure? What element? Earth, big. Earth.
Starting point is 01:28:38 Earth. Okay. You watch as a... She slams the staff in the ground, and you feel this kind of quaking, and the sand pit behind her, it begins to slowly billow and rise up. As the sand falls away from underneath, you see standing behind and looming over Ekelet, this giant, cracked stone earth elemental, very much of the form that she often takes, just kind of standing behind her.
Starting point is 01:29:06 Its eyes flash up with a bright green glow, and it just sits there awaiting her command. You got a posse. And then I do a bonus action. And I also turn into an earth elemental. Sorry, because you got your forms back at the short rest. Yes, it is. So now, she turns into the same form. There's now two elementals there.
Starting point is 01:29:22 And then we walk by and we top gun each other. Each slam itself causes the air around to like a small thunder, wait in its own right. And then we both turn, and then I punch grog in the face. Go ahead and roll an attack. Natural one. Oh, no, wait, I said, I saw us, follow it. That was for me. That was for me.
Starting point is 01:29:53 And for the other elemental, what's your bonus? What you mean it? What's your attack bonus? What's your attack bonus? Because the other elemental is gonna punch him at the same time too. He gets a plus eight. Plus eight, that is a 16, that is not. So here's what happens. In slow motion, Grog stands over the big grin on his face,
Starting point is 01:30:09 and both fists just go, just glide off. No impact. And you're just still kind of dumbfounded and enjoying the moment. Really? Well, I ordered them on purpose. Can I understand what she says? No, you hear a one-level control. Wow, she can become far-sighted earth elemental.

Starting point is 01:32:15 on the podcast app you're listening to right now. Okay, I dropped my form to hear what Grog has to say. That sucked. That sucked. I was the worst one of all of them. Really? Yeah. Did it hurt you when we punched you?
Starting point is 01:32:35 No. I mean, wait, is the beard all right? The beard is fine. Yeah, okay, no, it's so good. Does it do anything else than like whiff? Well, and I tell the elemental to, um, um. No, it does nothing.
Starting point is 01:32:57 Attack rock again. Yeah, I'll even, let me turn around, I'll turn around. You turn around, okay. There was an 18. It doesn't miss, what it does is it hits you, and you're just like, you barely felt it. What was that, how was that? Oh man, yeah, like really stout.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Really? Yeah. I'm questioning my like faith now. Man, the staff is so powerful. Yeah, sure is. Jesus, wow. Does it, anything, I mean, not that I want to feel any more damage after that, hurricane, a pain, but does it do anything else? I can keep turning the fucking charges.
Starting point is 01:33:43 Does it protect you at all from the charge? By the way, you've now burned 14 charges. Give me one really big one. I hope we're not finding anything so I can just recharge these. Only if you use the next charges. Yeah, it was fine. Does this thing protect you at all? He just raised his eyebrows.
Starting point is 01:34:00 Yeah, no, that's a, it's a damage dealer. Purely damage. Boys are a damage. Boys do any more. Come on one more. Don't waste any more, Marisha. Don't do it. You're not there.
Starting point is 01:34:10 No, I might. I'm here. That's what I said, Marisha. How, wait, I'm gonna wait. I'm gonna see, I'm gonna see. I'm gonna save some, I'm gonna save some action. Hang on, real fast, so real fast, just in case. And I whack them with the staff.
Starting point is 01:34:26 Okay, like Rafiki? Just mainly, he can have. Snaps into. All right, go ahead and roll a D20, add your strength modifier, and your proficiency modifier. my strength and my perspresent of the zivadigas, um, see, 18.
Starting point is 01:34:43 No, wait, 19. 19. 19, what's your AC grog? 20. Oh, whack. Ow! Ow! Oh, the pain of, what's the thing called?
Starting point is 01:35:00 Confliers! I heard so much. Yeah, wow, really? Yeah, the reflux, the carth and flux. Oh, it gave you acid reflux? Yeah, yeah, it's real bad. I have to leave because I feel like I might toss. That's good to know.
Starting point is 01:35:17 Yep. Maybe it induces sickness? Yeah, I feel like I'm gonna cry too. Good to know, good to know. All right, thank you. And I leave holding my forehead and laughing smaller. Okay, I'm good for now. All right, and first, you're going to the workshop,
Starting point is 01:35:30 you said? Yeah, I'm grabbing the helmets and I'm gonna, here I'm gonna borrow you. And now I go. Okay, so you guys go and do that. In the meantime, both of you find your way to Scanlon's wine room. I don't know what any of these are.
Starting point is 01:35:49 Take the one that looks the fanciest. 54. You are better than that than I am. I go to the corner, the highest shelf. I don't fucking know. These are probably all like fake wine anyway. I fly up and grab the one on the highest shelf. Okay, you grab it, you look at the label.
Starting point is 01:36:08 It's a pinot noir, and the title of the brand says, Le white meat. Oh no, it's chicken wine. Is it really? Whatever, let's drink it anyway, it's disgusting. Chicken wine. There's actually a drink called cock ale, which is brewed and a dead chicken.
Starting point is 01:36:30 Of course you know that. Is it? No, it's regular red wine. Of course I would. I'm gonna grab it. But it definitely is labeled with the chicken on it. I'm grabbing a random two-butt chuck next to me on the wall. Same label.
Starting point is 01:36:42 They're all the same line. Hey, hey, hey, to Vexallia, the Dragon Slayer. Fuck yes. Oh shait, right, what's that? Pain. I'm proud of you. Thanks. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:01 Is that all you want to say? No, it's really not known. Well, that's three or five. I don't know if we're all gonna live, but I think that collectively, we might actually actually. actually pull it off. I think we have a good shot of it.
Starting point is 01:37:19 Yeah. Almost bit it out there. Yeah, I noticed. Again. Yes. It's scary. They're not dead. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:34 Old news, we've done it before. We'll do it again. Hey, um, uh, you want to try to jumping around with those boots? Oh, I gave him the grog. Oh, you give him the grog? Yeah. You want to try to jump around anyway?
Starting point is 01:37:45 Sure. Yeah. How high can you go? Um, it's a jump, it's a normal little jump. It's good. Yeah. Yeah. Why? No reason, I'm procrastinating. Oh yeah, so tell me what you're procrastinating about.
Starting point is 01:38:00 How long are you gonna torture yourself for? Oh, you fuck. What? What are you even talking about right now? Do you want to see how high I can jump now? So high. I get on my broom and I just fly up to this evening. Look it, I'm so high. Push out the wings. No, I can't. I can't. Can't you want to use it.
Starting point is 01:38:28 Well, you come down here and talk to me. Fine, fine. Hi. Yeah. What are you doing? I don't know. You know I've known for a while. It's all of your face.
Starting point is 01:38:45 I've known you since you were a baby. I've known for a while. Okay. I've almost died. Yes. You have died. Yes. He died.
Starting point is 01:38:58 Yes. What are you fucking doing, Vex? It's time. I mean, you know, it's all timing. Timing could have you dead in the ground tomorrow. Is this true? And you know something? He leads with this.
Starting point is 01:39:19 Not with that. His collarbone? Yeah. He's smarter. I, um, okay. Maybe he'll surprise you, but I don't know. I think, um, he isn't thinking that way at all. And honestly, um...
Starting point is 01:39:40 You're a dummy. I'm the dumbie. I'm the dumb. Why are you such a dumb? I don't know, darling. It's, it just seems so trivial, doesn't it? What the fuck do we have in this world except for moments with each other? That's all we've got. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:08 I want you to have some happiness in your life. I do have happiness. You should have a little more. There's no reason to hold back. Why? Wouldn't it be so awkward, though? You know, it's awkward? Hmm.
Starting point is 01:40:34 Life not lived. Here, I'm living in life. I've got a trinket. I've got you sometimes when you're not with Kiwis. So you're my sister and I love you very much and I know a lot about you. Mm-hmm. And I can help you in a lot of ways, not every way. I know. There are facets of you that have nothing to do with me. Very few. We all could be dead in a week. You know that, you know that.
Starting point is 01:41:23 You know that. I'm a fucking idiot. I don't know anything. I want you to remember that you just said that. I never forget a gamer out of time, Laura. Oh, don't. Short life we got. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but...
Starting point is 01:41:50 No, sorry. Side note, he's a little fucked up. Oh, I know. And he only listens to you. That's not true. Yes it is. No.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Who is he listened to? Keyless. They're like so close. Yeah, they enjoy each other's company. I know that, but yeah, you're really the only one he listens to. So I need you to... He has impulse control. I have impulse control.
Starting point is 01:42:39 Yes, you do. He has a different kind of impulse control. Okay. You want me to control him then? Get him under my thumb. Bring him to the night. Just a little bit. I know.
Starting point is 01:42:58 Take another bottle of wine and I just... I thank you. Am I drunk? Am I at disadvantage now? If I do the whole bottle? In a minute you will be, yeah. Grab another bottle. All right. Blug, glug, glug, glug.
Starting point is 01:43:15 Well, all right. I want to go see some fireballs get shot. I'll see you later. Okay, have fun. Woo! As Vax, sloppy leaves the room. room you're kind of left in quiet by yourself with your house. And I walk away.
Starting point is 01:43:37 I pop drink it out, can't speak with animals, and have a nice fun conversation with him. Okay. All right, we're gonna go ahead and take a break here. We'll come back here in just a minute. We haven't done shit. That's not true. You've discussed the spoils from your last major story bit.
Starting point is 01:43:58 story bit so we'll be out here in a few minutes we're gonna go ahead and take restroom break it's fill up on drinks stay tuned and we'll see a minute barrage of delightful phrases that were just shouted at me um love you bet love you too guys I do want to say about fast that our wonderful Kiki Day who made a number of other vestiges to deliver who made Phenthras made the Spire complex which you could see on Mersia's Twitter right now I think Kegan Sundry's Twitter is Twitter as was making me a belt buckle that I'm gonna be wearing at Blisscon.
Starting point is 01:44:36 Really? Oh my gosh. Fantastic. That's a badass my fucking belt. What's saying? Spire of couplice. Go ahead and wear myself a tucked in shirt. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:44:51 All right, anyway, so let's get into the game. So you guys finishing those scenes, taking a short rest, do you roll your hit dice to heal up a bit? What more do you wish to accomplish? What's your next? Plan of Action, Box Muggynack. I'd say we pack all of all of our things and raid a ship.
Starting point is 01:45:10 And then head back to White Stone. I mean, oh no, we're fine in here. Are we? Are we? Do you want to rest before we do that? I say we have, I say we, we have to rest. We're all severely injured. We take, well, some of us, yeah. I say we take a night, we hit the ship and then head home.
Starting point is 01:45:32 It's good wine. Oh, he's drunk. You guys got in school. That is good wine. Did you aerate it first? Why'd you do that? If you don't have an aerator, you can just put it in a mason jar and just shake it up a bit.
Starting point is 01:45:48 We just drank it out of the bottle. Well, that's just good. Pedestrian, really. You have so many. Some ice in it, keep it cold. Are we still melting a mask to a helmet? We did, we had a little bit of metallurgy to do. Make a teakering check.
Starting point is 01:46:05 And this actually, this is a... going to be, make a... With, you know? I help them with my heat metal spell, like the soldering iron, you know? Okay. Then yeah, then, then, that being the case, it's gonna help with the metals liability.
Starting point is 01:46:21 Go ahead and make your regular decks based. Regular deck face, all right. Make a strength based for the metal, but the heat metal is helping you with that. All right. Big money. That's 26. 26?
Starting point is 01:46:33 Yeah, without an issue. You managed to apply the mascot the back of the helmet after you know looking at some some brief glances at the shape of Grog's head making sure that it itself has sort of a hinge so if he leans forward it doesn't restrict or press into the back right so yeah it is a functional back mask onto his delightful pointed I've also I've also carved in in elvin the side kick me on the inside of the mat yeah all righty so it's there It's magnificent.
Starting point is 01:47:08 I think so. Shall we present it to him? Yes, let's. I feel like we should go at this with a little bit of theatricality. All right. Just because it's so much fun to fuck with God. I know. All right, how do you want to do this?
Starting point is 01:47:19 No, no. Oh, oh, oh, oh, I turn into an elephant. Get on my back. Did you say that before turning into a little? Yes, I do. Get on my back! All right. God's sake, stop errating more,
Starting point is 01:47:39 wine. You've had enough. You've had enough. All right. It's so over-written. Sound ever. Okay. All right, Percy's on my back and I'm an elephant holding the mask. Okay. We go to my garage. Well, first you get to the doorway of the workshop. It's a temporary fucking mansion. I bust through.
Starting point is 01:48:02 Make a strength check. Yes. I don't know how to, I don't know. Oh my gosh. Jesus. Will you put this a dice shell for me? I don't know. What do I roll for a... You roll, you add your strength modifier as an elephant.
Starting point is 01:48:19 Well, I don't know what an elephant stats are. Well, I'm gonna find it right now. I'm gonna find for you what an elephant. But I rolled a two. You rolled the one, a two? Yeah, I'm not gonna work. I'm a fucking elephant and it's a door. It's plus six, because it's a goddamn elephant.
Starting point is 01:48:37 Whoa! Whoa. Um, it's plus six. So eight. Uh, you, it lurches ever so slightly, but that is a very strong doorway. It's almost like the arcane nature of Scanlon's magic makes a good hole.
Starting point is 01:48:51 Did I try again? You hit it again, make another strength check. Better 16 total. 16th. Um, it causes some of the plaster to crack. Doesn't go that much further, but you're starting to get a serious headache. Do we hearing this?
Starting point is 01:49:10 Are we hearing like a bass? We're starting to hear now this low, general slamming sound in the mansion. What is that? Do you hear that? I'm not committed to this. I do. I do. It doesn't sound right.
Starting point is 01:49:22 Should we go finding out. One more time. I pull out Mithcarver and run down the stairs. Okay, no good accent I'll follow him. Another strength check. Hey. I'll get better with each time, 19. 19.
Starting point is 01:49:35 The door gets knocked partially off of its hinges, and the frame itself is now slightly bent forward. The wood is splintered in the stone. and the stone has more cracks into it. This is fine. The headache is now pounding. I should have thought about this. You guys hear another even louder slam this time.
Starting point is 01:49:51 As you rush down to the outside of Percy's workshop, you see what looks to be some kind of crazed, large shifting gray movement of some creature on the other side of the doorway. Is this one yours? No. It's definitely an intruder. Don't we fucking kill it?
Starting point is 01:50:08 Can we race forward and attack? All right. Both of you guys are you guys, Wait, is Percy on, that's still right? They don't see Percy. Is Percy's up at the door? Just like, bosh. Am I aware of this happening?
Starting point is 01:50:21 No. At all, I don't see them at all? No, because you're inside the workshop and you're above the door frame she's climbing into. 23. 23. One. So, Skalin, you go running with myth carver in the air,
Starting point is 01:50:35 and as you go to strike, Grog shubs you out of the way in the middle of his angry, and you just go skidding across the ground. Fifth Carver, kind of spinning out of your grasp across the floor. You, are you making a single attack, or are you doing a full round of attacks on this beast? This is a giant beast.
Starting point is 01:50:54 I'm giving it one for. So roll another attack. Are you raging? Oh, my God. No, no, no, no. Okay. 24. Okay, both hit.
Starting point is 01:51:05 Go ahead and roll damage on both attacks. Non-rage damage. What bad. Bob-pah-pab-pah. No, this will go with it. Go with it. 20 points, four points of necrotic. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:51:17 I know, I don't get, I don't hit lightly. I'm gonna die. 22 points of damage. You take 42 points of damage from your maximum of 76 hit points as an elephant, as all of a sudden, what little bit of vision you have through the pounding headache, you glance through just in time to see Grog's form
Starting point is 01:51:35 just run up and just slam his axe into you twice. How much damage? 42. What's my form? 76. I fucking headbutt him. I'm gonna count I'm on a gorge him. Let's go! Let's go! Careful Grog, it has some protection magic on it. It threw me across the room. On the same. No, that's...
Starting point is 01:51:59 All right. Marisha, I would like you to roll for a gore attack against Grog. That's ridiculous. What do I add? I don't have a step. Plus eight. Letting off steam after the dragon. 18. No, I don't think that hits you.
Starting point is 01:52:21 So you go ahead and try and gore Grog, and Grog just ducks right beneath the two giant ivory horns. Make a strength check. Okay. 20 total. 20. With that, as you duck below, the elephant slams through the archway, sending stone and pieces of wood flying and stumbles past. You actually kind of, if you ducked down to try and avoid the attack, you go underneath the elephant as it begins. to stop over you into the room.
Starting point is 01:52:48 You see this as you spin around, and the elephant just burst in, and it is very much an elephant you can see now, with Percy on top being dragged through the rubble. Like, oh, I'm thankfully wearing a helmet. Yeah. It's got Percival! Roll off! Roll off, Percy!
Starting point is 01:53:04 Oh, help, help please. Oh my God, he's so weak, you can barely speak. We must kill this helmet. We must destroy this beast. Skinland and grog, what are you doing? Come on, come on, buddy. We gotta kill this thing. Yeah, yeah, you go, come on.
Starting point is 01:53:24 I will throw one of fireballs out. How many charges does it have left? Oh, plenty, I'll only use one of seven. By, but each time you use, okay. Okay, I don't quite how it works, I don't think. Oh no. Okay. Just look at the shirt, Matt.
Starting point is 01:53:49 Just look at a shirt. No one charges through a little spell. I'm misunderstood. All right, so yeah. So you launch a fireball, go ahead and roll damage. Okay. I need- Oh wait, what is the damages? 8D6.
Starting point is 01:54:01 Got it. 8-D-6. Keelip, I need you to roll a D-20 minus one. Don't fuck me, Gil. Roll it or die. Minus, wait, a D-20 minus one? Yeah. Six total.
Starting point is 01:54:14 Okay. Goddamic. Percy, I need you to roll a dexterity saving throw. All right. Now we're like. What is that? 26. That's not bad. That's 18.
Starting point is 01:54:28 Okay, what was the damage you said? 26. Question. I'm still wearing, I'm still wearing my cloak, so do they get disadvantaged? Do they get disadvantage on attacks against me? I'm in the cloak of displacement. You're an elephant though.
Starting point is 01:54:45 An elephant in a cloak with a plate. But whenever I beast shape, I absorb my items. Yeah, the items. That would have been something to mention earlier. So currently... I'm not. So going forward, the attacks will have that disadvantage, but you have to make me that for it to have an effect.
Starting point is 01:55:01 But they're just now running. Well, he hasn't attacked it. They're rolling to... He's rolling to try... Because the fireball just blew up in his face. I got a natural point, so I'm good. Okay, so that's half damage to you. So you said it was 26 damage?
Starting point is 01:55:12 26. So 13 points of fire damage to Percy and to Grog, and a full 26 points of fire damage to you. But it puts you at a total of... I don't know. 42 plus 26. I think I'm still up. So 68, you're still up.
Starting point is 01:55:27 The elephant that's now storming through the center of the, hold on, I have to go into battle music for this now. Where's your battle map? Storming through the center of the foyer is now spinning around, flames explode, engulfing Percy and engulfing Grog. The elephant is now just covered in blood and scrapes. That finishes your go. Grog, you're up.
Starting point is 01:55:49 Before I'm done, I'm gonna inspire Grog. Yes. And say, Grog, remember, they never forget. Oh, my God. I think you need 12 inspiration. Thank you. I'll take two strokes at the elephant's arse. Okay. That's a one.
Starting point is 01:56:10 With disadvantage. Oh, well, that's a one. I know. Okay, so I'm just like an attack. And that's a two. Wow. Go- goof, go-coof. So as you go-
Starting point is 01:56:22 As you go, we die, by the way. This time, oh, whoa, I do I have to end shit. Yeah. So the second one was 60 and the first one was the 50. It still hits. The 60, oh. Oh! You rolled in two and it still hits.
Starting point is 01:56:33 Oh, good. Yeah. Because it's AC is 12, it's very big and easy to hit. So go ahead and all damage on the next. Oh, nice. What a joy. It's not hard to hit an elephant. Can we also say that the two Winoes have come down?
Starting point is 01:56:45 Yeah, we're just staring from the top of the stairs at all of them happen. Yeah, you guys are just watching this happen. The first one is 20 with four points of necrotic. We only hit with one. Oh, that's right. That much for that? 20 points? Yeah, 20.
Starting point is 01:56:55 Okay, so that you would have been, so you take Keeleth, you yourself take 12 points of damage. Yeah. As your axe swings through and slams in the elephant, the elephant's form suddenly vanishes as your axe cleaves through Keelith just a little bit, causing her to fall back and kind of catch yourself. Is Percy still on her back, like, piggy-back?
Starting point is 01:57:18 In a second, Percy goes on the ground next to you. Percy, you've been riding Raichon. Die, evil witch! Grog. What? Keelis. Oh, Grog, thank you. That elephant ate me.
Starting point is 01:57:34 You did. Man, sometimes I don't know if you guys would live without me. I'm really glad I'm around sometimes. I can't imagine it. I legitimately cannot imagine it. Oh, is that my helmet? It is. Hey, Frederick Stein, the science guy. Nice job, look at that.
Starting point is 01:57:58 It's beautiful. This, the elephant ate this too. It's Dr. Patrick's that, please. There's a poo on it. Steam. No, it's good. It's clean, it's perfectly reasonable. Ooh, the masks on the back.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Here it comes. Did you rot on the inside, like I said? It is engraving, an elephant on the inside. It's lovely. It looks like writing. It is. What's it? It's your title, sir.
Starting point is 01:58:29 Is that? Oh, that reads, that's Elvish. Oh, it's Elvish? Right, so not everybody knows. No, it's meant to be secret. Very smart, very smart. Did you see my title? I did, it's impressive.
Starting point is 01:58:43 I wrote it down. Did you? I knew it was going to be handy. I will put on the new mask slash horn helmet. I don't know. It feels impressive. Has it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:55 Actually, because now the mask is facing the back, right? Yeah. Can I fucking turn it around and put the mask on the front with the horn sticking out the back like a big Nike swoosh? You can. It's not as comfortable, but it definitely feels badass. But don't feel like this is the best of it. It looks really good.
Starting point is 01:59:14 You sound very intimidating. Okay. You've got polymorphin to De Niro. Oh my God. I feel like I'm gonna have to write some house rules from now on. It would be good to have a list of things to ignore, I agree. You need some of those blue guys with an aerator at all times down in those cellars. Blue man group?
Starting point is 01:59:40 One of your blue guys. The blue guys that disappear. They're all over the place. There was nobody. There's no guys here. There was nobody to come. They're all female servants. I don't know how many times I need to say this. Well, nobody farted in our wine tonight.
Starting point is 01:59:58 We had to drink a regular. I am sorry for your loss because it's really excellent once you let it breathe and open up. It's pretty good right now. Well, now that I got my helmet, are we going down to this year? I propose that we have an evening's rest in the morning. We should go now. No.
Starting point is 02:00:25 No, I think we need an evening's rest. I have 25 hair points, I'm fine. Yeah, yeah. Well, Pike is resting because she was hurt quite badly. Yeah, but did you see her fun buns though? I did this. I didn't. You did her fun buns?
Starting point is 02:00:43 Yeah, I put little fun buns. Oh, okay. That's good. I didn't think anything. I'm going to... What else does fun buns mean except for little cute little hairballs? I'll give you a book later. Oh, you have a book.
Starting point is 02:00:56 I have a few. Library. Oh, gosh, neither Vax nor Liam knew there was anything other than Little Q air buns. Fun bun. What is a fun bun besides a fun bun? Can't have all this. Ask Larkin.
Starting point is 02:01:13 Yeah, ask Larkin. Guys get some sleep. Let's get some sleep. Let's get some sleep. Okay. All right, so you guys take your long rest. You gain your spells, you're all at full hit points. You regain.
Starting point is 02:01:25 Half of your hit dice back, of your max hit dice. So if you spent more than half of your hit dice, you stole. Do we keep our hit dice from our Heroes Feast if we never got rid of them? Or are they gone? No, by the time you'd wake up, they'd be gone probably. Can you use hit?
Starting point is 02:01:44 No, my. When they wake up in the morning, Vax has a bill under his door, three bottles of wine. And Vex for one bottle, and Keeleeth for a comming. construction bill of 5,000 gold pieces. I probably, I probably,
Starting point is 02:02:05 rip the fuck out of my bill. Yes, I think it's a scam and I throw it away. Oh, God. It is a scam. All right. Well rested, brush your day, the mansion growing fairly close to probably expending the rest of its magic.
Starting point is 02:02:29 What do you guys do? Let's pack our things, head down, take a look at that pirate ship and then head home. That ship, I don't know if the pirates involved, but I'm very excited. So wait, do we need things, how far under ice is it? Probably a bit, having the ability to melt some ice would probably be helpful.
Starting point is 02:02:47 Also, we're going to have to do the tree teleport and possibly we'll want to deal with reforestation. Reforestation. Oh, sure, because the ice age kind of vitality. We have to sort of go out like Catonio. It's going to be a thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just throwing this out there,
Starting point is 02:03:04 is there anything to gain by going up to the Dragon layer and communicating with Thorac, is there anything we want to say to him? No. No. Misdirection, taunting, anything. You can find us at the Glinch or. We don't even want to take an hour for me to flip this on
Starting point is 02:03:21 and go see if there's anything about you. Up in the layer? Yeah. Well, yeah. You can do that while we look at the if you think it's a bad idea. But don't go alone. If there's a problem,
Starting point is 02:03:33 you can still get hit with traps. Well, I can look for those. I do like buddies to go. Do you need to go to the boat? It's all in the same place. Yeah. It's all in the same place. I can hover above you or something.
Starting point is 02:03:47 Yeah. Let's jauntily head over. Yeah, sure. If there's a problem, we can call the others. We won't be that far away. All right, I, I, ooh, I slip whisper into my pack and I put this ring on. Oh, precious.
Starting point is 02:04:03 So you have to attune to that. Nasty. Thank you. Nasty. Nasty woman. Nasty woman. She's a nasty woman. Oh, I may need to ring town later.
Starting point is 02:04:23 Yeah. Okay. All right, great. So you guys have put yourself together. Kewan Pike join you downstairs in the foyer. You make your way back out into the ravine just as the magic of the mansion fades. There you can see most of the dragon bones picked entirely off of the corpse of Oregal, except for the rib cage still remaining as a landmark of the battle that took place
Starting point is 02:04:49 with the central tree still sprouting from the top of it. Is it any bigger? No, it's by the same. The magic of pbenthus basically creates that tree and it stays that size. as it sprouts. Who knows over time it may grow, you haven't had time to really tell. You guys make your way.
Starting point is 02:05:10 Quite lengthy, isn't it? I appreciate it. You're welcome. I did it for you. Certainly add something, doesn't it, to the whole valley? It's quite nice. Yeah, green.
Starting point is 02:05:25 The weather has cleared up. There is, there are breaks in the clouds. mostly cloud cover, but you do see glimpses of blue sky here and there. Still cold, you still see your breath out in the air. But it is, the temperature does feel slightly warmer than it was the day before. You begin to walk down to the ravine center on the north side of the ravine, where Moragal's layer once resided. You can see hundreds of footprints up and down through the snow through the ravine
Starting point is 02:05:56 there's been a lot of foot traffic to and from while you guys were resting. You make your way to the ice throne of Boragal, and you see a portion of it has collapsed inward. But you also see a lot of put traffic around. Most of the ice spires that remains up there have been broken. The remaining draconian corpses that were adorned on them have been taken down in visual sight. And you can see there are a few remaining dragon-born Ravanites that are kind of stepping in and out of the cavern-like chamber that you largely punched through and they continued to excavate into through the night. If you could let them know that we're going to make one last venture into the ship and then we'll be on our way.
Starting point is 02:06:40 I walk up to one of the guys going in and say in Draconik, have you unearthed the giant ship yet? Yes. It does not, uh, it does not, uh, there's nothing for us. But we've worked around it. And he points down, you can see the portion of it that has collapsed, uh, kind of filled in part of the side. It's been kind of, you know, shoveled out in this large chunks of ice that are kind of setting outside of this cavern area. Um, part, parts of the ship have been moved around it.
Starting point is 02:07:15 It looks like it's been somewhat damaged. Uh, and it's not a full ship. it's a large portion of a ship. It looks like in whenever battle or attack that Borgal took this ship, it destroyed a large portion of it in doing so and took the rest of it with it in pieces. And it is a very pretty ship. It looks like it may have been the jewel of the navy somewhere.
Starting point is 02:07:42 And here it resides. However, it does appear to be like the ship has seen, many moons since it was originally taken, if it makes any sense. Like it wasn't something that was brought directly here. It looks like almost a keepsake that Borogal has moved from layer to layer. Oh, that's so good. It has some sort of sentimental value. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 02:08:07 It had some engraving on it. You speak a lot of languages, right? Well, speak a couple languages. I read a couple. What are familiar? Does it look familiar? Does it look familiar? What languages do you do?
Starting point is 02:08:22 Celvin, Elvin, common. Sylvan, primordial, prudic, elven. Giant, common. Nomish. That's it. You don't even know common. No one's understood you this entire game. Mike speaks dwarfish.
Starting point is 02:08:39 Pike does pick up on it. It is dwarfish, does. I speak dwarish, but I can't read. that is a problem I have a belt yeah no at Israel and Pite takes a look
Starting point is 02:08:53 and begins reading around it and this it's the name of the ship across the mast there's the flowbreaker um flow breaker
Starting point is 02:09:02 this this ship appears to have been at least in some way or form designed as a means of traveling through uh through very far north icy regions meant to break through elements of heavy glacier flows and such.
Starting point is 02:09:22 The construction of it is you get closer to the actual bit of the ship that is there. You can see it's very heavily reinforced with metal and has a very rigid structure to it. The fine scrolling that you saw before, the swimming, it looks to be partially filled with ice at times. As soon as it kind of broke away, you could see it's actually more of a harsh, dwarish, runic, fighting to it. But the ship has definitely seen a lot of wear and tear. That's about as much as you can make out of it. Can you get inside of it? Is there anything to see inside of it? I'm inside if you want to. You might have to be... Just like the top of the deck and where the mast connects. The mast is still, the portion of it is still frozen into the upper part of the throne. There is no entrance immediate.
Starting point is 02:10:13 visible but you could break through some more ice or try and break through the actual deck to get them up. I cast the flaming sphere. Okay. If the ball begins to roll on the bridge of the ship. Where does there look like the most convenient entrance? In science and stuff? Maybe like four feet away from where the ice begins. You can see there is one broken portion of the ship deck, maybe about a three-foot, four-foot hole.
Starting point is 02:10:46 You could get to melt towards if you wanted to. All right, I'm gonna concentrate my flaming sphere on that and start melting it. Okay. It's taking a while. About, how long as the spell asked, coming sphere? Like a minute, I think. A little fast here. All right, flaming sphere.
Starting point is 02:11:08 Up to a minute, yeah. The spell expires, the minute done, and you've managed to melt maybe three inches into the ice. And how much is it? How much is it? About four feet of ice. Oh, fuck that. Punch it.
Starting point is 02:11:30 I'll start going rocky rib cage on this big piece of meat. Okay, make the shrieks here. For 20. You eat crag. 21. 21. Dush. You just continues to punch and punch and punch with each one.
Starting point is 02:11:48 You see the ice kind of crack. Pieces of it break away. You get quite a ways to punching through the, towards the direction that you you were currently melting before a lot of the ice crumbles and falls in and almost kind of buries you for a second but you start knocking it away and you kind of pull yourself out of it as you do scooping the shards that now kind of fill the occupy the space you were and get it out of the way it has the gust can trip over top of them to kind of keep the ice from falling
Starting point is 02:12:16 on okay I hope there's really something in here keep punching keep punching you get to one point and you hit and you hear the you watch the crack Grog? Spider up. Look out. Look out. We need to go. I'm going to, portion of the throne above you is now starting to crack and fall into this side.
Starting point is 02:12:45 I'll start running out of there. We should get out. Let's get out. I also back out. Okay. I need the three of you who are closest to it to make dexterity setting through, please. Who's a pherom, do you think? Uh...
Starting point is 02:13:04 I'd check instead. You have to manage on dexterity, though. You're fine. Only if I'm right. I could hang back, but I've been meaning to say this whole time that I was creeping around the throne. So I'm just going to throw that out that I'm up there. You're all right? Okay, so yeah, you see this happening.
Starting point is 02:13:19 A portion of it, like a whole half side of it has just cracked and is sliding down into the cavern that has been excavated by your party and the Ravanites. So if I'm almost on it, should I be making it dead to save as well? If you're almost on it, uh... I was going to poke around and look around it. Only half of it's collapsing, I'll say, sure. Go for it. You who offers me to let you make a dexterity saving throw, yes. I will take it. Really? Did you really do that?
Starting point is 02:13:46 I'll rule of one, but I have lots of luck left. And now I'm fine, so I'm not. That's the 26. Okay, so yeah, you've managed to leap off and tumble in the snow to the bottom and not have to worry about it. Travis? Eight. Eight.
Starting point is 02:14:02 With advantage. 29. 19, but I used a resolve to, I've been to resolve. Okay. So as you guys dart out, Grog and Kieluth unfortunately are left a little bit behind. You both are pummeled with chunks of hard ice and jagged points of broken. That's their dealing.
Starting point is 02:14:28 That is 13 points of bludgeoning and piercing damage to both of you. And you find yourself partially buried in the ice as it cracks it. You see like most of Keelis' body is currently buried, just like her head and arm, are out and grog. You're about up to your waist now. All better. And broken ice and snow, and you're like, Oh no.
Starting point is 02:14:49 Pull yourself out. Look at Keelah's arm. Yeah, I see it. Can you get her out? Oh, yeah, okay, and I stop moving the eye off. Pull Keelith out. That didn't go well. Oh God.
Starting point is 02:15:04 Let's just burrow straight into the side, I think, just to be on the safe side, let's stop melting ice. Do you think we should, isn't it buried completely at this point? At this point, the entire excavation portion, which, by the way, when you guys came back, most of the gold and platinum that was in there has been completely removed by the Ravanites over time. And this whole area that's been excavated so carefully, left it in a very precarious place. Those physical hits by Grog sent that whole south side of the throne to collapse inward.
Starting point is 02:15:35 So it's partially collapsed. There was a large pile of ice. rock and snow and it's not very accessible from the current standpoint you have maybe it was just like one of Vargles forgold's first kills or something sentimental I don't know I'm irritated by it I think it might have given him a little bit of juice when he was at home it seems like it has some sort of icy extra ability when he was here I'm trying and maybe now with the ice is broken I can melt through it easier I mean why would a dragon keep a boat
Starting point is 02:16:09 Why would he? Maybe. Maybe. It's just booby, you know, like. Like Betty? Yeah. Yeah. You know about that person?
Starting point is 02:16:17 Some people like collecting ships, you know? Maybe he's just a nautical. Yeah, guns and chips. Yeah, guns and ships. He was a nautical kind of guy. Right, yeah, right, you know? Bob, mama, ba, bob. Do, do, do, do, do.
Starting point is 02:16:29 Okay. While we're all standing here with our thumbs and our butts, could I look around and see if I see a little stone, a little palenteer type of? Make an investigation check. Where is you standing? Back again. Creepers, creepers.
Starting point is 02:16:45 If he's up top, I would have been up there with him to... Okay. I'm a crow circling around, watching him from above. I'm invisible. Well, I'm watching the area. All right. Would you roll, 26? Yeah, you see within the north side of the throne
Starting point is 02:17:05 that there are two orbs embedded in the ice about a foot beneath the surface. Whereas previously you saw more. In the past and other locations, you mean? No, meaning when you guys first came to this one there, you saw forced, it was three stones. Right. You now see two.
Starting point is 02:17:30 But half the throne has collapsed as well. And how far down are they under the ice? Foot, foot and a half from the surface. I'm going to go find my sister. Hey, I'm invisible! Here I am. Hi. Did you see it collapsed?
Starting point is 02:17:58 Yes, I saw I dodged out of the way. I'm good. I also am right here. I know, I'm looking at you. Yes, no, I'm invisible. I'm invisible. I'm looking in your direction. Boop! I saw those, remember those little rounder, those seeing stones.
Starting point is 02:18:14 Yeah. There's a couple under the ice over there. Now I was invisible, so I don't... You saw them under the ice? Yeah. You saw a couple under the ice? A couple under the ice. I used to put it two away.
Starting point is 02:18:25 Where were the other ones? I didn't see any other ones. Were they there before it collapsed? I don't know. I was standing right beneath the throne when the throne collapsed. Then I found them. Were they near the area that it collapsed?
Starting point is 02:18:39 Were they near the area that it collapsed? One of them was, yeah. One of them was, yeah. Fuck! Fuck. Fuck, Fuck indeed. Oh.
Starting point is 02:18:55 Did we just maybe... Yeah. We should get out. We should go. Fuck. Hey, Percy, want to leave a mark anymore? We should tell Tuma that... You left one.
Starting point is 02:19:11 Yeah, I feel like... I go find Tuma. I think he does. You had... Okay, the handful of Dragon Morn that were there after the collapse or kind of like just walking them back. to the internal cavern area. As you head back, you notice that a large portion of the Ravanites have all come out of their caves,
Starting point is 02:19:31 and right now are in the process of scouring the ruins, some of them are putting their ornaments away. Tuma is out there currently conversing with a number of other, what they could be community leaders that are deciding what the next steps are. I approach Tuma. Tuma, it's time that we make our departures. Make our departure very soon. Amen.
Starting point is 02:19:56 I want to thank you so much for everything that you've provided and everything that your people have done. To thank you for your... You're sticking to your work. I would love to help and leave some parting gift in any way that I can. Yeah. The riches from the hoard will provide enough for us. You need not worry. What was your land like before Vorogogal got in?
Starting point is 02:20:29 I know it wasn't as icy and as frigid. It was... It was... without snow. We are in the south side of wild melt. I hope this fades with time. We are not bound for snow people. I can attempt to maybe... Revitalize your plant knife as much as I can before I do. It's... we appreciate...
Starting point is 02:21:03 ...love a good, strong people when I... strong people and I want to see your recovery. It's like I hope they're saying to mind. Lewis Jones we talked about. Yes. Yeah, they kind of got josted. Why? It looks like that ice wasn't super strong and it collapsed.
Starting point is 02:21:36 The ice was going to collapse eventually anyway. What does this mean? Not sure exactly. Okay. But... Should keep an eye on the sky. If you see something red, maybe hide. Just for a while.
Starting point is 02:21:55 Thoradak doesn't know what was here, but if he realizes Borog's been killed, he'll come looking, potentially. But you're going to kill this, Thoredak, yes? Oh, yeah. With your help, hopefully. Um, just in case he comes before we get to him. You should get to him quickly then. Okay. Good.
Starting point is 02:22:15 The whole time she's been done. talking her braid has been going like a magical jump rope because I'm standing here doing this with it. Not the time. If you find something... Fucking dick, stop it! You find an ice weapon in that ship beneath the throne. Anything magical, some sort of ice power, we may need it. That may be useful.
Starting point is 02:22:46 Keep mine for it. Percy, Beth, I need to take time with it. Are you all right spending the rest of the gang here while I have them? I ascend to the top of the ravine and I start meditating and I cast plant growth. We all need to go up there anyway because that's where the trees are that we're going to transfer through, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We make our way to the top of the ravines. The level's plan for it. Third. Third.
Starting point is 02:23:22 And I'm doing the eight hour. Eight hours. Hey, guys. Super boring day for us. Well, sorry. I don't want to get in that shit. I start doing that and revitalizing their landscape as close to what it was before and giving their crops a little bit of a boost.
Starting point is 02:23:47 It affects all normal plants than a hundred foot radius. So you have a very specific portion that you revitalize in the ravine. Okay, well, I talked to Tum and I'd find out where she... Actually, no, all plants in a half mile radius in her point. That's what I thought. Yeah, because there's the eight hour one. You're right, you're right. The eight hour one that's like,
Starting point is 02:24:04 she kept reading. Okay, so yeah. You talked to her about and she tells you that like, the ravine itself does not have the nutrients to support crops, but we had farmland right above the ravine. Do you plan to still reside there? Once the snow melts, yes. I'll do what I can, and I go there.
Starting point is 02:24:28 Okay. And you get there, and through the use of your elemental magic, you easily cast aside the snow, and from underneath you can see where, once there was a heavy amount of crop land that has all died off because of the recent freeze that came with Boragal, you take the eight hours to concentrate,
Starting point is 02:24:43 and as you do, you enrich the land. You could watch as many of these dead seeds come to life with green once more. Suddenly, you see sprouting bits of delicious cabbages and other forms of produce begin to spring to life and for nutrient-rich. As this happens, you could see a few of the Ravanites who followed you to watch this are kind of taken it back and excitedly rushed down to tell the rest of the people. The rest of you are bored out of your mind for the next eight hours.
Starting point is 02:25:12 Keep a nice bar. Challenge Vax to a peeing in the snow contest. I had a lot of wine. Oh, yeah, that was last night. So you're pretty hung over. Distance and accurate. Da-da-da-da-ta-da. I brought one from your house.
Starting point is 02:25:31 It's gone. It disappears. Yeah, as you reach for it, there's nothing there. It's so good. That's amazing. And so you guys have fun sparring for a while. You beat the crap out of each other, off and off a few hours,
Starting point is 02:25:48 and both feel good about it. When the eight hours are finished, do you guys reconvene? A.X. Let's be a 10. Back to the shirt than Scanlan. Curse it, baby. I want both you guys make performance checks.
Starting point is 02:26:06 Okay. Yeah. Performance check. Performance for peeing in the snow. Yeah. He's got a really high modifier though. Yeah. I don't sure.
Starting point is 02:26:14 Not good. No, you're gonna win. No, even at the lowest will be higher, I bet. 18. 21. Oh. Oh. Zoro.
Starting point is 02:26:23 Remember, you can add your own, your own Barton inspiration to you. Yeah, if he thinks of it. Okay, okay. It's a fair fight. It is close, but as much as your cursive writing was on point, it was impressive that Vax was capable of cursive drawing the X, stopping, and then crossing the X.
Starting point is 02:26:44 Whoa. But you know, it stings, it stings when you stop. That's impressive. But you know, my way who's built for power not accuracy. As soon as the cube comes out, can I touch me? With the cube out or what?
Starting point is 02:27:02 What are you talking to? No, not you. Oh, look. Sure, yeah, I'm just gonna do nothing with stare at that bloody chip if I don't, so sure. Um, how are you? After dying? I'm trying really hard not to think about it, actually.
Starting point is 02:27:20 I don't know Honestly There hasn't been more time to process No there hasn't It's a lot in the few days I would say it would be nice You're great at protecting your data But lots of places could still expose you to identity theft

Starting point is 02:29:40 ...to be going home, except I know we're going home too, but there's going to be no relief. No, not for a while, I don't think. That creature hanging around. Yeah, death was not pleasant. It was, uh... I have to tell you something. All right. Do you know what Fentherus means? I don't actually. It comes from the elevator. It's unsurprised.
Starting point is 02:30:31 Growth and protection. I would have eventually looked it up. Terribly boring thing I will do. Kind of odd that Sonder had it for so long since he was quite the opposite of that, don't you think? I tend to think that many people tend to exalt the exact opposite of what they are.
Starting point is 02:31:00 I don't know. I think he focused for so long on the betrayal of his love, on all of the horrible things with himself that caused that he became the physical embodiment of it. And I think he was trying to do the same thing to me. And even though I refused him, I could feel those seeds being planted self-doubt and and loathing, echoing in my mind every night, reliving every wrong that people have done to me and everything I've done.
Starting point is 02:31:47 I've recently, I will say before death, had a bit of an epiphany, and have been trying, not always succeeding, but trying not to dwell on such things. That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about. In the fight with Ripley. Yes. One last words to her were...
Starting point is 02:32:12 I forgive you. Yes. It was such a surprise. Yes. I pull out Fenthras and I show him what I've carved onto it. It's Seneh, do you know that word? Uh, how common is that word? You know the word. I would know the word.
Starting point is 02:32:32 It's forgive. Oh. I carved this on Fenthris because that's a word. The key, isn't it? It's the only way to really grow. I think so. I'm trying. It's the only thing I've tried that's made any sense so far. And it felt very liberating. It felt good. It felt perfect. And it wasn't about her. And it wasn't, it was just about me. Honestly, that was really the thing that I noticed was it wasn't, I didn't say it to make her. better I didn't say it to give her any peace. And I came to that feeling before running into her. I didn't know if it would be true when I saw her,
Starting point is 02:33:33 but I feel like so much of my energy had been such a waste, and worse than a waste, had been twisted in the wrong direction. And it's too late for a lot of things. There are things I cannot take back and things that I have done that I have done that will forever be terrible. But that's not the point though, I suppose. Remember that boy was that created those things that suffered such hoarse that he felt they were justified?
Starting point is 02:34:13 You have to forgive him too. Because everything you've suffered and endured and created in that time has made you into the person that you are now. And you have a brilliant mind. any darkness that might cloud your vision on occasion? The fact that you found it within yourself to forgive her means that it will never overtake you. Thank you. I would like to think we're all better than we think we are.
Starting point is 02:34:53 Said maybe your brother, I think he's just a mask. It's terrible, isn't he? Just the worst. To be in here. Maybe. Probably hiding somewhere. You'll be never ring. Thank you. I know. I know I have to forgive myself. I'm not quite there yet, but I can see a path.
Starting point is 02:35:18 And I like where we are and what we're doing. And I think that we're the right people in the right place and the right time. Very good. And this, this engraving is a reminder. But every time I attack, it's not at a vent. I would be horrified if you were taking yourself too seriously. Never. Did you see the bear that I carved on the tree is quite lovely? It was quite lovely. I don't know if the tree is quite as happy with it, but I was quite impressed.
Starting point is 02:35:59 Thank you. Thank you. What room are we in out of curiosity, by the way? No room. We're in the woods. Oh, no room we're in the woods? All right. And as I walk away, I walk up. Walk up, I kiss her. So we'll talk later. And I walk away.
Starting point is 02:36:43 Anything can happen in the woods. And it's 10 o'clock. We're gonna go into end today. Bam, motherfuckers! Bam! Bam! Bam! Yeah.
Starting point is 02:37:02 Go on my name. That's a beat thing in an episode. I'm sure. So thank you guys for watching. That was, that was, I had a lot of interesting things. We had an elephant fight. The spoils of war. A whole bunch of new shit.

Starting point is 02:37:39 That is not going to be the title. I shit it. You're welcome, Internet. You're welcome. I shit it. Well then, we'll get ourselves to rest for the evening.
