Hey there, Critters.
We are so excited to share with you our brand new podcast from the world of Exandria, The Re-Slayer's Take.
In this audio adventure, you'll be guided through the wild continent of Isilra, home
to some of the most dangerous creatures.
Here, the Slayer's Take is
the most notorious monster hunting group in the realm. But when previously slain creatures start
returning from the grave, it's up to six misfit mercenaries to band together and re-slay these
supernatural threats as the Re-Slayers Take. So come follow along these audio escapades as the
second coolest monster hunters this side of Exandria battle a growing undead army of dangerous creatures.
The party is led by a duo of game masters, George Primavera and Nick Williams, with the main cast including Jasmine Bular, Caroline Lux, and Jasmine Shion.

Oh, get ready, it's Thursday night. SAM and LAURA
And welcome back.
So last we left off,
the Mighty Nein, after trekking alongside Bell's Hells
to the Redmoon Ruidus,
keeping low within the core of the city Corvirus
until they were notified that the assault
on the Malleus Key had commenced
and they were likely in the best position
to separate and tackle their two separate goals.
The Mighty Nein set off with the volition,
waiting for a detonation on the outskirts
of the prime pillar citadel known as the Arx Creonum.
And with a massive explosion,
a portion of the outside of this stronghold
was destroyed and left exposed.
You trudged up these cables that were fired upon it
and some of you fell from them.
We weren't supposed to!
But managed to salvage the arrival. of you fell from them. We weren't supposed to.
But managed to salvage the arrival.
Heroes of the Lair, nearly all.
Battled along the outskirts
of the exposed portion of the Citadel.
The exterior battlements were numerous.
Rylo and guardians were defending
the arriving attackers and yourselves as well,
defeating a number of them
and managing to dart into the exposed interior
among one of the many broken floor openings
to the core of this stronghold.
You begin to sprint down one of these long marble hallways
with the sound of Gaztomo covering your rear,
charging towards where you think the Weavemind
might be hiding within.
So, Mighty Nein, as the seven of you are heading
into the depths of the Arks Creonum,
what would you like to do?
What do we do?
You tried to kill me, you bitch.
I wouldn't kill you. You're so powerful.
It would have just stunned you for a while.
What the fuck?
What did you do that for?
What?
What is this going to help our situation at all?
It would embolden me by making me feel like I did better.
Hey, new rule.
Let's not try to kill each other
while we're fighting all of this bad stuff, okay?
If that rule was in effect before,
I would have followed it,
but it was just put into effect right now.
Okay.
100 gold says I kill more Weavemine people than you do.
Body count? Yeah.
All right, 100 gold, let's go.
Is anyone coming to Kaelas right now? Make a perception check. All right, 100 gold, let's go. Is anyone coming to Kaelas right now?
Make a perception check. All right.
1d20, I feel naked.
Oh, it's terrible.
Miss you, Orym.
It's 14.
14.
You hear the sounds of echoing footfalls
throughout distance hallways.
You're uncertain to figure out at the moment
if they're getting closer, further away.
You also hear the sounds of shouts,
the impacts and crumbling of stone,
and the occasional shaking of the Arx Creonum.
The chaos right now is so fresh
that you're unable to ascertain any specific details,
but you do know that there are other figures
moving throughout these halls ahead and beyond.
So we just need to find five individuals
inside of a massive complex that is many levels high.
Maybe we start by moving inward.
I mean, yeah.
Just keep moving towards the center, right?
They're at the middle. Yeah.
That's a start.
Okay. All right.
So the seven of you trudge inward,
still under the effect of seeming, if I recall.
Mm-hmm.
It lasts for... Are we?
Uh, let me see.
Yeah, because you could drop it if you wanted it to.
It's meaning it lasts for eight hours
and you were diminishing it.
But is it concentration?
It is not. It is just eight hours that it lasts.
That's amazing.
Anyone got a healing potion or anything I could use?
Did I look like a Ryloren flying around the sky
when I was an eagle?
Hmm.
When you transform into eagle form,
I'll say you're an eagle with a little Ryloren head.
Why not? It's fine.
Like a Bivik's glitch?
Just a floating head.
Just like you were a beetle,
a mini Ryloren beetle Caduceus.
Yeah. You know what that Caduceus face is.
It's like a red pterodactyl-ish.
Yeah, because the seaming doesn't change your form size,
but if your form changes, just parts of you then remain.
Yeah, not very convincing for some, I guess.
Weird ragdoll physics.
But you are clustered,
Ryloren adorned in the ways of a standard Ryloren
that you've encountered,
as well as some of the other denizens that you've met or seen upon arrival
on the exterior of Kraviris.
And charging down this hallway,
you see it begins to separate into a T-intersection
that continues onward.
It looks like a staircase that arcs out of view
into the right and left,
the hallways turning curve outward,
like a slight curvature.
And you can hear from the front
and from the right-hand side,
it sounds of shouting,
as well as just impact and people moving quickly.
So front means upstairs
and also down one passage of the T.
Mm-hmm.
Oh boy. Let's just keep moving forward.
I'm sure there's a lot of fights
happening in corridors through here.
Yeah.
Can we hear what kind of movement is happening?
Is it people panicking or less panicking?
Arch up.
Forward arch up.
Oh, I thought we were supposed to be going down!
Are we?
Isn't it down?
Do we remove? You have a keen mind, Caleb.
Which way, are we going up or down?
27.
Wait, I feel like Bell's house is going down.
I'm back. Okay.
Wait, we're not Bell's house?
Best that you could ascertain
based on discussions that you had with the Volition,
none of their figures have been truly
to the center of the Arx Creonum, the Pentathrone,
the location of where the Weave Mine
does the majority of their business remotely.
The best you know, it's probably towards the core
of the actual Arx Creonum itself.
You entered on the bottom side of it.
After the detonation caused a big portion of the collapse,
you had arrived where you were least visible upon approach,
then climbed up into it.
So you're likely towards the bottom area.
Yeah, who would you go up?
Would you say that with Keen Mind,
who knows what north is on Ruidus,
but if Caleb is oriented to going straight into this column,
that he would then be able to track direction?
I'd say with Keen Mind, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
And you rolled a 27.
It sounds like, to the right,
the shouts are from guttural voices,
non-Ryloran, not sounds of combat,
more just discussion.
Up above, you hear the sounds of conflict.
Interesting.
That means our soldiers are up there, right?
That means that there's fighting up there
and plotting down here.
We may want to maybe block our way up
so that whoever's actually not panicking
doesn't decide to head up and see what's happening.
If we can help it,
not let ourselves get drawn into any further
conflict ourselves until we get to the Big Bopper.
Your call.
Caduceus, our group's only Clara.
Can you pump a quick first-level healing into me or something?
How bad are you?
Just a little.
I think the whole group is probably
hurting some from that. Is that true?
Yeah, well, right.
I'm okay-ish.
Is everyone just a little bit? I'm down about 20 points.
I'm down about 50 points.
Do we have a second, or?
How much is a second? That's up to you.
I could do 10 minutes, or I could do really quick.
Oh, like a prayer of healing?
All right, so we'll do really quick.
That's a, I'm trying to remember.
Here we go. To be fair,
you are our tank, so.
Yeah, yeah.
Wait, it's Yasha, then.
Our other tank. Our babe.
Our babe.
Oh, it's Beau.
Yeah, I'm finding it.
An asshole.
She's so tough.
Beau's super tough. I mean, I'll take it, actually.
How many hit points do you have?
200, like, my max is way more of a tank than me.
My max is 199.
What? Oh.
Did you take tough?
All right, I'm going to do a mass healing word
really quick.
That's just 20 levels of love.
I think it's just 20 levels of me being a badass.
Yeah, I'll have to. It's not much,
but it'll put a little bit.
Yeah.
I don't have much.
Not much at all.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait.
Wait, wait, wait. Before you do it.
The walk sign is on.
No, it's not. Okay. I. Before you do it. The walk sign is on. No, a jaunt, okay.
I was thinking, what was that one that we have
that can make any healing you do does full healing?
What spell is that?
I know it.
That would be a feature, wouldn't it?
No, no, no, it's a spell.
A spell that you have to cast with another spell.
Like you, it's an aura spell.
Aura vitality. I don or Aura of Vitality?
I don't think I have that.
No, no. That's just one where you
just keep on doing heals every round.
No, it's Aura of...
That one's very high.
I didn't take it, doesn't matter.
I don't have it.
No, hold on.
I can do it.
That's why I usually save,
is because if you're at zero or unconscious,
I don't have to roll.
You just get a max. No, it's not a fucking feature!
It's a spell that anybody around you, it's like Holy Aura or something.
Oh, it might be Holy Aura.
No, Holy Aura is a high-level one.
This is a lore level one.
Aura of life? Aura of life, maybe.
It's not Aura of life.
This is just our whole table
in a little Shriner's car driving in a circle.
Yep.
Also, all these spells sound the same.
Holy Aura, Aura of Life, Vitality of Aura. You know, aura of life, vitality of aura. I have a call, aura of aura.
One of the aura of auras?
Only so many words in the thesaurus.
Yes.
I don't make fun of the things you say
when you're doing your thing.
I've written down what I can.
Okay, yeah.
This is not my part.
What's her thing?
I let these do the talking.
Okay, that's obscene.
You got five words. Oh no!
He's doing something!
There is an exterior smaller detonation,
either an additional assault or a delayed detonation
that causes the stronghold to shake
and for just a moment more,
you can have a bit of a shockwave and dust
push through the hall, giving your eyes for a minute
before that settles.
Eight points. That was eight for all of us?
Yep. All right, thank you.
Thank you, Caddy. Thank you, Deucey.
Eight to pass out between everybody?
No. No, eight to pass out.
One for you. One for you.
The whole 20's amazing.
Werther's?
Anyway, okay.
Call back.
Who is helming the search through these tunnels
towards where they think the Weave Mine might be,
and how are you planning to do so?
All right. I'll help with that.
I have a good investigation.
I have a very good investigation.
I just palm Veth's head out of the way.
That's better than yours.
Then take a head.
Well, then work with me.
Just keep up, you stubby little eggs.
Oh, really?
That's what we're doing?
Personal insults?
You can comment on my character,
but not on my looks.
Just hold me.
It's okay, Vav.
All right.
That's okay. Your character then.
That twiggy bitch called me.
You'll be okay.
Go help her out. It'll make your relationship is. Your character then. That Twinkie bitch called me! You know that! Go help her out.
It'll make your relationship stronger.
Let's investigate. All right.
All right. Take out my pickle jar.
Goddamn pickle jar.
Damn it!
Where's Topshif?
All right, so you can either both roll investigation
or one of you can roll with advantage.
Your call.
I'm rolling.
I'm rolling, too.
All right, both of you roll.
Who wins?
Audrey Gold.
Audrey Gold.
Oh no.
Total of?
I think I get that thing
where I can just take a 10 on anything.
You can, yeah.
So 25.
15. 15. I on anything. You can, yeah. So 25. 15.
15.
I rolled bad.
You did.
Okay.
There's an art to justice,
but it can't be done by luck alone.
My stubby fingers are waiting.
After, after.
Oh, okay, I'll just keep telling.
I'm keeping an eye around the bag.
I don't do this correctly.
Just to make sure we're not going to get surprised.
Understood.
Heading up the northern, I'd say,
or the front pathway and up the staircase,
it rounds twice, and keeping an eye out here, Veth,
with some help from your Scrumming Companion here,
as you put it.
Scrumming Companion.
You keep an eye of two things.
One, the pattern of architecture.
There are areas where things look smoother
and designed for function over aesthetic.
And you can see some places where the pillars,
like the lined decorative pillars
seem to be a little more dense,
and the presence of Ruidian glass veins
are more cultivated and carved into the decor.
Utilizing that pattern, you get the feel
that that likely leads towards something of importance.
So we follow the veins to the base.
Oh yeah, you're following where they seem
the most cultivated, carved, and most dense.
How do you do that, Yeza?
As you get up to a secondary floor,
you immediately hear probably a dozen or so footfalls,
and you watch as a group of armored Ryloren guardians,
like Arks Creonum guardians go rushing by,
massive juggernaut looming behind them,
all wearing long robes with gold filigree
that marks the outside of their mantles and armor.
They look like they're more interior guardians,
ones that probably are stationed closer
to more important things within the Stronghold.
As you all head to the top, most of them rush by and one of them turns towards you
and looks for who here in their illusion
is visually the most stationed.
The most stationed? Oh, that was Caleb,
because he could speak in his mind.
Yeah. Okay.
The one that's working, you see two of these
Ryloran guardians stay behind the rest of the group
as they rush past, with the one Djarganov behind
and turns to you and looks towards you.
In your mind, you hear, with a bit of a curiosity
that makes you immediately nervous,
that sweat begins to beat at the back of your neck,
you, where do you head?
We need bodies.
We are beset on all sides.
We are here to lend our aid, protect.
Then come with us to the front.
Make a deception check for me.
Ooh!
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
20.
20. 30, 20.
30, 20.
He glances towards you, gives a nod,
and then continues off in the direction
where the rest of the group went,
expectantly looking over its shoulder
for the rest of you to follow,
which is away from the direction
you're supposed to be going.
I run in place.
Backwards.
That's so fast! That's so fast!
That's so fast!
You know what? I would like a group deception check
as you all attempt to moonwalk your way
out of this moment.
Group deception. Oh, wow.
Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee.
Oh no!
Deception check? Oh, wait, I have advantage.
I have advantage on deception checks.
That's much better.
I don't. Oh no.
Okay, over here.
28. 28.
24.
24.
23.
23.
Three.
Caleb?
Why, you want one different than the 20?
This is different from convincing them that you're okay.
This is a group of stuff for you all to run backwards.
Oh no.
Oh, two, all right.
14.
That was a 24.
Okay.
Yeah, oh no.
Oh no.
17, how is this possible?
Five?
Oh no!
That didn't work.
That didn't work.
So as you guys are going to run backwards,
you see the juggernaut and the two
extraggling guardians,
the one that looked towards Caleb and spoke with you,
are running past.
They get about 30 feet down the hallway
before the one stops and turns and sees you all.
What's happening?
Cocks its head strangely
and then does a hand motion and points,
and the secondary Ryloran and the juggernaut,
three of them turn,
and they all come at a full sprint at all of you.
What are you doing?
Oh!
Should we turn and just book it?
Oh, they're going to follow us.
Will they?
We have to kill them.
Unless we have to.
Unless we have to. How many are there?
Three. There's one juggernaut
and two regular Rylorens.
We're just in an enclosed hall?
Yeah, it's about maybe 15, 20 feet from end to end.
Okay, okay, okay.
Stone, marble, pillars around.
No windows, no doors.
No windows. Except for where we came from.
Correct.
Actually, that offers you a challenge.
How long does it stay?
Should I charm them?
Charm them?
As you guys are running backward
and they're coming at you this direction,
you're heading backwards down the hallway,
you're backing into a T-intersection
where another hall leads into an upper staircase
that continues further up into the stronghold.
You're just now backing up into that intersection
as they're starting to gain on you.
What are you doing?
I will. Yo, go. are you doing? I will.
Yo, go.
Gesundheit.
I will take out a stick of incense
and make a distinct pattern on my hand
and I will cast Hypnotic Pattern.
Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay. That's good, that's good.
And you are filling the hallway ahead of them?
Yes.
All righty, let's see.
What is the DC on that?
17 wisdom.
17 wisdom. 17 wisdom, okay.
Okay.
Okay.
So, the juggernaut.
It is running faster than the other two
and is coming at you like a steaming freight train,
just before it stops suddenly.
Its dark, shark-like eyes go wide and blink
and it stands there in place,
reaching for something that's not there.
One of the other ones looks confused and rushes up
and then looks up, too, and stops and halts
and grabs its shoulder and starts reaching out as well.
The third one looks confused.
There are floating buttons, just shiny buttons.
Just flying little buttons going around.
The third one sees them doing this and is like,
the hell?
And smacks the shoulder of the one to the left
and is looking towards you
and is going to go ahead and come towards you.
So one of them was unaffected.
Okay.
And he's drawing this glass dagger out of his hand.
Is that helping? Is that helping?
How wide is the hallway?
About 20-ish feet.
So is the big guy blocking everybody?
He's not that wide. He's not that wide?
No.
Okay, I'm going to use Command
on the guy who's getting past.
Okay, what are you committing him to do?
Trip.
Okay. However.
That's going to be a failure on his wisdom save.
So he falls over onto the ground.
All the other two stand there.
So he is now tripped for a round.
Didn't go down the stairs, damn.
No, this is a hallway.
Oh, it's a hallway? Yeah.
Okay, I'm just really quickly going to.
We're going upstairs.
He's got a weapon or something?
Yeah, he's pulling out a glass dagger.
Okay, I'm going to, do we have time to grab the?
We have one round. We have one round.
That was mine. Grab the dagger and knock him out.
Someone go grab a dagger!
I'll grab his dagger.
Wait, why am I grabbing this dagger?
It's cool. He can't stab us!
I'll grab his dagger!
Okay, so you dart up. He's on the ground.
You're going to try and pull the dagger from him.
That's going to be a contested strength roll.
Yeah, okay.
Go ahead and roll.
He can't be that strong, right?
Oh no. Oh no.
That's a face. Face, face.
That's a 20.
15.
That's a natural 19.
Oh!
You each grab the dagger and as you pull upward,
he comes with it and gets right up in your face.
Yeah!
Like this horrid growl from the sharpened rows of teeth.
I turn and knock him out.
Inflict wounds.
Oh, okay.
Inflict wounds?
Third level. Third level.
Go ahead and roll an attack.
Oh god.
The other two will stay like that for a minute,
unless we hit them.
I know, I know.
Ah!
13.
13 will not hit, unfortunately.
Fucking hell, I'm rolling like shit!
Yasha, braid him!
I'm not trying! Come on. I'm rolling like shit! Yasha, brain him!
I'm not trying!
Come on.
I'm just going to bonk.
Or maybe, I'm going to hit attack.
You're at advantage.
You're at advantage. Oh wow.
He's prone, so you have advantage on the roll.
That's really, really high, but let me see.
Okay, almost the same.
30.
Yay.
By the way, because he is prone on the ground,
your spell attack, which is a melee spell attack,
would have been advantage as well.
So roll again. Oh, yes.
Oh, please be good. Because he didn't tell him to trip.
Wow. I tried.
Don't roll that ace. I tried.
The same roll. Yeah.
I tried.
Dice, don't lie.
Dice, don't lie.
Rolled it. I dropped it on a one there.
I'm just trying to knock him out. Everything's gone.
All you use is suck.
Get better.
Am I killing him or am I just knocking him out?
Kill him. Kill him!
Whatever. All right.
I'm glad I didn't get to that.
Sorry, I can't think tonight.
Or ever.
Okay, let's see.
Wait, am I still raging?
Yeah. It's up to you.
You can hold your rage as long as you want to.
I can? Great, I'm still raging.
Okay, okay.
So that first hit was?
After a one.
Seven.
At 20 plus 1d8 from Scaldsaber.
One, one. Another one.
Okay, that's seven.
One, one.
One, one.
Two, two.
Kind of what I was hoping it would. 30. Your friends will. One-one. One-one. Two-two. Kind of what I was hoping would.
30. Floor four.
30 and Divine Fury.
Did you roll to hit?
So I rolled a 30 to hit.
Yeah, definitely hit. Okay, okay.
So you can only do damage on that.
So.
See, everyone but Caduceus gets one round
and then we're going to roll initiative.
So 41 points of damage.
41 points of damage to that first hit, okay.
Okay.
The heavy smash.
Still holding the dagger and getting up,
has gotten up to one knee.
It's still prone, but it's in the process of getting up.
Still holding on, but looking pretty hurt.
Okay, I'll take my second hit.
Kill it!
That is...
22?
22 hits. Okay.
So I'll take this. Knock at the Divine Fury, death hit. Oh, that is Okay. So I'm going to do this.
Knock at the Divine Fury, death hits.
Oh, that is crazy. Do you get to re-roll those or no?
I don't think I get to roll ones.
Okay, so that'll be
15 points of damage.
All right, 15 points of damage.
Okay, second hit impacts extremely hurt
and is now like, you see the second hit,
the dagger almost drops out of its grip.
It looks like it's looking a bit panicked in the eyes
and its aggressive stance is now turning
into offensive physicality.
Firebolt.
Firebolt, go ahead and roll.
Is it an advantage because they're down?
Well, it's a ranged attack,
so that would be disadvantage, actually.
So disadvantage, okay.
Okay, that's fine.
That is 22 to hit.
That'll hit, go ahead and roll damage.
Okay, I'm conserving my energy. Good for you!
What a good spellcaster you are.
Shut up, baby, I know it.
21 points of fire damage. Okay.
He gets to his feet and goes running back
towards his other companions,
and you can see he's concentrating his mind
on his companions that are currently still reaching
for the mystical buttons before all of a sudden
is engulfed in flames and slams and skids in the ground,
just incendiaries, burning to death
in front of his two friends
who aren't even paying attention.
That's dark.
But you have less than a minute.
Let's go! Let's go, let's go, let's go!
Grab the knife, I have a funny feeling.
Okay, I grab the knife.
Okay, you go up and grab the glass blade
and then head up down the staircase to the next floor.
You're heading up there again,
and you hear a bit of rumble
and the ground moves a bit.
The elements of this stronghold
definitely took some damage,
sustained some structural damage on the assault.
And you can hear the distant sound of
bits of it still breaking away on the exterior.
You head up on this floor and you can still note,
as you have been, Veth, that the architecture here,
now the archers are getting higher in these hallways
and the pillars are now starting to incorporate
carved pillars of the prime pillar glass itself.
Parts of the halls themselves are just
weirdly pockmarked bits of smoothed,
ruidine glass with a strange,
that odd pulsing energy vibe
just streaking through as you go.
As you move past it, are you leading the group?
Yes, I am!
I need you to make a wisdom saving throw.
Oh boy!
At advantage, because we had a hero's feast.
You're totally right.
Take that first one.
21.
21.
You move past the glass,
and there's this weird fuzzy static sensation
that seemed to come over your mind for a second
as you blink, your eyes shift.
And you're standing in the hallway with your friends,
but there's almost a ghostly image of a figure
drifting in the air not far from you.
It seems to be searching,
almost like it's sensed itself
and is pushing itself to apparate
and look throughout this space.
This looks like a floating Ryloran,
but it is long and stretched,
and it's adorned in dense robes
that dangle and flow beneath it.
It seems to just glide through the air.
A massive armored mantle and headpiece
looks ceremonial and functional together
with a strange constructed series
like symbols and designs, both on the helmet
and from a backward plate that rises up past its shoulders.
And it just ghostly drifts there for a second,
reaching out to try and connect with your mind.
And you just manage to push it out
and it drifts from your periphery,
but it gives you the sense that you're getting closer
to your target.
And the last thing you hear is just glancing off your mind,
huh, visitors.
Uh-oh.
Who? Uh-oh.
As we come up, Cura Wounds!
I'm going to First-Level Cura Wounds you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
They're trying to get into our brains.
Who is susceptible to brain shit?
I mean, Caleb.
Yasha's on a thing.
I'm okay, I've got a thing on.
Because I can give someone a thing.
Thank you so much.
What's the thing?
Protection against psychic damage.
Can I do it myself?
Let's go.
It's like damage.
Huh, it protects against psychic damage.
Probably Caleb would be the one that would need it.
Aren't you protected already?
I am protected. Oh, you are protected.
I took care of Yasha, and I'm not.
I could do myself, or I could do somebody else.
A cleric, perhaps?
Yeah.
I've got good wisdom, so yes.
I also have good wisdom.
This is still on the move, right?
We haven't? Yeah, we're moving.
Yeah, we're going.
Moving in a different way, yeah.
I want to use it on somebody.
What about Fjord? How high is your wisdom? I have a plus 10 to saving throws.
Oh, that's good.
That was a plus 10.
What's up?
I'll just do it on me. I have plus seven.
Do it on you.
Guttural growling sound,
and what sounds like streaking claws or blades or nails
being pulled across like a chalkboard-type sensation
is moving rapidly in succession.
Rushing around one of the nearby hallway intersections,
you watch as these two massive, dark armored-skin,
feline-like entities, almost like,
you can't tell if it's more dog or cat-like,
but they're muscular and elongated,
and they're charging and rushing through.
Where there would be a head,
you just see the shoulders
and what looks like a mouth
that's buried in the torso.
They both crawl through.
It looks like they're slipping on the ground itself
with the sheer volume of intensity that they're hunting.
They both just go charging through the hall
in your direction, what do you do?
Oh no.
Ball bearings.
Good idea. Wait, get across the hall,
and then.
Okay. Make an initiative roll for me.
This is just you.
See if they're able to get to you
before you can leave them prepared this way.
Nice.
I'm over Beauregard's shoulder,
ready to act if the ball bearings do not go as planned.
Okay. Okay.
23.
23, 17 on their end.
So as they're running,
you watch as they're not necessarily focused on you,
they're just charging down the hall,
and one of them opens its mouth
and its tongue whips around like it's tasting the air,
and then it shifts slightly
to begin going straight at your troop.
You all dart across this intersection
to the opposite side of the hall
as you throw the remainder of your ball bearings.
How many do you have?
Well, I have a bag of 1,000.
And then, so I imagine maybe I used half before.
So 500 ball bearings.
Yeah, feeding the birds.
Okay. Maybe 500.
Feed the birds.
I feel so bad. All right. So as both of these come charging in your direction 100. Feed the birds. Pop the food.
All right.
So as both of these come charging in your direction
and you just scatter the rest of your ball bearings
across the ground here.
It's the best item in the game.
Yeah. It's pretty great,
but now it's spent.
So just mark that.
Natural 10, nope.
Natural seven, nope.
Both of them skid underneath and slam on the ground and continue to skid past and further down the hallway.
Like arms up in the air,
trying to grab for whatever they can
while they're both just skidding along.
I light one up as it passes me by.
Go ahead and roll an attack. Okay.
That is a 24 to hit.
Yeah, I'll Sacred Flame it.
One of the other ones. Nice.
Natural 17, this is dexterity? Yeah. Dexterity Flame it. One, the other one. Nice.
Natural 17, this is dexterity?
Yeah. Dexterity, yeah.
That'll be a 22.
Of course, because I suck at everything.
Duh, duh, duh. No!
Laura.
Laura Bailey.
But I hit and do 23 points of fire.
Okay, good enough.
Okay.
As far as she's gone downhill in the activity.
As you head across the way to the hall,
you see, as you head downward,
it just continues on for a bit,
and you can see a bit of light at the end,
a light that is similar to what you arrived from,
meaning you are coming to a point
where the hallway itself is a collapsed
and exposed portion of the Arx Creonum.
There is a staircase to the right that you see immediately
that heads upward, and you continue up that way.
Just as you all step out from that point,
you are now in a partially exposed part
of the exterior of the Arx Creonum.
You're on the upper floor now,
further up than you were.
But you're looking out now,
from a higher position,
the exterior, the stronghold portion of it
collapsed and fallen.
You can see those two towers
that were set on two parts
of the battlements just outside of where you are.
One of them is partially broken and being held
ever so slightly with its base right there.
The other one's still shooting upward to an upper level
with a secondary balcony platform that sits above
that has a massive crack and parts of it
that are hanging and about to tumble from underneath.
As you all step out onto that space,
seeing the various flying vesicles darting around,
snatching what looks like other soldiers
and other members of the attacking forces
that are also clambering up
and following up the cables that they can.
You can see one vesicle comes flying by
as two figures on it are battling on its mounted space
and it goes slamming into the ground
before catching itself out of sight.
And right around this point, another explosion
rocks from below and the hallway that you're on
begins to crumble.
Uh-oh.
I need everyone to make a dexterity saving throw.
Oh boy.
If you're within 10 feet of me,
you get plus five to your dexterity saving throw.
You're all pretty closely clustered, so.
Plus five, you said?
Plus five.
Maybe it's advantage on dex?
I do not get advantage on dex.
I have a weird green thing,
but I don't think it means anything.
Aw, a natural 20.
Oh, plus three on?
Dirty 20.
Dirty 20, just nice.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
That doesn't, does that count? Shit.
It left, okay.
All right. Shit.
Dirty 20. Natural 20.
I failed with an 11, I assume,
but I'm going to use my Ring of Evasion
to auto-succeed one charge on that ring.
All right. 23.
All right. 12.
Okay. One.
Okay.
Dirty 20.
Ooh! Okay. Okay. As you all. Dirty 20. Ooh! Okay.
As you all switch back to head in the direction
that you rushed from on the lower floor
to head deeper into and away from the exposed,
war-torn exterior of the stronghold,
that explosion rocks it for a second
and the ground cracks.
It doesn't give way.
And you all hold on for a second
and then feel comfortable before the shadow
begins to grow darker around you
and you realize that one massive pillar
that was barely holding on,
it's collapsing over in your direction.
Majority of you dart down the hall just to the way.
However, it slams into the ground,
sending debris flying outward in all directions,
not crushing your companions,
but Caduceus and Jester,
who are just outside of its crushing space,
get completely ransacked with a number of pieces
of flying debris and stone and glass shards,
both of you taking 14 points of piercing damage.
Aw.
Just healed myself!
Flying out the edge.
No. Okay.
Wait, you rolled a one, right?
Mm-hmm.
As it slams down, Jester takes the hit from the side,
but manages to catch up with the rest of you.
From your perspective, with the pillar slammed,
you do not see where Caduceus is.
Did I see Caduceus as he was?
Did I see it from when I jumped?
You both tried to, you saw it falling,
and you rushed, you get blasted with it.
You catch yourself, the dust settles,
and you turn, and you do not see Caduceus.
Did we see Caduceus go flying
or just disappear under rubble?
You just saw the pillar slam and he's not there.
Caduceus! I'm going to run over
and try to start looking.
Caduceus! Can I look over the edge?
Yeah, I'm over the edge of the wall.
The pillar's on the opposite side of you.
So it's like, where you rushed inward
to deeper into the citadel,
the pillar slammed and closed off the path outward.
So you're not certain.
You can try and climb over it.
You can try and climb over it.
I'm going to scramble up and try.
I want to make sure that he's not hurtling down.
Same.
All right.
So Caduceus, make a strength saving throw for me,
if you don't mind.
I'll be fine.
He's been doing great.
We all knew the risks.
Let's keep going.
Strength saving throw, huh?
Yes. Fuck.
12. 12?
Okay, okay.
You guys all clamber up over the broken parts
of this column, just enough to look over to the side
where the portion of the ground
that was in the brink of collapse is about to collapse.
And there on the opposite side,
just barely clutching onto the end,
his fingers slipping, is Caduceus.
Let me grab, I'm going to grab him.
I'm going to mutter an arcane word
and cast Telekinesis and grab Caduceus
and just lift up. Okay.
Caduceus has never been this light.
As you reach over and grab and lift him up.
The fuck?
He keeps going up and keeps going up.
Every time.
Every time we get together.
It wasn't the ball bearings, was it?
No.
Thank god. All right, let's go.
This is already so stressful!
Last time there was a death.
We killed a guy.
I forgot to use Circle of Mortality,
and not that, Keeper of Souls.
I would love to really quickly just vague retcon
and give however many hit dice
that character had into.
Six hit points.
It was six? Or six hit dice, yeah.
So you get six. Six points to you.
Oh, great. Sure you do.
Thank you.
So with that, you pick him back up
and leave him over to the other side,
landing as you do.
In the moment, thanks to your Seeming spell
that still holds up, it looks like you have not yet
drawn the attention of any of the other flyers
and people that are engaged in defending the battlements
at the exterior of the Arx Creonum.
So you head back into the core of the stronghold.
Back into the long hallways,
the smooth marble floors themselves
somewhat cracked and adjacent.
You see elements of what once was beautifully carved
and polished ground before you
that's broken and jutting up in places.
The hallways are partially collapsed on one side.
You can see the veins of the prime pillars,
Ruidian glass, growing more and more dense
the further in you get until eventually
the walls are almost equal parts,
just darkened Ruidian stone,
red dust-packed sandstone sort of material,
and alternating with the faintly glowing
and pulsing teal green Ruidian glass.
Almost like this weird patterned tunnel
the further down you go.
Each time you pass through one,
that weird static begins to settle in.
Yeah, I would like a group wisdom saving throw.
Yeah. Plus five. You all do have advantage. Um, yeah, I would like a group wisdom saving throw.
Ah!
Plus five.
You all do have advantage.
I would mind blank.
Plus five. Knock this out for me.
What the fuck?
Let me check.
Caleb slash Yasha.
Both Caleb and Yasha are immune to this, so.
Oh, that's great.
It's the you.
But the rest of you.
Okay, okay, Fjord.
Fjord. Okay.
I think he's looking it up.
Two.
32.
32? 30.
30? The dirtiest of 20s.
I knew it.
19. 19. I knew it. Still 30. Beau? 19. Nice, babe.
Fjord? 22.
22.
That strange buzzing boundary,
that invisible pattern of mental static
that seems to pass with each one of these dense portions
of Ruidian glass,
you all just hold your sense of self close to you and close off the rest of your mind
best as you can.
And with each passing pattern,
you can feel on the periphery of your vision,
just shadows, shapes of figures that are just waiting,
looking, seeking, sensing, and not quite able to grasp
who and what you are in the moment.
But it seems everywhere you turn,
wherever a bit of the light seems to fade,
you swear for a moment,
you can see another one of these floating shadow entities
and they're getting closer.
I cast Intellect Fortress on myself.
Okay. Ooh.
Just to protect against more psychic things.
You got it.
We're getting closer, aren't we?
How much further does it look like we have?
You're not certain,
because now we're going to go into the next portion
of Searching Throughout.
Who is helming this leg of looking for you?
I will, since I saw Veth waver for a moment
because of this fuckery going on from the Weavemines. Okay.
What are you planning to do to help you search through?
What are you looking for? What are you feeling?
I'm going to use my spatial awareness
of where we are to try to go more central
inside of this giant pillar.
Okay. I want to dig in deeper.
I would say for this,
it would be either investigation or survival, your call.
100 gold says he does well on this check.
Beau. 100 gold, I does well on this check. Beau.
Huh? 100 gold,
I'm betting on this ability check.
Oh wait, we got a running tally.
I'm a little bit in debt, I think.
What the fuck is an investment?
She also bullied the fuck out of me
before threatening to kill my girlfriend.
Yeah, we need to be saving money right now.
That's true, we're thinking of adopting.
Well, Matthew, it's a one.
You owe me $100! Fuck!
Goddamn it, Caleb, you fucked me!
See, this is the kind of betting, though,
that I think is great.
Helpful at all.
There's no pockets in your burial shroud,
just trying to remember.
You all, following Caleb's lead,
heading down this hallway,
the Ruidian glass begins to give way
to a brass-patterned,
metallic shell of an arched hallway,
which you're like,
this is a grandiose presentation to it.
It definitely has, this probably leads to something
of equal prestige.
It begins to head up and up and up,
and there is a door there,
like a large metal gate-like door
that you go to see if it's locked,
but it is partially open.
It looks like there was some sort of locking mechanism
that is broken, not necessarily forcefully,
but the actual mooring of the door has been adjusted
in the impact of the recent assault on the Creonim itself.
Right at that point, the door opens up,
as you see one, three, six,
12 of these red, armor-skinned creatures,
six, 12 of these red, armor-skinned creatures,
these orb-like entities with scales
and a singular, central, burning yellow eye in the middle,
rows of teeth, and they like
like a swarm of them,
each about maybe three feet in diameter
from down this hallway that look like
they are free and hungry,
and all look at you from behind the doorway.
I will use telekinesis to move 1,000 pounds of weight
and shut the door, if possible.
Okay, what thousand pounds is coming from what?
I don't know how much the doors weigh.
The door itself? I'm just trying to do,
you said it was slightly ajar,
so I'm trying to just go.
Okay.
The door,
you push it back into place,
and it grinds and on the ground.
It's not fitting perfectly,
but that might be to your advantage.
At that point, the rest of you see
all the entities behind it
are now forcing their way and impacting.
You hear the sound of scraping and scratching,
like they're trying to burrow their way and impacting. You hear the sound of scraping and scratching, like they're trying to burrow their way
through this door or its surrounding material.
Is there anything to?
Capestone or something?
We're going to push up against it
and help Caleb take the time
until we figure out. Is there anything around
to put in front of the door to block it?
It looks like this hallway just comes to this point.
This is where these were kept
or wherever they were deeper inside,
they've been freed and are now trying to escape. Does it look like it would break through? Do we need to get through there this is where these were kept, or wherever they were deeper inside, they've been freed and are now trying to escape.
Does it look like it would break through?
Do we need to get through there, or is this?
So it's 1,000 pounds. Yeah.
With your help on this.
Okay.
I mean, there's no save for material, right?
So it's just the duration of the spell?
Can I help Yasha also push?
Extra strength.
Extra strength?
So strong. So strong.
So here's what I'm going to do.
I'm going to do.
I'm going to make a roll for them
based on the DC of what you're doing.
The DC of you already holding this with Telekinesis
is going to put it at a 20, I'll say 24.
Then with each of you helping,
that'll increase it to a 26, I'll say.
Okay.
So I'm rolling this
with all of them putting their weight behind it,
and it is a bunch of these creatures.
And there are, I can see about a dozen or so of them
at about three foot behind,
and they're all telekinetically floating,
all just like slamming into it
and trying to push through.
I put them in a total of plus eight,
so they're going to have to roll pretty high on this.
Which they do not with a natural two.
Yes!
So it's holding for the time being.
You don't know how long it'll hold,
but you can either continue to hold that with telekinesis,
you can try and relinquish it and head backward.
What do you plan to do?
Do we have to get through there?
We do not know.
Wait, so we walked up to this door?
Correct.
Went in and then closed it? Correct.
Now the rest of you,
you've been following a pattern
of more Morawydian glass,
but this path seems to have less and less of it.
So maybe we went the wrong way.
Maybe we turn and go another direction?
I want to make a quick perception check in the room
to see if we're being misled.
We're in a hallway.
You're in a hallway that sets of stairs,
but the material that this hallway's made out of
has gone to more of a darker brass material.
But there's no obvious hidden door or anything like that.
Did we run past a splinter?
Make a perception investigation.
Hallway?
Where you were below,
there were numerous other hallways and splinters, but
investigation, not perception.
Use his awesome spatial awareness with a one
to go inward.
All right, I try this.
Nope.
My investigation already sucks,
but it's good to get that one out of my system.
Let's go back, right?
Yeah, let's go backwards. Right, another way.
Find another path. Find another way.
Okay.
So you head back down.
They're going to try again.
Natural one.
All right, so for the time being, they're held.
You all trek back down to where you've last splintered off
to this path that led you astray.
I'm going to lift a bunch of the stone that collapsed
and try to just block the path that we came out of.
Okay, so that'll take you a moment,
but you begin to manipulate and shift over
all these large clusters of collapsed stone
from nearby parts of damaged hallway and ceiling,
which there are a number of pieces of debris
that you can go ahead and manipulate.
While that's happening, who else is helming
to try and find the right path deeper into this?
Fjord, navigate us through this.
You're our captain.
On the moon?
Yeah!
It's a moon question.
These skills translate.
He's an admiral now.
Yeah, I'll try and-
Space admiral.
I believe in you, sir.
Space admiral.
You're the most.
Yep.
I will look.
How did that only hit you?
Okay, yeah.
Okay, so you're just trying to look for patterns
to lead you deeper into it?
Yep. Okay.
Make a perception or investigation check.
Your call. Guidance.
500 gold says he fails. I guide him.
What is guidance?
Get plus four.
Plus a d4.
D4.
Slap on the butt.
Yeah, heck yeah.
I pinch his butt for guidance. 500 gold says he fails. 34. Slap on the butt. Yeah, heck yeah, I pinch his butt for guidance.
500 gold says he fails.
34.
Oh fuck.
You never take it! You never take it!
No, no, no.
Veth, you need to keep to your gambling.
Yeah, I got it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Your bets, you're getting stiff.
You're getting pretty high here.
Central Ninja Gameplay is for real.
Although she's waiting around little bookies.
I know.
You're going to advise her?
So Fjord, as you all head down,
you can see there are numerous hallways that splinter off.
Other soldiers begin to rush past.
Other Ruidian guardians are now moving out
from deeper into these tunnels.
You all step off to the side and let them move past
without directly running in the opposite direction of them
to cause their attention.
Nick, waiting for that moment to break in that pattern,
you go ahead and take the group
and then head down a separate path.
This one now, the hallways grow wider.
The rooting glass archways are more and more intricate.
And you can see, have metallic rings placed in sections.
And once again, that
that static passes over you
each time you push through.
You've already tuned your minds
to try and not be affected at the moment,
but those shadowy forms that drift
on the periphery of your vision,
every time you focus on something,
you see it drift just on the edge of your horizon.
As you look, it's gone, and then feel it over here.
And they're getting more and more present,
to the point where you start feeling this odd,
like funny bone-like vibration within your body.
Something within your spine, your neck,
and the back of your head is feeling slightly fizzy.
Eventually, this hall opens into a large antechamber.
You can see this negative pyramid space
that comes to a point.
Up above it, you can see beautiful reliefs
and these designs and shapes that speak to
a series of historical images,
though they are now cracked and sections of it have fallen
and broken in and leave piles of debris around,
none of which is familiar to you at all.
But on the far end of this negative pyramid space,
there are two large doors at one of the opening points
that are both open, like double doors, and from the inside,
you can see quite a strong teal glow
that emanates from within.
Just from one of them?
From both of them. Oh, from both.
That's promising.
Just really quick, I don't want to take time,
but can I just glance at this mural, this relief,
and see if I can glean any type of information?
Is it a founding myth? What is it?
At a quick glance, sure.
Make an investigation check or a history check.
Come on, Cobalt Soul.
Ruidian cheat code in glyphs.
Guidance.
Feature.
I pinched your butt.
I pinched your butt. Ooh! Ooh!
Let's go, nerd.
What the fuck, what the fuck?
Guidance.
Fuck!
Sorry, I distracted you. 22.
I was trying to help. 22's good.
22 is good, but my history is plus 16.
Pinching everyone's bottoms.
Pinch your butt.
At this brief moment where it seems like
the rumbling of the Arx Creonum has stabilized
from how deep you are within it,
you look upon the ceiling and you can see
images that seem to correlate to a pale blue
celestial object that you quickly
have disordained to be Exandria.
And it looks like this is a reverse celestial calendar
in places where instead the time is kept
by the position of Catha and Exandria
in the Ruidian sky.
From that, you also see things that depict
the core of this.
As it goes down to the sedentary layers of its history,
you can see the reliefs that are meant to,
and actually used, like Ruidian glass to show it,
but are carved to show the core itself reaching out
like the branches of a tree.
And the deeper down it goes,
there's almost a golden color
that goes to a white or silver at the edges.
And everything seems to be like it is expressing
an outward interest, something of moving beyond,
reaching upward.
There's no real text.
It just looks like a lot of intent to be free.
Okay, okay.
Cool.
These doors don't look promising.
We should go down and keep looking.
What are you talking about? It's glowing teal!
That's never good.
I vote we leave now.
It's going to glow a color.
This is a nice one. I really don't like
these old guys.
Is it two sets of double doors or just double doors?
There are two sets of double doors.
At the far end, there are- The one on the right.
It looks like there is almost like where two tunnels
escape from this reverse pyramid antechamber.
It looks like there are two doors
on opposite sides of a heavy corner
that both lead into the same chamber,
and both of them are open.
Not intentionally open, but partially open
in a strong teal glow from the inside.
We go to the set of double doors on the right-hand side
and slice the pie as we look in,
barely revealing ourselves as we look around the edge.
We're just going to toss in,
while Beauregard was studying the wall,
Caleb held a pearl to Jester's forehead
and cast Fortune's Favor on you,
so you have one reroll at some point.
That's really useful. Thank you.
That's really useful. Thank you. That's really useful.
She's eating a pastry.
Uh-huh, I can be. You want some?
Will I also sound sarcastic if I eat it?
Yeah. That's pretty cool, yeah.
What do we see when we serve that?
That's pretty cool, yeah.
As you peek around through this entryway,
first off, the light is pulsing,
not dissimilar to the pattern of pulsing
that you see throughout the prime pillar exterior,
but here it is quite vibrant.
Glancing inside, immediately to your left
and near the doorway, you see
some sort of a stair-stepped construct
with what looks to be a massive arch,
a singular arch of mostly carved or shaped Rudian glass
that itself is glowing in a pattern,
almost like a massive horseshoe that is 20, 25 feet tall.
You can't even quite see the apex of it
beyond where you stand looking through this open doorway.
Beyond that, you can see the chamber
spreads out before you with raised areas
that look to be some small bridges that head to an upper platform that you can't quite chamber spreads out before you with raised areas that look to be some small bridges
that head to an upper platform.
You can't quite make out the details from where you stand,
but this looks like a larger chamber within.
That static sound, that
feeling itself is now ever-present.
I think we're here.
Do we see any signs of Weavemind?
Make a perception check.
The Weavemind, man. I'll assist you.
Assist? I'll pinch your butt.
Ah!
Stop touching other people's butts so much.
It helps them, it makes them feel good.
Ooh, that one did do good.
What was it, perception, you said?
24. 24.
You see no sign of the Weavemind.
You see no other entities in there.
It's just a barren chamber.
Looking past, you could see there are other,
as you focus around with that glance through there,
you can see there are rich veins
of exposed Ruidian glass
that punch out from the ground
and are built along its base
to blend in with the surrounding architecture,
but they themselves pulse in the same pattern.
Beyond that, you can see there are full pillars
of Ruidian glass that also pulse and glow
in the same pattern that rise up to the top of the ceiling.
I know this is not going to do anything,
but I'm just going to burn an ice to the grave,
because why not?
Ice to the grave, which does?
Let's me know if there's any undead within 60 feet.
Fair. Just because, why not?
No worries, you do not sense any undead.
All right.
Yeah, I wanted to give that.
Scritch sprinkle on my shoulder.
I'm getting really nervous, you guys.
That's fair.
I think this is it.
But I just don't see them in there,
but I'm sure they're there.
Should we spread out so we're not?
Yeah, don't punch up.
Could I pull out Star Razor
and I will cast See Invisibility?
Sure.
Beau, do you mind throwing the dagger?
You're looking in there as well?
Make a perception check.
450 gold.
Excuse me, butt pinch.
Pinch, pinch, pinch. Thank you.
A double pinch. Fine.
Right in the gooch.
A thousand.
Certain relationship.
A thousand gold says one of us dies here.
2,000 if it's me.
19. 19, okay.
So as you pull Star Razor ahead
and you cast the spell itself,
the beautiful, sweet smell of fresh ocean spray
coming into your nostrils, your eyes crystallize, and within the pulsing glow
of the energy throughout this rudean glass,
the structures within,
you go from seeing nothing in the chamber
to two figures that have been masked by some power,
are currently focused on one of these
multiple pillars of rudean glass
just hovering next to it.
We are in the pillars.
Just floating just beyond it,
but focused on it.
And you see with it pulsing,
the same energy pulses around them,
and you see them concentrating on these things.
They may be concentrating on the things
we were getting bombarded at with this box.
Yeah.
Are we seeing the wizard?
Well, we're not seeing anything.
He's seeing it, right? These two guys
are focused on a single pillar?
What do they look like?
What you see is a
a Ruidian-type physicality.
It's stretched.
Their limbs, their arms, their fingers,
what bit of the legs you can even see on one of them
that dangle from these long robes
that just kind of drift in the air,
hanging from their heavily dressed body.
You can see these kind of pale gray and gold robes,
multiple layers of it that come to a point in the center.
Looks like metallic long bands
of ornamental outfit decor around them.
This multiple patterned mantle of gold and brass metals
that have all manner of runes and various symbols
carved throughout these large points
that jut out from the center of the mantle
where the head is set.
And what little, you can see facets
of the Ruidian red skin between their bracers
and their armor, where it is withered and wrinkled.
And where their head crest is,
and it is a very long head crest
that winds out into multiple carved points, a heavily patterned and kind of chain-dangling helmet, more or less, or a mask kind of sits on top of their helmet and crest, there are different symbols, like large structures.
One you can see has almost like a crescent moon with a smaller circle within, and a larger kind of echo of that symbol pattern that kind of emerges from the back of its mantle.
The one beyond that you can see that's kind of a little further into the chamber, focusing on another piece of crystal. Seems to have almost a curved hourglass-esque type shape.
They look ornamental,
and differentiating what would otherwise be,
from your perspective, fairly identical-looking entities.
And they're each focused on a different crystal.
Yeah, from the two that you can see,
are focused on different crystals.
Only Fjord sees.
Only Fjord sees them.
And the minute you see them,
the one turns its head and you hear in your mind,
Welcome.
Do you wish to come converse a bit?
They are talking to me.
In my mind.
You glance back in the room,
and the other one's not looking at you as well.
They're looking at me.
They're asking if we want to come converse.
Tell them no, tell them to suck it.
I mean, is there any reason not to have a talk?
Where in the room are they?
They're on the pillar.
How many pillars are in the room?
Half dozen, dozen?
Five. Five.
Five. From what you can see in here?
From your, you're just looking through an open doorway.
You can see there's a large arch
and you can see on the far end of the room,
there is an elongated pillar.
There is a small cluster of Ruidian crystal as well
that juts from the ground.
That's about all you can make out of it.
Maybe a little bit of an upper platform area
towards the back where you can see another section,
but that's about all you can make out of it. Maybe a little bit of an upper platform area towards the back where you can see another section, but that's about all you can make out
from where you currently stand.
I'd rather know more now
than make the assumption that where we are
is where we can find any kind of movement.
Tell them to come in here if they want to talk.
I'd like some visibility.
Yeah, maybe just be like,
hey, what are you doing?
What are you guys doing?
Yeah.
Please, no. Hey! No one you doing? What are you guys doing? Yeah. Please. No. Hey!
No, he doesn't.
Hey, you guys.
I think we might be beyond the point of conversing,
unless you wanted to step outside.
A third one drifts in, looking at you.
There's three, three, not two bogeys.
They all float in there in space.
You hear three voices in your mind go,
We insist.
Make a strength saving throw for them.
A strength saving throw?
Yeah. They're about to force pull your ass.
Woo-hoo!
He's strong. Don't worry. He's so strong.
He's been working don't worry. He's so strong. He's been working out.
Six.
12.
No!
The rest of you watch as Fjord.
It's drain saving throw. Yes.
Sorry.
A less.
14.
Show him what you're better at.
I've been waiting for this,
so if I see his body jerk,
do I have the ability to try to tug-a-war them?
If you'd like to, yeah. Yeah.
So you all watch as Fjord suddenly,
like, feet skidding and slipping on the ground,
just all of a sudden starts being pulled
towards the entryway.
This is a contested roll.
Go ahead and roll a d20 and add your spell ability.
Modifier, yeah.
So just add your intelligence modifier. That does, yeah. So just add your intelligence modifier.
That does, what is that?
Oh, natural 20.
Natural 20 for a total of?
25.
25, okay.
That's interesting.
You both got the same number.
They didn't roll a natural 20,
but they have a higher modifier than you.
You both got 25.
So Fjord slides into the doorway
and is now just being held there
and being pulled in two different directions. Oh! Fjord? I'm how far away? Fjord slides into the doorway and is now just being held there and being pulled in two different directions.
Oh!
Fjord?
I'm how far away?
Fjord? How far?
Yes.
Make a constitution saving throw for me.
How far away are they?
Because you are being pulled apart right now
from two massive psychic forces.
He's not close enough to tap, is he, or no?
If you want to.
I was going to give him a little tap for resistance
and cast resistance. Okay, well, first, we'll get to that him a little tap for resistance and cast resistance.
Okay, well, first, we'll get to that in a second.
This is happening really fast.
You're now moving forward to do this.
So first we'll see how much damage he takes
if he rolls this.
31.
31, okay.
So you only take six points of bludgeoning damage
as your body is now being ripped apart from the inside on both points.
Roughly how far inside this room are they?
The one that's closest to you is about
40-ish feet.
40-ish feet? It's close.
Could I, as I'm getting,
fuck this, I'm going to try and cast
Faerie Fire inside the room.
Oh, nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sure, sure. I was hoping and cast Faerie Fire inside the room. Oh, nice. Yeah. Sure, sure.
I was hoping someone had Faerie Fire.
Faerie Fire. Faerie Fire.
One of the best spells. Faerie Fire.
Faerie Fire.
Okay, so 20-foot cube on him.
Yeah, 60 feet.
Yep.
Dexterity saving throw. Natural 20 on the dexterity saving throw.
Fuck! Yeah, it definitely saves.
Sorry.
Yeah, yeah.
Where was that when it was contesting the earlier roll?
So you cast Fiery Fire,
and you watch as it drifts
and then just dissipates around the exterior of your target.
This member of the Weave Mind just still floating,
untouched, unfazed, looking at you.
So there was only one individual in that glitter bomb?
Yeah, it's a 20-foot cube. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They're all spread out.
The two that he saw were far apart,
and the one that just coasted,
it was from further back even then.
I don't want to squish Fjord.
What are we doing? It's okay.
I am going. Stop! Go ahead.
I have a bonus action.
You do? Stop, why?
I'm nervous.
With my bonus action,
I'm going to disappear by casting Far Step.
Okay.
At fifth level.
Okay, yep.
And just do a cute cut to your back.
I'm cutting this far, so then. You will appear. I'm coming, Arson.
You will appear where?
Right behind them.
Right behind which one?
The one you targeted with the fairy fire?
The one that's closest to you?
Maybe the one that's farthest back in the room,
so that if I appear behind him,
maybe the other two with these enormous ornate domes
don't quite notice.
From where you stand,
they're beyond 60 feet from the entry where you are.
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you said
they were 30 feet from where I was.
No, the one that's closest to you
is about 40, 50 feet from where you were.
Gotcha, gotcha.
You can teleport behind that one.
And they're still invisible.
They're still invisible? You all don't see them.
Right.
Yeah, I'll jump in there.
The guy that's 40 feet, because that's within 60 afar. Yeah, I'll jump in there. I'll just, the guy that's 40 feet,
because that's within 60 of far stuff.
Yeah, so you appear behind him
and nicknames face.
The rest of you just watch Fjord
and just dissipate in the middle of the way.
No! I killed him!
1,000 gold!
Stop! Stop letting him like that!
You no longer have a grasp on your friend.
He has vanished from your hold
and from all of your sight.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
He just went in.
I'm going to take a cue from Captain,
and I am going to,
we're going to have to talk about this
because I haven't done this, but I'm going to
spend four ki points,
and you see Beau just throw her arms out
and her head back, and her eyes gloss over white,
and she slowly, from the top down, starts to disappear.
What? And I'm going to cast,
well, it's not a cast, I just do.
She's starting to believe.
Empty body.
So I'm invisible, and I have resistance to all damage,
except for force, for one minute.
Correct.
Whoa!
And this isn't the invisibility spell, so I can punch.
Correct. Okay.
Just raw energy.
That, what?
That's amazing!
Yes.
Dope. But you can't see it.
Monk. Shit.
Shit.
I can't see it.
I never killed Beau!
They're making both of them disappear! Oh god!
They're all over the house!
I just barf on the floor.
And I'm going in.
All right.
So you watch Fjord just vanish
after being nearly torn in twain in the doorway
by psychic force.
In twain? Beauregard shoots into I Am The One mode and then also vanishes. What are the rest of you doing? I'm nearly torn in twain in the doorway by psychic force. Beauregard shoots into I am the One mode
and then also vanishes.
What are the rest of you doing?
I'm going in.
Okay, I'm tapping you on the way in.
Okay.
Good luck.
I can't see anything! I'm casting Holy Weapon.
Ooh!
Holy Weapon on?
Yeah. Yeah, sure.
All right. That's an extra 2d8 radiant
with every hit.
Oh!
All right. We'll note that.
The rest of you?
Entering. Entering as well.
Okay.
As the rest of you rush into the chamber
in pursuit of your friends,
we're going to go to break.
What?!
It's an earlier break, but I'm going to go ahead
and set what has now been the beginning of a battle
on the battlefield there,
or at least a series of tense moments
are likely to turn into battle,
and I want to set the stage for it.
So we'll be back here in a few minutes.
We'll see you all here shortly.
Why, hello there.

I want to see, I want to see, I want to see,
I want to see, I want to see.
Oh shit!
Oh no!
Wow.
Oh no!
Whoa!
That's totally empty.
Oh no.
That is so pretty!
It's all lethal.
Look at it!
The helmet hit him!
Whoa!
Look at it go, what the fuck?
They're big.
They're bigger than I thought they were.
A portal in the middle?
Oh boy.
Where does the portal go?
Where does this arch go?
What does it mean?
What does it mean?
Stargate, it's a stargate!
That's a stargate!
Wait, how many? Get a picture
so that we can remember this.
One, two, three got four, five.
So five of these pillars,
and then, wait, four regular pillars
and one chained pillar?
What does a chained pillar mean?
Russell and James Spader on the phone.
That is crystal. No!
This is crystal, this is crystal,
this, this is crystal, that's crystal,
that's crystal, that's crystal.
That's crystal. It's in the walls back here.
That's crystal?
Crystal from the wall.
Look at the crystal from the top,
it's got chains on it!
What's happening? No, that's what I mean! What is happening? Crystal that needs to escape. And then is the crystal at the top, it's got chains on it! What's happening?
I don't know, that's what I mean!
What is that? Crystal that needs to escape.
And then is the thing in the ground,
is that also crystal?
God.
There's archways and shit.
There's a circle. That's Stargate prop.
Those things go about 300 feet.
Fjord is right with that Fjord?
Yeah, he just teleported behind him.
Oh boy.
The rest of you all just rushed in through this doorway.
Fuck!
So both doors were like... Custom pieces, look at this. Right, so Beauregard all just rushed in through this doorway. Oh! So both doors were like...
Custom pieces, look at this!
Right, so Beauregard, you rushed in.
What was your speed? This right here,
this whole thing is brought to you by WizKids Minis.

Thank you, I did my job. Good job, buddy.
We're going to end on that.
Okay, here's my question.
Yep. Yeah.
Even these pieces are so cool.
Did I see where Fjord directed his fairy fire
since I was?
You would have, yeah.
You see it blasted through and went like this.
To this area here.
I don't want it anymore.
And do I? I can see.
No, Fjord went invisible.
Yes. Fjord also went invisible. No, see. No, Fjord went invisible. Yes.
Fjord also went invisible.
No, no, Fjord didn't go invisible.
He just vanished from sight.
He just poofed inside.
And you rushed inside.
And so you'd be rushing in.
Your movement is?
My movement is 70.
Do you think this guy? 70.
So I would try and head towards Fjord
and towards where he directed it.
65, 65, 65.
70 would get you about, actually.
Right up to him? Right up to him.
Let's fucking go. If you want to.
And I am also invisbable.
Correct.
I think so.
Okay, so we have both you guys on board.
Yasha? Yeah.
You rushing as well?
I do. Your movement is?
My movement is, I think it's 50 feet.
50 feet.
You would get about there.
Okay.
I thought you farted and it spooked you.
I smell a fart.
I don't know what he farted.
Then why does it smell like a fart?
That's the smell of fear.
Probably.
Slowly leaking out.
Yeah, that feels good.
That feels good.
Why does my butthole tickle?
Can I do something or should I wait?
No, no, we're just placing everyone
and then we're going to go into initiative.
Okay, okay, okay.
Since people are rushing.
This is my other friend, Crystal.
Crystal from Ohai.
So with your placement there, Veth, what's your movement?
30.
30, you would be getting in just about at the door.
Oh boy, we're going to have to rely on some of you guys
to help me move some of these around on the far end.
Just to say it, they did ask if we wanted to converse.
Okay.
Before we start swinging on these cats.
Well, we can't even see them.
Jester, you rushed in as well.
Can I cast something on myself
before I go through the door?
Or is it too late? You can either go through the door or Can I cast something on myself before I go through the door? Or is it too late?
You can either go through the door
or you can cast something on yourself.
I'm saying right now this is all happening at once
and then we're going to go into initiative.
Maybe we could try and talk.
If you wanted to cast something on yourself, you can,
but I'd say then you would begin your next action
or next turn running it.
Then I'm going to cast Blink on myself.
Blink on yourself.
That's the one I wanted to cast.
Okay.
Yeah.
I see the far step.
It's the far step.
Which is I can pick up all my bills.
So one of them has an hourglass-y mantle
and another one has a moon mantle?
We haven't seen them yet.
We haven't seen them yet.
We haven't seen them yet.
Marisha, did you place Jester outside of that door?
Oh, fucks with time.
About here-ish?
About 15 feet that way.
Would I have been that far?
Because I would have rushed forward
the minute he was like, being cut in half.
I held it in because he said,
and then, but I was like,
my Jester would have moved towards him.
So I would have been towards the door.
Okay, I'll put you five feet closer on the door.
Okay.
Because he was right there in the doorway.
Yeah. I'm not going through the door.
I'm just...
That's where he was being stuck, right?
Caleb, Caduceus?
Do you first or me?
The door, or do you stay out there?
I'm probably going to stay out there
because I want to activate my armor,
because I don't...
This feels inevitable. Can we cut?
Oh. So will you place this by Jester for me, please?
Then Caleb, are you moving in
or are you staying out there in cast-offs?
I am going to be at the doorway, peeking in.
Okay, so probably, okay.
That'll work.
I want to place half cover from the doorway,
but I want to be able to see what's happening.
Sure. Yeah, if I can to be able to see what's happening. Sure.
Yeah, if I can.
I only used a bonus action,
so if I can get just near him to just kind of...
Is a bonus action to operate your armor?
Yeah. Okay, then yeah,
if you wanted to move in a little closer.
Yeah, a little closer, just to...
Are you trying to keep it?
Yeah. Or something crazy?
Yeah.
I just want to be able to see.
Okay.
Now I would like you all to roll initiative.
Oh, jeebers.
That's not good.
Roll low, roll low.
Hey, there's a 20.
Roll high. Yay!
Yes.
Oh!
Do I go to the right move page?
No, I can't do it. And I got my boots.
Oh, I get a bench.
Boots, boots, boots, boots, boots, boots.
I got boots. They're made for walking. I'm so sorry. That, I get a bench. Boots, boots, boots, boots, boots, boots. I got boots.
They're made for walking.
I'm so sorry. That was sad.
That was sad.
That was very sad.
25 to 20?
Natural 20.
Nice. 21.
What does that put you at, Fjord?
20.
Okay.
I'm not interested in both.
So we have Beauregard at 21.
21.
And then Fjord.
And Fjord. Good, we can talk.
Yeah. At 20. I mean, I was going to Fjord. And Fjord. Good, we can talk. Yeah. At 20.
I mean, I was going to come out somewhere.
All right. 20 to 15?
15.
16.
Probably be swinging anyway.
16, what's your dex?
You can swing while we talk.
Oh gosh, plus four.
Plus four, okay.
Jester. We'll say Caleb.
Beau, Fjord, Jester, Caleb. Jester, Caleb. say Caleb. Beau for Jester Caleb. Jester Caleb.
Caleb, what's your dex?
My dex is shit.
It's 12.
Why are you asking?
Okay.
That's got to be a baddie.
Okay, 15 to 10.
10 to five.
Eight.
Five. Okay. Oh, I'm six. Eight. Five.
Okay. Oh!
I'm six.
Jesus.
So you're five?
I'm five.
So Veth Yasha.
That's actually the best place for a healer to be.
Yep.
Caduceus.
I still don't know how to spell Caduceus.
I just put cat. Caduceus.
I just put cat. Caduceus.
Caduceus. Caduceus. Caduceus!
You say that and it's not helpful.
Just treat it like a Latin name, like a Roman.
Caduceus. Okay.
Friends.
After the psychic tug of war upon Fjord Stone,
he vanishes into a puff of magical energy.
Beauregard turns invisible and charges in after,
where you see him within the chamber,
standing there at the ready.
You're uncertain.
You cannot actually see anything in here at the moment,
but you can see where he's standing
and where he's focused on.
You rush up to feel that
that static sensation is strong,
this intense pressure on your consciousness,
just by proximity,
right next to where this crystal is right there.
You're uncertain if it's the crystal
or where this entity might be,
but you can, given that you're a monk
with that high enough wisdom,
know that it's nearby.
You also have initiative,
but regardless, what would you like to do?
Okay, I'm going to run up.
Just scream for Fjord.
Fjord, where is he?
What are we doing?
He's right in front of me.
Ah, get up!
Now I'm going to swing.
Okay, jumping into combat, let's go.
Yep. You poppity pop, let's go. Yep.
You poppity poppity pop pop pop pop.
All right, your attacks have disadvantage
because you cannot see what you're attacking.
Okay.
That's fair.
That's fair, okay.
Sorry, I'm going to get first attack.
Ah, ah, it's a natural 20.
And a natural 16. Pretty good.
Which is going to put me at 29 to hit.
which is going to put me at 29 to hit.
That hits.
No roll damage for that strike.
Let me do my second attack.
Actually, no, let's start with this one.
One, two, 12, and a seven.
Okay, that's good.
That's going to be 16 points of damage.
Okay.
Stunning Strike.
Strike is on fire.
Yeah, it's a 29.
Whoa! I rolled really high.
29. I rolled really high. 29. I rolled really high.
Nice. Okay.
Warm it up, Matt, warm it up.
Second attack.
Ugh, what the fuck?
Another natural 20 and a two.
Oh!
So 15 total.
15 fails.
Ugh.
You impact as your fist hits the first hit.
The rest of you can see this psychic ripple in the space
in the general shape of this entity
that you had seen, but the rest of you
caught at the periphery of your vision
on the arrival to this area, to this pentathrone region.
Shakes a little, you said?
You just see in the air this predator
shifting ripple in the air, and then it vanishes.
Your second strike goes wide, however,
almost like it's deflected off
some sort of a psychic barrier,
something that, not even air pressure,
but just some sort of force pushes your fist away
to hit nothing.
We don't see Beau striking,
because she's invisible.
Correct. Oh man.
So you see this ripple in the air.
After it gets hit, does it become visible?
Nope.
Cool.
Cool.
Cool.
Oh my god.
What the fuck?
It's actually a really big shirt.
That might be my favorite one.
Wow.
Oh wow.
Oh wow.
Gorgeous.
Wow, that was a long time ago.
That's a good one. Flurry of blows. Let, gorgeous. Wow, that was a long time ago. That's a good one.
Flurry of blows.
Let's go.
That was a weird night.
Man, I've got some good rolls here,
but that's going to be an 18.
18 misses.
18 misses.
Second one.
Oh, well, that's a nine.
Oh wait, but it's disadvantage.
No, 17. Miss, 17. Miss, miss.
Miss, miss.
Oh.
It's almost like something is catching your blows
and shearing them off in different directions
without saying where it is, some sort of a sourceless force.
And they said, like, let's talk in his head, right?
But we don't know that.
We just know that he got bamfed in there and then.
I did say they wanted to talk.
You did mention that out loud. Yeah, but then you got bamfed in there and then. I did say they wanted to talk. You did mention that out loud.
Yeah, but then you got bamfed in and you were like.
I bamfed him.
But we don't know that.
I know it hits.
Initiative count 20.
Bamf, what would you like to do?
Can I use the beginning of my turn to reach out
and try and stop the swinging of arms
that I'm barely catching in my perfect bow?
No, wait, wait!
What, what, what?
You want to converse?
Now would be the time.
This is easily the most architecturally impressive area
we've seen since we've landed on this moon.
What is this? Who are you?
What are you doing?
The figure, as you see it, just turns and drifts,
its arms dangling at the side,
its fingers reaching out of it, and as it does,
it lifts up, as it breathes in,
you see all the crystals in the chamber
light up with its breath,
and then slightly fade as it breathes outward.
And you can see in this chamber,
the other one that you saw here,
the one up here.
Wait, they're all becoming visible?
No, but it's Fjord's turn and he can see them.
Because he's got True Sight up, right?
I see invisibility from the sword.
You also, I guess, would say at a glance,
you can see in some of these, the heavy pulses,
like shifting movement imagery for a brief second,
that seems to connotate something beyond
just the presence in the room.
You see the focus onto this core bit there.
You glance around your shoulder towards that archway, and there's a ripple in the room, and you see the focus onto this core bit there. You glance around your shoulder towards that archway,
and there's a ripple in the space there
where you can see what looks like
the shadow of a battlefield
of hundreds of people colliding.
I don't feel like I'm in the right place.
They're using these to VR.
VR-ing in.
Feels like it. This is how they fucked up Vex?
Maybe. Yes.
Because they were vamping.
Beams.
That's the archway or the circle?
It's like focusing it through the circle.
That's what it seems to be.
At least when you glance over here,
there's a sparkle of energy here,
and then in that archway there,
you can see that ripple and the imagery moving forward.
It fades for a moment
as all of them turn towards you.
They just wait.
No answer to the question.
Oh god, I'm talking with my mouth.
Do they do that?
No way to know.
Cool. You've been talking
into your mind, but the initiative count
is paused for the moment.
They seem to be waiting.
Waiting for what?
Time to talk.
I asked a question.
Are they talking in your head?
Beau asks Fjord.
They tell her, are they saying anything in your brain?
No, no, nothing in my brain.
I'm of my own free will at the moment.
Tell them to stop attacking Exandria.
That's my friend, Jester.
She would like you to stop attacking Exandria. That's my friend, Jester. She would like you to stop attacking.
I'm his fiance.
Sorry, yes, my fiance, Jester.
I don't think he's attacking.
They're attacking Exandria.
We are on the moon?
Oh.
That's true.
I think we're just trying to understand
what it is that's happening in this room.
Are you the Weavemind?
You hear the gentlest of mild chuckles.
That begins to break into a dozen, and then dozens.
It's almost like the laughter's coming
from all directions around you, and all of them drift about a foot more and in dozens, it's almost like the laughter's coming from all directions around you,
and all of them drift about a foot more off the ground,
and without words, your answer is placed within your psyche.
They all seem to be looking expectantly towards you
as the five voices at once, layering over each other
into your mind say,
Why have you come?
We've been tasked with stopping Predathos,
but there's division amongst those that we've come from.
Some say he should be stopped.
Others say he should be let loose.
What say the five of you?
Hmm.
We ensure the future of our people.
We seek the blue dream that you squander.
We are the vessels for its will,
and we will see our people freed.
So, where do you stand,
Fjord Stone?
Ooh.
It's very personal.
What'd he say?
I still don't know if this is in his head or not.
This is in his head.
The rest of you are just standing in the door,
watching this.
We have the pleasure of being
in the presence of the Weavemine.
They are tasked with being the vessels of Prydathos,
and they aspire to one day inhabit the Blue Dream
that we take so...
take for granted. They want to be the vessels?
Yes. Of Prodathos?
Yes.
But didn't Ludinus say that he wanted
to have the vessels of Prodathos?
You make an excellent point.
Where does Ludinus Deleuth fit into all of this,
as the vessels of Prodathos?
We are the vessels of his will.
I don't think that you are.
I think he's planning to betray you.
That's just, I'm not hearing that shit.
Everyone who's outside the doors
make a strength saving throw.
Outside the doors? Yeah, including you, Caleb.
So it'd be Jester, Caduceus, and Caleb.
You have Fortune's Favor, too, remember, Jester.
Okay.
20.
20, okay.
11.
17. 17.
Both Jester and Caleb, you feel this force
grasp your shoulders and you both
get shunted into the room.
Am I able to fight it myself with my own telekinesis,
which I think I'd be on the tail end of?
Sure, all right.
Let's go ahead and roll off.
Okay.
Bye!
So it's just modifier plus the roll, right?
That's just a 13 for me.
24, unfortunately.
So both you and Jester get moved 30 feet into the chamber.
If you wouldn't mind shifting in there.
Thank you.
So you get shunted to about there, Jester.
Okay.
And Caleb's about there.
You resist this?
I resist it, but just to be that person,
I'm just going to walk in.
I feel it, but I'm going to make it clear that...
I will shut the, I will actually,
the door's going to, they're going to shut the door,
aren't they?
So you step in on your own will?
I'm stepping on my own will
and I'm going to gently close the door behind me
to make a point.
Use this if you don't mind.
As he steps into the chamber.
That's his concentration marker there.
The doors,
you turn to move it,
and then they slam immediately shut.
I was going to get it.
Wow, this is a really cool, big, empty room.
With my bonus action, can I just
do my far step to the opposite side
of where this particular member, Steve,
of the Weavemind is,
and say, listen, everyone,
they have something to tell us.
I don't see them.
Where are they, Fjord?
You would be so kind.
It might help with the conversing.
Make a persuasion check.
Come on, come on!
What about a deception check instead?
He goes into the air.
Well, so you're trying to convince them
to reveal themselves.
Yeah, perception, or persuasion.
So this is persuasion.
Okay.
As he drifts up into the air above you both.
Would that proc my Sentinel Strike?
Because he's leaving my range.
If you'd like to hit him, yeah.
Probably 16 on persuasion, which isn't great.
What would you like to do?
I'm going to miss you, I want to see him.
Ah!
Shit.
It's better if we can see him.
Yeah.
See him swing away.
Swing away.
What are we doing, Beauregard?
Yeah, I'll pop him.
Let's go.
All right, roll for an attack disadvantage.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Fuck!
Wait, disadvantage?
Yeah. I mean, I didn't hit, I didn't.
Well, actually. They both sucked.
No.
You go to punch and your fist feels like
it's pushed out of the air by just some intense pressure
in the immediate atmosphere,
and your arm goes down to the ground
as it glides up about 30 feet into the air.
Now all of you can hear throughout your minds
the singular woven dynamic of their five voices
speaking as one, like a perpetually shifting
discordant series of phrases.
Have you guys ever thought of
becoming a barbershop quartet or something?
Oh jeez.
Badum-dum-dum.
Quintet?
You arrive here
for the purpose that all do at times of challenge and war.
To stop us.
A shame.
Throwing your lives away when they could be so much more useful.
Why are we here, really?
To stop you, why?
Why should we stop you?
The voices all trickle into your mind.
All of yours, but yours specifically.
You would destroy the beginnings of our home
and trudge through our halls, killing our kin
to do something other.
Aye. I'm not going to say that isn't a possibility,
but it didn't have to be that way.
What do you want?
One of the other crystals, there's a flash in it
from that shade of other combat that's going on,
and you see a dulled detonation
within the image within that crystal.
It seems like others in this chamber
are still focusing on the crystals nearby
and keeping their attention elsewhere
while having this conversation.
I thought you wanted the blue drink.
We will have it.
You will not.
You're so clever and you're so foolish.
You're going to kill it.
You don't know what it is.
You're not prepared for what's down there.
It's going to die,
and you will be left with less than what you have now.
Xandrian rodents.
Insignificant.
Without mice, all of it dies.
Everything dies without mice.
And bees.
And very much bees.
Yeah, we don't begrudge anyone wanting, you know,
a little change of scenery.
You know, if you want to move, that's fine.
But doesn't sound like you're going to play nice with the rest of us, so...
This place will not be nice if you burn it down.
The shit of it is that the first person you met was Ludenus, you know?
He's a really bad guy.
I mean, he's sweet and all, but I think he has bad intentions.
Yeah, he's not sweet.
And he's probably misleading you guys,
and you think it's okay, but it's really not.
You shouldn't attack everyone.
That's not the way to get down there.
Ludinus is serving his purpose.
When his purpose is complete,
he won't be of concern.
Ooh, that's juicy.
That's exciting. Oh, he knows that. I love it when they all, that's juicy. That's exciting.
Oh, he knows that. I love it when they all think
that they've got the upper hand.
You know that somehow.
I thought everyone saw it.
And they are already planning how to deal with it.
Like when Mighty Nein all spoke at the same time.
Yeah, they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I've heard this shit before.
Yeah, that trust is embarrassing.
We also share a mind.
You may sit down and watch as we work,
or we can finish this charade
and send you on your way.
There's no chairs in here.
So I guess we have only one choice.
Put it in the trailer.
There's no chance. Okay.
I'm going to consider that putting us on initiative 0.20.
Yep.
All the crystals at once
flare up. It's going to work.
You see the one that got punched by Beauregard.
It seems like its field,
like that weird shimmering force field around it
seems to strengthen back to where it was previously.
Still only to Fjord.
Yes, because no one else can see.
Nobody else can see.
My Faerie of Fire fizzled out.
Fafaf.
Okay.
Fafaf. Fjord's Faerie of Fire fizzled.
They were.
Fuck's sake. Also, we're going to go ahead and save for it, so layer action here. Forms very fire fizzles.
Also, we're going to go ahead and save for it, so layer action here.
Oh, we're going there, are we?
Okay, I can't get past this.
Share it, Garone!
We're in trouble.
We're going to go with...
I'm in danger.
You're in danger.
We're in danger, Garone.
Yep, I'm going to mark that for now.
Okay.
Oh, good. Good pull.
So that's going to finish the initiative count 20.
Initiative count 19.
Just charged up some shit or something.
Yeah. Brings us these all vanish from sight
for those who cannot see them.
What's all vanish from sight?
Meaning these here, only Fjord can see on his turn.
The rest we have to guess until you can figure out a way to.
There's another screen.
This one here is its turn.
It's going to glide up over this direction.
This is the Weavemind Manipulator.
So we're just hearing voices in a big empty room.
We got to be able to see these guys.
Does anyone have any?
Does anyone else have Fairy Flare?
You just see the crystals in the chamber
flaring with certain flashes and bursts of energy.
Okay, it's going to use Horrid Puppet on Beauregard.
Beauregard, could you please make
a wisdom saving throw for me?
Now, I am also invisible.
You're at advantage on wisdom saving throw.
Correct. Do they have True Sight? Can it for me? Now, I am also invisible. You're an advantage on wisdom saves. Correct.
Do they have true sight?
Can they see me?
They don't seem to be bothered by your invisibility.
Dang, you said that casual as fuck, dog!
All right.
Don't seem to be bothered, okay?
Let's get these out of here, fuck off.
All right, all right, all right.
Advantage on wisdom saves.
23.
23 succeeds. Okay.
You feel something try and pry into your mind.
Oh, 28, next to him.
That's right, yeah.
As it tries to dig into your psyche,
you feel like something is trying to pull
at your muscles, at your bones,
and then you just intensify your sense of self
and that rock of consciousness and willpower within you,
and it withdraws.
This one here is going to go ahead and shift up to here.
Dang. And then vanish from sight.
Can I say 23 saves?
Shit.
So what we'll say here is when it's their turn
and they take an action, you watch them,
the air shift in their shape and they do something.
So you see a brief ghostly image of where they were
and then it disappears.
It finishes its go. Jester, you are up.
I have no idea.
Hold on.
What the hell?
I'm not. No, sorry.
I'm going to look over at Sprenkle.
I'm going to look over at Sprenkle. I'm going to look at him and go, I think it's time for something really big to happen.
And I'm going to ask the Traveler
for divine intervention.
This is the time. Okay.
What's the plan?
I'm going to see if he will light up
all of them so we can see them.
Okay.
Whoa!
Yeah, come on, Traveler.
So.
No!
At level 20, it happens automatically, yeah.
Whoa!
You have a week to use it again.
Yeah.
So as you look towards Sprinkle,
Sprinkle is curled up and shaking.
All of a sudden, gets relaxed.
The eyes flare green.
He looks over towards you.
My goodness, it's kind of hard to see in here.
Perhaps need a little more light.
And Sprinkle's little claws snap.
As it does, this bright, greenish-white light
apparates outward.
As it does, you watch as that shimmering energy
seems to scatter off of it,
almost like dust being knocked off of an antique
with a burst of wind.
Where the Weavemines stand,
even if they try and focus down,
their body's trying to shimmer again,
there's this weird flash of energy
in the shape of numerous small spectral golden dicks
that scatters it off again
and float around.
First dick on the moon!
Like tiny little spectral spites.
Amazing.
They are all now visible, yeah.
Whoa! Yes!
Jessie!
I believe!
That's my bit. I believe!
A-me-zac.
I think this one was here.
Fish, be cool.
You're doing it, Peter.
Be cool, Fish. Fish, be cool.
All righty.
So that's your action. Do you want to move?
That's huge. That's massive.
Yes, baby. Let's fucking go.
Yeah, I will shimmy over this way.
Okay.
You shimmy? Go,. Okay. You shimmy.
Cocoa pop.
You have 30, you can be about there if you want.
Okay, and then as a boned, that wasn't a spell,
that's divine intervention.
So I could cast a bonus spell.
You can.
As a bonus spell, I will cast...
Where is it?
I'm going to cast Spiritual Weapon.
Okay.
At...
I'm going to do it at 7th-level. 7th-level Spiritual Weapon, let's go.
Damn.
Okay.
A Spiritual Lollipop.
Of course.
Can I hit it right here and hit him?
Sure.
7th-level.
And it's like the most beautiful,
giantest lollipop you guys have ever seen. Giantest? and hit him? 30 feet? Sure. And it's the most beautiful,
gynous lollipop you guys have ever seen.
Gynous?
It's the most gynous lollipop.
With gynous serrated blades coming off.
Does it have a gynous tip?
The ribbons that are normally tied around the pole of it
have two maces dangling, like balls.
Just for extra.
Just for extra.
Great, I love it.
Nats.
Truck nuts.
Sugary balls.
Perfect, all right, so go ahead and roll your attack
with your spiritual weapon against
this member of the Weavemind.
Okay.
Okay.
That would be...
I don't know which one that landed on. I won't roll that one.
Okay, roll it.
18.
18, unfortunately, misses.
That's right. that's right.
Okay.
18.
It strikes down and you watch as the Weavemite,
now visible, flicks its hand
and the psychic shield deflects it off the top of it.
The giant serrated lollipop tries to chainsaw into it,
sparks flying off of divine energy before it pulls back.
I see you.
Turns to you.
I see you.
Oh, I'm going to roll a blink.
Oh, I didn't.
Damn it.
Oh shit.
There.
All right, Jester, that finishes your turn.
All right, that means it's now going to be
one of the ego hunters here.
Ego hunters.
What's your age?
Going like that.
Okay.
Yeah, since you're the one that just tried to strike it,
Jester, it's going to go ahead and try
and come after you with mental evisceration.
Go ahead and roll a wisdom saving throw for me, please.
That's advantage, because we had the feast.
Correct.
That's a 23. 23 is a success.
Which means you only take half damage on this.
Jesus.
Thank god it was an advantage
because the other one was a one.
I'm stressed.
Are you? Yeah.
Why didn't I blink?
I don't know what to do.
So you take 19 points of psychic damage.
Yowza!
That's for half of it,
and that's all the effect it has on you.
Okay.
Then it's going to drift back onto this bridge here,
floating above it.
Should we attack the pillars?
Should we attack them?
Should we attack the central pillar?
What are we doing here?
Since Render's going to go now.
I don't think they can kill them all.
Clearly all of it is.
Do you think we can kill them?
The pillar's healed, which makes me think
they would be good to kill.
Wait, you said, what did you call the first one?
I'm just talking out loud for my things.
There's the Sense Render, the Ego Hunter,
and the Manipulator were the ones that I've mentioned.
Ah, fuck.
Cool.
The Ego Hunter is the one that just hit me.
Okay, so they're all different kinds of hunters.
Ego Hunter.
This one here is going to drift up a bit to about here.
Oh god.
And it's going to go ahead and focus down
in that cluster there.
They've all got different arm positions.
That's so cool.
Yeah, definitely within range.
So it's 20 foot within Yasha.
That's going to be Veth, Caduceus, Yasha, and Caleb.
Okay.
I need you all to make an intelligence saving throw.
Intelligence saving throw?
Do I do any, because I have mine blanked.
Does this do anything?
We'll come to that here in a second.
I don't have to. I don't have to.
Oh, you don't have to.
I'm not in the bubble.
I get advantage on this.
Intelligence saving throw.
That's bad.
Let's see.
I think I have a thing that will help.
Yep.
Here we go.
No one told me there'd be intelligence saving throws.
All right, Caleb.
25.
25.
Well, you take no psychic damage,
and you are unaffected by this effect.
Veth. 28.
28, you take half damage.
So you take 21 points of psychic damage.
I'm also now resistant to psychic damage.
So you take half of that.
So that's 10. Mm-hmm.
Okay. All right.
Caduceus? 11.
11.
I just had it for you, it was?
21. 21, so you take
42 points of psychic damage. Oh!
Cool. Oh shit!
And you cannot take reactions
until the Weavemines next turn.
And Yasha, what was your roll?
17. 17.
That's a failure, you cannot take reactions,
but you do not take any psychic damage
because of your spell.
And also not a link.
So as this rippling burst
of crackling psychic energy burns in the space,
it affects some of you,
but Yasha and Caleb both shrug it off mostly,
and you can see the Weavemind take note of this.
In your minds, you hear,
I became prepared.
Shifting of strategies, then.
I'm holding Concentration.
Do I have to roll anything for that?
Hmm?
Because I just got hurt.
Correct. Yeah, you're going to tell your pal.
So go ahead and roll.
15? Yeah, you're fine.
It's a constitution saving throw
to see if you maintain concentration.
You're fine.
All right, that finishes its go.
Caleb, it's now your turn.
So Caleb hears that in his mind and says,
Strategy.
Yeah, and you hear his voice echoing
with arcane sheen, halt,
and he just ceases to be as I cast Timestop.
Ooh!
Sickest spell.
How many rounds?
I want that spell so bad.
What the spin?
Zip!
On time, 20 on the time.
I just rolled a d4. Five, four, three, two, one. Zip! That's right. On time. 20 on the time.
I just rolled a d4.
I rolled a four on the d4, so I have five.
Five rounds of preparation, which you have.
You basically can cast,
you have five rounds to do whatever you want to
until you cast a spell on another creature.
Yes, that hurts a creature, yes.
You can or everybody can?
He can.
You can do five rounds of stuff.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
What else? We're all frozen.
So I'm watching everything frozen in place.
It's not about even damage.
It's a spell that affects another creature.
Affects a creature, including me?
No, another creature.
Oh, so you can't affect anybody else.
You can only prep on yourself?
But you can set them up together, right?
So I have five turns.
Correct. First turn is...
Wait, what do you mean he has five turns?
Like, he can do five things right now?
But it can't affect anybody else.
Last but not least. Let's watch the chef cook.
So please, describe to me what it looks like
as Caleb Wittergrass stops time.
Well, all of the five are glowing
with little golden celestial dicks around them Stops time. Well, all of the five are glowing
with little golden celestial dicks around them
and they all freeze in place.
Caleb looks and turns and sees all of the nine
frozen in place, looking forward.
He begins to walk this way and I cast Mirror Image.
Okay. Cool.
To begin, I cast Fire Shield. So there are, in this slowly stretched time,
there are three Caleb Widow guests
all burning like the Human Torch
as he walks through space.
One, two.
There we go.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Neither of those are concentration, right?
None of them are concentration.
DM, you said that their sort of computer HUD Are those a concentration, right? None of them are concentration.
DM, you said that their computer HUD
of the battlefield is where in this space?
Kind of where the Stargate is.
Their what? Their computer HUD?
They were looking at the battlefield.
Is it here? Is it between these pieces?
I mean, they're looking into crystals,
and then there was a brief shimmering image
of the battlefield in that arch.
Okay.
I would like to use my third action,
because I still have Telekinesis up.
Correct.
To grab hold of this arch
and try to rip it broken down.
Okay.
All right, so go ahead and make a
a d20 roll, adding your modifier.
Strength?
Ah, shitty.
12.
12.
So you focus and the arch begins to crack
and cracks begin to sew through it.
As it cracks, you can see all the other crystals
in the room flare a little bit, or they would,
but time has stopped. So it cracks a little bit see all the other crystals in the room flare a little bit, or they would, but time has stopped.
So it cracks a little bit.
You can continue to try again if you want to,
to keep pulling on it,
but it is reacting to your telekinetic grab and yank.
I'll return to that.
So all this time, because I have so much movement,
I've been moving this way, and in Caleb's mind,
he's thinking that with Mind Blank,
hopefully they're not able to track him.
So by the end of this, he's going to be behind this pillar.
Okay, cool.
But on the way, I will next
slam Bat-Guano and sulfur between my hands
and twist it in a disc and pull my hands apart
and shoot out a little mote of fiery light that pauses in the air,
right in the middle and freezes in place.
Delayed glass fireball.
Delayed glass fireball.
Its trigger is the end of this time freeze.
Fucking cool.
Sick. I'm going to go ahead and just,
because it's fun to do.
Kaboom!
Look at that!
So the 20 feet from each of those three
triangulated in there.
You got it.
And then that's four actions.
For my fifth action, as I step behind this pillar,
I throw out a fireball at 7th-level.
Yeah!
Wait, so you're double fireballing?
Double fireballing.
Damn!
Boo doo! Hell yes.
Oh my god.
Okay. That's some wizard shit.
That's wizard shit. That's wizard shit right there.
So as soon as you cast.
I believe I rolled a four.
As soon as you cast that last fireball,
the bead goes out and
suddenly the time flow begins to rapidly move again.
In that moment, there's this flash out of nowhere.
Caleb is gone.
Then
just a chaotic series of extreme detonations
that almost deafen everyone within the chamber,
causing dust and stone to
fall from above the ground.
Guys, it's the Resistance!
Yeah! All right, so yeah. It's not the Resistance. I, it's the resistance! Yeah!
All right, so yeah. It's not the resistance. I'm not even going to have to measure
the fireball radius on this one.
That catches all three of them.
The regular fireball at 7th level is 11d6,
and the delayed blast fireball is 12d6.
Correct.
23d6.
You have to do them separately
because they're two different saving throws.
Damn.
Eight, nine, 10.
The first one to hit would be the regular fireball.
Correct. I will say,
because you did this as part of a time stop,
they're going to have disadvantage
on their dexterity saving throws,
since they literally, you just vanished
and it all just happened at once.
So it's like a brief instinct,
where in that brief little fraction of a second,
they psychically acknowledge,
See you, Fjord. Oh shit.
And that's the only reaction they have.
So I'll acknowledge that.
All right.
So this guy here in the first,
so roll damage on this.
Okay.
And then one.
Two, five, six, seven. That's my deck, cats and rabbits.
15, 18, 21,
27, 30, 21,
27, 30, 33, 33, 37, 39.
Okay. For one.
And makes the save there with a natural 20
and a natural 18.
So you move disadvantage.
Ooh, okay. Wow, that is a success.
You'll need to roll like this.
Is that the one, which one had the fireball?
That's this one here.
All three of those get hit twice.
Let's say 39. Okay.
Yeah, so 39. 39.
So he takes, so it'd be 18, right?
Uh-huh.
So that's 18 damage.
No, 19.
19.
No, sorry, 19 damage from that one.
19 damage from this one here.
That's going to be a 20. What's your DC? Oh, 22. 19. No, sorry, 19 damage from that one. 19 damage from this one here.
That's going to be a 20. What's your DC? Oh, 22. 22, yeah.
So that's going to be 39.
And then this one here.
Ooh, less. So another 39.
Okay, and now for the other one.
Two, four, make sure I have the right number of dice.
Six, eight, 10, 12.
Yeah, okay, here we go.
Too many cooks! Three, nine, 14, 18, 20, 27,
34.
Lost.
41 that time.
41, all right, so over here, disadvantage, fail.
Nice. This one disadvantage. Fail. Nice.
This one here.
Fail again.
This one here.
That is going to succeed with a 28-4.
Yeah.
The blasts explode and the three of them
are engulfed in two layers of arcane fire.
That's going to be a total of...
One, two, three, two.
Okay, have a second.
I'll look you up on a local spell slot.
178? Worth it.
What a power-up baller move. Damn.
That was fucking cool.
Does the fireball damage the crystal towers, too?
Oh, that's up to the DM.
I think it does.
That'd be cool.
I'm trying to comment without a doubt.
Do the flames affect the crystals?
These crystals are immune to fire.
The flames cursed around them
and have no effect on the crystals themselves.
As those three take the impact,
the shields around them seem to absorb some of it
and the rest that burns through,
you watch as all five of the Weavemind react to the pain.
Oh.
And the ones that are impacted
don't look as hurt as they should have been.
And ones that weren't impacted seem to take
a little bit of a hit.
Those motherfuckers dispersed it.
They dispersed it between?
They're a hippie commune.
That's cool. But the temporary hit points
of all of their shields currently are gone.
Oh.
Since they share the damage of most of their souls.
Okay. Interesting.
Okay, so you'll be able to get,
their AC is down, basically.
Well, no, their temporary hit points are gone.
Oh, got it, got it, got it, got it.
We're whittling away.
All right, Caleb, that finishes your turn.
Oh yeah.
Damn. All right.
Damn!
Damn.
Finishes your turns.
Okay.
The other ego hunter that was caught in this blast
looks around and its mind reaches out
and can't seem to find yours
because of your mind blank.
Roll a stealth check for me.
This is a contested stealth versus it.
It's a one!
Oh no!
It's because I'm on fire!
It does kind of...
You don't see me.
Shh, there's three burning in there.
Just inflatable tube guys.
It's going to, yep.
This one is going to drift out
up to about here to get it within 30 feet of you, Caleb, and it's going to gouge aether on you.
This is such a cool spell.
Is it a spell?
This is a feature.
It is a feature, it is an ability.
Okay, okay, okay.
Aether.
26 to hit? Yeah, okay, okay.
26 to hit? Yeah, that will hit.
You do have a mirror image on you.
I do, yeah.
So go ahead and roll to see if it hits for you
or one of your images.
One of my Burning Duplicates.
Your Burning Men?
Yeah, one of my Burning Men. Wow.
So it's with a six or higher.
It's a two. Okay.
So it reaches into the very essence
of what makes you a channel for arcana
and tears something from within that spiritual fiber.
You take
28 points of force damage in that spiritual fiber. You take
28 points of force damage.
Not psychic damage. Correct. Force damage.
They've shifted tactics.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
It says force damage and roll a d4 for me.
Oh dear.
Trevor stole it.
That's a three.
Three, you lose three spell slots.
Oh!
Or three levels of spell slots.
Three levels of spell slots.
What does that mean?
So three level ones, or?
Three level ones, or three? Your choice.
It's my choice, my choice.
Oh my god. Oh, BGVs.
What if all you have is high-level spells left?
And they do that?
Well. Yeah, I know, I know.
I'm just looking at what they have.
Then you can't do anything.
Then you have to start casting lower level spells.
I have shield for free, because I'm a I'm just looking at what they're doing. Then you can't do anything. Then you have to start casting lower-level spells.
Because I'm a level 20 wizard, and that's a feature.
That sucks, bro.
Okay. All right.
But you did a lot.
Soften them up.
Yeah. Yeah, you softened them up.
As a bonus action, it's going to
fold space.
Wow. Fold space?
Okay.
Teleport here to the ground.
Zoomp.
At the end of its turn,
they're going to use one of their
communal legendary actions
for that one up in the air.
Oh no.
To fold space as well.
Zoomp.
And this one's going to go ahead and teleport.
Ah!
Hello. Oh no.
Oh no! Oh no!
Eat it! Gotcha.
Suck it, manipulator, or whoever the fuck you are.
That's my arrangement.
Carl.
Carl's in there.
She said, come to the chamber.
I work at a counter.
I'm in charge by you.
Oh, I see you, yeah.
You're in the middle of an audit.
And then now this,
the one who just teleported over there
is going to go ahead and we're going to see if it gets its.
Where are you?
This is the other manipulator.
It's going to use its horrid puppet on.
Oh, I'm right after. Horrid puppet?
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's what they tried to do to Beau before.
It's going to do it on you, Fjord.
No!
Fjord, I need you to make a wisdom saving throw.
No, Fjord!
Don't give in, Fjord!
Wisdom saving throw?
You got this.
Just imagine that pinching your butt!
Add advantage. Add advantage?
Because of the dinner, the girl's penis.
That's really good. That's good.
34.
Yeah.
You resist it, no issue.
There's a brief moment where you feel like
it's trying to push into your consciousness,
and then it's just, you hold your eyes tight
and that calm of the Wild Mother's protection
sends this breeze through your consciousness.
Jester.
Bachelor party.
Yes.
That's going to finish its turn.
It'll be like the husband.
At the end of its turn,
the whole group's going to use three legendary actions.
Jeez. To do Entropic Storm. What did you call it? At the end of its turn, the whole group's going to use three legendary actions. Jeez!
To do Entropic Storm.
What did you call it?
Entropic Storm, like the Entropic Force.
Entropic Thunder.
Entropis?
So, well, actually,
this one can move a little bit this way.
It's going to make us age or something.
Stop giving him ideas.
Sorry. Can we him ideas. Sorry.
Can we help?
We don't need any help.
Is it?
Between those three there,
all that are triangulated between them are affected.
So that's going to be Fjord, Beau, and Yasha.
Triangulated off of the Weavemind members?
The three of these here.
All of you between there.
I think Jester is just outside of that range.
That's a large AoE.
No idea if this has anything to do with the brain,
but Yasha's got my blank.
I know.
So I need you all to make
intelligence saving throws for me.
I should have gotten you into that.
I'm so smart. I'm so smart.
Come on, roll high.
Come on, Johnson.
Come on, Barb, let's go.
Roll high or low?
Natural 20.
Yay!
That'll come in handy.
That'll come in handy. Barber down.
Don't. Okay.
Yeah.
So that's a success.
Yes. You take no damage
because you're a psychic damage.
Barber down.
Beauregard? 30.
30.
So you take half damage.
You take 21 points of psychic damage.
I am resistant to all damage.
So half that. You take 10. 40s?. I am resistant to all damage. So half that, you take 10.
40s? 22.
22, just barely succeeds.
So you also take 20 points of psychic damage.
Dude.
That's your physical buff.
All right, that's going to finish their go.
Veth, you're up with Yasha on deck.
Is it within melee of me?
It is.
Jesus, I can't even move,
but you probably can't hit things, can you?
You have a knife. You can disengage as a wall.
But I want to use my bonus action for something else.
Ah, French kiss.
They have really weak noodle arms, though, so probably.
That's what I think.
They might have the ability to cast a spell.
Oh, that's true, war casters.
They're probably war casters.
Yeah, war casters can hit you as you go.
We use TRX spells.
You do have a weird sound.
So I tried to make a glass crossbow bolt at some point,
and then also they gave me a glass knife.
What do those do again?
You crit on like a... They light up.
19 or 20. 19 or 20.
And if psychic damage is dealt to the target?
To me or to my target? To your target.
It helps somebody who is psychically focused
to further hinder the target of the blade.
So it opens up the target to a little bit of psychic damage.
Oh.
Meow, okay.
Meow. Meow.
I have a feature called Naturally Stealthy
that says that I can hide
behind someone who's bigger than me.
Could I, even though that guy's right next to me,
could I hide from it if I went over to Yasha?
Hide behind me?
Yasha is bigger than you, yeah.
I know, but would it, maybe it would lose,
like I'm right next to it. Does that make any sense? you, yeah. I know, but would it lose? I'm right next to it.
Does that make any sense?
Yeah, no.
It's like the announcers of Digitopolis
in the Phantom of the Toadbooth animated movie
where they all hide behind each other
and sneak each other behind.
So you just run behind Yasha
and a cartoon character disappears.
Yeah.
If you want to have that. Yeah, sure, sure, sure.
Does it get an attack on me as I go?
It can choose to if it wants to, and it does not.
Oh, great.
For a split second, I thought you were making
a Megalopolis reference.
Yeah, so as I run, I'll just go,
look over there, and then I'll hide in the yakuza.
Why not?
And I'll use my bonus action to hide.
Okay.
From the Mensa level Psychic.
So I roll stealth. What do I roll?
Yeah, roll a stealth check.
I have advantage.
A million.
35. Okay.
You feel pretty well hidden.
Uh-huh. And now?
Like you literally just walked past her behind
and like a closeup magic, you just don't exist anymore.
Great. The Weave Mind's like,
whoa, whoa, whoa!
That's crazy!
How'd you even?
What? The prestige.
Way too go!
Then I will duck down,
lift up Yasha's cloak from between her legs,
and I'll fire on this guy right here.
Go for it. Let's go ahead and roll an attack.
Eight plus something.
Come on, be a big number. 21 to hit.
That hits. Hey! And I a big number. 21 to hit. That hits.
Hey!
And I get sneak attack.
You do.
Yeah.
One hit? Okay.
All of the sneak attack.
Somewhere between, yeah, something.
Yeah, I would say somewhere between that and the draw.
30.
38 points of damage.
38 points of damage on that one.
All righty.
Oh, I'm sorry, plus seven.
So 45 points of damage.
Why don't we just be...
I think that extract has potential.
I can see if you're resistant to that extract.
That's my bonus, that's my move.
You fire, it strikes it
in the side of its torso.
You see all the other Weavemind react slightly
to the impact and all the crystals in the chamber
also flash and flare, and a connected impact.
It looks over towards you and you feel that
pressure on your mind, like its focus is now on you.
Yeah, but I ducked down behind Yasha,
so maybe it doesn't see me anymore.
So maybe.
All right, that finish your turn, Veth?
Yes, that's all I can do.
All right, Yasha, you're up.
Okay, wait, but if we kill them?
Actually, at the end of your turn,
that's going to use their last
communal legendary action.
I'm going to kill them.
This one's going to go ahead and
Oh, and then we also need to break the crystal.
It's going to fold space.
Oh, never mind.
Folding space.
It's going to teleport back up here.
Aw.
Who's doing this?
It's the alien thing.
Yeah, it's the Tesseract.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Okay. Tesseract.
Yeah, but if we kill them all,
are we going to have to take their place or something?
Oh, that's Mel Tell's problem.
Okay, okay.
All right.
So what I'm going to do is...
Cool.
I know, do I go for one of them or do I go for the arch?
I was going to say,
I think you're close enough to get to that crystal there.
There's one on the ground. Oh, there is one on the ground? Oh, the one over there? Yeah, but was going to say, I think you're close enough to get to that crystal there. There's one on the ground.
Oh, there is one on the ground?
Yeah, but it's a good, what's your movement?
Is it just the columns,
or is it also the little weak points?
The little glowing ones in the middle, and the arch.
As far as what the?
What seems to be connected to this circuit of light?
This, this, this, this, this, this, this.
You can even wing it.
I can, but that is an action. So, okay, this, that. You can. I can, but that is an action.
So.
You could try and eat up that crystal.
Can I get to the one over there?
How far can you go?
You know what? I'm going to go for the arch.
I'm going to go for the arch,
but first, as a bonus action,
I am going to release a battle cry.
Fuck yeah!
And 10 creatures of your choice, all of you,
if you're within 60 feet,
you get advantage on attack rolls and saving throws.
Yes! Yes!
Oh.
60 feet of yasha is...
No, you are within 60 feet of yasha.
Everybody!
All right.
Just barely.
So yeah, that's all of you.
Advantage on attack rolls and saving throws.
Until the start of my next turn.
So one round. One round.
So, and then I am going to
at least try to help our friends on the battlefield.
So I'm going to go up to the arch
and I'm going to start wailing on it.
Okay.
Wailing on the arch.
Up the stairs here to the arch up there. You have enough movement to get up there on it. Okay. Whaling on the arch. Up the stairs here to the arch up there.
You have enough movement to get up there to it.
Okay.
So.
Oh, nicely done.
All right, my first hit.
Now, as a note,
the lair action that they had used
that hadn't apparated yet is Drain Prowess.
So all players within 20 feet of a glass crystal,
their weapon attack rolls are reduced by one d6.
So go ahead and tell me what you rolled.
Also, you have advantage on attacks.
Because of your battle cards.
Yes. I do.
Yep. Okay.
But the attack would be d6 down.
So how much?
20 feet.
Okay, so, All right, okay.
28.
All good.
28 minus four.
So 24 still hits the crystal.
Oh, wow. Okay, great.
So first hit.
This is slashing damage?
This is slashing damage.
So I mean, you might be right.
This is slashing damage. Okay I mean. This is slashing damage.
Okay, so.
WPAG.
So anyway, this is Wonderwall.
That joke never gets old.
Never.
Okay, so.
14.
Don't judge me, I'm doing.
Oh, that's genius, are you kidding?
Okay, so...
Plus Defying Fury.
That's a six, sorry.
Where's my sixes?
Be confident when Matt is looking.
Don't show weakness.
Five plus 10.
I'm so sorry, my math is so bad.
That was...
That's a 15.
It's okay.
Oh, his glasses.
It's the best one.
I know, it's the best one.
All right.
Damn it.
Okay, first hit is 49 points of damage.
And then also.
So then that's radiant?
So seven points of fire damage,
which doesn't really do much.
And then there was.
So seven points of that was fire?
Seven points of that was fire.
Okay, got it.
And then 15 of that was radiant.
Okay, so let's say it is immune to fire, the crystal,
so that would make it 42.
42. Plus your 2d8.
And then plus 2d8 from holy weapon.
Yeah, Wild Mother magic.
Which is 10 points radiant.
So 52.
52.
Wild Mother up in here.
Up in here.
And Zyn.
Okay.
So, uh...
Okay, so it is, the slash of your weapon
seems to not have the strongest of impact on the crystal.
The damage still goes through,
but it appears to be resistant to slashing damage.
Aw, come on.
It is immune to fire,
but the radiant still carves through,
and a heavy hit comes to the crystals.
You swipe it with your blade.
It's already heavily cracked now,
still damaged from when Caleb tried to pull on it earlier.
It looks like it's pretty heavily shaken in its foundation.
Okay.
I can give it another go, but it's not radiant.
Well, I guess I would get to do 2d8 again?
2d8 again, every hit.
All right, second hit.
Let's grr.
Ooh, that's not rude. Is that with advantage?
That is not with advantage, thank you.
Here to help.
Okay, that's much better.
27.
Minus six is 21.
Thoughts?
Okay.
All right, so we've got
this two.
Okay. Ooh!
Okay.
And 11 plus 13 is 24. How much slashing damage?
Uh, yeah.
So 24 slashing.
Okay. And...
I'll do two to eight.
Nine points of radiant damage.
Okay. Is that with the?
Oh yeah, yeah, I see what you got.
Okay, yeah. Everything makes sense.
Yeah, I just haven't seen this yet, so.
Okay.
If you could hand me that.
Oh, this crystal? Yes.
Oh, it's going!
You tried to turn on the crystal. If you could hand me that. Oh, this crystal? Yes. Oh, it's going! You tried to turn on the crystal.
As you carve it through with the second slash
and it shatters and crumples to the ground
and a rain of glass splinters that
scatter all across the floor.
As it does, there's a reverberating psychic blast
that seems to separate through the room
and you watch as all the weave mind around
turn and shift at the shattering of the glass
with renewed intensity, and you feel in your mind
that staticky pressure.
You're mad.
But your mind blink keeps it up there.
Oh!
Yasha!
Oh!
Uh-huh.
Yasha!
And mind blank is not concentration?
No. It's fucking sick.
Oh, so cool! All righty. Does that blank is not concentration? No. It's fucking sick.
Oh, so cool!
All righty. Does that finish your turn, Yasha?
Yes, it does.
Hell yeah. Caduceus, you're up.
Huh.
What level was it?
Wait, how much movement did I take?
I'm so sorry.
That would've been 40.
Okay, so I'm going to,
can I take the rest of my movement?
Yeah, if you want to, yeah.
After 10 feet, I'll start just 10 feet down the stairs.
Okay.
If he can catch.
Catch.
All right, that's my turn.
I'm debating whether or not this is too much
for a divine intervention.
Oh, what you're about to ask?
Yeah.
I want to win!
I'm curious if I can,
just due to the nature of my
magical ability, of my cleric abilities,
make each of the crystals
vulnerable for one hit.
First hit against them is vulnerable,
and then they go back to normal.
What are you asking the Wild Mother?
Do you want to hear my prayer?
Yes. All right.
I want all of their butts
to be on the front of their body.
I'm going to take one of the pieces of shattered crystal
and I'm going to take some soil out of my pouch.
The first body in our charge
was made entirely of violet crystal.
It never sprouted any plant.
It never sprouted tea.
It never sprouted a flower.
It only gave us the grove itself.
This is where we'll begin the next graveyard.
I'm going to put it in the ground
and I'm going to try and turn each of these crystals,
briefly, that beautiful violet amethyst.
So as you- Don't just briefly,
go ask for more and then she'll negotiate.
One round, I know what I'm asking.
As you focus down
the fine stonework of this polished throne room
of the Weavemind, you watch as bits of the stone
and marble get cracking, like a Bugs Bunny
crack across the ground,
spiraling off in different directions.
Within each of these green crystals,
as these carving lines meet their base,
you watch as little splinters of purple crystal
begin to pierce them from within outward.
As it does, elements of the crystal seem to almost crack,
where tiny little spider fractures
begin to appear in the crystals.
Until your next turn,
the first attack on each of these,
they are going to be attacked.
One round. Cool.
Copy that.
It will be the first attack on each of the crystals?
Yeah, one attack on all the crystals
for one round. These are attacks,
not spells.
Got it, got it. Physical attacks.
Physical attacks on the crystals.
Which of you will be the first to be interred?
And I am, fuck this noise,
I am going to
back over here and get a little clearance,
try and get a little bit of cover.
Head over here for a little cover.
Okay.
Yeah, into the little grove.
You close those doors for me, by the way,
because they get slammed shut.
I don't really have much to do with bonus action, do I?
Especially, do I get my reaction back?
Not until the, that weep mine's next turn.
I do get five. Actually, you know what?
I'll say no, you do get it back now on your turn.
Okay, now that my turn's over, so yeah.
I do get five more points because of my armor.
Okay, finishing your go,
Beauregard, you're up with Fjord on deck.
Well, Caduceus just changed things.
Well, welcome.
I feel like I should attack these crystals,
if that's the case. Fear lack of sense. Big, heavy're welcome. I feel like I should attack these crystals, if that's the case.
Fair lack of sense to attack these crystals.
All right. One big, heavy hit.
I pop pop on this guy right next to me.
Just pop. Not pop pop.
Just pop.
Yeah, you want one big hit.
I guess I can do, but I have to do.
This was lined up in a particular way for a reason.
Oh, they were going to do something big.
Yeah.
Wait, what happened?
You want one big hit, because the second hit
prevented me from doing something cool,
which is awesome, well done.
So double damage.
My two initial attacks, my attacks time two,
do I have to do those to the single target,
or can I attack, move, and then attack?
You can attack and move.
The first hit on each crystal is vulnerable, too.
Right.
So if you hit the same crystal twice,
only the first one's going to be vulnerable.
Right, so I can break up my first attack.
Oh yeah, you can attack, move, attack.
Oh, but it's vulnerable.
It doesn't mean necessarily that one attack will destroy it.
No. No.
It just means it takes more damage.
It does more damage.
The first attack is double damage.
These are just straight rolls, correct?
Correct.
Which means if you roll a 20, it's quadruple damage.
Actually, no, these are with disadvantage because,
well, you have advantage from her battle cry,
and it's disadvantage because you're within
the range of the crystal, so it's just a single roll, yeah.
Disadvantage within range of the crystal.
I thought you said minus. Sorry, no, no, no, you're right.
It's with advantage with a minus six.
I got that wrong. Okay.
So it's an advantage roll, minus six.
Yes, that's going to put me at a 20 total.
20 total, minus five, 15, that's going to put me at a 20 total. 20 total, minus five, 15.
That's going to miss.
Oh!
You go to strike once and you hit it,
but you feel your strength sapped out of the blow
and your knuckles against the crystal.
Your next attack? 21 total.
21 total?
With advantage?
You're rolling with advantage, right?
I'm rolling with advantage, yeah. I have it with advantage, yeah.
I have advantage.
So I didn't do those.
So both of those attacks would be that one roll.
Okay. The first attack.
The first attack would be 21.
Which misses, with a minus four would be 17.
Okay. Next attack with advantage.
Sorry, never rolled the advantage.
That's okay.
Much better, natural 20.
Yes! Oh boy!
Jeez Louise.
So a crit with vulnerability. Vulnerability.
Times four.
Yeah. Well, it's just,
yeah, whatever your crit damage is, then that's double.
Double, and then turns to dust.
Yeah, so just roll your dice.
This may be a one-inch punch.
Yeah. Maybe.
Come on. One punch punch.
Come on, come on, come on.
Please, please, please, please, please.
It's fine. It's not great.
That's going to be 11, so doubled.
11 total with the crit?
11, no. Sorry.
11 on my, sorry.
11 on the dice.
The dice is doubled.
The dice is doubled,
so that's going to be eight plus seven.
15. 15.
Doubled is 30.
30. Cool.
All righty.
Whack! Second hit comes through.
Cracks begin to spiral through.
It's taking some damage.
Fuck it up.
Feels like it's, I'm trying to figure out
if it's a waste of fucking time or not.
But them giving also.
Do it.
We got nothing else to do.
All right, flurry of blows.
I'm going to attack the heat pipe.
Well, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
30 total.
30 hits.
Go ahead and roll damage.
Second one is going to be?
These are bludgeoning,
which it is not resistant towards.
These do full damage.
Right, and then the second Flurry of Blows
is going to be 25 total.
25 total damage?
So 30 and 20, no, no, no.
30 and 25 for my pop pop.
Right. For my Flurry of Blows.
So now damage.
Oh, that's right, sorry, that was a hit, yeah.
Which is going to be? Minus four, 21 still hits, right. My flurry of blows. So now damage. Oh, that's right, sorry, that was a hit, yeah. Which is going to be?
Minus four, 21 still hits, yeah.
And then two attacks pop up.
Oh, right, so the first one still hits.
Was 30, and then the second one was 25.
Yep, both still hit.
Okay.
And then that is going to be 11 damage for one,
and then it's going to be 13 damage for the other.
We're nerds.
The final punch.
Yes!
Thank god. Okay. One round. It final punch. Yes! Thank god.
Okay.
One round. It explodes outward.
The shards stuck into your knuckles,
but not enough to hurt you.
Okay. Okay.
That seems like a good thing. That's some bling.
That's bling.
Well, and they don't do that aura around them,
which is good.
Right.
So we don't get our attacks nerfed.
We're going to figure out how to do it.
I will move and get base to base with this guy.
Over here? Yeah.
Is dancing with me.
All righty. Actually, you know what?
No. No?
Where are you going to go? Are you going to stay put?
He might need to put a bum run on you. He's going for a crystal somewhere. This you going to go? Are you going to stay put? He might need a little bit of a run on.
He's going for a crystal somewhere.
Is it just the first attack?
This is it. It's just the first attack, yeah.
Can I ask a question?
Sure.
Of the three that got charred at the beginning
during the time stop, where have they dispersed to?
Yeah, they went all the way up.
This one, this one, and it would be...
Actually, Matt, I'm just going to shift around.
So it's these three here.
And they dispersed all of their pain equally.
It seemed to be.
Okay, I'll stay there.
You stay there? Yes.
All right, finishing Beau's go for your round.
Okay, because I don't have the 40-foot ruler,
could I see what a far step bamf would get me
if I went in this direction, how far I could go?
A far step bamf would be 60 feet, right?
I think it's only 40.
Let me check.
60 feet, I'm alive. Yep, 60.
You can't get sneak attack damage against an object.
A far step is 60 feet, which would be...
I want him to come up here on the diacrystal.
Surprise!
He definitely does. Just a crystal.
You want to grab that.
I'll come all the way up.
Not on the circle, because I don't know what that shit is.
Is it glowing in the same way as the other crystals?
This is itself a really dense crystal in the center, yeah.
So I appear up there.
I take the Star Razor, I swing it over my head.
Just as I'm doing that,
does the circle around that little diocese
have any engravings that match
the fucking Teletubby markings on these guys?
Or is there anything that like?
Oh, numerous.
There are runes and markings all throughout
this altar-like section of the Pentothrone Chamber, yeah.
He went for the ice cube.
But none that look like the half moon
or the hourglass or the circle?
Make a perception check.
Okay.
Ooh.
Uh, I don't know, 16.
16.
At a quick glance in the middle of battle,
you don't see anything.
If you want to spend your action to really look,
you could try again.
No, I'm not that guy.
I will take three swings at this center crystal
that's got the big chains in the very middle of the...
You got it, let's go.
Okay. Get it, get it.
Get it, get it, get it.
14, 14.
That's a 30.
No.
No, sorry, yeah.
Jesus, I can add 28 to hit.
28 minus six, 22, still hits.
Oh, great. That's his advantage.
That is.
So I go one.
Nat 20 and Nat one.
24 to hit.
Four minus four makes it 20.
Just barely hits. Nice.
Just barely hits, last one.
Hell yes, 16. That's 30. 30, yeah, last one. Hell yes, 16.
That's 30.
30, yeah.
All three hit. Okay, great.
Yes!
Just pouring that first one.
19, wait.
17 plus 27.
35, last one.
40 plus eight, 48.
48 points of damage.
48 points of damage from the first hit?
From all three together.
Well, the first hit has vulnerable against,
so what was the damage of the first hit?
I don't know.
I added them really fast. An estimate?
It was, I think it was,
I think it was 18 or 19, I think, or 17.
Which would have been an additional 18 points damage,
which would be just enough.
Let's go!
There's this central piece now right here.
Ooh!
Shuts off. Oh.
This will be on there, but yeah,
this one here is just completely broken and ruined there. Oh. Oh no! Yeah, this one here is just completely
broken and ruined there.
Oh my god.
Sick.
I don't know what it just did, but.
It turned off a light
and started playing Luther Vandross.
Yes.
It shatters within.
This wind emerges from within.
This deep, warm wind.
It tooted. It's like a big butthole.
Wait, you were going for the one in the center
or the one in the center?
No, he went for the center hole.
They did, they said it was a butthole.
Yeah, he went for the boon.
Oh!
What has been a theme of the day?
Predato, Scott Eater, God-Taker.
What's that?
It's hard to keep it in.
Fjord's like,.
The circle.
This was a mistake.
Is it the circle or the square one?
Yeah, I was aiming for the one
with the chains attached to it.
Oh no, go for the circle, though!
Oh, I thought you meant the circle one.
Which would you prefer? Well, I set the chains. Okay, you set no, go for the circle, though! Oh, I thought you meant the circle one. Which would you prefer?
I set the chains.
Okay, you set the chains.
But the circle seems pretty cool, too.
But I said what I said.
Put the plug back in.
I know.
So do I.
Turn on the raindrops.
I didn't know what I was going to say.
Yeah, I just asked.
You said there's all sorts of runes in the robeship,
but I mean, look at the chains, man.
Yeah, yeah, that does seem like an important.
Okay, that breaks. Okay.
So as that shatters,
shards splintering everywhere.
You guard yourself as it does.
The Weave Mine draw back once more,
and the whole room now seems to quake with rage.
Oh.
But the warm, whole wind did not come out.
No.
Beep-a-boop-dee-boop.
He's holding it in.
Beep-a-boop-doot, beep-a-boop-doot.
Die, die, die, die, die.
Yeah, that'll...
Yeah, that finishes my turn.
You haven't moved.
I haven't, but...
I'll stay put.
At the very least, somewhere where you can't get a...
I'm an eyesight of a lot of things,
and 40 feet won't really get me out of...
They're positioned pretty well.
No, but you could get somewhere
where they can't get behind you and pin you.
Or, yeah. Yeah, they could.
Never mind, that doesn't really make sense.
I'm okay. Okay.
He said, regretting his choice later.
Finishing your turn, that brings us
to initiative count 20.
All of their shields regenerate a little bit.
A little bit?
But far reduced with the destruction
of a number of crystals.
Oh!
Ah ha ha ha!
You can have them.
Okay!
So their temporary hit points
are not restored to their previous strength.
Also choosing a new layer action.
Ah.
Da da da da.
What's it do, Maddy?
We're already in the narrative velds,
so we're going to go to Psychic Pressure.
All players that begin their turn
within 20 feet of a crystal or move through 20-foot range of a crystal begin their turn within 20 feet of a crystal,
or move through 20-foot range of a crystal on their turn,
their movement is halved and they take psychic damage.
Oh!
Are any of us within 20 feet of a crystal right now?
Fjord is and Caleb is.
Fjord is, Caleb is.
Now, Caleb, you don't take any psychic damage.
Would it still affect movement with Mind Blink?
It is, because it's not,
one's damage to your mind, the other is just
the pressure of the psychic power pushing down on you.
Bad vibes, bad vibes.
It's like the atmosphere just grows dense and intense.
Cool.
Mind power.
Finishing that go,
the Weave Mind Manipulator is going to take its turn.
See if it gets its manipulative
Corrid Puppet back.
It does not.
So instead, it's going to take two telekinetic blast attacks.
Yeah.
Let's go ahead and it's going to telekinetic blast
towards you, Veth.
Which one is the manipulator?
Manipulator's right here.
Oh, with doing the big arms.
Doing the big, the Michael Jackson.
Yes, that. Manip with doing the big arms. Doing the big, the Michael Jackson. Yes, that.
Manipulators?
No, no.
It was a clear white ruidus, so clear.
I like the smarmy one over here that's going.
He's going to find you out.
It's going to drift over here.
Fuck.
Then it's going to aim towards you, Veth,
with one of its technical blasts.
That's going to be a 30 to hit.
Oh boy.
Yeah.
Okay. 30.
Can't get away from that.
These aren't spells, these are just attacks.
Correct.
You're going to take this.
These amenities are awesome.
I know they are.
31 points of force damage.
What can I do as a rogue again, Liam?
Dexterity stuff. Uncanny dodge.
You can uncanny dodge to reduce it by half.
Yeah. From an attack, you get one.
I'll do that.
Okay, that was 31, right?
So you take 15 damage. Yeah, 15.
Make a strength save for me.
Strength save.
Is still an advantage from Yasha at this point?
I get advantage on everything, right?
Yep. Yeah.
Until Yasha goes.
Coverage, 15.
Strength?
Mm-hmm.
16.
16 does not make it.
It's going to, you get pushed as it impacts you.
30 feet, up to 30 feet in the direction.
It's going to push you over to where Jester is.
Just. Oh, hi!
Oh no.
That's fine, we're just not. The next one's going to go ahead and fire at you, Cad Just. Oh no. That's fine. We're not.
Next one's going to go ahead and fire at you, Caduceus.
Okay, that's fine.
They're definitely stacking you guys up.
That's going to be 23 to hit.
That hits.
Okay.
You take.
Oh my god.
Hold on. Sorry.
Oh no.
37 points of force damage.
I just rolled an 11, a nine, and a nine. Oh, hold on. 37 points. 37 points of force damage? I just rolled an 11, a nine, and a nine.
Oh, hold on, 37 points?
37 points of force damage.
You can't take a reaction.
Yeah, no, that's over.
Oh, okay, phew.
That is over, right?
I decided to go to the end of your turn
because it makes the turn.
Okay, one second, sorry.
Targets, if in effect, targets only me.
I'm sorry, it's, okay, that wasn't a dex save, though.
But if dex save, I don't get to roll for lowering damage?
That one for the attack that just happened?
For using what?
Oh, you just attacked me with,
okay, yeah, with that hit, so yeah.
Correct. I'm sorry,
I was thinking about that attack.
That's okay, 37 points of force damage on you.
He's just like, I'm a crystal now.
There's no rest with that.
And Anisha rolls strength saving throw.
37 points of damage.
Boop.
All right, and strength saving throw.
A strength saving throw.
13.
13.
You get force punched out of the corner,
knocking you in the air in an arc.
Throwing you a.
And you fall for an additional,
because it hit you in an arc,
additional six points of bludgeoning damage.
I need you to make a constitution saving throw.
See if you maintain your spell.
At advantage.
All right in front of that lens.
Yeah, sure.
22.
Yeah, you maintain your concentration.
All right. All right, got to think about this.
All of them got their legendary actions back.
Happy birthday, Chris Wilmot.
Whoa!
Why do we get these?
Because it's Wilmot's birthday.
Happy birthday? These are very specific.
Who are these?
Those are the frosting-filled ones.
That's not cream-filled, it's frosting.
Is this Krispy Kreme?
Yeah, that's frosting.
That's going to finish that one's turn.
You hate Krispy Kreme?
It's too sweet.
Get away from the table.
Attack him. Jester, your turn.
Shit. It's my turn.
I don't trust whatever it is
that they're trying to clump us up for.
Yeah, it is bad.
So I'm going to run over here.
There's your trickle.
Wait, how far can I move?
Sorry.
30 feet.
Is each square five feet?
Yep.
Stinks like Dean Park fumble cake.
Three, four, five.
It's 40% chemical.
Did I count that right?
Yeah. That's 25 feet.
That's 25 feet. You can move one more.
I can do like this? Yep.
Okay.
Okay, I'm going to move my...
Oh my god.
Wait, why are you skipping me?
Y'all focus, focus, Jester!
I'm listening!
It's important! I'm listening!
I'm going to use my spiritual giant,
giant vaginal weapon.
Whoa!
I don't, what did I say it was before?
Can't take it back now.
Giant vaginas, and it's going to,
it's going to hit the crystal.
It's going to try to hit the crystal.
Crystal here?
Yes, that crystal.
It's going to finally be building on itself
like a Pokemon.
This is its next form. Okay. A little, a little. Sc's going to fast. All right. Building on itself like a Pokemon. This is its next form.
Okay.
That is 21 to hit.
That hits. Go ahead and roll damage.
Okay. Was that an advantage?
It wasn't an advantage.
Let's see if I get...
It's higher, but it's not as it is.
All right. Okay.
That's fine, it still hits.
And that's 3d8 plus...
Oh, that's so sweet.
However much. 3d8 plus however much.
3d8 plus your wisdom, right?
Yeah.
One, whatever.
Plus, it's very low.
I rolled very low.
Oh shit, it's my turn next.
13 points.
It's not.
It's okay. 13 points of bludgeoning.
Or I guess that would be radiant.
Be radiant, I think it is, yeah.
Radiant, so that's times two,
because it was vulnerable.
Mm-hmm.
This time, as it was frustrated
at whatever consciousness your summoned lollipop would have.
It definitely has a consciousness.
Totally.
And it comes back with even renewed fervor of vengeance
in its weird lollipop eyes?
I don't know. Sure.
And grinds in the Judge Doom hand blade
as it comes through the chain to the end of Roger Rabbit.
Just like.
And it carves a section of the crystal off.
It looks like it's sustained some damage.
Okay. Okay.
Okay.
My other thing I'm going to do.
That's bonus action, right?
That was my bonus action.
For my spell, I'm going to...
Would you say I'm within?
Would you say that I'm within?
I don't think I can get all three of those with that.
Like, would three of those be within 100 feet of each other
if it was a line going between them?
In what way?
Like, if I was, am I 90 feet from that guy?
He's within 90 feet of you, yes.
Okay.
Then I'm going to try to cast Blade Barrier.
Okay. Oh.
In the sky, it's like a giant wall of blades.
So all these shimmering, swirling dervishes
are going to start floating around
and it's going to create a wall of craziness around them.
And it's 100 feet long.
Whoa.
It is.
And the sense reader is going to use its reaction
to use Rend Arcana.
Because you are within 30 feet of a crystal,
we get to roll Contested to see if it dispels your spell.
Why are you 30 feet?
You do good on these.
30 feet? Okay do good on these.
30 feet? Okay.
So roll a d20 and add your wisdom modifier.
It's going to roll here.
It's Contested with a plus eight.
Oh yeah.
I'm going to use Fortune's Favor.
Okay.
I already said it.
Do I get to know what you rolled
and what I rolled before I do?
No, I'm going to use Fortune's Favor.
Roll high, roll high.
No, fuck.
Does the Fortune Favor completely cancel out the first one,
or can I use a higher roll?
No, you use the higher of the two.
Okay.
17.
It was an eight plus eight, which is a 16.
Ooh!
I didn't need to use Fortune's Favor.
Wait, so I didn't need to use Fortune's Favor,
but I didn't know that.
Yeah.
Okay. Damn. Okay.
Okay, fine, that's fine.
Yeah, this is good.
Okay, so that's...
So that's a blade barrier.
Okay, so it is a straight wall, 100 feet long,
20 feet high, five feet thick.
Or I can do a 60 feet diameter.
Circle.
Right, so it would be a, just an outer wall like this.
Yeah, can I make it at a rotation,
if it's 20 feet high, if it's at a
so it gets the one on the ground and the two in the sky,
or is 60 feet big enough to get the three in the sky?
Does it have to be a perfect circle?
Does it have to be a perfect circle?
Can it be an oval?
I've never done this before.
It is designed, if you're going to change the two shapes,
it's meant to be a cylindrical shape
if you're doing it that way.
Okay. So it would be,
yeah, a ringed wall.
A ringed wall.
So it would be, it says 60 feet in diameter,
20 feet high, and five feet thick.
So you can't turn it and have it float in space.
But it's 20 feet high.
20 feet high. 20 feet high. Uh-huh. Right?
20 feet high.
Is that tall?
Oh, it comes from the ground?
Oh, and it has to come from the ground?
The vertical wall appears within range.
It's 90 feet.
Oh, you know what?
Blades, so. Just blades. I'll say you know what? It's blades, so.
It's just blades.
I'll say you can make it higher if you want to.
Okay.
It's just blades.
So yeah, if you want to create it,
you can hit either two of these guys or two of these.
That's how it works.
In order to get all three,
it's like these two are within 20 feet of each other.
And these two are within 20 feet of each other,
but not all three are.
Got to cast uphill.
Okay, if I did a straight wall,
I could get these two, or those two.
Correct.
Basically, you get two.
I can get two.
Of anybody you want.
Correct. It depends on the order
of how you want to do the wall.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm going to do the two high-v's,
because the two that are highest in the air,
because I feel like that's what we're not going to be able
to reach otherwise.
So you're wanting to do these two in a straight line?
Yeah.
Okay, up in the air.
Yeah, it's 10 feet in the air,
so it goes up to hit them.
20 feet.
Yeah, it's 10 feet off the ground.
20 feet in the air.
No, you were concentrating on what?
30 feet from the sky.
Anything?
40 feet from the snowy. I don't have any
concentrations up.
Okay.
What was that?
I'm going for, that was for?
I have all these sprinkles in my dice tray.
I don't remember. That was for,
I think, the last game, something.
I put that on there intentionally, but it's okay.
Was it blink? But blink's not concentration.
And Spiritual Weapon is not concentration.
Matt, I just rolled this. That's right, yeah.
So you're good. Okay.
I just rolled to see if I could maintain my concentration.
I rolled a natural 20.
Okay, you're good.
I'm sorry that took so long to create a wall.
It's okay. Yeah.
So I'm just going to mark these here.
It's a 100-foot wall, right?
Yeah.
So I'm just marking it here.
Does it stay?
Yeah, up to 10 minutes.
Oh! In the sky.
In the sky. In the sky.
If you get hit, does it?
So it's about? It's in the sky.
Can you roll a bit?
Yeah, you said that.
I thought I was going to be able to get more of them
because I thought it was going to be a ring.
I thought I could do an oval, but I can't.
That's okay.
So they both get a dexterity saving throw.
The one on the left.
Can you move it?
Ooh, that's a 13.
Sweet.
Failure on the one on the left, the one on the right.
That is going to be, I believe, a success to the 25.
Yeah. Damn.
All right, so go ahead and roll your 6d8 slashing damage.
It's 6d10.
Sorry, 6d10, my bad.
Woo!
6d10.
There's no way Laura has 6d10.
Do you need to borrow some d10?
Shut up.
Three, four. Actually, two. Yeah Shut up. Three, four, five.
I'll just do five.
What?
Sit.
I'll do the other one.
Stop it.
I'm sorry, I'm dumb, y'all.
I love, are you kidding?
We take forever.
Ooh, this is a good roll.
15, 20, 20 plus 16 is 36.
Mm-hmm.
Plus another eight.
Whoa! Whoa!
All right, so 44.
Damn. Damn.
I took 10 minutes for that, I'm sorry.
No, it's worth it.
So as the two get tossed around in there,
the blade skirting by,
most of their psychic shields deflect most of the impact,
but it carves through the majority
of all of their shared shields.
Okay.
Sure.
Sure, sure.
All righty.
So they all take that.
The initial shields are just on all of them.
Like temporary hit points,
they are generating temporary hit points,
they are regenerating temporary hit points every turn,
but it's lesser because of the destroyed.
Okay.
Is that the line where you want the blade wall to be?
Sure, but yeah.
But like 10 feet up, you said?
Yeah, so that we can run and don't get damaged.
You got it. Yeah.
Okay, that finishes your turn.
Yeah.
Okay. That was great.
Finishing Jester's turn,
it's going to be the Ego Hunter right here.
This one is going to go ahead
and drift up into the air this way.
Ah!
To that point, like up to the edge of the wall.
Yeah.
I knew this was coming.
Did you move, Jester?
I moved away from the other two.
Okay, good.
Okay.
Let's see if this returns to Mental Evisceration.
It does? Fuck.
Sorry. All right.
It's going to float up there, look at you.
Oh, wait, wait, hold on.
I got it! Yeah, what you got?
I blink out and I'm ethereal!
Okay.
You.
You are currently on the ethereal plane.
Cool. Between spaces.
Fun.
You've condemned us to die.
Drifts up to look towards you.
You vanish out of sight.
I need you to make a wisdom saving throw, Veth.
No, he's, or they are looking at me
through a barrier of blades, right?
Yeah.
So they can't really see me.
You do get, actually, anything.
You get cover?
Yeah, let's see.
It's in the sky, right?
It's a spell, probably. It's in the sky.
Oh, well.
Okay, before he casts, or they cast,
or she casts, or it casts, I don't know what this thing is.
So it goes 30 feet in the air.
If it's casting a spell on me?
It is an ability.
It's not technically a spell, but it's a saving throw.
Then I will use my spell.
So is it 20 feet tall, the wall is?
Yes. 10 feet in the air.
Yeah, so it goes up to 30 feet in the air.
That's two natural ones.
Oh no!
Bro, that's an accomplishment. That's intense natural ones. Oh no! Bro.
That's really, that's an accomplishment.
That's intense.
Okay.
What were you rolling for?
A save of some sort.
Against Mental Evisceration.
Oh!
What? Not with a one.
Let me see what I have, maybe.
Hold on. Shit, fuck.
Mental Evisceration. We are Mental Evisceration.
We are Mental Evisceration!
Thank you, Cleveland!
Sounds pretty metal.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh. This is bad.
Uh-oh. This is real bad.
It goes down after my turn.
You take 76 points of psychic damage.
Halved. Halved.
Halved.
Because I'm resistant.
That's true, yeah.
Thank goodness. Yes, you do.
So take 38 points of psychic damage.
You are evil.
And then make a constitution saving throw
to see if you maintain that.
Still advantage on everything.
Mm-hmm. Still advantage.
15 and an 11. You have to beat us.
Oh, 15 plus what?
Constitution saving throw.
Oh, 24.
Yeah, you maintain your concentration.
Okay.
And you are sluggish.
Oh!
Which means you can only take an action
or a bonus action on your turn.
Can I move?
You can move, but you can only take one or the other.
Yeah, so that's that one.
Oh, my stomach's rumbling.
I feel a little loggy.
Then bonus action is going to fold space 30 feet.
Or don't.
Son of a bitch.
All right.
That's going to finish its turn.
It's now the Sense Render's go.
Let's see if it gets it. Sense Render's go!
It gets its Rend arcana back.
What direction next?
One event, three in a row, goddammit.
Oh man, the sensor under there.
Yeah.
It's going to move down to here.
Uh-oh.
And it's going to go ahead and use Divide Cognition.
His fucking names.
All creatures within 30 feet.
You're ethereal, so they don't even affect you.
But Yasha, Caduceus, and Veth,
I need you all to make a constitution saving throw.
Okay, cool. All of us?
Yep.
We have advantage.
You're doing good. I'm not making it up.
Two ones? Two ones.
No!
Sam!
Ow!
Wow.
So that's four four ones back to back.
So the 20s are coming.
Not bad. What is the statistical
probability of that? That's pretty low.
Pretty low. Should you just go?
Honestly, it's technically the same
statistical probability as any other roll.
Yasha?
23. 23asha? 23.
23.
You succeed.
Caduceus?
10.
10.
As it lowers down,
it puts its arms in front of itself
and the air around you
seems like streak and move,
like your entire consciousness in this space
is being dragged and torn,
and there's a pop sound in the center of both of your heads.
You are both blinded.
Okay.
Oh no.
Oh no.
Okay.
This next, by the way, we got a second.
And then it's going to fold space.
Goddamn it! Back this way. Stop fucking moving! Oh, we got a second. And then it's going to fold space. Goddamn it!
Back this way. Stop fucking moving!
Oh, we're about to get wailed by that dude.
Okay.
Okay. Fuck.
End of its turn,
they're going to spend three of their
combined legendary actions.
Oh my god.
We're going to do Entropic Storm
on those that are triangulated.
Shit.
It's an Entropic Depression. Yeah, this can't get Beauregard on that one.
So this one here,
it's going to get Yasha, Caduceus, and Veth.
I need you all to make
intelligent saving throws for me, please.
Just straight intelligence?
Correct.
Okay.
Hit and roll a one.
Oh, thank god.
You're telling me that it's a one in 160,000th chance.
Oh shit!
To roll four ones in a row.
Okay. Wow.
Yasha? 18.
18 is a fail.
You take no psychic damage,
but you gain a point of exhaustion.
Ooh!
Okay. Which affects skill checks.
Caduceus.
Nat 20 for 21?
Nat 20, that succeeds.
So you take half damage.
You take 21 points of psychic damage.
Gosh.
Okay.
Okay.
But you do not get a point of exhaustion.
17.
17.
With the two natural ones you said, right?
Yeah.
So this was a 17?
Yeah, so that would be a failure.
So you take 42 points of psychic damage.
Halved. Halved.
To 21, make another constitution save on three, please.
Damn. Oh god.
Shit. Natural 20.
Okay. There you go.
That battle cry is saving everyone's ass.
It's gone, though, soon. You do take a point of exhaustion.
Okay. Ow.
Come on. Where do I put that?
Conditions, right?
Caleb, you're up.
So I saw all of that.
You're watching these flashes of energy
and while your friends don't notice,
their brains are in the middle of this psychic soup,
all of your friends, for the most part,
there's blood running from their nose and their ears,
corner of their eyes,
and you watch them get rocked
and almost like they're being dragged around
by an invisible wind falling to a knee.
You see veins bulging in their heads
and you're just standing back,
trying to figure out what to do.
I'm currently blind, sluggish, exhausted.
Oh my god.
Can you remind me what Jester's Wall of Blades is?
It is a straight, five-foot-wide wall of blades.
It's 10 feet off the ground.
It's 10 feet off the ground and 20 feet tall.
It's just.
Is there a room up here, though,
since it's all a map?
At the very top, yes.
Yes.
All right.
Well, actually, the height of the ceiling,
what you have, the 30 feet up,
would be the height of the ceiling.
So the wall, you'd have to go underneath it,
unless you want to pass through it.
You can pass underneath it.
Yeah, okay.
So. I was saying,
because these represent near the top of the chamber.
Caleb says, he sees Veth, goes ballistic,
and says, so we're doing trigonometry today,
all we motherfuckers,
and he will use his Stormrider boots to blast off.
If he has to go through the blades, he will.
Don't do it. To this point.
To get there, he would have to.
Yeah, I will do it.
But couldn't you woo a curve? I don't want to.
I want to do this.
Could you curve up in a move?
Well, it's only temporary, Matt,
so you don't need the miniature,
but he's going to fly right up to here
so that he sees this motherfucker's head
converge with this one. Yeah.
He's going to throw a bunch of
iron filings in the air and blast his hand through it
and cast Gravity Fissure, which is a straight line
from head to head.
This one, if it's within 10 feet of that beam,
which it should be, is also going to get pulled
into that Gravity fissure.
So a line.
Which means they would all be pulled into the?
Well, those two are already in it.
Oh, okay. So you don't take it
by being continued to pull into it.
He would over there.
Okay.
So as you're up in the air,
putting this together,
since the Sunsurrender did receive its Rend Arcana back,
and you are within 30 feet of a crystal
standing up in the air,
it's going to attempt to try and counter your spell,
so this is going to be another roll off.
Okay. So go ahead and roll a d20.
Is he counterspelling or using a feature?
It is a feature that acts as a counterspell.
Okay, so it couldn't counterspell his feature, right?
Technically.
Because it's not a spell?
Right, that's my question. It's not a spell.
I don't think you can, yeah.
Because it's Rend Arcana. it's not a counter spell.
That's fine.
But we still get to roll off to see if it happens.
It's all good. So what am I rolling?
You're rolling a d20
and you're adding your intelligence modifier.
We're deep.
So much, I'm out.
We're deep, we're deep.
We're deep level 20 shit.
It's only a 15. 21.
21, no effect.
The spell goes through Gravity Fissure.
So describe what we see as you open
this dunamantic fissure in the middle of space time.
The air crackles with dark nebulous magic
and a streak that is a foot wide
and just jagged in the air goes
straight through this one's head
all the way across the chamber to the other.
That is 88 force damage on a failed save.
So they have to make constitution saves.
You got it. 22.
All right, so that one there is going to,
constitution save, fail, a 12.
Five, six, seven, eight.
Okay. So how much is that damage?
Eight, five is 13, 16, 20, 26, 28.
32, 36 total.
36 doing that one. Doing that damage.
All right, the other one there.
That is going to be a 24.
Does succeed. So it takes half damage. Yeah, so. So going to be a 24. Does succeed.
So it takes half damage.
Yeah, so. So it'd be plus 15.
Oh no, sorry.
The hell did I say? 18.
Okay. All right.
And then the one across that way fails the two.
Okay.
So that'd be plus another 36.
All right, so that's 18 damage to each of them.
17, but the last of their temporary hit points
have been taken.
Do they get sucked into each other?
The ones that failed do get pulled 10 feet in, right?
Yes. This one succeeded,
but these are the two targets,
so they both stay where they are.
That one manages to pull away.
It still remains in the blade barrier right now,
but the two that you impact
still take the hit and stay where they are.
Now Caleb, with those boots, he did this mid-movement.
He has 90 feet of movement with that flying.
Correct. So he would have
streaked up maybe 30 or 40 feet.
It would have been about 40 feet
to get there at the very top.
And I'm going to use the rest to streak past these
as lightning from the boots goes
and fries them on the flyby.
Then I might have to crash landing a bit,
but I will do that.
So that is just a little bit of lightning damage.
I'd say it would take 40 feet of your movement
to go underneath and up to where you needed to go
without getting the blade barrier.
So whatever refs you have to go there, it's how much?
That's 2d8 lightning damage.
So that is just five for each of them.
Okay. Okay.
And you have 90 feet of movement with your boots?
Yes.
So you would have?
So if I have to crash, I will do that.
50 feet left of movement.
Well, I used some to get up.
40 feet, you said, to get up to where you were.
40, then probably 70-ish,
so then I would go on a straight angle down
to the ground to hopefully not hurt myself.
Use a blade wall?
Off to the side, there is where you would be.
All right.
Okay, well done.
Well done. Finishing Caleb's go.
Ego Hunter.
What was his name?
Ego Hunter.
Just going to see if it's Mental Evisceration.
Actually, his name is Ego.
Would you mind if he, instead of veering down this way,
he'd veered down this way?
Sure, he will go through the blade barrier
if you do it that way. I'll take it.
Okay, so.
Jester. Jester.
Roll your blade barrier damage.
Oh, I did.
Well, should I roll it again?
I just rolled at the start of your turn.
Yeah, so that would be for...
That was 38 points.
38, is there a dex save or?
Oh yeah, it's a dex save.
Okay, so let me roll to see if I make it.
I don't, so I'll use the second of three charges
on the evasion ring to auto-succeed
and I'll take half damage, so the full was what?
38, so it's 17.
Do you still have your Mirror of Images up?
Oh, I do, but that wouldn't affect dexterity stuff.
So 15, 18.
It's 19 points of damage.
Okay, so you come crashing through this blade barrier,
you land on the ground.
Have to get out of that triangle.
All righty.
Now the E-100 does not get his mental evisceration back.
He's going to go ahead and, bonus action,
he's going to go ahead and bend
a fold space to 30-foot teleport.
Jeez.
To there.
That's about as far as I can go from that point.
Did he leave my range?
He teleported out.
So I can't Sentinel him?
Correct, because he does not leave your combat range,
technically, he just appears elsewhere.
That answers that question.
Right.
It's like they knew what our strengths were.
I know, it's like they could watch us.
It's like they could, yeah, study you.
And step in our dreams.
Quick, have confusing dreams to throw them off our scent.
Okay, yeah, it's going to gouge aether twice
on Caduceus.
Cool. We are blinded,
so it has advantage on its attacks against you.
Yep. Fuck a duck.
For that, it's going to be
23 to hit.
Goddamn it.
Okay. Oh no.
So you take a hit. What's going on, Caduceus?
I'm hearing sounds.
What?
You take 27 points of force damage.
Okay, this is not a spell,
and there's no dex save.
Just checking.
27 points of force damage.
Correct.
Now roll an intelligence saving throw.
Cool.
Oof.
Yeah, I might have to do something
pretty wicked in a minute.
Intelligence save, come on.
Oh wow, that was almost awful.
18.
18 fail.
Oh my god!
So roll a d4 for me.
All right. It was awful.
I rolled a 17, man.
Two.
Two, so you lose three levels of spells.
Oh. Three levels of spells.
Of your choice. Of my choice.
The second gouge aether at you.
The advantage is going to be a 29.
That somehow doesn't hit yet.
I'm still losing three levels of spells.
28 points of force damage.
28 points of force damage.
One second, that may be enough.
Hold on.
I'm just, just let me finish losing spell slots.
Three spell slots?
Three levels of spell slots.
I'm down.
Caduceus crumbles unconscious onto the floor.
Pop Death Ward, ha ha!
It's the second one, there you go.
Does that mean blindness goes away because I dropped?
I know, blindness goes away when you go unconscious
and come back. No, because you never
went unconscious. Technically, because you never went unconscious.
Technically, are you sure?
It reduces you to one hit point.
I thought it popped you back up.
Let me double check. Double check.
But you're probably right.
But also the blindness effect doesn't go away
when you go unconscious. I know.
The effect is still there.
The power reboot!
Power reboot!
Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
Turning your cleric off and on again?
Yeah. Yeah, no, you're right. All right.
But go ahead and roll another
intelligent saving throw for me, please.
All right.
I'm going to lose this one, I'm well aware.
I am so stressed.
Yeah, I rolled 15s. I'm fucked.
All right, so roll a d4 for me.
All right.
Oh my god, I'm fucked.
Four. Four?
So you lose five levels of spell slots. Ah. Oh my god, I'm fucked. Four. Four, so you lose five
levels of spell slots. Yep, five.
Okay.
Okay, okay, okay.
That's worse than being dead.
That sucks. You should've stayed dead.
You just stay down.
Just lay down.
All right, I'll figure that out.
Play Pawsome.
Is that one fifth level, or a third and a two?
One fifth level, or a fourth and a first,
or five first levels, or however you want to differentiate.
How do you want to screw this?
Losing a third and a second.
I literally was thinking,
at least we have a decent amount of spells going in.
Oh my god.
He's going to move. That's brutal.
I do not have a lot of spells left.
No, that's not true. I'm okay.
Yes, you are.
He's going to move.
It's still the top of...
Over here.
I don't know, I feel like they keep moving.
Yeah, they're trying to triangulate.
Stupid geometry.
I thought you were going to reduce it
something a little lower.
Smart guys.
Here's my question.
Even though Caduceus is down,
do we still, ish,
do we still have the vulnerability on the crystals?
Yeah.
Because it's not the top of his turn yet.
Not the top of my turn yet.
So they're still purple.
It was also granted by a divine being.
Divine being.
Yeah.
Oh yeah, I have to roll to see if my spell stays up,
Asa.
Correct.
I don't think it was an invulnerability.
How many times do I have to roll?
Con save?
Both times you took damage.
Okay, so con save. Con solution save.
Crystals are pretty awesome.
20? Mm-hmm.
20 is good, yeah.
The crystals are hurting so much.
19, 21, 24.
Yeah, you're fine.
So you maintain that.
Weaken us and then buff them.
All right.
And now it's going to be.
I might blow a cannon.
It's also a key thing for generating. Wherever you end up, anybody can throw. Now it's going to be this. I might blow it and I do.
Wherever you end up, anybody in 30 feet.
Now it's going to be the manipulator's turn,
which is right this guy up here.
This is an envious turn.
Amygdala?
Oh yeah, you're going.
Manipulator. Manipulator.
Let's see if it gets its word pop back.
Oh my god. It does.
Everybody loves selection. Of course it does.
This one is going to go ahead and...
So you're up, Caduceus, right?
I'm one point, but I'm like, ooh!
Yep. It's going to go ahead and shift down 10 feet,
and it's going to use Horde Puppet on you, Beauregard.
Oh my god.
I'd like you to make a wisdom saving throw.
Not a spell, right?
Not a spell. Okay.
You said the first attacks on the crystals were vulnerable.
The first hit against them.
But like a ranged Eldritch Blast is not a?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, okay.
So 16 or 19? 16.
Saving throw, so that's 26.
Nice.
26 is a success.
Oh, whew.
I read one or two.
Dang, I haven't been able to get that go off yet once.
Fucking sorry, BB.
No, it's good. It's good.
I mean, it was well planned. You've done so much.
We're decimated.
It's fine. I don't feel bad.
We got fucking circles on all our players and everything.
We're the cleric.
Our one cleric.
All your enemies are standing!
I'm just going to go ahead and shift over this way.
I fucking hate all of it. They're trying for it.
I'm just going to stay there.
All right, finishing its go.
Veth, you're up with Yasha on deck.
First off, first off,
are we counting Caduceus' dying on that turn?
Because that's 1,000 gold.
How much do I get for killing both of you?
I know how to hide a body.
It was two Gs if you go down.
Earn one if someone else does.
But I was betting for someone going down.
So was I. Oh, fuck!
Oh!
You didn't make that clear.
I'm blind right now.
I got 300 that I can still score a hit while blind.
Deal. Okay.
I'm going to move towards this guy up there.
Miss.
On the pedestal.
Where the arch used to be.
Okay. Yes.
And I'm going to use...
I think Matt might need some help.
It's fine, I'm getting there.
Further, further, or there?
I could get some help.
Do you?
Is that as far as I can go?
Your movement is 30.
You want to get outside that triangle?
You can get five more feet that way.
I'll just walk around behind.
Well, first let me get it first.
Has your, like...
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, it's about there.
So I will Shocking Grasp that dude.
Is he wearing any metal?
There are metal bits of his adorned equipment
and armor.
So I will attack him with advantage.
All right, you have disadvantage because you're blind.
But I don't because he's within 10 feet of me
and I can see anything within 10 feet of me.
Ha ha ha ha ha! Nice!
Awesome. Ranged attack.
That is... Ranged attack!
It's what I thought you meant, you bitch.
Fucking hustler, man. This is blind sense.
Yeah, yeah.
If I'm able to hear, I'm able to be aware
of the location of any hidden or invisible creature.
Correct. Does that count
if I'm blind?
They're not invisible.
No, no. Yeah.
No, it's within 10 feet.
Yeah, you can totally.
So then I will attack with advantage.
Yeah, with advantage. Go for it.
Walking through a house at night
and not stepping on Luke's Lego.
That's right.
Double one.
Two 12s,
which is plus nine, 21?
That hits.
Yes!
Silvery barbs!
From another campaign.
Just 16 points of shocking,
or of electric damage, lightning damage,
whatever it's called.
Plus they can't take reactions
until the start of its next turn.
Right.
And I'm out of the fucking triangle.
Yeah.
Unless it moves five feet.
Okay.
And that one that you did that to is the Eagle Hunter,
so no reaction.
Okay.
Got it.
That's all I can do. No bonus action allowed.
All right, that finishes Veth's go.
Yasha, you're up with Caduceus on deck.
Okay, so I am going to move up
so I can get a Sentinel situation with that boy up there.
Okay, whereabouts?
I'll just get in front, maybe just turn around,
as close as I need to get.
There you mean? Yeah, to get that advantage
and to take a swing.
Fuck yes, Masha.
Oh, I'm going to try to hit him.
All right, so I'm going to hit him,
and I get advantage because of the Sentinel situation.
Right, am I making this up? Because you're flanking.
Because I'm flanking, I mean. You are flanking.
Okay.
All right, sir.
23.
That hits. Great.
Okay, so first hit.
Oh, do I get to save for blindness?
Oh, you do, yeah.
At the end of my constitution's day.
Okay.
I'm going to...
300, you fail to save. I'm going to 300 and fail to save.
I'm going to reroll this. You're on.
That is a 25.
25 succeeds.
You're on your last chance.
Marisha, do you take off that blind token for me?
No!
Not trying to rub it in, you're just the closest to it.
Weren't you?
Oh no.
Oh no, I'm stuck blind forever.
Yeah, sorry about that.
There you go, thank you.
T-feats?
Great. The teeniest attack.
Oof.
Key, I love when you do that so much.
Okay, so now 2d8, find and rate.
Great.
I have a dead.
Oh, because they were updated,
which means they're going to lose battery so much longer.
All right, so we've got...
You mean an oranges and bananas one?
Sorry.
Let me help. Let me help.
Christ. It's stupid. Sorry. Let me help. Let me help. Christ.
It's stupid.
It's not plugged in.
It's not charging for some reason.
Stupid.
Okay, so 17 points of slashing.
Yep.
Five points of fire damage.
Okay.
15 points of radiant damage. Okay. 15 points of radiant damage.
Okay, for 37 total.
And another...
And a tail of a donkey.
13 points of radiant damage.
Okay, stop first strike.
You're doing a second attack?
Yes, I'll do a second attack.
Mm-hmm.
Oh, that was almost so good.
I don't think that hits. 16?
16.
No.
Do you get another attack?
No! You don't get three attacks?
No, I get two.
You get 50 points of damage, though.
Even at level 20?
Yeah.
Bonus action?
Something?
Let me see if I got anything else in my bonus actions,
but I don't think I do the ice.
Big, heavy overhand swipe
strikes it after the shocking grasp through its armor
is already jolting through its body.
It impacts, and all five of them
wince from the impact, sharing the damage amongst them,
all the crystals flashing as they do.
Damn.
That's my turn. Okay. That's my turn.
Okay. That's my turn,
and I'm going to stay there.
Caduceus, you're up. Just keep them in.
Have I seen these guys close enough
to see if they have eyes out of curiosity?
Well.
Great. Great.
The one that's closest to you,
you would if you weren't blind.
Okay, so I'm going to start by casting Heal myself.
Casting Heal on yourself? Yeah.
So I just pull out a little mud and I wipe it
from my pocket and I wipe the wet, mossy mud
over my eyes because it heals that,
and I get my sight and 70 points back.
Whoa. Hold on a second.
Hold on before you do that.
Uh-oh. Yes, you're going to try to arcane.
Arcane cock block you. What are they doing?
Yeah, you're within 60 feet.
He's going to use his reaction to use Dampen Divinity.
Anybody want to?
Okay. Through what?
So your spell continues,
but you heal half as much.
Okay.
35.
As it absorbs the divine power
out of your heal spell into itself.
Into the spell?
No, it doesn't heal itself.
It doesn't, okay.
But it just, it...
Steal the heal.
You good there?
No. Steal the heal.
She was making a cool rhyme, but didn't get it out.
Yeah, no, that didn't work great.
Okay, I'll take my hits.
That's my action.
I'm going to turn around.
Does this guy, does he have eyes?
You are blind, you don't know.
I fixed my, my eyesight's back.
He'll heal that. Heal, he'll cure that as well?
Oh yeah, then you glancing around in that direction,
underneath its massive helmet
and its head-adorned headdress,
you can see the blackened shark-like eyes
that sit within its Ryloran face,
sunken deep into the ridges of its skull.
As you focus on it,
you have a hard time focusing on its eyes,
almost like it's pressing your attention away
from meeting its gaze psychically.
Rude.
I use my bonus action to end
the holy weapon.
Which does what?
Anybody within 30 feet that I choose.
Oh.
Yeah, where are we?
It's got an EMP blast? It's got an EMP blast?
It's got an EMP blast.
Where is my holy weapon?
Sorry, I'm trying to find it.
There we are. I didn't know you could do that.
Let's see.
You can dismiss a spell causing the weapon
to emit a burst of radiance.
Each creature of your choice that you can see
within 30 feet of the weapon
must make a constitution saving throw.
Okay.
That is not a spell I have ever taken.
So, ooh, that's going to be must make a constitution saving throw. Okay. That is not the spell I have ever taken. Okay, so.
Ooh, that's going to be a fail.
It's going to burn legendary resistance to succeed.
Okay.
It still is going to take,
it's going to take half the damage
that it's going to take anyway.
Correct.
So, but boo.
Is there anybody else within 30 feet that I want to hurt?
No, not really.
I feel like they've been hit a little bit.
Ugh, not great.
They're surrounded by golden decks?
They're, every time one of them gets hit,
it's divided amongst all five of them.
So all five of them have taken a little bit of damage.
They're showing a little wear and tear.
Eight points of radiant damage.
Eight points of radiant damage.
Happy Counting, which is...
All righty.
All right.
I'm going to move,
now that that's my action and bonus action,
I'm going to move,
I'm going to try and get out of the triangulation.
Okay, so 30 feet which way?
I think this way would get me out of there.
So five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, there?
Yeah, about there, if that does it.
Sure.
Okay, that finishes Caduceus' turn.
At the top, Beauregard, you are up
at the top of the initiative order with Fjord on deck.
Okay.
Is this guy in the blade, the walls,
blade wall? He currently is, yes.
If he moves in that blade wall, does he get hit again?
If he gets shoved around?
Does he get shoved around?
If he leaves it and gets pushed back in.
Yes.
Or if he starts his turn in it.
Yeah.
So he will get hit if he stays put.
Correct.
Yeah, when it's his turn, he will take damage.
His turn is after Fjord's.
He goes right before Jester's.
So at the start of his turn, he will take damage.
After Fjord.
All right, all right.
I think I can actually possibly...
Five.
40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70.
70? Okay.
70 is your speed?
I might be able to make it to this guy.
Yep, that'll get you into melee.
Okay. Sweet.
Fucking parkour over there.
Wow. Get his ass.
Can I get here?
No, unfortunately, 70 feet gets you on the steps.
Next to Yasha.
But I mean, if I jumped up this wall instead
and swung wide?
You started here.
You just mean that's a straight path,
so no, it wouldn't.
That's okay.
It's a straight shot to get there.
That's okay.
Well, I'm technically base to base.
I'm just on this.
Huh? I see you yet?
No. Cool.
Oh, you're still invisible. I'm still invisible.
I can smell her. What the seen you yet? No. Cool. Oh, you're still invisible. I'm still invisible. I can smell her.
What the fuck is bub?
She doesn't have her bait.
What does she smell like?
She likes it. I'm into it.
She likes my natural musk.
I like her natural pheromones.
Yeah.
That's called back to you.
But she shaves her boots, right?
Hop, hop, hop.
Does she shave her boots? Oh wait,
do I still have advantage?
No, because her turn is done.
Okay.
Well, one's a natural 19 and the other is a one.
Okay, so the one 19 hits, the one does not.
Okay.
So if the 19 pop.
Yeah, I'll take that.
That's fine, it's not that cocked.
So that is going to be 15 damage.
15 damage, all righty.
Stunning Strike.
Let's go for it.
Come on.
And if one is stunned, they're all stunned.
That's how it works, right?
And if one of them dies, they all die.
I mean, actually, technically, that's true.
That is what would happen.
If they die in their nightmare, they die in real life.
If they die in the game, they die in real life. If they die in the game, they die in the game.
All right, so that's a constitution saving throw.
Yeah, 300, they fail.
Okay. That is a natural two.
Going to spend another Listener Resistance.
Oh, oh!
Well, they still failed.
But they still failed!
They still failed.
Our magnate succeeds.
I'm going to call that a match.
The deal is, they're on my side. I think Veth takes that one.. No, that's it. The deal is they're on my side.
I think Veth takes that one.
You guys decide what you want.
Yeah. The rules is written.
Rules is written is you can use
the Legendary Resistance to automatically succeed.
That's so well. You all can debate.
That's balls.
I'm taking the money.
But that's fine.
No!
Bam.
You owe her so much imaginary money.
It's okay.
I'm rich.
I'm imaginary rich. Wait, when did Beau get rich?
She has tenure.
Yeah, I'm ten-yeah.
She's a lioness. She's a lioness!
She's a lioness!
Yeah, I come from money.
Oh yeah.
I get that sweet life insurance policy.
Would he leave his stuff to you?
Probably not.
A pop pop!
He will after I do some modified memory on him.
Oh!
That's a good use.
She has a brother up high.
That's true.
Okay.
Flurry of Blows.
I have a small piece of stuff.
It's the pop pop of the month, let's go, yeah.
Why do you think our shipping company is going to fail?
One is going to fail, but the other is,
hang on, let me mark this to confirm,
the other is going to be...
Dabba dabba dabba dabba dabba.
Dabba dabba dabba dabba dabba dabba dabba.
21.
21 hits.
12? No, no, 22.
22 hits. 22 hits.
But you were happy. But you burn them.
Okay.
17 damage. Okay.
And then Extract Aspects.
Ooh! Yeah!
Extract the Aspects.
Okay, what do you want to know?
Because it wasn't saying that specifically,
remind me. With Extract As that is. Okay, what do you want to know? Because it wasn't saying that specifically, it reminds me. With Extract Aspects,
I analyze a creature.
When I hit a creature with one of the attacks
granted by my Flurry of Blows, which I just did,
I can analyze it.
When I run out of energy, I miss this.
Okay, I don't care.
Additionally, I learn all of its damage,
vulnerabilities, resistances, immunities,
and condition immunities.
Okay, yeah.
So they're resistant to psychic damage.
Okay. Shocking.
And they are immune to being blinded, charmed.
Good to know.
Frightened and paralyzed.
Frightened and paralyzed.
They're immune to that. Yeah.
I will also, not that you haven't picked up on this,
but their communal abilities are all bound
to the present crystals in this field.
Mm. Okay.
So we got to knock those crystals out.
All right. You don't have to.
Which we think would help.
Yeah, it would help if they were all of the crystals.
But because you're extracting the aspects
as you strike it and pull its energy
to understand and merge your spiritual energy
with itself for a second,
you feel suddenly connected like a relay
to all the remaining crystals in the chamber
and the other ones before you pull out of it.
You're like, okay, so everything here is 10.
Everything, every little bit helps.
Okay. The choice is yours.
And do they have any?
To clarify, this is all just,
these four here are just background.
Okay, so just props.
It's these, that, and those.
Okay. Oh, fuck.
And the circle, yeah.
Fuck.
So you shout that out to your buddies?
This one's taking a big hit.
Yeah.
Right, because Jester hit that one, right?
Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, I just say out loud,
the crystals are giving them their combined shit.
Who said that?
Oh yeah, I'm also right next to you.
Ah!
The Wild Mother's returned.
Okay, so they persist in psychic immunities
to blind, charmed, frightened, paralyzed.
Correct.
Do they have any vulnerabilities?
No vulnerabilities, no.
And no condition immunities?
Correct.
Or those are their condition. And no damage immunities? But no damage immunities, no. And no condition immunities? Correct. Or those are their commission.
And no damage immunities? But no damage immunities, no.
Okay.
I say, avoid psychic.
Everything else is fair game.
Can any of us do psychic damage?
I can.
But I won't.
Hang on.
Oh, my bad.
Sorry. But wait.
But wait. Wait. No, wait. I was like, that was my bonus attack. No, wait. Wait. In. But wait. But wait. Wait.
No wait.
I was like, that was my bonus attack.
No wait.
That was your movement, your action, your bonus action.
That's it? And you're a force ghost.
All right. And I'm a force ghost.
Yep. Okay.
That is it.
I'm going to move five feet
just one direction over this way a little bit.
Yeah, you're going to whack it.
I'm going to send the first of
four Eldritch Blasts, goddamn!
Let's go!
Towards the one that you were just pointing at.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Jester's.
Jester's all jiggity-jack-jack.
Okay, so the first attack, roll that and damage.
24 to hit.
That hits, go ahead and roll damage on that one.
Okay, that is 1d10.
Seven, 12, 12 points of damage.
12 points of damage, okay.
And it's how much damage?
Force damage. Force damage.
It impacts and the crack
spirals all through it,
more so than you expected from a blast of your spell.
Force damage. Force damage.
Force damage is the key.
Cool, I'll try it again.
Same one, 12, 20.
No, they're gone.
23 to hit. Yeah, one round.
That hits.
One round.
My buddy.
Nine, 14 points of force damage.
Nice, nice.
Okay.
Zick.
It's you.
Oh man.
Managed to tear that crystal into shards.
It flies and scatters across the room,
raining against the wall and gathered in the far corner.
With that crystal, the three,
or the three that are nearest to you,
but the whole Weave Mine,
and you watch as the focus suddenly shifts to you down below.
Oh shit.
They were all directed to that area,
but they're starting to remember that you're present.
I got two more, and I'm just going to throw them down
at the little circle in the diocese there.
Let's go. Okay.
Diocese?
Dias?
Yes, that warm hall. 27.
This is which one?
The circle on the floor.
There, yeah, that hits.
That's six.
11 points of damage.
Okay.
Blast through the night. Last one.
That would be, wait, 11,
but that was the first hit on it.
So that's now.
That only was for the last turn.
What? I thought it was the first hit on it.
Until his next turn.
Until the end of my turn, it was one round.
Why did you do that?
Because that's all how it works.
Because it is an extremely powerful ability
that just happened.
It's not my fault that no one took it well.
I should've spread it.
I tried. Yeah, you did.
People did, we did well.
It's all good.
24 for the last one?
Yeah, yeah, we have one round to hit.
And then eight, five, 13 points got force damage. 13 points of force damage
for the second shot into the dice.
Both blast into it.
It is extremely damaged, but still holding on.
It's pulsing and flickering in the center.
Okay, okay, okay.
You hear the voices in your mind.
You fool.
We'll tear you and your friends apart.
I hear it. Your home will be ours.
I walk towards the edge. Our people will infect
and rend and make what was yours.
No, no, no!
I'll fall off the side,
and as I'm falling towards the ground, I'll vanish,
and I want to far step underneath this bridge,
tucked under it. Ah, cool!
Sick!
Cool.
That's my turn.
Hell yeah. All right, finishing Fjord's go. That's much better. Hell yeah.
All right, finishing Fjord's go.
That brings us now to 20,
which means they get their legendary actions back.
All of them refill some of their temporary hit points here
at a lesser amount with the Shattered Crystals.
And Matty, just right here. I'll be under this one just for ref. We don't have to And Maddie just, right here.
I'll be under this one just for ref.
We don't have to move it under this corner.
Yeah, I'll go over there, yeah.
Okay.
With that, we're going into...
Yeah, we're going to do Draennerv as the new.
Draennerd?
Yes. No!
Draennerd.
That's not going to affect me.
I'm not a nerd.
Ha ha, yeah, right.
You've been around us too long.
Okay.
Tell me more about Akabar.
This guy starts his turn in the Blade Barrier.
He's going to make a dex save,
and he fails.
So Laura, go ahead and roll your 60, 10, isn't it?
Nerd on Nurd, correct.
Okay.
11, 16, 20, 27, 29 points.
All right.
Forcing. Wait, wait, here's the Force.
Yeah, I mean, Force.
Force. Force is good.
By the way, Spiritual weapon does force damage,
not radiant damage.
That would've been good to know.
That would've been good to know.
But now we know going forward.
All righty.
So.
We won't be able to get to any other weapon.
This guy takes the damage and then shifts
out of the blade beam.
He's going to turn back this way, focused.
Let's see.
Versus the manipulator here.
Manipulator.
Oh yeah, so that's the manipulator.
He is the, no, he's the other manipulator, he is.
See if he gets his horde puppet back.
What can I do?
What can I do?
Does get it back.
Uh-oh, he's going to try this stupid horde puppet thing.
Mm-hmm.
On Boreyasha?
Or Caleb?
Or Fjord?
All of them, everybody's with him.
Are you under the bridge, Fjord?
Mm-hmm. That's cool.
I'm under the bridge!
I'm under the bridge!
I'm under the bridge!
I'm under the bridge!
I'll say in the instant, Doug, that they're...
You didn't hide, but you vanished from sight
into a place they did not see.
Their mental awareness of being able to read minds nearby
would, at most times, make them able
to acknowledge your placement.
However, they're also a little scrambled
from the destruction of the crystals around them.
So I'm going to say it does not know you're there.
All right.
So instead, it's going to go ahead and...
Underneath here,
to that side,
beneath the blade barrier. I don't know.
It's going to go ahead and telekinetic blast Caleb.
Yeah, okay.
Is this a dex save or?
No, it's just an attack roll against you.
An attack roll, so I have to roll
for my three mirror images.
Correct, so it's 23 to hit?
Yeah, hits.
Okay, so roll for the first one.
That's a one.
Oh, buddy.
Level 20.
All right.
So that's going to be
31 points of force damage. Okay.
Make a strength save for me.
Okay.
That is a 10.
10.
It lodges you in the air,
and you land an impact,
taking an additional one point of bludgeoning damage.
Okay, okay.
I'm a little ouchy.
Okay, okay.
You're not as ouchy as Veth, though, right?
You concentrating on spell at the moment? You're more ouchy than me. No, I have no concentrationsy. Okay, okay. A little ouchy. Probably not as ouchy as Veth, though, right? You concentrating on spell at the moment?
You're more ouchy than me.
No, I have no concentrations up.
Okay.
Yeah, mirror image.
Oh!
No, never mind, never mind.
He's going to go ahead and do Teleconnect Blast again.
It has a range of 120 feet.
I don't know if Caduceus is in there.
It can see me?
Yeah, it can.
Yes, it can, actually.
Come over here. It's not the blade barrier,
and that doesn't block you entirely,
but you do have half cover.
It's a three-quarters cover,
so you get bonus to your AC.
But you are within range,
so it's going to attack you.
For three-quarters cover,
you get plus five bonus to your AC.
Okay, still going to nail it.
That's going to be 25? No. That misses. It misses. Okay. Still going to nail it. That's going to be a 25?
No!
That misses. It misses.
Okay.
Might be the, wow, wow.
What the?
There's all this dust suddenly.
Ah, all right.
Then at the end of its turn,
it's going to fold space over this way.
All right, finishing its turn,
Jester, you're up, you return into your space.
All right.
If I can move 20 feet, was it going to reach that?
It's probably not going to reach this crystal.
Are you talking about moving your lollipop?
My spiritual weapon wouldn't hit that.
I can move 20 feet in a turn, right?
Yeah. So it would go,
it wouldn't get the full distance, no.
But can it get to the guy?
It can, yeah.
Okay, then I'll get it up there.
10, 15, 20.
And it's going to try to hit the guy?
Let's go.
Oh!
You did succeed! He got him.
27.
27 definitely hits.
Okay.
Kill him.
Did the crystal set have a national barrier
at the beginning? It is.
Did the roll of the die and minused it or something?
No.
20 points.
Of force damage. Of force damage.
That was a layer action. Yes.
20 points of force damage to the guy.
To the guy? Awesome.
How's everybody looking?
A little rough. Ouchy.
I'm okay.
I'm fine. You're beautiful.
They're starting to look a little hurt.
Oh, really? I believe mine.
They're starting to show a little wear and tear.
What does that mean? A little bloodied.
A little bloodied?
I don't know what that means.
Yeah, but like...
I think I have a nosebleed.
Does that mean that's lower than 50 health points
or lower than 100 health points?
Tell us exactly, man.
That's always the question.
No.
No!
So Jester, what would you like to do?
Fuck.
You know.
Is it time for a real heal?
I mean, up to you.
You're about to die.
Yeah, I'm doing okay.
On another hit, though.
On another hit, I'm bad.
Actually, at the end of the last turn,
before it comes to your turn.
Oh, I didn't say that out loud.
Damn it.
Do you want a donut, Matt?
Do you want a donut right now?
I'm okay.
Yeah, these are actually,
it's Chris's birthday.
For this guy to go ahead and...
Distract.
He's going to fold space to there.
So would I have been able to hit him with my, I could...
I'll say you can, so yeah, sorry, at the end of that.
So if you want to do that, you can move him,
this here to hit him, yeah. Okay.
What was the Wavemind's plan?
What do you know about tranks?
Oh no.
Ugh. Ugh.
Okay.
Fuck.
Can you physically back up out of that triangle?
Yeah, I'm going to try to move out of the triangle.
Get out of that.
All right.
Might be time for a heal, I don't know.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Just leave. The door's technically closed, six, seven.
Just leave. The door's technically closed.
Oh, right.
This is out of the triangle.
I guess if I'm next to Caduceus,
I'm out of the triangle, right?
Unless they move the triangle, yeah.
Currently, I'm out of the triangle.
That's your max movement, though.
Okay. Oh, the triangle.
And I'm within 30 feet of all of these guys?
Yeah, I think so. Yeah?
Yeah. But you don't.
I'm going to Mass Heal.
Okay.
I'm going to 9th-level up some healing for you guys.
Clare just rolled out.
How much?
On character.
I'm going to Mass Heal.
I know they're probably going to cut it.
No, you divvy it up.
I'm going to divvy up 700 hit points,
but I know they're probably going to take away half of it.
Oh, yeah. 350.
Let's see.
Well, that guy does not get a reaction
because of you. Okay.
He already took one.
I don't think he's within 80 feet of that guy.
So he doesn't get a reaction.
This guy is within 80 feet of Caleb, so he he doesn't get a reaction. This guy, this guy's within 80 feet of Caleb,
so he could technically get Caleb or Beau.
This one could get Caduceus or.
But they can see Beau.
Yeah, so that's the range there.
Okay. And then we can't see him.
So I'm going to try to get Caduceus up to full.
Hey, Caduceus, how much would that heal you?
That would be math, one second.
That would be math. Five, six? That would be math. One second. That would be math.
Five, six.
It would be 131 points.
Okay, so you heal for half of that
as he uses his reaction to.
That's up to you. To take it?
Can I hit him again?
No, because it all happens at once.
But if you're doing math,
you can, yeah, throw a tip.
So that's 131 gone, right? And then how much do you need? mass, you can, yeah, throw a tip, a bunch of people. So that's 131 gone, right?
And then how much do you need?
I'll hit 96.
Okay.
This heal is so good.
Yeah, and how much do you need?
Okay, you have 80.
How much do you need?
21.
You take it all.
What about you, Yasha?
35.
All right, you take it all.
Okay. And I need however much is the rest, and that? 35. All right, you take it all. Okay.
I need however much is the rest, and that's plenty.
Great, there you go.
Wait, you're not within 30 feet of me, 40.
Sorry, Tia. Sorry, my bad.
Listen, Mr. Bachelor Party,
Mr. Always Saying Yay, I'm Single Again,
maybe it's coming back to haunt you.
Ooh!
Ooh!
Co-bachelor, bachelorette party.
Amazing.
You guys have to stay together.
We already sold out.
We're in Rain City.
By divine, what's it?
You were in range for the other, actually.
So how much would you give?
So I'm happy for all of us?
Whatever you feel would have been happening.
So I got four. I'm happy, and honestly.
Boy, do you still need the number for that stripper?
I think we're going to do that.
What?
You asked me to find you one!
Are you available?
Jester, does that finish your turn?
Bonus action, move, move, action, right?
Okay. Where's Lollipop's going? Lollipop already attacked. Where'd I go? Finishing Jester, did I finish your turn? Bonus action, move, move, action, right? Okay. Where's Lollipop's going?
Lollipop already attacked.
Where'd I go?
Finishing Jester's go,
that means it's going to go to
the ego hunter on the far end.
It really gets its reaction back.
It's a lezzo.
All right, does it get its?
It's a lezzo.
It's much better.
It does not get its mental evisceration back.
So instead, it will gouge Aether.
Oh, wait, little bit.
Blake.
Nope, I'm still up.
Okay.
It's going to gouge Aether.
Can I say?
That was clutch, Jester.
That was really clutch.
Thanks.
We're going to win now.
It's going to gouge Aether once to you, Caduceus,
and then gouge Aether once to you, Caleb.
Gouge my Aether.
Yeah. Am I undercover or no?
You have half cover from where it's standing.
All right.
But that is a natural 19, so it's a 32 to hit you.
Misses. No, it doesn't.
All right.
What is gouging Aether?
I don't know. It's where you lose the spell slots.'t. All right. Wait, what is gouging either? I don't know.
It's where you lose your spell slots.
Yeah, that is going to be
24 points of force damage.
Okay. And I need you to make
an intelligence saving throw.
Okay.
And I no longer have advantage
on the intelligence saving throw, do I?
Nahr. Correct.
Nahr, okay.
Nahr, nahr. Nahr, nahr.
All right, and intelligence saving throw.
There, but for the grace of gods, go we.
Hello? Yes?
13.
13.
13, okay, so you take 1d4 plus one spell slots.
Mind weavers are eating your lunch!
Or levels as well.
So two.
Yeast? Ah, ah, ah, ah.
Oh, that was so close to a natural 20.
All right, Caleb, it's going to be 30 to hit you.
All right, so maybe one of my mirrors
will serve me this time.
Nope.
Oh, come on.
Come on, Caleb!
I want to trade so much!
I know! It just has to be to six.
I know!
Bro.
They look cool, though.
They look so cool.
Three Johnny Torches here.
31 points of force damage.
Dang it!
I need you to make an intelligence saving throw.
Oh!
He just comes with his own fire spares.
They were dodging it on purpose.
15. Roll a d4.
Okay.
Where's my d4?
There it is.
It's a four.
You lose five levels of spells.
All right.
You have your choice.
Okay.
Weezer.
That is insane.
I would be, how many?
Give it a toe. I would freak out.
You did that wrong.
You did that wrong. There it is.
No, you still did it wrong.
What? You're not losing five slots.
No, that's a first level.
That second level is two. Correct, it's five levels of spell slots. No, that's a first level. That second level is two.
Correct, it's five levels of spell slots.
Yes, so you clear your second levels.
Clear them, clear.
No, no, no, I mean, they're all gone.
Yeah, oh, you mean block them out.
Yeah, but you don't have to touch the thirds.
Huh?
You could use. You take one level first
and two second levels.
Each of the second levels are two levels.
For five total.
So five, that's five total.
So tiers are gone?
No.
No, five spell slots. I got it.
It's like five first levels.
This is the first game this has ever been in.
So you could theoretically lose one fifth level spell slot.
Or you could lose a fourth and a first.
Or three and a two.
How many more?
I don't even know what I pressed anymore.
I remember.
Just do my work for me.
I will.
You're good. Great, friendship. Get rid you badgered me. Just do my work for me. I will. You're good.
Great, friendship.
Get rid of the low-level ones.
Going to fold space into the corner over there.
Sam or Liam, you can go ahead and move
that corner to that corner. I don't feel like it ever.
What if you get an attack from here?
No, because he teleported.
Boo.
Just like.
We're all on a triangle again.
Are we triangulated? That's going to end its turn. Shit. We really are. At the end of its turn, they're going to use three. Oh, this is bad. Fiboo. Just like. We're all on a triangle again.
That's going to end its turn.
Shit. At the end of its turn,
they're going to use three of its legendary actions
to do Entropic Storm.
It's going to hit everybody except for Fjord,
who is currently on a fucking bridge.
I tried to back up.
All right, so I need all of you
to make an intelligence saving throw.
Oh, come on.
What is this, intelligence?
Oh god.
And we don't...
No, that was good.
Is this intelligence saving throw?
Really good expression.
Intelligence saving throw.
Damn it.
Oh no.
Damn it.
Okay. It's the weakest thing.
11.
11 is a fail.
You take 55 points of second damage.
Oh!
Which I don't? Which you have.
Which you don't.
No, you take none. Oh, not at all.
Yeah, I don't at all.
You do take a point of exhaustion.
I take another point of exhaustion?
Boom. Shit.
I think it is. You got to start a shot.
Slows you, I think.
Yeah.
That's two levels of exhaustion?
Yeah. Jeez Louise.
So I do half your movement. It'll tell you
what level two does. Rough.
Speed halved, yeah. Caduceus.
Speed halved. Fail.
Shit, okay.
All right, so that's 55 points of psychic damage.
Mm-hmm.
And then you take a point of exhaustion.
Boo.
Wait, what is your roll, Caduceus?
Nine.
Jester? 14.
14, 55 points of psychic damage.
Take a point of exhaustion.
Beth?
26.
26, a success.
So you only take half of that,
but then you're also still resistant
because you maintained the spell, right?
Correct.
So that would be 27 halved to 13.
13 points of psychic damage.
17.
17, you take 55 points of psychic damage.
Mind blank, so no psychic damage.
That's right, no psychic damage,
but you do take a point of exhaustion.
One point of exhaustion, so ability checks.
What about you? 23.
23 is a success, so you only take
27 points of psychic damage and do not take any exhaustion.
Which is halved again. Correct.
Because? Because that's 14.
Or no, half of 27 is 13.
Because you are full diamond.
Correct. I also just rolled
to maintain my concentration.
I rolled a 13, so that's a 22. Yeah, you're fine. Okay. I rolled a 23 rolled to maintain my concentration. I rolled a 13, so that's a 22.
Yeah, you're fine.
I rolled a 23 total to maintain my concentration.
Yeah, you're great.
All right, cool.
That's going to finish.
Let's go.
Now we move over to...
These guys are pissed.
The sense render.
Sense render.
Sense render.
Another thing?
Yeah.
Yeah, the two that go in a row in that order.
Pick up that dice later.
All right, so it does not get its Divide Recognition back.
No.
But does it get back its Rend Arcana?
It does get back its Rend Arcana.
Yeah, at least,
label inflationary is up there,
so it's going to go ahead and
that is that one over there.
You've used haste before. Yeah.
Does it affect the current turn?
Like, can you haste yourself
and then use its benefits in the same turn?
Can you use a second action?
I think so. Boy, I'm not a,
mine was weird because it was a bonus.
Get on it, get on it.
Spell of the Fash.
You can use it to attack.
Yeah, you can't do another spell.
That one is going to Psychic Tempest,
that same cluster right there.
It's a 20-foot burst starting there,
which gets all of you again in that space.
Fuck. That's 20 feet?
So I need all of you there
to make another intelligence saving throw.
I'm so sorry. Dear lord.
Damn, this sucks.
Oh, maybe?
That's real bad.
Maybe?
Maybe?
That's a balance to the last one.
All right, so 28, it would be 20 points.
Is this a spell?
This, no, it's a second.
They have no spells.
They're not spell casters.
They're just psionic.
It's all psionic spell alien shit.
28 total.
Success.
So you take 14 points of psychic damage,
reduced to half, so seven.
This empty body is sick, yeah.
I got a, what is it?
15, but mind blank, so no psychic damage.
No psychic damage.
But you cannot take reactions until your next turn.
Okay.
Beth? 23.
23, yeah. You take 14 points, I said it was?
Yeah. Yeah, 14 points
of psychic damage, reduced to seven. I Yeah. Yeah, 14 points of psychic damage reduced to seven.
I take 14 points.
14 points of psychic damage.
20?
20 is a success.
You take 14 points of psychic damage.
I rolled a nat for 20.
Nat for 20, so you get 14 points of psychic,
oh, no psychic damage. No psychic damage?
So I'm okay? Yeah, yeah.
And you can still take your reactions.
All right, great, awesome.
That's going to finish its go.
At the end of its turn, that's it. It's going to hold on to its legendary actions. Caleb, great, awesome. That's going to finish its go at the end of its turn.
That's it. It's going to hold on to its legendary actions.
Caleb, you're up.
Okay, DM, you landed me equidistant on four squares.
Can you say it's this square?
Yeah, that's fine. Okay.
Five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
I'm pressing myself against the wall,
slightly out of that triangle.
I don't know if you're out of it.
Well, that's fine.
I'm going to look up at the one floating,
mutter an arcane word that will reverberate
through the chamber and cast Power Word Stun.
If it is 150 hit points or less,
it will be stunned and fall from the air.
Ooh!
That creature is instantly stunned.
Ooh!
And plummets. There. That creature is instantly stunned. Ooh! And vomits.
Impacts on the ground, falling 40, maybe 30 feet, because the ceiling up here is 30 feet.
So it takes...
Three d6.
Actually, I'll let you roll the damage on that.
It's more fun. Yay!
Oh, I rolled real good roll the damage on that. It's more fun. Yay. Oh, I rolled real good.
16, 16 points.
Falling damage, bludgeoning damage.
Which they all take, separated.
One takes three points.
Yep.
All righty.
Crack, and it is stunned,
and it gets a save at the end of each turn
to try and get rid of it, right?
Yes, con save. You got it.
Okay, awesome.
One of them is currently out of commission
until it can manage to pull itself free.
Which means very easy to hit.
Yeah. Oh yeah, that's great
for you guys, because hits are an advantage
because it's prone, right?
Correct. Also, the triangle
has changed. It's also stunned.
Wait, actually, this one's a triangle.
Well, that triangle, yeah, you're not.
Range is harder. That's why you're still
in a triangle is because of that fucker.
Also, being...
Attack rolls against it have advantage regardless.
Oh. Because it's stunned.
Yeah. Oh, no range.
So it'd be just a straight roll for range.
Right. Yeah.
Yep, so anyway, that finish your turn, Caleb.
You still have a bonus.
And you said I didn't have reactions until my turn,
so my reactions are back now, right?
Because now my turn. Correct.
Because, yeah. Okay.
Yeah, because the way the order was with that,
it didn't quite have the impact. Right.
All right, cool. Finishing Caleb's go.
That one over there is going to take its turn.
You go, Hunter. over there is going to take its turn. Eagle hunter.
All right.
Another one's going?
Shit.
It's going to be that one there.
It's going to be...
See if it gets its mental evisceration back.
Does not.
Still a lot of crystals.
There's a lot of crystals and all of them are still up.
Well, they'll all stay up until...
Until they're all down.
Until they're all down.
This one's barely holding on.
That crystal?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
This one here is going to attempt to, over here.
Oh, clever.
It's going to attempt to gouge aether
twice on, once on each of you.
And against you, Caduceus, 20.
Nope.
20 misses.
And against you, Jester,
19. Misses. No, both miss. Nice. Let's go. Oh, well, no, thatester. 19.
Misses. Both miss.
Nice. Let's go.
Oh, well, no, that's a lie.
19 is my armor class.
I thought it was higher.
It's your armor class. Okay, so that does hit you.
So the Gouge of Aether is going to be...
Okay.
Did that really put my armor class on?
Do you have your armor on?
Do I have my armor on?
19 points of force damage against you. Wait, is my your armor on? Do I have my armor on? It's 19 points of force damage against you.
Wait, is my armor not on?
Because you have a shield as well, right?
I have a shield and my armor.
Is your shield equipped?
My shield is equipped, but
I don't know if I have any armor on my body right now.
I see a breastplate there.
But it's not equipped.
Hold on, let's see if that brings my AC up.
Oh, it does! My that brings my AC up.
Oh, it does!
My AC is 20.
Okay.
She just finishes putting on her armor.
I didn't have my armor on.
Oh, I missed the buckle.
How funny, I don't know why I didn't have my armor on.
There you go.
My AC is 20.
Yeah, misses. Yay.
All righty.
That finishes its go.
That guy is stunned on the ground
and cannot do anything for his turn.
He's going to try and save.
That's a fail.
He doesn't want to be stunned.
He's going to use another Legendary Resistance
to get rid of it.
That's three Legendary Resistances.
So that's all three of them?
Seems that might be the case.
But it's no longer stunned, but it's still prone.
Gotcha, gotcha. It's good, it's good.
It's still prone.
And they're gone.
They're gone now.
All righty.
Now Veth, Yasha, then Caduceus.
Use the legendary resistance to save against the stun.
No one's in sneak attack.
He's stunned. He's stunned it.
Oh yeah.
Right before he's stunned.
I can't get to a pillar.
You could shoot a pillar. You could shoot a pillar.
Until it gets up, but it's going to be down.
Without sneak attack damage, it doesn't do shit.
Oh yeah.
But it does something.
This way I got hit a lot.
Yeah, I might have to just go for him.
You can also hold your action
for somebody else to get up to it.
Because I got over there from...
But would it, even if something's standing next to you,
you wouldn't get a sneak attack on a pillar?
No. On a pillar, no.
But a target, though, if you want to hold an action
to shoot something when a friend gets next to it,
then you could do that and get sneak attacks.
But who's running next to these guys?
They can bamf all over the place.
Beau's going to get over to that. I can't even see her.
Yeah. She's right in front of you
at the steps. Oh yeah, you can't see her.
She's invisible.
You can sense her when she's close.
I think I'll just...
This guy is creating a lot of triangles.
I'm going to try to kill him, her, it, them.
Okay.
I will somehow try to hide.
Maybe you can jump in this little hole here.
Bloop.
Want to hide in where the crystal was?
Sure, yeah. I'm going to go in the hole.
Where you belong.
You'll be like, look over there!
And then jump in the hole.
Okay. And bonus action hide.
Now, you can only take an action
or a bonus action this turn.
Oh! Am I still Logi?
Am I still sluggish?
That was only, that happened
before you got to this turn, right?
That was two rounds ago.
Was that two rounds ago?
Yeah, but I don't, you never told me to save.
I'll trust you. Does it only last one round?
It only lasts one round.
For some reason, I thought that was until this one.
That was two rounds ago.
Okay, I'll allow you then. Go for it.
He did the thing. I trust you.
So I will hide with advantage.
Garbage, disgusting, terrible.
Your hide doesn't have expertise?
Oh, it does.
27.
Okay.
Absolute dog shit. My life is ruined. We're great.
Then I will attack with my Crust Babolt.
Yes.
Disgusting, terrible.
12. However, if I miss,
I'm going to activate one of the charges
of the Aeorian Security Cannon. Right.
To reshoot.
Slightly better, 17.
17 does not make a difference.
And then I hold, that's it.
That's it?
I think I can only activate it once per turn.
You can only hit, you only shoot one time?
Well, my bonus action, I can shoot again,
but I bonus action to hide.
Yeah, which is pretty important. Well, my bonus action, I can shoot again, but I have bonus action to hide. Yeah.
Well, at least they can't get you.
They're not going to attack you with anything.
Yeah, because they sure didn't see me shooting at them.
You hit!
Twice.
That's all good. It's worth a shot.
All right, and Yvette's turn.
Yasha, you're up. Caduceus on deck.
All right.
It's Beau and Fjord coming up after that.
Okay, so because I have
exhaustions, can I get to that guy over there?
Because since I have half movement.
What's your movement? You see within 25 feet?
Oh, I was wrong.
It's eight plus 13.
That hits.
Yeah, that does hit.
Yes.
All right, hold on, we'll come to that.
And yes, you are 25 feet away from it.
Did the first one have hit?
No, the first one I rolled a three.
Okay. The second one was an eight.
That does hit. Okay.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
So a lot of stuff.
Sorry, sorry.
Go rogue.
Go rogue.
Ooh, there's a lot of good ones.
Yeah, there are sixes.
18, 22, 28, 30, 35, 40, 43, 40,
18, 22, 28, 30, 35, 40, 43, 40,
18, 22, 28, 30, 35, 40, 43, 40,
50 points of damage.
Damn!
50 points of damage on that one.
Okay.
As your blow strikes,
it takes the hit.
And you sense in that moment, the hit sinks deeply
and the brunt of it, it almost falls to the ground
and keeps self-lifting.
The others aren't affected.
Like it's too far from a functional crystal
to be part of the-
Oh shit!
Kill it!
Oh, he T-phoned home!
He got too far, he got too far.
Okay, okay.
I'm trying too hard to make fucking triangles.
That one's looking real rough.
Okay. Okay.
Put him in a body bag!
You still have your Aeorian thing, too,
because you didn't have to use it.
So what's your full movement now?
I did have to use it, never mind.
He's close enough to you!
Okay, all right, I'm going to take some attacks.
They do have one more legendary action
at the end of your turn.
One's almost dead.
He's looking, because he's outside the crystals.
Triangle man!
Triangle man!
Last legendary action.
That one's going to fold space to try and teleport away.
Hand him to me over there.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
I have 50, 50, 50.
He just teleported. 60.
He just teleported.
There, try and get away.
Is he close enough to a crystal now? He would. 60. He just teleported. There, try and get away. Is he close enough to a crystal now?
He would be now.
Does that automatically distribute?
We'll find out. No.
Or do the crystals have to activate?
You taint, mother! I'll run after him.
Okay. And take some shots.
So I have to have 20.
To move 25 feet to him,
you're going to have to leap over that wall to get there.
So just make an effort to pull back for me.
You have advantage on it.
No, you're straight.
Oh, right, because of your exhaustion.
It's a straight roll. It's just a straight roll?
Yeah, advantage, you're at disadvantage.
But what is it again? Athletics check.
Athletics check? Just to leap over the wall
to not lose movement to get to him,
because he's just 25 feet away from you
through that wall. Rage!
I'm raging, I'm raging.
So that means I get to do it not again?
What is this? The Raging Cajun.
Strength checks and saving throws?
Are advantage, but you have disadvantage
because of your exhaustion.
So do I, am I taking a?
You're taking that.
Add your athletics. For 16.
16's enough. Okay.
So you run in, vault over the wall,
and then get right up to him.
Slice his face!
Hello.
All right, all right, all right.
He just slowly all-shocked.
Okay, okay, okay.
All right. What is this cake?
I'm not sure what to do there.
It's hot. I'm sorry, it's too nice.
Have you seen the one that plays the hip-hop?
Okay, okay.
The baby?
No, you mean the what?
The cutie baby?
It hits.
It's over 21.
Go for it.
Okay.
It looks like the baby hip-hop one that they sell too.
It's a baby's Go for it. Okay.
So we've got...
Okay. So we've got 21 points of slashing.
Okay.
We've got five points of fire damage.
16.
We've got...
Let's do this one.
Okay, we've got 14 points of radiant.
All right.
And this is another one. That's all dead now.
And that's for first hit.
All right, so that's 30 points of damage
on the first hit, okay.
Okay, second hit.
Mm-hmm.
Roll to see if you hit him.
There's always that roll when you're like,
and then second hit.
That's why you want to use French.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Okay.
26.
26 hits.
Mm-hmm.
We got to take those fucking pillars down.
Oh my god.
Oh my god! They're ruining the whole vibe
in this place.
Really?
They're so out of date. You know what?
I'm going to do Savage Attack to just get higher.
Let's go.
I like the blue lighting.
Exactly the same. Okay.
It is worth a shot.
Wood.
Foye.
Make you look hollow.
Hunter Gold says Yasha takes it down in this round.
Yeah, I agree with that.
20 points of damage.
I agree with that. I'll go against it.
First step is admitting you need help.
Yeah.
They are sharing two points.
It's highly unlikely to happen.
Well, we don't know know because maybe it regenerates.
How do you want to do this?
Oh!
Okay, all right, go!
All of them take the impact,
so you do sense that they are reconnected
in this psychic network that binds them,
but this one took such a heavy hit outside of it
that this is just enough to finish it.
So they all took 10 damage from that, divided,
but it had less than 10 hit points at the end.
I feel a group of collected sorrow.
All right, I'm going to try to just
reach out and grab a piece of something
that's dangling from him,
hurt it, and yank it back onto my blade.
It shifts everything away.
Oh, maybe.
Onto it and drapes over. And as it gets close to your face, you look On the way, and it drapes over.
And as it gets close to your face,
you look past the head armor and its sunken eyes,
and you see that glowing blue energy in it.
As it fades into darkness,
its hand's reaching for you,
almost like it's trying to strangle you.
And you watch as its fingers
just immediately crumble into dust.
Like it immediately powders beneath the armor.
Whoa.
And the rest of its ornamental armor just.
Pong, ching, ching, ching.
Oh my gosh.
It just immediately aged way past its years.
Whoa!
So it was like 500 years old?
All right, it was hot.
Was that one within 60 feet of me, out of curiosity?
I feel like it was just on the edge of 60.
It would be.
Looked like it.
Jeez, right?
60 feet, it was just on the edge, yeah.
So how many hit dice did it have?
15.
I will take that 15 HP.
Yes, you will. Nice.
Yes!
Thank you.
Get it.
All the other Weavemind,
you watch as they all collectively inhale
the loss of one of their chosen brethren,
a connected brethren, a part of their union,
their body of minds is lost forever.
They've had centuries of sex.
In all of your minds, you hear a unique blend
of a mournful wail of an alien emotion In all of your minds, you hear a unique blend
of a mournful wail of an alien emotion you've never experienced or considered,
and a nightmarish vengeance,
both dissonantly merging and focusing.
What was the name of the one that fell?
Who was Tinky Winky?
Who was Tinky Winky? Who was Tinky Winky?
Tinky Winky was an ego hunter.
Ego hunter. Scary spice.
Yeah.
All righty, so.
They had two killers, they didn't need two killers.
One down.
Oh, you tore it up!
You tore it up! All right.
No combos with that one.
So finishing the ashes go,
Caduceus, you're up with Beau on deck.
Okay, where's my toys?
Beau died early in this fight.
We haven't seen her since.
Beau's not doing anything.
Let's see.
I'm right next to you.
You're yelling in my face with your shit breath.
How hard would it be to climb up this out of curiosity?
You can make an athletics check.
You'll lose five feet of movement,
but you can get up there.
I'm at fucking, I have disadvantage anyway, don't I?
Yeah.
You can lose five feet of movement and do it easily,
or you can try and make an athletics check.
Yeah, yeah.
Fire and meats and sour cream.
How are you doing right now?
I'm ouchy.
I'm ouchy? Yeah.
Again?
Yeah, I'm a wizard.
Yeah! Yeah, I'm going to get five,'m ouchy? Yeah. Again? Yeah, I'm a wizard. Yeah!
Yeah, I'm going to get five, 10, 15 to get on top.
My mirrors have done fuck all today.
All right, I'll do that.
My athletics check may go really poorly.
I have no idea.
What happened?
All right, here we go.
We're talking the time of their life.
My athletics.
Every time I get hit, they go,
No acrobatics? No.
No acrobatics, no.
No, you're right. This is just a Bolton climb.
Grrr!
Okay.
Nine?
Nine's not great.
So you do get up there,
but your movement will end at the top of that hill,
or the top of the wall there.
It'd be five, 10, 15 to get to the top.
Like that? No more movement?
That's about, I'd say like,
10, 15, it'd be 15 feet of movement.
What's your move speed right now?
30. 30?
So I'd say you'd get 20 feet of movement total,
so we get you about there.
That's as far as you can get.
That seems within 30 feet of Caleb.
Yeah, I just want to get within 30 feet of Caleb.
Okay.
You do whack your knee in the process of getting up there.
You take one point of bludgeoning damage,
as your kneecap clips the top of the stone.
You fall up in there. Check it, check it. 30 feet, as your kneecap clips the top of the stone. Help, it's again.
Took it, took it.
30 feet, yeah, he's within 30 feet of you.
Okay, well, second verse, same as the first.
We are doing a Mass Heal.
Oh!
Oh, because you got in a level nine spell, too, right?
Yep.
Woo-woo!
Oh boy.
All right. Monster Trucks.
Hold on a second.
So I assume that we're- Hold on a second.
Wait, do you need it?
Do we need mass heal right now?
Because nobody else is down a lot except for you and Caleb.
Yeah, but if everybody else is-
Also, they're going to cut it in half.
I don't know if anybody's close enough
to cut it in half this time.
Maybe they are. They are.
There are, I mean, it's 120 feet, if I recall, for?
80 feet for their. 80 feet.
What if you healed yourself?
That's 80.
Just heal yourself, physician.
Are you sure?
Physician.
Yeah, heal thyself.
Physician!
That's fair. Physician!
I thought everyone was way worse than they were.
Why would I get up there? Okay.
I mean, we might be by the time it gets back around.
Shit, there's a, all right, I'm trying to pick a thing.
All right, if I wasn't going to do this,
I wouldn't have gotten up there,
but since I did get up there, fuckaduck, here we go.
I'm sorry, where'd my phone go?
Sorry, Caduceus.
No, no, no.
This is the hill you're going to die on.
It really is, isn't it?
Where we are.
It's called Olympus Moths.
Yeah.
Touch a creature and stimulate its natural healing.
Yeah, it might actually.
Does regenerate take away?
No.
Is it regenerate?
Or, hold on.
Sorry, I'm doing a thing.
Beau, you are in deck.
Just... Yeah, I guess I can do...
You could just do heal.
Yeah, I'll just do straight heal. Yeah. Yeah, I'll I can do. You could just do heal. Yeah, just do straight heal.
Yeah, I'll do straight heal.
I don't know why I climbed up there for that.
That was probably a bad idea.
Dampen divinity, so you heal half that amount.
It would be 17 only?
It's 120.
Oh, for heal.
Oh, I thought you were just healing yourself.
I was, I actually was only going to,
well, let's see. I was only, but if you need it were just getting yourself. I was, I actually was only gonna, well, let's see.
I was only, but if you need it.
Just heal yourself.
We can, yeah, we can split it, though.
We said it was just a heal, six level heal?
Mm-hmm.
It is 70 hit points.
So one person's about, right?
No, this is a, heal is a,
yeah, sorry, I thought I did something else.
Yeah, it's heal. That's good.
So you heal 35 hit points from the dampening minute.
Oh no, I'm healing myself. Oh, yourself?
Okay. Yeah, sorry.
I got everything. Everything got turned around.
That's okay.
Let's see if you're in range of that guy.
Yeah, you are.
So you heal 35 hit points.
That's not the drill.
No, that's not it.
That's not the drill. Honestly, I wouldn't have done,
yeah, my whole plan got fucked, so that's okay.
This was just dumb.
No, no, no. I know, I got you.
Do you want to use the mass heal?
Honestly, yeah, no, I'm fine.
I'm calling this as a learning experience.
35, yeah.
It's not done. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh god, I did some dumb shit. Yeah, yeah.
Oh god, I did some dumb shit.
Here we go.
There we are.
Is that right?
Did that do anything? It did.
Okay, good. Yeah, it did.
So wait, so Jester,
you did your Mass Heal last time.
So the one that would have done that to you
had already used its reaction
and it hadn't come back to its turn.
So you would just do full seven.
You got the full seven. Oh, all right.
I'll take it. You got the 35.
I just realized, the one that's getting you there
already got you and it hasn't come back to its turn.
Great, okay. Okay, great, great.
Much better. Great, great, great.
This is still the same round.
I said, level 27 players, five boss creatures.
Yeah, man!
And only gets a little unwieldy.
This is just six seconds, right?
Yeah, that's what I got at the moment.
All righty. Beauregard, you're up a fort on what I got at the moment. All righty.
Beauregard, you're up a fort on deck.
Okay. Way better.
Get to work.
Let's go.
I also am now in a position.
Here's what I want to do.
I want to move five,
I should be able to make it,
five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50.
Yeah, I have 70 feet of movement.
If I go here, I can reach both of these fuckers, right?
Technically, yeah. I'm right in between?
Yeah.
I smack my babe on the ass as I go by.
Good work.
Good work, babe.
Ah, ah, ah, ah!
Ah, okay.
What is this?
I'm going to start with the one on the ground.
Okay.
Not like this.
Not like this.
I don't have an advantage or anything, right? No, he, yeah. You do against him, because he is still prone. Is this? I'm going to start with the one on the ground. Okay. Not like this. Not like this.
I don't have an advantage or anything, right?
No, he, yeah.
You do against him, because he is still prone.
Okay, first hit, natural 19.
All right, all right, all right.
Okay, that hits. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's going to be 1d12, which is, goddammit.
Eight points of damage.
Okay.
Stunning Strike. Stunning Strike.
Strike.
20?
Yeah, 20 saves.
Second hit. Let's go.
That's going to be 22 damage.
That hits. Okay.
Come on.
Be better, be better.
Okay.
That is my bonus.
Goddamn it. Sorry.
13 points of damage.
Okay.
Stunning Strike. Stunning Strike.
I'm burning through my ki points here.
That's going to be 18.
18 is the deuce.
Damn it!
Okay.
Die behind him.
Flurry of Blows.
That guy? Yeah.
Let's go. Single attack on him for each.
Flurry of Blows?
Right, I'm saying he's not prone, so.
Right. He's not prone.
It's Sir Fresh.
Okay. Yeah.
That's going to be 28 to hit.
28 to hit?
Uh-huh. That definitely hits.
Hang on. Let me make sure here.
Stunning Strike.
How much damage do you deal?
12 damage.
Okay.
13 damage.
So 33 total.
And that's going to be a 12.
He is stunned.
Which one, which one, which one?
That one's stunned, too?
They're both stunned?
No, he's saved.
Yes, baby. Oh, he's just prone.
He's prone.
So they both have advantage on him.
No? No. Yeah. The prone one is. He's got advantage until he stands up. So they both have advantage on him. No? No.
Yeah. The prone one is.
He's got advantage until he stands up.
But he's stunned.
Correct.
I'm going to. You have one more attack.
I have one more attack.
Can I direct it back at this guy?
Oh yeah, you can whack, whack, whack!
Cool. That's awesome.
Go for it.
I want to stun this guy so bad,
because then if they're both stunned,
we'd fuck up their triangle.
Okay, it was almost a natural 20,
but it's not, but that's okay.
This is 27 to hit.
Yeah, that hits. Plus 13.
27, no, technically it'd be 26,
because it's plus 12. It still hits.
But it still hits, it doesn't matter.
And then that's going to be
another 12 points of damage.
Okay.
Stunning Strike.
All right, so because there's less of them sharing damage,
they each take more of the division.
Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah.
Mm. Mm-hmm.
That's the, yeah.
Yes. More nutrition.
Stunning Strike on him.
That's going to be a 17.
Yeah, stay down!
Stay down, bitch! He's stuck!
Yes!
Fucking triangles.
Fuck your fucking trigonometry!
There's not enough of them to triangulate.
No, there's not! Yes, there may be.
At the moment, there isn't, no.
Ooh!
There's three.
Yeah, but they're stunned.
Those two are stunned. These two are stunned.
Those two are not a triangle, they're a line.
Matt! They're not even a rhombus.
Does that finish your turn?
Yeah, yes.
Fjord, you're up.
Yes.
I'll come up from underneath the bridge.
You look right underneath him.
I'll come up this side.
Shut up, Charlie.
I need a movement.
I'm going to take two shots,
Eldritch Blast of the Proned Out.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Okay, now prone gives him disadvantage.
Oh, got it.
Because he's prone on the ground
and ranged attacks have disadvantage on that.
Beautiful. He stunned,
which would be advantage, so it's just a single roll,
or you could attack the stunned guy beyond him for advantage.
I'll do those, too, because they were great.
So 29 for the first one.
Okay. And the second one was 24.
Both hit. Okay.
Come on. 10.
That's five.
Oh great, four's back. 13.
23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28.
28 points of force damage.
28 points of force damage on the first hit or both?
Combined for the first two.
Okay.
I'll take the third Eldritch Blast at him.
Disadvantage, or just regular, right?
Mm-hmm. Yep.
Awesome. 24 to hit.
Okay. And nine.
14 points of force damage for the third one.
All righty.
How's he looking?
They're all looking pretty hurt now.
Okay.
I'll send the.
Thought there might've been more.
Are we going to have to fight our way out of here?
Potentially. Could be.
I'm going to come up a little bit further.
I guess we can't go back on the battlefield, then.
Won't matter if we do well up here.
Yeah, I guess so.
I think we should use the last one here.
Damn, this is fucking bad.
I'm afraid that's the first one.
Yeah, why not? Might as well get it started.
I'll send the fourth one at the column here.
Go for it. Roll for an attack.
But this is just a straight roll.
Straight roll, yeah.
Natural 18 for a 29.
That hits. Roll damage.
That's a 10.
Five.
Roll high. Five, 10.
12 points of force damage. All right, six, ten. Five. Five, ten, nine. 12 points of force damage.
All right, Vulnerable just doubled.
It cracks at the side.
It's looking pretty damaged already
in just the one impact from that one blast of Vulture Blast.
Awesome, and I'll use my Far Step to do 60.
Vroom!
And just in this last square.
Yeah, I'm upset. You got it.
All right, finishing Fjord's Goat is now
in the top 20.
They regained a little bit of temporary hit points.
All righty.
With that, we're going to go ahead
and also move on to the next.
There's going to be Drain Prowess on this.
Drain Prowess.
All right. All right.
All righty.
So top, the next one to go is going to be
this manipulator there, which is stunned.
And if it's turn, it makes it's the save, right?
Yeah.
No, he's stunned until my turn.
Oh, until your next turn, that's right.
Awesome. So he is stunned.
Yes! He is stunned. With his go, until your next turn, that's right. Awesome. So he is stunned. Yes!
He is stunned.
His go, we now come to this gentleman over here.
The fury on this, with the loss of one of them
for the next round, all of their attack rolls
are at advantage.
Oh.
From losing one member of their brethren.
Wait, what is it?
He gets a manifest.
That one seems to get his divide cognition back.
It does not.
Okay, so it's going to go ahead and Psychic Tempest.
Okay, it's going to go ahead and move 60 feet,
flying up over on that side there
to right about there.
It's going to fire down its Psychic Tempest
to that point there.
20-foot radius,
basically a fireball radius.
One-foot radius. Oh man, that gets all of us.
It's just going to be...
Am I just outside of it?
It's just going to be you.
It's technically...
Actually, no, because it knows better.
It's just going to get those three there.
Since you both are immune to psychic
and have noticed that you've taken little hits from that,
it's going to ignore both of you.
I'm going to need.
Is this a spell?
This is an infill.
There are no spells.
No spells.
So with that, I'm going to have Jester, Caduceus, and Veth
all make an intelligence saving throw.
My favorite.
Nope. Oh, I almost throw. My favorite. Nope.
Oh, I almost died.
Okay. You heal.
Mm-hmm. I know.
43 points of psychic damage.
Very good thing I heal.
You cannot take reactions until next turn.
Goddamn it.
43 points of psychic damage, you cannot take reactions.
18.
43 points of psychic damage, reduced to 21
because of your spell.
Make a constitution saving throw
to see if you maintain your spell.
Oh, and I can't take reactions?
Correct.
Can I take reactions now to evasion?
Technically, you cannot take a re-
Huh, that's interesting.
Because it prevents you from taking a reaction.
All dex saves for evasion.
No, I know. Yeah.
But it's his using his reaction
to reduce the damage by half.
But it is, I'll say Uncanny Dodges you
dodging before it impacts you,
so I'll say yes, you can.
So in this instance, because you're doing,
you're dodging before it gets you to reduce the damage,
so before the damage would even affect you,
you've already used your reaction, so you're fine.
So you take half that damage.
Oh god. 21, right?
Buddy. Yeah. Buddy.
So 10 points?
Mm-hmm.
Nice.
Then I have to make a concentration.
I rolled a 19, 18.
You're fine. Yeah.
All right, that's going to finish.
That's an 18. That's a 10, but it's a nine.
Is it? He's going to go ahead and...
I can't read this fucking thing.
It was this one.
Yeah, that's a 10. Oh.
10 plus whatever.
Yeah, you're definitely right.
So where's the angel?
It's going to stay right there.
Oh, there it is.
Caleb, you're up.
Did Jester go?
No. Oh, no, sorry.
Jester is next.
Okay.
I'm going to attack this pillar.
And was literally over her name in a moment.
Bro. Bro.
He is just having a rough go.
We need to do some time.
We better kill him first.
Let's watch his friends go.
That's 21 to hit this pillar with my
.
Let's go, let's go.
My little rick-a-brack.
My little doo-doo.
Give me a pretty one.
There we go.
I wonder.
Ooh!
That was an Ashley reaction.
It really was.
Ooh, boost you!
That's 26 points of force damage.
Come on. To this!
Damn!
To that one?
26?
Yeah, I rolled three sevens.
Make it go boom.
Dang.
So 26, 52.
I noticed that lean. Lean back. Should. So 26, 52. And now is that lean.
Lean back.
Stay rough.
There we go.
So hold on to me.
To that one.
That one is extremely hurt.
It's barely hanging on.
It's starting to crack and pieces or shards
are falling from it.
You could use your action just to end the damn thing.
I can't. Don't you use your spiritual weapon as use your action just to end the damn thing. I can't.
Could you use your spiritual weapon as a bonus action?
That is my bonus action.
I can't attack with it again as an action.
But yeah, you can throw something at it.
Like, what?
It doesn't need a lot.
I don't know, like a spell.
I don't have, I could Guiding Bolt it,
but that seems like a waste.
When I could Guiding Bolt that guy
or one of those guys because they're already stunned.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Disadvantage.
Disadvantage for range, though, right?
Yeah.
Wait, not the one that's standing.
Correct. That's right.
Get him. But it also does,
yeah, it distributes that damage, but yeah.
Sure. Yeah.
Okay, I'm going to step here.
I think Guiding Bolt is a really far distance, right?
It's 120 feet, so I can hit him.
Can you also make a constitution saving throw
to see if you maintain your blade barrier, by the way?
Yep. Oh, yeah.
If you lose that.
17 plus four.
Yeah, it's doing so much, my blade barrier.
Look. It did some.
Cling, cling, cling, cling, cling. It's like, just imagine the cacophony it's making. It's making so much, my blade barrier. Look. Did you get some? Cling, cling, cling, cling!
It's like, just imagine the cacophony it's making.
It's making so much noise.
It's really just annoying them.
Yeah, it's true.
Okay, look.
I don't have a lot of spell slots left,
so I'm going to Guiding Bolt at 8th-level.
Oh.
Up the ball!
That guy, who's stunned.
All right, so roll with advantage.
With advantage.
Yeah, you stun.
Okay, so 21.
That hits.
Yes.
Okay.
Wait, how did I?
The prone-down one or the one standing up?
For each level above second,
that goes up 1d6.
So that's five.
Oh jeez.
Six, seven.
Wait, second level, third level,
fourth level, fifth level, sixth level,
seventh level, eighth level.
So that's seven plus four.
That's 11d6.
11d6.
Woo! Yep. 11d6. 11d6. 11d6. Woo! Yep.
11d6.
11d6.
11d6 points. One, two, three.
Oh man, if they all popped, that'd be hilarious.
Five.
Six. That's not Cad,
that's just me. Seven, eight.
Nine. I just want to see if I can get 11.
10. 36-ish points.
Come on, you got it.
Yes, fun. Let's go. One, two, three, four, five. Oh, 36-ish points. Come on, you got it. Yes, fun.
Let's go.
One, two, three, four, five.
Oh, some of the dice.
Okay, five, nine.
Wait, no, five, five, five, 15.
You got a six on your recola.
That's a d4.
Oh god.
20, 24,
26, 27,
30, 33, 37,
40.
Yes. 40, that's enough.
40 points.
10 damage shared amongst us.
Plus anything? That's what I was looking at.
No.
Slams into him all of a sudden reverberate from the damage. That little bit of glow is almost That's what I was looking at. No.
Slams into him, all of them evaporate from the damage. That little bit of glow is almost shared amongst them,
but then it returns to the one you impacted.
You see that divine spiral spinning around it.
The ghostly, gathered Artagan dicks
that have been faintly very harrowing
in this entire battle suddenly brighten up and
trying to stick to its body.
You just got lots of little dicks
stuck to him? Yeah, just like.
Leech dicks.
That's a new nightmare.
Uh.
Oh no!
No!
Doesn't that do something else?
Yeah, the next attack gives advantage on him.
Yeah, that's great, that's huge.
He already has advantage because he's stunned.
Oh, okay.
So, it's okay.
It's a double advantage.
Yeah. All right.
So that finishes the test. Let's go, Caleb, you're up.
So Caleb is going to knock back,
I have a healing potion in my inventory,
so I'm going to take it.
That is nine points.
And as he's wiping his mouth,
he looks over at the,
Jester hit the one that is standing.
Caleb drags a lodestone up his arm
and fires a Ray of Disintegration at the other one.
It is stunned, it fails, dex saves.
That's right.
That's right, baby.
I got it adequately.
Holy shit.
Did you just headshot somebody?
I mean.
21.
Oh my gosh, this is bad.
Headshot him with a cannonball.
Matt has feelings.
71 points of force damage.
Ooh!
Caleb would have guessed,
how do you want to do this to the Weave Mine. Oh! Oh!
Oh!
Yay!
Oh my god!
History of life, I vowed!
As they're all,
the ones that were currently still trying to push through,
the physical binds of having their spiritual energy
tangled by Beauregard's blows earlier,
their minds are trying to push into the core
of what makes you yourselves
to unravel the very center of the mystery of your humanity.
And their vengeful hatred itself
burns so strongly in your minds that you see,
even though you've only really known them for a moment,
the lengths of their tyranny,
the unstoppable boundaries to their self-obsession,
and their need to persist and conquer forever.
And knowing that you are just stepping stones to that end
once they took Exandria for themselves.
You narrow your spell.
Caleb takes that swig of the potion,
looks around at the Mighty Nein,
and at these Weavemind who are glowing
and frozen on the ground, and looks at his friends
and sees their good work, says,
Set them up, and knock them down.
And the ray burns along the ground,
up the center of the prone Weavemind,
and the disintegration starts from the center out,
and the remaining Weavemind all mirror that,
evaporating from their center,
up to their head and their feet.
The tether that binds their vitality
ends up binding there to their doom,
as the crystals that still maintain
a nexus of psychic power carries that bead
of magical destruction that you housed
into the spirit of one, now spread to four,
as they all desperately try and gather again to the center,
almost like they're reverting to the days of their childhood.
In the moments they see the end of all
that they wish to take fall from their grasp,
you truly see how sad and withered these creatures are
before they all
fall into piles of crumbled stone and dust.
Their armor, their robes,
scattering from 20, 30 feet up in the air,
echoing through the halls.
That vibration, that static, that pressure that has grown stronger and stronger
since you've been here,
is now still.
And it is.
The link, the link, the link.
Oh yeah.
The wall of the Splades.
Someone still keeps the Cuisinart button on
in the distance.
I just got to stop.
Stop, stop, stop, stop.
I make it go like.
I got this margaritaville for half off on Labor Day.
It is here, in the stillness,
the tyranny of the Weavemind comes to an end.
And you, the Mighty Nein, are successful
in what you were set to do,
and you hope in your heart of hearts
it was enough to help Bell's Hells
complete the hardest of tasks ahead of them.
That's where it ends.
Oh no!
Also, there's nobody running a check on Fudapah.
No.
We lost Beau in the fight,
but it was worth it.
I've been talking to you out loud.
She's still with us.
I can hear her smart ass.
I can hear her. Wow. I can hear her!
Wow. Just come out,
you put your glasses on.
Oh wow, what do you got in here?
Yeah, that map was out.
That was sick.
That was so cool. Outstanding.
You can see them go.
Yeah, I can see them go.
They mopped the floor with us for a little while.
It was going very poorly.
To be fair, it was one of those things,
one of them was like,
am I going to risk getting out of range of the crystals
to maximize the triangle?
And they did.
I don't think he expected you to hit them
while they were just out of range that hard,
which worked to their disadvantage.
But nevertheless, we'll pick this up next week
with Bell's Hall.
Oh! Yes.
And the Descent to the core of Ruidus,
the Hallowed Cage, and the God Eater itself,
where down there, Ludinus works to carve his path
and currently seeks to siphon the essence
of the exultant Liliana Temult.
We'll see where that goes.
Thank you for joining us.
We love you very much.
And is it Thursday yet?
Good night.
Oh, hey.
