Hello again, it's Brennan Lee Mulligan, and you're listening to Part 2 of this episode of Critical Role.
If you haven't checked out part one yet, pause this now and head over there first. What are you doing?
Otherwise, let's jump right back into this adventure and the world of Aramomah.
Creamy Mama, folks, we're back at the table.
Laura Bailey said,
Laura Bailey said, Creamy Mama. I heard a couple come in. I said, which one am I going to say?
And right under the wire, Laura Bailey got Creamy Mama in there, and I said, that's a bingo, folks.
That's a video.
Credit friendly.
We return.
We return
to
Albid and Fimble the following morning
walking back up the hill.
Could you, would you be kind of to give me
a Constitution saving throw?
What the for?
Difficulty of 11.
Nope.
You have one level of exhaustion.
Oh.
Oh, damn.
And Thimble, you have not gotten to take a long rest.
Oh, well, too late.
Right when I hit, do it.
Right when you hit, do it.
But I would have had at least down time to recover my.
HB. Yeah, you could have done your, yeah, your short rest,
hit die's got recovered.
Can you all take a long rest?
Everybody else can take a long rest.
Ooh.
Yes, yes, yes.
You and Albit are walking back up after he's finished.
You have departed from the,
the shores of Lake Nahami and the tree,
the cherry tree of the Millers Road there.
And getting back up,
Albed was able to set up a number of these stones
throughout the Tintazi wood.
Walking up with you, he said his pack trudging,
he goes, wonderful, fair folk,
I hope they're gonna be all right.
I know they're quite next to a population center,
but then again, hopefully there's some legal authority
that wouldn't let a bunch of poachers come in
set the wood on.
I was able to set the stones up so that the fairies,
the stone, oh, an incredible source of power,
that theater, oh my goodness.
And they have the fairy doors up there.
Yeah, they have the fairy doors up there.
So the enchantment, I didn't have to sacrifice anything
to make the enchantments permanent.
They're just running off of the nascent enchantment,
both of the glade.
and the, trudge, trudge.
As I imagine by this point, I've shrunked back down.
I'm little and I'm writing on Pim.
Like I'm laying on PIN just like.
Yes.
Letting PIN do the walking.
And he goes, and the, so the nascent, the nascent, you know, it's going to work.
Ooh, long night.
And he gets back up to his cottage.
And I will say, and then because I don't.
I only sleep four hours,
and I assume you are out and about in the morning,
early before everybody's well.
I will say to you, don't do that anymore.
Step in front of me.
You don't need to protect me.
I know you made it very clear.
I don't need you to take arrows for me.
No, I, it just happened.
I, I, I, I,
I don't know if I'm gonna be able to help that.
I know that may seem contradictory to you
with the choices that I've made,
but I do care about you tremendously, Octus.
Well, just don't put any more holes through your hand.
Octus? I'm sorry.
I'm still here.
Bulbid and Thimble return in the morning
as you've all finished your long rest.
You see, and Baylis and Octus,
I think for the first time, instead of being,
the stay up late buddies, you guys are probably not
other than that interaction.
Can I do it up to someone else?
Yeah.
When I am out and about, I want to see where Julian is.
Julian, this is in the morning.
Julian is about five trees outside of the cabin.
passed out with an empty bottle of wine
on the ground next to him.
His cloak kind of wrapped heavily around like a blanket
and is like half drooling.
I am going to say having fallen asleep outdoors,
drunk, give me a perception check with disadvantage.
Yeah, absolutely.
Bill.
Julian's death.
Horse?
Eleven.
The Julian is covered in rude drawings.
rude drawings that the Black Rabbits have left on the
home overnight.
There is a scrawling of the name Justin
written in Dix on his forehead.
Handlebar mustache made of two dicks coming.
I would probably not be that far away attempting
to put some branches together to
make kind of a fake arch between two trees,
just sort of constructing my best to make
some kind of arch outside in the morning
that you would have probably walked by
or would hear happening.
Okay.
You see Julian.
I see Julian. I'm going to crouch down,
get a look at the magnificent drawings.
Let's slap him.
Like, goes to reach for his blade
and like, get tripping his cloak.
I'm like, well, it falls inside and gets up.
Well, I didn't want you to train me this morning,
but now I'm having second thoughts.
Soldier is always ready.
You have, you look great.
You look great too.
I'm going to take off my hood, my,
my, not my veil.
But I am gonna take off my hood and I'm gonna,
my skirt, I'm gonna tie up the sides,
so I have some maneuverability.
I don't know where start, but I'm ready.
All right. You have your weapon?
Yeah?
Put it on the ground. Good.
You have spent your life relying on somebody else.
to guide your hand.
Yes.
From this way, Horde, this very day forward.
The only person you can rely on is you.
Over time, maybe others can come to help.
But that weapon finds its target
when you believe in only your strength.
Because there will be days in which nobody else is around.
So you have to be confident that you've got your back.
Do you?
Yes, I do.
We'll see.
Pick up your weapon now.
We'll run through some forms.
There's who...
We'll run through some forms.
And so I'll start basically
showing different stances beyond just the divine,
guided paths.
You have natural talent, of course, in the way you wield your weapon,
but the...
envisioning that direction, that directive of impact coming from your own tactical
intellect beyond just the source of divine guidance.
Mm-hmm. Cool.
Yeah. Cadigan. Go. Would you be willing to do me a favor really quick? I guess more
accurately, would Wolfeck be willing to do me a favor? Yeah, sure, sure. I've gathered
I gathered some goose and duck eggs
and a little bit of vegetables,
and I'm making breakfast for everyone.
I think you see at this moment that Thimbel
and Ulb could come in and there is a moment
of him, and Pimli goes,
Umt, they told me about Sarah,
and the two of them begin to catch each other up
on everything that has transpired.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Thank you for Ben.
You're welcome.
I'm making eggs.
What do you want?
Can Wolf catch me a small animal?
You want me to go hunting for you?
Yeah.
Ask him yourself.
Just crouched down and like sit on the ground and be like,
would you be willing to catch me a rabbit or some sort of,
any, any animal?
Also good boy.
It's a sneeze, but it also is a knot.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
It's his favorite thing.
Ha ha. He likes you.
I don't know why.
Ulbid and Pimli catch each other up.
Pimley cannot believe that this has come to pass,
you know, and Albed begins to explain everything.
These travelers, well, not all of these travelers,
but Mr. Vail and Thimble came through here
with some companions and Mr. Falcon and others.
And you see he goes, and they headed out
back out on their way to have come back in pursuit
of business that is their own,
but Sarah Bell, Muriel, and Alana-Doh,
we think we believe, perhaps, we believe.
You see that Penley nods and says,
all right, so the plan then for all of you is heading north.
So the landslide came in, bought you a couple
even, you know, your family members,
can they do the thing where they move things with their mind?
Not necessarily.
I'm not.
You've seen your father, do you?
My father can, I don't know how many others can do.
I'm not a full understanding of the extent
of my family's capabilities.
I was not privy to that information.
He can move things with his mind,
like up and over the landslap?
I don't know how much he could pick a person up.
Let's just assume we got a couple of days, maybe a week.
You see, Pimmy says,
land on a plate.
Eggs, egg meat.
Hold the second.
It's one-handed and it's better than you would expect.
But.
You see, he says, well, you got the black rabbits here.
Yeah.
You got a, and you got this Miller's Road.
Yeah.
And my uncle was saying something about you,
you can actually lift.
For all intents and purposes, I can create a floating disk that can carry an amount of weight.
Okay. The main thing, there's one resource more precious than gold. That's time.
How long can you get to work on these wagons?
Our theoretical plan at this moment is to inform some of our contacts in Timony to get the
to make the carriages have to go through
a rather lengthy search process.
Something bureaucratical.
Contacts Intimony, Thieves Guild.
More higher up.
Higher up.
I'd say the problem with our original plan
is that we didn't really have a plan.
We're not exactly expert thieves, so.
Hey, well, you bought yourself a planning process,
so that's not bad.
So, which is why we were asking for you
to assist us in the same.
matter. I love those girls. I mean, I haven't seen him since I was a kid, but I grew up with them,
you know. So I'll come and help what I can. Bumping wagons is exactly what, I mean, you couldn't
pick a better thing for me to, that's what I do for a living. Kind of the reverse, actually. I
kind of make unbumpable wagons, but the point stands. I'm a smuggler, you know. No, sorry, I just had a
separate thought. Continue.
If you have contacts, then it's, you want your workbench in front of you, he gestures to his uncle with the workbench before you go to work.
So no point in planning because you might have tools you don't even know about, right?
Get every resource you can get in front of you before you start picking whether it's the axe or the saw or the chisel, right?
So yeah, I can help.
you see that Clon, he looks over and just goes,
doesn't he think he's the greatest thief here?
And you see that Pimli looks over and points at him and goes,
yeah, well, I tend to do a little bit bigger work than turnips.
And he turns back and says,
By comparison, turnips are huge for us.
A turnip is absolutely massive compared to me.
It's much bigger than my whole buddy.
You're a great thief, too.
We got it, we got it.
I'm not gonna get into a dick measuring
with the guy with his own head on his belt.
Um, he goes, so, yes, let's go meet up with your contacts
and we'll see what we got.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So first.
Excellent plan.
First step is getting two timid.
Eggs.
Oh, not just eggs.
Kish.
You've read a Kish.
Oh, okay.
Plus.
A rustic kish.
A rustic.
I'm gonna say at this point, we've been training for a bit,
I've read a moment like you and me
have been kind of facing off in some light sparring
and I'm looking towards USA.
The instinct is to follow the weapon,
but the weapon is the second thing to follow.
The first is the eyes.
The eyes will betray their movement
before the weapon does anything.
Okay.
Where do you think I'll strike and guard?
And I just wait and wait and try and move to the left
and adjust.
Okay.
Give me an insight check.
Great.
Give me deception.
The most important role you've ever made.
I know, it's the most important role I've ever made,
Willie.
Okay, that's a two.
So, 12.
12.
17.
17.
You, everything about Julian's body
tells you that he is going to go to his right
for your left shoulder.
And moving, he is going to go
moving, he is suddenly on the other side of your body
as he goes to the left.
Shit!
It's all right.
I thought, I really thought I connected
and I thought I saw them.
That's all right, but you watch the eyes
initially draw you to one place and then turn.
That's what we refer to as a, well,
any kind of, let's cooking.
We'll pick this up later, actually.
Yeah.
All right.
Just follow the.
Yeah, it picks you up with the nostrils
and pulls you.
Ellis, follow your nose.
I've already abandoned Goddiff.
The arch up and then walking over a little sweaty
to the smell of food.
Morning.
Good morning.
Oh my God, my God, this is my.
Hi.
Hi, Dickface.
Nice to see you, too.
No.
Breakfast is actually very appreciated.
Justin.
Oh, thank you.
Of course.
You've, that's quite rude.
Why have you done that?
I sort of, that's not,
Prestigitation, a tiny little mirror.
It's, I know it's Marin or a religion,
but I created a reflective thing in the air.
I was gonna tell you.
But I thought it would be very fun for our first lesson.
I strangely respect that.
Thank you.
I'm going to go wash my face.
You see that Klonny takes a bite of
of a strawberry as big as his torso and goes,
Don't butter, won't come out with just soap and water.
Oh no.
I come here.
And I press the decision clean his face.
You are absolutely pelted with berries
as the black rabbits go,
Boo!
That's no fun at how is it?
Wet as a dead body normally and on the fun time we're having.
A little bit of rotten its time.
Yama Don.
Oh, they killed himself, did he?
But he's killed the mood in here, the vibe, certainly.
Tjordian's like, shh, what he's dead?
Thank you. You're welcome.
Breakfast.
I'm trying to do some.
He like leans, he scroters down, he's talking to the guy.
He's trying to do.
What, is there, what?
Are you trying to?
Look, this guy's been on my ass for weeks.
I'm just trying to make in a little bit of favor, right?
Oh, so you're trying to show kindness to him.
So if we were to tie the laces of his boots together
and you were to bend down and untie them,
then you look at the hero, don't you?
Understood, big man, understood.
And, um, uh, Obed, uh, gears up.
He's exhausted, thimble's exhausted.
Uh, but he says, all right, nephew here, Timli,
Timli, you were not expected back in, in Domakia.
See, Pimli goes, I, uh, things are
a little hot in Dolmachio right now,
so actually a road trip sounds just about right.
I'll get a message back there somehow.
Maybe a Faye friend that can use the Miller's Road
might see fit to do that, but that's all right.
All right.
Oh, but you got coffee before.
Did you make coffee?
Oh, no, I did not make coffee, but I did make eggs.
Sorry.
This is delicious.
You're welcome.
I am shocked.
Cadigan, give me survival with advantage.
Of course.
Bad eggs.
Those were bad eggs.
Oh, no.
We're okay, we're okay, we've got it, we got it.
I guess I'm taking care of everyone.
17 is Wolffrick comes back.
Wolfrick comes back with some game.
I think he catches a pheasant comes back with.
Thank you very much.
Speaking to Wolfram, I appreciate that very much.
Thank you.
Here, any...
Octus opens up a sort of leather satchel on his side
and brings out, for lack of a better word, a bone saw.
And just cuts it down the middle,
gives half of it to Wolfrick.
Suspicious.
And then takes the other half,
takes some, remove some blood and bone and flesh
and just kind of makes this sort of like,
kind of pile of it and then places his hands over it.
Almost like you would magically,
the idea of like crushing and die
and just kind of obliterates it into a liquid,
and then refills the syringe for the component
for that he used to create the corpse.
Cool. I needed reagents. Thank you.
Julian's halfway through his food,
and it's still a little hungover, but he's.
And you can also have what's left over.
Oh, just that was.
Fascinating. A lot.
Oh, I'm so sorry. I should have done that somewhere else.
I'm really...
You know what?
It's getting...
Don't worry about it.
I appreciate the candor.
I'm sorry.
Albed looks and says,
I'll be able to clean up, it's all right.
And with that, I think begins to shepherd you guys down the hill.
Once again, you see Albed locks up his cottage,
leaves plenty of feed for his livestock and animals.
You don't have to throw up, but it was just like this.
I'm gonna worry about it.
Don't worry about it.
It's fine.
You know, Julie,
He needed to puke up his wine. He drank too much.
Okay, right. Do we want to do an interrogation before we go? We're after.
Oh, yeah.
Almost forgot.
Listen, we learned a lot from the little man, but no, no, I think we can figure this out.
Oh, Julia, how's your stomach?
Better now. Just trying to, you know, write myself for the day ahead.
So do we have means and methods to get this out of me? You ever heard of the goat's tongue?
That's pretty nasty.
I mean, I've heard of tongues, and I've heard of goats,
and I know that goats have tongues.
Assume that they didn't.
What would that entail?
Well, for lack of a better word,
it's a kind of a torture interrogation technique.
We don't have to, if it's too much.
You're not doing that in sight of mine.
All right, fine.
What's the most humane way to get this info out of them?
Well, we could go into my theater,
have a conversation.
You all, some of you were briefly in there, I believe.
Yeah.
The theater can sort of assemble itself into any story you wish to tell.
We can force our friend to set the scene, or we can set the scene ourselves with a little bit of pressure.
He certainly at the moment probably doesn't know where he is or what's happening.
I'm perfectly okay with him thinking that he has died and gone to some terrible fay hell.
But that's up to us.
If we went into the theater, what part of us?
would be in the theater?
All of us.
Your body, your...
I think I can open up
a side door,
temporarily.
Wow, but you'll be able to let us
back out. Oh, yes.
In fact, if anything,
it would be a bit difficult
to keep it open, but
if past experience
tells me anything, if I'm
forced to
drop the spell
for any reason, we all
I was just there. I've never lost anyone in there.
Have you ever done this before with having everybody in there?
Well, not this many people. It should work fine.
Sounds complicated. Could do Goat's Tongue.
I would need you to find another body if you did Goat's Tone.
Right. Well, listen, we don't have much time. What are we trying to get out of this guy?
We just carve away pieces and dirty dogs.
Well, he's not actually in there.
He needed him to be Buller's body. No.
You can find another buddy, and then we carve this to pieces.
Or we just go talk to him and see what happens.
I guess. I lose all the fun.
That's what I thought.
Same thing. Go, it's fun too.
All right, all right.
Well, let's open the door, I guess, to whatever it's you're trying to do.
Make it quick, running out of time.
You have some questions you're ready to ask.
No shit.
What do we want out of him?
This is a group effort.
Suppose we want out of him, if there are any other groups,
currently harassing any other circles?
If he knows of any other circles.
If he knows of any other groups,
of any other areas that do the shadow cutting.
Who's been paying him, I imagine?
Who's been paying him?
What is the ultimate purpose of all of these
fey pieces and captures?
What is what is it being reused for?
What are the targets, as you said?
And is he part of a bigger force?
Was it a one-off tactical team,
or are there more of them out there?
Yes, are we going to be running into even more
hell of our interests on the way to the orchard
because of other fake things?
This is all very good, though.
Well, let's give it a minute then.
Let's make it fast and tactical.
Alright, here we go, and in theory,
time moves a little bit differently in there,
if I recall, we've got to, we've established
that it moves a little faster inside by then.
But that's up to you.
I think that for our purposes here,
and is there a spell or ability that you're using here
other than, yeah?
I'm using, we briefly talked about,
I'm gonna be using a version of hunger of HADAR.
So you create that kind of void, inky space.
Well, yeah, I have, that's why I've been setting up the arch.
Yes.
Creating that space inside the arch, you guys see a vision into the theater,
but I'm going to rule that your bodies don't physically travel there.
In other words, this would not be a place that you could, like,
escape into a rope trick, right?
Yeah.
And if I, yeah, this is all just inside.
Yeah, they're not actually going anywhere other than into,
but I mean, like, I've kind of built a notion of it.
Like not a, like a consciousness progression or projection almost.
As long as you're in the shadow,
The notion is as long as you're standing in the shadow,
and especially the way I'm building,
I'm building it a different way,
you are in the theater.
You might as well be wearing the mask on a certain level.
Okay.
You guys see within this arch there.
I'm not going in there.
With all due respect, Bolair.
Oh, no, I know you're a coward.
And I start building a glass door,
and then a black curtain.
opens that I hold open for every one.
Within these like two young pine trees
that have been tied together to form an arch,
a shadowy pane of glass and curtains part.
And through it, and I think actually I'll rule
that because your bodies are not physically vanishing,
Baelis, you don't have to actually enter.
The proscenium protects you.
It's like just across the curtain,
you see the interiority of this person.
It's really like you're saying is more of a projection.
This is a different experience
than wearing the mask that is Belair.
Very different.
Okay.
We're just looking into it.
Looking in.
You see, like a, like a, yes.
Okay.
Within that empty stage, you see the Creed member who had been fanning the flames who had been hit by the suggestion,
looking out and just going, you see that he has smeared himself with blood and excrement.
He's completely naked and going, is this what you want?
You freaks!
This is what you want, huh?
This is what you love!
And cut. And there's a version of me, the version of me that's just the floating mask and gloves is in the audience, even though my body is currently outside holding the curtain open. That was brilliant. You are very talented.
You've taken me. I don't know. Is that going on his head all night?
What do you think you are? I was putting out the fire. You were putting out the fire.
I don't remember.
You don't remember because it was a kindness.
Spirits of lust and degradation were everywhere.
Oh dear.
What do you think happens to someone like you
when they die in such a world?
Your soul is so far away.
Where do you think you might be?
I don't think you've made it to wherever you think you were going to go.
A puppet master, maybe you're going to go.
Puppetmaster, maybe fuck with them a little bit less
and try to get some information out of him.
He's scared shitless.
Working on it.
All right.
I would be willing to help.
Where did the blood even come from?
Oh, it came from him, clearly.
Can he see us?
Can he see us?
Oh, he can see you.
You have an audience over there.
He looks up and sees, suddenly like,
sort of lights on you guys, looks at his demons,
and fairies.
What's your name?
Pierce.
Pierce.
Oh, Pierce, what a sad little life it is to end up here.
How little you've done.
Where are your friends?
What are their names?
Who brought you to this terrible place?
Who betrayed you to bring you here?
No, no, he didn't betray me.
The Lux, Bridges.
I think they might have.
They've certainly abandoned you.
No.
Would you like me to help you?
I am no demon.
I was the lux.
I was the glimmer to him,
and he was to set me on the path of righteousness
and our tattoos,
they were dimming because we are not pure enough,
but we knew that there was a den of wickedness.
The fair folk had summoned
the spirits of the dead, the forest,
We were to rid the forest of that evil, and we had found hunters.
They were wicked themselves.
They had spent too much time in the company of these fair folk.
Their light had dimmed as well, but we were pure, and we brought from the high lux in the cathedral and ardor and to the forest,
and we were to burn it and destroy it and capture those fairies there, some to go to the hunters for showing us the way through the forest,
but others we would capture and deliver
and rid the forest of its wickedness.
Of course.
Did you...
You said that the fairies were summoning the undead to protect themselves?
Yes.
Did you not think...
Ferrys themselves are spirits of the dead.
But you see, did you not think
you must know who I...
What family I'm from?
Did you not think I had my own plans?
That's why there were undead outside?
Family, are you...
Are you related to the Earl of Vallow?
Please, you must know a Taconas when you see one.
Taconas, you are...
Adversaries of darkness.
You are the shadow cast by the body ensconced in light,
the darkness that complements the illuminated.
I have heard of your house.
I've even...
seen a carriage once in the marketplace.
Will you tell the family of Halavar
that I am a servant, pure and true?
If this is a test, let me pass it.
This is a test.
You are in judgment.
Definitely.
Congratulations.
That was.
Where were you gonna deliver the fairies to?
Those would be given to our companion hunters,
but they were to take the living
and do whatever trade they were due with them.
But we were together,
shards of the crystal.
The crystal that the Lux was searching for.
Who were you to deliver this to this crystal?
Who sent you on your way?
We do not trust.
We do not trust you.
You have sullied yourself,
and we need to know who you worked for.
We have found you cavorting with filthy hunters.
Show us that you're pure.
Who sent you?
Who?
Lux Bridges.
And you would know that this Lux is dead.
He said, yeah.
He said, he goes, he brought me
because he was going to show me
how to prove myself
to the Archlux.
The Archlux Lepid
in the cathedral in Ardarin.
Ask him.
Archelaide.
Lepid.
Lapid.
Were there others?
Were you special?
Did you assume you were special?
You see, he says, he goes,
We were chosen by the Luxe Bridges.
He gave us these tattoos and accepted our vows
when the church would not, when the creed would not.
Go ahead and give me.
Oh, boy.
They flicker because we are impure,
but he can cure what is dim within us.
Give me an Arcana check, anyone that has to,
or a nature check, anyone though I'm.
Taking that Arcona check, man.
Oh, you do it with advantage, sorry.
Thank God.
26 Arcana.
26 Arcana.
Is it 19? 19.
On a 26 arcana, you are looking at the filamental tattoos,
which are flickering like they were in the glade.
He is saying this is because his soul is unworthy.
On close inspection, the filament in these tattoos
has been mixed with lamp oil.
It has been cut to produce a larger amount.
And it looks like these were, I think there's an immediate sense
that this is like a Creed Seminary.
expulsion.
And that this, I think you read that
this guy, the Lux Bridges took a bunch of these guys
and said, I, you know.
I'll be, yeah.
I'm getting the feeling this guy doesn't know a lot,
but gave us very useful.
One point of information.
They've mixed this filament with lamp oil.
Well, I've got some good news and bad news for you.
The good news is at the moment you sit in,
You sit in judgment and we find you not unworthy.
Not worthy.
But not unworthy.
And I let the stage illuminate in these shapes
and let them appear on the stage and just as if painted around him.
What do I now behold?
You behold your salvation.
You must pay your penance, but congratulations you have served us well.
How may I achieve penance? What used me to do?
You will sit, and you will think upon yourself.
You will think about what it was that drove you to such a low state.
And you will sit quietly.
Do you understand?
I will meditate on what has driven me to this low state.
We will return, and we will speak again.
He sits on the stage, and as the stage closes, he starts rocking and going,
The treachery of fairies, the treachery of fairies.
And we're back.
It always comes back to fucking fairies when you're the one that's torturing him.
Well, if it makes you feel better, I can make a few to stop begging at him.
We have to go back for those shards, right?
You guys didn't grab him.
I didn't grab any of these shards.
I couldn't look down there, but I didn't take anything.
We have to get him.
Yes, we do.
You see that Pimli and Albed look,
thinking about the Taconas,
and you see that Kwanee looks and says,
we're getting to the point where to group is actually,
I'd say, a little bit too large to take the Millers Road safely.
Yeah.
Let me send half my boys down there to get the shards.
Thank you.
You want to continue on.
It's all right.
And he's...
He quickly speaks in Sylvan, some of the other black rabbits,
and you see no longer having a Miller's tree to get there,
they take off the long way through the forest.
Oh, he's redeemed in my heart because he is quiet.
Oh, there.
He's, we now know that there is an archelux that is in charge,
or at least of these ones, and should be good information to have.
I don't know what that pertains to us to what we're doing right now.
Do we know where Arderin is?
Arderin is the city that you, this is a deep cut to one of the early episodes of the first soldiers table.
Arderin was the city that you guys were passing through where the preacher was first delivering that speech of Gus's.
It's the place that you were at the day before you saw Hawkins and Morgan for the first time before you got to Slope.
And you were only there for a minute because you were just trying to get a carriage and get out of there.
It's where the person also said, I'm Gus's man.
and then spent, so that was the first time that you saw,
but that city was filled with Creed.
A lot of creed there.
Is that where the hospital was?
That's before the hospital.
Before the hospital.
It was Arterin as the capital of Valo,
then you were in Sloke,
and then you were in Tybury's Lee,
the capital of Guarmalet.
And so then where is timid in regards to that?
All of those are reasons in timid.
In timid.
They're all counting.
Great, great, great, okay.
So we'll probably be passing back,
well, if we chose to,
if we didn't go straight down in Milishtra,
we could pass back through it.
So, he could be very useful.
But we should probably best head to Timmany, so the capital.
Yeah.
Cheers.
It is interesting that they are having to water down their filament.
The checkpoint would be in Valo, right?
If we stopped the Taconas's caravan, it would be in Valo.
It would be in Valo, that's correct.
All right, so that's where we should have.
Okay.
It is interesting, isn't it?
Yeah.
I mean, did Wick ever tell O-Dohmell
us in general where the filament is coming from.
He told us, didn't he?
I feel like he did.
I believe he has been.
I think we were having our big gathering
of things mentioned that whole scenario.
I mean, if.
Oh, you heard, you were at present in Sul Rekshi's scene
where she was literally talking about the tattoos
and him being in Asper, so you've heard the whole thing.
Right, I just, I think we must know.
Okay.
We know, it's all.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If they're only getting it from that,
one source, then there can only be so much of it,
which is interesting, so it is possible
the further away from the actual Hale of our family
we get the weaker, the lights, influences.
It's true.
The dangers of spreading your faithful seed.
Is there's only so much seed to go around?
This metaphor is getting weird, Julian.
We'll work on it, we'll work.
Well, yes, you are correct.
How useful.
Interesting. And also now that we know that if we see
a kind of St. Creed with flickering tattoos, what that means.
Yeah. That they're a loser.
And flammable.
Yep.
Hell yeah. As you guys...
They want the lights so bad?
Yeah.
Oh, man.
As you guys prepared a head out.
Anyone who wants to, anyone who's like paying close attention
to your companions, give me an insight to check.
Not me.
No, sorry.
That's the U-Side-21.
Yep.
Cheers.
As you guys head out, I think you just clock
Ulbid looking at Belair and this sweet little old known man
is extraordinarily disturbed by what he's seen.
It doesn't say anything, but just continues on
with you guys pretty quietly.
And I believe, and you guys head to the Miller's Road
and begin to travel north, no longer seeing a hawthron tree on the way,
but getting further north into Timeney.
Yes, okay.
Who, I'm sorry, I just gotta clock the people in the room.
Who are the companions that we're bringing with?
Albed, his nephew Pimli, the smuggler,
Klani, and now about four of the black rabbits.
the other half have gone into the DeHopshiny wood.
Okay.
And it seems, Kloni seemed to speak to them like,
you probably weren't gonna see them again for Lee.
He was like, when you get the stuff, head back
and wait for us at all bits.
Because we never truly cooked up a plan at the spot.
They're with us as we journey toward the potential rescue.
Oh yeah.
I mean, we'll probably need him there if we're gonna break that.
We'll probably- I just wanna know how the party's expanded
and there's a lot of people for that.
Yeah.
Amazing.
As you were traveling,
I would love a survival check from Thimble.
Jesus Christ, that was bad.
Can I assist as your scout as the homie?
You want to give an assistance here?
I will say, in this instant,
Uh, no. I want to actually rule no.
Sure, I love to be ruled though.
I think this is some fairy shit.
Yeah, boy.
Wow, that made me feel so good
that Matt was so into me saying no there.
He's gonna do it, don't do it.
No is, no is, is, yeah.
But I think next time if you would come in
with like a guidance on top, yes, something like that.
That was a bad.
Yeah, that was bad.
Um, as your, uh, what'd you get?
I rolled one.
A now one?
Uh-huh, yeah.
Well.
Oh.
It's so definitely.
It's a big fact.
It just went, boom.
Oh, it wasn't even one.
Get out of here, you piece of it.
That's my first day using that, Dye.
It's still beautiful.
This, the whole thing with the Miller's Road,
how incredibly useful it has been,
comes down to, if you have been within
in sight of another tree of that exists in both worlds.
And on that Nat 1, your journeys through Timene
did not expose you to any trees of the Miller's Road
in between Hawthorne's Glade and the first tree you used,
which was just outside of Slok.
Right.
So that Nat 1 is not, oh, you fucked up in a Sarlack Pit,
opens and eats everybody.
Right.
It's just literally,
this thing is really good and useful.
You've dipped to Dolmachiar and back like a bunch of times,
but it's fundamentally that it has hard limitations.
And the hard limitations are you got lucky with that tree by the caller's perch.
And this is where your luck runs out.
You have never been next to a Miller's tree other than Hawthorne's Hawthorne
until the first place you went at that crossroads where Morgan took him into.
You got to stop there.
You got to stop in Sloke first.
All right.
In Sloke.
In Sloke.
It's not that far.
No, no, it's pretty much, yeah, it's not too far.
And the homie should be still running the show.
Yeah.
How irritating.
Mm-hmm.
Do we tell you we had a castle here?
No.
We had one.
Well, yeah.
We gave it away.
We did.
Well, that makes perfect sense.
Yeah.
But we had it for like 10 minutes.
Mm-hmm.
I'm sorry, where are we?
How are you?
No more explanation.
This is where we're going to.
This is where we killed Kazimir.
Oh.
As you guys are traveling to Miller's Road,
and as you get to Timney,
your travel does slow down a little bit.
In these deep, Faye woods,
it is quite quick to traverse.
Here you're still going much faster,
but it's going to be like a full day's.
What was multiple days is a full day's journey going through.
The pastoral, much more populated.
These people have some cold iron
and there's other stuff.
Just this countryside is a little bit thicker
for this like very magic to work, right?
However, it is still three or four times the speed
with which you traversed to hear originally.
Traveling this long day on the Miller's Road,
even seeing a couple little like hound shrines
begin to appear off the side,
I think Ulbid walks up beside you, Vailas,
with big pack clanking.
Do you need some help?
Oh, for the pack? I would love some.
I'll take a turn.
Oh, that is very kind.
Thank you.
Welcome.
Does your hood need mending?
I see you're not wearing it anymore.
I don't know if...
It's a little hot.
I was working all throughout last evening,
and I'm quite exhausted now.
I'm sure.
Thank you, by the way.
No, no, of course, of course.
The sweet, fair folk is the least we could do.
There was a glass stick there, a young antlered woman,
quite charming, who I remarked upon the,
I needed to place some belongings of mine
amongst the roots of the crystal in the cavern
that the wards I was creating would suffice.
Yes.
She mentioned to me the origin of this miracle.
Is she say?
That according to her,
an ancient elven artifact
had been given to the cause of the
the fearful at great expense and risk,
and that you were to thank for that.
And I just, I, it was so interesting
because if you've missed me, you're,
you are quite solemn dressed in,
you are dressed in the garb of a mourner,
and you did not forgive a little bit of curiosity
from a very exhausted old man.
Why didn't you,
to the fair folk in Hawthorne's Glade that we had rescued,
that this place existed because of your heroism.
What about it in that way?
I've never been a hero.
I certainly have not either.
With what you did last night, I would beg to differ.
Oh, a little bit of work.
It's hardly heroism.
But, well, all I made,
meant to say is it has been strange these last few days,
and it's very, I have a fear of quiet, big folk.
It's a trait that has served most gnomes I know quite well
to be a little apprehensive if someone doesn't tell you
who they are.
And if your character is as sterling as it would seem,
then I am glad to know it, because I fear you may never have told me.
I don't think I would have all bet.
But thank you for saying such nice things.
It's effortless and it costs nothing
to share a little cheer and kindness.
I wish more people felt that way.
Well, it starts with you.
As we're walking, I am wherever you are.
I'm on your shoulder.
Okay, well, I do nothing. They're nice.
Just talk out loud.
Um, hey, uh, I'm really heading.
I really had a chance to sit and process everything that's going on with me.
Thank you for reminding me that sometimes what I do is weird and off-putting.
I appreciate it. I need to be reminded because I think I'm getting too used to all the horrible stuff and
and I'm going a little weird.
I'm going to fly off your shoulder and fly backwards in front of you so I can look you in the eye.
Weird is good, Octus.
It's cool.
I'm happier doing, well,
not happy you're cutting pheasants in half
and smushing them around into blobs, but...
I needed bones and skin and blood.
No, you need it. You need it.
You're doing great work.
You spit acid, and it turned into a spike,
and it went through somebody's eyeball.
Yeah, that's part of it.
I think I killed a lot of people
that I haven't done that before,
and that was...
No, I know.
That was a lot.
Look, I think it's normal to become numb to it.
We all, I've certainly killed so many people.
You were a soldier, you were fighting.
Yeah, and that's what you are now too.
You've never done it before.
But you're so strong now, Octus.
So are you when you get big?
So buff.
You're so buff.
You're not bow.
No, I am.
It's okay.
You didn't ask for any of this to happen.
I know it.
And you're making do with what you have.
And it's not just making do.
You're thriving.
It's amazing.
Weird is good, okay?
Don't apologize to me for being weird.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm really happy that I, you're here.
Me too. Me too.
Look, you gotta tell me why you're big.
It's freaking me out.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I've known almost my whole life, and you never were big before.
I know, I know. I'm gonna go big.
And I'm just like kind of trip backwards as I settle
as I'm walking back and I'm gonna walk next to you.
See, Pinley goes, you see goes, oh!
Oh, hey.
Big or small, still out of your league, baby.
All right, I appreciate the clarity.
This guy's now struck out on two pieces.
Struck out on Maria.
You're gonna take your arm as I walk next to you?
I don't know why I went big.
I don't know how it happened.
We were down, we, I, I guess I
they weren't there anymore.
I just remembered.
There were all these stories growing up in the orchard,
you know, how these fairies would,
they would be able to go big and protect people.
And it was just, I don't know, it's just a legend.
But it seemed so possible.
And then the brazers were there,
and they don't know if it was Taylor's spirit.
Maybe it was Teo, or maybe he's with me,
and that's why I can do it.
I don't know.
It feels cool.
But also, magic is intention.
Magic is what you mean it to be.
Did you learn that in school?
Not really, kind of.
I've been trying to figuring it out.
But I think it is you.
It didn't need to be anybody else that made you do that.
I think you needed it enough that you made it happen
in that moment.
Yeah.
You are magic.
Not.
just in the way of like you being you,
but just you...
No, no, I know.
We're made of magic.
That's the whole thing, right?
Yeah, so you needed to be big.
You needed to get Tear out, which is an incredible.
And Sid, which is incredible.
You did it and you made it happen.
You were incredible.
Hey, is this shit getting slower?
Is this because you're big?
What the fuck is going on?
I'm walking.
I'm walking.
Does anyone in the group speak Sylvan?
I speak Sylvan.
Out of all the land.
I do not.
Give me Arcana with disadvantage.
Great.
And Valis and Julian can give me Arcana or history.
Can I do anything? I speak Sylvan.
You speak Sylvan? Yeah, give me, actually, you know what?
No, I'm not going to let you roll.
I'm on one too. I'm on one.
Oh!
With disadvantage, that is a 20 arcana.
Incredible.
What are we rolling, I'm sorry?
Either history or arcana or
either nature or history or arcana.
If you speak, someone.
Same for me across the board.
Nine. Nine, great.
Dirty 20.
Dirty 20.
Vailas, you overheard a word that was used
in something, which is actually two words,
that you overheard Salo speaking to Thimble,
which was Kouraslai.
I wrote that down.
Hero.
Yes, it basically means a...
You would just know that the tenon definition of the words
is fairy champion.
Fairy champion.
And...
But I think that, having heard that...
And on that 20,
I think you know that there is fairies.
You're speaking, Octus, fairies are made of magic.
And like there are a lot of things in Armand that work this way.
They are people, but they don't, people is a broad category.
You know, Fimble has 400 brothers and sisters and no mom or dad.
It's a flower.
Your mom's a flower that you were born out of.
So it's like, she's completely a person.
She has like a favorite restaurant.
She has likes and dislikes.
She has dreams and aspirations.
And she was born fully, not as a baby,
but as like a little kid out of a flower.
And I think you would know that your point about intention.
I think you also think about Azune and the things he said
about intentionality and about the shaping of clay and all the things you've learned.
And I think that you've heard,
I think on a 20, you've heard the term Corosly before,
but are also like, fairies don't exist in a taxonomy
of like, you were born this and you'll always be this.
It's literally like what you make the daring choices
to become, you will have always been.
Yeah.
The hag called you, Salo.
Salo called you Corosly.
Yeah.
which I remember reading somewhere in my sylvan is not great,
but does it mean hero?
Yeah?
So when we were in the dream world,
in Boller, kind of,
and you went and had a conversation with someone I couldn't see.
Yeah.
I think what you're doing,
as far as, at least in the magical sense of the word,
is you are becoming the thing you need to be
in molding yourself,
into that thing.
That's exciting.
You were now called a hero because you decided to be one,
and you made yourself one.
You came here, just where I were going, at least,
and you went and got.
Oh God, what's his name?
Who killed?
Casimir.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You went and got Casimir.
You did it.
We?
I mean, yes, everybody, you all went to,
you made the decision to go and track down
the person who got the Ozzy.
Sure.
I'm gonna look over at Julian as you're talking.
Julian, by the way, is walking.
Is there a different amount of light in the path you're taking?
Oh, it's a beautiful, this is one of the most beautiful pastoral roads you have ever walked on,
with a mill that is always somewhat in the middle distance, no matter how much the landscape changes around you as you walk.
So I think you're catching Julian as he's walking, he keeps glancing at the stretch of his shadow, then forward.
Back of the shadow.
Shut up.
He's kind of muttering under his breath.
You can't quite hear.
I'm going to slowly saunter next to you.
You know, it's an interesting coach off at the day.
There go.
There's a lot.
Sorry, 88-2-year-old.
I cannot believe.
You got me.
This does not happen.
Within your shadow, Fiazzi watches his two buddies walk away,
with you two motherfuckers right here,
and he goes, no! No! No!
No!
That was great. I just watched it and I was just like,
there it goes.
It's all good.
I know, I know.
I do.
I just had to write it down.
As much as the Ozzy's, whatever his plan was,
if he intended this or not,
we didn't have that information at the time.
You made yourself be the hero that we needed in that moment.
And how people call you a hero.
It's pretty cool. It's pretty weird.
It's pretty weird.
It's pretty weird.
But not in the way that you're not.
that you like pulver as a pheasant in front of people.
Wow. Sorry.
Yeah.
But I do think all that said, we need to be careful
around Obed. I think it's a lot for him.
Yeah, I think so. I'm, yeah, yeah.
Stop saying you're sorry.
Stop saying you're sorry.
Stop saying you're sorry.
As you, we come back to you guys in a second,
but we do find as we pick up this conversation,
the shadow begins to fade as you feel.
find the apple tree at the crossroads
and return to perhaps the most delightful place
we've been in this campaign so far,
the glorious barony of slope.
Tadda!
I'm gonna reach up, grab an apple off the tree,
take a big bite and go, oh, fuck.
It's like a crab apple, it's sour.
It comes through, it is simultaneously,
you have to crack into it,
And it's immediately mealy.
It touches you.
Oh, the place fucking sucks.
Don't eat the metaphor.
Don't eat the metaphor.
The rain, the rain is pouring.
The sun sort of vanishes as you come out of here,
and it is rapidly approaching nighttime
as you exit the Miller's Road here.
But you're probably, like, in this way,
you are now back in, you know, you've left the Miller's Road.
And based on that, not one, essentially what that means for us is,
you are aware of, you were aware of five trees,
sorry, you were aware of six trees, now you're only aware of five.
The five trees you're aware of are the one outside of Dolmachiar,
the one at the base of Olbeds, the one by the caller's perch,
this one by Sloke, and the one you exited out of in Tybury's Lee.
Okay.
Right?
So there's kind of five stops on this train, so to speak.
Until we unlock more trees.
Right, yeah.
The last travel has to be acquired.
Yeah.
This is the chocobo mode.
Yeah.
Chokemobo.
Oh, I want to ride my chocombo.
Let's have a sub game.
But Slok is quite nearby as you approach here.
And you guys have, I will say too,
I need another constitution save from you specifically.
Oh.
Bullocks.
Nope, is this a, well.
Beid, bro.
That's not bad.
16?
16's okay.
You stay at one, but you see,
Albed takes his second level of first, John.
Oh, Albed needs some sleep.
He looks down and says, no, no,
I'm fine.
Valis is carrying my pack.
It's almost night time.
We can grab a room at the inn in Slok.
Mm-hmm.
As you guys venture out towards Slope,
you go back towards the rainy old spot in Slope
and going up the sun.
I just noticed the rain.
Yeah.
The sun sets here in rainy old slope.
And as the sun sets.
To Bralla, back to Bralla?
Bralla.
Bralla's tavern.
As you are approaching Brawla's tavern,
you see the moldering old
you see the moldering old castle up on the hillside
where you had your fight still crumbling and falling apart.
The bridge that the dwarves are working on in town,
this sleepy little hamlet with the rain falling down.
And as you are approaching this dreary muck filled place,
you look out and see the tavern, the small little tavern.
and lights as rockets appear everywhere,
and you hear roars of laughter coming from brawls.
And within you hear a, not now,
I'm in the middle, it's my job to do.
Sorry, sorry, and you see sparks emerge
from this tiny little country taverns chimney.
And as you approach you see that there are multiple
probably like four, or a little bit more,
more than a handful of large wagons,
many horses, stabled, and royal penance.
As you see King Gus's caravan.
We don't stop here!
We've been Gus.
And you look and hear the voice of Demetis blix
echoing out from the tavern.
What the fuck?
Going, going, all right,
Listen, normally this goes much better.
Oh, I'm gonna do it again!
Pee-O-H!
And just hear rust screams and peels of laughter
from within the town.
Is that?
Disgust, this geek.
Yes.
What the fuck is going on?
Ooh.
You better be careful as I looked at PIN.
You look at PIN leaves this.
Damn it is this live?
Did I mention that?
You fucking...
I got nothing to say.
I got nothing to say.
I love everything this happened.
You see,
you see, do you guys approach the tavern?
Yes.
Oh, hell yeah.
As you guys approach the tavern,
a voice growls from the shadows.
I think, like, Kattinger, you see a fun time in a tavern.
Oh, I'm 30 yards ahead.
30 yards ahead.
As you walk by, you hear, halt, who goes,
Categan Vale, and Hawkins steps out of the shadows.
Oh, master veil, and two paws up on your chair.
It gives you a look on the side of the face.
You old vagabond, what are you doing back in Sloca?
No, I've got quite rare for someone to come to Slocke a second time.
That's rude to say.
Quite a bit of someone to come to Slocke a second time.
Oh, we've been having an adventure.
Can you spell it on me?
Give me a sniff.
Come on, just a little.
Demons and fairy in the dead, oh my.
That's right, we'll tell you the tales inside.
Is there a party in there?
Is there, tell me, hey, you tell me the truth.
Is there a fucking party in there?
You, is there a party in there?
His Majesty, the King, has come to visit perhaps the greatest
of all baronies of tune.
That's us.
We help with that.
I mean, we didn't do it all, but we helped.
Of course, who are you competing?
What are we doing here in the rain?
They'll fill you in.
All right.
You catch Julian like kind of looking,
as soon as you say party and his eyes kind of go white
and he goes like, mm.
Go, go, go, go, go, go.
Wait, is Hawkins a hound?
He is an enormous, he is a Timmons Rock master.
Oh, you mastate the ball.
He's a mastiff.
And you see stepping up from the shadows
quite soggy and wet.
You see Dame Morgaine steps out.
You see who is a, you see who is a,
a sort of healer, like herding dog,
with white and caramel brown and black
and blue splotches all over her body.
And you see she looks out and says,
Thimble, my lady Thimble.
Tamarcade.
You've returned to Slok.
I can't.
You are quite of a different size
than last I saw you.
Oh, yeah.
I am.
My, my, my dear friend, well, welcome.
She is going to hit, she and Hawkins,
she says, do these companions all travel with you?
Yes, yes, yes, I do it.
You see, Hawkins goes, scofflaws and scoundrels
as the black rabbits and clawney ride up.
They got to know each other.
Switch it out, switch it out.
What's that? Why? Switch out what?
Switch out what?
Switch on rose.
Why don't you switch your head?
You're big enough to do it with ease now?
And you see that he says,
Fine.
Switch your heads, lads,
and you see you go,
and pop on the Rose heads.
And hello, I'm Clarnie de Rose,
and it's a pleasure and an honor to meet you.
And you see that,
Hawkins goes,
barely tolerable, they're just nicer criminals.
And, and Ilkra.
You see that he says,
Companions of Thimble,
of the Fairfolk and Master Vale,
who have acquitted themselves with honor
here in the lands of Timeney,
risked blood and life in the service of this realm
in this land.
I am Sir Hawkins of the Hounds of the King,
in this my companion Dame Morgaine.
Morgaine looks up and says,
welcome to Slope, travelers.
If it please you, we here are serving at the pleasure of our king,
and we would, if it is all right with you,
wish to inspect to make sure that you bring
neither poison nor foul magic in the presence
of our king and his family.
Of course.
Divine sense passes over, Walker's ward
and protects you from their sort of divine sense
as they look throughout, they see the Faye,
passing over.
Belair doesn't register, I mean,
as register as maybe a guy with a magical mask.
I have the spies ring, so.
Oh, you have the spies ring on.
Fuck, yeah, you guys are all groovy.
They give you the once over.
I'd say she comes over, Julie,
and Dr. Nolm, Mrs. Cloy, it's gonna be as thorough as you like.
You see, she goes,
Sosy.
She's, she's, she's, you see, you see,
you see, she looks up, she looks out,
and she says, she says, she puts her two paws on you and says,
are you a druid by any chance, sir?
No, I just like attention.
Oh, you see, you see that she, she sniffs, she,
She sniffs around and she says,
Well, judging by the wine on your collar,
you'll find no such good vintage here in Sloke,
I'm afraid, my good sir.
But you are welcome here, and thank you for the respect you pay.
It is nice to enjoy the attention of a fellow knight,
even if that fellow night is currently getting soaked in the rain.
Let's get you inside into the warmth.
Cadigan pops out the door and goes,
they got your grass!
Chairman like, stumps and goes,
a slumming entities.
You guys...
I think as Octus turns to go in the door,
if there were a camera, he would turn away from it,
and Pinn is like pressed against the back of his head
to dodge the spell.
That's so funny.
Incredible.
You guys, you guys pass through,
and you see,
As you walked through leaving these two wet dogs out in the rain doing their job.
You see that there are a couple of human nights as you get closer as Morgaine escorts you to the tavern.
Look at that fluff butt.
Oh, we love it.
We also see here, I believe, let me just double check here.
Yes, hold on one second.
Oh, you see Morgan walks up to the door and you see that another dog,
comes out. This is a, oh, this is a tall, lanky, wolfhound looking guy. So like tall, gray, long, big.
And you see that he's a little bit of green to him. This is actually an orchid. This is a
Kahadi from an orchardish breed of dog. But you see that he looks out as she approaches
speaking to Morgaine. He says, Morgaine, you've been it in the rain for quite long enough,
don't you think? Why don't you let me get out there, get worn by the fire? And she says,
Groveland, this is Categan Vale and Thimble.
And you see, Groveland, who you've not met before,
looks up, but you have met him when he was stone.
And you see, he looks and says,
Oh, to you I owe, he says, sorry,
he goes, to you owe my very life.
It is an honor, I owe you a debt of service.
The honor's ours.
Let's get you inside with drink and food
and everything you need.
And you walk inside, the doors open,
Brawla, you see quite rosy-cheeked, the new Baroness Cosgrove, seated side by side with King Augustus Valion,
who is, he is bent over as Demidas. You see, Demetus has a weird, like, homunculi, and there's
a illusory, like, harpy and a big sort of like simian-looking dragon ogre thing. All of them are
fumbling over these illusory bottle rockets that keep going off. He's doing an illusion.
about an illusion show that he's fucking up.
So all of the illusions, he's like,
this is totally out of my hands.
And you see that as he's there,
you immediately see Demetis who looks amazing.
You see that he even has like more of a silvery five o'clock shadow
than he ever has before.
He has like a little druidic pouch around his chest.
Gus watching Demetis is laughing so hard
that he looks in medical danger.
He's like screaming.
I believe it!
He's crying, laughing.
Keep working, you can put King Killer on the flyer.
And Belair, you see Martin, the hounds that were in the battle
where you saved this dude's life.
You see they're all around that these guys are,
Martin is there, the Duchess Elizabetha,
or his sister, his nephew,
few is here, many of his knights are around.
You see the local Sloke knights that are laughing,
but kind of can't believe that they've been visited
by the king, these like extremely like parochial pastoral knights
with rusty armor with that, their actual king here
in the tavern with them.
Brawl is here.
You see a group of dwarves in the corner
that are also howling with laugh at these
for the guys that are working on the bridge.
One of got a small little, there's a dwarf there,
bright red beard who's got a small,
looks like a familiar on his shoulder
that is a griffin with the front half of a chickadee
in the back half of a hamster.
So it's like about that big.
Incredible.
What?
I won one.
I won one.
I won one.
Just, could I order one of those?
I don't know.
And you see also Cyrus, the Druid that was here before,
who is not as hard as everybody else,
but he's got his arms across and he's smiling,
looking at the show, going,
seemingly very proud of the new archmage of timony.
As you guys all flood in, what do you do as you walk in?
Because all heads turn, this place is packed to the gills.
It is so like cold and rainy outside, and you walk in,
and it is so hot and musky with wood smoke.
It smells like good food and liquor and muddy boots
and all of the fire evaporating the rain off of people.
It's as warm.
It's like a toasty, warm blanket in here of musk and laughter
and people smoking and drinking.
And what do you do?
All heads turn to you as you walk in.
I'm heading right to the bar.
You head right to the bar.
Two pints.
You see, Brawlett says, two pints.
Oh, it's very well right in front of you.
I grab them and I bring one to Octus.
It puts people at ease.
Just to nurse it.
I appreciate that. Thank you.
And just waves at Demidas.
Demetus was over.
Devinus was over and goes,
everyone, please put your hands together for none other
than my friend and yours, Octus Tacodent.
I think that's where we have to stop this episode.
Never mind putting people in.
I was a poor...
I want to be in this party so bad,
but I do think that's where we have to call.
We have so much time before the next episode.
going to do and I want to keep playing with you so bad. But also this is going to be such a fun
thing to look forward to. Oh, yeah. That is so excited.
Holy shit. I fucking love it. Oh, I meant this more in my life. Is it Thursday yet?
