For me to walk from my bedroom to the bathroom, I fainted a few times face down because my iron or ferretin level was zero.
Like there's corpses that have a better iron level than that.
And I'm thinking, what can I do?
What kind of action can I take that shows faith?
I mean, I'm sick, I'm broke, I'm busted, disgusted, whatever.
I'm a failure according to every measure of the world.
But something inside of me got me up in my boxer shorts and my beard.
not because it was fashionable,
but because I couldn't have the strength to shave
or afford to lose any blood.
I walked those seven steps,
and I called to my mom to take my picture.
And she came, what's wrong, what's wrong?
I said, Mom, please take my picture.
And she said, I don't wanna take your picture.
It breaks my heart just to look at you.
And I said, Mom, take the picture.
And she said, why do you insist?
Can't we wait till you're well?
And I said, Mom, you need to take this picture
because the world's not gonna believe
what God's about to do in my life.
Welcome to culture and Christianity.
The premise here is that our faith isn't just something theoretical that we gather in a church and talk about.
It has to be lived out across the breadth of our life.
It has to change the culture in which we find ourselves.
Our faith isn't real.
Well, I'm excited about our guests today.
He's an expert on the subject matter, but he's also a friend.
Jordan Rubin, welcome.
Thanks for having me.
I'm excited to be here.
I mean, you are synonymous with health and nutrition.
But you also wrapped that around a very strong respect
for the authority of Scripture.
So I know this has been a lifelong journey for you,
maybe for those that are listening
that don't know your story,
to start with how this all became so mission critical for you.
Oh, I'd love to.
I think the passage that says to whom much is given,
much is required or expected,
is really an appropriate way to describe why I do what I do.
My upbringing was rather unique.
I'm Jewish.
100% or rather 99.
Apparently there was a Moabitis and an innkeeper in my lineage.
But my parents came to know the Lord when I was two.
So I grew up a little bit confused thinking that I celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah.
But the truth is we didn't celebrate Christmas.
So I was a messianic Jew, but definitely came to know a relationship with Jesus more in a Baptist church
in a Bible study called experiencing God by having.
Henry Blackaby years ago. And it was an amazing, subtle yet powerful shift that at 16 years of age,
I could have a relationship with a living God. Thank God that, it turns out I already had one
from a younger age. I just didn't know how to articulate it. And when I was a teenager, I really
committed to following God that led me to college where I was very involved in church. I would
minister to people in the student copy center. And for those who don't know what a copy is,
we used to actually make photocopies, not scans or take pictures on our smartphones that we didn't
have. But I really woke up every morning in college asking God to give me opportunities to share
his goodness. And it was a really awesome experience for me. And I remember thinking, and I don't
recommend anyone follow suit here, that because I'm young and I'm eschewing the things of the world
and following God at this age, my life is going to go sort of perfectly up from here. I didn't
mean that in a worldly sense. Just God would take me from glory to glory. What I didn't realize
is the glory to glory process is usually more like this. And for those of you who are listening,
my hands waving really high and really low. And it seems like months later,
I was a counselor at a Christian summer camp when I started to develop symptoms, digestive symptoms,
and a fever that ultimately developed into a diagnosis of Crohn's disease or Crohn's colitis.
And mind you, this was almost 30 years ago where hardly anyone knew about this disease.
It's an embarrassing bowel disease where you're in the bathroom all day.
And in some cases like mine, I became emaciated and weak.
It's a life-threatening. It is. And now you see it, if you're watching a sporting event,
there's three commercials or five for ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease medications.
Back then, it wasn't talked about. But for me, I had such a severe case that I lost 80 pounds.
I was down to 104 pounds in a wheelchair. My dad is a naturopathic doctor and a chiropractor.
So we had a healthy lifestyle until I went away to college and changed that a little bit.
and he had a lot of resources to help me on the natural side,
but I had to go the conventional route,
had to go the medication route.
And I was on dangerous medications,
and my doctors were telling me,
you can maybe have children,
but you have to be off this medication,
and you can be on this medication.
It's incurable.
And here I am 19 years old thinking,
what happened to God having good plans for me
to prosper me and not to harm me,
to give me a future and a hope?
I kind of believed it was like a cold or a flu that it was going to go away, but that didn't happen.
And days turned into weeks, months, and I was ill for two years.
And when I say ill, no remission, every day, constantly sick, feeling like I was getting surgery done on my gut without anesthesia.
People said to me, were you depressed? Were you suicidal? I wasn't suicidal, but I also didn't want to live.
I wanted to be with God.
I went from being kind of the life of the party to someone who, when I went out of my home in a wheelchair, people would be repulsed by.
Maybe I had something that they could catch or communicable.
I mean, it looked like someone with AIDS or what others would say, a Holocaust survivor.
And an amazing thing happened during the midst of my illness, probably the worst part.
My eyes started to not work well because I was losing so much muscle.
and so much vitality.
And a friend of mine was badgering me to come visit.
And I didn't want anyone to see me, much less hang around.
But she came and she was reading the Bible to me.
And a verse popped out that became at the time my life scripture, Hebrews 111.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
And I was sitting there with every good excuse in the book.
But I'm reading about faith.
and then I read without faith it is impossible to please God.
And I also knew that faith comes by hearing the word of God.
And then the toughest scripture of all for me, faith without action or works is dead.
Now I'm living in my parents' home, being taken care of like an infant, had to drop out of college.
My whole life's turned upside down.
And for me to walk from my bedroom to the bathroom, I fainted a few times face down because my iron or ferreton
level was zero. Like there's corpses that have a better higher level than that. And I'm thinking,
what can I do? What kind of action can I take that shows faith? I mean, I'm sick, I'm broke,
I'm busted, disgusted, whatever. I'm a failure according to every measure of the world.
But something inside of me got me up in my boxer shorts and my beard, not because it was fashionable,
but because I couldn't have the strength to shave or afford to lose any blood. I walked those seven
steps and I called to my mom to take my picture. And she came, what's wrong? What's wrong? I said,
Mom, please take my picture. And she said, I don't want to take your picture. It breaks my heart just to
look at you. And I said, mom, take the picture. And she said, why do you insist? Can't we wait till
you're well? And I said, mom, you need to take this picture because the world's not going to believe
what God's about to do in my life. And I wish that everyone listening and watching thought that I
had this kind of faith the whole time. It was fleeting. It was mustard seed size. I fell in the
water after walking on it, but my mom took my picture with an old school camera, and that photograph
in that act of faith didn't cause me to get well the next day or next week or next month,
but about a year later, I met a man by phone, the 70th expert I consulted with 70. I went all over
the world trying to get well. And he said, Jordan, if you will follow a diet based on the Bible,
you can be well. And I didn't get saved during my illness, but my relationship with God deepened,
in a sense, some of which was because I was angry, some of which was because I was desperate.
But I got so much hope from what this man said, because earlier, when I knew my illness was not
a cold or a flu or going away in a week, I made a commitment that if,
God would heal me and I could help just one person overcome disease or better yet avoid it,
then this living hell will have all been worth it. I realized how valuable your health is.
I was an immortal teenager. Nothing could go wrong. And I knew in my heart and my spirit that would
ever help me I would help others with. And praise God, it was something that was teachable,
reproducible, and only he could gain the glory. And so travel to California in a wheelchair,
followed what I would later call the maker's diet.
40 days, I literally went from death to life.
I remember gaining almost 30 pounds in 40 days.
And my dad and mom came to visit me.
This was in San Diego.
I left that out.
I was in South Florida.
Flew to San Diego to live with this man named Bud, who was going to help me.
And my parents got off the plane to see me, and my dad hugged me, and he made this interesting
comment.
I'll never forget.
He said, there's so much of you to hug.
You know, it's interesting how powerful words are.
And that was a compliment.
Yes.
And in 40 more days, like this man, Bud said, I was on the beach on my 21st birthday working
out because he told me I would be.
And at that point, I committed my life to sharing this message, started one person
at a time working at a health food store and ultimately starting a company, writing books.
And today I'm still sharing that same message.
and it's amazing that in the beginning, people would resonate with my story more than what I knew, more than the recommendations.
I remember sitting in doctor's offices. They had all kinds of credentials and diplomas, but I wanted to hear someone who had been where I was and come out the other side as a conqueror.
And so there were people that would say, I resonate with your story. I saw me. And whether it was Crohn's disease or psoriasis or cancer, and I'm a tour.
20-something-year-old kid saying, I don't know much. What I do know is this, once I was almost
dying and now I'm healed. And I don't want to oversimplify and say I'm doing the same exact thing
today, but I try to keep that in context. Used to carry a photocopy of that before picture
in my back pocket. And now I try to carry it in my heart because I still complain about things.
I still am frustrated by things, but when I'm in a discussion like this with you, Pastor Allen,
it helps me realize just how great a gift I've received and what a privilege it is to help
others on that journey.
So we're still following God on that curve.
Oh, yeah.
Hopefully I'm on the upswing right now.
That's a good thing.
But you have, I mean, so you've really spent your adult life understanding and helping
other people understand how what we eat impacts.
the whole of our life.
I know you've got some principles that you share with that.
Can you give us an overview of kind of the shortcut on how to summarize that?
Before we even get into food, if you look at sort of what God did in my life,
and I didn't mention this because it would be an entirely other program,
but years later, I went through a terminal cancer battle that God healed me from,
and it would have been 15 years after.
and I tried not to be like the Israelites,
or I should say like the disciples,
when they watched 5,000 men being fed
and they wondered how Jesus was going to feed 4,000.
I still try to rack my brain saying,
is this the same story they tell?
But it seems like it's two different occasions.
So I use some of the faith I learned during that journey as well.
But what I would say before I talk about food
is that forgiveness is absolutely critical.
I watched my grandmother die.
with bitterness because her sisters and their family were gunned down by the Nazis in Poland.
And I get it. I can't imagine it. I don't, I'm not able to have empathy. But when I was explaining
to her and trying to minister to her at the end of life that this isn't what God did, this is
the result of a fallen world, et cetera, I realized how powerful that unforgiveness scenario is.
And we were talking about ORU. I was at an ORU conference and somebody said that if you
harbor unforgiveness towards somebody that turns to bitterness. It's like drinking poison and expecting
it to kill them. And I quoted it so many times. And sleep, sleep's another one. I'm giving people
these freebies because health is more than eating. I talk about, I'll call it a positive mindset,
but it's really, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. And out of the overflow of the heart,
the mouth speaks. I see people saying that I have cancer or my son is autistic or my sister's diabetic.
We use these terms as if we own these diseases. And I am very careful. I learned this during the
cancer battle that life and death is in the power of the tongue. And so I try to be very careful
what I say and what I watch and what I hear. But that's really critical because if I meet someone
with cancer and they talk about cancer a thousand times a day and talk about being healed once,
the odds are not good. And so before we get into food, I want people understand those areas are important.
I think exercise is incredibly important. Sunshine's important. These are all free and these are
therapies that our ancestors engaged in without thinking twice. The diet stuff, you're going to step on
some toes, but I've talked about this many times. I believe we should eat what God created for food.
I don't think that involves pork and shellfish. I think the Old Testament is anything but old.
We were talking about scripture and how revelatory it is, no matter when it was written,
as revelatory today as it was yesterday, the day before, and we'll be forever. So I think God created
us and he knows what's best. So I don't recommend eating pork and shellfish and
squid and eel and things like that.
I know those are delicacies, and why wouldn't they be?
The world celebrates what God hates.
I think eating diet sweeteners are bad.
I believe that that's now being more understood,
because when they came out, when we started,
this was back in the day with my great aunt
with their sweet and low on the strawberries,
but pink yellow and blue packets,
they're not going to help you lose weight,
and they're made in a laboratory.
And I think God created good sweet things
like honey and dates and fruit, et cetera, maple syrup.
And then I tell people to avoid processed vegetable oils
or what's now being called seed oils
in the steak and shakes of the world.
It's amazing how this is becoming commonplace.
But those are the big three.
I do believe sugar is dangerous,
but consuming sugar in its natural form
is far better than something synthetic.
And there's more white flour
where you take the nutrients out
and add things that don't belong.
But I believe we have to take God at His Word, but also understand our creation.
The Bible's not a nutrition book.
But if you ask God to show you how to eat and live, there's an outline there that I've
tried to share with people over the course of years.
And I've seen so many people set free.
There's a mutual friend we have who's a legendary pastor here, Don Finto, is going to be
95, and he's one of the first people along with you that I sent my book. And Don is an amazing
human being in the fact that he read it in like one sitting. And he said to me, Jordan, I've been
following your plan for 20 years, but I've learned new things. I've taken notes. I'm so excited.
And I watch as he walks up his steep driveway at soon to be 95 years old. And I say,
that's a modern day, Caleb. He's going to Israel. He's going to the Middle East. He's arguably
more effective for the kingdom today than he was when he was a pastor here at a big church.
And that's what I aspire to be. It isn't just about living long. It's about living a life like
Moses or Caleb where towards the end of it, they say they're as strong as they ever were.
And you can do that if you align yourself to God. But it's hard, Pastor, because there's so much
temptation to eat what's fast, to eat what tastes good, to medicate our stress with food.
You know, ice cream is amazing in that it's a punishment when things go wrong and it's a treat
when we get promoted. And by the way, I make ice cream. I just make it out of real ingredients.
I can make pizza. It isn't like I'm eating twigs, rocks and a couple of berries, but there are
certain things that if you will heed God's word and understand our body's physiology,
it will make a huge difference.
And you and I share a passion for animal health
because I have farms
and I guess you could call me a farmer
and it's very, very similar.
The health of our animals
mirrors the health of people,
mirrors the health of our soil.
And I've been trying for the last 25 years
to tie it all together.
And I have this vision and mission
to heal the planet,
feed the world, and eradicate disease.
And I believe all of that can be done
by following the health secrets of the Bible.
I saw a quote when I was at ORU recently,
and Oral said, make no small plans here.
So I don't think you made a small plan.
No.
I want to push a little further with the nutrition,
but I want to go back for just a moment
because you made the point briefly.
You had ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
when you're a young man, but years later,
you're faced with a cancer diagnosis.
And those aren't joined by years of,
paganism, you know, you've been walking with the Lord, honoring the Lord, helping God's people,
and you still had to overcome another health challenge. And I know there's people that listen
or watch that think being a Christ follower takes all of the hurdles out of our lives.
And that that isn't reality. Following the Lord still comes with challenges. But I know you did
that with faith and the determination. I've heard you, we've talked about this in other settings.
to learn anew, the same way God showed you the first time a pathway.
You seem to have a confidence that he would show you a pathway through the second time.
And I think that's important for people listening to know that when you face a challenge,
God intends to give you a revelation that will bring you to a greater freedom in your life.
It is so true, even though I've asked God many times to be able to learn from books and other people's challenges,
I do think what Psalm 23 says, we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
The Bible also says in Isaiah that we'll walk through the fire but not be burned.
We'll walk through the water.
We won't drown.
I'm paraphrasing.
We'll walk on burning coals and not be burned.
And I think once you have a, especially with a family and you have team members and employees
and you've got people that count on you, you learn through that.
you know, whatever you want to call it,
school of hard knocks, experience, et cetera.
But I do believe no matter what we go through,
whether it's financially,
relationally in our marriage,
kids that are wayward, so to speak,
or our health,
there's a purpose in the pain.
And you can go from tragedy to triumph.
I think one thing I didn't mention earlier
that is a non-nutrition-related component
to our health is this fear versus faith.
And I often think in my mind,
my own life, whatever I'm concerned about now, it's really a fear of the future. When you're
diagnosed with cancer, especially if you say that you're a female and you have a lump in
your breast and you get a mammogram, you don't, you're not in pain, you're not, but you're told
you have cancer and you immediately imagine yourself going through tough treatments, losing your hair,
and then you imagine yourself dying young, right? Or you look through the lens of faith and you
imagine yourself being a conqueror and sharing with other people who are going through that
valley of the shadow of death that they can overcome. And the Bible says we overcome by his word
and the blood of the lamb. And one translation says the blood of the lamb and the power of this
testimony. And I try to think, where's the testimony in the making? When I was diagnosed with cancer,
the doctor said if I didn't undergo conventional treatments immediately, there was a one,
100% chance I'd be dead in 90 days.
Now, no one wants to hear that.
No one wants to hear 10% chance.
But immediately I thought this is a testimony in the making because how could you even
say that?
And the doctor's a well-meaning doctor.
It's not like he wanted to harm me or curse me, but I chose at that moment to give it
over to God.
And it's interesting.
I just shared a message on a program recently, Pastor.
and I don't think I shared this with you previously.
When I was told that by the doctor, he left the room to get some files.
This is a doctor's office.
And I told Nikki to stand in front of the door so he wouldn't, you know, no one would come in.
And I got my, Nikki's my wife.
I got my face on the ground and I quoted Job 121.
Naked I came into this earth and naked I shall return.
It is the Lord who gives and the Lord who takes away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
And it's not a system.
I call it Job's Prayer, but I've done it about nine times when I'm punched in the face, the gut,
I can't breathe, I can't do anything.
And I'm simply acknowledging that God's the only one who can do this.
And if I could help give somebody one thing, it wouldn't be a pill, it wouldn't be an exercise
prescription, it would be faith over fear, and it would be hope.
because that's what really drives us to make these changes in these decisions.
And that's also what I believe causes us to hurt, be sick, and die because we envision a future
like that.
And I know people don't talk about imagination much, but my new favorite verse is Ephesians 320.
And God will give us more than we can ask, think, or imagine according to his power within us.
but if you can't if you're imagining yourself dying more than that's not great but if you imagine
yourself thriving and sharing a message with one person or people or writing a book about it
that's something that god can work with hey i've written the new book angels demons and you
i believe i believe in angels i believe in demons and i believe they impact you and me we better
have a plan for that you know i meet christians all the time he says well i just don't believe in that pastor
like to talk about that. That's a novel approach. I like to eat chocolate. Suppose I said,
I just don't believe chocolate will make you fat. I don't believe that. It wouldn't make me thin.
Denying the truth of Scripture will not make us safer, happier, are our lives more fruitful?
We need to take counsel from the word of God so we can live victorious lives. Angels and demons are
real. The demons oppose the purposes of God for you. The angels will help with the purposes of God for you.
We need a plan for how we can engage in a meaningful way.
This book is taken from Scripture intended to help you flourish in your journey through time.
You can get a copy at allanjaxon.com slash warfare.
You know, for full disclosure, we bumped into one another casually at an event,
end of the year.
And I made a comment to you that I wanted to get a little healthier.
And you were very gracious to me to give me a little coaching.
And so I'm a few months into this.
really does make a difference. And for those that listen to me very much, they know I'm a big
advocate for Oreos and cheese doodles and all sorts of things. And you've said to me many times,
no judgment here. Well, Pastor Allen, I almost reached out to you two weeks ago and said your
clothes are looking too big. So congratulations. I've given health advice to a lot of people, and you can
imagine, like in your line of work, not everybody listens, but you have done great. And I trust that it's
helping you do what you're called to do more effectively.
Not everyone's called to share a message of health, just like not everyone's called to preach,
but I love to play a small role in that.
I had a good friend of mine who's a chiropractor and an evangelist, a year younger than me,
called me up a couple of months ago.
We had a great talk on a Friday.
On a Monday, he called me with slurred speech diagnosed with glioblastoma,
given maybe a year to live.
And we rallied around him.
And he's like family to me.
And yesterday, after I would say a relatively short time of prayer, of doing some of the things that I've encouraged you to do that we talk about in an upcoming book, The Biblio Diet.
I was at dinner yesterday when I got a text that he had just visited an oncologist.
And he said, praise God, I'm cancer free, all caps.
And I started crying at the dinner table.
And I don't cry much.
My kids, some of them get sensitive to that.
But what an opportunity to see this.
This is someone who has since COVID done 500 Zoom Crusades to Pakistan and to India and to Africa.
And they set slaves free in the brick trade.
And he was stricken with something where I listened to some recordings from MD Anderson,
a top cancer clinic, flippantly saying that,
that there's an upper limit of seven years if you will do this, this, and this.
And this is someone who's 48 years old with his wife on and has four children.
And to be able to play a role in someone's life like that,
it's the most exhilarating, exciting, best thing, best gift I could ever have.
And that's what I want to do now.
On the flip side, not every person turns out that way.
but I've seen much more often than not when people will follow God's plan and body, mind, and spirit,
they're going to be healed in a sense that they are going to be much better than they ever could have been.
And we've seen so many miracles and it's just an awesome thing.
And we talked on a previous program about this country being more conducive to caring for our health,
to ending what is now an epidemic in autism spectrum disorders,
which, by the way, has mirrored inflammatory bowel disease,
Crohn's and ulcerative colitis.
I think it's increased a thousandfold.
No one admits that, but somebody is going to admit it now
because Secretary Kennedy, he's going to come out with some things,
folks that are going to be astounding.
Cancer and heart disease out of control.
Diabetes, our diabetes, financial ramifications
are more than most nation's entire budget.
And I think we're going to see some of this change quickly, and I'd love to see the church be the catalyst.
Amen.
You know, it's storm season in Tennessee.
We have thunderstorms and the weather changes, and I like storms.
I'll go sit and outside and watch one.
But I've been saying for a few days that it seems to me in our nation we're in the midst of a truth storm.
The truth has been unleashed in ways that we haven't seen it in a long time.
And it can be frightening, it can be disruptive, it forces us to see things in new ways, it changes the landscape.
And I think that's true around health.
I mean, you mentioned Secretary Kennedy.
And I mean, I certainly doge is finding all this fraud and waste and it's startling and unsettling.
But I think there's every bit as much fraud in how we've been imagining our health.
I mean, from vaccines to what we eat and how our foods are prepared, he's been accused of being an extremist and dangerous.
Do you have any coaching or perspectives on what's being said?
Well, let me say this, and I'm very clear about the vaccine issue, and I have been for a very long time.
It's not my platform per se, but with my father, who is a chiropractor and a naturopathic doctor,
my sister and I were not immunized.
But when I was 16 years old, which is ironic that I'm saying this now and this timing,
there was a supposed measles epidemic at my school.
And it turned out to be one person with measles.
And if I did not want to be suspended from school, I needed to take a vaccine called MMR.
And I didn't own my health message at the time or truth.
I did what my parents told me some of the time when I was in the house.
But I took a small injection in the shoulder.
And years later, the research started to come out saying that the MMR vaccine could be linked to Crohn's disease
and ulcerative colitis or autism.
And that's since been, quote, unquote, debunked.
But watch, that's going to be, how do you, bunk, undebunked?
You know this.
I am a part-time resident of Birmingham, Alabama, along with Tennessee here in the Nashville area.
One of the reasons I'm in Birmingham is because my son isn't vaccinated and he plays on the football team.
And in order to get an exemption and in order for him not to eat on the meal plan, we had to have a residence there.
And I looked at it as an opportunity to keep our family together.
but we go to great lengths and make great sacrifices.
I told my son, I said, you have a dream to play college football,
but I hope if it comes with a mandate to do something you don't believe in,
that you stand up for that.
So it's been a real thing in our lives.
I'm not telling people not to vaccinate their children
and not to take a flu vaccine or a COVID vaccine,
but you should understand and count the cost.
And I could give you personal anecdotes,
some level of research that says,
that certainly for individuals, they should think twice before doing things that everybody
else is doing. And I'm someone who, my wife's family is very medically oriented. Mine is more
natural. And so we have that. People have to navigate that and make their own choices.
But what I see is we're going to be presented with truth and we're going to be presented with
options. And what I hope, and I've said this a few times, I hope people don't see what's happening
hear about the research and feel guilty because the truth is we've been duped in many ways.
We were told that certain things were healthy and they were okay for us, if not necessary.
And so many parents, and I've talked to thousands that have said I gave or I allowed my child
to get a vaccine and they lost their speech the next day.
I'm not talking about a mild decline.
I'm talking about full-blown autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's, et cetera, and they feel
guilty, but they were doing what they were told to do. And if you have an opportunity to make a choice,
we make choices in the church all the time. We choose to live a godly life in the confines of a
marriage, or we choose to go do whatever we want. We can do that with our spending. We can do that
with how we raise our kids, with, you know, the like. But when it comes to health, it's just
such a taboo area. And so I'm excited that the ceiling is going to come off or we're going to get
outside of this box that people are afraid to talk about health freedom. And if somebody chooses to
get a vaccine or take an antibiotic or get a cosmetic surgery procedure, as long as they know
what they're up against, as long as somebody can tell them in plain words, not those ridiculous
commercials which have the fine print and the real fast speak at the end. But
plain words what the risks are, I think we're going to live a longer, healthier life.
And it's so amazing. I've been sharing this message for a long time. And everyone I know,
it kind of comes back to Secretary Kennedy and Maha. And I just thought two minutes ago,
what an incredible responsibility this man has. But what an amazing legacy to be known for this.
Now, I've been in very small groups with RFK Jr.
talking about vaccines or pollution or cancer, etc.
When he was just sort of the black sheep of the Kennedy family.
But now it's just amazing the responsibility he has.
And it reminds me to pray for him because there's going to be some legislation,
pastor, that could save a million lives here, a million lives there.
Not a small thing.
Something absolutely huge.
Or prevent Alzheimer's or prevent diabetes.
and, you know, it's unbelievable.
You mentioned in the previous program the food pyramid and it's shifting over.
There was a real plan to create the ag system, the education system, the food system, the
pharma system, and it's all related to this pyramid that we've been living by that really should be turned upside down if not twisted and turned.
And so I know I'm not being very specific, but at the end of the day, if you eat what God created for food,
food with one or two ingredients, if you stay hydrated, if you exercise, if you get some sunshine,
get good sleep, get a lot of hugs and kisses, and forgive those that hurt you, that alone
could cause somebody's life to be absolutely changed if not saved. Biblical fundamentals.
I mean, they really are the fundamental principles of scripture. And we've talked in a number of
settings, and I know kind of the heart of your approach to diet is really taken from biblical
ideas. Not food is a means to righteousness, but food as a means to wellness. The point of the
whole kosher system, it didn't make, what's on your fork didn't make you holy. Jesus made that
really clear, but it makes you healthier. And there's an arrogance in the Christian community that we
want to reject everything that came from the Hebrew Bible and just say Jesus. And the reality,
there's a great deal of truth there that we need to incorporate it into our lives if we're going to
fulfill what God created is for.
I want to come back to this for a minute because it's a confusing set of topics, I think,
for most people.
I interviewed a doctor a few days ago who's been a committed pro-life and has done a lot of
work on in-utero procedures, open-heart procedures for children still in the womb, babies with
their own surgeon and their own anesthesiologist and their own patient number. But the day that
after the program was released, his privileges were revoked in a Christian hospital. And I think
for the people that watch and listen and don't live really close to this, it's confusing because the
messages are conflicting. Even in the medical community, the messages are conflicting. And parents want the
best for their children. So where do we point them? So to go start to get some information so they can
start to learn and walk through this.
Because there's not a single source.
We can't even all agree that saving hundreds of billions of dollars is a good thing.
So we're burning Tesla's in the street right now, which is absurd and evil.
Well, it's going to be equally true, I think, with our health discussions, that it's not going to be
widely accepted.
There's not going to be just a huge, clear mandate.
So where can we point people to begin to sort this out?
Now, the topic you brought up is very complicated.
My wife was in service here last weekend, and she filled me in on that along with some other things, which is just so hard to believe.
But I do pray and believe that that doctor will be rewarded, and God will restore with the locusts and the medical community and the hospital has eaten.
But let me say this.
If we call ourselves Christians and believe that the Bible is the Word of God, it's almost like we have some hacks.
I'm going to say hacks because it's a term people use biohack, et cetera.
in an upcoming book called the Biblio Diet,
God has been so gracious to reveal things to me
that were in scripture all along
that I didn't talk about in Maker's Diet or previous books.
And one of them comes out of First Kings 4,
and it is something that the Christian Medical and Dental Association
is going to get very upset about.
They can't revoke my membership because I'm not a member,
but King Solomon, who God says was the wisest man on earth.
Now we know at the end he lost some wisdom,
with close to 1,000 women in his life. But he says, or the Bible says, these were Solomon's
daily provisions. I mean, I remember walking on our farm once, talking to our farm director
saying, you know what? I think there's a part in the Bible that says what King Solomonate.
And if he was the wisest person who ever lived, he knew everything about animals. He knew everything
about science. He knew everything about wealth and wisdom. And so he ate. He ate.
every day. And it starts with grass-fed cattle, stall-fed cattle, deer, robux gazelle, choice foul,
and then it says meal and flour. So get this, King Solomon's daily provisions, and I want to know
how many people ate at his table, because then I could find out how much is the right amount to eat.
We're talking about bread and meat. I don't know a single diet today that says bread and meat is good.
Most diets say neither, and people swear that red meat is bad for you.
I've been saying to eat red meat for 28 years.
It's been a part of my recovery, and it's the food that people in the Bible ate whenever they could.
Whenever they celebrated anything, the story of the prodigal son, kill the fatted calf.
Abraham and Sarah and the three angelic hosts before Sodom was going to be destroyed, kill the fatted calf.
The list goes on and on.
people throughout the world have always eaten red meat whenever they could.
And I raise livestock and I understand how powerful it is that God created them to eat grass
that we can't digest and turn it into super nutritious food with every nutrient that's popular,
creatine, carnitine, collagen, you name it.
So I believe red meat not only is okay, but I believe it should be on your daily table.
But if you're someone who's a Christian, your biohack is, well, it already says it in the Bible.
going to follow it. And when we do another program related to the Biblio Diet, I'm going to share
something with the audience that you know about and you're practicing that also comes right out
of scripture. And I'm going to challenge people, if you take God at his word, take God at his word.
Now, the world can say, well, that's just a proverb or that's just some book. But for us,
it's life. And these are things that I want to bring to the forefront. And plenty of people who are
plant-based dieters are going to argue with me. People who are medical doctors, whether they're
Christians or not, are going to argue with me. But don't blame me, blame Solomon. And if you don't
want to blame Solomon, blame God, because God said, and Solomon was the wisest man on the earth.
So that's just one example. Go out and eat red meat. There's a reason we want to eat it.
And there's a reason that men want to eat it. And there's a reason that women wanted at certain
times. And point being, that was created for us to eat. As was olive oil, that's a less
sort of controversial element to a diet. But everything we see in the Bible and we understand in
biblical history will lead us to a way to eat and live. You don't have to be all plant-based.
And people get all crazy. They say, I'm a vegan or I'm a carnivore now, or I'm on keto,
or I do intermittent fasting, or I practice this, that, or the other. Eat real food and eat it as
close to its created form as possible, and you will make great strides. I love fasting and
integrating that into your diet because your body was made for it. But these are things that
may be controversial, but I've had people recently say to me that are more new converts to health
because they're excited about the Trump administration and make America healthy again. And they make
this comment, Jordan, you wrote about this in 2000. And believe me, Pastor, I stand on the broad
shoulders of people who wrote about this earlier than me. But they say imagine if people would
listen then. And it's sad to think about, but what do they say? The best time to plant a tree is
yesterday. The second best time is today. That's the same thing about a diet change. The best time
was yesterday. Second best is today. Well, I'm excited about your new project. It's the Biblio
diet. When is that going to be available? It'll be August, September timeline. And you were one of about
10 who received our first manuscript, and I'm really excited about the truth that's coming.
And I do have a hidden agenda in that I love that Bobby Kennedy is doing so much, and I love that
the Trump administration is allowing it, but health was not their idea.
It's God's idea.
And I want people to say, I am following the Bible.
The name the Biblio diet, because Biblio means book.
People don't realize that the Bible is called the Bible because it's the book.
It was really the Tanakh and the Brit Khadashah.
But I want people to go around saying I'm following the Biblio Diet.
Because years ago, people said they were following the paleo diet.
And I remember I was talking to an amazing Christian woman who asked me to write the forward
to her health book, Pastor's wife.
And she talked about the paleo diet.
And I said, please forgive me.
You're an amazing teacher and so wonderful.
but I don't like the idea of promoting the paleo diet
because it presupposes that we were on the earth
for millions and billions of years.
And it's very evolutionary in its construct.
And so I said, instead of the paleo diet,
let's talk about the bibliot diet.
It took me years to introduce it.
But the idea is by following the biblio diet,
you are eating by the book.
And we say you can live long, master metabolism,
fight depression, reduce pain,
and conquer cancer with the healing secrets from the Bible.
Well, we look forward to that. If somebody wants to know more about you or your content, where can they go now?
They can look me up online. There's so many great videos. If you're somebody, for example, who's battling cancer, I have a great video called To Hell with Cancer. And that will give you a blueprint of how to conquer pretty much anything. Ancientnutrition.com is another website. There's a lot of ways. But just type in my name in Amazon or if you want to see my before and after pictures. You can go to Google images. There's another Jordan.
Rubin that writes horror films. My kids call him the bad Jordan Rubin and his call me the weird
Jordan Rubin probably. But I'd love for you to have hope if you're somebody who's in the midst
of illness. It's one thing to try to lose 10 pounds. It's another when you're at death's door. And I have
great compassion and empathy for people who have no hope. And I can promise them there is hope.
And that's more deficient in people than vitamin A and omega-3 fats, et cetera, et cetera. So I
I like to call myself a purveyor of hope more than health or a hope dealer.
Well, I thank you for your persistent message.
You've made a difference in my life, and I know you're making a difference in millions of lives
across the country, so I very much appreciate it.
Thank you so much for having me, Pastor.
I have to lie.
There's another Alan Jackson, too.
I've heard.
Yeah, he's got a little bit more talent than I do, but he's not the bad Alan Jackson.
You know, the assignment, I think God is in the midst of making America healthy again,
fundamentally spiritually healthy.
And if we'll make those choices to cooperate with the truth that we know,
if you'll start with that truth with the simple biblical principles that you already know
and you'll begin to practice them,
I believe that we'll become healthier emotionally, spiritually, physically,
and that that can change our nation.
It's not a political problem we have.
It's a spiritual problem.
Culture and Christianity, it makes a difference.
And Jordan Rubin, I thank you for your voice.
It's been great to be here.
Thank you so much for having me.
