Starting point is 00:00:00 Nobody is better than you and nobody is smarter than you. Get that out of your head because that is a killer. That's a self-sabotaging idea. You see somebody doing better than you, the natural conclusion is if he or she's doing better than he must be better. No, they're not better than you. They're not smarter than you. They just learned the cause and effect relationships before you did.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Some of them are idiots. You have more intelligence and potential than you could ever use in 100 lifetimes. The question is, if it doesn't work, try something else. If you want to build muscle, what you do is you pump iron. And pumping iron, what you do is you pump blood into your muscles, and it breaks all the capillaries. It actually is an act of destruction. And then your body repairs itself and builds new capillaries around,
Starting point is 00:00:43 which is how you build muscles. And it's the same thing with your mind, is when you have experiences and you have setbacks that are distressing and you learn from them in your mind pumps higher. Just keep remembering. Failure is not an option. I'm unstoppable. Nobody's smarter than me. Nobody's better than me.
Starting point is 00:01:00 If they're doing better, it's because they figured out the formula before me. You gotta want it more than you hate it. These days get hard. I know. You're gonna have days where you do want to quit, but those are the days that you're being tested. God's not going to reward anyone who isn't being resilient. You've got to fight through the feelings and stop working based off your emotion and start working based off your discipline. And I promise you, if you do that, you're gone making. Trust me. People think you're okay, but you're exhausted. People think you're fine, but you're just about holding it together.
Starting point is 00:01:33 People see your smile, but they don't see the heaviness behind your eyes. They see your strength, but not the cost of carrying it. They admire your calm, but don't hear the noise in your head. They applaud your resilience, but don't ask about your recovery. They think you're busy living, but you're quite. quietly surviving. Because when you're the strong one, people forget to check in.
Starting point is 00:02:05 So here's your reminder. You're allowed to take a break. And you're allowed to rest. That you're willing to put something on the line for, put everything on the line for. And whether it's a success or a failure isn't really what makes it a great story. It's observing someone.
Starting point is 00:02:28 willingness to put everything on the line for something outside of themselves. Do not ever allow anyone and anything put you in a conceptual box. There is no, you must become this or you must become that. You can become everything as long as the mind is free and it's not preoccupied with any ideas of the parents, of the government, of the society, of the advertising, of the propaganda, of anything like this. The free spirit. Whatever keeps the free spirit alive, this is, I think, is there are just institutions and systems existing in this world right now. They are not made to make you bigger. They are made to keep you small. They are not made for you. They are not made for
Starting point is 00:03:35 you. They don't want you to free-sync. Because free-sinking, meaning you could possibly tap into the idea that there's a huge potential about you. Life is about losing. As we get older, we lose our hair, we lose our teeth, who lives, her mothers, our fathers, our sisters. But it's the ones who overcome that lost in life to shun away adversity and always willing to fight it every particular moment in life are the ones that are able to transcend and be able to spread the world to other people who's in that same particular genre as they are everybody gets one chance to do something great most people never take the chance either because they're too scared but they don't recognize it when it spits on their shoes this is your big chance then you shouldn't let it go by
Starting point is 00:04:31 failure is a test failure is an opportunity for you to learn from get up dust yourself off and keep moving forward. And if you're not willing to do that, your future will not be as bright as you want it to be. I'm not saying you have to love the word. Muhammad Ali, he said that I hated every minute of training. But I told myself, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. It's because you're ambitious, but you're lazy. You keep getting stuck in the same old habits and you remain stagnant. You can't make any progress. Why is that? It's because you lack and that you will win. If someone came to you and told you that if you do X, Y, and Z, you will guaranteed get the outcome
Starting point is 00:05:17 that you desire, you would do it because there would be no chance for failure. So what this tells you is you don't believe in yourself. You think that there is a chance that you will fail, but let me tell you something. You see, it doesn't really make sense. You simply cannot fail as long as you show up. You're going to step out from what you have always been into something new. You have to be prepared to cut all of the old out because all of the old will constantly be in your ear chirping, making you doubt, making you question, making you slow down, making you hesitate.
Starting point is 00:05:52 And all of those qualities will keep you from becoming that thing that you're trying to become. That version of yourself that lives inside of your heart that nobody else even knows about because you're too afraid to talk about it because you're afraid everybody's going to laugh at you. That's the thing you're supposed to become. Whatever that is, that's what you're supposed to become. You need to listen to that. Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't you
Starting point is 00:06:16 so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place. I think unbecoming is the greatest form of growth because I feel like you're always unbecoming. I feel like as a matter of fact, to a certain extent, you're doing more unbecoming than becoming. Along the journey of development, along the journey of accomplishment, right, you're always unbecoming.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I think you can become confident in any skill by just doing it so many times that you get bored of doing it. And as long as you don't let your first failure become your last failure, then it wasn't a failure. Stop waking up with some victim's story. I watch so many individuals that tell me I want to be successful. And then they come up with some piss poor story of why they're not there. The only person holding you back is you. And I watch too many people wake up every day saying, as long as somebody tells me, as long as somebody holds my hand, if somebody could just do this,
Starting point is 00:07:19 wake up every day saying it's up to me to make things happen. And time is all a construct. There is no element that you have to say, maybe in 10 years. Things can happen magically in an instant. We can take quantum leaps into massive. action in abundance and result. But the reality is there's an internal transformation that must happen before we see an external realization.
Starting point is 00:07:48 And if you're not somebody that's sitting there saying it's up to me and I get to design and let the universe align with that design, I am getting in the way of my success. So as you wake up today, tomorrow, the next day, the next day. next day. I want you to wake up with a blank canvas and a pen. And I want you to draw exactly with detail, exactly what success looks like, exactly what you're calling in, what network, what relationship, what tools, what resource, what money, what job opportunity, what situation you get to step into because you hold the pen. And as I challenge you to do this, I want you to watch as miracle after miracle starts to happen and don't be the interference for that.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Life isn't about handing what you want on a silver platter. It's about shaping you into the person who can handle it. Every step back is an invitation to grow, an invitation to show up stronger than the person you were yesterday. You can't build the life you want while staying the same person you've always been. Growth demands discomfort. Healing requires honesty. And progress asks for patience.
Starting point is 00:09:12 So believe me when I say you're being prepared for the things that you ask for. Keep showing up because on the other side of this test, your transformation is waiting. This lie that we tell ourselves about things waiting until tomorrow will ultimately cost you everything. You never start tomorrow. You always wait. And then you end up with a mountain so big you don't even want to climb it. So what's the answer? It's to do it now.
Starting point is 00:09:43 New Year's resolutions are you still working on? It's the middle of January, and according to U.S. News and World Report, 57% of those who set resolutions have already abandoned them. And by the middle of February, 80% of those who set New Year's resolutions will have quit completely wide. Three things hold us back and detour our progress. Influence, timing, and expectations. You see, when we set a New Year's resolution, most of the year's resolution, most of the ender our progress.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Most of the time we try to hold onto the past while we're ushering in the new, and that can't accomplish what we need to accomplish. When we set New Year's resolutions, don't you think it's to our best advantage to also set new relationships in place, new positive influencers in our lives who will hold us accountable and encourage us to take that step forward, to up-level our behavior, and make sure that we're walking on higher ground yet too many of us set these new year's resolutions and never revamp or recalibrate our relationships you see trying to hurt me by bringing up my past is like robbing my old house i don't live there anymore but how many of us failed to
Starting point is 00:11:09 understand that there's a man in the mirror a woman in the mirror experience also calling our name where we must stop living in the past because we say so and stop living in the future because we say so, eliminating that old person, that old attitude that brought us here today. So what I want to challenge you as we go into the new year is to be willing to fight a little bit. Hit your fight on a little bit. Listen, life doesn't give us what we would like to have, what we wish for, it doesn't even always give us what we dream for. It'll give us what we're willing to fight for.
Starting point is 00:11:52 And I believe you and your life and your spirit, your journey, your existence, your story is worth fighting for. I believe the people around you who would benefit from you becoming this next best person, those people are worth fighting for. I believe the people in your life who have sacrificed for you. Maybe it's your parents. Maybe it's your grandparents. Maybe it's your ancestors. I don't know. Those people are worth fighting for. They're worth honoring with the man or woman you're becoming. And settling is not an option in our lives. Settling is such a scary thing to do. And if you've been in that mode for a while, your past doesn't equal your future. You can make a shift at any given time in your life and decide I'm going to become a new person. People think when they get to a certain time of the year, there's this magical day when life resets and it's our opportunity to go after things.
Starting point is 00:12:47 that we've been putting off, saying, I don't have time right now, or I don't have enough time, or I'm not prepared, or I need more time, or all these different things we put off what we really want to get after. And we wait for this one magical day when we think we're going to restart and refresh this part of our life. And we resolve that we're going to do all of these things. And resolve is just a fancy word for, decide. So we resolve, we're going to do all these things and make them happen. And what happens is we resolve, and it doesn't take very long for that resolve,
Starting point is 00:13:19 to dissolve. Instead of waiting for that one day that's really no different than any other day, we should be deciding the things that we want to do, deciding the things that will make us better, that'll help us grow, that'll get us to where we want to be, decide those things,
Starting point is 00:13:35 and then set a goal. Actually commit to it by setting a goal, putting it in writing a very specific decision, a specific place that you're going to get to. We set that goal and we get after that goal by making it very specific. And then we make it measurable quantitatively so that we can see our progress in that goal.
Starting point is 00:13:56 And then we track that progress and we set a deadline by which we're going to complete this goal. And we start growing and accomplishing the things in our life by setting these goals. And as we're working on these goals and looking at these goals on a daily basis, we read a corresponding positive affirmation, that tells our subconscious mind
Starting point is 00:14:14 we're already there. You see, we start telling ourselves we are the person that we want to become in our mind, our subconscious mind, will help us get there. To resolve just means to decide, but if that's all we do is decide and then don't follow it up with any kind of action,
Starting point is 00:14:31 that resolve will dissolve. Set your goals, make your commitment, become the person you want to be by not just deciding, but putting it in writing. And if you feel darkness, maybe it is a time of rest. Maybe it is a time of renewal.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Maybe it is a time to re-energize. Maybe it's not about rushing towards the light. If you stayed up all night going, I can't wait for it to become light again, you're not going to get any sleep. And so sometimes we're in a bad place and we're just like, I can't wait for it to be lie again. As opposed to saying, well, let me lean into this.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Let me lean into what this is asking of me and asking from me. And maybe there's something to gain here as well. You're alone. You're alone. You may have a strength you're going to, you may have a best friend you're going to, but there's 24 hours in the day where you're alone in this brain and your brain is talking to you in all kind of ways. And it wants to control you, pull you in these different pockets. If you can't control your own brain and your brain controls you, you're going to tell your brain where you want to go and how you want to go and how you want to get there.
Starting point is 00:15:37 You've got to control it. If not, it's over. So I'm starting today by building a non-negotiable standard for myself, which I've come to realize is the only way we can ever grow and improve. When people say no one's coming to save you, they're not talking about how no one's coming to help you reach your goals. They're talking about how no one's coming to save you from yourself. Because without standards, man, we always lose direction and we always fall back to our lowest automatic systems. Binging, procrastinating, cleaning the comfort, and the fucking worst one of all, dude, lacking the desire to change. Because it's just too difficult and discomfort is so distasteful these days. So when I'm out here in the morning, it's not about mileage, it's not about pace, not really.
Starting point is 00:16:13 It's about creating a rhythm and creating a standard and a certainty and a world of uncertainty for how I want to see myself throughout the day. And now I have this new energy that I'll bring to everything else I do. I think we'll always have our daily battles with fear. But what letting go is and learning to let go is and really bringing ourselves to a place where we can truly begin to navigate these seas is we have to change our foundation. some of us have a foundation of fear. It's our home. It's our go-to. It's what we always go back to.
Starting point is 00:16:54 And I've been there. And when we learn to let go, what we're doing is slowly cracking that foundation, digging it all up, and replacing it with the foundation of hope and faith. The best piece of advice that I ever received is that you are what you think about. Everything that you think about, you become.
Starting point is 00:17:20 You become what you think about. Thoughts lead to actions. Actions lead to behaviors. Behaviors leads to lifestyle. Lifestyle determines your destiny. So everything begins in the mind. It's not on everybody else. It's on you.
Starting point is 00:17:37 You have to make things happen. Nothing is going to be given to you. You cannot have any part of your mind that thinks, oh, someone will just do this for me. You cannot have that in your mind. You have to do things yourself. You have to create things. You have to make things happen.
Starting point is 00:18:02 You have to do it yourself. No one's going to give it to you. No one is going to give it to you. And this doesn't mean you have to take from someone else. You have to build for yourself. We all have this voice. It's a right or wrong voice. A lot of times that voice guides us into comfort.
Starting point is 00:18:23 My voice guided me to comfort a lot. But I had this other voice. my whole life. Say hey, my fucker, what are you doing? We gotta go over here where nobody's at. That's where victory's at. Imagine walking out the door a loser. I would rather die than be that loser guy. Think about that. You want to walk out that door, a damn loser? You're going to walk out the door a winner. I'll fight to the death. And sometimes if we went close to dead, It sounds crazy, but you got to give it that much. If you want results, otherwise you'd be like everybody else.
Starting point is 00:19:01 The majority of the population, they think they're Cranhardt. That was cool. I found that I never found a single person who was successful, who was not excellent at what they did. That competence, the commitment to becoming excellent in your chosen field is an indispensable prerequisite for success. That if you are not good at what you do, you haven't got a chance in our competitive society unless you would have. in the lottery. That success is predictable. If you commit yourself to becoming excellent, it does a whole lot of other things within your mind. But if you commit yourself to becoming excellent, it changes everything about you. Must commit yourself to becoming the best. And the
Starting point is 00:19:40 wonderful thing is that excellence is a journey. It's not a destination. You never get there. Complacency and satisfaction of the key enemies of excellence. But once you commit yourself to becoming excellent, the whole world opens up for you. This means simply this. Do your best, every time out, and always strive to do it better. And what we do is we get to 90% done, And then we start to drag our heels. We start to put the paperwork aside. We start to think of excuses. We start to do what is fun and easy,
Starting point is 00:20:05 rather than what is hard and necessary. This is it. This is the year that changes everything. And understand the path to actually making progress and genuinely changing your life is quite simple. If you win enough days in your week, you win the week. If you want enough weeks in your months, you win the month. If you want enough months in your year, you win the year.
Starting point is 00:20:33 And if you win enough years in your decade, you win a decade. You win enough of those. Well, congratulations. You simply beat life. Right. But understand that everything is fully dependent upon the actions and the decisions that you take today. So choose your actions wisely. I've been doing this for two years.
Starting point is 00:21:00 I'm burned out, then you ain't got it, bro, okay? Because this is a long sprint. You are sprinting as fast as you can for your whole life, and you can't get around doing the work. And you're not going to figure out how to do it. You're not the first person in the world is going to figure out how to do it without doing the hard shit and putting in the time. You are not going to do it. So you have to ask yourself, is this a life I really want? Do I really want to pay that price? And what am I going to give for it? What's it going to cost me? Like, bro, it ain't for everybody. There is a reason it's rare. And the reason it's rare is because it's incredibly difficult.
Starting point is 00:21:33 And it takes a long time. And it has to be the focus of your day every single day. It'll punch you in the face a thousand times in a row and not give a how bad you're hurting. 2025 is your last chance to become the person that you strive to be. This is it. You don't get another chance after this. Because eventually you have to break the cycle, my friend. If you keep telling yourself, you're going to be something new year.
Starting point is 00:21:58 You're new me, right? Same person. We just can't keep happening. We gotta break the cycle. Otherwise, we'll never break it. The more time goes on that we exist within this dreadful cycle of stagnation, the harder it is to get out. You know, you've got to develop some sense of urgency here. You must get serious about two very important things. Number one is setting your goals and where you want to go. Designing the next five, the next ten years, is so vitally important. What do you want to do economically? Where do you want to go? What do you want to be? What would you like to have? What would you like to share? How much would you like to earn? How far would you like to go? Those are some major questions to ask. And for that all to work out like you wanted to for the next five or ten years. In my personal opinion, you've got to get serious. I'm going to look you in the eyes and I'm going to tell you the future. The world breaks everyone. You already know it's going to be wretched. the very good, the very gentle, very brave. If you break, the fight is just beginning.
Starting point is 00:23:15 There's no shame in being a broken man. This will be the story that I will one day tell. You just pick up the pieces. Rebuild it? Just the way it was, brick for brick. That means the harder it is. The pain that's going to come, it's going to come in waves. The more epic the story.
Starting point is 00:23:37 You must build belief. You must build confidence. By consequence, the more epic, the hero. You're not ready for what you want until you believe you can get it. You don't have enough faith in yourself. You have to believe he can. You need to have a shift in your perception of yourself. Really convince yourself that you can do it.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And if that's the game that we're playing, if I can construct my belief system, If I can choose at any moment. Step into your fears and continue to push yourself to go off. Something happens for you. To believe something that's more empowering than I was believing the moment before. It will enable you to transcend yourself. Find you're impossible. That's what you have to go after.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Winners define themselves by what they made happen. And losers define themselves by what happened to them. Every morning ago. I wake up, anxiety fills me. Stress down. I'm like, man. Because I'm not enough time. I'm at a time.
Starting point is 00:24:51 I'm running out. I haven't become the person I want to be yet. How do you believe? How do you change a belief? Interesting subject. Because I'm going to tell you something. Your results are nothing but the manifestation of your belief system. When you're working on something you want,
Starting point is 00:25:13 to achieve you have got to stand up to that voice you've got to sell yourself every day on your abilities on what you're doing on the goal that you want to reach you've got to sell yourself every day every day every day according to your level of belief it will manifest itself and what you're doing but the belief system you have to have if you expect to lose you will and a lot A lot of guys are very talented. A lot of women are very talented, but they don't think they can do it and they don't. This is why thinking is so vital. This is why a goal is so important.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Because we will become that. This is why people who set goals achieve them. The trouble with men is not in achieving their goals. They do that. It's an establishment. Well, I think there's an infinite source of supply. We've been endowed with mental faculties that the most erudite scientists won't even guess at. I think most people wander around in a deep sleep and they don't think, they don't invest in themselves,
Starting point is 00:26:24 and the second they wake up and start doing that, everything starts to change. A million dollars is not a lot of money. We're creative beings. We're working with an infinite power. And once we start to understand the power of our mind and then start to understand how to utilize it properly, then we'll understand that we can do virtually anything. Whenever you look at somebody that's been successful, do not. Allow yourself to make them extraordinary at your expense.
Starting point is 00:26:51 You're capable of whatever it is that they're capable of. But it comes down to the mental constructs that you're going to have to build and leverage in your own mind in order to do something great. And that became my driver. We set out to actively ask one question. What would we do and love every day, even if we were failing? Nietzsche said, I know of no better life purpose than to perish in attempting the great and important. The fact that something seems impossible shouldn't be a reason to not pursue it. That's exactly what makes it worth pursuing.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Where would the courage and greatness be if success was certain and there was no risk? The only true failure is shrinking away from life's challenges. Everybody wants to win, but in order to know how to win, you've got to know how to lose. Because you're going to lose more than you're going to win. But every time you lose, what are you gained from it? So every time I've lost, people say you've got to jump right back up. You're going to get back right on your feet again. And I disagree with that.
Starting point is 00:27:58 After you lose, for when you get knocked down, stay down there for a minute. But I don't look at failure's failure. I look at failure as your first, second, third, fourth, fifth attempt. I look at them as attempts. I don't look at anything as failure. because when you're going to try to do something, not trying is failure. It takes courage to act.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Part of being hungry when you've been defeated, it takes courage to start over again. And as you convince you, as you sell yourself every day, every day, every day, you will begin to see a difference in the things that you're doing. Selling yourself on your ability to perform a job, to achieve a certain objective telling yourself every day
Starting point is 00:28:52 here I go again and I got what it takes this is my day and nothing out here is going to stop me 90% of the game like I said before is right up here guys if you guys believe you can do this
Starting point is 00:29:08 and today I'm no longer be a loser today I'm going to achieve my fucking path I'm getting on the past success I don't care how long that road is I'm going to see it thrown on that road is at what because you know what I'm living enough years in this hole I don't want to be here anymore I'm not happy with this empire reading excuses I'm trying going through the same
Starting point is 00:29:30 search for most shit I would be different and last I look every single day I'm getting older meaning she running at a time it has nothing to do with who you are today don't worry about that I'm not very interested in the person that I am today I am the far cry from the person that I can imagine and the person I promised myself that I will continue to work to become. So it's not about who you are. It's about who you want to become and the price you're willing to pay to get there. You're going to be attacked, betrayed, exposed, and humiliated. And you'll survive that.
Starting point is 00:30:12 A lot of people can climb that mountain. It's the way down that breaks them. Because that's the moment when you are truly. What will you do then? Can you summon the will to fight on through all the pain and rise again? That will be the defining question of your life. And I think you already know the answer. You're going to be remembered forever.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Trauma, tragedy, darkness. They leave marks that never fully fade. They change you in ways you never asked for, ways you never wanted. And when you're in the middle of it, when the weight of it, when the weight of it, presses down on you. It feels impossible to move, impossible to breathe, like the light you once had inside you has been snuffed out, and all that's left is this endless shadow. But let me tell you something. You're still here, and that means something. It means the darkness didn't win. It means you've already survived what you thought you couldn't. It means that no matter how broken,
Starting point is 00:31:26 how hurt, how lost you feel, there is still something inside you. Something strong, something unyielding, something that refuses to give up. Trauma changes you, yes, but it doesn't have to define you. The truth is, life will break you. It will tear you apart in ways you can't predict, in ways you didn't prepare for. But the breaking? That's not the end. The breaking is where the rebuilding begins.
Starting point is 00:31:55 The breaking is where you find out what you're made of, what you're capable of, what you can endure and still rise from. It's easy to feel like your trauma, your tragedy, your pain, or the end of your story. Like you'll never be whole again. Like the person you were before is gone forever. And maybe they are. Maybe you'll never be the same. But who says that's a bad thing?
Starting point is 00:32:19 Who says the person you're becoming? The person who's learning to rise from the ashes, who's rebuilding themselves piece by piece, isn't stronger, wiser, more resilient? There's a Japanese art called Kinsugi. When a piece of pottery breaks, it's not thrown away. It's repaired, carefully, lovingly, with gold. The cracks aren't hidden. They're highlighted, transformed into something beautiful.
Starting point is 00:32:48 The piece becomes more valuable, not despite its brokenness, but because of it. That's you. Your scars, your pain, your history. They don't make you less. they make you more. But here's the thing. Healing isn't a straight line. It's not a neat process with clear steps and a perfect ending.
Starting point is 00:33:11 It's messy. It's full of setbacks. Of moments where it feels like you're moving backward. Of days when the darkness feels like it's swallowing you whole. And that's okay. Because healing isn't about never feeling the pain again. It's about learning how to carry. it, learning how to live alongside it without letting it consume you.
Starting point is 00:33:36 You don't have to erase the darkness to find the light. The two can coexist. And in time, you'll realize that the darkness doesn't make the light any less real. If anything, it makes it shine brighter. But here's the hard part. Healing takes work. It takes courage. It takes showing up for yourself.
Starting point is 00:33:59 even on the days when you don't want to even on the days when it feels pointless even on the days when you'd rather stay in the darkness because it's familiar because it's easier than facing the light healing means taking small deliberate steps toward yourself toward the person you're becoming
Starting point is 00:34:22 toward the life you still deserve to live and you do deserve it no matter what's happened to you, no matter what you've lost, no matter how broken you feel, you deserve joy, you deserve peace, you deserve to build a life that feels like your own, even if it doesn't look like the life you had before, especially if it doesn't. But let's be honest, the world isn't always kind to people who've been through trauma. It doesn't wait for you to catch up. It doesn't give you the time or space to heal.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And that's why you have to be kind to yourself. You have to give yourself the grace, the patience, the compassion that the world won't. You have to remind yourself that healing isn't a race. That there's no timeline, no deadline, no finish line you have to reach. Healing isn't about becoming the person you were before. It's about becoming the person you're meant to be now. A person who has walked through the fire and come out the other side. A person who has faced the darkness and refused to let it win.
Starting point is 00:35:44 A person who carries their scars not as reminders of what they've lost, but as proof of what they've survived. And here's the truth. The darkness doesn't go away overnight. There will be moments. maybe days, maybe weeks, maybe longer, when it still feels overwhelming, when the weight of it feels unbearable. But those moments don't mean you're failing. They don't mean you're broken.
Starting point is 00:36:16 They mean you're human. And being human means you get to feel the pain and the joy, the loss and the love, the darkness and the light. You are not your trauma. You are not your tragedy. You are the person who's learning to live again, despite them. You are the person who's choosing to move forward, one step at a time, even when it feels impossible. You are the person who refuses to let the worst moments of your life define the rest of your life. That is strength.
Starting point is 00:36:57 That is resilience. That is power. So if you're in the darkness right now, if you're carrying the weight of trauma of loss of pain, I want you to know this. You are not alone. You are not broken beyond repair. And this moment? This is not the end of your story.
Starting point is 00:37:16 This is the chapter where you begin again. This is the chapter where you start to rewrite your narrative. Not as a victim, but as a survivor. Not as someone who's defined by their pain, but as someone who's shaped. by it, strengthened by it, transformed by it. The darkness is real. Yes, but so is the light. And as long as you're still here, as long as you're still breathing, as long as you're still willing to take one step forward, there is hope, there is healing. There is a future waiting for you, a future that's not defined by what you've been through, but by what you choose to do next.
Starting point is 00:38:02 So rise, not all at once, not perfectly, but steadily, surely, powerfully. Rise, the light is waiting. 99% of people in the world are convinced that they're incapable of achieving great things, so they aim for the mediocre. The level of competition is thus fiercest for realistic goals, paradoxically making them the most time and energy consuming. If you are insecure, guess what? The rest of the world is too.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Do not overestimate the competition and underestimate yourself. You are better than you think. I've seen great dudes like you who have so much potential and you can create so much change and solve so many problems for the world literally sitting there suffering in silence because you fail to take action and you fail to execute on what you know you need to.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Remember this that averages the enemy As success is your responsibility, and change can take place in an instant if you are willing to flip the switch. You're not alone, man. You know, we're only alone when we find ourselves alone. We've got to remember to get out there. Nobody's going to come and just help us be on alone. We have to do it. Nothing changes if nothing changes, you know.
Starting point is 00:39:22 So if I want something to be different, I have to do something. Different. Someone is dying to be or rage. Someone is dreaming of living your worst day. Someone is wishing they had your apartment. Someone is hoping they had your health. Someone is working to get to where you are. Remember, yesterday you asked for what you have today.
Starting point is 00:39:51 The world belongs to optimists, because if you're going to do anything big, you have to believe that it can happen. Otherwise, it never will. Sean Puri says the cynics get to be right and the optimists get to be right and the optimists get to to be rich. 99% right and 100% wrong. They're right 99% of the time, but they're wrong 100% because the only thing that matters is the big one at the end. Your family and friends will say that every girl you ever date is not good enough, except for the one time you find the goal that you're actually going to marry, or that this business idea won't work, and you might have nine failures. My first nine businesses didn't really amount to anything. Nine, as in the first one, I spent time
Starting point is 00:40:31 it failed. Second one, this one will be different. Spent time on it, failed. And then the third one, this one, failed. And then six more after that. And it's painful as shit, because the whole time everyone is telling you, I told you so. And they're right. Today, but not forever. It's Christmas morning, and I know today for a lot of you is a big reminder of the people in your life. And I know for some, it's a reminder of who isn't. Wherever your mind goes, please recognize that today is a great opportunity to care for yourself. To give the gift of treating today like it matters is the best thing you could do for you. Because like any other day, it does do something hard to prove that even on a day like this, you can show up.
Starting point is 00:41:26 And I think that too many people do this. Why can't the world insert, be more convenient for me? Well, the world is uncaring and doesn't care about you at all. And underpinning that statement is the entitlement, is the expectation that it somehow should. And I think that is a poverty lens. And so the wealthy accept the world for what it is and then choose to maximize and adapt. Everyone else tries to stop their feet and throw tantrums and say how it's not fair. And they're right. And so what?
Starting point is 00:41:56 There's a Haitian proverse that I think is relevant right now, which is behind mountains are more mountains. goals aren't finished lines, they're mile markers. And I think that's a great mental frame, which is that you think that your goal is to get to $10,000 a month or $100,000 worth, $100,000 a month, or $10,000 a month, whatever your goal is. And I can promise you, having hit those, you just move it again.
Starting point is 00:42:22 You just, the mist lifts when you get there and you realize there's another mill on top. But where people lose their way is when they start listening to people at the bottom of the mountain, who see them at the subhead and say, you weren't happy last time when you got to the last peak. Why are you going to be happy the next time? But that's under their assumption in their poverty lens that you did it to get to the mountaintop. You did it for the climb and they'll never understand that and don't expect them to. A man matures through early mornings, late nights, pain, losses, disrespect, disappointments, deep reflection and moments of loneliness with just you.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Age has very little to do with it. As you can meet a man who's 23 and a boy who's 35. Because always remember, it's the days that break a man, which are the days that make a man. Always believe in you will achieve whatever it is that you want. Never quit halfway through something. Continue to move forward and finish it. Not quick because nothing comes easy. It's all about never quitting and never giving up.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Not winning all the time because winning isn't. Everything, sometimes when you get defeated, it makes you stronger and once you make you want to come back and work harder for it. And you respect yourself more for this. You need an alter ego. A version of you that's limitless. Make your weaknesses their strength. Make your insecurity, their confidence. Give them a name.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Give them traits. Create an amazing character. When you need them, let them take over. and eventually you won't need to pretend it will just be you faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not see faith don't make it easy faith makes it possible all you want is to drift to get through your life stop thinking worrying looking looking at over your shoulder, wondering, doubting, fearing, hurting, hoping for some easy way out, grinding away at yourself, stop it and just do! You are not responsible for the world. Only responsible
Starting point is 00:45:12 for your work, so just do it! You can have a life that you're going to find acceptable without that because you need the vision and the plans to give you purpose and direction. That's where all your positive emotion comes from. All your motivation is laying out plans that are worth attaining and then observing yourself moving towards them. That's the source of most positive meaning. And then also without that structure, you're so lost that you're going to be anxious and overwhelmed. The true heroes and the true titans and the true titans and the real. true masters, those people are not fearless. Those are people who have just practiced
Starting point is 00:46:03 walking into their fear and living on the razor's edge consistently to the point where they're comfortable amid their discomfort. That's the great opportunity for you, not to avoid fear, but to be comfortable in the unknown, to be comfortable when you're terrified. Their fears are larger than their faith. It's very important that you engage in an ongoing process to develop you. Spend more time on yourself than what you've been spending. It's very important. You owe that to yourself.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Don't know how to say no. And we find ourselves doing all kinds of things and never ever have time to do those things that we need to do to work on ourselves. And then there goes a second. That goes another second. That goes another second. And we can't stop and hold time. And before you know it, you wake up one day and you're behind in your dreams.
Starting point is 00:47:04 and your bills. It's saying on the days that I feel like I'm not going to make it, on the days that it feels like I can't endure anymore, I think back on my track record for surviving all my bad days. And so far, surviving all my bad days, my track record is 100%. So tie the most outrageous things you can. Shock yourself.
Starting point is 00:47:44 You have at your pretext. the ability to do anything. You can take your surroundings beyond order and move towards beauty, and that's unbelievably useful because while beauty calls people to their higher being, I would say, and to make friends with beauty is to introduce yourself, introduce yourself very carefully to one of the mysteries of life that make it worth living. I don't know why you do what you do. What is your motive for action?
Starting point is 00:48:26 What is it that drives you in your life today? Not 10 years ago, or are you running the same pattern? Because I believe that the invisible force of internal drive activated is the most important thing in the world. I'm here because I believe emotion is the force of life. Every great hero was broken. Out-suffered the majority. And what I'm suggesting to you is pain can be,
Starting point is 00:49:02 transformed into power with the intention to transform pain into power. You see, what most people do is this is why most good people lose. They stumble and they fall and they become heartbroken or disappointed by life's challenges that happens to every single one of it's. This is the central mantra of my life. It doesn't matter who you are today. It really doesn't. So if you feel like you're incapable of something, maybe you are today.
Starting point is 00:49:41 So it's not about who you are today. It's about who you want to become and the price you're willing to pay to get there. So you have to watch who's speaking into you. You've got to begin to monitor your mind. And you've got to begin to literally be proactive in programming yourself to success. Be not conform to this world. be it transformed by the renewing of your mind. You've got to take responsibility to make that happen.
Starting point is 00:50:12 And as you begin to do that, you'll begin to see some incredible changes in your life. When Earl Nightingale said, all of us are self-made, but only the successful will admit it. Dreams without goals are just dreams. And they ultimately fuel disappointment. So have dreams.
Starting point is 00:50:50 But have goals, life goals, yearly goals, monthly goals, daily goals. I try to give myself a goal every day. Have goals. And understand that to achieve these goals, you must apply discipline and consistency. Who do you know that you can compare yourself to you? That's easy. You. Yesterday.
Starting point is 00:51:23 So here's a good goal. It's something like, well, aim high, and I really mean that, aim high, but use as your control yourself. So your goal is to make today some tiny increment better than yesterday. Incremental improvement is unstoppable. I continue to fail. I love failure. The indominal will, if you have a belief, you can do something. The only way you grow that, like in the gym, you grow your muscles by actually exercise you know you know you grow the love of you and your wife by caring for them and having their back to grow the individual will to become something you must get comfortable with fear and failure they must be your best friends they're the only one that moves at needle of light why is that
Starting point is 00:52:18 because it's a report card back when your shortcomings on why they're not living their dream on why they're not manifesting their greatest. They will always be able to point those things out. But none of those things count. The only thing that counts or results. And results don't lie, ladies and gentlemen. They tell it all. Judge a tree by the fruit that it bears. Not the ones that it might talk about, not the ones that it might wish for, or think about, or firm about, or the fruit that it actually bears. Work on your focus. Work on your focus. perspective is everything. Let me tell you something. The problem with both of you is that you see
Starting point is 00:53:08 difficult as something negative. For real, for real. And I want you to see difficult differently. Listen to me, the more you go through, the more difficult it is, the more challenging it is. Listen to me, the harder it is. Are you hearing me? The more challenging it is. All you doing, baby, is building my soul. So let us look. I think that all of us are committed. But I think that some of us are producing results in our lives that that level of commitment brings that we particularly don't like or find it's tasteful. I don't think that as a participant in life, you cannot be committed. You either committed to mediocrity or you're committed to greatness.
Starting point is 00:53:55 The goal should be, how could I conceive of my life so that if I had that life, it would clearly be worth living so I wouldn't have to be bitter, resentful, deceitful, arrogant and venge. Hard work. Works. So don't quit. Don't give up. Don't stare at them. Listen to me. You don't get bumped by staring at weights. You don't get balked by, look, you don't get healthier by staring at it. You get healthier by running up to it and grabbing it and pushing it.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Look, push through that stuff. Push through it. You can get through these saddie. He won't put on you more than you can bear. You can't get through it. safety, comfort zones are dead zones because your true potential will never be matched, guys. Will never be matched. You have to continue to push yourself. I'm going to make a difference in the world, and you don't believe it.
Starting point is 00:55:00 But say it a million times, you're going to end up believing it. I'm meant to do something special in my life. There's no way in the world God put me on this planet to just be a regular guy. No way. The blood in here's boiling. I want to do something big with my life. This guy was put on this planet to make a difference. Say it over.
Starting point is 00:55:16 and over and over and over and over and over again, convince everybody in the world the entire time you're just trying to convince one person, and that is you. You must rate society's status quo. Status quo is normality. You either committed to being productive or you're committed to being non-productive.
Starting point is 00:55:38 You're committed to being happy or you're committed to being unhappy. See, whatever you're doing, however you spend your time, that tells you who you're, So think about what it is you like to create your life experience. Winning is in all of us. We all want to win.
Starting point is 00:55:58 But the path people take to get to winning, everybody wants the end result and they want to feel the sugar and the confetti and all that other stuff. But what you have to endure to win, no one wants to talk about. And that's what really winning is about because you spend more time enduring it and being in a place and not in a good place. And I wanted to bring it out and say, hey, no matter what you do in life, where you're at, this is what winning takes.
Starting point is 00:56:34 And it's in all of us. And anything you want good, you can have. So claim it. Work hard to get it. When you get it, reach back. Pull someone else up. You decided there's something you wanted so bad that you unleashed all your desire. You became obsessed with it.
Starting point is 00:57:01 If it was a business or a relationship or a transformation in your body, if there's something you once envisioned and now it's real, it's because you didn't just envision it, you brought so much emotion to it that now it's in your life. It was once a dream, it was once a goal, and now it's in your life. It's a lie, but not living. It's death on a stick, guys. The belief of the individual can overcome thousands of followers.
Starting point is 00:57:30 One person with the belief overrides thousands of people with just intent. To do all we can right now where we are. Forget about the mistakes yesterday. Forget about all your failures yesterday. Forget about what you all have. That's not important. Only thing that we have is right now.
