Starting point is 00:01:02 No. You see the news about those people? Nah. You go into that event? Nope. You're going to that party? No. Why?
Starting point is 00:01:13 What's wrong? Absolutely nothing. I'm focusing on me. I'm trying to become great. I'm not where I want to be, and I ain't stop until I get there. If you want to go to the next level, you're going to have to require more of yourself than ever before. You're going to have to challenge yourself. You're going to have to stretch in new ways.
Starting point is 00:01:34 You're the only person who's ever going to challenge yourself to do something different and something new and something that's harder. And yet at the same time, that energy, those nerves, that anxiousness, that stress, that struggle, that challenge. Some people, when they feel that, they shut down. And other people realize that that is the energy that is giving them the fuel to be present, to get engaged, to pay attention, to be focused. to drive, and that energy. If you haven't felt that for a while, it's because many people are just playing safe, and they're playing so safe that life got boring,
Starting point is 00:02:11 that their business declined, that their career isn't going up. And so often, we'll blame society, we'll blame social media, we'll blame everything that we can to avoid the reality that we're not locked in and showing up. You're casual, and until you decide you're going to win,
Starting point is 00:02:27 nothing's going to change. If I want something, I will go after it, no matter what it costs me. You have to disconnect from your emotions. You have to disconnect from your feelings. And you have to disconnect from the world. You've got to learn to block things out and concentrate. Now I'm serious. I'm not going anywhere.
Starting point is 00:02:45 I'm going to make this happen. This is where I do it or I don't do it. This is my place. You've got to decide you want to win. If you really want to get ahead, it's going to take another little commitment. If you want to earn 10 times more, you don't have to go to 10 times more commitment. in that area. You have to decide what is it specifically that I'm willing to give up and move out of the way now to focus on this thing to make it a success, to truly work harder in this area
Starting point is 00:03:10 and smarter in this area, getting rid of distractions. Stop believing we can all multitask, do 50, 70 different things. It's not true. The most successful people in the world, they have a very defined area of specialty. They focus and they said, this is my thing. Olympians tend to be Olympic athletes in one area. Why? Because it takes that much commitment in one area to become great. I want you to stop crying. I want you to stop complaining. If ain't nobody else giving more, you give more. You give more efforts. You give more time. You give more dedication. Many of me are only tapping to 60% of your greatness and you're looking at a world that's giving you back 60% and you are upset. You should be pissed at yourself because if you're only giving 70%, then you only be, you only
Starting point is 00:03:58 getting 70% if you're only giving 80% you're only getting 80% you're weak what you saw all of us are created equal some of us just grind some of us don't make excuses some of us don't surrender some of us don't give up and give in what we do with the pressure is we say i got to take it i got to another level i woke up one day and stop making excuses i woke up one day and stopped playing the blame game I woke up one day and looked at the man and the mirror was like, yo, bro, what are you doing? Wake up. It's showtime.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Let's go. You must always make sure that you switch gears from learning to deciding quickly. A lot of people, they have clarity on too much. They're overwhelmed with all the things they could do. A lot of overwhelm comes from overconsumption and too little decision. The difference between people who talk about it and people who do it. It's one simple word, application. They hear it. They digest it. And when they digest it, boom, they do something with it. We got to move. We got to decide. Clarity is strengthened with real decisions.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Clarity when it's locked in as a decision, as a pattern, as a discipline, as a commitment, that feels good. The word decide comes from Latin. It's just like incision. It means to cut off from. When you decide you're going to do something, you cut off any other possibility. You put yourself to say that if you want to take the island if you burn your boat because if there's no going back you're going to move forward. What's the decision? What have you been hesitating on? Say sit right now.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Get up. Go to class. Get up. Do your homework. Work on your gift. It was given to you, but you've got to hone it. And the universe is not responding you correctly because your body language sucks. Your spirit sucks. It's defeated. And people feel weakness. They feel it. You can feel when somebody's not committed, when they're not
Starting point is 00:05:49 all in, when they're not dedicated. And you start giving me that 120 and everything you do. Bring all the energy, all the passion, bring it all together and dominate. We got to get up and get after it. We got to be the best. We got to make whatever sacrifices. We got to do whatever it takes. We can't focus on gossiping.
Starting point is 00:06:06 We can't focus on problems. We got to focus on solutions. You got to grind and you ain't going to see nothing when you first start grinding. Ain't nothing coming in. Or you might look up and see a little success and then it's going to stop. And you're like, what happened? Nothing. Keep grinding.
Starting point is 00:06:20 And Mitchell Chuck, says, not only do I climb that dog on my own, I enjoy climbing the mountain. I just like the reps. I just like to see if I still got it. I just want to see if I can still come into a room and I can still light you up. I get a kick out of fatigue. I get a kick out of the grind. I get a kick out of it.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I'm playing right now. Why am I doing it? This is all I got. When I put forth for 120% effort, can't nobody stop me. I need you to wake up and cry like it's your only moment. to practice like it's your only moment. I need you to study like it's your only moment. I need you to play like you ain't got nothing else. I'll do whatever it takes. I need to focus on a way that I've never focused before. That you can do. That you can do all the energy that's going to be required.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Today you can put that energy in. Today you can light that fire. Today you can get started. And I guarantee if you put the right energy, the right effort, the right focus, it's only a matter of time. You're going to work one year, two year, three year, four year, five year, and the only thing you're going to focus on is grinding. It is not the movement of the clock that produces the newness of life. It is the movement in your mind. You got to get tired of losing. You have got to get to a point where you say, I'm sick and tired of living like this. I have had it.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I had it borrowing money from people. I'd had it living like a cringing animal when you don't have to. have any money, it runs your blood pressure. I'm tired of doing what I used to do. If I always do what I've always done, I'll always be where I've always been. I'm not going to live like this anymore.
Starting point is 00:08:07 No, there's got to be more for me. I got tired of losing. I got tired of coming up short. I got tired. I see other people winning, and I'm not winning, and I want to be a winner, and I'm tired. And I got tired, y'all, so I did something about it. I woke up every day and started grinding.
Starting point is 00:08:25 was tired. That's when people go out and strike out on their dreams. Let me tell you something. You deserve it. There is more to your life than you have been living. You deserve it. No more dreaming. Dreaming is over. I need specifics. What are you doing on Monday? What are you doing on Tuesday? What are you doing on Wednesday? You need to be very specific. It's time to put your pieces together of your puzzle. Ain't nobody stopping you but you. You're not average. Stop acting like you. You're not average. Why are you being at you? average, you're not average. Why are you being good when you're not good? You great. You're phenomenal. When you're going to step up to the way? This is not a year that you're going to be doing a lot of talking.
Starting point is 00:09:06 We're not dreaming no more. We're not wishing no more. We're not watching other people ride to ride no more. This is the year for grinding. You want it. And you're going to go all out to have it. I'm going to do something about this situation. How are you going to make it? I don't know, but I will. The only thing you do for success is no discount. It's sweat, it's blood, it's tears. You can't get 50% all. It sweat, it's blood, it's tears. There are no shortcuts to success.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Stop thinking they are. And stop wanting people to put you somewhere that you didn't earn. How dare you try to shortcut success. It's not going to happen. You can't go around it. You can't go under it. You can't go over it. The only way you can get to it is through it.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than any else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Don't fool yourself into thinking that this year is going to be better than last year if you still making excuses. There are no excuses. You cannot cheat success. You got to work for it. You got to breathe it. You got to sleep it. You got to eat it. You got to put forth 120%. When you go out there, I need you to have that dog. When you get out there, I need you kill to be killed when you get out there. When you get out there, whatever you can get, go get it. Because they're going to get it before you get it. And they ain't going to give it to you. So you want to get with yours.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Because there's somebody out there who won't your spot. You're not the only one trying to go to Yale. You're not the only one trying to go to Harvard. You're not the only one trying to go to the NBA. You're not the only one trying to go to the NFL. So you got to embody excellence. It only take one extra push-up. It only take one extra mile.
Starting point is 00:10:41 It only take one extra grade. It only takes one extra effort. It only takes one extra something to get you to where you're trying to get to. A new outfit doesn't make you a new person. And if you think you are magically going to be a new person, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Because new life comes from a new mind and a new way of looking at your life. Keep your dreams phenomenal. Keep your vision phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:11:09 And now I need you to get your weight up. I need you to get your schedule up. I need you to get your life up. I need to get your action up. I need you to get to a place that every single thing that you do is phenomenal so that the life. You want to live, you can actually live that life. Many of you will not be successful because you've got this giant goal and no steps to go with it. You're just in your mind like, this is my year.
Starting point is 00:11:35 How many steps? I don't know. What is it going to take for you to do it? I don't know. I just know this is my year. Can I be real with you? If you can't measure, it ain't real. I had to give something up to go up.
Starting point is 00:11:47 What do you give up? Do you not watch TV? That's your problem. You get to watch TV? and not make money and still survives. What do you sacrifice? The reason why you grow is because you get no reward and you ain't working.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Having esteem for yourself only occurs when you put yourself on the line and you do something's incredibly difficult on a regular basis. That's where pride comes from, something that's earned. So there are people who want stuff, but you kind of want it.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I get sick and tired of people telling me how bad they want it, yet their actions don't back up that statement. Obsession is wanting something So bad that I go to bed when I wake up to it. I make whatever sacrifice. I grind. I can't live without it.
Starting point is 00:12:30 If you're going to get anything, you will have to pay the price. There is a price time to greatness. You will have to work for every single thing you get. And you got to work every single day. You got to wake up every day and work. Everybody wants to wait and put off the things they truly want in their lives for tomorrow. The mystical place where 99% of dreams go to die. The only time you have is right now.
Starting point is 00:12:54 And if you're not obsessed every single second of every single day with achieving your goals, you're never going to fucking achieve them. It takes dedication. It takes time. It takes obsessive, compulsive, ridiculous amounts of effort. You better dedicate every second of every day, of every week, of every month, of every fucking year if you ever want to get these kind of goals. Don't be somebody who talks shit. Be somebody who does shit.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I don't need a bear to chase me to get up in a little. I don't sleep in. If I slept in, it's because I worked so hard the day before that I was tired. What do you need to motivate you? Are you not enough? It's your potential not enough. It's your greatness not enough. You're putting in work.
Starting point is 00:13:36 And just because you can't see the results, you want to quit or give up. I ain't never quit. I ain't never give up. I ain't never give in. I just kept grinding. If you keep going, you're going to break through. The only people that don't break through is the people who score. Watch it. Wake up every single day. And if the opportunity to work out is there, work out.
Starting point is 00:13:53 If the opportunity is there to read, read. But whatever you do, wake up every single day and know that you should work as if everything depends on you and do whatever it takes. Let's go. Stop playing with it. Stop telling me I don't got time. Make it work. Fix it. Let's go. If you got to go all in. If you want things to get better, you got to get better. If you want things to change, you got to change. But you got to do it deliberately and consciously. You've got to constantly find a way to feed that mind, something that's got strategy in it. Knowledge is not power.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Execution trumps knowledge every day of the week. Turn your shoulds into musts. Because everybody's got a list of shoulds, don't they? I should lose weight. I should go on a diet. I should make more phone calls. I should, I should, I should, I should, I should. You want to create a result.
Starting point is 00:14:36 And those results come when you raise your standard. You've got to turn the shoulds into musts. Discomfort is your friend. Because discomfort may move you to actually go for the life you deserve. You have a chance to control your destiny. Go on, let's go. Take ownership. What am I going to do about it?
Starting point is 00:14:54 You take advantage of this opportunity. You let everything else go. You eat different. You study different. You practice different. I don't know how much longer I got. So I got to do it while I can. I might not be able to do this at 65, 75s.
Starting point is 00:15:05 And I can do it now. You will never regret making a sacrifice ever.
