Starting point is 00:00:00 No spin, no bias, no censorship. I'm Dan Wooden. This is outspoken episode number 599. And breaking today, France is in flames again, as the broken country allows a shocking continuation of the invasion of the disunited kingdom, as British patriots increasingly take the law into their own hands, as more boats of rapists, terrorists, murderers and cultural pillages were launched into the channel earlier. Fifth day in a row, we're in October, and this is the fifth day in a row. where hundreds are crossing. You can hear the baby crying. Who puts a baby on a boat this time and I? Look, can you hear the baby?
Starting point is 00:00:42 Look at these children. Who brings children like this? Why are you doing this to your children? Why are you doing this to your children? Look, the place that's give up already. That's exactly the complicity that they've got in this country. Shabana Mahmood, I'd start asking for your money back because look at these boys.
Starting point is 00:01:03 They can't even do their... Job properly. Meanwhile, Tommy Robinson has just revealed the Patriot platform has doubled in numbers since the deep state jailed Danny Tomo. He says Patriots mobilising and the sleeping lion is awake. But the British right remains divided with the Daily Telegraphs Uber wet Tim Stanley actually embracing the demographic takeover of the UK while branding restore Britain Nazis yet again. I think one thing that's happened in the last couple of years, is we've seen where people really stand and what they really stand for. And I don't want to be in any coalition that includes Restore.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Right? Because I think we've got a battle against the far right that needs to be won in this country. And the Conservative Party has a unique opportunity to not redefine, but reclaim the centre right from the lunatics. So is Robert Jenrick the man to somehow bring the British right together? Reform UK Shadow Chancellor returns to outspoken for the first time since defected. from the Conservative Party as he takes to the streets himself. I think you just nicked that, didn't you? Well, we just watched you take it.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Do you want to give it back? Yeah, I give it back. Do you want to give it back? Why do you think you're above the law? Because you always give us drinks. Why do you think you can take things and everyone else is paying for them? You've taken like 10 of those bottles.
Starting point is 00:02:23 What do you mean? So what? Hang on a minute. Do you want to go and take them back? No, how many, God? What? What? What?
Starting point is 00:02:32 What? swear it me as much as you like, but you're still nicking a load of stuff. Or is Restore Britain leader Rupert Lerite that Jenrick should be jailed? It is this. Those civil servants, officials and yes, politicians who have knowingly facilitated the invasion of our country and deliberately placed unvetted, dangerous men in communities all over Britain, we will aim to prosecute them. Well, I'll ask him, because Robert Jenrick is with us for the entire show.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Also coming up today, the MSM cover-up over Anne Whitakam's death grows as James O'Brien is exposed for putting Nigel Farage in danger on LBC, and a list of 100 other right-wing VIPs is exposed, and the BBC's poisonous obituary to Britain's greatest novelist of modern times. Geoffrey Archer proves, in my opinion, once again, that the corporation is desperately out of touch, with the public with Kemi Badenock and Queen Camilla, leading the growing list of mourners. We'll have the latest on the Andrew Mountbatten Windsor story over on the Royal Uncanceled After Show with our superstar panel, Hillary Fordwich and Lee Cohen. Plus, Robert and I have nominated for today's Union Jackass. He has gone for Andy Burnham for wanting to cut your pension but not foreign aid, migrant welfare or net zero subsidies to protect it. And Tan Ekram for making a mockery.
Starting point is 00:04:00 of judicial independence after his mission to recruit Pakistani lawyers as judges was exposed. I've gone for Clive Myrie. That is because, do you know, within minutes of Geoffrey Archer's death last night, the BBC presenter decided to describe him as disgraced, something I assume they wouldn't do if Angela Rainer or Louise Haig were to die tonight. That was a point Nadine Dorries of Reform UK made earlier, and I completely agreed with her. Do keep your superchats coming in to Robert Jennerick with us for the entire show.
Starting point is 00:04:30 But now, let's go. So Patriots are fighting back against the sickening invasion of the disunited kingdom, flooding our country with rapists, murderous and terrorists to implement an Islamist takeover, which continued at pace today from a France in flames. You've got an update on the small boats, haven't you, Mark? Yeah, another busy day in the channel. This is the fifth day in a row. We're in October, and this is the fifth day in a row where hundreds are crossing.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Now our current producer telling us five dinghies in the water. Some have already made it. One border force vessel went into Dover about half an hour ago with 68 migrants on board. So four more still to reach and most of them are actually making a real headway. Thank God for the likes of the nowhere photographer showing us what the MSM simply will not. He has revealed that he lost count of the number of boats he has seen. He thinks it is six. One more down the coast.
Starting point is 00:05:37 He says, I've never seen so many illegal migrant boats in one day. Watch what went down. You can hear the baby crying? Who puts a baby on a boat this time? And I, look, can you hear the baby? There's a smuggler at the back there. Yeah, yeah, camera, mate. Yeah, well done.
Starting point is 00:06:16 A plus there. There we go. There's the smugglers at the back. He's hanging on, look. Look at these churble. Who brings children like this? Why are you doing this to your children? Why are you doing this to your children?
Starting point is 00:06:34 I know that you are. Yeah, what am I? What am I? What am I? I'm not the parent bringing their child into water. People die here. People die here. And you're bringing your children into water. Do not.
Starting point is 00:06:50 You should be arrested. And as Gouchi reports revealed 1600 illegal invaders have landed since Friday. The UK Home Office have not tweeted for three days. I wonder why. And this is why the Patriots now taking matters into their own hands, in some cases taking the law into their own hands with the brilliant activist Dick Lee from the beaches of France arguing if the police won't stop the invaders, they should let us stop them instead. Shibana MacMood should be getting a refund off the French and look at what he discovered.
Starting point is 00:07:24 So we're trying to stop the migrants. The police, they're actually stopping us. But they just watch this clip. They were just letting run right past them. It was just watching the other migrants go out of the boat. These were just coming down the beach. Ready for another boat. They're all ready.
Starting point is 00:07:45 The police are stood there. Look, they're just going to allow it. Do your jobs, boys. Do your jobs, boys. That's what they're doing. Look. they can't be asked running. Give me the spray, I'll fucking do the job.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Look, the police have given up already. That's exactly the complicity that they've got in this country. Shabana Mahmood, I'd start asking for your money back because look at these boys, they can't even do their job properly. Shabana Mahmood, ask for your money back. Look at that, they just let them run straight past. They'll stop us from, they're stopping us from stopping these migrants, but they're not, because they're not doing it themselves.
Starting point is 00:08:36 They can't be asked. Look at them, they're all fat and lazy. This is one migrant there, the mainstream right there, taking the pictures to show people back home that they are stopping them. When in reality, look at the size of that dinghy. But McMood, who I believe is practicing Tikia, is on another planet. According to her, it's the invaders being raped, not the invaders raping our women and children. We're not in control of this border. And the sifting of the people that end up in the north of France and we're about to get on a dinghy is done by criminal gangs,
Starting point is 00:09:09 who are also, by the way, people traffickers, you know, you can almost guarantee that every woman that's in the north of France has probably been raped along the journey, some of the men too, they've certainly been abused, threatened. Like, that is not the model that should decide whether somebody gets to come to the UK, make this their place of sanctuary, and ultimately become one of us.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Yet guess what Mahmoud has not uttered a word on? Not a word on a story that continues to bring me to complete distraction and upset, and I know so many of you feel the same. Wayne Broadhurst, the innocent dog walker, and these pictures got me, actually. They were new, they released in court. They showed him just innocently out with his pup before he was stabbed to death, this beloved, honest, hardworking Englishman. And of course, yesterday we learned that we will be paying for his murderer,
Starting point is 00:10:08 Darwood Safi to be locked up in a mental hospital for life. As the Times reported, he arrived in a lorry in November 2020. He lied about his age. He was granted asylum two years later. Then he committed that knife attack, that triple knife attack last year, which killed Wayne. And I did just want to give a little bit of time today to Wayne. I think it's really important and what his partner, Anne Newman said. But first to the judge, who before sentencing, described Wayne as a hardworking and decent man who was deeply loved. And she said of Anne Newman, his partner, the future she rightly anticipated has been ripped from her. Mr. Broadhurst's absence is felt every day. Behind this case is a family that is left to live constantly with the consequences of your behaviour. And Wayne's brave partner was there. She was there. She had her victim impact statement read by her sister. And I wanted to share some of it with you. It's very important. No words can fully explain the pain my family has endured since he was taken from us. Since Wayne was taken from us, my family and I have experienced overwhelming grief. We've struggled with the sadness and grief. Birthdays, holidays and family gatherings are no longer celebrations. They are painful reminders of the person who should still be with us. I face an uncertain future. I've lost the guidance, love and companionship which Wayne provided. The ripple effects of this crime continue every day.
Starting point is 00:11:42 But the establishment class are growing weaker as the working class rises up, realizing that it may come down to them to save the country if our leaders are unwilling to. And Tommy Robinson revealed some huge news today. The Patriot platform has doubled in size since the state locked away Danny Tomo. He says when you tear out a man's tongue, you're not proving him, a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say. Last night, Tommy added the north arrived. Tonight you will see the Midlands. Patriots are mobilising double in numbers since they jailed Danny Tomo. The sleeping lion is awake. Yet anyone who addresses concerns about how fast
Starting point is 00:12:23 the country is changing is now labelled far right by our MSM. This is kicked off today. The Daily telegraphs Uber wet, Uber wet Tim Stanley at the Tory Party conference, embracing the fast-changing demographic makeup of the UK, and suggesting that anyone who disagrees with him is racist. Because I think we've got a battle against the far right that needs to be won in this country, and the Conservative Party has a unique opportunity to not redefine, but reclaim the centre right from the lunatics. And there's a very positive story to be told when we're having so many conversations about ethnicity, what is English, what isn't English, about being led by a British Nigerian leader who understands what's flawed about this country but also loves it, what's
Starting point is 00:13:10 flawed about where she came from, but also what she loves about it. And as the country changes, which it is, and people can bemoan that, but it's happened and it ain't going back, I think she's a generational, transitional figure that cuts through culturally. And I don't think we should shy away from both the excitement and the pride I personally feel. people laugh at this, I don't give a damn, but they laugh. I feel proud about the fact that the country is being led by a generation of people who, of a change in ethnicity. I'm very happy to see that being reflected. It doesn't bother me at all and I'm happy about it.
Starting point is 00:13:46 So I'm keen for her to do that. Tim Stanley then ruled out a pact with Restore Britain because they are Nazis. Do you want a pact with reform? Well, there you go, because that's what reuniting the right looks like. Can I just say, Tories, reunite the right isn't just conservatives? No, no, no, this is the thing. I mean, I think one thing that's happened in the last couple of years is we've seen where people really stand and what they really stand for.
Starting point is 00:14:14 And I don't want to be in any coalition that includes restore. Right? So I think we're moving. Okay, two years ago that was a valid question because there were things that could be done, negotiations that could happen, and maybe something. people needed to swallow their pride and say to Nigel Farage, you should be in this party, maybe even leading it. But those choices were not made. And we've reached a point now where some people have gone so far down the well of insanity that they've just plopped out the other
Starting point is 00:14:43 side as a national socialist. And I don't want to be in a room with them. A national socialist. He means a Nazi. That is what he is saying. So presumably he thinks the Patriots who were trying to stop the migrant invasion in Gosport, a Nazis too. And of course, he means, he means. course we have seen the mainstream media turn on these guys rather than actually focusing on the crimes of the invaders. Twelve people have been arrested after protesters gathered at a marina in Gosport following reports of a small boat crossing yesterday. This was the scene in Gosport last night, a standoff involving a mixture of flares and minor scuffles amid peaceful chanting. Police made 11 arrests most for public order offences. Officers from as far as
Starting point is 00:15:28 Kent and Devon and Cornwall are brought in to stop around 150 anti-migrant demonstrators from getting inside a former naval base. They just don't get it, which is why I think it's independent media voices like Lee Harris, who are right when they see, Gosford and predict,
Starting point is 00:15:43 this is going to lead to civil war. And indeed, civil war fast becoming the new normal amid the ongoing societal collapse across Europe. France in flames today, dealing with this student protest, but it's a lift. Islamist campaign. So France is all of us, but so too, is the UK.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Indeed, it's our guest today, Reform UK Shadow Chancellor Robert Jenrick, who has had the courage to confront the scum, who are accelerating the downfall of Great Britain by going head to head. Did you see this? With brazen shoplifters. I think you just nicked that, didn't you? Well, we just watched you take it. Do you want to give it back?
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah, I'll give it back. Do you want to give it back? Why do you think you're above the law? Because they always give us drinks. Why do you think you can take things and everyone else is paying for them? Why do you think you don't have to pay for things? You think you can just walk into shops and nick things? Well, look...
Starting point is 00:17:25 Oh, they ask you. When they say yes. Oh, they're happy with it, are they? Right. Yeah. Everyone loves them is shoplifting, don't they now? Yeah. Well, the effect of what you're doing is that everyone else's food and drink just goes up in price. And do you think other people can afford that around here?
Starting point is 00:17:42 Everyone's finding life tough at the moment. You're nicking stuff. It sounds like all the time. No. and this makes everyone else's lives more expensive? Well, I'll take this back to the shop then, shall I? Please. You've taken like 10 of those bottles?
Starting point is 00:17:54 What's not what? What do you mean to soak what? Hang on a minute. Do you want to go and take them back? What? What? Because you got to do that. Well, you can swear at me as much as you like,
Starting point is 00:18:04 but you're still nicking a load of stuff. Yeah. Please, get off the bus. I think you should take those back to the shop. Honestly, people are like you should be in jail and you would be under a reform government? And Robert Jenrick joins us now. Robert, great to have you.
Starting point is 00:18:24 It is incredible, isn't it? When you see the way that those scumbags are quite literally allowed to operate in a lawless manner, shoplifting has essentially become legalized, or at least decriminalized, I should say, under this government. Yet the Patriots of Gospel, you just know. You just know they are going to be locked up because it feels like the state is constantly attempting to dampen down this growing fury from the working classes. What was your impression at these scenes, these incredible scenes over the weekend?
Starting point is 00:19:02 Yeah, well, firstly, Dan, it's a pleasure to be on your show. And I'm sorry, it's been so long. Great. Tell you back the first time as a Reform UK rep. That's right. And congratulations that your show has gone from strength to strength. It's since I was last on it. But, yeah, you touch on two things.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Firstly, the fact that there is just brazen shoplifting going on at the moment in this country. And there are some people who say, why does this matter? You know, you're running after people who are nicking a sandwich or a bottle of Coke. But it's a bigger problem that these small things are being allowed to go untested, unchallenged, and these frankly feral people are just getting away with it and trashing parts of our country. and the high trust society that I cherish, that I grew up in, feels like it is now slipping away, that is being destroyed by a lack of policing, weak people who are failing to confront, and frankly, some communities in our country which are just like the third world right now.
Starting point is 00:20:07 And that's certainly how it felt in that market in Brixton, where I filmed that video. And then secondly, you show those scenes. from Gosport and the way in which the state clamps down on people who just want to display their anger and frustration about what's happening right now. And of course, none of us, you know, sanction people breaking the law or threatening people. But the state is so quick to bring the full force of the law down on these people, vast amounts of police to resorts. You know, remember those astonishing scenes of the convoy of vehicles being used to escort a bus or two of illegal migrants through the streets as if it was, you know, President Trump being in town. It was absolutely astonishing. And that is why we all feel that there is growing two-tier policing in this country.
Starting point is 00:21:10 total impunity for scumbags and criminals, nicking things, mobile phone theft, all of those things that afflict us in our daily lives. And yet the police coming down like a ton of bricks on anyone who's got the audacity to take to the streets and complain against illegal migration. Indeed, we've just got a super chat in from Chris 281 who says, respect where respect is due.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Well done for coming on here, Robert. And I do think maybe one of the reasons why some reformers stay away from outspoken is because there are these fault line issues on the right. And I do need to ask you about a couple of them. The first, obviously, the Patriot Platform, which has become this growing force amongst the working classes. Danny Tomo, its leader in prison, but Tommy Robinson has taken on this fight and said that the numbers have doubled. Now, when the Patriot Platform first emerged, Robert, it was during your conference and during an interview. interview with G.B. News, Nigel Farage, your leader, described these people as disgusting because
Starting point is 00:22:14 they were wearing balaclavs. And a lot of people thought it harkened back to when Richard Ties had dismissed the United Kingdom activists as being that lot. I just wonder, has your view changed at all on the Patriot platform? How do you feel about this? Because what I've certainly seen within Reform UK is quite a lot of people, including Nigel, actually, speaking out against the jailing of Danny Thomas. So I just wonder if maybe once you've learned more about this organisation, if that initial reaction from the party was actually the wrong one. Look, I think everyone in reform, and suddenly speak for myself,
Starting point is 00:22:56 understands the deep anger and frustration that lies behind these protests and respects the people and their right to get out on the streets and make their voices heard. should they have to cower away? Why shouldn't they be in Gosport or Dover or anywhere else, frankly, making their views known? Because this is a scandal what's happening in the country right now. And the consequences of these illegal migrants breaking into our country time and again is immense. You know, it's the billions that are being wasted. It's the hotels, the HMOs. It's the threat to our women and girls. You know, people will be murdered and raped by some of these individuals who are
Starting point is 00:23:37 entering this country and whole communities will be destroyed by them. I was up in Teesside yesterday and the impact that has happened in some of those communities for people being dumped into them is absolutely phenomenal. So I certainly understand why people would take to the streets, you know, and I would do it myself. In fact, I joined the protest outside the Epping Hotel last summer. Just not in a bala clava. Well, yeah, look, I do think that... But then you're not going to lose your job. I think that's the point.
Starting point is 00:24:11 I understand that. I understand that. I don't particularly like people wearing balaclavas, and I supported and pushed reform to adopt the policy that we would ban face coverings of all kinds, by which we don't just mean balaclabas, we mean burqas. You know, I think that is not British and it is threatening. And so I understand, you know,
Starting point is 00:24:34 I strongly support the removal of face coverings. But look, the point that you've made and Danny Tomo and others is that we live in a society today where joining these sorts of protests can have massive consequences to people. You know, you can lose your job. You can be cancelled. Yeah. Well, I mean, you were the shadow. I understand the motivation why some people might wear a face covering.
Starting point is 00:24:58 But I think it would be better if we took to the streets. But I mean, you were the shadow justice secretary, right? And you understand that we live in a world where Hugh Edwards doesn't spend one day in jail, where the Fairford five suspects, although I think it's now the Fairford seven, because we always knew that there were more of these men, the witnesses, the eyewitnesses actually said it at the time, who Donald Trump describes as terrorists, are released on bail. But Danny Tomo is locked up, probably for Christmas,
Starting point is 00:25:31 because what? He burst a boat being used by human traffickers to smuggle illegals into the country. I mean, it's astonishing. And I think that's why there is this growing sense of public outrage. Yeah, look, I completely understand that. And you may have seen that I took to Twitter immediately after watching Andy Burnham on the Laura Kunesberg show,
Starting point is 00:25:59 condemning Danny Tomoe as a race. without providing any evidence for that, prejudicing his trial or certainly risking it, if you've got the prime minister labelling somebody as a racist and highly divisive, that can cause a lot of damage to somebody's ability to have a fair trial. That was completely wrong. You know, you can't have public figures going around just attacking somebody like Danny Tommer without providing any evidence whatsoever. it is two-tier Britain.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I'm afraid it really is that someone like that faces the full force of the law whilst many, many others get away with it, scoffrey. If only the British state would devote the kind of time and energy it does to clamping down on people like him and
Starting point is 00:26:47 his fellow protesters to actually stopping the boats in the first place that maybe wouldn't be in this situation. Okay, the other big one, Robert, is Suella Braberman-English? Look, I find this debate very strange because it doesn't seem nearly as complicated to me as some of these mostly left-wing commentators
Starting point is 00:27:09 like to make it out to be. Lift-wing commentators like Tim Stanley? Well, yeah, he was a Labour candidate, I think, so I don't know why he now pretends to be on the right of any kind. And I thought, listening to him talk at Toy Party Conference just made me feel very happy that I didn't have to go to Toy Party Conference anymore. But to me, there's three things. One is ethnicity. You know, there is such a thing as English ethnicity. It's not perfect to define it because like any country, barring the most
Starting point is 00:27:41 closed societies in the world, of which there are not very many, it's been a bit fluid over the last thousand years, but not as much as some people like to say, because barring some Irish immigration at the end of the 19th century, the British populations remained fairly stable, really, from 1066 until about 1960. In fact, in 1900, I think only 7% of the population of this country was foreign-born. So it's nonsense that people who say like Jacob Rees-Mogg that we're a Mongolian.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Well, yes, if you go back over a thousand years, but that's a pretty high bar. The second point is English cultural identity. and that to me means is somebody fully embracing of our history, our heritage, our language, our culture, our norms, our manners. And then the third thing is nationality, holding a passport. And the most important point is that that holding a passport does not mean that you are culturally English or British. And sadly, there are many, many people in this country who display that. And neither does it mean you're ethnically English, I think.
Starting point is 00:28:51 So the three things are different. And Suella's point is that she's not ethnically English, but she's certainly culturally English or British. And she certainly has a passport. What I want to to make clear is that as a result of disastrous policies over the course of the last, but it's more than just the last 25 years, it's really going back to the 1960s. We've ended up in a country where there are millions and millions of people who have a British passport, in their bedroom drawer, but who are not culturally British, by my standards, are not culturally English either, and are not ethnically English as well. And that is a world away from this country as it was 50 years ago, certainly 100 years ago. And this debate is a perfectly normal one for
Starting point is 00:29:43 us to be having. Robert Donald Trump has just weighed in on the shocking scenes that we are seen in France today, I want to show you what he has just posted on truth social. He said, what's happening in France is nothing less than out-of-control mass migration. This isn't about schools. This is about Islam wanting to take over a once great country. Do you agree? Yes, I do. Look, mass migration, the disastrous pursuit of multiculturalism and a willingness to tolerate radical Islam is destroying Europe. Some parts of Europe may now be too far gone to be recoverable, but this is a warning to our own country. We're heading down exactly the same path. We've got to stop making it worse as the first thing. And that is by bringing to an end mass migration, ensuring that we have
Starting point is 00:30:40 what I want to see, which is net immigration, more people leaving every year than coming in. and then a very radical policy of removing every single illegal immigrant from this country and clamping down on all those practices that are clearly against British values and norms, wearing the burqa, Sharia courts, hate preachers, end every one of these as quickly as possible. Then maybe we've got a fighting chance of saving our country from going down the same path as France has clearly gone down. Has Nigel Farage toughened up on the issue of Islam? Because I remember about 18 months ago he was telling Stephen Edgington, we need the Muslim vote.
Starting point is 00:31:21 That is going to be absolutely essential for reform to take power. And I'm now looking at what he has posted just a few hours ago on Facebook. And this seems like a real change in tone, Robert. He says Islamism is a scourge on many parts of Britain. Do you think Reform UK does need the Muslim vote to win? And are you toughening up on this whole issue? Well, I've obviously not known Nigel as long as some people have, but for as long as I've been talking to him,
Starting point is 00:31:58 which is really from the last part of last year, he has always shared my view that radical Islam is a threat to everything that we hold dear in this country, that it has to be fought and destroyed, it has to be eradicated from our country, and that we can't allow the creeping Islamification of the United Kingdom. He's always been very strong, as far as I'm aware, on those issues. And you can see it in our policies now, banning the burqa, banning Sharia courts, you know, complete zero tolerance on hate preachers, deporting them, deporting every single illegal migrant, stopping, issuing visas to countries like Pakistan.
Starting point is 00:32:43 You know, that is the kind of policies that are needed now to begin to turn the tide on this. I don't want to live in a country. I don't all my children to grow up in a country where the rise of radical Islam has been left unchecked. The Islamification of this country is one, perhaps the greatest threat to our way of life right now. Robert, you know there's a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I mean, there's a lot of people watching now. A lot of outspoken viewers. who say that's all well and good, but they blame you. They blame you. And this is fed into the rise of Restore Britain. And this policy from Rupert Lowe that previously would have been considered extreme. But it's actually locking people like you up, locking previous cabinet ministers who worked for the Conservative government up. And Basil the Great posted on this after Rupert made this announcement at the Restore conference. I cannot tell you how powerful. popular this policy is becoming with normal everyday people. When you explain to them, they are being given a legitimate chance to put in prison the politicians who have done this to our country.
Starting point is 00:33:49 They are genuinely hopeful for the future. It's amazing. Now, I want to give you a chance to properly respond, but this is what Rupert said during that Restore conference. If there is one reason alone why you should support Restore Britain, it is this. those civil servants, officials and yes, politicians, who have knowingly facilitated the invasion of our country
Starting point is 00:34:17 and deliberately placed unvetted, dangerous men in communities all over Britain, we will aim to prosecute them, and where appropriate, and where appropriate, they will be sent to prison. Okay, you know he's talking about you, right? Well, I don't know that actually. I mean, I always find a bit odd when I hear these comments by Rupert Lowe, if they're aimed at me. Because certainly before I joined Reform, Rupert was extremely supportive of me. In fact, he took me out for lunch once and said that he wanted to join the Conservative Party if I became its leader.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And a few of his staff members like Charlie Downs applied to come and work for me. So they seem to be very supportive of me at the time. It feels a bit confecting. Okay, well, so you're making some news there. Let me just clarify. Let me just clarify what you're saying, because that is news. You're saying that Rupert Lowe said to you directly that if you won the leadership contest versus Kemi Badernock, he wanted to leave Reform UK and join the Conservative Party, is that right?
Starting point is 00:35:46 No, this was afterwards after the. after the leadership contest, he said that he would be interested in joining the Conservative Party if I became its leader, if there was some kind of switch in the future. And this was once he had left to Reform UK. Yeah, it was, yeah. But the point is this.
Starting point is 00:36:04 I don't want to get into an argument with Rupa. I think this is totally pointless because we agree on almost everything. And the whole division on the right is so, you know, it's so, pointless when what we all feel is that this country is in a mess, we have one last chance to turn it around, the next election will be the last opportunity to fix our country and stop it from slipping away. I have always fought for that. And if you ask me about my record in the last
Starting point is 00:36:36 conservative government, I went into the home office. I found it to be a complete binfire because of the disastrous policies of Boris Johnson and Priti Patel. I began with Suella to fight against them to do everything that we could, to make the argument that we needed to leave the ECHR, that we had to scrap the legal migration system that had been created. I won many of those arguments. I persuaded Rishi belatedly to make the first serious changes, which has brought down the number of people coming into this country significantly, though not enough. And then when ultimately I realized that I couldn't get what was needed, I resigned. I was the only person to resign on principle from the last conservative government.
Starting point is 00:37:20 And then I went on to the backbenches and began campaigning and voting against that government. And in fact, on the crucial Rwanda bill vote, where I argued that we needed to be able to get people out of the country without recourse to the Human Rights Act or the ECHR, there was only 11 of us who stood with me and the only 10 others who stood with me in that debate who were willing to vote against that government. And Rishi was threatening that we would be losing the whip and couldn't stand as conservatives. I said, no, this is what I believe.
Starting point is 00:37:55 I'm going to vote against the government. And I've continued that fight ever since, where that was to try and turn the Tory party around. Ultimately, I realized that was a fruitless exercise and then leaving and joining reform. And I'm going to keep fighting this for as long as I possibly can. It's the most important thing. I've also been a whistleblower on some of the terrible events that have happened.
Starting point is 00:38:16 And, you know, I said, for example, that the Home Office knew that terrorists were breaking into our country on small boats. And the Home Office wrote to me saying that I shouldn't say that. They were trying to silence me for making that argument, threatening me. There would be legal action against me for doing that. But I continued to say it because I knew that it was the right thing. I didn't think people, I deserve the public, deserved to know the truth on that issue. That's astonishing. to the Home Office Threatens the former immigration minister, nut.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Exactly. And of course I was right, as we've seen now, it's abundantly clear that terrorists, foreign agents, have come across on small boats, living amongst us, are subjects of interest being followed at vast cost and complexity by the security services and are behind some of the terrible incidents that we're seeing right now. Robert, the restore issue, though, overall is a really serious one. I find it very frustrating, if I'm honest.
Starting point is 00:39:13 I know none of these decisions were yours, but I voted for Reform UK at the last election. I was very open about that. It was obviously a colleague of Nigel Farage for a long time, but also a big supporter of Rupert Lowe, too. And when I saw that fallout happen, which remember involved Zee, use of reporting Rupert Lowe to the police for hurty words during a political argument, I thought, oh my God, what do you do? But you don't understand what this is going to create, what you have unleashed. And at the time, Robin, this is why a lot of people in Reform turned on me. People like Richard Tice were saying to me, no, damn, this is great. This is great because we're going to get the extremists out of Reform UK.
Starting point is 00:39:59 This is the way that we are going to prove to the mainstream media, that we're not the party of Tommy Robinson, that we're this mainstream force. But of course, you look at the polling today, and it's a new UGov poll out, and it's dishonest because it doesn't prompt for Restore Britain, but you do see that over the past year, Reform UK has dropped and some of that has gone to the Tories, but I think it's undeniable that a big chunk of it has gone to Restore Britain. And it's actually Restore Britain that could now stop there being a Reform UK government.
Starting point is 00:40:31 So how do you want to deal with that? Because what I find really frustrating, and I don't think is going to work, is just this attack on Restore Britain supporters as, you know, you're not patriotic, you're delusional, you're never going to win, because that's not going to work. There has to be a better strategy, right? What is it? What are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:40:54 Well, you won't hear me criticizing people who support, restore. You know, I know many of these people, they're my friends, they're people who live in my constituency. I ultimately want to persuade them that the only path to. to getting rid of this Labour government, to having the kind of patriotic government that we want is for Nigel to be in number 10. You know, you may disagree with me. Others may do, but I just do not see any path for any other party on the right to secure enough seats to be able to have a majority at the next election. And, you know, I would just urge people to think carefully about that
Starting point is 00:41:37 to rally behind Nigel and for reform. And of course, for reform. And of course, for reform. to be the best version of itself. So why not do talks? Why not do talks with Restore Britain then, which Rupert Lowe offered? Well, that's not for me, ultimately. You know, that's for others to decide. But I have no animus towards anyone. I wasn't involved in reform at the time when Rupert left.
Starting point is 00:42:04 And, you know, I wasn't party to the falling out that happened. But I obviously want... Do you like him? Like when you had these meetings after his... left. Did you get on? Do you think he's a good guy? Yeah, the conversations that we had back then were always very, very amicable. And we all have a lot in common, absolutely. But, you know, I see what's happening, so in some parts of the country, like the recent by-elections in Dover and in Blackpool. And it cannot be sensible that you end up
Starting point is 00:42:35 in this situation where, you know, a Labour councillor wins in Blackpool or I think a Green councillor wins in Dover instead of someone who believes in secure borders, a tough approach to crime, restoring pride and patriotism in this country. That is just massively counterproductive. And as I say, the motivation, I think for you, for me, for everyone in reform or need restore is to ensure that at the next election, we finally turn a page and get the kind of radical government Absolutely. That's why I think it was very frustrating to me to see Reform UK repel a lot of people who I knew to be patriots, right? So just to clarify now, like, would you welcome Tommy Robinson supporters in Reform UK now? Because a lot of them were kicked out at the time.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Well, there's – sorry. Thank you. Sorry, sure. That's ultimately not my call. Who comes into the party? That's for Nigel and others to determine. But look, I want to build as broader coalition as possible of people who share my values, who want us to fix this country.
Starting point is 00:43:56 And as I say, I don't go around criticizing people, you know, banding around terms like racist. You know, that's what our opponents. 100%. 100%. We are all basically on the same side here and want the same things that fix this country. Well, are we? I've got to ask you because I've got to ask you about Zia Yusuf, right? There's a lot of fascination about this. And Nigel spoke about it at the weekend.
Starting point is 00:44:20 I'm sure you saw. But I'm not sure if you saw this line from your former colleague, Chris Phil, who is the Shadow Home Secretary in the Tories, who described Robert Jenrick and Zia Yusuf as the Rebecca. Vardy and Colleen Rooney of politics, which Nigel basically seemed to agree with in this Sunday Times article. He was interviewed over the weekend and he did concede on the record, Robert, that there was some bitterness there between yourself and Yusuf. I mean, comparing you to Colleen Rooney and Reikvati, I mean, basically the translation there of people who aren't involved in pop culture is that you two despise each other, right?
Starting point is 00:45:12 I mean, he suggested that you should go to jail before you defected. So how are things now? They've been good. I mean, that was probably the first genuinely fucking thing I've ever heard Chris Philp say. The one thing that we both share amongst other things is we both hate the Tory party. you know, I came to feel very, very strongly that the Tory party failed this country and that it should never ever be allowed a chance to run it again. And Zia feels exactly the same.
Starting point is 00:45:45 He's a strong personality, but we need someone strong at the home office. Do you trust him? I've seen that. I do. I do. I have no doubt that he wants to fix this country and that he would be the strong hand that you need at the home office. Okay, well, I want to show you what your former colleague.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I mean, you like Mark Francois, right? You think he's a good guy? Yeah, I always got on all right with Mark Francois. What's he had to say? Well, he has said that actually the main stumbling block in any potential future coalition agreement between the Conservative Party and Reform UK. And I know you're going to say you don't want one,
Starting point is 00:46:22 but who knows, it may become necessary. If you want to make Nigel Farage Prime Minister, He says the main stumbling block for a deal is Zia Yusuf and that Nigel Farage should kick Zia Yusuf out of the party. This is what he said on Talk TV. Would you personally like to see a deal with Reform UK if that indeed could help the Conservatives get back to power? Not while Zia Yusuf is involved, no.
Starting point is 00:46:48 In fact, just for the record... Even if it means the left get back in. Look, there have been several polls for the record where we've been ahead of reform. We seem to be going forwards. seem to be going backwards. I'm not going to relitigate now on your show all the stuff about the five million and all the donations.
Starting point is 00:47:04 But, you know, reform are not having a good time at it at the moment. And when you have people like Zia Youssef who accused someone like Ben Wallace, a former defence secretary, a Scots guard's officer, a man who was decorated for his service in Northern Ireland for catching an IRA active service unit red-handed, when a man like Zia Yusuf then calls a man like Ben Wernard. Wallace a traitor. There is absolutely no way that we can do business with people like that. Fine. But then what, so I suppose the question has to be, if it's an either-or, would you rather see Labour get back in for another five years continuing to carry on the path that they have chosen
Starting point is 00:47:44 to go down? Or would you rather swallow pride and say, actually, Zer Yusiv is quite a large part of reform? And if it is indeed the way to stop any of this further destruction, don't you think it would make more sense to put the British public first ahead of differences? I think my preferred option is that Nigel Farad Sachs here, Yusuf and kicks him out of reform. It's an open secret at Zia wants his job anyway, so if I have a Nigel, I'd get on with it. What do you reckon? Well, honestly, although I like Mark as a person, it takes some audacity for him to go around, lecturing us on how we conduct ourselves. He's a defence spokesperson for the Tory party,
Starting point is 00:48:27 and my former party left this country defence less. It did a real terms increase in foreign aid spending whilst doing a real terms decrease in defence spending. That is completely indefensible. And I don't want to see a deal with the Tory party. I really don't. I genuinely do not want to see any deal with that party. It failed this country.
Starting point is 00:48:52 It would fail it again. and I am so pleased. You would know. I mean, you know that. Dan, I'm so pleased I walked away from that party. It is exactly the same. And watching from afar, the Tory party conference this week, it is the same old faces, tired, failed policies,
Starting point is 00:49:11 people pretending that they've changed. It's complete and utter rubbish. These people never, ever deserve to have their hand on the tiller of this country. Well, I totally agree with you, actually. I don't want any part of that. if that happened, I would not serve in some kind of... Do you don't want to be coalition? Coalition with the Troy.
Starting point is 00:49:29 I agree. I want nothing to do with it. Do you know what is extraordinary, though, Robert? Don't you think we have a real problem with the mainstream media in this country? I know Reform UK is pushing ahead with this plan to sort of go independent. Personally, I would say, you know, embrace some of the independent media that is already here. But it is astonishing to watch the mainstream media this week. Pretend that we are living in a different age, that this conservative.
Starting point is 00:49:53 party conference is at all relevant. Now, obviously, I'm keeping my eye on it because I keep an eye on all of the news to see what is going down. But I want you here today. I don't want to speak to Kmi Baderna. It is a completely irrelevant party conference. And even though I do think Reform UK is struggling in the polls at the moment, there has been no Tory bounce. Why do you think the mainstream media are so determined to revive this dead Tory brand? What is that about? It's because we represent change and they don't want to see that change happen and they far too much invested in the old party. I used to think that there was a right wing press in this country, but it's the Tory press. Yeah, 100%.
Starting point is 00:50:37 And it is utterly corrupt. It is led by people who have got vested interest. Lord Gove, you know, Tory peer edits the spectator, all these columnists, Danny Finkelstein, William Hague, you know, Charles Moore. all Tory peers. You know, they are all just part of this failed establishment. It's their own record they want to defend. It's the money they pick up in the House of Lords that they want to defend. These people have got to be swept away. And that is why we have to win at the next general election and replace the Tory party wants them for all. And it's also why, Dan, people like you are doing a real service to this country. Because the kind of things that I believe in, the things that
Starting point is 00:51:22 millions of people in this country believe in are not being put out to the general public through the mainstream media. 100%. And with your own, you know, independent media and are the social media of politicians like myself to reach beyond. Are you going to be hosting a show on Reform TV? Do you know? Have they tapped you up?
Starting point is 00:51:43 I hope you're not going to go head to head with me, at least. Well, that would be very difficult, down, because I've seen your numbers and you're doing extremely well. But this is interesting. It is interesting. I mean, look, I think Reform UK should actually be turning its back even more on the mainstream media and embracing the independent media. If you saw what happened with Donald Trump, it was a big part of his second term re-election. There were a couple of mortifying moments. Actually, I want to show you one, Robert. I'm not sure if you've seen it because it was a coup that they secured Jeremy Clarkson, I think, to speak at the conference. He's obviously a long-term Tory. But then did you see he immediately pointed. pointed out, there was actually no one filling the seats. Watch this. National Television Awards winner, pub owner, farmer, the legend. That is Jeremy Clarkson.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Now, I have to say, I hope these seats are more comfortable than the sofa in your office. That's disgusting. That was the dirtiest sofa. A lot of people have come dressed as seats on O'Too. I mean, Robert, I've seen some of the answer. But I've seen some of the aerial shots. There were not many people there. There was no sense of excitement.
Starting point is 00:53:17 I mean, look at that. That is a conservative party conference. It is astonishing how far that once great party. And it was a once great party, right? Has fallen. Yeah. No, it was a dead party. I think there was four or five hundred people in the room watching those speeches.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Unbelievable. No energy whatsoever. I thought that that was very funny. The other one, I don't know if you saw, was my opposite number, Andrew Griffith's speech, where the lady who introduced him didn't even know his name. So she mispronounced him. And then after a series of slightly bizarre moments, he walked off the stage, having finished his speech, and no one actually noticed that he'd finished his speech.
Starting point is 00:54:08 And so he got a standing ovation after he'd already left the auditorium. It was one of the worst features I think I've ever seen. Yeah, yeah. It has been difficult. But it is also very interesting, watching the media sort of trying to keep this party on life support. Yeah, look, they will keep forning over the party,
Starting point is 00:54:27 you know, lionising it. But it's with ever decreasing impact on the public because they're just not getting their news from the Daily Mail or the telegraph. Are they? They're getting it from platforms like yours. and that's incredibly important. Robert, I've got to speak to you about Anne Wittickham.
Starting point is 00:54:46 This is the first time you've been on the show since her murder. She was obviously a friend of mine, a regular on my former show on GV News, and I'm sure you were also deeply impacted by this, given you were colleagues. And she worked on a beat that you were incredibly passionate about the immigration beat, the invasion of this country. But we talk about mainstream media corruption. And obviously, I hold my hands up and say we have to be really careful, right?
Starting point is 00:55:19 Because we live in this sort of heavily controlled deep state media environment where you can literally be locked up for reporting the truth about a case which is currently before the court. So I always say that as a caveat, there is much that you will know, there is much that I will know that we can't actually say operating within the UK laws. But I believe there has been an attempt, Robert, by the mainstream media and by the deep state to cover up, the reality of this case, we have seen the two major announcements connecting Nigel Farage's firebombing,
Starting point is 00:55:58 which James O'Brien claimed was just a lie. We'll get to that. Nigel Farage was just making the whole thing up. It was just a lie. Connecting Joshua Kerry to that case and the murder of Anne Whittickham, both announcements, Robert, were made late on a Friday night. That is literally what the deep state does when it is trying to cover up a story. Why do you think they don't want us to realise the truth about what happened to Anne Widdickham?
Starting point is 00:56:32 Yeah, well, firstly, like you, I would. was very, very saddened, shocked by the death of Anne Woodcom. I didn't know her as well as you did, but I had met her a number of times and had the utmost respect for her. I think she was an amazing, amazing, indomitable figure, and it was appalling that she died in this manner. I don't know exactly what happened, but I think we can, we can say that had the police properly investigated, the threat to Nigel Frage, and would probably still be alive today. Why did they fail? Well, I guess that's to be to be discovered in the investigations to come. Was it incompetence or was it political bias or was it a bit of both?
Starting point is 00:57:23 I have my own theory on that. And are the police now trying to cover their tracks? Well, yeah, It does seem very suspicious that they're putting this out into the public domain at the most convenient moment possible for them where they think that it will get the least press. We just need to know now the truth and hold to account in time those officers responsible because I have a strong suspicion that Anne would still be alive if some of those officers had done their job properly back in the day. 100%. And I think the question, Robert, is why did they not do their job? properly. Was it deliberate? Was it incompetence? Or I put another theory to you. Was it because the mainstream media have been working so hard or so long to try and claim that Nigel Farage is lying about the very genuine threat to his life and to the life of his family? Now, I have been on the story. Whatever policy disagreements I might have or disagreements about the treatment of Rupert Lowe,
Starting point is 00:58:26 I have been 100% on this story from the start when the mainstream media has failed because I know the threat that Nigel Farage is under. And I just want you to imagine, Robert, for one second, that a right-wing media figure had suggested that, say, Diane Abbott was lying about a threat against her and Diane Abbott was assassinated. I mean, that person would be cancelled, right, from polite society, would lose their job almost immediately. But that is exactly. what James O'Brien did. I'm not sure if you've heard this, but I've actually got the receipts. And I do want to ask you about this because I think there are now serious questions for LBC's owner Global Radio as to why they have deleted this episode with no explanation, Robert.
Starting point is 00:59:11 So here's what happened. And I'm going to give credit to a wonderful woman called Sandra Parker who keeps James O'Brien honest. Okay. She tracks all of these terrible comments that he makes on his show. So this was on the 6th of May this year. James O'Brien accused. Nigel Farage of lying about the terrorist attempts to firebomb his home. Without any sort of acknowledgement, any sort of public concession that they had done something wrong, on the day that Joshua Kerry was charged, though that was last Friday night, LBC deleted this episode of James O'Brien's show from Global Play It. They didn't want us to hear what he had to say at the time, Robert. They hoped everyone had forgotten. Well, thank God, we managed to keep the receipts.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Thanks to brilliant people like Sandra Parker who are keeping across what James O'Brien says and does. I, of course, don't listen to this show. I couldn't bring myself to do that. But I want to show you what they deleted, because to me, it is very, very disturbing, and I think we need an explanation as to why. He's claimed, of course, to be the victim of a firebombing attack as well. But we are looking into that, and at the moment, all we can establish is that the Metropolitan Police are investigating or did investigate an alleged attempted burglary at one of his homes in Bromley with no mention of arsenal firebombing whatsoever. It's not as if he's ever lied about stuff like that before, except, of course, he has when he claimed that a mechanic in France or Belgium had told him that his wheel nuts had been tampered with, and that the reason, that proof that an assassination attempt had been undertaken was when the wheel fell off his Volvo,
Starting point is 01:00:50 except some pesky journalists tracked down the mechanic responsible and it turned out, A, that he couldn't speak English. Luckily, the journalist, unlike Farage, could speak French and he revealed to them that he'd said absolutely nothing of the sort and couldn't have done if he'd wanted to because they communicated with each other through sign language. So, would you trust a man who lied about an assassination attempt on himself? Or, of course, more pertinently,
Starting point is 01:01:16 is it possible that a man who has lied about an assassination attempt on himself, despite knowing full well that he was lying, might also be economical with the actuality about a so-called fire bomb attack while trying to wriggle off the hook on which he has found himself after journalists discovered he'd accepted £5 million in secret from a foreign billionaire, foreign-based billionaire who owns 12% of a cryptocurrency company that lo and behold, a few months later, after trousering the check, Nigel Farage popped up on LBC singing the praises off.
Starting point is 01:01:46 I mean, not only is it a crazy conspiracy, it's dangerous. What's your reaction to the fact that global radio and LBC have now deleted that episode with no explanation? No, it's very shocking, isn't it? He made those remarks. Presumably it's been taken down because it was defamatory. And now provably so, actually. But it's for global to explain why they've taken it down.
Starting point is 01:02:19 And what, if any, action they're taking against James O'Brien? Because you can't go around just defaming people in such a serious way as that and get away with it. It's a really shocking and distasteful remark. And as you rightly said earlier, you would never be able to say this about a politician on the left. And rightly so. No, and we all took so many. On the left. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:46 They basically don't give a damn about the security. of those of us on the right whether Nigel, Rupert, myself, whoever it happened to be, they don't give a toss about our security. They only care about people who they agree with and feel sorry for. Do you know if you were on Joshua Kerry's list, the police have said that he had a list of 100 VIPs, including high-profile people on the right? Do you know if you were one of them? I don't know that, no. But I do know some other people, who believe that they were. So yeah, it will encompass a number of people
Starting point is 01:03:25 who are well known on the political rights, that's for sure. And remember, what I find so shocking about this is that at the time, because I was actually the first person to report that leftist ideology, and actually there was quite a lot of Russian communist type stuff, but it was certainly leftist ideology had been discovered in Joshua Carey's home. Now, when I reported that, the police were saying,
Starting point is 01:03:49 that this wasn't terrorism, that there was no political motivation. Can you understand why people really struggle now to trust the police? And that breakdown in trust is actually potentially going to lead to very bad things. Take us to a very bad place. Yeah, look, there's so many different places where we see the police failing to apply the law, and to protect people equally from the Henry Novak case to the way in which free speeches are defended or not defended to the defense of politicians.
Starting point is 01:04:31 And, you know, I said in the House of Commons with respect to Nigel's security, I just think if he was anyone else, then he would have been given security by the state a long time ago. And I just think that's, that is really, really bad. We've got to be applying these rules without distinction. You know, if I was the Home Secretary or the Chancellor of the Exchequer, I would want everyone to be safe. I would give security to any of my political opponents if they had even a fraction of the threats that Nigel Farge has had.
Starting point is 01:05:08 It's a very dark place where people feel unsafe to be in politics right now. And that is the case for a number of people. And that's got to stop. Robert, and what is a very sad day in the entertainment showbiz world after the death of Jeffrey Archer, I do want to finish with you with something light, okay, because your colleague, your friend, Suella Braverman, colleague in the Reform UK Shadow Cabinet, is currently spending pretty much every waking hour handcuffed to Jordan to Katie Price. what the hell is going on? Well, I only found out last night when I saw this on social media.
Starting point is 01:05:58 So she's been keeping it a secret. He kept it a secret, as did Rail, her husband, both whom I've chatted to recently. I mean, unbelievable. But, I mean, good luck to her. I don't think I could do that, that's for sure. What, be handcuffed to Katie Price or anyone? Maybe your wife probably would not be happy with you being handcuffed to Katie Price.
Starting point is 01:06:22 I think my wife would have something to say about being handcuffed to Katie Prize. But is this actually, see, you know there will be criticism, but I quite liked this because actually, don't you have to take the reform message and actually just the generally politically right message to a different audience? And this is going to be a way for Suella to do it. In fact, we saw Nigel Farage do it. I know he wasn't a frontline politician at the time, but he did. did do it very successfully.
Starting point is 01:06:50 And I'm a celebrity to get me out of her. And ironically, if it wasn't for that, he may not have decided to make his return to frontline politics. Yeah, look, I think you've got to find different ways of reaching out to people, haven't you? And it can't all just be on, you know, traditional news media and so on. And showing it's nice all to show a lighter side to your personality. I mean, I've known Svala for 25 years.
Starting point is 01:07:12 And she is a lovely person, often attacked unfairly by the media. and I'm sure this will show the kind of fun, playful side to her as well. Okay, so I did have a final choice for you, okay? If you had to be handcuffed, Robert Jinn. And you have to, you have to answer, okay? You have to answer. This is one of those questions. There's no option to say none of the above.
Starting point is 01:07:40 If you had to be handcuffed to a month to either Kemmy Badernock, Rupert Lowe or Andy Burnham, who would you choose? Well, actually, that isn't that difficult. I'd choose Rupert any day of the week. I think we'd get on quite well, actually. That would be a good team. And look, just a final word about the death of Geoffrey Archer. He was a big supporter of the Conservative part.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Well, I mean, he was a conservative, but he was a big supporter of a lot of sort of up-and-com. coming stars within the Conservative Party over many years. Did you come into much contact with him? Yeah, I didn't know him well, but I did have some contact with him, particularly in the last years of his life. And, you know, he was full of energy. He lived an epic life, really, didn't he? His life was just like one of his novels with all the same twists and turns. and astonishing, you know, reversals of fortune and then comebacks. It was, it was, it was an amazing life.
Starting point is 01:08:53 And he was very generous in supporting lots of people that I know. And in sticking by people who had tough times, because, you know, it is a winding road in life. And he, he always stuck by his friends when they had tough times. And that is something that I respect. Absolutely. He will be missed enormously. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:09:17 Total legend. Robert Jenrick, Reform UK, Shadow Chancellor. Thank you so much. Please don't leave it so long next time. You know, we've got a big audience here on outspoken. And it is a big, I would say, restore adjacent audience. But you are going to need to win those people back if you are going to win over the right. So please come back soon.
Starting point is 01:09:36 Don't leave it so long. But it's been great that you've come into the lines in today. We're very, very grateful. Thank you so much. And Queen Camilla has. now hailed Jeffrey Archer as an irrepressible life force. This is a very interesting tribute, and I'll tell you why, because there are a lot of people within this sort of safe royal courtier community who did not want her to speak out, given Jeffrey Archer's fascinating past, which we'll
Starting point is 01:10:06 come to in just one moment. But I think this was a bold and morally correct move by the queen, who you will remember very recently also aligned herself to J.K. Rowling, despite the leftist hatred of her because of her views on trans. And Queen Camilla's statement, which I found very emotional actually, read, seldom does an author get to live a life as rich, varied, and colourful as any of the characters in their books or with as many surprising plot twists. Jeffrey Archer was an exception to the end It was therefore with sadness that I learned of his death yesterday On the eve of publication of his final work
Starting point is 01:10:47 And so soon after appearing at my Queen's Reading Room Festival My sympathies go to Mary and the family at this time of sorrow I hope it may be of some consolation for them To know what pleasure Geoffrey brought to me And to so many millions of readers through the pages of his works While he was not without flaw His friends will recall him as an irrepressible life force through all the many differing chapters of his life.
Starting point is 01:11:12 Wherever the next page turns to, I trust there will be champagne and shepherd's pie in abundance, Camilla R. And that was in reference to these incredible annual parties he would hold where he served shepherd's pie and champagne. Now, I want you to compare and contrast that absolutely pitch perfect tribute by the Queen of England to the way that that scumbag, that British bashing corporation's scumbag, Clive Myrie, decided to open the BBC 10 o'clock news where he described Jeffrey Houch. Remember, Jeffrey Archer had literally been dead a few hours. It had just been announced.
Starting point is 01:11:52 It had been announced in the past hours. So the BBC clearly planned this. Described Jeffrey Archer as disgraced. Now, of course, he did go to jail and we will come to that. But do you think if, Tony Blair or Angela Rainer or Louise Haig were to drop dead. The BBC would describe them as disgraced politicians. I doubt it. Watch. Within the last hour, it's been announced that the best-selling author and disgraced former conservative politician, Lord Archer of Western Super Mayor,
Starting point is 01:12:26 has died suddenly and peacefully at home. He was 86. His publisher says he died between writing sessions. His latest book, Adam and Eve, which he'd always planned to be his final novel, is published tomorrow. But the BBC hate Geoffrey Archer, or hated Geoffrey Archer, because he is on the right.
Starting point is 01:12:45 And indeed, the obituary was just full of pure poison. Listen to how it ended. He died wealthy but trusted by few, a man of great natural talent, ruined by compulsive dishonesty. Jeffrey Archer, who's died at the age of 86. I mean, they truly are scum.
Starting point is 01:13:05 This is the national, broadcaster that do you remember celebrated Jimmy Saville's death? The biggest paedophile in British history was treated like a god by the BBC. Even though they all knew, they all knew he was a paedophile and they celebrated the man. But Jeffrey Archer, someone who made a mistake, who acknowledged making a mistake, who turned his life around, who was beloved by millions and millions who raised so much money for charity, was a good man. fundamentally despite some flaws which we all have, they decide to brand him as a disgrace after his death, yet they celebrate Jimmy Saville after his death. Tell me why we should defund the BBC
Starting point is 01:13:50 once more. When I last interviewed Jeffrey Archer, it was actually at GB News. And he told me, and this is a really poignant clip actually when you look back at it now, because Jeffrey Archer was writing and working, right up until the hours before he died. And he told me on GB News that he was scared of slowing down, which was, of course, something he never did. I've said, I'm too old to really believe it until I see it. Well, exactly, I mean, I can't believe it, do you have to be what, 81 now?
Starting point is 01:14:27 81 and one third. My goodness. And you're not slowing down, though. You're still writing. Yes. I'm frightened of slowing down, to be honest. I think if you stop doing what you do, that could change very quickly. So, yes, I will continue writing.
Starting point is 01:14:44 As you know, I'm doing a series at the moment on a young man who leaves school and joins the police force. And I started that at the age of 77 and made the decision. I'm going to take him from a constable on the beat right through to the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. And every book he'll be a different rank. every book he'll have a different subject. So, for example, he starts as a constable, then becomes a detective sergeant, he does art fraud, and then he does murder, then he does drugs. So I have to live to the age of 85, because I know he's capable of becoming commissioner, but I have to live to the age of 85 to make sure he becomes commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
Starting point is 01:15:33 Because this series cannot go unfinished it. And isn't that just incredible? He lived until he was 86. So he did finish the William Warwick series. But he then wrote one more novel. This one, Adam and Eve. And you're not going to believe it. It was released today.
Starting point is 01:15:54 He died hours before the release of his final novel. Honestly, it gives me goosebumps. It gives me chills. And you know the great thing about Jeffrey Archer? He would have wanted a final bestseller. So go on, go and buy that. book, I promise you. I mean, I genuine, you know what, I saw the Times describe Jeffrey Archer's books as trash today and I just thought, screw you, you disgusting snobs. If I'm a Thicko who loves trash,
Starting point is 01:16:21 absolutely fine. Jeffrey Archer was the greatest novelist in modern British Times and 300 million of us agree. So F you, the Times newspaper, I would swear, but I won't on it. this very sad day, although I have a feeling Jeffrey Archer would actually have loved that BBC obituary because, you know what, it's all publicity for the book. He wanted the final bestseller. It's interesting, right, because you would assume that Jeffrey Archer's biggest regrets was the perjury trial, which of course led to his imprisonment. But we asked him about his major regrets on GB News. He didn't give the answer that you expected, but I did ask him here about how his life changed as a result of those two years behind bars?
Starting point is 01:17:10 That isn't my biggest regret at a silly level, not having any daughters. I would have loved to have had daughters and never being quite good enough as an athlete. I mean, I had honour of running for my country, but I was never quite good enough and I would like to have been good enough. Now, if you take the obvious regrets that you might well be expecting me to say, I've never met anybody who didn't make mistakes in life and didn't make a fool of themselves. I think it's how you recover from that that matters and how you behave after that. And I made a dreadful mistake. And I've tried for the last 20 years. I do my auctions, which I enjoy so much, write my books,
Starting point is 01:17:57 attempt to be captain of the England cricket team. I've had a wonderful 20 years. Do you think going to prison made you a better person? Well, I certainly met a group of human beings who hadn't had the privileges I'd had, and I watched what they were going through. And two in particular, who were murderers, I thought their background and what had happened was a lot to do with how they'd ended up murdering someone. Isn't that fascinating? He never lost his cheeky spirit either. I'll tell you the worst compliment I had a lady wrote to me. about a year ago and she said,
Starting point is 01:18:36 Dear Lord Archer, you are without exception the most devious man in England. Would you be kind enough to tell me when your next book is coming out? What a point to leave it. He was great. He was brilliant.
Starting point is 01:18:52 This is the final picture. The final ever picture of Geoffrey Archer. It was taken by the former politician, Giles Brandreith, who posted just yesterday, I did a show with Jeffrey to celebrate his new novel. He said it was to be his last. He was in the most wonderful form and had such a great reception from a packed house. He was funny, engaging and self-deprecating,
Starting point is 01:19:18 a great storyteller to the last. And he went on to describe how Lord Archer, because he was still a lord, even though he had officially left the House of Lords because of his age. And, he went on to explain how the show had ended in an unusual manner and that Jeffrey Archer had told Giles he wanted to do something a bit different and he said at the end of the show he got up and said I want to do a bit of Shakespeare he said I want to do the end of Puck's speech at the end of her midsummer's night dream. The speech where Puck says, Dentals, good night unto you all. He got up and did the speech at the very end of our show and then left the stage. The ovation was extraordinary. It was quite remarkable.
Starting point is 01:20:20 Now, I know you can't plan your death, but seriously? Wasn't this just amazing? It's honestly like Jeffrey Archer wrote a novel about how he were to die and he lived it out. Branworth went on, recounting his extraordinary life. He took everything to the extremes. To go out like that to die on the eve of the publication of your 50th book, which will be a number one bestseller. I don't think you could ask for anything more. Now, he was a Tory to the end. He stayed loyal to the Conservative Party and he was advising Kemi Badenok until just before his death. And Badenock posted, this is a huge shock. I am incredibly saddened to hear this news. He had sent me a lovely message just this morning and was
Starting point is 01:21:29 always a great source of encouragement to me personally. I can't believe he's gone. He was a dear friend to many of us and the conservative family will be railing at this news. Our thoughts are with Dame Mary and all of their family at this time. And you will remember that for a period, Jeffrey Archer was behind the rise of a whole generation of conservative cabinet ministers. from Sajed Javid to Kwasi Qatang to Nadeem Zahawi and whatever you think of where their political careers ended up. He was a man who just had so many connections and had so much to offer the world.
Starting point is 01:22:15 But personally for me, I didn't really embrace him as a politician. That's never what it was about. And gosh, it was being a politician that obviously caused him so much grief because the only reason that Fleet Street went so hard after him, because remember it was the Daily Star in the 1980s who had claimed that he had that affair and then after he perjured himself at that trial he was jailed about 15 years later actually. But it was never as a politician, as the deputy chair of the Conservative Party as one of Thatcher's advisors. That's never actually where I think he was strongest.
Starting point is 01:22:50 It was as an author. Oh my God, his books. His books. Canaan Abel, one of the greatest of all times. but there are so many and I adore his books. I love his books. I just loved it. And I love the way that he put writing first. It was really fascinating actually. So he would start writing and he would not be disturbed. And nothing. Nothing was too big to stop him during his writing process until the day when he was interrupted to be told of the death of his hero Margaret Thatcher.
Starting point is 01:23:31 He had a great sense of humour though too, as Piers Morgan recounted today, writing, what an irrepressible character, sold gazillions of books, raised gazillions for charity. There were parties, politics, cricket, he survived scandal, he survived prison, he had me laughing to the end. as our last text exchange on Sunday shows. And you'll remember, of course, that Pear's Morgan is currently in this legal battle with Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, over lies in his autobiography of Diana Swan's song.
Starting point is 01:24:10 And Lord Archer simply wrote, Two Pears, Please don't tell them to pulp my book, Jeffrey, with Peers replying, ha, ha, ha, ha, you always get your facts right, relax. And within 24 hours, he was dead. And what a way to go out. You know, I seriously hope that I'm at this desk, right? Until a few hours before I'm gone. He went out doing what he loved. Jeffrey, I loved you. I loved you as an author. I was a super fan. Any time I met him, it was embarrassing.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Like, it was just embarrassing. No one could cope with how, like, over the top I was with because I got to be in the presence of Jeffrey Archer. Seriously, I am going to miss his books so much, genuinely so much. I think he was the greatest modern-day British novelist. And please, if you haven't read a Jeffrey Archer book, go and download Canaan Abel on your Kindle right now. We'll go into your second-hand bookshop. You're not going to regret it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:18 To your super chats. Thank you so much. much a huge amount of feedback about our guest today. Robert Jenrick 14 Vaba pointing out nice that reformer finally realizing how big the alternative media is. Chris 281 says respect where respect is due. Well done for coming on here, Robert. Starting point is 01:25:56 All of this Islamic immigration bolsters the numbers on the left. Can we win? That is a question mark, and of course it is going to be tough. And Alex Marmon 619 says full credit to Robert Jennerate for coming on to the show to be interviewed on outspoken. I hope that the other reform MPs do the same off the back of this. I absolutely agree too. but not everyone supportive. Drow 609, who is number three on the outspoken list today.
Starting point is 01:26:24 Thank you, Drow, big ups to you, says Robert Generic was an integral part of the Boris Wave. You are now trying to limit damage to your own reputation. We will never trust you now, all liars. Watang Shield says it is just a simple question. Watan Shield is number one today. Thank you, says it's just a simple question. And she says, Harry and Megan are number one, Kanye West and someone called Bianca and number two. Do they know? Okay, a reminder of your nominees for today's union, Jackass, and it was actually Andy Burnham, nominated by Robert Jenrick for wanting to cut your pension but not foreign aid, migrant welfare, or net zero subsidies to protect it. Tan Ekram for making a mockery of judicial independence after his mission to recruit Pakistani lawyers
Starting point is 01:27:30 as judges was exposed. And I nominated, I nominated, excuse me, Clive Myrie of the British Bashing Corporation for calling Jeffrey Archer disgraced within minutes of his death. results are in. Just 4% of you agreeing with me that it's Clive Myrie. I'm a big loser today. The runner-up, Tanikram, but of course, today's union jackass. The win for Robert Jenrick, 80% of you going for Andy Burnham. And I also asked Robert earlier to nominate our greatest Britain winner and he has gone for King Charles, but it was for a very specific reason for refusing to pay for the legal fees of Andrew Mountbatten, Windsor to challenge his arrest by the police as unlawful.
