Starting point is 00:00:00 No spin, no bias, no censorship. I'm Dan Wooden. This is outspoken episode number 562. And breaking today, G.B. News star Patrick Christie's, targeted by illegal migrants in an execution plot, which would have seen him murdered alongside his wife, Emily Carver, simply for exposing the truth about the criminal gangs facilitating the invasion of the United Kingdom. Hi, Patrick Christie's. I'm from G.B. News. and you are a human trafficker, aren't you? Are there? Yes. Why are you bringing people illegally to Britain? Go. Why are you bringing people illegally to Britain?
Starting point is 00:00:41 So if you have a look, quickly, just quickly, right? Because we've got your face, well, we've got your face here, and we've got your phone number, and we know everything about you. We know your name, Ramah. There are now serious questions, too, for the Metropolitan Police, about how Christie's was left vulnerable
Starting point is 00:00:58 in what is clearly a warning to any British journalists exposing the truth of the invasion of our country. The police read out an official threat to life notice. It said, as a result of your recent journalistic coverage of organised crime groups in northern France, we are aware that members of those organised immigration crime groups are seeking to actively engage with you to cause you significant harm. I saw someone in the corner of my eye, this same guy. walking towards me. He walked up to me, paused, and I thought, this is it. He's going to do me. These human traffickers wanted to kill me in my own home while my wife was eight months pregnant.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Who knows if they'd have tried to harm my wife and son in order to get to me? I'm never allowed to know exactly who wanted to kill me, and I'm not allowed to know if the threat has gone away. It's just left to hang over us like a dark cloud. Also coming up today, Lefter Stoke, a disgusting cultural after the death by suicide of the ex-Cambridge Professor Jason R-Day, proving why they are completely unfit to have any place in our public life. I'm smeared Jason R-Dade to death, and now you're doing to his family? Get the fuck away from Jason R-Dade's family. Get the fuck away. From Jason-O-Dade's home, get the fuck away from Jason-O-Dade's children now!
Starting point is 00:02:27 How freaking dare you? It's not with your gas sliding. We know exactly what happened here. It was a racist. We turned. You had no evidence of any kind of plagiarism. Nothing about his exaggeration lies, whatever. We know what happened that drove him to kill himself.
Starting point is 00:02:45 And a lot of people have blood on their hand. But I think what even's worse is the rank hypocrisy. The rank hypocrisy of those in the MSM, like Channel 4 News and James O'Brien, raised their role in covering the scandal from the moment he was reported dead. What's your takeaway here? Because mine is very, very personal. I can't separate the personal from the public. I feel like a mug, actually, is the short answer. I don't feel guilt. I don't feel, oh, you should have done differently or you should have done better, because, I mean, who would?
Starting point is 00:03:21 That we keep coming back to, and it wouldn't have happened to a white, it just wouldn't it happened to a white professor and people can do with that. Well, you can disagree with me if you want, Ben, but I don't think that anybody who really understands politics, let alone racial politics, can argue with that. So who has been subjected to a bigger witch hunt than anyone in modern British history? I think the person you need to hear from on this story is Katie Hopkins. If you put yourself out there, you put yourself in the public eye. Not everyone's going to like what you do or what you say or what they believe to be true about you. And I say tough shit.
Starting point is 00:04:03 You put yourself out there. You have to sack it up. You want plaud it or you want to be lauded as the first young this or that or be a professor. That will come with scrutiny. Because if you know who you are and you are actually a fraud, then you simply can't. Carry on. Katie's full, powerful verdict on the way, along with analysis from YouTube sensation, Leo Curse,
Starting point is 00:04:29 who joins us for the entire show. Also coming up today, Andy Burnham, humiliated as he puts national security at risk by being sucked in by a Donald Trump prank, swapping messages with a hacker who he believed was the White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles. And comics at war, as the Reform UK versus Restore Britain
Starting point is 00:04:48 political battle of the right spreads to Dom Jolly and John Cleese. Then, in the Royal Uncanceled After Show on Subsect, Prince Harry's plot to return to Britain is formalised. Shocking new details reveal how the delusional Duke believes he can railroad over the late queen. Oh my goodness, seriously, if there's one thing we don't need at the moment is Prince Harry sticking his o'er. Imagine Prince Harry weighing into the Jason a day debate. We will get into it all with P. Diner. We're also going to reveal a brand new greatest Britain and Union Jackass. Actually, Prince Harry is one of the nominees put forward by Leo Curse for stopping funding of Centa Bali,
Starting point is 00:05:26 the charity he founded to help children in Africa after a falling out with the management. Leo says it seems callous to condemn children just because of a spat he had. He's also nominated Edwina Curry for suggesting that a village about to host a massive migrant camp needs brothels. May I suggest we return the migrants instead? And I've nominated Christian Guru Murthy of Channel 4 News for his Jason Arday hypocrisy, which I will be exposing very shortly. Please do keep your votes coming in throughout the show. Keep your superchats coming into. I will read the best before the end of the show today. But now, let's go.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Welcome to the Disunited Kingdom. We're exposing the true horror of the illegal invasion via the channel, including exposing the criminal gangs in Kaleigh, will see you left unprotected by the Metropolitan Police, even after a shocking plot is exposed, that would see you executed alongside your pregnant TV wife, in your own home. That is the horrifying reality faced in real life by GB News star host Patrick Christie's, after his reporting from France directly exposed the people traffickers responsible for the mass importation of rapists, murderers, terrorists and drug traffickers into our once beautiful country. The Daily Mail reported at the weekend in a scandal that has been completely ignored
Starting point is 00:06:57 by the disgusting mainstream media outlets like the British Bashian Corporation, Wokai TV and Sly News, that a prominent television news journalist is living under threat. After a death threat from human traffickers following a confrontation with small boat gangsters in northern France, Patrick Christie, who presents the Tonight, current affairs, show on G.B. News has told the mail on Sunday the threat is so serious that the Metropolitan Police ordered him to abandon his home in the small hours of the morning. Christus and his heavily pregnant wife fellow GB News presenter Emily Carver were warned the intelligence services believed their lives were at risk because of his work exposing people smugglers in Calais. They were told to pack
Starting point is 00:07:38 their bags and hide with friends. Recounting his ordeal for the first time, Christie said he is angry and exasperated by the failure of the British authorities to tackle the gangs who he says operate in plain sight. He is also concerned his young family were exposed to danger when the Metropolitan Police disconnected their panic alarm without warning. In one Chilean episode, Christie said he was tracked down on a London street by a trafficker from Calais. And 12 months on, the couple have round-the-clock security. The intelligence services, by the way, have never withdrawing their warning and are unlikely to do so, yet the couple remain in the dark about who wanted to kill them and how. Even last night, the Metropolitan Police made no comment. The effect
Starting point is 00:08:26 on the family's life, meanwhile, has been profound. Christie's has security when he goes to and from the office and G.B News pays for nightly patrols on the street where they live. While he accepts the constraints the police are under, the presenter is less forgiving about the wider situation. Now, Regular outspoken viewers will know Patrick and I are not close, but this is not the point. Actually, this shocking situation has to be called out by anyone, with any sanity. I mean, can you just imagine for one second, the person that we were talking about, the high-profile mainstream media TV news presenter we were talking about had been Tom Bradby or Laura Coonsberg or Victoria Derbyshire or Beth Rigby,
Starting point is 00:09:07 revealing their life had been put at threat like that in an execution plot. You just know it would be. leading every single TV news bulletin, but a bit like with the assassination of Anwitticum, it's crickets from the legacy media and the political class. Now, Patrick hasn't spoken about this story outside of his words in the mail as of yet. So our outspoken AI geniuses have recreated his exact words because I think it's important you hear from him or our AI Patrick at least what happened. Indeed, he said the reason he is so strongly opposed to the illegals being allowed to come in is that they are now so emboldened they thought they could kill a TV star
Starting point is 00:09:49 and his own wife in their own home and just get away with it. This is personal for me. I want everyone to understand the reality of who we're letting in to our country. These human traffickers wanted to kill me in my own home while my wife was eight months pregnant. Who knows if they'd have tried to harm my wife and son in order to get to me? It makes me incredibly angry that we led illegals into the country, who we all pay for. Then we let those same people make millions of pounds trafficking yet more illegals to Britain. They feel so emboldened. They thought they could kill a TV journalist in his own home and get away with it.
Starting point is 00:10:28 He first got the news while live on air on GB News. He took a phone call in the ad break from his TV presenter wife, Emily Carver. Watch. I was broadcasting live on TV when my wife called me in an ad break saying, You need to come home, the police are here, someone wants to kill you. I got back just after midnight on July 25th. The police read out an official threat to life notice. It said,
Starting point is 00:10:56 As a result of your recent journalistic coverage of organized crime groups in northern France, we are aware that members of those organized immigration crime groups are seeking to actively engage with you to cause you significant harm. They said, you need to get out of your flat right now. Pack a bag, don't drive your car, which might be booby-trapped, book a black cab, go to a safe house, get out of here and don't come back. Meanwhile, I decided to carry on at work as normal, as if nothing had happened. I was bundled in and out of the office in secret.
Starting point is 00:11:32 The police told us to disguise ourselves if we went out. Shockingly, he then bumped into one of the migrants who had targeted him while his wife Emily was giving birth. One of the people I'd exposed in Calais was a runner for a trafficking gang. He wore a distinctive ring with a design like the Palestinian flag. I saw someone in the corner of my eye, this same guy walking towards me. He walked up to me, paused, and I thought, this is it. He's going to do me. We locked eyes and he held my gaze. and then walked off.
Starting point is 00:12:07 I'm 100% sure it was the same man. It's an incredible coincidence or a chilling signal. And then there was further anxiety a few weeks later when the couple were told the police wanted the panic alarm back. When the contractors turned up to take it away, I pleaded with them to leave it. But they said the alarm had already been disconnected for 10 days because the police didn't have enough.
Starting point is 00:12:31 They'd switch the alarm off without telling us. All the police could say was that they've had some information from the intelligence agencies. I don't blame the MET for not telling me more. They hadn't been told themselves. Patrick announced that they have failed to intimidate him, however, because he intends to return to Northern France for GB News. These are frightening times, especially in the light of what we've seen happen to Anne Whittickham
Starting point is 00:12:57 and the fire bombing at Nigel Farage's home. We're asked to put a huge amount of faith in the Metropolitan Police and the intelligence services. I'm not sure that's entirely safe. I'm never allowed to know exactly who wanted to kill me, and I'm not allowed to know if the threat has gone away. It's just left to hang over us like a dark cloud. But I want to let these monsters know
Starting point is 00:13:20 that if their intention was to scare me into silence, they failed. I'm going back to Northern France in the next few weeks. G.B. News, and I think this is important journalism, and we won't be intimidated. Okay, back to Real Patrick. This is the encounter that is believed to have put him under this execution threat. He told me to wait here and he says that in 10 minutes time, someone's going to come and meet me. 10.50 minutes time.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Hi, Patrick Christie. I'm from G.B. News. You are a human trafficker, aren't you? Are there? Yes. Why are you bringing people illegally to Britain? Why are you bringing people illegally to Britain? So if you have a look quickly, just quickly, right? Because we've got your face, well, we've got your face here
Starting point is 00:14:13 and we've got your phone number and we know everything about you, we know your name, Rama. So why are you illegally bringing people into Britain? He had also exposed the French government's total failure and stopping the boats. We are just near Dunkirk at the moment. Now, you might recognise this camp from the last this camp from the last time I reported here. What I want to do is see whether or not the camps have grown. I also want to try to show you the scale of the issue. So this is one of several camps dotted along this line of coast. Just beyond that tree line over there is the beach. And there's a couple of things that I think people should be aware of really. So for the however many hundred millions of pounds that we've sent the French, they have not put a fence up between here and the beach. So it's very easy for people to go from these camps. straight over those fields, straight onto a boat if they want to.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And we'll just see as well whether or not anyone here is aware of Kyrsama saying that he's going to start deporting people back to France if they make the journey illegally. So let's find out what people say. He also directly confronted the illegals themselves. How are you? Sorry to bother you. My name's Patrick. Is it possible to talk to you a little bit about you, to come to Britain? No. Can I ask him, our Prime Minister has said that he's going to deport people
Starting point is 00:15:41 if they enter illegally. Are you worried about being deported back to France? But we are not going to work here? You're going to stay here, are you? Yeah. So you're not going to come to England? No. Why are you here then? Why, why here? Because I have a friend here. I'm working here. Okay, okay. Last time. time I was here, this camp was smaller, so it has grown in size, significantly, I would say, which would indicate that maybe not a lot is being done to smash the gangs. There are some women and children. It's not only men. It is majority men, but you can see here, look, as a pram, a baby's pram, a couple of babies prams there, and we won't put their faces on
Starting point is 00:16:27 camera, but I can see some children over there as well. Let's keep walking through. Now, the mainstream media have completely ignored this scandal. Indeed, the Mike Graham's show became the only other outlet to cover the news this morning, with Patrick's GB News co-host and friend Christo Fufas, hitting back at claims from leftists that the whole story is made up. It's shocking. What's more shocking as well, though, with some of the reactions I saw to this over the weekend for people thinking that the story's either made up or that it's in some way brought up.
Starting point is 00:17:01 on by themselves when in actual fact what he is doing and what he has valiantly been doing is journalism. And I think what is what is amazing and you know they are dear friends of mine but I would say this anyway, they've not missed an hour of work because of this. They've not missed a show. They've not missed anything. They have just kept calm and carried on under really the most shocking of circumstances. And it's intimidation of the press who are who are legitimate. reporting on a story. Patrick found people smuggling gangs. That's what he did as part of his journalism. And it is those gangs that he exposed. And incidentally, gave the information to, from what I understand, to the government, as most agencies, most reporters do when they discover any of these criminal gangs. They pass it on to the authorities. And, but they, they, the authorities found that there had been through intelligence that there had been a threat to his, his safety. I mean, it's just typical, isn't it? Rather than cover the story, the leftists just say he made it up.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Ben, at expense on this. The Italian government went to war with the mafia to end this kind of thing. The British government still behaves like if we all just sing, imagine loud enough, the problem will go away by itself. How many more people have to die? That is my question. And of course, it is because they do not want to deal with the reality of what the elite, legal invasion has unleashed on our country. These scenes, though, tell the story. Yes, that is the United Kingdom with Basil the Great reporting, it was Pakistan Independence Day. So naturally, they caused absolute carnage on the streets of the UK. These people should not be here. Connor Tomlinson adding, I want independence from the Pakistanis imposed upon my country, colonising it against our wishes. Honestly, when you look at this, it is truly hard to
Starting point is 00:19:00 comprehend that you are witnessing Great Britain. Of course, as you can imagine, things soon turned violent. What happened? The teenagers are fighting with each other and one of them is said like he has a foot teenage of a knife. Nice. Knife, how are you? As a Christian mother, Lauren the insider, viewed those scenes with heartbreak.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Just get absolutely heartbroken that in a Christian country where you are patriotic, you are the villain now. But if you want to celebrate an Islamic Republic on the streets of London, that's absolutely fine. Police will seemingly turn a blind eye to fireworks and dangerous driving. But if you want to wear a cross or hold your flag, your St George's flag or your Union Jack flag,
Starting point is 00:21:36 oh, good grief. You are the worst of society, according to the mainstream media. But it gets worse. Yesterday there was another migrant stab-a-thon, this time by an unvetted Somali, which, as Lauren the insider explained, is now the new normal. So here we are. Our communities are absolutely infiltrated with unvetted male migrants of fighting age. Now, the fact that the papers are running, this man is Somali and the full details of
Starting point is 00:22:04 this story, I'm shocked, because the government have been suppressing this news under a DSMA notice. Please, if you have children and you are a woman in areas where there are migrants being housed, these people are unvetted. Stay safe because I'm afraid we are now seeing this is the new normal. Well, it is the new normal, but that new normal gets worse. The mercy in reporting today, the man who was stabbed at an asylum sticker hotel in Surrey was a support worker. Armed police were called to the Stanwell Hotel in Staines at around 6.5. 6.30 p.m. after reports of a stabbing, the victim, a man in his 30s who worked his support staff
Starting point is 00:22:46 was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 22-year-old Somalian who lived at the hotel has been charged with attempted murder. But it wasn't over. As Darren Grimes of Reform UK added another day, another horrifying headline caused by mass migration. An elderly man was attacked in Harrow by an Eritrean, an utterly horrific act. This Eritrean man had to use an interpreter throughout his case, showed no sorrow upon the CCTV footage being played and upon the verdict being delivered. These are the types of people we're letting over. Why on earth should the public suffer the government's failure? Is there the political will to do anything about this? I ask. Well, Rupert Lowe, the leader of Restore Britain, posted,
Starting point is 00:23:33 A Restore Britain government will end all immigration into our country from Eritrea. when Matthew Harper replied, so when someone arrives, says he is from Sudan, but it's actually from Eritrea. How will you know? Rupert responded, immigration from both of those countries would be banned, so no issues there. Now, let me bring in Leo Curse. Leo, great to have you. You wrote on this shocking story in regards to your GB News colleague Patrick Christie's. Most leftists, including the government, will be on the side of the violent immigrant. just as they were with the Betley grammar teacher and Tommy Robinson. The purpose of a system is what the system does.
Starting point is 00:24:25 And it is obviously a deeply horrifying story, Leo. Were you aware as a GB News presenter at that time of this threat to Patrick Christie's? Did you see the security presence increased? Well, I've heard of the threats against Patrick for quite some time. And not just Patrick. I mean, other presenters, not just on GB News, have been threatened. I don't think anybody's had the same sustained level of threat. And clearly a threat that the police are taking very, very seriously. And it's very unfair because, you know, when Patrick went over and reported on the migrant camps, I understand that that might have, you know, they might see that as disrupting their business. But he was respectful. He did it in good humor.
Starting point is 00:25:13 He wasn't condemning them. And for the response to that to be credible death threats is pretty horrific. And like I said, when I commented on it before, this feels like it's being done with the complicity of the left-wing establishment. You can see when people on the right are killed, like Anne Whitacom just a few weeks ago. Obviously, it's an ongoing case. we can't speculate, but it seems pretty clear what happened there. And the absolute glee that so many on the left showed when she was attacked, we've seen with the establishment's targeting of Nigel Farage, somebody else who's on the right. We can see, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:57 his family were doxed. He's had his police security cut by 70% clearly putting him at risk. I believe the establishment is, it's almost like stochastic terrorism, which is a phrase that the left came up with, which basically means you're creating an environment where violence against a certain demographic, a certain group is accepted. And that means, you know, increases the chances, might not increase the chance of a single person individually being killed. But overall, you know, people from that group are going to be killed. And I think that's what we're seeing here. And we can see people in the left aren't condemning it, aren't up in arms about it. They're actually quietly enjoying it, sometimes loudly enjoying it. And also the establishment, the government, the authorities, aren't doing absolutely everything they can to prevent it.
Starting point is 00:26:57 So, yeah, I think the left-wing establishment has some guilt here. Unlike the left, I don't celebrate the death. of my political opponents, but I also don't lie about what's really going on in this culture war. I don't hide away from the fact that the death of Jason Ardei is now being used by the worst people in this country to stoke and create a race war. And I will not. I will not take lectures. from the worst people in British society when it comes to witch hunts about a so-called witch-hunt about an academic with questions to answer. Remember, I have personal experience of this.
Starting point is 00:27:49 These people wanted me dead. And it is fascinating. It's almost like a study in the fucked up nature of the leftist brain to see how they react to different stories in a totally different manner. Like Supatansky, the byline align. Cretton, who posted about Jason Ardey, I hope all those racist bastards are happy with themselves for driving a young black man to his death. You essentially achieved an indirect lynching.
Starting point is 00:28:18 God, I fucking hate what this country is becoming. The same Sue Patansky, who within hours after the assassination, political assassination of my friend Anne Whitakim, posted this, saying Anne starting her descent into hell. The leftists in this country are not normal. They have their pitchforks out at the slightest drop of a hat. They wanted Lawrence Fox did. They wanted Katie Hopkins did. So spare me the lectures.
Starting point is 00:28:48 And by the way, none of their reactions are normal. Okay? Dr. Scholar. Dr. Scholar. Evil woman. Actually, seriously evil woman. And her reaction to this tragedy shows why she should have No place in our public life.
Starting point is 00:29:06 No place in our country. Watch. I'm smearled chasing our day to death. And now you're doing to his family? Get the fuck away from Jason our day's family. Get the fuck away. From Jason and our day's home? Get the fuck away from Jason and our day's children now.
Starting point is 00:29:27 How freaking dare you? Are you mad? I want the names of the bloody journalist, the photographers, whatever freaking TV. your radio station that's participating in this monstrosity. I swear to God, we are not mad enough. Get the fuck away from them now. Okay, so do you notice what she's doing? She's actually inciting violence. And this is what's going on. Look at this from Matt Goodwin. There are people making what looks like hit lists of journalists who worked on the Jason Ardei story. These people are insane. It is called media scrutiny. However annoying journalists can be, they were just doing their
Starting point is 00:30:10 job. You're also seeing the worst people in British society now completely rewrite the Jason Ardei story, saying that there was no evidence of any plagiarism. Like look at Narinda Kuh, no evidence of him doing anything wrong. This was simply a racist witch hunt, she says. It's a real tragedy Jason all day passed away But my reply to that is And I don't often swear, F off, F off, F off To everyone, stop with the gas-riding We know exactly what happened here
Starting point is 00:30:45 It was a racist, written You had no evidence of any kind of plagiarism Nothing about his exaggeration lies, whatever We know what happened That drove him to kill himself And a lot of people have blood on their hands Anyway, I'm not going to go into that. There is a virtual Trafalter Square on Monday, 6 o'clock,
Starting point is 00:31:05 where we remember the life of Professor Jason Orde. And we will not let go of what this media did. It is an absolute sick thing that the left do. They don't give a damn if someone from the right of politics is killed, is assassinated where there actually is someone to blame. but when someone from the left takes their own life, they say that those on the right have blood on their hands. So I've thought long and hard about the story over the week, and you can imagine I have very conflicting views on the whole thing. But who did I want to hear from? Well,
Starting point is 00:31:43 I wanted to hear from the woman who has actually been hunted down more, been subjected to more of a mainstream media witch hunt than anyone in modern history. I wanted to hear from her. I wanted to hear from Katie Hopkins, who posted the only way to survive a media pylon as knowing who you really are. If your life is a lie, you won't make it from a woman who knows. When devout skeptic replied the left, don't give a shit about pylons of people on the right, if Katie Hopkins or Lucy Connolly fell under a bust, they'd declare a national holiday. Katie added, The witch is dead. will trend once more. She then made this incredibly important and thoughtful video. Watch carefully. And it is absolutely true that the media pylon can be intense and push you to the very
Starting point is 00:32:41 limits of yourself and I think about so many times in my life whether it was being fired from LBC for a tweet of a show that I loved and the media reporting for everybody there cheered when news of my firing was announced, which was not true, but or when I was collapsed on the streets of South Africa with dislocated arms, I was given ketamine by the ambulance crews. And the Daily Mirror ran with the headline, Hopkins collapses from ketamine overdose, or being awarded the Cunt Award in front of 22 million people. And the whole world appearing to laugh at you because you were duped and made a day.
Starting point is 00:33:23 to look like a complete fool or a couple of jihadis coming to my house to chop my head off or being fired from every job I had or losing my home in a court battle because libel laws are now lower than my labia. I mean, any of the international level humiliations where the whole world was laughing at me called names, a monster, people believing that you're the worst person on the face of the planet. But Katie is very clear, and it's a lesson I've learned too. There is no good wanting sympathy. All of us have put ourselves out there, right? Watch. If you put yourself out there, you put yourself in the public eye. Not everyone's going to like what you do or what you say or what they believe to be true about you. And I say tough shit. You put yourself out there. You have to
Starting point is 00:34:18 sack it up. You want applaud it, so you want to be lauded as the the first young this or that will be a professor that will come with scrutiny. And you have to own all of it. The good, the bad, the ugly. And in my case, there's been a lot of ugly. And the second thing, and probably the most pertinent, there's nothing to do with me per se, which is the only way you survive 25 years of being richly humiliated at an international level is by knowing who you are. So for all the times I was called a drug addict or a monster or was persecuted or lost my homes, my jobs, wasn't allowed to even speak in my own country. For all those times, the only thing I had was knowing who I am and knowing I was none of the
Starting point is 00:35:14 things people said I was. I was just this, an ordinary wife, mum, former army officer, who wants to stand up for ordinary people who don't have a voice. And I don't ask to be agreed with. I don't ask to be liked. And I agree you have to suck it up when it doesn't go your way. And Katie was building to a fundamental point. Some people say this is insensitive, but actually it's the truth.
Starting point is 00:35:41 There was a fundamental difference between Katie Hopkins and Jason Arde. During that path, you may lose everything. You may lose the will to live. But if you know who you are and you are true to yourself and you know you're only trying to do the right thing, you can make it through. And I think that, that quiet knowing is actually the observation about Mr. Arde.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Because if you know who you are and you are actually a fraud, then you simply can't carry on. She is right. And again, I say that as someone who has been at the centre of a national, mainstream media witch hunt. It is incredibly tough. But if you know yourself and you know that you're right, you will fight on. One of the people who was in the middle of that witch hunt with me, Lawrence Fox, has made a very good point about this. Writing, I know exactly what it's like to have your career ended overnight. I know exactly what it's like to be at the center of a targeted and brutal onslaught designed to destroy one's life. I know exactly what it's like to feel like
Starting point is 00:36:59 there's no reason to carry on. I've been there. The very people who are the most vocal and morally virtuous in their horror about this entirely avoidable tragedy were the ones who continue to dance loudest on my grave. This awful event must be a wake-up call for any right-thinking person. Diversity kills, critical race theory kills, wokeism kills, we must reject this madness once and for all. But instead, what we have seen happen, and I am going to call this out now, is total 180s, okay, because this actually wasn't a right or left-wing story. Can I just get real about this for a second? We love liars and fantasists, right? Like, at the moment, do you see all of the coverage around Katie Price's, fantasist boyfriend, Walter Mitty-like boyfriend, Lee Andrews? Oh,
Starting point is 00:37:45 he's a white man. We're interested in that. The Tinder Swindler, remember that. People are fascinated. individuals who managed to lie about themselves to get to the top. It's really interesting. So this was not a left or a right-wing story. The left-wing media was all over it as well. As Basil the Great pointed out, I see an awful lot of lefters claiming it was the right-wing press who hounded Jason Adai to his death. But take a look at just some of the many articles written by The Guardian on this. You won't see them criticize that because it's just about political gain for them. And nothing makes me more angry than the rank hypocrisy of two organisations Channel 4 News and James O'Brien.
Starting point is 00:38:24 So first to James O'Brien, Paul Friend, posting, he thought I was someone who'd stick up for him. Instead, James O'Brien explained why he threw Cambridge Professor Jason our day under the bus because he'd been mugged off. Listen to the Weasel Reverse Ferreteen Monday. And Sandra Parker, who's a brilliant source on X, she basically spends her life just keeping James O'Brien honest, wrote, as James O'Brien gears up to blame the right-wing media for Jason R. Day's tragic death
Starting point is 00:38:54 and attempt to disassociate himself from any blame, remember that this is what he was openly saying on LBC only a week ago. On Tuesday, the 11th of August, as Nick Ferrari handed over to James O'Brien, James O'Brien joked with LBC listeners about how Jason Ardee had played him like a fiddle in his full disclosure podcast. James O'Brien is going to pretend he didn't do that. don't let him. Luckily, we've got all those receipts, watch. But it's more the personal contact that I've had with him subsequently that makes me feel like a mug. The fact that he thought I was someone that he might be able to persuade to stick up for him when he knew. He knew that he'd done wrong. Okay, so let's just get this right.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Our day was in contact with James O'Brien after the scandal broke, and James O'Brien told him to do one, told him to piss off, you're not going to treat me. me like a mug anymore. That's fine, but that is what happened. Yet this morning, this morning, did James O'Brien have any reference to any of that? No, no, no, no, no. He totally ignored the way he personally turned on our day. Watch. That we keep coming back to, and then it wouldn't have happened to a white, it just wouldn't happen to a white professor. And people can do with that. Well, you can disagree with me if you want, Ben, but I don't think that anybody who really understands
Starting point is 00:40:19 politics, let alone racial politics, can argue with that. Oh, no, I'm agreeing with you. I thought you would. I just didn't want to take that for granted. No way that this would have happened if it was... I mean, thinking of white people in the public eye who have been found to have plagiarized or to have embellished their CVs
Starting point is 00:40:40 or to have... And of course, he hasn't been found to have plagiarized, and that's why the story wouldn't go away. I think that must be where the gleeful. comes from. I don't know. I don't see quite where the gleefulness would come from unless somewhere deep inside, you felt that black people had no business being in those spaces. Then in the ultimate diversionary technique, he compared Jason R. Day to Megan Markle. And that is why the Megan Markle parallel is the one that is interesting, a very interesting one. So it's an utterly unhinged hatred
Starting point is 00:41:16 directed at someone. Why? Because she has the audacity as a woman of colour to infiltrate the highest bastions of white privilege, the actual royal family. And I think a Cambridge professorship, you know, historically, this is a university where you've still got people on the payroll defending slavery practically. How dare a white, how dare a black man. And then, of course, the two things becoming true at the same time kicks in, again, which is that when they started searching, they found stuff that needed to be accounted for. Now, James O'Brien, you're speaking rubbish, okay?
Starting point is 00:41:59 You're absolutely speaking rubbish. We all know that we all see you, and we all see the fact that in his hour of need, you were not there for Jason our day. I'm not blaming you for that, but don't cry racism now. And the other organisation that I want to specifically call out is Channel 4 News. It's race-baiting anchor Christian Guru Merti posted this. The disproportionate and bullying commentary and coverage of Jason Ardae's mistakes has been obviously dangerous for days. Yes, it was a legitimate story and in various ways a troubling one, but the relentless coverage, the vitriol and bile.
Starting point is 00:42:33 The clip of a man talking about us needing more love in the world endlessly mocked. Compare it to the way others who embellished and invented live stories or floated seemingly naive ideas are forgiven. Obviously, employers have duties of care, but spare us the pity of those who weaponised his story for social media clicks without a thought. Really? Really? Guess which news bulletin was running stories still attacking Jason Ardei after he had taken his own life? Yes, it was Channel 4 News introduced by Chief Correspondent Alex Thompson. Now, it is just over a week since Jason Rade, the former Cambridge University, professor resigned after allegations of plagiarism. Since then, more stories have emerged, questioning his backstory and asking how he was appointed to a professorship. But this program
Starting point is 00:43:24 can now reveal that Mr. Arde was in fact offered not one job by Cambridge, but two. From Cambridge, our correspondent, Kiram Moodie reports. A world-class institution finds itself adrift. Jason Arde was announced as a professor of education three years ago, but he recently resigned amidst allegations of plagiarism and questions about his academic credentials. He has always denied he is a liar or a fantasist. Cambridge University has begun an investigation into Arde's appointment. And in a letter to staff, the Vice-Chancellor said that this case was an aberration or one-off. But Channel 4 News can now reveal that Arde was interviewed for and offered not one professorship, but two.
Starting point is 00:44:05 So that's two separate panels of academics who determined that Ardee should be appointed here at the Faculty of Education. and that raises yet more questions about the hiring process. Now, by the way, I'm not saying none of this reporting was legitimate, but this reporting was going on after R.D. was dead. An Oxford academic even used to make it clear he had told lies. Arde's electors were completely mesmerized by his biography and panoply of lies he told about himself. And happily, these dovetailed with whatever broader ideas of diversity they had in mind.
Starting point is 00:44:40 and regrettably the upshot of his appointment is it's going to hurt a lot of black people in academia, it's going to hurt the university sector at large. So I put this to you. Channel 4 knew that this was a legitimate story. Channel 4 knew that Jason Ardei had been promoted because of the DEI agenda. But rather than stick to that,
Starting point is 00:45:01 they had to go down the Christian guru Merti Path and just 24 hours later had done what the left always does, rewrite history. With the same presenter Alex Thompson, and you're going to note this here, he took on a completely different tone. Good evening. The death of a young black Cambridge professor now casts a long shadow over all the universities involved in the controversy, which has now become a tragedy, with concerns around intense media scrutiny. Allegations against our day's work resurfaced recently when this former Cambridge researcher Nathan Kofnas published claims of plagiarism in the professor's work. Kofnas had his research role terminated over his views on diversity in 2024. He argued true meritocracy would push out black people in higher profile roles,
Starting point is 00:45:51 including Harvard professors, to zero. Arde then suffered a relentless campaign of coverage against him, with his stories making headlines around the world. There were articles asking questions about his life before academia. Was he really on a popular TV show, Seven Up? And how long did it really take him to run from Edinburgh to London for charity? The stories went deep into his personal life. In the last nine days, there was 188 newspaper articles about Jason Arde.
Starting point is 00:46:22 You do not see that same level of scrutiny, that same level of coverage about other cases of plagiarism, other cases of people exaggerating their CVs. Is it because he was a black professor? There was no doubt that the fact that he was a black man was a contributory factor, if not the major factor, as to why the coverage that he received and the coverage of the case he received. Some allege conservative figures are targeting black academics and a war on diversity. A relentless campaign of coverage are like the campaign of coverage on Channel 4 News. which then interviewed one of the country's biggest race baiters, the academic Cahendi Andrews, acting again as if they hadn't been part of the legitimate reporting about Jason Rade.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Reflection upon what is most important from your perspective as his friend. It has to be the fact that the Prime Minister is talking about Jason Radee. This is somebody who previously was completely unknown has become a household name because of a racist smear campaign from the right, which we should have pushed back on and said, This is a terrible story. But sadly, the rest of the media joined in, and now it's become, that's the story. How is the media reporting this?
Starting point is 00:47:42 How is the media allowing themselves to be led by these racist right-wing ideas? That's what the inquiry should be about. Okay, Indians. Thanks very much for your time. Appreciate it. Particularly now. Thank you. Did you hear Alex Thompson then?
Starting point is 00:47:53 So, indeed it is. You couldn't make it up. Actually, I want to show you what's going on here, though. They want to regulate the media. Zach Polanski, the Green Party leader, posting. See, any love to Jason Adelaide? family and friends. He was the subject of sustained and malicious media attacks, which were no doubt more vicious because he was black. We must now reflect on the impact of a trial by some of the media
Starting point is 00:48:14 and online on someone under extreme pressure. With the Mercyon news then revealing that the Green Party and Zach Polanski want the media to be regulated, all of the UK media to be regulated. For some though, it's just all about race baiting. like Zara Sultanah. Posting of Jason our day were a white middle class academic. He would not have been hounded by the British press in the way he was. My thoughts with his loved ones, may he rest in peace. Hmm, well, Jeremy Kaufman pointed out that in 2020, Mike Adams committed suicide after being cancelled and losing his job as a professor. Adams was never dishonest. All he did was say things like rioters are thugs and women's studies aren't essential. Even in death,
Starting point is 00:49:04 the media ran awful headlines like this. The professor who announced retirement after racist and sexist tweets died by suicide. Blake Neff, connected to Charlie Kirk, said that it was terrible that the likes of London Mercedes-Kahn are now trying to put the blame on Nathan Kofnass and the other journalists who played their part in exposing our day's lies. He argued we must reject this utterly. The people in institutions to blame for this tragedy of the University of Cambridge and other enablers who led our days spent years,
Starting point is 00:49:39 spitting a web of increasingly implausible lies until their exposure left him so ruined and humiliated he felt he had no choice but to end his own life. In doing this, they sabotaged the careers of other more worthy scholars and forced Cambridge students who thought they were attending a world-class university to study under a charlatan. They did all this because it allowed them to feel a smug superiority over others. They are the ones to blame for this and nobody else. Michael Schallenberger agreeing that the BBC is wrong to say the Jason R day death will send shockwaves to universities. He says it should send shockwaves through the media and the BBC because they promoted him, spread his misinformation and are to blame for his rise and fall. They must be held accountable.
Starting point is 00:50:25 And Tom Slater have spiked online pointing out, I see the Identitarian Left is suddenly horrified about public shaming even though they have spent years. ruining the lives of people who have done nothing wrong, who've said men can't become women or once shared an off-color joke, take no lectures from these ghouls. And trust me, I won't. YouTube sensation Leo Curse suggesting that in light of this new soft approach from the Bekind Left, he was looking forward to this new error of no hounding. I agree, maybe they should start with Tommy Robinson. But he then added, I have a nagging suspicion that the people who are condemning the hounding of Jason R day are themselves about to do an awful lot of hounding. And sure enough, within hours, there was the proof, another list of names, list of targets. Leo found himself
Starting point is 00:51:22 in one of those lists. And he added, let's check in on how the left's no hounding is going. And oh, apparently should have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my worthless life. So, Leo Curse, it has been extraordinary to watch all of this develop over the past three days. What I think we're seeing is a great deal of rewriting of history and also the left failing to acknowledge that if they want to stop witch hunts, Leo, then they also have to stop witch-hunts, Leo, then they also have to stop witch hunting those of us on the right, which they're never going to do. No, and people like you, people like Tommy Robinson suffer much more vociferous, nasty, spiteful witch hunts than Jason Arde was subjected to. I mean, I think it's a tragedy that Jason Ardea, well, assume he killed himself.
Starting point is 00:52:26 I guess we don't know the details yet. I mean, it's an absolute tragedy. He had children. And I just can't believe that somebody with children would do that. I've got children. And, you know, for me, the times, if I want to switch off from the outside world, from Twitter, like Twitter and the media and everything like that isn't the real world. The real world is sitting on the living room floor playing with my kids. And that's what's real.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Everything else is just noise and distraction. So it's a shame, you know, it's a real shame that Jason Ardey isn't going to be able to do that anymore. But the reaction from the left, who have been coming after people with such absolute energy and bile for so long and genuinely bullying people to death and genuinely causing people to be assassinated. Look at Charlie Kirk. Look at Anne Whitakum. These assassinations don't happen in a vacuum. They happen in a context where the target has been completely dehumanized.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Nobody on the right was doing that to Jason Ardeh. We all found it amusing. And I personally thought that Jason Ardey had a fantastic career ahead of him. He could be the person. I mean, his memoirs were going to sell so many copies. He said himself, he got a huge advance from him. so his financial future seemed assured. And he could have toured speaking about how he was the man who exposed the idiocy of DEI,
Starting point is 00:54:04 the idiocy of these woke institutions that propelled him up the ranks purely on the basis of his identity, of his skin color, of his neurodivergence, and created this character that was bound to come tumbling, down at some point. It's a real shame he didn't, you know, see that. We've seen other people on the left. Remember, Jussie Smollett, who accused people of, he accused Trump supporters of attacking him. It turned out he'd actually staged the whole thing. He paid these two Nigerian brothers, like actual brothers, I'm not using 70s vernacular. He paid these two Nigerian guys to pretend to attack him and he said they sprayed him with bleach and they were wearing MAGA hats and they put a noose around his neck and it was all concocted.
Starting point is 00:54:56 But he's had this redemption arc. And I think, you know, Jason Ardei, his crimes were obviously much less felonious than that. And he was a much more likable person. I think he would have, he would have had a genuinely glittering future ahead of him. So it's a real shame that he's gone.
Starting point is 00:55:14 But for the left to turn around and to act as if people on the right killed him. Nobody in the right killed him. He killed himself. And also, he was killed. if anything, the conditions for his death were created by the fact that woke people had elevated him to an untenable position. And he was bound to come crashing down at some point. If Cambridge had done their work properly, if they'd questioned his achievements,
Starting point is 00:55:42 if any of the criticism of him had been listened to sooner, he wouldn't have been elevated to such a level. And it wouldn't have been such a crash for him to come down. No, indeed. And look, Leo, race is clearly part of the story from the DEI perspective. But I put it to you, Leo, that actually if Jason Arde, so I guess I'm going directly encounter to what the likes of Zara Sultanah are saying, I put it to you that if Jason Ardei had been a white middle class academic of the same age, who had been subjected to a
Starting point is 00:56:23 massive plagiarism investigation. I mean, you can look for yourself. You can look at his explanation. Yourself, I went back over the weekend. I looked all of the plagiarism claims. I read his interview with The Times. I think there'd be interest in that story. But Leo, you know what the media is like. When this story caught on, it actually wasn't because of the DEI stuff. It was because of all of the other fantastical claims in this guy's life. Like when he appeared on surprise, surprise, on ITV. And all that. of a sudden what, he was running 30 marathons and 30 days with a broken leg. He claimed to have appeared on 7-Up, you know, that very, very famous Granada media show that was made decades
Starting point is 00:57:06 before he was born. I'm sorry, Leo, this was a story either way in the same way that Katie Price's boyfriend, Lee Andrews, is currently a story. It was just fantastical. Now, yes, once you add in the DEI element and the fact that Cambridge University was clear, putting this guy on a pedestal unnecessarily because of his ethnicity, then yes, there is a bigger story. But I really genuinely do believe, as someone who's pretty good on picking up on what stories engaged with the public, this would have been the story even if he were white. Absolutely. Absolutely. In fact, he would have been treated much more harshly if he was white, as we've seen with other academics who are white. Like Mike Adams, the American academic who committed
Starting point is 00:57:51 suicide after being hounded over, I mean, it was over jokes that he'd made, really flimsy comments that everybody makes, you know, in private chats and things like that. And also we've got to remember that Jason Arde, you know, I mean, I pretend myself that he was some kind-hearted, naive, you know, fellow who was amiable and kind to everybody. And that's just not the truth. He reported a journalist to the police for racially aggravated harassment for asking legitimate questions, doing his job as a journalist, investigating the plagiarism claims. He accused other people of various things. He used accusations of racism. He used a top law firm Carter Ruck to silence the Times Educational Supplement from. running a story that turned out to be very legitimate. So, you know, he wasn't, he wasn't, you know, some kind, kindly person who only did, you know,
Starting point is 00:58:57 pleasant things. He subjected people to pretty horrific things. I mean, being reported to the police must have been horrible for that, for that journalist. Imagine if that journalist had found it a horrible accusation and it had then committed suicide, you know, it's, we can't, we can't put the blame for, for everything that happens on pre-existing things that people do. So, yeah, I mean, we've got to remember that side of the story as well. Well, indeed, as Katie Hopkins said, actually, probably in reality,
Starting point is 00:59:32 and I do say this for deep humanity, Jason Rade couldn't deal with the fact that he was a fraud, whereas when the mob were coming for me and were trying to cancel me, I knew they were lying. I knew they were pushing forward false accusations. I knew there was a market for what I was trying to do on GB News and that I would be okay outside of GB News and in the independent media. And, you know, look, you can compare different things.
Starting point is 00:59:57 But on the day when I was sent home from GB News and suspended and was probably, you know, at the lowest place I've ever been in my life, that night, news night dedicated their entire show to the downfall of me and Lawrence Fox and had a whole load of, big names on, like Adam Bolton, saying these two should never work again. Well, what am I going to do? What am I going to do with the rest of my life? What am I going to do with the rest of my life? I'm a 42-year-old, very, very passionate guy. So the point being, I think Katie Hopkins is right on this. And I think the reason probably that Jason Rade couldn't go on is because he knew he had conducted this fraud. But
Starting point is 01:00:42 in saying that, and I do think this is a difference between us, I do not celebrate this in the way that the left so ridiculously and disgustingly celebrated the murders of Charlie Kirk and Wittaker. I refuse to do that. I do believe it as a tragedy. I will cover it honestly, and I'm not going to pussyfoot around it simply because Jason R. Day is now dead in the way that James O'Brien or Channel 4 News are. But it is a tragedy, as Learie. You think about the children, you think he should have above all else, thought, well, I will continue to be a dad to those kids. Breaking today, the new prime minister humiliated, caught in his own swindle about Donald Trump, this massive prank. Not a prank, by the way, put forward by Donald Trump, but rather the hacker of his chief of staff, Susan Wilde, who,
Starting point is 01:01:42 Burnham was irresponsibly messaging as if it was the real lady. All of this revealed by Politico today with a story headline, Burnham exchange messages with impersonator of Tom Trump aid. Their report reads, he engaged with messages from somebody impersonating one of Trump's closest advisors four officials have told Politico. The new PM communicated with someone posing as White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, becoming suspicious that the contact was illegitimate the officials said. Downing Street would only say
Starting point is 01:02:19 we do not comment on national security matters. One person briefed on the communication said a few messages were exchanged after the PMN to number 10, but insisted they were of no significance. The British Embassy in Washington was so concerned about the incident that it raised it with the White House, two of the officials said. Like others in this article, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a matter of national security. Inside the UK government, there were fears that Wiles' phone had been hacked again. The White House declined to comment. Last year, the White House and the FBI launched an investigation after senators' governors and U.S. business executives received texts and phone calls from someone claiming to be Trump's
Starting point is 01:02:56 chief of staff, so Burnham really should have known better. The Wall Street Journal reported that Wiles told associates her cell phone contacts had been hacked. What was discussed in the exchange with Burnham and when the messages were sent is unclear, but the erroneous contact kept a closely guarded secret. Burnham became PM on July the 20th, but it was clear he was on course to succeed. Kirstama from the moment he won the Makerfield by-election on June the 18th. And what was interesting to me is that the tone of the MSM on this from Wokey TV and Carl Dinnon at the Reform UK press conference earlier was if this is more of a joke rather than a serious national security incident, I think Richard Tice, the deputy leader, was able to reveal the significance. Following the news
Starting point is 01:03:43 that the Prime Minister has been exchanging texts with someone pretending to be Susie Wiles. Have either of you ever found yourselves talking to someone who's not who they pretended to be? Don't know, Richard, you had that situation. The answer to the latter is the easy one. No, but the Prime Minister's experience is probably an example of, just make sure. It is actually genuinely an issue of scammers across all walks of life now. People have to be careful. And I suspect we all get texting. who's this, what's this, are we sure? But I'm sorry, Leo, curse,
Starting point is 01:04:17 this isn't some type of human interest story, woke ITV. Oh, we've all been caught by a scammer or a spammer. You know, like the banks trying to phone us. Fuck off, this is the new prime minister, potentially spilling saint's secrets. I'm sorry, Leo, I am just so sick of the two-tier nature of coverage. Just imagine, Leo, if Boris Johnson or Liz Truss or Rishi Suber. had done this in their first week of being Prime Minister, it would be a national scandal.
Starting point is 01:04:48 This is a national scandal, but once again, the running cover for the Prime Minister. I'm sorry, Leo, there should be demands to know what was discussed. What was discussed? Is our safety at threat? I mean, if they're talking about the nuclear code, we need to know. Yeah, this is calamitous for Andy Burnham. I think the mainstream media are trying to put a little spin on it, because obviously they're on the side of the establishment. but we know, we know, and thanks to social media, we can all discuss it. And thanks to shows like this, we can talk about it.
Starting point is 01:05:20 We know that this is catastrophic for Andy Burnham. This is a very new in role. And, you know, the first thing you want to do when you come in as a prime minister or a president or some kind of leader is you've got to show strength and you've got to show competence. Now, Andy Burnham has abandoned any idea of showing either of those. And instead is focused on being a chummy, sort of, oh, likable guy who is dead normal and you could go to the pub with and he listens to the stone roses when he's jogging and all the rest of it. Nobody really cares. That'll do you for a few weeks. That likability will do you for a few weeks. And then people are going to be like, well, what's this guy actually like as a leader? And so far, we've seen this terrible policy of prison releases, releasing people who've committed manslaughter, releasing sex. offenders to make way for political prisoners, no doubt, to make way for people who have tweeted something that Labor don't like, like Jamie Michael, who was reported by a Labor politician. So, you know, that's calamitous. And then this, you know, this is one of these instances.
Starting point is 01:06:31 We've got an entire security apparatus around the government. Everything's vetted. Calls come in. I mean, I was, I've been privy to parts of it as a national security. consultant working for BA systems and DETICA. So it's not as if he doesn't have the tools and resources around him to make sure that people are who they say they are. I mean, for God's sake, I know when I get a phone call from Microsoft support to how to check that it's Microsoft support, you know, the guy who's running the actual country instead of just running a household somewhere in the English countryside should definitely, should definitely know how to do that. So, yeah, this is a real, you know, as much as the mainstream media might try and, might try and just fob this off and smooth over it, this is calamitous for Andy Burnham.
Starting point is 01:07:18 He could be, he could be made a fool of and exposed. And, you know, with serious ramifications so early into his premiership. Yeah, 100%. I mean, because Leo, the thing is, it was known that Susie Weil's phone had been subjected to hacks. And so if he had a team worth half their salt And remember, these are now the people who were in charge of our country I mean, it was probably bloody Louise Haig. Now, you'd think Louise Haig knew a thing or two about phones, right? Given she's a convicted phone theft, the new deputy prime minister, effectively.
Starting point is 01:07:53 But seriously, you would imagine Andy Burnham Leo would have been saying at least to Louise Haig, one of his most senior aides. Oh, I mean, this is good, you know, I'm in communication with Susie Wiles. you know, they're interested in me, they're liking me. And at that point, alarm bells should have been raised, and immediately a formal process should have been followed. But I think you're completely right, Leo. This is a team surrounding Andy Burden that has been all about vibes,
Starting point is 01:08:22 that has been all about making funny social media videos and really leaning into this idea that he's like the new David Brent, and he's really likable and all of that. And actually, it's leaving this country, exposed. And it sickens me that the mainstream media who have been so tough on politicians, Leo, in other, I mean, look, whatever we think about the Nigel Farage situation, they are on him, right? They are completely on him. Well, he's not Prime Minister yet, okay? Maybe one day he will be. They are on him. Why aren't you on Burnham? You are literally
Starting point is 01:08:55 giving this bloke a total free ride. And Leo, it's exactly what they did to Slippri Stama and that backfired too, didn't it? Because actually, Eventually, it all crumbles, even without the mainstream media scrutiny. And we saw it with Joe Biden as well. Remember the mainstream media fawning over Joe Biden eating an ice cream. And we could all see. Every normal person could see. Wait, this guy doesn't seem to be in full grasp of his physical and mental faculties.
Starting point is 01:09:29 So, yeah, I think we'll see the Bonhamie, the good vibes. quickly leave the Burnham Premiership. And I think we'll see the wheels come off pretty quickly. We've seen before when parties start cycling through leaders, it's usually a recipe for disaster. The comedians are at war about the future of British politics, with Dom Jolly in the blue corner and John Cleese in the red corner. I know who I would back.
Starting point is 01:10:03 This is all over the growing split on the British Ruff. right between Reform UK and Restore Britain, with increasing frustration that the mainstream media is not understanding what is really going on. Basil the Great pointing out that John Cleese has said the real reason the Daily Telegraph newspapers attacking Restore Britain is because they're worried when reform collapses their voters will support Rupert Lowe instead of Kemi Badernock. Father Calvin Robinson adding, this is the op. Baraj does what he has done time and time again, acts as a pressure valve for the right. He gains the populist right vote, creates a deal with the Tories,
Starting point is 01:10:51 then steps aside at the last minute, leaving his voters to return to the Tory party. People never learn. Now, that's in contrast to some of the more mainstream comedians, Case in Point Dom Jolly, who has dismissed Reform UK as grifters and racist while describing Rupert Lowe, or dismissing Rupert Lowe, I guess you would say, is just, you know, just your mad uncle, your mad uncle down the pub. The online social sphere reform is seen us to, like Torrey Light.
Starting point is 01:11:26 They are now seeing... A reformer, a bunch of failed corrupt... Tories with a sprinkling of grifters and a couple of racists. But they're now seen as quite centric. Yeah, that's what's terrible. Because Restore and Rupert Lowe is. Yes, Rupert Lowe's a one-man-twent. I mean, it's like, I don't think Rupert Lowe, I mean, Rupert Lowe is just like some mad, great-uncle you meet in the pub in the Cotswolds who's drunk a bottle of gin.
Starting point is 01:11:46 I mean, who cares what Rupert Lowe think. Well, lots of people do, including John Cleese, who is increasingly spreading the Rupert-Loe message and interestingly has even turned on his most recent embers. employer G.B. News over their ongoing ban of having Rupert Lowe on the channel. And yeah, it is interesting, isn't it? The John Clee's sort of journey from the hard left, byline times, Hugh Grant, you know, hacked off, all of that stuff to restore Britain and Rupert Lowe is an interesting journey. But what he's done is cut out in the middle, the path that many of us, I guess, Trott, which is to almost go to Reform UK as a bit of a gateway drug. And increasingly, that does seem to be being ruled out with Nigel Farage's increasing
Starting point is 01:12:40 unpopularity after the Clacton by election, something that has been capitalised on by the gruesome James O'Brien. It's not for the first time that things feel more psychological than political with regard to reform UK, British politics in general. and Nigel Farage in particular, you can't be anything other than embarrassed today by your previous support for him. And there are two ways of responding to that embarrassment.
Starting point is 01:13:06 You either double down and lash out, which is lucky, because I'm here, to be lashed at, or you just sort of quietly detach yourself from the whole thing and pretend it never happened. I don't know that there's a third option. If there is, feel free to enlighten me, but there is nothing about beating a bin in a by-election that you claim to have called in order to prove
Starting point is 01:13:29 that the establishment were conspiring against you, but the establishment didn't even turn up to the so-called establishment, you know, the former city trader, public schoolboy, 30-40-year career politician claiming to be an anti-establishment outsider. That shtick failed a long time ago. But again, you already know that. You know he's about as anti-establishment as the Duke of Edinburgh. So you've already priced in that nonsense and stayed on board.
Starting point is 01:13:56 So who gets off board today? Who actually hops off the bus today? Because he's embarrassed you. Well, look, you know I have no truck for James O'Brien. But what is interesting, I think, is that increasingly more and more people are stepping off the Reform UK bus. And that is just me being honest. And what they're doing is turning to Rupert Lowe and Restore Britain,
Starting point is 01:14:20 which has become much more palatable for many with mainstream figures like John Cleese supporting it. The big problem that I have in this whole war, and regular viewers will know this, is that I keep on seeing Reform UK proxies or Reform UK allies or paid shields. However you want to put it, Reform UK supporters in the mainstream conservative media, specifically the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, GB News and Talk TV telling lies. and that's what I don't like because the lies make the debate dishonest.
Starting point is 01:14:55 What they're effectively trying to tell you is that Restore Britain are so extreme, so extreme that they are the comparable of neo-Nazis. They are like the 1930s fascist black shirts and as a result, of course you can't be supporting them. And I mean, the translation, by the way, it's not only you cannot be supporting them,
Starting point is 01:15:13 but maybe they should be taken out. You know, they're actually making Restore Britain supporters and members and high-profile politicians, a security threat, I would argue. And a lot of this has exploded over the past few weeks between Alex Phillips, who is the talk TV presenter very, very close to Nigel Farge. She has very publicly denied any type of romantic affair and been unhappy about the fact that Rupert Lowe seemed to suggest that during an interview hereon outspoken, and Connor Tomlinson, who is actually not even a member of Restore Britain, and has been pretty supportive in recent weeks of Reform UK,
Starting point is 01:15:52 but has been standing up for the sort of young lads and the Restore Britain camp, the likes of Charlie Downs. And one of the sort of rouse that erupted, right, was over whether Alex Phillips had attended Connor Tonnes's wedding. And that doesn't matter, okay? For people who say I care about that, that doesn't matter. Like, of course I care about that, thinking about Connor, you know, he's paid for someone to come to his winning.
Starting point is 01:16:13 It's not about that, though, is it? It's about lies. and it's about are you telling the truth? Can you believe what Alex Phillips and Adine Dorees are telling you about Restore Britain and the secret deal with the Conservative Party and the fact that they're neo-Nazis? My argument is no. And I want to show you one video that I think proves it because during her conversation on her talk TV show about our coverage of this story, Alex Phillips described Connor Tomlinson as someone who she barely knows. So that's the reason she didn't go to his wedding, right? She was invited to me. She doesn't know. the guy? Well, I've found receipts that prove Alex Phillips never used to say that. Watch. It's like, I didn't go to the wedding because I didn't really know the man that much. It was a wedding that happened a year ago. Someone that I barely knew and I didn't go because my employer said, we really need you to work. That is what happened. Why this ended up being, you know, Dan Woodson doing shows on here and things going viral and like, it's like, why have you
Starting point is 01:17:14 gone, like, weird? that I'm joined in the studio by a man I absolutely adore. He's a very dear friend of mine, Conner Tomlinson. Okay. So Leo Curse. There's a lot to think of out on here, okay? But I'm just saying I don't actually want to, I like Alex Phillips. I want Alex Phillips on this show.
Starting point is 01:17:33 I want her debating Connor Tomlinson on this show. I'm just saying how do you go from dear friend, someone who I love, to someone I barely know. I'm just pointing that out because if I'm just pointing that out, because if I'm I was caught out in a lie like that. I would expect to be exposed and I would expect people not to trust what I was saying on other issues connected to the party so seriously. But what do you make of the fact, Leah, because you're obviously a comedian and a very prominent social commentator and news guy now with your own independent YouTube channel. What do you think about the fact that we now have these comics getting involved? Like John Cleese entrance into the war on the right, we now have
Starting point is 01:18:11 John Cleese posting on X quite regularly about the sort of intricacies of this battle between Restore Britain, including by the way, about whether Alex Phillips went to the wedding. He's actually posted about that. Compared to, I guess, and you will describe it better than me, but the more traditional comedian and Dom Jolly, who still feels like, oh, he's been a bit edgy because he's going on the Andrew Gold podcast, you know, which is a little bit non-mainstream media, but still has to go on and say, reformer full of racists and grifters and, you know, Rupert Lowe is just that twunk, drunk man down, down the pub. It's very interesting to me to see the comedians coming into this battle of the right. What do you make of it? What do you make of it, Leo?
Starting point is 01:19:02 Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it? I mean, for a start, John Cleese's journey from the left to the right has been fascinating. I'm sure it was just a couple of months ago. He was, He was retweeting Carol Cadwaller and was firmly sort of, you know, on that side of things. And now he's he's tweeting for Rupert Lowe, which, I mean, it's great to see. It's great to see somebody have a political awakening like that. But I think with comedy, when you're a comedian, you have this, you're constantly analyzing society, constantly analyzing what's going on. You're really thinking about things and digging behind them so you can find the funniness, find any hypocrisies, any extremes.
Starting point is 01:19:49 And so that lends itself to actually, you know, finding out what's going on and having an opinion on it and maybe having something funny to say about it. So we see an awful lot of comedians become political commentators. I mean, in this country we've got Paul Cox, who's on Alex Phillips show in the clip there, Nick Dixon, Simon Evans. There's Josh Howie on GB News.
Starting point is 01:20:11 Andrew Doyle, of course, one of the big ones, Graham Linehan. Graham Linehan is now, you know, hugely involved in politics and sort of cultural commentary. So usually, you know, comedians, when they fully, you know, go for it, end up on the right because that's where reality is. And comedy is essentially obsessed with reality because a joke is a truth that you recognize, but you haven't been told. That's essentially what a lot of jokes are. What's interesting is people like Dom Jolly
Starting point is 01:20:46 and lots of other people that are mainstream comedians will still be rabbiting the woke lines that they probably know are a load of nonsense, calling reform racist. I mean, for a start, what does that even mean? What does racist mean now? I've seen everything called racist. It's a meaningless term.
Starting point is 01:21:02 You've got to stop throwing it around like confetti at the wedding. It just means nothing anymore. And instead of saying racist, why don't you say what the person's done that's wrong? Because I see people getting called racist without anybody saying what they've actually done this wrong. What if they're racist and they're correct? What if, you know, I see Nathan Koffness being called racist
Starting point is 01:21:22 for his claims. But then you look into the claim to it's like, wait a minute, this guy's right. So, you know, I don't know, I just think we need to stop. Because he was the first to expose Jason Rade. Yeah, but Dom Jolly and these other comedians who are still on the left, they know what's paying their bills,
Starting point is 01:21:38 where they're getting their money from. They want their next Channel 4 series or BBC appearances. So they will say what keeps them employed on the BBC and on Channel 4, which I guess people like me, Nick Dixon, we've got the luxury of not caring about that. So, Leo, you did enter this debate, though, the whole very toxic restore Britain debate yourself over the past week. And it's been pretty interesting to watch,
Starting point is 01:22:08 actually, because you're making the point that actually you are someone who you might describe as a Zionist. You're certainly on the side of that group of politics. But actually, the criticisms of Restore Britain, which seem very hypocritical when they come from the likes of Melanie Phillips, right, who says that, you know, a Jewish homeland has to be the number one priority for anyone who is Jewish, and, you know, it's absolutely not racist to say so, but at the same time, as saying that Restore Britain are full of racist because they believe in a homeland for the white English people.
Starting point is 01:22:52 You've had quite an interesting take on this, which is basically like people like Melanie Phillips are actually playing into the hands of the anti-Semites. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. And the criticism that Melanie Phillips has of people like Connor Tomlinson, for example, or Charlie Downs or Rupert Lowe, like Conor Tomlinson, Charlie Downs, Rupert Lowe, and probably me and you as well, just want what Israel has. You know, the idea of Zionism is the idea that essentially the people have a
Starting point is 01:23:25 country, a country exists, and the people have a right to that country and a right to self-determination in that country. And we know there's a, you know, a continuity of people in Britain that goes back centuries, goes back millennia. We know there's a sort of ethnic link, you know, a peoplehood basis for Britishness. But Melanie Phillips
Starting point is 01:23:48 insists that, you know, British people don't exist as a ethnic group or as a people. And so anybody who comes to Britain just has to have values. Britain is a values-based zone, apparently. So anybody who comes to Britain just has to have
Starting point is 01:24:04 the right value. So that Eritrean who raped pensioner outside of church, he could have the right values and be completely British. And we, in fact, we could bring the entirety of Eritrea to Britain. And if they had the right values, it would just be, they would just be British too. We know that this is a nonsense. If you brought the entirety of Eritrea to Britain, it doesn't matter what values they've got. It would be a very different country. So all the people on the right really want, and the people that are being called racist,
Starting point is 01:24:32 the people that are being called, you know, despicable ethno-fascists and all the rest of it. All they really want is what Melanie Phillips wants for Israel. And that's a discordancy there. There's such a hypocrisy going on there. And it's becoming so obvious. And I'm a huge supporter of Israel, huge supporter of, you know, British Jews. I've got lots of, lots of Jewish friends. Finally enough, all my Jewish friends, you know, they also think that Britain should have, you know,
Starting point is 01:24:59 the equivalent of Zionism for Britain. I don't know why all these, you know, kind of discord and hypocritical duplicitous, lefty Jewish voices are the ones that are promoted in newspapers and in the mainstream press. Yeah, very good question, Leo, very good question. Look, do stand by because we're about to reveal our greatest Britain and Union Jackass. First, I just want to get to your superchats today, though. Craig Lee NUFC says state policy that ends in a citizen's death. is Demaside.
Starting point is 01:25:33 MS Coral Jade on the whole issue of Jason R. Day says the ones crying for this fraudster's death are the same ones who danced on Anne Whitakam's death. Rest in peace, Anne Whitakum, you were a national treasure. Mirror 8-933 says the mainstream media are the number one enemy of the British people. They need to be defeated for Britain to thrive again. I mean, I couldn't agree more. Viper 4XX says they want. never stop with the racism ticket, no matter how much you give them. And Wilson 5339 says,
Starting point is 01:26:07 so if a white person was caught out line and took his own life, would the leftards be up in arms? Thought not. And Kath Lever says, Jason Arde lied about his life and got find out. His lies caught up with him and he couldn't cope with his humiliation. Okay, a reminder of your Union Jackass nominees. Leo has gone for Prince Harry for stopping the funding of Centre Bali and Dweena Curry for suggesting that a village, Hittington, this is, about to host a massive migrant camp needs, brothels. He says, may I suggest we return the migrants instead. And I nominated Christian Guru Merti of Channel 4 News for his hypocrisy over the Jason Arday story. Well, in third position, it's Prince Harry with 26% of the vote.
Starting point is 01:26:50 I'm the runner up with 33% of the vote in Christian Guru Mertie, but the worst Britain in the world today with 41% those comments from Edwina Curry still resonated. all these days later. And Leo, you're also going to nominate for our Greatest Britain today. Yeah, so the Greatest Britain is Kelly J. Keene, who is apparently being investigated by the police over comments she made at the Unite the Kingdom rally. I think a lot of people at the rally would agree with it.
Starting point is 01:27:19 It was around Islamism, the threat of Islamism in the UK and the need for Islamism to be kept out of British institutions, which I think a lot of people in the Gulf. states already do this and they've got experience of Islamism firsthand and they would advise Britain to do the same. So, you know, what's good for the United Arab Emirates is to keep them a functioning society is probably good for us. And I think it's ridiculous that Kelly J. Keene is being investigated, you know, as a criminal, as a criminal issue over making some comments that are probably common sense and most people would agree with. Leo Kirst, thank you so much for being here.
Starting point is 01:27:59 great nomination. Do make sure you subscribe to Leo's incredible channel. It is just Leo Curse on YouTube. Thank you so much, Leo. And by the way, we are actually heading over to Substack. Now, for the Royal Uncancelled Uffshire, we're going to be discussing that story that Leo nominated Prince Harry for. I'm teaming up with P. Diner. This is about the Centa Bali charity. Really shocking story. Harry diverting that money from Princess Dina as part of his vengeance plot against Dr. Sophie Dandoki. You can join us there at W. www.outspoken. Live. But if not, I will thank you right now for your company today.
