Starting point is 00:00:00 No spin, no bias, no censorship. I'm Dan Wooden. This is outspoken episode number 549. Rod Little. A giant in common sense British commentary and broadcasting, and for a very special time for me, an uncanceled regular on my old GBM News show, has died today, aged just 66. This is something that our country desperately didn't need. We will pay tribute to this question. great man later in the show. But breaking today, the truth about Rupert Lowe's bid to reunite with Nigel Farage and bring together Reform UK and restore Britain in a working relationship to save the disunited kingdom will be revealed, as Rupert gives his first interview about the astonishing developments over the last 24 hours, including a three-word text message from Nigel, and this bombshell press conference earlier today.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I did actually reach out back yesterday to him. I did say, look, should we have a call? I haven't heard back yet. So I don't know what the sincerity of this is. I could see a situation where restore without the hope of winning anything outside Great Yarmouth. I mean, literally without a hope of winning a single seat in the country could do us great harm.
Starting point is 00:01:31 I finalise that by saying if it wasn't, If it was the offer of a deal, it came in a very unusual way. I have responded to it potentially, you know, with an open mind. If there is a greater good to be had from that, that I'm not closing my mind to it. My feelings towards Rupert are not remotely relevant relative to the fate of the country and the millions, tens of millions of British people around this country. So, is this just a PR stunt? And what's the truth about the rumoured fallout with the Conservative Party?
Starting point is 00:02:04 Rupert Lowe will reveal all exclusively, hereon outspoken imminently, then Lauren the insider responds. Also coming up today. A stampede at a Ghana party in Sadiq Khan's Lawless and Islamist London proves that cultural enrichment is just a myth. We will show you the shocking footage that the MSM is disgracefully ignoring. And Holly Willoughby's YouTube disaster implodes, as she admits she's too nervous to speak the truth for fear of cancellation. We're going to reveal the lies the MSM star has told to try and launch independently. Then we move over to Substack for the Royal Uncanceled Aftershow, where Prince Harry's Daily Mail disaster has just been exposed as the biggest legal scandal in history. We'll also reveal today's greatest Britain and Union Jackass at the end of the show.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Our nominees today. Holly Willoughby, a forementioned, nominated by Lauren the inside of having the opportunity to break free from controlled propaganda and still deciding to go for money over morals. Prince Harry, nominated by me for his lame rehabilitation campaign being pushed by the Daily Mirror and the rest of the MSM. and Sarah White, the independent journalist who will be here tomorrow, has nominated Zia Yusuf for turning up in Ciuta, just like politicians do, but leaving before the reality on the ground unfolded. She says if you're going to report on a crisis, you need to witness the whole picture, not just the part that makes the headline.
Starting point is 00:03:44 So three interesting choices today. You can get voting in the live chat on YouTube. But now, let's go. in our time? Or a ruthless publicity stunt designed as a knockout blow to Nigel Farage when the Reform UK leader is already on the ropes. I will ask Rupert Lowe when he joins us for an exclusive interview imminently. But how did we get to a potential restore Britain deal with Reform UK so soon? Not surprisingly, given Elon Musk's massive support for the party, it started with a video on X.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Nigel. When we were both elected at the general election in July 2024, the five of us all knew that we had achieved something truly remarkable through starting the process of breaking the
Starting point is 00:04:45 two-party system that has strangled and suffocated Britain for so very long. It was a special moment and it was an honour to walk into that building as part of our group of five MPs. I treasured that then,
Starting point is 00:05:02 and despite everything, I still treasure it today. However, now in 2026, we're in a very different place. The landscape has changed dramatically. Our differences over the last 18 months are well documented. I do not agree with how you remove me from reform, but let's not read it. recycle those same arguments again and again. I want to move past that. So I think we can all agree. A potential seismic olive brunch, given that exit, had involved Zeeuuf attempting to send Rupert Lowe
Starting point is 00:05:39 to prison. But there would be conditions. If we agree on five fundamental principles, then I believe we can, should and must find a way of working together in some form. to make it a reality. Reform has taken a path that has moved its core offering away from what I believe is necessary to restore our country. On many issues, we agree. On others, we do not.
Starting point is 00:06:14 But I'm hopeful that a common way forward can be found and forged. But any agreement or cooperation must be based on. the following values, policies and vision. First, restoring our borders, ending mass immigration is not enough. The hour is just too late for that. It must be reversed. Some of the red lines, however more controversial, especially a call for a death penalty referendum. Third, a referendum on restoring the death penalty. Axel Ruder-Cabana, Hashim Abadi,
Starting point is 00:07:03 Shabir Ahmed. Keeping these monsters alive and hundreds just like them achieves nothing. The British people must be given a full, free and fair referendum on the reintroduction of the death penalty for the most monstrous and undeniable criminals. You have opposed this previously, and that is why letting the British people decide is the right thing to do. I will in that referendum, without a shadow of a doubt, be voting in favour. However, the biggest red line causing issues was his call to ban. Tory converts to reform like Suella Braverman, and Robert Generic from any future reform restore government. Former Conservative ministers who failed our country and our people in so many appalling ways
Starting point is 00:08:01 must not be part of any future cabinet. They had their chance and they failed us all. That must not be rewarded with a second opportunity. But do not mistake the fact that after months and indeed years, of terrible mud throwing, including, by the way, remember, briefing to me that Rupert Lowe had dementia, this was a highly personal shift too. So Nigel, my message is simple. If you are prepared to work together around serious policies, serious reform and serious government,
Starting point is 00:08:45 then so are we. not because it's politically convenient for restore Britain, not because it's personally easy. After the events of the last 18 months, I would certainly rather not be making this offer. In my view, failing to even try because of our own personal difficulties is simply not an option.
Starting point is 00:09:11 The British people deserve nothing less than our best and sincere efforts to make it happen. Now is the time to put our differences aside and cooperate for the good of the country that we all love. Now finally, that offer of a deal saw Rupert Lowe cut through to the MSM.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And we have the news that Rupert Lowe, the leader of Restore Britain, has made an offer to Nigel Farage the leader of Reform UK, to work together, to collaborate, to do some kind of deal to save Britain. And what was interesting is that almost immediately Nigel texted Rupert three words, will call later. But then something happened because Nigel Farage didn't call. Rupert Lowe was waiting for the call all day, yet instead Farage issued what was really a merely mouthed post on X, not naming Rupert or Restore Britain at all, before holding a press conference today where he claimed the desire for a deal was because of some sort of fallout between Rupert and the Conservative Party. On the Rupert Lowe stuff, well, my understanding is that he had a bit of a fallout last week with the Conservatives.
Starting point is 00:10:48 You know, he'd been working quite closely with for some time. You know, he said that he had a deal with the Conservatives, and Kemi Badnox said they had an arrangement. I don't know what that was. My understanding is there was a bit of a fallout. No, look, I mean, if you want to do a political deal with somebody, you know, you would contact them privately and not do a 12-minute video. That said, I did actually reach out back yesterday to him. I did say, look, should we have a call? I haven't heard back yet.
Starting point is 00:11:22 So I don't know what the sincerity of this is. But it seemed to me that he was sort of, more than anything, perhaps putting out this gesture, saying, look, I'm the good guy, Nigel's the bad guy. Well, that's not the case. If you look at my history, you know, in politics over the last few years, I am prepared to do things that make sacrifices if I believe it's in the national interest. I certainly did that in 2019. I would do whatever I could for us to have a sane centre-right alliance that beat Labour at the next general election.
Starting point is 00:11:59 But I don't ditch my friends. I don't ditch my allies, whether that's Suella Braberman or Posh George, You know, I do not ditch people because somebody else wants me different. So that line was important because what it meant is that from the off, Farage was immediately rejecting that critical red line from Rupert Lowe and Restore Britain not to have the former Tories as part of any future government watch. And there's an irony in this, which is that two years ago, Rupert Lowe said, what a fantastic job, Jenrick, Braverman and Kruger were doing inside the Conservative Party. And, you know, unlike Chris Philp, who failed completely, but now wants to sort of forget it, in the case of Braberman and Genrick, they resigned from their positions in their frustration
Starting point is 00:12:57 that the government wouldn't get a grip. So that would not be a part of a negotiation. In broader terms, look, you know, you could see a situation where restore without the hope of winning anything outside Great Yarmouth. I mean, literally without a hope of winning a single seat in the country could do us great harm. Okay, so you can see there, Nigel is being pretty dismissive of Restore Britain. Oh, they're not going to win a seat. And remember he also said that Rupert wouldn't win in Great Yarmouth. but his tone has completely changed
Starting point is 00:13:37 and that continued. As he admitted, he is keeping an open mind. And I think online you will see a lot of restore potential voters now beginning to worry about the impact that might have. So look, I finalise that by saying
Starting point is 00:13:55 if it was the offer of a deal, it came in a very unusual way. I have responded to it, potentially, You know, with an open mind, as I would, but I'm certainly not going to be ditching people that I view to be allies and a great asset. Thank you for the question. And what's interesting is that I would argue Nigel needs to keep an open mind,
Starting point is 00:14:16 because I asked outspoken viewers in a mega poll on YouTube, should Farage accept Rupert Lowe's deal for Restore Britain and Reform UK to work together if Nigel agrees to reverse course on a number of issues, including a referendum on the death penalty and a ban on halal and koshered meat. Well, we have now had over 65,000 votes. And these results are consequential because 91% of you say yes. Just 9% say no. So is there a reason for Reform UK loyalists, for our gists, as many people call them, to be worried? Well, maybe. Because ex-reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib believes this could be a play for Rupert Lowe to one day end up
Starting point is 00:15:02 leader of Reform UK. I think what he suspects is that the leadership of reform is in trouble with all these scandals, apparent scandals over donations and whatnot. And that reform nevertheless is well known across the country. Reform as a vehicle is capable if it has the right leadership of actually forming a government. And that with the weakened leadership of reform, there's a risk that reform itself, will be lost. And he doesn't want to lose the potential of a vehicle that could provide the kind of government that he and I and others wish this country to have. And he sees the opportunity,
Starting point is 00:15:45 therefore, now to go into reform, back into reform, perhaps merge, restore Britain with reform, I don't know what precisely he has in mind, and then perhaps lead reform, given the difficulties he's facing Nigel and Richard Tice now. And that may be the thinking. Cue, both sides erupting. So you've got some reform loyalists like Lucy Connolly who have threatened to quit if Farage doesn't enter talks, posting, oh my gosh, there is a god,
Starting point is 00:16:16 there is not one single word I disagree with in Rupert's video, it actually made me emotional. Country before party, our children must come first. You all know how much I respect and admire you speaking about reform and Nigel and I'm forever grateful for your support. But if you don't put your differences aside and work with Rupert for the good of the country and the future of our children, then I, for one, will no longer be supporting reform. Eva Vladenbrook added, this is the message of a true leader. Rupert Lowe has once again proven himself to be a man who truly puts the interest
Starting point is 00:16:48 of the British people first. The question is, will Nigel Farage follow Stute? And this wasn't just a political story. This was a pop culture story too. This crossed over into the culture with Scotty T, the reality star, writing, this is bigger than Oasis. If Nigel says, yes, 2029 is ours. The country is fixed. If Nigel says no, then he's not actually going to change anything. He'll never get in power, and he's controlled by a higher power. Sometimes you have to get over yourself for the greater good of this country. You won't be surprised to know the reform loyalists were not having it. Swellis husband Ray or Braverman raised, I don't think this is how serious negotiations are conducted.
Starting point is 00:17:31 You don't hear your demands in public before agreeing anything in private. Announcing your position to cameras first achieves little beyond creating headlines. Sorry, but this looks more like a publicity stunt than a genuine attempt to reach an agreement. And Reform Aligned MSM talk presenter Alex Phillips chided, what are you even offering to self-eviserate and disband? I hear you had a big fallout the other week with your chums, feeling a little on your own. And actually, it was that post that really for me summed up the problem that we've got within Reform UK. Finally, finally, Rupert is doing what you've asked for for months.
Starting point is 00:18:09 And now you're still not happy. So I actually had to reply to Alex. And by the way, she used to be a regular here. She's always welcome on outspoken, but she doesn't want to come anymore. So I replied to her publicly writing, "'Darist Alex, it's this type of hubristic, arrogant response from MSM reformists "'that really do turn off a lot of people to the right of reform, "'in my honest opinion.
Starting point is 00:18:31 "'Rupert has made an offer to talk. "'For months and months you said you'd tried to make that happen. "'Why not encourage a conversation at least? "'Like you previously publicly said you were done "'while spending hours on the phone to both men. "'Instead you make some sort of insinuation about discord within restore. "'Obviously, if that's true, it's a good story. "'Sept to this and you should report on it,
Starting point is 00:18:48 I would love to read it on your substack. But all the people I believe you were referring to have come out publicly and backed Rupert's statement today unequivocally. On a personal level, I've picked up much more humility from senior reform figures of late and a desire to work with independence and restore a line journalist rather than just always attack. The real enemy is the BBC, the newspapers, sly news,
Starting point is 00:19:07 as the past few weeks has shown. She replied, he's just had a massive bust up. With his Tory back is effing and blinding, I suspect I've cut him loose. Hence today a social media video. supposedly making demands for reconciliation odd. He didn't pick up the phone though, so performance, not pragmatism, in my honest opinion. Well, you know, I've asked about this, and I will ask Rupert about this, but Senior Restore Britain sources are saying there simply is no fallout.
Starting point is 00:19:36 But she wasn't alone, Reform Board Member Darren Grimes, wrote, So there's the Coalition Building on Offer, a party polling and low single figures instructing the party that's winning councils and by-elections to get smaller, we can't afford that. The country can't afford for us too. And his colleague, Gwain Towler, added, consider what a serious approach would have looked like. Lowe has Varaj's mobile number. He has had it for years. He knows where the officers. He knows every officer of the party by name, damn it. He has my number and he sat in the
Starting point is 00:20:07 parliamentary party until March of last year. Any man genuinely seeking accommodation picks up the telephone, says nothing publicly and does the work in private over six weeks. That route was available this morning and every morning since he chose a production company instead. The medium is the message and the message is that the audience matters more than the outcome. We do not take the bait and we do not spend August answering it. The independent media has been left completely divided though and maybe you would expect that because of course you have this very, very tough division between those who are just ultimate forageists and do not want to countenance any type of offer and want to blame Restore Britain for everything.
Starting point is 00:20:52 And then you have the Restore Britain supporters who believe that Elon Musk is right and that Nigel Farage is weak source. And that actually if the country is to be saved, then there has to be a true revolution. And that true revolution needs a leader like Rupert Lowe. So whose side are you on? And who do you believe in all of this fallout? Well, we've got the man himself here right now. Rupert Lowe is joining us. Rupert Lowe, so great to have you back on Outspoken,
Starting point is 00:21:28 so much to discuss today, including a few of those points that Nigel Farage made directly at his press conference earlier today. But first, Rupert, I just want to check. Has there been any new communication since Nigel Farage sent you that WhatsApp message yesterday morning? Just three words, I believe, Will call later. Have you heard from him? Has he picked up the phone? Has there been any private
Starting point is 00:21:55 discussion between the two of you other than this one exchange? None at all, Dan. That was what I received yesterday morning. I assumed, I took him at his word and I assumed he wouldering later, which he didn't. We got later some form of gobbledy gook post from Nigel, followed by interviews this morning from both Zia Yusuf and Nigel and Richard Tice and then some extraordinary comment
Starting point is 00:22:29 from Nigel about me falling out of the Tories which I have been in touch with Kemi and as far as I'm aware and she's aware there's no issue there and you know this falsehood that he
Starting point is 00:22:45 that he's that he was expecting me to ring him later. Well, I don't think his message would indicate that. So I think we've made a very sincere offer, which we think is in the interests of Britain to work together. We've put the red lines forward, which I think are all pretty straightforward lines that most of our supporters want to see, and I believe most of the reform supporters want to see. The one that seems, of course, the biggest issue is this death penalty referendum. Well, it is a referendum. And for anyone who's, a Democrat, the British people will only support that if they agree with it. And if they agree with it, then arguably it should become part of our law. So I don't think there should be anything
Starting point is 00:23:31 controversial about having a referendum on the death penalty at all. And look, we've said for the monsters, I think we quoted three monsters, Axel, Ruder Kibana, Shabir Ahmed. And we, we people like that who basically beyond any form of redemption. And I think what they did was so heinous, so beyond doubt. But frankly, they don't really have a place in any society, let alone our high trust Christian society. Rupert, I want to show you specifically some of what Nigel Farage said earlier, so you can respond.
Starting point is 00:24:07 What was quite interesting is he really did seem to change his tone towards Restore Britain while maintaining a very tough line on the Conservative Party and seeming to suggest that any potential future talks would not include the Conservatives. Watch this. You called for a broad coalition last night and clearly you are very open-minded, surprisingly so about Mr Lowe. Do you think that broad coalition needs to include the Conservatives? I'm open-minded about talks.
Starting point is 00:24:42 I'm open-minded about talks with people who I think share a similar or be it in some cases slightly different objective and I've always been open-minded I'll talk to anybody who's got a similar goal to me the difficulty with the Conservative is how can I believe a word Chris Philp says
Starting point is 00:25:00 when they do you know how can you tell people in four consecutive manifestos you'll reduce illegal migration and deport those that come illegally and do the opposite if they've done it for four manifestos in a row why on earth should I all the public believe them
Starting point is 00:25:16 on a fifth? That's how I see that right at this moment in time. So, Rupert, where do you stand on that? Do you think the Conservatives have to be part of a potential deal between reform and restore? Well, I can't speak for other people on that, Dan. I mean, the reason I set up a movement was to try and unite the right initially. And it served its purpose in that the Tories put me on the Public Accounts Committee. which is arguably the most powerful committee in Parliament,
Starting point is 00:25:49 and people can see me trying to hold the civil service to account. I mean, our civil service is completely out of control. It's wasting vast amounts of taxpayers' money. It's far too big. The pensions are far too big. And at the end of the day, then what happens is they come after the honest, decent, increasingly small private sector to tax them to fund this waste. So, look, it worked in that respect.
Starting point is 00:26:16 I don't know what Farage is saying there. I made an offer which was difficult for me to make, but I thought after Manchester where we did incredibly well, it did seem logical to try and find some common ground and start the process of uniting what I describe. I don't even describe it as right-wing thought. It's just common-sense thought, which now appears right-wing, because the whole of British politics has gone so sharply to the left,
Starting point is 00:26:46 thanks to Blair and Cameron. So, look, I mean, in the end, if people can't find common ground, and that's why I was so clear with the five red lines that we put forward, then in the end we had to see what the public say, and whoever gets the largest share of the vote will be the kingmaker, and others will have to come in behind. But I think in a way that... So a fight to the day?
Starting point is 00:27:13 That is not the most intelligent way of dealing with it, and we've seen what the left do, Dan. I mean, the left do vote tactically. They do find accommodations. They do stand aside in certain seats or support each other in other seats. So the right's never done that. I think largely because the left is less principled than the right. I think the right tends to be a lot of high-minded, highly-principled people who often, think they know best. And as a result, it's much more difficult to unite the right than it is the
Starting point is 00:27:48 left. But I think our supporters wanted it and I think their supporters wanted it. So we made it in a truly a good faith way. And I don't think, well, I think Nigel was economical with the actuality in his press conference today, which is why highly unusually we thought we should clarify the message we got from him, which, as you say, seems to suggest he was going to call later. I assume because he was canvassing in Clacton against Count Binface. But who knows? Anyway, he didn't call and he hasn't called. So that is the truth.
Starting point is 00:28:30 And the offer stands, we are sincere in that. And if common ground can be found, despite the fact that, as I say, it was very difficult for me, These guys made false witness statements against me. I had my guns taken away. My house was raided by armed police. And at the end of the day, it cost me a lot of money in legal fees. You know, the legal parasites always make money out of all this stuff. And they certainly did on this occasion.
Starting point is 00:28:56 So, look, I mean, I'm intent, as you know. I'm not in this for money. I'm not in it for vanity. I'm in it to change the way Britain's governed. You know, I give my parliamentary salary to charity. I think if you actually show people that you're not in it for money, they tend to take you more seriously. And I sincerely am not. So I'm prepared to give it till 29.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I don't think the country is going to be in good shape after that. So it's becoming increasingly urgent that we find a formula that is going to deliver the kind of policies that we, for instance, put out today in our economic foundational policy, which I think is, I'm really excited about. You know, I've done a lot of work on that myself, and it's gone out, until we can reach some form of accommodation, we're just going to carry on as normal producing policy papers which we've been doing.
Starting point is 00:29:51 I don't see reform doing that, Dan, and that was one of the issues I have with Nigel. We don't know what they're going to do or how they're going to do it. If you read our mass deportation documents, we've put that forward. We've put a paper forward on Net Zero, we put a paper forward on an Englishman's home as his castle, now on economics,
Starting point is 00:30:08 We've got one on regulation coming out, we've got one on student debt coming out. I think people want to know what the policies are and how they're going to be delivered. And we've been doing that. That's what reform hasn't been doing. And I don't see any evidence that they're working on it either. And Rupert, I mean, we're just looking there, by the way,
Starting point is 00:30:26 at your latest policy paper today, which has been released on the economy. But can I just check Rupert, in your head, how are you thinking the talks could proceed? So are you thinking more about some type of electoral strategic pact, which would mean that you stand down in certain seats? Are you talking about a merger? Like, could restore be rolled in to a form UK? What are you open to?
Starting point is 00:30:57 Because that's what the video doesn't explain. You're very clear on your policy positions, but not so much in terms of the mechanics of how any talks could work, what the outcome could be. Well, I think we were very clear that this was an offer of cooperation. That was absolutely abundantly cleared. And so that is very different to either party taking each other over or indeed any other form of merger or anything like that. This was an offer of cooperation of using common sense and logic to try and ensure that common sense thought effectively defeats what I describe
Starting point is 00:31:38 as recidivist, socialist sort of damage to Britain, which is what's been happening. So not a merger. You're not talking about a merger. You don't want to move. We were talking very clearly about cooperation. It was about cooperation then. And look, Nigel and his cohorts, you know, his people around him, they accuse me of not being a team player. I was never not a team player. They basically didn't include me in press conferences. They cut me out of a lot of stuff. I funded my own campaign in Great Yarmouth. But I'm in this because I want to see the country do well and I want to see the country revive. And that's what that's what drives me. So I'm, you know, I was playing as part of a team in as much as they were including me in the team.
Starting point is 00:32:28 So look, I and I think this shows I'm sincere about continuing to try to try to. to work with people who I think behave very shabbily. But that has been put aside, and we've offered cooperation with five red lines, which we've outlined. Now, where that leads to what discussion takes place, that remains to be seen. I don't think we have, and nor should we, have any preconceived ideas about how that should take place. There was a little bit of dirt thrown by Farage today, but he did specifically raise the prospect of an apology,
Starting point is 00:33:07 Rupert, an apology from you to him. Watch this. I mean, there is this myth. There is this myth that I fell out with Rupert Lowe. It's not true. Everyone fell out with Rupert Lowe. I mean, and it was the,
Starting point is 00:33:24 it was the screaming, the shouting, the threatening, the legal writs. Everyone fell out with him, all right? But look, you know, if you have to speak to people or make a range of the people that you've previously fallen out with, if there is a greater good to be happy,
Starting point is 00:33:38 from that that I'm not closing my mind to it. Sorry would be nice, but I would have thought unlikely to be forthcoming. Would you say sorry, Rupert? Well, I think that's a sort of narcissistic arrogance that you'd expect from Nigel. No, I, look, I didn't throw any stones. They made false witness statements, and it was done without any prior discussion. As for the screaming and chatting, that's just palpable rubbish. and, you know, we, I've run multiple family businesses.
Starting point is 00:34:09 I get on people, they work for us most of their lives often. So I mean, a lot of the stuff they talk about is rubbish. And Mohammed Zia Rudin Yusuf, I mean, appeared from nowhere. And, you know, he seems to have done untold damage the structures within reform. And if you listen to, if you listen to people from within reform, it's him who's not a team player. and Nigel himself is very aloof. He doesn't talk to people or include people.
Starting point is 00:34:43 He expects to sit at the top of the tree, issue edict, and for people to deliver. Well, that's not how teams work down. Teams work when you bring people together, you involve them, and you have what I call an inclusive management structure. But I guess it's not surprising that Nigel wouldn't understand that because he's never actually run a business or done anything which involves bringing people together to actually work together constructively.
Starting point is 00:35:13 So, look, I don't want to fall out with the guy. I've made an effort to work with him. But for him to start throwing that kind of nonsense, no, I've got nothing to apologize for. I was just doing my best to drive reform support. And I think if you look at what I was doing, what's all my hands were doing in Parliament, I was an active MP.
Starting point is 00:35:35 I was driving reform support. I was asking active questions in Parliament. I was holding the government to account. I think I was playing very much as part of the team. But he obviously thinks otherwise, and it suits his script to say that now. Well, surely, Dan, making the effort to appease somebody who's, in my view, behave very badly,
Starting point is 00:36:02 I mean, who's the bigger man? I'm not trying to be a big man. I'm just trying to sort the country out. And I think that's what most people want. They don't want this sort of interneisine battle going on between anyone who might help sort the country out. So we've made the effort. I think it's now incumbent on them to come back with a clear message. And we haven't seen a clear message or heard a clear message yet. It's been a very muddled response. One minute it's call you later. The next minute it's some form of, as I say, muddled statement, which came out last night from Nigel. Then we've had interviews from Yusuf and Tice today saying they weren't going to engage.
Starting point is 00:36:47 So look, I don't know. Where does the truth lie down? I think they need to get themselves in a room and work out what they want to do. And we've made the offer. It's there. It's in good faith. And let's see what they've got to say. If they haven't got to say anything, we're just going to carry on as we have. you know, as we have done this afternoon, put out some proper research.
Starting point is 00:37:07 What might surprise you, Rupert, is that Zia Yusuf didn't actually throw any stones today, despite the fact he'd previously reported you to the police. This is what he said when Nigel asked him about it. Are you frightened of Rupert? Well, look, specifically, because I was asked this already, I think, this morning, you know, my feelings towards Rupert are not remotely relevant relative to the face. of the country and the millions, tens of millions of British people around this country who want secure borders, who want an end to illegal immigration, who want mass deportation
Starting point is 00:37:43 of illegal immigrants, all the upholding of law and order, want taxes to come down, all of the things that I know restore voters, a lot of conservative voters and reform voters all want. That is what matters. That was quite magnanimous, I thought. Were you surprised? Look, he's a very Polish media performer, Dan. Yeah, he's good at that. That's what he's good at.
Starting point is 00:38:07 But I think if you talk to most people who've worked with him within reform, I mean, he's gone from what chairman to, I think, head of policy now, he's what, shadow home secretary. So he doesn't seem to be able to find a slot within which continuity is allowed to exert itself. So you have to ask yourself why. The other interesting thing about this timing, Rupert, there's a lot of people are talking about how Nigel Farage is currently on the ropes. I mean, Dan Hodges in the mail on Sunday after the Manchester mayoral vote, said that your vote,
Starting point is 00:38:46 you know, and you had an amazing candidate in Marlon West, proves that you are now established as a genuine political presence in former Red Wall Britain. And he then went on to write a column in the mail on Sunday, where he quoted senior figures from within Reform UK, saying that they are now thinking the thinkable and that it's thinking the previously unthinkable, which is about replacing Nigel as Reform UK leader. Ben Habib, your former colleague, the former deputy leader of Reform UK, said that he thought that this play from you could be, because one day you actually hope that you could replace Nigel Farage as the leader of Reform UK.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Is there any truth to that? No, because I don't think reform is well structured, as I've just said, Dan. I don't know what reform has other than its members that we would want. So I don't think they have the structures that I think are needed to deliver success. Now, Restore's branches are growing very fast. We've got extremely loyal people who are setting out branches across the country. Very often, I can't keep up with all the branches that are leaping up. They're very good people.
Starting point is 00:40:11 They are doing it themselves. That's what Rebecca Shepard did in Makerfield. So when the by-election was called there, she was the ideal person to step up and become the prospective MP. Again, we were criticized for that, but she was, she's a very decent person. She's been helping Marlon West with his mayoral election in Manchester. As you say, he did a great job on that. He did a great job with us on the rape gang inquiry.
Starting point is 00:40:40 So, no, I don't covet what reform has. I think we've got a tremendous structure, much cleaner, much more energized structure and a much more delegated structure. So we don't try and centrally plan things, and we're not dictatorial in the way that reform is. And I think therefore, they have a very different approach to us, but that they have a loyal membership base. And I think it's the members who collectively, both restore and reform, need to reassure that the interests of the members are what's at the top of the agenda. and that's what we tried to do. Well, Lucy Conley has said that she would quit.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Lucy Connolly. And Dan Hodges has been, Dan Hodges in the past has been critical of me, Dan, as you know. Yes, he has. He's a very dedicated journalist. I mean, do I think Nigel could have played his cards better with regards to declaring the five million pound donation? Yes, I do. And other declarations that he's failed to make. So, look, in part,
Starting point is 00:41:54 Parliament, it's official. There are lots of rules that are designed to allow the parliamentary establishment to control MPs, which again, I disagree with because I think MPs are elected by the public to represent the public, and they should be high-minded, proud and powerful. But you know, you look at the legal case I brought against Parliament. The ICGS, which is the body that's investigating Nigel through the parliamentary commissioner on state. standards, they enjoy parliamentary privilege. Well, that's complete nonsense. And, you know, they don't debate. They're not elected. They don't even have a committee that has an MP on it. They have an independent expert panel. So look, I think he could have played his cards better
Starting point is 00:42:42 with regard to that. Is he damaged goods? Well, time will tell. But certainly in the polls, I think people are beginning to question whether it was a wise, decision not to make that declaration. I disagree with him calling a by-election until after the parliamentary commissioner has actually opined. Why would you do that? Because if he opines that Nigel should have declared it, there will be a recall petition and there will be another by-election, which is not fair on the good people of Clacton, Dan. And will you definitely run in that? Or could that be part of your talks? Could that be part of the negotiation? for you to say, actually, we won't run in the second.
Starting point is 00:43:27 But this thing stands at the moment. We've said we will run in the real by-election, not the bi-election. I mean, if you have negotiations, could that be part of the negotiations that you wouldn't run? In theory, anything's up for discussion, Dan. But no, as it stands at the moment, we will stand. We've said we'll stand. The other part is, as it happened, followed our lead. And nobody's standing against Nigel.
Starting point is 00:43:56 There's a huge list of people standing, but none of the established parties are standing against him because they saw this as a charade, which is what it is. It's a PR charade. The question is, how will the good people have clapped and respond? Ultimately, it's, you know, a long, arduous campaign. I think the election is in mid-August, so there's some way to go yet. And it's a distraction, arguably, from what they're trying to do.
Starting point is 00:44:24 during the summer. So I mean, we'll see how they... Well, I mean, I'm totally opposed to this. That's up to them. Rupert, I wanted to just ask about, because you're talking about members. Now, Lucy Connolly, very high profile member of Reform UK, but also someone who you have supported. Indeed, you were the one who talked to Parliament for that major debate about people being jailed for social media posts. Now, she has said that she is done with Reform UK. if Nigel Farage doesn't accept the offer from you to host talks.
Starting point is 00:45:01 Would you encourage her and people who are like her, feeling like her, to join Restore Britain? I mean, Restore Britain's open to everybody to join. And Lucy is a great lady. I think she was very badly treated by the system. she was arguably made an example of by Starma, who was worried about the response to the Southport killings by Riddha Cabana. And in an understandable sort of fit of fury, she made a post, which she deleted.
Starting point is 00:45:41 And to go to prison for 30 months for that, when we see people systematically abusing, grooming and raping, white working class girls across Britain on an industrial scale, either avoiding completely any form of conviction or indeed having much lesser sentences given to them. Again, arguably judges are now saying for cultural reasons, well, no, we have one law. So Lucy, Lucy is for everybody and it should apply to everybody equally. Now, Lucy came to the debate. She's very brave. She was away from her family for a long time. And, you know, I've got to know both her and her husband. They're very good people. They're very welcome to join Restore, as is anyone within the country who shares our view.
Starting point is 00:46:31 And increasingly, we're putting out papers so people, if they choose to read them, can see what we intend to do. It's going to be a properly structured plan. That's the only way that Britain can be restored down. And Rupert, you know that the hit against you coming from Reform UK in a very very coordinated manner is in regards to some type of secret deal that you have with the Conservative Party. So I just want to be really clear here now. Is there any sort of deal? Was there any sort of fallout last week? Did you have raised voices with anyone in the Conservative Party? Was there some type of meeting where they withdrew support from you? Because I've now heard this from Alex Phillips, from Isabel Oakshot, from Richard Tice, from Nigel Farage, from
Starting point is 00:47:21 Gwain Tuller, they are all saying it, Rupert. They are all convinced that there is some type of deal between you and the Conservative Party. Can you just be completely honest and transparent now? Is there any type of deal and has there been any type of fallout? Number one, there's no deal then. I mean, the Tories put me on the public accounts Committee and we had a discussion before I went on the Public Accounts Committee where I committed to basically treat them with respect on that committee, treat the Chairman Jeffrey Clifton Brown with respect, which I do. I don't see Jeffrey or Kemi or any one of the Tories as the problem. I see the civil service is the problem, Dan. So I think we're actually united in our intent
Starting point is 00:48:09 to try and hold the civil service to account. And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, make it clear to the British people how they're being taken for fools by people who aren't actually either civil or serving. So I think we're doing that. So no, there would, there'd be no crosswords. I've actually messaged Kemi and I've said, this is the accusation that reform are making. Do you have any issues that I'm unaware of? And she said no. So I honestly don't know where this fictional disagreement has come from. I mean, I suspect it suits their script at the moment and it's clearly a script they've rehearsed together. But there's absolutely no truth to it whatsoever. There's no truth, the fact we have an agreement with the Tories. And there's
Starting point is 00:48:58 absolutely no truth to the suggestion that there's been any form of falling out. I get on extremely well with Tory MPs in Parliament. I get on with Labour MPs. I get on with Northern Irish MPs. I get on with Lib Dem MPs are on the Public Accounts Committee. So look, I think once you're in Parliament, you're much more effective if you work with people. You don't want to fall out with people or have secret deals with people. Restore Britain is what it appears to be. It's a party that wants to restore Britain. And as I say, we're putting forward the blueprint as to how that can be done. And if you read our economic paper, which I'm really excited about today, that is a big part of what we intend to do. And look, we're going to abandon the triple lot. We're going to get rid of a whole load of
Starting point is 00:49:53 taxes, which I think are holding the British people back. And it's a report that makes for great reading. and it shows how effectively that the size of the state can be cut, and as the size of the state is cut, people's taxes can be cut. And that is the precursor to industrial revival, industrial and growth revival, which is what we intend to achieve. And it's brave too, because, of course, Reform UK have stood by the triple lot. So, Rupert, just finally, what is your message to Nigel Farage? He has issued his message to you.
Starting point is 00:50:30 What's your message to him? Are you calling on him to pick up the phone? Would you pick up to him? Do you still want to have that phone conversation? He hasn't tried to call me, Dan. And I think we've made it very clear that we will engage with him should he choose to pick up the phone. And when he says, we'll call you later, that is not something that requires me to call him later, as he suggested in his press conference. So, you know, again, it's being economical with the truth
Starting point is 00:51:01 and putting spin on something that shouldn't have any spin put on it. So, of course, we wouldn't have spent the time producing our five points and writing that extremely well-thought-through plan for cooperation had we not meant it. Why would we do that? Brilliant stuff. Rupert Lowe. Keep us posted, the leader.
Starting point is 00:51:26 of Restore Britain. So great to have you here today. Rupert, thank you so much. Let me bring in immediately now, Lauren, the insider. Lauren, your reaction. Lauren, what's your reaction to that? I will get to Lauren in one second. So do stand by. There she is. Lauren, what's your reaction? Oh, we're struggling with Lauren's audio. We will get it back imminently while. Oh, Lauren, we've got you now. You can hear me now? Yes. Okay, so I think this is a great move by Rupert. I think he's done exactly what Patriots want to see.
Starting point is 00:52:17 We want our country back and at this point we do have to work together because we see on the left. They are so deluded. They just all stick together, they're half asleep, they haven't got a clue what's going on. We need to start playing a savvy again. and things, the landscape's changing all the time down. So we are seeing what's happened in Spain. We are seeing the Islamic takeover hit up at rapid pace. Half of our property in London is already owned by Qatar.
Starting point is 00:52:50 We've got mega mosques opening up being opened in part by the King. We've got a real problem in this country. I think Nigel needs to get over himself. I have an alarm bell that goes off time and time again with Nigel. I do feel there are many, many patterns that show he seems to be quite establishment. If he wants to save the country, he needs to get moving. And every point Rupert made in his video, they're great points and it's hard to argue with what he's saying. When I watched the video, I got really teary because I felt like finally,
Starting point is 00:53:35 you know, we're being seen, we're being seen, we're scared, we want our country back, it doesn't mean we're bad people. We, and hearing I think as well Rupert just say so many things that I feel so strongly about like banning the burqa, banning cousin marriage. I think the problem is for me it always seems like Nigel is almost trying to appease donors and so we know there are allegations of donors coming from the UAE and various other areas. So as part of that, it always feels to me, and these are allegations that I've read, but it feels to me like he's trying to tow a certain line. We've gone past towing any line. There's not time for it, and it's towing the line that has
Starting point is 00:54:23 got us into this position whereby we are having to work towards making big, big changes. Yeah, and it's super interesting actually because there's also a real divide, even in this independent media space, because that's what Lauren is saying. Mike Graham, he is saying something very different posting today. The truth is thanks, but no thanks. Duncan, Hamblin, replying to him quite a different story with Dan Wooden. My money is on Dan's perspective being close to the truth. Mike, you've become too close to reform. It's affecting your judgment.
Starting point is 00:55:00 He replied, incorrect. I am always proved right and I will be again. So we will see and we will keep across this story. But then you think about the trouble we are in and that is why we so desperately need a deal. The trouble the UK is in became quite clear over the weekend. The so-called cultural enrichment of Sadiq Khan's increasingly Islamist, increasingly lawless London, clear at this. Do you know that we have a Ghana festival in the
Starting point is 00:55:38 United Kingdom? And at this Ghana festival where I saw absolutely no native English people, there were the most shocking scenes as a stampede took place. And while there have been these headlines in the newspapers, this stampede, which caused a massive emergency response, saw 23 people badly injured and a fire to me proved that very often in the disunited kingdom. Now, because of so-called cultural enrichment, we no longer see ourselves. So the scenes that I'm about to show you, let me just remind you, we're in Barnett, London. Not in Ghana, but in Sadiq Khan's London. You will be shocked. Watch.
Starting point is 00:56:25 and the issue is that we have by choice imported those sorts of scenes to London. It just got worse. Now again, my public service announcement is the fact that that festival was taking place in the United Kingdom, not in Ghana. And it resulted in the police having to step in. The events came to too many people here. Too many people. Too many people. The events been cancelled.
Starting point is 00:58:11 And then we get to the official MSM report. of the event. The evening standard in London writing the Ghana party in the park at Copthall Plainfields and Barnett on Saturday was forced into an abrupt closure after an overcrowding issue, police and organisers said. Several festival goers suffered non-life-threatening injuries following the crush that was sparked by a small fire on the site which required the gates to be closed temporarily. Police said a crowd built up and surged when the gates were reopened. A total of 23 people needed assistance from emergency services or the event medical team, with nine people assessed by the London Ambulance Service. Footage from the event showed dozens of emergency vehicles, including
Starting point is 00:59:00 air ambulance, present at the scene. One witness told the Sun they saw at least three injured people being carried away on stretches as medics attended the scene. It attracts this festival, more than 8,000 people, according to the London Assembly website, making it the largest Ghanaian event outside of Ghana. It was headlined this year by the Ghanaian reggae dance-al artist Shatter Whale, with the festival being billed as Shatterfest UK. But in a statement on Saturday night, the organisers said, following the unfortunate incident at today's event, we wish to provide an update regarding the abrupt closure of Ghana in the park.
Starting point is 00:59:34 The decision to close the festival was made solely on the grounds of health and safety. Officers from the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade responded to a major incident on site. following discussions with the emergency services and our health and safety team, it was agreed that closing the festival was the safest option in order to protect all attendees. It added, we would like to clarify
Starting point is 00:59:53 that there were no incidents of stabbing and deaths as being speculated. The safety and well-being of our attendees, staff, artists, contractors and partners remains our utmost priority. Well, that's bullshit because it's an absolute miracle that no one was caught killed.
Starting point is 01:00:10 And isn't it fascinating? All the attendee, all the organisers care about is the fact that these people were speculating that there might have been stabments. Well, I'm sorry, you're importing the third world to our country. You do not see those types of scenes at other festivals. In the United Kingdom, do you? You just don't. I've attended events at London Parks this summer. And we act properly and not like that. So Lauren the insider, unfortunately, these scenes, to me, show that the cultural enrichment ideology is a myth. It's not enriching us having a Ghana festival like this.
Starting point is 01:00:53 And the problem is, Lauren, we have so many, so many imported communities now. And unfortunately, we import their violence too. We import their danger too. Could you imagine if those scenes had been at United States? the kingdom. I mean, it's unbelievable. You only have to sneeze at Unite the Kingdom and it's a criminal offence. But you're right. These kind of cultures we see time and time again. This is not assimilating, but it's also why are we having these festivals? I am sick to death of hearing about multiculturalism, festivals for anything other than people who are
Starting point is 01:01:40 born here who want to celebrate our flag, who want to be proud of our heritage. That is the biggest crime now. But oh, a festival for Ghana, a festival for Pakistan, Afghanistan, anywhere, but the United Kingdom. These scenes are horrific. Absolutely horrific. Absolutely horrific. And Lauren, what's fascinating is this is an event that is promoted on Sadiq Khan's London Assembly Web. site. Lauren, he doesn't promote Unite the Kingdom. He says that Unite the Kingdom is a horror, far right event. So he's embarrassed about Unite the Kingdom, which is a whole load of natives, a whole load of patriots coming together. By the way, not all white. You know, you know that. You know
Starting point is 01:02:26 that. A huge ethnic diverse group, actually. But they're flying the Union Jack, they're flying the English flag. He's disgusted by that, Lauren, but he is proud of this event that we are watching now, so proud that he decides to list it on his website. And this violence as well, this is a snippet of what we are seeing as well. If we did not have X, we would not know these things are going on because they are continually watered down in the mainstream media, which are just absolutely waging a war against people. They are lying day in, day out.
Starting point is 01:03:04 And Sadiq Khan, whenever he is questioned on anything, He gaslights people and he says, you're being racist. I couldn't give two hoots if someone's skin color is green. It makes no difference about skin color. What we are talking about here is a cultural issue. This culture we are seeing, this is not what we do here. This is not compatible. This is not Western democracy.
Starting point is 01:03:34 This is not Western society. These are barbaric scenes. And if I were there on my own or if I were there with my children, I would be absolutely petrified. But this is Sadiq Khan's London. Wherever you go in London, there's a problem. But if you want to raise an issue or voice your concern, you are a far right racist.
Starting point is 01:04:02 I know, Lauren, it is really, really worrying. And the problem is, even though this received a little bit of coverage here within the newspapers, Lauren, nothing on the mainstream media. No big scandal about this. They just ignore a catastrophe like this. I mean, there could have been hundreds of deaths. Well, also, we see Shabana Mahmood, don't we, when someone crawled under a fence with a camera and someone flew a drone. She's straight onto her ex account and saying, countless lives were sold. by the police and the terrorism squad.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Yet when we are seeing, it seems like this, they all remain silent. And this is where we see. If you are white and you're in the UK, forget it. Absolutely forget it. We could not be a lower class to these politicians. And the media, yeah, there was a bit of reporting on this, Dan, but at the end of the day, none of them are ever giving
Starting point is 01:05:05 context. It's something I focus on on all of my videos because they're reporting on the story on a surface level, but they are not comparing it to unite the kingdom or they're not comparing it to Notting Hill Carnival. Because if the mainstream media and the government go down to the facts, go one level down, which is the bare minimum that the public deserve, then the entire propaganda framework is completely rumbled because the facts speak for themselves. We don't behave like this at Unite the Kingdom. I don't see the pink ladies doing this at Unite the Kingdom. I don't see Tommy Robinson doing this, but we're always told it's us that are divisive. It's us that are stirring up hatred. I'm so sick of this country and anything that happens
Starting point is 01:06:00 whereby Sadiq Khan's name is remotely attached to it. It speaks for itself. Breaking today, the legendary British newspaper columnist and commentator Rod Liddle has died after a short illness aged 66. This is devastating news for the country. We needed Rod Liddle. We needed Rod Liddle. bravery. We needed Rod Liddles' balls. We needed Rod Liddell's outrageous sense of humour. We needed
Starting point is 01:06:42 Rod Liddle's ability to speak truth to power. I was absolutely devastated to learn this news today. Indeed, I can't believe two of the absolute key guests of my GB News show, which launched that channel, Anne Whittickham and Rod, have been taken from us in a matter of weeks, both equally devastating for different reasons. Here is the official announcement from News UK via the Times where Rod remained a columnist. They announced the journalist and broadcaster Rod Little has died age 66. Little who wrote regular columns for the Sunday Times and the Sun and presented a weekly show Four Times Radio died on Sunday evening at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after a short illness. His children, Wilder, Tyler and Emmy said in a statement, we're all
Starting point is 01:07:49 very saddened and shocked at the sudden passing of our wonderful father. He raised us much as you might imagine to be inquisitive, brave and always humorous. Even in hospital in the last few weeks, he consistently held the room and never let the awful situation show. He has left a legacy that we are all incredibly proud of. He will always be our guide on how to live an extraordinary life. Robert Thompson, the Chief Executive News Corporation editor of the Times from 2002 to 2007, said Rod was puckishly profound and profoundly puckish. We were determined back in 2003 that he should bring his intellectual energy and lateral wit to the Times and his wisdom and whimsy have echoed around our company and the world ever since. Rod's resonance will surely echo for many, many years to come.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Rebecca Brooks, Chief Executive of News UK, which owns the titles and the Times, said that he would be greatly missed by readers, listeners and viewers. Rod was an intimidable journalistic force, brilliant, provocative and immensely talented, whose sharp wit and uncompromising voice, Grey-style pages and airwaves for decades. Whether writing for the Sunday Times and the sun or broadcasting on Times Radio, he challenged conventional thinking
Starting point is 01:09:08 and left an indelible mark on British journalism. And actually at that point, it is worth me just telling a story about how Rod Little came to be, such a brilliant contributor on my former G.B. News show. I was absolutely determined that we would attract the best of British. And at the time, it was a bit like with Anne Whittickham,
Starting point is 01:09:28 at the time when Rod joined the show, G.B News was a dumpster fire. Everyone was absolutely pissing all over us. But he wanted to be part of it. And he loved the fact that we were able to have these completely unvarnished conversations. And quite often he would do so with fag and mouth, maybe a little whiskey to his side. and he became yet again a broadcasting force,
Starting point is 01:09:55 something he had been in the past. And what was interesting is that up until that point, Rebecca Brooks had not unleashed Rod Little at News UK in broadcasting. He'd never had a show. He'd never been offered a show. And Rod called me one day to reveal this was after he'd done the show for about a year. And we were becoming a force. G.B. News was absolutely killing it in the ratings.
Starting point is 01:10:19 And he called me one day and he said, Dan, I'm so sorry, I have to leave. It's not my choice. But News UK have said that I am unable to keep broadcasting on GB News. Contractually, they no longer want me to do it, but they have promised me a show on Times Radio. And sure enough, as a result of those brilliant uncannselled segments on GB News, Rod got his show on Times Radio, which he presented until his death. But I mean, honestly, when you see how good he was on GV News, I honestly thank Rod from the bottom of my heart
Starting point is 01:10:58 because without him, I don't think we would have built the show in the way that we did. He was a ratings winner. The viewers loved him. And my God, he was so brilliant on so many issues, especially because you remember at the time, the trans debate was raging. Just look at what he told me about that at the time. Kirstama and various other members,
Starting point is 01:11:21 of the Labour Party may find it difficult to enunciate what a woman is, but no one else in the country has any difficulty. It is only these liberal and elite institutions which impose stuff totally against the views of what it seems to me is the vast, vast majority of this country. I think if you took an opinion poll, and I've actually asked a couple of opinion poll companies to do this very, very poll, but they won't do it because they're scared of what the result will be, which is, you know, has someone who's transitioned to become actually a woman or are they still basically a man? You know, you look at the picture of Leo Thomas and you can probably tell without any further judgment. But my suspicion is that, again, it's around about 90 percent
Starting point is 01:12:12 we would say, look, we want transgender people to have decent lives with equality without discrimination, with fairness and with justice and with dignity. But a man who transitions into being a woman is not actually a woman. And that's the simple fact. But it was actually a piece of advice that Rod gave me on GB News that may have actually resulted in my exit from the station. but I love him for this. And he is completely right. He made the point that when the mob is coming after you, never apologize. Never.
Starting point is 01:12:55 And that's why, in part, I didn't on air, even though it did cost me my job. You know what happened, Lawrence Fox, etc., etc. We won't go into it today. But listen to these words and never apologize because Rod is. right. Identify two kinds of apology. The first is where you've said something, which
Starting point is 01:13:18 you know people aren't going to like, or which later you discover people don't like. And then you kind of apologize for having caused offence or for people having taken offence of what you said. So you're not actually apologising at all. You're merely saying I'm really sorry that
Starting point is 01:13:34 Tappas the snowflake was upset by what I said. But it's demanded of you. And it's an important thing to remember if you're ever in this position, never apologize, never apologize, because that is immediately an admission of guilt and the woke will not wish to hear your apology, they will merely accept that you accept that you are wrong and they will be all the worse for it, never apologize. And the second apology, as I've said is, is people usually in positions of power who apologize for things which happened many, many
Starting point is 01:14:09 years before, and for which they had no responsibility whatsoever, such as Tony Blair, for example, apologising for slavery. He didn't, so far as I'm aware, owe many slaves, and also for him apologising, I believe he apologized for the Irish famine back in the 1800s, and I'm pretty sure he didn't eat all of the potatoes. Never apologise. The woke will not wish to accept. Oh my God, he was right. Broad was always hilarious though to such a great broadcaster. There were moments like this. Family trying to enjoy a picnic on the Downs near Bristol were suddenly stopped when a bunch of people in fluorescent jackets came up to them and stopped them doing it because they said they had a windbreak up and a windbreak constituted a semi-permanent structure and that that wasn't allowed under the
Starting point is 01:15:01 council regulations and I'm sure they can't I'm sure they put what sorry? Sorry, can't. Sorry, can you. Sorry, can you Can you stop? I'm sorry, why do we... You need permission to film in here. Why do we need permission? Because you do. Why do we? Because you're on Westminster grounds.
Starting point is 01:15:17 Well, we're on Westminster grounds out there. I know, but you need permission. So we don't need permission? Yes, you do. No, we don't, it's just a park. There seems to be no end to the zealousness of councils these days, and nothing which they will not stop us doing. The matter how harmless it might seem, no matter what a total and utter lack of damage it does to anyone else. It seems to me to be a case of officiousness.
Starting point is 01:15:39 But it's not only that, because at the time that they're stopping us filming in a park or having a picnic with a windbreak, they're also filming us with their CCTVs, they're finding out more information than ever was the case before, through looking through our rubbish and through the databases which they hold upon us. And you begin to ask, why are they doing this, when we are paying them so that we can have happier lives? Could you tell me why you're stopping us? I'm stopping you because you need permission to have a,
Starting point is 01:16:06 A tripod here. A tripod. Why? Is that because it's a semi-permanent structure? Possibly. Let's not use the tripod. Have you ever met a local council official who you would wish to be in charge of a CCC TV camera? No, I haven't personally.
Starting point is 01:16:25 No, I mean, no. My God, he was brilliant. And always hilarious. Always hilarious. Even when it was totally off the cuff. Like, I loved this moment. And I know Claire Fox is just devastated by Rod's death. I love this moment when he arrived at the Battle of Ideas.
Starting point is 01:16:43 Tell us what you're looking forward to. You've been years before. Why is the Battle of Ideas more important than ever this year? It's more important than ever this year because for the first year I'm speaking. And that's really what I'm looking forward to, me speaking at the Battle of Ideas. I know that a lot of other people are speaking at the Battle of Ideas and I'm sure they're interesting, but they're surely not as interesting as I am. Because you've never had a platform before?
Starting point is 01:17:03 I've never had a platform before. Claire has asked before, but there's always been, you know, it's meeting with. royalty, you know, various tasks. We're all about elevating marginalised voices. Yes, yes, well I am a marginalised voice. I identify as a marginalised voice. Biologically, where do you identify it? In autumn, in particular.
Starting point is 01:17:24 Biologically, I identify as deeply confused. Deeply, deeply confused. Now I'm looking forward to it. It's a brilliant thing and everybody who attends a battle of ideas should be a member of the Social Democratic Party. Social Democratic Party. I mean, that's the truth. We all know it. They all know it. They just have to cross that line. Okay. This is not a party political broadcast, but it might just be. It might just be. Thank you so much, Rod.
Starting point is 01:17:49 I mean, he adored his beloved SDP. But what's interesting is despite being a member of that party, there has been an overwhelming outpouring today from across the political right. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, writing extremely sad news that Rod Lidd is no longer with us. Rod was one of the most prolific columnist Westminster has ever seen he will be missed. Rupert Lowe writing it is awful news that Rod Lidl, a towering intellect and a friend, has died. My thoughts are with his loved ones. Robert Jenrick of Reform UK, Rod Lidlittle said the unsayable truth years before anyone else would come close, rest and peace. And Father Calvin Robinson of Restore Britain, adding, sorry to hear that Rod Little has died.
Starting point is 01:18:31 He was always very kind and supportive towards me. He certainly had a sharp sense of humor. were one of the few people who could still get away with smoking on the telly. May he rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him. Conservative party leader Kemi Badenok, weighing in two, writing just heartbreaking to hear the news about Rod Little. I don't have the words to express how sad this is. For journalism, for his readers, and most of all his friends and family.
Starting point is 01:18:57 Had missed his column and hearing his voice on the radio, thought he was on a break, rest in peace, Rod, you will be very much missed. And Matt Goodwin, adding, I am shocked and saddened by the news that Rod Little has passed. Rod was a great writer, a provocateur, a rebel, somebody who really understood what was on the minds of ordinary people. My condolences to his friends and family, amid a media class that has become far too insular, uniform and remote from the lives of ordinary people. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Rod. Lauren the insider, I mean, he was a truly great man, and you know there are very few columnists
Starting point is 01:19:32 I still respect within the mainstream media. I would put Rod alongside Alison Pearson and Douglas Murray amongst the few. And so that's one of the reasons why this is a great loss. But Lauren, how good was his advice? Never apologise. Never apologise. And that stuck with me, Lauren. Yeah, I love that advice.
Starting point is 01:19:54 But I also love how ahead of the time he was as well and how he was so smart. there wasn't, you know, when he was confronted about the tripod, it was hilarious. Those are absolutely golden viral moments, but voices like this are so rare and it's such a loss. And they're so rare because the mainstream can't afford to have too many of voices like Rod because they speak sense. They resonate with people and it doesn't fit the narrative. So it's a huge, huge loss. And his loss will be felt for a huge amount of time. It's so incredibly sad.
Starting point is 01:20:39 He was so young as well. 66 is no age to pass. But I hope his family can see some comfort in the outpouring of love and the tributes that have come out because he absolutely made his mark. And there is unlimited amount of respect for him. Okay, so this was maybe predictable, but it is still quite hilarious to see. Holly Willoughby's entry into the independent media space via a new YouTube show has now been an unmitigated disaster.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Despite front page publicity, across all of the mainstream media, just 13,000 subs and 24,000 views on her most recent. recent video. Indeed, I think in this interview with the comedian Catherine Ryan, Holly Willoughby herself, has just explained why this show is such an epic flop. And maybe in some ways, you can't completely blame her. You have to understand that she has been conditioned to become terrified to say anything, to ever speak the truth. She admits it. And unfortunately, Holly, It's these words that I think prove why your show has become sort of the pin-up as to why mainstream figures do not cross over into this independent world, into this YouTube world. What I love about your podcast is, I mean, I follow you. So I see you a lot.
Starting point is 01:22:19 You come up a lot. And I'm like, you're so smart. I mean, you're obviously really funny. But you are so smart. And I literally listen to you and I'm like, I just would like to be able to say the things that you say. Wow. Because you just, you're very open and you're very honest and you just say exactly how you feel. And I love that.
Starting point is 01:22:37 I'm so terrified to have an opinion on anything. So I'm like, do you think that that's been, for lack of a better term, groomed into you because of the very high profile jobs that you've had? Maybe. Because I think, or were you always like that as a child? I don't like, I definitely don't like upsetting anybody. I think I've always been like that. I do think that the nature of what I do, you like to. see both sides of anything, of any argument.
Starting point is 01:23:03 And then what happens is you end up not really having opinion on anything because you see the both sides of everything. Yeah. Which is tricky. And also I think I'm, I think probably I'm so terrified to say anything wrong. Because if you get it wrong, the backlash is so huge, right? Especially when people feel that they know you and they're invested in the idea of you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:26 And so I, someone was talking about this the other day. Yeah. that if you go against that, so if you came out and said, I mean, I'll choose something really generic. If you were like, the tea bag goes in last. You know, if you said something, people would feel that that was almost a betrayal. That's not the Holly Willoughby that I've constructed in my parissocial mind. And so to see you deviate from that, I think for a lot of people would be really exciting because they want to get to know you more, but you would risk alienating. Yeah. And so it's riskier for you.
Starting point is 01:24:01 So she's on the whole problem with this show up. I mean, okay, you're talking about you always want to be both sides of an issue. Well, you can't be on both sides of the Pakistani Muslim rape gangs. Holly, can you? You know, that's sort of a one-sided issue. And you're too terrified because if you say the wrong thing, there's going to be a big backlash. Well, that's why this show isn't working. We're not getting the real, Holly.
Starting point is 01:24:25 We're not seeing her real thoughts. And Lauren the insider has been completely across Holly's sort of collapse and panic as the show goes badly wrong. Watch this. Holly Willoughby has urgently tried to rebrand this show. Originally, it was called Holly Willoughby Together. Now, since the first episode came out and has been an utter, utter disaster, we have seen her rebrand it. Two, Holly Willoughby together with Voie. So, Lauren, the Insider, this is absolutely fascinating, right?
Starting point is 01:25:03 Because here you are a completely unknown entity, right? Before you start appearing here on Outspoken, on Tommy Robinson's Urban Scoop, on Andrew Gold's podcast. Before that, completely behind the scenes. You're a young mom. You have none of this big financial backing, no investors, no sponsors. Yet you are whooping Holly Willoughby's ass on YouTube, completely thrashing her every single day. And Lauren, it's because of the issue that Holly summed up.
Starting point is 01:25:43 She's not prepared to say anything. She's terrified. Living and fear of being cancelled. And is this not the reason, Lauren, why mainstream figures are just not going to translate? into our space. Because the reason people come to our space is they are so sick of hearing bussed up celebrities who are too afraid to speak the truth.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Well, I think it's a really interesting conversation because many people might say, I don't like Holly Willoughby, I'm not bothered about her. Remove Holly Willoughby as a person from this. What we're looking at is someone coming from mainstream, trying to jump into YouTube to make a new financial business. but the problem is they haven't shown the public respect. They are just repeating the same propaganda that is going out on channel one, two, three, four and so forth.
Starting point is 01:26:35 And I think perhaps why my YouTube has done well is because, and I've looked, I've lost friends from doing it. I've, there's been a big loss, but I've always been myself. and people know that i'm not going to toe a line i am proud to work with tommy robinson it's actually one of my life's proudest achievements being able to work with without question the best journalist this country has and will ever see i don't give a shit what people think about that i answer to my mum my husband my children and god and i think holly has always had scripts. She's had a team. She's had a framework with ITVs this morning. The show was quite fast-moving. She had another presenter to always lean on. This show has really exposed her
Starting point is 01:27:34 and where she's really got it wrong, I don't think the public want a glossy purpose-built studio like Holly's got. They don't want a casting director and they just want real conversations. A lot has changed since Holly left this morning, but she has not adapted. And playing it safe, stay on mainstream Holly, because we are all sick and tired of it. And I would even celebrate her being brave even if she was a labour supporter. Because I would think you're not a coward. At least you are wearing your heart on your sleeve and you are being true to yourself. Because ultimately when people say, well, it doesn't always have to be political, well, actually, if we look at where we are in life at the moment, I think it's very clear.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Half the country have a moral compass and half don't. So it kind of does come down to politics. And Holly has made one of the most expensive mistakes. This show has cost hundreds of thousands of pounds. She quickly tried to rebrand it within 24 hours where she changed the title to Holly Willoughby together with Voie. Now, there's two reasons that would happen. One, Voie will have gone absolutely mental that they've paid so much money and it has been a flop. There is, it's not even got 30,000 views, 13,000 subscribers. That is a disaster. Or Holly and her team will be starting to shift it.
Starting point is 01:29:14 So no, it was never a big, it was never a big show. This was a brand show. It was just a little project. But last night, Dan, we were on Messenger, aren't we? Because we do find it, we'd find this funny. I can't lie. I find it funny that someone that's husband is the biggest cheese in TV, you know, the fourth biggest supplier to the BBC.
Starting point is 01:29:37 They've all made this show. I don't know how many people it will have taken, but I know it's 20, 30 plus perhaps, if you look at everyone involved. They have a casting director, I mean, come on. I know. And she's changed it back now after I rumbled her and put a video out. No way. To Holly Willoughby together.
Starting point is 01:30:02 But I just, I don't see it working. And I had some trolls that said, you are just jealous because she's prettier and more talented than you. and I said, look, you silly poppet, I already said, of course she's prettier than me. She dresses better than me. She's been presenting more than me. A year ago, I was just on Instagram exposing politics and royals and things that the public weren't knowing about. So I don't claim to be a better presenter than Holly.
Starting point is 01:30:32 But what I will always be is I will always be myself. And you know, countless times, Dan, I've called things out at the risk of probably losing all my subscribers, but that I'm here to be me. And Holly should have done celebrity juice. If she had have done an adult type evening format program where it was giving people the spicy Holly Willoughby, then that potentially could have worked. But ultimately, I don't think there's anything under there. Yes, she might be a nice lady. But really, we all want to know, not how to make pasta, and a 50 minute episode on that. We want to know what do you know about Philip Schofield?
Starting point is 01:31:17 Well, indeed, why did she not talk about those genuine issues that she's gone through, Schofield and being caught up in that, and also her own battle with the stalker? Instead, we get quite inane content, like Shag, Marry, Kill. It's like, oh, God, so dull. Watch this. I would Shag. Wait! Are you ready?
Starting point is 01:31:42 Yeah. I would shag because I know him most and I think I'd feel more comfortable with that. So you'd be closer to orgasm instantly because you're comfortable. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:57 I know you mean. It would just be easier. We wouldn't have to any small talk we could just get down to the shagging. Blow jobs, yeah. Yeah, go on. It would be Ramesh. Whoa!
Starting point is 01:32:06 Oh my God. What did you think I was going to say? I didn't. No, I just was so excited to send it to whoever the winner was. But that doesn't mean that I want to kill. I know. Kill is really rough. Kill is bad.
Starting point is 01:32:19 I mean, it's really, that's really hot. I'm sending this to... Rob Beckett's, like, hilarious. And I don't think I could shag Rob Beckett, because he would just make me laugh the whole time. You couldn't have serious... You wouldn't be serious with him in any way, shape of war. Not like I'm into really serious sex, but I'm just saying...
Starting point is 01:32:34 You like to roleplay is what you're saying. No. No, it's not that, but it's just... I think, I don't know. I know what you mean. So I'm friends with Rob's wife, Lou. And for that reason, I couldn't chag him. And I would have to... I know, Lisa, now you're making me feel really bad. I'm going to marry Ramesh.
Starting point is 01:32:50 You're going to marry Ramesh. I would marry Ramesh. He's great, isn't he? I mean, there's sort of like, oh, let's look through our phones. First screenshot that you have saved on your phone. So, I'm going to do it too. I'm going to join you. Screen. Oh, screenshots. It's in media types. Oh, wow. I have 13,000. Oh my god, this is hilarious. I've actually got a picture, and it serves him right, of my husband.
Starting point is 01:33:17 What's he doing? Do you want to see? I don't have a screenshot this. It must have been on a picture that the family have sent on WhatsApp. That's my husband, Damborwin. Oh. With a fringe. He's so cute.
Starting point is 01:33:28 With a little fringe. And he's got the same expression that he usually has now. Kind of blank. Just, you know, pensive. He's like making plans. Making plans. Yeah. It's just not good content.
Starting point is 01:33:41 Is it Lauren? It's just not good content. There's a few things we need to discuss about this. The show goes out at 7 or 8 a.m. So first of all, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, you're messed up. Don't go up against Mike Graham. You've not got a cat's chance in Hal Holly. By the way, I'm on his show tomorrow morning because he's taken issue about what I've said about him in regards to restore Britain. So he's asked me on and I'll go on and we'll have a respectful disagreement because this is
Starting point is 01:34:11 what the independent media is about, Holly, right? Having these discussions. Talking of Mike, I do love Mike, but I still worry. Mike has that conditioning and he thinks from the mainstream that reformer the answer. Personally, I'm restore all the way. But Holly has got a show that comes out at seven or eight in the morning, which three people are watching. You don't say those kind of words. I think they're really rude words.
Starting point is 01:34:37 If I said those on screen, my mom would go bananas. I find that crass way of talking. It's not funny. It's not intelligent and it doesn't need to be said. I'm not a square, but I just don't find that actually a way to respectfully produce content for an audience. So they're trying to make this show. They're trying to do like five different shows. Talk together, cook together, dressed together. What? We don't want to do anything together with you, Holly. And this has exposed her. They have. got it so wrong. You don't start talking about who you're going to sleep with when you're a married woman playing this game. When people are likely the three people watching are streaming this
Starting point is 01:35:22 having their breakfast. I mean, it's the biggest disaster. I just, Dan, we know who's been paid to do the PR for this. And I'm not going to lie, they've done a good campaign. But here within is the bombshell. This campaign would have cost thousands and thousands. of pounds. I can't remember seeing a blanket PR campaign like the one Holly Willoughby has done. I've not seen one like that for some time. And it has made no difference whatsoever. I take comfort in that, knowing that if there are people watching and they think, I'd really like to do YouTube, or I'd like to do social media presenting and cover things that are going on in the ground, you know, patriots and they don't have Dan Baldwin, Holly's husband, who's a multi-millionaire
Starting point is 01:36:14 supplier to the BBC, and they don't have a casting director and a staff of 30. Well, anyone watching this, or your children or grandchildren, people don't want Holly Willoughby. And so actually, this conversation isn't necessarily about Holly Willoughby. It's more about how times have changed. And I think there is a real moment where we all feel connected to just wanting the honest truth. We don't want surface level, Tosh. Very good point, which is why everyone must follow. Lauren, let's get now to our greatest Britain and union jackass reveal. Although I want to share some of the outspoken community's views first in terms of this Rupert Lowe.
Starting point is 01:37:05 exclusive interview we had earlier. Thank you for your superchats. MS. Coral Jade says, that's my leader. Restore Britain. Aim high, vote low. Simon Brandy, 9662 says, give Nigel a chance. There's bitterness on both sides. It's time for both men to man. Honestly, this back and forth is already becoming cringe. Real men don't act like this. Meet up. argue it out. Marlick McLean adds many of the working class people of the country went with reforms simply that it was the best of a bad bunch till Rupert came along. Most Unico 1 says it's obvious, it's absolutely ludicrous that Nigel Farage can't get over his own ego for one moment to actually see what would be best for the country.
Starting point is 01:37:49 And Steffi 8-110-0 says Farage, the mirage and the culture of reform cons are unelectable, disingenuous dictators who will take your guaranteed human rights and throw you to the pack, blatant wolves. Okay, so the Union Jackass has been super close all day. Lauren nominated Holly Willoughby for all of the reasons we have just discussed. I nominated Prince Harry for his lame rehabilitation campaign
Starting point is 01:38:16 being pushed by the Daily Mirror and the rest of the MSM and Sarah White, the independent journalist who will be here tomorrow, nominated Zia Yusuf, returning up in Ceuta just like politicians do, but leaving before the reality on the ground unfolded, if you're going to report on a crisis, you need to witness the whole picture, not just the part that makes the headline.
Starting point is 01:38:33 And this has been Lauren, one of our closest results in a very long time. It's been changing throughout the course of the show actually. And yeah, I haven't seen it this close for some time. So Lauren, you were going to win at some point with Holly. But unfortunately, by the end of the show, she just snuck in third place, 31% of the vote. The runner up. Zia Yusuf with 33% of the vote. And I guess I'm very happy. Look how close that was. because Prince Harry, the worst Britain in the world today with 36% of the vote. But Lauren, you don't really disagree with that, do you? Because, I mean, come on.
Starting point is 01:39:10 He's had a catastrophic few days. Look, all three of them are awful. I think Prince Harry is awful. But I'll tell you who I think. Talking of the Holly situation, Sarah White, could you imagine if she did a show? I love that woman. I love her bravery. I love her resilience.
Starting point is 01:39:28 And she's real. That is the kind of show. She could do it in her living room, on her phone. It would still get more hits, more subscribers than Holly. I love that. I think we should encourage Sarah to do her own. Absolutely. And do you know what's so interesting?
Starting point is 01:39:47 Because Sarah's going to be here tomorrow because she's actually just returned from Ciuta. So she's been doing some brilliant on the ground reporting. She's got the most incredible footage. And it's so funny you say that, Lauren, because we were discussing over the weekend. Well, actually, what could you? your channel be called. And so I think she is, she is actively looking at that, which is great news. But I think where Sarah is absolutely like at her best is when she is on the ground, on the scene, reporting what the mainstream will not show you. So I'm really, really looking
Starting point is 01:40:19 forward to having her. I saw her stuff from Spain and I couldn't go to Spain because it's summer holidays with the kids. But she was just absolutely smashing it. She's been out to Belfast. And I would really encourage everyone as well. People like Sarah and the nowhere photographer and various other people, A.Y. Audits, these kind of trips, it's a hell of a lot of work. You're putting your safety at risk. And so in any way that you are able to support these people, whether it's a, you know, subscribing to their channel or promoting their work on social media,
Starting point is 01:40:56 I think it's so important because we would never, ever get, like this had it not been for Sarah and then seeing it on shows like Outspoken and seeing it on X and YouTube. Absolutely. Very, very good message, Lauren. Today's Greatest Britain was a very easy choice for me. Rod Little. We really needed him. Genuinely, we really needed him in the same way that we needed Anne Whittickham. This country needed Rod Little and the loss will be felt very deeply. only 66 years of age, dead after a short illness. Really, really upsetting news. Lauren the Insider, thank you so much for keeping us company on this very, very big news day.
