Playing the long game is something that I have mastered.
And on today's episode, I'm going to be telling you why playing the long game in your career
and with your goals and with your life and branding yourself and becoming the greatest
version of you is the whole point of life.
This is the game of life.
I truly believe that part of the fun of living life is the journey and the climb to get to the destination of where you want to go.
And when you have a really big goal set out in front of you, the whole beauty of life and the whole
point of that goal is the climb, is the journey to that goal. We get so frustrated sometimes when
there are delays and road bumps and blocks when we're trying to manifest something big and we're
trying to work towards something specific, when in reality the whole point of life and learning
about ourselves and building our strength and our character and having experiences all comes down
to playing the long game and understanding that the journey is the most exciting part and the
journey is what is going to make your life interesting and special and unique and make your story
stand out from the rest. You are here to do really big things. If you're watching this episode right
now and you found me, it is destiny that you found me and came to my podcast because this episode
is really going to talk about why you are different and you're built differently and you're wired
differently to do incredible things with your life and your career and build a future that you
truly love. It's easy to get frustrated when things are taking longer than planned and things feel
slower than usual or things feel blocked or stuck. I'd like to say that I'm really good at
thinking long term. I started my podcast three years ago. I had a lot of different companies and brands
and people reaching out to me. There were a few agencies that wanted to sign me and represent me and
manage me. And then there were a couple of big podcast networks that wanted to offer me
money to be under their umbrella and be under their network. At the time, I really didn't have any
money. Like, I was struggling financially. I had just gotten out of a relationship and my back was
up against the wall. There was so many changes happening in my life. It would have been so easy for me
to sign a deal with someone just for the sake of getting a check, knowing that I was going to
have an income and put myself in a more financially stable position. I could have chosen that road and
I could have gone down that path, but something in my gut literally was like, no, you're not doing
that. You're going to have to figure something else out because you have to think long term. When you're
building a brand that feels special to you or when you're working towards something that feels
really important to you, it's part of your soul's mission, right? It's almost ingrained in you.
And when your brand is really important to you and you've put your blood, sweat, and tears into it,
the last thing you want to do is rush the process and sign a piece of paper that has a bunch
of terms that you actually don't align with or sell out your brand and have to post a million
ads and, you know, water down the authenticity that you've created for your community. You want to
think smart when it comes to building your future. And this is something that I've always
prioritized over quick cash and over signing a contract just for the sake of making money or
rushing the process on things just because there are quicker ways and shortcuts to doing
things. And a lot of people have asked me like, why haven't you signed with anyone? Your podcast
is huge and you could be making millions of dollars signing to this person and posting X amount
of brands on your episodes, et cetera. You get it. It was never just about the money for me.
Obviously, ideally, I would love to sign a major contract in the future with a brand or multiple
brands that I love and do things strategically in the way that makes sense for me. But at the
time, it's also about building a community based on good values, based on my values, and
authenticity and integrity. So I wanted to make an episode talking about playing the long game
in life because in a world that's become so rushed and fast-paced and has made us feel like
we're always falling behind and we're never doing enough and we're, you know, moving too slowly.
There is a beauty in taking your time and not rushing and really grounding your energy
and who you are and knowing that every move is strategic while you're building your future
and while you're laying the bricks and setting the foundation for your success.
Every single move I've made in my career has been a move where I know long term, everything
is going to work out and be okay.
I've never forced a decision that I didn't want to make.
And the reason is because when I'm working, I'm always operating from my intuition and
I'm always operating purely from my good intentions.
have good values in place as you're starting to work on something that's important to you,
you will not waver from what you want and what you're looking for. I was also thinking about this
and how it applies to relationships, right? As I've gotten older, my boundaries and my values
as a woman have changed drastically to the point now where they're so solid that the same way I
wouldn't allow some random guy into my life and to date some random person that doesn't align with me
is the same way I feel about the decisions I make at work and in my career and in my business.
And in the future, who I'm going to collaborate with, who I'm going to hire, right?
There are so many decisions in life that you're going to have to make and that you're going to be faced with.
And they're going to be really important decisions that will change your future.
So in order to make these big decisions and to reach your goals, you're going to have to get clear on your values and really who you are as a person and be strong enough to stand by them always in.
in every decision that you make.
This will protect you.
Your values will actually protect you so much
from being rash and trying to rush things
that shouldn't be rushed and trying to floor parts of your life
that need more time to compound and to grow
and to scale slowly before you get to the top of the mountain.
You get to the top of your success.
Building for the long term requires a lot of patience.
It requires a shit ton of patience.
And one of the biggest takeaways I could say, before we really dive into this episode of how we're going to play it for the long term and really get you in this mindset of thinking long term and thinking big picture, one of the most valuable takeaways I've had from building this podcast and building out my brand and working constantly as an entrepreneur is this concept of patience and understanding that Rome wasn't built in a day.
you can't expect the most long-term significant things that are permanent and cemented in your life to happen overnight.
You have to lay out the solid foundation and understand that the best things and the long-term things that are going to last a lifetime and that are going to carry you into the next 10 years of your life or 20 years of your life are going to take some time.
And some of the best, most authentic brands that you see that have lasted 100 years have been built on really solid.
foundations where people were in it for the long-term game. Now, if you're the type of person who has
no patience and likes to see results literally immediately and you get frustrated very easily
and want to give up really easily, this episode is for you. I have my moments too where if I don't
see results immediately, I freak out. Because as I said, nowadays on social media, we see these
quick gains and we see people going viral all the time when we see these people, you know,
doing less and getting more when they're not really doing anything. And we see people blowing up
overnight. But majority of the time, those people will fade out unless they have a strategy in line
and a strategy in place to play it out long term. Okay. Most quick viral videos and people that you see
blowing up, unless they have a long term plan in place and they're committed every day in and out
working their ass off to achieve long-term gains from those videos, the brand isn't going to last.
It's going to fall apart. And that's something you have to consider if you are looking to build
a personal brand. If you are looking to own your own business and be an entrepreneur or do
something creative for yourself independently, right? You have to understand that there has to be a
plan. There has to be a plan in place. There's going to be a lot of commitment on your end necessary
to play it out long term and a lot of ambition.
You need to be ambitious and you need to be hungry for it and you need to want it bad enough.
A lot of people will question me and they're like,
how did you go from zero to one million followers on TikTok?
And how did you build your Instagram to over a million followers?
How are you able to fly business class everywhere you go and travel the world
and be able to afford the life that you live?
And my answer to that is it was years of building and years of things.
figuring shit out and years of hustling and years where I made zero dollars and a lot of moments
where I failed at things. It's a lot of experimenting and being someone who is not afraid to take
risks, okay? That's another huge thing, right? A lot of people, they want this big life and they want
to have complete freedom and yet they're too afraid to take the risk because they're afraid
of failing and they like their security. And that's okay. Not everyone is willing to take those
risks. Okay. I know tons of people and I have tons of friends and people that I love dearly that
would never want to be in my position because a lot of the time it is your backs up against the wall
and you're, you know, doing things that might not make a lot of sense to majority of people.
And sometimes you feel like you're going absolutely fucking insane and you're going crazy because you're
like, am I doing the right thing, right? You're always having to trust your own sense of self
versus looking at what everyone else is doing and being given and handed a schedule.
Sometimes it's really hard to stay motivated as well because there's no one telling me what to do.
If you're the type of person who thrives on structure and stability and routine,
this type of lifestyle, right, playing the long-term game and building a business for yourself
and creating this, you know, business for yourself or whatever you're trying to build right now,
it might not be for you.
if you're the type of person who likes to play it really safe.
It just might not be for you.
It might actually burn you out and freak you out.
And that's okay, right?
Everyone is different.
We all have a different path.
We all have different purposes and reasons of why we do the things that we do.
And everyone deserves to be happy doing what they want to do and what makes them feel aligned.
Sometimes if you force yourself to be an entrepreneur and it's not in your heart and you don't have that in you to take risks,
there is nothing wrong with not being an entrepreneur.
I also want to clear that up before we really get into today's episode.
There is nothing wrong with not wanting to build your own business and to work for someone else is
also totally fine and acceptable.
And if that makes you feel good and makes you feel in alignment and makes you feel like
you have enough freedom where you can do that and then have your own time to just rest and
chill, that's okay too.
We're all different and unique and that's what makes us special.
But this episode is really about playing the long game.
even if you're currently working for someone else and you're currently in a job that you don't want to be in anymore,
this episode is for you if you plan on eventually leaving and starting your own thing as well, right?
It's playing the long game and understanding that the money you're making now,
even if you're working at a company and you're not truly happy or fulfilled deep inside,
it's playing the long-term thinking game where you're saving money and you're giving yourself enough
wiggle room to eventually take a risk and do your own thing. That's another path you can go down
and that's something a lot of people I know have done as well. So let's really get into it.
All right. When you're playing the long game with a business or a brand, one of the biggest and
smartest things you could do is protect your energy while you are working, while you are
hustling and grinding out, okay? A lot of people are going to have something to say. It happens all the time.
going to be a lot of people, people with input that want to comment on the things that you are
building and doing. And that is why I've always made a point of saying on like so many of my
episodes to keep your plans to yourself and keep your mouth shut when it comes to your biggest
goals and dreams and lock in and put your head down and focus on you and what you need to get
done and your tasks that you need to complete for the day. Stop draining and leaking your energy
to other people that aren't going to understand your vision. Okay. This is the beginning.
steps of playing the long-term game and probably one of the most important factors in playing
the long-term game. Stop telling people your long-term plans because what ends up happening is
even if they are happy for you, your brain, when you start leaking out all of your plans
and things that you want to do and all of your manifestations and your goals, your brain is leaking
the manifestation and thinks that you've already completed the task. I've noticed such a
difference in my productivity levels when I keep my plans to myself and I hone in on my
my own energy and I get everything done. I don't speak of what I'm doing throughout the day to anyone.
You can ask any of my friends and anyone in my family. No one knows what I'm up to or what I'm doing
80% of the time. I am a very private person, even though I'm a very public social media person
in a lot of ways. I'm a very private person when it comes to my daily rituals and schedule and
routines. And I do that on purpose. Unless you see me out and about, there are people that rarely
what I'm working on or what's going on inside my brain, okay?
There was someone I had a work call with a couple of months back and they were trying to offer
me a business deal and I was just like not really that interested.
But one of the things they kept asking me and grilling me on is like, what are you working
on right now?
What are you working on?
And I was like, I'm not telling you.
Like I'm not telling you what I'm working on.
I was like, you'll just know, you'll just know what I'm working on when it's public information.
You don't need to share everything with everyone.
I'm a Gemini rising, okay?
I yap and I yap and I used to be the type of person that would say things before I did them.
And then what ended up happening was I started lacking the motivation to actually do the things I said I was going to do to people.
And it made me feel like I let myself down and then I let other people down around me because I didn't deliver what I had said I wanted to do.
So my best suggestion to you as you're thinking of the long term goals and plans you have for yourself and you're starting to lay out the foundation and, you know, write down the things that you want to accomplish.
next several months, keep it to yourself. It's between you and your destiny. It's between you
and your higher self. That's it. The next thing that pertains to protecting your energy as you're
strategizing your business and you're strategizing what you want to do is to stop looking at other
people's shit online and what they're accomplishing. If you're the type of person who gets
easily discouraged by seeing other people's wins and you tend to get a little bitter or
envious and it like kind of hurts you or affects you in a negative way when you see other people
doing really well because maybe you're not where you want to be yet. Just mute people and move on
and stop consuming that content. I'm going to tell you something about social media and this is
something that is not new information, but most of what you see is not actually what's going on
and like not the full picture of what's going on in someone's life and reality, okay? There are people
who are posting lives that look unattainable and luxurious and incredible and they're miserable.
There are people that are posting a million couple photos and you think that they're in the
healthiest, happiest, most fun relationship of all time. And it's really unhealthy behind closed
doors and really toxic behind closed doors. Okay. I was in a relationship like that at a point in
my life. There are people that post that they've bought all of these designer things and they're getting
all of these gifts sent to them and whatever. You see all of this.
crap online all of the time.
And then you think that you're behind or you think that you're missing something or you're
confused that you're not where this person is, right?
The reality of a situation is you have no idea what's going on in someone else's actual
life.
Unless you are their closest friend and you know absolutely everything about this person face
to face, you really don't know what someone's life is.
And a lot of people I know make assumptions about me and they look at my Instagram and
they think my life and my personality and everything I put out on.
online is perfect and I'm always confident and I'm always calm and everything is just amazing
all of the time.
And although I will say I've worked really hard for a lot of the things that I post and
I do have an amazing life and I am very grateful, there are a lot of moments and periods of
time in my life, long, long stretches of time in my life where I was not okay.
So my point is it's just pointless to get wrapped up in the outside world, especially if you're
trying to really build your own brand and build your own life and get to where you want to,
just don't compare your life to anyone else's.
Trust me, don't do it.
Most of the time, what you're doing is comparing yourself to something that's not even real.
So just be mindful of that.
The next thing about playing the long-term game is building a system for yourself, a system
for yourself that works.
And what do I mean by a system?
I mean a routine that is so solid that works for you that makes you the most efficient.
When I am in my workflow routine, there are so many non-negotiables within that system,
meaning I have to wake up at a certain hour now and I have to go to the gym first thing in the
morning.
I can't skip the gym because I know that my health is a huge priority and my energy levels
are a huge priority as I'm building my brand.
And I also set up a schedule for myself that is going to guide me throughout the day
and through every hour.
And I started making a ton of lists about what I have to do every single day so I don't
forget anything, so I don't miss any steps.
And it's created this airtight closed system for myself where I am my most efficient and
I'm operating at the highest efficiency.
I shut out all distractions.
I turn my phone on airplane mode for several hours of the day when I'm working,
especially when I'm in Bali.
I am in my workflow.
Okay.
So if you start to build a routine.
for yourself where you are doing the same things on repeat for multiple months, it is inevitable that
results will follow and you will become successful doing whatever it is you're doing and whatever
you're working on. You will become successful at it if you are consistent and you have this system
in place and locked in place. Okay. It has to be like breathing. You have to have this routine day in
and day out and commit to it. This is something that I've incorporated into my life recently too because I used to be
this type of person who would just wing it and go with the flow. And although that's amazing and it feels
very freeing to do that sometimes, there's something else I realized about me and my happiness. My happiness
is tied to my level of productivity. If I'm not working towards something that feels important to me
or completing a task that feels significant to me or doing something to occupy my brain in a healthy way,
I don't feel as good about myself. And this is just how the brain really works. It works on a reward system.
if you complete a task, you feel better.
So for me, having a system in place where I know at this time I'm waking up,
at this time I'm going to the gym, at this time I'm eating breakfast,
at this time I'm taking a shower,
it creates a system that makes you more efficient and you will show it better in every
single area of your life.
By also having everything in place and being more organized and knowing what I'm doing
at every given hour of a day, even when I go to bed, I'm like, okay, I'm going to bed
at 10 p.m. I have friends on. I watch friends for an hour.
and then I go to sleep after that.
I take my magnesium, I drink a hot tea, and I go to bed.
And I wake up at 6.30 a.m. and I go to the gym.
And it's a beautiful cycle where it just keeps going and going.
And it's created this system for myself that feels like I'm the best version of myself.
And it's making me more consistent and making me more productive.
And you start to feel really confident about your mission and your business and what you're working on.
The next thing is you have to be willing to push through the failures or things that aren't working.
An example of this is when I started TikTok and all of my videos were tanking for the first few weeks I was on the app.
I was doing those dances that people do and I was like, this app sucks.
Like I would never use this app because I don't know how to dance and I feel like a freak.
And I was so out of alignment because I was copying these dancing TikToks thinking that, like,
like maybe I would go viral or maybe that I would somehow gain success from it.
But you know in your soul when something just isn't aligned with you.
So I took a pause and I was like, I'm not going to use this app at all.
But then a few days later, I really was thinking about what I could do on the app because
there was really nothing to do.
It was during COVID.
And I was like, why not just be myself?
Point blank.
Why not just be myself?
And so I started posting voiceovers of my dating story times.
That's how this whole podcast started from TikTok.
because I was posting my dating story times.
I was sharing a lot about my life in New York
and growing up in New York and living a life in Manhattan
and having my Carrie Bradshaw sex in the city type of experiences there,
which I did get a little bit in trouble for.
A few of the guys that I had made these voiceovers about
were not happy at all.
But I was just staying true to myself
and I just started yapping the way I would tell my friend a story.
Two weeks later, I think the first video I posted
got 7 million views.
And two weeks later, I had 500,000 followers on TikTok.
So the point is, authenticity, this is something also one of my friends had said to me,
and I loved it, and it's so true.
Authenticity is the highest vibration.
It's higher than love.
Being your truest, most authentic self is the highest vibration.
You're truly in alignment when you're operating from authenticity and being you,
and not looking at what anyone else is doing, and not copying trends, and not following other people
just for the sake of trying to go viral or trying to be successful.
You're so in your own lane and you're trusting your own downloads and your own intuition
that it's inevitable that you're going to be successful because if you're being authentic to
yourself, that means you're truly in spiritual alignment.
So before you decide you suck at something and before you decide to throw in the towel,
you've got to push through those little mini failures and get creative and go a little deeper
and look at it as feedback, right?
Look at the failures as pure feedback to see what you're doing wrong and course correct it.
Every time I've experimented with my content and I've experimented with anything and try different
things, something eventually worked and something eventually clicked.
Thank God I kept going and thank God I kept trying, right?
Because it's not like the first video you post.
It's going to pop off and you're going to become an influencer.
Like you have to actually really hone in on what you want and who you are and what aligns the best with you
and what content is going to feel good for you,
and be brave and bold enough to push through the videos that have no views.
If you want it bad enough, you'll do it and you'll get there and you'll figure it out.
If you are really in alignment, it'll happen.
If you are really in alignment and you're staying true to who you are, it'll happen for you.
Okay.
So that's a huge thing that I've taken away from playing the long-term game.
It's not always going to happen the second you post something and the second you try
one thing, it doesn't work, don't give up so easily, okay? If you give up really easily and you just
don't want to do it anymore, maybe it's not for you, maybe try a different career path, maybe try
something totally different. But the point is, if you want it bad enough, you will push through
and you won't give up and you'll do it. And this is your reminder. If you do really want it bad,
sometimes you just need a little push. For me, my ex-boyfriend at the time, he and I were living
together during COVID and he was like, just keep going, just keep trying stuff, just see what works
and what doesn't. He was always so supportive of me and my success and I just will never forget
how special he was to me in that sense that I had like a best friend that was pushing me and always
inspiring me to grow and take risks. So if you do have a cheerleader like that in your life,
that's amazing. And if you don't, I'll be your cheerleader. Okay. You could watch this episode again
and remind yourself and I'll remind you to keep going. The next thing with playing the long term
game is something that I needed to do recently is take a break when you need a break.
If your mental health is deteriorating and you've been pushing at something for a very, very long
time, whether it be a career thing or even a relationship, sometimes you just need space and time
to think clearly again and to get back to yourself again and to get back into alignment again.
Things always happen fast when you're in spiritual alignment.
Things always manifest really fast when you're in spiritual alignment.
and that's also why I have my master class manifest overnight
to get you into alignment overnight.
If you know, you know, okay,
that master class is literally designed
to help you feel good and confident
to get the manifestations going.
Sometimes it is necessary
if you've been doing the most and trying everything
and nothing is working
to take a step back for a minute
and re-center your energy.
And this could look like a week
and this could look like two weeks
and this could look like six months, okay?
This was me at the beginning,
of this year, I went into January thinking that I was just going to go into the podcast head on.
And I ended up deciding to take a huge step back for several months because I wasn't going to
be able to deliver.
It just felt like I was completely wiped out.
My brain was so wiped out.
I'm so glad I did that because what ended up happening was I was able to refuel.
I was able to recharge my soul and remind myself of other things that truly mattered, like being
present and nourishing my friendships and enjoying the luxuries of having a glass of wine and not
over-analyzing content and thinking about my next moves all the time. I started to appreciate
life in a totally different way after the burnout and I needed that time to get back to myself and just
understand that sometimes God or the universe puts us on a pause so we can really evaluate
weight what's important and what we value and what we want to do with our lives and what's actually
important to us in terms of success and what success looks like to us because sometimes we do things
for the sake of just showing other people that we've done it instead of doing what actually
just makes us happy and I'll never forget when I was living in London this past year I was reading
this book and I just said like universe flip me open to a page that I need to read right now and I
need to see right now. There was a quote that I flipped open to that said, when you climb to the top
of the mountain, the view is always the same. When you climb to the top of the mountain, the view is still the
same. No matter which way you cut it, the view is still the same. And it took me a second to like really
understand what that meant. I interpreted it as no matter what at the end of the day, okay,
when you've done everything you wanted to do, when you've achieved everything that you've wanted to
achieve, who you are at your core and what matters to you is always going to remain the same. And what
truly makes you happy is always going to remain the same. When I've reached very big career
milestones in my life and I've accomplished things I wanted to accomplish and I've gotten what I've
wanted in a lot of ways in my life, there was still a part of me that felt empty. And why did I
feel empty? Because what actually matters to me is completely different from my career
milestones, right? A lot of career things are ego based and knowing that our ego is satisfied. And that's
okay too, right? To have an ego and to have that drive and to want to do big things, it's part of the
human experience. But to actually understand that is very different and it'll help you approach
things differently. Because when you remove the ego out of the equation, you start to realize
what really matters the most to you. And for me, I think that burnout period where I stopped doing the
podcast, I realized that some of my happiest moments were literally just chilling with my friends
and having a coffee and taking a walk and just looking at nature.
Like literally, it sounds so cheesy, but it's so true.
And it just makes me feel like very grateful that I was able to take that time
and just understand that sometimes the lavish lifestyles and like all the fancy shit.
It's great.
It's great, right?
Making money is amazing.
And living a life filled of abundant things is incredible, no doubt about it.
But what really nourishes the soul is love and human connection and community.
And being in a garden and having a cup of coffee, it gives me this joy.
I don't get the same joy from hitting a number milestone on my podcast, if that makes sense.
It's a totally different feeling.
And that's okay, right?
I still want to be at the top.
I still want to be the best.
I still want to do big things with my career.
But just acknowledging that sometimes the rest and rejuvenation periods and taking a step back
is a beautiful thing, and it can be a blessing in a lot of ways, because it's teaching you that
not everything is about quick wins and being the best all the time. Sometimes it's just about
appreciating the moment and being present and understanding how lucky you are just to be alive.
And ironically, what that period of rest did for me was recharge me for the next era of my career
and make me feel way more grounded and spiritually stronger for the next level of my career,
which is a really amazing thing because I needed it. I'm such a different person.
Just having taken that time and taking that break, I feel way different than I did.
The next thing is it's really funny, actually, because I read this quote on someone's Instagram bio,
and it really resonated with me.
And I was like, oh, I really like that.
The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.
The way you commit to things and to people and situations and the way you are loyal to the things in your life, the people in your life,
how organized you are, how disciplined you are, how structured you are, it reflects in every area.
of your life. It really does. I've noticed that the more discipline and structure I am, my reality
has drastically shifted. My relationships have also changed. My commitment to people has changed.
When I say I'm going to be somewhere, I started showing up, whereas in the past I was a very
flaky person. You have to make things in your life non-negotiable. And this is also going to be a
separate episode I really want to make about my non-negotiables. But you have to make everything
non-negotiable for yourself. Like if you say something to someone, if you commit to something,
you're committing to it. If you say you're going to do the dishes and clean your apartment,
you're going to do it. If you're an organized person in your workspace, you're an organized
person in your relationships and your friendships and your plans with people. Everything is connected.
Everything is interconnected. And I've noticed that the more discipline and structured I am within me,
people in my life have shown up differently. My relationships have drastically improved and changed.
and I feel like I'm a more reliable friend.
To be completely transparent,
I don't think I was ever the most reliable person to people
because I was never reliable with myself.
And I didn't realize I had ADD until last year,
which is kind of insane, but I do.
And it does explain a lot
because my brain was always scattered
in a million different places with people, with work,
and a lot of the times I had trouble focusing
on one particular thing, on one particular task.
And ever since I've worked on it,
and I've really worked to improve myself.
I have felt so much more structured
in so many different areas of my life
and I've seen my reality change drastically around me.
I've also seen my productivity levels change.
I've seen my habits change.
I've seen my conversations with people
have been more honest and open.
I've built closer bonds with people
that I had tension with
because I was always scared to express myself
up until recently.
Like there are so many things that I have worked on
that I've seen change in my life now.
And it's so,
true how you treat one thing in your life is how you treat everything. And this applies to the long-term
game when you're building out your future because it is a reflection of your integrity and the
promises you keep to yourself and how disciplined you're going to be. When doing things right is your
automatic default setting and when committing to yourself is your default, there's no other choice but to
succeed. Like there's no other game plan. You're going to be successful. That is the game plan when you know,
that you're going to get shit done.
If you commit to doing the small things right,
you're going to do the medium things right,
and then you're going to be able to do the big things right.
You start to build an identity of reliability.
You feel more accountable,
and you're going to feel more confident within yourself,
and you're going to feel more stable within yourself,
and this will be your default, okay?
You're going to build an automatic identity of high integrity
and knowing that you are a person of your word,
and you can handle anything, and you're unstoppable.
and everything you do, you do it in the same way.
And you know that you're a loyal, dependable, hardworking person.
And the next thing is, how much are you inputting versus outputting every single day?
Inputs versus outputs.
Inputs are the actions that you have control over, meaning you can control what you're posting,
what you're creating.
It's the emails you send.
It's the networking connections you make.
It's all of the energy going into creation mode.
Okay?
If you are scaling something, if you're looking to make a name for yourself or make a brand for yourself, the amount of inputs you're putting out into the world is going to affect your returns and what you're seeing happen for you in your reality.
When you are putting out content and creating something and doing something for your business, not necessarily content, but anything, making a move towards your business, making that call, sending that email, whatever it is, you are creating an input.
and that is going to give you an output, right?
So the more inputs you're making, they have to be high quality.
Okay, I'm just going to give you an example when I was posting videos when I started my
social media and I started posting content.
I was delivering high premium quality content on my Instagram feed, okay?
I teamed up with my ex at the time who was an incredible photographer and I was
very lucky to have him.
And we delivered premium content onto the feed, okay?
but it was the input of doing that that gave us the return, right?
All the engagement and all the attention on my Instagram account was because the inputs were
high quality, they were valuable, and they were unique, and they were viral-worthy.
It's not necessarily about the amount of content you're putting out or the amount of
things you're doing, but the quality of the inputs and what you are putting out is really
important and significant and could make or break your future business or could really
help your future goals in any way, shape, or form. If you're constantly creating good quality
things and sending it out into the universe with intention and knowing that everything you put out
is intentional and everything that you create has an intention behind it that could get you somewhere,
that could lead you somewhere, you're going to be moving in the right direction. You're going to be
seeing results really fast, okay? A lot of the issue that I see with people that are trying to start
their online businesses or they're trying to build brands is that they're not operating from
authenticity that they're operating from scarcity mindset it's not good quality and what ends up happening is
they're not getting the results that they want because the content is shitty the content isn't good
the content isn't authentic it's not in alignment with who they are and it's not resonating and the
reason it's not resonating is because it's not coming from the heart and it's not intentional okay
people feel energy behind your content people feel energy behind posts when you don't know who's
operating the content like when you don't know
who's behind the screen, it's kind of icky, right?
It's like you don't know who the hell is posting what.
So I think a huge thing that's going to get you really far in building your business
or building your personal brand or whatever it is that you want to do right now is just being
yourself and putting your heart and soul and your authenticity and your truth and your voice
and your personality and everything amazing that you have to offer into your content
and be very intentional about what you're posting.
People can really sense it and it's going to get you a lot further in the long term.
And with that being said, that concludes today's episode of LIS.
